Something even stranger and more sinister than the Covid-19 virus is creeping across the USA: Joe Biden’s Flying Dutchman campaign which, like the ghost-ship of legend, plies the vasty electoral seas with a skeleton crew and no hope of ever landing. Late last week, the candidate blew into Yuma, AZ, for a rare, joint appearance with veep pardner Kamala Harris and, guess what, absolutely no civilians (i.e. voters) showed up at the event, though the local TV news had publicized it. Weird, a little bit?

Face it: we’re living in the days of fantastic high-tech information mischief. Virtually all of the traditional news media, plus the powerful new social media, plus the news media of foreign lands, and scores of other embeds in the federal bureaucracy, are behind the story that Ol’ White Joe and his understudy, Ms. Harris, are way ahead in the polls. Do you ask yourself, as I must, whether this is all a gigantic psy-op? And why would it be?

All right, I know that many readers are cross-eyed to the point of nausea over the Barr-Durham investigation, especially the failure to deliver indictments before the election. The complete absence of leaks from that outfit has been crazy-making itself for many. But I take that as a sign of the profound seriousness of the investigation. Durham’s crew is methodically making a case for the worst and largest seditious conspiracy in US history. It requires the most extreme care. They are not going to blow it by allowing any suspicion that it is being used as a campaign ploy on behalf of Mr. Trump.

Sometime after the election and before the 20th of January, a great big hammer is going to come down on the people who organized the RussiaGate op and many of its spinoffs. As the late Tom Petty observed, the waiting is the hardest part, and not only for those in the Counter-resistance who have already connected the felonious dots based on publicly available documents, but also for the targets of the Barr-Durham RussiaGate probe, the Resistance itself — the long log of Obama Admin officials, Clinton campaign minions, and even senators who worked to prevent Donald Trump’s election by foul means and then tried to disable and overthrow him when it didn’t work, in order to cover up their criminal culpability.

You understand that the targets of Barr and Durham are almost all lawyers, Democratic Party-connected lawyers, that is. And so, what they are doing in the shadows of Joe Biden’s ghost campaign is attempting to mount a last-ditch lawyers’ assault on their antagonists, who have regained control of a rogue Justice Department. Thus: Lawfare. If RussiaGate was the most dastardly crime of government against itself ever in US history, then the final result will be the most awful roundup and prosecution of disgraced former officials ever seen in the history of the world’s great nations. Criminal liability may even extend into the news media itself — though they may only be named as unindicted co-conspirators.

Thus too, the unanimity in the news media on not reporting the documents lately declassified by the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) John Ratcliffe, and his predecessor Rick Grenell. What had been a slow dribble of documents zealously protected by seditionists still in office — namely CIA chief Gina Haspel and FBI director Christopher Wray — is becoming a torrent of incriminating information as it is finally pried from their hands. The real story is getting out there, into the public realm, by other means despite the attempts to suppress it — and none of it is coming from Barr and Durham. Their work constructing a difficult case goes on independent of those declassified releases. It is driving the Resistance batshit crazy.

Hence, all the noises emanating from Lawfare circles about the monumental legal battle to come over the mail-in vote. So high are the stakes — so many careers possibly broken and celebrated figures sent to trial, maybe even prison — that the Democratic Party’s Lawfare gang will dare to confound the resolution of a presidential election and disrupt a 200-plus year history of orderly government. They will mount scores of lawsuits in every swing state against its slate of electors in an effort to thwart an electoral college vote scheduled for December 14. They won’t care whether they turn the USA into a failed state. They just desperately want to get their friends and colleagues off the hook.

All this is why the Biden-Harris campaign is such a dispirited fiasco. They don’t matter. Their only “policy” is to front for a lawyer network aimed at protecting its members at any cost. Their aim is to hijack what’s left of America’s legal system in order to destroy it. They went public with the scheme in the so-called Transition Integrity Project and the “war game” it ran over the summer. That scenario seemed feasible up to the sudden death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court will change the odds of that scheme greatly against them… and they know it.

Great observations. Things are getting curiouser and curiouser. Pelosi’s new found love of the 25th seems to fit in there somehow. Either to just distract the conversation or to setup to remove Joe. Maybe both. I have never seen such desperation in the liberal media or the congress critters. Not to mention the Fed bureaucrats.

Trump has caused the pulling back of a blanket that has exposed a festering mess of seditious actors. I thank him for that, if nothing else.

    • thirdcoastlegend October 12, 2020 at 10:31 am #

Nance is talking about the 25th to begin developing mass acceptance of the idea that it will be used on Biden to push him aside or remove him from office.

      • Ivehadenough October 12, 2020 at 2:37 pm #

Def a possibility. Get that turd VP wannabe of Biden’s to take the reins and dissolve the country quicker. What I see when I do watch the odd clip of the whore bag (only what the real reporters on Fox News play) is someone who is about as flaky as ol sleepy himself. Her facial machinations and hand movements remind me of a mime with several physical ailments and a stick up the ol wazoo trying to hack out a hairball. Using the 25th on our great prez really IMHO make her look sound silly and methinks she may be the one who needs to be removed from office, the country and hopefully the world.

By exposing just a fraction of corrupt activity by pols and their allies on both sides, Trump has earned the wrath of all. Setting aside all other things, it is self-evident that voting against Trump is to tacitly approve of corruption, sedition, speech codes, and critical race theory (e.g., the 1619 Project becomes truth, and the actual historical record is eradicated).

    • megaculpa October 12, 2020 at 3:45 pm #

Biden will issue pardons for any Democratic officials indicted by Barr and Durham. And it will all disappear….

      • xxzzy999 October 12, 2020 at 5:48 pm #

Biden has to be President to issue pardons… and that ain’t happening.

      • shotho October 13, 2020 at 5:05 pm #

Yes Mega, you are probably correct; to the winner goes the spoils. And, with a Democratic Senate, there will be no more nonsense from a Justice Department or any other department. The era of a one party state will commence.

Not to mention Durham’s number two quit reportedly over pressure to come up with something to appease the higher ups. She must be deep state.

You’re smoking crack (again) IF you believe any of these high paid lobbyist whore criminals who do the oligarch’s bidding will EVER see prison unless there is a most violent and blood lusting revolution. In that sort of affair, EVERY institution and agency will be even MORE weaponized against the public then ever before.

The ghost of Robespierre stalks the land.

Occam’s razor: the stupidity, ignorance, and gullibility of the people is a simpler explanation for the polls. Probably 80% of my friends, family, and colleagues I talk to (n = ~30) about the issues in this article spend about 2-4 minutes a day delving into the details of political news.

Their analysis typically consists of a handful of Facebook headlines, the first two paragraphs of an echo-chamber op-ed article, and a sanitized YouTube video or two from corporate mass media. They actually spend way more time psychoanalyzing the opposition, and can’t even fathom investigating what is stated by their sources might be false (i.e. blind trust of their side).

I’ve recently started asking these same people if they know one or two logical fallacies, and if they can apply them to politics and media. The results are, shall we say, both unsettling and unsurprising. In essence, right-skewed with “I don’t know what the word ‘fallacy’ means” being the leftmost bin.

    • tresho October 12, 2020 at 11:24 am #

How about start “asking these same people if they know one or two logical fallacies, and if they can apply them to” themselves. The most doctrinaire people I have known are generally incapable of this process & their answer to your query just might unmask them.

    • Night Owl October 12, 2020 at 11:36 am #

      New improved Occam’s Razor:

      The news is fake.

      The polls are fake.

        Who says what reality is?

        • Sean Coleman October 13, 2020 at 10:56 am #

Mattew Raphael Johnson says the media create reality. This is something I have believed for a good while now and I have mentioned it here now and again. Like E Michael Jones, Johnson argues that the US is now a full-blown plutocracy. The big question is, which is the driver, the power elite (plutocracy) or the media? Like Bruce E Charlton, I am one of the few who say it is the media.

Johnson in a recent podcast argued that nominalism, the philosophical doctrine of atheism and the modern world, that holds that there are no universals, is the root of evil. To the extent that I understand him, I agree. What interests me here is that my knowledge of nominalism (I have an eversion towards philosophy) was confined to Jung’s book Psychological :Types (now a hundred years old) where the author looked at it at the start of his study of extraversion and introversion through the ages. He associated nominalism with extraversion and realism with introversion. I am quite amazed to see my own train of thought confirmed from an unexpected quarter. (I am not saying that extraverts are evil, in case Janos gets excited Doh!)

          • Sean Coleman October 13, 2020 at 11:04 am #

Just to explain, by denying universals nominalism accepts only the surface appearance of phenomena. if I understand Johnson, divorced from reality these appearances are open to wholesale manipulation and falsification. This is much the same as what I had come to think myself, although not quite in these terms. Bringing in Jones here, the world, the ‘res extemsa’ (the term he uses, I think), can be seen as palpably, observably real but lacking in meaning while the subject has meaning but is not (observably) real. Confusingly, the latter position is that of realism. This will annoy or amuse serous philosophers but (as they like to say over here) they can do one.

          • Sredni Vashtar October 13, 2020 at 12:19 pm #

This is simply Advaita Vedanta 101. To the extent things appear real, to that extent they are not real. The insubstantial is the substantial. Capitalism/Communism are philosophies of matter or relative nothingness. In contrast, Fascism/National Socialism are philosophies of Man (capital M).

          • Night Owl October 13, 2020 at 5:27 pm #

I often say that the media is the biggest problem we face, but it is rather the people who own the media that are the biggest problem.

One thing that has fascinated me during the Trump era and the Corona Hoax in particular is the level of coordination of media messaging. It is truly horrifying.

          • Sean Coleman October 14, 2020 at 8:52 am #

Janos, perhaps I am being unfair but I cannot stand eastern philosophy and mysticism. I wish it had stayed in the East where it belongs (together with all of its believers). This was not helped by the television series Kung Fu, which was popular when I was a teenager, where David Carradine underwent vicious provocation and humiliation in every episode and always ended up kicking hell out of his tormentors.

Night Owl. This is one of the big questions that remains to be answered. I have argued for quite a while now that it is not the owners or the governments putting pressure on the journalists but rather the other way round. That is why I often refer to Charlton’s Addicted To Distraction since he is one of the few who explicitly share my view. There is lots of evidence of co-ordination, as you say, but I suspect this may be of secondary importance or simply the media falling into line with each other a bit like an enormous flock of starlings suddenly changing direction. I am taking into account the fact that I hold the media in the deepest possible contempt.

The other question is the extent to which the fools in authority are behaving consciously and deliberately. Despite evidence to the contrary I suspect that self-delusion is more important than deceit, albeit the two things go hand in hand. I notice your Dr Wolfgang Wodarg has moderated his opinion of the cause of the present scare. He attributed the swine flu hysteria to blatant scare mongering by about three pharmaceutical giants with an interest in selling vaccines (he headed a fact finding investigation on behalf of the European Council at the time and was astonished by the divergence between the sensationalized story and the real statistics). This time he took the same view back in March but now acknowledges that it is not so straight forward. (Hardly anyone can put their finger on collective fantasy as an explanation.)

I have just finished watching (for about the fifth time) a Dutch interview where the behaviour of senior medical professionals was criticized. For example, at a sitting of the Twede Kamer’s technical committee over the summer, when asked a clear and straight forward question about the difficulty of translating a pcr postivie test result into proof of infection by the virus the medical expert (Jaap Van Dissel)l avoided giving a straight answer with a mouthful of verbiage that nobody knows what the hell he was talking about.

This is all so odd that it can only be explained by collective fantasy. What this fantasy is and where it comes from leads us into philosophy (see above) if not eschatology.

            Apologies for the lengthy reply.

          • Night Owl October 14, 2020 at 2:57 pm #

I am going to pick up the Charlton book …

          • Sean Coleman October 14, 2020 at 3:40 pm #

I bought it for its postscript where he uses the Jimmy Savile legend to illustrate his point, falling for the media narrative. It suspect he was swayed, as an evangelical Protestant, by theSavile’s being a Catholic (like myself). Even the sharpest observers fall for it somewhere or other, all of them. Collective fantasy is hard to resist. I was struck back in April to learn that Richard North had fallen for it and Ferguson and the Cambridge team’s abusrd worse case scenario of half a million deaths in Britain (“but when it comes to me and mine…”). As author of the 2007 book Scared To Death (co-author Chirstopher Booker died last year) he was better placed than anyone to spot a health scare.

Oddly enough I heard of Charlton’s book in Prof Karl-Olov Arnsberg’s book PK Samallet (PK: politiska korrekt). Arnstberg, an atheist, was impressed but (with apparent reluctance) could not share Chartlon’s religious point of view. So i thought, if he thinks it is good then I will give it a try.

          • Sean Coleman October 14, 2020 at 3:42 pm #

You cannot trust the media narrative in anything at all. It is such a simple concept but hardly anyone manages it.

      “The Ten Commandments of Logic:

Thou shalt not misrepresent or exaggerate a person’s argument in order to make them easier to attack. (Straw man fallacy)

Thou shalt not use small numbers to represent the whole.(Hasty generalizations)

Thou shalt not argue thy position by assuming one of its premises is true. (Begging the question)

Thou shalt not claim that because something occurred before, it must be the cause. (Post hoc/False cause)

Thou shalt not reduce the argument down to two possibilities.(False dichotomy)

Thou shalt not argue that because of our ignorance, claim must be true or false. (Ad ignorantum)

Thou shalt not lay the burden of proof onto him that is questioning the claim. (Burden of proof reversal)

Thou shalt not assume “this” follows “that” when it has no logical connection. (Non sequitir)”

Thou shalt not argue that because a premise is popular, therefore it must be true. (Bandwagon fallacy)

Amy “Comey” Barrett? A Freudian slip perhaps?

Just a dumb typo… fixed — JHK Admin

    • Kim October 12, 2020 at 11:06 am #

Women adopting double barreled married names is an affliction, a standard feature of feminist dumbness and inconvenience.

What happens in the next generations when smith-jones marries campbell-graham?

And in the next generation after that a four barreled name marries another four barreled name?

Stupid. And worsened by the trend of giving children as first names what were formerly – except among wasps announcing their pedigrees – surnames. So now it is boys called MacArthur and girls called Madison. Why the fuck?

And let’s compound that absurdity with people demanding bespoke pronunciations for otherwise perfectly standard names:

My brother taking me aside, “It is spelled Anna but she pronounces it Arna.”

Well, she may but I won’t. For me from now on she can be “Hey, you!”

These tidal waves of madness are apparently made up of millions of drops of idiocy.

      • tresho October 12, 2020 at 11:27 am #

Not to mention the ancient western custom of “commoner” women changing their “maiden” names to that of the man they marry, which predates this hypenated stuff. The Queen of England didn’t bother to change her name when she got married, I don’t know why “commoner” women still bother with that. Get one simple surname and stick to it, come what may.

        • Kim October 12, 2020 at 11:49 am #

She takes the husband’s name as she becomes part of his line and family and so that she has the same name as her children. Makes sense.

On the other hand, I know a twice-divorced woman whose double-barrelled surname is composed of the surnames of her previous husband’s.

She then had another child out of wedlock so that child has two surnames of men with whom she has no connection whatsoever.

Why not just assign the children names made up of random numbers combined with days of the week?

        • Sredni Vashtar October 12, 2020 at 11:50 am #

That was a feature of Patriarchy, otherwise correctly known as the good old days. This should be a Man’s world, that don’t mean nothing without a woman or a girl. That’s how women are wired too. Outliers? Sure, and how: Gifted ones that should never be allowed to capture the middle and try to make other women like themselves.

OK, I guess the birth mother and the emotional mother could be two different women (or even men these days).

Some rich white southern children were raised by “the help” and retained life long attachments. Or maybe that was just propaganda drilled into me from “Gone With The Wind”. We would have to check with one of our current enlightened scholars of American race relations. LOL All of whom are about as friendly as Maxine Waters at a Klan clambake.

I know Al Jolsen in blackface singing: “I’d walk a mile for one of your smiles, Mammy!” must no longer be a filmatography scene remembered fondly. (No, it wasn’t in Gone With The Wind.)

Wait, what? So she is doing everything just as I said. Hyphen or not, she has two surnames, one of them being the name of her father’s side of the family?

So she chose to carry two “slave names” instead of one?

How does that make any sense at all?

And this trendy knucklehead will be making Supreme Court decisions?

Yet, according to the WSJ in its weekend edition, Biden/Harris ticket is showing an insurmountable lead, and Dems are poised for clean sweep victories across the board.

To pick up on an earlier thread, Peaceful Protesters last night in Portland not only smashed up the Oregon Historical Society museum and toppled a Lincoln statue, but destroyed the Theodore Roosevelt equestrian monument (Roosevelt on Horseback) This monument was sculpted by Alexander Primister Proctor, a prominent artist of the day. This monument had historic and artistic value; it was priceless. Mayor Wheeler left it unprotected as no police were deployed. An article from 1922 states that tens of thousands of citizens attended the Roosevelt Monuments unveiling in 1922.

Reports are the mob threatened spectators who were recording this event, smashing their phones and assaulting them. Lazers were flashed in bystanders eyes, and more than one had acid thrown into their faces. These people mean business.

So Jim no crowd at Biden rallies; the real Democratic action is in Portland, Seattle, and NYC, where high end store are being looted — every day — and the looters are warning store employees that if they interfere they will be denounced as racists (from a NYPost article this weekend).

I’m seeing a flank of Republicans all set to blame Donald Trump for his big loss to Joe, to maybe save the people the trouble of all that legal action.

Trump Is Letting Down His Side
    https://www.nationalreview.com/2020/10/trump-is-letting-down-his-side/

Rich’s concern for me is touching, but what concerns me is that there are other Republicans who are not openly NeverTrumpers, who are also claiming this is a losing issue.
A coup attempt against the elected president of their own party, and they are claiming our guy is going to blow it, if he does not talk about something else?

    • JohnAZ October 12, 2020 at 10:52 am #

Saw two commercials from the Lincoln Project, the rotten group representing the RINOs. Their anti-Trump tirade was vicious compared to the Dems ads.

All this because Trump beat their boys down in 2016. In my opinion, the best thing that Trump has done is to destroy two very evil dynasties in America. America, where fear of dynasties put anti-nobility words in the Constitution. Thanks to Trump, we may never have to deal with the Clintons and the Bushes ever again.

If the GOP tries to go back to business as usual with the Bush gang, they are finished. Trump has broken with the RINO tradition of acceding to all the Liberal palaver. If he loses, the GOP is finished, and all the Deep State actors will have to finally admit what they are, government loving Democrats.

      • Beryl of Oyl October 12, 2020 at 11:01 am #

The people I know who call themselves Republicans and/or Conservatives, reached the conclusion a while back that the Bush clan was just no good.

John, I think you’re on to something. If Trump loses and it appears that he will, the Republicans will probably have more to do with it than the Democrats. I also believe that the Republicans are finished as a national party. Out of power, it will be interesting to see what Trump will have to do with its demise.

I’d have more (some) faith that AG Barr was doing his job, if Andrew Cuomo wasn’t running around proclaiming his great leadership during the scamdemic, while simultaneously refusing to hand over records pertaining to the possibly as many as 10,000 deaths he directly caused by his at the very least reckless actions.

If you or I were under federal investigation, would we be allowed to give a ‘when I feel like it’ response to such a request?

  8. Zoltar October 12, 2020 at 10:42 am #

I am in awe of Jim’s dogged tenacity in sorting through this huge, tangled mess, assembling a comprehensive list of malefactors, and puzzling out how their perfidy all fits together. In a better world his labor would serve as a palantir for us to foresee the destruction of the Democratic Party, presenting at least the possibility of the creation of a new party committed to representing the American people.

But I think we are actually grinding toward the DNC’s revenge for Bush v. Gore and their theft of the presidency, nominally for Biden, soon replaced by the unelectable Harris, in turn controlled by the indigestible Hillary – however ugly, extralegal, and unconstitutional, and damn the consequences.

That accomplished, the Herculean labors of Barr, Durham, and our host on this forum will all slip down the memory hole, soon to be forgotten by a beleaguered populace that has scarcely a clue about the magnitude of the economic and environmental collapse that is around the corner.

    • JohnAZ October 12, 2020 at 11:00 am #

Scarcely a clue, or in complete denial? It amazes me that the slate presented by the Dems has even a chance. It really points at the success of the Democrat’s Stupidification project over the years.

There is only one reason for the amazing results we are witnessing this year.

The culpability and unbelievable stupidity of the American public. In a democracy, you get what the people want.

We are about to get that, right up our collective petard.

Yes, no supporters showing up in Arizona Friday 9 October at the Biden-Harris ‘rally’, was quite the scene, funny the local TV newscaster trying to figure out what to say, with nary a Biden-Harris voter to even look at, no one interested in seeing ‘future President Kamala’

And right in the middle of all those retirees who are supposedly tilting toward Biden because Trump didn’t do enough lockdowns

And speaking of lockdowns, Dr David Nabarro, the WHO Special Envoy on Covid-19, has just admitted publicly the lockdowns are wrong and plunging the world’s poor even deeper into hell … The WHO, reversing itself, now begs for the lockdowns to stop, as Oxfam predicts 130 million may die from lockdown-caused starvation and malnutrition as economies get destroyed … but this is another story being ignored

Here’s some commentary on the state of the campaign from the man who has been consistently right about the COVID-1984 virus since maybe January:

“Were I Biden and his camp I’d be real worried about right now.

    Why?

Because Trump, being medically cleared and having had Covid, plus testing positive for antibodies, no longer has any reason to practice any sort of distancing or mask wearing. He can no longer give or get the virus.

This means he can walk through a crowd and shake hands.

He can give and receive hugs.

He can speak without a diaper on his face, at any distance, around anyone.

He is violating no public health directives anywhere by doing so since he is provably immune and has been so-proved.”
    https://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=240412

Something I find remarkable, many people I have communicated with don’t believe that the Democrats deliberately tried to infect people at the Rose Garden ceremony, but none of them believe they wouldn’t attempt such a thing.

After all, Seth Rich wasn’t mugged and Epstein didn’t kill himself.

The Market Ticker guy believes that if it did happen, the target was Amy Coney Barrett. She already had the virus, but they wouldn’t have known that.

So the left/lawyers don’t think that votes are going to matter this time because they intend to provoke a Constitutional crisis that will deny Trump the Presidency?

That is why they don’t care that Biden is such a weak candidate?

I don’t challenge that they are this low, but do the constitutional mechanics exist for this to happen?

I searched using the question “who declares a president elected usa” and got lots of hits.

This one was at the top:

    https://theconversation.com/who-formally-declares-the-winner-of-the-us-presidential-election-145212

Reading it, I was struck by the fact that the process does provide opportunities for bloody-minded hijinks.

For example, after counting its votes, each state Governor has to submit a certification to the US Archivist. This certification lists the names of a state’s electors for the electoral college, which meets to vote this on December 14.

Congress convenes to count these votes on January 6.

But the trouble we can see here is that apparently there is no rule stating how long a state may take to count its votes. How does that fit in with the due dates? Is this a state’s rights issue?

That looks to be where Lawfare may make its basic attack. Not that delaying Trump will save them, but they may be able to delegitimize him and paint him as a tyrant as setting for the continuing struggles. Another four years of knock down drag out guerilla war. How tedious.

But it is clear that the loss of RGB must have really put a stick in their spokes if any of this goes to the Supreme Court.

    • JohnAZ October 12, 2020 at 11:05 am #

    • abbybwood October 12, 2020 at 6:05 pm #

I am figuring with the mail-in ballots and the deadlines by the states for “receiving” ballots (one week past Election Day I believe is the longest time and all the ballots must be post-marked by Election Day to be counted), that would put the last timeframe for counting nationally at November 10th.

I believe all states now place the ballots in scanners to be counted. Some states are stricter with looking at each ballot and matching signatures.

Many thousands of ballots will not be counted because the form is not dated or the printed name on the ballot does not match etc.

It certainly seems if the states’ rules are followed they should be able to count all the votes before December 14th!

By law, even if a barrel of ballots are found at the edge of a river on November 11th, they will not be admissible and this is where the law fare will come into play.

Some states have vowed that if the voters ballot signature does not match with the DMV or Registrars signature that the voter will be given a chance to challenge the decision. This is where a lot of time will be sucked up.

There is one thing for sure. The MSM will NOT be able to legitimately call the election for anyone on November 3rd, but it will still be fun to watch them all squirm and tear their hair out!

Former interior secretary James Watt said of defeating environmental groups “ If not the ballot box then the cartridge box”. The left embracing unrestricted violence, with little response from democratic authorities, highlights the now established bifurcation of applications of “ Law”. Conservative groups are met with full restrictions while antifa/Blm get a free pass to pursue highly destructive criminal behavior. We had a saying when a fist fight got dirty, “ Oh, you want to play like that, we can too”. Conservatives have tried to observe a civil response to these provocations, abetted by democratic mayors/governors. Blatantly attempting to void election results could result in the forceful application of Mr Watt’s dictum to lawfare personnel. Nuff said. Now it would appear from projecting future antifa/blm response to the election landslide outcome, it is even MORE important to Practice, Practice, Practice with VERY bad intent.

I understand your contempt for mainstream Dems. Your increasingly complicated evidence and theories about unending conspiracies seems like pretty thin gruel, but as you (and Trump) say – we’ll see what happens.

You are concerned about Biden’s occasional forgetfulness, yet seem unconcerned about the truly lunatic tirades form Trump in the last few days – especially his call-in to Maria Bartolo of Fox Business, which by itself should qualify him for 25th Amendment consideration.

But what I really can’t grasp is that you, the author of The Long Emergency and a cogent writer about energy with what I always assumed was a grasp of the climate crisis, can support Trump.

    Okay,Catharsis: I’ll tell you.
Because everything the Democratic Party represents now is much much worse, starting with their crusade against free speech (“hate speech”), their support of loot’ and burnin’, their love of coercion and sadistic “cancel culture,” their campaign against “whiteness,” their destruction of higher education, and their smug assertion of moral superiority. There’s more, but you get the picture. They do not deserve the power to govern this republic and I am against them with all my heart. I also happen to believe that nobody will do anything about climate change, whatever position one might take on it. –JHK Admin

The overwhelming view of climate scientists would appear to be that if the Trump inaction on climate – and his active demolition of any and all climate and environmental actions taken by Obama – continue for another four years, it will become nigh impossible to limit warming to any ‘safe’ level.

Do you really hate Hilary Clinton et al so much that you are willing to threaten the global future just to spite them? To do so seems like the attitude of a true cult follower, not a man of reason.

    • catharsis October 12, 2020 at 11:27 am #

I guess I just don’t understand how you perceive Trump and the modern Republican Party as an improvement, as they seem to demonstrate exactly the same characteristics in spades – with more vitriol and violence and few redeeming characteristics, like a belief in science or concern for the sick and poor.

      • tlauria October 12, 2020 at 1:08 pm #

A “belief in science” is the contradiction of the times.

Science does not require nor have any use for faith.
In fact, they are like water and oil.

When I read “belief in science” I know the writer means scientism.

I’ll save many a lot of time. From Merriam-Webster:

scientism – an exaggerated trust in the efficacy of the methods of natural science applied to all areas of investigation (as in philosophy, the social sciences, and the humanities)

God’s dead and nature abhors a vacuum so ‘enlightened’ humans have deified science.

        Amen.

        • hmuller October 12, 2020 at 4:41 pm #

So true. Don’t you love the AGW crowd smugly proclaiming, “The science is settled!” No, actually the science is never settled, because true science is always open to new evidence.

Then there are those who believe “science” will show us the best economic policies and political systems. Just as science reveals the true moral and ethical values we should all follow.

Such people take their own subjective ego’s and opinions and label it “science”.

I have to call you on this. What acts of violence are you talking about, in the face of the monumental and unprecedented hissy fit of the past nearly four years? I think the Republicans have acted with great restraint. I’ve seen nothing approaching the vitriol of the Kavanaugh hearings (frankly, I was embarrassed to be a woman), or worse violence than the BLM and Antifa riots and lootings of a few month’s back, that are still ongoing. As for science, medicine is considered as much an art as a science, and in this regard it depends on what scientist you care to listen to. There appears to be some disagreement among scientists, though there certainly appears to be a religion forming around certain aspects.

Everybody gets sick sometimes and everybody dies. What is to be done about that? As Jesus said, ‘The poor are always with us,’ and there is only so much that can be done about that. It’s become increasingly obvious that throwing money at the problem does little good. A lot of well-meaning work and tons of money have gone into addressing that, with little to show for it and worse, possibly to the detriment of the poor.

        • FreddieMars October 14, 2020 at 4:07 am #

          Draupnir

‘Poverty’ is, in the West at least, a relative term. Hence ‘there will be poor always’ remains as accurate as 2000 years ago when Jesus spoke.

But through the economic “Golden Age’ of the USA (1948 to 1965), even the ‘poor’ were significantly better off, relatively, than the poor of today.

This is the functional result of squeezing the middle-class through off-shoring, tax-bracket-creep and the withdrawal of social support in the financial, tax-payer funded sense.

    • Kim October 12, 2020 at 11:32 am #

Taking climate alarmism at face value – and it looks to me like a face that has had a stroke – and allowing the truth of even its most hysterical prognostications, the movement never suggests anything that could possibly ameliorate the ostensible coming dangers.

There is no point in the United States lowering its CO2 emissions (as it has these last four years under Trump) if China and India et al are permitted to puff the supposedly poisonous stuff out at astronomical and ever increasing rates. Where is the sense in that?

Look, the entire thing is either so incompetent or chimerical or so obviously a conspiratorially corrupt scheme to hamstring the West that it doesn’t matter at which end we try to start eating our climate hoax hotdogs, in the end we still find that they are made with pigs-will-fly sausage garnished with great gobs of bullshit.

    • JohnAZ October 12, 2020 at 11:36 am #

Your belief that Democratic success is going to change anything about climate change is humorous.

Wake up! There is no solution for the warming that is going on. Change all the cars, remodel all the buildings, kill all the cows, stop all the flights, convert all the electric plants and we will still be dealing with the effects of AGW, if it is AGW. The GND is the product of a young ignorant mind in the Congress who does not have a clue about the need for fossil fuels regardless of all the changes.

Read Kunstler’s arguments against the success of the GND gang. The climate changers are all affiliated with the global elements that Trump is fighting tooth and nail. Do you seriously wants the idiots running the UN and it’s affiliates to run the USA. If the Paris Climate Accord is an example of this groups ideas, better be ready to change your lifestyle drastically. Maybe Covid’s stay at home mitigation is training for what is coming if GND takes hold.

What a life, low level electrification subject to brown and black outs, cars that only go 150 miles on a charge as the longer duration batteries cost more, no planes, we will all be eating vegan to get rid of cow gas, cold homes in winter and hot homes in the summer to try to offset the high costs of energy that the energy groups will need to update all the cockamamie schemes.

That will not do one single thing to offset warming. It is a political BS story. Why is it that the US is producing more improvements in its energy situation than anyone else if the Paris accords are so valuable?

Sorry, GA. There just is no answer to this one. AGW is rapidly increasing as more ice melts and there is no solution. If it is AGW.

Extrapolate AGW until 2050. Now add in the depletion of oil reserves. The result? Total destruction of whatever energy infrastructure we will have available. GND will happen no matter what. I am not arguing against myself here, just saying that political “solutions” now are worthless in the drive to control climate change. The costs of conversion are too high for society to do it all at once, as is being advertised now.

Change, slow and directed at changing situation has the lowest impact potential. It will happen anyway.

You say that as if your lifestyle isn’t going to be changed whether you like it or not because of climate disruption. Any semblance of “normal” is gone, utterly, as the damage, and the warming, are now locked in.

      • UN OUT OF USA October 12, 2020 at 5:17 pm #

        • beantownbill. October 12, 2020 at 6:08 pm #

While a large eruption will affect climate, too, you also need to understand how an exponential function works; man’s activities contribute to climate change exponentially.

Didn’t they say the same thing in 2000 about climate change and that if we don’t something now, now now! we’ll be under water by 2012?

The IPCC report of the worst of climate change includes an amount of fossil fuels that will never, ever be extracted.

We need to worry about over-fishing, death of habitats, pollution, and starvation long before we need to worry about climate change.

Climate change is just mis-direction so the greenies can keep living their fossil-fuel burning life while the masses make important cut backs.

After another hurricane hit the hapless people in Louisiana within two months all the commentators were talking about climate change and how we must do something now, etc, etc. But the worst hurricane to ever hit the US was in September 1900 in Galveston, TX. Between 8 and 12,000 people died and the town was virtually destroyed. The storm caused damage and loss of life all the way to Canada. But to remind the public this was before CO2 levels were high wouldn’t exactly fit the narrative.

Obama didn’t break a sweat reversing climate change and the Paris Accords were symbolic. Issuing every citizen garlic to wear around their neck would be as effective.

Why exactly does it conflict with ‘the narrative’? Or current science?

Does this family conflict with the narrative?

            https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000kycj/imagine-2020-this-house-is-full-of-music

Have they made the narrative go away?

I just picked them as an example because of the tastes on this blog.

Climate is about TRENDS, not outliers or any specific weather event. But that is one of the issues which people on this generally intelligent board just don’t seem to be able to get their heads around. Well, our host does seem to. But, like me, he doesn’t think anyone’s going to do anything meaningful about it. But he doesn’t seem to feel the widespread need to conclude from his perception that there are no politically acceptable solutions that it would therefore be simpler to change the narrative to pretend the situation isn’t what it is.

In the UK we’ve just had the worst wheat harvest for years, because of flooding, which is increasing apace in frequency and seriousness. What used to be 100-year floods come right on back within 3 or 4 years now.

That’s what climate change is looking like for us. Not GOING TO look like, but looking like. Now.

But hm is also right that science is never settled. So I’m going to start smoking just to prove that smoking tobacco doesn’t give you lung cancer until everyone on the interwebz agrees that it does. Fuck the scientists and all that ‘good working knowledge’ crap.

          “Dwarfing even climate change.”

AGW, and the climate change it causes (among other things, like the acidification of the oceans), is a function of population and consumption. So it’s a bit of a Venn diagram you’re looking at there, cb.

          • GreenAlba October 13, 2020 at 11:58 am #

Technically it’s the CO2 which causes AGW which also causes the acidification of the oceans. I put that badly.

        • SW October 13, 2020 at 4:38 pm #

The narrative I was referring to is the ingrained habit of reporting every hurricane, tornado or flood as “unprecedented, of historical proportions, in the top five ever recorded……” to the point there is no perspective. I never said I didn’t think climate change wasn’t occurring.

          • GreenAlba October 13, 2020 at 5:59 pm #

‘Historical proportions’ is fair enough is that’s what it is. ‘Unprecedented clearly isn’t, if there’s previously been a similar storm in the area. But it it’s in the top five ever recorded, that’s what it is and it has to be acknowledged.

So the ‘ingrained habit’ is only a problem where what they’re claiming isn’t accurate. But it’s perfectly possible to have a storm every year that’s in the top five ever recorded, because the ‘top five ever recorded’ is a moving target in the current situation.

And lastly I do agree with many of you economically, but I am not as cynical on the end result. Right now is a dangerous time. A very powerful secular downdraft is occuring WW for economic performance. The U.S. is caught in a huge debt trap which will only boost the economy in the very short-run, but ultimately reduce growth. Big issues that I will trust a far more talented team and management approach from a Democratic administration than what I have actually seen from the last four years. The certitude of your convictions confirms both observations.

There is nothing wrong with your trusting that one end of the same turd will be sweeter than the other. It’s just indicative of your stage of critical thinking, like understanding to put on your underpants before putting on your jeans.
Hopefully, for your sake, seeking salvation in either end of the turd is a delusion you’ll eventually outgrow.

Jim, re your comment to Catharsis:

I agree that all of the phenomena you mention are detestable. I don’t know anyone who thinks otherwise.

But as arguments against the Democratic Party, they are straw men.

You are confusing the cultural excesses (cancel culture) and criminality (burning and looting) of marginal and statistically small leftist (Gen Z activist types and social media addicts) or nonpolitical (ne’er do wells) cohorts who, when they bother to vote, certainly don’t vote Republican, with a big tent political party in which they have no meaningful influence above the level of local city council elections in Berkeley, Portland and a handful of other leftist redoubts.

Joe Biden wasn’t selected by sinister forces (or whatever), he was the default choice of a Democratic primary electorate that predominantly wanted moderation and pragmatism.

On the other side of the ledger, you have a Republican Party that has been purged of nearly all moderation and is in thrall to a corrupt, compromised, incompetent demagogue who has repeatedly declared his hostility to the long-lived norms that make a Constitutional government possible, has filled his administration with C-list swamp denizens, and has not gotten any real legislation to institutionalize his policies other than the deficit-busting special-interest Ryan/McConnell tax cut.

      • cbeard October 13, 2020 at 1:56 pm #

Trump, with all his faults, was the only candidate espousing the changes that most of the electorate wanted. Being control of the border first and foremost, an end to foreign wars and more colonialism, and an end to the mass deportation of manufacturing jobs.

        • HapMan October 13, 2020 at 2:40 pm #

Those policy issues are the best case for Trump, in my view. Not Jim’s cultural grievances.

Unfortunately Trump is too foul a vessel. And the country has paid too high a cost.

The REAL science, which most people on this board are not trained to read and understand, shows that climate is mainly a function of solar cycles, warming/cooling/warming/cooling. Mr. Shakespeare: Henry VI, Part 2, Act IV, Scene 2

“The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers.”

It appears that lawyers win even if they lose. They have carved out a secure place in society. Many of the elite media are former lawyers. The judges are lawyers. The politicians are lawyers. The country cannot sustain itself because of lawyers. Lawyers are not interested in justice. They are interested in getting paid and winning whatever cause they’re constipating the court system with. They don’t care if an innocent goes to prison. The justice system is busted. There is zero reason to believe that a Durham investigation will lead to any substantive results which is to say, perps going to jail. Never going to happen. Ironically, lawyers police themselves. What a joke.

    • beantownbill. October 12, 2020 at 11:37 am #

@beantownbill — and remember too the number of lawyers that have hit the streets in the last 10 to 20 years has been increasing exponentially. And they all want clients! A young woman I worked with was going through a divorce and tortured us with daily updates. After a couple of weeks of this information, it was pretty clear to me all the woman was doing was sending her bills. Thank God the election is in 3 weeks. Nobody knows what will happen after that. Here are some possibilities:

    1. The Dems win the White House and the Senate, thus controlling everything. Look for a lot of crazy Dem political shenanigans. The Supreme Court gets packed with Dem lawyers. The Barr-Durham (B-D) Investigations get shut down.

    2. The Dems win either the White House or Congress, but not both. Bi-partisan fighting insures nothing gets done.

    3. Trump wins and Republicans re-capture the House and keep the Senate. Finally, we’ll see the real Trump. The Supreme Court remains conservative. B-D investigations continue and the seditionists get what’s coming to them.

    4. The Republicans win the presidency or Congress, but not both. The same results as #2.

    5. A Black Swan event or events occur. Many possibilities. Use your imagination.

The Powers That Be are creating the false narrative that the Biden-Harris team is way ahead so that, 1) They can stuff the system with millions of mail-in ballots which overturn election day results. And they will keep finding boxes and boxes of mail-in ballots until they have enough. OR 2) If Trump wins nevertheless, they can claim massive vote fraud on his behalf because the results contradict the opinion polls.

Nancy Pelosi accompanied by the House Sergeant at Arms, a crew of left-wing psychiatrists, and some capo’s from the old days back in Baltimore – may march on the Oval Office to remove Trump.

As for Barr and Durham filing charges after election day….If Biden wins, all those prosecutions will never see the light of day. They’ll simply be tossed out. You’ll see deep state political jurists of Judge Sullivan’s caliber finding reason after reason to toss out cases against “members of the club”, even as the new Democrat Attorney General will drop all such actions.

And as far as public exposure goes….You can show people evidence of the most malicious crimes by the deep state et al. And 90% just don’t care. Maybe it’s information overload and disgust with political games in general. Maybe the media have done a successful job of brain washing the masses.

Since the Marxist Democrats control the education system, future history books will only dismiss any “crazy conspiracy theories” of illegal activities to topple a President. And they’ll note 2020 was marred by right wing extremists burning down cities, until newly elected Biden and Harris locked them all up in camps. Thank god, we no longer have anybody whining about the Constitution.

You are right about Barr and Durham. If Biden wins, it is a dead issue fro Nov. 3 on, why would anyone commit suicide by pursuing it when a changeover is the WH is happening.

BTW, if the Dems win, the dirty tricks ploy will become standard operating procedure ensuring the permanence of the Uniparty.

Just imagine what Trump knows and has prepared for if you, an average joe, were able to piece all of the above together by yourself.

There are big fireworks coming, but the Administration knows far more about all of this than any of us. Trump has signaled he is prepared, and I have no doubt he means it.

But where will he get the troops if the Generals say no? If he wanted White Militias to take America back, he should have supported them for the last four years and not just now at the very end – and then denying them when put on the spot.

Some certainly appear to be turncoats, but there was a rather impressive array standing behind him when he was famously asked “what storm, Mr. President?”

Also, given the subjects Flynn was openly talking about prior to joining the Admin., and his previous position as head of the DIA, I suspect there is far more high level brass behind the Pres. than we know of.

    • So many liars October 12, 2020 at 12:38 pm #

“As for Barr and Durham filing charges after election day….If Biden wins, all those prosecutions will never see the light of day. They’ll simply be tossed out. You’ll see deep state political jurists of Judge Sullivan’s caliber finding reason after reason to toss out cases against “members of the club”, even as the new Democrat Attorney General will drop all such actions.”

You’re so right that the despicable seditionists would escape further scrutiny. But tossing out cases and dropping actions would be only the first phase. The second phase is when they turn their weapons on Donald Trump, his family, his cabinet, his allies, and his voters. Expect to see frame-ups like the Russia-Ukraine-hoax (without bothering to hide their efforts), and mobs unleashed to ransack communities of [white] privilege, and laws criminalizing speech that is non PC-compliant. I might feel safe because I live in a red state, but our nation will no longer exist.

The media controls the message and no matter what the evidence, I don’t think the day of reckoning will happen. I’ve never heard it reported even once on the news that the only thing standing in the way of General Flynn’s exoneration was Sullivan, or a replay of Biden (on public television) bragging that he got the investigator of Burisma fired (and his incompetent son was on the BoD) by threatening to withhold loan guarantees, that the Ford Foundation funds BLM, the actual fatality rate for a country of 325 million, or anything else.

They are watching us, or worse.

      • draupnir October 12, 2020 at 2:41 pm #

They’ve been around since at least 1897 and probably a lot longer than that, according to the news reports of a crash in Aurora, Texas. The lone occupant did not survive the accident. They did the best they could for him, and he/she/it and was given Christian burial. They named him Ned and put up a tombstone with his spaceship carved on it (since gone missing). Aliens haven’t done anything obvious yet, other than occasionally buzzing us, though there are rumors that Eisenhower met with them at some point, so we may have an agreement with them.

As far as I am concerned, there’s never been any real proof we’ve been visited by aliens. Almost all such claims have been tainted.

However, if real, your answer is correct “or worse”. Any aliens visiting us from other star systems have to be incredibly advanced compared to us. And we know from human history what happens when an advanced society contacts a lesser one: The more primitive one always suffers. So even if the aliens are benevolent, we will lose out. Our radio signals have reached out to 100 light years already, FYI.

It has become crazytown over here at CF Nation; these entertaining essays would be more convincing with a solidly made case, but alas, I haven’t detected much of a case made lo these many months.

(I wonder if this blog’s host cynically rides this Trump-and-dump scheme all the way to the bank, as the filthy lucre to be made goosing pro-Trump hysteria is simply too alluring at this point, and who really wants to read about our failing suburban arrangements anyway.)

Oh, Fuck you City of 76. Any more scurrilous guff out of you and you’re outa here. I’m dead serious about all of this. What’s more, I work as hard as any New York Times columnist and I’m entitled to make a living –JHK Admin.

Meanwhile in the America not glued to right-wing-heavy conspiracy websites & talk radio & propaganda Fox News, people are totally over Trump’s grotesque pose as picked-upon beauty pageant organizer, the poor baby (don’t forget to heap “thank you’s” on the snowflakey Trump anytime you cross paths). Anyone with a shred of self-respect or sanity can see clearly that Trump is pure shit, and he surrounds himself with pure shit, and we can do better than that.

Plain Joe & Jane Americans voted in the primary to elevate the late-comer VP Biden to the Democratic ticket, figuring he was the most white-bread and palatable to other voters, and while few people are “energized” by Biden himself, it’s certain he’d be a whole lot better for the American experiment in self-governance than Trump, who patently, along with the GOP, despises that “the people” choose their leaders. Instead of working to ensure a secure and accurate vote, which goes hand in hand with squashing the pandemic and helping lower-income Americans with getting through the tough time of doing so, Trump has gone full conspiracy, repeatedly rejecting even the possibility of a fair & free election. Trump hates democracy; he’s only in it for himself.

The madman Trump is a pox on the nation, dividing us, rewarding the rich with poisonous tax breaks, goosing the fossil fuel industry in our descent into unending climate disasters (which, truly, it’s too late to avoid now), destroying America’s standing in the world. I could go on and on, but others have already done so, with ample documentation, for many years, and anyone is still riding that Trump train, well, they’re past the point of being saved.

When people start name-calling, I stop listening. Such a mode of communication smacks of desperation to me. Usually it also means that the name-caller is really talking about themself. It may or may not be true that Trump is a joke, but a madman he is not.

In debate, that is called an ad hominem attack and means the attacker is quite out of verbal ammunition, has lost the debate and now stoops to calling his opponent the adult equivalent of a poopyhead. After that, they traditionally pick up their toys and go home.

Not entirely true. Ridicule is also a common response when one has provided hard evidence or a well-founded argument that his or her interlocutor refuses to accept or acknowledge. Sometimes, pointing and laughing is all that is left.

Given the inability of many of our progressive trolls to make an argument, I would suggest pointing and laughing at folks like City is an entirely justified approach.

You can only debate when there is debatable material presented. Those who shut down simply because an ad hom or two pop up are usually fence-sitters who take positions only when it is safe to do so. In some ways, they are worse than extremists.

If you’ve got some credible evidence to back up your claims, I’m happy to look at it.

The fact is, China’s numbers are in line with other countries in the region:

            Deaths per million:

            Taiwan: 0.3
            China: 3
            South Korea: 9
            Japan: 13
            Hong Kong: 14

            (US: 666)

      Outstanding tirade.

Independent bloggers like Jim rightly criticise the corporate media. They are not so keen to admit the commercial pressures they face themselves.

Peak oil hasn’t gone away, but the story has lost its edge. Jim needed something else. And in paranoid conspiracy theories he has found a bottomless well.

But there’s a problem with paranoid conspiracy theories, and that problem is simple: almost anything COULD be true. And if you give up on documented evidence and just back your own hunches, there is no end to how deep the rabbit hole goes. The human thirst for knowledge is boundless, but if your method of seeking the truth is flawed, you end up like a medieval alchemist looking for the secret to eternal life.

Jim was a good writer once, but he’s betrayed his gift for clicks.

  29. shox October 12, 2020 at 3:55 pm #

Outstanding analysis James!! This explains the Democrats’ disgraceful behaviour over the last few months. They either MUST win or else totally discredit the elections, because the law is quickly catching up to them. Perhaps they’ve sensed that they can’t win in in a fair and orderly election, so they’ve decided to bring in mail-in-ballots to turn it into an unresolvable chaos. It’s thoroughly cynical in their part and shows what utter contempt they truly have for America and it’s institutions. Anytime I see them addressing the public, invoking the constitution and the legacy of the founding fathers, my blood boils. I’m not angry at them. I’m angry that Americans are dumb enough to fall for it, that people actually go and vote for them. However much people dislike Trump, they need to put love of country first.

Hence also (in my estimation) the Dems’ aggressive efforts to smear, subvert or destroy the still functioning vital organs of society, including law enforcement and the judiciary system. How do you stop the hammer coming down on you hard? Either seize control of the apparatus wielding the hammer, or else tarnish its image, discredit it and twist public perception until the public no longer deems that the Dems should be held answerable to the law.

    • beantownbill. October 12, 2020 at 4:04 pm #

@Ricechex It’s utterly disgraceful. Marxism/Leninism has perfected the art of making the enemy look like your friend and the friend look like the enemy. This describes the Dems in a nutshell: they’ve brainwashed their voter base to see them as advancing America and its ideals, yet they are intent on destroying it. Meanwhile, everything that they themselves really are, they project onto conservatives. (Did you listen to that KunstlerCast three episodes ago when James interviewed that retarded economics professor who genuinely believed that the riots were by right wing extremists?) This is why people need to pay careful attention to what the Dems and regressive left accuses its enemies of. All of it is a subconscious confessional of their own true character and sins.

She doesn’t like her job, though. It’s beyond tedious.

If Biden wins, he will turn into a rhinoceros, and Harris will have to take over. But then she will turn into a cockroach. I always knew that life was absurd, and now it’s showing it’s real colors.

At Trump’s first impeachment the charges were utter laughable nonsense.

So in the spirit of Kafka, at Trump’s next impeachment the charges will be known only to Adam Schiff, who will then be sealed in a specially prepared capsule like Schrodinger’s cat. The bug-eyed Congressman will be neither alive nor dead until someone opens the capsule to check, which we’ll forget to do.

Meanwhile, the unspecified charges against Trump will both exist and not exist in a quantum superstate sure to baffle his lawyers. Nancy Pelosi will rejoice. Judge Sullivan will hail it as a breakthrough in jurisprudence.

      Now that’s surreal.

Must be contagious. In New Haven two “Sistahs” got into some kind of beef — over a man it turns out — and one Sistah kidnapped the others baby, set the baby on fire, and threw him in a dumpster. The baby survived thanks to an alert passerbye.

This happened in New Haven, home of Yale, where active Trump hatred has risen to astronomical levels.

Sometimes I wonder. What if the Democrats had spent the past 4 years in the background, saying little, quietly letting Trump run his mouth? He would have soundly alienated most of the nation by now.

Instead, they had to make themselves look far worse than Trump. Obviously, the Dems are not students of Sun Tzu.

Hm. Nominated 3 times for the Nobel Peace Prize, brought industrial jobs back to the US, has worked to maintain borders and sovereignty in the face of globalism, met with and started a peace process with North Korea, led a peace process between Israel and the UAE and Kosovo and Serbia, and on and on.

I didn’t say “terrible”; I said “alienating”, as in offensive, verbally abusive and insulting etc. If you don’t know the difference, YOU’RE FIRED!!

I actually prefer Trump to the DEMs. But the accomplishments you cite are paltry. 3 nominations for the the Nobel Peace Prize? Oh Pleeeeze!

        1) So what, anyone can be nominated. This year, 2020, there are 318 nominees. That would make January’s Democratic Primary field look as sparsely populated as Montana cattle country.https://www.nobelprize.org/nomination/peace/

        2) Trump never won. Obama did. Does he impress you? Curious, how many people he went on to bomb and kill after the award. In other words: The Nobel Peace Prize is a piece of bullshit.

        3) It’s usually an award for globalist toadies who serve a fraudulent and evil agenda. Greta Thunberg will probably get it soon. That will be some acceptance speech; she can curse them in Norwegian. Hope she denounces the committee for being white, having penises, and exhaling carbon. How dare you!

Little different in Portland … last nite after Peaceful Protesters had pulled down the Lincoln and Roosevelt monuments and destroyed the Oregon Historical Society museum, then threatened and beat up bystanders, throwing acid on some of them … the Portland Police Bureau released a statement saying “No crimes have been reported and no arrests have been made.”

Yes! It is certainly a hell force and its not fun for sure. But we have to be like other groups and just basically fight it with everything we have. Trump is doing some small things (kinda big things too) for us in terms of eliminating the critical race theory sessions for federal employees and ensuring whites are not discriminated against in federal contract work. We need that all expanded to protect us completely in every area of life but we have a start. We battle with these powers and principalities but God is with us. I do believe that.

This is how it may go with Barr-Durham:

“A three-year State Department investigation into Clinton’s email server released last year found that 38 people committed 91 security violations among the 33,000 individual emails sent to or from her private server during her time as secretary of state. However, it concluded that there was no widespread misuse of the server to mishandle classified information.

“While there were some instances of classified information being inappropriately introduced into an unclassified system in furtherance of expedience, by and large, the individuals interviewed were aware of security policies and did their best to implement them in their operations,” the State Department investigation concluded.

    Full article:

    https://foreignpolicy.com/2020/10/12/trump-2020-pompeo-clinton-hillary-email-server-election/

Many people will view this as the action of a totally desperate Trump. And of course Hillary is not running, a fact that even the most uninformed voter will be aware of.

As far as I know, the most prosecutable violations seem to lie in how the FISA warrants were obtained. The charge will be defrauding the court. From there it can devolve into “I thought I had reliable information”, “I can’t recall”, or “I don’t know”, all sorts of motions, etc., to prolong a trial. Then the Democrats take over if Biden wins.

Yes, it’s hard to decipher the polls, but Biden is steadily ahead and has about a ten point higher favorability rating than Clinton did in 2016. Trump crapped out on the covid and with the economy it’s ‘what have you done for me lately’?

“All this is why the Biden-Harris campaign is such a dispirited fiasco. They don’t matter. Their only “policy” is to front for a lawyer network aimed at protecting its members at any cost.” JHK

Is that how the rest of the people see it? I think that they may want better health care, higher taxes on corporations and the wealthy, and a sane, coherent policy on the virus. Some people like to live and be healthy. Maybe they don’t care much about immigration and the border.

The riots continue to help Trump on law and order, but he needs much more than that. He needs Barr to have that big, hot, smoking Smith and Wesson with Democratic finger prints all over it, along with the bullet that they fired into the heart of America.

    • SoftStarLight October 12, 2020 at 11:22 pm #

Wall Street is endorsing Joe and Kamala so if they do win it seems like the mega corporations and wealthy will thrive and their power will grow despite the rhetoric. And not caring about immigration and the border will be devastating for the environment. Billions would come to this country if they could. If even tens of millions come in just think of all the natural habitat that will be destroyed to make room for them. And that doesn’t even begin to address the strain on the healthcare system that represents.

      • tucsonspur October 13, 2020 at 2:18 am #

Trump delivered for Wall Street and the banks in a big way. Under him they had record profits. He cut their taxes and eased regulations.

I guess they see more national stability and also more of a globalist stability in Biden. They’re supposed to be the ‘smart money’. So Biden now has Big Pharma, Big Tech, and the Big Banks.

And notice that the immigration issue hasn’t even been mentioned. A major concern to the nation, and the Dems haven’t had to answer for their dangerous and devastating position on it.

Trump hasn’t been good for the environment but the alternative is much worse. If Trump loses he’ll have to surrender the WH. The big boys wouldn’t have it any other way. And the hordes will start pouring in.

        • SoftStarLight October 13, 2020 at 9:49 am #

Yes, Biden has the trinity of evil supporting him. And once again we are reminded that Trump could have done more in his first term to break up, fragment, and subjugate that trinity of evil. It appears that it was hard enough to fight the thousands and thousands of globalists and shills embedded throughout government. Lots of lost opportunities and lots of choosing enemies to be your friends. I am also very disappointed that the immigration issue is not being discussed much on the campaign trail by either Trump or Biden. And definitely if Biden wins get ready for millions and millions of refugees and migrants to pour in. I still think that the election is going to be contested and neither side will accept the result. Too much open fraud that everyone knows about now. But who knows.

I have read your change in attitude about Trump over the four years for non-performance and have agreed with you most of the time.

I think he should get the nice try award. He was so outnumbered from every direction that he never stood a chance to effect any sort of necessary change.

The real failures for the conservative, patriotic cause were the Bushes. They single handedly allowed the Left to load up this country with Latinos that shifted the balance of ethnic power so much. Also, this is the time period that the Left loaded up the universities with communists.

By the time Trump was elected to “drain the swamp”, it was too late. Obama’s reign of incompetence and Leftist drift just put the finishing touches on the political transfiguration.

Trump has failed to turn the tide. Stand by for the conversion to third world socialism. And all you Leftists who think that you are going to be better off under the “gimme” revolution, boy are you in for a rude awakening when the Left elite take all your money to support bringing mor immigrants into the country to seal your fate.

Not mentioned much, but the final seal may be a Dem law to make all the illegals legal. Between that and statehood for PR and DC,

The conservative movement in this country will be extinct.

Thank you so very much, you RINO SOBs.

          • SoftStarLight October 13, 2020 at 2:34 pm #

I basically agree with everything you say here too John. I would add though that something to watch is the support Trump has among Latinos, or Latinx if you are trying to fit in with the in crowd. Some pollsters are saying that Trump has unprecedented support among Latinos unlike any other Republicans. He may get as much as 50% of the Latino vote. If that happens then it will definitely be game over for Biden. Because they expect 10% to 15% of Blacks to break for Trump too. Actually you know, if Whites and Latinos ever ally politically then no other group will ever be able to surpass that demographic block.

        • JohnAZ October 13, 2020 at 11:24 am #

My opinion is that Trump’s failure to crush the resistance has a lot to do with his desire to get a second term. If term limits were instituted, say have the president serve one six-year term with no re-election, then Trump and any other president would automatically be a lame duck and unafraid of any pushback consequences.

  48. beantownbill. October 13, 2020 at 1:09 pm #

Last night I was thinking that maybe I’m being too pessimistic about the near future. I, like others of my age, now have experienced two unsettling times – now and the 1960’s. Our way of life survived the first, so we ought to survive the present unrest the same.

BUT the ‘60’s were actually different. We had the hippy anti-establishment movement, but the hippies weren’t very violent at all and eventually faded into society. Their activities we’re mainly drugs, sex and relatively quiet protests, based a lot on generational differences. Wasn’t it Abby Hoffman who said to not trust anyone over 30. Even then, though, there was a socialistic/communistic rebellion, which was the violent side of the movement. It culminated in 1970 or 71 with a bank robbery in the Brighton/Allston neighborhood of Boston that left a security guard or policeman dead, right near where I was living at the time. In fact the robbery occurred at the very branch I banked at.

For whatever reason, maybe because the people were outraged, radical change didn’t occur.

Now fast forward to today. We have a socialistic/communistic radical and very violent movement and most people are too pre-occupied to care. The establishment’s main activities are now on-line as technology has advanced over the past 50 years, and we have had and are having an invasion of foreigners, increasing our population way beyond what it should be.

It seems that the radicals never went away, but were in the background all this time. Now they are making their move. Looking through the last 50 years, I see that things have changed a lot.

So now I’m afraid of the immediate future. Not so much for me, but for my way of life. Many of the things I now enjoy look like they are going away. I worry about the people I love. They have no concept of what’s going down. My wife doesn’t appreciate how severe and disruptive life will be. She knows about what’s going to happen because I keep telling her; she won’t be surprised. But the rest of my family has no idea, so I will have to assume control, which they will initially resent, and for which I am unsure If I have the energy for.

There’s no middle ground now. Star Trek is the same: There’s Sulu/Takei Star Trek: Gay, RBG, BLM, Green New Deal, Eating Bugs. Then there’s Captain Kirk/Shatner Star Trek: Trump, Coney-Barret, Nuclear Power, America, Conquer the Universe.

      https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/george-takei-william-shatner-star-trek-feud-160133937.html

If there’s a future worth having, it’s White. Any other future is simply not worth having having. Shatner is the quintessential White Jew. Nimoy, a non-White Jew. Is this the reason for their falling out? Did Nimoy return to his religious roots in his old age, not wishing to see his old friend anymore?

      • beantownbill. October 13, 2020 at 3:04 pm #

Nah, they were just jealous of each other’s fame. Nothing religious involved, I don’t think.

Oh, so now there’s white Jews and non-white Jews? News to me. Please explain if you can do it without being nasty.

        • Sredni Vashtar October 13, 2020 at 5:09 pm #

Judaism is a multicultural/racial culture. How uncool are you not to know this? Did you never listen to Mika, who hated his White skin and blonde hair? He wanted to marry a dark skinned Yemini Jewsess to wash the White out of his genome for his progeny.

And of course there are Indian Jews in India and the Black Jews of Ethiopia. Even a few Chinese Jews.

Nimoy wasn’t a bad looking man, but he had strange features. Not European (White), but certainly Caucasian in the broader sense. Khazar influence? Don’t know. Shatner in contrast is completely White in appearance of course. As to how much identifies with us, well that’s another story. At least he’s a Trump guy. Most Jews are not.

Oh, I thought you were just speaking cuLturally, not surface appearances. Ok.

When I went to college in Jerusalem (just summer school for non-Israeli’s) there was a blond, blue eyed guy from Sweden. One of the American Jewish girls told him matter of factly,. “You could have snuck out of the ghetto.”

I wondered if that was a compliment, an insult, or an observation by someone who says the first thing that pops into her head. I suspect the latter. There’s a lot of verbal spontaneity in the American Jewish community.

          • FreddieMars October 13, 2020 at 6:50 pm #

            “I suspect the latter.”

The latter of these three alternatives is “an insult”, but I think you meant “the last” (verbal spontaneity).

Latter is also used to refer to the last item in a list.

I hate to refer to dictionary authorities unless they are at least corpus-based (because they are often unreliable), but here is an easy reference wrt this issue:

            https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/latter

: of, relating to, or being the second of two groups or things or the last of several groups or things referred to

Out of curiosity, what makes you think you are qualified to comment on the English usage of others? And I might also ask the same of Q. Shtik. Is it simply that you are a dickhead?

          • Kim October 13, 2020 at 9:29 pm #

Little known fact about Leonard Nimoy is that that he did the Spock character completely without make-up. Rather, he was in makeup when seen in real life. It was just easier for him that way.

            Kim

Just for the record, I am not a dickhead.

However, I didn’t check my prior knowledge, acquired, probably, about age eight.

More importantly, my remark was not intended as a criticism, regardless of how you might choose to interpret it.

You seem to be inherently angry. The first time you responded to a post I made, you called me ‘stupid’. Now you are calling me (by asking whether I am or not – very weasely of you) a ‘dickhead’.

Later, I DID criticize a post you made but you didn’t bother to respond. Why was that?

Your pontificating on this board is legendary, with screeds of learned bullshit, interspersed with rants and unjustified ‘ad hominems’ and simple nastiness. Most of these are just TLDR anyway, but I admire your efforts.

More importantly, my remark was not intended as a criticism, regardless of how you might choose to interpret it.

When you are shown to be wrong, just admit it and move on.

Don’t squirm around and try to deny the truth, like an infant that has just shat its diapers. It isn’t dignified.

I didn’t squirm. I admitted I didn’t check prior knowledge acquired more than half a century ago. What exactly do you expect? Your arrogance is beyond belief.

You are incredibly quick to use any opportunity to give a poster a good slapping, even when not in the least bit justified. Can you explain why you’re so nasty and what you get out of it?

I also note what is MISSING in your response.

          • Kim October 13, 2020 at 10:46 pm #

            @ Freddie Mars

Most of these are just TLDR anyway,

            I understand that

            1) not everybody is ready to read something lengthy at every moment

            2) not everybody is an effective speed reader

            3) reading something more than two paragraphs long is more difficult on a screen

            4) not everybody is equally interested in the topic.

So people may read or not, as they wish.

In general, a good strategy for longer reading is to just run an eye over the length of the text, see in a few seconds what interests you, read that part, and go from there. Mentally, yu can assemble and make sense of the discourse as you go.

In other words, there is no need to read straight from beginning to end – unless you want to reply, and then you would have to be more familiar with the whole text.

Of course, it behooves the authors of longer texts to signpost their texts appropriately.

            Kim

Thanks. You’ve described precisely how I ‘read’ when I come to one of your screeds. Hence, TLDR. Bingo.

You’re clearly highly educated but incessantly arrogant. But I do not require a primer in skim reading. Sheesh. But thanks for not calling me something insulting (for once).

          • Kim October 14, 2020 at 7:26 am #

Oh! So, prefacing a post with ‘@‘ removes the right of anyone else reading or commenting on said post? OK…got it. Thanks for putting me straight.

Oops. Couldn’t resist a little insult there, again, I see. It must just be in your DNA. (I blame the parents.)

        • Kim October 13, 2020 at 10:14 pm #

          @ beantownbill.

Oh, so now there’s white Jews and non-white Jews? News to me. Please explain if you can do it without being nasty.

I will explain it without any nastiness at all. Here goes:

First, we’ll put aside the fact that there are African Jews as indicated in this article

          https://howafrica.com/israel-unblocks-big-immigration-of-ethiopian-jews/

That said, in recent years, in particular say over the last ten or twenty years since social media became a thing, jews with a social media profile or even with some visibility in the trad MSM have regularly indulged themselves in a very dishonest game of “Am I white or am I a Jew?”.

In this “what is my identity” game a jew will on one occasion make statements in the role of a white person (an evil oppressor) and and on another occasion separate themselves from whites and claim maximum victim status claiming in all-caps “As an oppressed jew I stand with Blacks and Gays, etc.”

If you haven’t seen this or you aren’t aware of it as a social media meme, then that would be surprising because it is very, very common.

Two popular related social media memes have been

          1) Meme # 1: the “echo brackets” ((())) which are often seen around the name of a jewish commentator. The purpose of this is to identify as a jew someone who likes to play the turncoat game of being on both sides against the middle.

Occasionally social media jews will themselves use the echo brackets ironically to “take ownership” of this supposed slander. But that doesn’t work because it still draws attention to the massive over-representation of jews in MSM and in the left media and how often they are slandering whites anddeliberately and in an organized way working against white interests.

          2) Meme #2: The “My fellow white people” meme used to satirize this phrasing, commonly used by people who might – as convenient – one day play the oppressed jew card but then on another day will claim membership in a white identity so that they can then say shaming/virtue signalling things like “My fellow white people really don’t get it. It is about time that we whites faced the truth of our white privilege!”

Jewish comments/false identifications like this are intended to distract from the fact of – if anyone has identity-related privileges in the USA – jewish privilege.

One only has to look at – for example – the astronomical and entirely unjustified over-representation of jews at the Ivy league colleges, at the cost of whites and asians – to see a good example of such privilege.

          https://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/2010/07/16/kevin-macdonald-jewish-overrepresentation-at-elite-universities-explained/

“…between a quarter and a third of Harvard students identify themselves as Jewish, while Jews also represent just 2% to 3% of the overall population. Thus, it appears that Jews and Asians constitute approximately half of Harvard’s student body…

….One might simply suppose that this is due to higher Jewish IQ. However, on the basis of Richard Lynn’s estimates of Ashkenazi Jewish IQ and correcting for the greater numbers of European Whites, the ratio of non-Jewish Whites to Jews should be around 7 to 1 (IQ >130) or 4.5 to 1 (IQ > 145). Instead, the ratio of non-Jewish Whites to Jews is around 1 to 1 or less.

But to return to the main point, the issue of whether jews are “white”, well it appears to be that for many or at least for media-prominent jews it is the case that they are white when it is convenient and are not white when it is not convenient.

You can imagine that whites – who believe that they are being widely misused, slandered and discriminated against in modern American society – do not appreciate this kind of turncoat behavior when at the same time they see jewish academics, politicians and billionaires running campaigns against “toxic whiteness” and where whites are the only ethnic or racial group in the country that are not allowed to claim ethnic or racial interests or express or organize themselves in ethnic or racial or identarian terms.

You can easily (but dangerously) test this. Try to set up a White or European Heritage Student’s association at your local college – put up a few flyers – and see how fast jewish students, professors, lawyers and jewish organizations such as the ADL and the ACLU come down on you to get you closed down, doxed, sued, arrested, expelled, and damaged. Watch as your social media world shrinks and disappears inside 24 hours.

So to answer your question, no, in general, it appears that jews are not white. Mostly because they don’t want to be and are often very hostile indeed to white identarians, and where jews do claim to be white, they can’t be relied upon to stay white.

          • FreddieMars October 14, 2020 at 4:58 am #

            Way too TLDR…

          • beantownbill. October 14, 2020 at 12:10 pm #

If Jews are hostile to white identarians, it’s because it smacks of Nazism, whether true or not, and Jews are rabid anti-Nazi. Can you blame them? Even if you are a Holocaust denier, that meme has been around since WW2, and it’s understandable that Jews have that attitude (of course the Holocaust DID happen, but that’s a discussion for another day).

I’ve always considered myself white and I’m not a flaming liberal – read my posts. Most everything you say about Jewish behavior can be said about non-Jews. You obviously don’t like the Jewish people, so everything you say about them is colored by your dislike. I find it distasteful arguing with you on this subject (and it’s not because I’m afraid to).

Concerning over-representation in colleges and universities, well, what do you expect? First, IQ discussion is far from resolved. Second, Jews and Asians place high value on education. I wonder if there’s been a measurement of general knowledge – what colleges generally, if not obviously, mostly base admissions on. I’d bet Jews and Asians are more knowledgeable than non-Jews/Asians. Naturally they’d be more likely to be accepted in colleges, going head-to-head.

I do thank you for not being nasty, despite your own dislike.

All people of good conscience must reject the currently promoted racist dogma of white shame, blame, guilt, and punishment (via reparations). This violates the American and Enlightenment principle that all people are individuals who bare responsibility for their own actions, not those of their ancestors or relatives. There are places on earth where tribal collective guilt and vengeance is practiced. The results are not good. Rwanda and Yugoslavia come to mind.

One sees a common thread in the rhetoric of demagogues like Milosovic or Hitler. Tell your people they are victims, they’ve been cruelly and unjustly treated by those people over there – those others. Oh, but now it’s our turn to get even, to do to them what they did to us. So what if 200 years have passed; feel the pain like it happened today.

It’s a small step from anti-white racism to singling out Jews as the focus of the problem. Many in the black community already preach and believe that Jews were the financiers of slavery, the ship captains, the plantation owners. The extent of those “facts” are disputed. But facts matter less and less in our info age. People believe what satisfies them, what feeds their hate.

In short, I’m saying we must stop the insanity of tribalizing American society. Treat people as individuals. Wasn’t that the original goal of the civil rights movement, which has now evolved into a bizarre agenda of grabbing freebies and cultivating righteous hatred..

Tiny Tim [Herbert Kaury?] was only half Jewish.
I once spoke with someone who had toured with TT, on a small time show biz tour.
Tiny would start drinking early in the day.

Whatever else Tiny Tim was, he was a devout, practicing Christian. I remember the time he walked off Howard Stern’s show when he thought Stern was was insulting his faith.

Tiny Tim was wierd and he cultivated it; being wierd was part of his act. He was a big fan of 1920s crooner Rudy Vallee, and other entertainers of that era, and his career was based upon nostalgia, and trying to recreate some of that earlier showbiz magic.

Tiny Tim was a good soul.

The cultural revolution never ended. It just shifted like you said. Many of the radical hippies became school teachers and continued to pass on the leftism which is definitely and thoroughly taught pretty much in every school, especially in the public schools. Other radicals went right into government. They have all been rigging the system ever since and they replicate via indoctrination. Did you know there is a group that is planning to disrupt the entire country if DJT wins? Yep! It’s a big progressive network.

I believe we have reached a point where none of the classical political viewpoints or separation points matter any more. This November elections are going to be driven by raw emotions, namely hatred, fear and the crudest forms of will to power. Much as I respect Jim, I don’t think he appreciates the enormity of the pseudo-liberal machinery that has been assembled to pulverize the GGG, or the Duchess of Grand Fenwick, alias the Mouse That Roared. This is not 2016 when the MSM and the Great Dem Sellout Coalition (minus the ragtag Berns who would not join) had treated Trump’s candidacy with jeering contemptuous neglect. This is 2020 where all guns are out and firing and no holds are barred. In this situation, knowing the actual results of the election will be technically impossible to ascertain and the issue will give way to crude political bullshit fests, organized street violence and sending the Union into warring factions. If “not recognizing” Trump’s presidency has been – despite everything – somewhat hyperbolical speech up until now, it will be a fact of life starting this November (barring the senile swine’s landslide by eight billion voy\tes). It may well be that Trump is the last president of the United States as we knew them.

    • Sredni Vashtar October 13, 2020 at 1:25 pm #

Yes, that’s why Trump must never leave office except by natural death, passing it on to Don Jr.

The Republic is dead, killed by its own Capitalist excesses, like offshoring and bringing in massive numbers of legal and illegal immigrants to displace their own people. How stupid and selfish was that? No words can ever describe it.

This is no cure within the current system. Thus the solution is to change the system. The knot cannot be untied and the crazies cannot be allowed a voice. Cut the knot is the only answer.

Jettison the crazies and the primitives. Then we can be happy again in a world reborn. Canada will fall and we can pick up much of White Canada to add to our domain.

The Crazies are right about the evils of Capitalism. Their solution is Communist Terror. That’s why they’re crazy and evil. The real answer is American National Socialism (which includes lots of Capitalism and private property, etc).

    • Night Owl October 13, 2020 at 3:33 pm #

I wouldn’t go that far. I think Trump will win and that the white hats (or whatever you want to call them) are in the end-game phase. They know what is coming once the ballots have been cast, and they are prepared.

The only answer to the massive corruption are arrests and suitable punishments. This is the globalist push. They want to end the nation state as we know it, and the US must go down.

Trump just called out Soros and co. for attempting to wreck the US economy. This Admin. knows exactly what is going on.

    • beantownbill. October 13, 2020 at 4:15 pm #

Yeah, it looks like neither side is going to let the other win. That means unless a rapprochement Is met, which seems highly unlikely, our country won’t have a recognized new president by 1/21. If enough time passes without a duly elected one, something would have to be done. Everyone says we will just split up. But rationally, what would be the mechanism?

Are there regions where all the states are politically compatible? And are different parts of the same state compatible? Look at New Hampshire and Maine. Southern NH and southern ME are much more liberal than the northern parts. Do they break up into 4 states? Southern and northern NY are different, too, so do NY and NJ end up as 3 states? Northern Maine would be geographically isolated. Which region makes sense for them to join?

We could end up with 100 states, ultimately. But they wouldn’t be just states. They could be separate countries because of geographic considerations. Could the country of Northern Maine be part of Idaho? They could easily be politically compatible, but it wouldn’t make sense. They are also different culturally as well as geographically.

Then, if we end up with several dozen countries, treaties would have to be set up and embassies as well. That would be monstrously difficult and complicated. And further, the boundaries of each state could change, too. Would western CT become part of the nation of Southern NY? See where this is heading? Breakups would take forever to settle. It almost makes it impossible to break up compatibly. Don’t forget North America is a continent. How does Mexico and Canada fit in?

I believe that for the foreseeable future, we’ll end up with a feudal civilization, with warlords fighting continual wars for power, both politically and resource-wise. Welcome to the New New World.

They don’t matter. Their only ‘policy’ is to front for a lawyer network aimed at protecting its members at any cost.”

Just like the creepy cardboard cutouts of people’s faces that are placed in empty seats in sports stadiums, some kind of creepy representation of Joe Biden and the Democrat Party is being hauled around America in an ongoing election process that is now an empty exercise in simply repeating past behaviors that no longer have any relevance or significance to them. Standing in line for hours to cast a ballot for one of two choices of bad candidates and sellout political parties is hardly a reason for one to feel proud or that something useful has been accomplished.

“Sometime after the election and before the 20th of January, a great big hammer is going to come down on the people who organized the RussiaGate op and many of its spinoffs.”

Perhaps, it might just be said that… ‘Sometime after the election and before the 20th of January, a great big hammer is going to come down on The People’ (end of sentence). Part of Orwell’s “boot” upon the happy voters and non-voters from Sea to Shining Sea.

This is all profoundly sad. Once you get past all the analysis and posturing and media-spinning and anger and drama… one is left with the sense of overwhelming loss and sadness over what is and has been going on. What we’ve all lost and will never get back.

A lot of truth there, but we are still arguably the greatest nation on Earth. China has copied our capitalism in a big way. Its communism has morphed into a largely free market. Ultimate State control yes, but what do we have here in fact? Didn’t our government use bailouts and stimulus just as China did?

We still can say and do what we want, the violent protesters taking that freedom to a dangerous extreme. You can imagine the response in China or Russia or a dozen other places. Even our poor have it much better here than those in the rest of the world.

If it wasn’t for the virus I’d be playing poker up in Vegas, eating at sensational restaurants, drinking with Dionysus. Skiing in Colorado, camping in the canyons of Utah. Eyeballing bikinis at the beaches. And I’m far, far from being a rich man.

The truth of the matter is that even if Biden is elected, I’ll still be able to do those things if I so choose. Things will change in a way that we don’t like, but what are we going to do about it? Be unhappy and depressed? Not for me. Enjoy life. Don’t let the Left ruin it. You then lose twice.

So don’t be imprisoned by incongruous ideologies, don’t become an inmate to the irreconcilable.

All through this fiasco there have been varying opinions about everything. One scientist says this, another that.

I guess the only reasonable answer is what makes sense, do it.

      • Night Owl October 13, 2020 at 5:18 pm #

Not really. There has been critical thinking, and there has been a lack of critical thinking. And there has been a McMedia with a record of lying to you nearly 24/7 on any issue that counts.

The virus passes through the mask. Something Fauci told you himself.

But the better question is, given the information available, why would you need a Fauci to tell you that? Why would you listen to the McMedia?

        • JohnAZ October 13, 2020 at 9:19 pm #

          Okay, I hear you.

However, I remember this early summer, when the southern tier started coming off of lockdown and in all states that took the lead, surges, big ones, occurs. When partial lockdowns went back into place, the surges subsided. Now that we are trying to get the kids back into school and remove some more restrictions, here we go again. Do not try to deny both of these occurrences, they have both happened. Even when the surges subside, there is a leveling off of cases at unsatisfactory levels. Why?

If mitigation is required to keep the case rate lower, so be it. If the Let ‘er rip folks, which I believe you are, the hospitals will overload quickly, leaving folks at home and without care, the mortality rate will rise.

You may think that reduced droplet output with a mask is not a big thing, I do. Social distancing is even more important. Droplets are real, I have witnessed them in action, just talking. Stopping the spitting has to slow down the transmission.

I am starting to believe that mandatory mask laws are unenforceable. I will continue as my part in trying to reduce transmission.

BTW, I do believe we have nailed down all the transmission causes. Droplets are one. Airborne is the other. Masks are worthless against airborne transmission, Your statement about viruses pass through is correct. Not only through, but around. Only the N95 sealed masks at hospitals can stop the airborne invasion. Hence the leveling off in the states.

Here is the rub, the social conundrum. To fix the airborne problem is economically impossible, thus politically impossible but volatile. How do the idiots in our government tell us that fixing the problem is impossible? The scientists cannot even get their act together because the end State says the problem is impossible to fix.

FYI, the reason that mitigation controls the surges is probably that droplets, being larger than airborne particles, carry a bigger virus load. The connection between viral load and severity of the infection has been definitely established.

Nothing makes me laugh more than seeing people overusing masks, ie walking down the street or in their cars. Masks are only required when staying six feet away from folks is impossible. Then it still only protects from spit.

          • JohnAZ October 13, 2020 at 9:27 pm #

            Sidebar

Lockdown philosophy started in China. Lockdowns are mitigation solutions that are unnecessary if folks will just respect each other’s personal space. This country should never have been shut down, just mitigated. All that was required was some adjusting of personal space in the workplace, shopping and restaurants and we would have been just as successful.

Did I mention idiot young people that cannot seem to stay six feet apart?

Interesting timing since WHO conveniently came out against lockdowns . Perhaps this was all about trying to force political revolutions throughout Western countries and maybe the world and it didn’t work out as planned. The strange behavior and constant shifts of the supposed experts doesn’t make much sense from a medical standpoint. Maybe it was never supposed to.

        Fascinating!

        • SoftStarLight October 14, 2020 at 12:09 pm #

That isn’t Congress doing its job. That is a shill using Congress to advance his own clique’s agenda in flagrant way. I assume you failed to read the specific conspiracies he wants addressed and dealt with. Yet he is one of the biggest conveyors of conspiracy theories. Did that escape you or did you pretend not to notice?

          • FreddieMars October 14, 2020 at 6:22 pm #

            Hey SSL

Yes, I read the whole QAnon post you linked to. It sure reads like a House Committee procedural agenda. Whether that can be subverted by a Committee Chairman – a ‘shill’ as you accuse him of being – may or may not be true. I don’t know, but clearly, your own narrative is served by such claims, so go right ahead if it gives you a buzz. Just don’t expect everyone to agree with you.

You accuse Shiff of being “one of the biggest conveyors of conspiracy theories.” That’s an easy accusation to make but would you please oblige us by listing a few? Even a couple? One?

The fact that you don’t see the utter contradiction in your remarks on the HC’s investigation brief and the speculative accusation (with proof promised but not provided) you promoted so enthusiastically is astounding to me.

The irony that this new accusation relates to the Benghazi saga (Trey Gowdy’s 33 run marathon) is also just too precious. It seems that this new ‘whistleblower’ has had plenty of opportunities to present his purported evidence from 2012 to 2016, but has not done so. Quite the patriot, isn’t he?

          • SoftStarLight October 15, 2020 at 1:45 am #

Disagree all you want Freddie is totally fine with me. Adam Schiff was pushing conspiracies that there was all this evidence that Trump was colluding with Russia and yet there is not. So there is one example for you. And be astounded and amazed all you want. You say I enthusiastically promote this alleged whistleblower when I clearly stated “if this is legit”. You say it doesn’t make sense but you act like your troubled hearing it. So you must be worried that your wrong.

          • FreddieMars October 15, 2020 at 8:26 am #

As is your style, you move to tell me what I think. Wrong -I actually don’t give a rat’s ass about Benghazi. In this case, it’s just the McGuffin in the argument, which is about how you can’t see the internal conflict in your own behavior.

          • SoftStarLight October 15, 2020 at 11:17 am #

OMG seriously!! This again? You can think whatever you want to think I really don’t care. Obviously you are being very clear that you are not listening to anything I said. You were just trying to make this whole conversation about my behavior which why didn’t you just say so up front that was your whole agenda. And yet. It has nothing to do with my posts. And if you are worried about someone being a patriot then why don’t you care about Benghazi for example? You need to deal with your own internal conflicts apparently Freddie. And you aren’t even an American are you?

          • FreddieMars October 15, 2020 at 2:20 pm #

What do you mean “be up front about …”? That’s precisely what I was. My original observation was about your inability to see your behavior for what it is. Go back and read the whole thread, I suggest.

As to you ’really don’t care’ what I think, you sure SEEM to.

I have to immerse in order to emerge again, I must imbibe to survive. Just escaped into the movie, and the poet Maxwell H. Brock spoke to me again at the Yellow Door while I had Turkish coffee and smoked Gauloises:

“I will talk to you of Art, for there is nothing else to talk about, for there is nothing else… Life is an obscure hobo bumming a ride on the omnibus of Art. Burn gas, buggies, and whip your sour cream of circumstance and hope, and go ahead and sleep your bloody heads off. Creation is, all else is not. Creation is graham crackers; let it all crumble to feed the creator; feed him that he may be satisifed. The Artist is, all others are not. A canvas is a canvas or a painting. A rock is a rock or a statue. A sound is a sound or is music. A preacher is a preacher, or an Artist. Where are John, Joe, Jake, Jim, Jerk? dead, dead, dead They were not born before they were born, they were not born… Where are Leonardo, Rembrandt, Ludwig?

Alive! Alive! Alive! They were born! Bring on the multitudes with a multitude of fishes: feed them with the fishes for liver oil to nourish the Artist, stretch their skin upon an easel to give him canvas, crush their bones into a paste that he might mold them. Let them die, and by their miserable deaths become the clay within his hands that he might form an ashtray or an ark. Pray that you may be his diadem: gold, glory, paint, clay, that he might take you in his magic hands and wring from your marrow wonder. For all that is comes through the eye of the Artist. The rest are blind fish swimming in the cave of aloneness. Swim on you maudlin, muddling, maddened fools, and dream that one bright, sunny night the Artist will bait a hook and let you bite upon it. Bite hard and die!… in his stomach you are very close to immortality”.

There is no art in politics, unless you call cunning and pompous, Pecksniffian platitudes art. And no, there is no art in war. Only strategy and tactics, courage and cowardice, deviousness and the decay of death.

On Tuesday during her Scourging by Idiots trial ACB used the phrase “sexual preference” now the professional far left has taken hold of that phrase and weaponized and is going to use it against ACB and her supporters.

The Orwellian part is that recently Websters’ online dictionary changed its meaning of “sexual preference” to match the left’s rhetoric.

I don’t think it will go very far because it confuses too many D-party voters, especially since most don’t want Gay/Lesbian tyranny any more than I do, but it is interesting to see how utterly cruel and despotic the left has become to even think this is legit.

I heard that part of the confirmation lead up and asked my wife who cares about LGBTQ alphabet soup any more that fight is long gone.
Further where is the word marriage actually defined as a right anywhere in the Constitution or the bill of rights?
I had some bull dyke pushing for signatures during the push for queer marriage tell me queers were being denied rights that others had.
So I asked it what right specifically is being denied?
It refused to answer because it KNEW the line was bullshit.
So I asked it again oh you mean marriage so I asked it point blank where marriage traditionally a role for a man and women was defined as a right and spelled out anywhere.
I was met with stony silence and that glower people get when they know they have lost.
I suggested the queer marriage movement change the stance and language from marriage to civil unions and wandered off.

      • Night Owl October 14, 2020 at 8:16 am #

To be fair, most homosexuals want marriage as a legal status, meaning they get the same tax breaks, etc., as heterosexuals who are married.

I can understand this to a degree, although there are some gray areas.

If you are referring to marriage in a religious sense, then that is just culture war stuff that is never going to go away. There will always be those who wish to take what you have, even if the only point is the simple act of taking it.

        • benr October 14, 2020 at 9:12 am #

My point exactly so take the word marriage out of the equation and insert civil unions where in sexuality is also taken out of the equation.
Who you choose to spend your life with and confer benefits to should not matter to government nor should government be involved in marriages at all.
If I want to live and confer benefits to my aging parents, siblings or anyone of my choosing then I should be able to engage in a civil union.
That also takes into account those who believe in more than one spouse as they are now clearly being discriminated against.

This just showed up in my inbox….

Could a chemical known to be so simple, safe, and cheap actually be effective in fighting COVID-19? So cheap, in fact, that pharmaceutical companies aren’t interested in it? There just wouldn’t be any good profit margins.
I wrote about the efficacy of vitamin D very early on in the pandemic. I even received some pushback from a couple of team members at my publisher, but I already understood how well vitamin D stood up against past respiratory viruses… and that is precisely what COVID-19 is.
The only issue that the medical community had with regard to vitamin D and COVID-19 is that there had not yet been a randomized, controlled trial of the vitamin on patients who had contracted COVID-19 with symptoms.
Finally, the results from a trial that recently took place in Spain have been published. And the results are crystal clear.
Here is what the trial looked like:
? 50 patients that were hospitalized with COVID-19 were given vitamin D
? 26 patients that were hospitalized with COVID-19 were the control group (no vitamin D)
    And here are the results:
? Half of those not given vitamin D became so sick that they had to be moved to intensive care
? Only one person who took vitamin D required intensive care
? The use of vitamin D reduced a patient’s risk of requiring intensive care by 25-fold
Wow. These are astonishing results. One of the authors of the trial, Vadim Backman of Northwestern University, estimates that just by using vitamin D, we can cut the COVID-19 mortality rate in half.

        Scurvy is coming back?

I was on a Pirate kick for about 3 years, collected and read a whole shelf full of books about pirates. (I couldn’t believe I found so many.) Anyway, a main theme of the story was Scurvy. From the 1480s when the Portugese ventured to Africa till about the 1740s when Cook was fatally wounded in Hawaii, Scurvy was a problem. It’s hard to believe it took European Navys that long to figure out a cure, which in hindsight seems so simple. For people who are getting scurvy now, grab yourself a bag of lemons, limes or oranges.

A couple of slight factual corrections for you:

          > Cook was killed in Hawai’i in 1779, rather than 1740;
          > 1747 was the year James Lind ran an experiment with citrus (Vit C), but the RN still waited almost 50 years to implement the idea;
          > James Cook, on his own initiative, introduced a dietary supplement of sauerkraut & malt, which proved effective.

Cook was first greeted as the fulfillment of a prophesied return of a god -figure. (I can’t be bothered researching the details right now but, as I understand it) he arrived from the west at the right time of year. On his return trip, he blew all his propitious circumstances, arriving from the east and at the wrong time.

The Hawai’ians were more than a bit disappointed….

Funny thing is vitamin C is not to hard to get at all. It is found even in fresh meat. Fresh goat meat is packed with huge amounts of Vit C. Damn it, even common supermarket drinks contain vitamin C.

These people must be living on crap from next to the cash register at 7-11. Or maybe they are generally undernourished, like the don’t eat at all, like crack or heroin addicts.

    • Night Owl October 14, 2020 at 10:05 am #

I keep saying it. Vitamin D is a miracle worker. If you read the most recent research on it, not only are most people deficient, but we likely need WAY more than currently suggested.

I posted this a while ago, but Fauci’s staff claims he is taking 6,000 IUs per day. This is far, far higher than the standard recommendation.

    • GreenAlba October 14, 2020 at 10:48 am #

      benr

I’ve been taking double Vit. D (=4000 IU) daily for months now, just as a precaution (I also take a daily ‘baby aspirin’*, given the blood clotting issues with Covid19). But people need to be more wary of jumping on ‘studies’ without looking more closely at them.

If you look at this link …

      https://www.nice.org.uk/advice/es28/chapter/Key-messages

… there is a further link in the para ‘On 28 September 2020 NICE published a medicines evidence commentary on vitamin D supplementation for preventing intensive care admission in people with COVID-19 associated pneumonia […] which provides a commentary on the study to which I presume you refer (Castillo et al, 2020). This is how science works – someone does a study (in this case an RCT, but very, very small and with significant limitations) and other scientists comment on it. So other people do further studies.

‘Crystal clear’, as you can see from reading the commentary, is a bit optimistic.

But I continue to take the double Vit. D in the meantime because why wouldn’t you?

      Re aspirin:

      https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04365309

I don’t think there’s any need for the conspiracy stuff, though, regarding the avoidance of cheap solutions. Dexamethasone is cheap as chips in pharmaceutical terms. Also there are numerous RCTs being conducted as we speak involving Vit. D, which are possibly going to be better conducted and analysed than the Castillo trial. As neurodoc has pointed out, good science doesn’t happen at warp speed.

      • benr October 14, 2020 at 11:32 am #

Not really a conspiracy theory that big pharma wants peoples money and consistently push expensive drugs instead of less expensive or even natural alternatives.
Take CBD oil as a key example.
        NOW CBD is very expensive.

        • GreenAlba October 14, 2020 at 12:01 pm #

I have no love for big pharma, but in this case, the theorising can be overdone. Like I said, dexamethasone is truly cheap and has been found to work (but not for everyone – nothing does that so far) in very large RCTs, and aspirin is even cheaper. So it’s not affecting what the scientists/doctors are doing in running their trials. And, as I said, Vit. D is being trialled in multiple places and costs pennies.

I’ve been taking double Vit. D (=4000 IU) daily for months now, – GA

        ===========

Is there any advantage to getting one’s Vit D via pill vs sunshine or vice versa?

        • GreenAlba October 14, 2020 at 2:56 pm #

With some vitamins it seems to make a difference (vitamins in food being better than supplements, in some cases), but *my understanding* is that it makes no difference with Vit. D.

So you can protect yourself from melanoma/wrinkles AND against infections. For pennies. 🙂

          • GreenAlba October 14, 2020 at 3:00 pm #

I didn’t mean the Vit. D would protect you from melanoma or wrinkles – just that you can use a straw hat/sun cream (especially if you’re a fair Scot like me, travelling in foreign parts) and not worry that you’re not getting your Vitamin D!

        • hmuller October 14, 2020 at 5:13 pm #

I think it’s great people take supplements to help their immunity, but they have to be smart about it. There’s such a thing as too much vitamin D. Below some info from the web:

“Can you take too much vitamin D?

Vitamin D toxicity can have devastating health effects, which may not show up until months or even years after starting to take high doses. Generally, it is not recommended to exceed the upper limit of safe intake, which is 4000 IU (100 micrograms) per day

The main consequence of vitamin D toxicity is a buildup of calcium in your blood (hypercalcemia), which can cause nausea and vomiting, weakness, and frequent urination. Vitamin D toxicity might progress to bone pain and kidney problems, such as the formation of calcium stones.”

          • GreenAlba October 14, 2020 at 6:28 pm #

Whew, I’m ok then, hm, with my 4000 IU (it’s just two recommended daily pills, instead of one). Doubling up was recommended by my nearest and dearest, for the duration, in a ‘you should probably … ‘ kinda way – not sure if he’s taking two a day as well or if he’s trying to bump me off. 🙂

But I agree that there can be too much of a good thing, vitamin-wise, so people should check. And with some, like Vit. C, which is water soluble, you eventually just pee out the excess if you take more than your body needs, but not immediately I think.

          • benr October 14, 2020 at 8:20 pm #

            @ga

To much C and you get ulcers in your mouth.
My dad and I used to buy oranges by the case and eat them morning noon and night eventually you have to stop eating them for awhile.

          • GreenAlba October 15, 2020 at 7:56 am #

Not too good for your teeth either, benr, to be grazing oranges all day!

But Vit. D is fat soluble and is stored in the body, so you can take one a day or 7 a week all at once, etc. I just meant Vit. C doesn’t work like that, so there’s little point in taking ‘too much’, however defined.

    Free Bill Cosby!

I wonder if I should try to appear in the Court in a suit and tie with a solemn demeanor on December 1st to show my support for Dr. Cosby? A black man can’t get a Fair-Shake in this country. The only kind of Shake that gets a Fair-Shake in this country is a Vanilla Shake.

“ HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — The Pennsylvania Supreme Court will hear Bill Cosby’s appeal of his felony sex assault conviction on Dec. 1.
Cosby, 83, is serving a three- to 10-year prison term. A lower appeals court had upheld his conviction, but the state’s high court agreed this year to review two key issues in the case.

One involves the trial judge’s decision to let prosecutors call five other accusers to testify about long-ago encounters with Cosby at his 2018 trial. The defense calls their testimony remote and unreliable.

The high court will also consider whether the jury should have heard evidence that Cosby had given quaaludes to women in the past. The evidence came from Cosby’s own deposition testimony in a related lawsuit.”

    Could it be so simple?
    No really…hugging a cow!
The Dutch are an odd lot are we so sure they are just hugging the Cow?

Dubbed “koe knuffelen” in Dutch (literally “cow hugging”), the practice is centred on the inherent healing properties of a good human-to-animal snuggle. Cow cuddlers typically start by taking a tour of the farm before resting against one of the cows for two to three hours. The cow’s warmer body temperature, slower heartbeat and mammoth size can make hugging them an incredibly soothing experience, and giving the animal a backrub, reclining against them or even getting licked is all part of the therapeutic encounter.

Anything not set into law but ruled on from the bench is always reversible.

      Seriously?

My apartment complex makes me sign a waiver just to go swimming every time I want to and also make an appointment.

      Is that contempt?
Do you even understand what the word means?

Speaking of contempt how about hiring over 600 lawyers to litigate the coming loss to the Donald or the hildabeast telling Biden under no circumstances should he concede the election?
They know they will lose and are making plans to just take over!

No one is saying old peoples lives don’t matter your buffoonery’s is getting out of hand.
It was clearly DEMOCRATS in New Jersey, New York and to a lessor degree California that mandated covid infected people be sent to rest homes to infect 10’s of thousand of elderly people with the boomer remover. Doing so inflated death numbers dramatically over what they would have been had they not done so.

“Does not caring if they die seem like a winning strategy to you?”

            Nope does it to you?
Dems have spewed for years about throwing grandma off the train so resources could be given to illegals on one hand and squealing as well as accusing Republicans of doing what they themselves do.

Misdirection ad accusing your opposition of engaging what your side is doing.
            Is that a winning strategy?
How about funding riots and endless accusations of racism?
How about changing language to the effect of calling riots mostly peaceful?

So every American who died of Covid is Trump’s fault?! That’s just ridiculous. Are the leaders you support also responsible for every such death in their jurisdictions? According to the CDC 94% of Covid casualties averaged 2.6 co-morbidity factors. Just like old people dying every year of the flu and pneumonia and other complications. Yes, they died even when Obama was President. What a sorry leader that OIbama, couldn’t even stop old people from dying.

You are buffoon, ohyesiam, making absurd assertions contrary to fact. “I don’t know about hearing that voice in the sack, though.” – stated by Kim and quoted by GA

            ===========

Funny you should mention that voice. The other day my wife and I were having breakfast and the TV was on. I heard ACB’s voice for the first time and I instantly blurted out to my wife “That’s all I need to know about ACB. With that little girl voice I would not vote to confirm her for the SC.”

My wife chuckled. She knows there is nothing that drives me wild like an adult female with a little girl voice. If you pay attention you realize such women are everywhere.

          • GreenAlba October 15, 2020 at 1:13 pm #

Now I’m going to have to find out what her voice sounds like, on a device with sound.

But, for clarity, when I said ‘I do know why you said it’, I wasn’t referring to my appreciation or otherwise of her voice, which I haven’t heard.

I was referring to the textbook practice of misogynists in reducing and demeaning a presumably clever professional woman in the time-honoured way they know best.

It’s why we have wall-to-wall pornography – to take the last 40 years away from women and put them in their place.

I don’t know anything about her, other than what I’ve read recently (including her slightly idiosyncratic religious attachments), but I’m sure she’s an accomplished professional, regardless of her views, which probably don’t really concur with mine, but doubtless will on some matters, as is the way.

But the way to put a professional woman down, in Kim fashion, isn’t specifically about her looks or her voice – it’s about reducing her value to ‘would you or wouldn’t you?’. Because that way you take agency and significance away from her, regardless of her achievements (if truth be told, because of her achievements).

A well-known tabloid journo here famously did it to a female Labour deputy leader by using the actual words in an article.

Straight out of the misogynist’s handbook.

One might ask if they’d like people to write about their wife like that, except that (a) a lot of them probably don’t have one, and (b) if they do they probably wouldn’t care what anyone said about her.

I read this comment on another blog recently.

    Quote
I realise it’s a massive task you must have set yourself but when can we expect your expose on mainstream fake news media and antisocial media’s apparently (internationally) co-ordinated continual brainwashing and reprogramming of the public with doctored videos to reinforce voters’ Trump Derangement Syndrome?

Examples that spring to mind are:

Cutting off the start of a talk where Trump refers to Democrats attacks on his handling of the Coronavirus crisis as yet another Democrat Hoax so giving the impression he called the virus itself a hoax.

Cutting out the lines where he stated he wasn’t calling racists and white supremacists fine people and utterly condemned them from the middle of a “quote” on statue counter-protesters giving the false impression he was actually calling racists and white supremacists “fine people”.

Jumping from a part of a speech where he talked about George Floyd’s funeral and how he must be pleased about…[so omitting that he said the public’s reaction to his death] to a much later and entirely separate part of the speech where he was talking about the economy to give the impression he was saying George Floyd must be pleased about the unemployment figures.

And of course the slicing and dicing of over an hour of video of a briefing and questions and answers that included reporting of medical experiments by doctors in hospitals on COVID19 patients with tried and tested techniques such as chemical lavages and “injecting disinfectant” Far Ultra Violet LIGHT into ventilator tubes to try to give the impression Trump was telling Americans to try drinking household bleach and even injecting it at home.

And they aren’t just leaving it up to the public to gain a false impression from their Pravda-like editing but then not only telling people he’d said what they’d falsely given the impression he’d said when he hadn’t but brought on “experts” to discuss how crazy he was to say what he never said.

And then reinforced their fake news in opinion and discussion programmes.

And then consolidated it in the public’s minds by broadcasting “comedy” and satirical shows where supposed comedians continually reinforce the claims and how ridiculous Trump is when in a sane world they would be taking the P out of the claims and telling us how ridiculous the media and antisocial media moguls are.

Yes the long march through the institutions has finally reached the end of the road.

The final destination was obviously blogs which exposed crazy religious cult-like behaviour!…

However any fule no even BBC ITV Sky and especially Channel 4 have hordes of reporters and US editors at every Trump press conference and if they haven’t got their own complete unedited video they have access to it.

And their “entertainment” show editors and lawyers could and should have checked the full context before allowing their comedians and comedianesses to lie.

And then if things had gone that far edited their overpaid “talent’s” lies out of their own videos.

    So publish and be damned.

Instead of publishing daily blogs about some Chinese virologist.
    End Quote

I expect that all of his examples are factually correct. Can anyone here confirm it?

The Center for Strategic and International Studies is a deep state think tank (swamp creature) which made the ludicrous claim that “90% of US terror incidents in 2020 were the activities of White Supremacists and other right wing groups.

Oh Pleeeze!! Someone must have just crawled out from under a rock to believe such utter nonsense. Being a foreigner is no excuse, ohyesiam. • Kim October 14, 2020 at 9:38 pm #

Be interesting to see their definition of “terror incident”.

Would this qualify as a terror incident?

        https://www.clickorlando.com/news/local/2020/10/14/arrest-made-in-random-face-slashing-attack-that-left-teen-injured-in-orange-city/

Negro lies in wait in bushes for a 15 year old teenage white playing basketball alone to walk past then slashes his face. The wound – which required 150 stitches – was a reported six to eight inches long and one inch (!) deep.

The perp was caught after boasting of the attack, telling people that he had “gave a jit a buck fifty”.

A “jit” is south florida slang for a person younger than oneself.

A “buck fifty” is prison slang for face slashing.

No doubt the young white man was a white identarian or nazi and so deserved everything he got, but still, does this fit the definition of a “terror incident”?

      • ohyesiam October 15, 2020 at 4:14 am #

        @hmuller

Don’t pretend to be stupid. There is a difference between general crime and gangland violence and terrorism, as you well know.

Right-wing terror incidents would include the 2019 El Paso Walmart shooting or the Tree of Life massacre in Pittsburgh. They have a political or racial motive.

Do you think that these gun nuts are just a bunch of rednecks with self-esteem issues? Some of them are real psychos.

        • benr October 15, 2020 at 10:53 am #

Don’t be obtuse yourself one mans terrorist is another’s freedom fighter and if they are not a gang of sorts what is?

          • ohyesiam October 15, 2020 at 12:37 pm #

            Here is the FBI definition:

“Violent, criminal acts committed by individuals and/or groups to further ideological goals stemming from domestic influences, such as those of a political, religious, social, racial, or environmental nature.”

The El Paso shooter published a racist manifesto and targeted Hispanics. That makes him a terrorist.

Criminal violence is just about money.

          • hmuller October 15, 2020 at 4:26 pm #

            So ohyesiam,

You certainly won’t try to argue BLM and Antifa are “right wing terrorists”, would you? I can’t be sure, further up you tried to tell us the left wing anarchist loons who wanted to kidnap the Michigan governor were somehow Trump’s people.

Are BLM and Antifa terrorist organizations? Or are you going to maintain the CNN meme that they are “mostly peaceful protesters” airing legitimate grievances. Just rambunctious boys and girls loving justice and humanity. Let’s not look at all the rioting, arson, looting, vandalism, assault, murder, and yes even rape.

I think you are beyond reason and redemption.

          • ohyesiam October 15, 2020 at 6:05 pm #

The Michigan kidnap plotter were right wing militia members, gun nuts, libertarians. Here’s a sample:

“Pete Musico was active on YouTube, where he posted video blogs against taxes, gun control, and the so-called deep state. A video posted in 2019, entitled “Gretchen Whitmer Interview”, depicted him railing against her policies around automobile ownership. Musico was also active on Gab, where he promoted the unfounded claim that there is an ongoing campaign to kill white people in South Africa. He also followed the accounts of Proud Boys organizer Joe Biggs and InfoWars personality Owen Shroyer. On Twitter, he expressed support for Trump and conspiracy theories regarding Bill and Hillary Clinton, and the high presence of mercury in vaccines.”

Sound like a left winger to you?

But a video circulating online shows accused plotter Brandon Caserta in front of an anarchist flag railing against Trump.

Caserta, 32, of Canton Township appears in other videos complaining about the government and posted inflammatory messages on Facebook, including one in which he asks whether it’s all right to “initiate violence” against non-violent people.

In a viral video being shared by conservative music producer Robby Starbuck, Caserta says, “Trump is not your friend, dude. It amazes me that people actually, like, believe that when he’s shown over and over and over again that he’s a tyrant. Every single person that works for government is your enemy, dude.”

Sound like a Trump supporter to you?

You guys, stop wasting your time arguing over the bad points of each candidate or each party. In 20 days our way of life as we know it will be gone. Either of the 2 possible losers will not accept the election results. Not only that, they will not just shrug and let that pass. Either side will try to affect the results into their favor. It will be a mess and irreparably ruin 235 years of tradition.

It’s easy to be glib and say you’re ready for it, but it really will be beyond anything most people have ever experienced or imagined. Did you read about what the Colorado Democratic Committeeman said? He may be a nutcase, but many people will listen. In better days he would be arrested on several charges. The sad part is the Republican Party will probably act the same if they lose.

Actually, no one can know the future (even Dr. Nostro), so what I’ve written is only my opinion. With great luck, come March, I will happily state I was wrong and was just a Nervous Nellie. But I don’t think so.

I’m not trying to protect anyone. I’m curious as to what you are referring. I am saying just ignore posts from those who obviously are not just commenters, but are trolls, either paid individuals or people with emotional problems.

Lately, we have ostensibly new posters like ohyesiam, kris2244, and others of that type. I know some are repeaters with new names.

I almost always can tell when someone is a troll because their posts contain certain common characteristics. They tend to have a condescending, snide and mocking tone; almost all are anti-Republican, anti-conservative. These are the posters I’m saying to ignore. Does that answer your question?

  76. Kim October 14, 2020 at 9:17 pm #

    @ beantownhill

    1. Main point: you ask “aren’t Jews white?” and the answer is “they switch back and forth as it suits them politically”.

You don’t like that answer, but there it is.

Ask yourself, am I a jew or am I white?

Maybe you are one and then the other as it suits you?

Can you blame whites then for seeing jews as dishonest, hostile and untrustworthy?

    2. It is not that Jews are simply hostile to identarianism, they are hostile to any claim of white identity at all. And even the existence of whites.

They are hostile to the point that that they work against white freedom of speech, white right of assembly, white freedom of association, and through their control of the mass media continually slander whites, conceal crimes against them, and devise, promote, fund and justify antiwhite hate activities such as critical race theory.

You can’t honestly deny any of this.

So do Jews see themselves as whites? Not if we go by their actions.

    3. you say – yet again so tediously – “nazi” and I answer Godwin’s Law.

    4. Wrt to college over representation, the claim that Jews favor education more than whites

    A. is unprovable, self-serving bullshit

    B. ignores the fact that the way jews get their massively and in fact absurdly disproportionate over-representation is via the non-exam component of the entry process.

In other words, whites are OUTCOMPETING the jews in exams but jews are nonetheless still getting their places against their higher-scoring competition. The system is rigged against whites.

Thus the current lawsuit against Yale.

    https://nypost.com/2020/10/09/doj-sues-yale-for-allegedly-discriminating-asians-whites/

Read UNZ on this issue. It is all laid out very clearly.

    • John1945 October 14, 2020 at 10:33 pm #

Why do you care about the Jews in general ???

In my opinion an Honest Jew is worth 1000’s of dumb Goyim like me.

      2 examples come to mind:

      1.Norman Finkelstein who wrote
      “Holocaust Industry”

After that book his chances of getting tenure went to zero.

2.Astrophysicist-computer scientist Mike Hart who wrote
      “Understanding Human History”

About how long time ago part of our ancestors left Africa and, settling in cold hostile environment, had no choice to become smart and crafty.

And why those who remained in Africa were not particularly motivated to pull themselves out of state of savagery, where they will still remain for the next 10 million years, does not matter where they live-Africa,Chicago,Baltimore…

I looked up the bio of that Mike Hart and was even more impressed. In early 50’s he volunteered (!!!) for the Korean War and served honorably as an infantryman.

I never volunteered myself for anything, before or since, never felt an itch to become a Hero 🙂

It is true that some other Jews are spinning their poisonous narratives, hopefully not for long. And I hope to see how NYT and WaPo will die from terminal inattention in a not too distant future.

      • Kim October 14, 2020 at 11:10 pm #

        @ John1945

Your response is a pretty good example of why I sometimes do not respond to people who respond to me (if I happen to see such a comment).

But I will answer you here and will go as slowly for you as I can.

        1) beantownhill asked a plain question. I gave him a plain and irrefutable answer. He didn’t like it. In fact, his answer proved the truth of what I said. But que sera sera. That is the way of cognitive dissonance.

        2) beantownhill made some very refutable claims which included a number of typical anti-white slanders. I refuted and rebutted them. People who are slandered should take care to answer such slanders or they will become set in stone.

Criticisms of me for answering anti-white slanders reminds me of the sign on the Frenchman’s garden gate:

Méfiez-vous du mauvais chien. Si vous le frappez, il vous mordra!

Watch out for the bad dog! If you hit him, he will bite you!

(Normally this is translated “Attention, chien mechant!…” but I can’t find the standard quote.)

        3) You state

In my opinion an Honest Jew is worth 1000’s of dumb Goyim like me. 2 examples come to mind: 1.Norman Finkelstein who wrote “Holocaust Industry”

Leaving aside the tone of miserable, wormlike self-abasement in this statement – and as far as that goes, I cringe and feel sorry for you – you can’t see what is logically wrong with what you are saying here? Really? Then I will tell you.

What you are saying is that yes, millions of jews lied about the holocaust but we can ignore that and they must all be jolly fine people because one jew told the truth.

If you can’t see what is logically and socially problematic in such a statement, then yes, you certainly should not be admitted to Harvard.

        4. With regard to the excellent Mike Hart and his also excellent book, “Understanding Human History” – a favorite among white identarians! – I have no idea why you have brought him into the discussion.

        • beantownbill. October 14, 2020 at 11:31 pm #

There is no dishonesty, slander or hypocrisy to which this troll will not stoop. But he will continue to find favour on this board because ideology trumps decency, except in a few posters.

        • GreenAlba October 15, 2020 at 6:49 am #

And I have to say that it is also ‘disappointing at the very least’ that our host, who regularly berates people for ‘scurrilous’ comments, is also sufficiently cowed to let vicious, slanderous and utterly hypocritical holocaust deniers like this dangerous troll entirely off the hook every time they do it.

Graves are being spat on. Their occupants deserve better.

Slander, as the troll claims, should be answered. Slanderers, as the troll claimed, should be punished.

But they’re not. And it isn’t.

            GA,

Again, I appreciate your comments. You seem to be a fair-minded individual.

I’ve posted on this blog for 12 years. The entire time I’ve experienced anti-Semitic commentary. Almost my entire life I’ve been exposed to both physical (many fights) and emotional harassment because of my Jewishness.

I’m so used to it, it doesn’t bother me too much. Up until I started commenting, all of my harassment was directed to me. I have fought back, sometimes losing and sometimes winning fistfights. I’ve had many cuts, scrapes and broken knuckles.

But on this blog, I’ve experienced a different kind of discrimination: an attack on Jewry itself. When it first started here, I was very offended and often struck back verbally. I was concerned that non-Jews here would believe what the haters wrote. But I’ve since learned that people can discern the truth, so any energy I used for my concern was unnecessary. Now, I almost laugh at the haters’ stupidity. It’s their problem and waste of their energy, not mine. This is why I can say to Kim I have no hard feelings about his ridiculous claims.

Thank you for your reply to Kim’s anti-Semitic post. Where I don’t agree with you is your statement that an honest Jew is worth 1000’s of dumb goyim (although I like your kind sentiment). Everyone, IMO, is born equally worthy, although that may change depending on how people live their lives. My 2nd point of disagreement is that you are NOT dumb.
I note you correctly stated some Jews do spin hatred, but that happens with some individuals in every group, and Jews not more than in any others. The fact that you can see through such bullshit, to my mind is indicative of good character.

    Great News, Ladies and Germs;

The UPI has just reported, this PM, that Germany has agreed to pay approximately 664 million dollars to…Holocaust Victims. It is about time. Consider that anyone in the camps in 1944, at the young age of 5 years old, would be today a ripe and healthy 81 years old, if 15 years of age, then 91. It proves the old adage that what does not kill you makes you stronger, yes?

    https://www.upi.com/Top_News/World-News/2020/10/14/Germany-to-give-664M-in-aid-to-Holocaust-survivors/2761602712669/

    • Kim October 15, 2020 at 3:29 am #

You need to update your definition of Holocaust Victim.

In past handouts, it has had nothing to do with “camps” and simply any jew resident in any area under the influence of the third Reich in the period 1934-1945.

So if you were a Jewish living in, say, Biarritz, or perhaps even Casablanca, sometime in that period, congratulations, you’re a Holocaust Survivor (TM).

Summing up the many crimes and peccadilloes of Hunter Biden.

    • BackRowHeckler October 15, 2020 at 1:13 pm #

I like that word ‘peccadilleos’, something scintillating about it, describing proclivities and situations that are bad, but not too bad. (Like when Hunter knocked up that DC stripper, I mean, I don’t blame him she was pretty hot, a country girl from Arkansas, a Div 1 college athlete.)

Last I heard of Hunter he was hauling ass around LA in a Lamborghini, living the good life, with the knowledge that if his old man is elected President he is home free and deals will keep rolling in.

      Brh

    • BackRowHeckler October 15, 2020 at 3:22 pm #

Lunden Alexis Roberts was stripping at a club called Mpire under the stage name ‘Dallas’ when she hooked up with Hunter. At the time Biden was dating his brothers widow … when Hunter found out ‘Dallas’ was knocked up apparently he was suddenly scarce around the Mpire club, where just recently he has been so prominent, and such a big spender. Who knows what promises Hunter made to ‘Dallas’ in the heat of the moment? She’s a country girl from Arkansas trying to make her way in the big city, and here she is in a luxury suite in the Waldorf-Astoria with the son of the Vice President of the United States. This his heady stuff.

Astrophysicist (and, after work, evil Rayciss and White Suprematist) Mike H. Hart published a novel “Rebellion”:

    https://www.amazon.com/REBELLION-Novel-Michael-H-Hart/dp/1734687509

“This novel describes a revolt against the government of the USA. It is carried out by conservatives who fear that the Democrats are attempting to set up a dictatorship. The book describes how the rebels are organized, and how they are armed. It describes the outbreak of the revolt, the course of the fighting, and the final result.”

Publication date February 2020,well before Antifa/BLM madness.

Yet another example how it is possible to be highly educated and ultra-smart w/o being wise.

From the former home of George Floyd…where it all began.

Actually, pretty calm here in the (not yet but almost) frozen tundra.

Small businesses discovering it may cost $25,000 to tear a damaged building down, but $250,000 to haul away and properly dispose of debris. Rioting has its costs for the little guy.

Meanwhile, Trump has pulled almost all campaign ads from MN. Guess he figures it’s a lost cause after hosting a super-spreader event here in flyover country before he was diagnosed with the cozy.

Local bars/restaurants going to almost comical extremes to prolong the outdoor dining season. It’s bound to be a national newsmaker before the snow flies. One place actually said they will remain open for outside dining unless a snow emergency (3″) is declared. Outdoor heaters and firepits flying off the shelves.

My 86 year old aunt (last living relative on dad’s side of the family)
has been diagnosed with whatever the fuck it’s called (Chinese flu?). Tough when it hits close to home. ‘Fraid she’s not big, tough and invincible like the POTUS. His comuppance is just around the corner. Goodnight, Kim.

Well Joe’s handlers appear to be all in for the covid reset. Joe will mandate the vaccine by restricting the activities of the unvaccinated. Probably the idea being that life will be made so miserable and isolated for people by the restrictions that they will be cowed into taking the vaccine. And he also plans to mandate the mask by encouraging local officials and govenors throughout the country to enforce the mask.

Lockdowns are a brute force method that should only be used when infections are running out of control.

When the numbers are manageable, an effective test, trace and track system is needed to hunt down and destroy virus clusters.

That’s how countries like South Korea got on top of the virus. Western countries could learn a lot from it.

Hunter Biden Partnered with China Military Contractor Notorious for Stealing US Military Technology to Acquire Michigan Parts Manufacturer

In 2015, Hunter’s Bohai Harvest joined forces with the Chinese military contractor; Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), to buy American parts manufacturer; Henniges Automotive.

AVIC has been identified as a front for China’s military.

Hunter Biden’s partner in the Henniges deal, AVIC, was notorious for it’s history of stealing U.S. military technology to build their own fighter jets and drones.

But for U.S. security experts, it was remarkable for another reason: An investment fund named Bohai Harvest RST (BHR) partly owned and directed by Biden’s son, Hunter, and Secretary of State John Kerry’s stepson, Chris Heinz, had just a few years earlier played a vital role in facilitating the sale of the Michigan-based auto parts maker Henniges Automotive to one of China’s main military aircraft makers, Aviation Industry Corporation of China or AVIC.

That 2015 transaction approved by the Obama administration and its Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) came just 15 months after the United States publicly added one of AVIC’s subsidiaries to a Commerce Department blacklist (known as the “Entity List”) and just months before the Obama administration resumed patrols in the South China Sea because of increased Beijing military aggression in the region, where AVIC-built military jets partake in China’s activities.
