The matrix of interests, parties, and people styling themselves as The Resistance, who tried unsuccessfully to cough up Donald Trump like a hairball for four years, may finally succeed by harvesting the magical crop of mail-in ballots delivered by unicorns in the gathering darkness this post-election week of mathematical wonders.

America walked wide-eyed into this signal institutional failure, the one that lowers us to the level of places in the world where the loincloth is a business suit and the only instrument of persuasion is a machete. The Attorney General, Mr. Barr, warned the country months ago in so many words that mail-in voting would invite massive fraud, and so it has gone, but exactly as predicted, in plain sight, shamelessly.

The Resistance dared to work this operation because there were no consequences to their previous seditions and felonies. Nobody ever answered for the many crimes of RussiaGate (and possibly never will). The lying slattern Christine Blasey Ford slunk back to her cushy life in California with a big GoFundMe bundle after defaming Judge Kavanaugh. Eric Ciaramella and his UkraineGate accomplices, IC Inspector General Michael Atkinson and Col. Alexander Vindman, never even faced an inquiry over their janky scheme. Judge Emmet Sullivan still refuses to follow the DC Circuit order to close the General Flynn case. Rep. Adam Schiff never paid any price for knowingly lying his ass off, nor did The Washington Post, The New York Times, CNN, and MSNBC. Twitter founder Jack Dorsey and Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg are allowed to suppress the news and deform the public conversation because they’re more important than the rest of us, and they know better, too.

No consequences for these actors in a rough and dirty game, but great consequences for the USA — a now lethal loss of faith in the essential fairness of American life and the institutions that were created to insure it. Shame on us for letting it get this far.

Mr. Trump is a fighter, and some kind of battle will go on from here, but he doesn’t appear to have much help while the ballot mills still grind away his leads in several swing states. The whole wicked business is pretty sure to end up in the US Supreme Court, one way or another, and maybe that’s where some line can finally be drawn against the brazen bad faith that played out in the election, even as the forces of Lawfare go to work in the statehouses, attempting to engineer electoral college slates. They’ll have the assistance of state secretaries-of-state and state attorneys general elected with funding from various George Soros activist groups. I doubt The Resistance wants this thing to end up in the House of Representatives, because the peculiar math involved in that remedy could hand Mr. Trump the win there.

Sometime after this weekend, the news media will start a drum-banging campaign to convince the nation that the charismatic Joe Biden is president-elect, no matter how inconclusive the outcome actually is or how many procedural and judicial hoops it has to pass through before reaching a definitive conclusion. What if, during this murky period of litigation, the story of the Biden family’s exploits in global influence-peddling somehow re-enters the public arena, despite the best efforts of the news and social media to bury it? What if, during this period, Joe Biden himself is named by federal attorneys as a “target” in the already-opened investigation of his son Hunter’s, and brother James’s, overseas money-laundering op? It would be hard to keep that out of the news. What if the issue comes up of Joe Biden being a national security risk because of that grifting? Would he be allowed anywhere near the White House?

By the way, I’m not referring just to China and the deals that Hunter was chasing in 2017 when Joe Biden was out-of-office, but also of Ukraine in 2014, during and after the “color revolution” arranged by John Kerry’s State Department with help from George Soros’s Atlantic Council, when Veep Joe Biden was the official “point man” for US policy there and Hunter was installed on the Burisma board of directors for a cool $85,000-a-month, an arrangement that ran for years and netted him millions. The reason the investigation was opened in the first place was because there is hard evidence of a Biden family money-laundering trail through the Baltic States and Cyprus.  And there is a lot of hard evidence of how all this worked on Hunter’s laptop. And there are the two interviews that erstwhile Biden business partner Tony Bobulinski did with the FBI only a couple of weeks ago. Do you suppose that all of that is just going to the dead-letter office? I wouldn’t.

Couple more things. First, what do you get with Joe Biden and the Democratic Party running the US government? Official suppression of free speech and official management of the news? Official cancel culture? Official race hustling and gender identity struggle sessions in the federal agencies? Campaigns against “whiteness?” Endless lockdowns and a new round of global misadventures in “nation building?”

Then there is the question of Joe Biden’s physical and mental ability to serve in office. Even the Democrats understand that he’ll be shoved aside probably early in his term under the 25th amendment (or perhaps with a simple resignation, if he doesn’t want to put the country through another wringer). They knew that all along, you realize. Leaving Kamala Harris in the oval office, a candidate so visibly unpopular that she dropped out of the primaries before the Iowa caucuses.

One other thing: whoever occupies that office beginning in 2021 is going to face an overwhelming economic crisis. Oil production, which stood just under 13 million barrels-a-day at its peak November, 2019, is down over 2 million barrels a day now, and will be sinking to about 7 million barrels-a-day in 2021, which is far short of what we use. Shale oil is a bust. It costs too much to get out of the ground and the companies that put their mojo into shale can’t make any money at it, and can’t pay off their loans, and won’t get new loans to continue operations. So, the whole industry is going to shit. Oil is what has supported the US economy for a hundred years, and it’s over. Our attempt to compensate for that quandary by borrowing more and more money at every level is also drawing to a close. It will break the bond markets, the dollar, and the banks. This is the essence of the long emergency and we’re entering the heart of the storm now.

It will require a pretty thorough rearrangement of life in our country, mainly in downscaling everything we do and re-localizing productive activity as much as possible. This has absolutely nothing to do with race-and-gender issues or any of the other ideological horse-shit that has preoccupied the Left for more than a decade. They will never wrap their minds around it. They will only respond by creating more unnecessary mischief here and probably overseas in their panicked desperation. A demoralized American people will finally see the mind-fucking they’ve been subjected to and will rise to save themselves from the ground up, with or without their government.

Donald Trump like a hairball for four years, may finally succeed by harvesting the magical crop of mail-in ballots delivered by unicorns in the gathering darkness this post-election week of mathematical wonders.

        Should read:

The world should start to understand that Energy supplies, delivered by unicorns to gas stations worldwide in the gathering darkness looming since 1914, do not belong to the mainstream flying-carpet EROEI wonders – but rather to the force of the laws of Physics.

It cannot be right that super tankers are bringing oil to America every 4 hours or 6, all the way from Iraq, for example, then the oil is re-loaded into airplane carriers to sail to the Middle East – for a fight for oil.

30+% of that oil will go to waste travelling to America and another 30+% travelling from America back to the Middle East.

What remains of it is hardly enough to cover for evaporation, leaks, food, running 24/7 media and Internet wires, and repairs.

        @edpell

What “Time for a war. Iran anyone?

Humans must stop believing in unicorns sustaining for them their current style of civilisation and endless wars, and start acknowledging the laws of Physics.

No war will bring back the hey days of fossil fuels. The age of fossil fuels is almost over – no matter how most of fossil fuels reserves are still in the ground.

The world must give up on its extreme, incredibly fossil fuels energy-intensive centralisation – running the broken engine of its outdated social contract.

        Wail.

There are two things to celebrate about the 2020 Election Clusterfuck.

1- The end of any pretense that the USA is a democracy.

          2- The Future

          THE DISUNITED STATES OF AMERICA
          CIRCA 2040
          Peace in our Time

          CASCADIA:
The former states of Washington, Oregon and Northern California. Joined by treaty with the former province of British Colombia in 2034. As the pioneer separatist state, Cascadia had the forethought to seize the Trident submarine ICBM weapons system based in their new nation, which deterred the US from attacking them until they could install an effective defensive system purchased from the Russians.

          NEUVO CALIFORNICA:

The former Mexican State of Baja California united with the former states of Arizona, New Mexico, and Southern California. Upon being returned to its rightful owners a majority of the citizens voted to ban the use of English except within the confines of private homes.

          PRINCIPALITY OF BUTTLUST:

An International City of Refuge for those discriminated against because of their sexual confusion. Founded upon the old city of San Francisco and its Silicone Valley suburbs. Citizenship is restricted to those who can prove their homosexuality.

          GREATER TEXAS:

After years of border wars created by Texas’ expansion into neighboring territories peace was finally achieved by the ratification of the Treaty of Alamo II in 2037. Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana and Texas united to form Greater Texas after Texans dropped their objections to the idea that there could ever be a Texas greater than the original Texas.

          THE CONFEDERACY:

The boundaries of the True Confederacy fortunately have been fought over and firmly established. As always the issue is the ownership of slaves. Since almost everybody in the USA is already a wage slave, the issue of who the slave owner is remains clouded by corporate ownership. Since black people who were the original victims of slavery have now become the majority in the Confederacy they concluded that the just thing to do was pass a law that only black people could own slaves, and those slaves must be of white European heritage.

          NEW ENGLAND
          :
In New England everyone knows their genealogy back to the Mayflower and their proper place within it, so it should be quite easy for the citizens to decide which states should be included in their new nation and which should be offloaded into FlyOverLand.

          PONZILAND:

There is no question that New York is not New England. And as a world capital of finance and corruption it deserves to become a nation-state all of its own so it will not be restricted by courts and laws meant for lesser beings.

          TRUMPLANDIA: (aka FlyOverLand)

This new Heartland Nation was pieced together from everything left over after regional cultural barriers were drawn in concrete. It marches behind a distinctive solid orange flag embroidered with a mushroom facsimile with flames shooting from its top. It is known as a Trumpstool (at least in polite company.) Trumpians may not know what they want, but they know damn well what they do not want. And that certainly is not to be forever known as Deplorables after being so named by the most hated politician of the Old Regime.

  2. Ishabaka November 6, 2020 at 9:31 am #

Donald Trump is the first president since Dwight Eisenhower to not start a new war. That is going to change, as the business as usual American Bomb-A-Rama Drama resumes.

    • shotho November 6, 2020 at 10:07 am #

It is worth thinking about that the financial collapse with its corresponding economic failure will be something that those in power for the next four years have to receive the blame; something like the Republicans in 1932. For those who believe that our republican form of government is now at stake, they might want to hope for a Biden win.

      • feralandroid November 6, 2020 at 11:28 am #

I have been saying something similar. If Trump concedes now, and we go into a depression (I think we already are), he can run again in 2024 with his MAGA slogan. He’ll be able to point to the economy from ’16-’19 and claim it was because of his leadership, and promise prosperity all over again. People will be so desperate at that point, they may buy it.

        • QAintel November 8, 2020 at 9:05 pm #

Sneaky. I like it. Make it look like Biden failed miserably on the economy and then Trump can swoop in in 2024 and regain the White House. With all the anger Trump is creating and distrust of our democratic institutions, the climate will be rife for a covert civil war to bring down the deep state.

    • bluedog November 6, 2020 at 2:23 pm #

Yep but all the wars he continued and tried to get one going with Iran, until Russia stepped and said that was one red line you better not cross, then he tucked his tail and ran.The people lost their faith in this country and its institutions in Dallas,Tex. in 1963 when the governments involvement became well known in their hit on JFK followed up by the hit on his brother Robert,as old Abe said when this government and its institution no longer works for the people they have the right to change it,which is long overdue, its like an old rotten tomato that needs to be squeezed until there’s nothing left.Instead the people grind their teeth rent their clothes in fustration which don’t change a thing.!!!!

      • shotho November 6, 2020 at 5:31 pm #

I don’t quite understand your reasoning here. Yes, I agree that something fundamental happened in Dallas and we haven’t had a president serious enough to challenge the power elite since JFK; maybe because they’re afraid that the same could happen to them. Trump might have come too close to comfort for them; it’s hard to tell, but they have been frantic to get rid of him. As far as “change, which is long overdue”, what do you have in mind? Revolutions rarely end in something good for those who started them.

      • Iananna November 6, 2020 at 9:39 pm #

        Why ‘rent’ clothes?
Surely one can go to op-shops (Goodwill?) and buy something to own?

    • james charles November 7, 2020 at 6:28 am #

‘”Trump hasn’t started any new wars!”: yes, but he’s maintained or expanded every existing one (Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Somalia, Yemen), launched a coup/economic war on Venezuela (on top of the ones on Cuba & Nicaragua), and done every thing he can{?} to start a war with Iran.’

Thank you for your Service Mr. Trump. Mr. President. You fought harder for us than anyone would have, you succeeded against overwhelming resistance from every corner of government. You pulled the wool from our eyes.

    Thank you.

    We’ll take it from here.

    • Rupert November 6, 2020 at 9:35 am #

I retain some small measure of hope that the courts will force a proper audit in these anomalous states, but can’t help but think that the fix is in.

Whatever his faults, it’s high praise for Trump that the entire establishment in DC, donkey and elephant alike, despised him.

      • bluekayak November 6, 2020 at 9:47 am #

Exactly – Whenever asked by the IYIs (“intellectuals yet idiots”, as Taleb calls them) how I could possibly even consider voting for the ghastly Trump, I would simply reply that his saving grace is that he pisses off all the right people.

      • Mountain gal November 6, 2020 at 9:49 am #

        @ Rupert

True, which is why the GOP isn’t coming to his defense and so many RINO’s made it a point to distance themselves from Trump..

      • feralandroid November 6, 2020 at 11:23 am #

The right is doing nothing. Why aren’t their 10s of thousands of Trump supporters swarming the polling stations in the contested states? Only the left gets of their ass and does anything.

        • benr November 6, 2020 at 11:27 am #

A lot of those leftist trolls are getting paid to show up.
We on the right tend to have JOBS and can’t just go off and protest anytime we feel like it.

          • Rupert November 6, 2020 at 11:29 am #

Exactly that. I’ve got a family and a life, I can’t just take off and go several states away into hostile territory like some Antifa road warrior.

          • feralandroid November 6, 2020 at 11:35 am #

            Exactly. Its always some excuse.
“I’m not being paid to protest”
            “I have a job”

I can’t fight treason and communism cause I have to go to work.

When Biden shuts down the country because of a lame virus, you won’t have to worry about a job…

          • Rupert November 6, 2020 at 11:44 am #

@feralandroid No, you’re not wrong about that, it’s a critical flaw, but it’s also accurate. I’ve got a one year old. Baby girl needs me. I also question the wisdom of going into hostile territory without a lot of strategic support- DAs who drop all charges on BLM/Antifa will throw you in the clink for 417 years if given the slightest chance.

          • feralandroid November 6, 2020 at 2:06 pm #

What if we actually have to fight for our republic or lose it?

          • Yock November 9, 2020 at 9:45 pm #

It’s funny how the left seems to think they have some magical ability to blacklist people for supporting the Golden Golem when very few of them are ever in a position of corporate power to make this decision. In fact, if I walked around my colleagues and managers with a bright red MAGA hat on, I would probably be promoted heaven forbid!

        • KarlDehrmann November 6, 2020 at 2:14 pm #

This blog started out as a resource depletion blog. As JHK mentioned, depletion marches on. It doesn’t matter if Ronald fucking Reagan’s ghost gets elected, industrial civilization, including America, is going away. That means no capitalist OR socialist paradise. Those Antifa, BLM, pinko-commie-cocksuckers you hate? They are going to starve in the cities along with most Red blooded, apple pie loving, good old boys. Any sane family man should only have one cause worth fighting for, and that is the survival of his children. Get to work!

“Why aren’t their 10s of thousands of Trump supporters swarming the polling stations in the contested states?”

Ummmm… cos they believe in democracy?

Used to be a person could lose in this country without whining that the game was rigged.

          • benr November 6, 2020 at 7:46 pm #

Four years straight of commie whining as a result of 8 years of commie rule.
Imagine how bad it will be after four years of rule by ghoul and the Kammie fool?

          • sophia November 7, 2020 at 11:53 am #

            freetrapper,

All of the people on the right say that if they lose the election fairly, they will be fine with that. But when election counting is stopped, which has never before happened, and then after a few hours they find 138,000 votes for the other guy, who had been losing, and every one of the votes is for the other guy, does that not make it suspicious?

Do you have any ethical or logical standards?

      • Pete November 6, 2020 at 1:39 pm #

Yes… I share your hope, but life having taught me this lesson many times has me racing towards acceptance, after nano-abbreviated, denial, anger, bargaining and depression.

The Pharisees partnered up with the Romans to eliminate the best known outsider who tried to expose their corruption, and they’ve been doing the same thing ever since. Now, I’m not saying DJT is Jesus, or even a prophet, but he is not the maniacal, evil genius, traitorous grifter, liar, racist the communist left wing and their propaganda arm has portrayed. He’s just an outsider, who knew how the game was played, he saw how UNFAIRLY the people were being treated and he stepped up, at great personal and financial risk.

And he did give the American People an honest day’s work, as POTUS, each and every day of the past four years, while the democrats spent those same days plotting. And he was set upon, and meggered with each of those days. He did more for me playing golf than Nancy Pelosi did for anyone. And they fabricated a coup against this man BEFORE he was elected the first time. On what experience did they launch such an effort? He was a two time loser on the Presidential scene, a laugher. This honest man has been cheated out of this election because the democrats are covering up their own crimes. Pharisees all of them.

Our stalwart host, James Kunstler, whom I believe to be on the side of truth, justice and fair play, seemingly underwent an ‘apparent’ transformation of political point-of-view these past many years. And he was castigated, and I assume it caused him a great deal of stress and soul searching. Now, I say ‘seemingly’ above, because I think it was precisely because Jim is representing truth and justice and fair play that he ultimately went with the evidence. And I say if JHK thinks the democrats are rat bastards and cheaters, so do i.

Pete– I was never a Leftie, ever. I don’t know why so many people just assume that about me.It’s just not correct. — JHK Admin

None-the-less, nothing has changed over the past two thousand years and I don’t expect it to change now. DJT did his job, and I don’t expect him to die on this hill. If all was supposed to be well and good and fair, God would not have put the apocalypse on his to-do list.

        • abbybwood November 6, 2020 at 2:59 pm #

Trump was cheated out of the election in 2016!

From the second he took his hand off the Bible at his inauguration he was cheated. As he mentioned a few weeks ago, he was never given a “peaceful transition”.

I am amazed he accomplished what he did and at the same time was constantly fighting off Russiagate and impeachment.

Now idiots like Olberman are demanding that Trump should be immediately arrested!

Newsflash! Trump will be president until January 20th regardless of how this election plays out. And that is plenty of time for him to get “things” done.

      Pete

Who are we? Not the accumulating gang of gimmes that have taken the presidency. Luckily, the Senate is still in GOP hands, but the grifters in Georgia have access to change that. Do not forget Romney too, who cannot let Trump lose without rubbing it in. The RINOs are the real rats in this debacle. Poor little bruised egos.

The mail ins have done Trump in, the lazy minorities now have a way to input and cheat in all elections. How can there be such a difference between in person voting and mail in. Something stinks!

The good news is, at least for now, is that the gimmes have lost ground in the legislature. The ult left is incensed because they realize there will be no repudiation of the conservatives. Hahahahaha!

The country however is on a downward track. Global powers will gain as more Soros backed judicial people will be elected and appointed. The Deep State are going to try to change the public into gimmes, dependent on the government and voting for anyone that will keep the manna flowing.

IMHO, the first thing the collective Conservative GOP needs to do is expel the members of the Lincoln group and the rest of the RINOs with Mitt Romney being first in line. Then consolidate its increased power in the Congress to form its own resistance to the socialization efforts. The biggest problem is that punishing the RINOs turns the Senate over to the bad guys.

Good job, Trump, thanks for your service in trying to slow down the collapse of the US. Biden (Harris) are now pilots of this doomed ship.

I always thought it would be great if the Trump family started a news network and it turns out that they had thought about doing that very thing, calling it “Trump TV”. If he has to leave office, perhaps they could do that, tilling the ground for a triumphant return in 2024.

Yes, but do you really think Our Betters will allow such a network to even be founded/licensed?

” The biggest problem is that punishing the RINOs turns the Senate over to the bad guys.” Sad, but somewhat true. Still have the dilemma of voting for the lesser of two evils. If Trump doesn’t prevail in this fiasco, then he or whomever runs for the office again that has the cojones to do the right thing for the country, should run as a third party, no RINOS need apply. Throw the bums out by ballot. Failing that, by whatever means necessary. We surely need a candidate who understands that perpetual economic growth is a fools errand.

      Now this in JAMA:

Science Denial and COVID Conspiracy Theories: Potential Neurological Mechanisms and Possible Responses

“The COVID-19 epidemic reinforces the challenges of science denial. The medical community should mount systematic efforts around science education beginning in childhood and across the lifetime. Scientists, clinicians, and public health experts should engage in dialogue on issues of public health such as masks, vaccines, and medications. Accessible presentations should be part of every medical office and health care system. Attractive and accessible websites that post reliable data on health should counteract the false narratives that harm the health of the US (and other countries). A systematic analysis of “what went wrong” with COVID-19 policies during and after this pandemic is the responsibility of the scientific community. In addition, working with politicians to establish national policies to support rational science is critical. The practice of medicine is at the front line of the national concerns and conflicts surrounding truth and health. When science wins, everyone wins.”

If the public didn’t care that Biden is suffering from dementia and engaged in crooked deals BEFORE they made him the DNC nominee and voted for him, why will they care afterwards? He’s not Trump. Period.

The Dems have Trump just where they want him. If he files suit against the obvious vote tampering, he will be branded a sore-loser. The unsavory elements that support the Dems will then rise up in protest, the riots will restart and Trump will be blamed for this. He will be told that in order for peace to prevail he must concede and walk away.

He had suffered a thrombosis in Oct. 1919 and his wife would not let anyone see him unless she approved. Amendment 25 was enacted to prevent such a thing happening again, but it’s likely that the Democrats would shield him as much as possible. Under those circumstances, the country would probably drift along until the financial implosion that must come will force a situation that not even the combined forces of the left and right can contain. Something that doesn’t feel quite right about your scenario of a total collapse of oil: when the first handful of shale oil players go belly up, won’t the price for a barrel of oil necessarily start to sky rocket? At least high enough where the remaining companies can extract the stuff profitably? Then we’d see consolidation around the handful of giants like ExxonMobil, etc.

Read Gail Tverberg’s blog on why oil prices are likely to stay very low: http://www.ourfiniteworld.com — JHK Admin

Sure, there may be more pain than I can foresee, but at some point a balance will be struck. I’m not buying the idea that ‘oil is over’.

    • JohnAZ November 6, 2020 at 10:20 am #

If the US is pumping less oil then outside sources are pumping more which makes us more dependent. OPEC is still out there getting ready to control the price when our capability to do so fades. World wide oil supply still fills demand, especially with a world locked down with Covid.

Oil is not over, YET. But our control of the fossil fuels market is just about over. Any move by Biden to curtail the oil market in the US will be disastrous for us. Were you here in 73, when a perturbation in the global operation created a near shutdown in the US? This country is not ready for GND and voluntary or involuntary implementation of the program will kill many people.

Let oil run down and you will remember the days of Covid fondly.

Oil is a finite resource, but the idea that we are going to face a crisis anytime soon is absurd.

There has been movement in developing e-vehicles and more-efficient hybrids, but here in the land of the world’s finest automobiles (Germany), the only reason the Big Three are producing fewer V8s and IL- and V6s is that they are being taxed and regulated to death. If the crisis was as imminent as claimed, we’d be in hover cars by now.

I see about 1 Tesla or similar once a month. And the infrastructure for electric vehicles remains abysmal. Oil ain’t going anywhere for a long time.

        • Kim November 6, 2020 at 8:14 pm #

          @ Night Owl

Oil is a finite resource, but the idea that we are going to face a crisis anytime soon is absurd.

The world is already in the oil crisis. It has been in it since the 1970s and all of its manifestations are obvious.

US public and private debt are 390% of GDP. Similar figures for countries around the world.

If we had abundant cheap fossil fuels, why would we be running those debt levels with near-zero interest rates?

What do you think these covid lockdowns and Green agendas are really about? It is about crashing legacy economies, clearing out the legacy economic, social, and political deadwood, “Building Back Better” to streamline and rationalize the old economies for global integration – I am afraid that this means that most US workers are going to be “laid off” from the global economy – and to establish global energy rationing.

Oil ain’t going anywhere for a long time.

It started to go away a very long time ago. And the plan is that what remains will go away for some people but not for others.

          • Night Owl November 7, 2020 at 4:20 am #

I agree about the lockdown — this is the forced “great reset.” But it is not about energy, IMO. It is about control first and foremost. Return to a feudal state.

A global plantation is not required to refocus energy tech.

          • sophia November 7, 2020 at 1:38 pm #

I think Kim and NIghtowl are both right. The lockdowns have more than one goal. But a big change is indeed necessary to get people to accept a very different, low energy lifestyle.

          • Night Owl November 8, 2020 at 3:37 pm #

We may be, soph. The future of energy (as in how/where to get it) is certainly an issue, but I feel control energy (among other things) is far more important.

    • rainmaker November 6, 2020 at 10:42 am #

The peons can’t afford energy products now, considering the wage suppression that has gone on for the last 25 years. Six dollar a gallon gas, anyone, anyone?…

      • FreddieMars November 6, 2020 at 2:30 pm #

Most of Europe pays around the equivalent price, rainmaker. USD equivalent in Germany (average) is $5.35.

        https://www.globalpetrolprices.com/Germany/gasoline_prices/

        • Night Owl November 6, 2020 at 4:29 pm #

But very few buy regular gas, as diesel is mildly subsidized.

The equivalent is about 3.50 a gallon, and with the improved economy of diesel and the short driving distances, the tank lasts a long time.

US gas is heavily subsidized because the country relies on private cars for transportation and most people drive a lot. If that were to change, the market would, too.

US gas is heavily subsidized because…

It is impossible for a master resource to be subsidized by the resource economy it enables. That would be illogical.

    • oilie November 6, 2020 at 10:50 am #

I agree with ripburger, oil is not “over”. All that is going on is that the shale producers destabilized the world oil market by doubling U.S. production at $70/bbl. We have paid well over $100/bbl (in present dollars) in the 1980s and again in the early 2000s. $40 oil kills companies and more than $70 stifles the economy. When the world economy picks back up and the oil glut is worked out, there should be a balance point that keeps the U.S. ticking while producing a lot of shale oil. The thing to remember here is that shale is a huge resource here and has hardly been tapped in other countries. If the rest of our economy doesn’t die of its financial or political wounds, shale oil will be here to fuel it for many decades to come.

      • Kim November 6, 2020 at 8:05 pm #

Shale is produced by zombie companies that have to borrow just to pay the interest on what they already owe.

This is only possible with close-to-zero interest rates. But close-to-zero interest rates destroy the economy. They destroy pensions. They discourage banks from loaning to small and medium sized businesses.

The FOMC has just announced a policy to keep interest rates depressed – via more government money printing – for the next two years. Will this help sustain fracking? It may. But not if low interest rates also depress demand for oil. It’s a snake eating its own tail.

In the meantime, the low interest rates will continue to destroy retirement funds. And the stock market will continue to climb on endless corporate borrowing, thus creatin ever-larger perceived wealth gap between those who own shares and those who don’t.

“shale oil will be here to fuel it for many decades to come”

Utterly impossible. What we will see over the coming decades is the USA reduced to a caste-defined state similar to India in the 1970s.

    • feralandroid November 6, 2020 at 11:50 am #

Oil is not over, we will have it in our lives for a very long time, probably the rest of my life if everything doesn’t collapse. But in a debt based economy you need ever more oil to pay off the interest and the previous debt. We are not finding any new oil reserves, we are just extracting what we already know is there. 2018 will be the peak, and we are on the down slope on the other side. So there will be no growth, just a slow slide to a lower and lower standard of living, while billions starve and the population of the world decreases. The only “growth” will be a mirage created by expanding debt until the debt bubble pops.

Read Kunstler’s long emergency books if you don’t understand.

    • Tate November 6, 2020 at 1:06 pm #

There’s an old oil field in southern Cal that’s been producing for well over 100 years. They said it was ‘over’ a half-century ago but it just keeps producing. People who don’t understand how probable reserves get estimated can’t figure this out.

Want to see how capable the Left is now in manipulating the vote?

Watch the Senate races in Georgia. Look at the Red Blue map to see how many areas are urban and blue, that is where the fraud is occurring. Just like Philly.

Echoing points Kunstler has made before, there is great opportunity for those clever enough to adapt to the new, smaller, localized systems that will necessarily replace the overblown mess we are in now. Were we able to come back from the dead 100 years from now I doubt we’d recognize the place. Enough young people have said, “good riddance” to my suggestion of this path to give me optimism.

Jim, your prose is as sharp as ever. But your analysis of this situation is frankly rather…..dumb. I’m old fashioned and put on a shirt and tie and voted on election day, but what the hell is wrong with mailing your vote in? And, make fun of Biden’s old age all you want, but compare the dignity and poise of these two men in the last 48 hours. If you prefer the frothing treasonous orange baboon, you’ve clearly lost all sense of judgment, and are deep in the throes of a Fox News senescence yourself.

    • JohnAZ November 6, 2020 at 10:32 am #

The problem with mail in is that there is no surveillance between the time the ballots are mailed and are counted. Lost ballots, stolen ballots, changed ballots are all possible as political zealots in the USPS learn how to manipulate.

A good start to making mail in work is to establish rules, make violations felonies with jail time and enforce the rules.

Fat chance in this corrupt country. Mail in is just another way to cheat and get away with it.

“…voted on election day, but what the hell is wrong with mailing your vote…”

      Nose,

Not a damned thing if the correct mechanisms are in place in all 50 states.

If experience in mail-in elections was evident in all 50 states.

If the safe-guards required and understood from hard experience was evident in all 50 states.

A methodology is required to successfully (read “accurately”) pull off the mail-in vote. Oregon has it, and has refined the method for many years. It can be trusted. Any bureaucracy will have major issues with a massive new system hurriedly put into place…mail in voting.

That it was a new, untried system to dozens of states is what the hell was wrong with mailing your vote….

      • Exscotticus November 8, 2020 at 6:16 pm #

“Oregon has it, and has refined the method for many years.’

This is simply false. All states have experience with absentee ballots. No states have had successful experiences ramping up this effort by an order of magnitude, and sending unsolicited ballots on top of that.

Pennsylvania Supreme Court says ballots can’t be rejected based on signature comparisons

This ruling was effectively a licence to steal the election. No one claims untrained personnel should decide what sigs are valid. But they should certainly escalate suspicious sigs up the chain for validation. And this validation should certainly happen BEFORE the ballot is accepted! PA courts essentially nullified sig requirements and PA’s method of authentication.

Nose: I live in WA state where we have had only mail in voting for about the last 8 years. What happens in our elections is exactly what is happening now nationally. Very unpopular candidates – like many Seattle city council members will be losing at the close of election day by large margins. Miraculously, by the following day, ballots will be “discovered” that provide those candidates winning margins. NO ONE audits our elections; NO ONE knows exactly how or whether the votes are actually checked against rolls or addresses.

The largest problem is that there is no longer any ability to truly know whether large numbers of people are able to or are voting their conscious as we no longer have secret ballots. Let me give you an example: If you have a household with 5 voting age adults, you could easily have a dominant person in that household (or if most people in the household just don’t care about their vote) simply fill in all of the ballots and have the other people in the household sign the ballot. OR, let’s say my husband and I move to a different state. There is no requirement to “deregister” in WA, so another family moves into our home. They register; they get their ballots. They also receive ballots sent to us at our former address. Now, they have 2 extra ballots they can vote. Because there is no auditing that happens, maybe the signatures they sign get checked and maybe they don’t.

That’s just the stuff that can happen where there is no way to know how to verify whether 1 person 1 vote is occurring. Then, there is the very real possibility that people can go to apartment buildings or just house to house in relatively poor neighborhoods and just straight up offer cash for signed ballot envelopes and then fill them in or have them already filled in.

Why not do this when the consequences of getting caught are so light and the risk of even getting caught is so low? While the rewards are immense.

So, what the hell is wrong with mailing in your vote? I’ve just given you 3. There are many, many more.

There are always problems/glitches, etc in massive elections like this one, but the immense fraud that is unraveling in front of our eyes right now is staggering even for someone as jaded as I am.

THIS is why neither Biden nor Harris felt any need to actually campaign. THIS is why they are pushing for Trump to just give in. They know what they’ve done and are counting on people like you to shrug and say – “I just don’t see the problem here.”

  14. Vadrosaul November 6, 2020 at 10:09 am #

America is so far gone into their collective circle-jerks that the country has achieved mass orgy status across its two poles. As outlined by Mr. Kunstler, it is no longer capable of holding those in power to account for anything, and no longer has a powerful fifth estate worthy of sniffing the true meaning of journalism.

Thus the old USofA is no longer a bastion of anything. It is as corrupt as Russia and as savage as a banana republic. The USA is only better at painting veneers over itself, and now that paint is peeling.

I seriously think the only hope to salvage the country is a coup d’etat by a savvy military leader, a Cromwell figure who will preside over half-a-generation of (hopefully) empirical and rationale fiat. With that comes the threat of tyranny. That threat is a consequence of the emotional ineptitude and useful idiotry of the US populace.

    • Yohannon November 6, 2020 at 12:29 pm #

I hate to break it to you JHK but “NO ONE” is going to jail. How am I SO sure? Because the United States of America is no longer a Republic. It has over the decades become a Banana Republic.

And with all Banana Republic’s this is the type of bullshit you see and get. The bad guys if not always, they usually win in a Banana Republic.

The voter fraud is so blatantly obvious, even Stevie Wonder could see it. So all we have going forward is as you said more lockdowns, maybe going Boris Johnson and giving free money to everyone to keep them at home.

But make NO mistake, this is not about voter fraud or Joe Biden and the Dems stealing the election, which is actually pretty amusing seeing how the United States goes around the world sticking its nose in other elections DEMANDING “free, honest and open elections”. LMAO !

No this is not about the Biden’s or the United States becoming a Banana Republic.

……………This is all about “The Great Reset”. It has begun and the players behind the scene are now pulling the levers. This is their chance to change history and the Klaus Schwab along with Bill Gates are in the drivers seat.

IMHO, the Mexican cartels have big grins on their faces.

Think about it. MS13 is taking over the New York area. MS13, the rabid branch of the cartels. They are taking over the place of the Mob in NYC. In Chicago, the primary enemy recognized by the Black gangs is MS13 and the cartels trying to take over the drug trade.

I made the statement four years ago here that control of the illicit trades, especially drugs, by the globalist elements in the US is the real political big picture of the Deep State. They need the bucks to pay minimum payments on their $26000000000000 debt. That is the US portion of a global financial disaster in the making. Without this liquidity from the illicit trades, the whole house of cards collapses.

Locally, drugs took a big step forward with more states legalizing marijuana and others starting to threaten legalizing hard drugs. A good measure of the morality of this country may be to watch the advance of drug acceptance by the people of America.

The cartels are grinning widely as the results of the Mexican war are being reversed.

      • SW November 6, 2020 at 11:10 am #

As marijuana is legalized, the small growers are being pushed out with huge fees and dropping prices for their crops. The big boys are coming in and taking over and as soon as that happens to a high percentage, then the banks will suddenly be able to set up accounts for them for the huge profits they’re generating. So well have our very own legalized, privatized drug cartel. Oregon decriminalized small amounts of heroin and meth this election cycle.

        • JohnAZ November 6, 2020 at 11:58 am #

Soon we will be a nation of zoned out druggies who do not care what happens to them as long as they have their drugs. Hollywood is a shining example of that as we speak.

“A demoralized American people will finally see the mind-fucking they’ve been subjected to and will rise to save themselves from the ground up, with or without their government.”

I hate to be contrarian Mr. K but I don’t think this will be possible if the current, so far mostly bloodless coup is allowed to stand. If an election can be stolen blatantly and shamelessly in the open without any major reaction from a squishy, apathetic, resigned public then you can be certain that all manner of blatant totalitarian power grabs and usurpations will be unleashed. If the coup is allowed to stand China is poised as the greatest winner. That is why the Chinese yuan is rallying bigly right now. If the coup stands the tenets of free speech, freedom of association, and even freedom of thought will quickly evaporate. Not to even speak of what will be the total annihilation of the right to keep and bear arms. The power that is apparently barging into the front door doesn’t believe in any rights that are not given by them. Any and all opposition to them will be mercilessly crushed should they attain power. A process of systematic intimidation — just what we’re seeing in large corporations and all universities where people are denounced for hate speech (a professor was fired for reading MLK’s letter from jail) and censored, fired or required to attend “sensitivity seminars” which are nothing more than re-education day camps.

At this point I’m not sure there is a reason to do anything. Perhaps it is better to just let it all collapse and see if there is a way to develop a new nation out of the rubble if possible. In any circumstance it appears to be a very steep hill. Trump will have to do something drastic to stop what is unfolding and I’m not certain what will be. I think there is a lot of disruption coming personally. Maybe America breaks up as you mentioned on the last thread.

Official race hustling and gender identity struggle sessions in the federal agencies? Campaigns against “whiteness?” Endless lockdowns and a new round of global misadventures in “nation building?”

You answered your own question, Jim. That’s exactly what you get. But that list can be added to — fines for not complying with whatever “for your own good/we know what’s best for you” covid restrictions, a Nancy Pelosi sponsored special investigation into corruption in the Trump administration (that will keep MSNBC et al busy and providing distraction for years) and a brand new list of people who are not allowed to work without proof of covid vaccination.

Yep. A very hard national lockdown is coming which will essentially have people under house arrest with jail time and bankrupting penalties for infractions. Meanwhile the street thugs and paramilitary wing of the coup will be free to roam the streets burning and looting what remains of any and all businesses not compliant with the coup. Then comes the house to house action as part of their game plan has been to make very extensive nationwide lists of people who have supported President Trump or who have failed to otherwise totally support the coup. This has all been posted publicly online for a long time.

Just when it looks like Biden is losing, An INSTANT spike for Biden and NOTHING for trump at the very very end. Mathematical wonder indeed. I wonder if they realized they screwed up in Michigan and Wisconsin with this obvious and egregious falsification, and therefore decided to have a gradual surge of votes in the final few hours in Pennsylvania and Georgia, rather than an instant inexplicable spike.

Fox’s calling Arizona when it did had the same effect.

  25. sstumpff November 6, 2020 at 11:15 am #

    Two things.

“The Attorney General, Mr. Barr, warned the country months ago in so many words that mail-in voting would invite massive fraud, and so it has gone, but exactly as predicted, in plain sight, shamelessly.”

Am I the only one that thinks we are talking orders of magnitude when talking voter fraud? In other words, ten 181 yo dead voters in Michigan or 50 retired sharpie users in Arizona are relatively irrelevant?

    Also:

“Leaving Kamala Harris in the oval office, a candidate so visibly unpopular that she dropped out of the primaries before the Iowa caucuses.”

A popular leader leaving so a disliked and unelectable 2nd in command can take over actually worked out for us in Iowa. Maybe, Kamala will too.

    [Ok, let’s hear it]

  26. catharsis November 6, 2020 at 11:22 am #

JHK and other have failed to explain how the ‘fraudulent’ votes somehow allowed Republicans to flip House seats, hold on to the Senate and not lose a single Statehouse. If the Dems were stealing the election why would they allow this to happen? The simple answer is that more people revile Trump than worship him. The election was not about Reps vs Dems – it was about having an actual psychotic as President.

A Biden presidency won’t solve much, other than providing relief from the anxiety of having the country run by the whims of a narcissistic sociopath.

Post-election, it is the Rep. Senate that will be the biggest threat to the country. It will not deal sufficiently with the COVID crisis, or provide the necessary economic stimulus to save the economy, or address climate change. It will be just like the McConnell Senate during the Obama years, whose only purpose was to deny the President any legislation, good or bad – the people be damned.

    • Rupert November 6, 2020 at 11:24 am #

They only needs rig one race, really. There is always a bit of mismatch between top of the ballot and down ballot races, but it’s usually less than a percent.

We have several states now, all places where the counting was ‘stopped’ and tomfoolery is underway, where Mr. Biden is up 100k+ relative his party’s performance down ballot, without any noted crossover- hundreds of thousands of individuals who /only/ voted for president and no other office, all leaning towards Mr. Biden.

This is extremely unusual to say the least, worth investigation and audit.

    • feralandroid November 6, 2020 at 12:11 pm #

Actually this is something the Dems need to explain. How do you have Biden numbers going up over 100k overnight but not have the numbers of any of the senators going up? 100% of the ballots were for Biden and did left the down ballot blank? Not likely.

  27. Pucker November 6, 2020 at 11:23 am #

Best case scenario: No fraud, but what it looks like: Trumps leading on election night, but in the wee hours of the morning, they stop counting the ballots ostensibly because “they need to get some sleep” (which is ridiculous and absurd on its face). Slowly, Trumps lead is miraculously eroded and the absentee ballots overwhelmingly come in in favor of Biden. In some cases, literally thousands of ballots materialize all in favor of Biden and zero for Trump, which is impossible. Republican observers clamor to observe the process, but they are repeatedly thwarted. Guiliani gets a Court Order to allow Republican observers view the process in Pennsylvania, but he is again denied in contravention of the Court Order. In Pennsylvania, the low IQ drones counting the ballots literally tape pizza boxes to the windows to obscure any observation of their shenanigans. (Fat people love pizza.). This all in the context of Attorney General Barr, Tulsi Gabbard, Trump, and others having vociferously warned months ahead of the election of potential problems with absentee ballots. It’s so blatant. You can’t make this shit up. What a disaster! If you’re going to cheat, at least try to cheat competently. The Americans look incredibly dishonest, incompetent, and dumb. What a trifecta…. Dumb motherfuckers….

      • freetrapper November 6, 2020 at 6:44 pm #

How about this equally blatant scenario:

        1) Trump warns without basis (when did this many ever need any basis for what he says?) that mail-in voting will lead to fraud and is not needed anyways cos who’s afraid of a pandemic his actions have allowed to run amok in his country anyways? So Trump voters (people who think every word that comes from this pathological liar’s mouth is gospel) do their voting primarily at the ballot box on election day. These ballots are first to be counted and are naturally in favor of Trump;

        2) Meanwhile Biden, correctly identifying the pandemic as a real threat, endorses mail-in voting. His electorate agree with him that this makes some sense and account for most of the absentee ballots;

        3) It is only logical that ballots counted after election day will favor Biden.

Come on folks, this takes no great visionary to see.

Looking from the outside, American politics have taken a dark turn. Close to half the voters will not accept that the result of the election as legitimate.

Both parties will be discredited out of this dumpster fire of an election. The good news is that there is an opportunity for a new populist party to bring together both Trumpeters and Bernie Bros into something that will advocate for ordinary people. Surely in a nation of 330+ million people there are a few people who can organize a new approach to politics now that the old establishment is thoroughly discredited. That would be better than civil disorder or open revolt.

The Bernie Bros are classical Communists. In other words, fools and true believers. What’s coming is real Communism, namely corruption and terror.

      • Amman November 6, 2020 at 1:06 pm #

There was no pandemic. It was and has always been a cynical “PLANdemic.” PCR tests, death statistics, media hype – all this was planned, faked and employed as an Global Political Force against the Trump-USA and the rest of the World. It will be, ultimately, all in vain.

        • Screech and Tiptoes November 6, 2020 at 1:14 pm #

You should tell a roomful of victims families that. Maybe without an armed escort.

          • jeff2002 November 6, 2020 at 2:04 pm #

There are many reasons why the death count is so high, and likely inflated. Over 40% of US deaths occurred in nursing homes, which were poorly protected. Up to 30% of excess deaths were due not to the virus, but to the effects of lockdowns (including delayed medical diagnoses, treatments, and “deaths of despair” from lost livelihoods), and the full effects of lockdowns are not yet known. Fatal mismanagement of the virus (through ill-advised intubation of patients) also led to many preventable deaths. Hospitals were given financial incentives to diagnose Covid-19 as cause of death, even without a positive lab test or autopsy. For starters.

But the real smoking gun is the CDC’s sudden change, in March, to its ICD coding guidance for filling out death certificates, which threw in the trash the longstanding Medical Examiner’s and Coroner’s Handbook in favor of new, very broad guidance that effectively inverted the importance of co-morbidities in cause of death. (There are many places you can read about this, but I’m happy to provide links.)

The changes were expressed most bluntly by Illinois Department of Public Health director Dr. Ngozi Ezike, who said in April, “Technically even if you died of a clear alternate cause, but you had Covid at the same time, it’s still listed as a Covid death. So, everyone who’s listed as a Covid death doesn’t mean that that was the cause of the death, but they had Covid at the time of death.” Huh?

The plandemic is a typical viral flue season phenomena. Worse than some, better than some others. It is totally media driven hype and bullshit. All about politics and power. In my own locale, I don’t personally know anyone who has died from Covid, fuck covid, let’s call it what it is, the flu. I have several friends who tested positive for it and became sick as in a typical flu. They all recovered quickly(week or two). Their ages ranged from early 30’s to mid 60’s. We should have followed the path taken by Sweden and a few others. The lockdowns are insane. I don’t need an armed escort.

Christallmighty, the hyperbole on the website is getting nauseating. Have you no faith in America? No faith in your fellow countrymen?

It’s the kind partisan rhetoric emanating from websites like this, added to the equal and opposite rhetoric emanating from the other side, that is actually the greatest danger to our country. Dangerous in that it normalizes the the spread of charges without evidence. Dangerous in that it normalizes hatred toward those holding different opinions. Dangerous in that it normalizes an unwillingness to find common ground with fellow countrymen so the country can move in whatever ways possible in a fairer, more equitable, and more prosperous direction. And dangerous in that it subordinates attention to the real problems that face us — the hollowing out of the US economy, the destruction of its currency, the dismantling of its culture, the rampant obesity, the ongoing healthcare and education rackets and many, many others — to made-up wedge issues.

If you want to see where America’s real problem lies, go look in a mirror.

Their military success has led them into military adventurism. Their technological success has led them into overproduction. Their economic success has led them into complacency, greed, and a host of lifestyle issues rooted in overconsumption and indolence. They wiped out smallpox. They reduced polio from a feared affliction to a disease mainly found in third world countries with poor sanitation.

Hey, we have a lot of problems here, including problems arising from political partisanship, race relations, and government by oligarchy. But saying “white folk have pretty much bollixed up everything they have touched in America” is a pretty one-sided view. And in my view, a deliberately misleading one.

Ironic that the deep thinker on display here is using the internet on a computer powered by electricity… all inventions/discoveries of white folk. The list of inventions by whites is of course quite extensive and the modern world as we know it simply would not exist without that exceptional race.

If screechy is a POC™, his resentment is rather understandable. When your civilizational contributions have topped out at the stone ax, one quite naturally envies a culture that has produced so much. The realization, deep down, that you simply cannot compete with that level of excellence is no doubt quite painful (hence the need for “decolonized” science, affirmative action, etc, etc). Alas, life isn’t fair and all men are not quite created equal.

If screechy is white, then ladies and gentlemen, I give you the atrophy of the soul born of too much comfort, an existential hot-house flower contemptuous of the very men whose efforts enabled a delicate existence that the cruelties of nature would never permit.

Either way, this type shall soon pass from the earth. We are in the weak-men-create-hard-times phase of things. Yet the wheel turns and the rough beast, strong men, slouch again toward Bethlehem to be born…

And oh yes, the problem of battery storage has been solved. Biden plans on going balls to the wall alt energy, which includes decommissioning nuclear, coal, natgas and oil fired power plants. Any blackouts and brownouts that occur in the future are the fault of saboteurs and white supremacists. Got it?

Biden recognizes the perils of an oil-based economy so like most forward-thinking countries he means to set us on a proper and careful path. Not party like it’s 1955

Who can possibly quarrel with that?

      • JohnAZ November 6, 2020 at 12:57 pm #

Just about anyone that understands energy. JHK is a good start. Michael Moore is another, Planet of the Humans got him into hot water for telling the truth.

Were you around in 1973 or the 1980s during the two oil crises? I doubt it because of your ignorant statement.

Without oil in abundance, this country shuts down. Biden has already backed off his ignorant statements on fracking. Maybe you should think a little more on your statement.

        • Screech and Tiptoes November 6, 2020 at 1:17 pm #

The energy density of oil will require that it be around for awhile yet – base load generation by renewables is still nascent but improving all the time.

Oil will trend out naturally assuming we don’t hire another Trump to throw sand in the gears.

What’s the energy situation in Australia? I understand you are making some pretty hefty swag selling coal to China and India, in fact they are buying every ton you mine.

            @ Freddie Mars

I don’t understand the point of your outburst.

Australia produces very little oil indeed. It is trivial in the scheme of things and always has been and has never been an important part of the economy.

But Australia does produce very considerable amounts of coal. It is in fact a world leader in coal production and in 2019 exported $70 billion dollars of coal, much of it to China and East Asia, thereby exporting almost 80% of its production.

The coal that Australia exports is widely burnt in China, which has a very large number of coal-burning electricity generators.

In Australia, by contrast, most coal fired power generation plants have been shut down or are slated to be shut down as the country converts to wind and solar for its electricty generation.

As a result, while China and India – countries to which Australia exports coal – are among the countries that have the cheapest electricty in the world, the cost of electricity in Australia, which exports that coal, is among the highest.

            https://www.ovoenergy.com/guides/energy-guides/average-electricity-prices-kwh.html

With this explanation, I am sure that you can now understand my point about the imperial center and the resource periphery:

While Imperial China enjoys a booming industrial infrastructure and higher standard of living thanks to cheap Australia coal, Peripheral Australia herself has been stripped of industries and most now suffer regular, statewide brown-outs. She is no longer allowed to use even the abundant coal that she herself produces.

            Your apology is accepted.

The plan is to have plenty of fossil fuel energy for China and very little for the USA.

China as the center of manufacturing and the USA as quarry and farm.

In that system, 330 million people is far in excess of requirements and cannot be supported at even-close-to present living standards.

Get ready for a big step down.

This was why Trump had to go, no matter how blatant the fraud and censorship and Orwellian messaging was. Because he could have – and was – instituting US independence from the globalist economic system.

  39. volodya November 6, 2020 at 12:44 pm #

Does anyone remember anchors on mainstream media (outside of Fox News) trumpeting the term “baseless accusations” in connection to assertions of Russian collusion? I don’t.

There was a level of credulity shown by these seasoned news people that would be uncommon to find even among ten year olds. They took what was on its face the most preposterous allegation, one that made no sense whatsoever even to ordinary joes like me, and ran with it, not applying the most minimal common sense reasoning.

Did colluding with Russians to win an American presidential election make even the slightest sense? What on earth could Russians do that couldn’t be done by Americans? What expertise did Russians have that couldn’t be found right underfoot in the good ole USA?

And, as it turned out, the accusation came to nothing, looking exactly like what it actually was, an attempt to overturn the 2016 election. Trump an authoritarian? Bullshit. A threat to our democracy? More bullshit. Subverting the Constitution? Utter bullshit.

So now the msm is crowing about baseless accusations of vote fraud. But given what happened, given the past behavior of Trump’s opponents, why is it so outlandish to surmise that there is indeed a boatload of vote-fraud afoot, committed by the same fraudsters as before, or people aligned with them, with the same media organizations “banging the drum”, as JHK sez, as they did with this Russian collusion baloney, to divert attention and tilt this thing in Biden’s favor? This would be deja vu all over again, fraud being the modus operandi of those desperate to win.

Remember how they all said that the walls were closing in on Trump, that indictments were imminent?

    • Screech and Tiptoes November 6, 2020 at 12:46 pm #

Oh, there was a ton of voter fraud – but you see, it was only in the Biden states.

Young Americans don’t seem to read nor have any meaningful sources of information or salubrious male influences. They seem to spend their free time playing those violent computer games. The Sandy Hook shooter, Adam Lanza, liked to play the following computer games: Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 2, Combat Arms, World of Warcraft, Warcraft, Star-Craft, and Warcraft III. He literally played hundreds of hours of these games. Apparently, some of the games such as Modern Warfare 2 are used by the US military to practice on and are used for weapons training. His online persona used to play against competitors was called “Kaynbred”.

I recently asked one of the kids at the dinner table whether he and his friends play(ed) the same violent computer games that the Sandy Hook shooter, Adam Lanza, played? In other words, whether he and his friends have any kind of “affinity” with a deranged mass murderer of first graders? He responded: “Yeah, but not everyone who plays those computer games becomes a mass murderer.”

I guess that it’s “The Luck of the Draw”?

I’m sure that the US Deep State has studied this question extensively.

The warcraft series are not first person shooters nor is starcraft.
They are resource gathering and strategy.
Blizzard made a mint with these games and Word of Warcraft which still has 5 million people playing it.
For the most part harmless except they are time sinks that can be used for productive means.

It may not go to the level of loincloth as business attire, but the direction is abundantly clear, with dishonesty rampant, it could descend to Italianate levels of corruption.

Never mind the common view of the place as sunshine and pasta and wine and amore, the ordinary citizen contends with mind-boggling levels of sloth and indifference and criminality. That’s where the US of A could go, with business done with Uzis, elections a joke, securities markets worse still, the elite doing what they like, stealing what they want, immune to prosecution, with the courts protecting them and law enforcement a contradiction in terms.

You can’t just “run to the Supreme Court” – doesn’t work that way.

Any judge in his right mind will throw these ridiculous suits out.

Next for Trump is all those pesky indictments. He’ll be spending a lot of time in jail soon.

US Supreme Court can have original jurisdiction once in a while, those cases are enumerated in Article III, section 2

The US education system is basically an education system largely stripped of reading? Or, at least, students emerge from it incurious and disinterested in reading? Bizarre….

    • Rupert November 6, 2020 at 1:31 pm #

Hardly bizarre, perfectly usual. We sought a broadly educated population when this was a republic of free Englishmen, it is now the seat of global empire and we are to be subjects and ‘consumers’, not citizens.

The rights and responsibilities of citizenship, as such, are to be revoked and replaced. A responsibility of a subject is obedience immediate and unthinking, not reasoned consideration.

First time poster and I want to know:

What will the NYT write about with a Biden win?
What if the sitting President releases all the information he has about RussiaGate and that pesky laptop?
He can still fire all the people who need to be fired. Will he?

Now imagine if that laptop and been belonged to Jared.
Imagine if all those “found” ballots were marked 100% Trump?

Are those counted ballots being archived?

I mailed in my ballot like I always do and it goes about two miles to get processed at the giant USPS hub. What’s the postmark date on the “found” ballots?

I hate to be a pain in the ass but I have questions that need to be answered with facts. Maybe that’s because I grew up watching the Viet Nam war on tv only to be told decades later by the architects of said war that it was all a lie.

II have great respect for our host here, and have learned much from Jim for over thirteen years, but it has reached the point at which his continued credulity is poignant.

There will never be any exoneration for the victims of Russiagate, or punishment for the malefactors who have perpetrated it. There will be no further investigation of the Bidens, much less comeuppance for their chicanery.

In a few months we will have a President Harris who nobody wanted, but the public will not even question the legitimacy of her path to the Oval Office.

A demoralized American people will never grock the mind-fucking they’ve been subjected to and or rise to save themselves from the ground up, except as pockets of rugged individuals capable of having each others’ backs in a sea of disfunction, if not savagery.

And, just for the record, there never was any reason to suppose that Obama had earned our trust, twelve years ago.

“America walked wide-eyed into this signal institutional failure, the one that lowers us to the level of places in the world where the loincloth is a business suit and the only instrument of persuasion is a machete.”

In 2020 even more so than in other years, America was faced with a tragic choice. Voting for a man who sees the entire world through the polluted lens of his massively inflated ego, or a man who is way past his Due Date and his giddy socialist sidekick. What to do? Hold your nose and vote for one of these losers/mistakes, or turn your back on the entire sordid affair and just hunker down for the inevitable fallout that will turn America darker for many years ahead. When there is no choice, you are confronted with your own powerlessness to stop the bleeding. Like an incoming meteor that you are on a collision with, you simply accept that it is going to have its way with you and you just hope that there is something left of you and the planet after the collision.

“…Mr. Barr, warned the country months ago in so many words that mail-in voting would invite massive fraud, and so it has gone…”

In America, we’ve always had election fraud. You could do it the old Chicago Mayor Daley way back in 1960 with magically appearing ballots from the deceased, or you can do it the 2020 modern way of Covid-phobia mail-in madness. If we still have elections years from now, they will no doubt come up with other creative ways to skew the results and install Their Chosen Choice to warm up and hold the big chair for the usual Deep State powers who will prevail regardless of what anyone else wants or does.

“…what do you get with Joe Biden and the Democratic Party running the US government?”

Watch some of those old 1950s horror movies. That will give us all a good idea of what’s coming.

“A demoralized American people will finally see the mind-fucking they’ve been subjected to and will rise to save themselves from the ground up, with or without their government.”

You give Americans a lot of credit here. Not sure where the evidence is for this kind of response. We’ve had a succession of generational rot since The Greatest Generation and that trend will continue with the all the little “dear ones” being born today. All we have left now is a public that suffers from PTSD and just wants someone else to stop all the pain.

    • Screech and Tiptoes November 6, 2020 at 2:11 pm #

  52. Screech and Tiptoes November 6, 2020 at 2:16 pm #

Even after that appalling spectacle last night where the Leader of the Free World whined like a 7-year old who’s crayon box had just been stolen, he could still reclaim a shard of dignity by conceding.

Of course he won’t His idiot sons won’t let him. Same with the rest of his enablers.

So we look forward to Trump further disgracing himself and the office as this wraps up.

    • SoftStarLight November 6, 2020 at 2:22 pm #

And yet still you are imprinted with hatred for him so he wins and will always win within you for that very reason. You are occupied. While I also dislike Biden and Harris with fervor I just can’t see thinking about them quite as much. I simply hope their goals for the country are completely thwarted and defeated. I also think Joe’s dementia is sad and he looks really bad when he speaks and Kamala just comes off as bitchy, petty, rude and honestly quite trifling.

      • Screech and Tiptoes November 6, 2020 at 2:30 pm #

So glad to see that you have taken the high road here.

Socialism is really the only righteous path for America. Joe and Kamela will get that started.

        It is an exciting time.

        • SoftStarLight November 6, 2020 at 2:42 pm #

Depending on your definition of exciting, though crisis can be exhilarating I admit. I don’t per se have an issue with socialism. It could be good if it was done honestly, transparently and in a society built on a lot of trust. And there you go. We don’t have that. But more importantly, socialism is not what Biden or Harris are about. They are completely in the bag for the Big Banks, Big Tech and Media, and Big Business. As much as you hate him Trump is right about their support for that ticket. A lot of deals were made. So they are compromised and beholden to billionaire globalist oligarchs. That is not a sustainable recipe for the socialism that it sounds like you wish for.

          • Screech and Tiptoes November 6, 2020 at 2:46 pm #

You are so right. Joe and Kamela are already bought and paid for. The creeping rot is ready to take over the swamp – an appealing visage.

We go forward with brand-new Chinese-made hip-waders. Biden has scammed us all. He is no good. A creep. He cannot hold a candle to that towering figure of morals and ethics, Donald J. Trump.

          • Yohannon November 6, 2020 at 2:54 pm #

Every time someone tries to talk about Biden, you people start raving about Trump. The binaries! You hate us more than you love yourselves.

What could you say in defense of Biden after all? Nothing!

            Hatred has triumphed over love.

          • SoftStarLight November 6, 2020 at 4:39 pm #

I never said DJT was a towering figure of morals and ethics. But at least he has made it very clear that he will not stand for the globalist institutions, mega corporations, and bankers running over and destroying the middle and working classes. That seems to me to be a bigger expression of morals and ethics than selling yourself to the highest bidder for monetary gain and power. Joe Biden has enriched himself in making deals with all of these people during his half century in office while selling out taxpayers. And Kamala was busy enjoying incarcerating weed smokers and freeing killers of the cops who were apprehending the weed smokers for her pleasure.

It is true that hatred triumphs over love for you. That is a chastisement on you for looking the over way when countenancing such horrific crimes. And thus you are judged.

Trump could have prematurely declared victory via a pre-taped speech in front of a bunch of empty cars, too. And if he’d done that first, Biden would be the one looking whiny. All about perception, not truth.

Trump will concede when he runs out of options, or when the SC rules it. Same happened to Gore in 2000. But even evidence and testimony from the highest levels of election personnel (even if it’s the actual people who committed the purported fraud) won’t change the Biden voters’ minds now that they got their popsicle and commence to trashing anyone who didn’t vote for Biden.

Fun to be on the winning side. Even if you’re an smug, pompous ass about it. Hence, the current state of America. And further hence (it would appear), you.

I enjoyed JIm Kunstler’s dystopian trilogy novels and the non-fiction book, The Long Emergency. I used to follow this blog regularly. But something has gone wrong with Jim to have become a Trump supporter. If his thinking has become this flawed, I am doubting his judgement and his predictions about everything.

    • sdf November 6, 2020 at 3:08 pm #

Same. I stopped after the fictional trilogy, which I did thoroughly enjoy. Uncertain that his latest non-fiction books are really that insightful or meaningful as his classics.. I haven’t given them a try yet so I can’t say for sure. But this blog becoming increasingly partisan has sure not made me eager to delve into his latest works. Jim needs to take a long hard look at both parties. What has Trump done to prepare us for the long emergency? If anything, all his environmental deregulation has just sped up climate change. Along with his outright denial of the facts surrounding climate science, he sure as hell has not prepared Americans either mentally or physically for what is to come. Trump played into identity politics way too much, wasting time, while non-stop golfing and tweeting, and is guilty of what the left is also being blamed for.

      • Rupert November 6, 2020 at 3:19 pm #

If he’d been able to pursue it, cutting immigration and encouraging separation from the global system would have been a big boon to dealing with the issue.

The more we globalize and the more people we import, the worse the fallout from scarcity becomes.

        • sdf November 6, 2020 at 3:54 pm #

I hope Joe Biden comes out tonight and says he won the election fair and square. After of course letting it slip that he had set up the biggest voter fraud organization in history recently. Maybe the quiet is because all things are being consolidated for the solid case. Such things do take time especially since the media says video is proof of nothing and nothing out of the ordinary has happened anyway even though they are very openly and shamelessly simply counting “votes” until they get Biden over the line days and days after the election was supposed to be over.

‘”Biden’s entire argument for the presidency, and it’s a powerful one, is his opponent. This week’s election is not a choice between “light or darkness,” but “pretty much anything or Donald Trump…”’

Powerful indeed. Trump puts the capital “S” in Scum-of-the-earth. Anything but a destroyed people wouldn’t let him win at legionhall bingo, regardless of affiliation. No healthy human being could put an “X” next to his name without their body turning terminally septic on them in the next breath.

Trump’s lawsuit claims have already been chucked out of a couple courts for the patent democracy-undermining nonsense they are.

            Provable how now, exactly?

I am aware that you are only vaguely aware of what those terms refer to, so we’ll let those specifics slide.

Globalism is in fact a second Counter-Reformation. It requires the end of the nation state and the end of freedom of conscience with absolute power – including tightly controlled power over belief/confession – passing back up into the hands of absolute autocrats.

In Europe, some senior globalist figures are literally descendants of the same aristocracy that fought it all out last time.

But I am pretty sure that you will understand only dimly anything of what I just wrote.

Biden is in, Trump is out. Judges have already thrown out some lawsuits for lack of evidence of fraud. There was most likely some fraud, but not enough so that it would actually change the outcome of the election. Biden is almost four million votes up. Trump will have to perform some kind of trickery, hypnosis, razzle dazzle, or outright fraud himself to change the numbers.

Keep in mind that even if he does, history books written around 2050-60 will contain the fact that the last time a Republican won the popular vote was in 2004 with George Bush. The tri, or die centennial if you will, will exert its own political, social, and economic realignments if they haven’t already occurred. It will be the time of rebels and tyrants.

I wonder how Trump must feel, losing to old Joe, a washed up waste of a wisp and a corrupt one at that. He will, he must, cover that loss with allegations of ballot fraud, cover it with something. Yes, Trump is tough and a fighter, but he’s now a loser, and winning, winning, winning is out the window, and now if certain prosecutors want to persist, Hillary will be shouting, ‘they locked him up, they locked him up’!

Trump wore his ego instead of the mask, and the magnitude of his mistake will become all the more apparent after the Democrats work their power. I mean really, fuggedaboutit if we lose the Senate. I won’t dicker with the dummkopfs over the mask, just a waste of time. Why couldn’t Trump see that people wanted to be healthy, that they wanted to remain alive and out of the hospital, and that they saw things getting more and more out of control months before election day? It’s difficult to put a number on, but I believe that a 5-6 million vote loss because of his handling of the virus is not unreasonable.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around it, even though I kind of saw it coming. Trump loses to Biden, with Harris already halfway to the White House. Absolutely astounding! But then the Democrats worked it well. Riots, looting, shooting, arson, all under Trump. Trump, the terrible, toxic white male whose culture must be cancelled. Trump the racist, and Trump the divider. Yeah, they worked it well alright.

The ‘old America’ is now gone. I can’t say that Trump would have won if he had handled the virus better, but I can say that it would have been much closer. Be that as it may, we now have Biden-Harris unless we want to fight, which I don’t see happening. Sure, we can roadblock the Dems if we hold the Senate, but that’s about all we can do. We simply don’t have the formula yet to beat these bastards.

All of the ‘gate’ perpetraitors will walk free, and we will be imprisoned by the Left. Republicans and conservatives and Christians will be ancien regime, and we will now live in a state of abominable anomie.

    • Yohannon November 6, 2020 at 6:29 pm #

The Democrats didn’t have to work a damn thing with Trump. He’s always been nauseating scum, a puffed up sack of all the worst known human traits. Anyone reading about him as far back as the 1980’s knew that.

That he was elected President is a stunning symptom of how far gone America already was before he took office. And now in no small part thanks to him, the state of the country – the world – is in even worse shape. The symptom become the disease.

      • tucsonspur November 6, 2020 at 9:51 pm #

No, they did have to work a damn thing. They worked at making the country weary with their riots, with their Russia hoax and their Ukraine hoax, with their impeachment, all the while with Biden publicly confessing to his quid pro quo regarding Burisma and getting away with it.

And then there was the constant assault on people in Trump’s circle like Flynn, Page, Manafort, Cohen, Stone, etc., just hoping to find dirt to throw on Trump. How about Stormy Daniels?

Right, they didn’t have to work the media so much since they were already the bitch of the Democrats.

I cannot help wondering if Trump might end up as the future’s Emmanuel Goldstein—if indeed he loses power, his image and memory may still be too useful for the regime to dispense with.

Many a Two Minute Hate will be organized around him, perhaps even decades hence, with excellent effects for Party unity.

You can just feel the bluepill taking hold all over the country—the questions and doubts about the bizarre 100% Biden vote-drops, the halts in counting, the other statistical near-impossibilities being summarily silenced; the tranquilizers are flowing, flowing into the mass-mind.

All the ugly wiring and worms that Trump exposed under the floorboards of our elite—its operations, its actual goals—is to be rapidly re-upholstered; it never happened and does not exist. So: of *course* Trump lost perfectly legitimately. Likewise, the FBI and CIA are perfectly lawful and just organizations filled with upstanding people.

There is nothing to see here, folks; get back to your white-fragility re-education sessions, and enjoy the legalized heroin—it’s on us.

Joe Biden is our president-elect; Joe Biden has *always* been our president-elect.

You’re right sevensec, Certain parties in this forum can read JHK’s exposure of all the deep state’s illegal, unconstitutional, and utterly dirty activity. And they come away saying JHK has become a right-wing, conspiracy nut for reporting the truth.

They can’t deny the reality of those actions. But neither are they bothered by deep state crimes. I honestly wonder: what kind of people are they? Clearly, people with no love for truth or justice – just ideological loyalists to the corrupt bastards in power.

Trump should begin having MAGA rallies again in his last two months—he needs to get as many actual, real, regular people and supporters out, in real life actively meeting each other, forming a movement with true grit and outside the uniparty/unifinance system. There is much work to do. Will anyone get off their keyboard-screen-addictions and renounce the Aura of the Digital long enough to actually do it though?

It seems to me this is a critical moment when much the stuff JHK talks about, what with forming actual personal connections and small communities (rather than virtual ones) really needs to start happening. Like even some Clusterf**kers meeting up over coffee in a nearby small-town for starters?

If we pronounce it as English, then we have a homophone with “parlour”. Why?

I’d agree that more Trump rallies would be ideal – so long as the deluded participants are not masked, not socially distanced and not intubated when they inevitably begin coughing up their lives.

    • Kim November 6, 2020 at 10:26 pm #

Trump has a massive and engaged mailing list. If he wants to stay involved he needs to do the following:

      1. Make a very public speech describing and clearly labelling the enemy (China-centered globalism), and its goal of destroying and defeating, plundering, impoverishing and enslaving America)

This strong labelling of china-centric and treasonous Democrat and RINO behaviors will provide rhetorical hooks for de-legitimizing anything the Biden admin does.

      Get the language right.

      2. Point out that the recent election was a fraud and that the Biden administration is illegitimate

      3. Insist that the game is not yet over

      4. Declare mobilization for 2022 and 2024

      5. Use his massive data resources to organize millions of Trump lovers to get involved in their local Republican organizations to winkle out rinos and to get positions in local education, sheriff, etc races

      6. Use local organizations to pressure current current elected reps to obstruct the Biden globalist program

      7. Coordinate and resource this local Trump activism centrally and via networked means

The biggest problem here would be media coverage. getting off Twitter and onto Parler could help with this, but I would say that the MSM – including Fox – has really marginalized itself with half of the USA now anyway.

Parler could be used to provide a lot of cross support for alternate right-aligned media while shutting out the globalist noise.

In other words, build an alternative echo chamber.

With 80 million Twitter followers and his voter data, Trump could do that.

      • Yohannon November 7, 2020 at 12:40 am #

        • Kim November 7, 2020 at 1:27 am #

I also think he should publish an account of his administration, a high level survey and indictment of the bureacratic malfeasance and anti-American operations of the deep state, Hillary, Joe Biden, and other players.

Four volumes. Released over 18 months going into 2022. Written in a racy, pacey style with each volume cliff-hangered.

There is so much that could be done that can get around the gatekeepers and garner and sustain the public attention.

But if you let people like that slithering snake Kushner and his own brainless twit of a daughter and Wray and Barr and Mueller near you, you are walking waist deep in shit.

In this sense at least—as almost a sort of politico-journalistic sting-operation, gathering in troves of monstrous corruption and extremely dangerous ideology—Mr. Trump’s presidency was unprecedentedly successful.

Alas, the chief hope of the mission was to *destroy* Planet Swamp, not merely document it. The damn thing is still there… and closing. (Anyone ever see that movie “Melancholia”?)

Over the years, I’ve watched James transform from a witty critic of our car-centric culture into a paranoid right-wing conspiracy theorist with a weird axe to grind against gay people and darkies who don’t dress and act and talk just like him.

It’s been sad to watch. I check in once a month or so, hoping that James would mellow a bit, and be at least willing to acknowledge that the bull in the china shop who has been running amok in the White House for for years has not been doing our 240-year system of checks and balances any good — as he threatened to postpone elections, jail his political enemies, sic the Justice Department on anyone who crosses him as if the Department were his own personal mafia family, and now … halt the counting of perfectly legitimate votes by US citizens. (Except in Arizona where the counting works in his favor. Of course.)

Donald Trump has the excuse of being a spoiled multi-millionaire with narcissistic personality disorder and no moral compass. But what is James’ excuse? Irritation over rap music, angry white suburban women, and Hillary Clinton’s private email server? He must be a real joy at the Kunstler Family holiday gatherings.

Here’s the deal with this election:

Trump is a terminal cancer on the state, the body of the USA, the world in fact. And before a cancerous body can get onto larger, better things in life, the first order of business is to eliminate the cancer.

Biden is the chemotherapy. No, no one is going to recommend chemotherapy to a healthy body. But the USA ain’t that body. If the chemo works as it seems to be, and the cancer is eliminated, it will be four years at least getting beyond the nasty effects of the chemo.

Then the body may have a chance to heal. No chance of that with Trump in office. Eliminating that cancer is Job #1. The cure is bad, for sure. But it ain’t near as bad in this case as the disease.

    • Tate November 6, 2020 at 7:27 pm #

      Trapper,
Reverse the Trump/Biden descriptions, and your metaphor is apt. The Democratic Left is the Cancer. Trump is the Chemotherapy…a horrid methodology, painful and ugly, destroyer of various organs in the body, but providing a thin strand of hope…a few more years, perhaps.

Canada has a lot of oil and gas, but the eco-fascists have managed to destroy the industry. Biden has pledged to stop the Keystone XL pipeline, which will force the US to buy more oil from the Saudis and other corrupt regimes. I guess those are his real friends.

    • freetrapper November 6, 2020 at 8:22 pm #

Nonsense. Canada’s oil industry is just one more victim of peak conventional oil. If you frequent this blog you should get that.

The low hanging fruit in Canada is gone. And the economics for what’s left – the tarsands – just don’t work anymore. It’s that simple.

      • JohnAZ November 6, 2020 at 10:42 pm #

        Here is a question.

If Biden were to shut down the pipelines and fracking like he has said he will do

        And
Build up the renewables like he says he will do.

How is he going to replace the roustabouts on the oil rigs, or the coal miners with people running windmills? How will he grow the economy?

It is the same BS we were fed by Obama as we watched all the Midwest jobs fly over to China.

And you intelligent Midwesteners just hired the guys who is going to take what manufacturing has built up over the past four years and send it to China with Hunter in the driver’s seat.

        Smart!

BTW, once Biden realized what his dumb ideas were going to do, he backpedaled very quickly.

        • Kim November 6, 2020 at 11:16 pm #

Biden has no intention of building up US manufacturing or anything else.

From now on, the US share of energy consumption and standard of living will fall and US coal and food products will go to building China.

          Remember, the is Beijing Biden.

        • elysianfield November 7, 2020 at 10:32 am #

          John,
Why do you seek the rational in irrational statements?

Why do you parse comments from Biden, when you know them to be campaign rhetoric? Meaningless.

Why do you suggest solutions to intractable problems when solutions may not even be sought after?

Recognize that what is occurring today is street theater. Smile at the absurd, nod knowingly, disregard the promises.

“Forget it John, It’s 2020 (Chinatown paraphrased)

          • JohnAZ November 7, 2020 at 11:26 am #

Actually, I agree with you. Beyond hope and no respite for at least four years.

        • freetrapper November 7, 2020 at 3:34 pm #

JohnAZ: In answer to your questions, Biden won’t save the economy anymore than Trump will. Growth is done. The processes of collapse that are kicking into high gear are far greater than any human institution to alter them. It’s like asking, “Who will stop the sun from going down?” No one will, is who. We will remain on course, and now that course is collapse.

I’m just loving like hell seeing one of the planet’s pre-eminent arseholes getting his arsehole handed to him. With salt rubbed in, no less.

Next up – he loses Georgia. Lovin’ it!

No one deserves to lose like Donald Trump deserves to lose. Whatever the contest.

            treeflapper,

You realize loosing spares Trump the shame and anguish of captaining the ship as it goes down. Democrats will get blamed for the worst depression in world history. Rightly or wrongly.

And their arseholes will get rubbed with salt and tabasco sauce. – (that sounds liking an episode of “Cooking with Pete Buttigieg and Marina Abramovic”. What a lovely idea for a daytime TV show.

    • Kim November 6, 2020 at 11:01 pm #

Canada has tar sands. It is expensive to produce. That means it has a lower productivity than conventional oil.

Society must re-organize to a lower level of consumption (demand) to account for that lower productivity.

The alternative is to increase debt to sustain demand. This requires low and even negative interest rates.

Today, global negative earning debt is $17 trillion. That is 26% of global debt.

Negative interest rates destroy economies, starting with retirees, the poor, and small and medium sized business.

Tar sands are not what is needed.

I came across this line in a post from Jim’s blog post-covid but pre-political commentary: “Spooky as it’s been, the covid virus has been a great cover story for the natural collapse of a severely unbalanced, ecologically unsound and dishonestly represented set of arrangements that are now unspooling at horrifying speed.”

I would guarantee that all is not lost and we could still clean out the scum. Even today, from this point on, we can stop them carrying out their ongoing crimes against America and against democracy.

I would specifically name and shame and attach a crime to every scumbag in the Deep State and globalist media and lay out at length how their treasons and corruptions were crippling the nation and the stinking and illegal things they did during my Administration.

I would create a body of rhetoric or nominalizations that could be the basis of future slogans and media shorthands such as “The Great Steal”. “We will all work together to overturn and reverse The Great Steal”. We all know – including our enemies – what The Great Steal is.

We will make them use our words.

This is a high-profile event that will involve masses of free national media coverage. Give it to them with unbending pride and sureness of purpose. Give it to them like a huge pie in their collective face and make it so abrasive and provocative that they must report it using our terminology.

And the God-Emperor might even like to finish with a little neo-Arnie:

“…because this isn’t over yet! Because we are The Heart of America. And we’ll be back!”

Yohannon said, “Btw, we created this Nation and thus we are the Native Americans, not them. They were just living here. We took it from them and founded this Nation.”

We own and are responsible for what we create. The Creator owns creation and places stewards over it as He sees fit. We are simply the new stewards, we can be replaced.

We created a government which allows citizens to worship any g-o-d [ rulemaker ] they wish. This is the reason for our chastisement and possible disenfranchisement.

    Repent = change mind.

    • JohnAZ November 6, 2020 at 10:30 pm #

Yohannon is both right and wrong.

Wrong because he does not recognize that the browns are here and are not going anywhere, so I have not heard one word of what to do with them.

Right because he realizes what the contest for control of the country is going to become as the ethnic groups grow into equivalence. If the Wall, figuratively is built, the equivalence point will not be reached.

We just elected the group that is going to guarantee civil war.

      • Kim November 6, 2020 at 11:11 pm #

You don’t have to “do” anything with the browns. Just let people exercise their right to Freedom of Association and the situation will optimize naturally.

    • Yohannon November 7, 2020 at 12:53 am #

You still don’t get it. I’m afraid you’re stuck in mental faggotry. Leave the New Testament alone and read the Old – all about the survival of a People against all odds. Now pretend that We are the new Chosen People (as the Founders believed). Watch the mental clouds vanish and new horizons open up.

The Canaanites didn’t want the Israelites coming into their lands. The Israelites didn’t give a fig what they wanted or didn’t want. Caring about that is decadence as Spengler said. If we “cared” we would have never come here. Or as you yourself said, left as soon as one of the Indians said boo.

    S & T

Your world viewpoint is so juvenile, it is hard to believe at times.

An extremely wise and gentle man, Mahatma Ghandi, tried to get Hindus and Muslims to live together in peace after India became independent from England. What happened?
Schism into India and the two Pakistan’s.

NATO and the Clinton’s tried to get Christians and Muslims to get along in the Balkans after Yugoslavia became independent. What happened?
Schism into Herzegovina, Macedonia, Serbia, and Croatia.

What happened to the Romans? Schism after splits until it was divided up. Same with Greece and any other empire.

Diverse populations at near equal distributions split. Now that your siblings in the Dem party have gotten their way of diverse immigration for so long, it is America’s turn. It probably makes you feel just fine as you are a racist and an American hater. I wish someone would just give your type the West Coast and tell you to just go away.

After your comment about Mexico taking back the Southwest, what shade of brown are you? What is next? Do you want the Apaches to throw out the Mexicans as they did? Which of the myriad of constantly conquering Native American tribes would you root for? Before the Anglos showed up the Indians delighted at killing one another.

Your understanding of history is pathetic which makes your opinion a joke.

Yo—I presume you’re teasing, still I’d be interested what you mean about the brain scans to detect “red vs. blue” views. It sounds like the kind of toy a future technocratic World-State would salivate at.

To the best of my knowledge, neuroscience is mostly irreproducible or very low-powered statistically (& I mostly pray it remains that way). So such a scan would have terrible false positive/negative rates and be unusable, unless you were OK with rejecting almost as many of your side’s brains as the enemy’s.

What is wrong with “Make America Great Again?” Precisely because it can’t happen. This thing is going down. You know it, I know it.

And now, the rednecks are going to know it. That was always the big question in America. When do the rednecks finally fucking give up on this thing? Because they are the most loyal, unquestioning, obedient dogs around. They will literally die for a system that transfers their money to the top and replaces them with Mexicans and Asians. 1) The stock market is not main street.
          2) The markets in equities, bonds, commodities are all manipulated by the elite via derivatives. There hasn’t been honest ‘price discovery’ since at least 2008.
          3) Since 2008 (and probably before) we’ve been living in a fraudulent financial bubble which has been unsustainable and doomed to end in a world wide collapse worse than anything seen in the 1930’s.

          • Kim November 6, 2020 at 11:07 pm #

The crash or decline is inevitable. In fact it is ongoing and from the overlords’ point of view not really even much of a problem.

The point of electing Trump was to ensure that the USA did not suffer the full brunt of the decline (America First) and did not have all of her wealth offshored to China.

          • hmuller November 6, 2020 at 11:37 pm #

You raise a good point. The world holds about $26 trillion in dollars. If and when that money comes home its foreign holders will want to cash it in for something of tangible value. Ownership of our commercial and residential real estate, farmland, forests, mines, and anything of any value – could see a transfer into foreign hands.

The Democrats have no problem with that, they are balls to the walls globalists. President Camelbutt Harris will do as she’s told, besides she hates this “slave holding country”. She’s a Jamaican with a mother from India. And for people like her, there is no sentimental place called “America” uniting us. There’s just the ugly divisive game of identity politics.

Suddenly everyone was forced to live as prisoners and the economy began to tank.

Trump had the economy humming and business was retooling to come back to this country verses China where they steal everything and run you out of business.

If we get Biden the economy will crater no way around that the people coaching and manipulating his strings hate everything about this country including its citizens.

benr, I hope you have used this Time of Plenty to hoard silver, food, and “defensive devices”. That knocking at the door is not Jiminy Cricket. It is the locust wearing the face of Joe Biden.

Agree with all but last sentence here. Almost no people in the US of any group racial or otherwise have any coherent idea of what to replace the status quo with…hence a landscape of children and empty melodramas on all sides.

“The point of electing Trump was to ensure that the USA did not suffer the full brunt of the decline (America First) and did not have all of her wealth offshored to China.”

What is the point of electing Joe? To go ahead with making China the head and USA the tail?

Ha ha! Tucker Carlson (who, according to some, is running for the Red Staters in 2024 even though no one knows who’ll win in 2020 yet) called Joe Biden a hologram, and ‘progressive’ twittersphere is melting down.

Too rich, coming from the same specimens who, for the past 4 years, have entertained themselves with Trump LARPing, outlandish cartoon memes, third grader japes.

If the criminals manage to haul Biden’s carcass across the finish line, I can already imagine their defense of Biden’s downhome charm and connection to the common personhood. Probably try to defend his pauses mid-sentence as Biden the Thoughtful, too. Till the even more pleasant VP gives him the 1940s hook offstage.

The glazed retard look etched on Biden’s face. Classic dementia. Trump went easy on him. Didn’t want to be unkind. But the favor has not been returned by the Retard’s followers.

They made a huge thing about pronouncing her name and now Tucker’s never going to let go of it. Great jujitsu throw. Caught her mispronouncing her own name and now he claims she doesn’t know how to pronounce her own name. Love it.

Biden is saying his victory is “a mandate to take immediate action on Climate Change and Systemic Racism.”

Now all the sudden I’m seeing Hollywood scum, MSM douches and Big Lefty Pols call for national unity “We’re all in this together”.

A look at the electoral map shows the whole center of the United States a solid red. F##k their unity. Where was the call for unity in the past 4 years? How long before sh#t starts going bad for Sleepy Joe on all fronts? 4 or 5 months, even with ass kissing media backstopping Biden all the way. Then it will be time to rub his nose in his failures. We’ll see if this octogenarian can take the heat like Trump did.

      @ BRH

They means “We’re all in this together against whites”.

The next few year’s Oscar nominations should be beauts, as the racial quotas wrt performers, stories and technical crew are introduced.

The thing that gets me about these PC Hollywood stories, and jokes like casting a Hottentot as Anne Bolyn and such-like, is that there is really no historical need for them to make up the ridiculous bullshit they make.

Why not? Because there are plenty of truthful racially-PC stories they could tell.

For example, some modern Milos Forman could direct the story of Alexandre Dumas. His life was interesting. He was a darkie in 19th C France. He wrote the damned Three Musketeers!

Dumas’ father was a darkie – reputedly a big and enormously strong man – and was a general under Napoleon in Egypt. (Off the top of my head I am not sure on all the details but here is a link)

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas-Alexandre_Dumas

Thsi story has everything: Black men with white women! Black men being successful at war and in the arts!

What is wrong with it? What’s that you say? No racism?

Oh yeh. I see what you mean.

Of course, I wouldn’t go see it anyway. I don’t watch movies with black people in them. I need white role models.

      • BackRowHeckler November 7, 2020 at 4:30 am #

I don’t think too many people are watching the Oscars anymore, Kim. Actually one of the positives of this Covid epidemic is that has essentially shut down Hollywood; movies are not being made, and theaters are going bankrupt. More good news: ratings for woke NBA, NFL and MLB have tanked. Apparently sports fans don’t want lectures on race relations from coddled, overpaid, multimillionaires who drive Bentleys and live in 50,000 sq ft mansions. Go figure.

        • malthuss November 7, 2020 at 8:24 am #

          Millions watched the last Oscars.
But the numbers shrink, year after year.

Bill Maher said that Trump is finally on the other end of an eviction notice. Still doing his tired marijuana jokes and seems really happy about all the drug legalization in Oregon. Anything goes….

Trump should give a renunciation speech. I hope I don’t hear any coming together, unity tripe. Review what the Democrats have done over four years, what the media has done siding with Biden, etc. A good writer can have him avoid the sour grapes.

Widen the split, leave the nation on edge, rally his mil
