Welcome to the season of chaos, sponsored by the Party of Chaos, America’s Democratic Party, owner and operator of the shadowy “Joe Biden” regime, dedicated to wrecking what’s left of the country — and the rest of Western Civ with it. Do you think I exaggerate? Consider for a moment that your personal ruin — the loss of your freedoms, your livelihoods, and your posterity — is at stake behind the more general demolition of our society.

We are barreling into an election that will determine the composition of Congress. There is much chatter about whether this election will be allowed to happen. Signs and portents point to a grievous loss of power for the Party of Chaos. Power is all they care about — certainly not the public interest or the common good — and a particular sort of power: the power to coerce, persecute, and punish.

It is obvious in everything they do, from the FBI swat-team home invasions of select opponents and the gross mistreatment of the January 6 defendants, to the craven censoring of public speech, to the imposition of medical tyranny and the deadly fraud of Covid shots, to the degenerate insults of their race-and-gender hustles, to their assault on the value of our money, to their sabotage of the oil-and-gas industries, to their treasonous abandonment of border control, to the deliberate perversion of policing and public order, to their promulgation of a faithless and unnecessary war, sharply against our national interests, in faraway Ukraine.

Adults understand that politics is a crooked business, but through the whole of US history until now filters existed in the public arena that allowed for enough sorting out of truth from untruth to enable the formation of a reality-based consensus — which, in turn, allowed daily life to operate coherently. The Party of Chaos has thrown the kill-switch on that crucial function by corrupting the news business and subverting the new social media. The result is a public culture of pervasive and immersive lying, and a stupendous institutional failure of the courts to correct any of that behavior.

Case-in-point: the John Durham Special Counsel Investigation on the origin of the RussiaGate fraud. It now apparently terminates in the prosecution of the tiniest minnow (Igor Danchenko) in that vast inland sea of corruption. Some of the figures who carried out the perfidious seditions of RussiaGate are still employed in the Department of Justice and the FBI, and to this day are active in the continued cover-up of the crimes committed to overthrow President Trump, notably: Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta, DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and others.

Mr. Durham is supposedly among the highest officers of the federal courts charged with enforcing a very particular region of criminality. His staff must be marinated in evidence of the RussiaGate misdeeds — reams of which have been independently documented in the public record, ranging from (just for example) the nefarious activities of figures like Nellie Ohr, wife of DOJ higher-up Bruce Ohr, working as go-between with Christopher Steele and the FBI, to the spectacular failures of Judge James Boasberg and his FISA court, not to mention the well-known machinations of Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Andrew McCabe, Rod Rosenstein, Dana Boente, James Baker, Andrew Weissmann, Jeannie Rhee, Aaron Zebley, Brandon Van Grack, Robert Mueller, and other top officials who worked sedulously against the public interest. All these remain apparently off-the-hook for their sketchy activities.

How did that happen? If the Party of Chaos loses control of its Congressional majority, Mr. Durham may have to answer that question. And until he does, American justice will remain a deeply broken institution that citizens can’t trust. In that light, how is our country any better than the most overt petty despotisms around the world? How does it deserve the citizens’ respect or even compliance?

The stakes in the midterm elections are huge for the Party of Chaos, and its worker bees may be capable of any duplicity to throw it off the rails. In my soon-to-drop next podcast, blogger Tom Luongo (of Gold, Goats, and Guns) introduces a surprising twist: the election takes place, he says, but the Party of Chaos finds a way to delay the announcement of the results via procedural shenanigans that go on for weeks after November 8, leaving the country in a state of anxious limbo. What an idea! Such a strategy would wreck the last shred of public trust in elections without having to cancel, postpone, or overtly overthrow the process. It would also invite just the sort of public protest that the Party of Chaos can spin into another insurrection narrative.

I’m strangely confident that there is a hidden column of people that love this country who will not allow this final insulting scam to succeed. Its appearance among us will shock and amaze the multitudes. The rule of the Woke Jacobin maniacs will end. And even though we’ll have to live through the wreckage they brought about, we’ll move about this strange new landscape of hardship in the light of reality-made-visible, seeing clearly what has happened and knowing what we must do to revive our country.

Today is October 7th, and 70 years ago today in 1952 Vladimir Putin was born. Happy Birthday President Putin!!! Here’s wishing you the happiest and healthiest of birthdays, from everyone here at Clusterfuck Nation. May the world’s greatest and most noble leader continue to live on in our hearts and minds through this birthday and many more. Live long and remain prosperous! Go large and celebrate the Big 70 in style this year!!!

    • shotho October 7, 2022 at 10:03 am #

Putin is certainly more competent than our ‘leader’, but I wouldn’t glorify him just yet.

      • Woodchuck October 7, 2022 at 10:17 am #

Whether or not y’all want to glorify him isn’t that important. It is very obvious however that he is one of the only few adults in the room of “world leaders”. He is also one of the persons in charge of our future and who in the end will be making the major decisions.

Very likely, he and the rest of Russia fear us in the same way that one would be *very* fearful of a retarded and handicaped child showing up at a party with a loaded shotgun, thinking it to be a toy. The adults will be taking that firearm away from the child very carefully, slowly, and yet very firmly. No other options exist. Don’t make any sudden moves and think about each step.

I recently had a rude shock to my view of the world. LOL Like most Americans I’ve long held the image of life in Russia as one of grandmothers living in their free state owned Soviet era cement apartment blocks and cultivating their tiny gardens along railroad sides. I came across an hour long video by a European journalist who’s MO is to live in a city for two months while filming street scenes and interviewing random people. Among the subjects were Moscow, New York, St. Petersburg and Los Angeles.

Upon arriving in Moscow one of his first questions was “Where are your homeless people?” The common response was confusion, as if there was no word in the language for the concept. People took him to mean poor people, and suggested that there were outlying neighborhoods where such people could be found.

The second shock was the profusion of $250,000 Mercedes Maybach sedans on the streets. Capped off by the vision of four of them waiting in line for a hamburger at the one McDonald’s in the entire city. It seems that newly rich Russian millionaires and billionaires like to flaunt their wealth. In contrast, the equally large pool of billionaires in New York tend to favor beat up Fords on the occasions they descend to the streets to minimize the chance of being car-jacked. I personally know of one family of the Seattle elite who bought Old Boeing Field so they would have a secure place to fly their private jets from. When they visit their Sun Valley compound they fly a pilot out to the airport to have their Bell Jet Ranger warmed up ready to fly them the 8 miles to their Sun Valley estates to minimize the danger of being kidnapped and held for ransom which is their greatest fear.

Moscow itself destroys the image of a dull grey city being bled to death to finance imperial dreams. It is immense and sprawling, almost on the LA model except most buildings are four stories high. The streets are wide and uncrowded, and the sidewalks clean in radical contrast to downtown LA and San Francisco where you have to dodge piles of excrement and used needles. People walk the streets at midnight with little fear of mugging (at least in the neighborhoods the interviewer visited.) They are well dressed and fairly fashionable. No hoodies, face tatoos and shambling needle freaks. In short, Moscow looks like a middle class, well off city with a veneer of the ultra wealthy not afraid to flaunt their wealth.

Could it be that the image of a Russian army fleeing Ukraine in dis-array in the face of superior American armaments is equally fraudulent?

          • gusgus2021 October 7, 2022 at 11:43 am #

I think in many regards even in the 60s Russian equipment wasn’t as backwards as claimed, I know the SA200 missile systems where pretty effective ,I have heard the newest version is even better .

          • Walter B October 7, 2022 at 12:18 pm #

Of course it is Thor, our media employs fear and distraction to keep our population looking away from our own shitty mess (that they helped to create) by fabricating boogie men and projecting their own crimes upon them. Americans may have a totally false image of who we are as a nation and how “good” we may be and have it, but the rest of the world knows damn well that we are global bullies with bad attitudes.

Our everyone is the center of their own universe mentality straight out of “Screwtape Gives A Toast”, and our replacement of faith in a higher authority with lust for a higher income has demented so many of us that I for one cannot see enough people waking the fuck up before the hammer falls upon us to stop it.

          • Paula D October 7, 2022 at 12:36 pm #

”Could it be that the image of a Russian army fleeing Ukraine in dis-array in the face of superior American armaments is equally fraudulent”

Yep, it could. Reread JHK’s article. We live in Fraudulent Land, where a lying press creates its own reality and the institutions of the law are used against political opponents instead of criminals.
And it turns out that our trillion dollar/year military budget doesn’t actually create enough weapons of mass destruction to last through a 6 month proxy war.

Where does that money go? Graft, corruption and bribes, no doubt.

          • C.O.Jones October 7, 2022 at 12:58 pm #

I spent a week in Russia a few years ago and at no time was I afraid for my safety. I found the people to be intelligent but not overly friendly. There were Lamborghinis parked at the curb at several places and people hustling and bustling to get to work like any other developed country.

One of the tenets of the communist manifesto is a graduated income tax – the more you make, the higher percentage you pay – just like here in the “free” west.

Guess what the income tax rate is in Russia. Go ahead, guess. If you said a flat 10%, you’re correct.

I’m not saying Russia is perfect. I’m saying it was an eye-opening experience to visit the country.

This post topic is key for understanding the full impact of the US sabotage of the Nordstream i and II pipelines. It got lost in the Internet Ether, so here is a condensed version.

The German public is amazingly complacent in the face of having their energy lifeline being cut off by American sabotage. They have been completely divorced from Russian energy anyway, so what is the difference?

—“German natural gas storage is 90% full already. All that is needed is to turn the thermostats down a couple of degrees until the flood of American LNG starts arriving”.

            They have been lied to.

—Gas doesn’t just flow through a pipe if you pour it in one end. It must be pressured along regular intervals.
—LNG cant be transported without LNG tankers and loaded and unloaded except at specialized facilities that are already nearly at full capacity. And take years or decades to plan and build.
—Reserves are only reserves if you can access them.
—In order to access reserves stored underground or in tanks you must have an inflow of new gas from pipelines and wells to push it out. There is no alternative.
—The entire NG delivery system for the European continent was designed around Russian wells and pipelines. It is intended to moderate the demand between summer and winter, and nothing more.
—Without new flows from Russia, European reserves are worthless. At best only 15% can ever be recovered.

            You have been lied to.

It seems unlikely that the Eurocrat decision makers are not capable of understanding seventh grade physics. The managers of the Biden Hologram not so! They can believe anything without any reference to fact or morality which enabled them to bomb the remaining lifeline to Germany.

If you are German best to buy a chain saw in preparation for raping your national treasure, the Black Forest.

          • ThorsHammer October 8, 2022 at 11:44 am #

Looks like nobody among the cadre of Clusterfuck commenters understood the significance of Germany not really having the NG “reserves” that they are relying on to get them through the winter. Thinking that turning the thermostats down a few degrees will suffice is madness.

Why do I bother posting when my time would be better spent selling the rest of my possessions and moving south to a place outside of the northern hemisphere WWIII radiation jet stream, with a year round climate for growing vegetables and no need to heat my house?

I think a lot of CFNers get it.

Speaking for myself, I spend too much time on-line looking at (alternative) new sites/commentary in places like this, because I feel they are more truthful.

Some of these places, I have discovered thru commenters here at CFN, such as yourself.

            Sometimes I skim things…

I thought I had come across your comment that the gas reserves figure is meaningless if there is no new gas coming in to replace gas going out. You did a better job of saying it.

In short, saying “Germans, our gas storage facilities are 90% full” may be factually correct, but it is not truth, since that 90% cannot actually be used if no new gas comes in to push it out.

I asked a real expert on LNG (‘Real expert means they are paid a lot of money and deal with this) and was told there is no way LNG can replace gas.

Not every CFNer chooses to comment. I don’t comment all the time, I don’t read every comment.

But I do read many. Yours are good. Keep them flowing, my friend!

“—Gas doesn’t just flow through a pipe if you pour it in one end. It must be pressured along regular intervals.”

Some where else. You state it more succinctly.

I’m not an expert, but I think you are correct. Having the gas re

I agree. I wonder if cowbell has a wall sized poster of the shirtless Putin on horseback? LOL

        • Woodchuck October 7, 2022 at 10:31 am #

Wall sized Putin posters are very expensive and hard to find these days. Why not instead have some Putin wallpaper for your Windows starting screen? There are many photos out there of Putin doing guy things. Like riding Harleys and big Ural motorcycles with the Russian Night Wolves outlaw motorcycle gang. And the shirtless pic on horseback is a very good image and easy to find. There are also pics of him flying the worlds largest and fastest strategic mach 2 bomber. He’s flying in the copilot seat, and it seems he does have a pilot’s license as well as a motorcycle license. Guys and gals more interested in Putin’s sensitive and academic side may instead be more interested in seeing him playing the piano or speaking fluently in English. He can speak English better than our own president can.

          • hmuller October 7, 2022 at 10:48 am #

Very impressive. He should have his own Saturday morning cartoon show. “Putin & Friends”. He could save the world and start a new BRICS financial system. Meanwhile, we see Biden sleeping and drooling on his desk.

          • Beryl of Oyl October 7, 2022 at 10:51 am #

There is the video of Putin singing Blueberry Hill. Odd, Hollywood was fawning over him back then.

Speaking of Hollywood, I saw somewhere an article about Hollywood making millions off of pushing the vaxx.

Many of us suspected that the celebrities reciting the “I’m thankful for the vaxx even though I got covid” prayer were being paid.

A $600 check for not working doesn’t cut it, with their lifestyles.

Here’s a nice picture of Putin with a puppy, I hope it posts:

          • zekesdad October 7, 2022 at 11:08 am #

I wonder if there’s a poster of Putin standing over a map deciding which apartment buildings and schools to shell next. Sort of like the photos of Hitler plotting his moves against the free world. Or maybe there’s one of the mass graves the Russians left behind as they retreated.

          • abbybwood October 7, 2022 at 11:56 am #

            Putin is also a lawyer.

Which is why he created the “Special Military Operation” to de-militarize and de-Nazify” Ukraine. Especially after eight years and 15,000 Russian speakers being killed in Donbas by the Ukraine Azovs and Germany, France, Ukraine and the US ignoring the Minsk Accords.

I am reading that even after the four Eastern Donbas regions voted to join Russia and after the partial mobilization of 350,000 Russian reservists, that Putin intends to keep his response to the continued Ukrainian shelling of these four areas to the SMO.

My thinking is that the Russians did not tuck their tails in and run from some of these Donbas areas, they retreated rather than lose men and equipment, unlike the Ukrainian military (guided by Zelensky, NATO and The Pentagon/CIA), where they are losing thousands of men and tons of equipment.

It will be easier for Putin and his military to do a final dispatch of these Ukraine men with their Nazi brethren if they are all first drawn close to Donbas (now Russian territory) for their useless “counter-offensives” where they “win” kms. of useless flatlands and small villages.

The rains are now turning the region into a muddy, boggy, gray and colder landscape.

Perhaps Putin will wait until November when the ground freezes to make his final move?

            Happy Birthday Mr. Putin!

Check out The Duran, Brian Berletic at New Atlas, Gonzalo Lira’s Roundtables on Rumble and Andre Martyanov for in-depth geo-political/economic analysis on the situation.

          • Woodchuck October 7, 2022 at 12:02 pm #

Oyl says there’s a video out there of Putin singing “Blueberry Hill”. No way I was not going to check this out, and it’s there!

I’ve an idea of how this conflict between the US and Russia could be solved. Instead of everyone getting sucked into a nuclear war, why not have this dispute settled on the most popular tv show happening at the moment – on “The Voice” tv show!

Our president Biden and Putin will compete in an international singing contest, and the entire planet gets to vote for the winner, just as things routinely go on The Voice. The electronic infrastructure for voting could be changed in time to allow voting on “The Voice” from other countries. Let’s do things the democratic way, let the people speak!

Putin will be handicapped in that our president won’t be required to sing songs in Russian, yet Putin must sing in English. If Biden is too shy to show up, then the UN must step in and shame either Mr. Obama or Mr. Trump into coming out of retirement for a few days and be the singer representing us. If these guys are too bashful to give it a try, then we’ll have to go on down the line, starting from the very top of the pyramid of power until a singer can be found willing to save America.

Maybe one of our female leaders could represent us and go to battle with Mr. Putin. Maybe Michelle, Hillary, or Ms. Harris could step up to the plate for us? I’m sure the makeup and clothing crews on The Voice could conjure a fantastic outfit for one of these ladies to wear and make her look at least ten years younger.

Think of all the lives hanging in the balance if this conflict involving Ukraine could be settled peacefully and yet in a contest that will leave everyone holding their breath. There’s gotta be some competition involved to make it interesting.

          • Beryl of Oyl October 7, 2022 at 1:17 pm #

Chuck, have you seen the video of Tulsi getting battle-ready?

She’s at her fighting weight, that’s for sure.

            @zekesdad

Do you mean the apartment buildings & schools the AFU & Azov Battalion Nazi’s were hiding in, using civilians and children as human shields?

About the mass graves, do you mean bodies that the Russians buried after giving the Ukies a corridor of safe passage to retrieve and bury their dead, but refused to do so?

            Just curious.

          To ThorsHammer

Please do not get too frustrated with this lot here – they are mostly Americans and most of them get very easily distracted; that, combined with the attention span of an aquarium fish. Cannot blame them – they have been exposed to such info mindfuckery environment from the moment they are born. But, to be fair, I am also discovering quite a few commenters here that are most definitely are using their God given brains! I think lots of them are starting to look for actual facts and refusing to swallow any more of the stinking pigswill from the so-called MSM. I mean, one has to have their brains removed to believe ANYTHING they will hear on the likes of CNN, MSNBC and the rest.. but for long enough they had no other sources.
JHK has been doing a stellar job lately by providing a factual, relevant and important information that is not just USA, USA, but giving them a much needed wider and bigger picture of the current global geopolitics. And they are getting it!
Persevere my friend. It’s all good and timely. We will win! : )

From all I can gather, Vlad Putin certainly is what we in America definitely lacks, a strong leader with character, morality, and the ability to think and to speak. My German Grandmother used to warn, “Never trust the Russians”, which while true, certainly needs to be applied equally to the Germans any clearly to the assclowns that rule America today. Jackass & Dumbo how appropriate.

        Your grandmothers told you that?

No wonder Germans of today are willing to freeze to death without food or jobs just because their rulers tell them they are sticking it to Russians.

As they lie there gasping their last breaths, (breaths visible in the cold), they tell themselves “At least Russians are suffering more, so I die happy”.

        • Walter B October 7, 2022 at 1:37 pm #

And being the foolish rule followers that they are, the Germans even bought into the line of crap that the Austrian mass-murderer Hitler foisted upon them.

Strange, and the information wasn’t made available to the public until the British banking records were digitized

The Jews claimed six million dead after WW1 too, but it didn’t fly. Evidently, the number has some Kabbalistic importance to them and it’s crucial to get the world to accept it.

          • hmuller October 9, 2022 at 10:50 am #

David Duke wrote in his autobio book that he calculates the number of executed Jews at 1.25 million. And that’s not counting all the other categories of people systematically put to death by the Nazi’s.

I’d call that a nasty bit of work, even if the 6 million number is exaggerated.

If history repeats, it will be the Greens executing those who exceed their carbon credit allotment, or get caught without a mask or lacking vaccination papers.

And they’ll be feeling the tingle of self-righteousness the whole time.

The Allies blew the bridges going to the camps. The inmates starved (like the rest of Germany) and succumbed to diseases endemic in large populations confined in close quarters.

And how many did they kill with their “Russian” revolution?

          • Jarek October 9, 2022 at 1:16 pm #

We are truly in luck that Putin is president of Russia at this time.

As he said in his speech, Russia is cognizant of the fact that the US and UK are run by batshit crazy psychopaths who would rather blow up the world than give up their looting, but he is guided by the fact that cooler heads must prevail. (I paraphrase, lol).

I just pulled up his astrology chart. Moon in Gemini, Scorpio rising. I am not in enough of a reflective mood to pull out my astrology books and delve into his personality and transits.

One interesting thing that stands out is that transiting Saturn is hovering on his 4th house cusp (Imum Coeli, or Midnight Point). This means that Saturn is about to emerge from his Obscure Sector, where it has been for the past seven years or so.

Saturn’s transit of the Obscure Sector is a difficult seven-year period in a person’s life. I think the best way to explain it is that it begins with a “loss of self” when Saturn contacts the ascendant, followed by a seven-year process of re-creating oneself in radically different circumstances. (You could say it’s like the period during which the pupa is in the crysalis.) Saturn’s contact with the 4th House Cusp is the “emergence”: the transformation is complete, and the new person, radically changed from who they were seven years before, begins a new, active life cycle.

People are very vulnerable when Saturn is transiting the Obscure Sector, and this is normally a period when success is elusive and setbacks are particularly punishing. (This period has been liked to the proverbial “seven years bad luck.”)

Anyway, it is interesting that Putin should have enjoyed so high a position when under this transit.

Back when Trump was running against Hillary, I did both their charts. They were both under such shitty transits that I didn’t see how either one of them could win. Trump was under a transit of Saturn opposite his natal Sun. It doesn’t get much worse than that. (All you Leos out there have been under that transit for awhile now, like a year or so.) Hillary’s Saturn was transiting her Obscure Sector–a very bad time to try to win at anything. But, as I noticed later, Saturn was transiting Trump’s progressed Midheaven. Now there’s a winning transit! But you don’t see it unless you look at progressions.

You can create a person’s astrology chart online. You input the birth data, and the website kicks out a chart. (In the old days, you had to do this with a paper and pencil.)

            @ Jarek:

As a Libra, he probably needs that Scorpio rising. Most of the Librans I’ve known have been “Sweet Alice” types: “Wept with delight when you gave her a smile and trembled with fear at your frown.” Well–not that bad, but very, very sweet people.

Here’s a little of the Sun/Moon profile from one of my books: Basically, Putin has tremendous powers of expression in speech, great ability to command an audience and an acute sense of what the public wants. The book says he is highly romantic and sentimental, has a charming personality that wins “a good share of adulation and the world’s goods.”

In a way, he sounds quintessentially Russian: sensitive, idealistic poet with a moody streak. Hopefully not of the Strelnikov type.

I’m actually not very good at astrology. Either that, or people are just unpredictable and you can never know how they’ll respond to a transit.

I’ve been under a Mars opposition to my Sun, Jupiter, and Mercury. It has made me a little irritable. My son-in-law’s Sun is opposite mine, so he’s been under the conjunction. It hit him a bit harder. He and my daughter have a buck goat, and the neighbor’s does went into heat. So a formerly well behaved (for a buck) goat went on a rampage. They made about four trips in one day to the neighbor’s pasture to bring the critter home. This was a workday for both of them, and by the end of the day my son-in-law was in a towering rage. (Or so I was told.) Probably contemplating shooting the little cuss. Instead, they put him up for sale. He’s a LaMancha, so he sold pretty quickly.

Don’t let anybody tell you that astrology doesn’t work, even if you can’t predict what will happen.

Once I saw that a terribly bad combination of transits was approaching. I thought maybe I was going to die. But, instead, a tree fell on the house.

      ===========

And coincidently on this very date 73 years ago in 1949 my wife Barbara (aka Bo) was born. And to top it off tomorrow, Oct 8th, Bo’s brother, the infamous Peter, will turn 76 y/o.

One of the many great differences between men and women is that women’s besties take them out for lunch on their birthdays. And so, that is where Bo is as we speak.

Men do not take out their male friends for lunch on their birthdays. I’m not sure why but I suspect it would seem a little gay.

By January, maybe we’ll be reading that the Poles are burning the trees in their yards along with all their furniture to keep warm. The furniture will be very dry and great for kindling. A lot of dry kindling will be required to get green wood burning. After going through the furniture, then maybe chop up the back porch next and use it for fuel. When you start burning stuff that has paint and wood preservatives in it, it creates a wonderful aroma!

      • Night Owl October 7, 2022 at 10:08 am #

        Classic.

Around here, the new trend among these types is to bring multiple masks (to ensure maximum cleaniness and “effectiveness”), with the unworn masks being worn around one’s upper arm.

        Science.

It is the irony that is so amusing. They bring extra masks to change them more frequently, as their brains have slowly started to comprehend one of the more basic points of medical hygiene.

Yet the masks are riding around on their sweaty arms all day, picking up debris and anything else that passes over them.

It could be a Monty Python skit.

        I don’t know ….

The guy is in the great outdoors, 20 feet ( ? ) from the nearest person , but still a mask is called for ?

Seems to me if the situation was actually that bad , then what you would actually need is a gas mask and a hazmat suit.

Or , give up , when you read a history book and learn that the consistent previous human batting average versus genuine pandemics is abysmal.

His apparent reasoning seems to me to be quite similar to the one where people bitch about smoking in elevators and offices , so they banish smoking to the parking lot.

And with smoking banished to the parking lot ,

        THEY STILL BITCH.

It strikes me as less anything to do with Darwin,

A hell of a lot more to do with wholly fake Virtue signaling.

        • Paula D October 7, 2022 at 1:56 pm #

I don’t smoke, but I still bitched when they decided that people couldn’t go outside and smoke.

When you have a crazy or violent person in your care, the best way to make them behave is to promise them a cigarettes break.

And then the corporate assholes took that bargaining chip away from me.

So ambulances are allowed to idle outside the door, pouring diesel fumes into the building for an hour, but a smoker can’t light up a tiny stick of tobacco outside the door because they might kill us all.

I think a few people are latching on to the mask now that its in low use as an anti-establishment symbol.

Saw a raging black dude in a black mask with an exposed pistol holster in a 7-eleven, and there was no permission to open carry, I’m sure of it.

I grew up with firearms. Started carrying when I was 20ish. Carrying a weapon for self defense is a basic human right. I do not give a whit for what the law says. I don’t hunt much anymore, but do quite a bit of target shooting. I have never used a weapon in self defense. At this point, the rural small Southern town I live in is pretty safe. Not as safe as it was when I grew up, but safer than any big shithole city. All big cities are shitholes. Some are ok to visit but as far as I am concerned, they to me are totally unlivable. I’ll admit to being a bit of a misanthrope. I do have a permit to carry, but I prefer to do it concealed. If they banned the carry laws, I would be armed anyway.

            Same here, cbeard.

This guy wasn’t carrying a gun, he was throwing it in everyone’s face (and I doubt legally).

I haven’t seen many situations where non-cop open carry wasn’t more a socially unhelpful ego trip than anything.

If you mean what I think you mean ?

Remember when , generally, walking into a store in a ski mask with a bulge under your coat was bad form ?

          As a matter of fact I know a guy who just the other day wore a mask into the store to make the sarcastic statement ;

          ” Hey , I’m just following YOUR orders. “

          • gustafson.robert.22 October 7, 2022 at 11:18 am #

Yes. Criminal-types have an excuse to be masked now, and with only a minority wearing masks (here, for sure), the “criminal’s” condoned narcissistic boldness (being masked) projects the image they want to project.

Or, for a more general type of malcontent or subversive… Wearing no mask is mostly mainstream again now. So, masks gain a subversive-by-reason-of-minority cache (sort of unrelated to covid or health entirely).

          • Jarek October 8, 2022 at 10:01 am #

The basic right is to openly carry. But that freaks people out so it has become a special right in many, many places.

What we are barreling into was described Aldous Huxley’s first novel in 1921, titled ‘Crome Yellow’. Here is a paragraph from it:

The surest way to work up a crusade in favor of some good cause is to promise people they will have a chance of maltreating someone. To be able to destroy with good conscience, to be able to behave badly and call your bad behavior ‘righteous indignation’– this is the height of psychological luxury, the most delicious of moral treats.

      • hmuller October 7, 2022 at 10:56 am #

Yes, it reminds me of the Greta crowd of green activists. Germans especially embrace the green movement and wokism because they can bring out their inner Nazi and feel so self-righteous.

        • Islander October 7, 2022 at 11:10 am #

I don’t really think this German trait is “inner nazi.” It must be possible to talk about Germans without bringing up Nazis!

IMO Germans are basically deeply conservative folk, many of whom who never made a complete transition from the mentality of the village to modern urban life and in fact are only a couple of generations removed from that life, or less, or still live in villages and small citie. In fact, I even urban life in Germany isn’t that far removed from the village mentality, except in a few locations such as perhaps Berlin and Hamburg.

So, Germans are prone to watch their neighbors and keep them in line just as they did back home in Heidesheim and Klein Wanzleben and a thousand other little Kaffe. One preferred communication technique is not to tell the person to her/his face what to do, but to announce in a loud voice to a third party standing by that such-and-such behavior or such-and-such dress “is so eine Unverschaemtheit”! Or to make a very obvious huffily disapproving face! Of course you can be arrested and thrown in the hoosegow in Germany for calling people names or flipping them the bird, so, Vorsicht!!

          Now this watchfulness and readiness to dress others down in public is leavened with “wokedom.” [Shudder . . .}

          • Beryl of Oyl October 7, 2022 at 11:29 am #

There is, however, or was until recently, a German tendency to obey orders.

So what you’re sayin’ is the guy walked in front of a moving car? I try my best not to do that. “Ran him down” sounds like the driver was playing “Death Race 2000” The 1975 movie where drivers get points for killing pedestrians. Saw it at the drive-in.

The natural resentment of Blacks against Whites, ceaselessly encouraged by the media, the affirmative action industry, and now the Justice Department of the Federal Government.

Why would Blacks and other minorities ever relent when they have so much to gain and nothing to lose?

        • Beryl of Oyl October 7, 2022 at 1:26 pm #

There aren’t as many blacks who hate on whites as you imagine, Jarek.

Did you ever stop to consider that some blacks don’t like you because they think you don’t like them, because you don’t?

          • Rowdypiglet October 7, 2022 at 2:26 pm #

Beryl, I always wonder why more people don’t notice that real life doesn’t at all resemble the world that media (and social media) constructs in people’s heads. If you spend enough time online – and it really doesn’t take a lot – you’d start to believe that almost everyone is trans and dementedly woke. I have never actually encountered a single human being like the grotesques on tik-tok. I think that’s the most effective of all the tricks they’ve played on us, making normal people think they’re a tiny minority soon to die out.

          • Jarek October 7, 2022 at 2:26 pm #

No, I’ve had casual Black friends even after my conversion. I don’t tell them and they don’t know because I retain an ability to treat individuals one at a time, as they are.

Lesser intellects see a contradiction there. As if I can’t acknowledge an intelligent Black person while knowing the average Black IQ is well below the White average. There simply is no contradiction.

          • Jarek October 7, 2022 at 2:28 pm #

Rowdy: If you live around Blacks, you’ll see many of them living down to stereotypes.

As do many poor Whites. Same then? No. Blacks are far more dangerous, both to Whites and each other. No comparison.

          • Rowdypiglet October 7, 2022 at 2:48 pm #

Jarek, I know you’re right as far as blacks being more dangerous. I think we’ve all seen that. I don’t profess to know what the cause is, but we’ve all been shaped by natural selection to thrive in specific conditions. That being said, I treat people as individuals but find that real friendship requires honesty. There are things I have observed and believe to be true based on my experience, but which I can’t discuss or mention to black people.

There is a DiNiro line from a movie I cannot recall where, as a thug, he gives ten reasons why what he did was ok. One of them was that he never inflicted pain or misery upon anyone that did not deserve it.

Another organized crime method of avoiding responsibility for illegal action learned from a connected boss I once had was simple. No matter what you are caught doing and prosecuted for, deny it from the get-go and continue denying it until the day you die. It does not take long for people to hear the continuing denials and start to question their own memories and conviction that what they saw was right. If it goes long enough, they will look at you and say, “Wait a minute, that doesn’t even look like the same guy”. Works every time Denial is not just a river in Egypt, it’s a lifestyle.

Our government has gone from “We are the government, and we are here to help”, to “Shut up and pay!”

The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”

      • Creekwood October 7, 2022 at 12:49 pm #

No, we are not invited — or welcome. There was a covert operation in the 1980s, compartmentalized “top secret,” a multi-agency, “black” operation to ensure “continuity of government” in event of nuclear strikes: Operation PEGASUS (flight to bunkers) and Operation ACORN (install new government). Operational planning exercises were run under cover and backdrop of otherwise visible, “normal” military training operations. This work I did as a young man, after being un-educated by America’s “new education”system of the sixties and seventies — it’s wondrous temples of un-liberal education, where people are “trained” in the arts of “service,” “utility,” and “usefulness,” serving the Machine, speaking our lines, playing our parts. All of it is horribly bad theater, but all too real.

RB, what has occurred to me is that the ambitious, arrogant assholes deciding these things – raising the stakes toward a thermonuclear exchange, large or small – are in their forties or their fifties at most. They have never had to live through the lingering miasma of unease and fear that assailed us in the early 1960s, when it looked like a done deal.

During the October 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, General Curtis LeMay, whose claim to fame was fire-bombing the citizens of Tokyo, urged the President to go for it – to use the confrontation in the Caribbean as an excuse to launch an all-out attack on the USSR.

Kennedy, a naval veteran of the Pacific War, mused “Can I afford to lose twenty million voters?” Very much in character for the smart, cynical rich kid from Hyena Sport.

My elder brother, a career USAF pilot who flew tankers, commented “The only danger to our Air Force would have been from the bombers running into one another”.

After the Soviets’ humiliating backdown, Ambassador Dobrynin, who had been a most astute voice of caution and reason for Kennedy all the way through, stated “The Soviet Union will never allow itself to be treated this way again”.

All that seems to be forgotten, belittled or disregarded by a younger cabal of warrior-decision makers. Nuclear winter? End of a habitable biosphere? Old hat.

I would include the Commander-in-Chief in that pack of Katzenjammer Kids. He’s enjoying a second childhood.

Notice how Henry W.C. Kissinger stands out as “The Adult In The Room”? Unfuckingbelievable.

      • Beryl of Oyl October 7, 2022 at 11:34 am #

My grandmother used to read us those Katzenjammer kids comic strips.

Of course we didn’t grasp the point of them.

      • Alzaebo October 7, 2022 at 7:09 pm #

And people don’t know that Kissinger was Klaus Schwab’s sponsor and mentor; Henry, architect of the petrodollar, was also the Architect of the WEF.

Klaus is just a jannisary, an orphan who’s parents were murdered and that child remolded to serve his new masters.

        To SpeedyBB

Here are some FACTS on that “Cuban Missile Crisis”:

a)USA has installed a military base in Turkey (what’s new!) which was capable of launching a nuclear strike on Russia.

b)Russia has RETALIATED by doing the same in Cuba.

c)US of fucking A did not like that. You see, it’s only THEM that is allowed to do such fucking shit! Yeah.. right.

        d) The hysterical reaction followed.

        e) Russia (or USSR at the time) has made a perfectly clear response:
Move your shit out of Turkey, then we will consider removing our base from Cuba.

f)JFK, being an adult in the room full of fucked up Am Generals, has made a momentous decision – to ignore these fuckwits and do what was needed.

        g) Crisis was over.

Now you know all relevant details of the “Cuban Missile Crisis”.

        • Paula D October 7, 2022 at 9:32 pm #

You forgot the part where the Mighty Wurlitzer of propaganda convinced Americans that Khrushchev backed down.

Even Speedy seems to have fallen for it, offering a quote that was no doubt fabricated by some CIA spook and fed to the mockingbird media as a scoop,

          • SpeedyBB October 8, 2022 at 5:56 pm #

Paula, wasn’t an agreement by the Russians to keep mum on the American agreement to take out the [obsolete and dangerous] Jupiter missiles part of the deal cooked up with Khrushchev?

Kennedy was being incessantly baited by the Republicans and other warmongers about being “…soft on Russia”. As a seasoned politician he knew that it would have to be seen as a backdown by the USSR or he’d suffer for it.

          • Paula D October 8, 2022 at 6:19 pm #

            I don’t know, Speedy. I wouldn’t be surprised.

The Russians now seem to know that Americans have the whole “I am too macho to ever back down. I would rather die in a stupid fight than back off” attitude down.

Are you saying that the ambassador was playing a role to make the Americans look macho?
I suppose that is a possibility.

But it is just as likely that the CIA lied.

        • SpeedyBB October 8, 2022 at 10:29 am #

Actually I knew most of that. The liquid-fueled Jupiter missiles in Turkey were reportedly going to be removed in any case, even before the Cuban events started off.

It is also relevant to bear in mind that for much of the time the Commander-in-Chief was hopped up on amphetamines, supplied by the sinister “Dr. Feelgood”. He was repeatedly warned about their potential and urged to stop taking them, but his response was “They make my back feel better so I’m not stopping.” By now everyone is fully aware of how speed can affect judgment.

I found the report of Ambassador Dobrynin as a sort of “eminence grise” quite intriguing. He was no hot-headed bumpkin, lik Khrushchev, but rather a thoughtful, keenly intelligent individual: “We must come to a definitive decision on this matter, Mr. President, before the matter is taken out of our hands”. A reminder that once the missiles start flying the politicians are mostly ignored.

The thought that the Generals were willing to sacrifice much of the nation, just to be able to knock out the USSR is profoundly disgusting. Jack and Bobby kept their heads.

I’ve gained valuable medical advice here, in synch with current problems. One poster told of his horrible experience with statins just as my doctor wanted to put me on them.

        • Beryl of Oyl October 7, 2022 at 1:32 pm #

Ah yes, statins. Just as that drug came to market, a decision was made that the medical industry needed to change the threshold of what was considered high blood pressure.

          What a coincidence.

Yeah the poster quickly developed numbness and tingling in his arms. He stopped but not before he suffered permanent neuro-muscular damage. It never went fully away.

            No thanks on that.

        • cbeard October 7, 2022 at 5:25 pm #

Yes, I had a Dr. that was furious walking out of the room, down the hall yelling, “this man says he is not going to take statins” when I refused the prescription, telling him I would get the numbers where he wanted them with lifestyle changes, and I did that. If your doctor won’t work with you on avoiding dangerous drugs by changing your bad habits, then find another doctor.

          • MaryQueen October 7, 2022 at 5:48 pm #

Totally! I go to a naturopath. She has helped me a lot, whereas doctors never have (except to give me meds to treat symptoms for something like bronchitis).

Lifestyle changes are the number 1 cure for just about anything.

I clued someone who is active in social media into Dr. Malhotra’s revelations, and now she has him in her Twitter feed (I think that’s the way you say it) and everybody who follows her is going to be exposed to his thinking, and a number of them are likely to tell at least one other person.

          • Paula D October 7, 2022 at 1:59 pm #

That is why our overlords hate social media.

Our ability to share information horizontally instead of only being exposed to their top down pronouncements is a threat to their rule.

          • Blackbird October 7, 2022 at 8:50 pm #

I expect it’s a love/hate relationship. Through our use of social media we give our overlords a whole lot of information about ourselves, without even being dragged in for questioning.

            @Blackbird – spot on.

I don’t think the elections will happen. I keep thinking that something is going to happen to Sleepy Joe that will throw the country into such “deep mourning” that they’ll try to postpone it. Maybe Hunter will “Epstein” himself with all the recent scandal. Somethings going to happen though. Of that, I am sure.

    • Beryl of Oyl October 7, 2022 at 10:21 am #

I think they will come up with some misdemeanor charge or other for Hunter, and call it done.

Every time we hear about the laptop, we hear about hookers and blow. Big deal.

      • benr October 7, 2022 at 10:32 am #

Hookers and blow are a big deal just not in legal sense.
That also depends on how many hookers and how much blow.
The problem is obvious corruption on the laptop that had hunter been tied to Trump would have had Trump driven from office.
Since Biden is a Democrat, they have shielded him from the exposure until his usefulness comes to an end.
Think Filthy Filner decades of allegations from women and nothing happened until he went local mayor.
He was elected with many people knowing about his abusive behavior towards women.

        • cbeard October 7, 2022 at 5:45 pm #

He was not elected. He was placed in office by evil bastards and the voters just yawned and said, oh well. Wait till the next election. We all knew the election was rigged and how it was done. More details have come out since and probably more forthcoming. We will see what happens in the mid terms, if they happen at all. But if they are still using the Dominion machines, mail in ballots, drop boxes etc. then all bets are off. One election day, no ballots counted after midnight, paper verifiable ballots, proof of citizenship and real voter ID. Maybe a few days of early voting could work, but no more 6 week voting periods. That is a recipe for corruption. Grow a pair America. I also think IQ tests would be in order for voter eligibility.

Yes bill, it seems the Elite have a license to steal and kill.

Years ago Barbara Bush appeared on the Larry King show. She let drop that she would kill anyone posing a threat to her family.
Larry laughed and tried to walk back the remark “I don’t think you mean that literally.”
“Oh yes, I do!” Barbara retorted. Then she put on her menacing, demonic face – looking every bit like the biological father she never knew, Aleister Crowley.

In protection of her cubs, yes. Otherwise, sans cubs, no.

In our species, males are far more dangerous by and large in terms of direct violence. Human females try to get males to do their violence for them, be it on a personal level or via the State with its divorce industry, judges and police.

Facebook is jailing people who post photos of Hunter doing blow or lounging with underage girls.

The excuse? Those are “private photos”.

So they are still covering up that laptop, even though the NY Times briefly (last winter) admitted it was legit.

I heard Hunter sent some of his finer videos for posting on Porn-hub, under a pseudo-name, of course.
It’s like part of him wants to expose and disgrace himself, his father, and his family. Add to that his sister’s diary of fatherly sexual abuse (also like the laptop “accidentally abandoned” where someone would find it).
The children of the elite are often raised under MK-Ultra/Project Monarch procedures. The results you can judge for yourself.

I don’t think Hunter will be charged with anything. He’s a pretty big turd to sweep under the rug, but under the rug he will go, he knows the way.

I do expect trouble for Trump. I expect that he will be ruled ineligible to hold public office due to some contrived but unproven offense. Not to punish Trump, but to trigger his supporters – or at least support that narrative. Bye bye Kamala…

Like having to recount the ballots until weeks after the elections.
      E-chads?

    • Blackbird October 7, 2022 at 9:13 pm #

I had expected a mail-in election, due to a new and improved “Covid” roaring back into town, maybe with Honkeypox riding shotgun. Could be owning the voting machines and the media is enough.

The last presidential “election” (Primaries included) was as transparent, and poorly scripted, as a scam can get, but it went off with no blowback for the scammers. And this is just a midterm election. Of course there will be cries of fraud, but no one will listen and the sound will go away.

I expect gains for the Democrats in the House, Senate, and governor’s mansions. Not that I think a Republican Tsunami would do us any good either. But if the Democrats can eventually steal their way to a supermajority (I’m with Her! 2024), they might just decide it’s time to amend the Constitution.

Whether it’s Trump being reinstated as president or the mysterious “White Hats” working behind the scenes to take down the Deep State, this thinking has a waft of credulous delusion about it. Historically, interest in voodoo and magic and witchcraft and the like increase in unsettled times.

        • Anthea October 9, 2022 at 7:56 pm #

          @ Beryl of Oyl:

Yes, voodoo, magic, and withcraft are what people resort to when they feel they have no real-world options for meeting needs or obtaining justice. When people resort to those things–or get really into “The Secret,” it’s a sure sign they feel completely helpless.

On the other hand, I think we all engage in “sympathetic magic” all the time: we hang wall art of the things that are dear to us and keep pictures of our kids around. This can be useful for focusing the mind. If you want to own a house, it probably helps to have a picture of the “dream house” on the wall. People often have pictures on the wall, or other little items sitting around, that are reminders of the things they love or aspire to. Maybe you want a rose garden, a horse, or a beehive, or a meadow of wildflowers. If this is “sympathetic magic,” it is probably beneficial. Certainly no one will find fault with having “The Angelus” on the wall, or think you’re up to no good because of it. One of my favorites is “Christas Eve,” by Carl Larsson: happy, chubby, well dressed children, with one of them looking like she has had her hand in the cookie jar.

But then they did away with the spitoons and the child labor – hot dog vendors.

And the players went from guys who are affluent enough to buy a bowling alley AFTER they get kicked out , ( see Chick Gandle )

To guys at so far a remove that they commute from 4 states away to go to work.

I don’t like the endless second guessing of calls.

The game should be played on the field. Win a few, lose a few.

When there are millions of dollars at stake, safe or out becomes a major legal matter.

I guess what I’m saying is corporatizing a sport ruins it. Corporate globalism destroys everything.

            Good points Ladies.

I think we may be looking at the first ‘Billion Dollar Contract’ with this Aaron Judge chap. Major Leaguers who live around here — Steve Blass & Dick McAuliffe to name two — worked locally in the off season, one in a jewelry store another in his family business I believe selling home heating oil.

Agreed, Q. The spitting, most often on artificial surfaces now, always disturbs me. Do they think that someone’s not gonna end up landing in that shit? Football players are doing it a lot now too.

Ruckers up 13-0 at the half, Q.! Should be more. Shuckers predictably getting shucked at the line of scrimmage, which is where games are truly won or lost. Your boy Cruikshank is another NFL caliber WR.

Final: Nebraska 14, Ruckers 13. Two mediocre now 3-3 teams playing to a near stalemate in Ol’ Piscataway. Tough loss, Q!

For what it’s worth, I think Nebraska got very lucky to pull this one out. They’re under a lot of pressure too, what with playing for a temporary head coach and staff after Frost got fired three games in. How the mighty have fallen!

Yeah, I remember Biden waxing reminiscent over the great Republicans who join with the Democrats to screw over the American people. He really likes those Republicans.

He said the only Republicans they are going after are the MAGA ones.

Oh, Joe, the ones who want to make America great again?
Those are the ones that Gen. Milley has announced they are targeting.

And the media, the ”justice” system, and the Woke Totalitarians are happily joining the pack.

How did they manage to turn that slogan, to make America great again, into something worthy of persecution?

However, no one seems to care about anything but fecking baseball.

As to your wish list, I can only agree with most of your points but differ significantly in whether the Christian Taliban you want to see elected would ever deliver on anything of substance.

In fact, most of these are still (and have always been) ingrained in US society, and a few of the commonsense ones are already underway under this President:

      > Bringing back manufacturing to this country.
      > Lower tax burdens on families.
      > Sane reasonable energy policies.
      > Adherence to the Constitution.
      > One person one vote and 100% voter ID to vote.

Funnily enough, none of these things occurred when Orange Jesus was looting the joint.

Biden is doing none of what you stated.
        None of it.
He is placing a higher tax burden on business, manufacturing and families.
He is also now stealing 25% of peoples TSP accounts.
Nothing about the green new deal is sane rational or going to work.
Nor is he doing anything about rampant voter fraud some of the states are however in spite of Biden and his cronies.

Simply you are saying any of this is happening is not reality in fact it’s just your fevered and very foreign perspective.
Nice try but no Biden is a train wreck and needs to be impeached and thrown from office in disgrace.

Meanwhile, as of yesterday, CBS, NBC, ABC, Bloomberg etc still reporting glorious Ukrainian battlefield victories on the Eastern front. The message appears to be “keep the schwag flowing into Kiev, we got the Russkis on the run.” And Congress has responded, voting for another $650 million ‘Aid Packege.’

One wonders what the goal is and ultimately how much the US is willing to spend to reach it?

Simultaneously, the destruction of Nordstream 1 & 2 has completely dropped out of the news cycle. One of the greatest economic & ecological disasters in the 21st century is a non story.

    • Woodchuck October 7, 2022 at 10:56 am #

Yeah, keep bleeding resources, men, and money in Ukraine just as Russia did in Afghanistan, or as we did in Vietnam. 31 trillion in debt and trillions more about to be tossed away. This will lead to the end of the dollar and the end of the federal government of the United States. The US empire will crack apart and fail just as the old Soviet empire failed.

For some reason, we incarcerate our children in school systems everywhere and force feed them with junk knowledge and propaganda. While we have taken all their freedom away as children, we indoctrinate them with silly slogans about our “freedom” and tell them they are free and everyone else is living in substandard oppression. While this is going on, if children are not going to school, men with guns will show up at their parents door and force them to go to school. This is how freedom works?

People in the US have been indoctrinated to believe that the most important issue on the planet is our US “democracy” and that the existence of the centrally controlled USA is imperative. Without our “union” the world will be lost!

The truth is now the exact opposite, and secession is the only way out of this trap. If we wish to become the USA again some time in the future, the states can convene another convention and form a new central government. At the moment however, it seems that the vast majority of US citizens still prefer to live inside a trap and abusing their own offspring. What if the rest of the world, especially Russia, has no desire to live like this and stop playing along?

I like it here. It’s like a community gathering that you don’t have to dress for or travel to, and if the small group conversations get boring, it isn’t rude to scroll on by.

LIke a party, except that no one would invite such a motley crew in real life.
Maybe an art show or a church social, where anyone can come.

          • cowbell81 October 7, 2022 at 3:16 pm #

I still think it would be fun if we set a predetermined date and time to all anonymously meet in a public place. We could all take guesses on who is who. We could have the film “They Live” playing in the background with the soundtrack by John Carpenter also piped in.

Who should we hire to serve as caterer, so we have enough food and variety? Let’s just say it is safe to assume there will be actual meat there, none of that fake almost chicken stuff.

          • Paula D October 7, 2022 at 3:23 pm #

That would be fun, but we live all over the world.

I for one do not like to travel. I hate any form of travel except Amtrak, but Amtrak is now out because of covid restrictions.

          • Paula D October 7, 2022 at 3:24 pm #

          • cowbell81 October 7, 2022 at 5:12 pm #

What Covid restrictions does Amtrak still have in place?

I wonder if anyone at a CFN gathering would be guilty of wearing a mask at the event? If so, it wouldn’t be to protect against Covid, but to hide their appearance from others.

We could do a USA version of CFN Fest, that travels like a concert, to start with. That would allow all corners of the country ability to drive there, and if you are really devoted you could be a roadie to appear at more than one.

Then if those are successful, we could host events in Europe, Africa, Australia, etc.

Well, I do appreciate the nice feedback I get.

Probably, the only realistic way to meet would be via Zoom or something similar. With that, maybe even JHK himself could be persuaded to join in. Or maybe some of the trolls and orcs would join in also.

          • Blackbird October 7, 2022 at 9:35 pm #

cowbell, the obvious place to meet is Mr. K’s backyard. Front yard for parking only.

When the internet goes down, that will be our signal to begin the journey.

So how did that work out for us? A goat fuck exit with 80 billion in military equipment left behind. No one reprimanded for that. Richard Burton called it the Sotadic Zone or something like that. Whether he considered it racial or psycho-geographic, he felt the Arabs, the people of the ‘stans, and the Indians were considerable more sexual than Whites are.

They tried to control it through veils, isolation of the sexes, social norms, religion, ect – but then it led to things like this.

          • hmuller October 8, 2022 at 11:40 am #

I assume you mean Richard Burton the explorer, not the actor who married Elizabeth Taylor twice.
They called him “Nigger Dick” because he was a Welshman who tanned dark in the sunlight. This aided him in impersonating an Arab to participate in the Haj and see the Kabaa.
He later presented Queen Victoria with a T-shirt inscribed, “Nigger Dick went to Mecca and all I got was this lousy T-shirt”. Reportedly, she never wore it.

    • mrs_saj October 8, 2022 at 10:00 am #

      BRH,

I am starting to wonder about how the European news coverage will be managed this winter. Our mainstream media, as you say, is still pushing its own narrative as far as the military contest in Ukraine. And the Nordstream pipelines are not being covered much at all. How are the repairs going? Nobody seems to know or care in the media. My husband has been in the pipeline business for 30 years. Those pipelines can be repaired, but time is of the essence due to salt water corrosion.

But what about the coverage (or lack thereof) of Europeans who freeze to death this winter? Will we hear of it? Will the people be encouraged by their media to practice their patriotism/nationalism by saying nothing of the realities of not enough heat in December, January, and February? Will people be harassed by the their government for speaking out? Will social media posts about the grim circumstances be censored? Its going to be quite interesting to watch what comes out of Europe.

I’m about 2/3 the way through rereading 1984 at present and false media narratives have been on my mind of late.

      Mrs. SAJ

      • Paula D October 8, 2022 at 6:28 pm #

mrs saj, my husband and I were just talking about how they can drop big events down the Memory Hole.

The pipelines are just the latest. What about the 400 cops who stood outside an elementary school and stopped parents and a husband from going to rescue their children?

What about the man who ran over 62 people at a Christmas parade last year?

How is it that these big events can be so quickly forgotten while people can be induced to argue for weeks over some celebrity bullshit?

        • Soul Forensics October 9, 2022 at 6:27 pm #

“How is it that these big events can be so quickly forgotten while people can be induced to argue for weeks over some celebrity bullshit?”

Because of the planned media blitz of manufactured outrage.

People can only hold so much info in their heads at one time, and, thanks to social media and the “news” continuous scrolls and single clicks, media consumers can be forever in the present moment, turning over the latest bullshit narrative in their heads until the next reinforcement arrives ten seconds later.

As you say, last year’s events are already forgotten. And seminal historical markers? Hahahaha! The past doesn’t exist for most, unless it’s their own victimized childhood.

About those nuclear strikes being threatened- there is a lot going on, a lot being revealed, that demonstrates indisputably that a lot of people’s necks belong in nooses.

The “vaxx” is killing people, and people tried to cover it up.

Everything the world went through, the lockdowns, the face diapers, the wrecking of the economy, was for nothing, and many of those pushing these things knew it.

Those who did not know should have, as that information, that truth and those facts, were availble from minute one of these atrocities.

As for President Trump and his infernal task force, there should be a special place in Hell for those who knowingly lie to and deceive a president during a time of alleged national emergency.

One thing I do know, there is a special place for the Faucis, the Pences, the Walenskys, all the Deep Staters running that clown show-
on a scaffold, with nooses around their necks, real nooses, not garage pulls.

So, if someone gets inspired by the threats against Putin to set off a dirty bomb or two, that would certainly take the world’s minds off a cold virus.

    • beantownbill. October 7, 2022 at 10:55 am #

Yeah, it might be just a cold virus, but it has a death rate of 1.7%. Doesn’t sound like much, but that is 130,000,000 million of the world’s population. To this add cancer, heart attacks, diabetes, vaccine damage, etc. All these diseases and conditions seriously affect and weaken the human genome. So I think only “a cold flu” is still something of a matter of concern in that regard.

      • Beryl of Oyl October 7, 2022 at 11:44 am #

A matter of concern does not an emergency make.

” A matter of concern does not an emergency make. ”

          • Rowdypiglet October 7, 2022 at 2:05 pm #

An excellent motto. We go berserk over things that humanity has lived with forever and somehow managed to propagate itself.

        • megabeth October 7, 2022 at 1:38 pm #

In a sane culture, this would get more traction.

      • hmuller October 7, 2022 at 11:53 am #

Isn’t that 1.7 percent including everyone who died with the virus in their system? Whether it killed them or the co-morbidity factors really killed them. 96 percent, if I remember correctly, had such co-morbidity factors, usually more than one.

In any case I don’t trust proven liars like the WHO et al. when they trot out their statistics.

      • MaryQueen October 7, 2022 at 12:12 pm #

        No, bill.

The death rate of so-called covid was ever only 0.027%.

Just like every other cold and flu season.

        You were had.

        • Beryl of Oyl October 7, 2022 at 12:47 pm #

The vaxx, on the other hand…

          • MaryQueen October 7, 2022 at 9:10 pm #

Yep, that’s actually a high percentage.

        • beantownbill. October 7, 2022 at 12:47 pm #

Ok, but is the .027% just for covid, or is it just “with covid”? That makes a difference.

          • Paula D October 7, 2022 at 1:10 pm #

Did you notice that the “pandemic” mostly affected the “international community”? That is, the US and Europe?

There are vast swaths of the planet that had no death rate from the bioweapon, because it wasn’t directed at them. So there go your numbers derived from assuming the entire population of Earth was involved in that which didn’t affect them.
            At least, not at first.
India went over a year without causalities, even though there are over a billion people living in close contact and a lot of them are dirt poor.
It wasn’t until May 2021 that the Delta “variant” showed up in India.
Hmmm, that is strange. How does a “variant” take hold in a country untouched by the original bioweapon? And how does it start AFTER cold and flu season?
Same with South Africa. They announce a “variant” in Nov, I think it was, and the next week it is announced that the “variant” has been found all over the USA.
Really? Explain the epidemiology of that, please.

Or are we back to the spontaneous generation theory of our medieval ancestors? (Answer: yes. They have turned modern humans into credulous swallowers of unscientific nonsense.)

          • Rowdypiglet October 7, 2022 at 2:09 pm #

When you consider all the nonsense that has gone on – “with covid” instead of “of covid”, large payments to hospitals for every “covid” patient, apparent inability of the test to tell whether someone actually has it or not – I don’t think we’ll ever know the true statistics.

          • Paula D October 7, 2022 at 3:27 pm #

Indeed rowdy, but we can look at the CARES Act, assess the amount of money dumped into the medical-industrial complex in order to increase the ”cases”, and make an educated guess why the US had such a high rate of ”covid” deaths compared to other countries.

It isn’t because we didn’t lockdown enough, that’s for sure.

          • MaryQueen October 7, 2022 at 9:09 pm #

            Covid.

For a year + after the plandemic started, I tracked the World-o-meter stats for every state and country.

The numbers of deaths always = 0.027% or thereabouts.

Less than 1% is not a pandemic.

            A pandemic is 4%.

4% of the population of any country did not die in 2020. 0.027% did.

            Pretty much normal.

          • MaryQueen October 7, 2022 at 9:09 pm #

          • MaryQueen October 7, 2022 at 9:10 pm #

@rowdypiglet, even with all the “with covid” bullshit, it was STILL under 1%.

      • Jarek October 7, 2022 at 1:38 pm #

The coronavirus or cold, along with the flu, is one of nature’s main ways of taking the elderly out of circulation.

Just more of the same old, same old.

        • beantownbill. October 7, 2022 at 4:36 pm #

Obviously something isn’t quite right withe the whole scheme. If you get vaxxed and still get covid, well that’s not good. But people have gotten flu shots pre-covid ‘ve been perfectly healthy and it’s been u10 monthsand caught the flu because the virus mutates veryy fast; I never got a flu shot.
In retrospect I wouldn’t get vaxxed. A horrible mistake? So far I

          • beantownbill. October 7, 2022 at 4:42 pm #

So far I’ve been fine, and it’s been 10 months. No one can say with certainty that the effects stay with you forever because forever hasn’t happened yet. I’m 77 and if I die soon, it wouldn’t necessary be because of the vax; I’ve already outlived the Bible’s three score and ten by 10%.

More proof that we are in an autocratic uniparty state:

Love him or loathe him, blabber-thumbs Musk was threatened for suggesting PEACE must be on the table, and for offering spit-ball suggestions and concessions to end the war.

In return, Closet McCain, the grown man who has no children of his own but has no problem sending yours off to die, Mr. MIC, AKA Lindsey Graham, threatened Musk the only way an ineffectual politician can: tax targeting.

This is plain sinister and serves to only quiet dissent to a VASTLY unpopular war.

I’m not a fan of Ayn Rand and her bullshit at all, but if this does not take a page out of her clumsy novels…

On the subject of men who speak their minds, Kanye West is at it again.
Wearing a White Lives Matter shirt to his show at Fashion Week, and now questioning why we are celebrating obesity.

I’ll tell you why right now, Kanye. Should the people ever discover the government’s role in causing the obesity epidemic (and it is an epidemic because metabolic syndrome is a disease), there will be a lot more necks known to be deserving of nooses.

I like Rand’s work well enough, but she had some major flaws in her thinking.

Like the architect who creates public housing with privacy, just like the middle class would want.

Excuse me? What poor person wants privacy? People whose lives are entirely social do not want privacy and do not even understand the concept.

      • 100th Avatar October 7, 2022 at 12:05 pm #

Kanye is also “woke” to the motivations of Sanger, eugenics, and Planned Parenthood.

To reduce the population of poor people.

Of course, most of the abortions in NYC occur within the black and Hispanic populations who are among the most poor.

And so he asks do Black lives really matter?

He’s a creative type and this is a thought provoking way to look at the white liberal overlords’ absurd and contradicting view on black lives mattering.

And to shove this in their face he is saying no hypocrites: white lives matter.

        Rather genius.

It’s a shame he’s such a chaotic sort of person. He has that trickster/troublemaker vibe about him that Musk has as well. Neither of them are people I would trust, but they have their uses and occasionally point out the Emperor’s lack of clothing.

      • 100th Avatar October 7, 2022 at 12:26 pm #

That would only make more chaos. And violence.

A return to more states rights, or a loosely confederated union of states would be best.

        Less top-down, centralized bureaucratic control.

Making politicians answer to the local constituents.

Now this is pie-in-the-sky stuff of course

Secession, states rights, civil liberties, unalienable rights, direct representation.

Oh, I disagree. Some chaos maybe, which we’ve already got an abundance of. Make no mistake about it, secession will involve acts like that anyway. A LOT of them.

The Left is goading for violence, and no one should take the bait. That’s why J6 was unfortunate. It handed them a narrative. The Federal structure will stay in place until the dollar collapses. At that point, power will flow back to the States, hopefully peacefully, and we will recognize that the Constitution was simply a coup vis a vis the Articles of Confederation.

          @ Mac:

My concern is that something more along the lines of the collapse of the USSR will occur.

It looks to me like what happened there was not so much a simple acknowledgement by the people in power that their power structure no longer worked or existed, as it was a case where the people in power simply sold the country and its assets to Western oligarchs for pennies on the dollar. They took the money and ran–or were rewarded by positions within the new structure of carpetbagging oligarchs.

Actually, that’s a lot like what has been happening in the US for several decades. I.e., Texas could secede, and find that China owns all its oil fields and ranch lands. (Have to nationalize them first, I suppose.) California could secede and find that China has already owned the place for decades. The federal government owns a huge percentage of the land in Western states–and a very high percentage in California. Powerful people in the federal government could sell them the military bases and federal lands, all tied up with a ribbon.

Just a comment on Durham et al.

These top tier characters in our society lose everything if they buck the system. They lose their lively hoods, they are banished. Look at all of Trump’s appointees that stabbed him in the back their first opportunity. They were anointed by the Deep State to destroy Trump.

When the power on one side is so complete, nothing can stop them. Look at how many Dem voters have been created in the last fifty years as compared to Tea Party types. This election may be proof positive of the majority voter takeover of the country by the Democrats. If they maintain power in the electable Deep State, remember the RINOs, the Chaos Party is in for good.

The country will change abruptly if it happens. All the stops will be taken out of the power programs by the Dems because they will no longer have to fear the electorate. Like a lame duck government.

Tax and spend will be the name of the game.

Wall Street will start the cutting off of the oil companies.

People will start freezing to death, literally.

    Gas lines will restart.

Biden warned today of a nuclear holocaust. Considering the family that caused, not started the Ukraine war, was the Biden Mob and its corruption of Ukraine during Obama, I would probably believe this firebrand.

Interest rates will climb until unemployment is at least six percent. Watch and see if they change the rules again to make things look better.

Red states may become more restive as their conservative natures are cancelled out by the Mob. If the DC crowd becomes Uniparty, the Reds have no choice but to revolt.

Yes. Revolt might consist of everyone calling and sending hand written paper mail to all of their local and state representatives, insisting on secession. One immediate benefit of secession will be resources staying inside the new nation instead of being siphoned off and wasted by the central government. In desperate times, those resources will be needed by the citizens of these new nations. They won’t have anything left for use in warfare and in keeping a global empire going. Every misspent and squandered resource will result in not just psychological pain but real physical pain for the citizens. They will not be able to afford contributing to their former gov’t. War will stop because the means to conduct it won’t exist anymore.

I don’t know about you, but many of us here don’t have much to do with our relatives who are idiots and assholes, and we would not work in the service of their interests–since their interests are contrary to our own (and everyone else’s). I will admit to having one old friend who is an idiot and, in some respects, an asshole, but I would not serve his interests either, other than in the forms common to friendship and human kindness. (E.g., I will gift him a bottle of wine, olive oil, or balsamic vinegar, but I won’t support his political interests.)

Do I care if idiots and asshole drop like flies? Some yes, some no.

As a few have noted, the entire globe is literally being held hostage while in the thrall of a dying, thrashing empire

Who would have expected the end would come so quickly, even though we all know ernest’s famous line

We failed to collapse the Russian govt; it was our only play. The conventional battlefield drama in ukraine is merely a sideshow

As informed people around the world know, the conflict is really about the $usd, mic and energy. As such, russias steadfast defense represents an existentional threat to the Empire

I echo Jim’s hope that sane, rational players can still influence the outcome – maybe voices from China, India, et al as people really wakes up to the danger posed by a vengeful loser intent on taking everyone/thing down with them

Though BRICS are the biggest breakaway countries, about 66 countries peg their currencies to the U.S. dollar, or use it as day-to-day money.

When the U.S. $ collapses, it’ll free up a lot of local and sovereign state trade without the coercive strings attached. That is, if worldwide CBDC hasn’t taken over. (I think the WEF will fail.)

      • Blackbird October 7, 2022 at 10:25 pm #

I think the ultimate purpose (because there are probably several) of the Ukraine War is the social and economic destruction of Europe, the scattered shards of which will be swept into China’s big tent.

With our lackeys gone, and no one to beat up on, the last jenga sticks of our kleptocapitalist system will come crashing down upon our heads. The plutocrats get their worldwide plantation with Chinese management.

So yeah, China is real, Russia is real, the US is a hallucination that gets more extreme as less people are afflicted by it.

      • SpeedyBB October 7, 2022 at 1:11 pm #

Avatar-baby, this was the plot of THE FOURTH PROTOCOL. I had the fancy myself years ago, like so: a long-term parking garage in the Bronx. 10-year-old panel van, with thick lead shielding inside, disguising a Made-in-Russia nuclear device.

Across the planet, a luxury apartment in a fine building, with a view of the Kremlin. Expensive, tasteful furniture, and a magnificent grand piano.

Except that the piano conceals a nuclear device. All they need to do is to pep up the tritium every twelve years or so and Bob’s your uncle.

Each side has tactfully made the other aware of these “sleeper” devices, without specifying much. A true modern-day Mexican standoff.

        • beantownbill. October 7, 2022 at 4:13 pm #

Back in the 1970’s I was talking with an old friend and posited that there were always nukes secretly planted here for years. He didn’t agree and said we had the technology to detect the bombs.

          @ SpeedyBB:

That seems like the obvious approach, to me. For some time, it has seemed to me that such a stealth approach would be much more workable and advantageous than launching a bunch of missiles from a bunch of miliarty installations or submarines.

But because I don’t know much of anything about miliatary mattters or explosives, I was never able to imagine how it might be done. You have stated the means very clearly and eloquently.

I have one quibble. Is it essential that such explosive devices be nuclear? One of the main purposes for defeating an enemy is so you can take over their territory and their stuff. You’d want everything of value to remain uncontaminated.

Maybe the best approach would be to use a mix of nuclear and conventional explosives, using nukes only in places where you wanted to “salt the ground.”

Obviously, your first and highest priority targets would be military installations–especially those that could fire missiles back at you.

          • SpeedyBB October 9, 2022 at 7:48 am #

It has been some years since I came across THE FOURTH PROTOCOL, Anthea, but I do remember my pleasure at seeing an original hypothesis vindicated in print by a big-time spy novelist.

The fact that various surveillance organs today have “sniffers” at ports of entry implies to me that either the “sleeper devices” are in place, or that one side or the other is bluffing about it (how to tell?).

My magic fingers just tickled Barney Google, who urped up IAEA Nuclear Security Series #5, “Identification of Radioactive Sources and Devices”. It’s 154 pages, and not likely to divulge any delicious details, but clearly points to official concern about the matter.

I am honestly surprised that some of the better-connected Islamists have not set off a dirty bomb down Wall Street way. Several years ago there was a very disturbing report that radioactive materials were being black-marketed somewhere in eastern Europe. Bulgaria?

          • Anthea October 10, 2022 at 1:22 am #

            @ SpeedyBB:

Another relevant point re military installations is that I don’t think they are all that secure.

The reason I say this is because, when the police raided a drug dealer’s residence in my area a number of years ago, they discover a cache of weapons stolen from Whiteman Air Force Base. Now, if a regular punk-ass drug dealer can obtain weapons stolen from there, it probably wouldn’t be too difficult to plant “sleeper” explosives there. The drug dealers are probably not the only ones able to arrange an inside job.

“I think in many regards even in the 60s Russian equipment wasn’t as backwards as claimed, ”

    — Gusgus

The issue was confused by , for example , that you could buy a top – of – line version , or a cut – rate version , of the SAME tank.

For example , the gizmo where you push a button and the tank turret whips around in a second has been around for ages ,

But the tanks Saddam Hussein bought , the turret had to be turned manually by a guy cranking like mad on a crank.

Saddam would rather spend the money on gold toilet seats for his bathroom , or something like that.

The Americans and Israeli’s were never particularly interested in clearing up the confusion either.

Another detail you will never see in a Tom Clancy novel is that in professional war game exercises ,

And in countless amateur war game exercises,

    NATO vs Warsaw Pact ,

    The Soviets routinely won.

But then if you want to sell novels to Americans
That is presumably not the plot narrative to be preferred.

    • KesaAnna October 7, 2022 at 12:31 pm #

      — granted , it wasn’t their preference, but the Israeli’s had somewhat more limited resources ,

So they used captured Egyptian and Syrian ( Russian ) tanks and they worked just fine for them.

        Ugh / lol ,

        To continue ,

In military application a weapon is not just a weapon ,

A weapon is fitted to certain tactical doctrines .

        It is a package deal.

There is a scene in an old comedy, ” Head Office ”

Where a corporation is selling fighter jets to two warring tribes in the Amazon.

The tribes don’t fly the jets , instead they roll the jets down hills smashing them into each other.

The best weapon in the world is shit if used wrongly / the user is incompetent.

  31. megabeth October 7, 2022 at 12:40 pm #

Robert Heinlein wrote this as the wreckage of WW II was still smoking, at the dawn of the last First Turning. Our next First Turning is close.

    =======

    This I Believe

I am not going to talk about religious beliefs but about matters so obvious that it has gone out of style to mention them. I believe in my neighbors. I know their faults, and I know that their virtues far outweigh their faults.

Take Father Michael, down our road a piece. I’m not of his creed, but I know that goodness and charity and loving kindness shine in his daily actions. I believe in Father Mike. If I’m in trouble, I’ll go to him. My next door neighbor’s a veterinary doctor. Doc will get out of bed after a hard day to help a stray cat—no fee, no prospect of a fee. I believe in Doc.

I believe in my townspeople. You can knock on any door in our town, say “I’m hungry,” and you’ll be fed. Our town is no exception. I found the same ready charity everywhere. For the one who says, “The heck with you, I’ve got mine,” there are a hundred, a thousand, who will say, “Sure pal, sit down.” I know that despite all warnings against hitchhikers, I can step to the highway, thumb for a ride, and in a few minutes a car or a truck will stop and someone will say, “Climb in Mack. How far you going?”

I believe in my fellow citizens. Our headlines are splashed with crime. Yet for every criminal, there are ten thousand honest, decent, kindly men. If it were not so, no child would live to grow up. Business could not go on from day to day. Decency is not news. It is buried in the obituaries, but it is a force stronger than crime.

I believe in the patient gallantry of nurses, in the tedious sacrifices of teachers. I believe in the unseen and unending fight against desperate odds that goes on quietly in almost every home in the land. I believe in the honest craft of workmen. Take a look around you. There never were enough bosses to check up on all that work. From Independence Hall to the Grand Coulee Dam, these things were built level and square by craftsmen who were honest in their bones.

I believe that almost all politicians are honest. For every bribed alderman, there are hundreds of politicians—low paid or not paid at all—doing their level best without thanks or glory to make our system work. If this were not true, we would never have gotten past the Thirteen Colonies.

I believe in Rodger Young. You and I are free today because of endless unnamed heroes from Valley Forge to the Yalu River. I believe in—I am proud to belong to—the United States. Despite shortcomings—from lynchings, to bad faith in high places—our nation has had the most decent and kindly internal practices and foreign policies to be found anywhere in history.

And finally, I believe in my whole race—yellow, white, black, red, brown—in the honesty, courage, intelligence, durability, and goodness of the overwhelming majority of my brothers and sisters everywhere on this planet. I am proud to be a human being. I believe that we have come this far by the skin of our teeth—that we always make it just for the skin of our teeth—but that we will always make it, survive, endure.

I believe that this hairless embryo with the aching oversized braincase and the opposable thumb—this animal barely up from the apes—will endure, will endure longer than his home planet, will spread out to the other planets—to the stars and beyond—carrying with him his honesty, his insatiable curiosity, his unlimited courage, and his noble essential decency.

This I believe with all my heart.

    • megabeth October 7, 2022 at 12:46 pm #

Tldr version, as well as for quibblers about how decrepit our institutions and internal practices have become and how unimportant space travel is to many, this is the core of Heinlein’s credo:

“Decency is not news. It is buried in the obituaries, but it is a force stronger than crime.”

I posted about the people I knew I could rely on in hard times, and the dedicated gun owners I know, being one and the same, a while back on this very site.

Of course I was bashed for my defense of Americans who should need no defense in America.

I had a friend, not a close friend, who was the kind of person who, if you called him in the middle of the night and said, “I need your help”, he’d have been there, no questions asked except maybe “what can I do for you?”

This man passed away just before the scamdemic, of natural causes.

One thing this trauma we’ve all been forced to undergo has done is to make us understand better than before, who we can count on and who we can’t.

People will betray you without even knowing they are doing it.

Also have learned (once again) that we are almost powerless to change what federal officials do, though we can influence and/or elect local officials.

    • Jarek October 7, 2022 at 2:16 pm #

First he’s proud of Americans. Then he’s proud of the human race. Quite a jump. A bridge too far since the Founders would have never agreed with it. Thus his patriotism is cancelled out by his globalism.

He got steadily more liberal, probably because of his libertarianism. Finally he wanted to abolish the border with Mexico because it “wasn’t working”. Such utter foolishness is one of the reasons America is doomed.

      • megabeth October 7, 2022 at 4:02 pm #

        Bip-BRAAAAP! Wrong, Jarek!

Granted, he was a man of his times, but:

        1. Heinlein went from frank socialist (Upton Sinclair’s EPIC) to McCarthy apologist to Goldwater Republican and then just got more and more disgusted with the administrative state until he died in 1988.

        2. He was a strong nationalist. He wrote again and again about the horrors of globalism and one-world government. “Free Men”, a short story, is one. “Friday”, a novel, are just the first two that come to mind.

        3. Since when is saying anything general about the human race as a whole tantamount to globalism?

Quit looking at everything through the same pinhole lens of race, dude!

        • Jarek October 8, 2022 at 10:35 am #

He said he was proud of the entire human race, substituting it for what he had just said about Americans. A classic technique. Not any more of course since White Americans are openly seen and called trash now by these people.

I’m not saying he would have done this of course. A man of his time. One of the lower stairs upon which the upper ones depend. Or in this case, one of the upper ones in a descending staircase upon which the lower ones depend.

He argued against a border with Mexico towards the end of his life. He was no longer a nationalist. That’s by definition.

    • MaryQueen October 7, 2022 at 2:34 pm #

It’s great ’til the last 4 paragraphs, which sounds like he believes in fairy stories (space travel) and globalism.

But yes, the first few paragraphs are excellent and I agree with them.

      • beantownbill. October 7, 2022 at 4:03 pm #

I know you don’t like science fiction, but Heinlein was one of the SF greats. He wrote one of the most popular 1960’s novels, “Stranger in a Strange Land”. It was so hippyish.

He was the author who in 1940 wrote an extremely accurate story called Blowups Happen, of how to develop a nuclear bomb. This was before the Manhattan Project ever reached public knowledge. It was so accurate that the Feds wanted to know how he penetrated the high security of the project. They investigated him thoroughly and finally determined he just figured out how to do it on his own.

        • MaryQueen October 7, 2022 at 4:55 pm #

I actually like him, and some sci fi. I read “Stranger in a Strange Land.” Great novel! But really not about space so much… that was just the setting, if memory serves.

I’m guessing Heinlein is yet another artist that had CIA/Deep state ties. I find out more of them do all the time. That would explain why they knew the stuff they did.

          • hmuller October 7, 2022 at 5:10 pm #

Heinlein wrote “The Moon is a Harsh Mistress” in which he revealed he is very pro libertarian and against authoritarianism.

Heinlein was there as the deep state was still in diapers, consulting with the Navy over launching missiles from ships, and such. He was motivated by concern over getting nuked by the Soviets, who were not even surprised when we baked Nagasaki and Hiroshima. I think his intentions were noble, but you know how that goes.

Heinlein could never quite stomach that hippies had made him a guru. He always said, “I wasn’t providing answers, just asking questions.”

I think you have “Blowup Happen” conflated with someone else’s story, although Heinlein certainly foresaw a lot!

No. From 1946 onward, he was totally against the UN and all that crap. His most famous novel’s backdrop was a goddamn nightmare of globalist thuggery. Stranger in a Strange Land.

The Birchers were ahead of their time and knew that the Bankers had funded the Communists of course. Way ahead since most people still don’t know this. And even when they do, they don’t “get it” and see the implications.

      • hmuller October 7, 2022 at 5:33 pm #

I have a new Kennedy assassination theory.

Joe DiMaggio was behind it all. He blamed the Kennedy’s for Marilyn’s death. Hiring mob hitmen with Jack Ruby’s help was no problem. They even had a chump named Oswald all set up with bogus evidence pointing at him.

The second assassination came five years later to throw off any suspicions of a connection.

Simon and Garfunkel suspected the truth, “where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio, our nation turns its suspicious eyes on you.”

I have much more which I dare not tell.

Ok, the above was written in jest.

But here’s a factoid you can look up quickly on Google. Don’t believe me.

Speed of light: 299,792 kilometers per second.

Latitude of the Great Pyramid at Giza:
          29.9792 degrees.

This number brings us to a square 35 by 35 feet. Note this coordinate does not used degrees, minutes, and seconds. Rather it measures the digital value within a degree.

So is it a coincidence, or did someone leave us bread crumbs ?

          • Jarek October 8, 2022 at 10:51 am #

If you want to get anywhere, you have to change it all into “pyramid inches”.

The Great Pyramid was an observatory, a granary, and a monument of prophecy all in one.

Correlate the pyramid inches with Bible verses and you’re cooking with gas.

          • hmuller October 8, 2022 at 12:44 pm #

Jarek, it’s my understanding that (unlike the Luxor Casino in Las Vegas) the pyramids at Giza are not hollow. They are mostly solid stone with a few chambers and passageways.

So how could they have been granaries?

          • Jarek October 8, 2022 at 2:00 pm #

My point is that in the conspiracy theory world there’s imaginative speculation but there’s also undeniable fact. Our job is to use our best judgment to separate the two.

Certain critics who shall remain as nameless as they are clueless claim we are all crazy and have no judgment. Without examining any evidence, they pronounce it all bogus and urge faith in the government narrative promulgated by the MSM – apparently, flawless sources of truth to such critics.

        • hmuller October 8, 2022 at 10:38 am #

This is encapsulated in the mottos “trust the science.” Or even worse “the science is fixed”.

So don’t trust your own lying eyes, don’t trust your own logical thinking abilities, don’t trust your lifetime of experience. Trust what those in authority tell you is the “the science”.

Of course, we know the science is never “fixed”, but always open to revision as additional data comes in. That plus the corrupting role of money has exposed these authorities as the lying rat-shits they are.

    • hmuller October 7, 2022 at 2:24 pm #

I was at the pharmacy picking up a prescription for my father the other day. They have a Covid vaccination alcove. I heard a father telling his son, 7 or 8 yrs old, “I’m so proud of you.”
I thought: yeah, how proud will you be of yourself if serious side effects kill or disable junior?

      • tresho October 7, 2022 at 2:31 pm #

‘They have a Covid vaccination alcove. I heard a father telling his son, 7 or 8 yrs old, “I’m so proud of you.”’ I have seen many “vaccination alcoves” in various outlets. ZERO have been labeled “Covid vaccination alcoves’. Pause & reflect whether the child received a COVID vaccination or something else.

        • hmuller October 7, 2022 at 4:55 pm #

You’re right, it could have been for the regular flu. But that’s all the shots the pharmacy does. They don’t administer dozens of various childhood vaccinations. Pediatricians do that.

Have no doubt, plenty of kids got their Covid vax there. Maybe most will be fine. But a lot won’t, and the health authorities know this. Probably always have known it.

Here’s a very possible “false flag” incident that could easily happen at any moment: A “tactical nuke” explodes near the surface of the Atlantic Ocean, but a fair distance away from any populated shoreline. A US nuclear sub and a Russian nuclear sub both “go missing” at that very instant. Neither is ever heard from again. Radioactive debris may or may not be found. Russian naval commander Arkhipov has been off duty for many decades now.

  37. Paula D October 7, 2022 at 2:34 pm #

Is it even possible to get out of this mess we are in?

I watched a video of a convenience store being trashed by teenaged joggers, apparently taken by the worker behind the counter, because a woman in front of the counter was insistently demanding that he make her a sandwich, while the mob raged through the store.

Seriously? She ignores what is happening and focuses on her stomach?

How could they be stopped? It no longer works to have one cop step into the store, while the entire group scatters “Cheese it, the cops!”

And then there are the criminals at the top of the system, the ones who loot and trash the entire country, not just one convenience store.

How to stop them? They don’t worry about any enforcement of the laws, just like the rampaging teenagers. They know they will get away with any atrocity.

I think we’re screwed. No wonder so many people are cheering on the nuclear bombs.

The spectacle of the breakdown of western civilization is not pretty to watch and, yeah, it makes me think we’re doomed.

      • Night Owl October 7, 2022 at 3:06 pm #

I agree, but there is a parallel society coming together.

New media outlets popping up, professionals banding together to offer services, etc.

What I am concerned about most is the claim from the WEFers and most recently Jerome Powell that CBDCs are coming in 5 years.

This was the ultimate goal all along. Tracking and tracing of you and every purchase you make. And eventually, having you on a government stipend issued in this currency.

If they get that locked in, and they claim they will, then the battle is going to be far more difficult that many can even conceive at present.

This is why I truly hate the shoulder-shrugging jellyfish out there. They are the enablers. They are worse than the perpetrators, because they simply don’t care about anything or anyone other than themselves.

They will be the ones to usher in the tyranny.

        Weakness in its purest form.

        • MaryQueen October 7, 2022 at 5:00 pm #

Yes, the PTB can’t do it without the enablers, that is for sure. But if we hate the enablers, then we destroy community.

Therein is the catch-22 the PTB just love.

I have more empathy for the enablers once they either wake up or cop to it, as many have (even up here). What is our alternative? To keep blaming them?

I agree the ones that are too selfish and stupid or scared to see reality and keep pushing the nefarious agenda are scumbags or worthless, but again, my beef is with the people engineering this. Not the victims.

          • Night Owl October 7, 2022 at 5:19 pm #

I can’t really follow, TBH. The propaganda campaign used over the past few years was designed in coordination with psychologists, who created the nudge units and designed much of the sloganeering we were exposed to.

The campagin messaging was modeled after narcissistic abuse. When you look into narcissistic abuse, it is always the enablers who make the abuse possible.

It is the same here. Those who shrug their shoulders as the cattle car door is closed on the actual victims are as guilty as the criminals.

In the 40s they called them Good Germans. There is no term for them today, but I am sure that is just a matter of time.

          • MaryQueen October 7, 2022 at 8:53 pm #

Yes, but the propaganda campaign is the evil – not the people who it worked on.

            IMHO.

            No, they are evil, too.

“Consider for a moment that your personal ruin — the loss of your freedoms, your livelihoods, and your posterity — is at stake behind the more general demolition of our society.”

You can lose your ‘freedoms’. You can lose your livelihood. You can lose your posterity. You might even lose your posterior. But no one can take away your freedom of mind and thought. Only you control those precious things. And the Dark Side Predators just effing hate that with a passion. That’s why They lie and propagandize and gaslight and defame and dehumanize you in every way possible. They want your SOUL.

Let’s see. Who is it that we were told goes around collecting souls out at the World’s Crossroads? Could it be… Could it be… And does THAT make THEM…?

The only personal ruin you can truly suffer is the surrender of your soul to these bastards. All of those other loses are temporary.

“There is much chatter about whether this election will be allowed to happen.”

There is much at stake in this election. If the Blue Party wins… Deep State wins. But if the Red Party wins… then… uh… Deep State still wins. Maybe it doesn’t matter if the election happens anyway. It’s just a feel-good bone that is thrown every few years to keep the For-Erasure Class from feeling too glum.

“The Party of Chaos… corrupting the news business and subverting the new social media. The result is a public culture of pervasive and immersive lying…”

We all know that Their default setting is… when the Truth is your enemy… you have to kill it. And when your entire Party of Chaos is built upon a foundation of lies and deceit… the Truth must be extinguished at all costs. We are witnessing a Party in desperation fighting to keep the nasty quality of truth that wants always wants to rise to the surface from corrupting the Public minds with actual reality. Truth – Be Gone! Back! Back! Go Away!

“… how is our country any better than the most overt petty despotisms around the world?”

We still have our choice of toppings to go on pizza. That fact alone keeps most of the locals happy. In other overt despotisms you might not get any pizza at all. Suck on that, World. Just another way of being ‘Indispensable’.

“How does it deserve the citizens’ respect or even compliance?”

Government does not require the respect of its citizens. It only needs and demands compliance. Rule at the force of raw thuggery. A real evolved concept there, isn’t it. The law of the jungle that’s necessary to sustain the Flower of Civilization.

“The rule of the Woke Jacobin maniacs will end.”

I am in the tinfoil crowd if that means I can look up and see spraying at the same time a jet is leaving a contrail that dissipates in seconds.

            Geoengineering is flat earth now.

            I have heard it all.

You might want to take a gader at the nearly 2-hour long video, full of respectable folks, as well as military and CIA talking heads telling you they spray.

It is even easier than typing the words “flat earth.”

      yes, great doco.
Dane Wigington has been shouting about this for years as have I.
      his web site is geoengineeringwatch.org
Yesterday it was back over my skies, after quite a long break.
been going on in front of our faces for more than twenty years, much more, but I have been seeing it (and pointing it out to people) for at least 25 years.
      Nobody seems to care.
      same as it ever was.

      • MaryQueen October 8, 2022 at 10:58 am #

Yes, I started pointing it out to people like 22 years ago.

Not sure how anyone would believe that a regular contrail spends hours spreading across the sky, when they didn’t used to until the 1990s.

Also, if you see a jet flying at the same time as one of the sprayers, you can compare the contrails. The jet’s dissipate quickly the others do not.

        • 100th Avatar October 8, 2022 at 3:40 pm #

LOL! This is absolutely bonkers. Ya’ll nuttier than a squirrel turd.

So “they’re” spraying themselves, friends, family, crops, dogs, kittens…. for what?

So they have the jet fuel industry, the airline industry, and a host of others all in on turning contrails into chemtrails… for what?

Do you kooks even think these wacky ideas through?

          This is so embarrassingly foolish.
I’d say it’s right up there with flat-earth and the moon is hollow people… and don’t forget the Nazis hiding under Antarctica with aliens…

My theory is that these kooks are perhaps bots who serve to marginalize a site. You have “commenters” post racist and insane ideas so as to stigmatize the host and the entire site.

“Oh you got that info from Kunstler? He’s really popular with misogynists, nazi sympathizers, racists and flat-earth rightwing nut-jobs”

“well, uh, yeah, but those are just the commenters”

      • Anthea October 8, 2022 at 11:56 am #

Hoo boy! There are few things that piss me off more than the crap our PTB tries to pass off as literature, art, and music.

They call us Philistines if we’re onto the fraudulence of modern “art,” while laughing in their sleeves.

Back in the late 70s, the city of Kansas City, Missouri, paid a shit-ton of money for several huge “sculptures” to adorn its parks. They were, quite literally, 20-foot-tall plastic sculptures of dog shit, in a realistic-looking dogshit brown.

If you think about it, the degradation of the arts is identical to destroying people’s ability to distinguish between truth and falsehood, good and evil.

They are literally training you not to be able to distinguish between dogshit and Michaelangelo–or telling you that they are equivalent, or even that dogshit is better, being more “modern” and enlightened.

        • MaryQueen October 8, 2022 at 2:21 pm #

So well said. Mostly, art is used to launder money. The people chosen as ‘artists’ most often suck. They also have a big warehouse full of assistants doing the actual work.

  46. Paula D October 7, 2022 at 4:52 pm #

Yesterday Mary linked to a Daily Mail article in which Ukrainians boasted about hunting down “Russian collaborators” “like pigs”.

Today my husband tells me that NPR is reporting that they have found a mass grave of 500 people in Kharkov (which the Russians left almost a month ago) and they are accusing the Russians!

This is an IQ test. As we know half of the population has IQs below 100, by definition, but anyone who believes that this was a Russian atrocity is a moron (IQ 51-70).

    • MaryQueen October 7, 2022 at 5:25 pm #

Reminds me of the atrocities the ‘enemy’ (e.g., victim) always reportedly committed in order to sway the American public to want them dead. Syria, Iraq, Iran… the public keeps falling for it.

I remember the big one to justify Iraq was that 15 year old’s story about the babies being thrown out of incubators.

Ironically, yesterday someone posted an article here about some 18 year old nutter actually doing that and worse, at some hospital, and it wasn’t even widely reported.

      • Paula D October 7, 2022 at 9:57 pm #

        Good points, Mary.

    • Jarek October 8, 2022 at 10:58 am #

What did you conclude about Putin and the Russian vaccine? Is the Sputnik vaccine much less harmful than our ones – and thus forcing the conscripts to take it not an atrocity?

      • MaryQueen October 8, 2022 at 1:13 pm #

I posted about that, it’s apparently not true they are forcing the vax on the conscripts or anyone in the military.

        • Jarek October 8, 2022 at 2:05 pm #

That’s good. What about the vaccine itself – same as ours or better?

          • MaryQueen October 8, 2022 at 2:21 pm #

            No idea.

          • Paula D October 8, 2022 at 6:42 pm #

It’s the same as the AZ or the J&J. Instead of using nanolipidproteins to force mRNA into the cell, the way Pfizer and Moderna do, they use an adenovirus to force DNA into the cell.

And then the same thing happens. The cell produces spike proteins which are released into the bloodstream and cause all kinds of havoc.
So yeah, if Russians get the real thing, they have side effects.

    • KesaAnna October 8, 2022 at 4:45 pm #

I try to withhold judgment until I see an actual smoking gun.

      500 ?

500 is certainly the biggest metric in the world for the person who gets their head blown off .

By other metrics , though ?

Well , 500 may be just the casualties suffered in a nasty skirmish, for example .

Plenty of possibilities with a ” small ” number like 500 , especially in war , which is anything but a situation normal – type situation.

But , let us say that it was an honest – to – God Einsatzgruppen – type Russian atrocity ?

      I suppose that then that Paula D , at least , would understand where I’m coming from when my response would be ;

” Yeah , and how many atrocities did the U.S. Empire commit last week ? ”

” What- about- ism ” folks would say.

But that label would hardly bother me .

      • Paula D October 8, 2022 at 6:45 pm #

Russians would have to be magic to occupy a territory for 6 months and only commit mass murder after they leave.
What is actually magic is the ability of the media to make people believe absurdities.

        But I get your point.

  47. cowbell81 October 7, 2022 at 5:03 pm #

Maybe House members simply want someone with a higher IQ and competency level to get the job done? Also, they are blaming low pay on lack of Blacks in the job; apparently Whites have more slush funds to live off of. Yeah, let’s give staffers a 6-figure salary, this ought to solve things. This should be nothing more than a middling entry level job, akin to working at Wal-Mart or McDonalds (California wages excluded).

    Following article excerpt:
Top House staffers are still overwhelmingly white, study finds

The senior aides who hold the most sway with members of Congress have grown more diverse in recent years, but still not nearly as diverse as the nation as a whole.

A new study by the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies finds that people of color now occupy 18 percent of the top staff positions in the House — a 4-point increase since 2018, but still much lower than the 40 percent of Americans who aren’t white.

The study notes that the House has moved to address the lack of diversity since the group’s last report in 2018, most notably by establishing a new Office of Diversity and Inclusion.

While there is a representation deficit among top staffers, an ODI survey shows that staffers in general look more like America. In 2021, 69.3 percent of House staffers who responded to a survey were White and 15.2 percent were Black — both slightly overrepresented in comparison to their share of the U.S. population (60 and 12.4 percent, respectively).

The relatively low pay for staff has been cited as a cause for the lack of diversity on the Hill. Congressional staff positions often operate like glorified internships that lead to lucrative lobbying jobs, but not everyone can afford to live on poverty wages in a city as expensive as Washington. Given the racial wealth gap — white families have eight times the wealth of Black families on average — low pay makes it harder for otherwise qualified candidates of color to seek staffer positions.

    • MaryQueen October 7, 2022 at 5:26 pm #

Sounds like the number of black people is relative to the percentage of black people in America: 12-14%.

So how is that not ‘diverse’?

      CTR/Postmodernist bollocks is so tiresome.

      • MaryQueen October 7, 2022 at 5:28 pm #

        Sorry, “CRT”

    • hmuller October 8, 2022 at 5:43 pm #

Do people with degrees in bean counting have nothing better to do than these kind of studies?

      Well guess what!

Black men are over represented in professional basketball.

White lesbians are over represented on roller derby teams.

Hispanics are over represented in the landscaping industry.

Gay men are over represented the hairdressing industry.

Asians are over represented in the computer industry.

Jews are over represented in law, banking, the mass media and entertainment.

Indian subcontinent people are over represented.in the medical and computer industries.

I can go on all day. Does anyone really expect or want some kind of strict quota system in place everywhere? Or is the goal to selectively target areas where too many white people enjoy success? Replacing merit with identity politics seems to be the agenda.

      • MaryQueen October 9, 2022 at 12:08 pm #

        Great points, hmuller.

    Hi JHK Admin,
“In my soon-to-drop next podcast, blogger Tom Luongo (of Gold, Goats, and Guns) introduces a surprising twist: the election takes place, he says, but the Party of Chaos finds a way to delay the announcement of the results via procedural shenanigans that go on for weeks after November 8, leaving the country in a state of anxious limbo. What an idea! Such a strategy would wreck the last shred of public trust in elections without having to cancel, postpone, or overtly overthrow the process. It would also invite just the sort of public protest that the Party of Chaos can spin into another insurrection narrative.”

And will we hear a “Well, I was wrong about that one” after the election, if as I suspect it doesn’t happen the way you are speculating it might? And if the usual suspects on the right decry the election as having been rigged–should the outcome not be their liking–will we hear people here advise them to pull there heads in? Or is the only result that won’t get people riled up about cheating, etc., be a victory for the Party of (non)-Chaos–though what party that might be eludes me at the moment…

I’m sure they’ll waste no time in opening hearings to define what a woman is and that a man can’t become pregnant. I expect they’ll ban biological males from competing in Women’s amateur sports. All good things.

I do not think they will abandon military aid to Ukraine, nor will they seek peace with Russia. If anything they’ll ratchet up the war noise. They also won’t interfere with the Fed and other than call for business tax relief they’ll do nothing for the economy that helps the average taxpayer.

Chaos isn’t a party its a perverse Solution. US global superiority is at risk, the fiat currency is being challenged and the Deep State will use all means imaginable to keep the owners of the Western World in the lifestyle they have enjoyed.

The Western World lifestyle? Former Vice President Dick Cheney famously declared, “The American way of life is non-negotiable.”
According to this Dick, we’ll be enjoying the good life for centuries to come. In other words, don’t bother trying to negotiate with us about this issue. We are going to be Dicks about it forever.

Degrowth…wise words…thanks. In the meantime, kissee, kissee, kissee, Russia, Russia, Russia. I’m starting a Joe McCarthy write-in campaign. Ah, but I have no decency, right CFN?

No, you just have no sense. Speaking of which, I sense that you were one of those umbilical cord babies, Lil’ Tommy. Did they make you ride the short bus up there in Minnetonka? Tragic, I guess.

You’re one of the village idiots, but every village needs at least one.

      So, shine on, lil’ tommy!

Its being reported that electric vehicles are bursting into flames in Florida.

Yet another problem with this failing tech they are pushing off on us.

Electric car owners have seen their rides catch fire after becoming waterlogged during Hurricane Ian and it can take hours to put the conflagrations out, a top Florida official warned Thursday.

As the Sunshine State recovers from the punishing Category 4 storm that made landfall last week, first responders have faced further destruction from electric vehicles that were submerged in water from the extensive flooding and later caught fire, Jimmy Patronis, Florida’s chief financial officer and state fire marshal, said on Twitter.

“There’s a ton of EVs disabled from Ian,” he tweeted. “As those batteries corrode, fires start.

“That’s a new challenge that our firefighters haven’t faced before. At least on this kind of scale.”

        Burn baby, burn!

Sometimes EVs burst into flames for no apparent reason. Like I mentioned we had two Teslas ignite last week, one in Avon and one in Stamford. In Stanford, the professional FD got the fire under control in a matter of hours after dumping tons of water on it; in Avon however the VFD had trouble — the car burned hot and really couldn’t be extinguished. It ended up a glob of melted plastic and metal smoldering on the side of the road.

Water causes lithium metal to smoulder, then ignite.

The EV batteries are made of sheet lithium metal.
