If the ads on the Superbowl each year are like a Rorschach test for the nation’s mental condition, then this year’s ad-roll was a cavalcade of frantic hallucinations suggesting a near-complete detachment from reality for an audience of ADD-disabled cell phone slaves locked into a Big Tech induced consensus trance. You could barely tell what these advertisers were trying to sell in their commercials, the psychotic dazzle of half-second jump-cuts was so ferocious. One interesting note, though: people of non-color (PONCs) seem to have been magically sucked out of the universe. There, that fixed things for everybody else.
Snoop Dog’s half-time house party — Hollywood’s G-rated version of a BLM riot — heralded a real riot later on in downtown LA after the Rams’ victory. Fans lit-up a metro bus and tagged it with spray-paint. The police moved in… objects were thrown at them. I’m just sorry that Snoop didn’t bring out his friend and sometime co-star Martha Stewart to twerk for the multitudes — while, say, whipping up a pumpkin mousse. That might have brought the country together after all these months of rancor. But, like I said, sorry, PONCs need not apply. Nor did Da Dawg invite onstage my favorite new pop star, Ski Mask the Slump God, composer of the hits “Faucet Failure” and “Foot Fungus.” Maybe next year… if there is a next year….
All this hearty good fellowship marks the journey of our country from a convocation of be-wigged founding fathers wielding quill pens in defense of liberty to a security-and-surveillance state of hebephrenic zombies lurching to a kind of failure that will make the fall of the Roman Empire look like a lawn sale of someone’s dead uncle’s chattels and effects. The drain-pipe beckons… but will America answer that call… or take a different turn?
Things are turning, indeed, out there… out in the truck stops and the households fending off repossession and the small businesses struggling desperately for survival — even in the degenerate halls of government, state-by-state. The armature of Covid-19 tyranny is getting rapidly dismantled by politicians close to running for their very lives. The home-folks have had enough of their insolence and they’re sharpening the tines of their pitchforks. Events also conspire to put the schnitz on the alleged Globalists’ dream of digital tyranny — if there even is such a cabal of Globalists, which I’m not sure about, or just a coterie of feckless hacks swept along by a malefic zeitgeist, Canada’s Justin Trudeau being the poster-boy for that breed.
The timing has gone all awry on them. The Covid-19 hysteria draws to a close against their wishes to drag it on forever. Even the triple-vaccinated are sick of it — and not a few of them are sick because of it. Governments and the corrupt medical establishment won’t touch this info with a stick, but the morticians and insurance execs are hopping up and down about what looks like a supernatural die-off of folks between 18 and 60 generally not susceptible to early death. Kind of worrisome, a little bit. Anybody with half-a-brain left is declining the offer of yet another booster — though Dr. Fauci was still tirelessly selling them last week.
Mainly, though, the window-of-opportunity has closed, in the USA, anyway, for anymore vaccine passport nonsense, and with that goes the dream of roping every last citizen into a corral of total social control, including central bank digital currencies that would turn everyone into a yo-yo to be jerked-around by government.
“Joe Biden” has so far failed to deliver that war with Russia over Ukraine he promised us — which would be like two Craig’s List customers fighting over a twenty-year-old Jeep Wrangler up on blocks with the engine missing. Ukraine president Zelensky is a professional comedian, of course, so one must admire his gag of inviting “Joe Biden” to visit his country, the Gem of Eurasia, “in the coming days,” Mr. Zelensky said, “which will be a powerful signal and contribute to de-escalation.” Plus, all the pierogi and cabbage the US president can eat. All this made National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan gnash his teeth for the trouble he has gone to in prepping the sore-beset American people for World War Three.
But Mr. Sullivan has, perhaps, other things to think about. Like… what are all these offstage noises Special Counsel John Durham is making in the grand jury chambers? Something about Hillary Clinton, and the helpmeets surrounding her in the 2016 election (including especially Jake Sullivan), alleged to have fabricated the Russian collusion whopper that deranged the nation for four years and disabled a sitting president. They even managed to enlist the FBI and the CIA in that task. How’d that happen? Could Hillary have been that peevish? Anyway, it looks kind of bad for the National Security Advisor to “Joe Biden” having such an epic political fraud tacked onto his resume, with perhaps an indictment to follow. Standing by on his resignation….
Our NATO allies must be enjoying the rise of natgas prices beyond the level that many middle-class households in Euroland can afford to keep the heat on in the dead middle of winter, since they have to get so much of the stuff from Russia. Maybe jamming Ukraine into NATO, as America’s Deep State has been wishing and hoping to do, wasn’t such a great idea after all. Maybe NATO itself isn’t such a great idea anymore.
If World War Three doesn’t pan out for “JB,” there’s always a global meltdown of financial markets, banks, and currencies waiting in the wings to amuse and distract everybody from the post-Covid call for a long, hard look at what the pandemic was actually about. The story, in all its multiple, gruesome levels, has gotten away from them. So many public officials are standing naked that Washington looks like a nudist colony.

Absolutely! I retreated to my bunker for the halfway house debacle so I appreciate the wrap up from the KNN here. I had watched a FOX program earlier in the day that exposed the city of LA (Loser Assholes) for moving in the sanitation crews and piggies to forcibly evict the homeless minions living within two blocks of the stadium so the man-gods and celebrities did not have to “pretend” that all is well in the world. I’d like to know where the poor beggars were displaced to.
All in all a great description of a Great Sunday Service to Moloch to usher in 2022 – The Year of Great Death. My only fear is that they are going to give Jerkoff Joe the pillow allowing Kamy to take over, appoint HRC as VEEP, and then when Cackles drowns in her hot tub a week later, Rodan finally gets her chance to ride this flaming shit pile into the bottomless pit!
I am actually looking forward to it, because you know, I was wrong, this IS satisfaction in “I told you so”!

Back before the notion of the welfare state, the individual had little choice but to take his own destiny in his hands. It was either that or the gutter. Recall that ending NATO was one of more than a few major issues about which the atrocious Trump happens to have been correct.
We are approaching the juncture at which European leaders will have to decide whether they’d rather remain in NATO or continue to hold office. Any advantages of remaining politically and economically tied to the US are becoming increasingly dubious. Wouldn’t it be interesting to discover one day that Germany and other nations have formed a new pact that includes Russia -like the realignment in Orwell’s 1984.

Why are we in NATO? Well, if memory serves, back in late 1991, early 1992 when the USSR was falling apart and the cold war came to an end, there was talk of a (gasp!) “peace dividend” for the US. In other words, now that we didn’t have to endlessly, keep up with the Joneski’s, i.e. the Soviets, we could redirect all that weapons lucre to more worthy causes, such as infrastructure, tax and debt reduction. Heaven forbid! Quick like bunnies, the war hawks ginned up Terrorism which, they averred to their clientele, would be endless. Breaths of relief were had around the free world, except by the tax-donkeys, who pay for all this notional “protection”. Fast forward 30 years and it looks like terrorism really didn’t fill the bill. So now we’re back to finding a credible “enemy” we can fret about and use an excuse to pour more blood and treasure down into the bottomless pit. Okay, so we have fingered the guy wearing the black hat, the “bad guy”. Putin will certainly do. But, as central casting demands, you need the “good guy” too. That’s the guy who gets all the support he needs to “git’r done” – the guy where no expense is too onerous to shoulder. Just because he’s the “good guy”. NATO is supposed to fill that bill. Alas, the younger generations have no idea what NATO is and could give a flying you-know-what about NATO, Ukraine or Europe in general. So central casting has come up with the actors, but the plot is still a non starter, because, apparently unbeknownst to the directors and producers, this is 2022. I have no idea where this NATO-Ukraine gambit will go, but at least it may answer why we are in NATO.
We (the USA) are NATO. How long would/will the alliance last if the impoverished dying Global Empire can no longer afford to pay the bills and run the circular arms sales grift for the benefit of their MIC? A NATO with only one remaining member (Poland?) wouldn’t be very scary.
The rest of Europe would welcome being able to fill NordStream II pipelines with gas and rely upon affordable energy supplies for the future. Old Europe needs the natural resources of a lightly populated Russia a lot more than they need sanctions created in the vacant brain of a senile US President. A modernized Ukraine cleansed of it’s antique WWII Nazis and their American sponsors might once again become the breadbasket of the continent. And Russia, struggling to produce enough babies to avoid a demographic cliff, might welcome immigrants who look and think a bit more like them than Africans and Chinese and could become assimilated into their country and even learn their weird alphabet!

I have it on iffy authority that next year the Great American Halftime Show will lead off with a duet by Kneel Young and Joni Sniffle, singing Keep on Clottin’ in the Scree World.

When you buy life insurance from Geico even, it is not actually Geico taking the risk usually, instead they are a marketing agent for other life insurance companies. So, their exposure to life insurance is quite small.

A Life Insurer wants people to live a long time.

The half-time show said it all and had it all — grinding, slutty looking “femes” , incoherent lyrics (I use the term loosely), nothing that sounded like music and dancing that looked more like an exercise class. A great big middle finger to anyone who dared point any of this out.
If you had the Closed Caption on you would have caught every word.
We watched the whole thing with the sound off and a music track of Cat Stevens and The Beach Boys playing.

What songs indeed! Rap is not music. Music has melody and meter. Rap is only meter, a grinding, infuriating, rhythmic cacophony. Satchmo, Duke, Basie, Ella, etc. are rolling in their graves over what black entertainers have come to.

The featured vehicle costs $105,900. How many of these will GM sell? Who will take out car loans for $105,900? You will need a 30 year mortgage, but I’m willing to bet these electronic marvels won’t last even 10 years. IMHO these expensive EVs are dead ends, impractical, and bad investments. If GM insists on phasing out ICE vehicles and make strictly EVs, as they are claiming, they will go out of business.

I thought multi-culturalism was actually pretty cool in that there was so much to learn from other cultures. I still think that. I will stand my ground and not let the tag ‘racist’ settle on my being simply because I believe that how we live our lives identifies us more than our racial composition.
It lead me to think of how I’ve lived my life, and I concluded that I’ve lived my life for the others in my life I’ve loved, or to whom I had a duty, or an obligation. What I’ve received as a result is far greater than that which I would have acquired living for myself.

I still can’t believer people watch the Super Bowl halftime show. I’m always in the kitchen with friends and family, eating hot dogs and chips and drinking beer. If I watched the halftime show I’d lose my apatite.
I remember watching one as I passed medications at a local skilled nursing facility. There was a lot of crotch camerawork and the music was frenetic, tuneless dreck. I noticed that the Silent Generation audience at that facility did not care for it, either.
Professional team sportsball is not my thing at all, but I always manage to get a glimpse of the halftime spectacle. I haven’t seen an act that I cared for since before the Black-Eyed Peas embarrassed themselves in 2011 or so.
I’d watch if it were marching bands and cheerleaders in cute sexy outfits. I’ll never understand why the feminists don’t complain that TV doesn’t give equal time to the female participants in the game. The NFL give all the attention to the male secondary sexual characteristics and not the female. The marching bands at halftime gave people with more cerebral skills some time to show off. My aunt used to do the baton twirling thing in front of the band, PLaying coordinated music and producing interesting patterns simultaneously takes a different kind of skill. Football used to really celebrate diverse talents and sexes, no it seems homosexual and fake.
My daughter was in marching band in high school. She played at the football games, but I only went once, for a reason I can’t remember.
First I was pissed off when the band was playing and then the football team came out and they played “Who let the dogs out” over the band song.
Then I was bored out of my mind at the actual game.
I got excited when they said there were only two minutes left. Yay!
And then that two minutes took 45 minutes because of some strange rules my husband tried to explain.

There are other contexts too: moral, psychological, practical, etc. Why are you giving them to Alba and not someone else, for example.

Amazing observations! I give the advantage to Huxley, although Orwell was onto something as well. Could it be that the tactics applied depend on the culture they’re being applied to and the phase they’re currently going through, or, even more likely, a combination of the two? Certainly the US and most of “the west” are being exposed to both methods currently, with an undercurrent of fear (Covid and the ever-present wars) providing the stick, covered nicely with all the wall to wall soothing electronic multi-media distractions our modern society provides. All of which is just now kicking into high gear. Hold on tight, it’s gonna be a very bumpy ride until all this gets sorted out, after which many of us will no longer be around to see the results.

Education is turning from learning and developing critical thinking skills to passive acceptance of the State. It started with the creation of the Dept. of Education and we are witnessing it big time today as the fight between parents and State led school boards intensifies. College education is a Woke lost cause. Stupidification is rampant, just watch Watters World.
Immigration just drives Huxley’s argument. Bring in so many people that do not comprehend the language and customs of the majority population and you do not need to use fear. Compliance to the State is automatic due to incompetence and ignorance.

You start out with the age-old existential motivator, fear, then you casually slip in the “solution” (advertising 101 technique) in the form of state and/or corporate security and safety measures (all of which you’re asked to trade a “few paltry freedoms” for, which you’ll gladly give up in return for the security blanket of protection, if not just for you, “for your loved ones”), which leads to learned helplessness, leading eventually to total apathy. Then you maintain and enhance that apathy with”bread and circuses” in the form of 24/7, wall to wall entertainment and distractions. It’s all working damn well so far, I’d say.

We are in our mid-40s and know quite a few people. Only a handful actually have property. Most people we have gotten to know who actually own something worthwhile inherited it.
Many Germans will tell you the German lifestyle is also unsustainable, particularly the brainwashed Green and SPD segment of the population, most of whom would love to see anyone socioeconomically above them stripped of their posessions and perhaps their children if the law allowed it.

The amount of terrain in North America meant that property was cheap and population density low. Huge untapped resources meant that building was relatively cheap.
That is why Europeans came to the USA, after all.
But that era is over now.
I have to say, though, that when I lived in Germany in the seventies, most people had a better quality of life than the typical American of the same era. They bought better clothing and better food and could recognize quality. Something that many Americans are missing. They took vacations in foreign countries that were nearby. They threw out a lot of decent older stuff such as furniture in order to buy brand-new “modern’ things.
Many more “life-style” amenities were part of daily life than in the States, where a lot of conspicuous consumption does not add up to Lebensqualitaet. Quite a few of my friends had houses. Their children are now about your age. I expect that for West Germans the years before the Wall came down were a kind of golden age. The Wirtschaftswunder was in full spate. Plenty of energy. No migrants except Gastarbeiter . . .
Yes, I got the metaphor. My point was that property costs so much that few can afford it, and the situation is getting worse. It is ok though as the reverse snobbery from the green indoctrination has created a new underclass who will “own nothing and be happy” in the truest sense.
The average salary in the country is around 30-35k. Purchasing power is not 1:1 when comparing to the States, but the ability to buy a decent piece of property is there for more people in the US than here. By far.
Houses in my hood go for anywhere from 700k to 3 million, and we are nowhere near a city center, nor is this a particularly ritzy area. In fact, most of the millennial city dweller types would snub their nose at us bumpkins from their run-down coffin apartments. Coffin apartments that they will rent for 1700-2000 a month for the rest of their lives. Or they can move up to the 90 qm executive model with Holzoptik flooring for 2.5k a month.
As for being into quality, I am, but most Germans I know are not. They are into getting everything as cheap as humanly possible. We are talking about people who drive 80 to 100 km to Belgium on the weekend to save 15 Euro on groceries.

Let me add also that as far as those housing prices go, if you want something that has around 180-200 qm, a fairly average size for an American house, in most suburbs anywhere near a city (with some semblance of infrastructure), you are looking at 1 million euros — and many of those properties will need work.

So when I found a UTube video of a debate between he and Christopher Hitchens, I eagerly sat to watch what I anticipated was to be a blood letting, a baring of Al’s ass of ignorance to the assembled live audience(held under the auspices of the New York Public Library)
At debate was the premise that God did not exist, and that if he did, he should be considered a celestial ass hole.
I have to tell you that Al Sharpton (in my opinion)…won the debate, and Hitchens, a noted author and atheist, was trounced…he could not defend his own premise.
Now, understand that Sharpton is not an eloquent speaker (as was Hitchens…but the essence of the debate was that Hitchens was not addressing the premise. He attacked religion, organized religion, the Bible, and impugned people who were fundamentalist…and his arguments were cogent, almost brilliant, but the issue was not organized religion, it was the existence of God, and Hitchens had no standing argument other than his attacks on man’s approach to God.
So, a newfound “respect” for Sharpton. I still thing that he is an oily, race bating bastard, but he ain’t ignorant.

A real killer of sepsis is urinary tract infections, especially in older women.
John, re urinary infections, which as you say are generally mostly in women, it is (to me anyway) not coincidental that my husband, a couple of weeks after his collapse – and therefore about 3 weeks after his booster – came down with what he thought was lower gut ache for about 3 days. He’s not a complainer when it comes to pain, so when he mentions it you already know it’s bad. He couldn’t eat for the duration, it was so bad, and he spent a lot of time in bed. On the fourth day he noticed blood in his urine and realised it was a bad bladder infection, which he treated himself with antibiotics.
So not just another instance of what these ‘vaccines’ do but another instance of a ‘vaccine’ injury that will never find its way on to a reporting system, which is why we simply have no idea how widespread these events are and never will. Plausible deniablity has been the game since the start.

Absolutely UTIs are a secondary reaction to Covid, records exist of men getting UTIs after being discharged with Covid and examples of UTIs associated with long term Covid exist. Suggest you Google “can Covid cause UTIs”.
Here goes, IMO, urine gets rid of antigens from any infection. I would lay money on the fact that the ureters, bladder and urethra have ACE2 receptors and can be attacked by the virus causing inflammation. I would also bet on the idea that s proteins from the vaxx can “attack” the bladder et al and cause inflammation. My very simple question is how can the body tell if the antigen fixing to a receptor is an s protein from an actual virus or a vaxx product? I say it will inflame for either one. If something is a reaction to the Covid virus, it can be a reaction to the vaxx.
If this one supposition could be proved along with the variability of blood stream injection with the jab ie failure on the IM model, maybe this monster can be terminated.
One more argument. It is difficult for males to get UTIs as we have 8 inches of separation from the outside world, eight or so, as opposed to females with only a half inch or so. My guess is your hubby git his infection from an internal direction, trying to clear the proteins.

Yes I agree spike proteins are totally not good, John. Where we differ is that you think it is an unfortunate error, whereas I think the vaxxes were designed to do maximum damage. Being a politician, he didn’t add that you can fool enough of the people enough of the time, and that is enough. This is the basis of American democracy.

Whether intended or not, the drive to lower the voting age and enfranchise the ghetto populations serve only to further diminish the pitiable competence of the electorate and allow the elites to keep these untermenschen out of the hair of their betters.

The less bright, less informed, and less experienced of life are easier to mold and manipulate. Who could be better than children?
If America wanted a functional democracy, which it doesn’t, it would, first, raise the voting age to 25 or 30. The idea that adolescents of eighteen with no experience of life beyond libidinous frat parties, much less sixteen-year-olds, can vote intelligently is silly. (Not that I have anything against libidinous frat parties. They just aren’t qualification for voting)
This would require a recognition that voting should be a privilege, not an entitlement and that government should be done by people able to do it.
Second, a demanding version of the old literacy test would serve wonderfully. This should demonstrate at a minimum a reading fluency of political ideas express in standard English. A reasonable grasp of world geography and American government might profitably be required. Perhaps a measured IQ of 120 or better should be in the mix.
This would make the bamboozlement and competitive shooing of the puzzled much, much harder, which is why it will never fly with the elites who find an electorate of the easily led congenial.
These measures would also screen out various minorities disproportionately. They would also ignite the resentment against the bright and cultivated that forms the bedrock of American society.
Comprehensive ignorance extends to groups many of whom are presumably well educated. Consider the following:

This shows that forty-four percent of liberals are incompetent to vote. If the misestimate is reduced to five hundred, many more believe it. Similar numbers could probably be compiled for conservatives on other questions, conspiracy theories being promising candidates.
Race is the most dangerous, destructive, and intractable problem facing America, yet these people are too stupid, lazy, inattentive, emotional, or worm-eaten by ideology to have even a faint grasp of what is happening. But they vote.
If liberals, a category including academia, the media, and a great many of the highly educated believe such wildly erroneous numbers, it is likely that blacks, a group in large part poorly educated, believe these things at a higher rate. Do you suppose convincing them that they are being slaughtered en masse improves race relations?
The very bright will always rule, though not always obviously. An IQ of 140 is said to be entry level for Wall Street. This excludes well over ninety-nine percent of the population. Mike Pompeo, while a wretched human being, was first in class at West Point and editor of the Harvard Law Review, Hillary a National Merit Finalist, putting her in the upper .5 percent of test-takers in Illinois. Bill was a Rhodes scholar.
Intellectual mediocrities will often be in prominent positions, Joe and Kamala being examples, in Congress and the White House, these being storefronts for the very smart. The brains, and the power, are in the shadows. But, methinks, a genuinely bright electorate would be less likely to anoint freaks and rogues.
Interesting question: What would be the effect of requiring an IQ of 130, the cutoff for Mensa, to vote? The idea will arouse shrieks from an American public famously resentful of excellence except in football. (I am reminded of a fellow fourteen-year-old in Athens, Alabama who, seeing me reading a book on biology, said angrily, “You ain’t no gooder’n me.”) A test for voting of course runs against the current policy of enfranchising the mentally lame and halt. Would the upper two percent of the population do a better job of electing leaders? They would certainly be much more difficult to con.

This Fred guy is spot-on. BUT…I think he is overestimating the importance of intelligence in having a fairly decent civilization and structure of governance, and underestimating the importance of morality–core values and such. I suspect that de Tocqueville’s observation that, “America is great because America is good,” is much more to the point.
For example, you couldn’t have much in the way of governmental over-reach, if the vast majority of the people was firmly of the opinion that it is IMMORAL for anyone impose their will on anyone else, other than through negative interventions to secure the community against criminal activity. (What that really means is that imposing your will on someone else is a criminal activity that will not be tolerated.) Also, the majority would need to be firmly of the opinion that you can’t take other people’s stuff–thus ruling out taxation (theft). This basic morality would also embrace some positive virtues. Basically, you need a society in which the vast majority of people would be HORRIFIED by the least taint of tyranny–or failure in matters of virtue.
I don’t think there is any direct relationship between morality and intelligence. Some of Mark Twain’s writings illustrate this; e.g., his portrait of Jim in Huckleberry Finn, and even his portrait of Huck himself. Huck was no dummy, but he did lack moral training.
I can’t see how allowing only “smart” people to vote would solve anything. (They are as likely to be immoral as dumb people.) What would go a long way towards solving the tyranny problem would be for government to have almost no power at all, due to a general belief that any exertion of government power beyond the above negative interventions would be immoral–unthinkable.
As far as decision-making–and the important question of how you make sure it is done by intelligent people–without government intrustion, that would take care of itself. Bridges would be built by people who know how to build bridges, as a pure economic imperative of a free market economy. Trade would be conducted by people who knew how to conduct trade.

You may recall a comment of mine a month or two ago about a friend I went thru school with and we both became pool shooting aficionados. He graduated near the bottom of our H.S. class, went in the Navy, then went to St Joes college, got a degree in Accounting, then to Drexel and got a Masters in Econ ,etc.
I reported how I got a phone call from him and detected that he was somewhat demented. Due to my concern that he (Dick) was living alone in Wildwood, NJ, I tracked down his sister Leslie who has now lived more than half her life in Ottawa. I assume she is a dual citizen.
I emailed her this question: What is your take on the whole truck driver thing happening in Ottawa?
Her response arrived as follows:
Where to begin ? What to say? What a mess.
We live in the city about a 25 minute walk south along Bank Street from Parliament where the demonstrators are encamped (which is by-the-way a by-law infraction, and I would be quickly removed if I parked my camper on Wellington Street in front of Parliament and decided to camp there while on a sight-seeing visit to the nation’s capital.) Here are a few of my thoughts.
In spite of the warnings that a truck caravan was coming to the center of the city for this demonstration against the vaxx mandate for truckers crossing the border from the us into Canada, the police and politicians naively assumed it would be a normal Canadian demonstration where folks would come, wave their signs, make speeches, get their point across, and go home. The trucks, especially the big rigs, should never have been allowed on the streets downtown in front of Parliament. These streets are often closed to vehicular traffic for ceremonial occasions such a royal visits, Remembrance Day, Canada Day, etc. Sadly, this so-called “freedom caravan” has been co-opted by bad-actors many of whom are right-wing, white supremacists, anti-government radicals from the US. Note the Trump flags, Confederate flags, racial slurs etc popping up, and that most of the money funding this occupation is coming from groups outside Canada. The original complaint of the truckers has morphed into complaint against all covid health mandates. It is as if these people think is you get rid of vaxx mandates, mask mandates, social distancing mandates, etc. you automatically get rid of the pandemic.
The Ottawa police have been hesitant to get physical because (1) they are outnumbered and the upper levels of government have not sent enough reinforcements and (2) quite a few of the hardliners have brought their children with them and have them living in their trucks which in my opinion is child abuse and not just from these kids breathing in diesel fumes from idling trucks 24/7 and having their ears assaulted by 90 decibel air horns all day for the first 2 weeks. Up until the state of emergency was declared, the police had little power other than issuing by-law tickets and were sadly out-numbered by the protestors many of whom have been getting more aggressive and violent. (mob mentality) It took a brave you woman whose condo is very close by to launch a class action suit to get the honking and air horn blowing to stop. The residents of Ottawa are so fed with this mess that a group not far from my house heard about a small caravan of trucks heading into the city to join the protest/occupation and sent out a social media notice to say they were headed to the intersection of Bank St & Riverside Drive to head them off and hopefully turn them away. About a thousand people showed up with ‘Go home/ We don’t want you here” signs and blocked them in so they couldn’t turn around and find another route downtown. At the end of a 9 hour standoff, the folks in the trucks were forced to remove their flags and signs and sent away. Now that IS power to the people.
This is a very sad state of affairs and so un-Canadian. Unlike the US Declaration of Independence’s reference to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, ” the Canadian constitution references “peace, order, and good government.” Sadly Canada has become more Americanized over the last number of years in less salubrious ways: political discourse has become coarser and there is more emphasis on the individual and less on the common good. I believe that much of this has happened because of the political an social climate unleashed in the US by the election of Donald Trump in 2016 and then hitting a tipping point with the fears and frustrations of 2 years of the Covid-19 pandemic.

I’ve just spent an hour listening to this excellent interview with Brian Gerrish (UKC News) and Dr David Cartland, who has resigned from the NHS because of lots of things, but primarily covid and especially jabbing kids (he’s double jabbed himself but didn’t want to take the booster). It’s really good if you’ve got time to listen to it (and don’t mind a mild West Midlands accent, although he’s now in Cornwall!).
It’s an eye opener regarding the psychology of his ex-colleagues – who have all been instructed by the GP practice not to speak to him now that he has gone. He tried to speak out and raise questions within the practice (he’s got immunology and A&E experience as well as being a GP) and colleagues would literally just walk away from him and call him names. It’s terrifying that professional people can be so thoroughly brainwashed – also that so many he claims do really know what’s going on and just work through it. There is a bit near the end where I think he said his colleagues at the practice agreed that kids shouldn’t be jabbed and the practice almost immediately went ahead and advised the kids and their parents to go to the vaxx centres. He also mentions doctors he’s spoken to elsewhere who are literally spending their whole time dealing with the problems of the triple jabbed.
I wish more of them would just walk out as well, to the point where the psycho Sajid Javid (who else would you choose as Health Secretary but a former Goldmann Sachs fella?) would be overwhelmed with their testimony.

I was under the impression that the Word was living and revelation a continual unfolding. So that the Old Testament and New Testament are essentially a circle with no defined beginning or ending point outside of God. You can’t have the new without the old nor can you have the old without the new.
The basis of both covenants is God’s Law. The old covenant had rituals and a priesthood and a temple added as teaching mechanisms, and the Israelites agreed to be bound by it to be justified. Their inability to perform caused them to be lost. Under the new covenant God promises to write the law on our hearts so that we become like Him. He will not fail.
