Pity the poor president. “Joe Biden” must decide now whether to go to war with Iran or Texas. Which will it be? Or might it be both? That Governor Abbott turns out to be the Putin of the purple sage! How does he dare interfere with the orderly flow of new voters — fine people! — across that filthy little river of his? Does he not understand that we need at least a couple million more live bodies allocated around the swing states to ensure a free and fair election?
What does Hunter (“the smartest person I know”) make of Dad’s quandary, I wonder. The world may be a disaster these days, but the White House is a bigger disaster. Can you name the White House chief of staff? Betcha can’t. Know why? He never, ever comes out and speaks to that mob in the press room. He might have to answer some difficult questions, such as: if the president’s brain is switched off more than half the time, who decides what to do with that ‘nuclear football’ they carry around with him. Is it. . . you? By the way, the chief of staff’s name is Jeff Zients. Ever heard him? Of course not. He has a page on “X”. The most recent thing he posted was July, 25, 2023. Good thing not much has happened since then.
The question then: should “Joe Biden” just go ahead and nuke Texas? “JB” is thinking: What good is the place with that Putin wannabe running it? Buncha cattle and those ridiculous hats! The official head-gear of white supremacy! Probably millions of them down there, clutching their beloved guns! I’ve got news for you. Wanna play hardball? We’ve got F-16s. Try shooting one of those Vipers down with your 30-ought-6 when it’s coming in low over Plano on after-burners at eleven hundred miles an hour, bristling with Sidewinder missiles. Anyway, for a nice strip steak, go to Kansas City. Fuggedabowt Texas. Kaboom! Not a joke!
As for Iran. . . another $6-billion could keep them quiet for a while. Turns out that mullahs really like money. Do you know how many virgins you can buy for $6-billion here on Planet Earth? Why blow yourself up for them? Especially since you don’t know for a hundred percent sure that there is a place called heaven, or that it’s mainly a seraglio? By the way, why does our country (that’d be the USA) have all these little military outposts scattered around the desert wastelands of Jordan, Syria, and other lands of the Middle East? Did the one called Tower Two that got blown up a few days ago have a target painted on it? Might as well have. You think the “other side” doesn’t have satellite imagery of the terrain? Kind of looks like we’re asking for trouble. And, also by the way, how come two of the three US soldiers killed there were girls? Is that how we do war these days? With a girlie army? Who actually thinks that’s going to work?
Apparently, “Joe Biden.” Be advised: there is chatter coming out of this mysterious White House about bringing back the military draft. Remember what that is, Boomers? Remember Country Joe and the Fish singing: “Be the first one on your block to have your boy come home in a box.” That was back in the Vietnam days. Fifty-thousand-plus KIA. Only now we’ll be drafting girls (and probably some boys who want to be girls). I guess we’ll figure out now how gung-ho Gen Z really is.
You didn’t ask, but things are not going so well in our remote-control war in Ukraine against Russia (Putinland). Our Zelensky team (we own it) got completely rope-a-doped, punched itself out, its knees are buckling. Victoria Nuland, the renowned State Department girlie war-hawk, says she’s confident that Congress will pass the new $61 billion aid package for the Z-team, according to Radio Free Europe, the blob’s official propaganda outlet. The blob wants you to think that Putin wants to turn all of Europe into Putinland. I’m sure. Tori Nuland probably thinks we can save Ukraine with the fabulous girlie army and some snazzy new drones from McDonnell Douglas. Hey, it’s war, war, war. Bomb them all — Iran, Russia, Texas — and let God sort them out.
Speaking of blob propaganda outlets, here’s a doozy from blob tentacle The New York Times this Friday morning to boost your morale. Blob suck-up, Stephen Colbert, the late-night TV genius-level jester last seen dancing in a chorus line costumed as Covid-19 vaccination syringes, informs us that “Joe Biden” is catnip to the ladies because his aviator Ray-bans remind them of Robert Stack in The High and the Mighty. Silly me, I thought they loved the president for his mind. You know, “Joe Biden” is running for re-election. No, really. Not a joke.

Ah February, happy month of Black History and Groundhog Day. And it is a Leap Year to boot. Gives the masses a whole extra day to shoot and loot in Chicago and other cities! Speaking of the Groundhog, if only there was a way for that little furry creature to prognosticate whether or not we are in for another four more years of Biden, et al.
I don’t know. After 40+ years of black history month, I still don’t know anymore about it than I did before.

Frederick McKinley Jones was an American inventor, entrepreneur, engineer, winner of the National Medal of Technology, and an inductee of the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Jones innovated mobile refrigeration technology. He received 61 patents, 40 for refrigeration technology.
Humans invented tools, control of fire, clothing, language, etc., and it may have all been in Africa where, perhaps, they/we were all ‘black’– so-called.

I guess my wife’s old Italian grandmother was one of the greatest inventors of all time, then.
And flat-brimmed truckers caps you wear backwards or sideways, and jeans down below your butt crack; etc. the best inventions, like the blues and jazz (and peanut butter) happened before the “civil rights era.” Since then all we got is rap and hip-hop.
George Washington Carver’s discovery of many new uses for peanuts and peanut oil helped to hugely increase market demand for peanuts, which vastly increased the number of acres planted to peanuts. The importance of this cannot be overstated, since much Southern land had been depleted and ruined by decades of cotton monocropping. Peanuts are a legume, which means they fix nitrogen in the soil — they are a natural fertilizer and soil-builder.
Carver thus helped restore countless acres of Southern farmland. And by helping make peanuts profitable, he not only helped the land, but the families who depended on it for their livelihood.
Carver was also an artist (painter), teacher, and evangelist. He gave people not only practical ways to improve their lives, but the saving message of the Gospel as well. He was a selfless, humble, generous prince of a man — born a slave, orphaned at an early age, hard-working, highly educated, and the very image of the self-made (with God’s help) man. He is a great role model for anyone — black, white, or any other race — and in a sane and decent world, he would be held up as one of our nation’s greatest heroes.
I thought Carver did the genetic work to develop varieties of the peanut that would thrive in the USA. Or that were commercially viable.

There’s a George Washington Carver National Monument near Joplin, Missouri, which I visited once–many years ago. I was blown away by the guy’s tremendous talent, spirituality, and selflessness.
Yes, we learned that 98 percent of black “accomplishments” were related to “civil rights”.
Among the other hallmarks of black genius are inventions so obscure that we’re left scratching our heads as to why they deserve singling out as milestones… oh yeah, I forgot, it’s because they were invented by blacks. We then wrongly learned that GW Carver invented peanut butter, although he did no such thing.
I do like Elijah McCoy’s story though. In 1859, while living in Ypsilanti, Michigan the 15 year old McCoy was sent to Edinburgh, Scotland to study mechanical engineering. Huh?? I thought the US was so thoroughly RACIST that blacks had to look up to see the sidewalk.
Anyway, McCoy invented the “oil-drip-cup” to continuously lubricate locomotives (you remember that, don’t you). Superior to its many imitators, engineers soon started demanding “the Real McCoy” for their engines. Pretty cool. Really. But in the world of inventions the “oil-drip-cup” is just one of a LOT of inventions.
Oh, we also learned that without the massive contributions of blacks we could not have won WW II, WW I, the Spanish American War, the War of Southern Secession, the Mexican American War, the War of 1812, the Revolutionary war, the many Indian Wars or any other war.
Don’t forget the War of Independence.
And don’t forget, if it wasn’t for those Black women, we would have never had an Apollo program or apparently landed man on the moon. Is that perhaps where the Night at the Apollo Theatre name derives from?

Yes, the movie “Hidden Figures”. Never watched it myself, but just knowing the basic premise is more than enough for me.

Why are all you guys talking about Black History shit? Black people are boring as hell, and so is their history. I’m partially mixed and even I can’t stand Black culture or black history. I’d rather learn about Native American history, at least it’s exciting and not a load of far left liberal garbage about how Blacks created every fucking thing in world.

Every month is black history month in my house which doubles as a recording studio. My walls are covered in sound tiles bearing the likeness of my musical heroes – Robert Johnson, Bukka White, Skip James, Memphis Minnie, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Blind Willie Johnson…

Jerry Reed? Now, you’re talking. Quite possibly one of the most talented Americans of the 20th century.
Jimmie Rodgers was extremely talented but more mainstream than blues, Curtis Loew is a character in a Lynyrd Skynyrd song, Hank Williams is incomparable – and a bluesman in my opinion but not a hard-core guitar player, Merle, Chet and Jerry were the hardest-core virtuoso guitar players of their respective genres. I think Jerry Reed never really got the credit due for his ability.
I’m not throwing shade on anybody – just saying the music that makes the hair on my neck stand up happens to have been played by black people. Skip James scares the hell out of me! Blind Willie Johnson is from another planet – listen to Dark Was The Night, Cold Was The Ground.

Thanks, C.O. We like what we like. I would argue that most of those black bluesmen were pulling greatly from Jimmie Rodgers. He was dead and buried before most of them started their careers.
Jerry Reed, in my estimation, is the greatest guitar player in the history of popular music. If you can find it, look at the video of his Lightning Rod performance on The “POP” program in 1977. the quality of the video is miserable, but his performance is incredible.
Curtis Loew is a fictional character, but is based on Shorty Medlocke, the father of Rickey Medlocke, an original, and off and on member of Lynyrd Skynyrd over the years. Rickey founded the band Blackfoot after he left Lynyrd Skynyrd. Shorty was a well-known country and blues banjo player in North Florida. He supposedly taught Ronnie Van Zant how to sing, and he wrote “Train, Train,” which was Blackfoot’s biggest hit.
Also, I think you’d have to throw Roy Clark in with that group of hard-core players.
Ain’t no blues like the delta blues. St. Louie blues? Chicago blues? Rich white boy blues (lookin’ at you Eric Clapton…)? Forget it.
You left out Huddie Ledbetter – an innocent mistake I’m sure.
There are things that only blacks can do right. Delta blues, Motown, funk, reggae… But we are told to turn our backs on those accomplishments and bow down to criminal ghetto trash (lookin’ at you St. George Floyd).

Clapton is certainly a good technical player, but there is no genuine emotion to his playing. He’s famous for that live version of Crossroads, but its really flat and he isn’t a good singer. Skynyrd did a version, that I believe was recorded live at Knebworth in 1976. It blows Clapton out of the water.
My mother was fascinated to read in the books I brought home from school, all about Sojourner Truth and Harriet.
When she was growing up, there was no mention of those accomplished women to be found.
Those same books reduced Carry Nation to some nut with an axe in a cartoon.
She may have been nutty, but the significance to me was here was a woman leading a major movement back before women could not even vote, let alone run for office.
I think events like Black History Month have a negative effect because what they are really doing is validating the idea that there weren’t women and blacks doing things of significance all along.

Jerry Reed, indeed. I’ve learned several of his compositions. Some of my favorites are ‘Struttin’, Yes Ma’m’, I’ll Say She Does, ‘Winter Walkin’, ‘Baby’s Coming Home, ‘Steeplechase Lane’.
Jerry always said no one, not even Jerry, played his pieces better than Chet Atkins.

Is it black history month AGAIN?
What do you mean? We haven’t had a black history month since January 2024.
Black history is a blank slate until the first Europeans started purchasing a few of them along the west coast of Africa five centuries ago. So even the much ballayhooed “Black History Month” owes its very existence to all of us White Devils.
That’s because up until the time they were brought over here and educated by whites they spent all of their time in their home lands warring against each other, overthrowing their own governments and destroying everything. For thousands of years the black people existed. Can you list the number of great civilizations that blacks created? Ancient Ethiopia maybe? Ancient Egypt was not black, in fact, ancient Egyptians often killed black people when they wandered into their empire. These people are not able to govern themselves. Now they are here and we all know how they behave or, should I say, don’t behave.
Interestingly, I’ve noticed of late that the overwhelming majority of illegal aliens I now see on the nightly “Death of Your Country” news videos are of AFRICAN migrants.
Apparently the regime is concerned that too many native born black males have started to take the RED PILL and are showing support for Trump – something previous Republican candidates never could acheive.
So, of course, now black males must also be REPLACED by sub-Saharan Africans who will be easier to control.
I think it’s simply a matter of numbers. Blacks have killed so many of each other that it has finally begun to show in the voting numbers. That’s why they have to import new ones.
tuco, while it is undeniable that there are large numbers of blacks killing other blacks, that tends to camouflage the reality that most black Americans have never attempted to kill anyone, and mostly want the same things that the majority of white people want.
Blacks are pretty patriotic as well.
Yes the clowns like Colin Kaepernick get highlighted, but pre-Obama if you were to watch one of the football games you would see black and white Americans celebrating together, saluting the flag, cheering for the anthem, etc.
If this were not so, we would not have need Obama as president, to stir up resentment and trouble between the races.

My advice to any young woman drafted unwilling is to get pregnant at once. Even our government doesn’t send pregnant women into war zones. They can ride out their service in a nice, cushy, desk job state side. That’s what the sister of my daughter’s friend did when she found out she was going to Afganistan. In fact, she had three children during her four-year hitch.

I question how savvy Trump is about many things. There were times during covid presentations where he looked like a deer in the headlights. He seems to be a poor judge of character, and as many on this board have pointed out, he has done many bonehead things.

In Ukraine’s case, it was to further corrupt an already corrupt country and put Western (Nuland’s) puppets in charge.
In other countries, when things appear good, the blob encourages them to take on a lot of debt, and then when the business cycle goes south (and it always does, just as winter follows autumn which follows summer), these countries are in desperate straits and then are “bailed out” with all kinds of strings–and they are “owned” and controlled by the blob.
The Ukraine had debt issues. The West offered a way out with more strings and harsher repercussions than Moscow. That’s one reason why the elected President of the Ukraine leaned toward Moscow, and why the Neocans (McCain, Lindsey Graham, Nuland) engineered the coup in 2014, to change the elected government in Ukraine.
America is drowning in debt, so we are not that much better than Greece… In some regards, it’s worse on this side of the Atlantic. Americans have further to fall if the financial system collapses. The Greeks already had a minor collapse. I say 40% of society is economically worse off than they were 15 years ago! BUT, for all their dysfunction, as an “older” society, the family unit is more robust, and that was peoples’ first line of defense.

What to do… where to start?
Try to do good and lead a moral life.
Hopefully have a large, extended family where you all get along. Avoid debt.
We are going “back to the future”. JHK has written about this–the small towns in rural America.
My corollary to that: in the past, a large family was a store of wealth in this world. Today most families (in my experience) seem to be small and geographically scattered. Other than sending money, it’s hard to help your fellow family members in time of need.
If you are fortunate to live in a smaller community, where people know each other, that’s great! Many of us don’t or are not in a position to up to move to small-town America, and unless we had roots or connections there, we’d be outsiders now.
Try to live within your means, avoid excess. Try to spend your money on businesses that are local, smaller, or both. Use your small-town hardware store rather than Home Depot.
If you can, avoid patronizing businesses that push an agenda. If you must use facebook, for example (and it can be very useful for selling and buying stuff), be stingy with personal information.
Keep them in business! Even if it costs a little more. And much of the time, it costs less OVERALL.
Use CASH as much as possible. That’s the best way to fight digital currency. If you can barter, use barter. Try to conceal your activities from the prying eyes of the government and corporate America.
When confronted with the lies or stupidity, out in the world, at work, in your community, or your kids’ school, don’t go along, challenge it. Try to educate people. Not easy. Refer them to to this web site (kunstler.com, cfnand other alternative news website like antiwar.com, sonar21.com, or specific ones like substack. If you can read greek, go to pronews.gr too).
Educate them on the ills of the mRNA vaccine. Point out the contradiction in what the Federal government says and does.
Oppose gay adoption not because you dislike gay people, but because you support families and love children, and children should have the opportunity to grow up with a mother and father, not two mothers or two dads, as part of an experiment.
Insist on using English outside the home (but if you ARE bilingual, don’t ditch your other languages, and try to use them at home).
Even though it is pointless, if you have time, write your elected official on issues that matter to you, and try to get others.
The more secure your position (ie, the more you live within your means and the less vulnerable you are), the more you can do to fight the trends that the blob is trying to push across the country. They have microphone, but even in large metro areas, a lot of people are skeptical. Not a majority, but a good-size number. Even among minorities.

I don’t think or feel like it, but I am an old timer who is fortunate to live in the middle of paradise and have most of that which you promote covered (to the extent that it can be from a realistic/practical sense).
That which is not covered is family and friends, and in regard to that which I posted below.
My siblings are scattered to all four corners of the country (as you surmise). Growing up we were never exposed to politics. My read is that at least 2 (if not all 3) basically have terminal TDS.
If a person is not willing to discuss the political situation, either they are not knowledgeable enough to defend their position, they find the subject too disturbing, and/or they accept their source of information and do not respect your assessment. Basically, those who are not willing to engage have a closed mind.
The more I learn about “Joe Biden” and current world events, the more I am starting to come to the realization that a childhood friend and his siblings may be deep into the Soros Open Society Foundations (thus my interest in wanting to gain an understanding of the structure of the various NWO entities). Around the time that Russia engaged in Ukraine, we discussed this issue, and ultimately had to agree to disagree because his position was that Putin would take over the world if not stopped. He basically would disregard any information that would not support his assumption (I classify such individuals as either having an agenda, and/or a closed mind).
I was fortunate that I had a wife who was wired with an open mind, and there were few issues over the years where we had to agree to disagree. The last, and major issue, pertained to how to set our oldest daughter (43 and living at home yet) with an anxiety disorder, and a diagnosis of Asperger, up for success (how to cope with life without us). My wife’s wish was that her living arrangement and format for life would never change. It took me years to get through to her that this was unrealistic, and that the best gift we could give her would be to help her step into the adult world. Shortly after, my wife’s cancer returned and she passed away within a year. Years ago, when my wife told me that she wanted to leave the property to our oldest daughter, I told her that I didn’t think that was fair, and that she should let our youngest daughter know her wish. Our youngest daughter has always been a rebel, continually sets herself up for failure, and at this point does not communicate (even though I have told her that I wanted to leave her the businesses). Trying to think one’s way through life (having a closed mind) is not a sign of intelligence (more likely the sign of a dictator).
If 2 people are not on the same frequency, the best they can hope for is a shallow, fragile, relationship. It would be most difficult being married to a person with TDS. Politicians who cannot comprehend this are despicable human beings.

In order to fix a problem, one needs to understand how it became a problem, and why it is a problem.
In this instance, an honest objective assessment is lacking, people don’t know/understand who and/or what created the problem/s, and no one knows who is in charge to address and fix the problem/s.

Yes, the reason feminism was so much embraced in the 70s was because women were being forced to assume male roles and responsibilities (in addition the their female roles), because the men we abdicating from their masculines roles and responsibilities as fast as they could, dumping wives and children.
You also have to factor in the “sexual revolution.” While both men and women were to blame for throwing sexual constraints, the women large viewed themselves as (finally) enjoying the sexual license that men had always enjoyed. E.g., men had always been able to exploit women sexually, with impunity. There was an unspoken (and, often, spoken) assumption that men would always and everywhere behave dishonorably towards women; that, presumably, being their nature.
Thus, the female view of men, probably since time immemorial–and long predating the sexual revolution–has always been that they are constitutionally bad, dishonorable people, at least in relation to women. If it appears that modern women “hate” men (as the men so often complain these days), or at least don’t think much of them, this phenomenon should be viewed within a larger context; namely, women never did think much of men.
To a great extent, the feminism of the 70s was expressive of the long-suppressed preference/desire of women to avoid and close or long-term association with bad, dishonorable people (men). If women were self-supporting, there would be no financial need for the association, and if women were permitted sexual freedom, they need not lead celibate lives. Much of the female sexual license of the 70s was based on the revenge motive: “Guys have behaved opportunistically and dishonorably towards me and have tried to degrade me, so I will behave in the same way towards them.”
The thing is, the outcome of this way of thinking, both socially and individually, does not make anyone very happy. You wind up with a very disordered society, full of people who hold each other in contempt. You also wind up with with some very disordered–not to say actually pathological and perverted–sexual behaviors.
The solution (obviously) is for both men and women to begin behaving honorably towards each other–and demanding that the opposite sex behave honorably towards them. That’s the reason they “hate” each other FFS; they have reason to.
The mess we are in didn’t exist yet.

If anything, women’s demand for the right to vote probably arose almost entirely out of a desire and intention to set things to rights–seeing as they were already going to hell in a handbasket.
Yes. Men served women by working and raising money. Women served by taking care of the home and children.

Even Cankerpuss (who certainly presents himself as a decent man) has absolved men of any responsibility for sexual morality, insisting that women are wholly responsible for that.
Men will also be in some difficulty about assuming authority over women as long as they refuse to accept responsibility for their wives and children.
Pretty much all the responsibility for the care and support of children now falls to women, even in intact families.
Since men are mentally and morally inferior to women, as well as being indifferent to the well being of others (including their own children), no one is likely to cede authority to them.
Now, as several people mentioned above, pretty much the entire US population is suffering from an extreme deterioration in their physical health and vitality. I’ve also read that the average level of intelligence is declining.
I suspect that many of our social/cultural problems arise from this deterioration: environmental poisons, dietary deficiencies and poisons, and other factors, such as vaccines. Babies have not been commonly breast-fed since the 1950s, which has a negative impact on brain development. Television alone–without even factoring in the impact of other media–also has a negative impact on brain development. Birth-control hormones almost certainly have a negative impact on the emotional stability of the women who use them, and their presence in the water supply means they’re having the same negative impact on men. Plus quite a large percentage of people are using psychoactive prescription drugs. (And often non-prescription drugs.) I think that a large percentage of men suffer from undiagnosed autism, probably due to vaccinations. Then, on top of all that, you have all the brainwashing.
I think you could make a pretty good argument that the reason we have all these social/cultural disorders is because so many people are so damaged that they literally can’t do any better. They are literally disabled, both mentally and physically.
To a great extent, this renders the question of who should have authority over whom pretty much moot.

Men have terrible memories–although women, who find it hard to believe that anyone’s memory is really as bad as all that, are usually inclined to think that they affect to have terrible memoriess. I mean, any time you remind them of something they said or did (even if it was ten minutes ago), they will tell you they didn’t say that or didn’t do that. I’ve known a couple of women (including myself) who seriously considered recording their conversations with their husbands.
My theory is that language has no definte meaning to men–that it’s just vague, meaningless noise, whether it’s what their wives (or others) say, or what they say themselves. You’re just supposed to make vague meaningless noises every now and then, as expressions of conviviality.
Also, men’s view of a “small infraction” is quite a bit different from women’s. If you called your toddler a brat ten years ago, that was strike one, and you have two more strikes before she files for divorce. Strike two might be the time your wife was sick and asked you to bring her some aspirin, and you had a temper tantrum. (I’m sure you genuinely thought the request was unreasonable.) Or maybe it was the time you made her late to her dad’s funeral. You know, “minor” stuff.

That is, women are the civilizing influence–the influence of civility, that is–and also the influence of tradition and culture. Women are the ones who sing the songs, prepare the food, read stories like Hans Christian Anderson’s The Nightingale or Little House on the Prairie to the kids, or recite poems from memory, such as “Little Orphan Annie” on Halloween. The mother establishes the family traditions for birthdays and holidays. She forms the kids’ notions of right and wrong. She sets the expectations about how others, both at home and in the larger world, are to be treated. It is this that is, properly, civilization.

Yet, every year I have to send the County a big fat check paying them for the right to live on land that I now own. If I don’t pay those taxes they will place a lien on my property. If I don’t pay the taxes the lien will get sold to one who will pay those taxes and the new lienholder can foreclose against property I paid for and own.
We can’t even own property in this Country. We pay nearly 50% or more of our income to many varying taxes.

I find that people have become so accustomed to paying this ransom to be permitted to continue living on the property they own that they cannot think of it in terms of the truth inherent in it: you own nothing. If I could change only one thing, prohibiting property taxes might be it. If you think about it, it would change everything else as well.
First, you would have to make people see it for what it is, and understand the ways in which their lives would be different without it.
And this is why we will ultimately lose.
Go off-grid, build a parallel economy – fine. But when you can’t pay your property tax because you haven’t accepted the Private Bank Digital Currency – and all of its strings – you will find out who really owns your property. At that point your only “victory” will be to shoot – and be shot by – those who come to evict you.

Cankerpuss – are you a listener to “legalman’s” podcast? I ask because you sound a lot like him. He is a libertarian lawyer who is very black-pilled and spends every podcast explaining how utterly hopeless the current system is in America and how it is beyond reform.
He makes many of the same points you did and is an acolyte of the writings of Lysander Spooner – a very wise Southerner who figured all of this out and analyzed it at length in the post-Civil War era.
Anyway, I do not take issue with any of your points. However, when I characterize myself as a “free man” I suppose that it must be admitted that this is a relative term. So many freedoms were lost many generations before my birth that my only reference point is found in the freedoms I still enjoyed in my lifetime – and so that this the paradigm within which my statement rests.
However, over the past 61 years one thing has remained constant under this consolidationist federal government monstrosity – freedoms are being continually eroded year by year – bit by bit.
In past decades we hardly even noticed. The erosions were very incremental and the elites were careful not to stir up the natives by making big grabs that might inspire a rebellion. Now, all caution has been tossed to the winds, and many, such as myself, are rightly resentful of being deprived of the last remaining freedoms we remember enjoying in our youth. So this is what I speak of when I talk about dying a free man.

It seems to me that the loss of faith is at the heart of this. In the 19th century, robber barons used to get worried as they got older and closer to the accounting that they believed would come. Now that we’re a secular society and believe we will never be judged, most people live – economically, at least – by the Law of the Jungle, taking for themselves everything they can get and giving nothing back even as they reach the end of life. Even those who still believe tend to imagine a God who affirms them in all they wish to do. Our ancestors believed in a loving God, which in no way precluded His judging us and finding us wanting. I don’t think we can have a civilization without that kind of faith.
If you read Mark Twain’s Life on the Mississippi, he recounts several instances of tremendous outpourings of public generosity to assist people who had suffered disasters.
Generosity and a willingness to give back to the community seems to have been much more common in the 1800s, probably for several reasons. For one thing, generosity enhanced a person’s prestige. For another, the 1800s were a time when the average person enjoyed quite a bit more prosperity and opportunity for prosperity. Everyone was building homes, farms, and thriving businesses. They didn’t have electricity, and they had to put on their coat to go to the bathroom, but they were building, growing crops, and buying and selling and innovating and profiting from their labors.
Nowadays, the profits from your labor are mostly stolen, and most people are pretty close to owning nothing. Heck, the bank probably owns most of the equity in your home, and, for most people, a calculation of their assets versus their liabilities would reveal that they’re tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, in the hole.
It should be emphasized that the remarkable generosity that Twain describes was purely voluntary.

Even if the entire election is 100% rigged you still would be increasing the so-called “mandate” of the regime by expanding the margin of their “win.”
Also, in the event that the Dems do not 100% control the outcome of the election, then sitting it out contributes to their chances of victory because turnout is everything in elections. My home state of Georgia seems to be going the way of North Carolina, turning into a blue democrat stronghold. The jobs report today is typical, all service sector jobs. Who is inventing all these jobs? Is the economy reporting crew in the same situation as the DOJ, make up stuff to make the WH look good. I currently work in the land planning and development field. Let me tell you, the economy is not good. I’m barely scraping along. Small, local home building companies have folded and laid off thousands. Even the big home builders are admitting that they need to lower their home prices or they are going to go out of business. The problem is they can’t.
What’s happening now is the “investor cash” is drying up and the true home buyers we need to be buying homes can’t afford it. We are in big trouble.

I don’t see a sharp decline in housing prices for two reasons:
1. As long as the Fed continues to print foney money the value of the dollar will continue to lower and building materials will continue to rise in price. Nobody ever mentions the role of dollar devaluation in the current price of everything. It’s always blamed on supply chains and bad economics when much of it is because our money is simple worth less than it used to be.
2. It hasn’t happened in California. All of those California refugees are still selling their little shanty for a million dollars and then migrating to Utah and paying cash for their mansions. The problem is who in the hell is buying the homes in California? Oil barrons? Emirati? Chinese? As long as there are people there to pay the high prices the prices will stay high.
Only when a house sits on the market for months on end into years will the prices come down.
As a retired RE broker who has worked closely with developers, mostly big-time, I can tell you many of them will go bankrupt. For several reasons, the market has to change for the worse. Any large-scale developer will say they are successful because at some point they declared bankruptcy, and that wiped out their liabilities so they could rebuild.
I don’t know if people realize how good a tool going under is. It seems to be the modus operandi for success.

There are now rumors that U.S. B1 bombers are in the air moving toward Iraq and Syria–so quite possibly some kind of air attack will be taking place soon, perhaps as early as this evening.

Very few people, except ‘geezers,’ which I now define as 95 and older, 🙂 shoot anything in 30-06. The terminal ballistics are rather mediocre for such a heavy cartridge. I haven’t even seen one at a range in 15 years. The most popular modern calibers are .308, 6.8mm and 5.56mm (the latter for the venerable AR-15, which, by the way, is NOT full auto or a machine gun, but semi-auto, very different). No one would try to shoot down a so called ‘viper’ or an F series with any normal rifle caliber, except maybe a semi auto 50BMG by one who is an incredible, 3 sigma marksman who is also very lucky. Such vehicles and choppers would require a LAW rocket w/ thermal guidance, surprisingly readily available on the DARK WEB near you. Or, perhaps in the islamic flea markets in Minneapolis.

The article you site basically concludes that both cals are acceptable. They ignore the weight issue which I clearly referred to in my comment. Try carrying 100 rounds of 30-06 during a 10 mile hike. Also, try finding a 20 or 30 round mag for 30-06; not possible.
With that caliber you don’t need 20-30 rounds.

Re women being emotional and voting:
It surprises me that some of the women here don’t seem to care about having the power to vote.
Yeah, sure women tend to be more emotional than men. I suppose it has something to do with their hormones.
But I keep thinking about Star Trek. Spock was the extremely logical one, while Bones was the emotional one. They didn’t agree much. It took a third person, Captain Kirk, to listen to the input and make a decision on what to do. The point is that there’s a need for emotion as well as logic in actions.
Women and men are both necessary for achieving success, otherwise God would have made men capable of having children. Why have two sexes when one will do? Two is inefficient. When a man became pregnant, evolution could figure out how to deal with it.
So God must have had some other reason for creating women. If you want to find out why, just ask Him.
BTW, in the past, women weren’t necessarily considered the weaker sex or needing protecting because they were the child-bearing ones. Pregnant women often worked in the fields. When they were ready to deliver, they laid down, delivered their baby, and went back to work.
The reason women stayed home and men went hunting was because men produced testosterone and were much more aggressive. They also tended to have more muscle, a major requirement in dealing with wild animals and other enemies. Human babies are kind of unique because they need much more time to mature than other animals, so women got nurturing hormones, and although capable of hunting, were less so than men. Imagine trying to hunt mammoths carrying around a baby.
Babies were sometimes thrown to the mammoths as a distraction. The mammoths couldn’t resist the tender little morsels and often toyed with them before ingestion, giving the hunters better chances for a kill.
Often enough, if the mother objected, she too would be offered up in various portions.

Yes. Comparing those of similar station might be, but it is possible to draw distinctions between really exceptional players, great players, average, etc.
At one point, Chet Atkins said of Jerry Reed that “the student has exceeded the master.” Elvis was cutting a Jerry Reed track and had 40+ different players attempt the guitar part. Finally, the producer told Elvis that if you want the guitar part to sound like Jerry Reed, you have to get Jerry Reed.
Glen Campbell was certainly a great player, but he never pushed the instrument to the degree that Reed did and he never came close to the self-written instrumental catalogue that Reed had. Roy Clark was probably the only rival that Jerry Reed. had. I haven’t heard anything since that is close. Billy Strings is an amazing player, but of a totally different style.
This is actually more subjective than objective at a certain point.
There are bands I like where both guitar players are objectively stellar, whose parts are equally difficult to learn and get right, but where one simply sounds better to my ear. Someone else might prefer the other guy.

There’s no universe in which those things will happen by next week.

If widespread fraud makes no difference why are they insistent to deploy it to keep particular people from assuming office? N.Y.C. Launches $53M Program To Provide Migrant Families With Pre-Paid Credit Cards
New York City will be launching a $53 million program to offer migrants pre-paid credit cards.
According to reports, the goal of the Mobility Capital Finance and Mayor Eric Adams’ (D-N.Y.) office initiative is to help immigrants with their food costs while they wait for federal authorization to work.
Only bodegas, grocery stores, supermarkets, and convenience stores accept the cards.
In order to avoid being kicked out of the program, recipients must sign an affidavit promising to use the money only for food and baby supplies. Various amounts will be loaded onto cards based on the size of the family and their income.
A family of four could get $35 per day or $1,000 per month and refills for cards will be made every 28 days.
Mobility Capital Finance CEO Wole Coaxum released a statement regarding their partnership with New York City.
“MoCaFi looks forward to partnering with New York City to disburse funds for asylum seekers to purchase fresh, hot food,” Coaxum said. “MoCaFi’s goal is to expand access to financial resources for individuals excluded from banking, such as asylum seekers, while helping the local economy.”
Although the city will initially only be providing cards to 500 people, it may soon extend the program to include the estimated 15,000 migrants who call the city home.
Mayor Adams spokesperson Kayla Mamelak said that the cards will help provide families with food and baby supplies.
“Not only will this provide families with the ability to purchase fresh food for their culturally relevant diets and the baby supplies of their choosing, but the pilot program is expected to save New York City more than $600,000 per month, or more than $7.2 million annually,” Mamelak said.
The pre-paid card initiative was announced just one day after The Post disclosed an additional $137 million in agreements with city hotels to accommodate over 750 rooms for families seeking asylum.
With the arrival of 1,500 more asylum seekers last week, the city is now housing slightly over 66,000 people in response to a crisis that is projected to cost $10 billion by 2025.

It’s harder in California anyway, my neighbors car was broken into a few nights ago and she was going to shoot the guy but she didn’t do it. I then remember that she’s black and I was going to say to her “aren’t you black? I don’t think they would care if you would have shot the person. After they arrested and took him away, he was back out again within a day or two. So even if you are armed in CA the law is still strict about how people go about using a gun in self defense. Los Angeles will be doling out pre-paid debit cards to residents who have faced economic hardship due to the coronavirus lockdown, and living in the country illegally won’t disqualify you from getting the cash.
Los Angeles officials have begun accepting applications for a no-fee debit card that provides cash to residents who were already living under the poverty line before the coronavirus crisis began and have since had their incomes dramatically reduced because of the outbreak, KTLA5 reported.
The “Angeleno Cards” will be loaded with $700, $1,100, or $1,500 depending on the income and size of each household.
How does one qualify for such cards? An applicant must live within the city limits, already have been living under the federal poverty line before the COVID-19 crisis began, and have seen their income fall by at least 50% because of the viral outbreak, according to the application website.
Being an illegal alien has no bearing on one’s eligibility, Democratic Mayor Eric Garcetti made clear.
“Applicants will not be asked anything about their immigration status,” the mayor said Monday when discussing the program. “We are all Angelenos.”

Of course you have some homeless who are so mentally ill that they will attack you. One guy saw a woman getting into her car, and he tossed a bucket of hot diarrhea all over her. This was in San Fransisco. I use to work security and I dealt with psychotic homeless people practically every day. I didn’t like getting anywhere near them, especially after that one story this woman told my cousin about a homeless guy who had threaten to bite her and give her aids….. That nightmare just stuck in my head every time I had to walk up on someone homeless and make them leave the property I was securing.
The homeless are still there, I live in Sacramento California. And believe me they are still there. When I go outside and walk out my apartment complex you have massive homelessness encampments EVERYWHERE. It’s even worse downtown, they are all over in the parks, it’s just like San Fransisco, Los Angelas, but whats even more sadder is that the people flash mobbing all these stores aren’t even homeless.
The homeless people are more civilized than the people flash mobbing stores. You would think that the Homeless would just rush into these grocery stores and start grabbing food but they rather collect cans out the trash and sell them. The people stealing from stores are people who are just low lifes taking advantage of the lax laws that don’t care. I know a guy who told me he only steals from Big corporation stores but he doesn’t touch family own and small businesses because they never did any wrong. If we ever actually had a real government then laws could be passed that since corporations are considered individuals they can be tried for treason. If the corporations are found guilty of treason their assets can be seized and the funds used for things like healthcare, housing, etc. for actual citizens. They could even have like a grant program where funds would be given to micro businesses. Like someone wants to open a corner coffee shop or restaurant and so forth.
All the small businesses mostly got screwed over because 2020. The ones that were mainly owned by families and not these big corporations.

I think it is because the corporations and the government are so intertwined. Think about all of the members of Congress who leave office and go sit on corporate boards and some even go back into Congress later. It’s a revolving door. Capitalism in its purer form will become crony. That is the nature of things usually when power starts to get really concentrated. And obviously the checks and balances are not working. I have no issues with free enterprise though I think it is best at the mom and pop shop local level. Large corporations simply are a problem. I am not convinced that the public interest and profit are totally incompatible. But I also am under no illusions that profits can undermine the public interest.

I’ve been reading all your posts over the last several days. I know I attacked you in one of your first posts – over Israel, but this is not about that.
To me you’re still a kid. I’m going to be 79 in around 3 months, so I feel you need a little attitude sharpening (this is not meant as criticism). Over many years, at least in my experience, I’ve come to realize that the world is the way it is, not the way I want it to be. It’s my responsibility to accept that, and I do. That’s not to say I like it, but that’s how the universe works.
I was just like you when I was young, angry and upset, and when I learned about the reality of life, I realized that particular attitude was not going to help me get along, so I accepted that I probably would never be truly satisfied with the way things are. But, see, the universe doesn’t care whether or not I’m satisfied. It’s a hard lesson to learn.
But the good thing is that you have choices. You can accept life for what it is; you can move somewhere else; or you can try to change the things you don’t like about our society.
Remember this: Success isn’t about getting your goals met, it’s about trying. You can always list the reasons why you can’t do something. Surely you’ve heard the saying that it’s better to have loved and lost than never having tried at all. Well, maybe it’s time you do something about that.

Also I’d like to point out that I forgot what was said between you and I regarding that whole Israel scenario. Truth is I see Israel the same as I see any nation that feels it has the right and authority to do what it wants at my expense. You are right in a sense that I’m a lot younger than you are so I’m likely to display levels of rage that’s different from other users here who may just do a better job than me hiding it or not showing it as much.
Whether this is a good or bad thing I wouldn’t know. I’ve had conversations with a lot of people about a lot of this stuff on different forums. And I talk to my mother a lot about political matters and things that are going on in the world that neither of us like and we both equally share the same amount of hatred for those governing society.
If you talked to her about Newsom she’ll tell you in heated detail how she feels about this man and it wouldn’t be in a ladylike tone either for a 60+ year old, she was serious about the umbrella thing.

When I mentioned how my grandmother would hit you in the face. That was an expression that she’s notorious for exploding if something makes her upset. When I was 17 I remember she was upset with someone I can’t remember who. But I just know she said out loud “I’m going to kick that mutha fuckers ass!” and she’s the mother of the church but when she said this. My mom was shocked and said “Watch your mouth! You’re suppose to be the mother of the church, and you’re talking like that!” And my grandmother replied “I’m your mother, dont’ tell me to watch my mouth!
