John Michael Greer blogs at Ecosophia, subtitle, Toward an Ecological Spirituality. JMG has been an astute observer of Western Civ’s arduous economic and cultural descent, and is the author of many books, both novels and non-fiction, including Green Wizardry, After Oil, The Wealth of Nature, and Not the Future We Ordered. Star’s Reach, is a novel set 400 years ahead in America’s neo-medieval future. The King in Orange, a meditation on the relationship between archetype psychology and the occult as acted out in politics and culture. Things are getting weird in America, wouldn’t you agree? Even a bit supernatural. We assess our country’s spiritual condition as we turn the corner on a fateful year 2024.

The KunstlerCast theme music is the beautiful Two Rivers Waltz written and performed by Larry Unger

What’s up with the audio? The last couple of podcasts have sounded like they’re in stereo with Jim in the left ear and the guest in the other. I can also hear Jim rustling papers around and I’m pretty sure I hear him playing hangman off to the side. Otherwise, I enjoyed the episode.

Always enjoy listening to JMG…he interviews well. But there’s not a lot new here we haven’t heard from him before. We’re stuck here on Mother Earth where perhaps the greatest task in life is to find reality.

When you have a guest, please don’t hard-pan your voices like a badly-mixed stereo album from the early 60s. It’s not necessary; the difference in timbre is enough to distinguish you from each other.

Agreed, especially disconcerting when listening through headphones. One of my ears isn’t so good any more, accentuating the discomfort.

Fortunately, the VLC player I use has a “Mono” option.

Hope Jimbo will interview Steve Kirsch on Kunstlercast 390, regardless of who’s comiing in which ear!

    Jim,

Thanks for this. Excellent interview. I don’t give a dog’s dick about the audio. I don’t need the mastering of a Moody Blues album, I could understand you both perfectly.

Ditto: U2 is not music to my ears but Jim’s narrative here is.

A great catch-up since the last interview with JMG. Thanks!

A bevy of metaphysical content (vs. trope) to digest here for the JHK disapora. The concepts of kitsch and the relevant heuristic analysis is well defined by Greer. Having indulged in Physics for the last many years (tooo many), it was so revealing on his take on Fusion & String theory as pre-cursors to abetting Quantum Physics as relevant to modern physics apps like energy salvos (total BS). Delving into the current zeitgeist, one harkens back to the Byzantine era for parallels to current Western Civ. (??) where Basil 2 gave Constantinople and the Sophia Cathedral (now a Mosque) almost gratis to the Ottomans a half century later and life went on for the hoi polloi as it nothin of significance had transpired becuz the Emperor in his demented state was still on his vaporized throne along with his icons for a status quo gesture (aka: Marines guarding the Prez during a WH briefing) as he promotes the LGTBQ cult and open border polices as a righteous cause for the common good of the sheeple he domains over and taxes them mercilessly for this privilege of acceptance.
One likes the way Jim probes Greer for derivatives on his analysis as the loci for integration are not immediately obvious but definitely on the horizon in the next decade.
Jim: Whitney Webb wud be another great protagonist for your postulates and consider her for a future podcast. Dzienkuje Bardzo.

This must be a great conversation: a genocidal zionist and a tinpot dictator wannabe masquerading as humans.

Why don’t you guys talk about how many children are enough to satisfy your blood thirst JHK?

Or why don’t you ask JMG why he never apologised for keeping the CIA line in all his sites where he calls conspiracy theorist everyone that disagrees with the bat source of the coflu virus?

I hope your sites survive in order for future historians to study the perfect examples of controlled opposition.
A personal note: you are both disgusting human (?) beings.
