Can you feel it? The tension rising to the red-line? It runs clear through all of Western Civ. We are ruled by governments of fiends. But now, the sun rides higher in the sky. The sap is rising in the northern forests. The earth heaves. The buds swell and blush. Something is in the air. The animals are waking from their long winter sleep. The natives are restless.
The two traditional political divisions, liberal and conservative died with Covid. Now there are simply the sane versus the insane. The sane have had enough of being pushed around by the insane. The insane don’t register much of what reality tries to tell them. They have a body of insane ideas to comfort and protect them from reality’s rigors. To call that body of ideas an “ideology” is way too polite.
That the insane call themselves “progressive,” is a signature of their insanity. Progress toward what better state of things? Toward a supremacy of fiends, sadists, degenerates, and morons seizing riches and power by every dishonest means possible outside the rule of law and common decency? It’s not even suitable to call them “communists.” They lack the necessary idealism for that. They don’t expect to put their shoulders to the wheel with their fellow man. They just want to grab your stuff and then kill you so they don’t have to hear any complaints.
The insane do not believe any of the theoretical bullshit they want to force you to swallow. They don’t care about climate change. It’s just a cudgel they use to beat everyone over the head so they can steal your stuff. They don’t care about “democracy.” It’s just a line of bullshit to cover up their election-stealing. Do you suppose that sane people would keep using electronic vote-tabulating machines that were demonstrably connected to the Internet, and thus hackable, if they cared about election integrity? Of course not. They would arrange p.d.q. to junk them and use paper ballots, and only in person at polling places, with “absentee” exceptions only for people out of the country.
The insane do not care about public health. Everything that is known about the Covid-19 vaccinations tells you that they are unsafe and don’t prevent infection or transmission of a flu-like illness that might not even be what it was officially labeled as. Our public health officials in the FDA, the CDC, and in other corners of the Department of health and Human Services, lie about everything they’re responsible for. This week, the CDC (under Director Mandy Cohen) released a 148-page study on myocarditis reactions to mRNA shots. Every word on every page of the document was redacted. The CDC printed countless copies of the report with 148 utterly blank pages, and then proffered them to the news media. How is that not insane?
The insane do not care about the rule of law. The conduct of “Lawfare” is the subversion of the law by dishonest means. It is a species of racketeering. And that is why Lawfare rogues such Marc Elias, Norm Eisen, Andrew Weissmann, Mary McCord, Lisa Monaco, Matthew Graves, and Merrick Garland, should be charged under the federal RICO statutes for conspiring to deprive sane citizens of their rights and property in the many cases related to the 1/6/21 riot at the US Capitol.
It is, so far, an abiding mystery of contemporary history as to how New York Attorney General Letitia James managed to get away with prosecuting a real estate case against Donald Trump that was no more than victimless business-as-usual between a borrower and his lenders. Ms. James ran for that elected office promising to “get” Mr. Trump on something, anything. That is not how the rule of law works. Under the rule of law, first you determine that there is a crime and then look for who did the crime.
Letitia James must be insane and/or pretty stupid. The short-term gain of stealing Mr. Trump’s property under a false color-of-law and creating impediments to his election campaign, will, sooner or later, blow back at her as a matter of malicious prosecution and, plausibly, racketeering as well. (With whom did she conspire to bring this case? We shall find out.) She will eventually be disgraced publicly as her teammate Fani Willis has already been disgraced in Fulton County, Georgia. I’ll tell you something that all sane people now know but won’t talk about for fear of being crushed by the levers of Lawfare: this looks like a concerted effort by people-of-color to railroad people of non-color. If you think that is a good thing for race relations in our country, then you are insane.
Here are a bunch of other things that are insane: Re-litigating the first amendment is insane. It means what it says, and states it plainly. The open border is insane. No credible sovereign polity would allow it. It would be opposed with force, if necessary. Turning children into transsexuals on a wholesale basis is insane, and fiendishly so. Everybody knows that it is not good for the children or for our society as a whole. But fiends got to fiend, and if you try to deprive them of being fiends then you are guilty of “hate.”
The war in Ukraine is insane. We certainly didn’t ignite it in the service of “democracy.” Our pawn there, Mr. Zelensky, canceled the national elections last year. The war was arguably an effort by our CIA to deprive Russia of its market for natgas in Europe, and thus deprive Russia of a great deal of money, that is, of prosperity. The project failed. Russia overcame NATO’s proxy army and found other markets for its gas. Blowing up the Nord Stream pipelines only served to impoverish and weaken our NATO allies, who no longer have affordable gas to run their industries. The leaders of those allies were too insane to recognize that the Nord Stream op was an act-of-war against them. They were also busy destroying themselves, like the USA, with open borders. They will end up in a new medievalism, ruled by savages. You’d have to be insane to arrange that for yourself.
What’s most obviously insane in our country is that the insane party is pretending to nominate the mentally unfit White House place-keeper, “Joe Biden,” for reelection. You would think that if this party wanted to retain power, they would run a candidate who, though insane, was not also visibly senile. But the rank and file of this party are too insane to see that this dodge is not working. They are pretending with all their might that this is okay, that the growing faction of the sane don’t notice.
Sensing the growing impatience with insanity among the voters, the insane party has reached its point of terminal desperation. What will they try next? Murder? Why not? Nothing else seemed to work. They are too far gone in their insanity to understand that winter is over. We’ve entered the season of rebirth and renewal, starting with a renewed appreciation for being sane and for that indispensable ingredient that makes liberty in a free society possible: good faith. Really, the only question left is: how rough do they intend to play to prevent the return of sanity and good faith?

I’ve got to say though, I am still riding high from the recent Putin election victory in Russia. Here is my latest inspirational poem that comes to mind:
Oh Dear Putin, you win the Russian Presidential election year after year,
With you continuously in power we have nothing to fear;
You know how to face controversy with dignity and grace,
Loneliness, solitude, and despair are what the West must learn to embrace;
You are setting the world on a path of righteousness and freedom,

Just considering what Putin has achieved within Russia in his 20 ish years at the helm, how can anyone doubt the success of his leadership? No wonder over 80% of Russians adore him.
No world leader is spotless. No world leader (unless they are a psychopath) has zero regrets, or a clean conscience. But Putin is the calibre of man that the West needs so badly right now.
Putin is stone-cold sane, and intelligent.
Insane people would not get away with what they do without the aid of the extremely stupid.
I was just looking at a clip of the Shark Tank guy, Kevin O’Leary, ranting about what is being done to Trump by Letitia James.
Someone actually commented under the clip, that “this is what happens when you don’t pay your taxes”.
There are actually millions of people out there believing that Trump is in trouble for being a tax cheat and a rapist.
The media they consume is their Plato’s cave wall, their reality, their Matrix, their truth.

Putin is the only adult on the world stage, as compared to the current US administration and most of NATO as well.
While here, I wish to express my gratitude and respect to JHK for continuing to point out the irrationality and illogic of the current crop of insane world leaders. It’s voices such as JHK that are preventing, or at least slowing, the slide of this world into insanity and consequent tyranny. His writing, along with most of the posters on this site, makes me feel that all is not lost yet.
I posit that sane versus insane is synonymous with God versus evil. That is, rational thinking and proper logic are hallmarks of God, while irrational thinking and illogic, especially when deliberate (as is the case among most of today’s insane crowd) are hallmarks of evil. Being too lazy to question illogic and employ disciplined thinking falls into the evil category as well, maybe as venial as opposed to mortal evil.

That’s not good diplomacy and Putin isn’t interested in making the world bow down to his country. He is explicit time and again that what he is after is well balanced relations that respect the dignity and sovereignty of all nations and parties. He does want Russia to own its place as a first-order country, along with China and whoever else might qualify; which he would probably list India in that category, and maybe Iran. He would not include Germany or the US.
Putin is the great man of the age tho, yes. Slava Rossiya.
Somebody else that I follow besides Jim here, is Martin Armstrong. Besides, knowing the markets inside and out, he comes out, would really interesting articles. And he supports President Trump and his campaign. He donates to him.
he came out with an article recently about how Trump can get out of his situation by moving everything to Florida. The name of his website is Armstrong economics. I don’t invest in the market but a close friend of mine does and he knows that I’m a supporter of President Trump just like he is and we both vote for in both times.
And he knows I like reading other good conservative writers, so he sent me an article her to buy the guy. Needless to say, I signed up to receive what he comes out with.
The article I’m speaking about I’m gonna post it here because this guy knows what he’s talking about. He went through practically the same thing in New York City, himself!!

I take it that you’re responding to my comment???? if so, thank you. I didn’t know about this until I happened to use / need to use this frame, I reckon you call it that when you use, Google chrome. And you slide it over and open up another one.
And I didn’t want to do that. And I had forgotten that this is the frame that I used to pull up this article by, Jim Kunstler. Someone that I have noticed over the years go from being pretty doggone liberal, to being fairly conservative.
I don’t get any notifications when somebody replies to my comment on this website like I do on other websites. And that is one of the reasons that I don’t comment on this website, very often. In all likelihood, It’s been a year, since I commented on here.
I know it’s been many, many months. And in all likelihood, it will probably be several months or more, and maybe, just maybe, another year will roll by before I comment again..
But, I do receive every article he comes out with, and I will continue to because I love reading them. All of my friends call me a voracious reader. And, the reason why I am is because I’m retired now.
When I was working for the last 30 years in what I call my beloved, Oil&Gas Industry, I rarely ever took the time to post a comment, Online…. I simply didn’t have the time to do it. When I retired, I was the, VP Of HSE (The safety department) for the last company that I had worked for. And, the 3 companies before that. This was another absolutely outstanding article produced by, James Kunstler.
I think I prefer the terms “objectively minded” and “self-delusional.” Being objectively minded means facing facts, as uncomfortable or disheartening they might be. Self-delusional is intentionally denying these things and attempting to force the objectively minded to obey or else.
Who’s gonna win this contest? As an example: ” Letitia James must be insane and/or pretty stupid” — she’d fit in perfectly in Washington State where they are dropping the bar exam for aspiring lawyers. It’s evidently too hard for minorities, ergo unfair. That is self-delusional.

When you say “at this point”, “in time” is already implicit. What else would it be? “At this point in space”? “At this point in… a field of points”?
The point that I think the Stick is trying to make is, “Think about what you are saying. Say what you mean. And don’t speak in cliches and tired turns-of-phrase.”
For example the extremely irritating: “I could care less.” It means the opposite of what the sayer is trying to say, but they are so preoccupied with sounding cool, that they leave necessary words out of a phrase. They probably walk around with their pants falling off too, ’cause that looks “cool”.
And yes, the Stick is – for better or worse – the grammar police.

There are no “points” in time. Time is not static. So the entire expression should be axed. “Now” would suffice for “at this point in time”.

Well, we don’t. They just steal the elections. Watch (or listen to) Tucker Carlson’s interview with Mike Benz. The nefarious Deep State has been ruling us for a long time. They assassinated a sitting president, for pete’s sake, 60 years ago. Stealing elections is peanuts, morally speaking, next to outright murder. They’ll do whatever they deem necessary to keep power.
My hope is that, like the Soviet Union, like Hitler, they will eventually self-destruct. The problem for us is that many of us innocents may die in the process.
Perhaps the insanity is purposeful, that in order to take take down Western Civilization, all our constructs of normalcy had to be dismantled by the powers that be so that our world would, by degree, be unrecognizable.
Constructs are powerful—they are the scaffolding that holds an agreed upon reality together.
They are purposely employing insanity is my point (which makes them insane by default).
One such construct is the dignity and reverence we once gave to the office of the president of the United States. When you put a man with dementia into office—a hair-sniffing criminal, you are effectively deconstructing that office, so the adjectives we once assigned the role of American leader fall away. It not only demoralizes, but it serves to take away the scaffolding that once held up the institution of the presidency.
This type of take-down is being employed in all of our institutions—even corporations and systems. The goal is to have nothing appear as it once was. We must not identify with brands, offices, or institutions that made America America. Bud Lite, the presidency, school libraries, families, gender—everything must be turned upside down if you are going to wear people down enough to build a New World. We must no longer identify with America as we once did, if they are to succeed.
Instituting insanity is but one tool to that end.

MiTurn: You are exactly correct about the banning of the bar exam in WA state; once an individual, via social promotion process/affirmative action BS/academic virtue signaling, completes ‘law school,’ then boom, its a lawyer who can practice law, immediately.
Imagine if med schools started such insanity. Oh yes, I forget, many so called ‘universities,’ are already talking the talk of more DEI studies and less science in med schools. Getting rid of passing the 4th year National Board Medical Exam is next; then getting rid of residency training because its all too hard and stressful for those with IQs one standard deviation below the Caucasian mean.

It puts me in mind of my British ancestors when the Romans left. First thing: the plumbing stopped working. Then the central heating. It was downhill for quite a while afterwards. Here, I figure the barbarians will drive the employees out of WaWa and 7-Eleven, and ensconce themselves therein, consuming everything like locusts on crack. It’ll only take a few days before the toilets stop working. They’ll pile clothing atop the grill and sleep on it, until the electricity goes. Bathing, if any of them had ever indulged in it, will be a dim memory. After they’ve eaten everything in the freezers and all the fresh stuff, they’ll cast about for who looks tastiest and/or most helpless. Everything that once worked will stop working and become useless junk, but they’ll fight over it anyway. A little further along, they’ll have forgotten what having any sort of technology was like and even what it was for. Maybe they’ll begin worshipping rusty old car parts or, conversely, fleeing in terror from them.
This is what’s happening right now in Haiti.

I’m beginning to think that being armed is bullshit in this country. Get heavily armed for what? Not like any of you with guns are ever going to use the shit on anyone other than a home invader who is less of a threat compared to the people who deserve more than one bullet.
You’ve obviously never been in the military or seen anything akin to civil war or battle. I was in the US Medical Command during the Bosnia/Croatia event, and saw first hand that when gangs start roving around neighborhoods looking for food, water and women, having significant fire power will save the lives of you and yours. But then, maybe YOU should not be trusted with a rifle. 🙂

A large mental institution near my house was demolished in the early 90’s. There is now a trail there. At the bottom of the trail is a potters field with small numbered granite headstones. It is overgrown, but I counted at least 180.
Some say it was cruel to warehouse the insane, but its cruel to the sane to have them out on the streets. Every decision made above us in this country is made with the express intent of destroying the white middle class.
Raymond: In the 60’s and 70’s, liberals came up with the concept of treating the insane in the ‘least restrictive environment.’ Then they went after the mental hospitals as being a form of torture and excessive restriction. Then they went after the funding of those hospitals in the late 90’s and after, shutting them down and putting the insane on the streets and under the bridges. IMO, the more ‘socially adept psychopathic’ of the insane starting getting elected to city/county/state positions and then on to DC.
And here we are with a society run by insane, but socially adept, psychopaths.
The ACLU sued the Reagan administration on that basis, “the least restrictive environment” was one of their arguments. They won and I watched several mental hospitals in Oregon get closed down. I had worked for the local sheriff’s office and had transported numerous people to the state hospital. The thought of some of these people roaming the streets when they were truly mentally unwell, was frightening. But since the people who run our country are similarly mentally unwell, it’s just business as usual. As Jim so often says, “anything goes, and nothing matters.” Those are the times we are living in.

Bread and circuses have kept the masses from rebelling against this madness – so far. But I sense that another obviously stolen election this November will be the last straw.
By January 20, 2025 – Inauguration Day, if it hasn’t been canceled – I will be very much surprised if the center continues to hold.
They are going to try and find every reason to cancel the election and declare martial law. Who knows what the Dem and Repub conventions will entail this simmer.
I mean, look how the media is whipping up a feeding frenzy over that eclipse that is set to occur in a few weeks! Per some recent articles I read, excerpts are as follows:
At least four states have urged residents to stock up on groceries and gas and to fill medical prescriptions in the days leading up to the eclipse, as traffic is expected to overwhelm local roads.
The event is expected to put a strain on local cell towers, as the population is expected to triple in some areas. On Tuesday, the New York State Police published a list of concerns troopers had about the upcoming eclipse, including its impact to cell service.
There also could be an increase in 911 call volume, according to the press release, and traffic could become so gridlocked that drivers are waiting as long as 12 hours to get home. Students could become stranded on buses while in traffic, prompting police to urge schools to close or offer a half-day.
To address its concerns, the New York State Police will double its available personnel for the event.
“The New York State Police has developed an emergency operation plan in collaboration with other state, local, and federal law enforcement, emergency services and transportation agencies,” the press release said.
“Strike Teams will be strategically deployed to monitor traffic and respond rapidly to any issues that may interfere with the safe flow of traffic or affect the quick clearance of any incidents.”

I think things will be simmering this summer, most definitely!
I didn’t know that cell towers could be overcome. Interesting.
But I do know that the traffic will increase. During the last eclipse I rode my bike to the place where NASA was set up, in order to miss the traffic.
It was a hot and humid day, and riding my bike damn near killed me.
Anyway, on the way back home, I zipped through bumper to bumper traffic. A cop was positioned at one crossroads, which didn’t even have a stop light, so people were being assholes. I gave him a word of commiseration, and he agreed.
I heard that it took some people many hours to get through the traffic on the highway. If they would have hung out in town a couple of hours they could have missed that, but people are stupid.
Cancel what election? the November elections? Not a chance outside of an act of God. I wish the ruling oligarchy was that dumb and even the lamest of the lame would get the message.

5. The US taxpayer will continue to be raped to support Israel (of course), the welfare state (of course), and the military industrial complex (of course), and the corrupt university and health care system. And OF COURSE, the interest on the Federal Debt.
Now, there may be differences in the DEGREE to which these things continue. Trump might do better with the border. He maybe be less bad on item #2. But it’s tweedle-dum, tweedle-dee.
However, who “wins” the election is of great import to which WING of the Republicrats will get the perks and spoils.
And since November of 2020, with the COVID PLAN-demic, the integrity of US election system in general, and in several states, has been severely compromised.
Biden starts with CA, WA, OR; NY, NJ, MD, DE, MA, CT, RI, VT. That’s his. That’s a huge gimme. 150 of 270 needed to win.
I’m gonna say a few words about my state, Michigan. I don’t follow things that closely. But in the last election, my fellow voters, put approved a constitutional amendment that really expands mail-in voting. It cannot be undone legislatively.
Mail-in voting is tailor made for cheating. And while I despise Republicrats in general, the truth is, the Democratic Party is the one that cheats on a large scale Where Republicans once had some control (like Nassau County, NY, or Oakland County, MI) they’ve lost it.
So, weaking the integrity of the system means that it has become a lot harder, probably impossible, for a Republican to win a TRULY close election here.
Whatever the final result is in Michigan, I will say 1% to 5% of the Democrat votes won’t be legit.
I also know, for a fact, locally, that it’s much harder for a Republican poll watcher to observe the polls in Detroit or Pontiac (most people cannot really see things or ballots that are 20 or THIRTY feet away!!), whereas the reverse is not true in the suburbs.
If it’s like that in Georgia, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and other states, it’s very difficult for a non-Democrat to win–unless the Democrat is a complete idiot.
In this case, the Democrat is. But like or not, Mr. Trump is disliked by a lot “centrist” Americans, and by more than a few Republicans. Plus RFK will take more votes from Trump than Biden, and in purple states, where Trump needs them.
From where I sit, things are not looking good, regardless of who wins.
But it also looks like, today, we will get the greater of the evils.
Now, all kinds of things can happen between now and November that could unleash an anti-Biden tsunami.
I suppose those things could lead to martial law.
Even then, with “early voting”, if the tsunami happens after Oct xx, and people voted, it’s too late.

I will venture a guess that >70% of the population think in terms that the existing format for life is like a law of nature, and do not conceive that it is nothing more than a flawed man made game. My thoughts are that it wasn’t until recently that those in the know have come to realize how developed and organized the 2030 Agenda/Great Reset/Build Back Better faction (or group of factions) is, and the majority of this group (including Trump and his associates) still do not realize the power they wield. Future leadership has been reluctant to openly discuss it, or take a stand, because the enemy has not fully been disclosed, and because they have not wished to be subjected to the J6th/Trump/Scheller/Canadian Trucker/etc. treatment. Jarek: The problem is not capitalism per se, as the simple process of one person making or growing something and selling it to another is capitalism, and the basis of civilization. The problem is when a group (i.e. a corporation) gets so big and wealthy that it can literally buy legislators (think lobbying which is ubiquitous at the state and federal levels) and have them work out advantages for that corporation over others. That’s the basis of many problems: Big corporation and government corruption, intertwined.

And a limited government federal goverment gave states and localities powers.
And a limited federal government plus the Bill of Rights and so forth gave individuals and private groups power.

I saved seeds from several tomato plants I grew last year. None of the seeds sprouted. Eventually, they will destroy all heirloom seeds and you will only be able to produce with seeds that won’t germinate.
My tomato seeds germinated within a week. They were saved from both heirloom varietals (black pineapple, red zebra, atomic grape, evil olive) and hybridized ( ss100, sungold, early girl. I fermented all prior to drying. note- if you cannot take time and space to ferment then just save seeds from partially rotten ‘maters. also, save and root any suckers (or tops) removed from plants at least seven nodes in growth. they will root in a few days.
Johnny’s Seeds in Maine has several varieties of heirloom tomatoes. I get Tom’s Wild Cherry tomatoes — very hardy. I left a couple tiny pots I’d started behind my house & forgot about them. Even on north side in shade, they started producing from their tiny pots. And in late fall, I found one self-started & growing tiny tomatoes. I think in a decent sized pot they could produce through winter inside a house.
I’ve bever had problems saving their seeds. I just let the seeds dry on a paper towel. Plant them with a bit of paper stuck to them.
I also like Moscovitch tomatoes — big, deep red, juicy heirlooms.

So, what about those rotting cuttings? I bought a few pounds of red wigglers (worms) many years ago and my compost pile is absolutely chocked full of them now. There’s not time for the cuttings to rot because the worms eat them lickety split. Just replenished the south facing garden with a few wheelbarrows of black earth compost…last years cuttings, thick with worm castings, are this years plant food.
Of course, there’s no calculation on the transportation required, since there is none from my garden to my table. And my garden is all sweat equity. Don’t even have a power tiller because I’ve converted to all permiculture.

I’ve lost friends when they refused my request for them to help me move apartments or houses, throughout the years.
I dropped everything to help friends, and spend an afternoon in pitching in to make the arduous task a bit easier on them. Plus, you build up an appetite, and the friend provides an excellent take-out, cold beer, and the company of other friends, post-move. Good times.

I remember voting for Ron Paul for president in 1988, even though I wasn’t a Libertarian, just as a protest vote. I remember seeing the election results on mainstream TV news, where they ONLY showed the votes for Bush and Dukakis, as if Ron Paul didn’t even exist.

When I early voted at City Hall yesterday in the presidential primary (as the major-party presidential candidates are running essentially unopposed, I voted for “uninstructed delegates” in the Democratic primary), I voted in favor of laws for my home state of Wisconsin that would curtail this sort of thing. Eliminating early-voting by absentee-ballots at City Hall would be a simple-minded blanket-approach that would end up throwing out the baby along with the bath-water.
Easy solution to the voting problem for working people. Make election day a national holiday. Nobody works. Period. That day is a national holiday exclusive so people can get to the polls and vote. A much more important holiday than “Juneteenth” or “MLK” day.
No early voting. Extremely limited absentee voting. Just one election day holiday. Everybody now has time to vote.
That would work, too, for sure.
We can’t have a day when “nobody works.” Emergency services, people to keep the utilities on, nursing home workers, etc have to work. And if those people have a long commute, it may not be possible for them to vote in their precinct and also get to work on time.
Then tough shit, they don’t vote. Can’t cater to hundreds of millions of different circumstances and millions of crybabies wanting to be accommodated.

I saw a video of the celebration in Moscow a few days ago marking the 10th anniversary of Crimea coming back into Russia. They were singing the beautiful Russian national anthem, which Putin himself brought to birth in 2000, having made it one of his priorities soon after becoming president. (Russia didn’t even have an anthem with words at the time.) In other words, that anthem is like “his baby.” I have seen him sing that anthem before, with all his heart, with the joy like that of a patriotic youth.
But on that night earlier this week, as thousands sang, he was barely even moving his lips. Thete was bright, proud joy on the young faces in the crowd, but not on the face of their president. He looked old and sad, somber. You could see on his face the weight of all those lives that have been lost, the realization of the fanatic intransigence of the West, the potential of this war to spiral out of control, the way it grinds on and on and on…. What a burden is on that man!

Well, the situation is finally getting to me. I’ve been feeling pretty anxious for the last week or so – for no apparent reason. I can only conclude this generalized anxiety is because my subconscious is trying to tell me something. My life is pretty good. I can’t think of why I would be anxious, so I conclude it’s because I’ve been reading a lot of negative news. There’s no good news such that a reasonably intelligent person would say conditions are okay.
As much as I want to be positive (and I used to be), it appears that the shit is soon going to hit the fan. I guess I’m just waiting for the sky to fall sometime this year. Right now I’m going day by day. I’m powerless to prevent the big picture. I know I’ll prevail in the end, but that’s not how I want it to be.
Look at what has happened in Russia. You’d think they’d be safe from all these events. That tells me when Chicken Little is proven correct, it will be a worldwide happenstance.

I know at least two guys I often talk about concerning matters with, one lives in Spain the other is in Ecuador. Neither one of them would trade up their countries to come to America. In fact the one in Ecuador actually makes fun of all the Latinos flocking here.

Most people are comfortable with where they’ve lived all their lives. If I lived in Ecuador, I’d be concerned about climate change because the Earth is warming and in the not too distant future it will become be too hot to live comfortably there. Politically, Ecuador has been relatively stable but it’s in South America. I wouldn’t be too sure about it remaining so.
Spain, however, seems like a pretty nice place to live. My wife’s grandniece lived there for a little while and loved it.

One of the jobs of young people is to use the wisdom of older people to better themselves and to avoid the “flying” objects of life.

After reading I immediately started to wonder what the definition of insanity was in 1924 because living languages can so easily be used to modify thoughts and perceptions and can easily be changed due to slight variations. Today insanity is basically considered an inability to think, act rationally and within social norms, and or assume responsibility for actions and behaviors. And most generally this is due to a background condition of mental illness. Generally too mental illness is believed to be mostly manageable with medications and therapy. There is an ongoing argument about whether mental illness is organic or environmentally caused.
So then I did a lot of searching and even went to the wayback machine to see how people thought of insanity a hundred years ago and basically from as far as I can tell insanity was basically considered an organic disease of the brain that manifested or became triggered because of the person’s violation of morals and natural laws. Like omg so different ok. So like essentially it seems like a long time ago people were not necessarily seen as victims of pathologies but rather participants within their pathologies. Very interesting too was that back then there was a popular perception that the increase in the number of insane or “lunatics” lol was because of rapid industrialization and urbanization. And that is why a lot of insane asylums were established in rural and natural settings.
Go further back and they thought it was caused by spirits. So logically, why not hurt the person’s body and maybe the spirit will leave?
Who knows? Maybe it worked sometimes, when that was the cause – which is not often. But possession is increasing. Should we not avail ourselves of these methods, perhaps under the rubric of medicine and technology, as in shock treatments?
Yes that was on my mind too lol and i was thinking of posting an addendum basically saying the in the middle ages people of course thought that mental illnesses were due to demonic possession. Ok, I feel better: I’ve only lost part of my mind. I was thinking of Slater Martin, a 1950’s NBA player who played with George Mikan and Bob Pettit. They we’re pretty big guys, and Martin was only 5’10”. The stars of that era were over 6’, so I remember him as being small compared to the other guys. Phew! I watched him a lot when I saw the Celtics play Minneapolis.
I think Pepper Martin was a member of the Gas House Gang, the St. Louis Cardinals, teammate of Ducky Joe Medwick and Dizzy & Daffy Dean.
Do you recall doing “Mikan” drills in youth basketball? Mikan would do alternating left-hand/right-hand layups without letting the ball hit the court. It helped develop touch around the rim. Back in the 80’s, big guys had to do them every practice.
One interesting thing I read about Mikan is that he was the leading proponent of adding the three-point line. Most big men were against it, as it diminished their role in the game. The NBA experimented with it in 1980 or so and the NCAA didn’t add it until 1987.

‘The Kremlin has a long and bloody history of fighting Islamist extremism, from Russia’s brutal military campaign in Chechnya – Putin’s first war after becoming president – to Moscow’s more recent military intervention in Syria, where Russian forces were involved in eliminating Isil’s self-declared caliphate in Raqqa.

Putin even made a rare public declaration in support of the decision. It’s a judgment he may well come to regret following reports that the group responsible for the concert hall attack was based in Afghanistan and operating under the Taliban’s protection.’

Just yesterday spoke on the phone with a buddy who lives in a small farming community outside of the Portland Or. Metro area.
He just got home from the hospital where his wife had a bit of her large colon removed due to some benign cyst there growing. His doctor, a personal friend, said he currently has three patients with the same occurrence. His doctor quietly told him that the covid shots are suspected in having caused this condition. Both he and his wife have taken all the shots and boosters.

We spent our summers as kids in the Quebec country (Laurentians) and enjoyed the loons’ wonderful sounds among nature and its general peace and quiet.
As a species, we’ve lost a fair bit of that sort of thing and need to get it back. Communication like this for example, just doesn’t cut it and may very well threaten to contribute to a kind of collective insanity.

Covid shots are good for business. And the business of America is business.

We have about 2 million U.S military personnel in the Army, Navy, Air Force, National Guard and Reserves. About 87% are stationed in the U.S. and its territories, the rest in Europe and The Middle East and Asia.
We have five or six million illegal military aged young men roaming the Country. Give them a gun and some leadership and Houston has a problem!
