Jacob Dreizin runs The Dreizin Report, a recently-paywalled, “boutique” blog for discriminating shoppers of highly objective alt-news and forecasting.  An immigrant and army veteran, Jacob has worked in the political sphere and high-level BS/spin production in Washington, DC; has several graduate degrees, speaks fluent Russian; and likes to say he’s the USA’s leading (or only) independent expert on the history and “culture” of the Ukraine conflict.  Jacob also specializes in explaining the influence of economic and ideological interest groups on U.S. politics and policy, and the processes and practices of the U.S. state propaganda apparatus as it relates to foreign policy and military adventures.

The KunstlerCast theme music is the beautiful Two Rivers Waltz written and performed by Larry Unger

Hi Jim, the download link’s a dud. It goes to TheDreizinReport dot com, not an mp3 file. Fix please? Thanks. I’m really looking forward to this interview.

This guy comes across as a loudmouth bloviator…barely let the host get a word in edgewise. Give me an interview w/ Dmitry Orlov anyday.

“How many Ukrainian casualties? Let me pull some numbers outa my ass: A hundred. (nice round number) Or fifty. Or maybe a hundred and twenty two or a hundred and twenty three…” Thirteen dollars per month to subscribe to this blowhard? What a joke.

Well to use Jacob’s favorite expletive, that was fucking interesting.

I can see why you like him Jim. He’s a breath of fresh air from the younger generation to us old boomers. He’s also charming.

I think the last thing he said, in reply to your query re: the status of ‘Brandon’ (aka Robert L. Peters), was worth my investment of time to the end. There is no one in charge. That if true should make the Trump camp happy, if they actually know that is the case.

I also, at the beginning, was surprised by his take on Putin’s situation from Feb. ’22 on. Vladimir Vladimirovich is not a happy camper. He’s happier than Elensky maybe, but not otherwise too happy. As Jacob said, using a Kunstler expletive, “it’s a clusterfuck”.

So it’s beginning to resemble WW 1 where Europe was just sleep walking into the Valley of Death. And getting a lot of people killed. Lordy, Lordy!

I agree with FGB3 about the insight that nobody’s in charge in Washington. Seems plausible. It is certainly the simplest hypothesis, and hence the most likely correct. And yet, in such a power-hungry place, any position for grabbing more control gets quickly filled. Guess we’ll all know in about 9 months.

I was surprised that, when the topic of denazification was discussed, the Azov Brigade was not mentioned. The Russians seemed particularly thorough in grinding the Azovs down at Mariupol and the Azovstal plant. It seemed that they were making the most of an 80 year old grudge left over from Stalingrad.

It’s amazing how Jacob struggles answering basic questions. What should be a 30 second answer turns into a 10 minute struggle session to make any coherent point.

This guy was quite the freak show when he had a public blog.
    1) Daily he reminded subscribers that they were scrubs
    2) Daily bragged about all his money
    3) Daily begged for money as he didn’t want to do anything for free
    4) Shut down all comments on his posts as anyone that commented was a scrub
    5) Started referring to himself daily as god
    6) Blew a gasket that not enough scrubs were giving him money
    7) Daily attacked other youtube creators as scrubs
    8) Finally moved his content behind a paywall as the scrubs needed to give him more money, even though he bragged daily about all his money.

I feel sorry for the people that followed him behind his paywall. Must be a real Jim Jones freakshow.
