Is there a game on?  Consider: What you’re seeing may not be what you think you’re seeing. If an “orderly transition to the next administration” meant what you think it means, Nancy Pelosi would not be shrieking for an insta-super-quickie impeachment. By the way, what would that look like as a procedural matter? Think: Chinese fire drill.

The New York Times’s panties are on fire, declaring a national emergency. Headline this morning: Democrats Demand Trump’s Removal. Funny… they didn’t feel this exercised when Antifa attacked congressmen and senators on the streets of Washington last summer, leaving the president’s acceptance speech at the White House. Twitter and Facebook are busy throwing overboard anybody who dares to challenge the narrative they’ve helped to craft. Something’s up now and it’s making them even more hysterical than usual.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday called for Vice President Mike Pence to immediately initiate the removal of President Donald Trump, declaring him a seditious threat to the country who can’t be trusted to finish even the last two weeks of his term.  —Politico

Consider also: you and I are in that fabled fog of war, and that fog is going to hang around in the days ahead. You may see strange shapes moving around in that fog, and that’s about it. Eventually, the fog will lift and the battlefield will not look the same as it did a week ago. So, it’s hard to see right now, but I hear a lot and I’ll just report what I hear for what it’s worth. I can’t prove any of this is true right now. A lot of it may seem crazy, fantastical.  What with the pitch of news media mind-fuckery we’ve been living under, there have probably never been stranger days in our America.

The game is a deadly one because there is so much at stake: careers, reputations, fortunes, lives, the climax of four years of seditious Gotcha. The “Resistance” threw everything it could at the Golden Golem of Greatness. It discommoded him in his duties, and wasted the nation’s precious time in a gathering crisis of civilization, but nothing stuck to him: RussiaGate, impeachment, not even Covid-19. The November 3rd election was the final play. Ever find, in a game of chess, that you’ve unwittingly blundered into checkmate?

Who, exactly, invaded the Capitol building on Wednesday when that mass of Trump supporters swarmed up the hallowed hill? Some Antifas and BLMs were on the scene for sure, probably in the vanguard, probably the ones smashing the windows to break in. But somebody else went in there, too, and rounded up a whole bunch of congressional laptops, including several in Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office, foolishly left behind when members were evacuated in a panic.

Perhaps you’ve heard of the Italian job. A story circulating on the web from one Maria Zack, founder of a fair election monitoring org called Nations in Action, says that the election ballot fraud operation was run out of Italy through a set of that country’s communication satellites by a CIA team working with former Italian government officials, and one of Italy’s defense contractors. The story claims that former president Barack Obama was directly involved and that the operation was financed with dollars skimmed from the billions of dollars transferred to Iran under the terms of Mr. Obama’s No Nukes deal. Affidavits and depositions are filed. The UK’s MI6 may be involved, as they were in the RussiaGate shenanigans. Is this just another mind-fuck? Maybe. I guess we’ll have to stand by and find out. You can do that, can’t you? In the fog of the moment?

Did congress knowingly certify a fraudulent election? That will be a tantalizing question in the days ahead. Another rumor in the fog says that Director of National Intelligence Ratcliffe delivered a report on foreign interference in the election to members of congress following the conclusion early Thursday morning of their electoral college business. Was that the match that set Resistance panties on fire? Mr. Ratcliffe has been missing-in-action for more than a week. His report was originally scheduled for delivery to the president November 18. It was postponed and everybody forgot about it, especially the news media.

Let’s also just step back for a moment and ask: why did so many flag-waving MAGAs turn out Wednesday on the Mall in Washington DC? Answer: because they have been served one shit sandwich after another for four years by the Democratic Party and their captive news media, and the latest one featured vote tabulations getting erased in real time at ten-plus thousand vote increments right before their eyes on the flatscreen in the wee hours of November 4. And after that, and other balloting monkeyshines, the response from their government was a mere yawn. Total institutional failure. The ballot fraud that so many witnessed was never aired or adjudicated in a proper legal forum, and they were good and goddam pissed about it.

Mr. Trump is rumored to be at an air force base in Texas, having vamoosed the White House as being unsafe for him. Is he cornered by his antagonists or does he have a planned operation underway? Who knows (not me)? He certainly had enough time to plan it, and the king-post in the whole deal may have been that he had to exhaust all the ritual avenues in disputing the election fraud before he could launch a counter-coup. If his adversaries intend to run the 25th Amendment on him, he will have to act quickly.

The president didn’t appear panicked in the speech released on Thursday, in which he promised that orderly transition to the next administration, certainly not panicked in the inflamed manner of Nancy Pelosi. In the mythology of my people, the Golem was a giant fashioned out of clay by a rabbi seeking desperately to protect his village from a pogrom. I didn’t dub Mr. Trump the Golden Golem of Greatness for nothing. For the moment all is fog and noise.

I think I speak for many who are on the right, alt-right, white or male when I say this doesn’t feel like our country and we are now hated citizens in our own land. I was born into a heavy democrat family, union and all that, and I believed many of the core OLD democrat values: anti-war, pro-environment, pro-worker – of course we have not seen those values espoused for 20 years. Obama paid some small lip service before proceeding to disregard everything and switch hard into identity politics.

Despite the constant rhetoric of ‘racism’/sexism whatever, being white and male you are discriminated against covertly or overtly in this country, and it will only get worse. Many, many civil service exams give points to female, minority, and military, so Sandra Martinez the 1 year army private who left after pregnancy is getting +15 pts on a 100 point test. So when someone tries to tell me how racist orsexist I am by virtue of simply being a white male, it simply doesn’t stack up to the facts.

The scariest thing is the rise of big tech. Watching the alt-right back in the heyday of the movement (early 2010s) was a fascinating and exciting time. But slowly and inevitably youtube, google and others would delist, block and destroy major alt-right players – replacing them with ‘approved’ alternatives who almost always had connections back to big tech or finance. All the real people got wiped out. This culminated in the 2016 Charlottesville witch hunt that generally destroyed the movement (which was prevailing against big tech despite the uphill battle)

Trump won, and acted as a type of relief valve to the anger of the right. As to whether he was successful, that leaves a lot open for debate. But what is not debatable is the fact this election was out-right stolen and bigtech/dems refuse to do any sort of audit to cast legitimacy over it. Joe biden is not a leader, nor is the identity politics ‘multi-race’ harris, they are clear stooges of the deep state.

To be clear, the alt-right (and all those with similar views) have been hunted online for many years, Trump represented a type of control or stress relief. With the blatant steal, and total disregard for the right we now feel like there is nothing left to strive or live for in this country. It has abandoned us and views us as enemies. This will not turn out pretty. Expect a quick slide into 3rd world economies, banana boat republics and the worst parts of cyberpunk dystopias of passports/vaccines and spying.

Also expect a lot of violence, real or otherwise, all of it blamed on the right of course.

      • shotho January 8, 2021 at 10:36 am #

Right. Maybe nothing has stuck on Trump to this point, but it’s on him like glue now. They’ve got him where they have been wanting him and they have the power to make it stick. I think Uncle Joe would not want to see Trump persecuted and prosecuted any further, if for no other reason he would not want to face the same in the future, but it may be out of his hands.
Trump would probably be well-advised to get out of Dodge now, hunker down in Florida and keep his mouth shut. I imagine he’s being given that advice, but he seems to take advice poorly.

        • BackRowHeckler January 8, 2021 at 1:18 pm #

I doubt ‘Uncle Joe’ — Beijing Biden — will be around long, maybe not for more than a few months. This trojan horse has mucho Chinese Schwag to spend, and at 78 years old, not alot of time to spend it. A loyal soldier, he served his purpose, now it’s time for ‘Uncle Joe’ to reap the reward.

Many decades ago, Frank Sinatra a dyed in the wool Democrat was once asked why he left the Democrat party and became a staunch supporter of Ronald Reagan. His response was: “I didn’t leave the Democrat Party, the Democrat Party left me”. And that was when the Democrat Party was still civil, hasn’t been for decades.

Martin Armstrong has for quite some time, well before the elections said it would be the most corrupt election in American history and he was right. He also said prior to the elections that neither side would accept defeat and that chaos, violence and civil unrest was assured. It looks like he will be right and those calls as well.

Until the Clintons made the party unrecognizable. Sure, it had some bumps and fits before they ruined it, but they gave it the death blow.

        • abbybwood January 8, 2021 at 1:31 pm #

I was running for Congress in 1992 and was deep into the thick of Democrat politics here in Southern California.

There was a big hoop-tee-doo here at a swank hotel ballroom and I had been invited as a candidate.

But I was also doing research on Bill Clinton and his Mena, Arkansas cocaine trafficking/South American troop training operation along with Poppy Bush.

Terry Reed, the author of “Compromised” actually showed up to my house one night and did an interview with me and an associate of mine. Sarah McClenden (who I am proud to say endorsed me) actually asked Bill Clinton about Mena at a press conference and he denied all.

So I knew Bill Clinton was out in the hallway of the shindig waiting to be introduced and I made my way through his detail and started asking him questions about Mena. He shifted back and forth, tried to pull his charm on me but I pressed on. Finally his face turned beet red and I was scooted away.

That was the day he made a big DLC (Democratic Leadership Council) speech and we all knew this would be a huge shift in the party away from being anti-war, pro-environment, pro-union, Medicare for All etc.

After he was elected and gutted Glass-Steagall in 1999? the Democrat/Corporate/Big Banking coup was in full steam ahead mode.

But being a fool I fell for the whole Obama schtick TWICE then when they had the gall to try to crown the criminal Hillary Queen that was when I walked away from the Democrat Party for good and supported Trump. Not because I supported him, but because I really wanted to be a part of sticking it to her.

Hillary’s denial of the crown and all the tears and moaning at The Javitz Center on election night 2016 started off the series of political tantrums we all witnessed over the past four years including the pussy hat demo where Madonna said she had dreams of “blowing up The White House” and woke degenerates with blue hair pounding on the doors to a Senate chamber as they screamed and wailed against Kavanaugh.

I feel we have just witnessed a fascist coup with the lockdowns against a Magic Virus with a 99% survival rate and the millions of unsolicited mail in ballots that had the word FRAUD stamped on them.

I am old now, will refuse the biotech mRNA vaccine and it seems all I can do now is watch the show and try to get my spring bulbs planted.

          • MaryV January 8, 2021 at 6:46 pm #

Wow that’s a great story. I quit the Dems in 2006 or so, and always hated the Clintons.

          • Rain Waters January 8, 2021 at 10:37 pm #

Tie died in the wool Dems started looking too rich for my tastes by 2000 too. When the remaining “players in the band” endorsed O for second term that was it for me. Now our voices will be removed from Archive too. . .

          • Islander January 9, 2021 at 12:31 am #

This parallels very closely my own trajectory. I come from a very liberal background. Father pacifist/socialist, mother. I would never had dreamed of voting for a Repug!! Even though we all hated Johnson—remember how much we hated him?—I would NEVER have voted Repug!!!

I saw what was going on under Bill Clinton but couldn’t put the three worst things that went down on his “watch”—Glass-Steagall, NAFTA, welfare reform (at that time I couldn’t comprehend the significance of the attack on Yugoslavia)—into a bigger context. It was only when the s— hit the fan with the Maidan, with Syria, then with the Hillary candidacy—that I became really disgusted with the Dem Party and decided to vote for Trump just to put a wrench in the Hillary works!! I am from a blue state, so it was just a gesture to weaken her expected mandate. Ha ha!!

I was appalled by Trump, but even more appalled to witness the response to him, the attempt to utterly degrade him personally, and his voters, and the office of the presidency that he had won. I couldn’t believe the pink pussy hat BS–who was behind it? Then the Russiagate thing got cranked up in earnest. I checked out of the Dem Party.

I tried to talk to Dem friends and family—to explain that something was very wrong with *our* party and we had to fix *our* party, not just emote all day long about Trump. But these people only wanted to emote about Trump, not have a conversation about what was going on in the US of A.

Then came the C’ville incident. One of my relatives t hought it was wrong of the ACLU to (at first) defend the right of the C’ville march to take place. Major rot, IMO. Not to understand that the point of civil liberties is that they don’t depend on your agreeing with your adversaries to guarantee their right to express their own views. Down the toilet. Trump was excoriated for saying that there was violence on both sides. Which was true.

More and more I saw that the “left” in this country was being driven crazy by Trump! What was doubly disturbing was that I actually couldn’t stand Trump either—for example, his kowtowing to Israel— but I was actually more disgusted by the obviously unhinged obsession on the left with bringing Trump down by any means, including torturing the public with the impeachment farce. They were never going to accept that he had managed to win the presidency.

Hence for me now the big theater about “concession” is ludicrous, after what the Dems have put the country through. It is really no wonder that Trump voters have been driven ever more mad by the crazy show put on by Washington. Topped off by suppression of genuine news regarding Hunter Biden and the general “canceling” of the president. Extraordinary. “Leaders” in DC are pretending to be “sane” while uttering crazy stuff like Nancy Pelosi’s rantings. Who believes that the Biden is anything but an empty figurehead for backroom manipulators? But all of the “emptiness” and “fakeness” ad “ranting” is hung on Trump.

          • emme January 9, 2021 at 8:21 am #

Abby wood, your political journey is similar to my own, minus a run for political office. Raised by lifelong pro-union democrats, who became anti-war as a result of serving in WW2 and watching Viet Nam unfold. Pro Medicare for all and pro environment in the sense of conserving resources and cleaning up our messes. Think Jimmy Carter’s learn to live well with less, not the 4IR high tech gizmos and gadgets being touted as the solutions to our energy woes today.

That party disappeared, bit by bit, mostly during the Clinton years. And it is not coming back. The progressives say they will push the Biden administration to the left, but other than M4A, their agenda is identity politics and techno fabulous energy solutions. The whole Build Back Better schtick The question is, better for whom? Not us, I suspect.

On a side note, a whole ‘ other lifetime ago, I worked as a local reporter in a small city near Arkansas. The local Democrats were having a cocktail fundraiser event with speakers, etc; media invited. New AR gov Bill Clinton was one of the speakers. And you are not kidding about the man’s ability to lay on the good ole boy charm, especially on any female who crosses his path.

        • Uncle Bob January 9, 2021 at 12:05 am #

The worst thing the Democrats ever did was taking the Clintons and their donor base over a genuine war hero like Bob Kerrey, who was also governor then senator from traditionally red Nebraska. I guess even then, in 1992, they were engaging in identity politics (the “genius” Hillary vs. Medal of Honor winner Kerrey). Thanks.

        • MisterBimmler January 9, 2021 at 12:03 pm #

Remember who paved the way for Clinton: Gary Hart. It’s been written about in other places how the backlash from Watergate (itself a very fishy episode) opened the door for the money men to reconfigure the economy around finance, with the rejuvenated Baby Boomer Democratic Party in the vanguard.
Now with the level of automation that’s been achieved in the economy and the switch from mass conscription armies to battalion or company-sized commando teams backed up by air support, there’s no more need to pander to the lower orders. The economy is being reconfigured yet again for the reset. The question is can they manage to pull up the drawbridge before their castle sinks into the swamp. They don’t need you anymore. They think. We’ll soon find out how far a breakaway civilization can take the world with their heads jammed fully into their backsides.

      • Troy Skaggs January 10, 2021 at 5:03 pm #

I grew up in a liberal family and identified as such until a deployment to Afghanistan couldn’t square with what I was hearing on N.P.R.’s Democracy Now. Most corporate media now reeks of controlled opposition now that I’ve stepped away from it. I’d always had a sense of cognitive dissonance going on, an intuitive itch that I needed to scratch. That scratching led me to ground in diametric opposition of “Provressive” unreality. The Democratic charade is obvious and disgusting. As a rural working class space case, it took me a few more years to realize that the Republicans aren’t very reliable travelling partners either. I don’t think there’s a genteel way through any of this. Low trust to the lowest of common denominators marketed as a just, fair, vital, benevolent and NECESSARY Democracy/Republic by those in highest of places financed by the highest of bidders. A beacon of blatant piracy for the whole world to see. High ground still exists I believe, but it’s certainly doesn’t exist in the Mainstream anymore.

        • Ron Anselmo January 11, 2021 at 12:23 am #

Well said Troy. Yes, high ground still exists. We need to take it and hold it. Good always prevails.

    • MaryV January 8, 2021 at 11:14 am #

Well said, a very astute analysis. I also grew up in a Democrat household and espouse those same traditionally Democrat values. That ended when the globalist Clintons infiltrated and took over the party. I have not been supportive of it since. And even before that, corporatism was making it practically identical to the Republican party. Both are ‘establishment’ and do nothing at all for the actual citizens of this country. But at least during Trump, we got a respite from new wars, for the most part. We got someone who would blurt out truths about the deep state (how refreshing). At least he’d address it! So we know HE knows.

And then along came the identity politics: the Trans Agenda, which is a big pharma psyop and its sister social engineering divider, ‘anti-racism’ (which is racist). And universities and colleges are instituting both. The goal is to get people to accept fascist practices such as you illustrate, with pushing aside whitey to give a People Of Color ™ their job, no matter the qualification or experience. I have been watching this unfold as well. The way they are able to do this is the CIA’s grip on the mainstream media, which Trump also criticized, and which most of us now realize is destructive garbage.

I stopped watching TV ‘news’ in 2012 and that’s why I can clearly see who is destroying our country in order to usher in global techno-fascism. Thank you for being a fellow soldier in this fight against these horrible monsters. I hope that JHK is right and something prevails against them. Otherwise, we are in for Dark Ages 2.0.

      • JohnAZ January 8, 2021 at 11:19 am #

All methods to divide the country to maintain power, Machiavellian power control, that has been used for centuries.

This is what the FF were afraid of when they drafted the Constitution and invented the division of power. The same division of power that the Dems are so busy undoing right now.

Dumb kids and immigrants!!! It is working for them.

      • Mountain gal January 8, 2021 at 12:06 pm #

I too grew up in a staunch Democrat home but I don’t vote that way anymore. The Democrats are no longer the party of my parents and grandparents. Seems to me though that many haven’t yet realized this and sort of reflexively vote the party ticket no matter what.

        • MaryV January 8, 2021 at 12:21 pm #

Way too many; and now the Dem party acts like a cult with members forced to adhere with everything no matter how insane.

          • SW January 8, 2021 at 2:57 pm #

Bill Clinton was a master at manipulating the lower to middle class voters. He understood them and was able to articulate sympathy with their problems but no real empathy. He also got out of the sticks of Arkansas as quickly as possible (& I don’t blame him) and started up the ladder of success. The Democratic Party was a tool for him to climb that ladder. So many things he did or left undone — like health care — have set the stage for a deep rot to set in.

He was the Grim Reaper of unions, industrialization in America, protection from predatory bankers, hope for universal health care, and he opened the door wide to private prisons. But he is staunchly defended by most Democrats I know and Obama is untouchable.

Your mistake was in that you kept voting like your hooked on it for voting don’t mean a thing, if everyone would simply quit voting things would change but as long as they can con you that its somehow UN=American not to vote than they have you hooked.

I saw today where Fakebook took down “The Walk Away” movement’s page.

500,000 video testimonials from various Americans who have walked away from the Democrat Party….gone.

So now we can add one more reason to loathe the Democrats: censorship.

      • Pat Ormsby January 9, 2021 at 6:33 am #

I’m another “me too” here. Totally let down by the big D Dems. Around 2010 or so I told them they no longer represented my views and to leave me alone. I suppose most of us who stuck with Jim during his disillusionment with the “fake left” as Ramin Mazaheri calls them have been through as much of a let down. Our dear K-Dog had not quite reached that, I think. But I wonder how much it does take for some people to see the maggots in the rotting corpse of a once great party. My mother refuses to look at anything beyond the mainstream news. My father, were he still with us, would deep down have recognized that the party was over, but I also imagine that realization would have been too much for him and he’d have shrugged and pretended it weren’t so.

Discrimenation against White Males isn’t new buddy! We had 300 years of white privilege. When I applied to U-Washington in 1968 – American born Asian, Black, females who were long disenfranchised had an easier path in. Many of us young white men just stepped up to the plate and worked a hell of a lot harder than other privileged white guys who claimed the game was rigged and gave up. Step up to the plate buddy unless your daddy can get you in the way DJ Drumpf’s daddy got him in. Hope there’s never a draft unless you have bone-spurs.

Think about how the entire post Civil War era, the presidency was staffed entirely by men who had served in the war in some capacity. Grant, Hayes, Garfield, Harrison, McKinley. Now they all have some lame excuse. Piles, Bow-legged, bon spurs..whatever. Even Goerge II who was supposedly in the ‘Air National Guard’ (since he never turned up, I don’t count him).

    • amb January 8, 2021 at 1:43 pm #

Must look at the big picture. The American government was infiltrated and derailed decades and decades ago. The Populist movement… with Trump being a symbol (like Reagan and Perot) has just pulled the curtain back exposing much much more of the rot we already knew existed. The stolen election was just a battle in a very big and ongoing war. Fourth Turning? Shining the Light of Truth? Renaissance of the Nation-State? call it what you will, but this is just the beginning. We are all in this for the long haul. Sort of a “Hundred Year’s War”. Reagan, Perot and Trump just got the ball rolling. Yes, well spoken. Also new American heroes will be made in these battles and wars – Ashli Babbitt may not only be the first casualty, but in my opinion, the first hero. Something tells me she’d prefer that over heroine. God bless her.

Too much fossil fuels put in the hands of humans cheaper than water

Sustaining a social divide is colossally energy-costly.

The trillions of mobile-phone, laptops and TV views over US election scenes and news for all the last months worldwide have made those devices wear and tear quicker.

Now they’ll require earlier repairs and replacements.

Putting the incredibly energy-dense finite fossil fuels in the hand of humans by Economics, cheaper than water – has made humans abusing those one-off resources to waste.

They are turned into waste when humans build SUVs, operating fake Energy projects, run noisy, outdated social contracts, political systems and elections – overlooking what irreplaceable energy resources are burned in the process – for good.

No matter what, the last US election appears a small dispute between angels – when compared to Iraq, for instance, where that country becomes paralysed for months and years after each [typically troubled] election. Oil exports remain working like a Swiss Watch amid all that chaos, though!

Sustaining a social divide is colossally energy-costly, indeed.

Perhaps you don’t understand that the world has changed and your white male privileges have been discounted back to the “all men are created equal” aspiration written into the Declaration of Independence that founded your country. The constant whining from well educated middle-aged white men who suddenly find that white privilege is meaningless in a globalized world (that they voted for in the past) is pathetic.

    • Amman January 10, 2021 at 11:14 am #

It is obvious, overseas at least, that the target is the one you mentioned. It seems incredible to some but that is the fact. The worst, the most transgressive, are now treated better and lauded as examples of being and life. Ultimately, indirectly or directly, the rise of European peoples led to the rise and augmentation of the planets population by an additional 2 Billion humans despite the liberal fairy tales taught in today’s universities. This confirms the judgment that the rise of the European populations, as a civlization force, was ultimately positive and pro-life in a historic scale. So you should thank your maker for that. (This is also the case with Middle Islamic civilization, their sciences and their global reach but that is another story and concerns a far smaller planet population..) To conclude, if there had been a serious downfall to this civilizational force, you can be sure there would have been serious consequences on a negative and proportionate scale. I conlclude with that last statement and believe it in.

    • Unperson37854 January 12, 2021 at 10:57 am #

No justice is coming. We have and have had more evidence of crimes that gets ignored than the left have ever had, and yet they’re able to run with unnamed sources opinions as irrefutable proof to build a myth into a rock-solid fact.

The actions of left are not because they are scared or desperate. They are emboldened, no consequences are coming their way and they are just showing more of their true colors.

Exploiting the capital protests (complete with Antifa agitators on camera calling to burn it down who conveniently AREN’T getting charged for anything) is just what the left does, even if this exploitation wasn’t planned, they would’ve done it anyway, they’ve had more than 4 years of coordinated practice accusing others of what they do, and not letting a good crisis go to waste.

I don’t care what anyone is saying. The left now has the military, that was the final piece to their puzzle. There will be no resistance that won’t be squashed or painted as violent (even if it isn’t) by the media, any proof of fake news or crimes by the left will be censored and the masses will go right along with it, believing the next version of the “existential threat” that gets recycled every so many tears.

True fascism and tyranny that they accused Trump of for 4 years is about to be implemented (for real) on anyone who does not evangelize their new religion and profess their faith.

      Interesting times lay ahead.

It ain’t over ’till it’s over my friends….

As always, great post JHK. Thank you.

    • Rodster January 8, 2021 at 10:42 am #

I’m afraid it’s over my friend. Many in the past including JHK have said Trump would unleash all kinds of damning information on swamp creatures and have them put behind bars. It never happened. Many are now saying Trump will fight to the end. I seriously doubt that.

If anything Trump may pardon himself because the Swamp wants him charged for what happened at the Capitol and put behind bars.

      • MrMangoOnMyShoulder January 8, 2021 at 10:50 am #

“the Swamp wants him charged for what happened at the Capitol and put behind bars.”

        Which is ludicrous, of course.

If he had said, “C’mon everyone! Let’s storm the Capitol building…freeeeedom!!”, then they would have a point.

But…no. Sadly for the swamp, he said “come gather peacefully”, and then when they stirred up he said “Hey – time to go home, folks.”

The only people to be charged are the people who actually committed any crimes in doing said storming. Of course, in the potential Bizarro America of the near future, who the hell knows if logic will be worth much to most. Especially those in power.

        • MaryV January 8, 2021 at 11:32 am #

The media of course are reporting ad nauseam that he has urged a breach of the capitol. I asked one of the people repeating the garbage for an exact quote from him and of course she couldn’t provide it. Reminds me of when he commented that vaccines are disinfectant (they are), the media reported he had suggested drinking bleach.

Our mainstream media are destroying this country and they know exactly what they are doing.

I listened to his speech live and in no way shape or form did he incite a riot. But when has DC or the MSM let facts get in the way?

          • elysianfield January 8, 2021 at 12:13 pm #

Yesterday, I posted the transcript of the entire speech…it was not an incitement to riot…but we do not control the narrative.

” I guess we’ll have to stand by and find out.”

Our Host is being optimistic…we will only hear a constant drum beat of negative reportage regarding Trump and the current issues and, perhaps, vague, furtive rumors from the unwashed.

We are well and truly fucked.

          • Night Owl January 8, 2021 at 6:12 pm #

I have said it from the start. The McMedia is the greatest threat, because all channels of mass communication are controlled.

Trump made a video telling supporters to remain peaceful, and Twatter removed it claiming it would incite violence.

            Everything is inversion.

If this fraudulent result ends up standing, the US is done. They are going to ensure there is no possibility whatsoever for a populist candidate to rise.

The voter fraud system alone makes voting pointless. Every spineless jellyfish who enabled this is responsible, and in the end, many of them will suffer as well — because we are all in the peon class.

Great Reset time, kids. Fuck all of you who brought this on.

        • rlread52 January 8, 2021 at 12:32 pm #

He actually said ““We’re going to walk down to the Capitol and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators and Congressmen and women… to fight… we will never give up, we will never concede… explosions of bullshit.” He said “we – march” at least 5 times then he fled after inflaming the mob who marched and foamed and went crazy where 5 were killed. That’s why it’s termed fomenting. The blood is on his and your hands.

          • Bytes January 8, 2021 at 1:23 pm #

BS. Trump is not responsible for some who didn’t follow the law. What he said is not illegal. Nor should it be impeachable. But jerkoffs like you, of course, can’t comprehend that since you have hounded Trump the entire time he was in office. Disgusting, with blood on your hands = you.

But, JHK wrote a VERY interesting column, chock-full of internet buzz that has eluded me, and I try to follow this stuff…

I read the other day that Trump had problems hiring good people there in DC because at his business he mostly hired family and people he trusted. In DC he pretty much could ONLY hire Swamp Creatures because they knew the system. Seems plausible, in that the Swamp Creatures did ZERO for him and our country.

        * * *

It does seem likely that ANTIFA & Co. infiltrated the MAGA rally and were instrumental in the worst of the (relatively mild) violence seen at the Capitol.

Also – weren’t you proud of all the Congresscritters who so bravely stood up to the protesters? Neither was I. They all hid in their respective basements, like children hiding from the Bogeyman.

They made sure Howie Hawkins and The Green Party we’re knocked off the ballots in many states. (Google it). No Jill Stein’s or Ralph Nader’s to put a turd in their electoral punch bowl this time!

They were taking no chances that The Greens could siphon off enough votes from Jumbled Joe to insure Trump possibly squeaking through.

      • Rodster January 8, 2021 at 10:50 am #

That’s been a LONG held belief of JHK that Trump would declassify information and have the “Swamp Creatures” arrested, put on trial and thrown in jail. It’s not going to happen.

The only thing I can see is that Trump won’t be at Joe Biden’s inauguration. And it would be fitting to mirror what Pelosi did by tearing up his speech during the SOTU.

The USSA is officially a joke and heading towards third world status, a Banana Republic. China must literally be laughing all the way to the bank because they will say Fuck You when Klaus Schwab, George Soros, Bill Gates and the others want them to go along with their Great Reset plans.

Yeah, except that’s not what he said. He never mentioned Biden or even the year. It was a carefully crafted statement that left a lot of wiggle room and was not legally conceding, true for both the tweets and recent videos. Trump is stalling for time for reasons currently unknown (fog of war).

Also, because something has not happened doesn’t mean it can’t or won’t happen. This thing could still go a number of directions and the mere fact that Piglosi and the rest of the scum are running around with their hair on fire speaks volumes. They are afraid of something.

The Congresscritters had the bejebus scared out of them Wednesday. They normally live well insulated from the anger and frustrations of the people they are supposed to represent. Those pissed off folks got way too close for comfort last week.

Now did they learn anything from the experience? Judging from their comments, nope. This is somehow all Trump’s fault; they feel themselves innocent despite their failures to look out for interests of their constituents. Slow learners, they are.

    • SW January 8, 2021 at 10:45 am #

Yes, we saw many Profiles in Courage as our fearless leaders lead the stampede to the “safe places.” Here’s a good quote from Glenn Greenwald:

“Perhaps many view it as more upsetting to see august members of Congress hiding in fear of a riot than to watch ordinary small-business owners weep as their multi-generational store burns to the ground. Undoubtedly, national reporters who spend much time in the Capitol and who have long-time friendships with Senators and House members are more horrified, far more so, by violent gangs in the Capitol rotunda than on the streets of Portland or Kenosha.”

He further makes the point that the Defund the Police crowd are furious that the police didn’t give them adequate protection, after denouncing Tom Cotton for suggesting the National Guard quell riots–now demand the National Guard show up to protect their precious hides and of course this was an insurrection, a coup but the CHAZ zone in Seattle was just one big happy street party!

      • Yohannon January 8, 2021 at 11:19 am #

I was thinking along the same lines as I watched video of Wednesday’s protestors touring the Capitol: Better take those paintings down before the next bunch get here! Good thing Wednesday’s event was a racist riot and not a peaceful protest.

Maybe they want to stop him from granting pardons to Edward Snowden and Julian Assange?

Add in pardoning himself and the entire Establishment would implode in one fell swoop. Throw in Wolf Blitzer’s and Jake Tapper’s and Rachel Maddow’s and Don Lemon’s and Joy Reid’s heads all exploding and, well, imagine that!

There are plenty of moves Trump could make in two weeks besides the above.

The Democrats and Pence and what is left of his cabinet KNOW he isn’t crazy, they simply fear what he can do with his power.

Of course, when he commuted Jonathan Pollard’s sentence a few weeks ago and Pollard flew to Israel and kissed the ground, I don’t think one of the stooges in the MSM bothered to mention THAT.

As to the ‘congresscritters’ hiding in the basement – please note this includes the Trumpian defenders – Hawley, Jordan, Gaetz, Gohmert etc etc. After all. these were ‘their people’ – they should have welcomed them, shouldn’t they?

    • aresolympus January 10, 2021 at 5:51 pm #

WHY? Because Trump has maniac followers who may think their criminal behavior will be forgiven by a pardon.

Pence can keep the seat warm for Biden just fine. He doesn’t shout about rigged elections. He didn’t follow Trump’s orders to deny state counts in the electoral college.

Pence is the one who some protestors were making death threats against. But I know, all violent Trump supports are antifa in costume.

The real insanity is why some capitol police seemed to help the rioters inside the capitol! What a crazy dangerous plan, presumably they are trump supporters hoping to stop the count after Pence failed.
https://twitter.com/christina_bobb/status/1347596278583197698 Capitol police open doors for the protestors. They stand aside and invite them inside.

Capitol police presumably Trump supporters? Can you say false flag, dumbass? Probably can’t spell it – but you can say it, right? Wake up.

  4. Mostly Disagreeable January 8, 2021 at 10:21 am #

Part of the fog is the hilarious grievance contests launched in the corporate press to further divide people: capitol stormers weren’t mowed down because they are protected by white supremacy. Their greatest fear is that the protesters of this summer and the protesters of January 6 have much in common, including enemies.

    • rainmaker January 8, 2021 at 10:33 am #

Maybe it’s time for the pat-riots, BLAM, and antifrack to team up and give “our govt” the heave ho.

    • MaryV January 8, 2021 at 11:35 am #

Great point. And what a ridiculous claim, given BLM’s free rein all summer to burn down businesses, terrorize neighborhoods in the middle of the night, kill people in its made-up ‘zones’.

      • abbybwood January 9, 2021 at 12:30 am #

Notice BLM is kind of silent right now (except for making demands to Biden?)

Why? Because all the various chapters of BLM all over the country are busy fighting “the founder/executive director” over all the multi-millions of $$ that flowed in last summer!

“We want our cut bitch!” (To paraphrase the fighting).

    • Tate January 8, 2021 at 7:52 pm #

Bernie Bros. pipe dream. Having enemies in common isn’t enough. We have too much otherwise not in common.

  5. Zoltar January 8, 2021 at 10:24 am #

And, of course, narration management: an “attempted coup” has taken place. If Biden/Harris take office an actual, successful coup will have been pulled off – nearly bloodless, except for a token martyr to make it appear that Trump has the blood on his hands.

I certainly do not call for violence, and it’s not clear that the violence of January 6th was committed by Trump supporters, but the assertion that everyone should simply have stayed home through this crucial transition begs the question of when, if ever, a call to defend democracy is warranted.

Our political system has been violated, perhaps beyond repair, and there is no longer any recourse for citizens through the sanctioned political process.

The atrocious Trump is no Founding Father, but he is an embodiment of today’s America and he’s what we’ve got.
Perhaps Paul Revere should have stayed home, or advised the citizens of Lexington and Concord to stay in their homes, because that’s where we are today.

As for evidence of paid performers and agitators employed to turn a demonstration into a mob scene, there is plenty of reason to believe it’s true – as it has been in numerous false flag events in recent years.

The evidence is already in that the violence, mild as it was, was not done by Trump supporters. Antifa were bussed in, lead the crowd to the capitol, and were probably the ones breaking the windows while the crowd can be heard telling them to stop doing that. Also, there is a serious question of reports that the police helped remove the barriers.

      • Beryl of Oyl January 8, 2021 at 10:40 am #

I heard the “violence” started when the Trump supporters were still over listening to his speech.

        • sophia January 9, 2021 at 3:32 pm #

I also heard that the barriers were opened at just the moment that evidence was to be presented – which interrupted those proceedings.

      • Zoltar January 8, 2021 at 10:44 am #

We agree on this initial information, Sophia. More evidence will be forthcoming, before those in control gradually suck it back into the memory hole, turning it all into a “conspiracy theory.”

      • Yohannon January 8, 2021 at 11:27 am #

There’s a clip of the Capital Police opening the little gate for the crowd.

That being said, our boys fell into it, with known Trump activists pouring in.

        • MaryV January 8, 2021 at 7:28 pm #

And yet, patriots are being investigated and arrested, but not the police who opened the barricades for them and led them in.

We are at a crossroads in the country.

The Left has said we need more government control to take care of all the people. Our wonderful leaders know how to do the job better than we do.

This is a totalitarian coup period. Due to humongous influx of really stupid children and illegal really stupid immigrants, we are at this juncture.

It is up to Patriots to fight back, (how), leave for a better place or secede. True Americans are going to find Amerika intolerable.

Leave the country to the scumbags that voted these suckers in.

I observe that both TX and FL are very open, not locked down hard. Hmm.

Looks like it’s maybe Liberty vs. Slavery that might define America’s politics now. More so, perhaps, than D vs. R, or Liberals vs. Conservatives. Maybe it really is one dimensional:

          Liberty vs. Slavery.

Abbywood I fear you are a few years too late. Masses of richies (many retirees) have moved in and sent real estate prices heavenward. All the good property has been snapped up and starting flipping.

I spent a vacation a few years back with my widowed brother-in-law, in a fine house just below Buchanan Dam. Wooded, quiet, near a main highway to Burnet and Austin.

I thought it would be great to live like that except that as in most of the Hill Country you are enslaved to your vehicle. Everything is at least 30 minutes away: grocery store, clinic, hardware emporium. Unless you want to live in one of the small cities or large towns, like New Braunfels, which is not such a bad notion either (given property prices).

It’s the nicest part of Texas, by far, and that includes the polite, relaxed, open friendliness of the locals. I’d pretty much forgotten all that, living years in Asia.

JHK – Just like all your columns this past year, virtually every sentence starts with, “it is rumored”. Why don’t you stop writing until just one of those rumors becomes true, or one of those ‘bombshells’ of evidence actually shows up, or one of the investigations actually results in a legal charge of something.

Catharsis — “Why…” Because events are moving fast, and maybe you didn’t notice that I said we were in a fog of war and it’s not so easy to discern what the truth is… so I am reporting it as rumor. — JHK Admin

All the people you talk to and cite appear to be clueless, with a zero track record, making you look silly too. You are letting your anger (justified or not) rule your intellect. Write about the world as it is, rather than the one your id wishes was real.

    • benr January 8, 2021 at 10:31 am #

Since you have said this at least two other times why don’t you take that as a sign that this is what has his creative juices flowing and just deal with it?
Read it enjoy it or discount it and move on with your day.

Telling the man in a nice way to shut up over and over obviously is not going to work.

    • Zoltar January 8, 2021 at 10:32 am #

No, catharsis. You are the clueless one, if you think those now in control are likely to permit rumors of this sort to be substantiated.

If we all believed, as you do, that the corporate press is providing us “the world as it is,” then we would be truly lost.

    • Mostly Disagreeable January 8, 2021 at 10:42 am #

The corporate press spends its energies constructing just-so narratives. It is one’s civic duty to construct counternarratives to tease out an approximation of the truth. Comparing narratives also reveals what narrators value.

    • Beryl of Oyl January 8, 2021 at 10:42 am #

That’s what reporting is. If there are rumors, you report that there are rumors.

      • Redneck Liberal January 10, 2021 at 6:43 pm #

Journalism is guided by five values:

        Honesty: journalists must be truthful. It is unacceptable to report information known to be false, or report facts in a misleading way to give a wrong impression;

        Independence and objectivity: journalists should avoid topics in which they have a financial or personal interest that would provide them a particular benefit in the subject matter, as that interest may introduce bias into their reporting, or give the impression of such bias. In cases where a journalist may have a specific financial or personal interest, the interest should be disclosed;

        Fairness: journalists must present facts with impartiality and neutrality, presenting other viewpoints and sides to a story where these exist. It is unacceptable to slant facts;

        Diligence: a journalist should gather and present pertinent facts to provide a good understanding of the subject reported;

Accountability: a journalist must be accountable for their work, prepared to accept criticism and consequences

        Nothing about reporting rumors…

    • shotho January 8, 2021 at 10:44 am #

There is obviously a lot of wishful thinking going on as the power elites actually make things happen.

    • catharsis January 8, 2021 at 10:54 am #

I emphasize this because constantly reporting rumors creates a false reality. That’s how propaganda works,
After 50 states of both parties, various intelligence services, including the presidents own appointees, and 60 courts all said that there is no evidence that the election was fraudulent, JHK today restates that it was – with no proof beyond rumors that ‘some people saw votes disappearing.’
This leads believers of those rumors to storm the capitol, leading to 5 deaths and political crisis.
The repetition of false rumors is standard authoritarian tactics, and it works – see burning of the Reichstag.
I mean really – people at the storming said they were to find the pedophiles that run the country.
JHK needs to own and examine his part in stirring this pot – that’s why I have epeatedly mentioned it.

      • JohnAZ January 8, 2021 at 11:31 am #

Do you believe all the fair election BS being shoveled by the Dems because a contingent of bought off judges afraid for their jobs ignore hundreds of foul play affidavits?

These are not rumors, only to the advocates of Amerika.

      • benr January 8, 2021 at 12:11 pm #

Simple Simon talking about propaganda and then engaging in such and VERY poorly I might add.

One must be willfully ignorant to post the drivel you just posted.
The proof is several HUNDRED people going on record saying they SAW IT! Signed and under penalty of perjury!
The changing of election rules in the middle of an election!
The refusal to allow poll workers to watch the voting counts!
        Pizza boxes on the windows!
Actual live video of poll counters pushing the same ballot output back into input over and over then looking around attempting to make sure they are not being paid attention to!
States with votes 139% of actual registered voters!

        You are a tool.

        • B_NOLA January 8, 2021 at 3:57 pm #

Constantly reporting rumors as truth is what creates a false reality. I respect our host for his honesty regarding the provenance of the information he passes on. Want certainty? Tune in to the MSM. Absolutely not a shred of doubt there to tarnish the narrative! They will supply you with nonsense that hasn’t even been hyped up to the level of rumor all day, but once spewed from the mouths of these talking heads it is pure unadulterated truth. Consume enough of that and I’d be reaching for an emetic too.

      • MaryV January 8, 2021 at 7:41 pm #

No. Please learn what propaganda is.

Propaganda takes a falsity and proclaims it as fact.

Which is not what JHK is doing. At all. He mentions rumors, and things he’s heard. He TELLS you that. That is not propaganda.

      • kendar667 January 8, 2021 at 7:43 pm #

You can’t actually believe there is no evidence of voter fraud can you? Just in case you are not trolling, here is one of many links summarizing all of the shenanigans. Some of these guys like The Armistad Project literally have hundreds of pages of affidavits and other proof.

Also, Peter Navarro’s The Immaculate Deception is a good break-down of the statistical impossibilities. BTW, no court decided any case based on merits, all cases were tossed for things like standing or case was filed too late, etc. That’s another way of saying, “we ain’t gonna touch this hot potato”

Biden’s Inauguration is turning into a farce.

There won’t be hundreds of thousands of woke, weeping kooks on The Mall. It will be on Zoom in a cozy room so Biden can use a TelePrompTer to say the oath. Even with Sotomayer repeating it one word at a time he’d ef it up.

Due to The Magic Virus, the entire affair will be contained. No parade, no walking down Constitution Avenue (because Jumbled Joe isn’t physically capable of a brisk walk like that), no “Ball” with Doctor Jill all prettied up and Carmalita and hubby doing the Freaky dance together.

Nope. This will be the weirdest Inauguration in US history. Too bad I’ll have to miss it.

Well, it is pretty chilly in January and doubt ole Joe can tolerate much of that. So he stays warm and gets to use a teleprompter for the oath and speech. Wonder if he will be able to deliver a coherent speech by the 20th?

As I recall the Golem became an uncontrollable monster, spreading death, destruction, and havoc all over the place. Is that how our story ends?

I don’t like saying this, but if Trump couldn’t make a significant dent in draining the swamp in four years, he’s not about to open a big can of whoop-ass now. The man is all talk, insults, and zingers flung on Twitter. When it comes to action – not so good.

My God, it took him two years to figure out Sessions was worthless. Then it took him another 2 years to figure out Barr was worthless. As a Boss, Trump was a faster learner and judge of employee value on his TV show. What happened? Yes, it’s all a fog. Maybe one day someone can sort it all out.

Uh, when he looked at his talent pool for selecting his cabinet, all he saw were Deep Staters. The real cabinet, his family, were the only folks he could trust, hence they were integral.

The lesson that should be learned here is that the tentacles of the Deep State are everywhere. There is no escaping the web that has been cast by Dems and RINOs over the past thirty years.

Basically that is what Ann Coulter wrote about Trump this week. I don’t buy the propaganda about his being the best economy US had pre-Covid. I did support him immigration and border prrotection, China trade, and efforts to restore manufacturing in the U.S. but overall his policies were well within the “old abnormal”. He missed a great opportunity to stop Russia drifting toward China. He was clueless on the importance of Russia as a world player and supplier of energy. He should have appointed Ike’s granddaughter, Susan Eisenhower, as a Sec of State. She would have been an exquisite diplomat that would have brought instant polish into the administration. Trump’s focus on Obamacare was politically stupid and motivated by idiotic obsession to “undo” the signature achievement of the previous administration. If he bothered to look, he would have found that the ACA failed not because Americans do not want comprehensive state-run health plan, but precisely because Obama chickened out of the much needed market control. Three quarters of Americans want public option, and two-thirds Medicare for all. Trump could have bested Obama had he modified the health care to add public option. He would have crushed the Senate opposition corrupted by the big AMA and Big Pharma lobbies, and taken the wind out of Pelosi’s sails before the 2018 congressional election. (Incidentally, the first state-run health plan saw the light in Germany in 1883, being brought in by the most right-wing government the Kaiser years ever had, that of Bismarck’s Junkers. Yet, Bismarck figured that creating a benevolent health care system (and later Social Security) would weaken the opposition of the Socialists and Catholic Christian Democrats, which it did in a spectacular fashion. The Catholics were crushed; the Socialists went enthusiastically to fight for Kaiser in 1914. Further, one of the early promises by “Trump”, to hike taxes to reduce the Treasury debt, and begin rebuilding the infrastructure, also went AWOL. Instead, Trump reduced the corporate rate, and boosted the military spending at a clip of four times the GDP growth. Stupid, idiotic policy, no doubt Kushner’s & Ivanka’s doing.

      • shotho January 8, 2021 at 1:23 pm #

This is a sound analysis without any of the histrionics that go on here. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but you would think that Trump would have seen, himself, some of what you’re talking about; too late now, much too late.

      • Redneck Liberal January 10, 2021 at 7:22 pm #

I have to join with shotho in praising this analysis.

You’re so right, particularly with regard to the healthcare debacle – Trump’s obsession with the efforts to”repeal & replace” the ACA was a loser from the start, and neither the WH nor the GOP could come up with anything like the promised “beautiful plan, at a fraction of the cost” (which would have been impossible anyway). Any reading of the will of the wider populace would have shown that adding the public option to Medicare would have been the smartest possible move. However, Trump is not famous for doing the smart thing – viz. Wednesday.

The Fog of War is an apt description of what is going on. Ya know, over the last two days my phone has been ringing off of the hook by people asking me “what should I do?” After all, I picked up and moved out of SoCal this year about two weeks before the lockdown to “flatten the curve”. I told anyone that would listen that I thought that these upcoming lockdowns would be forever and would destroy our economy and I also told anyone that would listen that the election would be a Goat Rodeo of epic proportions.

It breaks my heart to see friends and associates trapped in L.A. The very same people that screeched and howled about Orange Hitler now find themselves in a looted city with the homeless everywhere and no police to be found. All the trendy restaurants and boutiques are now closed forever and even if they wanted to reopen would never be able to afford the insurance which has now increased by 400%.

They tell me that gunfire is common now and that they are afraid to even set foot outside of their door. Now, imagine how fearful they will be when the caravans flood the border (which will happen) to get the free education, free healthcare and reparations promised by their leadership.

Was it worth destroying the economy to hurt Trump? Well, these guys I’m talking about didn’t care one bit. They are fairly well off and didn’t think that hurting the “little guy” would in any way ever affect them. Guess again. They turned LA into Tijuana but not as nice.

Should I move? Where should I go? Are my investments safe? Where can I buy a gun? How should I store water? Should I buy Bitcoin?

I get these calls all day now from the “resistance” that now realizes that they’ve been thrown under the bus. They were forced to give up everything so that Sleepy Joe (a racist and rapist) can now throw open the border, raise their taxes and lock them down forever. But, hey, $600, right????

I can tell you this: as someone that has worked in media for over two decades, were I to have control over the levers of propaganda, I could make the population believe anything. It is easy to do. Hell, I could make you believe that altering your DNA using an untested and dangerous drug was the best way to fight an illness with a 99.98% survival rate. After all, the public was made to believe that Bruce Jenner was a woman (woman of the year!) because he put a dress on and, voila! he’s now a woman.

One in particular is colchicine a medication used to help sufferers of gout.
Neighbor and I were talking and he told me he used to pay $110 for a bottle of 10 and now pays $22.

America has to be refounded with new borders. No one man could have drained the swamp. And he didn’t really try and/or had no idea who he should have hired. Maybe no one. Literally there simply aren’t enough people of integrity who make it to that level.

Nor even at the State level. Where to get good people? Maybe large Church leaders who are used to dealing with lots of money, management and know other countries? Both Protestant and Catholic.

Now comes the response. Time will reveal the exact nature it takes and, if done correctly, to by revealed only upon execution. Time to sit tight, observe and plan. The last part of OODA will wait for the appropriate impetus.
The immediate fiscal future of bailing out renters, mortgages, cities etc..will quickly overwhelm the system. The ability of media to obscure, excuse or explain as to why THIS time is different will fail with even the dullest of the woke gen. Three choices. Let them go bankrupt and dig themselves out of it.

Put off their payments by law and watch 2008 happen again, this time with no possibility of recovery.

Hit the taxpayers again with trillions of more debt dollars.

      Eventually the money runs out.

What does Biden want to do?

Raise taxes, forgive student debt (another 2008 bubble), spend trillions on useless GND programs (watch Planets of the Humans again), nationalize healthcare (remember the VA fiasco), spend trillions on useless infrastructure (remember shovel ready).

As I fully expected nothing much of great import happened in Washington this week. Josh Howley’s wife and baby were harassed by thugs, and police said it was no big deal. . The rustics came, cheered the Chief and most of them stayed out of the trouble he dog-whistled to them. A female Trump zealot was shot by trigger-happy Capitol cop. The Ghost was not given up but confirmed as the next POTUS after a short interlude with smashed windows and tear gas. Kamala Harris, the ever-ready utility race baiter said there would have many more cops and a massacre on Capitol Wednesday had the white supremacy terrorists been dark-skinned blm protesters instead. Nancy and Jack are wasting more time drafting impeachment articles. Trump promised an orderly transition from now on. The universe is unfolding as it should.

Anyone who saw Nancy Pelosi’s press conference (with her enormous flowered mask) and Joe Biden’s mini-rant before introducing Garland can believe for an instant they want “to heal the country and bring us together” — I retch. Both are so full of vitriol and self-righteous anger that it’s impossible to miss. Biden was yelling “don’t you dare call them protestors!!! DON’T YOU DARE!!!” I dread what’s coming with this bunch.

I noted the same thing myself. The tone and tenor of the remarks by Beijing Biden and Crazy Nancy spoke far more loudly than the actual wording of their remarks. These are people who are utterly driven by their emotions, (like most Libtards), and thus subject to act out and make poor decisions in the heat of the moment. We have a right to fear what they may be capable of doing. These two are not exactly the kind of timber you want to build your national house from.

I don’t know about others here, but as a young man I learned many good lessons in the School of Hard Knocks. One of the most important ones is that I have *never* made a good decision when I was boiling mad. So, over time, I’ve learned not to try to render important decisions until I have vented all of my angst and calmed the hell down. Then, and only then, in moments of calm and sober deliberation, do I render important decisions. This discipline has served me well. It’s a damn shame most of our politicians do not follow a similar code.

      • benr January 8, 2021 at 2:39 pm #

Even more to the point don’t speak out of anger.

They could use that piece of advice from you but I doubt they want it. It’s frightening that Pelosi has such an iron grip on the House that she can start the process to ram thru articles of impeachment — again.

Haven’t the American people been thru enough?! It’s purely self-indulgent, pointless theater but according the evening news, 230 congresspoddles are with her.

The attack on the Capital was nothing more nor less than a mob of these lawless loons acting out.

    End of story.

    • tahoe1780 January 8, 2021 at 11:45 am #

Multiple things happened that day. 10’s (100’s?) of thousands of people marched, peacefully, in the street and only 100 or so broke into the building (mostly peaceful?) There is video of a portion of the crowd booing and chanting “stop antifa” at some people breaking windows. There are pictures and video of known BLM and Antifa agitators in the building. I (we) don’t know how many other anti-Trumpers infiltrated the crowd.

When something like this happens, you have to ask “Cui Bono?” Who benefits? The violence (I’m certainly not condoning it) started just as the evidence of vote fraud was about to be presented to Congress and the American people. That was halted. The side wishing to present it never got their day in court. So, was this a false flag (like so many others, i.e. Russiagate)? Who benefits?

I fear that Yamamoto’s quote is appropriate here. Those denied a hearing will not go away quietly.

      • Yohannon January 8, 2021 at 12:02 pm #

And known Trump supporters in the building too. Happy fools who will pay dearly for those moments of triumph.

But yes, this isn’t going to end. By their actions, they have confirmed our allegations 100%.

        • abbybwood January 8, 2021 at 3:39 pm #

But as Anderson Cooper noted, “All those Trump terrorists who stormed the Capitol then made it to safety will go back to The Olive Garden and their Holiday Inns for drinks and high five what a great day it was!”

As he flipped the end of his nose with his finger.

Tucker Carlson was right last night when he played this statement by Anderson Cooper then commented that The Establishment hates the Deplorables because this is a class war.

We will never catch Anderson Cooper eating at The Olive Garden, high end Italian for The Deplorables and their ilk.

Tucker mentioned that they had Olive Garden food brought in for everyone on the set.

  34. Helix January 8, 2021 at 11:46 am #

And your evidence for saying this is…. Bupkas.

There has been ample time for those thinking they have evidence that the election was fraudulent to post their evidence. So far, the “evidence” I’ve seen seems a bit… thin. Time to put up or shut up, fellas, although I expect you to do neither.

Having said that, we all have an interest in fair elections, so if there is reason to suspect irregularities, I’m all in favor of pursuing them fully and, if irregularities are found, to prosecute those responsible to the full extent of the law.

And I also agree that the Democrats have played their part in this charade. The “Russian Collusion” gambit came to nothing, but Rachael Maddow continues to push the story. The Impeachment proceeding that was notably vague on exactly which “high crimes and misdemeanors” were at issue.

Disingenuousness on all sides. We are truly fucked.

    • Yohannon January 8, 2021 at 12:06 pm #

          • sterow January 9, 2021 at 5:12 am #

My point was that even if there were some antifa / BLM in the crowd egging them on (dubious to say the least), if “people [are] responsible for their actions” then that should apply to the right wing types arrested, regardless of what these (imaginary) antifa types were doing to encourage them. I was pointing out the internal inconsistency of the arguments here.

Unless you are saying it was *entirely* antifa, which is just deranged as so many of the people have been quickly indietified and tied to various right wing groups.

            Here, for example. https://www2.ca3.uscourts.gov/opinarch/203371np.pdf

            That took 30 seconds.

(And before you counter that the merits findings in that case are narrow – that’s because the Trump case put was narrow. In other words, there was so little put that there was little to respond to).

But you show me your links. I’d be really interested, as I posted in another post here, to see you link to what you think is the most persuasive court filing pro-Trump lawyers have posted in support of election fraud.

“To my knowledge, all cases were dismissed on procedural issues, not merit.”

I keep reading this but it’s just not so. Here’s just one judgment:

Federal District Judge Brett H. Ludwig, a Trump nominee who took the bench in September, dismissed a lawsuit filed by the president that sought to throw out the election results in Wisconsin, calling the request “extraordinary.”

“A sitting president who did not prevail in his bid for reelection has asked for federal court help in setting aside the popular vote based on disputed issues of election administration, issues he plainly could have raised before the vote occurred,” he wrote. “This Court has allowed plaintiff the chance to make his case and he has lost on the merits.

Trump asked for the rule of law to be followed, Ludwig noted, adding: “It has been.”

Aside from this fact, yes, there were many cases that were dismissed on standing (‘procedural issues’), but “STANDING” is the very first thing to be established. How can all these teams of super-lawyers keep getting that basic fact wrong? Hardly awe-inspiring.

Thanks Jim. This is a very dangerous time in the country. The future of the economy which is heavily oil dependent, will affect how much instability will occur going forward. Our society is based on these complex, interdependent relationships of power groups & institutions. There is little faith in any institution. In fact, economic or political reform appears to be non existent on any serious level. Its largely all become theatrical. We have become a clownish, deranged society, run by a government which decides policy by make believe, and extremist ideologies that denies objective reality. It’s a scary time.

  38. akmofo January 8, 2021 at 12:23 pm #

The DNC/RINO/Deep State/MSM criminal mafia is run by the CIA, a Vatican front. The Vatican via the Jesuits and their Secret Societies and Secret Agencies has centuries long agenda/program to reverse the Enlightenment movement and to return the world back to Roman feudal oligarchy. That’s what they’ve been doing and that is what is being done and what we are witnessing.

    Progressivism = Satanism = Anti-Bible = Antisemitism = Communism = Socialism = Fascism = Nazism = NWO = Globalism = Imperialist Feudal Oligarchy = Romanism = VATICAN

It’s a simple equation. I laid it out to you before. But you refuse to see and understand it and seek the truth. You refuse to see recognize and understand your enemy, and that is why you will continue to fall victim to him.

Many of you are familiar with “Sun Tzu” The Art of War. What you don’t know is that “Sun Tzu” never existed. The text was written by the Jesuits. That’s who you have business with. We all do.

The Chinese people have the same problem we all do. They are living under a foreign occupation of the Communist Party, spawned and sponsored by the Vatican/Jesuits. The ChiComs were given aid and comfort by General George Marshall, the U.S. Secretary of State, at the expense of the Chinese nationalist Chiang Kai-shek. Know your history, Vlad.

Was/is QAnon of the same opinion?

Trump hired known Vatican/CFR/Trilaterals/Bilderberg/Skull&Bones agents, including his Chiefs of Staff. They all “betrayed” him and the people, as was perfectly expected. He knew who and what these people were, but he hired them anyway. Why?

We are witnessing scripted theater, but at least Trump has provided us a glimpse of what’s behind the curtains, and how vast and deep and global the conspiracy truly is.

Looks like you guys lost. The coup attempt was a larp (Live Action Role Playing) once the capitol building was breached it was just a trophy hunt and selfie session. You don’t have the votes or enough committed warm bodies to hold any real on the ground perception of power.

You have lost messaging. All the imagery from DC is pretty damning. You guys pissed on the symbolism. Most of the people that entered the capitol will be snagged up by the system and will be made an example of. This is not the same as burning down a Wendys or whatever they do in Portland.

Our Reality TV Star President should have seen this coming. He should have understood that the people descending on Washington were not coming to peacefully chant and hold signs. They were coming to vent their anger on an election process that had all the appearances of being fixed, fraudulent and downright an injustice.

Were these crowds infiltrated by Antifa and paid actors that were cordially invited into the Capital by the Capital Police to commit destruction and take cherished selfies? He should have seen that coming too.

Or did Trump read the script of the epic battle in the 9th episode of the series. The script where his adversaries McConnell, Schumer and Pelosi get to wax poetic on the threats to the heart of the republic, to the soul of our very democracy that they were tasked by the American public to protect.

    Talk about Blowback.

Trump just wanted to leave a parting gift to the deep state. Photos taken inside the capitol indicate that the White unarmed female Trump supporter who was shot, was killed by a black police officer. Do you think she’ll get five funerals and a gold coffin? Not likely. If she had been a black BLM rioter, you would be able to measure the height of the NYT headline in inches. On page one of today’s Wall Street Journal, there is an article “CEO’s fire rioters, condem violence” They seem to have been very quick in identifying participants. I don’t recall them expending much effort in ID’ing BLM and Antifa rioters last summer. I think this is part and parcel of JHK’s “Long emergency”. The comming civil war will be an ever deeper swirl around the bowl, before the final flush. More like Syria or Afganistan than Antietam or Gettysburg.

    • scrooge January 8, 2021 at 1:20 pm #

blah blah blah what about this what about that. She was breaking into a restricted area protected by armed people. Did you folks not think someone was going to get shot?

Good thing Trump passed enhanced laws to deal with rioters.

      • Jigplate January 8, 2021 at 1:24 pm #

Rioting is rioting. My comment concerned the massive differential in how both sides are treated. This has not gone un-noticed.

        • benr January 8, 2021 at 2:21 pm #

          What got lit on fire?
What was destroyed down to the ground?
When asked to leave did they stay for months and build barricades?
The narrative is very different as is the response.
Had Trump gatherings destroyed anything before?
Nope in fact they tended to leave an area cleaner than when it started.

Is the Trump movement funded by Soros did they drop pallets of bricks everywhere?
Were they pepper spraying cops and security?
Some people got swept up in the moment of the Antifa Psyop and will be dealt with.
Those that do get brought to justice should get some serious community service along with the Felony they will be getting.
Are these people also going to get bailed out by celebrities…nope.
Is there a fund set aside by Open society for legal fees…Nope.

Stop crying about BLM and antifa as both movements are well funded and not out for the best interest of Americans or America.

        • freetrapper January 9, 2021 at 2:27 pm #

Indeed the sides are treated unequally. How many people would have been shot if this had been an overwhelmingly black crowd? Would any of them have made it into the building?

I am a sceptic of some of what’s behind BLM, but on the other hand there is no doubt in my mind that if Babbitt were surrounded by black friends, she would have had a lot of company in death, and long before she tried to ape herself into the inner chamber.

    • Wizard of the Saddle January 8, 2021 at 2:46 pm #

I agree with all of these observations. This is the part that gets me. The Left decided in 2016 that they are soooooo butt-hurt over Hillary’s loss that they would throw out the rules book and do whatever it takes, by fair means of foul, to obstruct, resist, and oust the Bad Orange Man and to suppress his supporters.

As it turns out, this required mostly foul means, including setting up a two-tiered injustice system wherein Leftwing criminals are rarely arrested; always released on a no-cash bail; and never prosecuted. But let a Rightwing person so much as shoot the finger at a cop and he will be clapped in irons; dragged to the nearest prison; denied bail; and prosecuted in a kangaroo court and will be handed a long prison sentence.

Well, people are not stupid. Do this enough times and they figure out that the game is rigged and that the government that they pay taxes to will no longer protect them unless they hold ideas that the government approved of.

This is why the incident at the Capitol happened. When you shit on half the people like this, they eventually decide that some payback is in order. I’m not saying I want to see such chaos, but I understand what has driven people to such desperate actions.

      • Yohannon January 8, 2021 at 4:38 pm #

    • Mostly Disagreeable January 8, 2021 at 4:12 pm #

I’ve watched several videos of the shooting. Coming up the stairs behind the victim were about 5 police with guns raised. The shooter’s angle let him see two people trying to charge up and over a broken window and a bunch of raised weapons but not who was holding them. He must have concluded that heavily armed rioters were coming in. It was an accident.

Somewhere in the fog above, we saw purported connection “The Society Of Jesuits” with “Sun Tzu” a Chinese General circa AD 540.

Ignatius de Loyola founded the Jesuits Society circa mid 1500’s AD.

Can the esteemed Web Master determine there is actually a 1000 year separation between the Chinese Philosopher and the Renaissance era movement? Along with interested seekers of wisdom hereabouts.

      • Yohannon January 8, 2021 at 4:44 pm #

Go to a bookstore and just peruse the introductions to various editions of Sun Tzu. He lived long ago. And to further douse your silly flame, there is a VAST commentarial tradition on SunTzu’s Art of War. Are all of them Jesuits too? Some of them were famous generals whom we know a lot about and not just obscure scholars or Taoist (Sun Tzu is claimed by the Taoists) hermits.

While I’ve got you, check out “Unrestricted Warfare” on Amazon (or google it), the Chinese Plan to undermine the United States without firing a shot. Sun Tzu for the 21st century. Israel is down with the program – our bestest ally!

I think you can download it if you’re interested.

        • akmofo January 8, 2021 at 6:39 pm #

Communist China is very very bad news, and you know I said so many many times. Israelis are on same wavelength as I. We understand what China is and what it wants. We also know what Communism/Socialism/Nazism/Fascism is very well. We lived and suffered that horror more than most people on Earth. Israel is the America’s best friend and President Trump knows it, even if you don’t. We naturally abhor tyranny. Netanyahu congratulating Biden was a diplomatic necessity, nothing more than that.

Yes, Vlad, I understood from day one that the ChiCom/CIA virus was a ploy to destroy small family businesses and take over their market share by globalist mega corporations.

Sun Tzu is the Black Pope. The Jesuits introduced Sun Tzu to the world. It is it is wholly their creation and their modus operandi.

And no it’s not about Catholics, but about the Vatican. That rotten Satanic institution needs to pass from this world. Yesterday!

          Nice zinger.

The handle is borrowed from a (now sadly deceased) writer for whom I have a great deal of respect, one Joe Bageant. He was raised in northern Virginia (Winchester) in a large clan of Pentecostal Christian types but escaped in his late teens. So, while he got a long and deep education (rendering him a despised ‘liberal’), he remained a ‘redneck’ in all other respects.

If you’d like to read some truly eloquent writing on modern politics (that certainly rivals JHK at his best) then try this opening para:

          Drink, Pray, Fight, Fuck
January 26, 2005- How the Scots Irish Screwed Up America

          By Joe Bageant

You may not meet them among your circle of friends, but there are millions of Americans who fiercely believe we should nuke North Korea and Iran, seize the Middle East’s oil, and replace the U.S. Constitution with the Christian Bible. They believe the United States will conquer the entire world and convert it to our notions of democracy and fundamentalist Christian religion. And that will happen says my Christian neo-conservative friend Dave Henderson, “when we elect a man with the balls to use our nukes.” You may not believe me, and if you don’t I cannot blame you for never having been exposed to such folks. Only an idiot or a masochistic observer of the American scene would subject himself or herself to these Americans. I like to think I am the latter, but the jury is still out.

  49. Wizard of the Saddle January 8, 2021 at 1:53 pm #

Like everyone else here, I’ve been digesting all that has transpired in this past week and reflecting on the past 4 years, and I am left deeply depressed by my conclusions which are as follows:

    1) Both of our political parties are morally bankrupt and don’t give a damn about this country or the people who inhabit it. Almost without exception, the people who populate the elected offices of our state and federal governments are narcissistic scum who care only about themselves and everyone knows it.

    2) The United States government is financially bankrupt. It is only a matter of time before all of the Ponzi schemes of Wall Street, the Fed, and the BitCoin shysters collapse, leaving all of us to scramble for meager resources in the smoking ruins of the economy that will remain. The Dollar, of course, is doomed. Hyperinflation is just a matter of time and the savings of everyone will be destroyed unless you have had the foresight to stash away a little gold an silver buried in your backyard.

    3) This country is already in a de facto “civil war.” The origins can be traced all the way back to 1865 when the last one ended, but the current conflict really got underway in a serious way after Trump won the election of 2016. That is when the Democrats, academia, Hollywood, Wall Street, the mainstream media, disgruntled RINOS, the Bush crime family, the Clinton crime family, the military-industrial complex, and pretty much everyone else who profits from the “established” corrupt system, decided to flush our Constitution down the commode and stop at nothing – and I mean nothing – to deny Trump and his nationalist/populist movement, the opportunity to drain the swamp and restore the political, social, and economic greatness that this country used to enjoy, once upon a time.

    4) There really are “Two America’s” with utterly irreconcilable worldviews and this new civil war will not end until one side is completely triumphant and the other is utterly crushed. Sorry, but there will be no Great Compromise nor a truce. It’s been “game on” now for 5 years and counting and things are getting worse by the minute.

Just in the past week alone we have had Congressmen almost coming to blows on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives; an invasion of the Capitol Building by frustrated MAGA patriots fed up with the fraud, corruption, and lack of institutional response to correct any of it; and a planeload of people yelling and screaming at each other about the fraudulent election; etc., etc. Just GOOGLE, and you’ll find examples of this type of unprecedented unrest chronicled all over America.

Things are rapidly getting worse with each passing day and each fresh new outrage simply escalates things further. It feels like events are beginning to spiral out of control during the “Dark Winter” of 2020-21. (Just as happened during the Secession Winter of 1860-61.

I will stop here, as this post is already getting too long, but needless to say, 2021 is shaping up to be another sorrowful year.

    • Yohannon January 8, 2021 at 4:54 pm #

You can be sure that all their checks are either on the way or already safely deposited in their bank accounts. There was nothing organic or unexpected about this staged performance. Everyone played their role perfectly. The Right People got all the optics They wanted. The Corporate Media all foamed with teleprompter-driven righteous outrage and indignation and finger-wagging at all those nasty “traitorous” people that “trashed” the “hallowed, sacred ground” of a place of routine governmental sacrilege and malfeasance. Sorry, drama queens. There is little that is sacred or holy about a place where everyone who works there is bought-and-paid for and very well compensated by the deep-pocketed money interests that routinely leave their money on our “representatives” beds. Sort of like common street walkers who preach to you about morals and ethics as they do their deed. Rings a bit hollow and comical.

“For the moment all is fog and noise.”

This sentence describes much more than the sorry state of American governmental affairs. This fully describes the entire age in which we are living. Everything is shrouded in fog. Misty. Murky. Dark. Most people are walking around in a fog with their face diapers wokely positioned to proclaim their status in good standing in the Covid Cult of Wokedom.

We have many years of dense fog ahead of us. People and institutions stumbling around in the dark while proclaiming all is well and we’re all in this together. Well, regardless of how many times they sing this garbage from their same hymn book… all is NOT well and we are most certainly NOT all in “This” together.

    Villages get vanquished.
    Countries too.

At least the villages typically have the benefit of marshaling against an intruding force.

No so now. This country was consumed from within.

    Real need for grief counseling.

    This isn’t anything new.

My sympathies are with your South African friend. There is a lesson in all of this. Retreat to another country is a bad option. If the Left can dispossess you of one country, they can dispossess you of another. Running from country to country won’t work – especially if you are an American. We are pretty much to the Right of every other country on the planet. So if you hate our domestic Libtards, wait until you get a load of the ones running places like Australia, New Zealand, most Euro countries, etc.

Like it or not, we are backed into a corner. Like Josey Wales once famously said, it’s time to get “mad dog mean.” The alternative is losing and possibly death.

My parents are Cuban exiles. I have seen this coming for years. I work with over-educated Democrats and they don’t get it. I’ve never understood how they don’t see that the modern democrat party is Marxist. They all deny it and think I’m crazy. They say I’m blinded by emotion. We (Cubans) know how they operate. Unfortunately, it seems they always win. This is religion to them. I’m emotionally drained and we have no place left to escape to.

Something precipitated the supposed planned objections by some Republicans.

Something that would make more “disorder” and more strident opposition more distasteful.

    That was convenient.

James, I hope you’re right about our President’s intentions, & that the ‘Golden Golem of Greatness’ is up to the task, but I fear he has the golem’s feet of clay. To do what actually needs to be done is almost beyond comprehension. In any event, we’ll all know soon enough whether he takes action to prevent the Pretender’s ascension.

This country has passed by stages over our lifetimes (we’re about the same age) from what could arguably be called a sober Republic into something else never before seen in history but which can only be described as monstrous. The old American republic cannot be restored because it depends on a virtuous & God-fearing people for its health. We cannot conjure up that old America from the motley, destructive, identity-obsessed mob of hysterical women, children, fools, imported rabble, scapegraces, scoundrels & defectives that now so profusely dot the landscape.

The only thing for it is the hard, mailed fist of the despot. The tiger doesn’t change his stripes, so Trump will continue to be Trump, & if he momentarily dons the Tiger’s stripes, they will ill-suit him for long. He still has his dim bulb daughter & son-in-law whispering sweet idiocies in his ear. Revolutionary history occurs by stages & by the alchemy of one mental transformation at a time. But the more insulated each mind is, the slower the process. The last to understand the necessity of a sudden clean break with the past will be those most insulated from the fray, the protected classes that swarm the coastal enclaves & the imperial swamp. Among that class, those who do intuit the necessity will be ruthless opportunists for whom Trump will be the inchoate template.

But this is just idle speculation on the future. For now, if Trump does take decisive action to stay in power, his next moves must condemn thousands, even tens of thousands, to stand in the docket. The first to answer — Pelosi, Schumer, Biden, Harris, Schiff, Abrams, Comey, Brennan, the Clintons, Obama & others among not only the political element but also within the plutocratic ranks, & punditry classes too numerous to name — these first notorious few would have to become faint ghosts of memory before the last of the seditionists were truly purged.

It just can’t happen, the nodes of resistance being too numerous, too resistant. Having overwhelmed all of its natural defenses over the seventy decades of Boomer hegemony, while mimicking by stages just enough of the signs of health to defuse suspicion, the American “body politic” is suffering the shock of a sudden diagnosis of stage IV metastatic cancer. Frankly, coming up on my expiration date, I’d just as soon sit back & continue to watch the madness gradually unfold far away from me instead of uncomfortably up close & personal. Only time will tell, but at least we’re at an inflection point in this great drama.

    • tucsonspur January 8, 2021 at 3:51 pm #

      Well done.

You’re right, it just can’t happen. Trump has nothing left and will take no decisive action. If he did, the decisive action would be to have him jailed.

  58. Sean Coleman January 8, 2021 at 3:36 pm #

Matthew Raphael Johnson mentioned this in his latest podcast:

    Start of quote

May 2, 1967: Two dozen armed Negroes entered the state Capitol at noon today and 10 made their way to the back of the Assembly Chamber before they were disarmed and marched away by the state police.

The Assembly was in session at the time and Speaker Pro Tem Carlos Bee ordered the men removed from the chamber.

Outside the chamber, the police took away the weapons. The men argued they could carry the weapons as long as they were not concealed.

Apparently the fact the weapons were not concealed was the reason the men were able to get as far as the Assembly Chamber before they were disarmed.

After the state police questioned the men, they returned the weapons to them because the intruders had broken no law.

Following their release by the state police, the men left the Capitol and rejoined some companions who remained outside during the incident. They then drove off.

Four or five carloads of the Black Panther group later drove into a service station at 15th and L Streets. Several police officers took the demonstrators to the city jail.

An officer said they had not been charged with any offense, but added: “We’re going to take them all down and check them all out and we’re going to check out all these weapons.”

Outside of the police office … one man who identified himself as Bobby Seale of Oakland read a page-long statement of the Black Panther Party. It declared: “The Black Panther party for self-defense calls upon the American people in general and the black people in particular to take careful note of the racist California Legislature which is considering legislation aimed at keeping the black people disarmed and powerless at the very same time that racist police agencies throughout the country are intensifying the terror, brutality, murder and repression of black people.”

He apparently was referring to a bill by Assemblyman Don Mulford, R-Piedmont, which forbids carrying a loaded weapon within an incorporated area.

    The Sacramento Bee file

    End of quote

Watched several videos of the shooting and believe it was an accident. The shooter’s angle had him seeing someone charging the door and a bunch of guns held aloft. He could not see that the guns were held by the 5 or so cops who were right behind Babbitt, one of whom was at that moment pulling her off the door. He must have concluded that heavily armed rioters had arrived.

  59. dbrize January 8, 2021 at 3:43 pm #

Declan Leary who was out among them wrote on another site the money quote concerning the “riots”.

“Their fury is aimed at a system they feel failed them—or worse, worked exactly as intended. Impeach Trump, indict rioters—that anger is not going away. What’s happening on the Capitol steps, with tens of thousands gathered, feels dangerously close to a legitimacy crisis.”

And the MSM and cohorts know it and will do their best to bury it. They already are in the process.

We have in general three avenues of thought: those who believe the Dems are less bad than the Pubs, those that believe the Pubs are less bad than the Dems and those that believe both parties are corrupted beyond repair.

That both parties have willingly participated in the creation of systemic corruption and have neither the desire nor intent to change it. Those like JHK and Leary are correct; this isn’t the end of anything, hang on Sloopy.

    • tucsonspur January 8, 2021 at 4:13 pm #

Did the system fail the Democrats? Hang on to what, another Kraken? Trump is down and they’re kicking the crap out of him.

      • dbrize January 8, 2021 at 4:39 pm #

The legitimacy crisis concerns less Trump than the fact that the “people” are fed up with wars of choice, the national security state, the MIC, Wall Street corporate cronyism and a bought and paid for government apparatus.

Trump exposed it, willingly or not. Competent or not. He was the right message, wrong person no doubt. But what he has unleashed will likely prosper more by the fact that he’s gone. Even some who despise Trump see the underlying, bipartisan corruptions in the Imperial City on the Potomac.

This isn’t over by a long way.

        • Yohannon January 8, 2021 at 5:16 pm #

Exactly so. Civil Law took a huge hit when the Supreme Court failed as well. That was the last straw for many – after years of Trump being persecuted and months of illegal shut downs and protected rioting. Now they’re against “rioting”? Really? Who are the criminals again? Now we approach the impasse. The bottle neck.

  60. Tekapo January 8, 2021 at 3:44 pm #

“Did congress knowingly certify a fraudulent election? That will be a tantalizing question in the days ahead.”

It’s a good question, and I expect the answer is yes – sort of.

Firstly, Congress doesn’t really certify the election – it counts the electoral envelopes that come in from the states. There were a couple of theatrical objections (Arizona, Pennsylvania), but more Republicans voted against them than for them.

No objection in history has ever been successful – and that is as it should be – otherwise one party controlling both houses could simply overturn state electoral slates for the opposition it didn’t like.

I don’t buy into the wilder theories that the presidential election was stolen by a masterful plan in 6-8 swing states, using sophisticated software tricks involving Barcelona, Frankfurt, and Rome.

And nor were there thousands of fraudulent ballots injected into the system in the dead of night, when the software fix proved insufficient.

I don’t believe these for main three reasons:

    1. Nobody has proven anything in a court
    2. The Democratic Party *any party) isn’t smart enough
    3. For months polls showed a significant Biden lead in these states

If there was any compelling evidence, it really had to be paraded well before January 6 – indeed before December 14.

Having said all that, I think there was – and remains – a very very strong political bias against Donald Trump … many people – even including a lot of Republicans and neutrals – desperately wanted him to lose the election, because they dislike him intensely as a human being, and wanted to see him finally face a loss.

Something like that. Not political, but personal.

So while there were no cases anywhere where officials and workers bent over backwards to save one extra vote for Trump, there were plenty of places where probable Biden votes were treated generously – checking of signatures, proper envelopes, and so on.

Even the courts went along with it I feel. In a number of the 60 cases that barely got to first base, it was at least slightly possible that some of them could have been ruled the other way. But no-one was going to die in a ditch for Donald Trump.

One should also add that Trump had one of the worst legal teams imaginable. It was like the Addams Family.

‘I don’t buy into the wilder theories that the presidential election was stolen by a masterful plan in 6-8 swing states, using sophisticated software tricks involving Barcelona, Frankfurt, and Rome.’

Neither do I. What Republicans have to accept is that the Democratic tactics worked, they made Trump the bad guy for four years. When you add in his egotistical, maybe somewhat paranoid blunder on the virus, that was all they needed.

Tax cuts most favorable for the rich. Lousy on the environment. Firing non sycophants. Tumult, turmoil, fog, angst. The Democrats built a wall, and shut him out good.

“Tax cuts most favorable for the rich. Lousy on the environment. Firing non sycophants. Tumult, turmoil, fog, angst.”

He didn’t really need the Democrats to do much – a lot of self-inflicted stuff in there. As the wise man said, “The best way to stop shooting yourself in the foot is to stop pulling the trigger.”

      • MisterBimmler January 9, 2021 at 12:45 pm #

Trump quite probably was cheated electronically. As to courts laughing Trump out of the courts, what court in the nation is going to even look at evidence that belies the fiction that elections are or ever have been fair. Hayes-Tilden anyone? Nixon-JFK?

Frank Zappa has a great line about ‘maintaining the fiction.’ That’s SOP in government. The courts mostly function to shield the establishment from the plebs, populist fervor left or right, and a place for the big boys to sue one another. (I say, let’s bring back dueling)

    • Yohannon January 8, 2021 at 5:19 pm #

Nobody has proven it in court – thus you reveal yourself as a knave. No court would hear it.

The Democrats aren’t smart enough? But the people behind them are.

The polls? That’s just more of the same corrupt system. Other more reputable polls found things much more even or for Trump. The same pollsters you cite had Trump losing by a landslide in 2016.

      Your grade is F.

      • Tekapo January 8, 2021 at 6:45 pm #

        “Your grade is F.”

LOL. That would be F for frank and factual. And I win a dollar – I bet myself I would hear the three refrains that you list – they have been said a thousand times, but very few people are persuaded it seems.

The courts gave Team Trump every chance to submit evidence, but mostly they got arm-waving coulda-shoulda-woulda assertions and wild claims. The law is tough – and the Addams Family were simply way out of their league.

The master plots to steal the election would have required hundreds of willing participants – from low-level volunteers up to and including senior state Republican officials. It’s simply not plausible in my view.

Other than just assert it, can you demonstrate how the pollsters were in the pocket of anti-Trump forces? That’s the trouble with such claims – very easy to say, but harder to back up.

The average of polls is what matters – and none showed a Trump win for weeks and weeks prior to 3 November. Joe Biden in fact did not do quite as well as the polls predicted.

Anyway – it’s all moot now – Biden is President. Will be interesting to watch to see whether Trump fades away and plays more golf. I expect the Capitol riots are a disaster for him really.

        • Yohannon January 8, 2021 at 8:17 pm #

They have those willing hands in hate filled ghetto Black poll workers and the Democratic hacks who direct them.

Hundreds? Have you ever gone to rally? Have you ever heard of something called the internet? There are millions of people who hate Trump and would do anything to stop him if they got a chance. He’s Hitler. And when a Nazi comes to the door, do you tell the truth about Ann Frank hiding in the attic?

He’s president in the same way a car thief owns the car he stole. He may even offer you a ride in your own car. Nice guy, right?

“the three refrains that you list – they have been said a thousand times.” –Tekapo

Yet you haven’t dealt with them, just like State legislators, the Supreme Court, the MSM, or (HAHA!) the DNC (quelle surprise!)

“but very few people are persuaded it seems.” –Tekapo

This is the logical fallacy of the appeal to the majority. I guess Galileo was wrong, too. Also, total nonsense. Almost half the total voters believed the fix was in, increasing to where it’s roughly now 50%. And this includes a left-wing poll validated by rabidly-left VOX.

“mostly they got arm-waving coulda-shoulda-woulda assertions and wild claims.” –Tekapo

This is just another empty assertion. If you don’t explore the evidence put forward, of course there’s no proof. Nice Catch-22 op the globalist machine has going.

“The law is tough – and the Addams Family were simply way out of their league.” –Tekapo

Name calling. More non sequiturs and empty content.

“The master plots to steal the election would have required hundreds of willing participants – from low-level volunteers up to and including senior state Republican officials.” –Tekapo

Wrong. It would’ve required THOUSANDS of willing participants, as it did. Also, others were just told to shut their mouths and stuff those suckers into the machine and tick boxes for the Hologram. We’ve already seen doxxing and intimidation and firings of those brave voting workers who came forward to reveal the steal, under affidavits. Scaring the shit out of people with the promise of permanent hounding and ostracization works. Who knew?

“Other than just assert it, can you demonstrate how the pollsters were in the pocket of anti-Trump forces? That’s the trouble with such claims – very easy to say, but harder to back up..” –Tekapo

          “Where’s the evidence,” 23976.0.

“The average of polls is what matters.”

Almost all the polling companies are deeply in the pocket of the DNC. But to know that, you’d have to do some unbiased digging. Richard Baris would be a good place for you to start, although there’re a few other neutral pollsters as well.

BTW, the average of anything is bullshit. Much more important, more foundational, is the authority of each source. I was gonna say to see my Galileo reference above again, but back then, modern science was in its infancy, and people, justifiably, believed their lyin’ eyes when saw the sun sailing across the sky. Numbers, data, the organizational links, the video, the illegal changing of rules both before (GA, & other States) and after (PA), and on and on.

We’re not in the Dark Ages any longer, no matter the claims of a Dark Winter by CCP Joe.

“Joe Biden in fact did not do quite as well as the polls predicted.” –Tekapo

Finally we’re in agreement! Biden got trounced.

Yes, Trump lost and he probably lost 5-10 million votes because of his handling of the virus. Eight months of dizzying, uncaring nonchalance regarding a deadly virus, right before the most critical election in our history.

Some minor fraud, and all other allegations just keep the blogs rolling. The Kung Flu killed Trump.

It’s bright and sunny here, no fog. The Dems and the media and the covid captured the people. They wanted to live and be healthy.

Equal treatment: plenty of posters have drawn a comparative line between summer’s left-wing protests & riots and the events of Wednesday. We’re the Trumpians treated differently because they weren’t black/brown & ‘left’? Apparently, yes.

’ The disparity in treatment of yesterday’s rioters and Black Lives Matter protesters reflects the reality that authorities treat protesters differently according to their perceived political identification. FiveThirtyEight’s Maggie Koerth interviewed Roudabeh Kishi, whose research team tracked police violence in the U.S. from May 1 to November 28, 2020, and Koerth writes that authorities were “more than twice as likely to attempt to break up and disperse a left-wing protest than a right-wing one.” When they did intervene, they used force 51% of the time for the left and only 34% of the time for the right.

Arizona State University Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice Ed Maguire told Koerth: “I think protesters on the right, because they view the police as in their corner, they feel a sense of tacit permission.”

      Voter fraud by the Uniparty.

    • Yohannon January 8, 2021 at 5:26 pm #

The machines can actually change votes from one candidate to another. They may have lost Trump votes, etc. Many forms of cheating exist and many were used. A huge tangle and that can never be untangled. By design.

And remember, the 2016 vote was close. We don’t claim that it wasn’t, and won’t unless evidence comes to light.

      • Tekapo January 8, 2021 at 10:14 pm #

Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election by the same margin as Joe Biden won it this time. Why was it possible for Clinton to concede quickly and with honour, while Donald Trump still refuses to do so?

I don’t have a strong partisan view at all – what concerns me is that in a democracy you have to accept that you lose some and you win some, and it only operates if all stakeholders follow the rules and traditions.

Personally I think this election was close only because – let’s face it – Joe Biden was a very ordinary candidate. He might well prove to be a very good president, but he certainly didn’t set the electorate on fire during the campaign.

But he did enough to flip back the Midwest states that Clinton “unexpectedly” lost, and also jagged Georgia and Arizona. And Donald Trump did a lot to alienate the centre 10-20%.

In my view he spent far too much time and energy just preaching to the choir, and not enough broadening his appeal.

But I concede that if you firmly believe Trump’s months-long claim that he could only lose the election if it was rigged against him, rather than the election being a referendum on his first term, then there is no reasonable basis for discussion.

        • Night Owl January 9, 2021 at 8:38 am #

He has not conceded due to massive vote fraud.

Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election by the same margin as Joe Biden won it this time. Why was it possible for Clinton to concede quickly and with honour, while Donald Trump still refuses to do so? This statement proves that there is no reasonable basis for discussion with the likes of you. There is such overwhelming evidence of election fraud , that for you or anyone else to deny ascertains either your total dishonesty or utter stupidity. maybe both.

  66. Yohannon January 8, 2021 at 5:09 pm #

So that’s why no Court would even look at the evidence? Thousands of pages of it? Because there’s nothing there? Al contraire, they know that there is even if you don’t. That’s why they wouldn’t look.

Not looking is simply not how honest people operate. Their duty IS to look. Surely 70 million people demanding it and the future of America would be reason enough not to wave it aside with technicalities? You’re very easily duped….

what did abrams sister rule on again?

      • tucsonspur January 8, 2021 at 7:43 pm #

‘A judge in Georgia ruled on Monday that two of the state’s counties cannot invalidate voting registrations based on unverified change of address data.

“Defendants are enjoined from removing any challenged voters in Ben Hill and Muscogee Counties from the registration lists on the basis of National Change of Address data,” U.S. District Judge Leslie Abrams Gardner wrote in an order, according to Reuters.

Abrams Gardner is the sister of former Democratic candidate for governor and voting rights activist Stacey Abrams.

The two counties had sought to purge thousands of voters from the rolls based on what local election officials called unreliable change of address data. The vast majority of them included 4,000 in Muscogee County, which President-elect Joe Biden won by a large amount in November, and another 150 in Ben Hill County.’

Things will now start to go downhill, maybe slowly at first, or maybe quite fast. There is no going back.

The resurgence of the Democrats puts the lid on the troubles in black America for at least another four years. Performing non contractual lip service to black voters when out of power, and then largely ignoring them when they are in power, is something the Democrats do best.
Which is tragic. But the Democrats serve multinational corporations and the deep State, and those forces have zero relationships with blacks, other then foot soldiers in the army, or working in fast food restaurants.

    From Twitter:

“In the context of horrific events this week, we made it clear on Wednesday that additional violations of the Twitter Rules would potentially result in this very course of action. Our public interest framework exists to enable the public to hear from elected officials and world leaders directly. It is built on a principle that the people have a right to hold power to account in the open.

“However, we made it clear going back years that these accounts are not above our rules entirely and cannot use Twitter to incite violence, among other things. We will continue to be transparent around our policies and their enforcement.”

That is the most ridiculous shit I’ve heard in a long time. We are supposed to be dumb enough to believe there is any veracity to that statement…

Yet half of the country does.

From the besieging of random residential neighborhoods in peaceful cities with dumpsters rolled in, mattressed placed in and then lit on fire, pushed next to hundred-year-old trees with families wondering wtf they did wrong 40 ft away with their kids in bed?

Well, I’m sure JHK heard a lot of stuff about the riots but what did he write in his blog? Only stuff he heard that he’d like to believe is true. I’m sure he also heard that Ashli Babbit, a Trump supporter, was at the front of the crowd trying to climb through a broken window and got shot. Perhaps JHK could comment on the likelihood that that is true? However, he blogs as if unverified rumours are true when most are highly unlikely to be true, as of the chance of Trump’s actually winning the election.

Though not eligible to vote in 2016, I was quite glad that Trump got in (the alternative seemed to be pretty bad) and at least I thought that the following 4 years would be interesting. I didn’t realise, at the time, that Trump was a serial liar (though his promise to build a wall and get Mexico to pay for it seemed far fetched) and that he was at least as corrupt as most politicians. I’m glad he will be gone in, at most, 10 days, even though Biden will almost certainly prove fairly ineffective but probably less dangerous.

My Theory is that Trump is just another politician grifter emotionally pumping up the desperate suckers in order to fleece them, but who knows?

Trump used to be in the casino business. He had a casino in Atlantic City called the “Taj Mahal”. So, Trump may run again in 2024, which will make the Oligarchs ecstatic?

Reverse the charges is a prescient thought. Now that Trump’s war chest has been fattened up by his legal fund grift, the families of the people who died at the capital will hire some good lawyers and go for the gold. Since Mike Pence (Trump world’s newly designated traitor) will no longer be interested in pardoning him, and apparently he can’t pardon himself, he is a sitting duck for massive liability lawsuits. I’m 67 and have voted in every election in New Zealand. I despaired every time neoliberal, make- the- rich, richer, politicians won. They kept winning because of gerrymandering and a first past the post election system. They brought untold misery to working people while they cheated. But, I swallowed hard and waited, and eventually we were able to vote for a fairer electoral system called MMP. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electoral_system_of_New_Zealand.
The point I am making is, don’t despair, get involved and vote. And yes I realise New Zealand has a different history to the US, so what? Can’t we learn from history, from each other?
Anyway, I’m not a gifted writer or debater, I’ve read this blog for a while, but I just want people to live, in peace, and I feel for you.

      • Mike Roberts January 9, 2021 at 4:13 am #

Yes, one would like to think that other countries could learn from those with better electoral systems. Even the US constitution is not written in stone (it has 27 amendments) so there could be changes to the electoral system. However, the presidential election is not strictly party based so I don’t yet see how proportional representation can play a part unless it is to elect officers of government. Certainly, congress could move to proportional representation but perhaps the first change could be to figure out a system where each person’s vote has exactly the same weight in elections, no matter where they live in the US.

You say own up to what happened or the GOP will never win again.

Pardner, it is too late. The GOP is toast. A legitimate third party better show up based on Trump’s populism or the Deep State will be controlled by one party. Once a traitor, always a traitor, and the GOP is full of them. Now, we care seeing the cowardice of another large group of GOPers.

You are about to witness the takeover of a country.

Twitter et al taking over public communication.

CNN trying to destroy Fox. Actually Fox has done a pretty good job of destroying itself.

The Dem old guard in DC trying to put the finishing touches on Trump. This one is so obvious to me. They are sending a message to the American people, do not ever vote against us again. The GOP are joining in, the Deep State is one party now. If you send us another interloper like Trump, we will destroy him/her too. We are the power now.

Half of this country cannot stand the other half. Biden is a phony. He says he wants to have unity, then gives totally divisive speeches. The GOP traitors back him up.

    Uniparty forever.

    Hail Amerika.

Oh wait, what are those pesky 73 million folks gonna do?

    • tucsonspur January 9, 2021 at 12:40 am #

As to your last question, eat shit, to put it bluntly. You are absolutely right.

Patriots go into the Capitol for this man and he sells them out. I was angry that Pelosi et al were calling for his impeachment, kicking him while he was down. Now I don’t give a damn. Good riddance. I voted for the dumb fuck and gave him money and what did he give me? Harris-Biden.

BTW, Harris will be president within a couple of years.

How can one not feel a little betrayed?
I understand the sentiment all to well.

On a side note it was one man who did not know all the dirty tricks and a bunch of lying fucks that back stabbed him at every turn.
I believe Trump really wanted to effect reasonable and common sense changes.
The one other thing of serious note he did was to make it far easier to get rid of dead weight lackluster Government workers.
Now if we could but apply that same law onto Congress and the senate.

I would be willing to roll the dice at this point and Fire them all.
Start completely fresh with reasonable checks on voter ID and registration ensuring one vote per registered and confirmed citizen voter.
The other factor in this is not allowing the dismissal of other registered political parties on the ballot like communist California.
The outcome of such a reroll would be radically different I promise.

          • Night Owl January 9, 2021 at 3:35 pm #

I don’t feel betrayed. I saw a president have an election stolen from him, and the system use every fiber of its power to shut down any attempt to investigate what happened.

Blaming the victim is for secret kings and narcissists.

    • Lawrence Mint January 9, 2021 at 12:43 am #

Well, those pesky 73 people will drift off into their own special interests. Evangelicals and Catholics have the supreme court of their dreams, and the Catholic Church is actually very socialist and environmentally conscious. Educated conservatives in the north got their tax cuts and were not exactly thrilled to see a confederate flag paraded through the capital in the MAGA riot. So, that pretty much narrows the core of the Trump Republican party to the Deplorables. Not a strong basis for a viable political party. If you pay attention to Wall Street, you will notice that they have shrugged off Trump’s tantrum this week. Lisa Murkowski probably best represents the future of the Reformed Republican party. I think there will be a place for a fiscally conservative party, and I hope there will be one, but many of the 73 Million are going to be doing a lot of soul-searching over the next couple of years.

      • tucsonspur January 9, 2021 at 1:06 am #

How long does that Court last?

She’s not Sarah Palin, so that’s a plus. Has she mentioned anything about the Dems tearing at our Democracy?

Fiscally conservative, does that mean not letting the debt go above 40-50 trillion?

      • SoftStarLight January 9, 2021 at 5:08 am #

Lisa Murkowski supports sending billions of dollars to foreign countries, shipping American jobs and manufacturing to foreign countries, and among other things she supports increasing immigration, the funding of sanctuary cities, and the destruction of pristine wildlife habitat for short term profits. Not to mention she is a backstabber and endorses electoral fraud and censorship of political dissent. She is the epitome of everything that is reprehensible in the GOP.

      • Yohannon January 9, 2021 at 12:42 pm #

Those fake Catholics that Trump picked sold us out and their Faith as well. Of course the Fake Church loves it and them – now. They hated them before because Trump picked them.

    • cbeard January 10, 2021 at 1:53 pm #

Personally, I hope the GOP never does win again. I voted for Perdue and Loeffler in the Georgia runoff only to keep the dims from controlling the senate. It was the last GOP vote that I will ever cast. As it stands now, it may be the LAST vote that I ever cast. Period. Until I have a choice of something other than the lesser evil.

One side wanting evidence of fraud and another trying to provide it.

One side saying the protesters did horrible things and the other side denying it.

There is at times no “evidence”. None needed to “know” what happened.

And why try to deny protest ending up as all protests end up?

When we protested Mahathir, there were incidents. By excited protesters and of course plainclothes policemen.

What happens in a protest, we don’t deny; We don’t encourage.

If there is no reason to protest, why people gather risking their lives and livelihood?

Why you people deny and grovel I can never understand.

    • Yohannon January 9, 2021 at 12:48 pm #

Well said, chola. Why does the Right keep apologizing for its very existence? We could learn much from the Left: They NEVER turn on their own like this. And “no enemies to the Left” has been the mantra of the Democratic Party for generations.

Thus the Republican Party is not “Right”. It is Globalist and International just like the Democrats. Heads and tails of the same coin.

The Media holds Whites to an inhuman standard and the boobs accept it – or rather their talking heads do, showing them as the traitors they are.

The People who crossed America to be at that rally are finer people than anybody in media and almost anyone in the House and Senate. They work for the People and the People came to look in on their employees.

Just so you are clear, a lot of Americans are NOT buying the narrative this time.

      • sophia January 9, 2021 at 3:55 pm #

True Yo, as judging from commentary I have seen, they are unapologetic, despite that almost all of them did not and probably would not have taken part. They are peaceful for now, but not much longer. They have been vilified, marginalized and insulted for years, they had their votes stolen in broad daylight, no court would listen, they are censored on the internet and their representatives would not stand up. At what point must they use force if they are to do their duty as laid out in the Declaration?

    • chola3 January 9, 2021 at 11:58 pm #

I am talking about this very comment section. Why apologise?

Whether you are left or right, a million men protest will have some unruly elements and agent provocateurs.

The organisers definitely want to minimize it so people won’t be afraid to attend.

But apologizing just makes you a sucker.

Anyway estimate was 200k to 2mn. Hard to put that paste back in the tube.

Hoping once you guys win mind your own business instead of continue being assholes of the world. Karma is a bitch.

“It seems that the ‘Donald Trump will be your President’ (from 20 Jan 2021) brigade is almost ready to start thinking about considering the possibility that, just maybe…Trump gave in to the MSM, the RINO!”

Even though I am non-partisan in this stoush, it seems to me that Biden’s inauguration on 01/20/21 has been inevitable since all states bar Wisconsin met the safe-harbor certification deadline on December 8.

Nothing of substance has occurred since that date to change such a view – the election was lost, and 50 states said so conclusively.

Whether Donald Trump goes quietly is another matter. And as I have said previously, I think Impeachment and 25th Amend. ploys are not wise and not necessary.

The Dems have to think through what works best for Nov 2022 – but I’m not sure they’re very smart … their brains trust is far too old, for a start.

      • Rodster January 9, 2021 at 5:42 am #

And I would say voters have figured out there is NO difference between the Democrats and Republicans. We are being served by a “One Party Oligarch System”

That one party oligarch system is comprised of the Democrats + Republicans + Deep State.

        We have two options:

        1) Vote for a third party which I don’t see the one party oligarch system allowing the threat to their power.

        2) Let the USSA collapse, breakup like the former Soviet Union and rebuild it into something a lot smaller.

I’m hedging my bets with all the firepower Americans have that it could be option #2.

        • cbeard January 10, 2021 at 1:58 pm #

Meh.. Many Boomies seem to be very worked up about the who’s who and blaming Antifa for this and that and all this apocalypse narrative. Sorry but ya’ll remind me of the Blue Boomies who were trying to convince everybody that mobs of White Nationalist Trump supporters in blackface were rioting for George Floyd. You are being subliminally programmed to see all dissent from the prescribed central narrative as being a nebulous dehumanized riot mob that can be Communist or Fascist depending on the time of day. In other words, its time to get real. Their goal is simply to destroy the credibility, unity, and viability of any dissent and prevent the actual airing of greviances or examination of any of the innerworkings of the so called government. It is truly disappointing that this dynamic is ignored. Canceling people, denying them due process, mocking them (at best) day and night, year after year and what do you expect? This isn’t going to be a moderate fence sitting type of time going forward IMO.

  92. SoftStarLight January 9, 2021 at 4:56 am #

Remember last summer when the Leftists were lecturing us that riots and rowdy demonstrations were a vital component of the democratic process. Remember the mayor of Baltimore who said protestors needed space to destroy? So the continual focus on what happened at the Capitol is nothing more than a vehicle the oligarchs are using to implement more crackdowns on free expression and thought. But what really was the Boston Tea Party if not a riot?

So it should not surprise you that Trump’s approval ratings went up after the mainly peaceful protests in DC this week.

  95. BackRowHeckler January 9, 2021 at 6:57 am #

At any rate, in 1954 a gang of Puerto Rican terrorists got into Congressional Chambers when Congress was in session, and sprayed around machine gun fire. 5 or 6 people were hit, I can’t remember exactly without looking it up. No problemo. President Jimmy Carter pardoned these ‘Freedom Fighters’ in 1978, and they were given a tickertape parade in San Juan, hailed as returning heroes.

I believe it was Obama who pardoned another group of Freedom Fighters who tried to assassinate Truman in DC in 1952.

Left wing riots all year promoted by the Dem party and cheered on by CNN. It’s not until Whitey has a riot when it becomes something to worry about, LoL.

He might even go to jail if he doesn’t pardon himself. How’s that for a turn of events? He repeatedly said about Hillary, “lock her up”. Now she might be the one to laugh in his face when she visits him in jail.

That’s what happens when you FUCK with the Deep State ! They get mad and eventually they get even.

The map is not the territory. We, denizens of the 21st century, exist in a thick soup of information – the map. But the territory is terra incognita. Finding bits of accurate, actionable, useful information is like looking for needles in a haystack.

TV, I don’t have one. Internet, I use very little. But for many years I’ve been fishing out the print edition of the WSJ from a certain recycle bin. Newspapers is the one form of media I can navigate to a degree.

The WSJ is the one major legacy newspaper, along w the much lower quality NYPost, that hasn’t completely surrendered to the prevailing winds. Of course it has an agenda. It’s always useful to be aware of the agenda of the medium when digesting their version of the map. But it has been relatively free of TDS, in fact celebrating some of his moves. It has featured many columnists of heavy intellectual caliber taking a stand against woke culture, academic madness and race blackmailing.

One of them, HW Jenkins (1.6.21): “Mr Trump plays checkers. The game is chess. His slim loss in the electoral college should rankle because it shows how different the outcome might have been if he had done a few things differently – including listening to advice”

Ann Coulter: “Trump could have been a massively popular president and won reelection comfortably, if only he’d kept faith with his voters. Even people who abhorred him would have had to say, I thought he was a coarse vulgarian, but he was right about China ripping us off, he was right about the border, and he was right about standing up to crazy woke culture.”

Many of the posters here, Trump voters like myself, are as well aware of the man’s faults as the 2 writers quoted. One poster said, months ago, that “TDS cuts both ways”. Right. You cannot describe the guy in semi-divine terms. Enlightened One, Dear Leader, etc, can hardly apply to what in essence is another rich asshole, a serial betrayer and narcissist, a political and intellectual lightweight that in the end only listened to his children and J Kushner, an upper class twit if there ever was one (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGxSM5y7Pfs).

Getting rid of Bannon to listen to this cretin… there’s mistakes you never come back from. He paid for it, and we paid for it. Fraud or no fraud.

There’s many like me: done with D & R’s, done w DJT, needing new leaders but without much faith one will emerge, so… more focused than ever in carving independence, decoupling from the map and getting to know the territory, and preparing to resist in any way we can.

    Resist what?

Back to the WSJ. Most interesting needles you’ll find in that haystack? Some of the biggest advertisers are artificial intelligence and robotics companies. Including an up-and-coming outfit that sells robocops. So this is how the Defund the Police / BLM madness unfolds: massive surveillance and robots ruling us.

More of Coulter. She’s on fire these days. Much clarity:

“The 2020 election should have been like Ronald Reagan’s 1984 reelection (49-state landslide). Like Trump, Reagan ran on popular issues left on the ground by other candidates—primarily his vow to destroy the Soviet Union and reignite the economy by slashing government.

But—and here’s the big difference—Reagan kept his promises.

Not Trump! Instead—in the greatest bait-and-switch in American history — he promptly turned his presidency over to nimrods Jared and Ivanka, while he watched TV and tweeted. Suddenly, the populist hero was replaced with two idiots, who were all about being friends with the Kardashians and sucking up to Goldman Sachs.

Why don’t we have a wall? Why didn’t Trump impose a tax on remittances to make Mexico pay for it? Why are American workers still training their cheap labor replacements?

Answer: Stephen Miller, Trump’s crucial immigration aide during the 2016 campaign, survived his first year in the White House only by convincing Ivanka he was working on “Women’s Issues.” He spent his remaining three years with his nose up Jared’s butt.

We knew about the hucksterism. There was no warning about the kids.

The Republican Party’s only hope is to become a populist party, but without a shallow, narcissistic ignoramus as its head.

What is the point of being slavishly loyal to a person who is loyal to no one (except his numbskull kids)? Trump has sold out everyone who was ever faithful to him—Jeff Sessions, Kris Kobach, Chris Christie, Milo Yiannopoulos, Gavin McInnes, the Proud Boys, Corey Lewandowski, Steve Bannon, Rudy Giuliani, and, of course, his own voters.

Half of the betrayed are still desperately seeking Trump’s favor by signing onto the futile “Stop the Steal” effort. Not good enough for the administration! But good enough to humiliate themselves in Trump’s final days in office. At the first Stop the Steal rally in Washington, Trump didn’t even show up. He went golfing.”

    • Yohannon January 9, 2021 at 1:05 pm #

He did some really nice things for the White Base at the very end – but without mentioning us since we are Unmentionables (as well as being Deplorables and Irredemiables). He ended Critical Race Theory training in the Federal Government. He was going to set up a Garden of Heroes to make up for the mass toppling of our statues. And he passed an initiative to change the curriculum, to stop teaching a traitorous version of American History.

All this after years of raving about Black and Hispanic employment figures and NEVER mentioning Whites. We are just generic mensch material you see. It was an extraordinary slap in the face even in terms of his own civic nationalism. And he was planning to be Republican Lyndon Johnson giving Blacks the sun and the moon with the “platinum plan”. In other words, going along with Narrative but trying to top it as he did with Covid.

She’s a bit harsh but more or less on target. Instead of doing a few extraordinary things at the end (which the Bushes would never have done), he should have been doing them all along. Kushner told him to focus on minorities, “You already have the trailer parks”. Vicious indeed.

      • Rulo Deschamps January 10, 2021 at 5:03 pm #

Sophia, good catch. Always good to double check.
A quick search didn’t reveal anything of substance. Milo says he “feels betrayed” by Trump not fighting harder to contest the election after he “lost everything” supporting him. He’s a flamboyant gay man, so of course his “feelings” are very important to him, but no evidence of actual betrayal.
Giuliani’s case is also very thin – he publicly said he had “insurance” in the form of incriminating evidence if DJT “threw him under the bus”, but that never happened as far as my search showed.
Always look twice and never believe something just because a well known columnist writes it.
        Thank you

He barely knows them. Of course.

A sitting president banned from public communication. Parler scrubbed. Gab almost toast. Shades of exiling Napoleon come to mind.

The benevolent tolerance of the new uniparty and its followers is blindingly sincere, indeed.

“We’ve got the reins, now let’s purge the other half from public existence. No mercy. They are wrong, and always will be, because they didn’t vote for our guy or cheer on cancelling the right people when we did.”

This is why no one with a functioning cerebral cortex believes groups like BLM and Antifa just want equality for all. No, they want to take over and flip the tables in misguided, unsubstantiated vengeance for crimes nearly none of their fellow citizens have committed…yet half are now guilty by default. And the democrat party (no caps anymore, fuck em) is running the sideshow with glee.

Spite and cultural erasure of a large swath of the population is not a suggested bedrock for a society anyone would want to live in, except for those on the right team. Does this sound familiar to anyone? All too familiar, even?

Really feel the use of the “c” word is justified for those who support this direction as just, but I will defer to our host to break that fourth wall should he choose. Not my place.

So instead I will just say to those I’ve mentioned above – you should be ashamed of yourselves.

More pearl clutching. Parler can offer its app elsewhere. Trump can use his enormous Presidential resources to communicate. Twitter started out with a few weirdos reporting what they had for breakfast. He’s so incredibly wealth, he could start his own platform – “Twatter”. Then all the twats can scream into their very own echo chamber and get satisfaction 24/7/365.

They’d likely even pay for the privilege, or opt to endure constant ‘Fund the Fight Back!’ grifting ads.

Not sure there’s much of anything worse than a smug Hillary Clinton. [shudder] Even Vlad The Impaler must be twitching a bit in his grave at that bitter gem.

And to clarify yet again, for me this has nothing to do with Trump himself. Like most, I’ve never really liked him. He is, and always has been, a narcissistic blowhard who sways in the wind to suit himself. No different in that respect than any other politician on the national stage.

But I appreciated his middle finger to the establishment, his attempt to preserve some form of American image and thought from the generations that came before us, and was amused by his stream of consciousness rants containing varying modicums of rationality or clarity.

But to erase him and all that may have liked the other guy less…is petty.

You did watch some of DJTJ’s seditious rant to the crowd before the event?

And Eric’s threat that “he” was “coming for those” in Congress that didn’t support the objections?

They can be as pissed off as they like – they’re equally culpable.

    • benr January 9, 2021 at 12:15 pm #

      Politically you dunce not physically!

And what of the threats from the Imbeciles in Congress and the Senate?
Maxine the Idiot Waters and her get in their face!
Or the almost as stupid AOC with her we are coming for Trump supporters!

Oh the short memory cycles on these propagandist commie supporting scum.

You want Euro trash Socialism move the fuck on out of here.

And you’re sure the mob understood that distinction? It has been reported that a gaggle of the mob were seriously looking for Pence, with a mind to lynch him.

It is so easy to wipe the floor with you that it literally took me 1 minute to find evidence.

“It is so easy to wipe the floor with you…”

I bet that phrase sounds of poetry in German…C’mon, give us a taste…

          • Night Owl January 10, 2021 at 5:24 am #

Sadly, no. It has to be translated 1:1 as the German equivalent would be something entirely different. Closest would be

“Dich fertig zu machen ist so einfach, dass ich brauchte tatsächlich nur eine Minute den enstprechenden Beweis zu finden.”

It is often the case that many of the best sayings, idioms, etc. don’t work as a direct translation.

            Damn Krauts.

“Dich fertig zu machen ist so einfach, dass ich brauchte tatsächlich nur eine Minute den enstprechenden Beweis zu finden.:

Please, say it one more time…this time low, and guttural….
