And so, with the unjust killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, the quest for cosmic justice resumes — that is, the justice that settles all the scores of racial grievance for all time, which, of course, is unlikely to be satisfied by any means. Mr. Floyd was killed by police officer Derek Chauvin who knelt on Mr. Floyd’s neck for eight minutes with the full force of his weight while three other officers stupidly stood by watching and failed to intervene until Mr. Floyd was dead.

This time, there was no ambiguity in the killing, unlike the 2014 shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, that sparked a season of riots. Video from a bystander’s phone shows Officer Chauvin stupidly killing Mr. Floyd. The four policemen have reportedly been fired (NBC News), but no one has been charged yet. Two days of protests and nighttime riots have commenced in that city and are now spreading to cities around the country. With Memorial Day in the rearview mirror, you might say, as the old song goes, that summer’s here and the time is right for fighting in the streets.

It appears that the Progressive Left is all for letting it rip. Their chief signaling device, The New York Times, ran this headline today: “National Guard Called as Minneapolis Erupts in Solidarity for George Floyd.”

That sounds to me a bit like a stamp-of-approval for a lawlessly violent response to an act of official stupidity. Is The Times in solidarity with the mayhem? Which raises some questions: how much rioting, looting, and arson will be enough to satisfy that sense of solidarity in the quest for justice? Three nights? Three weeks? Three months? Will it cease if and when Officer Chauvin is charged with murder or manslaughter? How much rioting, looting, and arson will the authorities in other cities allow to rip before they move to forcefully stop it? Does all this disorder amplify itself in a feedback loop as it plays out?

Those would be tough questions in ordinary times, but we’re in an extraordinary convergence of crises that includes an unresolved Covid-19 pandemic, an unprecedented economic collapse, and the furious after-effects of a failed political coup that steeped the nation in delusion, institutional breakdown, and factional enmity. Black America is not the only group in the land that has an axe to grind.

For instance, with over 30-million suddenly unemployed, facing bankruptcy one way or another, maybe even eviction and hunger, and tens of thousands of small businesses failing, what will be the public mood if the stock markets keep shooting up and up and up, as they’ve been doing for a month? Those rising share values, which enrich a tiny percentage of the public, are a direct result of the Federal Reserve inflating the national debt by “printing” money-from-thin-air. It comes in the form of bonds, the interest on which ultimately has to be paid by taxpayers. Many will not fail to notice that it smells like a scam. Will the economically floundering public revolt against it? Will they take to the streets and start burning down things other than police stations and AutoZones?

Could all that intersect with black street violence in cities across the land? A hint was suggested in cable TV video of rioters on the streets in Minneapolis hoisting a sign that said “kill all white people!” The Progressive Left has indulged and excused sentiments like that for years. (Remember New York Times editorial board hire, Sarah Jeong, tweeting “#CancelWhitePeople” and “dumbass fucking white people”?) What if those maledictions are acted out? Does the Left, including the Democratic Party, want to ignite a race war in America on top of a second great depression in a plague year?

Once cycles of violence are set in motion, they are very difficult to stop. The animosities between different groups in the USA are not so different in character from what’s been seen in other places around the world in recent times: the strife in Northern Ireland, the breakup of Yugoslavia, the civil war in Lebanon, the factional fighting in Libya, Syria, Iraq. All of them grew out of quests for cosmic justice, and all of those conflicts produced lasting damage to the societies they inflamed.

Donald Trump may appear poorly suited to presiding over such a national crackup. Many will accuse him of instigating it. Whatever he does is liable to be construed as wrong by half the nation, whether he acts decisively to put down actual insurrection, or dithers inconclusively while cities burn. His Democratic rival, Joe Biden, appears even less credibly capable of managing a crisis. He is, in fact, a Potemkin candidate for president, a stalking horse for forces and persons mysteriously awaiting emergence in Milwaukee around mid-August. It looks like some people will have to start deciding some things.

Exactly the tin foil hat may be on but it feels to staged and contrived with ready to go rioting.
When in US history has a group of people been allowed to loot and burn an entire big box store with zero consequence?

    • Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 11:54 am #

They let them burn a police station the other night. That was really dumb from our perspective but of course they have their own. Maybe they want martial law at this point.

      • shabbaranks May 29, 2020 at 12:02 pm #

Good point. You’re playing three dimensional chess as usual. Either way, the good news is that the short political career of the idiot mayor of Minneapolis appears to be topping out.

        • draupnir May 29, 2020 at 2:35 pm #

One can only be thankful for small mercies at this point. It’s not just Minneapolis now. Yesterday, it was reported that looters converged on Maplewood mall, way out in the suburbs. While closed, of course, it’s still holding plenty of goods. Unless they managed to hold them off, Old Navy has probably been emptied by now, and the poor nail salon will have to restock its entire supply of nail polish.Somebody has probably run off with the massage tables, and Cinnabon is closed, probably for good. I can, of course make cinnamon rolls much cheaper than the almost $6 they charge, but I don’t know what I’d do with so many cinnamon rolls. Barnes & Noble is probably still okay, unless they’ve torched the place. I live less than a mile from that site, and my mother is frightened. I wouldn’t have believed that the spark to set off all this tinder would land in staid, Minnesota nice, Minneapolis, and so early in the season, at that. The more violently they put this down, the more violently it will arise in other cities. What’s the over/under on Chicago or Detroit?

Chauvin has been arrested. I doubt at this point things will settle down so soon. It’s the weekend after all, and the clubs are still closed. It occurs to me that the cops ran out of that station so fast they probably didn’t remove all the arms they had stored. The rioters might be better armed today. I wish they’d burn down the Minneapolis Fed.

Both of my daughters live in St. Paul, the youngest only two blocks from the Target on University that was looted on Thursday. They both complain of sirens and helicopters keeping them awake all night, and they are both scared. My oldest granddaughter and my nephew live in Minneapolis, close enough to hear the flash-bangs and get the occasional whiff of tear gas if the breeze blows right. They have a ringside seat for the conflagration.

I’ve been talking with my family about getting out of town. We have a place to go that’s more than a tank of gas from a city. They agree there may soon be a need, but I’m sure they won’t consider it until it’s too late. They all have jobs and are still being paid.

          • Hands4u May 29, 2020 at 2:54 pm #

I am also in the area near Robert st. in W. St. Paul. Went out this morning already with the Wif and yes the police are patrolling and some shops with boarded windows but people were doing their Covid it’s gonna be OK’ routine. Got what we needed for the coming week. No escape pod for us; on furlough from the hospital until the curve flattens more and then back to working with people in pain.

          • draupnir May 29, 2020 at 3:21 pm #

Hands4u, Our grocery delivery arrived this morning. I was relieved to get the meat. Last month I couldn’t find pork. I stock up for a month at time, always have, as that’s how I get paid. I hope you have a little extra put by in case things get more difficult.

          • Hands4u May 29, 2020 at 3:46 pm #

My younger son is Vegan, and we are trying to move to a less red meat diet. He’s home from college and willing to make meals and high protein meat substitutes from scratch (which haven’t been too bad). That being said I miss grilling a nice steak every now and then. I have a few friends who left town, with their families, when the Covid became more prevalent. Many neighbors and friends staying made and donated masks to hospitals (Thank you!) Even though the masks are of limited use in of themselves; I believe they actually present the emotional desire of communities and individuals wanting to at least try to work together.

When things go wrong with you that hurts me too.
Raising children is very difficult. They sometimes do wrong.
That must be corrected, immediately. And sometimes corporal punishment is the best way. Son number one broke the rules, started beating on his younger brother. You tell him to stop. Give him a warning and If he continues, he will be punished. So he keeps kicking his brother in the head, Now the time comes and you need to give him the belt. It hurts the father as well as hurting the child.
but it needs to be done.

The Democrats have made their brand the Party of Blacks. Blacks behaving badly is a bad advertisement for the Democrats, and a good advertisement for Republicans. If Democrat establishments like “The New York Times” want Joe Biden to win in November, they’d do well to end the riots as fast as possible.

    • shabbaranks May 29, 2020 at 11:55 am #

Backlash will be seen at the polls. Kent State was 1970 yet Nixon landslide re-election was 1972. This will play out again despite the left’s brazen attempts at re-engineering the demographics of the USA.

Great column Jim but it’s time for you to get serious and quit the Democrat party. I did. They are nothing but a fifth columN element any longer. A sad ending for them it is.

    • draupnir May 29, 2020 at 6:23 pm #

Yeah, I just saw Floyd’s girlfriend on TV tearfully begging for there to be peace tonight.

In another story, the police want to make mass arrests, but the bus drivers of MTC refuse to transport their prisoners and are standing with the protesters.

As we run around the world condemning this one or that one, for what ever it seems we are no better then they,we live a failed state as all indicators make very clear where the system caters to one class only.

Wait until the unemployment runs out and then you will hear the cry burn baby burn, as both republicans and democrats take to streets of the cities, if I was one of the one percent or a politican I think I would check my life insurance to see if it was up to date. You ain’t seen nothing yet>!!!!!!!!!!!

    “Kill all white people”

Nothing seems to have changed in the more extreme predilections of our most corrosive black culture…The 1960’s found the same sentiment evident.

I will be questioned, and impugned for this comment…riots must be met with an iron fist…there are few noble, rational people in a riotous crowd. Pleas go unanswered. Common sense rarely evident. Apologies ALWAYS breed more, and usually more extreme, violence.

The violence and wanton destruction will continue until heads are broken.

    Sorry.

But…I have been there and done that.

Beginning with the night MLK was shot.

Count not on the humanity and mercy of the crowd.

    • Walter B May 29, 2020 at 10:56 am #

So if a movement takes place to kill all those pesky white people and take all of their shit, unless Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and Jeff Bezos and the like are the victims, those doing the killing are going to be left holding an empty bag. Of course it is a lot easier to take out your anger on someone within arm’s distance rather that be bother to go through the trouble of seeking out the real perpetrators. Besides, that are well removed and protected behind walls of sellouts in sunglasses with uzi’s even those they “detest” firearms. I suppose it doesn’t really matter anyway because one all the evil white people are dead the resulting new daily order is going to be payback enough for the miscreants. You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometime, you may find, you get what you deserve!

    • zone45 May 29, 2020 at 11:04 am #

Yes, back in the day Frank Rizzo, then police comish of Philly, later to become mayor, set up his task force with machine guns on roof tops on N.Broad street with order to shoot to kill during the MLK riots.
He is on record as saying the he would out perform Attilla the Hun.

    • Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 11:57 am #

Amen. God will know his own. That doesn’t excuse Mr Floyd who should be prosecuted rapidly as justice (not mob justice) indicates.

      • Elrond Hubbard May 29, 2020 at 12:20 pm #

How darling for once to see you try calling for a lawful response to an outrage, Eyesore. Partial credit, though it’s not usual in these cases to call for prosecuting the victim. The perpetrator’s name is Derek Chauvin.

        • Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 12:40 pm #

Yes, i got it backwards. Thank you for not twisted my words and only gloating a little.

      • draupnir May 29, 2020 at 3:35 pm #

Thought it has been tried in the past, Janos, most notably by Pope Stephen VI. He dug up a predecessor and tried him before the Roman curia in the Basilica of St. John’s for crimes nobody cared about anymore. Even then, it was generally considered in poor taste to prosecute a corpse in propria persona.

        • Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 8:45 pm #

During the Spanish Revolution, Priests and Nuns were executed then dug up weeks later and displayed with obscene signs.

          • draupnir May 29, 2020 at 9:35 pm #

Interesting. However, they weren’t subjected to a show trial were they? I believe that on the guilty verdict, Stephen Vi sentenced Pope Formosus to the loss of a hand, which I doubt inconvenienced Formosus at all. I think Stephen VI had him then thrown into the Tiber.

          • Janos Skorenzy May 30, 2020 at 1:28 pm #

No trial for the most part. Guilty of being Christian. Just as we are guilty of being White. You’ll get it later rather than sooner. I knew a family from South Africa: the Grand Dame never got it. But her husband, whom she dominated for the most part, got his family out of there before things got really bad. A quiet, intelligent man with a core of inner strength.

      • Helen Highwater May 29, 2020 at 3:43 pm #

Excuse, but it’s Mr. Floyd who was murdered by a white police officer. A bit late to prosecute him, don’t you think?

        • Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 8:45 pm #

You epitomize the classless society, Hel.

    • gonetohell May 29, 2020 at 12:14 pm #

What must be met with an iron fist is the cold blooded killing of black men by cops, or hillbilly father and son teams allowed to carry guns. Trayvon Martin, Freddie Gray, Ahmaud Arbery, Eric Garner, and the list goes on and will continue to go on. I’m no fan of the black race but willful killing based on race just rubs me the wrong way. Our bigger problem is an ever more militarized police force that believes it operates above the law. Get a clue.

      • Elrond Hubbard May 29, 2020 at 12:24 pm #

I second your diagnosis of militarized policing, gonetohell.

      • Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 12:43 pm #

You’re not fan of the Black race, you just hate the White one. You would disarm us and let them savage us at will as was the case in the post Civil War South – until decent Men in the North and South put an end to it.

      • Gonga Din May 29, 2020 at 1:05 pm #

As the last one to touch the victim the officer gets the blame, unless there was some EMT mischief in the back of the ambulance, but seeing Floyd turn his head from side to side under the officer’s knee suggests that his airway was not being crushed. Mogadishu, USA

      • BackRowHeckler May 29, 2020 at 2:10 pm #

So what have we learned? AutoZones burn hot, and Community Members enjoy impromptu shopping sprees at Target. Seeing them ride out of Target thru smashed doors on stolen bicycles was positively hilarious.

Hey Elrod what do you make of the fact that Minneapolis-St Paul is a big lefty stronghold, gay capital of the midwest, black police chief in Minneapolis, black mayor in St Paul, everybody a member of the Commy farmer/labor party? You f#kkrs need to go back to political science school, learn how to govern a city.

I saw several YouTube videos of the bands of protestors, youths and one positive aspect of the Target store videos where, that many of those folks were wearing masks. The grievances are real, but I feel the political class both right and left( I think same The Man runs them both) have other agendas or distractions to maneuver. JAMES, awesome article, e.d. is picking up again.

      • elysianfield May 29, 2020 at 5:33 pm #

        gonetohell,
Well said. The iron fist will destroy the cop guilty of whatever
bad judgment that might have caused the outrage. The remainder of your comment is analogous to “all blacks like watermelon”…qualifiers, please?

“willful killing based on race just rubs me the wrong way.”

Interesting comment. Would you like to share with us the name of anyone on this site…ANYONE that would think otherwise? It is, forgive me, a platitude to state the obvious.

“. Our bigger problem is an ever more militarized police force that believes it operates above the law. Get a clue.”

Who believes they operate above the law? The cop just charged with a lesser count of murder?

Yes, in Law enforcement, we call that a “clue”….

in fact most of the cases that you cited. see the videos.

      • sophia May 30, 2020 at 11:38 am #

        Gone,

Most of those cases you mention were hardly clear cut cases of black innocence.

And by the way, white cops do not shoot blacks perps at a higher rate than they shoot white ones. That is an irresponsible myth promoted by the evil media.

        They want race war.
        Why?

When I was pole vaulting in high school you had to clear the bar AND land on your feet in the sawdust pit but in college we had an air mattress and a big fan so you landed spread eagled on your back. If you turned off the fan it would take only a few seconds to leak out enough air to make a painful landing. Our economy is not composed of those trained to land on their feet. We have a fire hose of money creation to keep everything inflated but the widening hole of 40 million people asking for unemployment support suggests a painful landing despite the fan.

  5. Mountain gal May 29, 2020 at 10:36 am #

While I find the murder, and that’s what it was, of George Floyd to be reprehensible, and sure hope to see the police officers involved charged with the crime, I find the knee-jerk response of outrage in the black community to be puzzling. Why do they only get upset if a cop or non-black person kills a black person but they don’t seem too bothered by the zillions of blacks killed daily at the hands of other blacks? Nearly all blacks murdered are killed by fellow blacks, not whites, Asians, cops etc. So why only the outrage for what are essentially outlier killings?

And why does the NYT and its ilk not point this out? And why the tacit approval of the violent protests as you note?

For that matter, why don’t liberal or MSM refrain from using the “Karen meme” to denote white women? Why is this ok? Would it be ok to use “Latoya” or “LaWanda” or “Latisha” etc as shorthand for black women acting a certain way? I think not. Why is it only ok if it’s applied to white women? And why do liberal publications not see the damage that will occur by their fanning of the flames?

    • Nightowl May 29, 2020 at 11:07 am #

Because the media has been stoking the fires of racism for 3 straight years. On purpose, of course.

This orchestrated outrage has been an on again off again media manipulation since the 60’s.

“Because the media has been stoking the fires of racism for 3 straight years”

        Owl,
Really? What was the excuse 60 years ago?

    • Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 12:03 pm #

Yes and yes. Blacks simply aren’t very evolved and will always seek a scapegoat to put their sins on and sacrifice, emotionally, verbally, socially, legally (via affirmative action), or actually in terms of mob justice.

Karen is a White meme. Black women tend more towards violent outrage. But sure, middle class Black women start getting into the Karen “consciousness”. Oprah tried to get clerks fired on two of her European trips. Once when she wanted to go into a store than had just closed.

And who owns the media? A very select, small group who obviously wish America all kinds of harm. They promulgated rap from being a local phenomena to being the soundtrack for Kali Yuga.

You ask: “why do liberal publications not see the damage that will occur by their fanning of the flames?”

“the percentage of white women who voted for Trump was actually 47%, compared to 45% for Clinton. That’s still a plurality, and still makes white women more Trump-positive than the overall electorate, which supported Clinton by a 48%-46% margin. White women, who will again be a critical demographic group in the 2018 midterms, were considerably more pro-Trump than nonwhite women, who went for Clinton by a huge margin, 82%-16%. But it’s essentially a tie, which makes for a very different story than a 9-point margin for Trump.”

White men voted very strongly for Trump, white women could not muster a majority for him. I suspect that the demonization of white women by types like Charles Blow, indicting them all as terrorists for calling police on black men, will drive this percentage over 50%.

      • Mountain gal May 29, 2020 at 1:25 pm #

Just like to a hammer, everything looks like a nail, to Mr Blow, everything looks like racism. Of course he’s not aware that there’s such a thing as black racism…….

    • Elrond Hubbard May 29, 2020 at 12:38 pm #

“Why do they only get upset if a cop or non-black person kills a black person but they don’t seem too bothered by the zillions of blacks killed daily at the hands of other blacks? Nearly all blacks murdered are killed by fellow blacks, not whites, Asians, cops etc. So why only the outrage for what are essentially outlier killings?”

Mountain gal, I would suggest that people take someone being killed by a police officer rather differently than they do a killing by another citizen, whatever that citizen’s race.

With great power comes great responsibility, as they say, and police are entrusted with the power to take life as part of their job. The issue is that many, many people perceive the police to be misusing that power, and that the misuse is targeted by race. That’s why comparing it against ‘black-on-black crime’ feels like a false dichotomy.

      • Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 12:47 pm #

True, But they focus on it to the almost exclusion of their own internal problems. Thus we’re their scapegoats, the Devil in their System of Thought or Theology. As we are in the Liberal System. Thus the alliance remains strong. You continue to remain willing to sacrifice other Urban Liberals to Black savagery in order to maintain the alliance. No one can call you ideologically squeamish, that’s for sure.

      • Mountain gal May 29, 2020 at 1:28 pm #

        @ Elrond

True, and it is why I deemed the killing of Mr. Floyd “reprehensible”, as we entrust the police with our very lives and this makes a travesty of our trust. I still want to know why blacks seems to totally avoid the issue of black on black murder and only get excited if a black is murdered by not just a cop, but anyone who’s not black.

        • Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 1:33 pm #

Yes, and they will never protest for Whites the way Whites do for them. Their racism is fine while ours is the ultimate sin.

        • Elrond Hubbard May 29, 2020 at 2:15 pm #

Mountain gal, I think the reason why they ‘avoid’ that issue is because it’s a non-issue, which some people like to deploy as a red herring. The category of ‘black-on-black crime’ adds no more to anyone’s understanding than, say, ‘Italian-on-Irish crime’.

          • Mountain gal May 29, 2020 at 3:07 pm #

            @ Elrond

Why is it a “non-issue”? 2015 crime stats; blacks killed by whites- 2%, blacks killed by police- 1%, blacks killed by blacks- 97%. Yet all we ever hear of for protests/riots are the few instances when a black is killed by a white or a cop. And in no way am I forgiving unnecessary violence by cops on anyone. But still, all the protests the other day about the white father/son duo who killed the black jogger, all the news articles, etc. Was it terrible and racist? Well yes. But again, 97% of blacks are killed by other blacks and crickets………….a non-issue as you say…….must be….

          • SG-71 May 30, 2020 at 2:58 pm #

The reason is that black perps generally get caught and generally get dealt with by the law. Whites who kill blacks, most especially white cops, are exonerated of the worst charges in a disturbingly large percentage of cases.

        • sophia May 30, 2020 at 11:58 am #

It’s the same mentality with using the N word. They call each other nigger all the time. On the street, in rap lyrics, but white people aren’t allowed to use it. I do agree it was a murder and the three officers standing around doing nothing to stop it should be charged as accomplices.

    • woe May 29, 2020 at 5:10 pm #

I am going to attempt to explain the reaction that people are seeing from my point of view of a black male that has lived some 60 years. I may need to offer a trigger alert, this will not be a popular post. I believe that an event like this was planned, not this particular event, but the dynamics fit the bill. The democrats (which I am a former member) knew they needed to do SOMETHING, ANYTHING to hinder the progress, perceived or otherwise of Donald Trump being reelected. They know that quite a few blacks are leaving the democratic party, and the one tried and true tactic that they use is around the time of major national elections is “all of the sudden”, police brutality is showcased on the MSM to show how racist the Republican party is and that the Democrats are the only party that will shield you from the dangerous racism you are subjected to every day. This is an appeal to EMOTIONS and FEELINGS. These two traits are primarily FEMALE in nature (I didn’t say exclusive, I said primarily). I would like you to ponder this next statement. A majority of the federal assistance that has gone to the black community in the past 50-60 years has primarily has gone to FEMALE headed households. In order to avail yourself to any assistance the federal government had to offer, THE MAN had to be excluded from the family unit. Black females took advantage of that assistance, because in most cases, the support was more stable and more lucrative than what the man could earn, in fact they were rewarded in many cases for fostering and increasing this family dysfunction. This attitude and way of thinking has been passed down from mother to daughter for generations, a man is only required to be a sperm donor after that, his participation in the family unit has been actively DISCOURAGED (although not his financial support). There was no one in the house that provided a FUNCTIONAL MALE role model that the boys could learn from on how to navigate the world as a MAN. There was no one in the home that provided discipline, self restraint, delayed gratification, applied logic to problems, fostered self reliance and independent thought. No MALE was there to teach the importance of emotional intelligence and continuous personal improvement. Since most black males are raised in female headed households, they only have a female to pattern their behavior after, since the girls have no functional, consistent MALE in order to model what a good man looks like, all she knows is dysfunctional men and that what she will continue to chose as a partner. We have thousands of years of evidence that there has NEVER been a successful matriarchy for any length of time. Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan was 100% right decades ago, he warned about the behavior you are witnessing on your TV screens right now. The police should be prosecuted, but why burn your own communities down, that’s illogical but typical of black FEMALE modeled behavior that has been allowed for several generations.

Well you are ranting but not threatening anyone here so I’d not worry about the popularity of your post too much.

I grew up in Harvey, Illinois. I spent parts of my teenage years in the neighborhoods of Grant Park, Inglewood, and Roseland in Chicago Illinois. Lived part of my adult life in West Memphis AR and North and South Memphis TN. I’m quite sure that if you look up the demographics of those areas, you could see that they are are not the nicer areas of those regions of the country, they are as a whole quite dysfunctional and quite dangerous. What I stated above is my take of years of casual observation into the life of my neighbors and my relatives. I was lucky, the military, some good paying jobs and an education helped me escape most of the dysfunction I have observed over the years. Just my take on the situation at hand.

          • K-Dog May 29, 2020 at 7:54 pm #

Thank you for that extra info. It helps understand what you wrote before better. Good you exscaped dysfunction and made a life for yourself.

I have been to Chicago and I grew up in Minneapolis. Harvey is to Chicago what 38th Street and Chicago Ave, where the choking happened, is to Minneapolis. I can’t say I know about the area much because I was from the north end. Fridley to be specific. The MLPS St. Paul airport is on the south end of town which was the only thing that area had which I could not find closer. But the way our family got to the airport was by driving around the city and not through it. The north end equivalent was Columbia Heights which had a lot of Polacks who were very friendly.

When MLK was shot I marched with my fathers church throught the area. All the churches marched the Sunday after he was shot for peace and all the good stuff. Maybe it was closer to downtown. It was a long time ago.

There is much truth in what you wrote. We are all actors on a stage and we do well to withdraw to try and see what the cosmic audience sees. We would see that we are given many models to follow, good and bad and we follow them all. That is what people do. You see that too.

WOE, I concur with your assessment. Though I am not Black, I have seen many examples of what you have mentioned. Also, I went to Thornton Township High School in Harvey, Illinois from 68 – 70. My folks, finally, came to the conclusion we had to leave. That area looks like a detention center now.

      • Billy Hill May 29, 2020 at 7:51 pm #

Woe — I submit it’s not black female behavior but female behavior.

“…why burn your own communities down, that’s illogical but typical of black FEMALE modeled behavior…”

Women throw out the baby with the bathwater. Throw the china. It’s a simple fact of nature. I could offer countless anecdotes and at this point in my married life I make a joke of it with my wife but outbursts following an unpleasant exchange such as “you’ve ruined the whole vacation!” suffice as exhibit A.

The deeper issue of what the welfare state has done to black family structure ( I think at one point in the 20th century more whites were born out of wedlock) is a topic for honest people to discuss, but good luck.

      • Mountain gal May 30, 2020 at 5:29 am #

        @ woe

I mostly agree with what you have to say other than labeling certain behaviors as “female”. I fail to see why burning down the AutoZone store is a “female” behavior. That said, yes indeed, our system of providing benefits to families provided there is no man in residence is imo directly responsible for the disintegration of the black family and the resultant weak matriarchal family structure. Children need strong men in their lives who love their mothers, them and provide good role models. So much of what has gone wrong in black family culture I attribute to the totally misguided use of welfare funds which effectively banished black men from their family’s lives.

Where do we go from here? How do we fix this? I have no idea. It’s a horror really. Something upwards of 70% of black babies are now born to single mothers. Yes, Moynihan was crucified for what he said but he was 100% correct in his cautionary message.

The Democrats continue to present themselves as pro-black and the Republicans as a party of racist whites. The Dems(and Progressives) seem to think that handing out “freebies” is the way to buy the votes of blacks. Sadly this has been quite effective.

So how does this get fixed? And I suspect this will only get “fixed” through the work of the black community itself; they don’t need more white people trying to “help” them. But I don’t know. What do you think?

        • SG-71 May 31, 2020 at 8:04 am #

It’s “female” emotional thinking but with a male aggression overlay.

      • sophia May 30, 2020 at 12:02 pm #

        Thank you, Woe.

Your post will not be unpopular and is on target. Children need fathers. Without that, nothing else will help the black community.

  8. Pucker May 29, 2020 at 10:38 am #

When General Grant’s Union armies “liberated” the the plantations in Mississippi, the Yankees basically gave the “Freedmen” a choice of either fighting for the Union armies, or remaining on the plantations to pick cotton for the Yankees at gun point working for wages set by the new Yankee overseers. Much is made on the “History Channel” of the blacks fighting in Yankee armies as proof that the blacks “earned” their “Freedom”. This argument is erroneous since the role of slaves in Africa for over a thousand years was to either work as agricultural laborers or to fight as soldiers for the A-Rabs.

The US Army today requires a minimum IQ of 80 for recruits, which most young black males in the “Hood” cannot meet. Not sure what you can do with them? In the pre-industrial economy, a worker with a very low IQ and a strong back was highly desired and prized because there were few machines. Back then, a worker with a high IQ was a huge pain-in-the-ass.

    • Ishabaka May 29, 2020 at 10:57 am #

US military requirement is an I.Q. of 84 or above. This was relaxed during the Vietnam War, with disastrous consequences. The sub-84 men were known as “McNamara’s Morons”.
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_100,000

      • Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 12:06 pm #

The average Black American IQ is 85. Far too low to ever really thrive in an industrial Western State. They should have been sent back as Jefferson and Lincoln indicated.

        • Hands4u May 29, 2020 at 3:02 pm #

What is the IQ of the Average American Sophomoric Racist?

          • Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 3:54 pm #

Well 100 is the White average. And since we know and care about the Truth, one would have to estimate well over 100.

          • Hands4u May 29, 2020 at 6:39 pm #

And the scientific- “truth” is that IQ is determined by a test developed by a Caucasian Culture and Military based on German Military(Caucasian again and Racist) determination of what constitutes intelligence. And as you know this is primarily based on the speed of your ability to respond. And you know of course how valid this process is because you speak with authority since you have performed and given many of these exams/assessments for the past 20 years. (Sarcasm intended)

          • Hands4u May 29, 2020 at 6:44 pm #

And you would also know that these tests are given for the most part as an array of assessment to individuals who are emotionally having difficulty with life.

          • Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 8:51 pm #

Yes, guilty. Whites created the concept of IQ, the test for IQ, and pretty much everything else. I admit Blacks are good at certain things, just not the things that make for Western Civilization. Glad we are on the same page about that.

          • Hands4u May 30, 2020 at 12:52 pm #

Janos, the lack of insight you express into being human is due to your racially based perception of life in defense of poor ego strength. Hardly the same page if not the book. (You also might want to look into the statement- Sarcasm intended)

And the “activists” seem to be repeatedly telling Biden that they expect him to nominate a black woman as his running mate which is supposed to demonstrate their complete wokeness or now maybe atonement for the killing of Mr. Floyd. This would mean that whomever this woman was would become President. Not sure how that will fly with the greater DNC which clearly has their own idea of whom they want as VP. I just cannot fathom that we’ve sunk to this level in terms of whom the presumptive nominees are on both sides.

But “a lawlessly violent response to an act of official stupidity” might be better rewritten as “a lawlessly violent response to an act of official lawless violence”. Kneeling on a prone and handcuffed individual’s neck until he’s dead goes well beyond stupid. Makes things a bit more clear in this case.

In any event, for the bigger picture, the excitement has just begun.

    • SW May 29, 2020 at 1:51 pm #

The cop knew he was killing the man or bringing him to the point of death. When a person kills or attempts to kill another person and the evidence clearly shows it, they’re a murderer. I know the rate of black-on-black murders is much higher but they’re not the police who are expected to obey the law. This was a shameful crime and, my guess — I don’t know — is this would have been covered up if it had not been filmed. If the police do not police themselves and purge the ranks of cops like this, then what little respect for law people have will be gone. When thugs are allowed full reign then the same principle of “bad money drives out good” will be seen here.

  13. teddyboy46 May 29, 2020 at 11:10 am #

With all due respect to JHK. The autopsy report has not come back so the exact cause of death has not been verified. The D.A for Minneapolis has said other evidence indicates that there is no basis for a criminal charge against the police officers. I think that other evidence is the autopsy report. I would also like to point out that the leaning on the neck is established police procedure. One sees it on Live P.D all the time. I believe the Police Officer knew exactly how much pressure he was putting on Mr. Floyds neck.

Mr. Floyd was ” Awfully Drunk and out of control ” These are the words of the store owner who called the police. Mr. Floyd had a long prison record. He was in Minneapolis to make a new start after being released from prison in Texas where he served time after being convicted of armed robbery . Where he held a woman at gun point while his he and his partner searched the house for drugs and money. Mr. Floyd was not a nice guy.

None of that justifies trial by Cop, instant conviction and then execution by Cop. Sorry! If they can do it to him, they can do it to you or I.

I want Blacks out of America as per Jefferson and Lincoln. If that’s where you are trying to go, just say it. They aren’t worth it. They don’t fit here. They are way too much trouble and always will be.

But the solution is a long term one, not individual brutality by individuals, much less Law Enforcement.

Blacks out of America? Only the ones who are culturally unfit.

        • Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 8:58 pm #

Brutal and now foolish – if we could remove some of them, we could remove all of them. We would pick and choose? Oh folly. Best leave it alone. It’s never going to happen in this America in any case.

I don’t blame you for hating Blacks. I sympathize, I just don’t approve of personal feelings interfering with police work.

Jim from Florida thought it was kind of Jungian thing, with the Police taking on the role of the avengers of White honor, unbeknownst to themselves via the collective unconscious. Good theory but they kill Whites in the same ways and apparently, at a greater rate.

Ok, keep the good ones and they have kids who are reversions to the norm and you’e right back to square one. You are denying race as a thing, focusing on individual character – very American and exactly what dooms us.

Meditate on the Southern, Hate the Race but love the individual (if they are lovable. The Karen Cooper lady no doubt believed in loving Blacks as a race even while she was always really terrified of them and for good reason. Her unconscious knew better than her conscious self. Thus is the Northern, Love the race but hate the individual (because the love of the race was just ideological not real). You above policy is a Northern one. What can I say but, Repent?

But yes, a middle aged man “starting over”. He starts his new life by petty forgery. Pretty common. They are a child or “custodial” race who will always require much supervision. We may have a nation divided between those who care and others that are selfish and do as they please, and screw everyone else. It has been that way long before the corona hit this continent. All things considered, this is a long overdue reality check, and I believe that it will resolve rather nicely.

Biden is UNELECTABLE… the Democraty Party and the DNC know this. He has Too many issues with corruption, sex allegations and mental stability.

The DNC fix is in, Hillary will be the nominee and is the Democrat’s best candidate to run in 2020 (no matter how much Republicans and normal Americans despise her). She has enormous power in the party, a large voter base, funding and DNC support to launch by far the best campaign.

    • shabbaranks May 29, 2020 at 1:15 pm #

That ship has sailed. Biden is the choice of Democrat primary voters. He may be the Democrat’s version of Bob Dole or John McCain, but he’s all they have got.

Funny you should say that. I saw a article floating the idea that Bill Clinton was having an affair with Ghislaine (?) Maxwell. The powers that rule the US terrorist nation, the banking families, the Davos crowd, do not care one bit about the US population, which is why Trump is on his own. He’s not getting instructions how to proceed, because the owners don’t care. They might even consider the riots to be a form of entertainment. We watch thrillers, they watch US citizens killing each other, eat popcorn, laugh. Common citizens don’t concern them.

I thnk we all know that the US is disintegrating, and this is part of the process. It’s what happens when the population believes all the lies the media presents. Nothing can make sense, there is no ability to critically think about anything at all. Our nation’s military is the #1 global terrorist machine, training, arming, paying, every homeless Wahhabi thug they can find to murder all across the planet, and keep the plunder they find on the corpses and in their squalid homes. And the US population doesn’t know this basic fact. Even our host rarely, if ever, mentions it. We are the United Snakes of Aterrorca. We deserve what we get. My two cents.

Where the 3rd police precinct went up in flames last night is only 3 or so miles from some very ritzy areas of Minneapolis. Million dollar lake-front homes. Now we have a hot weekend coming up.

There’s no way they will let these riots spread to those tony, rich, progressive neighborhoods. The national guard will put up barricades and gun turrets to keep those places safe. That’s where the taxes come from.

  22. Zoltar May 29, 2020 at 11:59 am #

I do not disagree with Jim’s concerns or with the preponderance of today’s comments, but it is also true that there is a real issue causing incidents of this sort, and a solution is not hard to identify. As things stand, many cops who have gotten into their profession in the first place for the wrong reasons have gotten the message from TV, movies, and news reports, that it’s a not-unusual thing for a police officer to kill a citizen, that the citizen probably did something wrong, after all, and that the system will side with the cop. Every police chief in America should assemble their crew and announce the following: “If the actions of anyone in this room ever result in the death of a single citizen, regardless of the circumstances, the incident with be scrutinized with a microscope and there will be no presumption of police innocence until it is established that every detail of the arrest went exactly by the book. If you kill a citizen and your professional behavior was not above reproach, then you will not find me in your corner.” Don’t like this message? Okay – then watch your city burn.

    • benr May 29, 2020 at 12:07 pm #

Or people need to stop doing shit they know is wrong and stop fighting the arrest they know is coming.
Yea the cop did wrong as well but if the man had not put himself in a situation like this he would STILL be alive.

Where is the personal responsibility in all this?

Benr: Thanks for demonstrating my point so cogently. Your solution is for “people to stop doing stuff that’s wrong.” Mine is for cops to stop needlessly killing citizens. Yours won’t happen. If mine doesn’t, your neighborhood will go up in flames.
Perhaps you’ve never traveled more than a few miles from home. Most affluent countries don’t have this problem. But then, I’m sure you are also a staunch believer in American exceptionalism.

Kunstler’s narratives are showing yet again. First, give him his due: for once, he accurately diagnoses police murder of civilians as a bad thing. It’s unfortunate that it took an example as grievously flagrant as the death of George Floyd to get him there, but JHK has now arrived at that particular conclusion, or been carried there by events.

But having reached that crossroads, which path does he take? There are two available, broadly speaking, and Kunstler takes the one that easily could be predicted: he condemns the protesters and rioters for their reaction to this latest outrage — which is not the first, but only the most recent and blatant in a long, dismal history of such outrages. He spares not a word for the other possible interpretation:

    – that American policing is visibly pathological — treating some parts of the U.S. population as needing protection, while others need to be protected against — and has been so from its origins;
    – that many people, notably Colin Kaepernick, Black Lives Matter, and a wide range of commentators across the racial spectrum, have spent the last few years calling loudly and insistently for something to be done about it;
    – that they have been ignored and derided, even slandered as a violent threat (particularly on Fox News);
    – that as a result, the pattern has been allowed to continue; and
    – that the latest events are the completely foreseeable, and foreseen, consequences of the above.

Kunstler’s concluding words are also telling: “It looks like some people will have to start deciding some things. He’s too mealy-mouthed to be direct about it, so I’ll spell out what that seems to mean: Kunstler wants government to respond to citizen protests against government violence with even more violence. Beatings are to continue until morale improves, in other words. That should end well.

Elrond — Don’t you dare presume to put words in my mouth. I’m going to leave this comment up and then I am going to ban you from the blog before the day is over. — JHK Admin

POTUS has all but openly declared his intention to open fire on civilians:

          https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/500159-trump-seeks-to-explain-looting-leads-to-shooting-tweet-that-sparked

Trump may deny this is what he intended. Donald Trump says lots of things. Anyone with the least sense understands that what he says has nothing to do with truth or falsehood, only with what serves Donald Trump in that moment. Meanwhile, millions of people are nodding their heads in agreement with him, and some of those, including police, will take his words as their personal go-ahead — no matter what denials he makes afterwards. That’s the responsibility that comes with high office. Trump’s tweet may be the single most irresponsible utterance ever from a U.S. president.

Meanwhile, police are already behaving like this:

          https://www.reddit.com/r/DemocraticSocialism/comments/gssq9s/casually_pepper_spraying_out_the_window_as_you/

In this environment, it behooves a social critic to speak clearly and to the point, not with intriguing ambiguity. I wrote what I wrote because that’s how I understood your words. How I take your meaning is not for you to control, Jim. If I’m wrong, then you alone have the power to prove me wrong. Or you can do as you’ve declared, and silence me. Your choice.

Few musicians write their own music and think of what we praise. We do not praise the renaissance man. That dog is feared. We praise those who specialize in narrow ranges of abilities and knowledge. Arguably 100 million police-citizen contacts a week, and you come to these conclusions? It is a man bites dog scenario. Shit happens. The frequency of occurrence regarding these issues is, statistically, insignificant, considering our demographic.

Rejoice in your relatively homogeneous population. Your civil culture.

      • sophia May 30, 2020 at 1:49 pm #

It’s the liberal bias that frosts me. It’s not that I don’t think some police are bad or that very poor judgment happens, but turning it into a race issue is dishonest and dishonorable. On another blog, a self-righteous white actually said that Amy Cooper in the park-dog incident should not have called the police because it was a black man (the police might hurt him) and someone else accused her of wanting him to be killed by the cops!!!!!!!!

That is morally inexcusable. And by the way, during their altercation, when she said she would call the police, he said three times, “Yes, Please call the police.”

So how damned scared was he of the police? Not at all.

        • elysianfield May 30, 2020 at 6:20 pm #

“So how damned scared was he of the police? Not at all.”

          Sophia,
THAT is because the Oakland Police Department is known for its even handed approach to incidents of this sort. Their humanity is well understood and trumpeted by even the liberal Main Street Media…magazines too, have commented.

            Sophia,
The incident that I remember reported was on Lake Merritt, in Oakland…involving picnicking in an area prohibited, so the Karen called the police…was reported even on the BBC, so you might be correct in the dog incident. My bad.

    • Mountain gal May 30, 2020 at 5:50 am #

      @ Elrond

It is quite acceptable to protest an injustice. What burning stores, the police station etc and looting has to do with protesting an injustice is beyond me. In my opinion, the “protests” were allowed to go on for too long and to an extreme beyond reason. Tell me, would MLK have suggested that the protesters go loot the Target or burn Autozone? I think not. Can you imagine the powerful presence of thousands of peaceful protesters assembling in a silent vigil?

Your “support” for the black/minority community seems to me to be nothing short of “virtue signaling”. I’m sure it makes you feel all warm inside and noble. Have you ever stopped to consider if the actions you are supporting because you are ever so “woke” are actually beneficial to the black community in the long-run?

      • Janos Skorenzy May 30, 2020 at 1:35 pm #

Look deeper. MLK was a Communist and they are all for violence. Violence followed King wherever he went despite his official pronouncements. His non-violence was tactical, nothing more.

I think you missed the point. I believe that JHK may have been referring to the house rep who stated that “some people did some things” in reference to the 9-11 terrorist attacks.

    • sophia May 30, 2020 at 1:41 pm #

      Elrond,

It is a very serious thing to accuse people of murder. The police departments keep very accurate statistics. Per capita, in the commission of the same types of crimes, white people are shot by police at least as often as blacks. You take a media which shows only one side and it is not surprising that people become furious. But it isn’t true. Yet you want it to be true. That is evil. Simply evil. Because the fallout of this false belief will be much more violence against completely innocent people, and it will set back race relations a long way.

And by the way, people DO need to be protected from one another! That is a huge part of what the police do. I think everyone knows this. And black people need that protection even more, as more of this violence happens in their neighborhoods.

Why is it that in every case like this the black person is always a criminal? I’m not saying it is a justification, but this man was a career criminal and resisting arrest. The last one tried to take a gun away from the person who shot him. Stupid move.

Back in pre-industrial America, the ideal agricultural worker would be someone with a strong back who could work long hours in the sun with an IQ slightly above the IQ of a horse or a cow. For a small group of workers, such as the artisans, you’d need a worker with a higher IQ. But for most workers to work in the fields you’d want a group of workers that you could manage like livestock.

    • zone45 May 29, 2020 at 3:14 pm #

spend a day working in the field, under the hot sun, bending over and hoe that row, then lift that bale. Not much fun. You do not have to have a high IQ or even remember the words to the work song.
Just get out there and do the job. Yet their are human beings out their doing it every day, to put food on your table. And if you run out of fuel, then you run out of life energy and you will perish.
Life is short, and the party is over. Get to work.

So, we have now an orgy of Negro crime which will probably end up with more dead people? Soft responses to rioting don’t work and ultimately give excuses for the same thing down the road. The only response is to stamp it out at the beginning under martial law. Everytime and everywhere when authorities react slowly this happens, as it does in France when Muslim “youths” go wild in the street as recently when one of them crashed his motorbike and the ghetto rose up in fury blaming the police and you had millions in destroyed property and a lot of injured cops.
It appears the cop who knelt on the man’s neck is feloniously liable and needs to go to prison, but the rioting is inexcusable.

    • akmofo May 29, 2020 at 12:13 pm #

People riot because they feel completely alienated. They feel that the city and the country that they live in is not their own and that it is completely hostile to them. Until this dynamic changes, Europe and the US are very likely going to look like this: https://youtu.be/qp4YV5WJysw

        Akmofo,

You may be right that they feel alienated, but that is mostly because we have a criminal (treasonous) media who deliberately lie and misrepresent the true situation while in the universities the students are trained to carry a grudge. Unless their lives are absolute heaven on a platter, it is the fault of white people and they should be resentful.

        • akmofo May 30, 2020 at 3:10 pm #

You’re right, Sophia, but there’s much more to that. As James correctly observes, there’s the issue of alienating and deformed architecture and urban planning. There’s the issue of thug criminal policemen. There’s the issue of corrupt criminal politicians. There’s the issue of a corrupt and thoroughly rigged political process and system. There’s the issue of commie subversion in the judiciary. There’s the issue of commie subversion in the academia. There’s the issue of commie subversion in the media. There’s the issue of commie subversion by the giant corporations, their NGOs and Foundations. There’s the issue of commie economic predation by the giant corporations. There’s the issue of commie economic predation by the taxation system and the issuance of money. There’s the issue of pervasive moral corruption, thievery and hucksterism throughout all economic and social strata in the US. There’s the REAL issue of racism and segregation in the US.

The US is a Vatican slave plantation where everyone dislikes everyone else. Deliberately refusing to acknowledge and see the machinations of the Vatican mafia and their agents as the source in all of the above, will only prolong and exacerbate the situation.

            They’re called ghettos.

White ghetto. Black ghetto. Asian ghetto. Mexican ghetto. Jewish ghetto. Italian ghetto. And on and on. Every community with its ghetto.

I stayed in Philadelphia for two weeks and walked the city from end to end. It’s the same in Miami. It’s the same in LA. It’s the same in NewYork. It’s the same everywhere in the US.

When I was in Northern California I didn’t see a single black person. Same in Utah. Same in Arizona. And visa versa, when in the Washington DC hood, not a single white person to be seen.

Maybe you’re used to this nonsense, but I’m not. It’s the first thing that struck my eyes. When I walked the black ghetto they looked at me as though I was a Martian. They couldn’t comprehend what I was doing there. They never saw a white person venturing into their hood.

  27. Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 12:37 pm #

Racism is only possible when two races occupy the same territory. In Nature, two different species who occupy the same ecological niche, will not be found in the same space, typically. If they do, there will be conflict as per Lions and Hyenas, or closer to the human model, warring prides of lions or clans of chimps.

Imagine the Peace of an all White America or even one where we were clearly the dominant race. The former is preferable of course, but even the latter is infinitely better than what we have now. And what we have now is in turn far better than where we are going which is either Bosnia times Rwanda or Totalitarianism enforced via Medicine.

    • benr May 29, 2020 at 12:46 pm #

How does one explain warring tribes of the same race?

Human nature is to fight or find a reason to do so.

Skin color is just an easier one.

      • Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 1:01 pm #

Race is more than skin, much more. Combatants of the same general type end up joining together. Clans become Tribes and Tribes, Nation. To use the image of the giant statue in the Book of Daniel (I think), metal can be grafted onto metal since they are similar substances. Thus the Mongol and Manchu assimilated well into China since they were of a similar racial type. As has been said, ferocious horsemen (Mongol) or giant swordsmen (Manchu) would then spend the rest of their lives trying to become Chinese Gentlemen, trying to win the approval of some tiny, old Calligraphy master, the hands that grasped the sword so confidently now uncertain and sweaty as they hold the brush.

At the bottom of statue, the remaining metal is joined with mud. They cannot bond in any strong way….

Whites in Europe had territorial and resource wars for many centuries.
Vikings stealing Irish women. Why? they didnt have enough women of their own? Superior Irish looks?

          • Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 4:06 pm #

The Wives of their left hands as the Muslims say. Booty. Their real wives were a long way away. Or as Wild Men, they didn’t have any yet. Some Vikings became very wealthy, many didn’t. Those that did, did so as older men. Are they to remain celibate till then?

Maybe well established women didn’t want to go to new lands (like Iceland) to face such hardships. And those that would might not be top of the line if you know what I mean. But among the Irish, they got to pick the best ones to take with them.

          • K-Dog May 29, 2020 at 4:33 pm #

If they could have prospered in the frozen lands of the north there would have been no need of plunder.

But their social structure favored the rich. The tribal chiefs took all the young women for themselves.

So no they didnt have enough women of their own and as the ancient Incels they were, it was enough to make them go Beserk.

    • Helen Highwater May 29, 2020 at 1:10 pm #

That is not true. Many species occupy the same ecological niche and do so quite peacefully. And why exactly do you think a All White America is preferable? Because you’re a white racist?

      • Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 1:18 pm #

Even if they using the same limited resources and thus in competition? A “niche” is not just a physical location but a “place” in the local web of life. And two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time – not peacefully.

      • elysianfield May 30, 2020 at 11:42 am #

“Many species occupy the same ecological niche and do so quite peacefully”

        Helen,
Where there is prey, there are predators. There is little in the way of vacuum in this equation. There is no “peace” in nature. Nature is violent, brutal.

Civilization, on the other hand, is man’s attempt to overcome the jungle, the predator/prey paradigm, the constant fear. Works in some venues…in some other, not so much.

Police, like it or not, are charged with maintaining civil discourse. Difficult in areas, such as our inner cities, where the predators are many. Constant conflict in the best of times. The ghetto is much closer to “Nature” than would be comfortable to admit.

    • sophia May 30, 2020 at 2:03 pm #

All physical manifestations in the realms of politics, economics and religion are a reflection of the people’s spirituality. After two impeachments and a needed one declined, we observe the fall of the American judicial system which in turn is part of the collapse of “Mystery Babylon”.

The Democrats argue that the people [ the majority ] did not want their president [ Clinton ] impeached and as a democracy we made the rules and we can change the rules. Republicans argued that we are supposed to be a nation of law and if the Chief Lawyer is able to circumvent the law it will undermine the entire legal system. The conservatives find themselves on the defensive with only man-made laws to fall back on. Any time Man legislates a statute, policy or rule, he has an equal power to repeal it, thus the conservatives find themselves in increasingly untenable situations. Their position is exposed as just another form of humanism, where man is god [ lawmaker ].

There is actually only one “Party”. The members of the conservative side resist change, being enamored with past errors, while the other side prefer new innovations which are really very old concepts with new names.

Our “Founding Fathers” by drafting a constitution took us away from the Creator God’s constitution [ the commandments, statutes and judgements ] constructing a federal republic which, because of its makers, was imperfect. While it is the best system ever devised by the mind of Man, after a couple centuries of experimentation evil men have found and exploited the loopholes, and we now find ourselves in a dictatorship ruled by presidential decree with an appearance of liberty, and our precious constitution ignored. Making people forgetful while putting ungodly men over us who say one thing and do another is punishment.

God has allowed Man to rule himself in every conceivable manner to make it obvious that we [ as groups ] are incapable of a just self-government. Our chastisement will not cease until we repent [ change mind ]. Humanist fallacies and blunders will increase until God’s people ask Him to intervene. The systems of man-made governments, laws, and social order are ending.

As we enter the Seventh Millennium of man’s history, God is declaring a rest for the earth; a rest from the bondage of chaos merchants who exercise their political, economic and religious shenanigans at our expense. As we enter the darkest hour just before dawn, prophetic events will cause those who do not know what God is doing to lose hope. Those who are not listening, in a personal way, will have fear instead of faith and many will stumble.

“But ye brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are the children of light, and children of the day… therefore let us not sleep, as do others, but let us watch and be sober.” As Mystery Babylon falls, our Redemption draws near, keep your head up.

Recently (last year) I was in a brew pub and some 20 somethings (all white and one Asian) got at it and the cops showed up. Here is a rough quote from the black police officer, “Hey there white boy ain’t nobody gonna say nuthin if I light your white a s s up. So watch it.”

The point of all this being that this is an orchestrated event. It is not about race and is just low talent community theater designed to shuttle my power into the hands of government.

    • Helen Highwater May 29, 2020 at 1:13 pm #

Some people think COVID-19 was an orchestrated event to give government more power too. They’re spending too much time on conspiracy theory websites.

So explain the “run thru” (Event 201) six weeks before the outbreak?
Dr Miskovits says Covid wasn’t created, but it was played with.

      • K-Dog May 29, 2020 at 1:54 pm #

They’re spending too much time on conspiracy theory websites. It is called Fox news and the One America Network or something like that.

I don’t know why you call it a conspiracy. Nobody hides the deception. It is in the open for all to see. People don’t want to look at real news because looking is uncomfortable. Media gives them what they want. Deception. Can we admit the truth?

An openly racist president sits in the White House where his abhorrent treatment of women of color is obvious. A man with issues tries to pass a bad check and police are called. Strange kabuki theatre results and the man with issues dies at the knee of another man with issues.

The anger of those left out of an America which ignores common needs then erupts. People are imitation machines. The two absolutely are connected. Anger would not be burning down stores if people did not know they are getting screwed. The highest office in the land sets an example of unearned riches and presides over a fire sale as lives and the future of the American people is sold away and written off.

As usual people are burning down the wrong things. That is why nothing ever gets better.

Never let a good crisis pass without taking advantage of it.

        No matter who you hurt.

        As far as conspiracies,

There are way too many coincidences and coordinated reactions not to have a common thread tying them together.

People who deny conspiratorial groupings are ignorant and in denial. This world is run by a very few Elitist groups who are running everything.

Yesterday, here in Toronto, Canada, a black girl with known mental health problems jumped out of a window of her mom’s apartment and did not survive the fall from the 23rd floor. A couple of hours later there was a loud demonstration against the racist police who are to blame because they did not respond fast enough to the 911 call of her mother!

Yeah, right Jim, except “some people doing some things” on 9/11 weren’t some sans-culottes in an urban jacquerie but trained agents of a foreign power attacking the U.S. At any rate, both kinds of the “some people” know they will get away with mayhem because the country is ruled by corrupt weaklings or cheap demagogues who have no pride, or guts, that is the things from which you get the sense of purpose.

    • K-Dog May 29, 2020 at 1:33 pm #

No pride, or guts, that is the things from which you get the sense of purpose.

Trump has plenty of pride, just ask him. Pride comes before a fall. Having guts is a rare condition which requires belief and values to stick to and hold up. You are confusing guts with arrogance and a sense of deranged entitlement. They are quite different things but from a distance they can look almost the same. America is saturated with a sense of deranged entitlement.

Believing in foreign agents is a lot more comfortable than admitting that some things need to be changed around here. I understand.

      • JohnAZ May 29, 2020 at 2:09 pm #

There are enemies in all directions. When you are “king of the Mountain” human nature wants to knock you off the top. Trump represents the 20th century America that every other group in the world, including some domestic ones, want to see knocked off its throne.

This is what’s driving me crazy about a lot of people. They simply ought to know better. I think perhaps what’s going on is that while they have had many of the pieces for years it still causes cognitive dissonance to realize the scope of the deep state, deep and wide. World wide. It’s huge.

          • Nightowl May 30, 2020 at 5:03 pm #

            It is cognitive dissonance, indeed.

    Leiber Code “Article 1.

A place, district, or country occupied by an enemy [e.g. Washington] stands, in consequence of the occupation [in every State with a military base], under the Martial Law of the invading or occupying army, whether any proclamation declaring Martial Law, or any public warning to the inhabitants, has been issued or not. Martial Law is the immediate and direct effect and consequence of occupation or conquest.”

I thought to get it straightened out but after being on hold with Target customer service and a few Target managers for an hour I hung up the phone. I decided not to try again since I am the only one who ever looks at my website from a Target store. I do not want to wast another hour.

The guys that wrote “The Fourth Turning” predicted this in 1991.

This skepticism that big, bold solutions will come from the Trump administration is shared even by Bannon, a fairly reliable defender of the president’s since he was pushed out of his role as White House chief strategist in August 2017. In an interview, Bannon said that the administration never took seriously the possibility that a catastrophe like the coronavirus could strike, which has led to a failure of imagination in dealing with the problem.

“You had a called shot in the beginning of this administration, and nobody paid attention to it,” he said. Bannon was a promoter of the crisis theories in “The Fourth Turning” when he was at the White House.

“I got mocked and ridiculed by so many people. They said: ‘You can’t believe in this stuff. It makes you look like a kook,’” he said. The doubters included the president, who told Bannon that the theory was too dark for him. “He said, ‘I’m an optimist.’ I said: ‘I’m a realist. And this is reality,’” Bannon recalled.

Bannon said that instead of coming up with new programs to deal with the millions of people who may never get their old jobs back, the White House and its conservative allies were falling back on the kind of stimulus policies they purport to loathe.

Where were all the conservative businessmen who have insisted that the government get out of their way, Bannon asked? “I saw them all, once again, run to the government for bailouts,” he said.

Writing in 1997 in “The Fourth Turning,” Howe and Strauss warned that after the 2020 crisis, the party in power at the time “could find itself out of power for a generation” akin to the 1860 Democrats and 1929 Republicans.

They want what they want and pride thmeselves on their ability to lie to get it. That is what a real man is in this shitstorm. Men are imitation machines. The tradgedy is that there are some things that can’t be imitated. Good character being one. A desire to be accountable for your actions. There are many things that can’t be imitated.

Those officers who stood by while George Floyd was choked are going to be haunted for the rest of their lives for not stepping up to ensure that he be cuffed appropriatly. I’ve been around long enough to know I’d not want to bring that Karma upon myself and especially over a thevin dirtbag. I would have stepped up. I don;’t have any doubt about it. None, writing that last sentence made me rember the last time I did step up and stop abuse. It was about a year and a half ago.

A rent-a-cop was dealing with a homeless woman who was being escorted ‘off the premises’. He was way way way over the line and I had to step in between them and tell him to leave her alone.

I said, The next time you touch her I am going to punch you in the face. I was looking at him straight in the eye and he looked me over good. Then he looked at the car I had just stepped out of. He paid more attention to the car and I think perhaps he concluded that maybe just maybe I might be able to afford lawyers if push came to shove.

He backed down like the bitch he was. She said ‘Thank you sir’ and she was gone.

“And so, with the unjust killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, the quest for cosmic justice resumes — that is, the justice that settles all the scores of racial grievance for all time, which, of course, is unlikely to be satisfied by any means.”

Exactly, Jim. That’s why the conflict and chaos between the races will continue until they are separated. Even then, ways will be found by the ‘racially’ maimed to settle old scores. And the brain’s anatomy and operation themselves, the amygdala, the thalamus, etc., the so called reptilian brain, signals foe (fight or flight) much more strongly than friend.

Trump’s blundering on the Covid virus is being diffused by his attacks on China, Scarborough, Twitter and the Thugs of America.
He came out strong today on China. Smartly avoided questions about the Floyd killing, but previously fired the RPG loaded with ‘looting and shooting’ right into the maw of the milquetoast Left.

      • tucsonspur May 29, 2020 at 6:59 pm #

Look at 2016. There’s always a chance. A lot of variables are in play not the least of which are Biden, voter turnout, path of the virus, mail in ballots, etc. Would Trump benefit from a civil war?

      • K-Dog May 29, 2020 at 7:28 pm #

No, circumstance reach a crittical mass and then the slightest thing is like a lit match flicked into dead dryleaves. Random circumstances are sparks which will cause inferos to rage.

Think of the Cuban revolution. A small number of men took a whole country because the people wanted change. Batista cared about Cuban people the way Trump cares for Americans. was

Conversly if circumstances have not created conditions for mayhem and bellies are full, not all bellies but enough, all the plans of mice and men could not get people to care a whit for change.

Russiagate was bad mojo but people would have liked to see Trump go. Now all we have are frustrations and the beginnings of a summer where black lives are going to matter. A lot.

Sure he has some time, but he’s utterly inept. His spin needs to touch an organic emotion in the populace, and tweeting lies and calling journalists names, distracting with TFH conspiracies and whatever distractions he can concoct, won’t do it for him.

He’s an incompetent dickhead. He’s fucked, and will only have himself to blame.

Once, when we were young, the apologists for big.gang.guv collectivists used to cry out in anguish – “Freedom has had it’s chance and failed. Time for dictatorship.”

Seeing how there’s never been a truly free society, and the Bad Orange Man has illuminated how truly evil our rulers are, I think it’s time for us normies to adopt on or all of this tripartite slogan:

“The Dimocrats have had their chance (as a party) and failed.”

“Dimocrazy has had its chance and failed.”

“GuvMint itself has had its chance and failed. Hang ‘em high!”

If you want to know how and why we got here.

(Bloomberg Opinion) — Fairness is a theme running through the writings of Michael Lewis, our second guest this week on Masters in Business, and author of bestsellers such as “Moneyball” and “The Big Short.” Because fairness is critical in sports, Lewis developed a podcast, “Against the Rules,” now in its second season, drawing on some of the parallels between sports and life.

He says podcasting allows him to exercise a very different set of muscles from writing. He works with an ensemble to help tell different stories in a different way. The first season of the podcast was about referees while the second season, now underway, is about coaches.

Lewis also sees analogies between sports and government. His most recent book, “The Fifth Risk: Undoing Democracy,” looks at what happens when the leaders of various government departments don’t show up to begin their jobs — ever.

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who was appointed head of the Trump transition team after the 2016 election, created a set of tools to help the president-elect assume management of the federal government and its 9.1 million employees. It is required by the Presidential Transition Act of 1963 (updated in 2015), legislation that establishes the formal mechanism for the orderly transfer power after a presidential election.

Alas, in 2017, it was not meant to be, and Donald Trump fired the entire Christie-assembled transition team. The result is that there are thousands of government positions still unfilled, including key posts at the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which perhaps accounts for the U.S.’s chaotic response to the coronavirus pandemic. Lewis describes the transition as a unique failing in presidential history, a refusal to discharge legal obligations in an intelligent, coherent way. Hence, Lewis says, the U.S. as presently governed is “uncoached.”

Caved to the girlie man with the girlie voice and the effeminate gestures. Even Melania told him to take COVID 19 seriously and he blew her off. Everyone knew how this would go. He would start with a few good men. After a while, he would tire of them and he would put in his yes men. Then something terrible would come to our door, and all the yes men would agree with Trump, every single golden syllable. And the country would go to hell. And that’s where we are.

  47. thwack May 29, 2020 at 7:32 pm #

I have a new theory to explain the curious behavior of officer Derek Chauvin.

But before I get to it I have an observation to ask about. In all the video of the event I have viewed, George Floyd is either standing up, or face down on the ground; where is the video of him being taken down to the ground, because I have not seen it?

    Does it exist?

Was it cut from the original video in order to give the appearance he did not resist arrest?

    Did he resist arrest?

Or did he collapse/fall to the ground?

Anyway my theory on Chauvin’s behavior is,

he got caught up in a grudge match of sorts with the “civilians” witnessing the arrest, and the more they asked Chauvin to ease up on Floyd, the more Chauvin resisted doing so; to the extent that Floyd became a type of prop of sorts in a grudge match between two groups of people, the arresting officers VS the witnessing civilians.

The more the civilians ask/told Chauvin to get off him, the more entrenched Chauvin became in his “you don’t tell me how to do my fucking job, I’ll show you…!”

Chauvin got so caught up in this grudge match that he killed a man without really intending to?

His intent was to demonstrate his power and authority, not to Floyd, but to the black people watching the arrest, as a warning to them: “see, look what our blue gang can do. We run these streets and don’t you fucking forget it… (cough, niggers)”

Unfortunately, in the process, he forgot that the man he pinned to the ground with a knee on his neck, who was formerly gasping for air and crying out for his mama, had gone strangely silent and limp.

    So,

according to my theory, if this arrest had taken place away from witnesses, George Floyd might be alive today? Because the death of George Floyd may have had nothing to do with George Floyd, and EVERYTHING to do with “sending messages” to the people witnessing it?

Finally, regarding the charge of attempting to use a counterfeit $20 bill?

Well, unless it was really obvious, its not really a crime to be in possession of a counterfeit $20 bill. I don’t study every federal reserve note I get, and even if I did, Im not sure I could tell the difference VISUALLY, since they make changes all the time?

Especially with the $100 dollar bills. I would probably be tipped off more by feel than by sight?

Regardless, I get all my currency from some other person/machine; just like everyone else; so the fact George Floyd may have been in possession of a fake $20 bill is no PROOF he was engaged in criminal activity; but that he may have been punked by the person who passed it to him?

Either he produced it, or he was PAID with it by someone else?

I tend towards the latter; if its true at all that he tried to pass a fake $20?

I will end with this question: If you found yourself alone, in an elevator with officer Derek Chauvin, and you could only ask him one question; what one question would you ask him?

    • Janos Skorenzy May 29, 2020 at 9:11 pm #

Anglin says the sign in the video for the price of diesel is wrong. That diesel hasn’t been that price since 2016. Did this really just happen? Anyway, you know the address if you want to check it out. I’m not endorsing it, but the fact that they worked together is very fishy too.

If you look around in historical photos, Laundromat, you can find pictures of Mussolini standing at podiums, with his head thrown back, and a look on his face that reminds me of someone we all know. In fact, I never paid much attention to Trump until he was elected. When I saw a picture of him on the podium, the first thought I had was, “Jesus, he looks just like Mussolini standing there. If you take a photo of each one, and place them next to each other, the resemblance is uncanny. I suspect the mentality of each one of them was the same, especially when it came to public adoration. You understand of course, the Trump cultists will deny any similarities between the two, but check it out. Let me know what you think.

The offense to the dignity of the nation may be every bit as bad as what we can expect from Trump. At the end of four years Biden or Trump the rich man will have everything and there rest of America won’t have two nickles to rub together.

I will instead move to place the nation on a more equitable economic foundation with merit and hard work being rewarded.

If those who rule throw the occasional asshole cop who crosses the line to the crowd for justice, it would cause the rest of the LE people to question whether or not their futures are secure. If our masters throw one of us out to dry, they may throw us all out for retribution they think, IMHO. Frankly I don’t get it. If you have a bad apple in the barrel, toss it to the hogs.

I’m liking this. Bad wheels can get enough momentum up to turn themselves. A social train wreck where destruction produces yet more destruction until everything is destroyed.

Looks much like the color revelation’s that soros funded all over the world not so long ago.
This play book has been played out for so long and yet somehow it works.

        https://www.attac.hu/2017/06/george-soros-open-society-foundations-and-their-role-in-color-revolutions/

Firstly, their incumbent leader of the regimes must be very unpopular and face the so-called „lame-duck syndrome”, which refers to the elite defection related to their expectation about the future.

Secondly, the anti-regimes forces are enforced by mass-media and foreign influences.

Thirdly, the revolution must not be ideological; it must be for the sake of better national integration, freedom, liberal democracy and economic development. Most importantly, the demand for such improvement should be massive among the population.

Lastly, the anti-regime forces should also be motivated by the grievances on the corrupted government, which is supported by a foreign state which the people do not desire. The anti-regime forces that arouse in post-Soviet countries can only be transformed into a successful color revolution if these criteria are fulfilled. Although there might be other variables that are also able to determine the color revolution, these four criteria can still be the fundamental conditions for a color revolution.

The main and direct causes of the colour revolutions were United States foreign-policy interests (strategic expansion, energy security and the war on terrorism) as they were serviced by International Non-governmental Organisations (Ingos). Without the intervention of these US-sponsored Ingos, the political landscapes in countries like Georgia, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan would not have been repainted in new colours.

These three revolutions each followed a near-identical trajectory; all were spearheaded by the American democratization Ingos working at the behest of the US foreign policy establishment.

The comparable political convulsions of Uzbekistan (May 2005) and Azerbaijan (November 2005) did not experience “colour revolutions” due to a variation in the independent variable, US foreign-policy priorities.

Any color revolution taken place in Eastern Europe involved George Soros, who is most well-known for playing a major role in the funding and facilitating of pro-capitalist liberal system changes, none of which brought anything other than greater misery, impoverishment, and unequlity everywhere. Soros has had a bad influence who helped bring down socialism.

Interesting post. I never really thought of George Soros as a capitalist robber baron billionaire before but that is apparently what he is. It makes sense now how at a certain point capitalism and communism lead to the same outcomes.

A trained philosopher makes the case for separation.

JS: Imagine you cheated on your husband or wife. They catch you. You beg for forgiveness. They say, Yes I forgive you – but they don’t. Not really and they never will. Thus it is between Whites and Blacks. They’re not going to forgive us because it’s all they have. Letting us go free means the end of their free ride. And they know they can’t compete on a level playing field with us, unconsciously if not consciously, at least at the better jobs and in the professions.

    • tucsonspur May 30, 2020 at 2:38 am #

It’s either that or endless conflict, with whites on top, blacks below, or blacks on top, whites below. Both on the same plane will be when the fight really gets serious, if it goes that far.

    • KesaAnna May 30, 2020 at 3:51 am #

Of course Blacks are going to milk the U.S, narrative of the American Civil War for all it is worth.

Of course Jews , and previously Communists , are going to milk the U.S. narrative of World War II for all it is worth.

      What of it ?

It sure looks to me like it is your own people who are the real hurdle.

It looks to me that it is really white people who absolutely , positively , will not entertain the idea that the United States may have been of no greater historical significance than the Principality of Anhalt – Zerbst.

It’s white people who absolutely loathe the idea that other white people — in grey tunics — Southerners , Austrians , and Germans — may have been right all along.

As far as Germans in grey tunics go , I have been saying for 30 years that Hitler and the Nazis is bullshit. A cunard . A red herring.

To see what’s wrong with the WW II narrative , a narrative pushed primarily by white people , you have to go back to 1914 , and ask in what way a dispute between white Austrians and white Serbs legitimately concerned other whites in other places ?

      Answer ; It fucking didn’t.

” they know they can’t compete on a level playing field with us, unconsciously if not consciously, at least at the better jobs and in the professions. ”

This is …. sort of … right.

That is , it is other whites who screw you out of the better jobs , etc.

The Black lobby , like the Gay lobby , is really a fucking joke .

And only incrementally more credible than child molesters lurking behind every tree.

Agree. White liberals are the biggest roadblock to whites generally. And yes Kesa you have been right all along. America, as it is constituted now has nothing to offer white people. And to the extent it ever did those aspects of the country were actively dismantled long ago. And for whites, perhaps the most significant development is that America has become a very hostile place.

    From the essay:

For instance, with over 30-million suddenly unemployed, facing bankruptcy one way or another, maybe even eviction and hunger, and tens of thousands of small businesses failing, what will be the public mood if the stock markets keep shooting up and up and up, as they’ve been doing for a month?

Those rising share values, which enrich a tiny percentage of the public, are a direct result of the Federal Reserve inflating the national debt by “printing” money-from-thin-air.

I’m the first to admit that I don’t understand all the high-level financial mechanics – how the Fed printing money leads to artificially inflated share prices, and “exuberant” Price-to-Earnings Ratios.

However I do question the idea that it will “enrich a tiny percentage of the public”. Gallup says that some 55% of Americans own stocks – either directly, or through their pension investment portfolios (of whatever stripe).

In a context where interest rates on cash and fixed deposits are close to zero, property (both commercial and residential) is very flaky, and precious metals ditto, where is the average middle-class person who thinks about their retirement income supposed to invest their surplus?

It’s a rhetorical question … I certainly don’t have an answer. The future (as far as I can see) is pretty bleak … there will be a significant decrease in the standard of living for millions of people – particularly as they hit 55-65.

Kirk came close in ‘A Piece of The Action’.

Kirk informs Krako that the Federation is taking over the entire planet, but if Krako helps to maintain order and be a willing agent of the Federation, they will give him a “piece of the action”. Krako agrees, but for safekeeping, Kirk transports him to the Enterprise. They then make the same offer to Okmyx, which he quickly accepts. As they prepare for the meeting of all the planet’s bosses, Krako’s men attack Okmyx’s headquarters, but the Enterprise uses the ship’s phasers to stun the men as they approach. Both Okmyx and Krako realize that they are at Kirk’s mercy, and agree to work for the Federation. Kirk installs Okmyx as the top boss with Krako as his lieutenant, and states that a Federation ship will come by once a year for their 40% cut of the planet’s “action.”

It was Original Gangster talk befor gangstas were black. I think it for the purposes of this quiz, counts.

      Kirk got Funky.

It was the Horizon which went missing 100 years earlier. The inhabitants of planet Sigma Iotia II being perfect humans could not think for themselves. But the Sigmaloids were adept imitators, they could copy anything. As long as they had a leader they were Ok but without one they were lost.

The Horizon crashed and survivors taught the medieval inhabitants to read and they had a big print book about gangsters in the 1020s.

When the enterprise arrived the generations had copied the culture and technology of 1920 and the whole planet was run by mobsters.

The importance of the Horizon was that it allowed Kirk to violate the prime directive since the Horizon had turned the whole planet into a violation of it.

The writers of this episode knew people on average are lost without leaders. Even the bosses on top of the social pyramid of Sigma Iotia II had to consult ‘the book’ to know what to do.

Kirk left them with instructions to keep everything working without the drive by shootings because he put himself in charge making for only one gang which could not war with itself.

Just before the Enterprise broke orbit Sulu beamed down a book on Zen and McCoy beamed down a copy of ‘How To Do Universal Health Care right for Dummies’. Kirk was left wondering what the 40% piece of the action that would go to the Federation in taxes every year would be good for.

Obviously they would be showing up with instructions to yes spend the money on interstate highways but don’t do suburbs.

I love it when JHK whitesplains to Black America why they have nothing to complain about, and should just be patient, because things are bound to get better for them in maybe 30 or 40 years if they just behave themselves.

What an asinine and demeaning response. It also shows how little respect you have for yourself and your betters.

Let me tell you the reasons Asians do better. And there are many from which you can learn. Asians do better because they are not lazy asses like you. They study hard, they apply themselves, they save for a future, they work cooperatively, they are humble, they show respect to others, they are willing to learn from others, they don’t have their false and undeserved pride dictating their behavior, they are not crude showoffs of shiny bling. They care for their surroundings. They are meticulous in their work ethic. I actually saw my Asian neighbor cut the grass with scissors, that’s how careful and meticulous they are.

No one expects to became an Asian, but to demean them in such a way, that just shows you for the hypocrite racist scumbag that you are.

Protestors Criticized For Looting Businesses Without Forming Private Equity Firm First

    https://www.theonion.com/protestors-criticized-for-looting-businesses-without-fo-1843735351

MINNEAPOLIS—Calling for a more measured way to express opposition to police brutality, critics slammed demonstrators Thursday for recklessly looting businesses without forming a private equity firm first. “Look, we all have the right to protest, but that doesn’t mean you can just rush in and destroy any business without gathering a group of clandestine investors to purchase it at a severely reduced price and slowly bleed it to death,” said Facebook commenter Amy Mulrain, echoing the sentiments of detractors nationwide who blasted the demonstrators for not hiring a consultant group to take stock of a struggling company’s assets before plundering. “I understand that people are angry, but they shouldn’t just endanger businesses without even a thought to enriching themselves through leveraged buyouts and across-the-board terminations. It’s disgusting to put workers at risk by looting. You do it by chipping away at their health benefits and eventually laying them off. There’s a right way and wrong way to do this.” At press time, critics recommended that protestors hold law enforcement accountable by simply purchasing the Minneapolis police department from taxpayers.

JHK: “Once cycles of violence are set in motion, they are very difficult to stop.” This brings to mind an eminent caution that may have helped avoid WW III. In the “hot line” exchanges between President Kennedy and Premier Khrushchev, the latter urged a speedy resolution to the Cuban Missile Crisis, stating [I paraphrase]: “Once this starts to escalate, it will get out of hand and then neither you nor I will be able to do anything to stop it.”

It was the much older politician and veteran of World War II sending pointed advice to the American President, whose country had never been invaded, burned and bombed.

Kennedy, to his credit, responded promptly, offering to remove the (already obsolete) liquid-fueled US missiles from Turkey in exchange for the Russians taking theirs out of Cuba. This agreement was to have been kept secret, for fear of his opponents accusing JFK of being “soft on communism”.

Interesting to note that Cuban leader Fidel Castro was urging his Russian allies to go for it. I would hate to think what Cuba would look like following even a limited nuclear exchange. (For those who have not read Herman Kahn, he theorizes “spasm war” which is pretty self-explanatory.)

    https://www.foxnews.com/us/supreme-court-rejects-challenge-to-limits-on-church-services-roberts-sides-with-liberals

Roberts has sided with liberals so many times now that he should be considered as one. Or part of the Ruling Class that is above such arbitrary designations. It’s all about who has money and who don’t. Who is higher up the Pyramid – which is about more than just money btw. Money won’t get you into the Capstone. Look at the back of the dollar bill. See how it’s separated from the rest of the Pyramid. Got it? Or do I have to Whitesplain some more?

    • SoftStarLight May 30, 2020 at 3:48 pm #

This was really an attack on the Constitution and any remnants of the real America left. Clearly those things are not part of the Capstone. Wasn’t Roberts appointed by either Bush Sr. or Jr.? I’m sure they are part of the Capstone. And actually yes, you do :-). If you don’t mind.

      • Janos Skorenzy May 30, 2020 at 4:02 pm #

The Bushes are Skull & Bones and most certainly part of the American Capstone. How far up are they in the Global one? Don’t know. Again, the question of faction comes in. The Zionists vs the UN Illuminati. The UN faction is clearly the tip of the spear on the Corona Terror Attack, and thus they may tend to be higher in the Global Pyramid. But the Zionists aren’t fighting it so they are in on it or they feel they have to go along – which would mean they have less power ultimately.

In any case, the Antichrist himself will be the one to resolve their conflicts or BE the resolution of them in his own person.

        • Janos Skorenzy May 30, 2020 at 4:12 pm #

The Capstone is a Pyramid too of course, but a much smaller one. And at the Top? There can only be ONE (or maybe a Council of Seven)!

And the Catholics are with the UN faction openly, but secretly in bed with the Rothschilds, having merged their finances with theirs. They’ve got their bases covered on both ends.

      • Kakadu Man May 30, 2020 at 4:28 pm #

This was really an attack on the Constitution and any remnants of the real America left.

No, it was more a common-sense public health measure – physical separation to help mitigate the spread of the virus.

Roberts correctly compared churches with other crowd-based activity – and said similar or more severe limits apply to concerts, movies and sporting events “where large groups of people gather in close proximity for extended periods of time.”

Brett Kavanaugh – in the minority dissent – incorrectly compared churches with other businesses that do not equally rely on large crowds in the one place for a long time – “supermarkets, restaurants, hair salons, cannabis dispensaries …”.

So the better argument prevailed. Roberts is far from a Liberal.

        • Janos Skorenzy May 30, 2020 at 4:52 pm #

Thanks for the run down. Now tell us why Kavanaugh is incorrect, besides the fact that you don’t like him. Church is essential for many of us – food for the soul. Thus a supermarket thereof if you will.

          • Kakadu Man May 30, 2020 at 5:20 pm #

It has nothing to do with Kavanaugh the person – it’s just that his argument is flawed. You have to compare church services with crowds – concerts, cinemas, sports – which are all likewise cancelled or severely curtailed.

The argument was not whether a church is an essential service – that is highly subjective – and it wasn’t even an argument about freedom of religion … after all just about any church could hold an online service every day … as many are doing of course.

The state had the authority to close baseball and movies on emergency health grounds … and churches too. Straightforward.

          • Janos Skorenzy May 30, 2020 at 6:18 pm #

No because the Churches were willing – for the most part – to go along with the mandated social distancing rules. Yet in some places huge Cathedrals were only allowed 10 people! While stores of the same size would be allowed to host dozens or even over a hundred.

        • benr May 31, 2020 at 10:36 am #

          Call bullshit on you legion!

Hundreds of people allowed in big box stores but can’t go to church?

    • K-Dog May 30, 2020 at 5:02 pm #

Thank you for that. It is good to get all the info, good to get the parallax view.

A well groomed brit talking shit. The criticism about the film footage being old is a cheap shot. The Gates foundation and other foundations are not about to start funding radical environmentalism anytime soon. The sun would go red giant first.

The point of Planet Of The Humans is it dares to go where other such films do not. It advocates that lifestyle change is the only way humanity can survive considering the huge numbers we have bred ourselves into. it dares to mention the ‘O’ word. The word I dare not type for to most Americans the word is held in the same low esteem as the ‘N’ word.

I’m a technical dog so I was able to notice the truth get streached the other way. The video makes a technical argument
and the technical issues can be discussed ad nauseum. The real point is too many people and the need for extreme lifestyle change. Something some well groomed posers will fight to the death.

    • K-Dog May 30, 2020 at 5:25 pm #

Eighteen minutes in the narrator gets into material which is explained by Jevons’ paradox and I am in agreement here. Jevons’ is not mentioned but the correct conclusions are presented.

Much of the criticism is legitimate and at the end it confirms my earlier comment that film is about too-many-people. It than goes on to cleverly establish that the idea of too many people is ridiculous. It does this by very manipulative means and that is the point of this video.

I’m very forgiving about “Planet of the Humans”. The target audience is not deep. The target audience is America and America is not well versed in environmental issues. America is brainwashed. America needs basic info.

Burning down forests to watch You-Tube videos is bad.

do I detect a white grammar error?

        • Billy Hill May 30, 2020 at 7:38 pm #

          Typo.

We forgive and usually ignore these since the intent is typically clear.

Sometimes as with Kesa we see “cunard” (the shipping line) when she meant canard. It would have been easy to pick that off, but why? Once in a graduate seminar I mispronounced “paradigm.” To this day the mere memory disrupts my body chemistry, especially since Thomas Kuhn’s seminal work has become mainstream. Ah, the horror.

BTW — i just now corrected a typo: Buy for But.

Grammar is another matter. Upthread I even schooled Janos. A particularly ugly pattern of language having to do with the case following a preposition.

It drives me nuts ‘then’ or ‘than’. Thi mistakes result from going too fast but often my eyes correct them when I look things over. After I subit I often see them instantly. It must be the change in font that pops out my brain fixes. Regardless, I try and be correct but a few thousand words a week in a format that does not allow for edits. Shit happens. If you don’t ever do anything you never make mistakes. Well intentioned mistakes that hurt no one bother me not.

            Funny you should mention it.

My last boss whom I detested was quite smart and he wasn’t afraid to tell you HOW smart. He had a degree in Physics but somehow wound up in a high financial position. He liked to tell me how some financial phenomenon was like ‘Brownian Motion.’

At some point in our cultural history the word paradigm came into common and frequent usage. When it reared its head in the business world Mod Sregdor, my boss, jumped on it with both feet (this was his custom when any new word came along). And so it was paradigm this and paradigm that at every opportunity for a year or two. The only problem was that he pronounced it as ‘perry-a-dine.’ It caused me to grind my molars and the hair on the back of my neck stood up.

Q– TS Kuhn: The Structure of Scientific Revolutions

Back in the day (Foucault, Derrida, Levi-Strauss) everything was “structure this and structure that.” Structuralism. French. Heady, frothy and ultimately indecipherable.

Kuhn’s work was refreshingly matter-of-fact. I submit it was from there that “paradigm” came into everyday use much in the sense he intended. (1972-74)

As for the rest of the French intellectuals and the mess they left — look up the Sokol Hoax. The Sokol Hoax squared. At one point I had a pocket buzzword generator. Handy device at parties where the associate professoriat was not quite certain what they were talking about.

Parts of Hartford that were set alight back in ’68 never got restored; all the large food stores were looted and burned and to this day there isn’t a large grocery store within city limits. Every once in awhile — to great fanfare — somebody tries to open one, but the next thing you know they are OOB. Pretty regularly the local media guilt trips us about the ‘food desert’ Hartford is. Well, they shouldn’t have burned down the goddam stores that were there.

I have made this point over and over.
They burn it all down and start whining later how they can’t easily shop.

    Vietnam 0 COVID 19 deaths
    America 105,000 COVD 19 deaths

Read em and weep boys and girls. We just can’t beat Vietnam I guess.

Indeed. The Mayor of Minneapolis didn’t want the cops to get hurt so he pulled them back. He texted the arsonists warning them to be careful about gas lines in case they got hurt. He is a disgrace.

      • thwack May 30, 2020 at 7:41 pm #

Janos, I don’t agree with all the rioting, but I confess that as a black male, I feel a little more secure and “valuable” from all the destruction being done in the name of a dead black man.

Ive never been arrested, never got in trouble in my life… but there were times when I was subject to a “felony stop” and the cops were so nervous, that I got nervous.

Both times it was either a case of mistaken identity, or a white person reported me as “suspicious…”

Finally, Im sure Ive made changes in my behavior that Im not even conscious of, in order to appear docile and non threatening to white people.

For example, when I was a teenager, I wouldn’t even cut through yards in my own neighborhood, where everybody knew me; and interestingly, no one had to tell me to do that?

Also, Im older now, with gray hair increasingly beginning to dominate my head; so that makes me less threatening and possibly even noble to the same white people who called the cops on me for “looking suspicious” in the past (cue Morgan Freeman doc voice)

Im still pretty ripped; I lift and hit the heavy and speed bags, but thats because I don’t have health insurance or conceal carry. I draw the line at looking/acting like a faggot to make white people comfortable with me.

So yeah, I confess Im a beneficiary of all the rioting; but its very similar to the way all white people benefit from the system of white supremacy; including the white people who can’t or won’t practice racism, like white babies and children…

I guess Im a victim of unearned privilege?

        *just like you*

“…so that makes me less threatening and possibly even noble to the same white people who called the cops on me for “looking suspicious…

I draw the line at looking/acting like a faggot to make white people comfortable with me.”

          Good stuff.

We all stand on the shoulders of giants as Newton said. No one starts from zero. We all have “privilege” in some sense, some more than others. Those that are really oppressed? The Law of Compensation will seek them out sooner or later.

Blacks have gotten their compensation. It’s not our fault they have largely squandered it.

Hey LB imagine how distressed the Micks will be when Trump wins re election in November. I myself was a little distressed when I learned the Irish PM is a homosexual from India! Say what?

YOU JUST LEARNED THAT? Hes been in power for years….
        but da ya know this?

Ireland is the only other country with birth citizenship
        Ireland is dying.
Many years ago I saw a photo of the ‘new’ Irish..the real Black Irish.

        • BackRowHeckler May 30, 2020 at 7:41 pm #

The Irish PM stated there is no longer any need for plump, redheaded Irish babies … now that they’re importing tens of thousands of Angolans, Nigerians, Congoese and Afghans.

          Hey LB, who’s pitying who?

BTW malthuss, in my Factchecking Fairy mode, I should also let you have the list of 30-odd jurisdictions that offer birth citizenship.

          https://www.businessinsider.com/countries-that-recognize-birthright-citizenship-jus-soli-2018-10?r=US&IR=T

No need to thank me. I feel your gratitude. I know how much you want to be good and not be a bad person who makes stuff up.

Bonne continuation, as the French say.

(Their citizenship laws are interesting too. My Parisian French+English friends have a daughter who’s a social worker. She works with mostly Somali women who have babies there and are then entitled to stay in France until the child is 18. So, you see, lots of places do lots of things. And they can all be looked up on the Interwebz, but preferably not on the kind of sites that tell you only the US and Ireland have birth citizenship, because sites like that do not have your welfare at heart. They want you to believe things that aren’t true, and that is never good.)

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_nationality_law

Obviously I will leave it to you to rack your brains as regards the site that told you only Ireland and the US had birth citizenship and then make a note to remind yourself that they are Not A Trustworthy Source.

Why do you care? The Taoiseach is not going to be reaching over in the mens’ room to grab your junk any place you go to. He is in Ireland. It would be a very long reach.

        See this photo?

        http://www.arthurlloyd.co.uk/Dublin/TheRoundRoomAtTheRotundoDublin.htm

It’s the Rotunda maternity hospital in Dublin. As far as I know it’s still there, as it was in 1979 when Leo Varadkar was born in it.

His father came from Mumbai to work as a doctor in the UK, where he met his future wife, Miriam, who hails from Dungarvan, County Waterford.

So Leo is Irish. Despite his father’s origins, Leo was raised as a Catholic and sent to St Francis Xavier National School, Blanchardstown, followed by The King’s Hospital in Palmerstown, a boarding school run by the Church of Ireland.

After that he graduated in medicine from Trinity College, Dublin.

He represents the Fine Gael party.

Just providing a bit of fact checking for you and malthuss, since you are, as ever, so loath to do your own.

        malthuss

        ‘YOU JUST LEARNED THAT?’

Now you’ve just learned the facts. Sorry they’re so boring and unremarkable – and just so, you know, Irish.

        • GreenAlba May 31, 2020 at 4:58 am #

          Leo Varadkar on his gayness:

” “it’s not something that defines me. I’m not a half-Indian politician, or a doctor politician or a gay politician for that matter. It’s just part of who I am, it doesn’t define me…”.

You could learn from him. But I suppose that would hurt.

A Valiant and necessary post GA, but I fear, pointless, except for putting on the record how lazy these two particular clowns can be.

At least they resisted the puerile ‘LOL’ing others.

Extraordinary info. The cop who murdered Daniel Shaver (White guy victim and White cop) lost his job but was cleared of any charges. The Police Dept then then hired him again so he could apply for a PTSD pension – for life. PTSD for humiliating a man with sadistic glee, making him crawl, beg, and do tricks and shooting him anyway. His widow weeps on camera. Truly the power of the Blues is extraordinary. The Elite treat their dogs very well indeed.

Here in Arizona, and I’ve already forgotten. But there are so many.
      Absolutely mind boggling.

  84. tucsonspur May 30, 2020 at 7:30 pm #

So near, yet so far. If these demonstrators were heavily armed, couldn’t they have overpowered the secret service police and stormed the White House? See below. Trump said vicious dogs would attack.

This is what can happen when dogs attack:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TI-0a5wc9g

But the guns would be dry of course.

I don’t think there are mine fields on the front lawn. Electrify the fence? I wonder what kind of arsenal is inside the WH, what kind of booby traps lie in wait. Secret passages. Hidden bunkers. Last night had an ominous, eerie look, like the president could be taken out easily if some were willing to risk their lives in an all out assault.

        BRH,
You will find Marine snipers on the roof. You will find Apache gun ships on standby at Andrews AFB.

But…but how can you shoot women and children?

Well, they run slower, so you gotta lead them less….(Tip ‘O the hat to the Captain)
