“Our utter incompetence actually helps us,” declared Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI Peter Strzok to his confidante (10,000 text messages) and paramour, FBI attorney Lisa Page, when he discovered on January 4, 2017, that the agency had omitted to close the barren Crossfire Razor case against General Michael Flynn.

There you have a perfect summary of the fantastic hubris at work in the agency-gone-rogue under then-FBI Director Jim “I sent them” Comey days before the swearing-in of a president somehow mistakenly elected by bamboozled voters — or so the thinking apparently went at the highest level there. Or what passed for thinking.

General Flynn, you see, having been anathematized by Barack Obama, and black-spotted by the so-called Interagency (i.e. the giant hairball of competing spy shops set up after the 9/11 fiasco), was about to assume the pivotal job of White House National Security Advisor, and it was known that he was fixing to change things up with all that. He had been director of one such shop, the Defense Intelligence Agency, for a few years and he had a fair idea just how lawlessly debauched the Intel Community had grown under CIA Director John Brennan and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, not to mention Mr. Comey, and they all knew that. So, General Flynn had to go, and then get squeezed hard to somehow rat-out his boss, the incoming President Trump, against whom the Interagency had nothing but a dossier of already discredited oppo research baloney courtesy of the Clinton campaign.

The pretext was some conversations General Flynn had with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak a few weeks before the inauguration. The FBI cooked up a “narrative” that it was criminal misbehavior for a duly appointed incoming NSA to confab with foreign diplomats — a completely specious notion, of course. The Interagency’s errand boys in the press ran with that preposterous story, and the inconsolable cohort of Hillary voters herding up to form “the Resistance” went along with the gag out of sheer, crazed bitterness.

Attorney General William Barr neatly disposed of that yarn Thursday in his remarkable chat with Catherine Herridge of CBS News (transcript here), saying:

[H]e [General Flynn] was the designated national security adviser for President-Elect Trump, and was part of the transition, which is recognized by the government and funded by the government as an important function to bring in a new administration. And it is very typical, very common, for the national security team of the incoming president to communicate with foreign leaders.”

Could it be plainer? In dismissing the case, Mr. Barr gave such a concise, lucid, and comprehensive account of his action that the enraged cadres of the Resistance immediately set their hair on fire and lit up the cable news channels with thunderous objurgation. The most amusing instance featured the apoplectic homunculus Jerrold Nadler, who threatened to haul Mr. Barr before his House Judiciary Committee to do some ‘splainin’ in the matter. That’s a colloquy I’d pay to watch — the stolid AG laying it out again in calm, straight talk with Mr. Nadler in such a stammering fury that his bariatric surgery adhesions finally give out and the committee chamber gets splattered with  bits of brisket, kugel, and Dr. Brown’s Cel-Ray tonic.

Another ripe one was the MSNBC session between Resistance errand-boy Chris Hayes and the redoubtably mendacious Congressman Adam Schiff, whose own overloaded garbage barge of seditious perfidy was blown out of the water with one well-aimed torpedo by new Acting Director of National Intelligence, Richard Grenell, who threatened to immediately release Mr. Schiff’s trove of long-hidden interview transcripts from the House Intelligence Committee 2017 hearings on RussiaGate if the congressman did not do it himself and at once. The transcripts, you see, completely refute Mr. Schiff’s own longstanding edifice of falsehood about having evidence of collusion between Mr. Trump and Russia. If the Democratic Party had any dignity, they’d take away his committee chairmanship, at least.

We await additional action from Mr. Grenell over Mr. Schiff’s still-concealed transcript of Intel Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson’s secret testimony in last year’s impeachment hearings. Congresspersons enjoy limited immunity against the fallacious and slanderous things they say on-the-job, but not from felony crimes, and Mr. Schiff may find himself liable for something like seditious conspiracy around his intrigues with so-called “whistleblower” Eric Ciaramella, and others, in the UkraineGate sting operation.

A great deal of evidence of official criminal malfeasance has spilled into the public arena over the past three years, but recently it has turned into a flood, perhaps due to Mr. Grenell’s efforts, perhaps due to the posse of attorneys around Mr. Barr, including especially Jeffrey Jensen and John Durham. The official narratives of the RussiaGate conspirators are now openly overturned. Too many people know everything. The chronology of their misdeeds is now clearly established — for instance, the fact that the highest officials in the FBI and the DOJ knew by January 2017 that their sole asseveration of Russian collusion, the Steele dossier, was an utter, concocted, crock-of-shit.

Which means, of course, that the Mueller Investigation — begun months later — was also an adventure in bad faith, malicious falsehood, and official treachery. Everyone connected with it ought to be running scared now. Surely some will be indicted and tried, perhaps many. It will go hard on the whole Resistance, including the millions of rank-and-file Democrats who linked arms to cheerlead countless acts of legal depravity that have undermined American principles of justice and fairness. Accounting for all that in the courts will put extra strains on this society beset by the corona virus crisis and the harshest economic disaster in US history. It’s a hard passage, but it can’t be avoided.

The compliant and complicit news media has a lot to answer for, not only to the public but to their boards of directors — if those boards still have a vestige of decency. But for the moment they are still pretending that there’s nothing to see. Sooner or later, though, it will hit them, all those editors and cable news executives — that in their bubble of arrogant self-righteousness, they parlayed away their self-respect, their professional reputations, and their personal honor.

Two of my most respected presidents, Truman and Kennedy, had some comments on the CIA. Truman is quoted as saying that the worst mistake he made as president was to have allowed the organization of the CIA now that it was unleashed on the world. Kennedy said in open company that he was going to break it up and scatter it on the wind. They knew the hidden power of this secretive organization and its potential for harm, similar to that of the KGB. Sadly, we now know they were right, but what to do?

    • JohnAZ May 8, 2020 at 10:29 am #

If you have not watched Homeland, what a ride on the CIA express.

It is like the chicken and the egg, what came first?

The CIA or the world reaction?

      • zenfugue May 8, 2020 at 3:50 pm #

“world reaction”? What exactly is that?

      • MontanaMan May 9, 2020 at 11:22 am #

My wife and I have watched it from the first show to the last here at home safely. On our small patch of 365 acres, in our log cabin 5 miles from the Canadian border right outside of our little RED RED REPUBLICAN ALL WHITE NON-DIVERSIFIED, THANK YOU GOD!!! Looooooooow crime County.

But I digress. It has been an ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING FABULOUS SHOW!!!!! BRAVO ? BRAVO ? BRAVO ? To each show!! how we wish they would seriously think about picking it up and keep going!!

    • BackRowHeckler May 8, 2020 at 2:14 pm #

Truman and Kennedy, righteous Democrats I most certainly would have backed had I been around in their day.

      • par4 May 8, 2020 at 2:44 pm #

Are you aware that Truman had lower approval rating than George W. Bush? He was a disaster. The foreign policy decisions he and Ike made are still being mishandled to this day. Hint Israel and Iran.

        • BackRowHeckler May 8, 2020 at 3:20 pm #

Never knew that. I do know he barely squeaked thru in 1948.

It is good to get some of the details of this coup attempt out in the public at last–Although I don’t expect to see any coverage of it on CNN anytime soon.
Great reporting, Jim! It reminds me of the kind of reporting you could sometimes still read in a major newspaper when I was a child.

I don’t know Nightowl, I am seeing that even at the small, local level, government corruption is not only acceptable to any and every superior level of authority, but is almost totally accepted by the general public. Remember, in Chicago during Prohibition, Al Capone had thousands more friends than Elliot Ness did.

          • Nightowl May 9, 2020 at 5:42 pm #

And Trump has publically stated on multiple occasions that more is coming.

You have no faith in anything.

          • Walter B May 10, 2020 at 10:17 pm #

I have great faith, but not much in the systems of man for he is flawed and easily corrupted. I do know a small few that can be counted on to never stray from what is right, but I am not convinced that there are enough to turn the tide that has set in. It would be wonderful to be wrong my friend, but I ain’t holdin’ my breath waiting.

      “At last…”
Frustrating, to understate the situation by orders of magnitude.
The truth has been there for anyone willing to see it since, almost, the day that President Trump took office.
The MSM truly is the enemy of the American People. I don’t get how people could be so wrong so long…

Political doggerel is a time honored tradition. Still extant is a graffito about Julius Cesar, from ancient Rome that calls him:

“Every man’s woman and every woman’s man.” He was a notorious cocksman.

Such doggerel is highly effective, and as Mr. Miyagi said of the praying mantis move, “No can defend.”

          • draupnir May 8, 2020 at 3:16 pm #

Some of the Democrats are now admitting that, yes, he’s a rapist, but they’re going to vote for him anyway. I think that’s something I can work with. Give me a couple of hours. However, spurious and vile Limericks, the more scandalous and base the better are about the extent of my talent for poetry. It would take a better mind than mine to set something like that to music. I’ve got a tin ear and it’s all noise to me.

There once was a stripper called Dallas,
Who fell on Hunt Biden’s phallus.
        “Don’t worry,” she cried,
        “My tubes have been tied.”
She’ll get child support from the palace.

At 43, Hunt joined the Navy,
          With direct commission…seemed crazy.
          His Daddy had clout,
          But Hunt was a lout,
          As a JAG without class,
He was out on his ass,
Then Ukraine! (His dad bailed him out!)

            A dick you don’t lick.
            Still a dick

A paean to the waters of Old Mexico,
Where the pasty white tourists eventually go,
            The water looks fine,
            But destroys your behind,
Drink beer in the Cantina, not water you find,
Many an expat recalls with some horror,
Montezuma’s Revenge made their asses much sorer,
Now no one argues the truth of the sayin’,

Grateful for this help finding a way through the hall of mirrors. I cannot shake the feeling of guilt as a citizen who has somehow allowed such a nefarious bunch of grifters and shills to come to power. Becoming a hermit is not an option—I am too gregarious for isolation. But I wish I did not feel that voting is just an exercise in selecting the next batch of felons to run a criminal enterprise,

    • WayfaringStranger May 8, 2020 at 2:02 pm #

Time for some “tough love”, Dearie.

That guilt you feel is really a sad kind of arrogance. A form of manly denial. As if you can fix all things. You need to look mercilessly at that thought process and get rid of it.
You do not have any power over, or influence on, any of this. You are small and insignificant. As are we all when it comes to our government today. CERTAINLY you have less than zero impact on the CIA. Most of your voting, my voting, anyone’s voting – is meaningless, changes no outcome, is a charade.
None of us allowed any of this anymore than we “allow” ourselves to be victims in a home invasion, rape, murder, burglary etc etc.
Face all of our powerlessness in a nation beset with off-the-leash officials and secret services.

If you want to feel like shit then feel like shit fully connected to reality.
Now go forth Brother, and guilt no more.

      • James Kuehl May 8, 2020 at 3:13 pm #

If accepting responsibility for the collective mess we’ve made is arrogance, then I’m guilty as charged. I’ve served on advisory boards for charities and schools, toiled on county planning commissions, and volunteered on countless committees in communities large and small over the years. The goal is to help push the boulder up the mountain a little bit each day. You can blame some amorphous entity for our woes, but I know we all own this. I come honestly to my grief in watching our country digressed to the overweight, under-read, selfish, polarized mess it is now.

        • bluedog May 9, 2020 at 8:59 am #

Yep the problem is that no one wants to accept responsibility, uncle is the nanny for he tells you so, and that’s why you have these so called planning boards who couldn’t plan a family outing, but yet have their hands in your pockets.Seen to many of their screw ups and projects that don’t work but cost you a ton of money.Take these so called planning boards and give them a job that they can handle, perhaps counting rolls of toiiet paper back in the back of a warehouse, for then there would be less screw ups and they would be doing something productive.!!!!

  6. akmofo May 8, 2020 at 10:39 am #

President Trump described the corrupt FBI investigators in the SPYGATE hoax as ‘human scum’. We all know the conspiracy goes much much deeper than the FBI. The whole top echelon of the Obama administration including the Clinton mafia, are co-conspirators in TREASON. My instinct tells me they are all commie foreign agents working for and sponsored by CHINA. This connection to CHINA needs to be seriously investigated and publicly exposed. These people should be facing prosecutions charges for treason and suffer public executions as CHINESE commie agents. These people all worked together, they all knew each other, they all had confidence in their conspiracy, they had the backing of the CHINA corrupted MSM, they were all managed and acted as a group. And a huge group it was. The number of characters involved is just staggering. Not only the people actively criminally involved, but also the people that silently allowed them to operate and this treason to occur. They all need to be thoroughly investigated, exposed, brought to account and executed.

I know some people are allergic to “Conspiracy Theories”, but I am not. It’s amazing how many of them “Conspiracy Theories” turn out to be true.

    • JohnAZ May 8, 2020 at 10:47 am #

When many “coincidences” occur in perfect order for someone to profit from the results, only a fool would not believe in conspiracy.

The coordination of Russiagate and Ukraine gate is amazing. It scares me about the possibility of Corona gate or China gate.

I don’t know why anybody would now agree to be tested.

In Georgia, they are picking out 420 households (random) and sending in teams to knock on their doors and ask questions and take a blood sample from every member of that household. I can see it now. This must be resisted strenuously. They’re just going to show up at your door without even calling and making an appointment?

“Hello, I’m here from the government to traumatize your young children. Would you please hold this one down for us? She’s not cooperating and we need a good draw. Then, if you could lasso that one that just streaked out the back door, we’d really appreciate it. Oh, and we’re going to have to use a vein in that baby’s foot or maybe a cutdown (exactly what it sounds like). That’s going to hurt plenty..” Would people really allow them to enter their house and violate their children in their own home, their safe place?

          • Majella May 9, 2020 at 2:57 am #

Sounds horrendous – beyond contemplation. Do you have a source for this outrage?

It’s supposed to be voluntary, but I imagine if the Health Department surprises you by showing up in force with phlebotomists and probably a cop for security, it might be pretty intimidating.

          • sophia May 9, 2020 at 7:07 pm #

I saw the video of the head of the WHO, who speaks like an Englishman, speaking of doing this, and then I also saw the video of some sort of official saying they were going to do it in Ventura County in California, and that he expected it would be done in many counties and in fact probably in all the states.

He mentioned that the home might have only one bathroom for a family, so how to quarantine the sick one? Great. So that right there means poorer people will more often be targets.

Can you imagine being sick and being dragged against your will to some institution somewhere?

And the conspiracy skuttlebutt is that there are many human trafficking rings that are losing access to their usual sources, so if they take your kids, and if you are not allowed to visit as is usual now in hospitals, then they can tell you your kid died, even though that is very unlikely, and you would never see your child again.

I know, that they could not pull off such a thing easily, but being dragged out of your home against your will is about on the level of Pol Pot. What about small children? And the kids aren’t vulnerable to this virus anyway, and they never said they were going to stop the virus, just slow it down. So if they are dragging people out of their homes we have just gone way beyond any plausible good will from the government. We are in serious oppression category.

It is outrageous that they would even speak such a thing.

            And the tests aren’t accurate.

Oh, did you guys hear about the paw paw that tested positive for corona? Now either the test is even worse than I thought or that lab was corrupt – but something ain’t right.

    • zekesdad May 8, 2020 at 11:02 am #

Your theory is interesting, but could you give some real evidence for it? I can think of some. The relationship between the Clintons and that guy named Charlie Tre as well as defense contractor Loral being allowed to sell missile guidance technology to China.

            Joseph Stalin

Ironic, don’t you think, given that Stalin was a Catholic priest. But I bet you didn’t know that. I bet you also didn’t know that communist Joseph Stalin left Catholic Churches untouched and unmolested but instituted a campaign of destruction of Orthodox Churches. Again, just a funny coincidence.

          • Janos Skorenzy May 8, 2020 at 2:07 pm #

Sophia: He’s half right and half wrong. The Anti-Christ will have two seats: Rome and Jerusalem. He focuses on Rome to hide the Jerusalem aspect and faction.

My careful readers can observe that I do not protect Rome at the expense of Jerusalem, I condemn both. But I champion good Priests and Bishops who are fighting against the rise of the False Church. If only he would do likewise against the False Synagogue.

          • Janos Skorenzy May 8, 2020 at 2:12 pm #

Took me less than a minute. From the wiki “Anti-Catholicism in the Soviet Union”:

The struggle against organized religion continued; it was especially vicious as far as Roman Catholicism was concerned, because it had ties beyond the limits of the Soviet sphere. Numerous members of the Catholic hierarchy were arrested and tried, including Cardinal Mindszenty in Hungary and Archbishop Beran in Czechoslovakia. The religious persecution survived even Stalin’s demise; the Primate of Poland, Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski, was arrested in September 1953.[6]

JS: Akmo is deep in some ways, but on anything to do with Christianity, he is simply not to be taken at face value. Check everything he says. He is far more likely to be wrong, than right. He hates Christianity and wishes to defame it all costs.

          • akmofo May 8, 2020 at 2:38 pm #

Jan, are those the names of the Catholic Churches that were destroyed by their hundreds just like their Orthodox counterparts? No, those are the names of some foreign nationals that were arrested and released. Big fscking deal. Stalin murdered millions of Russian nationals without blinking an eye.

As for synagogues and the Vatican tools dressed in black, I made myself very clear on that. They are foreign to Hebrew culture, and most Jews and Israelis simply ignore them as foreign Roman satire and an ugly foreign caricature. They keep to themselves and they don’t bother me, so I leave them alone. How do they bother you?

          • Janos Skorenzy May 8, 2020 at 2:58 pm #

Ok, but you do hate Christ just as they do. But no matter: the Anti-Christ will net you another way – thru your Jewish pride and Israeli patriotism. The Fathers are almost unanimous in saying that he will be an ethnic Jew – and he will be a universal genius with much to appeal to all kinds of people. He will appear to love Israel and the Jewish people and they will respond. In the end, he will sit in the rebuilt Temple as the Messiah.

          • akmofo May 8, 2020 at 3:16 pm #

I hate lies. Christ is a Roman lie meant as replacement theology to Judaism. Make your Christ a Hindu god and leave Judaism alone. Your Hindu Christ can argue for making Caesar and his Roman mafia a superior caste, which is basically what he does in your Roman scriptures, and all will be happy.

          • Janos Skorenzy May 8, 2020 at 3:39 pm #

As I said, that’s just what the Rabbis believe and the Talmud teaches. You have learned well, even if not directly from their mouths or their scripture. It came on the warm Israeli breeze and in your mother’s milk.

          • akmofo May 8, 2020 at 3:51 pm #

So we agreed you will make Mithras-Christ-Caesar a Hindu god and leave us out of it?

Stalin was an Orthodox seminarian in Georgia in his early youth; mostly to get away from his brutal father. He was a thoroughgoing atheist all his life and was kicked out of the seminary for his brutality. There were very few Catholic churches in Russia for him to destroy or I suppose he would have done. He destroyed the Ukrainian Catholic Church in West Ukraine after the Soviets took it in the aftermath of the War. The Ukrainian Catholic Church is in communion with Rome but continues the Orthodox Divine Liturgy. You are sorely ignorant of history, akmofo, as are most of you bigoted ilk

          • akmofo May 8, 2020 at 6:07 pm #

            Not so fast, shotho!

Josef Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili (December 18, 1878 – March 5, 1953), better known by his adopted name, Joseph Stalin (stalin meaning “made of steel”. Josef was born to influential Catholic parents Vissarion “Beso” Dzhugashvili and Ekaterina “Keke” Geladze. His father Beso was a successful and relatively wealthy local businessman. However, in later biographies, he is variously described as poor, dirt poor and a violent alcoholic. Whatever the real truth, Josef was accepted into the Catholic Cappuchin run school at Gori.

He graduated in 1892 first in his class and at the age of 14 he was accepted to enter the “Orthodox” Seminary of Tiflis (Tbilisi, Georgia), a Jesuit institution to be trained as a Jesuit priest. In spite of contrary history written about the Jesuit run seminary, the Jesuits remained in Russian territory after the order was banned by Alexander I in 1820, maintaining control of several institutions, including the Seminary of Tiflis. Stalin himself openly admitted the Jesuit control of the institution in his famous interview with Jewish Journalist Emil Ludwig (Cohen):

Ludwig) What impelled you to become an oppositionist?
Was it, perhaps, bad treatment by your parents?
Stalin) No. My parents were uneducated, but they did not treat me badly by any means. But it was a different matter at the Orthodox theological seminary which I was then attending. In protest against the outrageous regime and the Jesuitical methods prevalent at the seminary, I was ready to become, and actually did become, a revolutionary, a believer in Marxism as a really revolutionary teaching.

Ludwig: But do you not admit that the Jesuits have good points?
Stalin: Yes, they are systematic and persevering in working to achieve sordid ends but their principal method is spying, prying, worming their way into people’s souls and outraging their feelings.
What good can there be in that?
For instance, the spying in the hostel. At nine o’clock the bell rings for morning tea, we go to the dining-room, and when we return to our rooms we find that meantime a search has been made and all our chests have been ransacked … What good point can there be in that?

At Tiflis, Stalin’s closest friend was fellow classmate Krikor Bedros Aghajanian, the future Grégoire-Pierre Cardinal Agagianian, a powerful and ruthless Catholic cardinal who went on to control the death camps in Siberia under Stalin’s rule. While accounts of his time at Tiflis have been changed many times, it is universally accepted that Stalin was the star pupil of the seminary.

Yes, the whole meme of “Conspiracy Theories” was just a media driven Conspiracy by the Elite to cover up their own Conspiracies. It snags the half educated and wanna be intelligent. The less miseducated and the tremendously educated don’t fall for it since Conspiracy is the way the world works at all levels. It’s not always bad – people could be conspiring to give you a surprise birthday party for example. But face the fact: Among three people, a,b,c – ab will be conspiring in one way or another against c and cb against a, etc.

      • 100th Avatar May 8, 2020 at 2:27 pm #

Agree with Vlad here, although I’m not sure if it’s a matter of intelligence or socio-economic status.

Indeed, it is how the world works at all levels.

Arguably, even the poor, in other countries, understand a bribe to an official gets things done. In the US, we dress it up in legal armature, and must pay our bribes to attorneys and courts. A friend working for a major financial institution as in-house counsel explains it as a cost of doing business, or greasing the machine. A conspiracy? Paying fines and settlements? Knowing you’re skirting the law? It’s the American way.

Rules are perhaps for everyone, but successfully getting around them is assuredly not for the little people.

The supreme Techno-narcissist, Elon Musk (of highway holes in ground, fast tube trains, and terraform Mars fame) has a very lucid, open, and honest twithead account. When asked, he said he donates to political parties, both of them, because that is the only way he can get a seat at the table. One can detect in his explanation the tone of the patrician who simply does not have the time nor inclination to explain these real-world truths to the uninitiated, and he does so carefully. For he also knows that he lives in a world where most live and see through the middle-class bourgeoise values lens. It is against their mores, and those they perceive of the society writ large.
They use words like ethics and best practices and of course, laws.

The biggest conspiracy is them not seeing that these laws, created by the politicians, the government, comprise the bars of their prison. Big people bend bars. Not little people.

        • akmofo May 9, 2020 at 7:10 am #

Big people bend bars. Not little people.

Indeed. And what laws apply to the VaticanCIA mafia? They murdered a US President. They murdered his Attorney General brother. They murdered countless millions with their drugs. They destroyed countless million souls with their child abductions and faggot pederasty. They mass murdered countless millions with their medieval wars, including WWI & WWII and the false dialectic of Communism Nazism Fascism Socialism Progressivism. They murdered and sent into darkness billions of souls with their MithrasCaesarChrist worship. They enslaved the whole planet at their pleasure.

Where are the laws concerning this? Where are the bars concerning this? They don’t even exist! Tells you what world we are really living in.

There is much more where that comes from, methinks.

I mentioned in a previous thread that another reason they targeted Flynn and his family was the fact that he (and his son) openly tweeted about Spirit Cooking, Pizzagate, and Weiner’s laptop (which supposedly had reams of material related to human trafficking).

What would a 3-star US Army General and an ex-head of the Defense Intelligence Agency know about those sorts of things that might cause him to discuss it openly?

Things might get far more interesting than we know.

      • BackRowHeckler May 8, 2020 at 2:24 pm #

That’s what commentor Malthus has been saying for awhile. Indeed, maybe there is something to ‘Pizza Gate’.

        • Nightowl May 8, 2020 at 2:37 pm #

Did you ever look into that stuff? Not the media version — I mean the mails over at Wikileaks, T. Podesta’s pedo art collection, Alefantis and co.’s pedo-laced social media accounts, Comet’s pedo murals (which I saw in person when I used to play rock shows there).

There is way too much circumstantial evidence for there to be nothing of interest to law enforcement.

The media made quite an effort to spin things, too, which says a lot. Andrew Breitbart also famously said J. Podesta was a sex trafficker.

My wife is a social worker who has worked with trafficking and organized abuse survivors, so this sort of stuff no longer shocks me.

This whole fiasco is the result of corruption colliding with incompetence.
Trump, a man that never served in government at the level of dog catcher, seems to have had no idea what he wanted to accomplish as president, who to help him do it, and of the power and corruption that is the permanent establishment in Washington. I totally believe that the Deep State had to destroy Flynn because he knew too much and wanted to shake things up, but why did Trump fire him, and why was he accused of lying to Pence? For that matter, why did Jeff Sessions cave in to demands to step down as Attorney General? For talking to the Russian ambassador at a cocktail party? Please! They must have had something on him. How was Robert Mueller a consummate Washington insider so easily appointed special counsel? No one from flyover country was even considered. It’s pretty telling that Jeffrey Jensen from St. Louis got to the bottom of the Flynn charade in about a week. Finally, who was saving all of those text messages between Peter Strozk and Lisa Page? The Assistant Deputy Director of the FBI didn’t know that someone had that capability?

    • JohnAZ May 8, 2020 at 11:20 am #

Trump, a man that never served in government —

That is exactly why he was elected.

      So yeah, farewell!!!

what is a joke is that jim has been silent about shale collaspsin while ranting about this….
i guess you gotta play to your paid audience

          • BackRowHeckler May 8, 2020 at 3:41 pm #

Jim has talked about the unviability of the shale industry many times.

    • MX Vet 57 May 8, 2020 at 2:12 pm #

Dude, you can’t be that ignorant. Right? I’ve been reading CFN for years. Jim skewers anyone that deserves it – I’ve seen it over and over.

How is this issue not important? Do you understand what happened here? They ruined an innocent man – a man with decades of service to this country. The FBI lied. The highest law-enforcement agency in the land railroaded a guy. How that is not completely disturbing to you and others is completely mind-blowing. Hopefully it happens to you. Maybe then you’ll get it.

This is just the beginning of what’s coming down. You’re in for a shock in the coming months..

Jim, keep it up! Keep telling the truth and putting the screws to those that deserve it – no matter their party affiliation.

      • BackRowHeckler May 8, 2020 at 2:27 pm #

And the thing is MX Vet 57, if the FBI can to that to a 3 star General with deep resources, what chance does an ordinary citizen have?

        • MX Vet 57 May 8, 2020 at 2:38 pm #

No chance, but that’s not important. The Wuhan Wheezer is loose upon the world and we’re all going to die! How dare JHK write about something other than face masks and social distancing or whatever MaddKow is currently blathering on about. I’m sure it’s outrage about letting that liar, Flynn, off the hook. Barr doing Trump’s bidding! Of course!

What, exactly, is bigger than the corruption of the American government?

      • MX Vet 57 May 8, 2020 at 6:09 pm #

        Boom! Excellent point.

    • ricksinger May 8, 2020 at 7:11 pm #

I’m one of the few on CFM who apparently agrees with you. The rest apparently have fled. I won’t leave because I believe alternative perspectives are valuable on this forum, and by extension to Jim.

He’s told me to fuck off, but I understand why. It only strengthens my case. I continue to hold Jim and his work in the highest regard.

Here’s a good question to ask Jim. With life and death of Americans, the dying way of life on the front pages of both the Fake and Unfake MSM, why the fuck is the subject of Jim’s Friday rant important?

      • MX Vet 57 May 8, 2020 at 7:46 pm #

If you can’t figure it out all by your lonesome, then I’m not going to bother. People that don’t get the grave danger of what has happened here are just pretty much too blind to understand – thus – not worth the effort.

      • benr May 9, 2020 at 7:02 am #

Because people die everyday there is nothing special in dying we all will.
We were born to die from the moment we were born!

How ever the corruption openly on display is Tammany hall style event or like living through the Harding presidency in terms of corruption.
The popcorn eating moment is when it all lands in a stinking pile of fecal matter at Obamas feet.

” I sent them”. Wow. That’s really chilling. So evil. It’s really sickening what all of these characters have tried to do to Flynn. What’s more sickening is that the entire mainstream media has played along with it. As critical as we all are of some other foreign governments like People’s Republic of China, etc and how they feed lies to their population it really isn’t all that different here in North America, is it?
Thank goodness for people like JHK.

And no interest in acquiring any either. Someone, somewhere decides every day what will be on the news that night. A gas line in India blew up in a chemical factory injuring 100s and killing 11 but that was not mentioned. We did see, however, children baking muffins and yet more shrill scare tactics on coronavirus. Not a peep about Biden of course. And this goes for PBS too. Another amazingly entertaining and informative column from the irrepressible Mr K – well done Jim! I was torn between laughter and Google dictionary searches this morning with passages like this:

“Could it be plainer? Brown’s Cel-Ray tonic.”

Isn’t the “Official Story” that the Covid 19 virus jumped from a bat from a remote cave in Southern Yunnan Province to a Pangolin and then some Chinese bloke got it from eating a Pangolin in a Wuhan wet market? This is a revised story from the earlier version which posited that some Chinese Geeser got the virus from eating bat soup in the Wuhan wet market? The revised version involving the Pangolin was necessary to account for some RNA found in the Covid 19 virus that does not occur in bats but only in Pangolins. The problem is that the revised Official Story doesn’t make any sense since the bat-to-pangolin-to-Human transmission allegedly occurred at a time when the bats hibernate in their caves, so that the prospect of a bat interacting with a Pangolin is extremely remote even in a Yunnan forest, much less the prospect of a bat and a Pangolin hooking up several hundreds miles away in Wuhan, a city of 11 million people. It seems more likely that the bat and pangolin RNA hooked up in a Wuhan bio lab. Right? They’re not looking for “Patient Zero” because according to the “Official Story” there “ain’t no” Patient Zero, right? Right?

    • Rain Waters May 8, 2020 at 12:18 pm #

Look up what is required to SEE a so called virus. When was it invented !

What happened in 1918 ? Prove it then

      This being a complete scam.

      • Majella May 10, 2020 at 4:36 am #

        Ever heard of Google?

The history of virology – the scientific study of viruses and the infections they cause – began in the closing years of the 19th century. Although Louis Pasteur and Edward Jenner developed the first vaccines to protect against viral infections, they did not know that viruses existed. The first evidence of the existence of viruses came from experiments with filters that had pores small enough to retain bacteria. In 1892, Dmitri Ivanovsky used one of these filters to show that sap from a diseased tobacco plant remained infectious to healthy tobacco plants despite having been filtered. Martinus Beijerinck called the filtered, infectious substance a “virus” and this discovery is considered to be the beginning of virology.

Comey’s immortal line rendered with a smugness eclipsed only by a certain Australian commenter reminds me of Joe Biden’s bragging before the CFR about how he had the Ukrainian investigator fired.

Amazing how they both dug their own graves.

Or perhaps not amazing when one considers they felt entirely comfortable within their ideological bubble and the notion that their actions might be construed as untoward at minimum never crossed their minds. They and their fellow travelers are akin to the radical abolitionists whose unity of purpose and blindness to any contrary information helped ignite Civil War 1. “A Higher Loyalty.”

Lt. General Flynn’s biggest mistake was not collaborating with a best-selling author like Tom Clancy. Sadly Tom Clancy knew his close sources in government depended on his staying quiet on threats plainly spelled out in Qu’ran/Hadith writings. Publishing against the Clinton/Obama habitual behavior leaning to assisting insinuation of Mohammedanism into the highest levels of US Government civil & military was not to be tolerated. FBI training manuals had unfavorable references to the institutional behavior of Islam edited out.

Honest historians will record the harm done by the Ahab/Jezebel culture change template seen in the Clinton/Obama decades.

Obama/Kerry sweetheart deal subsidizing Iran was Flynn’s signal to get far away from public view, and Flynn did not oblige. His book warning about the machinations of Islam being wider and deeper than the previous administration wanted to hear, put him on the persona non grata list for early action. Not well written? Jingoistic? Simplistic? Just the facts, M’am.

        • Janos Skorenzy May 8, 2020 at 1:59 pm #

Yes, we are allied with Salafi Islam. And in Saudi Arabia, they are taking on our decadent New World Order culture now – which is a betrayal of their own tenets. Bin Ladin and ISIS are correct to despise them.

Most people understand none of this and never will. We should have allied with the Shia like the Russians did. They are sane compared to these two other “schools”, neither of which is the classic Sunni Islam – which was bad enough!

        • tucsonspur May 8, 2020 at 6:17 pm #

Remember “radical Islamic terrorism”? Flynn was foremost in criticizing the Dems for not using the words. Said Muslims wanted to ‘drink our blood’. Of course he was right.

The unemployment report understates even the horrible numbers posted this morning:

“As a reminder, the BLS said that if the workers who were recorded as employed but absent from work due to “other reasons” had been classified as unemployed on temporary layoff, the overall unemployment rate would have been almost 5 percentage points higher than reported, meaning that the true unemployment rate as of this moment is 20%

White House economic advisor Kevin Hassett laid the groundwork for shocking the US population for this devastating reality, when he said in a CNN interview that next month’s jobs report “should be around 20%,” adding that the U-6, or the underemployment rate, will probably hit around 25% in the next report.”

Agree. He’s a Globalist too – of a somewhat saner school. The UN/Satanist Cabal wants America to go over the cliff at 120 mph. Trump’s faction wants to keep us strong so we can keep fighting in the Middle East, etc. They’ll take us over the cliff at a staid 35 mph or so. In any case, he doesn’t govern on his campaign platform. In essence, he’s much like the Bushes, even wanting to legalize all the illegals “cuz the economy is so good”, lol.

Barnhardt on the fatuity of the Masks. A nurse writes in:

Yes, for a mask to protect you it HAS to be fit tested.
    So this person is CORRECT.
So the fit test: you put on an N95, they stick a hood over your head with a hole in it. In the hole goes an inhaler type thing and they spray a sucrose solution. If the mask fits properly, you won’t be able to taste the sucrose. I had an N95 on that wasn’t fitting properly and I could totally taste that crap?. So I went thru some N95s til they found one that fit properly.
Bottom line – if it isn’t fit tested then there’s no guarantee that the “viral particles” are being filtered out. So this mask wearing that we are all “required” to do is…..wait for it….BEE ESS.

I laugh when I see the general public wearing N95s they bought a Homo Depot. Unless you fit test it (an N95), you have no idea if it’s actually “working”.?

    It’s all a mind game.

And remember, folks, this ONLY applies to N95-level masks. Putting a few ridiculous layers of gauze, or even more ridiculously, FASHION FABRIC (I’ve even seen DENIM – that’s just going to give you elevated Carbon Dioxide levels – absolutely STUPID. Carbon Dioxide inhalation is a common method of stunning hogs at slaughter) serves ABSOLUTELY NO PURPOSE WHATSOEVER EXCEPT to signal TOTAL SUBMISSION TO THE LIE and to THE TOTALITARIAN REGIME.

It isn’t a “sanitary barrier.” It doesn’t block viruses, and certainly not this common cold virus. COLD VIRUSES CANNOT BE CONTAINED ANY MORE THAN MANKIND CAN AFFECT THE GLOBAL WEATHER. Such a contention is PURE, HUBRISTIC, LYING BULLSHIT.

JS: So they fail at ppe but they work wonderfully as signs of submission, i.e, Hijabs. Another nurse opined that if they let in the virus, you then keep rebreathing it inside the mask, worsening your prospects.

Schlemiel and Schlimazel are two Yiddish terms often used in a comical, but sometimes biting sense of humor.

A Schlemiel is an inept clumsy person and a Schlimazel is a very unlucky person. There’s a Yiddish saying that translates to a funny way of explaining them both.

A schlemiel is somebody who often spills his soup and a schlimazel is the person it lands on.

Hasenpfeffer is actually a German stew and I have no idea why it is part of this ditty except that when it is all put together you cannot help but laugh at how it sounds. If you are feeling a bit nostalgic here is the YouTube Link to the opening theme. (Laverne and Shirley)

JS: But does the schlimazel often get soup spilled on himself? And if so, is the schlemiel more malicious than clumsy? I’d say my interpretation sums up the relationship between the American Elite and the downtrodden White population, now called the deplorables. If trends remain unchanged, soon they will be hunted for sport.

    • elysianfield May 8, 2020 at 5:21 pm #

“”… if so, is the schlemiel more malicious than clumsy?

Of course not…be he malicious, he would be a “Schmeckel”….

On another note, being labelled a “Blasphemer” hurt.

I suspect I am a blasphemer, but it does not look good on my resume. My intent is not to blaspheme any religion (except for Scientology). As a matter of fact, I was raised around the Mother Church, my mother being Catholic. I always felt diminished that I was not chosen for “special handling”…for the honor in it if nothing else. They had taken measure and found me wanting?

If only I was Fr O’Malley back then knowing what Janos knows now, I would have administered the Rod of Correction unto you with a will. Maybe you would be a better man for it now. The child is the father to the man after all. And if you see one of your trees growing wrong, do you not try to amend it if you can?

No doubt you will interpret the above in a kinky way as per your bent.

The problem in America is that we have come to accept, no, worship socially adept psychopaths who have big money or big power (both gotten via psychopathic activities in the main). Most people don’t even know what a psychopath is, and many find them to be cool people who are the life of the party. In actuality, they have no conscience, no empathy, no governors against lying, no compassion, but they can act if none of these characterize them. In fact, they can feign the opposite of each. Stupid and gullible people think they are compassionate leaders who tell the truth and care about others. Read the 1940’s book ‘The Mask of Sanity’ if you ever get the chance.

Our governments from city councils to DC are full of socially adept psychopaths (non socially adept psychopaths are in jail or prison). Who else would want to control others and line their pockets with others’ tax money?

Psychopaths can be controlled by only one thing. A bullet to the brain, or perhaps, hanging or the guillotine. Simple as that, but we’ll never have the balls to do it. Therefore, psychopaths will inherit the earth. (Also never expect one psychopath lawyer to actually attack another psychopathic lawyer, no matter how much they make you think otherwise. )

    • Janos Skorenzy May 8, 2020 at 3:31 pm #

One Eastern European psychologist (author of “Ponerology”) said the same: they can recognize each other and work together against normal people. Chilling indeed.

    • Robert White May 8, 2020 at 5:33 pm #

All text book Psychopaths require an audience for their act. Without the audience Psychopaths alter their behaviour to get an audience.
Narcissistic Psychopaths are the most blatantly obvious as their character & persona vacillate between focal points of attention.

Psychopaths are not behaviourally at any sort of advantage to normal personalities in the population. In most cases Psychopaths are primarily parasitic and can usually be detected early on in their behaviour by friends & coworkers. Most Psychopaths are solitary types in so far as they are introverted pathologically but extraverted psychopathically.

I’ve know numerous text book Psychopaths in my lifetime, and I majored in Personality Theory because of them.

The media is going to bat for this guy just as they did for Trayvon and Big Mike. To demonize Whites and help get Biden elected. To distract form their massive attack against the middle class. To drum up their allies to take to the streets so they can impose martial law. This spells opportunity for Us since Trump is in office. Make it OUR Martial Law. If a Democrat was in, we’d be in very deep shit indeed right now – as if we aren’t already.

What they’re no telling you: he has a record and was “jogging” in jean thirty miles from his home. He changed the two non-caped crusaders who were trying to make a possibly justified citizen’s arrest. He tried to wrest the gun from the younger White guy but he lost the struggle and got shot. Shades of Trayvon who lost doing the same thing to George Zimmerman.

Will these two good Ol’ Boys become folk heroes like George has?

    • BackRowHeckler May 8, 2020 at 3:56 pm #

God help any white man who would jog thru a black neighborhoods in, say, Hartford or New Haven. Go ahead and try it. I’ve known people who have got caught down there; the outcome wasn’t good.

      • elysianfield May 9, 2020 at 11:07 am #

In my four years on the OPD, most of which was spent on patrol after sundown, I never saw any white joggers on the surface streets, other than near the downtown area….Jogging, walking, or standing. None. Zilch. Nada.

I live in Georgia. That guy did not deserve to be executed – based on the information we’ve been given. Call the Sheriff. Call the police. Warn him you’re calling and continue to follow him if you really think he’s a criminal, but don’t shoot him unless he’s threatening you with his own weapon.

      • BackRowHeckler May 8, 2020 at 5:00 pm #

They’ll be paying for it. The father was an ex police officer who should have known better.

      • cbeard May 8, 2020 at 5:55 pm #

He would probably never have been shot if he hadn’t tried to wrestle the gun away. The white man could have shot him as he charged around the truck at him, but didn’t for whatever reason. The punk was responsible for his own death. Did you not see the video MX Vet 57. Agreed, things should have been done differently, but it is what it is. If he hadn’t grabbed the gun he would have lived to cause more mayhem, commit more thievery, and hurt people.

      • malthuss May 8, 2020 at 10:15 pm #

The video is edited, to make it seem like the burglar is a nice guy.

        I found,

Ahmaud “Maud” Arbery was a 2-time convicted thief (it looks like shoplifting and theft from automobile). He had a juvenile record which has been leaked (I believe he had a gun charge and armed robbery). It also appears from his social posts he had an expensive marijuana habit and had threatened his father’s side of the family (which were quickly taken down by his auntie’s attorneys).
(Sounds like Maud got one too many concussions playing linebacker in the high school feetsball 7 years ago…)

While waiting for the GBI to finish their investigation (the shooting happened on Feb 23rd) the family and Dude Inc had plenty of time to scrub his criminal history and spin the narrative.
They are also threatening witnesses (including the original 911 caller and the owner of the cellphone video) and marching through the white part of Brunswick attempting to incite a violent confrontation. There were 4-7 petty burglaries in that neighborhood over the last 12 months (including the McMichaels having one of their 9mm pistols stolen).

After several denials the family finally admitted that Maud was on security video “trespassing” in that rehabbed house but he took a break from his daily jog because he was just interested in construction. LMAO! [jogging in work boots?].

19-year-old Ahmaud Marquez Avery brought a loaded gun to a high school basketball game, where he wasn’t even a student “The man ran through the parking lot. I tried to get him to stop as well. He would not stop for us,” Glynn County Schools Chief of Police

    • cbeard May 8, 2020 at 5:43 pm #

Yes, he will be the new Trayvon and it’s going to get ugly if and when they get an acquittal. He obviously charged the good ol’ boy and if he had gotten control of the shotgun the white boy would be dead. I hear that his criminal record included bringing a gun to school and shoplifting, probably a lot more that will never be known. White folks are fed up with black criminality. Decent black should be fed up too. I wish just one black individual would stand up and tell his/her people the truth.

Mr. Kunstler is in love with this country and he wishes for justice, but it’s not coming. Politicians make so much money – apart from their official salaries and perks – that there is no way they will ever disobey the dictates of the banking families. Would you? Have you ever been given a duffel bag of hundreds? Or a mansion? A yacht? The sexual partner of your dreams? Why would someone say no to that? For what? The US is in the murder and looting business, it’s a fact of life. All these intrigues that Mr. Kunstler expertly documents are simply theater. Politicians have burned consciences. Lies and crimes do not bother them at all. it’s why our Terrorist-in-Chief is typically not bothered by the storms that swirl about his head. He knows it’s just theater, designed to occupy the great ignorant masses of US Americans, to throw them off the scent, to keep them unable to see what’s going on, which is that the US is involved in mass murder on a grand scale, for the purpose of looting the planet for the banking families.

I appreciate it’s pretty easy to dismiss today’s Beltway Essay as just another serve of red meat to the dedicated party faithful on here. And as further evidence look at the way the gung-ho have lapped it up, and then begged for more!

But without definitive proof, it’s hard to be too assertive about it … for all I know JHK might be genuinely dedicated to seeking the truth and to the rule of law. He might be genuinely horrified by the alleged anti-Trump shenanigans of the intelligent ‘community’.

However some things are worrisome – such as this:

“The chronology of their misdeeds is now clearly established — for instance, the fact that the highest officials in the FBI and the DOJ knew by January 2017 that their sole asseveration of Russian collusion, the Steele dossier, was an utter, concocted, crock-of-shit.”

This is simply erroneous. The investigation into corrupt Trump-Russia collusion was kick-started (I’m proud to say) by one of my countrymen, Alexander Downer. Downer is a fop, a dandy, and the scion of a noble Australian family, but he is also a former hard-right leader of our Liberal (ie Conservative) Party.

He would sit comfortably in the centre-right of the Republicans, but for one thing … as an Australian former politician, and then a senior diplomat to the Court of St James in London, he has a sense of decency, honesty, and ethics.

So he duly reported on his long wine-lubricated conversation with a Trump aide … who spilled the beans on the Trump-Russia set up. The Steele Dossier is not the only source of information. I also doubt very much that it’s a total crock … but that’s another story.

And another Australian comes into the mix as well … Julian Assange (Wikileaks) was the publisher of the emails provided by the Russians.

It’s my suspicion that Assange agreed to publish to assist Trump, so that he would get a pardon, or at least have all charges dropped, if he stepped out of the Ecuadorian Embassy and was promptly handcuffed and shipped to the US. Itr smells true to me, and his incentive to do such a deal was extraordinarily high.

And all this leads to my main point: whatever anyone thinks Brennan, or Clapper, or Comey, (or Hillary or Barack) did to stifle the Trump Ascendancy, it is absolutely nothing compared to what Trump did with the Russians to get elected, and the mile-long caravan of crimes that have been committed by him and his kids and others since inauguration day.

So given all the other important things going on in the world, why does JHK obsess over this Beltway stuff? Even if the red-meat for the baying right-wing mob is too out there, I think it is very skewed in presentation. William Barr is a total travesty, one who believes in a theocratic state and perpetual Republican Party rule in a one-party dictatorship.

He is no better than the Taliban, the mullahs, the caliphs, and basically the high priests in every religion, who, as soon as they get a sniff of power go mad and start to slaughter everyone else. Barr should never have been let anywhere near a Department of Justice.

Anyway … to my mind nobody cares … to strain the metaphor a little, it’s a bit like the Third Petty Officer finding a couple of deckchairs missing on the Titanic, and he starts a messy and fruitless investigation while the ship is going down.

Trump v Biden … what an awful choice thee face on 3 November!

    • BackRowHeckler May 8, 2020 at 8:40 pm #

Turns out Trump did nothing with the Russians to get elected. That’s the whole point, which you appear to have missed.

      • Cargill May 8, 2020 at 9:28 pm #

The Mueller Investigation, like the Senate impeachment non-trial, and the House impeachment inquiry, were totally hampered by:

        1, Obstruction of Justice
        2, Witness intimidation
        3. Stopping witnesses appearing
        4. Suppression of documents
        5. Ignoring of key documents and testimony

Trump and his team micro-managed (obstructed and neutered) all investigations, and btw, Trump was not ‘acquitted’ by Mueller by any stretch. None of the behaviours demonstrated by the Trump White House were that of innocent people – quite the reverse.

        • BackRowHeckler May 8, 2020 at 9:35 pm #

Mueller was reduced to a mumbling bowl of Jello in front of the entire nation.

20 mostly Dem lawyers led by Andrew Whitebread (one of the most corrupt attorneys in US history), an unlimited budget, an unlimited purview and …

Then came the Ukraine call in which the Dems’ own witnesses supported the President, and the guy on the other end of the phone stated twice in public that everything was peachy.

You couldn’t even make up a sadder story.

if people had just chilled out and rode 4 trump years out, getting a better candidate ready…well, much bs avoided. Getting hysterical about trump just feeds beast imo. Now, after much energy wasted, no candidate, few consistent ideas building for the dems.

      • Cargill May 8, 2020 at 9:40 pm #

Agree very much … I have said for quite a long time that the Dems could have dealt with Trump like he was a bratty child, and concentrated almost all their efforts into the House and the Senate (and key state governors / legislatures) – they did well in in 2018, but 2020 is big too (especially with more Repub senators up for re-election).

The process of selecting a decent presidential nominee has been pretty appalling to witness. Joe Biden … good grief. Surely they could have learnt from the selection of Hillary Clinton?

I looked but didn’t see it. It was a big week – over a thousand comments. Can you repost?

      • sophia May 9, 2020 at 7:19 pm #

        Sure, I found two.

Ok, to some of that, but address my main point: How wrong are people who fight unknowingly for a bad cause?

We have a lot of that going on right now. If this bizarre situation we are in does turn out to be round one of an international power grab leading to dystopia, then it means that half the people I know are fully cooperating with it. So how guilty are people who have been lied to? Lying isn’t that hard.

No, I don’t think the guilt is strong. People are deluded fairly easily. Lying is quite an art. But if you want to graduate, a certain amount of wisdom is required. And I think wisdom has few shortcuts. Mostly it takes time to gather experience, then you are not so easily fooled. Why do you think that dictators and other totalitarians use very young men to do their dirty work?

It seems to me that in order to go to heaven and not have to come back, the lesson of nongullibility and the moral compass are perhaps closely aligned. That way, even if you are caught up in some lie, such as coronavirus panic, and you are a police officer, and you have free reign to trample people, but you have a clear moral compass, you will be the cop who refrains.

People do bad things and support bad causes, in part, because they do not have a clear moral compass. They do not really understand right and wrong. If you cloak the actions you want from them in some narrative, they lose sight of the fact that certain things are wrong. That too takes time. Thus reincarnation.

I agree that converting is probably not doable because when converting you would be scrutinized and have to do some counseling or whatever. As for me, I don’t go to communion. For one thing, you go to confession as a prelude. Well, I can comfortably lie or omit I suppose since they have a lower understanding than I do and there’s no forcing that. But I am not strongly motivated. I go to church occasionally out of nostalgia. Their services can be very beautiful. The Ortho services are like the old architecture, and the Prots are like the modern buildings…ah well, I suppose that is rude of me.

The question is what church is available that you might get to? If it is a good one, and that depends upon where you live, it would be good to attend to soak up some vibes and perhaps explore a bit the differences in theology. You mention Americans, but Ortho churches are sometimes largely congregations of converted Americans or they can be ethnic minority congregations.

The outward structure of the two churches (RC Ortho) is very similar. It is in the subtle differences where I think the important differences lie.
The big one is the doctrine of salvation. Ortho church denies that there needed to be a human sacrifice, that the sacrifice on the cross was a propitiation. They say the salvific event was one of love, reconciling the hearts of humanity with God.
In my opinion, the filioque was also important. About the trinity. So in the Bible Jesus says the Holy Spirit emanates from the Father, and so it was for hundreds of years in the creed, but at some point the RC changed it and wouldn’t change it back despite urging. The way they say it diminished the equality of the Holy Spirit and makes it subsidiary. And I will tell you that on a metaphysical level the real difference between the churches is the presence of, and understanding of, the Holy Spirit.
Here’s another tell. In the Ortho church, you almost never see a suffering Christ. The crosses that people wear have light rays and/or a dove to show the resurrection. The 6 hours of suffering were profound, but not out of line with the many thousands and millions of people who have been tortured to death. Furthermore, I find it unseemly to dwell excessively on Christ’s sufferings for that very reason – any human being tortured slowly to death has a far worse emotional spiritual suffering than an incarnated god. But you see the emphasis – on the joy and triumph of the resurrection rather than endless torture porn. This is one of the reasons I accuse the RCC of Satanism.
No, you don’t need to convert, you are past that. Rather, find a way to soak up the vibes or perhaps read some theology that appeals to you. I can tell you the mentor that I have who showed the Holy Spirit to me. Father Sylvan. I went to amazon and am surprised at the price.

Well, there are three versions, I have the first and last. But the middle one has a paperback for 11-15 dollars.

        • Janos Skorenzy May 9, 2020 at 9:14 pm #

I almost converted once or twice – first time to an Occult 60’s Family that was drifting towards Orthodoxy called “The Holy Order Of Mans”. Now they are quite Orthodox after a struggle to find a home in Orthodoxy. Their first Bishop apparently wasn’t a Bishop although associated with the saintly Seraphim Rose, who is respected by all it seems. Rose, who was into the Neo-Traditionalists like I am, felt the need to narrow and practice in a living tradition. Instead of going toward Islam, he met John Maximovitch in San Francisco. John is revered by everyone, a great Saint, Ascetic, Heyschast, and Liturgical Mystic. All of Orthodoxy was summed up in him. He slept an hour or two a night on a chair and then would get up and start the whole Superhuman cycle all over again.

They were interesting, ending up less so with a Bulgarian Bishop. The second time I almost converted to the Antiochians. I found the same thing: the joy of the Liturgy slowly faded and was left surrounded by people who I wasn’t going to get along with that well, with one or two exceptions perhaps. I think I made the right choice.

I have read several books by Sophrony about his Father, Staretz Silouan. Sound like the real deal.

Right now I’m reading Evelyn Underhill’s book “Mysticism”. Very nice study I’ve been meaning to get to forever. She was very familiar with a number of Traditions: Occult, Hermetic, Alchemy, Christian, and even Sufism. She was even a member of the Golden Dawn for awhile, but eventually found her home in Catholicism – HIgh Anglicanism I believe. They think they’re Catholics! The book is from this pov, but actually respects others while giving first place to her own. I have no problem with this.

From this, I’m going to take up a number of Classics such as Suso’s Life, the Thelogica Germanica, and Jacob Boehme. Probably go for the Classics of Western Spirituality series – they have superb introductions by people who know their stuff.

I’m a casual come are you kind of person. Catholics keep their Churches OPEN. I drop in and adore. The big once a week social, all dressed up to impress? Not my scene. But I will always love Orthodoxy.

Adoration didn’t come from above. It grew from below. People like to be near Him. It’s a real experience. It blows my mind too. I wanted Occult Powers and this is what I got! I could tell you of many experiences. I can hardly believe what I’ve been gifted. I still want to astrally project though…..

    Disgusting but suspicious.

A study just released says that the GI tract is a prime settling place for the virus, giving vomiting and diarrhea with abdominal pain not relieved with going.

The concern is, no one seems to know if current or old waste water treatment kills the virus. Could it be that this is what is causing the big outbreaks in the city areas? Are older waste water systems causing the steady state accumulation of cases? Are we killing our economy over an epidemic that may be a bunch of s**t. Literally.

What ticks me off is that we do not know. If it is something like this, isolation may do nothing and the steady state will continue through the start up phase with no appreciable increase.

That question brings some sense to Cuomo’s report the so many cases in NYC (where the water has been drunk & pissed out at least 60 times before it comes back into the home) are showing up among people who have been staying in.

    • elysianfield May 8, 2020 at 9:47 pm #

      As I’ve opined earlier;

We do not know a Goddamned thing about the virus.

      Conflicting studies.

      Self-serving statistics.

Breathless reports from the news media.

      Internets full of conspiracy theories.

People voting their own interests make their own decision as to when to break quarantine.

Everything is in flux…nothing is generally agreed upon.

The only constant is that most every country in the world acted, in rare accord, that the disease is serious enough to destroy their relative economies. You have never seen humanity join to such a degree on a subject…this you should take notice of.

But now those “in the know” suggest that the actions of most countries of the world were an attempt to deflect blame for the collapse of our economic system.

We know nothing. I would suggest that the actions of the world speak the truth about the virus…everything else is noise. We all gonna get it, some will die, many will be disabled by it.

If you have some absolutes regarding the virus, I would like to consider them.

Well, an interesting fact reported by UPI. The US military spends millions on recruitment…always looking for those people of quality. However, the DOD has now a policy that if you have ever had Covid-19, and even if fully “cured”, you are INELIGIBLE for military service. Forever. Sick? Stay away. Cured? Take a hike. Don’t come back. HIV? No problem. Hepatitis? C’mon down. Any number of social diseases? Good to go. Covid? Get the fuck out the door!

Do they know something we don’t?

I got mine last week. I suppose you need some extreme comic relief with all that you are going thru. Believe it or not, it does really work, religion that is. Faith could help you now in general and beyond that, She could and would and Him as well. But it obviously didn’t take in your case and that is too bad.

It probably is a phallus. Pagans were into that stuff, but usually in an elevated or symbolic way. Since the Abrahamic religions won’t touch it, it then comes out as completely vulgar and distorted by shame, worse than it would have been naturally. Score a big one for the Pagans.

      • Cargill May 9, 2020 at 1:30 am #

The Abrahamic Religions – “The Three Stooges” as I think of them, when I think of them at all – are very very weird and hung-up about s.e.x. Very peculiar … denying life, denying pleasure, denying exploration.

Why some people willingly and even voluntarily accede to the “authority” of some grumpy old bastard in a frock – is a question well beyond rational answers.

” So we agreed you will make Mithras-Christ-Caesar a Hindu god and leave us out of it? ”

Well , for my part , I have never understood this ” Jesus , Mary , Joseph , and the twelve apostles were all Jews. ”

          Yes .

…….. And what of that ?

It’s like saying George Washington ( a British Colonel ) John Adams ( member of the British Bar ) and Thomas Jefferson ( a British legislator and also a member of the British Bar )

          were good British subjects.

          As for the , ” Christ killers ” – business ;

When Pilate asked , ” will you have this guy Jesus ? Or Barabbas ?

And the crowd answered , ” Give us Barabbas ! ”

That is something you see every day now . It’s hardly unique to the Jews .

For example , what basically happened , in few words , in the Night of the Long Knives , was that Hitler purged his own followers in order to climb into bed with people who wouldn’t pee on him if his heart was on fire.

So , yeah , hardly an unusual event , or peculiar behavior.

” Maybe you should look up what institution is and was the biggest purloin of children and their most horrid abuser ”

That “institution” would be everyone who has lived long enough to see the 50 years result of the sexual revolution but who never the less claims claims promiscuity , adultery , and divorce , to cite just thee examples , at least aren’t so bad , or are even a positive good.

    Flatly ignoring or glossing over that the math of the thing is pretty concrete ;

Two – thirds of the child products of promiscuity , adultery , and divorce will be raised in poverty , and at least 75% of those don’t have a snowballs chance in hell of ever escaping that poverty.

Is it really necessary to point out that poverty isn’t getting fucked once or twice , but every day , and quite possibly , or rather likely , a life sentence ?

So that “institution ” would be pretty damn big.

Near as I can tell , it would include the majority on this board.

it’s a bit like the Bernie Madoff thing.

Certainly , yes , Bernie Madoff was a very bad apple.

But the fact is , the legalization of loan sharking , the legalization of ponzi schemes , the plain turning of Wall Street into a strait out casino ,

was something that was accepted , or even lobbied for , by millions.

Even people who didn’t have so much as a cent in a bank , or didn’t own a single share of stock , heartily endorsed the whole affair when there were plenty of steaks in the ice box , and a new Buick in the driveway.

But at the same time. Due to the covid public health threat, this same society is releasing murderers and rapists from prisons.

Yes, it does take time to get rid of the conditioning. Plus its really hard too when you think your side is good but then realize that a lot of the leadership and even the rank and file also work for those we consider enemies. It doesn’t quickly compute when you were conditioned to think of opposing forces when in reality the opposing forces thing is part of a grand scheme and show and the important players actually work together backstage.

The purpose of the CIA is to facilitate global criminal activity and ensure these global Vatican mafia criminal activities go unnoticed and undercover.

For JohnAZ (et al who dis single payer healthcare):

    • JohnAZ May 9, 2020 at 11:37 am #

      Watched it.

You have not read some of my posts. I am a retired RN, I have seen this in operation, tertiary care level. I am an advocate of Medicare for all, but only because competitive forces do not exist in health care. One of the symptoms of our modern day gimme society is the expectation of perfect health for everyone. Health care is a monopoly, forced into that mold by insurance companies financing the MDs and the tertiary care system. Health care is a utility, like electricity or water.
Cities regulate their power companies or water suppliers because there is no competition.

Health care has entered this form. Politics demand cradle to grave care for everyone. Under this mode, there is no competition. Healthcare becomes a utility. That demands regulation to prevent price gouging.

Currently, the US is running open loop, there are no controls. Supply and demand run the price levels. With HC, there is infinite demand and very carefully controlled supply, which keeps the price up. Higher prices, more participants, more insurance, more MDs, nurses, hospitals and everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon, to get their piece of the pie. I did! I admit it.

That is the rub. Regulate demand and supply and the price will drop. Excess capital generation will drop, research will decrease. The rewards to MDs going through school will decline as their ability to change large fees will decline. Where single payer has been implemented, ie everywhere else, service has declined in elective care. The Elite hate the idea of healthcare retreating to emergent care priority, where do they get their plastic surgery, Botox, fat reduction, knee replacements, etc. etc. The freedom to exploit the supply and demand situations is why most research, most drug development has occurred here. If profit motives do not excite the populace , they do not take the risk of entrepreneurship.

Without the profit motive, health care will wane into a utility class institution. Unfortunately, with the world and it’s people where they are today, that is where it is heading.

The Coronavirus reaction around the world is the perfect example of this. In normal mode, the health services are slow but good enough to satisfy the public. When catastrophic need occurs, the resources are just not there. The second perfect example is PPE, when the HC system requires a certain level of need, the system sets up a supply chain at a certain level at the cheapest level possible. The result is China provides the world with PPE. When the virus hit, there was not enough manufacturing capability anywhere to fill the immediate need. I hope the US and Europe learned something from this virus.

BTW, the country that stepped up and has provided the world with the required health care production is the US, along with the research into vaccines and drugs. The price of socialized medicine is the loss of the excess capacity that is needed when emergencies occur. That is what Europe has learned.

      • Cargill May 9, 2020 at 3:30 pm #

Australia has a very good mix of a national / universal health-care system, and a private sector, where all the high-end specialists congregate, but their fees are covered by a mix of Medicare and optional private health insurance.

The (‘free’) public system can be slow – but the quality of service isn’t inferior.

        • Majella May 10, 2020 at 12:52 am #

JohnAZ – what Cargill said, on both points.

You’ll note that Ezra Kelin’s article pointed out that almost ALL of the current single-payer ‘socialist’ health-care providing jurisdictions have this two-tier system to some extent. The ‘rich’ can get their nose & bob jobs & botox.

Elective needs like knee & hip replacements are perfectly well–served in Public Health systems. However, it might mean waiting three months instead of one.

I have a friend in NZ – a 50 y/o hairdresser, whose hip gave out quite suddenly – well, rapid deterioration – in January this year.

Just last week (in the middle of the lock-down) she had her hip replacement done in the Public System. Cost to her directly = $zero. Cost to have had it done privately = $26,000. No doubt, the cost to the public system was around that amount though probably less.

She could easily have afforded it (the $26K, and/or private medical insurance), but she’s been paying taxes for the last 30+ years, so why should she?

          • Majella May 10, 2020 at 12:54 am #

Oh, and BTW, that $26K currently equates to around US$16,900 , or about half the average US$33,000 in the States.

      • Cargill May 9, 2020 at 3:37 pm #

BTW, the country that stepped up and has provided the world with the required health care production is the US, along with the research into vaccines and drugs. The price of socialized medicine is the loss of the excess capacity that is needed when emergencies occur. That is what Europe has learned.

I think you could do well to stop waving those stars and stripes quite so much … lots of places around the world (including here) are doing vaccine research … even those (possibly mostly those) that have a national health system, and a well-funded research culture.

And “free enterprise” and the profit motive aren’t the only or the best drivers of human progress … I think that is Kool-Aid dreamin’.

9″ of snow last nite a little NW of here. We just got a light dusting which looks like sugar sprinkled upon green grass and half developed maple and oak leafs. As the mid spring sun comes up and temps rise above freezing, snow is melting off fast. But the wind is howling, wind chill is low, and it will barely reach 45°F today in this valley. Anybody who has planted their garden, or put in flowers — and there are a few eager gardeners around here, specially in this (partial) lockdown — is SOOL.

Everyone connected with it ought to be running scared now. Surely some will be indicted and tried, perhaps many. It will go hard on the whole Resistance, including the millions of rank-and-file Democrats who linked arms to cheerlead countless acts of legal depravity that have undermined American principles of justice and fairness.”

… and all this to get an empty-headed, completely corrupt Joe Biden into the WH & resume what was started decades ago– the enrichment of multinational corporations backed by the might & guarantee of the US military.

What fanciful nonsense and narrative spraying. The Russian collusion and the theft of an election were (and remain) a clear and present danger to the US for all to see, and it takes very strong and decent Democrats like Schiff, Schuler, and Pelosi to shine a light on Trump-Repub corruption.

  58. PeteAtomic May 9, 2020 at 9:36 am #

The permanent bureaucracy & MICC need Trump out of the White House. Trump has been much too involved in meddling with the goals of big business & defense contractors. The TPP & other globalist trade compacts which serve to only empower multinational corporations (versus workers & the communities where their industries operate) must be enacted once Biden assumes office. The animus against Russia must be resumed. Let’s not forget about all the little bush wars out there that the US can get involved in, particularly if there are resources involved.

Just think. This is a perfect time for monopolization of the US economy. Small businesses & companies are in the process of being ground out. Soon there will be only a handful of choices, for anything. Won’t that be wonderful! You won’t have to even think about what you are purchasing. So convenient!

    • BackRowHeckler May 9, 2020 at 9:49 am #

You’re so right about that Pete.

I see all the small main street businesses shut down or severely restricted by law, but the big boys on the strip outside town — Walmart, Lowes, MacDonalds — wide open. So for example last week I needed a picnic table for the horseshoe area I set up, but the place I would normally go was shuttered; I ended up going to Home Depot. I think many of these local businesses will not reopen, they’re done.

      • PeteAtomic May 9, 2020 at 10:13 am #

yep, you can’t legally go camping in places where you probably wouldn’t see another human for miles, but you can go (maybe must go, since there may not be any commercial activity anywhere else at all!) to a crowded Walmart! It’s essential!

    Will it happen?

Biden reportedly will be picking his VP in June. If you are a DNC insider, it makes complete sense to pick Hillary. She is a representative of the permanent security state & bureaucracy, and the anti-Trump.

I don’t think the Biden team would choose a Sanders or a Warren. I say the “Biden team” because I don’t think Biden is making any choices in what is happening. He is a complete figurehead. I think it has been made clear that that a socialist as a VP is a non-starter. I definitely think it will be a female VP, particularly after the Reade allegation. It must be a female, now. Biden already has support among Blacks. They vote democrat, no matter what. Who he needs are suburban whites, and this means one of 3 ppl: HRC, Klobuchar, or Harris.

    • JohnAZ May 9, 2020 at 11:43 am #

Do not forget that HRC and Biden are in two separate camps in the party. HRC will never forgive Trump from winning in 2016. Same with Obama in 2008.

  60. PeteAtomic May 9, 2020 at 10:07 am #

Biden won’t make it through his first term.

So, one of the themes in the election will really be who the first female President will be.

This is where someone like HRC would essentially take over running the Executive very quickly if she took office as VP. She is a power hungry sociopath that when paired with a weak, vacillating & cognitively impaired person like Biden, will control what is happening. Biden might physically sit in the Oval Office, but Hillary will be pulling all the strings.

    • BackRowHeckler May 9, 2020 at 10:23 am #

Yeah, once a woman gets into the White House its gonna be utopia in the USA, so we are led to believe.

Many new, strange happenings in ‘feminized’ Sweden. Authorities can’t figure it out, specially bombs going off all over the place and hundreds of cars set ablaze. It’s a mystery.

Voter ID is essential in this age of cheating. And to pretend otherwise is dishonest, as well as racist! Yes, those liberal idiots who never examine themselves in the mirror and haven’t owned their own brand of racism. They think the deplorables are a bunch of Archie Bunkers, but they got over it years ago. But them – they inwardly despise blacks and feel bad about it, so project it out onto the deplorables.

But their true opinion shows when they think that the poor little itty bitty black babykins that whites are totally responsible for cannot manage to get an ID!
Sure you need an ID to get a cell phone, a bank account, a job, a driver’s license, rent a car, etc, etc, but well, what if the dumbo’s can’t read or find the DMV?

Getting back to the video in Sweden of ‘Youths’ spraying the streets with automatic gunfire, it’s an odd phenomena in western and northern Europe, private ownership of firearms is severely restricted, to the point of being almost impossible even by law abiding native citizens, but migrants from Africa, Asia and the Middle East seem to have all the weapons they need, even ones that are fully automatic.

I think if there was a firearms ban in the USA it would be a little different. What might happen is police would make a few highly publicized raids on Joe Sixpacks across the country, and seize a few dangerous Steven’s single shot shotguns. Joe Sixpack would get a long prison sentence as a lesson to Joe Sixpacks in all states. At the same time the politically connected would arm up to the teeth. For example, Michael Bloomberg’s 19 man security detail would not give up their weapons. No, they would get more and better weapons. Incidentally, Covid 19 is not having much of an effect on the murder rate in Chicago. It is rolling merrily along, even up ticking a little bit.

They caught shipments of arms to the Muslims in Europe. Obviously they didn’t catch them all. There is even (unbelievably) sniper training available for them in Sweden. I don’t mind if no one believes me, I can hardly believe it myself. Or that in ISIS territory, they had little boys shooting grown men as part of their Jihadi training.

      • SoftStarLight May 9, 2020 at 2:15 pm #

That is a critical point that you made actually. The reason they have young boys killing victims of any age is because they are training them to kill without feeling or remorse. So that it becomes as natural to them as eating or praying. Basically since they don’t have the resources to put together a droid army this is the next best thing.

The Challenges of an Interracial Marriage

John Johnson, American Renaissance, May 9, 2020

This is part of our continuing series of accounts by readers of how they shed the illusions of liberalism and became race realists.

Like so many others, I am a white man who grew up surrounded by whites — and immersed in anti-white propaganda. It had its intended effect, too. The innate loyalty to my country and my people was gradually replaced with shame. I became enamored with tales of foreign peoples — ones alleged to be much more cultured and civilized than Western whites, and more egalitarian than European patriarchy. As time went on, my fascination with civilizations different from my own grew and grew. This abstract “xenophilia” was compounded by my own awkwardness and timidity — especially when it came to interactions with the opposite sex. For most of my childhood and adolescence, I felt out of place, and doubted if I would ever fit in.

And so, when I was old enough to do so, I left the United States and spent three years abroad. I traveled to different countries and different continents. I learned about new cultures, new histories, and the basics of new languages. For the first time, people took notice of me. More than anything, I noticed a stunning difference in how I was treated by non-white women in foreign lands compared with how I was treated by white women in my native country. At home, they looked right through me — abroad, their eyes met mine steadily, and with regularity.

Eventually, I met a beautiful African woman. She was kind and smart. She was elegant. She was simultaneously frugal and generous. We dated, and in time, married. For a time, things were good: We were carefree and silly, danced and rode our bicycles together regularly. But at this point, we have spent more time angry at each other than we ever did happy. The fights are terrible. She screams at me relentlessly and at times I simply cannot take it anymore and flee my own home. There have even been times, I am ashamed to, that things have gotten physical too.

I used to believe that it was the strain of our careers that had taken its toll on our marriage, and that if we could take time off from work and have some quality time together, somehow someway, things would get better. However, we have tried this, and nothing ever changes. We only manage brief moments of happiness that give us just enough hope to keep trying. I find myself haunted by something my wife says in her times of quiet despair: “We are just too different”. A thousand times she has said this, and a thousand times I have brushed it aside as inconsequential. But even so, the question lingers within me, filling me with doubt.

Further worsening everything is the current political situation in America. Ever since the election of Donald Trump in 2016, and the frenzied anti-white media overdrive that followed, my white identity has come to matter to me more and more. I am proud to be white. I do not wish harm upon any race, but I believe white people have the right to exist, and have the right to proclaim a homeland. My poor wife has, to her horror, noticed this change in my worldview, and it is now yet another pressure point on our already strained marriage.

It would be dishonest and cowardly of me to blame my marital discord entirely on racial matters. I have not been a perfect husband and she and I have many problems unrelated to race. But more and more often I ask myself: Is she right? Are we just too different? And are these differences biological — and more importantly — can they be overcome for the sake of our marriage and the love we still have for one another? Would it have been better to have persevered through my periods of crushing loneliness and only dated within my own race? Would it be better to separate now and save ourselves future heartache?

My wife and I have been married for several years but are childless. However, we have recently been talking about having children. We think having kids might give us something to hope for, something to come together over, and would help motivate us to struggle through to the ultimate goal of a harmonious marriage. I am not so sure about this. I have serious doubts that marriage could ever be salvaged, and feel like we would just traumatize any poor child that we bring into this world. But now, right now, her period is late, and we have just had yet another demoralizing, soul crushing fight as I write this.

Please God, tell me what to do, because I just don’t know.

JS/God: Get out John, get out before it’s too late. How is having kids going to make this better? It will only trap you. And they will be more like here and take her side. When you divorce, you’ll have to support these people who hate you.

I agree about the way the media portrays things to look like blacks are being targeted when they’re not.

If you have not seen the pattern you are either not paying attention or blind.
Janos is 100% correct about the race baiting.
The media tend to make all blacks victims of something.
They also rarely show pictures of black criminals while glee fully showing whites being arrested or mug shots.

Obama went out of his way to get involved in several highly publicized blacks getting killed over criminal or thuggish type behavior.
Trayvon Martin if I had a son he would look like Trayvon

Or the notorious case of Mike Brown being shot right after a strong arm hold up of a convenience store and then bringing his fists to a gun fight.

In each case the narrative was massaged to appear like the person put down was far less aggressive and just minding their business. They went so far as to show pictures of a much younger individuals which is straight up propaganda.

I’ll stop as soon as you admit Blacks commit 50% of the violent crimes in America – even though only 13% of the population. –janos

The idea that Black people are wantonly attacking white people in some sort of quiet race war is an untruthful and damaging narrative with a very long history in America.

Americans’ unsubstantiated views about the potential of violence from Black people was the number one excuse they used to justify slavery, lynching, Jim Crow and various forms of mass incarceration.

Never was Klan violence or the lynching of black people by white people ascribed to an inherent white trait. Without the ability to claim oppression of black people as a form of self-defense, racial segregation and white supremacy would be seen for what they are: rank oppression of other people for financial or other benefit.

When Trump was a candidate he tweeted a tweet with a graphic filled with bogus crime statistics. The graphic Trump tweeted supposedly showed that Black people are uniquely violent. The Washington Post found that the data in Trump’s tweet to be false.

One of the most exaggerated statistics was about the number of white people killed by other white people. Trump’s tweet claimed the number was 16 percent, while the FBI’s data shows it is 82 percent.

The tweet also asserted that 81 percent of whites are killed by Black people; the FBI number is 15 percent.

As the Post concluded, “Trump cast Blacks as the primary killers of whites, but the exact opposite is true. By overwhelming percentages, whites tend to kill other whites. Similarly, Blacks tend to kill other Blacks. These trends have been observed for decades.”

    • JohnAZ May 9, 2020 at 6:53 pm #

It is true that whites mostly kill whites and blacks kill blacks. But it is also true that black people commit a quite disproportionate amount of crime. Pretending it ain’t so is such a waste of time.

I hope that tendency could be vastly improved when the black family is brought together again. 73% fatherless is a recipe for crime.

The DOJ court filing to drop Flynn’s criminal case used the attorney identification number for the previous US attorney, a technical error that will likely not escape the notice of Judge Sullivan.

Barr fucked up. Flynn is in deep shit. The Justice Department now says it doesn’t want to prosecute Flynn, but Sullivan has the authority to keep the case alive. Barr’s inability to correctly file could mean jail for Flynn, who has already pleaded guilty.

The US is mishandling the virus situation IMO. The issue is that I cannot trust any faction because they all seem to lie. I only can go on what I think is the most logical path. Social distancing for the general population is a mistake. That only applies for the elderly and the unhealthy (all of a sudden the term”co-morbidity” has become a part of the common language).

I am 75, but I’m in good health with no co-morbidities that I know of. So, what should I and my wife do? I like to gamble, but the stakes in this game are very high. I’m social distancing with a mask. It might be unnecessary, but what do I have to lose? At least I have an excuse. Many others don’t – end social distancing in the gen pop.

    • JohnAZ May 9, 2020 at 6:49 pm #

IMHO, the PTB have not even found the primary source of transmission of the virus. The country is not following the surge model that the CDC came up with. Most of the country is steady state with a slight upward trend. The states with very little urbanization, such as Montana and Wyoming, have almost zero cases. This is a disease of the cities but even where isolation has been practiced, the down trend of the surge is leveling off at a significant level.

I brought up a study yesterday that said that wastewater from sewage has the virus in it. Overworked and old waste water systems might spread this stuff all over the place. If so, Trump and the Dems better start working on the infrastructure updates PDQ. The article said some of the urban systems are from the 1800s.

Treat your house and car like a germ free haven. Sanitize then sanitize anything that enters it. We use the laundry room as a portal where everything is disinfected before being brought in. The car is the same, you use it or haul stuff in it, disinfect it as much as possible.

Wash hands anytime you touch something from outside that has not been disinfected. At our age, unless you have a big problem with it, a mask protects others from you and protects you from droplets containing the virus, not the virus. The n95 and all the fitting being discussed is necessary for airborne transmission, not droplet. So far, 19 has not indicated airborne transmission. Another reason to wear the mask in public is it keeps you from touching most of your face in the danger zone. One thing I would definitely say is that it is a big difference being in NYC instead of Billings, Montana as far as risk. If almost no one in the ambient has the virus, you are not going to get it. If you live in a crowded environment, mask and distance is a requirement. I would keep your house and car as “clean” as possible.

The same dysfunction is seen in Britain – where they went voluntarily. The British people refused to treat Black GI’s as second class citizens during the War. Did that win them any points with the incoming Caribbean Blacks or from say, Barack Obama? No. Racism is a two way street. And there are no successful Black Countries. They are a 2nd class race. Democrat presidents have always been better – at least as far back as FDR. They understand how both macroeconomics and microeconomics work – and how to implement policies that are effective.

Republicans only have three goals: (1) tax cuts for the rich and the corporations, (2) spend like drunken sailors on “defence” (ie, offence), so their rich donors get fat contracts, and (3) squeeze the bejeezus out of the safety net for the lower 80% (while clutching their bibles on Sundays).

“Facemask would make me look stupid” claims 70 year old with a spraytan

    • Majella May 10, 2020 at 1:27 am #

Full time golfer and part time United States President Donald Trump has today refused to wear a facemask while touring sterile medical facilities, claiming that wearing a piece of fabric over his face during a pandemic would cause the obese spraytanned 70 year old with a combover to look stupid.

“How would people see the puckered look I do with my lips when I’m trying to pronounce China?” asked Trump while waddling to his latest press conference. “People would lose respect for me if they couldn’t see much luscious lips forming three times the consonants I’m actually saying.”

Instead, to retain his air of intelligence, the President who recently suggested filling people’s lungs with bleach opted to wear safety goggles, which everyone agreed was the much smarter choice in case the virus somehow missed his nose and mouth. “You know they say light cures the virus, so by wearing these glasses I’ll be trapping all the sunlight that enters my eyes as it won’t be able to get out again,” explained Trump. “That’s just science, you know I’m very brain thingy about these things.”

I actually agree with him … he would present so ridiculously that the whole Trumpian image would come crashing down … he would look just like any other 70yo bloke who was fat and didn’t look after himself, pushing a cart around Walmart, picking up Cheerios and Pop Tarts … in a bit of a hurry because he wants to get home and catch Wheel of Fortune. Sad!

  86. Cargill May 10, 2020 at 2:59 am #

    Trump in a tweet yesterday:

“So in California, the Democrats, who fought like crazy to get all mail in only ballots, and succeeded, have just opened a voting booth in the most Democrat area in the State. They are trying to steal another election. It’s all rigged out there. These votes must not count. SCAM!”

Imagine that … those wily Democrats are trying to allow as many people as possible to vote in an election, and to do it safely during a plague year. There oughta be a law against it!

The Republican Party is the most undemocratic organisation in any country in the world that has the temerity to call itself a democracy.

    • benr May 10, 2020 at 7:19 am #

OR the actual narrative is to allow as many illegal aliens to vote via the motor voter id act which AUTOMATICALLY sign them up to vote.
They must uncheck something to opt out!
You see anything you splatter this site with can be easily refuted when dealing with the absolute do anything to WIN Democrat party and the worst part about it they don’t need to cheat to win. All the need to do is have a reasonable platform with centrist ideas and its a slam dunk.

Instead the roll out the victim mentality and identity politics and try to steal elections through illegal vote casting.

Look up True The Vote. They are at the forefront of the voter fraud problem. You will see they are widely condemned by Leftists but consider what they say. I think they are doing good work personally.

      • Cargill May 10, 2020 at 10:38 am #

Haha … you guys are just so predictable … I was certain that you would throw up “voter fraud” as a reason not to allow a vote-by-mail.

In order to register to vote in California, you must be (a) a United States citizen by birth or otherwise, and (b) be a permanent resident of California. You need to be able to prove both of these in order to obtain a driver’s licence, or an ID, or indeed to register a vehicle in your name.

It is completely logical that voter registration be managed via the DMV in each state … since it is an identity and residency based protocol requirement that is similar to owning and driving a vehicle.

Anyway, this is a total strawman … allowing (or only having) vote-by-mail is not a source of greater illegal voting – whatever happens in the registration process happens previous to – and entirely independent of – what happens on election day.

The corrupt Repubs cannot stand it when states or counties run efficient operations to try and maximise voter registration and participation. They know they lose when the turnout is high.

Trump squealed like a stuck pig himself when he heard California has dared to open another voting booth in a Democrat-heavy area. Does he actually understand what he’s saying? How utterly evil he’s being?

And BTW I actually do believe in proper, lawful voter registration, and also believe you should have to be on the roll at least a month before an election (none of this election-day registration nonsense – the election dates are known months – in fact decades – in advance).

I also think that if you change address to the extent that you move from one congressional district to another, then it’s your responsibility to have your enrolment up-dated, again, at least a month prior to election day.

There should be a lot of personal responsibility on each voter to get registered on the roll, and to keep the details up to date if you move.

But I also think that there should be no ID requirement imposed on a voter – we have none in Australia and there’s no fraud. You turn up, state your name and address, and it’s marked off the roll as voted. You can’t vote twice as that person, and nor can anyone else.

There should also be plenty of booths so access is reasonable, and wait times are short. There should be plenty of pre-polling (no reason required), with good flexible hours for working people.

And of course vote-by-mail for everyone would be ideal – and none of this bulldust about having to get it “notarised” (witnessed) by some official … what an obvious and devious voter-suppression scam that one is.

Republican thugs are so desperate to keep the turnout as low as possible – they are traitors and thieves.

        • benr May 10, 2020 at 12:29 pm #

Wrong they will register you with a matricular consoler card but hey the Australian thinks he knows more than an actual voting and REGISTERED Californian. Do you even know what one is?
No no don’t google it oh there you go now you have googled it.
So did you know any Mexican national can get a matricular counsolar card with zero verification they are who they say they are? Of course you approve as you are a scofflaw if it allows your rotten side to win.
That means they can have one or fifty each with a different name.
          Now why is that important?
They can also use it turn on water and power in California and with that they have evidence of living in California and when they fail to the bill the utilities are turned off and they then pull another card and have them turned on over and over. They can also register to vote and get a DI using what ever name they want. The only thing they can’t easily get around is the finger print required to get the verified id.
This has become such a scam the Drivers license is no longer used as proof or id only the real id card from California.
So smart ass know it all why don’t you know all this?

You are so damn retarded its not even funny.

    • BackRowHeckler May 10, 2020 at 9:58 am #

The media tends to cover that sh#t up. I saw it myself in Hartford when the 12 yo handicapped white kid was dropped off at the wrong bus stop and set upon and beaten to death on the sidewalk. They did say he had autism, was an orphan, and cried out for his grandparents before he died. The story quickly died. Who remembers it now?

      • wpa_ccc May 10, 2020 at 12:58 pm #

You are both propagating the LIE that main stream media doesn’t cover stuff like this. It was reported by the Associated Press, by FoxNews, by the Newark Post, NBC News, etc.

Why don’t you do a simple Google search before saying: “IGNORED bymainstream media”

You are propagating false claims denigrating legitimate news sources.

        • Janos Skorenzy May 10, 2020 at 1:38 pm #

Why didn’t they frame it and then scream it to the skies like they do when Black kids get kilt doing something wrong?

Cuz the White is typically completely innocent and the contrast couldn’t be hidden. The Black kids who get killed are typically NOT completely innocent. The one who got killed because he was pretending to shoot people with a look a like toy gun wasn’t guilty – just stupid. Darwin award.

          • sophia May 10, 2020 at 3:27 pm #

These goons here don’t care about truth, nor do they care about blacks. It is pretense.
Yes, the media may slightly cover something that cannot go totally unreported. But it is all in how they play it up or quietly drop it.
The problem with allowing blacks to play the race card is that is it only the pathetic ones who will do it, and those ones are dishonest. They don’t care that they are ultimately going to cause a backlash against their own.
Lack of socialization leads to crime. Not having fathers is the biggest cause. Having a public that is cowed into tolerating serious misconduct only encourages more, as with bullies.

Blacks need to be expected to behave as adults, not the perpetual children of white people.
The thing is, lots of blacks have no reason to doubt the narrative that is fed to this nation. Thus it is very disheartening for them to think that white people hate them.

          • Janos Skorenzy May 10, 2020 at 4:01 pm #

It’s natural to hate the Other. If Whites can’t remember how to hate we’re going to lose everything. We wouldn’t have to if the Other had been kept out of our nations.

Only the Warrior Saints like Arjuna or Ali can fight without hating. To ask me not to hate is to disarm them. And that is hatred indeed when they are surrounded by enemies as Whites now are.

Real Nations are mono-racial, Sophia. Look up the etymology of the word, “nation”. And any man who is a man was freaked out by the long lines of Brown Men marching into Germany, lines that stretched to the horizon. But German women thought it was great! Civilization seems to be mostly a male project I’m afraid….

And as Anglin said, imagine if two million young Chinese women marched into Europe wearing shorts, their lovely tanned and taut legs gleaming in the sun. Think European women would have been out there welcoming them? Well, this is far more serious than that because Civilization is a masculine project. If German men are overwhelmed, than Germany goes Muslim. Liberal Humanism can’t compete with living religions after all.

Judicial Watch is hardly impartial or credible … it is an attack-dog for the Republican Right, and only goes for Democrats.

Can’t you find anything a bit more legit? And in any case, even if electoral rolls are inaccurate – why does this outfit pick on blue states? It’s just a piece of partisan garbage.

It is such a dishonest, immoral and corrupt culture … it should be possible to have a national electoral commission with state divisions – remove all this stuff from the influence of state legislatures, counties, and cities.

I certainly agree there are dodgy Democrat processes going on as well – but not 10% as corrupt as the voter suppression indulged in by the Repub thugs. Dems don’t try to keep the voter turnout lower.

Anyway – if the Californian electoral roll is inaccurate, then fix it … make sure only genuine citizens can vote. But this has NOTHING to do with the legitimacy and good sense of a total vote-by-mail system, especially in a plague year.

The Repub babies are so scared of that!

Mail in stuff is to easily tampered with it simply won’t work.
American elections have been a hot bed of tampering from the start despite Democrats saying election fraud is low they are after all the ones who still do everything they can to make it easy to commit the fraud.

You can squeal all you want but the reality is the fdraud almost always goes to Democrats.

Our Constitution allows certain freedoms, but most of us don’t ponder the prices we must pay for them.

Freedom of speech is a fundamental right in our society. Unfortunately, it can be misused to foster hate and discord. What am I talking about? The virus. No, not Covid-19, but an infection on this website. It’s been here for a long time. Many of the posters are not who they say they are.
    That’s what I’m referring to.

So far this week there’s 1500 comments posted, and many are from
trolls or from those paid to make comments. And some of them have been regulars here for a long time. Believe me, I don’t come to this conclusion lightly.

We joke about Trump Delusion Syndrome, but many of the anti-Trump comments are off-the-wall. Dislike him, yes; dislike his politics, yes – I don’t disagree with some of it. Everyone ought to be allowed to voice their opinion. But launching numerous, unceasing, nasty and personal Trump attacks beyond reason tells me these posters have another agenda. It’s too bad that such a nice blog has to be so disrespected.

Well said Bill. But let’s remember It was only meant for Christian Europeans as Adams said. Not for weirdo trash raised by the TV set and single Mothers. The only reason Manhattan isn’t a demon haunted wasteland right now is because guys like Rudi, Blumie, and Cuomo with the support of guys like Trump, suspended the civil rights of young minorities in order to stop and frisk. They made life hard for them and found an enormous number of them carrying weapons. The Constitution was never mean for them to begin with – and they will always use it against us to the extent they assimilate and are able to. Thus the are enemies at the level of the street or in the boardrooms, courts, and Capital buildings. Those who aren’t are simply a burden for the most part.

It’s what you get with presidential systems, rather than the collegiate style of the Westminster model. They elect dictators for x years – and wonder why far too often they go power mad.

The US has elected a bad one, and all the foibles of the constitution – written by a naive aristocracy that feared genuine democracy – are coming home to roost. Sad!

From 2011 through 2018, stops went down 98 percent while felonies declined an additional 12 percent. Today in New York City, use of stop-and-frisk has crashed (thanks to Bill de Blasio ending it). Yet the statistics are clear: Crime is lower than ever.

“We Sent Them Samples Of A Goat, A Papaya & A Pheasant”: Tanzanian President Catches WHO In Epic Lie

The Chinese got Trump to remove tariffs on Chinese exports in exchange for a promise to buy $200 Billion in American exports, but China had no intention of keeping that promise. Trump got played. Once again America gets screwed. Trump loses. China wins. He negotiated and America got nothing. China only had to offer words to get Trump to lift the tariffs.

Trump has praised China 15 times, praising Xi for being “transparent.” Trump believed China when it said the corona virus outbreak was being controlled. Now 77,000 Americans are dead from the virus. Trump got played by Xi.

‘Our relationship with China is the best it’s ever been,’ Trump said January 15. He touted his ‘great relationship’ with President Xi in a January 24 interview with CNBC from Davos.

Trump tweeted January 24: ‘China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus’ and the U.S. ‘appreciates their efforts and transparency’

Trump said on Feb. 7: “Just had a long and very good conversation by phone with President Xi of China. He is strong, sharp and powerfully focused on leading the counterattack on the Coronavirus. He feels they are doing very well, even building hospitals in a matter of only days … Great discipline is taking place in China, as President Xi strongly leads what will be a very successful operation.” Wrong. Trump got played.

Trump said on Feb. 10: “I spoke with President Xi, and they’re working very, very hard. And I think it’s all going to work out fine.”
Trump fail again. Listens to dictators instead of his own intelligence agencies who were warning him in January of what the real situation was. Now 77,000 Americans are dead because Trump got played by China.

I could list more examples, but suffice it to say even Trump now recognizes that for all his efforts to praise and placate Xi, China is now trying to get Biden elected. Trump got played.

          • akmofo May 10, 2020 at 4:32 pm #

            I see.

So, Trump got fooled by China who was negotiating in bad faith. The “China deal” will be a no deal, and this in your eyes gives China the “win”.

So now loser Trump will have egg on his face because China has been exposed time and again to be completely untrustworthy.

Of-course, the CCP will need to explain why anyone will want to do business with them. I think we are already well on the way to most countries understanding this reality by the fact that they are relocating their manufacturing out of China as fast as they can.

I suppose that’s a big win for China and big loss for Trump. Thank you, Jelly, for making this so clear to me.

Fool me once, won’t get fooled again.

Now 77,000 Americans are dead because Trump got played by China.

Yes, and many more are dead outside the US because they too got played by China. Well, looks like China came out from all this as the big winner. The CCP managed to fool the whole world. Will be interesting to see what will be the reaction of the whole world to such. My guess is that things are about to get very unpleasant for commie China.

          • JohnAZ May 10, 2020 at 6:03 pm #

Yep! Trump played by the Chinese.

And WHO! The initial reaction by all the countries was in reaction that WHO put out that it was not transmittable person to person in January. That was a fatal statement.

          • JohnAZ May 10, 2020 at 6:12 pm #

Yep, Trump, and Obama before him with a lot of help from Biden. Then Bush before him, and Clinton before him, and Bush before him, and Reagan before him, and Carter before him and Ford before him and Nixon before him.

Why have the presidents feared China? Did they all really think they could make China a western country? Here is a big question. Why have we treated China like a good buddy, and Russia like a total enemy after the wall came down. We made a deal with Russia after Bush stopped the Cold War that we would help their economy. We then reneged on the deal almost immediately.

No wonder no one trusts the US.

UK: Government Coronavirus Data is “Nonsense,” DHSC Epidemiologist Says

    Anglin speaks:

Government clowns listen to clown experts, while ignoring the experts who put the Doom Virus narrative in jeopardy with their facts and data. There is no comprehensive data on how many epidemiologists agree with the lockdown, but several heavily credentialed members of that particular scientific community have come out and publicly stated that they don’t know anyone who agrees with it and they don’t even understand where the government is finding these scientists.

Well, we know where the US government found Anthony Fauci – he hoaxed the AIDS hoax in the 80s and 90s, claiming that the virus had nothing to do with homosexuality and it was only a matter of time before heterosexuals started getting it in mass. Then he went to work for Bill Gates, which is how he got the job he has now, running the lockdown in the US.

We also know where Neil Ferguson came from: his research at Imperial College London was also funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

These are not real scientists. They are agents of Bill Gates who were hired by the government to implement a new totalitarian system.

Real scientists do not support this hoax.

So far, I’m not aware of one single epidemiologist who is not directly linked to the government and/or Bill Gates who agrees with this lockdown, or the lunatic data that is being put forward by the government.

Epidemiologist expert Tim Spector, who is a professor and head of genetic epidemiology at King’s College London, claims that most coronavirus cases are going undiagnosed and that the government data on coronavirus cases is “nonsense.”

And get this: he actually is employed by the government!

    Daily Mail:

The government’s refusal to recognise symptoms like a loss of taste or smell has led to two thirds of cases going undiagnosed, a leading epidemiologist has claimed.

Tim Spector, professor at King’s College London, said the failure to acknowledge the symptoms has led to statisticians collecting data which is ‘nonsense’.

    Professor Tim Spector

The Government has listed a fever temperature and a persistent cough as primary symptoms of the killer virus.

But there is growing evidence that a loss of taste and smell are tell-tale signs of infection.

Other nations, like the US, have revised their guidelines to include the symptom and help doctors spot patients.

Officially, just 212,000 Britons have been diagnosed with confirmed coronavirus – but millions of cases have been missed because of a lack of mass testing.

Professor Spector told The Times: ‘Only people with those two symptoms got tested and ended up on the statistics.

‘All this governmental data on confirmed cases and how many people have recovered, it’s all nonsense.

He added: ‘The reason that we got a bit stuck in this country is we took the data from China and just instantly said, “OK, the disease only has two symptoms: it’s fever or it’s persistent cough.” That meant we were missing about 60 per cent of cases.’

Professor Spector has been working with the Department of Health and Social care on a tracking app, which has been sending 10,000 users Covid-19 tests each week within days of them showing symptoms.

Professor Spector has collected data from three million Britons on the app and said the loss of smell and taste has been a recurring symptom.

Other findings from the symptom-tracker data suggest the virus could have arrived on British shores as early as January, and as many as one in 10 people may have been infected.

They also estimate that two million people were infected with the respiratory illness at the start of January, dropping to 300,000 at the start of May.…

Downing Street’s own scientific advisers have previously said as much as 10 per cent of London (900,000 people) had already been infected.

Spector doesn’t even mention asymptomatic cases.

According to data from Iceland, half of infected people show no symptoms at all.

Data from California suggests that a lot of people had the virus without even realizing it.

A study in New York City (now three weeks old) showed that 1/5th of the population had been infected at some point. Millions of people certainly did not go to the hospital for this infection.

The death numbers are also an utter hoax. Not only does no epidemiologist agree with the way the government is doing the denominator, they disagree with how they’re doing the numerator.

I don’t know how they’re keeping track of this in the UK, but I assume it’s similar to what the US is doing. In the US, the CDC ordered hospitals to record any potential death related to coronavirus as being caused by coronavirus. Further, Anthony Fauci’s henchman Madam Birx – another AIDS hoaxer who has received big money from Bill Gates – announced that anyone who tested positive would be counted as a coronavirus death even if they died of something else.

All the way back in March, Dr. John Ioannidis, one of the only celebrity epidemiologists in America whose reputation was impeccable before the media started calling him a conspiracy theorist over this coronavirus hoax, noted that we have to draw a distinction between dying of coronavirus and dying with coronavirus.

Many people are getting this virus while they’re at the hospital to be treated for something that was going to kill them anyway. I missed the story when it happened, but back in March the media reported that a guy who fell off a ladder died of coronavirus.

Lehigh County Coroner Eric Minnich confirmed the patient died Friday night at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill. He said the primary cause of the man’s death was a head injury from a fall at home, but that the virus may have contributed to his death.

The entire body of data they are presenting to the public is fake.

This virus is in the same threat category as the flu.

These government scientists are pushing the agenda of the government, which is to lock everyone in their houses, collapse the economy and implement a bizarre high-tech police state where everyone is tracked and monitored everywhere they go, you have no basic rights, there is no law, and you can be disappeared in the night for any or no reason.

    We have to protest.

Once this beast system is locked in place, it’s going to be a whole lot harder to get out of than it was to get in.

I can promise you that every person who fails to protest now is going to live to regret that decision.

JS: The Murder Hornets are Tracker Jackers! The movie itself was predictve programming, just like the opening ceremony of the London Olympics. And yes on numerators and denominators. A decimal number like .02 is simply one way of expressing a fraction. For example the total number of people who “get it” (numerator) divided by the total number of people who need hospital care (denominator). Or the total number of people who get vs the total who feel anything. Or total vs those who have symptoms serious enough miss work. Or total (that we know about!) vs the total who die, etc.

All valid and interesting data. We need more studies about how many actually get it. Once we have that, the rest of the data can be put into better context. Preliminary data indicates the number to be very high – which means the disease isn’t that dangerous. It’s going to be like the cold or a flu from now on. Nothing to get hung about! Strawberry fields (Red or Deplorable Power) forever.

Note: Kdog could do the math stuff way better than me. As could a number of other posters. Verbal and logic are my strong points, not math. But his intelligence has been hijacked and he prefers to scream about Trump killing people. Don’t vote for him….

“I don’t know how they’re keeping track of this in the UK, but I assume it’s similar to what the US is doing.”

What kind of utterly stupid moron comes out with a statement like that on the basis of his utterly stupid lack of information? And if he comes out with utterly stupid moronic ASSUMPTIONS like this, how much else of what he says if unsubstantiated tripe?

Deaths from coronavirus in the UK are MASSIVELY UNDER-REPORTED because GPs are putting ‘bronchial pneumonia’ or some other SYMPTOM of Covid on death certificates due to a lack of test kits. Only deaths in hospital are accurate because people are all tested there. My brother was tested for Covid when he had a heart attack because myocarditis is a possible symptom of Covid. But he tested negative, so his death certificate will not say Covid on it.

Not much of the rest of this pointless post conflicts with anything we know already, i.e. that loads of people have had Covid and had no symptoms. And we’ve all known for an age that a loss of taste and smell are symptoms so this moron must be Rip Van Winkle.

People with agendas get up my nose. Especially when I don’t want to comment in the first place, but can’t stand idiotic lies from people with agendas.

I do not know if you saw the post I did about waste water being a potential source of the virus. My question was, could one reason the virus hit the cities so bad is old or inadequate waste water cleanup. Could that affect U.K., I do not know the condition of your infrastructure?
I do believe that respiratory droplets are not the only source of transmission. Something is keeping this steady state instead of decreasing, in most states here.

          • GreenAlba May 11, 2020 at 7:09 am #

Yes, I did see your post about recycled water and found it interesting. There is a huge amount we don’t know. I know that in London the drinking water is recycled in that way. But there are also more people than anywhere else living in close proximity, living in inadequate housing, and using cramped tube trains and buses to get to work. So I guess we’re a long way from knowing all the factors, how they relate and the weighting of each. But it’s an interesting point.

There has been a huge increase in people cycling to work – it is hoped that one of the few good things to come out of this is that much of this will remain permanent. People have got used to cleaner air, and are enjoying it. Millions are currently being invested in pop-up cycle lanes and more permanent ones, in the hope of keeping numbers on public transport manageable with social distancing measures.

          • GreenAlba May 11, 2020 at 7:21 am #

And my last point on the matter…

I note that Nightowl hasn’t accused you or Beantownbill of being low-IQ submissives for choosing to wear masks and take other precautions. He reserved that for a post I wrote on the subject.

Beantownbill hopes wearing a mask will help him, but mostly what would help Beantownbill would be other people wearing a mask. It wouldn’t prevent him or you (or me) getting the virus, but it would help a bit, as you know yourself, and would lower the transmission rate, which can help manage hospital capacity.

I saw a young American bar worker describe his worries because he’s asthmatic and soon expected go back to work (he looked about 20-25). He was explaining how Americans don’t behave like other people. In other countries, he said, people willingly follow measures to help keep other people safe, while ‘Americans do what Americans want to do’. He didn’t say it with pride, but rather with disappointment that his fellow citizens were unlikely to care about his asthma.

My husband has family in the US (as I do). His American brother-in-law runs a family DIY store/lumber yard. There are four brothers and four stores. The stores don’t make much money – it’s his wife, who works in NYC, who brings home the bacon for the largest part. He himself left a banking career to run the store when his father died.

Anyway, one of the four stores is an area with lots of Orthodox Jewish people. They have refused, on religious principle, to abide by the request to observe social distancing within the store and wear masks like the other customers, out of mutual courtesy. So, since the brother in question was unable to fulfil his legal obligation to protect his staff, or provide a safe environment for his customers, he had no option but to close the store and furlough the staff.

Janos would approve the actions of the religious zealots because he’s already said people should boycott shops who ask people to follow such measures. So what can you do? And that’s a family business of the type everyone claims to want to support. But clearly not when there’s an ideological point to be won.

          • GreenAlba May 11, 2020 at 8:54 am #

“in the hope of keeping numbers on public transport manageable”

With the proviso, of course, that many people who normally take the train into cities to work may take their cars instead to avoid public transport. Swings and roundabouts. Could get worse!

I have heard the complaint about several countries, UK included, that many questionable deaths are being attributed to covid. That doctors are putting pneumonia on a respiratory death in these past few weeks? Kinda hard to believe.

        • GreenAlba May 11, 2020 at 6:46 am #

Thank you for your condolences, Janos.

          >i>”So you agree the that the numerator is very large – thus making the disease not that dangerous?”

I agree that many, many people have probably had Covid either without knowing they’ve had it, or not being sure they’ve had it, or just having mild to moderate symptoms (and not being tested). I have never argued the opposite.

The statement ‘the disease is not that dangerous’ is meaningless. To many people the disease is not that dangerous. To others it is fatal, including to over 120 health and care workers clearly otherwise well enough to be working and trying to save people’s lives. To many more it will have life-changing effects on their future health and may cause their premature death some months down the line.

I saw an account yesterday of a male care worker with no pre-existing conditions, who looked about 30. He started to have Covid symptoms, at home, but was reasonably ‘well’. Then within 30 minutes he was suddenly dead. I don’t call that a disease that is not that dangerous. Despite the slowly gathering knowledge about who’s vulnerable to it and why, we still don’t know why someone like that would just suddenly succumb without their symptoms being particularly worrying.

I totally agree that the death rate is low, but we still have to manage our hospital capacity. And going on endlessly about Nightingale hospitals being hardly used (good!!) isn’t the point. They were going to be staffed by workers from other hospitals, stretching both, and by workers persuaded to return after leaving the profession or retiring. They were an emergency stand-by measure, and it is a blessing that (so far) they haven’t been needed. As I said before, a critical care bed without a critical care nurse might as well be a bar stool. And a critical care nurse without PPE might as well be a barmaid. Boris Johnson got TWO critical care nurses when he was in hospital – often it’s now one nurse to two critical patients – and they need constant surveillance.

We are short of PPE. I had to buy goggles for my husband from eBay because the rubbish he was given looked like something out of a Xmas cracker. The item in question finally appeared on the news last night, with a doctor showing exactly what I said, that they fall off if you move your head, and they’ve finally been categorised officially as unsafe. That’s taken two months. They were part of stockpiles from 2009 which the incompetent Boris Johnson and his incompetent ministers didn’t update when they were advised to last year and (in the case of the previous Tory government) every year before that.

Another thing we can thank the Tory government for is the fact that care workers mostly have no sick pay provision, and they are low paid. So when they have symptoms they often go into work anyway, because they have bills to pay. And since many of them are peripatetic, working in several care homes every day or week, they have facilitated the spread of the virus throughout the sector. That could have been remedied by emergency legislation to allow such staff sick pay, even if only for the period of the pandemic.

I am very much looking forward to the results of the official enquiry into the Johnson government’s handling of the crisis, if I live that long. Preparation could have enabled us to avoid the worst of the lockdown. On the other hand, if we’d locked down early enough, the lockdown could have been over by now, with many fewer deaths.

“That doctors are putting pneumonia on a respiratory death in these past few weeks? Kinda hard to believe.”

I wish I could give a flying f*ck what you believe.

I recall you ‘believed ‘a totally dumb story about ‘31,000 scientists’.

So I know how you like to choose what to believe.

          Since you asked:

          (plus the two subsequent posts).

My observation is that you start with an agenda and choose the facts which fit your narrative.

Imagine if someone said ‘31,000 Covid deaths’ means months of lockdown are necessary. I think you’d suddenly find that 31,000 meant very little, compared to all the people who didn’t die.

“Once this beast system is locked in place, it’s going to be a whole lot harder to get out of than it was to get in.

I can promise you that every person who fails to protest now is going to live to regret that decision.”

Sounds about right, aside from the second sentence. Most will either blame Trump or be happy to tell you about why the New Normal is *ackshuallllly* a great thing.

Excuse me, I forgot to my Fake Nooz anchorword programming.

        You got that wrong Nightowl.
It is the very same ones afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome that think the lockdown is fabulous, and as I watch in mounting horror at the march of the police state, I see that those are not going to mind one bit.

Indeed the progressive left has angled towards a police state and occasionally lurched forward with the help of rinos like George W. Bush and the unpatriot act.

The CCP managed to fool the whole world. –akmofo

China will weaponize medicines that other countries might need. For instance, medicines can be made with lethal contaminants or sold without any real medicine in them, rendering them ineffective. Ditto PPE and faulty medical equipment like ventilators. American industries’ focus on cutting costs leaves no room to invest in building enough slack in the system to respond to crises. So, the problem is not really China or the CCP. The problem is America. China just managed to capitalize on America’s own appetites and the structure of American industry.

Sure, why not, war is war. Again, I wonder how the rest will react to such.

“Sure, why not, war is war. Again, I wonder how the rest will react to such.” –akmofo

Why do you think the will “react” at all? Britain sourced millions of coronavirus testing kits from two Chinese firms, spending $20 million, only to find that they didn’t even work. Has Britain declared war on China? On the contrary, with Brexit the U.K. will be seeking great new economic opportunities outside its traditional partnerships in Europe. It would be weird if China’s economy didn’t figure in that. You say “war is war” but the war, amigo, only goes one way.

How do you think countries like Spain, Turkey, the Netherlands will “react?” Can little countries do anything to a country that is the world’s largest supplier of goods? Everyone, including Trump, is getting played, and China is getting away with murder with no consequences.

Seems that’s even more reason to partner with China. Might be a tad hazardous for your health, but them Yuans are worth it. Will buy you lots of oil and other good stuff you may need.

Exactly, it seems like the only people that did not realize this fact are the presidents since Nixon.
