All the previous incidents of white cops killing blacks were just too ambiguous to seal the deal. Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri (a murky business); Tamir Rice in Cleveland (waving the BB gun that looked like a .45 automatic); Trayvon Martin (his killer George Zimmerman was not a cop and was not “white”); Eric Garner, Staten Island (black policewoman sergeant on the scene didn’t stop it); Philando Castile, Minneapolis (the cop was Hispanic and the vic had a gun). Even the recent February killing of jogger Ahmaud Arbery in Brunswick, Georgia, had some sketchy elements (did Arbery try to seize the shotgun?) — YouTube has scrubbed the video (?) — and then it took months for the two white suspects (not cops) to be arrested.

The George Floyd killing had none of those weaknesses. Plus, the video presented a pretty much universal image of oppression: a man with his knee on another man’s neck. Didn’t that say it all?  You didn’t need a Bob Dylan song to explain it. The Minneapolis police dithered for four days before charging policeman Derek Chauvin with Murder 3 (unpremeditated, but with reckless disregard for human life). The three other cops on the scene who stupidly stood by doing nothing have yet to be charged. Cut it, print it, and cue the mobs.

The nation was already reeling from the weird twelve-week Covid-19 lockdown of everyday life and the economic havoc it brought to careers, businesses, and incomes. In Minnesota, the stay-at-home order was just lifted on May 17, but bars and restaurants were still closed until June. Memorial Day, May 25, was one of the first really balmy days of mid-spring, 78 degrees. People were out-and-about, perhaps even feeling frisky after weeks of dreary seclusion. So, once the video of George Floyd’s death got out, the script was set: take it to the streets!

Few Americans were unsympathetic to the protest marches that followed. Remorse, censure, and tears flowed from every official portal, from the mouth and eyes of every political figure in the land. The tableau of Officer Chauvin’s knee on Mr. Floyd’s neck was readymade for statuary. Indeed, there are probably dozens of statues extant in the world of just such a scene expressing one people’s oppression over another. And yet the public sentiments early-on after the George Floyd killing had a stale, ceremonial flavor: The people demand change! End systemic racism! No justice, no peace! How many times have we seen this movie?

What is changing — and suddenly — is that now it’s not just black people who struggle to thrive in the USA, but everybody else of any ethnic group who is not a hedge fund veep, an employee of BlackRock Financial, or a K-Street lobbyist — and even those privileged characters may find themselves in reduced circumstances before long. The prospects of young adults look grimmest of all. They face an economy so disordered that hardly anyone can find something to do that pays enough to support the basics of life, on top of being swindled by the false promises of higher education and the money-lending racket that animates it.

So, it’s not surprising that, when night falls, the demons come out. Things get smashed up and burned down. And all that after being cooped up for weeks on end in the name of an illness that mostly kills people in nursing homes. Ugly as the ANTIFA movement is, it’s exactly what you get when young people realize their future has been stolen from them. Or, more literally, when they are idle and broke and see fabulous wealth all around them in the banks’ glass skyscrapers, and the car showrooms, and the pageants of celebrity fame and fortune on the boob tube. They are extras in a new movie called The Fourth Turning Meets the Long Emergency but they may not know it.

Hungry for change? You won’t have to wait long. This society may be unrecognizable in a few months. For one thing, there’s a good chance that the current violence in the streets won’t blow over as it has before. There hasn’t been such sudden, massive unemployment before, not even in the Great Depression — and we’re not even the same country that went through that rough episode. Just about every arrangement in contemporary life is on-the-rocks one way or another. Big business, small business, show business… it’s all cratering. The great big secret behind all that is not that capitalism failed; it’s that the capital in capitalism isn’t really there anymore, at least not in the amounts that mere appearances like stock valuations suggest. We squandered it, and now our institutions are straining mightily to pretend that “printing” money is the same as capital. (It’s just more debt.) Note, the stock markets are up this morning at the open! Go figure….

Change? We’re getting it good and hard, and not at a rate we were prepared for. It’s hugely disorienting. It produces friction, heat, and light, which easily becomes violence. There’s, for sure, plenty we can do to make new arrangements for American life without becoming communists or Nazis, but a lot of activities have to fail before we see how that could work. The overburden of obsolete complexity is crushing us, like Derek Chauvin’s knee on George Floyd’s neck. They were both, in their way, common men, caught in the maelstrom of metaphor. That proverbial long, hot summer we’ve heard about for so long…? It’s here.

This was rather a restrained comment by Mr. K. and I commend him for it. There is no way to know the consequences of our national folly. It will take decades to work out, but the changes are coming fast and furious now. Our responses will be driven by the mob, because that’s how human nature works. How many can take a long view and seek comfort in the Christian and Western values that have sustained us for millenia?

    • DrTomSchmidt June 1, 2020 at 10:56 am #

It was restrained. We have been getting poorer and sicker for years (see that the height of white Americans is declining, a sign of poorer nutrition), and its due to the illusion that growth in AVERAGE wealth makes up for the decline in MEDIAN wealth. some Blacks may be looting, which I can understand (its profitable), but there are a lot of white kids out destroying things.

I read a comment suggesting that the police shoot all and only white rioters; that won’t cause a media sensation, and might end the ferment.

Blacks are getting mad at White protesters: they want all the loot for themselves.

June 1, first day of hurricane season. It is predicted to be a doozy.

    • SoftStarLight June 1, 2020 at 10:39 am #

I know. So I bet you heard that tropical storm Amanda crossed over Mexico from the Pacific and is heading into the southern Gulf of Mexico. Plus there have already been two named storms in the Atlantic.

    • Ishabaka June 1, 2020 at 10:45 am #

Same prediction every year since I moved to coastal Florida in ’84. Every year is predicted to be “very active”.
If your a government official and you predict a bad hurricane season and it turns out to be mild, no one cares, and you keep your job.
If you predict a mild hurricane season and it turns out bad, everyone blames you and you lose your job.
Hurricane activity cannot be predicted with the tools we currently have.

Ha. This brings back a funny memory.

We lived in Colorado Springs in 1980. I had a major victory garden. That was a warm year. The corn I had planted did great, it was knee high on the Fourth and we had a feast, right of the stalk. Sweet like you would not believe.

The a volcano erupted in Washington. I had planted more corn in 1981 because of the good results. What a laugh. It was cold, rainy, I think it snowed in June, with the results that the corn was one inch tall by the Fourth. I plowed the whole thing under planted some cooler weather stuff on the edges and seeded the rest with bluegrass.

I learned a great lesson then, do not trust Mother Nature to do anything consistently in weather extreme areas.

In the 1800s, there was a reason why the New England farmers dropped their rock farming and moved west.

          • BackRowHeckler June 1, 2020 at 12:31 pm #

            Exactly, JAZ

Farms began to shut down in the 1840s, accelerated after the Civil War, and are being shut down to this day. Not many farms left now.

Throughout history, society stayed docile until the elite removed too much of the lower classes wealth. The main stabilizing force in the West has been the presence of a solid middle class to provide upper mobility and hope to the lower classes that opportunity existed. Our illustrious Deep State, yeah, the boys and girls of the elected class and their taskmasters, the bureaucracy, have ripped off our economy and shipped big chucks of it offshore For decades. Party choice has made no difference. The middle class has been decimated by the elite making attempts to secure their power base from competition from the entrepreneurs.

We are witnessing the anger of the recipients of the Fickle Finger Of Fate (remember Laugh in) in the streets bitching in the only way anyone will pay attention. These kids are being manipulated by international powers that they cannot even imagine. The cruds are feeding on the hopelessness of a generation with little chance for a future.

BTW, the election of either of the current candidates will not improve the lot of the folks rebelling now. Neither side has a clue how to put the capital back into capitalism, and help these generations improve themselves.

      Timing is everything.

There were six years between the fall of the Bastille and Napoleon’s administration of a “whiff of grapeshot”. During that six years there was a lot of shooting, but the strife had not burned through the revolutionary expectations of the people, the delusion that they could make a difference.

Gunfire now, while passions are running hot, will only stoke the fury of the fire. We have sown the wind, and now must reap.

The US will probably turn hard right and go fascist now, right? The Corporate Democrats (Neo-Liberals) will dump the Identity Politics to support a crackdown on the Comm…unists threatening their financial interests, right? This is what Chris Hedges predicts in his most recent book, “America: The Farewell Tour”.

    • K-Dog June 1, 2020 at 10:46 am #

It trump wins another term the hard right turn will be so hard the lean on the springs will lift the inside rubber right off the road. If Biden wins your turn will be tight enough for the rear rubber to slide.

Nations go fascist, communist or other forms of socialism when the current government setup proves ineffective against the problems of the day. If the Constitutional republic that the US is cannot deal with the negative effects of capitalism, socialism of some sort will occur. Janos is right on with this.

Independent minded citizens must outdo the gimme folks for this country to have a chance to recover from the hits it has taken. Faith in this occurring is ebbing rapidly.

    • Janos Skorenzy June 1, 2020 at 1:22 pm #

There is no other choice. But true Fascism is opposed to the pejorative sense that you are using. Fascism would not let the Corporations rob the People blind.

As to what will happen? Probably the fake Fascism of mom, baseball, apple pie and baseball bats.

America is as hard to predict as SARS-Cov-2. Doctor Shi Zhengli, the batwoman director of Wuhan Institute of Virology surfaced after going four months incognito except for a short WeChat note denying she was in a French Embassy seeking asylum. Last week she appeared on Beijing TV saying that Covid19 is just a tip of an iceberg in pandemics from “emerging pathogens”. Poor woman! Twenty five years of chasing bats for viruses, collecting thousands of samples but when the batshit hits the fan, it’s not even close to any of them. And now she says there is more ahead and likely under her radar, which means a good chance her viruses may kill most of us before the DOW goes below pre-FDR lows or another stupid cop kneels on a black counterfeiter’s neck until he’s dead and Antifa starts taking the struggle and looting to the suburbs. Take your pick!

And just like that, social distancing didn’t matter any more.

When the ordinary folks were out protesting the lockdowns, they were made to dutifully wear their masks and socially distance. When the rioting started, suddenly no one cared about social distancing. These thugs had the perfect opportunity to commit crime while wearing a mask to hide their identity, but the first thing they did was remove the mask.

    • K-Dog June 1, 2020 at 10:50 am #

It is going to matter again in about two weeks.

The last month spike in infections showed that people under 40 are spreading the disease. In two weeks the spike will show people under
30 are spreading it. Another interpretation of the statistics is that assholes are spreading it.

Read the late Robert Hughes excellent book The Culture of Complaint if you want to know where we are headed. Hughes talked about a Hobbesian world where everyone would be at war with everyone and nobody would be able to tell fact from fiction.

The Shock of the New – Ep 1 – The Mechanical Paradise

          • Kakadu Man June 1, 2020 at 2:26 pm #

Shock of the New remains absorbing.

I met Hughes at an arts party in Sydney once … he was part of a Sydney glitterati that took off overseas in the 1960s … it included Germaine Greer, Robert Helpmann, Clive James, Joan Sutherland, and Geoffrey Robinson.

Robert Hughes also wrote the best book on the founding of Australia as a penal colony. He was badly hurt in a car crash in a very remote part of the country … he never really recovered from it.

          • Billy Hill June 1, 2020 at 4:04 pm #

Before everybody gets all enamored of Hughes recall his dismissive eulogy of Jean-Michel Basquiat:
            Requiem For A Featherweight
Back in 1988. Hughes was not the only critic to disparage Basquiat.

Given Basquiat’s ethnicity and published commentary regarding the white power structure Hughes’ works stand a good chance of being banned for unwokeness.

          • Majella June 2, 2020 at 6:41 am #

Cargill, the name-dropping is really NOT doing you any favours, mate.

          • SpeedyBB June 4, 2020 at 9:28 pm #

Billy Hill: Basquiat, like the loathesome Andrew Warhola (about Hughes was also dismissive) was a mammoth nothingburger – but he hit the right metrics: * young * mixed black-PR * fucked the “right people” * heavy drug user * right place, right time * “James Dean Effect”: died young & handsome * Turned into a high-end consumer product by a Soho spinning big money at the time, a hungry bunch always on the lookout for “lookers”.

The market has gone as berserk for Basquiat’s crude (and derivative) paintings as it has for other well-promoted, sensational duds. White guilt springing leaks in the pocketbook?

            Basquiat = Theranos.

This sort of over-hyped phenomenon is steadily amusing to the Euro art poobahs, who correctly interpret it as another excessive American fad, evidence of a mad, toxic, money-drunk society.

(Yes of course I am jealous. Why not?)

Warhola was scared to death of dying (and reportedly never really recovered from the love taps administered by the pouty Valerie Solanas); it was probably because he knew it would be a shrewd career move but one from which it would be difficult for him to profit.

  9. K-Dog June 1, 2020 at 10:31 am #

And hot it will be. All the people out playing extras in this play with no author have already forgotten the arctic is melting. And since this is America most never even knew it was melting away to begin with!

America now thinks the distant future is next week. Can that lead to something better than Communism or fascism in America’s future. No way. American fascism is our future because deep down America does not want equality. Both systems as Americans understand them, fit the bill. Everyone wants to be on top and thinks they will be some day. Even when circumstances say no way Americans believe in a magical future.

I too would like something better. Nobody else does. They just want stuff and are willing to break windows to get it.

    • zekesdad June 1, 2020 at 10:56 am #

Equality is a concept enshrined in our constitution. It’s a legal ideal, and however imperfectly it has been (and still is) implemented in practice, it was never intended and never can be applied to material circumstances for the simple reason that people aren’t equally intelligent, hard working, creative, ambitious, lucky, etc.

      • K-Dog June 1, 2020 at 12:52 pm #

Yes, the People should not have to live in fear of hunger and homlessness. Beyond that minimum (and it will have to be a bare minimum – we’re not that wealthy), it’s all on them. American Capitalism has its place too.

JS – you remind me of the report that the benevolent bequest of $1200 (of their own “recycled” money) was not used by the poor starving freezing in the dark Americans for survival but to go out and splash on a big-screen TV or down payment on car or just a good time in an over-priced clip joint.

Guess it hasn’t sunk in yet: the party is beginning to look like it is really and truly over, Rover.

        • Ancianoloco June 4, 2020 at 12:56 pm #

Equality of opportunity, not equality of results.

    • elysianfield June 1, 2020 at 7:03 pm #

“because deep down America does not want equality….”

Equality does not exist in nature. The concept is an aberration.

      Prove otherwise.

      • Iananna June 1, 2020 at 8:46 pm #

        Why mention Nature?
Society is what people form to separate themselves from Nature (“red in tooth & claw”).
Ergo, why not form something equable?

        • Janos Skorenzy June 1, 2020 at 10:07 pm #

Because free men aren’t equal and equal men aren’t free. Nature and Nature’s, God, have so decreed.

        • elysianfield June 1, 2020 at 10:15 pm #

Because, in part, America exists in nature. The attempt to form something equitable, a heroic and commendable attempt, requires more than wishful thinking. and the question was “equality”, not equitable. “Equitable” can be a choice, ”
inequality”, not so much, as it is, in a biological sense, a given.

In a legal system, “equality” makes perfect sense.

        • Nightowl June 2, 2020 at 8:50 am #

Society is part of nature and therefore can never be truly equitable.

And it never has been truly equitable.

          This is 101-level university stuff.

Relationships with the police starting going downhill once they started getting all the military goodies. Folks picked up these dudes were going to war in serious way. With who? Why that would be you. That spelled the end of community policing in a big way.
The current crop of looters and budding arsonists is exactly what you get when the rule of law has taken a vacation. Why should they worry? Much bigger crimes happen without much of a penalty. Corporations pay a small fraction of their ill gotten gains in fines and of course, nobody ever goes to jail.

I don’t buy this fake nonsense.

If you suffer any kind of allergies I recommend you take REACTINE® Extra Strength.

Pink Floyd is playing another brick in the wall. That is, he is alive and well because the whole incident was staged. From the staged cop with the telling name to the staged crowd to the fake medical crew that arrives from nowhere and for no reason to the uncritical and inciting commie propaganda outlets to the no blue body in the morgue to the no funeral to the orchestrated response. This is basically Paliwood version 3.0

Trump has made his intention and branding of ObamaGate very clear. He zeroed in on the Criminal-in-Chief. Obama will be stripped of his Presidency and charged with Treason. His underlings already have all pointed the finger at him.

Nothing is coincidence. Nothing is by accident. Everything is planned. The Russia Hoax fizzled, and then the Corona virus nonsense starts. The Corona virus nonsense fizzled, and now this nonsense starts.

President Trump is not stupid, he knows exactly what’s up. He knows that the Manchurian President and China are orchestrating all of this. From the commie congressman and commie gov mafia to the commie virus to the commie terrorist groups to the commie propaganda outlets to the commie mayors.

    • K-Dog June 1, 2020 at 11:10 am #

Pull it together. The idea that the incident itself was staged is bat-shit crazy. The idea that events afterward have been staged, not so much. Putting out what you did makes you look like a troll. I’m not saying you are but it make you look like it. Staging in an atmosphere where plausible deniability must always be maintained means you really can’t plant people and events like a farmer does. Instead the wiles of a hunter must be employed. Events already in the works are identified and encouraged through subtle and not so subtle means. Events are found in the wild and cultivated. For plausible deniability to be guaranteed as it must, events must come from the wild and only be encouraged. If brick throwers don’t know they are throwing bricks for you because you planted a pallet of bricks at the right time and place you don’t have to pay them. And you never get caught. Electrons leave no traces.

Yes, if he looks into the Antis, I bet he’ll fine some very interesting financial and political connections that lead right to the people who are tormenting him. Thus his bond with the average conservative American is strengthened – and even liberals aren’t going to support the cities being burned down.

Meanwhile China is glibly asking why we aren’t supporting our protesters as we suggested they support theirs.

“Ugly as the ANTIFA movement is, it’s exactly what you get when young people realize their future has been stolen from them. ”
No, that isn’t what you get, as the book “Ordinary Men” makes clear.
When malevolence is afoot, about 10% of men delight in it, and actively promote it, 80% go along with the crowd, and 10% stand up and say “No”.

    • K-Dog June 1, 2020 at 11:25 am #

10% stand up and say “No” is too generous. And it takes life experience to join that ?% whatever it is. Go with 2%.

Most people who view CFN (this place) only read. The number of people interested in leaving comment is always very small. Life is indeed a speculator sport for most. The number of people who leave comments on one off blogs like mine is almost zip. That is the way it is.

Talking in front of crowds, being in the limelight. It gives some people stage fright. When I was younger I had it too. That is how people are and the natural thing is to lurk in crowds. But I must have had an aneurysm or something because one day I realized that everyone else was just like me and I should not be afraid of putting myself ‘out there’. With me and others it takes time to learn that putting yourself ‘out there’ is the better life. I changed.

You said ‘it’s exactly what you get when young people’ and I agree. The younger the crowd the fewer are those who can lead.

      • sauerkraut June 1, 2020 at 11:51 am #

I don’t care about the blue hives, and if there was right wing provocation it was for the left to fight the left in the blue hives.

If there is any take away from this is that the conservatives are starting to weary of trying to save the cities from the barbarians. Literally I can go thru right wing twitter highlighting right wingers of all sorts kind of giggly at seeing Nike stores vandalized and ruined.

A black man murdered by police after a black man bird watching was threatened with police after a black man jogging was shot down by wannabe police. During a plandemic in a voting year on a planet that is literally dying, where a rocket was shot into space with the explicit goal of escaping.

    To Mars.

Young people broke, out of work, in heaps of debt, looking for a tribe.
They’re anti whatever this is. They believe it is fascist. So they’re anti fascist. At least it lets them do hateful violent acts without being considered a bad person, an oppressor.

Floyd Ferdinand serves a purpose. A spark to set a corrupt and runaway plutocracy afire in a place where the disenfranchised are no longer determined by color alone. Where people realize that the only people who have a voice are the wealthy and powerful that control the 2 gangs sharing power.

A place where the only barrier to the elite is a thin blue line drawn from the same working class schlubs… most of whom are waking up to this sad fact.

    What are they protecting?

A place not worth caring about.

This country hasn’t been exceptional in decades unless we’re talking about cognitive dissonance and hypocrisy. We’ve supported torture, tin-pot dictators, environmental pillage, economic inequality, and human rights violations for at least as long as I’ve been alive. All the while we lecture other countries on their behavior.

The tableau of Officer Chauvin’s knee on Mr. Floyd’s neck was readymade for statuary. Indeed, there are probably dozens of statues extant in the world of just such a scene expressing one people’s oppression over another.

One assumes you’re familiar with this article, JHK? https://www.trtworld.com/magazine/the-knee-on-neck-long-a-staple-of-israel-s-occupation-of-palestine-36787

“In the aftermath of Floyd’s killing, Palestinians were quick to draw parallels between the final images of the man suffering under the knee of the officer, and similar choke holds used by Israel occupation forces.

“Crazy how the same thing happens in Palestine but the world chooses to ignore it,” Palestinian athlete Mohammad Alqadi wrote on his Twitter above four separate images of Israeli soldiers pinning Palestinians to the ground with their knees on their necks or head.”

While it has been intimated that the violence in Mpls/St. Paul was entirely due to the agitation of imported bad actors, only five of the arrested were from out of town. I think we own this, and many of the faces of those involved are not, as mentioned, black. The night they burned down AutoZone, there were reports and film of a white man in a respirator mask and a hoody breaking windows in the building with a pipe, that turned up on the internet. It was accompanied by civilian pleas regarding his identity. A photo of a police office who looks suspiciously like the window breaker has hit the internet. I was surprised to find that our minds can identify a face with so little of it visible. The police department deny that he is the concealed man in the picture. We’ve got the army here now. I’m waiting to see if what we have is just a mob or the beginnings of an insurgency.

    • Janos Skorenzy June 1, 2020 at 1:45 pm #

Yes, and pallets of bricks have been left on street corners and hidden accelerants for staring fires that the protesters seem able to find.

None of this excuses the Blacks who are past masters at looting and violence. But obviously more is going on beyond them and the White thugs.

      • DrTomSchmidt June 1, 2020 at 3:28 pm #

Black looting makes sense, Janos. The white AntiFa, by contrast, want to spur the revolution. They’re breaking things for ideals, not profit which is both more admirable and more detestable. To live for ideals that involve violence…

The pallets of bricks are fascinating. There must be video of placement and timing.

        • Janos Skorenzy June 1, 2020 at 3:39 pm #

How does it makes sense? Because they’re poor? Lots of poor Whites too. That’s apart from what the consequences are – like stores pulling out of their neighborhoods. So it doesn’t make sense in that way at all.

          • DrTomSchmidt June 2, 2020 at 12:09 am #

They’re entrepreneurs of theft and crime who will personally profit. And in NYC, they’re not looting black neighborhoods, but
            SoHo and midtown.

By contrast, the Antifa will not personally profit. If those useful idiots think they’ll get a share of the power if their revolution goes through, well, I’d like to live through the revolution to see what happens. They’ll be discarded like all the muscle, like the SA in Germany.

        • draupnir June 1, 2020 at 6:01 pm #

  23. SW June 1, 2020 at 11:15 am #

A peaceful protest can turn violent when everyone marching is primed for the worst and sure enough — a lit match hits dry kindling. By the second night, all the people not wanting to engage in violence are home with the doors locked but the ones who do are there with the opportunists looking to loot. There was a man on the news last night from Houston who drove to Minneapolis to “support the protestors” — I guess peaceful protests in Houston weren’t scheduled — so there’s some truth to outside agitators joining in. The nation’s in an ugly mood after our 10 week house arrest with no parole in sight.

Bad decisions, inflated egos, unethical financial transactions with no consequences (Wall Street bailout), predatory health care, pathetic public school system, unaffordable safe housing — well, everyone knows the list. So here we are facing the long, hot summer and plenty of people won’t be able to afford air-conditioning.

  24. Jigplate June 1, 2020 at 11:31 am #

The cities are finished. When I retired 2 years ago, I moved to the suburbs of Raleigh, and took up a second career in the software industry. My company was paying $11,000 per month rent in a hip section of downtown that was undergoing an office building boom. Since Covid, they figured out that we could all work from home, and the Internet didnt melt down, so now we’re never going back. To top it off, I watched looting on TV 50 yards away from a line of cops that just watched them. This was all just blocks away from our old office. If a small software company can figure this out , so can everyone else. You’d have to be nuts to want to start a business in any city with a significant population of the “underserved”

California enacted a theft law of hands off till it hits $900.
My question at the time was is that per theft attempt or total?
Can we go in a store five times in one day and steal $500 a pop?
You can’t make this stuff up.
My local Vons had 1 million in booze walk out the door in six months.
I told them to pay me $50 an hour and their booze loss goes to zero.

          • SW June 2, 2020 at 2:16 pm #

I wonder — does this include sale items or is it based on the original price? Should a security guard follow them around with a calculator and when it hits $899 warn them they’re at their limit? If they accidentally stole a defective item is it deduced from the total? Or can they return it for store credit?

How did it get to this point? It’s as if no one can think clearly. Marx said history repeats itself, first as tragedy then as farce but I think we’ve got it reversed.

The chiefs of police and mayors in most of these big cities are black. Yet it is white racism being blamed for the “incidents”. Where’s the local leadership? It is still about transferring blame and responsibility to whites. The ugly truth is a healthy number of blacks are untrainable and uneducable. There’s no place for them and never going to be. And all the whites rioting and demonstrating along are hated and despised by the blacks they are supporting. Embracing the gangsta culture is dead end. No sense, no justice.

And this morning we have new video of a cop using his knee on another guy’s neck (this time in Seattle) and video of a cop pushing a peaceful protester into the gutter and hitting her head on the curb. This country is going down. There is a scowling cop idling in my grocery store’s parking lot again this morning, at the entrance to the store. The cops are going to lose it at some point and bullets are going to fly.

    • K-Dog June 1, 2020 at 12:45 pm #

Was that before or after our 5pm curfew? The first night we had as many arrests as Atlanta did, 70. When that many people are arrested you know serious shit is going down. Seattle always gets black-block action don’t forget. The show always has to look good. Some of the rocks being thrown could kill people.

    • Janos Skorenzy June 1, 2020 at 1:54 pm #

Well America is done if every cop who injures a violent protester gets fired – and she was violent and attacked him first. And of course they are going to start shooting at some point, them or the National Guard. That’s how it’s done. That’s how they put an end to the rioting in the 60’s – that and all kinds of special benefits for Blacks.

We can’t afford any more of the latter though.

  29. Cavepainter June 1, 2020 at 12:14 pm #

Oh please; so much of what is happening in the streets is due to history as a scholarly undertaking having been reduced to sound bites of demogoguery. Yeah, sure, dysfunction among Blacks (Negros) is due to slavery — of course not due to personal failure to take advantage of free puplic education and libraries. Yes, yes, oppression by “White” society has prevented all Blacks since Martin Luther King from ending up PhDs.

The protests in Raleigh and SLC started out peacefully until the bullies with badges showed up in their riot gear. The cities like Flint and Santa Cruz where the police acknowledged the grievances of the population and marched *with* the protesters haven’t seen violence.

I wonder why that might be?

  31. K-Dog June 1, 2020 at 12:22 pm #

A man with his knee on another man’s neck. Didn’t that say it all?

Yes it does. As far as it goes. Derek Chauvin is toast as he should be but I’m not seeing why George Floyd was put on the ground in the first place. The video does not show us that.

The video shows Chauvin kneeling on the neck of another man which no real man would ever do.

Something is wrong with Chauvin for sure. Maybe he has a brain tumor. There is a code about these things. Kneeling on a mans neck? Dude that is fucked up. Everybody knows fucking with a neck is bad. The fear is death or paralysis.

I distinctly recall being in Jr high school and a gym teacher was talking about never ever choking somebody and what he would do to someone he caught doing it. It is against rules.

The school gym where I was told this is 20 miles north of 38th street and Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis. The Jr. high school is still there. I hated wrestling. Chauvin knew that putting a knee on someones’ neck is something you don’t do. The only reason would to briefly subdue in a struggle so a suspect could be cuffed and we can clearly see that is not what is going on.

Why Chauvin did it we don’t know and the video can’t tell us that.

Was it racism. I know what racism is. Other things can look like racism. There is more than one kind of evil. Racism is only one kind.

    • Nightowl June 1, 2020 at 12:31 pm #

        • Nightowl June 1, 2020 at 1:29 pm #

That is the point. Rather than bleat about generalized racism, it would make more sense to investigate why this might potentially be a personal beef.

There is also a video of the cops (including the ones who stood by) beating GF in the back of a cruiser. There would appear to be plenty we are not being told.

Four guys wailing on a guy in the back seat? Something’s not right. How can you get a decent swing on a guy in a back seat? I’m right-handed so I’d have to do it from the passenger side to be effective at all and even then the car door would get in the way. And that is with only one guy trying to get through a door at a time.

I have been around here for a long time. It is my way to understand things pretty well before take a firm stand on anything. It is important to me to be open and flexible..

This situation has more unanswered questions than a Sherlock Holmes mystery. The video, all of it except for the clear case of excessive force raises more questions than it answers To think this is all about racism is jumping to a premature conclusion, but if you want to smash and grab or get Americans back to work then who gives a flying fuck about unanswered questions.

I take racism far too seriously to be cavalier and throw the label around as indiscriminately as it has.

          • K-Dog June 3, 2020 at 3:16 pm #

I mention I’ve been around here long because those of you who have also been around a long time can see my reaction fits with what K-Dog would think. I want this situation looked at from all sides before I pass judgement on it. Looking at my own reaction from the outside in I’m good with it. I want to know what the fuck happened and why. I’m not jumping to conclusions.

        that part is mine.

    • amb June 1, 2020 at 1:40 pm #

Correct. As always, we don’t have the full data, the complete story.

Does Floyd have a criminal history? Was he in the middle of committing a crime? Was he resisting arrest? Did he have a weapon? Did he attack a law enforcement officer? Was he on drugs or alcohol? Was he near impossible to subdue? Etc. etc? All of these are possibilities.

Was the police officer a cruel sociopath? Did he have a personal grudge or vendetta against Floyd? Was the officer on drugs? Etc? All of these are possibilities too.

We need to know the true results of the autopsy. The full and true facts that relate to this incident. That is the challenge. Will we ever obtain them?

      • Majella June 1, 2020 at 8:29 pm #

There are two autopsies – the official one – “no evidence of choking”, and the private one undertaken for the family “evidence of choking (broken hyoid bone)”.

        Pick your facts.

    • Janos Skorenzy June 1, 2020 at 2:01 pm #

Yes, try this at home. Lie on your stomach with your hands clasped behind your back. See if you can get up. Not so easy. George Floyd was subdued, his hands cuffed behind his back. All they needed to do was keep a foot or knee on his back and he wasn’t going to be going anywhere.

    • BackRowHeckler June 1, 2020 at 2:49 pm #

Chauvin is gonna walk, and collect his pension. Either the charges will be dropped, or there will be an acquittal.

      The case is weak.

His police union is cuing up the best defense lawyer in the State of Minnesota.

Big city police officers and their unions across the country are taking note of the Chauvin case, on how police are treated when something goes wrong in making an arrest. The result “Why stick my neck out? Best to look the other way. My watch captain, my chief, and the mayor do not have my back. In fact, the mayor has more sympathy for the criminals I am trying to arrest, that’s how he got elected. I am on my own out here.” That seems to be how it shakes out.

I believe that this is an approved tactic in the Minneapolis PD and others. Officers are trained in its proper use.

Officer Chauvin’s problem is that he continued as Mr. Floyd was in extremis.

Excellent article James. Your books are ready to open up, but I fear your play is just around the month. My app on my phone, Nextdoor lit up Saturday night in my small city in the finger lake region of NYS.

Shelter in place, curfew declared, state of emergency declared, then my work place sent out a warning shelter in place, state of emergency, wow, shock for my neighbors, and co workers freaking out. On TV it does not seem real, until it comes home. Over 40 business hit in my city, and burb, videos of husband and wife shopkeepers fighting looters.
It’s outside forces they say causing the problems, but in every single city and town? Oh well, back to the garden.

    • K-Dog June 1, 2020 at 1:49 pm #

On TV it does not seem real, until it comes home.

Yes, Looters hit only 6 miles away from us. Which is worth a mention for another reason. 4 malls hit in the same day. I did not know organized crime could organize that fast and I’m still not sure they can. The garden is a good place to be. I will get to mine.

    • SW June 1, 2020 at 9:08 pm #

In every single city and town there’s a criminal element and an opportunistic one that see a chance to loot without consequences. If these were people who wanted to protest police brutality they’d be demonstrating in broad daylight and not wait until nightfall to create mayhem. They may say they’re out on the street for social justice (and probably some really are) but the people burning and robbing are using it for cover.

Remember the flash crowds a couple of years ago that would show up individually at a mall, then ban together and hit, overwhelm and loot a store? There were too many for the police to arrest and it’s the same type of thing here.

Thanks for this post. Jim. I don’t post much because usually by the time I have a chance to comment, others have already posted what I wanted to say.

The people oppressing minorities are the same people who will oppress everyone else. Yes, it’s a racial issue but it’s also an economic one. Those in power will happily exploit people and the environment to make an extra dollar. They’ve been practicing this behavior for years; Africa, South and Central America, the Middle East, Asia, Eastern Europe have all been leading up to this. Few people in this country complained when brutality was visited upon brown people “over there” but now it’s come home to North America and they don’t care what color you are.

This is a feature of capitalism, not a bug, and like George Carlin said, it’s an exclusive club, and you ain’t in it.

Have you or your friends ever been given a free pass for a felony? I doubt it.

Why do I ask? Because, incredibly, one in three adult black males in the United States has a felony conviction.

And before you tell me that people can get a felony conviction over something minor, here are the top twenty reasons for felony arrests in the USA.

          Drug abuse violations
Property crimes – these include auto theft, burglary, larceny, arson, and theft
          Driving under the influence (DUI
Property crimes – such as theft
          Disorderly conduct
A violation of liquor laws – such as sales to minors
Violent crime – such as manslaughter, murder, robbery, assault, and forcible rape
          Public drunkenness
          Aggravated assault
Weapons violations – such as carrying a concealed weapon or possessing a gun without proper licensure
Violation of curfew and loitering laws
          Domestic violence and child abuse
          Stolen property violations
          Motor vehicle theft
          Forgery and counterfeiting

Have you or your friends ever been given a free pass for carjacking or kidnapping or sexual asault?

Could we please correct this to:

“cops have given my friends and ME a free pass…”

WOuld you seriously say or write “cops have given I a free pass…” ?????

Well, maybe you would in which case drive on.

If you have any grammatical sense at all you would say
            “ME” in this case.

If the subject — as in
“My friends and I got some ammo and shot at those blue MFers” and watched their cracker asses scatter…” then you have my blessing.

Human brutality is a feature of lower human nature. Capitalism and Communism specialize in it. Both ganged up to destroy Fascism and National Socialism. The latter two are not pacifist by any means, but they were on the defensive against the former.

And lastly, Capitalists and Bankers funded the Communist revolution. Explain that. I’ve already figured it out. Now it’s your turn to try.

  34. My Point of View June 1, 2020 at 1:26 pm #

“…when they are idle and broke and see fabulous wealth all around them in the banks’ glass skyscrapers…”

As a nation, we’ve BTDT before, as told in an old Pete Seeger song:

    I’ve traveled round this country
    From shore to shining shore.
    It really made me wonder
The things I heard and saw.

    I saw the weary farmer,
    Plowing sod and loam;
    I heard the auction hammer
    A knocking down his home.

But the banks are made of marble,
With a guard at every door,
And the vaults are stuffed with silver,
    That the farmer sweated for.

    I saw the seaman standing
    Idly by the shore.
    I heard the bosses saying,
Got no work for you no more.

But the banks are made of marble,
With a guard at every door,
And the vaults are stuffed with silver,
    That the seaman sweated for.

    I saw the weary miner,
Scrubbing coal dust from his back,
    I heard his children cryin’,
Got no coal to heat the shack.

But the banks are made of marble,
With a guard at every door,
And the vaults are stuffed with silver,
    That the miner sweated for.

    I’ve seen my brothers working
    Throughout this mighty land;
    I prayed we’d get together,
    And together make a stand.

Then we’d own those banks of marble,
    With a guard at every door;
And we’d share those vaults of silver,
    That we have sweated for.

For a healthy society to function, it must be based upon a sound foundation. Certain segments within society are deemed to have “special powers” the group at large does not possess in order to fulfill some important necessary functions purportedly intended to benefit “everybody”.

There are three necessary ingredients for this arrangement to work. First, the specially vested groups must perform its duties rightfully and in good faith. Secondly, the population at large (“the many”) participates in good faith in response thus making this relationship work and contract effective. And the third? The glue that makes it all work is TRUST. All parties must trust the other to keep the vows sealed by good will and proper intent and execution of responsibilities on all sides.

When any participant fails to act in good faith, the overall contract is broken and severed and the responsibilities of all thus become void. The fundamental understanding that created the overall relationship has been destroyed and all promises are off.

When government fails to serve the people… when one major political party works exclusively to serve the privileged and the other political party who used to serve the working class sells them out to serve the rich and powerful… when corporations move jobs and entire industries out of America in search of slave wages resulting in vast economic devastation… when an over-hyped virus is used to be a wrecking ball for what remained of an American economy… when “public servants” abuse their position all the way from calling in sick when they are not or not working hard to taking a member of the public’s life… when education trades preparing young people with useful skills and helping to develop thinking for pushing indoctrination and empty conformity… when churches become little more than social and business clubs rather than being spiritual beacons to the world… when parents cede responsibility of raising children to babysitter teachers and noxious videos on the internet and peer pressure of feral young people… when hospitals become cash cows instead of places to heal the sick… when people stop acting as responsible humans and revert back to the worst kind of animal behaviors… all of these behaviors and more obliterate the basic trust and social contract that any healthy functioning society must have.

For a long time now in America, we’ve had a “pretend” social order. It looks like civilized “order” but it’s not. It’s a pretend world void of substance. Real basic trust is long gone. The Contract is void. We were once told, “The American Way of life is not negotiable?” Really? The American Way of Life died a long time ago. Since then, we’ve all been dead men and women walking. And the bill is coming due without any sound real money to pay it.

What remains is the heavy-handed wielding of power from above without hindrance or regard for its true purpose or rightful intention, and the law of the jungle bubbling up from beneath from those who have been used and abused for generations. It is a toxic stew a long time in the brewing. It is sad beyond measure, and a pathetic waste of our time and lives and potentials.

A barrel of rotten apples does not suddenly turn good again. We’ve entered into a New Contract of bitter fruits and broken dreams… the foundation of our New Social “Order”.

There is a curfew in but I guess that does not matter, The way I see it is this:
      Go inside
      *stands there filming
      Get inside now
      *stands there filming
      get in the house now
      *stands there filming
Go inside – alright light em up
      *goes inside, starts crying

      That about sum that up?

That’s the big difference between now and the 60s riots; every dooshbag and his brother is holding up his camera filming the destruction while he participates in the destruction.

Please explain the ‘threat’ that citizens, standing on their own porch, present to a squad of heavily armoured (and probably armed) policemen such that they would feel it necessary to ‘light ’em up’?

Maybe not a threat Maj, but definitely a group that can’t follow basic instructions and are in violation of the curfew being enforced due to violence and destruction. Why didn’t they just go in the house is my question? It’s not like they weren’t warned.

I was of the misguided belief that a curfew requires one to stay on your own property and not venture outside of it, that is, into the streets. How is standing on ones own porch violating curfew, SEF?

It is a weak statement, IMO.

As JHK mentioned, better to have a society in which all members strive to participate for a common definition of what a member of said society is. In this case, an American.

If you take the racial approach, in an all-white, -black, -asian, etc., society, the populace will simply divide themselves up by other means. Happens in every group.

Like lord of the fuckin’ flies.

      • Janos Skorenzy June 1, 2020 at 7:31 pm #

The races differ in ability and temperment and of course from that, culture. Beyond that, the subgroups of each race have their own historical traditions via Tribe and Nation. Now you think your Capitalism is going to trump all that? Like you thought it would bring Liberal Democracy to China, right?

Moreover, the maintenance, elevation, and love of one’s own culture is a basic human need and right.”

It looks like people who own small businesses in urban and semi urban neighborhoods — package stores, card shops, liquor markets, clothing boutiques, small groceries, mom and pop places — are being hammered the hardest. When I say hammered some of them are actually being beaten down with clubs, 2x4s and rocks. You have to feel for them. For some of these people their whole lives and most of their wealth is poured into their business. To see it smashed, looted, set on fire … I ‘ve read some of these businesses were about to reopen after being closed 2 months ago because of Covid. Like JHK says, life is often tragic. 140 American cities with business districts gutted, who would invest any money or start a business in these places ever again?

Yes, this has been a huge global victory for the anti whites.

Trump said that the governors should ‘dominate’. He’s right, because ultimately this is what it comes down to in the long run. The word dominate conjures up the idea of slavery however, so its use here seems questionable and is incendiary. But mayors and governors have failed us here.

Trump must dominate. Soon there will be pictures of him peering through the slits of a bunker, eyes shifting warily from left to right. And we all know who else took up residence in a bunker not too long ago. The media will love it.

Trump must dominate. Mean what you say. “When the looting starts, the shooting starts.” Declare martial law and cancel the election. When the president himself has to hunker down and bunker down, it’s absolutely the time to face the harsh realities that confront us. But the eggshells will probably continue to be walked upon, cracking them more and more ’till the yolks on us.

I think maybe that we have arrived at the peak in oil production. American shale is dissapearing at 500,000 bpd per month. We will likely go from 13 mbpd down to 8.5 mbpd by the end of the year. It’s already down from 13 (actually 12.7 the monthly #’s are bettter) down to 11.4 mbpd in 3 months. By the end of 2021 it’ll be down arround 5 mbpd. Plus add in half of the NGL’s so from 5 mbpd down to 2.5 mbpd. Instead of working at homme because oil scarcitty, it’s because of COVID 19. But when we crack that nut, oil demand will come roaring back and then the fun starts. Basically the worst parts of the Bible. The Long Emergency is finally here? Could be. Some will argue that there’s never been so much and that’s true. But maybe that’s what it looks like at the peak.

Ok, I’m asking. Let’s hear your defense of Chauvin and the Knee on the Neck for eight minutes or so.

        • elysianfield June 1, 2020 at 10:30 pm #

          Consider a scenario;

You are chasing a stolen vehicle. The suspect turns into a residential street, guns the motor, and jumps out, allowing the vehicle to crash into several vehicles, causing much noise and damage. You and your partner bail out and chase the suspect…catching him several hundred yards from the scene. In the mean time, a crowd forms…all black, irate due to the damage and the optics of a white police officer arresting a black man. The man is cuffed on the ground, but, being wise in the ways of the street, begins calling to the crowd to incite them to help him…denying culpability, etc. The crowd closes in, demanding justice, etc. for the man on the ground, many yelling insults and demands… partner is still 100 yards away from the arrest, trying to get the patrol car into position to secure the prisoner and leave the volatile scene.

You will use whatever means at hand to shut him up…while watching the crowd…hence the knee to the jaw or the neck. The crowd is restless, several “youths” strutting and posturing, shucking and jiving, working up the courage to do…something.

This incident is not unusual. Hardly even noteworthy.

          Sausage being made.

          • elysianfield June 1, 2020 at 10:33 pm #

Oh…and it is not a defense of Chauvin…I have no idea what his motivation or state of mind was. One thing is certain, in that a 19 year veteran of the force is not stupid nor insane enough to kill someone on the street under the circumstances…obviously he fucked up and will ride the lightnin’ as a result.

Choke holds sometimes kill suspects. I used them dozens and dozens of times…zero confirmed kills.

          • Janos Skorenzy June 1, 2020 at 11:52 pm #

But it didn’t shut him up. And I assume it’s dangerous if held as long as Chauvin held it – even after he did shut up. A guy with a very thick neck might be able to take it, but those types are few. Floyd was a powerful man but he wasn’t the “no neck” type either.

You did this too? What was the longest you ever kept someone like that?

          • elysianfield June 2, 2020 at 10:08 am #

“You did this too? What was the longest you ever kept someone like that?”

No longer than a minute or two. The neck is not the preferred placement of the knee…the jaw is.

Restraining struggling humans is an ugly business in less than controllable environments…the more powerful the suspect, the more strident his response, the more violent the techniques.

      • tucsonspur June 1, 2020 at 7:44 pm #

Andrew Fraser: “White identity” is a flat negative identity

          • thwack June 2, 2020 at 10:16 am #

If you can find the youtube video of professor Tom Sunic interviewing Professor Andrew Fraser on his book “The WASP question; thats really the best discussion, because Fraser argues against “white” identity because of the way it has stripped Europeans in the West of their stronger ethnic identities, and replaced it with a vague/obtuse set of civic standards, constantly mutating into weaker and weaker forms.

Meanwhile, Sunic, a Croat, supports “white” as an identity because he saw how destructive it is when individual white cling to their ethnic groups; like in Yugoslavia.

At one point they ALMOST start argueing.

          • Janos Skorenzy June 2, 2020 at 12:44 pm #

Race is everything to Thwack yet he wants us to lose our racial consciousness – so as to make us defenseless. We are White Americans. We have a race and and a nationality – a great river comprised of many tributary European ethnic groups flowing into it.

The alien comes to mock, besmirch, defile, and destroy.

          • Karah June 2, 2020 at 3:36 pm #

I identify on EEOC forms as “White” because that is the closest to my ethnicity in the list (genetically I am 10% Native American, 67% British/Welsh area and tiny bit Central American which is Latino/Hispanic depending on your particular country).

I searched for you Sunic conversation/debate on Google and got a dead website: reasonradionetwork.com

            linked on: https://www.facebook.com/Arktos/posts/tom-sunic-interviews-andrew-fraser-about-our-book-the-wasp-question-at-vor-httpr/268134026591424/

However, I did find a youtube discussion saved by someone called Last Void: https://youtu.be/EydaAs9XW-A

            about interpretations of Culture.

We are dealing with racial prejudice and white supremacy. It is assumed by most african americans that ALL authoritarian whites are practicing supremacists or instructed by supremacist doctrines. The dominant culture when it comes to authority in the USA is Anglo. This has not changed since the emancipation of slaves and the erasure of Jim Crow Laws in the South. The South is seething from an identity crisis fostered by organized religion and counter culture (Rastafaran, Muslim, Tribal). This identity crisis is shared by the Latino immigrant populations who struggle to assimilate to the institutional culture of the USA which values literacy and public education (Catholic vs. Protestant). Most Latinos were asked to work and not read so much growing up. The Europeans struggled to advance themselves beyond the Feudal states of Western/Eastern Europe. It is not racial supremacy to say you are equal to a Feudal Lord’s progeny. However, we have developed our own dynasties reflected in the Kennedy clan, Bushes, Roosevelts.

        • Kim June 1, 2020 at 9:36 pm #

Charging him wit murder is a way to get him off. It is a strategem. It is deliberate over-charging.

Well he can’t be found guilty of murder unless they show intent. But how will they do that? Impossiblle. Especially as the autopsy has supposedly shown that the fellow died of a heart attack or similar.

So they will never get him on murder and they know it.

Even in the 2017 Minneapolis Justine Damond case where black officer Mohammed Noor inexplicably simply shot Damond for no observable reason, Noor was not charged with murder one.

          From wikipedia:

“Noor was ultimately arrested and charged with second-degree manslaughter and third-degree murder…convicted of third-degree murder and manslaughter, but acquitted of intentional second-degree murder. ” (Got 12.5 years)

So the point is, Noor just pulled out his gun and shot her dead for no reason. But they still couldn’t pin intent on him.

          • thwack June 1, 2020 at 10:16 pm #

“Well he can’t be found guilty of murder unless they show intent. But how will they do that?”

If they have body cam footage of officer Lane telling Chauvin, “I can’t find a pulse, maybe we should sit him up?” And Chauvin responding, “no, we keep him like this”; that could be evidence of intent to murder.

at the very least it shows reckless disregard.

Also, it appears this guy just spontaneously generated from some sawdust, dirty clothes beer cans at the foot of his bed; because his parents and any possible siblings are nowhere to be found?

          • Kim June 2, 2020 at 12:26 am #

            @ thwack

The autopsy also showed that he was on fentanyl when he died. Slower heartbeat. Suppression of breathing. That is not the cop’s fault.

Again, the point is, everyone who is screaming for a murder conviction is barking up the wrong tree.

If they couldn’t get Noor murder in the Justine Damond killing, they can’t get this guy Chauvin (?)

Or this one: (again cop on white)

The cop lied that she’d warned the guy. He was unarmed. She was in her car. He was outside the car. She shot him through the windscreen for godsake. Police and court would not release video.

Or this one: (again cop on white. White was armed with “a large spoon”.)

We can go on all day like this. What does it show? First, that getting a homicide conviction for a police shooting is unlikely. Second, that not just blacks get shot by police in disturbng circs.

This is especially noteworthy as far more whites than blacks are killed by shooting each year by police.

“ok, so if you want to be a murderer, you should join a police department?”

Some people, undoubtedly, join the force to use it.

My first choice, however, if I wanted to be a murderer, would be to join a black gang in Chicago.

He has already been thrown under the bus by “competent authority” all the way up to the Attorney General of the State…It will show real heroism for anyone to buck the trend.

He better have a damned good reason or excuse…if plausible, the Union will back him.

I have no idea what happened there.

“Blue Flu” has been done (not by me)…it is the result of an unsupportive administration. Guys talk it up in the locker room…hard to do, however, if you respect the job description.

Trump calls the Governors, “Weak” and tells them to “Dominate”. Trump is the now “Nixon” and he is a shoe in for his next term.

Some Whites will think even less of Blacks, but the official narrative is already moving to protect them by putting it all on the Whites. Thus the demented Narrative is maintained. All this has happened before, and all this will happen again.

Powerful essay again today JHK. However I have problems with these statements:

What is changing — and suddenly — is that now it’s not just black people who struggle to thrive in the USA, but everybody else of any ethnic group who is not a hedge fund veep, an employee of BlackRock Financial, or a K-Street lobbyist — and even those privileged characters may find themselves in reduced circumstances before long.

[ … ] when they are idle and broke and see fabulous wealth all around them in the banks’ glass skyscrapers, and the car showrooms, and the pageants of celebrity fame and fortune on the boob tube.

There must still be millions and millions of middle-class Americans who are doing okay – still pulling their salaries, paying mortgages, helping their kids through college, getting careers, being involved in family and household formation, looking forward to their next skiing holiday.

Something must keep the big hardware, home furnishing, glamour clothing, and luxury car businesses ticking along …

” “The video shows Chauvin kneeling on the neck of another man which no real man would ever do. ”

Well, I did, many times. There is a time and a place where it is necessary. I could explain it to you if you ask, but I think you would rather hold closely your beliefs gained from the TeeVee and magazines. Warm and fuzzy is the best way to understand how sausage is made. “”

Well …. when it comes to , ” the peoples right to know ” , as it regards , for example , the CIA ,

my sympathies are entirely with Wikileaks and Edward Snowden.

    — Note , that is despite the fact that I do NOT think Julian Assange and Edward Snowden are simon pure angels.

Like , how does an unemployed Edward Snowden afford anything but a cardboard shack in high – rent Moscow ?

But then it is my contention that the CIA should be abolished. I don’t think that is at all a radical or impractical idea.

I think history has consistently shown that spies , state secrets , and secret police always prove eventually to be a mortal threat to their own host state , while scarcely any meaningful threat to an external enemy.

As for that other part of criminal justice ; bank robbers , serial killers , traffic control , evicting dead beat renters , and all that sort of thing ,

I really take a dim view of , ” the peoples right to know ” .

If one of the people really wants and needs to know , they can go sit in court for a dozen or a hundred really boring and disillusioning hours.

80 to 90% of this sort of thing is not anything any third party really needs to know.

Much of it is in the category of a little , or partial , knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Much of it can’t possibly help you in any way , and may in some ways hurt you , or at least be a drag on you.

Like , 98% of the population will never meet a serial killer alone in a dark alley. Or , even if they do , half of them will actually survive the encounter no worse for wear anyway , and otherwise it is one day or one hour out of ten thousand hours in which it is scarcely relevant.

Learning all there is to know about a serial killer is not to learn much , and it may give you a quite negative view of a mankind , I suspect at least 85% of whom , would not like to take up murder as a hobby anyway ,

and at least 10 % of those who think they would like to , are actually full of shit , and would have no idea of what they are actually getting in to.

The vast majority of all this crime reporting is really entertainment .

If pornography is bad , then it is certainly every bit as bad.

And that it has decidedly negative effects , certainly carries more water than the idea that video games fuck people up in the head.

Did a nickel in the slams, then got in a dead mess of a jam.

Floyd was charged in 2007 with armed robbery in a home invasion in Houston and in 2009 was sentenced to five years in prison as part of a plea deal, according to court documents.

Harris, Floyd’s childhood friend, said he and some of their mutual friends had moved to Minneapolis in search of jobs around 2014. Harris said he talked Floyd into moving there as well after he got out of prison.

“He was looking to start over fresh, a new beginning,” Harris said. “He was happy with the change he was making.”
Floyd landed a job working security at a Salvation Army store in downtown Minneapolis. He later started working two jobs, one driving trucks and another as a bouncer at Conga Latin Bistro, where he was known as “Big Floyd.”

Actually, its pretty common for men to “age out” of violent crime; because unless you can get into management and become a capo or something, its kinda a young mans game.

Its especially true for black males who may need the additional time to figure out how system of racism white supremacy works, and how to find a niche in it for themselves.

Then there is the simple fact that as black males age, the dominant society automatically finds them less threatening; so certain opportunities open up for black males in their 40s that were largely absent in their 20s.

Its been very interesting listening to all the white economists discuss the damage long term unemployment will do to young people during this pandemic.

They don’t even have the option of stringing 3 shitty jobs together to equal the income of one normal job; like I did in my 20s

After skimming through the opinion of the “gentle giant” one finally gets to the fact he was “under the influence” of one maybe two drugs, he was in between jobs due to the coronavirus pandemic and he was known by the defendant as a “bouncer” according to one report and a “security guard” in later reports. His former employer also was his landlord making Floyd more like a debt slave than an employee.

The families hired lawyer and medical examiners threw the damning pieces of evidence out and kept pointing at the smart cam video as proof of cause of death which has swayed the court of public opinion.

The defendant is a trained policeman who was the senior of all the officers present and used a modern, known technique. (Floyd claimed he was Claustrophobic yet he was sitting inside his car with three other people when the police arrived.) The time Floyd was subdued by the defendant has been estimated at over 8 minutes. He was conscience for most of that time and speaking but delusional calling for his mama who had passed away in his hometown of Houston, TX. Floyd was instructed to relax. No doubt he was informed of his criminal charge of passing bad money and no one in his car group could help him…except film the arresting officer. Relaxing would have been impossible for him to do if he was suffering from a meth psychosis or high blood pressure or knowing he would never make bail because of his prior convictions…conveniently ignored by his family and their lawyer.

The paramedics did not declare Floyd dead on arrival. What happened during the ambulance ride and at the hospital has not been released to the public. The full results of the FBI investigation will include a search of his vehicle and his (employer’s) apartment to determine the source of his money and the drugs he was taking or selling. He has a girlfriend who looks Caucasian and might have been shacking up with him and/or providing him money and/or drugs. He may test positive for corona virus since he was working in the service industry, was not practicing social distancing or wearing a mask.

The job of a bouncer puts people in touch with bad crowds, the seedy nightlife and money under the table operations. Who wants a gentle giant as a bouncer? It’s an oxymoron. That suggests he was not there to control people and throw them out but to party and get bribes for access to the party.

The state propaganda says the “state” kills blacks systemically. A bizarre assertion given that it is a numerical fact that the state slaughters many times more whites on an annual basis. And we aren’t even talking about intentional poisoning or death by hopelessness and suicide. The truth is that the state is structured to loot white lives and enterprises and transfer that loot to browns and blacks. The DNC openly embraces this agenda and the RNC not so quietly embraces it. But to be certain. If you are white the entire system is openly set up to devalue your life and ultimately void your future. The only hope for whites who aren’t race traitors in today’s environment is awesome defense. The big cities are gone. Who cares. They are completely controlled by browns, blacks, and foreigners anyway. Let em burn to the ground. Take care of you and yours and quietly pepare so that you and your family and neighbors have a chance of surviving the hell that lies ahead.

    • Karah June 2, 2020 at 3:51 am #

No one can be controlled by another. Each individual within a group controls their bodies despite what others do to them. This goes for people being subdued or oppressed or harassed or bullied…You can make things worse or better for yourself under stress.

Once people give up their will to drugs they become a “public nuisance” as the lawyers suing big pharmaceutical companies had to phrase it to make the issue defined by outcome and not intent. The pain relievers are NOT meant to subdue and keep the populations in line when the result turns out to become a drain on the institutions designed to enforce restraints on activities when people no longer have control of their minds and therefore actions (lack of good judgment). They become screaming infants without their tit.

One thing about the ghetto is you always see people with plenty of cigs and hooch and little else.

I do agree. But I do think some forms of mind and thought control do work and are working on certain sections of the population including whites and blacks. Ultimately an individual does control his or her own actions. But I wonder to what extent that natural process is subverted by indoctrination and mind control. Not to speak of things like chemicals that are put in food to trigger behavioral responses, etc.

If the video is so disturbing that it no doubt shows a cop smothering a suspect while docile and not resisting arrest…then why wasn’t it taken down?

Because all the websites wanted HITS for ad revenue.

The FBI did not take it down because they said it was not proof of murder considering Floyd was under the influence of drugs.
Or because the FBI has become politicized as has been reported extensively by Kunstler in his blog.

So far we are losing the opportunity, no, I think we Have lost it, to never have this happen again.

Do you stop it or not stop it? We chose not to stop it. The Elites want things as they are it seems, constantly simmering. Was it fear of full blown upheaval that prevented the appropriate response?

The Democratic Party is A domestic wing of the liberal globalists, actually socialist, Communistic globalists. If the Democrats win and consolidate successfully this Fall, you can kiss off your USA Constitutional republic. I know Trump is repugnant to many, but the alternative is so terrible, the loss of personal power will be mind boggling.

The liberal slant on everything makes the power of the Liberal elite overwhelming. They have convinced the minions of gimme artists in the country that Trump and the conservatives are horrible. When the power shifts from individual to government control, it will take a war to get it back. If anyone wants liberty back again.

Why wasn’t the government going to clobber the instigators. Because they are Americans. The Liberal majority in the country and their spokesman, the media, would clobber any attempt to put the hammer down on these thugs.

Remember 1968 and Nixon. There was a silent majority present then. Hopefully, the owners of all the small and large businesses that have been hit by these punks will reject the Liberal wave once again.

The other officers were probably canned for the same reason, to protect them (and the office) from any further public scrutiny.

Its obvious the protests are not about what really happened but about how people are perceived in the media: Another black thug with a criminal record working his way out of poverty is taken out by a successful white authority figure who will never be convicted and retire with a big fat pension. What are WIVES supposed to do? Most wives take a vow to stand by their man through sickness and health, through good times and bad. It’s generally considered a lifelong commitment. Does that change according to race?

Acknowledging you are someone’s wife does not mean you agree with everything your husband does or says…it means you live up to what YOU do or say. Wives can not be forced to testify against their husbands.

even though I would never burn and loot over a dead black man; I feel safer, more secure and more relaxed because other people will.

Could be this is a good example of the US’s number one problem.

There is a group of Black folks in the US that want no part of the US culture, They are a lot like an indigestible piece of gristle in the US belly that needs to be puked up and eliminated. The only problem is the PTB cannot find an appropriate toilet.

Indigestible, non joiners in America are the country’s number one problem and responsible for almost everything plaguing the country.

Blacks currently destroying the advances they have made in the last three years, illegal immigrants from everywhere trying to set up mini home countries in the US and Muslims using CAIR to try to move the ME to middle America.

The results are so easy to predict. If there is no commonality to a culture, international competition will destroy that culture.

    Oh yeah, what common culture.

That depends on how you define “U.S culture?”

Does U.S culture = black lives DON”T matter?

Was there ever a time in U.S history when black lives DIDN’T matter?

“It is difficult at this day to realize the state of public opinion in relation to that unfortunate race, which prevailed in the civilized and enlightened portions of the world at the time of the Declaration of Independence, and when the Constitution of the United States was framed and adopted…. They had for more than a century before been regarded as beings of an inferior order…; and so far inferior, that they had no rights which the white man was bound to respect; and that the negro might justly and lawfully be reduced to slavery for his benefit.” — Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, Roger B. Taney 1857

Yeah, the court made us citizens; but they declared us “persons”; so its quite possible that we remain “beings of an inferior order?”

The common culture is predominately European in nature.

The common culture was based on a group of White men trying to make natural law into a form of government.

Minorities were not even thought about, the United States was based on the beliefs of the Founding Fathers and they were colorblind when they cooked up the Constitution. There is no mention of Black exceptions, or Hispanic exceptions or any other group.

        All men are created equal.

That is the rub. The basis of this country is individualism. That means everyone succeeds or fails according to his own abilities. Every European group that immigrated to this country had to fight their way to economic equality, by learning the system and learning to use it to get ahead.

There is that group of Blacks that just plain do not want to do this. They enclave them selves into urban groups, gangs, They demand much from the government in support and not much from themselves. They want to be taken care of and left to their own culture. They want no part of the culture around them. Maybe the guys that wanted to send them to their own homeland were right.

Blacks are 13% of the population, but to listen to their separatist lingo they want to run the place. Never going to happen. There is no solution to this ever with the attitudes present today except physical separation. The FF worked out a way to allow all folks to co-exist. The attitudes make the mission impossible.

The real shame is that this group is being used by outsiders that want the ideals of this country destroyed. Find out who is financing all the discord and put the blame where it belongs.

Our society is being used, all of it.

      • JohnAZ June 2, 2020 at 3:29 pm #

        You are right.

At the time, Blacks were slaves, property and legally treated as such.

The separatist policies following the Civil war, Jim Crow, tried to find a way to take care of a group of people who did not fit and violated the very essence of the country’s founding.

The past 150 years has been an exercise in trying to fit two groups together that the extremists want no part of each other.

We are seeing today if anything took during those years.

        • JohnAZ June 2, 2020 at 3:35 pm #

One more, the Common Culture has changed itself to fit the Black Culture many times, trying to fit this very reluctant group into itself. How many changes have the Black Culture made to itself to assimilate into the grand scheme? Still in isolation, keeping to themselves.

Where is the real spirit of bigotry?

And one rabid cop changes nothing!

      • Karah June 2, 2020 at 4:21 pm #

I was riveted yesterday to an American news channel to behold the leading nation our our culture partly in flames and strife and disorder much on display.

Particularly frightening was a scene in which figures in vaguely human shape were shown to break and enter a temple of our civilization in which — the voice of the presenter took on a solemn air, delivery slowed down — merchandise retailing for tens of thousands of dollars was on display and was about to become the loot of swine entirely unfit to posses and properly venerate the items which were now seen to be carried out through gaping holes in glass.

These items were stuffed puppets in the shape and likeness of a Mickey Mouse about 4 feet high. The voice of the news anchor choked up and silence reigned as these artifacts of our culture disappeared into the darkness leaving behind a cold and empty void.

This event took place in LA. It was not widely noticed but it will later be seen to have been a key turning point. The shapeless enemy of our civilization has now overcome all fear and reaches without hesitation into spheres that are far removed from his usual place of dwelling.

Surely the stuffed, 10000 Dollar, Mickey Mouse cannot be of any practical use to the looters nor can one hope for a sale. This shows that the enemy now has made intellectual progress and understands the importance of the destruction of symbols anchoring our culture.

This does not bode well for any of us!

    • stelmosfire June 2, 2020 at 11:50 am #

LOL what a great image … I wonder where it’s on proud display right this minute? And its new owner is just so cool … he or she didn’t go for the usual trinkets – Rolex or Air Jordons … no, this classy dude went for something that crushed the very spirit and soul of the white man – because he understood! 🙂

Assaulted and Vilified, the Cops Save the Cities
Pat Buchanan, American Renaissance, June 2, 2020

On the fifth night of rioting, looting and arson in Minneapolis, the criminal elements were driven from the streets.

By whom? By the same cops who had been the constant objects of media derision and mob hatred.

Without the thin blue line, far larger sectors of dozens of America’s cities would be in ruins, burned to the ground by the mobs that showered police and their vehicles with rocks, bricks, bottles, Molotov cocktails and any debris that could be thrown at them.

Because they were the first responders in these riots, the cops were the first targets of criminal assault and the last line of defense of the law-abiding.

Wherever they had to draw back or pull back, anarchy ensued.

Consider the decision of Mayor Jacob Frey and Police Chief Medaria Arradondo to surrender and abandon the 3rd Precinct. As police cars pulled out and the cops fled, the exhilarated rabble invaded, pillaged and burned the precinct.

And America saw, in astonishment, a triumph of anarchy.

One wonders what the world thought as it, too, watched.

Now, consider the political coloration of Minneapolis.

Frey, who ordered the surrender, is a far-left Democrat. Gov. Tim Walz is a liberal Democrat, as are both U.S. senators including Amy Klobuchar. Minneapolis Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is a soul sister of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Minnesota was the political home of Vice Presidents Hubert Humphrey and Walter Mondale and Senators Eugene McCarthy and Paul Wellstone, liberal icons all. The state has not voted Republican for president since 1972. Even Ronald Reagan never carried Minnesota.

Yet, of his home state, this citadel of liberalism, Walz said last week, “Systemic racism must be addressed if we are to secure, justice, peace and order for all Minnesotans.”

Query: How does “systemic racism” permeate a blue state dominated for decades by liberal Democrats? What explains the failure of Democrats who have long run Minnesota to root out racism?

Why have liberals failed to exorcise racism where they rule? Are even good Minnesota liberals infected with the virus?

What we witnessed this week in Minneapolis is a failure of liberalism. The leadership of the city and state could not persuade the protesters it claims to represent to remain peaceful. And when rioting, looting and arson erupted, and attacks on police began, that leadership sat morally and politically paralyzed.

The elites could not condemn both the killing of George Floyd and, with equal moral vehemence, the violent and criminal element that came to permeate the ranks of the protesters.

They failed to get sufficient law enforcement or the National Guard into the city on time, or to declare and impose a curfew, or to use requisite force to halt the rioting and looting.

As a result of their incompetence or cowardice, the custodians of the lovely city of Minneapolis let her be gang-raped by a criminal mob.

Why have those leaders not turned in their resignations?

Comparisons have been drawn to the 1960s.

In the summer of 1964, LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act. In 1965, the Voting Right Act was enacted after Selma. Then came one Great Society program after another, as LBJ declared at Howard University, we are moving beyond equality of opportunity to “equality of result” in America.

However, in August 1965, Watts exploded, the worst race riot since Lincoln sent Union troops to put down the New York draft riots of 1863.

Newark and Detroit had uprisings of similar magnitude in 1967.

In April 1968, for days after the assassination of Martin Luther King, U.S. cities were pillaged and burned, Washington, D.C., among them.

LBJ’s Kerner Commission said the cause of the riots that had come out of the black community was actually “white racism.”

Said Richard Nixon speaking for the silent majority: They seem to blame everybody for the riots but the rioters themselves.

Liberals of that era, too, seemed morally disarmed and politically paralyzed when it came to confronting criminal elements that emerged from minority communities and voted Democratic.

Such situations invariably seem to produce in liberals a paralysis where the crimes are attributed to a “few bad apples” hiding among all those “peaceful protesters.”

There is much chatter about “speaking truth to power.”

    What does that mean today?

At the least, the recognition that while the killing of George Floyd was an atrocity that cries out for justice, so, too, does the rampant criminality that exploded in its aftermath.

But because of the failure to condemn that criminality, and the paralysis of Minnesota’s political leadership class, the black community in Minneapolis has lost hundreds of businesses — some forever — that had provided them with the necessities of a decent life.

Liberals may equate the term “law and order” with racism, but without law and order, there is no justice and no peace.

JS: The only thing that is saving America from the Reds is Red America. See how stupid it was to call Conservatives, reds? They changed the colors to confuse the sheeple, who let’s face it, are easily confused.

Blue is the color of those who seek to conserve. Thus the color of the Police and also Vishnu the Preserver. Red is the color of blood and those who want violent change.

    • SoftStarLight June 2, 2020 at 3:35 pm #

A very interesting observation. I also think they like associating Red America with Russia. It all ties together for them in that respect. I know you saw how who was it Susan Rice said that Russia was instigating the riots. That is so outrageous her lie was just obvious and pathetic. But there is some percentage of people out there who will believe it.

Now if he was doing something remotely considered to be “White Supremacy” the kid’s life would totally be over for good and he would likely be facing serious and severe penalties. This is organized terror. The gov mafia is in on it. There are cameras everywhere, and at every intersection. They know exactly who is doing this, and they are letting it happen.

Now they are organizing for commie riots on every European city streets. We’re being walked through a scripted and staged theater. The deliberate incompetence by the police and security forces is not coincidental.

Joe McCarthy was right about almost everything. These are the same people Hitler’s Brown shirts fought. Now they’ve come for America. White Nationalists were willing to go toe to toe with them, but the Government crushed them. That’s the difference this time: the Government is strong and on the side of the Reds.

And once the Troops are on the streets, they may never leave. They have crossed the Rubicon and we all will be the losers now.

      • akmofo June 2, 2020 at 5:42 pm #

It’s all Vatican sponsored staged theater. All these players are part of the same Vatican mafia, taking part in the nonsense scripted dialectic towards Roman feudalism and slavery.

Funny how Cuba turned out. The most “atheist” communist shit hole on the planet, but one where the Pope makes star appearances and Jesuit priests are attached to commie death squads. Two church leaders – one protestant, one catholic, criticise Trump for using their property and symbols as props in a photo-op, and for gassing and shooting peaceful protestors so that Trump could walk 200 metres through a park.

He holds up a Bible – which he’s probably never read (because he’s not featured in it). The whole thing looked absurd … like a book launch where hardly anyone turned up. Everything Trump touches dies … even his evangelical base must see how lame and pathetic it all was.

Fascinating discussion about DNA and world population genetics and the Biblical narrative of creation:

          • Kakadu Man June 2, 2020 at 8:00 pm #

[…] the Biblical narrative of creation

The program makes three points that almost all scientists would agree with:

            • after thousands of genome sequences from around the world, we are all identical to a remarkable degree
            • there was an enormous volcanic event (Toba) 75,000 years ago, leading to maybe a thousand-year winter
            • the human population could have dropped to as few as 2000 breeding pairs (or possibly a bit more than that)

The third point remains contentious, but if something like that occurred, then that would explain our remarkable sameness genetically, since it was fairly recent.

Where these 2,000-10,000 survivors were located remains of course unknown, but it does not discount the “Out of Africa” hypothesis, since that migration around the world happened many millennia before the Toba Event.

There could well have been a surviving population in the Fertile Crescent, since it was very amenable to human development – including both cereals and other crops, plus animals that could be hunted and then domesticated.

This could have led to the “Garden of Eden” mythology. And much later, when the Ice Age ended abruptly and seas rose, this could also have led to the “Noah’s Ark” stories found in many different religions.

          • akmofo June 2, 2020 at 8:21 pm #

The “75,000 years ago” is complete nonsense. It’s based on Darwinian assumptions that now have been shown to be completely false. If fact, all the Darwinian assumptions hypothesis theories were all shown to be false and nothing more than a satanic political agenda dressed up as science. Your speculations are all based on Vatican sponsored nonsense that is 200 years out of date now. They purposefully haven’t updated the scientific school books because the Vatican controls the academia priesthood. At best, the radio carbon method can provide dating to about 1,500 years back, and we already have a fairly good historical record to that time anyway, without the radio carbon method.

          • Kakadu Man June 2, 2020 at 11:34 pm #

I have to advise, that the Darwinian “hypothesis” (but in fact, now fat) is the best we’ve got. Modern human being emerged from Southern Africa about 120,000 years go and spread out fairly rapidly … there’s not much doubt about that these days,

I’m not talking religion, I’m talking science! I’m showing you through modern established up-to-date science that your so-called “scientific” Darwinian beliefs and worldview is nothing but an false religion. Scientifically shown to be false. Not only that, I’m exposing the real purpose and malicious agenda behind such Darwinian beliefs, which is a purely political satanic agenda to discredit historical Hebrew testimony and everything that flows from it, including morality, cultural norms, political organization and structures, nationalism vs imperialism/globalism, foreign policy, monetary thinking, economics, trade, justice and equity, etc.

Babington Leeks — Tastes like leek and Garlic as one

Sunchokes — (AKA Jerusalem Artichokes) Prolific as hell. Lots of production from very little effort.

Rhubarb — totally the most reliable perennial fruit on the planet

Perennial leeks — like the Babington’s above, totally reliable

Asparagus — everybody knows, it’s the best

Garlic — just keep saving your best heads for planting cloves in October

            Shallots — Ditto Garlic

            Garlic chives — reliable

Herbs — many, many herbs self-seed and can be counted on to regrow with every new season.

            Anyway, you get my drift.
Plant perennial veggies whenever, wherever, and whyever you can.

Cops are being suspended for use of ‘excessive force’ and civil rights charges are now being brought against the Minneapolis PD.
In NYC, the police department is being berated by governor Cuomo. Chaos reigns and the cops are in chains.

Extract from Thomas Jefferson’s Notes on the State of Virginia

Deep rooted prejudices entertained by the whites; ten thousand recollections, by the blacks, of the injuries they have sustained; new provocations; the real distinctions which nature has made … will divide us into parties, and produce convulsions which will probably never end but in the extermination of the one or the other race. To these objections, which are political, may be added others, which are physical and moral. The first difference which strikes us is that of colour. … They have less hair on the face and body. They secrete less by the kidnies, and more by the glands of the skin, which gives them a very strong and disagreeable odour. This greater degree of transpiration renders them more tolerant of heat, and less so of cold, than the whites. Comparing them by their faculties of memory, reason, and imagination, it appears to me that in memory they are equal to the whites; in reason much inferior, as I think one could scarcely be found capable of tracing and comprehending the investigations of Euclid: and that in imagination they are dull, tasteless, and anomalous. The Indians, with no advantages … will often carve figures on their pipes not destitute of design and merit. They will crayon out an animal, a plant, or a country, so as to prove the existence of a germ in their minds which only wants cultivation. They astonish you with strokes of the most sublime oratory; such as prove their reason and sentiment strong, their imagination glowing and elevated. … Misery is often the parent of the most affecting touches in poetry. … We know that among the Romans, about the Augustan age especially, the condition of their slaves was much more deplorable than that of the blacks on the continent of America.

JS: Wisdom states we must separate. It’s been known since the very beginning, yet here they are. They could have easily been sent to the Caribbean. It’s not very far away….

    • thwack June 2, 2020 at 7:29 pm #

Janos, your separation dream is just silly and corny. Your people could have stayed in Europe and built a wall around it, and had it all for yourselves…

But nooooooooooooo; you had to run around the world LOOTING all the nonwhite people. You all even brought Africans to the U.S?

So Tom Jeff has absolutely no credibility on the topic of separation; and neither do you.

BTW, what metric/s would you use to determine white people from nonwhite people?

      • Karah June 2, 2020 at 7:39 pm #

I think white/black should be determined by how many whites/blacks you can screw without raping or coercing them.

You are white if you have white friends/lovers and your chillin will be white.

Out of 12 million Africans brought to the Americas 1520-1830, about 355,000 went to what is now the United States.

The real African slavers in world history were Arabs working out of Zanzibar, beginning in the 4th century, until 1890 when the British Navy put and end to it. Total number of slaves taken out of east and central Africa by Arabs in 15 centuries: 25-40 million.

Black slavery in NAmerica, comparatively speaking, was small potatos.

A point I have been directing towards both sides of the argument. There is no such thing as a pure bred anything. No Whites, no Blacks, just a bunch of in betweeners.

It is about time that both sides start realizing this and quit being Blacks or Whites and become justAmericans. Everyone is going to lose all things important if this stupidity continues. Bad enough that Mother Nature is trying to take us out.

Myself, I am probably English, Scotch, Dutch, German, Neanderthal. Four hundred years ago, my ancestors were fighting each other as much as groups are today. Matter of fact, WW1 was between some of them.

You know why people leave an area? Because it gets overcrowded with people. All the excess leave and go somewhere else. That is the story of humanity since it’s start. Think about it , too many people start duking it out or some go elsewhere.

That is America. All the people seeking out new lands over the generations have come here to find new opportunity. Visiting Mombasa, Kenya in 72 made me appreciate how good America has been to Blacks. All American Blacks should visit Africa.

We are a really screwed up in the head society to take all we have for granted.

Within a couple weeks, the news cycle gets back in gear and focuses on some other thing.. maybe back to Wuhan hysteria, or climate change, or if its slow— shark attacks

then lo & behold in maybe 3-4 weeks there will be another video of some cop somewhere doing something violent to somebody– and the whole cycle restarts again– fires & looting & more violence. Then it’ll die down again for a couple weeks yet again… until maybe a week or two later yet another cop, in some other town, does something violent to someone.. and the looting & violence, etc. starts again.. and over and over..

I think this is just the beginning. Overlaying all this, you have the possibility of extremist groups fighting each other, or fighting the police, or fighting the police together.

JS: From Monticello.org – the words of panel of the Jefferson memorial. Below are the original passages from which it taken. Note how his statement about Black freedom is truncated, leaving out the necessity of their leaving these shores since we cannot live together.

    Panel Three
“God who gave us life gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that his justice cannot sleep forever. Commerce between master and slave is despotism. Nothing is more certainly written in the book of fate than that these people are to be free. Establish a law for educating the common people. This it is the business of the state and on a general plan.”

“But let them [members of the parliament of Great Britain] not think to exclude us from going to other markets, to dispose of those commodities which they cannot use, nor41 to supply those wants which they cannot supply. Still less let it be proposed that our properties within our own territories shall be taxed or regulated by any power on earth but our own. The god who gave us life gave us liberty at the same time: the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them.” – “A Summary View of the Rights of British America”4

“For in a warm climate, no man will labour for himself who can make another labour for him. This is so true, that of the proprietors of slaves a very small proportion indeed are ever seen to labor. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with his wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever . . . .” – Notes on the State of Virginia, Query XVIII5

“The whole commerce between master and slave is a perpetual exercise of the most boisterous passions, the most unremitting despotism on the one part, and degrading submissions on the other. Our children see this, and learn to imitate it. . . .” – Notes on the State of Virginia, Query XVIII6

“Nothing is more certainly written in the book of fate than that these people are to be free. Nor is it less certain that the two races, equally free, cannot live in the same government. Nature, habit, opinion has drawn indelible lines of distinction between them.” – Jefferson’s Autobiography7

“Preach, my dear sir, a crusade against ignorance; establish & improve the law for educating the common people.” – Jefferson to George Wythe, August 13, 17868

“It is an axiom in my mind that our liberty can never be safe but in the hands of the people themselves, and that too of the people with a certain degree of instruction. This it is the business of the state to effect, and on a general plan.” – Jefferson to George Washington, January 4, 17869

JS: As I have seen it elsewhere, there is a semicolon after the word “free”, thus, “Nothing is more certainly written in the book of fate than that these people are to be free; Nor is it less certain that the two races, equally free, cannot live in the same government. Nature, habit, opinion has drawn indelible lines of distinction between them.” – Jefferson’s Autobiography7

This passage sums up Jefferson’s philosophy on race and should have been our guiding star. Alas “practical men” though it was too much trouble! Others were salivating at chance of cheap labor. Others, the most far seeing of all, were perhaps already planning the overthrow of our Nation.

Have you been to Monticello? It’s a beautiful place, but there is no getting away from the fact that it was built on slavery. You (and Jefferson) simply cannot hold a view that African-Americans should only be in the country as slaves, as objects of male sexual predation, or as low-paid wage workers..

The world simply does not – and should not – operate that way. Every human being matters, and you cannot unscramble the eggs. African-Americans make up a significant proportion of the US population, and they have every right as Americans as everyone else.

Apart from that, their contribution to American life and culture has been enormous, in so many ways.

I was looking at how you treated your Aborigines. There were massacres up until the 1960s.

Aboriginal People were considered British Subjects from the day of first settlement – 26 January 1788. There were never any state-sponsored massacres of these people in NSW … they were always “citizens”.

There is no doubt that thousands were killed by disease and lawless settlers, but never in the name of the Crown or the State. White people were in fact tried and hanged for killing Aboriginal People.

        Read some history, I suggest.

      • thwack June 2, 2020 at 10:35 pm #

        The short answer is NO.

You hafta wrap your mind around the fact that after the trauma of the Civil War, white people and black people in the South were NOT at each others throats.

We just wanted to get things back to some semblance of “normal”; i.e, can we all eat?

can we all have shelter, clothing…?

In the attempt to destroy the confederacy, a whole bunch of black people died from starvation and disease brought about from starvation when the plantations were looted and burned.

There is a book out there, I forget its name; but its authored by a person who documented the very real, and rather successful attempt by agents of the North, to promote division, anger and hatred between the black slaves, and their former masters AFTER the civil war ended.

They did this because the North was afraid the former rebels would end up back in charge and continue to be an existential threat to the United States of America.

I suspect the only real fear black people in the South had under slavery was the prospect of being sold away from your family because your master got into financial trouble?

        Other than that?

A “slave” had a stable, solid real COMMUNITY on the plantation. Ive been to Mount Vernon and George Washington had a self sustained “city” where the slaves ran the entire estate EVEN when Washington was off fighting the Red Coats?

The black slaves could have easily burned down the plantation and slit Martha’s throat…

        but that never happened.

Also, I once found an ad for a slave auction, circa 1820; and it was amazing to read the skill sets the “dumb niggers” had?

Just about all of them were bilingual, and some were trilingual; every slave had some kind of constructive skill; often 2 or 3…

        Blacksmith, seamtress, coachman…

For example, hanging out at night at the plantation road with a lantern was a slaves job; but if you put a “lawn jockey” in your yard today, you are considered RACIST.

My point is, I suspect if it was left up to Southerners, both black and white, we could have come up with some compromise?

But who/whom would that have hurt? (thats a clue?)

BTW, Jefferson may have had great contempt for black people; but his attention to detail and intense study of them suggest the contrary?

        • Janos Skorenzy June 2, 2020 at 11:36 pm #

Well you’re on a useful track if not the main one. The Jews financed both the North and South. And after the War they descended on the South to buy things up. Negroes were put in charge since Whites couldn’t vote, Whites disarmed and Negro rape and burn gangs roamed the land – until the rise of the Knights. It might not have happened if Whites could get redress of grievances. But the Union soldiers laughed them to scorn when they tried. And of course the Government was Black and useless as well so…..

          • Janos Skorenzy June 2, 2020 at 11:41 pm #

Also the talented tenth factor comes in here. Give the best people something to do and put them over the rest – and a status quo is established. Why would the best Blacks rebel since they were now Kings of their little world? In Haiti it went much farther, with Mulattoes having real power – as in the balance of power between Blacks and Whites.

The Korean used the same principle – taking the best American Prisoners and isolating them from the rest. The rest then became compliant.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the United States will “push back” against the “corrupt” International Criminal Court in the coming days.”

This Administration is seeing corruption EVERYWHERE but poses as the Righteous Warrior fighting it on all sides.

    What a crock.

WHO is ‘corrupt’, now the ICC is ‘corrupt’. It reeks of projection.

Pompeo has slammed the international tribunal over its inquiries into U.S. actions in Afghanistan and Israeli actions in the Palestinian territories. His Monday comments, on a podcast hosted by the right-leaning American Enterprise Institute, hinted that the United States could retaliate soon.

“You’ll see in the coming days a series of announcements not just from the State Department, from all across the United States government, that attempt to push back against what the ICC is up to,” he said. “I think that the ICC and the world will see that we are determined to prevent having Americans and our friends and allies in Israel and elsewhere hauled in by this corrupt ICC.”

Listening to books while weeding and watering is a very, very productive use of one’s time.

Listening to Jim’s description of your time together gave me a different perspective on your life and existence.

    how so?

did I seem bigger and blacker ?

JHK is quite talented in his craft. He was able to take all my babble and spewage and turn it into a coherence story.

    Are you a musician?

Height/weight/skin are of no significance to me,
unless I happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time:
which I try to avoid, because that’s when bad things happen.

      “Are you a musician?”

      Well, it’s a short story.
I took classical piano training from age 7 to age 17,
from a guy with a reputation.
He pushed and pushed me to apply to Julliard; said he
had the connections to get me in, no problem.
      I said no.
Just could not imagine that kind of life.

I hooked up with a local garage band in my twenties.
      That went nowhere.
It was a long time ago.

I keep thinking about getting an electronic keyboard,
just to start fooling around again.

My life is all about vegetable gardening from May through September.
During the other 6 months of the year I’m just jacking around, wasting my time, except for reading, something voracious I’ve done since I could first decipher text on paper. But . . .

there is a need to do something constructive during those long-night months of the year, and maybe it’s time to segue back to music. The electronic keyboards I’ve looked at recently, boggle the mind with all the connectivity options.

Keep in touch. We just might be able to work something out.

  96. Q. Shtik June 3, 2020 at 1:14 am #

A couple of observations for no particular reason:

    1. When I first heard that a black man named George Floyd had been killed by a cop I became a little disoriented about the victim’s name. I had it in my head that this was the name of a British politician. I Googled up the answer. David Lloyd George was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1916 to 1922. And thus my confusion.

    2. I listened for a bit today to the regular broadcast by NY Governor Andrew Cuomo (who my wife always makes a point of referring to as ‘President’ Cuomo) concerning (mainly) the Covid pandemic. It was only natural that the pandemic update of cases/deaths stats was overwhelmed by news of the Floyd riots. Perhaps 10 times the Governor used the word “murder” when describing what had happened to “Mr. Floyd” at the hands of the Mnpls police. He wasn’t pulling any punches. There was no mention of ‘manslaughter’ or ‘3rd degree’ it was just plain ‘murder.’ I think this was a tactical error that could well be used in the defense of the cop, Chauvin. Declaration of a verdict before there has been a trial. And I am still waiting to hear how the cop’s name is pronounced. Is it SHOW-vin?

    • SoftStarLight June 3, 2020 at 1:21 am #

We pronounce it like “show-van” here in Louisiana. But you barely hear the n at the end. It’s a coonass last name though.

    • Kakadu Man June 3, 2020 at 1:59 am #

If you back over someone with your truck when you’re drunk, and you kill them, it’s probably manslaughter. If you crush someone’s windpipe for eight minutes until they’re dead, it’s probably murder … what is hard to understand about this?

      • SoftStarLight June 3, 2020 at 2:29 am #

“If you crush someone’s windpipe for eight minutes until they’re dead, it’s probably murder”. Ok but you are indicating that there is potential gray area there. Why and what is it? You know what things mean but you act like you don’t. You said American Exceptionalism is a powerful force. Not when it’s burning. America is more like Brazil demographically speaking now (and probably criminally too at this point) than anything close to this notional White Christian country you find so terrifying to contemplate. Really. Elite liberals control reality at this point since they control all institutions and means of communication and yet the complaints never end. Simply put. Ya’ll suck.

This is a pathetic attempt at very poor humour. Do you have no respect at all for the death of George Floyd? Shame on you.

So Q, if you support officer Chauvin – Capt Spaulding

It is very annoying to be misunderstood even if, possibly, the misunderstanding is fake.

How, Kaka, do you get the impression my riff on the names George Floyd and Lloyd George was in any way intended as ‘humour’ (I forgive you and Brits everywhere for the superfluous letter u in the word humor)? Plain and simply I was telling you what went through my mind.

And, Capt S., where do you get the idea I ‘support’ officer Chauvin? I simply reported an observation that Gov Cuomo may have made a tactical error in prejudging the incident as ‘murder’. I will predict right here that when the trial happens the defense lawyers for Chauvin will use this to suggest the potential jury pool has been contaminated by Cuomo’s loose lips.

        • capt spaulding June 3, 2020 at 5:28 pm #

I was just trying to make a play on words Q, that’s all. Guess I’ll have to keep a leash on my attempts at humor. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Far ranging article. A bit of everything. Twitter videos of a White girl on her knees begging forgiveness from a Black for the sin of being White. And a group of young “Christian” Whites praying with Blacks about the same thing. But only they were kneeling and facing the Blacks. They were praying to the Blacks in other words.

But he moves on past this abyss to give a vision of what Whites need and deserve to have. Also some good info about how Whites are shot by cops at a higher rate than Blacks.

This level of treason thoroughly permeates all areas of life in the US. People paid by taxpayers to serve for the public good openly embrace looting, burnng, destruction of property, rape and murder. And I’m sure she won’t be called out at all for saying it.

Tucker asked the question tonight. How long before no one even wants to be a cop? If elected leaders continue with this then no one should pay taxes anymore. Fuck em. Let em come collect it. They are all criminals to begin with so what moral right do they have to do anything to you?

    • BackRowHeckler June 3, 2020 at 4:58 am #

      Who needs the police?

BLM and the NYT are advocating for defunding PDs in the US, replaced by ‘Rapid Response Social Workers’, ha. In fact if you read their manifesto that’s the goal.

      • SoftStarLight June 3, 2020 at 9:38 am #

I heard about that. I believe Tucker mentioned that too as well on his show last night. He made the comment that we, the regular folks, would be stuck depending (if we are silly enough) on the rapid response social workers. But! The super rich will still have their walls and private security so they are really not all that concerned. The mobs will swarm the neighborhoods policed by the social workers of course because ultimately it will be a free for all.

Check out this statement from Minnesota AG Keith Ellison’s son:

“I hereby declare, officially, my support for ANTIFA

Unless someone can prove to me ANTIFA is behind the burning of black and immigrant owned businesses in my ward, I’ll keep focusing on stopping the white power terrorist THE ARE ACTUALLY ATTACKING US!”

Remember his daddy was pictured proudly displaying the Antifa Handbook, whose author was recently featured by the Washington Compost.

Aside from the comical levels of stupidity in the post, this highlights that people in high places are fomenting this stuff.

    As if we didn’t know.

Are you sick of winning yet?

President Dumbfuckery is so full of shit – here he is claiming, multiple times, that he is “ the most militaristic person ever” among other things.

That clearing the street – with obscene force – of an entirely peaceful protest so President Dumbfuckery could get a photo-op in front of a (boarded up!) church Is possibly his nadir – until his next nadir.

    • BackRowHeckler June 3, 2020 at 7:39 am #

Really? 60 Secret Service agents were injured protecting the White House 2 nights ago. Peaceful protests indeed.

      • Nightowl June 3, 2020 at 8:13 am #

OFC it is. Also left out of the emotional rant was the President striding out of the White House on his own two feet in public to make his way to said church in a show of both solidarity with the victims and defiance of the globalist mob.

      • Majella June 3, 2020 at 8:40 am #

The crowd that was expelled from Lafayette Park was not “the mob” of a few nights ago. Look at the footage. It was also just after 6 pm, long before curfew.

As to “Our Man of the People” striding out… he knows how despised he is by a majority of Americans that he wouldn’t dare to, or be able to, walk past a crowd of his own citizens.

Why would I need to I had been watching circus full of freaks and weirdos off and on all day! Your link equals a massaged reality for what you wanted to be happening verses what really happened ie parts of the protest and rioting had been cut out if you claimed it was peaceful.
I saw the Federal protective service and assorted local and federal cops dealing with rioters all day leading up to and including the police charges and retreats to clear the streets.
Finally they signaled enough is enough and the paid communists and anarchists left stage left as they always do when they realize they are going to get shut down or arrested.

Is Macys re opening its flagship store in Manhattan – BRH

I worked at the Macy’s Herald Square store for 5 months in their internal audit dept in the late ’70s. It was an awful experience. The Dept head was an alcoholic and a maniac. I was fired one day and as I walked away from the building toward the bus terminal I swore I would never look at that bldg again and, in fact, would never set foot in NYC again. And I kept this promise for about 15 years until my hatred somewhat dissipated.

First the COVID quarantine. Cooped-up in cramped flats in the city.
All the amenities that supposedly made city life exceptional vanished.
Restaurants, museums, window-shopping, civic spaces (parks, bandstands) closed. Analog entertainment, distractions, variety. All the things that made life easier made life deadly: elevators, stairwells, taxis, ride-sharing, subways, light rail, sidewalks.

And right when the lockdown was about to lift in some arbitrary phase to return to a “new normal” of abnormal, the riots broke out. Ostensibly to protest yet another murder of a black person by the police, but ultimately hijacked by the fringe elements who were done wrong by the DNC, what sadly amounts to the progressive wing in the US, who nominated a creepy old white career grifter, once again passing over the other too-old white guy who occasionally dabbles in socialism.

The army of cliched and comically tattooed types, normally busy slinging beers, espressos, and plates or dicing onions in some kitchen found themselves with plenty of time and plenty of resentment. So they took to the streets. Tagging, breaking, burning, stealing, beating, and once again sending the denizens back cowering in their cramped flats.

So much has been said about life in the dead vanilla suburbs, but the reality is that the cities are now committing suicide on an exponential scale.

How many people are willing to continue life in a place, particularly in an era of unprecedented teleworking, where expensive office towers predicated on close proximity of employees to the office brass are becoming comically obsolete, only to enjoy the rich, and expensive, cultural life of a Starbucks, Amy’s Breads, and LuluLemon on every corner in place of the security, space, and chaos-free living that suburban and small town life enjoy?

Cities are fast becoming an embarrassing relic of the industrial and post-industrial era. Unaffordable, ungovernable, untenable, unloveable.

    • BackRowHeckler June 3, 2020 at 9:33 am #

And piles of rubble and ash.

In some way these civil disturbances seem to be an internecine war between the old left Farmer/Labor party (in Minnesota), and the new radical hard left of Bernie Sanders and AOC, fought out in once great American cities,

A lefty Civil War like in Spain 1936, Trotskyites vs Stalinists vs Anarchists.

Still pretty calm out here. Actually flowers are in full bloom and garden beginning to flourish. There have been some noises made about the mob coming out here to loot the suburbs — “make them pay” — and the news said the gun stores have sold out of ammo, don’t try to buy any. We’re not too worried right now.

      • stelmosfire June 3, 2020 at 10:11 am #

Hey Marlin, I actually found an online ammo dealer who will ship to MA. What a surprise. Some people still believe in the Constitution. Box comes with heart and smiley face stickers with the label Freedom Seeds. 45-70 at 31 bucks a box, steep I know, but it packs a punch.

      • 100th Avatar June 3, 2020 at 10:16 am #

Another distinct advantage of the suburbs: there is no “there” there.
Where can protestors rally? A Jo-Ann Fabrics at the strip mall?
        The Target?

Perhaps a nondescript cul-de-sac in a nondescript vinyl sided subdivision?

    • Nightowl June 3, 2020 at 9:50 am #

Those pushing the chaos know this.

At the blue chip company I work for, we get surveys every 2-3 days now asking us leading questions on how we like and/or are faring with full-time “home office” as the Germans call it.

They are sending clear signals that they not only don’t expect us to resume normal office hours any time soon, but that they do not want us to. The surveys are all constructed to lead the taker into providing only positive feedback, and they always end with suggestions for how the company could support us even more.

In my estimate, part of the “next normal” is the scribe and vassal class cocooned in their homes, while the serfs and soon-to-be serfs fend for themselves on the streets as we transition to the global plantation.

      • 100th Avatar June 3, 2020 at 10:10 am #

Maintaining cubicle farms is a rather absurd and nonessential expense. Electricity, conditioned air, janitorial, bandwidth, water coolers. Let the employee pay for those. Employee has the advantage of reduced travel, wardrobe and dry cleaning costs. Employer has the advantage of less awkward terminations. No more getting called down to the manager’s broom closet only to return with a box to gather cubicle bric-a-brac.. family picture, child’s drawings, service awards, etc. Just a denied login. Sadly, you’ve been let go, with no one to know.

Besides, the cities, that now amount to nothing more than playgrounds for the rich, can convert most of those those offices to residential towers so as to house the vast underclass that provides them services.
