The Coen Brothers must be writing Nancy Pelosi’s script now, a kind of Macbeth update set in a swampy Potomac lowland at Halloween time: Madam Speaker rides her fabled scepter up in the night sky, around the capitol dome, across the moon’s laughing face, to the White House, trailing vapors of hatred and malice as she curses the Golden Golem within. Her mask matches her designer frock, woven of cobwebs with dark strands of enmity. Her hair is perfect. Her flight-path not so much, as the Golem below easily shoots her down through the oval office window with a rubber band and a paper clip and she augers, smoldering, into the rose garden… Fade out….

Well, tomorrow is here, and exactly the hour this blog regularly gets posted is when Mrs. Pelosi aims to announce her latest scheme for ousting Mr. Trump: perhaps a bill for some kind of new 25th Amendment commission to work around the inconvenience of the law as currently configured, that is, an executive branch prerogative. The stunt has two purposes: 1) to paint Mr. Trump as unfit — a song as old and boring now as I am Woman, Hear me Roar — and 2) to put up a smoke-screen diverting voters’ attention from her obdurate refusal to compromise on the latest Coronavirus relief bill.

The paranoid hysteria on display among the Party of Chaos suggests that those polls showing Ol’ White Joe Biden up twelve points may just be more media dis-info. The purpose: to claim, when the time comes, that the President won reelection by some kind of subterfuge, and justify an all-out post November 3rd Lawfare offensive to challenge the ballots in every swing-state, and do exactly what they are blaming Mr. Trump for in advance: confounding an orderly resolution of the peoples’ will.

Is it possible that some Democratic Party voters begin to suspect that the party officials running this game have lost their minds? A good signifier, of course, is the ghostly figure carrying their battle-flag, Mr. Biden, the Flying Dutchman candidate whose mind slips in and out of fog-banks as he navigates the shoals of defeat. Why did the Party ship out with him on the poop-deck? My guess would be: to deflect indictments of himself and many other former officials as the steady flow of documentary evidence gets released by new DNI John Ratcliffe, including a batch this past week showing pretty incontrovertibly that everybody and his uncle in the Obama executive branch was keenly aware that RussiaGate was a Hillary campaign ploy and allowed themselves to be weaponized into the scheme — under the assumption that she couldn’t lose and they’d never be found out.

She lost. They’re found out. Grand juries have been convened by Mr. Durham. Something wicked is coming their way. Their ship is going down and the rats are all squeaking desperately in the scuppers at the rising water. Won’t this all be a shock to that crew of media fabulists who stupidly maintain that the Mueller Report actually proved something — the David Frenches, Max Boots, and Rachel Maddows of this world and their True Believer followers? History is rhyming again. It’s like 1794 in Paris. The Jacobins’ Reign of Terror comes to its sudden and ignominious end with Robespierre bawling under the national razor. So does today’s Reign of Perfidious Sedition close, with Jim Comey bawling, “I can’t recall,” into his laptop.

Incidental to this is the breaking news — sure to not be reported in The New York Times or by CNN — that one Devon Archer, business partner of Hunter Biden (and John Kerry stepson, Christopher Heinz) has just had his previously overturned conviction for security fraud reinstated by a federal appeals court. Sound abstruse? Yeah, kind of, but, believe me this boy is in some serious hot water, the rap being a federal one, and Mr. Archer now poised to sing like a canary to John Durham’s posse about his various financial exploits in Ukraine and other foreign lands with Joe Biden’s son (and Mr. Kerry’s stepson) in exchange for lighter jail time. You just watch.

Keep your ears pricked also for developments involving Senate Select Committee on Intelligence ranking member Mark Warner (D-VA) and his role in 2016-17 as an active disseminator of Steele Dossier RussiaGate dis-info in coordination with the George Soros funded Democracy Integrity Project, run by former Dianne Feinstein chief-of-staff Dan Jones and assisted by swamp lawyer Adam Waldman, a Steele / Warner go-between who happened to be a $40,000-a-month lobbyist for one Oleg Deripaska, a Russian billionaire and Clinton Foundation donor (at least $1-million) who also employed Christopher Steele as a dis-info errand boy. Unpacking that one will be like unpacking the surgical batting in a sucking chest wound. Scrub for it.

In this now bi-polar nation, the mood swings get wilder by the week. The President had a bit of a rough seven days, what with his Covid-19 treatment at Walter Reed and stunningly rapid recovery, which sent his adversaries into a transport of hebephrenic distemper. Vice-president Mike Pence calmed the waters a little bit in his Wednesday meet-up with the Harris Administration candidate — no doubt the rogue housefly poised above his right ear fed him juicy debating points. Kamala Harris demonstrated a talent for mugging, face-pulling, eye-rolling, and leering. If the veep thang doesn’t work out, she might consider a career as a mime. Her home turf, San Francisco, used to be full of them until the local pols let homeless junkies take over the streets.

Outstanding verbal imagery once again! I remain skeptical as to any rash of indictments… Old AG Barr is as swampy as they come, a jowly re-tread from Bush the Elder’s cabinet.
As to the Empire State… Cuomigula delenda est!

    • teddyboy46 October 9, 2020 at 10:15 am #

I agree Bill Barr has talked tough and done nothing.

      • Night Owl October 9, 2020 at 10:52 am #

On the surface perhaps. Much more going on in the background. But this has been the case for the past 4 years. People claiming nothing is happening, but not noticing what is happening.

        • sophia October 9, 2020 at 6:41 pm #

I dunno. Seems to me like all this should have happened a year ago. Maybe there were glitches and delays in the plan. If it had been even partially exposed and cleaned up earlier, we wouldn’t be on the edge of a revolution with foreign mercenaries being invited in to regime change our election.

          • FreddieMars October 10, 2020 at 5:12 pm #

with foreign mercenaries being invited in to regime change our election.

Sophia, this is the first I’ve heard of this, aside from your UN Forces remark previously. Please elaborate?

          • Amman October 11, 2020 at 5:30 pm #

I just cannot envision foreign mercenaries signing on to “regime change our election” in the US. The notion baffles me…. perhaps she means agents of influence like Soros.

I never realized Nancy was wearing a mask. I always thought she looked that way naturally.

  3. hmuller October 9, 2020 at 10:00 am #

If people realized that it’s Nancy who is standing between them and their second $1200 stimulus checks, someone would drop a house on her. Or maybe drench her with a bucket of water and watch her melt. Do botox and water interact violently?

    • SouthernYankee October 9, 2020 at 10:08 am #

      Do they? I hope so.

    • Bill7 October 9, 2020 at 10:55 am #

My take is the reason the two halves of the Duopoly “just can’t agree”
on another Stimulus Package is because *both of their donor classes*
don’t want the proles to get any more money thann the measly
$1200 they got in, what, April? They’re both happy to quickly pass bill
after bill to give the Plutocrats even more money, though..

The Democ**ts are far worse, though, because they claim to be the
part of the People- now descended to empty idPol and instigating
      Civil Wars. Horrid.

Adding: I still say that nothing will come of any of these investigations™- Durham, the past Horowitz one; nope,
nothing, nada. Clinesmith’s (is that the flunky’s name?)
all you’re gonna get.. they’ll keep the theatre going for
us rubes, though. “Just in™: bombshell!/game changer!”
        yadda-yadda..

The insanity of “Helicopter Money” will one day be seen as a clear indicator the system was rotten to the core and on its last legs. There’s no recovery to “normal” from here.

What’s left of American wealth is being looted and redistributed via currency debasement. While the uber-rich are getting the bulk of it, I will squall like a wet baby for my share. (HInt: buy gold, better yet silver, while you can)

  4. Night Owl October 9, 2020 at 10:03 am #

Some minds never had any doubt it was Clinton. Her initial Tweet on the Russia Conspiracy and Mook’s appearance were the kick-off. Talk about telegraphing it.

The question that remains now is: How deep in was Obama? Was he merely briefed by Brennan and the Stroker, or was he a director … Maybe a certain seditious lady friend living in the basement at Fort Kalorama can fill us in …

    • grochef October 9, 2020 at 11:51 am #

If one wants to know what the democrats are up to in their latest scheme, all they need do is listen to the accusations from the cackling siren herself (Hitlery). She always accuses Trump of doing what she is actively doing. Correction: Listening to any of the crazy (D) politicians accuse Trump and know, that is exactly what they are up to.

  5. shotho October 9, 2020 at 10:14 am #

You’re on to it Shoto, my thoughts exactly. If the election is stolen, and Biden wins by some miracle, his removal will be facilitated by the protocols just recently put in place by the “Commission”. I think that’s the angle – easing Harris right into the Presidency.

  6. teddyboy46 October 9, 2020 at 10:14 am #

I love the nautical metaphors. I hope JHK is right about John Durham being the avenging angel and striking low the enemies of the state.

    • JohnAZ October 9, 2020 at 10:27 am #

Boy, do I agree with you on this one. If Barr in the lead, and Durham in the saddle do not prosecute these bums, the government loses its credibility for any king of justice. Trump loses his credibility Some more to do war with the Deep State and pick effective people. He loses votes of the faithful for non-performance.

There are 330+ million potential write in candidates in this country.

      Just kidding!

  7. JohnAZ October 9, 2020 at 10:22 am #

Unmentioned was one of the couriers of the Steele document

John McCain supplied it to the media, as I remember.

This was a Deep State hit job. Flake, Collins and The gal from Alaska had a hand in there, I would bet.

Trump has not completed his task in history until the RINOs are expunged from politics, or converted to Democrats and destroyed.

  8. doggersize October 9, 2020 at 10:27 am #

Trump has already publicly stated he refuses to work on a covid relief bill until after the election.
any measure to remove him from office via the 25th amendment would have to come from members of his own party. Aides and Senior Staff can testify to how incoherent and unfocused he is at meetings and briefings. How easily distracted. in addition to his gross ignorance about the rest of the world. But they risk alienating his supporters, many of whom are not exactly hicks, they just already know how disappointed they are in every other candidate or office holder from both parties.

    • vengeur October 9, 2020 at 10:51 am #

            In this context, yes.

But try this one on: in my first few years in Germany, I used to confuse Pfütze and Fotze, because when spoken they sound extremely similar.

As bad as this is, it will be buried in the covid-hysteria, mail-in ballot controversy, the Michigan governor kidnap plot, the fly on Pence’s head, and anything and everything that can be used to divert attention from this crime. Already the NYT’s headline is “Trump Lashes Out at His Cabinet With Calls to Indict Political Rivals” so Trump sounds more like Stalin than the target of a collusion crimel. The story has been virtually blacked out on the evening news and will more than likely remain so.

“Throughout the campaign, and for many weeks after, the Clinton campaign denied any involvement in the creation of the dossier that was later used to secure a secret surveillance warrant against Trump associates during the Obama administration. Journalists later discovered that the Clinton campaign hid the payments to Fusion as a “legal fees” among the $5.6 million paid to the law firm. ”

I have Democratic friends who staunchly defend Biden and his son, Hunter with the following logic — the Trump family has profited by Donald being President and the Bidens are no different. The fact that Biden threatened the Ukrainian president with tax payer money means nothing to them. It’s the same as Ivanka selling jewelry and crap. So don’t get your hopes up that Devon Archer’s testimony will change any minds.

Comrade Kamala is quite the piece of work. Her arrogance and distain for lesser humans (that would be everyone who couldn’t advance her agenda) was barely contained and her obvious love of power are there for all to see. If she gets into the WH, we will be sad.

    • Beryl of Oyl October 9, 2020 at 12:21 pm #

SW, I’ve seen that arrogance and disdain in the children of politicians.
      The Cuomos come to mind.
Kamala is like them in that she got where she is not through her own hard work and talent, but through a connection to a more powerful person.

They never think they are lucky, they think they are the best there is.

      • SW October 9, 2020 at 12:57 pm #

Kamala is smart enough to know who’s going to help her get her hands on power and use them to the fullest. That’s her primary talent and she has no scruples to hold her back. When it was in her best interests to put her knee on the necks of black drug abusers, she didn’t hesitate. She has an ugly authoritarian side to her too that could make our lives miserable. I don’t like her, I don’t trust her to do anything but self aggrandize and I pray she’s not our next president.

My brother met Chelsea Clinton about ten years ago when she was going to speak on her mother’s behalf at some fund raiser. He said she ignored the people who put the event together, answered in monosyllables when she had to and was insulting to the audience when asked questions she didn’t like. He was underwhelmed.

      • FreddieMars October 10, 2020 at 9:23 pm #

Sort of reminds one of Mr. Trump’s own history, no?

  13. JohnAZ October 9, 2020 at 10:35 am #

KH is just one of the malcontents that stole the Democratic Party from moderation. When, eventually, the extremist giveaway clowns blow up, she will float out to sea, like all the rest.

    • SW October 9, 2020 at 11:14 am #

Kamala is a determined, steely-eyed opportunitist who’s going to be around for a long time.

      • Ron Anselmo October 9, 2020 at 11:41 am #

She’d like to be around a long time, but maybe not.

    • abbybwood October 12, 2020 at 12:54 am #

      And she is a liar.

She personally shelved the prosecutions of pedophile Catholic priests from the San Francisco Archdiocese when District Attorney there and she refused to indict Mnuchin for banking crimes even though all her staff attorneys said there were a thousand criminal banking crimes committed by his bank.

She is just more Democrat scum who screwed her way to the top as Willie Brown’s mistress while he was married to somebody else. (Sorry, but he has admitted it).

And last week at the VP debate Harris refused to answer the question of Supreme Court packing in light of the fact that Biden has said the American people “do not deserve to know” where he stands on the issue. We’ll see…..

Imagine my dismay when I picked up my Sunday Los Angeles Times from the driveway this morning only to discover that the toadies there had “endorsed” Biden? Seriously??!

They endorsed a demented man who only a few days ago said the minimum wage should be $15 MILLION then pulled his mask down to cough in his hand?! Who said he kicked Korn Pop’s ass at the pool? Who said little kids used to stroke his legs in the pool to watch the hairs move? Who has a bad habit of grabbing little girls and sniffing women’s hair? Come on, man!!!! Oh, and who has been accused of sexual assault (and Harris said during the primary that his accuser should be believed!). Not now should she be believed….but then.

And to add insult to injury the L.A. Times today had their leftie columnist, Robin Abcarian’s article, “How can we stop a rambling, unstable president?”.

Here is the real question: How can a subscriber like “yours truly” stop rambling, unstable journalists and editors from heaping crap onto my driveway?

Easy. One phone call (and a letter to the editor) and they will be hitting the L.A. Times tomorrow.

  14. malthuss October 9, 2020 at 10:53 am #

    Gun Control? I found this,

That line in the original news story “guns trafficked from other states” is a massive howler of a lie.

The media in the major US city where I live is also using that same lie to explain gun violence among black people here. I have complained about it in letters to the editor of local papers every single time I see that repeated in a news story, which is often.
Obviously we are dealing with a nationally organized campaign to promote that talking point “guns trafficked from other states”. Someone at the national influencer level should confront that lie directly but of course like with everything involving conservative values, civil rights, and constitutional rights, our right wing leadership just lets it slide and we lose over and over.

In the city where I live, black people commit THOUSANDS of shooting every year. Almost every news story about such crimes will include the phrase “guns trafficked from other states” in order, apparently, to absolve black people from culpability for shooting each other, as if a gun was somehow transported on a magic carpet into the hands of a young black man at precisely the moment he was emotionally vulnerable enough to pull the trigger and had it not been for that magical sequence of events he would have never committed a crime at all.

Point being, there is always some other reason why black people are committing such a ludicrous amount of violence. Obviously, we are all going to lose our second amendment rights because black people simply refuse to conform to any kind of laws so nobody can own a gun. There can’t be a gun anywhere within a million miles of black person (meaning you cannot own a gun) because otherwise it will, as if by magnetism, magically fly into the hands of black man who is powerless to resist the temptation to pull the trigger.

But then it also has to be said that the mainstream media almost willfully refuses to report on what is actually happening at the street level with this violence because they always want to make black people seem like angelic beings who are cast about innocently by the vicissitudes of capitalist oppression being trafficked by white people from other states obviously.

Were it not for the irresponsible white people selling firearms in other states, Wakanda would be peaceful and happy. We need to do something about those white people in other states who are causing all this violent crime!
This entire topic is reported in such a deceptive way by the mainstream media that it completely destroys their credibility.

    • JohnAZ October 9, 2020 at 11:42 am #

      C’mon.

Everything that the Left grifters say is a lie, a connived story, a fairy tale.

The entire last four years has been a disaster for this country for one reason alone. DJT has been made a solitary target for all elements of the Left, they have spread lies about him and his family since he hit office. They meet and scheme, especially the MSM on how to cherry pick the news to make him look the worst. It is no wonder the very stupid people of this country have been hoodwinked by the constant onslaught of negative propaganda aimed at them.

Trump took away their power and toys when he won in 2016. The country will be in bad shape if the voters elect the scumbags that connived this all up in the last four years.

Enjoy your vote if you elect the bums. It may be your last meaningful vote.

Malthuss, you and I haven’t gotten along in the past. Lately, however, your comments have been good; keep it up. Just stay away from the negative Jewish comments and we’ll be ok (as if our on-line relationship is important).

California is pretty bad for 2nd amendment rights, but Massachusetts is just as bad, if not worse. As you know, there’s a great shortage of ammo in the country. One of the sales staff at my gun shop said that a lot of the shortage is because lots of gun owners have been hoarding ammo even though they already have enough – they are thinking rough, violent times are ahead.

I then went on-line to ammo sites to see if any was available. There is some availability, but the prices are outrageous. Anyway, looking over shipping instructions from ammo sellers, many won’t ship to Mass. (and Cali). I did research and found out the following re Mass.: it’s legal for suppliers to ship ammo to Massachusetts, according to MA gun laws. When suppliers call up county DA’s for clarification, they’re told it’s NOT
legal, and if they do ship, there will be legal consequences. That’s totally untrue, but it scares away a lot of suppliers who don’t want the hassle, even if they know it’s legal. I missed out on some good deals that way.

Because of anti- 2nd amendment bullshit, typical 9mm hollow point ammo is now selling for around $2 per single cartridge, or over $100 per box of 50. One seller even had the nerve to sell by the single cartridge, buy 4 cartridges for $20, or $5 apiece!

      • neurodoc October 10, 2020 at 1:37 pm #

beantown: I met a couple recently who moved to here in the southern midwest, from Mass. They tell horror stories about Mass laws that require home owners to leave their home in the event of a home invasion (rather than blowing away the savages entering one’s home like we do here). As in ‘run out your back door.’ Seems truly insane if true. They also told us that before they left, a nurse was attacked by a maniac with a knife and was being stabbed while hiding in a toilet stall: a man with ball went in and shot the maniac. Now the man with balls is fighting a homicide rap.

Sounds like really fucked up place, Mass. Also every doctor I’ve met from the Harvard med complex has been either soy or crazy. Just say’in.

It’s interesting how the Left insists on its own reality – in fact, layers of its own reality. The desperation must be mounting, as they keep reaching ever deeper into the false, far-right, “Trump is a seething racist” charge. If anything, President Trump is a Constitutional centrist or maybe even a little left of center (fiscally). You can tell he is a centrist because the Democrats have been forced to move to the extreme left in order to differentiate themselves.

Yet they find it impossible to bring substance to any of their far left positions. With the media’s active assistance, all they can do is ignore the blatant Marxism the party has devolved into and instead paint the President and his party as far-right racists – not because this is true in any way, but to bring balance to their ridiculously unacceptable far-leftism.

If the country somehow “elects” these fools, it will have been rigged, plain but not so simple. The Deep State can work with Communists, no problem, but simply cannot countenance Constitutional centrists.

    • Sredni Vashtar October 9, 2020 at 6:08 pm #

Communism is a project or “outreach” of Capitalism. Both are centralized, Globalist systems tending towards Oligarchy at the very least. Banking reached this stage before the rest of Capitalism, but the rest is mostly there as well now. Covid and the Riots are breaking down the independent middle class.

      • KappaJoe October 9, 2020 at 7:56 pm #

I don’t know that Capitalism is centralized, per se, though Communism certainly is – it’s Totalitarian.

You are correct about banking though, at least as it exists in the US since 1913. Central banking is the 5th plank of the ten tenets of Marxism: Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.

        • Sredni Vashtar October 9, 2020 at 9:00 pm #

Late stage Capitalism is what I meant. Early and mid stage support the Nation State. Late or Corporate does not. Not at all. It is Globalist just like Communism and just like Banking. All allies. But Banking is the senior partner. See pictures of Kushchev and Rockefeller in a lover’s embrace. Or read about the brunches Trotsky and Rothschild used to have.

Where did Communism get its money? Pitchforks and hammers wielded by peasant and worker hands get nowhere. Revolution costs a lot of money. The Bankers supplied it. Why? To break down the Aristocracies and their traditional economies. Get them into the game where they could be corrupted for fun and profit.

Interesting how Bernie has been left in the dust by his supporters:

      https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=L88VWoz5eA0

This event certainly didn’t show throngs of supporters and no cute little bird landing on his podium thrilling his followers and the media. Those days are gone since Bernie made his pack with the Devil Biden: “There will never be Medicare for All in my Administration! If the House and Senate passed it I would VETO it if it came to my desk!” Nice way to sell out all your supporters Bernie! Your signature issue 70% of the American people support DUMPED by you. For what?! So you can “go along to get along” with the corrupt Democrats and get some cushy lobbying job when you retire just because you refused to fight for your core economic positions? SAD with millions of former supporters who have now dumped you and who will either stay home or vote for Orange Man Bad.

For this event there were a few horns honking, his secret service detail and media photographers in the shot. Oh, and a woman with a giant Trump 2020 flag flying right in front of Sanders.

I was here bright and early, didn’t see a new post, and thought it was not up yet.
This time, it occurred to me to refresh the page and there it was, all along.

Don’t forget that Andrew Cuomo, heavily rumored to be the last minute replacement for Crazy Joe, as just now been exposed as being heavily involved in the same stuff and with the same people as Hunter, from a different angle. Had he jumped in for Joe when it was “too late” to investigate Joe, it would have been too late to investigate Andrew, as well.

Unfortunately Andrew’s plans had a crimp put in them, a little old thing like having a role in killing more New Yorkers than 9/11.
How many more? We don’t know. Andrew won’t say.

He did manage to say that it never happened, though, but nobody believes him.

Another problem for Andrew? All that campaigning he did Puerto Rico, in the wake of a hurricane, only to have President Trump snatch up the voters Andrew was counting on in Florida, to give him the win.
The governor of Puerto Rico has just now come out and endorsed PDJT.
It may look to some as if Donald Trump can’t stay focused on anything, but he is actually able to stay focused on a great many things, all at the same time.

    • thirdcoastlegend October 9, 2020 at 2:29 pm #

One of the Left’s blind spots on Trump is that they can’t stop equating his brusque, slightly buffoonish speaking style and personality with his intelligence level.

Contrary to the Left’s perception, Trump is quite intelligent, even though he does not speak in the dulcet tones of the Ivy League idiot class.

I’m not sure to what extent Trump actively recognizes this limitation in his opponents.

      • tresho October 9, 2020 at 4:18 pm #

Trump’s “style” is about the only way he could have made himself heard above the cacophony, misdirection, censorship and collusion of the media.

As today is what would have been John Lennon’s 80th birthday, I’d like to stray a little off the topic at hand and share an interesting musing by one of his kids:

Always wondered about the idea of ‘natural’ vs. ‘unnatural.’ It presumes an arcane concept of ‘man’ being created as somehow separate from nature. But if a bird’s nest is ‘natural’ and nature made humans, then surely anything humans make or do is a part of the ‘natural world.’

    https://twitter.com/seanonolennon/status/1312462135255986176?s=20

This man appears to be under a lot of pressure from people who want him on their “side”, politically.
    That’s how people are, now.

    Something wicked this way comes?
I was thinking of omens and potents, Wednesday when we experienced a very unusual rainstorm.
High winds, branches and whole trees down, heavy winds.
That isn’t unusual, what was, was the speed of the storm. It was here and gone faster than local meteorologists had ever seen a storm travel.

I was out in it, as I had to go retrieve my vehicle, which was in for the recall of the airbag which was installed because of a recall.

What did it all mean? Did it presage any perp walks on this Friday afternoon?

Mr. Kunstler’s points are spot on. Unfortunately, Biden will emerge victorious, and the GOP will lose its slim majority in the Senate. As Ted Cruz said, this could easily turn into a defeat of Watergate proportions.

Sad truth: The media has hypnotic control and influence over 55% of the electorate. And independents don’t have anywhere near the level of hatred for Biden that they had for Hillary in 2016. That will make a huge difference this time.

I don’t care if Trump is Frankenstein. He will achieve 3 justices on the Supreme Court. His economy was on a roll up until March. The election post-mortems will show Covid did him in. There is no escaping the fact that the grass roots in this country is Democratic, and they are motivated. Their mood is bad, and they’re sitting at home idle – watching CNN, MSNBC, etc. They’ve got him.

It was a great run, but it’s over.

      • tresho October 9, 2020 at 4:24 pm #

“I am hugely disappointed at how easily the Western world has succumbed to the media’s ongoing psychological warfare operations.” I’m not disappointed one bit. The ongoing brainwashing campaign of the worldwide disloyal opposition is an immense project. The Western world’s cult of the intellect is exquisitely sensitive to this brainwashing. I have read history since I was in first grade, and continue to be surprised that the human race has survived this far. My best guess is that the “better angels of our nature” live among us and play a real role in keeping the rest of us from self-destruction. We commoners don’t recognize them or their role because we lack the capability.

      • Sredni Vashtar October 9, 2020 at 6:15 pm #

A sane Nation wouldn’t have let its enemies (like Howard Zinn) educate their children. The Media, owned by the six families, should have been broken long ago via Anti-Trust legislation. Now it’s a matter of the Rico Act.

Our Cultural Revolution has been ongoing for generations. Ditto for the savage persecution of White Men via affirmative action. That is the real system racism in America.

    @ Stelmo and BRH:

See my post to Malthuss at 12:31 above. The ammo situation is ridiculous. When just last year I could buy a box of 9 mm hollow point ammo for around $25 more or less, it now costs around $100-$110 a box. I just purchased 200 rounds of Federal 115 gr ammo for around $37 a box. That includes shipping fees. I hated to have to pay that much, but luckily for me I can easily afford it. It’s just the principle of the thing. Go online to major ammo sites and they have none in stock; zero. I have to go to other sites at exorbitant prices.

I have to buy 38 special and 357 mag for my revolver. It’s even harder to find, and the prices are around $50 a box. Last year I paid $22 a box at my gun dealer’s store, and felt I was overpaying. I didn’t mind because they are nice guys and it was convenient to just go there and walk out with ammo.

Anyway, that’s my complaint of the day. I don’t want to harp on this, but it’s a fine example of how our country has gone to shit.

BTW, Marlin, you bought a piece of old reloading equipment. I’m curious to know if you’ve done anything with it yet.

    • stelmosfire October 9, 2020 at 1:22 pm #

BTB, your right about MA laws. Ammo shipping to MA is legal and I know a few suppliers who will ship. Most will not. You have to check the sites all the time. When stuff shows up it goes quick. I’ve been finding the cheap 9’s for about .60 a round. Total price gauging. In April I paid .20 a round at Cabela’s. I was at an old factory in Littleton, MA 3 weeks ago and the place is filled with FFL dealers. Guns were moving out of there like hotcakes. Check armslist. Your right about the hoarders. I should know!

      • beantownbill. October 9, 2020 at 2:17 pm #

I do check Armslist, besides many others. I don’t know about the sellers. Can I generally trust them, in your experience? My new go-to ammo suppliers are on gunbroker or brokers.com. Sometimes you can find deals there comparable to what you just paid.

        • stelmosfire October 9, 2020 at 3:31 pm #

BTB, I found my last shootin’ iron on armslist. It was at the mentioned gun factory in Littleton. The guy was stocked. No ammo though. I really don’t need any ammo but I don’t like to dig into reserves. Better than paper federal reserve notes.

          • beantownbill. October 9, 2020 at 9:32 pm #

Yeah, fiat money is soon going down the tubes. Better to have metals and other tangibles, especially for future trading.activities.

    • jmar98 October 9, 2020 at 3:04 pm #

Try Cheaperthandirt. They have most everything. They just shipped 400 rounds of 7.62 within three days.

      • beantownbill. October 9, 2020 at 9:28 pm #

They haven’t had any 38 specials or 357 mags, which is what I need more of. I don’t own a rifle because I live in a suburban area, and any
action I might see will probably be at close range. I don’t eat meat, so I don’t hunt. The varmints near me are two-legged. There are deer on my property, though; they like to feast on our arbor vitae. If I shoot any round outdoors- well, I live in Massachusetts and my neighbors would positively freak out. Instead I shoot at my local range. But thanks for your suggestion, anyway.

    • BackRowHeckler October 9, 2020 at 8:41 pm #

Nothing yet Bill. I’ve been trying to coordinate a bunch of Home Improvement projects, which is taking most of my time and energy. Just as an aside, I know the economy is supposed to be down and all that, but try to schedule an electrician, a plumber, a garage door installer, a floor refinished, a tile layer or a house painter. Its always maybe I can get to you in 4-5 weeks, and some of these guys are personal friends.

Bill, my son was in New Hampshire and he brought me back a brick of .22LR and a few boxes of .357 magnum. I’m not sure how much he paid, but he said ammo was plentiful. You might want to take a ride up there some day, scout around a little, see what you can come up with. Is NH close enough for a daytrip from where you’re at? Also, if you take that trip to the Berkshires let me know.

      Brh

      • beantownbill. October 9, 2020 at 9:18 pm #

Thanks Marlin. NH is close enough to me. I did scout around on-line for ammo in Southern NH and couldn’t find any.

I would go to the Berkshires, but my wife won’t and doesn’t want me to go. I had told her I would meet you guys for a drink, and she said, “You’re crazy, going into a bar during the pandemic. Rather than get into a fight with her, I decided not to go. I suppose if you brought some beer and we could sit outside, I would go. Sorry, but I’ve learned to pick my fights with my wife, and we get along fine.

FOREIGN AFFAIRS article from Mrs. Clinton due out in a few days will blueprint Biden’s geopolitical course. Money will come in part from reduced military spending, including decision not to upgrade 400 ICBM silo missiles, way past shelf life. Russia may be comfortable with the status quo but China is not and says as much continually.

An unwritten Tom Clancy novel on Chinese strategy to run the table includes Troposphere detonations bringing EMP, satellite destruction and starvation period, followed with massive paratroop airlift over North America in US built aircraft with Faraday Cage hardened electronics. Forstchen’s “ONE SECOND AFTER” is a primer.

Maybe this occurs after time allowed for Feds to outlaw and confiscate private firearms? Moment in the present time and topic: Daniel Chapter 5 verses 25 & 26 paints the picture for Mr. Trump, and says we all take our lumps as these proceedings run their course. Donald will be bigly sad…

Aside from the soon to be revealed (Durham) story about how Trump was mobbed, never has one man in history squandered so much opportunity to be among the most accomplished of US Presidents. Notwithstanding many noteworthy things as he may have done, yet his self-centered lack of imagination and inability to seize initiative & utilize the collective wisdom of his advisors has brought him down. Trillions used for maintaining a sick country might have been used for comprehensive rebuilding and preparation as outlined in Hillary’s FOREIGN AFFAIRS paper?

Instead, America and the western world is poised on a precipice. Let the clique responsible for undermining Trump through his 4 years recall & contemplate their role. Democrats’ punishment shall be meted out as they take center stage for the World and the history books to witness.

He did make quite a few changes. But there were also many career people in lower level jobs who were leaking information and supporting the McResistance.

Those people were also hiring other corrupt individuals. The culture of corruption was/is so widespread that some of our largest institutions participated in a soft coup on a sitting President. There is no precedent for this level of corruption.

A smooth transition of power by Obama, Hillary, the DNC and media poobahs etc. for Trump NEVER happened up until this moment and for the next three weeks and beyond!

Even if by some patriotic miracle the American people manage to love our country and our Constitution and choose Trump as a stick into the eyes of the corrupt DNC and Obama Administration, and Trump without any doubt wins his second term, the only thing left will be straight jackets and calming medications for all the TDS afflicted Americans who simply cannot handle the truth.

Maybe the last phase of TDS with a straight jacket will be for them to just calm down, read the Durham report when it comes out and to mumble, “buh, buh, buh, buh, buh” and to stare glassy-eyed at pictures of Hillary and Brennan and Obama and Rice and Comey until they snap back into the reality of the fact that those damn flyover states get it!

Elections have consequences and just like with 2016, voters really don’t like being bullshitted by anyone!

“…Mrs. Pelosi aims to announce her latest scheme for ousting Mr. Trump: perhaps a bill for some kind of new 25th Amendment commission to work around the inconvenience of the law… Is it possible that some Democratic Party voters begin to suspect that the party officials running this game have lost their minds?”
    .
To adapt a line from an old The Honeymooners episode… Democrats should plead the Twenty-first Amendment (which repealed the prohibition of alcohol). Democrats can claim they are drunk when do they do all these stupid things that they now do on a regular basis. (This also applies to the other side as well). Maybe Eliot Ness and The Untouchables were right all along smashing those bottles and crashing those breweries?

“Vice-president Mike Pence calmed the waters a little bit in his Wednesday meet-up with the Harris Administration candidate — no doubt the rogue housefly poised above his right ear fed him juicy debating points.”

From this we can assume that Trump/Pence will get most of the Fly Vote. The Fly was clearly signaling to Its Base. No doubt the R Party will be feverishly registering flies in the Red States and pouring a trail of honey and red meat from Fly living strongholds right into the local polling places. This will no doubt elicit more smirks and head shaking from Ms. Kamala as she prepares herself for endless smirking and head shaking behind Mr. Joe’s back when he’s not looking as she tries unsuccessfully to make sense of his gibberish if they are installed as the next leaders of the No Longer Free World.

Looks like the Day of the Tank is over. It joins the Aircraft Carrier in that big depot in that big VFW post in the sky. One is reminded of “Footfall” by Jerry Pournelle where the little Elephants invade Earth. Every time a Tank Column approached their beachhead in Kansas, the aliens would just rain down millions of little iron rods from orbit, tearing the tanks to shreds.

Finally the humans nuked Kansas, surprising the Elephants. They didn’t think they would do that to their own heartland just to get them. Are we going to have to nuke the Connecticut coast to save Connecticut?

Israel-Azerbaijan business partnership is much more important than all those small BS wars combined.

Last time Middle East Arabs sold oil to Israel was around ’79 before the Iranian Revolution.

Now Israel buys oil from Azerbaijan and sells them every kind of sophisticated weaponry almost all of which Azerbaijan re-sells at a huge mark-up.

Rich man’s war, poor man’s fight… and business as usual.

SV: Orcs can’t be bad anymore cuz that would mean that Blacks (whom they are equate with Orcs) are intrinsically bad.

    Bounding Into Comics

Wizards of the Coast has also replaced the Orc-specific ‘Menacing’ trait with a new “Primal Intuition” trait that will allow players to choose a “proficiency in two of the following skills of your choice: Animal Handling, Insight, Intimidation, Medicine, Nature, Perception, and Survival”.

The removal of negative racial modifiers is the latest decision made by Wizards of the Coast in order to make the game more palatable to mainstream audiences.

In June, Wizards of the Coast announced that “making D&D as welcoming and inclusive as possible has moved to the forefront of our priorities over the last six years” and detailed various changes they would be making to the tabletop RPG in order to achieve those goals.

The following July, the company moved to include ‘trigger warnings’ on their products as a means “to address a legacy of ethnic, racial, and gender prejudice in some old products.”

SV: No one can be bad anymore because of Blacks. We can’t even escape them in our fantasy worlds anymore. All races are equal. Elves are just as low as Kobolds and no more beautiful than Orcs. And vice versa. They would burn Tolkien at the pyre in the public square.

Why do they equate Orcs with Blacks, you ask? Do you really have ask? He who asks does not get to know. You already know – that is why you asking. So don’t ask, know instead.

Have you read “Marx’s Religion of Revolution” by Gary North? You probably kjnow North from his extensive writing at Mises.org and his own site.

You can get the book here:

      https://archive.org/details/MarxsReligionOfRevolutionGaryNorth

There is an interesting description in this book of the background to what is sometimes called the strategy of “Order out of Chaos” but which Lenin more prosaically referred to as “The worse, the better”.

This is the program of destabilization that has been implemented in the United States going back at least a century now in the United States.

      Startquote

Ancient man believed extensively that the universe developed out of chaos, and that chaos was accordingly the source of all creativity and power. Social regeneration required therefore the rebirth of chaos, and this the ancient festivals, of which Saturnalia is best known popularly, sought to provide ritually. During a stated period of time, the festival, all laws of order were deliberately subverted. Property and marriage, for example, were rendered null and void.

Lucian of Samosata, a second-century pagan writer, gives us an account of Saturnalia. For Lucian, the golden age preceded order; it was a time when “all men were good and all men were gold,” when “slavery was not.” The purpose of Saturnalia was to restore briefly that golden age through chaos and to revive contemporary society in its quest for the new golden age. . . .

We should not be surprised, therefore, that Marxists and other worshippers of chaos are committed to revolution even when the peaceful take-over of a country is possible. Revolution must then be created by mass liquidations and the destruction of all established law and order, including economic order.

The “economics” of socialism (and welfare states) do not make sense
because they are not intended to make sense: they are a defiance of the universe of God in the name of chaos. They invoke chaos as the highway to the golden age. If they fail, the guilt is not theirs. They blame the failure on residual areas and pockets of religion, law, and order, of property and national loyalty.

Their solution therefore is to increase the chaos. Since their universe is a universe of chaos, their golden age can only come through planned chaos. Hence, they deny the validity of the biblical God; they cannot accept a world of moral and economic law. Their golden age requires the triumph of man over religion, over morality, and over economics. The liberation of man requires the systematic violation and destruction of every law sphere.

      Endquote

      • Kim October 10, 2020 at 2:32 am #

One example of the chaotic attitude can be seen in the way that blacks and leftists burn down their cities and then demand that those same cities be rebuilt – perhaps rebuilt even better than ever.

This is a very primitive mindset. But for the moment, under conditions of relative civilization, it works for them. They destroy in complete confidence that the worker ant will soon enough come along and rebuild it all for them.

It reminds one also of cargo cults.

Where does wealth come from? Oh, it comes form the sky, from the gods.

        • gustafson.robert.22 October 10, 2020 at 8:41 am #

The purifying chaos we actually need is for the oil to run out (since we refuse or are unable to be moderate with it), other fossils run out, the several-thousand-year-old debt to ecological balance that intensive agriculture has run up to finally come due. Today’s leftist chaos wants and admits none of these core issues and are the least mature group out there at this moment.

        • Sredni Vashtar October 10, 2020 at 2:32 pm #

At least the Papuans worshiped us as gods. Apparently some still do, at least in a moderate form of parades where the American Flag is flown. Blacks are far too proud to ever say thank you, truly a benighted race.

The Masons also adopted that motto. Or where they the originators, “Society of Righteous Men” behind Marx? And of course one is reminded of the antinominalism of Jacob Frank and the Frankists. The Protocols state that the Gentiles would be driven out of their minds and finally beg for their lives.

The Jubilee of the Old Jews makes some sense though, but only in moderation. Some debts could be forgiven but land lost could not be given back to its original owners, since that would impoverish the new owners.

One tiny hiccup in BLM’s “thinking” would be that the magic insurance companies would step in and re-build all the looted and burned structures.

The only problem is that they will NOT cover the costs of the demolitions and hauling away of the structures prior to giving funds to re-build.

With the Covid lockdowns etc. most of these businesses were already under water and they don’t have $100k handy to pay for the demolition/haul away prep expenses. So, a total loss for them.

Which means the BLM looters should be held criminally on the line to make these various businesses whole.

BLM has millions in their Soros funded non-profits. They need to pay up.

No “reparations”’apply here, as BLM is foolishly claiming.

But God be with the law firms who try to help secure those funds! They will be cancelled and will lose their social contract bank credits etc.

The new normal? No thank you.

And while I am on a commenting roll I will also observe that it reminds me of the Five Basic Laws of Stupidity as outlined by Cipolla.

        http://harmful.cat-v.org/people/basic-laws-of-human-stupidity/

Cipolla defines a stupid person as follows:

“A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or to a group of persons while himself deriving no gain and even possibly incurring losses.”

Now, of course, as individuals, many blacks are clearly very, very stupid. You only have to look at news reports of their many stupid crimes where they hurt other people but get nothing for themselves, or even end up in flames.

Here is one example from yesterday. I could of course provide hundreds. The young black man, 19, has taken two young white lives for no good reason. He is done. He will get life without parole if he is lucky.

Now that is perfect stupidity according to Cipolla’s definition.

        https://www.news4jax.com/news/local/2020/10/06/st-johns-county-deputies-investigating-reported-shooting-in-st-augustine/

Of course, when you look at blacks and leftists burning down their own districts, you have to wonder if that is really stupid according to Cipolla. Do they benefit or not? Certainly bad behavior these last 60 years has won blacks lots of gibs, but at the same time aren’t most black lives dreary and pointless? I would not want to live the mindless, low and animalistic life that seems to be desired by so many blacks.

But it does appear to be the demonstrated preference of blacks, both as individualas and as a class, to arrange their lives around the dynamics of being paid off for bad behavior – a kind of Danegeld – rather than to have to work and save and be responsible.

Maybe it is the whites who are paying for it all that are – as a class – the stupid ones. Although I should point out that Cipolla’s analysis has four categories, Intelligent, Stupid, Criminal and Helpless, so maybe whites are currently in the “helpless” category.”

        • FreddieMars October 10, 2020 at 12:04 pm #

          Kim

Interesting, that definition of “stupid”! It’s particularly ironic to me, having been called “stupid” by you, over a word’s definition. Still, it’s been observed by the likes of Green Alba just how two-faced and arrogant you are.

You display great education and research in your posts, yet you fall into the same silly errors of many others suffering an almost narcissistic arrogance.

          For example:

Now, of course, as individuals, many blacks are clearly very, very stupid. You only have to look at news reports of their many stupid crimes where they hurt other people but get nothing for themselves, or even end up in flames.

You start with an opinion stated as fact, that smears one selected ‘race’ while ignoring the obvious truth that your statement applies to any ‘strain’ of human being, including your preferred “White” tribe. Still, even smart people can be racist, can’t they?

          • Sredni Vashtar October 10, 2020 at 2:37 pm #

Why the quotation marks? You think we don’t exist? Yet you have no problem finding us to discriminate against us, right? So you’re a racist too – even if White. Discriminating against one’s own people on the basis of race is the stupidest racism of all. Even Blacks aren’t that stupid.

As Jefferson said, Survival is the first morality. You obviously aren’t going to make the cut if you don’t believe BLM is dangerous. Liberals can’t see enemies. But when people try to warn them, the warners are then seen as enemies and all hatred is projected onto them instead of the real enemies. How dysfunctional is that?

          • Ivehadenough October 11, 2020 at 6:59 am #

Uh…..”opinion stated as fact”? Me thinks there are actually 5 categories; Intelligent, Stupid, Criminal, Helpless and Freddie Mars. Open your eyes and use your nose to smell the smoke emanating from our once proud cities over literally nothing. White police are murdering black men for nothing? You def got the book upside down.

Of course, historically but on a much smaller scale we saw this Saturnalia – the upending of society – acted out long ago by the Anabaptists at Munster, where pillage and rapine and ultimately also cannibalism became the order of the day.

Interestingly, the flag of the Munster Anabaptists was the Rainbow Flag. Is this a mere coincidence? That same flag was also flown in St Petersburg in 1917.

Accounts of the Munster rebellion can be found here and there. I do not know of any book-length account. Rothbard discusses it in some detail in one of his works. The stories will make the hair stand up on your head out of terror but at the same time are simply annoying in their childish perversity for the sake of perversity. Interestingly, however, many sites on the Internet play down its horrors and insanities, including the Wiki entry.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%BCnster_rebellion

Subsequent to the Munster rebellion being put down, Anabaptists were suppressed wherever they could be found and many went underground into those secret societies always so beloved of the left.

The defeat of the Peasants’ [Ed – a certain misnomer in Munster] Rebellion of 1525 had driven the surviving Anabaptist apostles underground, thus resulting in a further fragmentation of the movement.

All over the HRE, Anabaptists priests preached secretly in clandestine meetings to the believers, often hunted from city to city by the authorities. The Empire had identified the Anabaptists as the most dangerous sect, and thus pursued its adherents with utmost zeal.

The Imperial Diet of Speyer in 1529 had passed a law that had put Anabaptist teaching under severest punishment: [I]”…thereby declaring, that every Anabaptists and re-baptised person, men or women of mature age, should be transferred from natural life to death, and should be tried by fire, sword or similar means according to circumstances, without previous inquisition by ecclesiastical authorities.”

Anabaptism could not be stamped out entirely and one of its many and various subsidiary secret societies was the Rosicrucians.

The Rosicrucian philosophy is hard to understand as it testified to a belief in a Deity but at the same time placed the blame for everything that happened, for good or ill, on the Deity. So if I stole, – for example – then it was because the all-powerful Deity wanted me to steal. If he didn’t want me to steal, God could have stopped me, right? A very convenient philosophy.

Just how convenient a moral philosophy it was is illustrated in a very good book by Mike Dash called Batavia’s Graveyard which related the story of shipwreck of the merchant ship Batavia in the Indian Ocean in the year 1629 and the activities of one of its passenegres, a closet Roscrucian by the name of Jeronimus Cornelisz. I quote Wikipedia:

Jeronimus Cornelisz (c. 1598 – 2 October 1629) was a Dutch Frisian apothecary and Dutch East India Company merchant who sailed aboard the merchant ship Batavia. After the ship was wrecked on 4 June 1629, in the Houtman Abrolhos, a chain of coral islands off the west coast of Australia, Francisco Pelsaert, the expedition’s commander, went to get help from the Dutch settlements in Indonesia, returning several months later. While he was away Cornelisz led one of the bloodiest mutinies in history, for which he was eventually tried, convicted and hanged.

A very interesting story very well told by Mr Dash.

    https://www.amazon.com/Batavias-Graveyard-Heretic-Historys-Bloodiest/dp/0575070242

But anyway, that is the Left. Up to their elbows in blood, horrors, perversions and everything topsy turny and against every good human instinct. But at the same time, they insist that they are on a moral mission. Quite insane.

Jim lays out clearly the causes of this economic crisis (not withstading the catalysing effect of Covid) and its trajectory, correctly identifying oil/energy as what underpins our economy, and oil/energy depletion as the real issue.
    It’s a must listen.

After four years of non-stop Liberal propaganda presented 24/7 by the MSM, including Fox News during the last year, is it a wonder that a majority of the very stupid people of the US have been brainwashed by the onslaught. Think about what is happening! The majority of people of this country have been convinced that the group of miscreants in DC are smarter than they are and should make their decisions for them and run their lives.

Think about 1930s Germany. A party led by a little man in a mustache contested the German leadership. The main issue, income inequality in a lousy economy. He surrounded himself with other people who believed in the same action plan he did. Disrupt the populace with propaganda, Josef Goebbels, a genius, disrupt the public with the Brown and Black shirts, riots, violence, and above all find a group to blame to garner support.

Hitler = the head of this Progressive movement, whoever that is, global or local, not Biden or Harris, both soldiers

ya, you might be right John.

I envision more of Yugoslav/Syria city fighting scenario myself. That is, if the US devolves into an ugly civil war after this election. I don’t want that. I’m not some kind of violence cheerleader. Very opposite to that. The most vulnerable people lose in that scenario.

More likely is that the virus suddenly disappears off the MSM if Biden wins, and the US goes back to some version of pre-Covid.

The Establishment doesn’t wanna go down. The permanent DC bureaucracy & MIC won’t go quietly into the night. So, virus be damned, I think, if Biden wins.

You know that whole argument can be reversed and applied equally to Trumpism, don’t you?

As an as-yet undecided voter, I have trouble viewing either side as a good choice, but I’m beginning to have more trouble swallowing the perception that you (and many others here share) hold about the progressive/liberal side of the equation. Few individuals are as damnably evil as you would portray all liberals.

Likewise, Mr Trump and his administration has not, to my mind, delivered much as promised. Lately, this year in the main, it has turned to argument and turmoil, and away the “golden age” of liberation some round here would have me believe he was delivering.

All of the above comments +/- provide strong evidence that in the event of a Trump defeat, we will progress readily into a civil war. Red states like mine will not tolerate horizontal harris and a demented wonderer dealing out tyrannical exec orders or a blue house spewing out unconstitutional ‘laws.’ And the red states are very heavily armed; at a level most blue state people can’t even imagine. Militias are mobilizing quietly. Red state militias don’t run around spouting off bullshit like the morons in nfac, antifa, and blm, letting everyone know their plans and locations.

I just got back from a gun show this morning and MANY people were buying 50BMG semi auto rifles and ammunition for them, along with AK 12 gauge mag fed semi auto shotguns. Ammo was plentiful for all comers. And, people are very pissed off at ‘dc.’ It’s as if they sense, but won’t talk about, a pedo biden/ho-harris win.

          • Sredni Vashtar October 10, 2020 at 2:56 pm #

The Nazis fought the Antifa and defeated them, saving Germany from their madness. But they were then defeated by those behind the Antifa, the International Bankers and the Nations controlled by them, the so called Allies including the United States.

You have to try harder. The Facts trump your analogy.

No one needs to gaslight you. You do the job yourself. Here’s why:

Polls are often oversampled to achieve the desired outcome. Back when the Clinton polls were being oversampled, there were only a handful of fringe pollsters that got it right. The closest McMedia pollster was LATimes, but it was also a grabbled result.

Here’s an interview from The Hill TV, a medium that is generally agreed on, as far as I can tell, as being fair & reasonable.

The interviewee is a journalist in deep with GOP internal polling, where the oversampling argument is unlikely to apply:

          • Night Owl October 10, 2020 at 6:06 pm #

            “Unlikely to apply”

            LOL.

          • FreddieMars October 10, 2020 at 7:23 pm #

            Why is that amusing?

In-house polling is for the private consumption of campaigns. What’s the point in having false or misread information when working up strategy?

If pollster A can oversample for one party in order to skew the outcome of a public poll for the consumption of news media with an agenda, then another pollster, wanting ACCURATE information knows precisely how to get it. That’s all I’m saying.

BTW did you watch the clip or just decide to troll me?

          • Night Owl October 11, 2020 at 4:19 am #

What you are trying to claim is that polls presented to the public are accurate.

As so often, to deal with your trolling, we need only ask one question:

Where is your concrete evidence showing that polls are not stacked?

IMO, it may be time to place bets on how long this “polite” approach continues with your new handle. I’ve never understood what drives individuals to return after the ban?

          • FreddieMars October 11, 2020 at 4:46 am #

            No. Completely the reverse.

I agree with you that polls for public consumption may well be manipulated by those with an agenda.

What I referred you to was an interview with a journalist who was discussing the GOP INTERNAL polls, and asked why would they NOT be accurate. Try reading the posts again…slowly.

As to the rest of your comment, you’re a veritable master class in trolling.

            @Night Owl

Your article is five months out of date. But if Rasmussen is your trusted pollster, let’s take a look at their latest survey – dated October 7th.

            https://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2020/white_house_watch_oct07

            Yep, it’s Biden with a 12-point lead.

            Night Owl

Did you even read the article you linked to?

First, it spends a lot of time talking about recent poll results. So yes, all of this stuff is now 5 months out of date.

Second, it points out that sampling bias can affect the outcome of a poll. No shit, Sherlock.

It then suggests looking at Rasmussen or PredictIt for an alternative method. Rasmussen focuses on likely voters.

I’ve already embarrassed you by linking to the latest Rasmussen poll.

Do I have to embarrass you again by linking to PredictIt ?

    • PeteAtomic October 10, 2020 at 12:07 pm #

Biden is up in polls. That’s correct.

Are polls necessarily a good indicator of who is gonna win? not really.

If you wanna see a more accurate view, look at polling with the largest samples in the specific battleground states where the candidates need to win to gain the right number of electoral votes.

National polling may give a better indicator of popular support for one person or the other, but it doesn’t equate to how the system actually establishes a winner in a presidential election. We have the electoral college. So, if I were to conduct a poll of 3K adults in New York, California, and Illinois (as an example) it would show clearly that Biden would win. However, Biden would most likely win those states, anyway. They are all historically democrat controlled/leaning.

Then there is the margin of error in polling data. That factor makes many polls inaccurate.

So, yes– Kunstler is correct in pointing out that polling isn’t always a good prognosticator for election victories.

      • JohnAZ October 10, 2020 at 12:15 pm #

That is right, I hope, but 10+ percent ahead when the candidate has done absolutely nothing to earn it is daunting. Stupidity.

Look, I respect and like many of the posters here, but you guys, on both sides, are working yourselves up over nothing. If you have to get to 100 Main Street, does it matter which route you take to get there? The destination is the same.

Well, our 100 Main Street destination is overshoot. Who or how or what happens is secondary to the overshoot itself, which will be our ultimate fate.

If Biden wins the election, what will happen? Much of our freedoms go away. We will be broken financially. Our activities will be closely monitored by leftists.

What happens if Trump wins? We will be broken financially. Our activities will be closely monitored by the government. Much of our freedoms go away.

We still end up at 100 Main Street, even if we originally took a left turn or a right turn.

I’d rather have Trump, but if we end up with Biden (or Harris) we’ll still have the same result down the road. So why are you all arguing and ridiculing the other? Start talking about the real issues without the political bullshit.

I already know what I’m going to be doing on election night – either reading a good book or watching a movie. I’ll find out the results in the morning (which won’t be official). I’ll check out my ammo supply and carry if I go out. If Biden wins, I’ll grin and bear it; if it’s Trump, I’ll have a roasted, toasted almond drink in the evening.

    • neurodoc October 10, 2020 at 1:59 pm #

Many, if not most, red states will not tolerate a biden/harris win; they know that it means leftist/socialist tyranny, esp as regards 2A. And red staters, in the main, will NOT give up their guns. I think we’ll end up in a civil war, not mainstreet. Hopefully, I’m wrong. But, read my comment above about the gunshow I attended this morning. Those people are serious and have balls. Militias are prepping for CW2 and a call up. Colleagues around the other red states tell me the same thing in their locations. Things might still be ‘mainstreet’ as you say in the blue soy states, but not in the south, mid west, and mtn states.

      • beantownbill. October 10, 2020 at 5:56 pm #

I shouldn’t have used Main Street in my post. I didn’t mean Main Street’s symbolism, but as just a typical American street name. I should have used something like Maple Street. I was just trying to say we are going to end up in an overshoot situation no matter which party wins the election.

      • ohyesiam October 11, 2020 at 5:18 am #

They’ll get arrested and thrown in jail, like those goons in Michigan.

        • benr October 11, 2020 at 11:59 am #

Who is going to arrest them?
Most of the Sheriffs have already signaled they will resist gun seizures called buy backs.
California has already walked back the ban on large capacity magazines.
Middle America has woken up to the dangers of progressive dog whistles like gun bans that ship has sailed.
The Michigan people are in trouble for planning a kidnapping.

    • HapMan October 10, 2020 at 2:24 pm #

As the arrest of the 13 goons – sorry, militia members – plotting the attack on Michigan’s governor shows, we still have very capable and effective law enforcement in this country.

I also fear the prospect of political violence in the next few months. However, the CFN message board and gun show activity should not be mistaken for an accurate representation of public sentiment in this country. The people prepping for violence may get their wish for violence, but they are extremists who lack any sort of public support and should expect a jail cell if they break the law.

Hapman, I have been attempting to remember which natural disaster it was a couple of years ago – a hurricane, as I recall – when the military (or maybe the National Guard) went house-to-house and politely but firmly asked homeowners to give up any weapons they might be hanging onto.

I don’t think anyone is going to dispute the likelihood of the military strictly following orders, and there is no sign of any “young colonels” revolt in the Pentagon. We have witnessed how easily posse comitatus is ignored.

Won’t the Army, serving their corporate masters, just step in to “maintain order” which is to say keep the citizenry down, at least until the supply lines break up? Once FEMA and military base food stocks begin to diminish then all bets will clearly be off. I can’t see Deep State projecting power when their goons can’t feed their families.

You are equating Trump with the Left saying both are comparable to Germany’s rise. There is absolutely no comparison with Trump.

Who is Trump’s brown shirts and blackshirts? BLM and Antifa want nothing to do with Trump.

Who has Trump identified as a hate target? No one except the DC Deep State. He is anti- fascist!

He does not hire propaganda people, he handles the job himself.

You say you are new at the game of political decision making? Go ahead and vote for the Dems this fall, they will be glad to make your decisions for you, ie remove the voters choice via packing the court, opening the border, making education a propaganda machine, controlling the media, especially the social media. There will be no more conservative counter to the socialists, only more socialists.

It will be a very different America.

      Protestors?

“If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously. Just knock the hell out of them. I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise. There won’t be so much of them because the courts agree with us,”

      The media?

Been a long time. Getting back in here was harder than trying to steal gold from Ft Knox. What’s up with that shit?

All the bally hoo and hoopala about the upcoming election. Who really believes choosing senile Joe/Copmala Harris or the Orange Orangutan/religious nutjob Pence is going to make a difference or change the trajectory or outcome of the impending collapse?

With Bernie Sanders out, there went any last chance we may have had to have someone at the helm that would make sure we all had access to food, water, shelter, transportation, and maybe some access to medical care regardless of people’s ability to pay or when the dollars they have are worthless.

Is it me, or does the deep government/Pentagon types seem to be backing brain damaged Biden (like they did that vile pig Clinton in 2016) because they plan to use military intervention/violence to try ro save the empire and keep the party going? I am foreseeing a day soon when it will be considered treasonous if you have the audacity to question all this new McCarthyism/demonization of Russia. It is obvious to me that they view them as the greatest obstacle in maintaining hegemony over the world, the middle east in particular.

They seem to have it in for Trump because he doesn’t trust them, wanted to release documents related to the JFK coup by LBJ and the deep government, and doesn’t do as he is told like that rat bastard Obama (I actually voted for that sell out in 2008) and all the other clowns and puppets before him. Like Bitchlary Clinton would have, like senile Biden/Copmala Harris will do. I include that witch because Biden is clearly unfit for the job and so she will likely inherit the command.

Tempted to vote Trump like I did in 2016 (to pay that POS Clinton back and her corrupt cauldron of corporate whores and sell outs known as the DNC and/or the demonrat party). I think Biden will win. So the collapse advances in 2021, various resource wars will break out, more civil unrest and rioting, and no progressive measures taken to prevent us from getting skinned alive. Stash or liquidate your assets while you can, the creditor class and the government will steal from you until there is nothing left to steal.

” I then went on-line to ammo sites to see if any was available.

    — Beantownhill

As I have endeavored to explain before , albeit in other ways ,

It is NOT necessary to abolish the Second Amendment.

All you really have to do is convince people to swallow the logic that the right to self – defense really shouldn’t apply to everyone.

” Everyone ” meaning , of course , the peasants.

    Except , of course , they won’t use the term , ” peasant ” .

” Common sense gun laws ” used to be phrased , for example , as , ” keeping arms out of the hands of the peasants ” , but they wouldn’t phrase it that way now , either. *

( * That was before the first Matchlock had even been invented . The issue isn’t guns , specifically , and never was. )

Once a groundswell of folks have bought into that logic ,

then you make a ” common sense ” exception here , and an exception there , and an exception over there ,

fill out this form , and fill out that form , we need your bank records , and give us a fucking stool sample while you are at it ,

and pretty soon you have abolished the Second Amendment as a fair equivalence in fact , though not in name.

Pretty soon the only people in possession of arms are the sort who can afford security details.

In other words , the aristocracy you supposedly don’t have , in the dictatorship you supposedly don’t live in.

And , in point of fact , the Second Amendment was never actually abolished.

And the really fun part about this is that you arrived at this point , not courtesy of gun control advocates , who actually at least used to be a joke lobby ,

no , you arrived at this point courtesy of presumed gun rights advocates.

Convicted Felons can’t possess arms ( i.e. have no self – defense right ) ?

I might agree that might make sense if ” convicted Felon ” meant only murderers and rapists and bank robbers.

But that isn’t the case , and ceased to be the case a long time ago.

One can with confidence say that 99.9% of those in prison are not only guilty as Hell, but are the very worst of the worst .

    — But that is because if we were today to incarcerate every felon , and insisted on processing them into incarceration the old – fashioned way , the line would stretch around the block , and on out of town.

    — Because the list of felonies now stretches around the block , and on out of town.

( I really wish some of you concerned citizens would read the odd discarded book of maritime or fisheries law . ( Any book on any type of law should serve the purpose. ) You might get a fucking clue.

    But maybe not. )

With that one exception or innovation you have already gone a long way toward undermining the concept of a right — not a dispensed privilege — to self – defense.

    I said , ” undermining the CONCEPT ” .

    Ideas have consequences ,

consequences which will apply to ALL the peasants.

Then we have , for example , ” red flag laws ” .

It seems reasonable and sensible to keep arms out of the hands of crazy people ?

    Give me a fucking break.

A mere casual perusal of a site like CFN , for example , should clue you in that the term , ” Crazy ” is so elastic it stretches from the moon and back.

So , with this one term , you have already as good as disarmed at least two – thirds of the population , even though you haven’t actually gotten around to confiscating the Lewis guns , the snaphaunces , the tasers , and the Boy Scout pocket knives.

The gun rights advocates slit their own throats , and all for the sake of they didn’t particularly like their mildly annoying neighbor.

The good news is that , just as Prohibition was a god send to Al Capone ,

and the war on drugs was a godsend to Pablo Escobar ,

so gun control is a god send to people with evil motives.

    That’s good news ??

Yes , I think the Chinese philosopher Lao – Tze was absolutely correct when he said that , when trying to hold sand in your hand , the more you tighten your grip , the less control you have.

You folks going broke and losing power MAY NOT lead to paradise.

But , unfortunately , as a CERTAINTY , as long as you folks can afford to indulge your every whim and fancy , can afford to piss away fortunes micro – managing the affairs of the least peasant , things will only get worse.

      — The part about Boy Scout pocket knives was not a joke , or hyperbole.

When I came to this country , every second boy carried a pocket knife as a matter of course.

( but then , for that matter , so did every second boy in the FDJ back in East Germany , too. )

But , no exaggeration , today carrying a pocket knife to elementary school is ( the elementary school equivalent of ) a felony.

” A mere casual perusal of a site like CFN , for example , should clue you in that the term , ” Crazy ” is so elastic it stretches from the moon and back. ”

That is , I haven’t kept tabs or anything , but I would confidently guess that about 90% of CFN regulars have at one time or another been called crazy.

The Nazis have been called crazy.

The Leftists have been called crazy.

The Republicans have been called crazy.

The Democrats have been called crazy.

    Men have been called crazy.

    Women have been called crazy.

The religious have been called crazy.

And it seems to be my peculiar and singular fetish or eccentricity not to claim that atheists are crazy.

I should think that would tell you something about the supposed reasonableness and legitimacy of pop psychology , and red flag laws…..

but , alas , apparently no.

    • Kim October 10, 2020 at 9:47 pm #

Atheism is a funny state of mind, though. It is an assertion that one doesn’t believe in a god, which is fine as far as it goes, but that doesn’t really cover much territory, philosophically speaking because it still says nothing about the really big puzzle life, consciousness.

We wake up in the morning and there it is. Consciousness. We note that the the cat is staring. He is experiencing consciousness. Even a lizard is experiencing consciousness.

If I die, does consciousness disappear? I do not believe so. Grandma dies, she is no longer conscious we assume, but my consciousness continues.

If all humans died, the consciousness of animals would survive.

If all animals died, the world would survive, but would there be a consciousness of the world?

Does consciousness create the world or does the world create consciousness?

What is this thing we call consciousness? How did it arise? It cannot have arisen from the material world. Man has never been able to create life in a laboratory. Notwithstanding the claims that life must have arisen in some chemical soup, it has never been seen for life to have arisen from non-life. And it seems that consciousness is superordinate even to life.

Clearly, consciousness is something that the physical-spatial sciences will never be able to explain. A cat cannot understand the mind of a man. His consciousness is too extensive. Similarly, man will never understand the consciousness that unites all of the conscious world.

This is an issue that is more substantive than the idea of god. But the question arises whether consciousness is intentional or directional in any way and, if so, what intention or process it is that is being worked out. That is a kind of godlike perspective.

It could be that consciousness is not constrained by issues of time, intention and direction, unlike everything else.

In sum, these kinds of musings are useful for researchers in the sciences but aren’t so useful day-to-day. Still, it does the spirit some good occasionally to stop and reflect upon – instead of always ignoring – the wonder of consciousness.

      • beantownbill. October 10, 2020 at 10:58 pm #

I reflect on consciousness every single day. It is the ultimate deepest puzzle.

      • KesaAnna October 11, 2020 at 3:07 am #

I’m rather a fan of , or at least fancy that I am a fan of ,

” Keep it simple stupid. ”

        Like ;

” It could be that consciousness is not constrained by issues of time …. ”

there is the matter of how time might work in an afterlife.

There are at least some physicists who speculate that our experience of time as linear , like a river , running from the past into the future , is not universal . That is , the perception of time as linear may be a kind of mis – perception , or time may work differently somewhere else.

That is , time may actually be , or may work somewhere else , to put it in simple terms , like a still lake , and the past , present , and future are all the same time.

Believe it or not , I cooked up that theory independently , it came as a gratifying surprise to learn , after the fact , that some physicists have entertained the same idea.

Though I’m still not sure what purpose such a theory serves in their agenda?

In my case , I arrived at the theory of time as non – linear in reflecting on questions like , ” If an afterlife exists , why don’t we get phone calls from dead loved ones ? ”

Well , if time is non – linear in the afterlife , if a hundred years is scarcely distinguishable from three minutes , for example ,

then for a dead loved one to be calling the living might be a bit like a wife going to the bathroom , and while she is at it , phoning her husband , who is a mere two rooms away , to inform him that she will be on her way back to the kitchen in 125 seconds.

A bit supercilious. Why even go to the trouble ?

An interesting and entertaining reflection perhaps.

But , without the afterlife part …..

Well , I really don’t know of a polite way to say it , but I don’t believe for one second that without the afterlife part there is even one grain of sands – worth of spiritual improvement in such a reflection.

You might as well go ahead and watch the football game , or surf porn. It would serve just as well.

That great theologian Samuel Johnson ( yes , I’m aware he wasn’t actually a theologian ) was right ,

” Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel ”

or , as Night Owl said the other day , paraphrasing ,

” not uncommonly the do – gooder pose proves only to be a mask for a latent fascist. ”

Or , to put it in my own terms ,

Always beware anyone who argues selflessness too pointedly.

Not least because if they even remotely came close to practicing what they preach , they wouldn’t be breathing .

Much less would they be paying an internet access bill.

It’s a good bet that internet access bills aren’t paid with selflessness.

” It could be that consciousness is not constrained by issues of … intention and direction, ”

No need for possibly entertaining speculations on that point . It is a readily observable condition of life and state of mind that has been roughly the norm for a hundred years now.

In the TV show some guy kills another person for fun or profit , some Sherlock Holmes rip – off catches the killer , and justice is served. Hooray !

        — Except , it isn’t .

The killer is not the slightest bit remorseful .

The Sherlock Holmes rip – off might get a promotion and a raise ?

Because the killer got locked up in the can , other people might be spared the grim fate of being murdered for fun and profit.

( A grim fate that is , if there is no good god — i.e. a consciousness that does have intention and direction , A grim fate that is if there is no afterlife — i.e. again , a consciousness that does have intention and direction. )

But what about the person who was murdered ?

You know , the object and subject of the very supposed crime , and what set in motion this whole exercise in the first place ?

For THAT person ……. nothing at all.

” Justice ” is not going to bring that person back to life , and if there is no afterlife , then presumably that person isn’t even going to know whether justice was served or not.

Indeed , that person isn’t even going to know they were murdered.

Does a nail know or care that it has been hammered ?

But obviously you are very much expected or desired not to reflect on any of that.

” Justice ” is served because barbecues and ball games continue for those who weren’t murdered anyway.

And , obviously , you are very much expected or desired not to reflect on any of that , either.

It sure looks to me , all and all , like an atheistic scheme of things.

And it seems to me that one need not dive too deeply into the spirit of conspiracy theory to conclude that such a basically atheistic premise – without – a – point is exactly what the contemporary state , whether that state is the German Democratic Republic , or the United States of America , wants.

” This is an issue that is more substantive than the idea of god. ”

The idea of god would be trivial —

        — if , as atheistic control – freak statists suppose , the salient point of religion is faith.

The salient point isn’t faith , any more than the existence of the sun and the moon , or 2 + 2 = 4 is significant because of a feeling I get in my big toe.

The salient point and significance is authority .

An authority which , like the family , is 50,000 years old ,

a rival to the authority whose great claim to fame is the making of license plates and blowing shit up.

As I said at first , you would perhaps do well to keep it simple.

Assuming your motive is clarity ?

        • Sredni Vashtar October 11, 2020 at 3:17 am #

Traditional Catholicism does not agree with Johnson that Patriotism is despicable. Rather it is considered admirable and in accordance with Natural Law.

George III ‘s hiring of troops from Hesse Cassel , Hesse Darmstadt , Hesse Hanau , Brunswick , Anhalt – Dessau , and I might have forgotten one , to fight in the American rebellion was not in any way exceptional.

It was common practice at the time.

Indeed , had been for centuries.

The French Foreign Legion is the surviving remnant of what once was several regiments of Irish , Scottish , Swiss , German , and again I might be forgetting one , regiments in the French Army. Indeed , enough foreign troops typically to make up a whole division in itself.

The Armies of the Holy Roman Empire , and especially when united l under the crown of Spain ,

makes NATO look like an exclusive , conformist , club.

Then , finally , there is the still extant Papal Swiss Guard , and while it is apparently illegal for Swiss citizens to hire out as mercenaries anymore ,

            somehow ,

            never the less ,

            never mind. * Wink *

Then there’s the question of why the Papacy needs formal , temporal , sovereignty anyway ??

” Traditional ” as in what was true before last week , round abouts ?

Well , it’s 3 AM and nobody is paying me a teachers salary.

So it will have to suffice to say that I am well aware that a great many Catholics seem to be interested in grossly simplifying concepts and completely re – writing that history that pre – dates the advent of Nazism , Communism , and the advent of cheap coal and petroleum.

          • KesaAnna October 11, 2020 at 4:12 am #

I might add too that membership in the Masons or in the NSDAP is supposed to be primae faci grounds for excommunication.

            But they never do.

            And a good thing too.

If the Church actually enforced any zero tolerance policies ( Zero brains policies I would call them ) then the entire membership of the Church would consist entirely of those martinet bitches who in all seriousness really believe their own shit smells sweeter than the ordinary kind.

But , if you really are Catholic , then you know as well as I that it is getting to that point now.

          • Sredni Vashtar October 11, 2020 at 1:38 pm #

Yes, bravo. Catholicism can only exist by not following its own teaching too closely. They were made for would be saints after all. And saints as Christianity currently defines them, could not make their way in this world.

There’s still no excuse for letting pedophiles (so called) run seminaries. And Patriotism is noble for ordinary men, if not saints in training. Onward Christian soldiers is the right tack to take. Trying to get regular guys into bridal mysticism is very much the wrong tack to take. Let the Holy Spirit list as it will. It will do so mostly among those who have already largely renounced the world. If It wants to raise up some warrior saints or political reformer saints, or royal saints, well that would be very good too.

Well, there is more wisdom in Dago proverbs than in the combined output of our Ivy League Institutions of Higher Learning.

Recently I saw a funny bumper sticker:

MY GUNS ARE NOT ILLEGAL,THEY ARE JUST “UNDOCUMENTED”

Instead of displaying one’s smart-a$$ness to the world thru this BS sticker why not just read the law ???

Individuals in this Country have been making their own guns for centuries. The practice is deeply rooted in our Constitutional History and Tradition.

Nothing in the Gun Control Law of 1968 prohibits individuals from making guns for their own personal use. A non-licensed person may make a firearm, provided it is not for sale and the maker is not otherwise prohibited from possessing firearms (such as a convicted felon).

Federal law imposes none of the purchase restrictions on non-licensed possessors that it does on those who need licenses, and as a result, homemade guns need not be registered and the owner need not undergo a background check.

If you make your own gun for personal use (actually only the receiver) you dont even need a serial number on it.

Grr , maybe the problem isn’t Antifa , Islamic Terrorists , Nazis , or child molesters.

Maybe the problem is that ” The Greatest Generation ” didn’t teach their Baby – Boomer darlings reading comprehension ?

      This :

      ” … provided … ”

      And this :

” and the maker is not otherwise prohibited ….”

      COMPLETELY UNDERCUTS that part about ;

      ” Nothing in… ”

      Nothing is nothing.

      Nothing is not a something.

      Nothing is not a , ” provided … ” or a , ” … otherwise prohibited. ”

But then the guy , I can’t remember who it was , who said that by no stretch of the imagination are you any kind of traditionalist , conservative , or moderate , was right on the money.

Trump continued, “But I beat him in the first debate. At the second debate, we had a never-Trumper as a host, but that’s OK because I beat [Biden] in the second debate also.”

Here is a weird one. Try to disentable this.

Shooting in Denver. Big League Politics headlines it like this:

    https://bigleaguepolitics.com/patriot-prayer-demonstrator-shot-and-killed-by-antifa-militant-in-denver-colorado/

Patriot Prayer Demonstrator Shot and Killed by ANTIFA Militant in Denver, Colorado

    Townhall headlines it like this:

    https://townhall.com/tipsheet/bronsonstocking/2020/10/10/antifa-kills-another-trump-supporter-n2577831

Another Trump Supporter Shot and Killed by Antifa Man

CBS News headlines it like this:

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/one-dead-in-shooting-at-dueling-denver-protests/

One dead in shooting at dueling Denver protests

The text of the CBS report asserts some interesting factoids, such as that the arrested fellows are white! LOL, is it now the outlet policy to emphasize that?. That is straightforward enough, but some of the “facts” raise more questions than they answer.

One person was shot and killed Saturday during dueling protests in Denver, Colorado, police said. Two people, including one suspect, have been taken into custody.

The shooting occurred near the Denver Art Museum as two opposing groups were holding rallies in the area. Denver police said the suspect is “a private security guard with no affiliation with Antifa.” Police said both people taken into custody are white males.

NBC affiliate 9news reports that the suspect being detained by police is a private security guard hired by the station. The station also reports the second person taken into custody was a 9news producer who has since been released.

So the shooter was a security guard hired by the TV station? Was he a agent provocateur who got off his leash? These people – patsies and stooges – are very often mentally unstable.

And the stooge’s minder – the on-site producer – he got hauled in too? How did that happen? Funny.

And it wasn’t Antifa, the police are supposed to have said?
How would the police know that? And isn’t Antifa just an idea? Now I am really confused.

Anyway, I fully expect that this event will now be boradcast by the MSM as prominent national news with lots of follow-up reporting and panels of (black and female) talking heads editorializing/moralizing and with associated extensive peaceful protesting for the next two weeks at least.

    Say his name!

Uh, what was his name again?

    • Kim October 11, 2020 at 12:32 am #

I just watched some video. The angle doesn’t tell the full story – half of the action is off-camera – but it looks like a good shooting.

An idiot with mace seems to have sprayed it at the “security guard” (off camera, do not know if he was already gun-in-hand) from an unlikely distance. No sooner does the spray appear than the shot rings out, center mass.

Was this a good shooting? I don’t know if this is a stand your ground state, but if you are armed with a firearm and someone unprovoked sprays you with mace and you reasonably feel your life is in danger (e.g., your gun may be seized and used against you) then my view is fuck the mace sprayer.

It this it may be similar to the Ahmaud Arbery situation.

We shall see if better video emerges.

I have to say, a lot of these people at these meetings, on both sides, don’t look like they are 100 cents on the dollar.

My Spidey sense for truth went off as soon as I saw pics of the shooter.

The putrid disgusting vile stench of rotting flesh and bovine excrement (BS) have seeped into every pore, every molecule of that horrid place. It is the epicenter for global corruption, deception, manipulation, and brazen treachery.

In another time and place, these people really would be lined up against a wall and, no, not shot, but draw and quartered, the horses lined up to gallop away with the intestines of these heinous criminals tied to their saddles, as the blood and guts of these traitors exploded forth from their bellies much the same as the MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of (50+ million at this count) of aborted people these past 50 years have been brutally vivisected like frogs on a pinboard.

Once you really get a good hard look at the reality of this god forsaken culture, country, and world, the reality of sodom and gomorrah comes clearly into focus.

Enjoy the rest of the show. I’m just not sure how everyone is going to “feel” about the ENDING.

There is nothing cruel or unusual about hangings (by the quick and merciful trapdoor method) in the public square. Young community members need to see such things in order to have even the slightest hope of rectifying themselves. Some Whites as well of course.

Does the victim even have time to feel pain? It is right up there with the guillotine but without the blood and leftist connotations.

Private or semi-private executions? Why waste a death like this? Why not make his miserable ending a profit to all and help him pay back some of the damage he has done to society? In terms of his own karma, public execution is salutary, what he has earned. As Prabhupad said, much negative karma is thus expiated. It is far, far more merciful than allowing him to wait to expiate for his crimes after death.

    Barnhardt:

    Let’s go out to eat, 2020 style…

    1. Arrive at restaurant, take mask off mirror (or out of glove compartment) where it hangs or lays every day when not in use.

    2. Slip it on, trying not to ruin the hair do.

    *MAGICAL ANTI-GERM BARRIER ENGAGE!!!*

    3. Proceed into restaurant, opening door with same handle grabbed by 200 people so far today.

    4. Hostess who touches her face and mask an average of three times per minute has immediate seating for your woke party of three. Walk past entire restaurant of unmasked people. It’s ok, they’re sitting.

    5. Sit down.

    *SEATED ANTI-GERM FORCE FIELD ENGAGE!!!*

    6. Safely within your anti-germ force field, remove mask. Browse menu while making relaxed inhales of the same recirculated AC air previously inside the lungs of the 200 people that also grabbed the door handle.

    7. Waitress, who touches her face and mask an average of three times per minute drops off drinks bare handed, which she touches her face and mask with three times per minute, on average.

    8. Grab drink with your bare hand. Sip leisurely, secure in knowing you’re within your anti-germ force field of “seated-ness”.

    9. Too many drinks. Need to pee. Don the magical anti-germ barrier mask as you leave your anti-germ force field of “seated-ness”.

    10. Walk past 40 unmasked restaurant patrons. Open bathroom with same doorknob grabbed by 100 other people so far today.

    11. Return to table past same 40 unmasked restaurant patrons.

    12. Remove mask. Once again safe in your anti-germ force field of “seated-ness”. Waitress takes your sweaty drink glass with her bare hand which she touches her face and mask with an average of three times per minute, refills, hands back to you. You accept with your bare hand. Grab some bread and eat it. Same hand. Yum Yum.

    13. Meal complete. Mask on. Walk past 40 unmasked patrons. Make full body contact with at least 4 people waiting at the hostess stand as you squeeze your way back to the door – no matter, they’re all also wearing their magical anti-germ barriers.

    14. Grab exit handle, which you are now the 220th person of the day to touch. Eating out successful.

    15. Breathe a sigh of relief knowing that even after leaving the protection of your home and venturing out into the scary world of the public, you are essentially sterile thanks to your state approved methods of magical germ mitigation, THE MASK!

SV: Governor Newsome of California advises diners to wear the mask between bites. Oh what joy! One is reminded of safe sex via dental dams as per publications put out during the AIDS epidemic, real or imagined.

Aliens may be next. Was reading about the Annunaki right on the main Yahoo page the other day. You used to have to search the remote parts of the Internet for that kind of thing. Or as Donovan said, Electrical Banana is bound to be the very next craze.

Indeed. The amount of anti-science being paraded around as science in the context of the Coroneau is truly beyond parody.

Nearly everything one reads on the subject these days could be taken from the pages of The Onion.

Yesterday, I saw a piece on how parents should not only wear masks when distributing candy on Halloween, but that they should also use a 6-foot cardboard tube for distributing the corporate Zuckergift to kids.

The idea that the candy was already handled and is most certainly teeming wif da COVIDs (!) is never even broached.

    • KappaJoe October 11, 2020 at 5:13 pm #

That’s a pretty thorough accounting of the inanity of it all. The world is demonstrably in the hands of fools.

I think partially opening restaurants is simply a meatless bone tossed to whatever’s left of the sit-down industry. They psychopathic autocrats don’t want them open at all, at least until November 3, and therefore make the entire experience as pointless, dissonant, and distasteful as possible.

Additionally, cloth masks allow air to pass through, and when held to a light source clearly show thousands of holes. Yet, viruses are invisible to the naked eye or even a standard microscope. In fact, one layer of 100,000,000 viruses will fit on the head of a pin!

Therefore, the masks do essentially nothing, unless one is continuously coughing or spits whenever they talk. Even then, every other airborne virus will enter through the mask or escape through respiration, and that speaks nothing to an ill-fitted mask, plus the air entering and exiting around the edges of the covering, plus the accumulation of debris on the mask, plus the real threat of hypoxia, especially among the respirationally challenged, elderly, and children.

And of course, viruses also enter the body through the eyes and the ears. So, next up will be the “hear no virus, see no virus, speak no virus” protection scheme in order to be perfectly safe. That means, once production has been stocked up enough, everyone will be required to wear helmets with a portable oxygen supply (like in a virus lab, for example). At that point, me might as well devolve back to the ocean.

At least helmets would make medical sense, but is of course total overkill for a non-disease that has left the nation with a national death-from-all-causes rate that is the same or lower as the rate of the past five years.

” One is reminded of safe sex via dental dams as per publications put out during the AIDS epidemic, real or imagined. ”

Funny you should mention that , because , for me , it’s all merely deja vu.

    The way I remember it , 30 years ago , the narrative was ;

    OH NO !

WE ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY MUST DO SOMETHING ABOUT AIDS!!!

EVERYBODY IS GOING TO DIE OF AIDS !!!

30 years later , AIDS is still the gay male and intravenous drug user disease.

Even prostitutes , who may worry about several things , don’t worry about AIDS ( or get it either )

unless they are of the kind who stand on street corners at 2 AM to score their next fix and consequently are willing to do things for all of 50 dollars that make anal seem , in comparison , wholesome.

And the really fun or interesting part is that likewise 30 years later we are still pretending the reality is otherwise.

At least I’m not going to sit here an pretend this is a new development.

This was old hat at least two decades before I ever heard the name Covid.

  58. jtkong October 11, 2020 at 10:22 am #

Excuse me Mr. Kunstler, don’t mean to bother you, but couldn’t help noticing that while you were penning another entertaining partisan critique, reality just keeps happening.

While I’m sure in some alternate reality there is a real election going on where the winner matters, that place ain’t here. Appeal to Potemkin politicians pretending to steward the remnants of democracy into a greater America, won’t save us from our descent into the medical-techno nightmare of the 4th industrial revolution. We the herd are being loaded onto the Covid 19 Express. Next stop – the Gates of the final solution. The doors are closing on constitutional liberty, as the canaries among us cry out their mortal warning. In a history that will never be written, it would have been said – it was our mass somnambulism that killed us, long before the injections of mutagenic poison reached our veins.

    • SoftStarLight October 11, 2020 at 12:07 pm #

This seems really pessimistic. There are a lot of bad things in the world but eventually it seems like good and light win. Like when a hurricane passes and the sun comes out and the birds sing again.

      • jtkong October 12, 2020 at 6:59 am #

Yes SoftStar it is pessimistic. But sometimes pessimism is realism and the necessary ideation to bring the world back into balance, so that good and light can return. Others in the past have made sacrifices (beyond just being uncomfortable) for the ideal you evoke. Now we are called upon to do the same.

We face a threat unparalleled in the history of human imagination. More perverse (by orders of magnitude) than what occurred in Germany or the occupied territories from 1939 -45. Do you remember? What would have been the proper attitude as you watched the smoke billowing out of the furnaces of the death camps? Follow the roots of the people now “in charge“ and you will know who and what we now stand opposite.

We are on the eve of a monstrous rollout of an experimental and mutagenic biologic. It has been designed to deleteriously and inexorably alter the human genome. Go to sites such as ID 2020 or the WEF’s 4th industrial revolution. There you can see in all its hideous glory, the intention of the medical-techno fascists for We the Herd. It has nothing to do with birds singing and everything to do with a boot stomping on a human face forever. We need to wake up, put on our big boy and girl pants and address this threat head on. Ultimately we will defeat this evil among us, but not without a spiritual struggle of epic proportions.

Not a Black in sight, yet did not the Blacks play a large role in creating this? Why did we abandon the Dionysian so completely, labeling it Satanic, only to then have an alien, hostile people teach us how to be natural again?

But yes, good stuff. But still too measured and orderly. The Revolution intended to take us into the “privacy” of our own bodies with the 60’s dancing without touching. This too is “natural” but in a lower sense. As is transexualism – are not Earthworms ambisexual? They’re taking us down all the way to the Amoeba. Having a skeleton is so limiting….

We must allow the Euro-Pagan Renaissance. Only it can healthily balance Christianity in our psyches.

Your desire for light entertainment is so American – and part of the reason we fell. Why did we need so much light entertainment? Because the lifestyle we created was so unpleasant and hateful. Caught between these extremes, we vacillated, spinning, “Eyeless in Gaza, at the mill with the slaves” as we slowly lost our country.

You served for decades in a war zone in California. Now you don’t want to see anybody. Understandable. One of the few good environmentalists, Ed Abbey, was an MP in Italy after WW2. A few years was enough for him. Italians are worse than Northern Europeans but much better than non-Whites. Your tour of duty was longer and harder than his. You did it so we wouldn’t have to. But we savaged ourselves without having to. That’s my point.

White women make everything about themselves? Gay Pride Month is longer than Black Pride month? A Fool can tell the Truth because He is a fool. Or lie for the same reason.

Why not have a monologue about how BLM is violent and stupid and have proven the Klan right? Just a joke, right? Meanwhile the Trump Campaign boasts about freeing Black criminals and excoriates Biden for being a racist. Some Fool is in charge of his campaign. Think the Base wants to hear crap like this? They want to hear about how Trump is stopping legal immigration and giving Whites their rights back.

      1. All women make everything about themselves

      2. Bill Burr is feeble and lame. A weak white man being drained of life before our eyes by a parasitic black woman.

It is not entertaining. It is more like a kind of sadistic, public guignol.

Ever since he married the Queen of Sheba Burr has become more and more a shadow of one of those old trad cocktail lounge comics doing a henpecked husband routine modernized as my-wife-nags-me-but-I-am-just-a-dumb-man-who-watches-black-sports. Vomitous.

It is pitiful what Bill Burr has become.

    Anglin

The cruise ship industry is the first industry we are admitting has been completely wiped out by the coronavirus hoax.

    ABC News Australia:

Cruise ships are being dismantled and sold as scrap metal due to the coronavirus pandemic all but destroying the global cruise industry.

Earlier this month, aerial footage shot by drones showed workers stripping walls, windows, floors and railings from several vessels docked in Aliaga, a town 45 kilometres north of Izmir on Turkey’s west coast.

Three more ships are set to join five already being dismantled.

Chairman of a ship recycling industrialists’ association, Kamil Onal, said before the pandemic Turkey’s ship-breaking yards typically handled cargo and container ships.

“But after the pandemic, cruise ships changed course towards Aliaga in a very significant way,” he said.

I am not a fan of the cruise ship industry, and in fact find it to be utterly decadent, depraved and sick. As I age, more and more I’m coming to terms with the reality that you simply cannot give peasants a bunch of money and tell them to do whatever they want with it.

If you’re going to raise up peasants, you have to do it over a period of generations. You have to make them work for it. You cannot do what was done with the boomers, and just say, “okay, you’re all rich now.”

That’s how you get Van Halen.

It’s how you get Woodstock and everything else. Peasants will just say: “WOOOOOOOO! LET’S ALL GET DRUNK AND HAVE SEX! NO ONE IS TELLING US WE CAN’T! LET’S JUST DO DRUGS AND GET NAKED AND HAVE SEX! WOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

Then, when they get older, they’ll say “LET’S ALL PACK INTO A GIGANTIC BOAT, INTO THESE TINY LITTLE ROOMS AND GO AROUND TO THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES AND GET RIPPED OFF ON STUPID TRINKETS! AND THE BOAT – WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT – THE BOAT WILL HAVE A POOL ON THE BOAT SO IT’S LIKE YOU’RE SWIMMING IN THE OCEAN BUT IT’S IN A POOL! WE’LL PACK IN LIKE INSECTS SO WE DON’T FEEL LONELY! NO ONE IS TELLING US WE CAN’T – WOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

But that isn’t the point here.

The point is, whatever the tastefulness or morality of this industry, it is an entire industry which is being destroyed. The other industry they are preparing to admit is gone forever is slightly less obscene – the movie theater industry.

Next, they’re going to have to admit that commercial air travel is basically done.

The world is getting very small, very fast. And not in the hippy-happy sense of “we’re all connected now!”

Rather, it’s getting smaller in the sense of the trash compactor on the Death Star.

  64. Sredni Vashtar October 11, 2020 at 3:14 pm #

Life (small l) is profoundly negative. Thus Kesa, who is profoundly negative, is right in a general sense even when she is wrong in a specific sense. Has she ever experienced grace and the Life that doth abide in Light? Probably. But her temperment is such that she would not flaunt such an experience or make an idol of it. That would be to betray it and become one of Anglin’s mob sunning themselves at Cruise ship pools. Thus she is a Puritan at heart, in the Catholic fold tending towards Jansenism, even as does Anne Barnhardt.

Sunshine Warrior is profoundly positive. Thus Sunny tends to be wrong in a general sense even when he is right about the “specific” that the Light not only exists, but is Existence. He doesn’t want to see clouds, but our life is all about clouds. Has he experience this Light? Probably, and it probably reinforced his illusions and his conflation of existence with Existence, or matter with Spirit.

” This will even put a smile on Kesa’s face. ”

I liked that everyone I could see was actually dressed.

Not dressed – down as if they are going out to dig ditches , except that they have never touched a shovel in their lives.

People don’t dress like that even to go to church anymore , or to a wedding , or even to go to court where their ass is on the line.

The story is that it is supposed to be about simplicity , and some folks can’t really afford all that fuss and bother , except the fact is most of you certainly can afford it , and , after all , they dress up in fucking Zambia and North Korea .

    I like dance too.

    I’m crazy about ballet.

That is , I like dance that ACTUALLY IS dance.

One of the funny developments of the self – realizing , do – your – own – thing sexual revolution , which you can now see in hindsight , was the devolution and finally disappearance of dance.

First it was a risque dance,

Then it was the do – your – own – thing dance . ( the truth was that at least one – third of the group was thinking , ” What the fuck am I supposed to do here ? ” )

And then the dance halls disappeared.

Going back to the risque dance —

As of 2019 it looks like the queers and the child molesters are the only ones getting any anyway.

Otherwise , if you want to see sex , watch a movie.

That’s how that revolution worked out.

So now it turns out that the Denver shooter, Matthew Dolloff, was not in fact a private security guard. Security guards require federal licenses. He was not licensed.

Examination of the tattoo or transfer on the inside of his right wrist shows it to be an “anti-racist” statement associated with the Rosa Wien (Red Vienna) Antifa group.

    Given these apparent facts

    1. Why did the police (on their official Twitter) state that Dolloff was

    A. A security guard

    B. Not affiliated with Antifa

    2. Why did CBS Denver hire the unlicensed Dolloff in particular and for what purpose?

    3. What is the background and what was the role of the CBS producer who was supervising/handling Dolloff?

    4. What legal and civil liability does CBS Denver face over this shooting?

My original speculation on this shooting (above) gains in validity with ever new fact that is reported. The media is in over its ears in this little color revolution. And not just the media, the police too.

A number of years ago I read a very interesting piece on a CIA program that had – illegally of course bcs the CIA is forbidden from acting domestically – placed its agents in the PD of every city in the United States.

I appears that we are seeing this network being used across the country in the color revolution now.

    Say his name!

His name was Lee Keltner and it looks like he was the victim of a Soros/MSM propaganda operation.

In Portland, an Indiginous Peoples Day celebration got out of hand, Abraham Lincoln Monument toppled and destroyed. The Oregon Historical Society building was attacked and smashed up pretty good; apparently no police were deployed to protect these sites. The milquetoast director of the Historical Society, showing steely resolve, when interviewed, appears to be apologizing for the Vandals.

Meanwhile, on the Homefront, ‘Indiginous Peoples Week’ being celebrated in New Haven with a home invasion and a family of 4 stabbed (apparently over an unpaid drug debt), and 5 or 6 Youts being shot in Hartford. The bloodshed in Hartford is being attributed to different gangs warring over access to all the stolen cars coming into the city from the surrounding suburbs; so basically, the mayhem in Hartford is whiteys fault in Simsbury and Granby for not properly securing his car in the driveway in front of his house. That’s what TBTB are saying anyway.
