What if Dr. Geert Vanden Bossche is correct? The Dutch virologist said at the outset of the Covid-19 episode in 2020 that vaccinating the world in the midst of an epidemic was insane because it would train the virus to evolve more dangerously while disabling human immune systems.
Last week he issued a warning that the world was within weeks of just such a new and deadly immune escape variant outbreak that would bring on a shocking wave of sickness and death among people who received multiple Covid-19 vaccinations. This would happen on top of an already accelerating rise in latent vaccine adverse reactions manifesting as aggressive cancers, blood disorders, cardiac injury, neurological disease, and much, much more.
To this point in the Covid-19 story, Western Civ in general, and the USA in particular, have descended into an epic group psychosis as a result of the managed mind-fuckery induced by their own governments in collusion with a pharmaceutical industry metastasizing on money the way an aggressive cancer feeds on sugar in a human body. Fearful citizens swallowed all manner of unreality foisted on them by means of propaganda and censorship.
We still don’t know for sure how, who, and why, exactly, Covid-19 was set loose on the world, and the public health agencies don’t want you to know. Perhaps the worst and most baldly dishonest act was the official suppression of effective treatments with common, safe, anti-virals that could have saved millions of lives. And all just to preserve the vaccine companies’ liability shield from the Emergency Use Authorization. In fact, governments are still militating against the sale and use of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine, which could be taken prophylactically in anticipation of a new outbreak.
So, if these populations were driven crazy by authorities ginning up their fear and preying on it, what will happen if that fear turns to anger instead? Because that’s exactly what will happen when Americans, and perhaps even Europeans, realize they’ve been subject to history’s biggest homicidal fraud. That anger is going to seek targets, and they are going to find them very easily in their own government officials and also — get this — in the medical establishment that has betrayed its patients so unconscionably.
It’s just impossible to say exactly how that will play out on-the-ground. Governments are already falling — Spain, the Netherlands — but these were parliamentary downfalls according to regular political procedure. Our country has no such procedures for changing authority in a time of crisis. Instead, we have a president up to his neck in bribery scandal and executive agency thuggery, and political parties sunk in corruption, and no way to get rid of them except elections many months away — elections which at least half the people don’t believe are honest.
This crisis of bad faith and sickness is happening at the same time that Western Civ enters an equally vicious crisis of economy and finance. America and Europe are broke. All are playing games with their conjoined banking systems and their currencies. All are de-industrializing economies strictly based on industrial production of goods no longer being produced, and pretending to replace them with economies of computer vapor-ware. That can’t work and can only end badly in collapsing standards of living.
The past few years, an apparent coalition of global elites, functioning in orgs such as the WEF, the WHO, the EU, the IMF, the central banks, and countless NGOs, along with shadowy intel units and what remains of the old news media, have promoted ever more desperate top-down control programs to prevent a breakdown into wholesale economic and political disorder. Their efforts increasingly tilt into pretense.
Try to impose digital currencies and health passports? Fuggeddabowdit. You will only get a chaos of work-arounds, non-compliance, and probably violent opposition. Keep that stupid, dishonorable, perfidious, and unnecessary war going in Ukraine and you run the risk of turning Western Civ into a matched set of ashtrays.
As you can see, there has already been enough official mischief, crime, and malfeasance to severely piss-off the population. If Dr. Vanden Bossche is correct, we are perhaps heading into the conclusive shock of an evil era. Some kind of monumental correction will be in order. The people will need some way to regain credible self-governance, either through personnel change in every locus of power, or some revision in structure and procedure. For now, there is little faith that our institutions can manage either of those options. Better maintain situational awareness as we creep into the unknown.

In April, 2023, Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) Kathie Breault was indicted in the Eastern States District Federal Court for “Conspiracy to Defraud the United States” for giving vaccination cards to people who did not receive Covid-19 vaccinations. Her defense is that the vaccinations were ineffective and harmful, and to administer them would violate the Hippocratic oath of health professionals (First do no harm). Her legal battle against a dishonest and vindictive federal government will require lawyer’s fees that exceed her ability to pay — a reminder that “the process is the punishment.”
Kathie has also been accused of “professional misconduct” by the New York State Licensing Board for prescribing Ivermectin via telehealth visits in July 2021. Many other medical practitioners across the United States have been similarly persecuted and some have lost their licenses to practice. Kathie has been under investigation by New York’s Office of Professional Discipline since March 2022. No decision has been reached as of May 2023.

As much as possible, you are going to want to avoid those hammers. Cities and suburbs will be kill zones. Isolated rural areas might do ok.
Isolated in a cabin you will be a sitting duck for someone out in the bushes with a rifle, waiting for you to open your door. Small communities without apparent wealth that band together for mutual defense will stand the best chance and even then, much will depend upon luck.

Situational Awareness:
Sitting behind the living room curtain waiting for a bullet to come along with your name on it is so 1950’s. If your community of 500 cares to survive it can afford to have its own air force of 50 weaponized surveillance drones and a command center manned 24/7 by its teen age computer geeks. Drones with enough payload to deliver an Amazon package cost only a few dollars and can carry enough C4 to neutralize any pack of raiders or even Homeland Insecurity patrols.
And Jim, please stop falling into the fashion of calling “them” elites. They are in no way elite, or by any measure (except wealth and lack of humanity) superior to you or me. Instead call them by their proper name, “Ruling Class” or “Malignant Overlords”.

The drone idea is brilliant! It does depend on the continued availability of electricity and communications. Much would depend on where your rural area gets its electricity from, whether they still exist, whether they are willing to supply your community, and whether you can pay them.
Rural electrical service is, around here, kind of a patchwork of different companies. In the area where I live now, we get our electricity from Kansas City Power and Light. My guess is that they would not be on our side. At my former residence, where I lived about a year ago, we got our electricity from a small local co-op. The nearest town bought their electricity on the open market–though, up until about 15 years ago, the city had generated its own electricity.
Anyway: lots of angles to the drone idea.

Before you could have a community defense air force you must have a Community. And judging by history that is much more difficult to achieve than whatever technical solution you might come up with.
You want to be in an isolated cohesive community like the recent folks James hosted in his podcast from hinterland Illinois (corn/soy farms all around. This community will survive since it has food and a blu collar/khaki labor/security supply much like the Mennonites here in Central Ontario. Forget this gushing about having a cabin in the woods and eating venison and fishing for trout and planting a small potato patch, and foraging for mushrooms and raspberries. You are/will be prey to every marauder human and or animal when the SHTF.
No. Rural areas will not fare any better as the starving gangs of hungry people will fan out to the rural areas and destroy them. If there is no food in the City they will go where the food is and that will be large multitudes. If an eminent hammer comes down it will affect us all. There is no safe place to hide or sit out the calamity.
Keep the last round in your chamber reserved for yourself. There are many things far worse than death.
I agree with Zoltar. I can see communities banding together and sharing resources. I can see churches bringing in their people to protect food, medicines and resources. Everything is about to become more and more localized.

None of what you say will happen because when the grid goes down the rule of 3 takes over.
The elements can kill a person in 3 hours. You will freeze to death if it is cold and you will suffer heat stroke if in the Sun for too long. People trying to walk their way out of the cities and suburbs will just die tired.
Lack of clean drinking water will kill a person in about 3 days. Someone making their way out of their safe suburb into the wilds better be able to pack plenty of clean water for the trip because they wont find any along the way.
Lack of food will put someone out of commission after about 3 weeks. Having to road march yourself around in the wilderness looking for people to sneak up on is hungry work. Good luck with that.
I’ll say it again, if you live in a city or suburb then there is no point in prepping. Just party like it is 1999.
You sound as if you are assuming that people will be looking for rural dwellers by themselves or all alone. I don’t think it is entirely unfeasible for a band of hungry people to pool their gasoline reserves, water reserves and so forth and head out to the rural areas to find a farm or a ranch to pillage.
You also make good points but there are always variations to the norms.
I do agree that if you are in a major City you are just done.

Everyone instinctively comprehends that civilizational collapse = a state of anarchy and “every man for himself” and we prep accordingly.
My prepping includes a “zero tolerance” policy towards “raiders.” I think you can deduce what that means. 99.9% of everyone else who preps has the same policy.
So…,,to anyone out there who thinks raiding and pillaging is their “survival plan” – think again. Your life is likely to be terminated rather quickly once you embark upon your grand new career as a post-apocalypse pirate.

You do not have to do much to bring all traffic into rural areas to a stop. Park a few semis on a bridge and that bridge becomes unusable to everything but foot traffic. On the smaller rural roads such as the one I live on, a chainsaw and a few trees isolate me fairly quickly. Sure, you can walk down the middle of that road on out to my place but a scoped hunting rifle meant to take out a deer at 600 yards trumps your urban warfare weapons.
Feel free to leave the roads and wander out in the forest. Finding bodies in the woods will just become our new Halloween tradition for the kids.
Let me explain once and for all how it goes down.
When the grid goes down, the city cores will instantly riot as they always do except this time those riots will not be limited to the city centers but will spread out towards the suburbs. It will happen slowly enough that guys like me will be blocking roads while the city vs suburb fight to the death occurs. During that time some suburbanites will try to flee but being unorganized, they will simply be robbed and sent back from where they came.
The winner of the city vs suburbs deathmatch may want to try their luck with the rural folk but by that time the roads will be unusable as natural chokepoints will be choked off with no way around except on foot.
That puts any marauders on foot and lugging their own gear. While still dangerous, they will be no match for well rested local militia.
Oh Wizard, I hope you are right. As a bit of a prepper myself I definitely hope you are right. I don’t mean to take a contrarian point of view here but I don’t see it the way you describe it. Unless you are holed up with a bunch of like minded preppers who are banded together to protect their keep you are talking about a one man operation.
I’m not a soldier by any means but I would have to believe that it isn’t as easy to shoot and kill an approaching mobile human being much less a large group of approaching mobile human beings, especially if those human beings are aggressive and desperate. What happens if your AR jams? What happens if you pause to shoot the starving woman carrying her hungry child desperate for a meal because you still have some humanity? How many individuals do you believe you could fight off on your own to defend your keep?
I don’t think hunkering down in your con-ex container sitting next to your pallet of .22 long rifle ammunition next to your shelves of freeze dried meals and barrels of purified water is going to cut it for you. Sure, you might take out a few of them but ultimately the odds will overwhelm and you’ll be cut down and your stash taken.
Then there is what do you do when a Government or a rogue operation sends their tanks or Apache helicopters to get your keep? Shoot AR-15 rounds at them? Fight em off with your .22? 9 mm?
I think preppers are noble and I admire their willingness to prepare. But they should never discount what desperate people are capable of.
Like minded preppers should band together, form a militia and share resources. If they can keep it together. Otherwise they might find themselves fighting with other preppers.
I would expect the kind of scenario described by NickelthroweR, at least in my area. Much depends on what your local city and its suburbs are like. Things will look much different on the outskirts of a densely populated Eastern city than they will look in the rural exurbs of a smaller Midwestern city.
Kansas City, Missouri, for example, has a population of about half a million, of which 26% are black and another 6% are “mixed.” The city is about 60% white, and about 11% Hispanic. Asians are only about 3%.
The thing about the city that really stands out, logistically, from the point of view of the exurbs, is that Kansas City is surrounded on all sides by HUGE suburbs. Most of the city proper does not have a very dense population; the suburbs are MUCH more populous and WAY bigger. On the Kansas side, especially, the suburbs go on for flippin’ ever, and they are also very wealthy–and hence much more attractive to starving hordes than us po’ folks on the Missouri side. But they are also much more likely to take stern measures to keep out the urban hordes. Johnson County, Kansas, has always been very unfriendly to blacks, and even to white people driving older cars. They have never had a mall or shopping area close due to crime, as has been the case in adjacent Jackson and Wyandotte Counties. In fact, I can easily envision these affluent suburbs mobilizing in such a way as to identify urban trouble spots and simply bomb or drone them, along the lines of the Tulsa race massacre.
Anyway, the huge affluent suburbs that surround the city should supply us rural people with a huge buffer zone, where residents will be slugging it out with both urbanites and each other for a long time.

The Nazis were not held to account for very long. Within a couple of years of the end of WWII, the US decided that communism was a bigger threat to the West than German Nazis. There was no Nuremberg 2.0 in 1948 and many of the Nazis who had been tried, found guilty and sent to prison had their prison sentences cut short. Many judges who had served in the Third Reich were on the bench into the 1950’s and early 1960’s.
I don’t expect the neocons like Victoria Nuland and her confedererates in the State Department and the CIA to be tried for crimes against humanity. I have read that young and middle age men (16-60) in Ukraine are being kidnapped off the streets and forced into military service unless they are in very poor health.
I’m repeating myself when I recall how I said if the perpetrators of 9/11 were not held to account, we as a nation were doomed.
Nobody was held to account and the US swallowed the official story line just as they swallowed the Warren commission BS.

I get so tired of the silly debates as to whether a particular person is evil or merely stupid. What does it take before you understand that people like Kamala Harris are BOTH?

It seems that the goal of less humans is one of the goals of our “health care industry”. For a few years now I’ve been a regular listener of Dr. Jennifer Daniels’s podcasts about health care. She has both an MD degree as well as an MBA in hospital administration. She claims that according to the medical/industrial complex’s own published statistics that our medical system needlessly kills at least a half million people a year through fraudulent and dangerous procedures that don’t work and only serve to enrich the system itself. She also says that you’ll live longer and healthier if you avoid doctors and only use them for issues like trauma or a ruptured appendix where medical intervention makes sense. The rest of it, the operations, pills, shots, vaccinations etc. aren’t necessary for the most part and alternatives using naturopathic methods cost far less money and are more effective if done the right way.
I find her very interesting but some of her recommendations are still too way out for me to try yet. She recommends eating stuff like pig ears, chicken feet, bull testicles, pork brains and other very unappealing foods that are difficult to get and make you think “yuk” while she’s talking about it. According to her there are dietary cures for type 2 diabetes, and that she’s cured many patients who decided to try her diet advice. I’ve personally had/have problems with craving and eating junk food, ice cream, sugary desert stuff etc. and have only been able to follow her advice halfway at times. Part of the reason I’m veggie gardening is to consume food that has no pesticides or herbicide residues on it. Dr. Daniels claims that all processed foods and all big agribusiness products will over time ruin your health.
Could be the answer to all the criminality and fraud going on in the health care system can be avoided by doing one simple thing. Eat healthy, get excercise and…………………….
STOP GOING TO DOCTORS. GROW A PAIR AND JUST SAY NO!
Obamacare was, in part, a way to keep people who quit going to doctors paying to keep the system going anyway.
They even managed to keep a lot of the public believing the young men who didn’t have health insurance because they almost never went to the doctor, were the problem.
People would hear a slogan on the radio, and repeat it as if they themselves had given the issue a lot of thought.

I think the reason the Chinese were so harsh in their lockdowns was because they felt/knew of that specificity of research already going on. Something like 10% of the Iranian parliament got hit fatally by the Bug when it first made its way west.
It can be argued that they were elderly and that it was just a coincidence that it hit the U.S.’s chosen enemies so hard first, but the point remains: since the U.S. has been involved in treaty-breaking biowarfare research for decades now, it only makes perfect sense that they or any party trying to do so would feel it a success if it didn’t affect their own people. In other words, something they would naturally aim for.
Back to China, considering the swine and avian flus that certain significant people were attributing to the CIA even before Covid, I’m not surprised they went to such (to us) lockdown extremes. The CIA started this kind of underhandedness back in the 1960s when they introduced a fatal swine virus to Cuba that devastated their livestock.
In today’s environment, what Kennedy said will automatically be misinterpreted and taken to extremes, and somebody like that smarmy David Pakman is the perfect one to give it steam.
But Kennedy proves he’s got a long, long way to go if he’s truly intending to cross the finish line in first place. Instead he’s going out without armoring up sufficiently to face the public in today’s pressure cooker environment. His unguardedness is putting him on the defensive and making him susceptible to reactionary thinking and actions. Thanks for finding the video. I watched it a few times as well as Pakman’s commentary once. I’m not really interested in David Pakman’s take on this and I want to point out that Pakman’s many interruptions into the video destroyed the flow of what Kennedy was saying. I also need to point out that the closed captioning at the bottom of the screen was wrong on multiple occasions and should be ignored. Kennedy appears to be making the point that there is technology to create ethnically targeted microbes and that “we” as well as the Chinese have invested hundreds of millions of dollars to do this. He also says that there is an argument that Covid19 is ethnically targeted. He says Covid19 attacks certain races disproportionately. Because of the genetic structure of Covid19 and genetic differentials across races, the races that are most immune are ashkenazi Jews and the Chinese. The races that are most susceptible to Covid19 are whites and blacks. He uses the words “targeted to attack” when speaking of Covid19. He references the bioweapons labs in the Ukraine saying they were collecting Russian DNA. This gets interrupted with another useless Pakman comment about the appropriateness of using the term “The Ukraine” in light of the last year of military destruction. Pakman detracts from the video, to say the least.
I’ve said before that I am a Trump supporter. Trump has also said some things I wish he hadn’t and that no political candidate is perfect. I want to reiterate here that I would consider it a very high quality problem to be faced with a ballot in November ’24 that was Kennedy v Trump or Kennedy v Desantis because all three candidates are better than what we’ve got with Biden (plus Harris in the wings as VP, should Biden die).

Some of what she says makes sense, some doesn’t. Diet figures into managing NIDDM, of course, but if you want to really help out your pancreas, build muscle mass. Part of the diabetes equation is that the carbohydrate that you do ingest has to go somewhere, and we lose muscle mass as we age. Keeping active, training for strength, and losing even 5% of body weight can really streamline your glycemic profile.
Someone was telling me about a theory she heard about weight gain and your pancreas, and how prolonged sitting and inactivity can affect your pancreas and leave you prone to gaining weight for no apparent reason, and that even if you got up and exercised at times, it wouldn’t do you very much good.

Isn’t this also the case with Dr. Atkins, of the low carbohydrate diet fame? He died at the age of 73 and had a history of arterial blockage, a heart attack, and coronary heart disease. I try to cut carbs where I can, because it does help keep the weight off. But it is possible his diet recommendations did him harm.

I cook with organs exactly once a year and that is Thanksgiving. The turkey giblets and heart go into what becomes my giblet turkey gravy. The turkey neck (not an organ, but still an unusual cut of meat for me) goes into the stock that becomes the soup.

What torments me to this day is the fact that millions of CHRISTIANS, even many “conservative” ones, got the damn “vaccine.” A missionary couple who are relatives of mine even got their CHILDREN (aged 11 down to 5!) injected with the gene jabs.
I tried to warn them, but they said that for the sake of our relationship, they requested that I not talk to them anymore about this topic.
They both have master’s degrees, are very, very intelligent, and in every other respect are admirable Christians. But I have lost my once sky-high respect for them, and I find it extremely challenging to forgive them for injecting their children. They would never, ever DELIBERATELY harm their children, but I still haven’t forgiven them for rejecting the information I sent them trying to warn them.
If Christians had united en masse, worldwide, against these infernal injections, things would look very different now.
As it is, I feel like my own trusted tribe is dangerously small. I have known for years that eventually very, very hard times would come. But I always thought that at least all we Christians would be standing together. After the last 3 years, though, I have the horrible feeling that when the chips are down, I may just be pretty much on my own. (I’m being dramatic, I have a handful of trusted people, but they’re all too few and far between.)
My only hope is that even people who got jabbed because they didn’t know any better at the time have now LEARNED THEIR LESSON, and will be allies when the next crisis hits, rather than unwitting collaborators with the enemy as they were during the last round. I bought one of those povid iodine nasal sprays, not to try to prevent covid, but because I wanted to see if it helped my chronic sinus issues.
It was right after I started using it, that I came down with the coof.
I’ve suffered from allergies all my life and could never breathe properly. From personal experience, I can recommend fluticasone nasal spray. It’s miraculous. I haven’t had covid yet.

I used a nebulizer with diluted food-grade hydrogen peroxide when I had Covid in September 2021. I had a very bad case, and the nebulizer with H2O2 worked wonders on my out-of-control coughing and my low oxygen-saturation levels. Every time I did the breathing treatment, it immediately ameliorated the coughing. I also noted improvement in blood-oxygen level.
I originally heard about nebulizing from a woman who’s had lifelong respiratory problems, and has always found miraculous relief with this treatment. She shared this information with me in early 2021, and I quickly bought a nebulizer and some food-grade H2O2 to have on hand for “just in case.” Several months later, when I came down with Covid — and came down HARD — I was sure glad I had those things on hand.

I’m the opposite of a germophobe. When the plandemic was announced I changed none of my habits, and even drank from a local fountain. People looked at me with horror.
Still here (w/nary a sniffle) to tell the tale. I also never stopped shaking hands with people, or going into town, into crowded shops, etc.
I envison Mary oding on vitamins and supplements. Perhaps even turning orange (like Trump).
Age and a strong immune system does it for me. I just get to feeling tired and cold for one evening and wake up feeling fine, having bested whatever bug it is.
The downside is that I’ve developed hayfever and a few other allergies over the years, and autoimmune disease.
I think maybe my robust immune system didn’t have enough to do, in modern life, and that’s why I developed autoimmune issues.
People with type A blood are naturally resistant to influenze viruses.
What about A +? Is that the same thing?
I don’t think plus or minus makes any difference. That’s just the Rh factor and poses a problem with blood transfusions. In women with a negative Rh factor, it causes problems. After the first pregnancy, they have difficulty carrying an Rh positive baby, though now they have an injection administered after delivery of the first baby to prevent this.

I’m pretty sure that the supposed Rh negativity in women is mostly or even entirely a myth. The story that the medical establishment tells you is that, if Dad is Rh positive, the baby will almost certainly be Rh positive, as Rh positivity is a dominant trait. Thus, the mother’s blood will attack the baby’s blood–but only if their blood mixes during birth, which would cause the mother’s blood to develop an immune response to Rh positive blood, which would then supposedly affect subsequent pregnancies.
I am Rh negative and my kids’ dad is Rh positive. I was told that I would require a Rhogam injection after giving birth to each child. I was concerned about this issue when I decided on home birth for my last three children, so I spoke with a midwife about it.
The midwife told me that Rh negativity is simply not an issue in natural home birth. In a natural birth, the mother’s blood does not mingle with the baby’s. She said that this possibility arises because of the brutality of the typical hospital birth. I had three kids at home and never had any issue.
Something else I should mention, because it annoys me, is that people seem to be under the impression that birth is a bloody process and that babies are born all bloody. This is absurd. There is very little bleeding involved in birth. What little there is is the result of tearing of tissues around the vaginal opening, and this doesn’t even necessarilly happen. In the hospital, doctors make an incision (episiotomy) to widen the vaginal opening to prevent tearing–tearing being harder to repair with stitches than one incision. The episiotomy is unnecessary, but will result in a little bleeding.
Babies are actually born perfectly clean–and usually looking rather surprised.

I had read that O blood types were more resistant to covid (if covid exists). In the same article it also added that type As are less resistant to covid. There is so much conflicting information out there! I’m type O and I am sure believing that I had a leg up on the averages led me to feel more confident. I said no to the vaxx, but I also refused the masks which were clearly a joke. I did follow a good vitamin regimen and I went through all the ridiculous hoops to get my hands on ivermectin, which I took. I did not use much hand sanitizer either. I drank more during the lockdowns, but ran more too.

A book I read years ago (Dream of Scipio) made the point that part of the collapse of the Roman empire was due to the fact that skills weren’t passed on to the future generations. People flat forgot how to do stuff.
I see this in my own family too. None of us will last longer than a week if the lights go out and Walmart closes. My grandparents were completely self sufficient and could grow food, raise livestock, cook, repair stuff, build stuff, etc. My parents could do many of these same things but not as efficiently, my generation — some skills, my kids — very few, and my grandkids can operate computers. Food is primarily take-out, any garden that was planted, died, the pampered dog lives like a sultan, — you get the idea. And we are by no means the only people that fit this description.
Indeed. My grandparents were all amazing with the skills they had. Not so much my parents, who were born during the depression but then grew up into young people in a land of plenty. My mom didn’t do any of the stuff my grandmothers did, such as canning, sewing, knitting, etc.
I have some tatting my paternal grandmother did in her “spare time” with raising 7 children during the depression, working in a steel mill, and all the chores in between. I was told lace making is now a lost art and is done primarily by machines.

I’ve picked up several examples of fine lacemaking at our local thrift store: two hand-crocheted lace tablecloths and a tatted doily, plus a few other such pieces. Many people still crochet, and you often see fine examples at craft fairs. About 10-12 years ago, I made a queen-size hand-crocheted bedspread for a daughter’s wedding gift, after which I vowed to never crochet again. It took a year to make, and the only reason I was able to do it was because I was going through a period of poor health at the time and couldn’t do much of anything else. I spent about three hours a day crocheting while watching “Breaking Bad”–all the way through, twice. (Plus some other things.)
I never learned to tat, myself. There are a lot of different techniques for making lace. I think some of them may have been lost or almost lost, such as pillow lace. (Sounds like a PITA.)
Machine-made lace is ugly, for the most part.
Quilting is also quite popular in this area, even with many younger people, but quilting is a rather expensive hobby. Many people also grow gardens and do a lot of canning. I think everyone I know has a NESCO electric canner, which makes canning a lot easier.
My mother-in-law, born in the 1920s included “canning leaves” as part of her girlhood play.

This is why inductive logic is so useful – can we infer things not from direct deductive evidence, but rather reverse the process and pose questions and reach conclusions based upon a broader thread of possibly related items/events?
Why would society need a broad based strata of doctors, engineers and other capable professionals if the actual intent is to no longer feed/support a large, energy intensive economy?
Gates, Musk, Branson and the rest really believe they can substitute technology for nature and perhaps, to some degree, they can. Hubris will be their downfall as the Greeks knew and modern man will find out. We can not create God and no matter how frequently they ignore unintended consequences, they’ll pursue the dream of complete control.

Back in 2020 I met with a secret group of covid skeptics. Unfortunately, the most dominant member was a Qanon believer who was quite sure that the White Hats were coming to save us all.
My friend who had invited me asked me afterward how long I thought it would take after the breakdown for us to be saved.

So I never got invited to another meeting.
The Qanons are def a breed unto themselves. I also had a couple of friends who went that direction, and neither are still friends, because they got so thoroughly culted it was like being around moonies. And they go really down some crazy rabbit holes. There might be some truth in a lot of the stuff they knew about (such as human trafficking), but they went way off the mark with the white hat stuff, and “mirroring” time travel technology, and also believing that we will all be farmed/food for aliens who are controlling the elites, etc.

A friend of mine got his first covid shot in Mexico. Then on top of that, came to the states and got the series. Then 2 boosters. Heart issues arose somewhere in that timeframe. Then diagnosed with multiple myoloma, and died 6 weeks later.

I don’t fear death. One thing I notice is that there is a deep inherent fear of death by people. Just reading Bullitt’s post above tells me that even at his age of 76 there is a fear of death. Look, people, we all get old and as we age our bodies fall into a state of disrepair and eventually they stop working. It’s natural. It’s natures process of replacing the old and the sick with new and healthy. These drug manufacturers prey upon this fear of dying and market their drugs to the older segments of our populations.
We need to accept that we are temporary travelers on this big blue marble. We are here for a short time, live a little, die and then we are gone, never to be seen or heard from again.
If one believes in God there is hope for an afterlife and some form of an eternal perspective. This gives hope and relaxes that fear of death. However, if one does not believe in God then death has a certain finality of it that is terrifying to its very core.
I often wonder how much the lack of belief in God and the preying upon the inherent fear of death people possess has played into the eagerness of billions to inject untested poisons into their bodies to “save them.”

It is our obligation to die within old age. At 77 years old, I have almost no obligations. I live in a very remote area with two small dogs. Wife and son died over the last few years, no other close relatives, and neighbors (two), live each at least 3/4 of a mile distant.
I keep a large bowl of dry dog food and an automatic watering device available at all times in the event of my keeling over and leaving the dogs without resources. I have no other obligations.
Not having obligations provides peace of mind.
Is this not better than whatever the humans ever gave you?

I’m younger than you, not by a whole lot. Living in a rural area but more densely populated than your area. I’m guessing you’re occupied, maybe running a farm? Staying occupied makes all things better. And if not vaxxed, you can enjoy your occupation a long time. I’m not vaxxed, occupied, and my outlook and health are better for it. I, too, have two dogs and they’re good companionship. They always laugh at my jokes, tell me I’m the best thing since hamburger was invented, always agree with my politics.

I’ve never said I had no fears. I have only said I do not fear death. I have lots of fears. I fear tremendously the society we are building. I fear tremendously not being able to provide for my family. I fear the future. I fear getting cancer so I didn’t get the vaccine. I fear grasshoppers and meeting a bear in the wild. I fear many things. That’s why I enjoy JHKs writings because amidst the croakings of doom in Jim’s writings there is always a little bit of hope that better days are coming, that justice will be served and good will ultimately win the war.
The fact is I love my extended family members and I refuse to get into an argument with them over the merits of being vaccinated verses being unvaccinated. To me it is far better to keep my loved ones closer to me than to separate those relationships over something like politics or vaccines. It’s far easier to just say I had the J&J vaccine and be done with the discussion, move on to talking about the kids, than getting into a big old argumentative debate over a vaccine that ends up with hurt feelings and severed relationships.

My brother went from good health except for aches and pains from his athletic days, to “frail” to needing hospitalization, to dying from an infection most people fight off with treatment, within two years.

You are correct. When I was in medical school in the 1980s, about three in four MDs was in solo practice or a small group partnership. By the time I was out of two residencies and a fellowship, that number was one in 10 in solo or small group practice!! The rest had moved to large corporate groups of 30-100 MDs or hospital groups. These 9 in 10 drew a paycheck, punched a clock, told when to work and what to do, and were managed, whether they knew it or not, by MBA managers. They had become ‘utilities’ managed by market forces and not the Hippocratic oath or any other ethical guideline. Money talks and bullshit walks. Do what you’re told or lose your paycheck and your bonus (and many have signed agreements not to practice within 100 miles of their current site if they left or were fired, providing another vector to force ‘do what you’re told.’ ) Very sad, and dangerous to the public.

My primary point(s) from a few months ago was that the rate of increase in the death rate IS statistically significant, hence the scrambling at various insurance companies with large numbers of life insurance policies on their books. The insurance companies are running into situations they never even modeled; that’s how off the charts the increase in the death rate is.
The number of excess deaths however is relatively small and therefore not noticeable by the general public.
Why the disconnect? Well, the US death rate is pretty low. The CDC (ha!) currently has it at 1,043.8 deaths per 100,000 population. This is just over 1%. So if the rate goes up 40%, it’s now 1.4%. So if 3.5 million people typically die per year in the US, the higher rate means 4.9 million people are now dying per year. Spread over 365 days in a year and over the humongous land mass that is the United States, this is extremely hard to notice unless you work in a field related to death (pathology, funeral home director, medical examiner, insurance actuary, insurance executive, paramedic, casket manufacturers, hospital administrator, etc) The general public does not notice this kind of jump in the number of deaths in a year.
I was trying to tackle the disconnect between a bunch of actuaries and funeral directors hopping up and down with panic about the numbers and the string cheese coming out of dead people’s arteries with the obliviousness of the general public.

The Vaxx plus virus situation is the accumulation of s proteins in the blood. The virus of course makes the s protein count go up. Just finished Facing Reality by Charles Murray, a very sobering look at the statistics behind the contention that different races have different levels of cognitive ability (usually measured as IQ) as well as different rates of violence. Some familiarity with statistics is helpful with this read, although it is not a long book.
After explaining the statistics behind his research he walks through the unavoidable consequences of affirmative action from dumbing down curriculums to drop out rates at colleges to underperformance in professions from doctor to plumber, all by race.
His closing is a kum-ba-yah speech that I found laughable considering what he’d just spent seven chapters explaining to the reader.
People like him aren’t for Whites. He only values intelligence – and even then has to sugar coat it as you mention.

The fact that India had gone over a year without mass deaths, and then suddenly developed a new variant that spread all over the world?
No one wondered how that happened.
And then in the fall of 2021 they discovered a “new” variant in South Africa.
They announced it on a Thursday, telling us that if it turned out to be serious, they would name it.
They named it the next day- Omicron
They found it in the USA the next day, Saturday, and by the next week they told us it had spread all over the country.
Really? Really? How? How does a new respiratory virus spring up in South Africa (and the genome was so different then every other variant that they had to come up with a tall tale about an AIDS patient who incubated it for a year and a half, and it supposedly mutated in his body), and then spread all over the US (a very large and spread out country) in a week?
Do I believe it was because they vaccinated in a pandemic?

I remain committed to the simple truth that opened my eyes to Covid. In January of 2020 I had 3 patients tell me that they had just had the worst flu they had ever had. Two went to the hospital and two had lost taste and smell. Another had been fighting fatigue for a month. This is in Alabama before the first documented case in March of 2020.
There was a real disease. In Feb of 2020 it was known to be highly likely that it was associated with virus research in Wuhan. Listening to our public health leaders claim it was naturally occurring was mind-blowing. When someone lies about the obvious the question becomes, what else are they lying about?
My daughter was in the Pfizer trial as a graduate student at UAB in B’ham. She was offered the vaccine when she was “unblinded” in March of 2021. She knew she had gotten the placebo and despite my protestations that she continue to be a negative control, she took the advice of the researchers and did the series. She was laid low for a day but has had no issues since. I cannot speak to her fertility but she is unmarried and has not provided a grandchild.
I took the Pfizer mRNA in January of 2021 as a HCW. No boosters. I am over 70 yo and have had no problems. I just finished 5, week long bicycle tours in Europe, both Germany and France and am in good health. Neither having the disease (Covid) in June of 2022 or the vaccine has affected me as far as I can tell. Last year we had to wear masks on the Munich subway, this year only 1/1000 people were wearing a mask in either France or Germany.
Right now, we are currently in the phase of “laying low” because there is nothing useful for the mainstream media to say as they wait for controversy to “blow over”. I am hyper-vigilant when things are quiet because I know there is someone out there who is not through with us yet.
On Sunday July 2nd, I read in my NY Times that “France was on fire”. I happened to be in Paris and walked from the Latin Quarter to the Etoile through the Louvre and Tuileries down to the Eiffel Tower and back to Montparnasse. Bunch of tourists and a large native African parade on the Champs Elyse. No obvious riots. Beautiful day. I am sure there was someone unhappy somewhere but I didn’t see anything. I asked a waiter what he thought of Macron and he suggested an overmatched politician that wanted to do the right thing but had learned it was impossible.

Back at the peak of the hysteria I’d gone to Home Depot with a much younger black friend of mine who had a landscaping business. I was needing to purchase a chainsaw and he needed to get some mower blades and other supplies for his business. When we pulled into a parking space we got into an argument and I told him I was in a hurry and wasn’t about to wait in the heat in the stupid long line they had set up outside the store entrance masking everybody and spacing customers 6 feet apart. I was arguing that I knew of another store on the other side of town that was locally owned and didn’t have the covid bs going on with their customers. He finally shut me up and told me – listen – I’ve got this, just follow me! This was also during the period of time when the BLM rioting was at its peak. My friend was very confident and told me he’d done this before. He was a weight lifter and honest to God looked almost exactly like a clone of Mr. T. It was a hot day and he was dressed more for the gym than for work.
So I tagged along behind him and he walked right on around the baricades, signs, and employees at the entrance. The Home Depot staff glared at him but didn’t say a word, he put a badass and intimidating look on his face and I was following right behind him, indicating to everyone in authority – “I’m with him!”
We walked right on over to the mower and saw section, got our stuff and got the hell out of there. Nobody dared to say a word to us. If I’d tried that stunt by myself I’d have gotten nowhere or even kicked out of the place.

My favorite illogical protocol was the requirement of walking through a restaurant with your mask on. Then once you were seated and water had been served to your table, you could take your mask off. I drove my husband nuts during those months because I would go to the bathroom during the seating process then I would bee-line it to our table (maskless of course) once he was seated.
It’s a deadly risk to walk through a restaurant without the face diaper doncha know? But once you are seated with water at your table, its completely safe to be maskless. And people followed this!
I also hated that servers were masked while patrons ate their dinner maskless. Very classist.

Well, this may explain the massive Refrigeration Facility just built in the next town over, the largest structure constructed in the area since the (now closed) GM plant in Bristol went in in the 1950s. Karl provided a kind of mini-course in virology on a continual–almost daily–basis, starting in early 2020. He’s also good at putting his hands on the relevant data and analyzing it and explaining what it means.
I started following the Market Ticker a few years before the 2008 real-estate bubble burst. At that time, Karl was providing a really in-depth education on financial stuff–which he continued to do for YEARS. I do have to confess that I still don’t understand half of the financial stuff, even after reading about it for all those years.
Karl is a great man. Seriously. I have been known to quibble about both his writing and his rather uneven temperament–and the fact that most of the people commenting there seem to be groupies (because he bans everybody who’s not). But the guy is brilliant and he’s done a huge service.
Oh, and by the way, JHK deserves the same praise. He brings us information that I would have no idea how to access, along with keen insights as to what all that stuff means. I know two people not overweight, mildly athletic, good heart / lung function prior to their coercion into the experimental mRNA immunization, who now have heart disease. One guy used the stairs instead of the elevator- went up in the morning, no problem. At lunch he couldn’t walk down the stairs. Went to the hospital, had to get emergency triple bypass surgery. In both people the experimental genetic treatment failed in that they contracted covid. The other guy just had a bad ECG and echocardiogram. No treatment until his symptoms get worse. After this, what does it mean when your doctor tells you a treatment is “safe and effective”?

I understand there’s archeological evidence of peaceful societies lasting thousands of years – until a wave of warlike tribes wiped them out in a relatively short time. Middle East, the Caucasus, Europe.

I’d have to do some digging through some old books to find the examples you’ve mentioned, but I think the main ones would have been the agricultural societies that archaelogists call “Old Europe,” which (if I remember right) was along the rivers of what is now Ukraine. Also maybe some in what is now Eastern Europe.
These show every evidence of having been very prosperous, and indications are that they were matriarchal–though I guess the only evidence of that is that female “fertility goddess” figurines adorned every household.
Once again, if I remember right, they got along fine with the nomadic hunter-gatherers and may have intermarried with them. (I think this was before hunter-gatherers became nomadic or semi-sedentary herdsman, as this transformation did not take place until after the invention of the wheel.)
However, these peaceful societies were in fact later wiped out by the nomadic hunter-gatherers, and it is hypothesized that this occurred because of a long-term change in climate that made resources scarce for both the agricultural societies and the hunter-gatherers.
This era of history is covered in the book, “The Horse, the Wheel, and Language,” which is a great, great book on Indo-European pre-history. The author seems to believe that these societies became patriarchal when many of them became nomadic or semi-sedentary pastoralists. This was because every clan’s herd required a large grazing area, and these territories had to be defended through alliances among male members of the group, who were prepared to fight for their territory. It was these ancient pastoralists who left kurgans (tombs) all over the flippin’ place, from Eastern Europe and across most of Russia. Many have been robbed, as these sites often featured rich grave goods.

The natural progression of viruses is to become less deadly and more contagious over time. The reason is simple: viruses that quickly kill many of their hosts spread less rapidly than those that don’t kill their hosts. Left to its own evolution, COVID would most likely become less and less deadly even as it infects more of the population–pretty much what has happened. The real danger is evil people artificially producing a deadly virus through genetic modification, etc. and unleashing it on the population. I have no doubt that COVID19 was manufactured in the Wuhan Lab–the only question is whether its release was accidental or intentional. No matter now–the evil people who developed it have seen how effective it is in unraveling the economy, sociology, and economies of even the richest, most sophisticated countries. The temptation is just too great for such evil people to want to do it again.

I have no skin in the game. I’ve had to change my mind about a lot of things over the last 2 years. But I’m waiting for proof there was no virus. When I get it, I’ll be happy to concede that there was/is no virus. Dr Chetty, who lost no patients at all, described the course of the disease: (1) viral replication till about day 5, (2) for some people, spike inflammation from day 8.
I’ve never heard of anyone with flu getting sudden inflammation specifically on day 8 of their illness.
And I don’t think it’s a terrible virus. From doctors’ testimony and statistics so far, it’s on a par with flu, but seems to be different from flu.
Hydroxychloroquine is a useful medicine. It won a Nobel Prize. I am for its use in any application where it is deemed useful.
I think the request is rather basic, and one that any human who lives a life based in truth ought to ask: Why do we only have a computer model? Where is the isolate? Why is the only test in use a test that cannot show whether one has the illness it is testing for? If there is no isolate, what would any test (much less the useless PCR) test for?

That’s in part why I still suspect that ‘SoftStarLight’ is a sockpuppet of yours, or out of the same office.
If one was going to engage in ‘women-critical discourse’ (‘women-bashing’) for example, and every single woman in a forum responds negatively to it– as it is expected– it would seem to make (perverse) sense that one might create a ‘woman’ who agreed with them.
So, it’s not just a ‘lol’ tucked in at the end of a comment for example, but something more cumulative.
Of course the US and maybe other government agendas appear to be interested at this point in assorted levels of social divisiveness, so your ostensible position here seems to fit right in.
