As the first of 12 presidential debates blows in at mid-week like an evil patch of bad summer weather, twenty candidates vie for the position of Ole Massa on the Democratic Party plantation, and the air is gravid with bad vibes.

One highly-favored entry, Mayor Pete (Buttigieg) of charming South Bend, Indiana, stepped into (and tripped over) a big fresh patty of mule poop over the weekend at a “town hall” meeting that was called to address the June 16 shooting of one Eric Logan, 54, by a police officer dispatched to check out “a suspicious individual going through cars” at 2:30 a.m. The officer said the suspect came at him with a knife. The officer failed to switch on his body-cam, or so the police department said. Conclusions were jumped to. Then, in the wee hours just before Mayor Pete’s June 24 town hall, another black man was killed and 10 other people wounded in the shoot-up of a watering hole called Kelly’s Pub.

God knows what that was about — no police were involved in the shoot-up — but Mayor Pete caught the blame for it, of course, and the Sunday town hall meeting turned into a shriek-in by outraged “community” members. He was hardly allowed to admit his failures, issue apologies, and promise to do better. After the ordeal, Mayor Pete struggled to hold in his tears talking to the media. No doubt he will be pressured to keep ‘splainin’ these matters until either his campaign folds up its tent or he is anointed at the national convention in Milwaukee.

Leader-of-the-Pack (in the polls, anyway) Joe Biden stepped into it perhaps even deeper than Mayor Pete last week when he bragged about how well he was able to work with the old southern segregationist fossils, Herman Talmadge (GA) and James O. Eastland (MS), who were still around in the senate when “Uncle Joe” first came on the scene decades ago. “We didn’t agree on much,” the former Veep said, “but we got things done.” What’s more, the candidate averred, going perhaps a bridge too far, Senator Eastland “never called me ‘boy,’ he always called me ‘son,’” as if Mr. Biden might have been mistaken for a waiter in the senators’ dining room, with its old fashioned-ways and renowned bean soup.

Senator Cory Booker (NJ), a.k.a. “Spartacus,” aiming to “speak truth to power,” as gladiators are wont to do, jumped on the remarks as “hurtful and harmful to African Americans.” Mr. Biden, something of a political fossil himself now, shot back that Senator Booker should apologize to him for imputing he had racist proclivities. The rest of the pack joined the feeding frenzy. Bernie Sanders backed up Mr. Booker’s call for a Biden apology. Senator Elizabeth Warren (MA), criticizing her leading rival said, “I’m not here to criticize other Democrats, but it’s never okay to celebrate segregationists. Never.” Senator Kamala Harris piled on, calling Mr. Biden “misinformed and wrong.”

The week’s doings left the impression that the Democratic Party has turned into one big race hustle, with reparations for slavery as the centerpiece on the banquet table and recriminations for “white privilege” as the main course. Senator Warren added a gender hustle amuse bouche to the menu over the weekend with demands for “reparations for gay and lesbian couples” who had to file income taxes as individuals in the pre gay marriage days.

African Americans comprise about 12.3 percent of the US population and about 4.5 percent “identify as” LGBTetc. The Hispanic demographic is 18.1 percent and the Democratic Party has already got them covered with its official opposition to the immigration laws — though there is evidence that Hispanic US citizen-voters are not uniformly on-board with that pander.

Now the party will be hard put to come up with some goodies for the rest of the US population. But it appears that it has only punishments and persecutions in mind for them. This may be the way the world ends for the party first consolidated by Andy Jackson, the old white slavemaster rascal, whose sins were later redressed with the election of Barack Obama. Hustling their way to an election disaster in 2020, they play right into the small-ish hands of Mr. Trump, the Golden Golem of Greatness.

“The week’s doings left the impression that the Democratic Party has turned into one big race hustle, with reparations for slavery as the centerpiece on the banquet table and recriminations for “white privilege” as the main course. ”

That hits the nail right on the head there, Jim. It is one big race hustle. The democrat presidential candidates have few real solutions to national institutional cascading failure. So, the ‘easy’ fix to get power is to play with turning the US into a giant version of Yugoslavia around 1989. Watch how well that will turn out. When you see private militias roaming the countryside with names like “Johnson’s Tigers” and setting up roadblocks under the name of the Provisional Government of So-and-So, you’ll know the country is fucked.

    • JohnAZ June 24, 2019 at 10:40 am #

Do you do hint that the reaction will be localization and every little burg will have its own identity? How will they decide which side they are supporting? Each household or neighborhood may have its own identity.

Do I see a India Pakistan style separation coming?

The Constitutional Americans get all the flyover states and the Gimmes get all the cities?

      Just wondering.

      • Ol' Scratch June 24, 2019 at 10:47 am #

Red state / blue state seems to be the natural division line, for now at least, although big cities in red state land tend to go blue. Perhaps big cities won’t be so big anymore? Hard to say right now, but Balkanization of some sort certainly seems to be in the cards.

      • PeteAtomic June 24, 2019 at 8:36 pm #

Well if we look at the last 40 some years, the divisions in serious civil disturbances have been divided on race lines, e.g.. the LA riots, the Ferguson, Missouri riots. I don’t know. Maybe a combination of political/race factions. Scratch may be right, I don’t know.
We have a large, complicated country, and I think if anything some serious devolution of power from DC will create a power vacuum which then (?) who steps in (?) in some places state governments and their populations are cohesive enough, or blocs of regional states, however– southern California? Chicagoland? Forget it. Mad Max, here we come.

    • Neon Vincent June 24, 2019 at 10:47 am #

I don’t share your dim assessment, which I view to be as much or more a right-wing fantasy than a left-wing one. That’s all I write about it, so I’m moving on to the debates.

I prepared for this week’s debates by performing two analyses of the Democratic candidates’ ideologies and they go from far left to center-left. There are hardly any moderates among the field. The first used DW-NOMINATE scores from Voteview, which has data on every candidate that served in Congress. According to this source, the most liberal candidates are Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, and Bernie Sanders, while the most moderate are Amy Klobuchar and Michael Bennet. The only problem is that the candidates who never served in Congress don’t have Voteview scores. On the other hand, OnTheIssues.org has scores for all the candidates except Wayne Messam, although it has a page for him. According to this source, Bernie Sanders is the most liberal, followed by Warren, Harris, and Joe Biden (!). The two most moderate candidates are Steve Bullock and John Hickenlooper. As for Pete Butigieg, he’s probably the most moderate candidate with significant support, but he’s pretty much in the center of the Democratic field.

All this talk about the debates reminds me it’s time to make a couple of drinking games. Wish me luck!

      • K-Dog June 24, 2019 at 11:15 am #

People should vote for the pet dog. It will do as much good. All we get is a bottom feeder no matter who wins. America is about competition not cooperation and no politician in America has what America needs to survive much less prosper.

All any Dem or Rep will do is turn up the heat!

      • SoftStarLight June 24, 2019 at 12:15 pm #

Yes distraction indeed!!! Let’s not discuss the actual causes of what ail us. Lets discuss pointless debate and drinking games. That will save the day!!!

        • toktomi June 24, 2019 at 2:38 pm #

          @SSL

Might just as well “discuss pointless”, I reckon, for what “ails us” most assuredly, I contend, is terminal; that is to say, there is no cure, no solution.

By contrast, however, I would offer that the discussion to have might be something other than how to rearrange the deck chairs but more like, “who’s up for a silly game of staying alive through the collapse?” And who better to lead such a discussion is there than the world-made-by-hand man himself, James Howard Kunstler? Such a discussion might even run off a fair bit of the human detritus that draw sustenance from bigotry and hate.

I could be wrong all counts.

          • SoftStarLight June 25, 2019 at 12:15 am #

I don’t think you are wrong on all counts. It does indeed appear that our condition is terminal. I don’t know though that I am there yet when it comes to believing that there is no solution. Though some solutions may be so horrid as to render them as non-options. Honestly its all pretty scary when you think about collapse in general. Surely one can plan and prep and should.
But what guarantee is there of survival? Silly question I know since eventually the mortality rate is 100% but you know what I mean.

IMHO bigotry and hatred have existed in the human heart for as long as kindness and love have. You will find them all where you find people. The more important detail is how one copes with and manages them.

      • abbybwood June 24, 2019 at 2:44 pm #

I find it odd there is no mention of Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii who also happens to be an active Lt. Col. in the Hawaii National Guard and who also served two tours of duty in Iraq and sits on The Armed Services Committee.

She will be in the first debate. She is a progressive and supports Medicare for All and stopping US regime change wars. Keep your eye on her tomorrow night.

I read today where illegal immigration is the number one issue for Americans of both parties. Too bad the Democrat candidates are on the wrong side of the issue as the word “sovereign” appears to be dirty to them.

But rest assured, if Google executives have their way there will be ZERO chance of another Trump election:

      • PeteAtomic June 24, 2019 at 8:31 pm #

Hi Neon, thanks for the links there. I’m gonna check out the scores.
Much of not most of the democrat candidates offer unrealistic bandaids to the weight of systemic problems working people in particular face; Universal health care, universal college, a UBI, sundry social service programs– all of this can not be feasible with a military budget that is serving an Empire. So, something is gotta break– and with the power of the arms lobby in the US– I don’t see universal anything happening.

      • Uncle Bob June 24, 2019 at 11:28 pm #

Allegedly, at the time he and The One were in the Senate, Biden and Barack the Magnificent ran one-two in the contest over who was the biggest lefty in the Senate, so him ranking fourth now shouldn’t be a giant surprise. (Biden’s leftism has to be the reason Obama picked as his running mate someone who made such stupidly racist comments as saying Obama was clean and articulate for a black man. Who the hell says something like that and isn’t instantly destroyed? Apparently Joseph Robinette Biden, the Homer Simpson of American politics.)

    • TraffickingInDivinity June 24, 2019 at 10:49 am #

These Democratic bloaks will form a circular firing squad and get Trump re-elected. They are clueless and charismaless.

      • PeteAtomic June 25, 2019 at 8:45 pm #

You are right, buddy. They have no charisma, that’s for sure. If you are gonna be a President of this complicated country, you better have charisma.

    • Walter B June 24, 2019 at 11:44 am #

Yes Pete, it is the smart move to hand out bribes to those that will not work to get ahead for votes and the best place to get the loot to hand out is to steal it from those that have to most to be taken. What we whites have to do to save ourselves is become able to get the thieves to look to the Chinese and wealthy Indians to rob instead as they are amassing quite the piles themselves and accomplishing it all without any “privilege” at least so far.

      • abbybwood June 24, 2019 at 2:51 pm #

Speaking of handing out bribes, Kamala Harris of the 3rd World State of Sanctuary California has declared that if elected President she will give all the teachers in the US a raise of $13,500/year!

Do we have $15,000??? $15,000 from Sen. Booker!!! $16k?? Anyone???

Why anyone would deliberately vote for such vile and corrupt slimeballs as this lot is beyond me (except for Gabbard).

        • Walter B June 24, 2019 at 3:00 pm #

You hit the nail right on the head abby. The answer to you wondering who would vote the scum in lies in the fact that so many are on the payroll that they have enough power to keep the same old same old in place. The corruption is almost total IMHO.

      • PeteAtomic June 24, 2019 at 8:59 pm #

“Yes Pete, it is the smart move to hand out bribes to those that will not work to get ahead for votes and the best place to get the loot to hand out is to steal it from those that have to most to be taken. ”

yeah, that seems to be what is happening.

    • SoftStarLight June 24, 2019 at 12:11 pm #

The balkanization process that you are referring to isn’t something the race hustling Democrats are instituting now because they have no other strategy for 2020. The balkanization process began when the immigration system changed in the 1960’s along with forced (by gunpoint) desegregation. That was the turning point that ensured America’s eventual demise. The Democrats are only making hay out of the failed system that both parties have allowed to exist. All politicians are responsible really. Who in politics is calling for a common identity and culture?

      • PeteAtomic June 24, 2019 at 8:59 pm #

“Who in politics is calling for a common identity and culture?”

great point. Nobody. It’s a shopping mall with a flag. Who would wanna die for that?

        • Walter B June 24, 2019 at 10:57 pm #

Exactly Pete, they are calling for diversity because keeping us at each other’s throats keeps us away from going after theirs!

        • SoftStarLight June 25, 2019 at 12:26 am #

Very true! And now the brick and mortar mall has been replaced by a virtual mall and the flag has been banned because it offended 0.03% of the population.

    • hmuller June 24, 2019 at 12:43 pm #

Pete, a situation like you envision is unfolding in Oregon.

The Governor and Democrat legislative majority are trying to institute carbon taxes, cap & trade (whatever they call it) The GOP legislators have disappeared into the hills to deny them a quorum.

The governor has tasked the state troopers to round them up by force. One of the GOP legislators has made some strong statements about resisting arrest with lethal force. And now some good old local militia boys have decided to get into the act.

It’s all a comic opera until someone gets killed. See link

      zerohedge.com/news/2019-06-23/oregon-militias-threaten-violence-over-gop-carbon-credit-standoff-capi…

      • BackRowHeckler June 24, 2019 at 2:05 pm #

Has the governor thought about sending state troopers to round up illegals?

      • PeteAtomic June 24, 2019 at 9:04 pm #

        wow

ridiculous situation there. Some “democracy” at action! LOL round up the guys by force to do what.. I suppose they would be locked up somewhere until they ‘decided’ LOL to vote your way!

        that’s fucked

        • Majella June 25, 2019 at 5:54 pm #

No, they just weren’t going to VOTE, or even debate, which is their elected responsibility after all. They’re deserters.

          • benr June 26, 2019 at 10:00 am #

Or they see the issue for what it is a waste of time and energy.

          • Majella June 27, 2019 at 6:39 pm #

Regardless, they have simply abdicated their democratic responsibility.

    • Janos Skorenzy June 24, 2019 at 1:11 pm #

In Oregon, the Republican Senators fled because they didn’t want to participate in passing a draconian carbon emissions bill. The Governor told the State Police to arrest them. One of the missing Senators tweeted that they better come heavily armed. Playing for the crowd? Sure – but the crowd in deep red Oregon loves it. And a Democrat rally for the Bill was cancelled in Salem due to threats by a militia.

    • gonetohell June 24, 2019 at 6:48 pm #

The fact that JHK, and the fools that hang on his every word, seemingly find nothing to pick apart in the Republican Party establishment, indicates a very low bar has been set as to what passes for intellect.

      • hmuller June 24, 2019 at 7:27 pm #

If you feel that way about JHK and his troup of fools, I hear the Rachel Maddow site is welcoming new fans.

        • gonetohell June 25, 2019 at 12:25 am #

I’ll have to get back to you. I’m still trying to find the word “troup” so I may give you an adequate response.

          • hmuller June 25, 2019 at 1:12 am #

OK, “troupe” then. Doesn’t it ever get tiresome for you to look down on others as intellectually inferior? I would guess it defines your persona in real life, if you have one?

      • Uncle Bob June 24, 2019 at 11:37 pm #

He can’t do it every column, one; and two, where else do you read about how corrupt and foolish the Democrat party has become? These 24 morons have more in common with Eugene Debs than they do with JFK, yet we’re to believe the great food warrior would’ve gone along with socialism and dragging down America for political gain. Is JHK supposed to ignore this and club Trump and the cowardly weasel, Paul Ryan, twice a week so your beliefs are affirmed?

      • Walter B June 25, 2019 at 12:10 am #

Sorry g-t-h, but I do believe that the majority of us do in fact understand that the republicans are totally useless as well, hence the reason that Donald Trump was able to steamroll them all and get the republican nod. Trump did not defeat Hillary Clinton because he was a republican or because he was good, but because she was so damned bad and even evil! The fact that the democratic party has been hijacked by radical progressives who tend towards violence is an issue that may very well result in more republican victories, but that is no indicator that anyone is really happy with the party. They party people are all sellout garbage, both sides.

      • benr June 25, 2019 at 1:44 pm #

I don’t think anyone will argue that Republicans are bad the argument and reality is that Democrats are worse in every measurable metric.

    • BlueGuyRedState June 26, 2019 at 5:18 pm #

Substitute ‘class’ for ‘race’ and practically the same.

White evangelicals are the core Trump base much like black churchgoers (many evangelical but not all) are the same for the DNC.

If us Berniecrats and DSA types can convince black churchgoers to give Bernie the nomination he was robbed of in 2016, we might stave off the collapse of the Republic long enough to fix a few things.

If not, look at the Oregon state house for a preview of coming attractions.

  2. JohnAZ June 24, 2019 at 10:33 am #

    One more for the Dems

AOC was offered a trip to see the concentration camps in Europe by a holocaust survivor. She declined stating it was a right wing stunt.

Ha, somebody has finally called her bluff on her stupidity. Hopefully someone in the media will place her on the ash heap of dumb politicians and quit covering everything she blathers.

Maybe she should visit the border before she makes claims about something she has never seen.

    • Ol' Scratch June 24, 2019 at 10:38 am #

She’s well meaning, but hopelessly naive. A young idealist who’s swum out into the deep water, only to find out that there’s man-eating things out there swimming with her.

That’s a good question. I wish I had the answer. Some people believe she is a manufactured character altogether being played by Allison Williams. Apparently makeup, contacts, and a bit of cgi makes it all possible. Seems far-fetched but they say reality is stranger than fiction.

I don’t care who claims that this has been debunked because this is how the system is worked:

            youtube.com/watch?v=1h5iv6sECGU

Far too many people cannot see the truth when it is right in front of their faces, and that is a damned shame, but for those who can, well, there it is.

          • SoftStarLight June 26, 2019 at 1:05 am #

Amazing how there always seems to be someone behind the curtains pulling the strings. And so it’s all theatrics to some degree or another. It seems like these special interest groups have done an amazing job at stacking Congress because everybody knows Congress don’t represent us. Whether they call themselves Progressives or Conservatives doesn’t really matter. The Truth is not in them.

          • toktomi June 26, 2019 at 2:32 am #

            I’ve not seen that before.
I love! it. It’s like, of course, a very shrewd variation on The Theme. She is no more disingenuous and controlled than any of her ilk. These folks are just new wave, completely cynical, and brutally efficient. It sounds perfect to me for a bullshit, rigged, and evil system. You go, girl!

And I have not seen a politician as utterly imbicilic since George W. or Maxine Waters.

    • venuspluto67 June 24, 2019 at 10:40 am #

One thing that I think that really muddies the waters in that whole discussion is that when many people hear “concentration camp” with all its Holocaust-laden connotations, they think “extermination camp” along the lines of Auschwitz or Treblinka. You could conceivably call any mass-detention facility a “concentration camp”, but I don’t think it serves the conversation at all well to conjure up images of the Third Reich’s extermination-factories in central and eastern Europe.

      • JohnAZ June 24, 2019 at 10:57 am #

The point is though, it would be nice if she would stop mouthing off things she hears and does her own investigation before she shoots off her mouth. The Media are just waiting with baited breath. That can be good or bad.

      • Janos Skorenzy June 24, 2019 at 1:16 pm #

Depends on whose agenda is in play. Obviously it does serve those who want the gravy train to keep on flowing. But no, it doesn’t serve Civil Society either here or in Europe.

      • Nightowl June 25, 2019 at 6:10 am #

That is the entire point. She is being coached to use this language. Her defense line that concentration camps don’t equal extermination camps was also pre-construed, and the idea that concentration camps are the same as the MEX border camps is absurd. There is no mass starvation or death occuring, no forced labor, no sub-human living conditions.

People are dumb though; many are even dumber than AOC.

    • DEFCON1 June 24, 2019 at 11:26 am #

“Maybe she should visit the border before she makes claims about something she has never seen.”

Now who does that remind us of?

She is great – really scares the mouth-breathers. She wants your money, John. All of it. To give to poor families. So they can do nothing all day but live of your $$

      Sounds like heaven to me.

    • gonetohell June 24, 2019 at 6:59 pm #

They are concentration camps by the very definition of the term. She did not specify Nazi concentration camps, a distinction feeble minds are apparently unable to grasp.

      • benr June 25, 2019 at 1:50 pm #

The feeble mind is yours for leaving off the rest of the comment as in “never again” a direct reference to NAZI style Concentration camps.
        The direct quote!

“I want to talk to the people that are concerned enough with humanity to say that ‘never again’ means something,” Ocasio-Cortez continued in her live video. “The fact that concentration camps are now an institutionalized practice in the ‘Home of the Free’ is extraordinarily disturbing and we need to do something about it.”
So what was that about feeble minds the gonetohell?

Language and context matters when on the world stage on a forum such as this meh but in the big leagues it matters.
She is wrong on this comment and well pretty much everything else that slithers out of her greasy gob.

        • Majella June 25, 2019 at 6:02 pm #

benr, watch the video linked below and then come back & tell me you ‘approve’ of these institutions.

        • gonetohell June 25, 2019 at 8:02 pm #

Your last sentence as pertains to Ms. AOC quite adequately identifies yourself as the slithering sort.

The very fact that AOC has specified concentration camps that have existed in the US would indicate she’s not referencing Nazi camps. She is likely referencing the internment camps for American citizens that happened to be of Japanese descent during WWII.

Yes my feeble minded friend, those were concentration camps by the very definition.

          • benr June 26, 2019 at 2:27 am #

            Talk about WEASEL wording.
You just engaged in it and expect to get a pass!
Hell no she said it “NEVER AGAIN” we all know what she was referencing!
So what is it are you a liar, ignorant or just an idiot?
She is a dyed in the wool rabble rousing POS trying to score political points by selling out her country much like half the Democrat scum in power now always do.
How about instead she visit some of the sites and help get funding or better yet push for comprehensive immigration reforms to stop this madness now! No instead she shoots off her mouth showing what a fool she is…again.

The Democrats promised Ronald in 1986 if he signed an amNASTY bill they would fix the busted immigration system!
Instead they kicked the can down the road and the spineless Republicans and worsewe the people have allowed this travesty to continue for thirty fricking years.

    • Majella June 25, 2019 at 6:00 pm #

Maybe her ‘concentration camp’ remark was not as far off the mark as everyone has been quick to remark. Remember, she didn’t refer to the death camps so technically she was correct, though it was naive to think she wouldn’t get the reaction she did.

Here’s Shep Smith, hardly a ‘rabid left-wing extremist prone to violence’ on the topic:

No, benr. I trust you’ve caught up with today’s reports from the Border. It’s a truly shitty clusterfuck-mess and the administration should be ashamed – oh, wait…it is. It just APPROVED a further $4.5 BILLION of YOUR hard earned federal tax dollars to papering over the cracks. What a fecking joke. How can YOU be so blind to reality?

          • Majella June 26, 2019 at 4:32 am #

Benr – your ‘post above’ was unsurprising in its predictability – your standard impotent rage against objective reality, triggered into spewing shite without any sense aside from your ingrained predispositions – prejudices in fact.

            AOC is everything you loathe:
1 socialist (and Democrat, though that doesn’t matter as much as the first)
2 in a position of public prominence
            3 articulate

Socialism is a disease like an STD which I suspect most people who believe in it must have tertiary syphilis. How else could someone be so brain damaged as to believe a country of 430 million legal and upwards of 20-50 million illegal aliens could provide so many goodies and not go bankrupt?

You’re right how ever I loath her politics and well yours.
In fact I abhor most Democrats politics, the virtue signaling and all the assorted bullshit they put forward.
Its the ideas or should I say lack of coherent ones I abhor.

As far as articulate that is a laugh.
She has overtones of Kardashian up speak mixed with girl from around the way. Not a good sound rather grating on the ears. I guess compared to other like um you know like millennial valley girls wanna be’s she might be like um well you know like smart. For sure.

NO it’s people like you all mouth and no action. I have been voting for people who talk about fixing the immigration system and so far well even the side I support has failed spineless bastards.

I blame people like you directly for giving DEMOCRATS COVER to keep on allowing unchecked illegal immigration and the endless free goodies that attract them!

Right out of that old play book Cloward and Piven STYLE YEA BOYEE! My my Saul Alinsky would be so proud Marxist clap trap.
Just another exercise in PROBLEM, REACTION, and SOLUTION except the only solution is ever more government, more money and of course more Donkeys in power. Yet everywhere these idiots go misery follows higher crime, busted up streets, and everything falling apart. So tell me who are the real idiots? Yea the people who always tell us how smart they think they are when talking to we the working class little people. You know the ones that actually fix stuff for a living.

Sounds like the perfect recipe for another four years of Trump’s shenanigans. Perhaps if he’d just jettison Pompeo and Bolton we’d even survive that, although the devil knows all too well that there’s a deep cesspool of replacements from whence those two crawled out of. Perhaps the better question still is whether the R’s will continue to be content to go along for the ride in the Trump clown car, or will one of them – just one! – somehow summon up the gravitas to challenge him and try to do something truly audacious, like say, actually govern the place in a semi-adult manner? Indeed, is such a thing even possible any more in country that’s wandered so far off the beaten track that it might well be impossible to ever find our way back now? Either way, the old song lyric still applies: Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am, stuck in the middle with… Remains to be seen I guess, that last part.

    • venuspluto67 June 24, 2019 at 10:47 am #

Another thing that makes a long-term string of defeats for the Democratic Party a strong possibility, is the fact that the Clinton-supporter/ Sanders-supporter rift of 2016 all but caused the party to split into two separate parties that virulently loathe one another. One Christian teaching that manages to be universally true is that a house divided against itself cannot stand.

      • jdhines June 24, 2019 at 11:44 am #

With GGG’s low poll numbers, his flip flopping on “bomb Iran, no wait, cancel that bombing run,” his “deport millions, no wait, let’s do that later,” his “I’m building a great wall, OK and Mexico, I guarantee, is going to pay for it.” His, “Kim Jong Un and I are in love, OK, no really, we are in love, OK?” I don’t see how he can possibly win.

He hasn’t delivered on stopping illegal immigration, quite the contrary, with record crossings. His tax “reform” for the wealthy was a big flop with the base and everyone else save the rich. There are no new factories, the tariffs are hurting his base and the Repubs have gone out of their way to antagonize women with there pro-life antics. Women continue to come out of the woodwork talking about his various sexual advances. Throw in that the farms are being decimated and his re-election simply does not seem to be in the cards.

I know “it’s the economy stupid,” but most people have figured out that the stock market is a rich person’s scam and low unemployment equates to UNDER employment unless you are a 10%’er. The economy (stupid) didn’t save the Repubs in the midterms and I don’t believe it will save them and Trump in 2020. Too many people, save the delusional rube base, are tired of the obvious BS, including MAGA and Keep America Great. Ha!

No doubt, he will carry the reddest of the red states and other Rube enclaves, but it simply is not enough to win the electoral college. Of course, he will lose the popular vote by many millions, even Her Royal Highness Hillary kicked the shit out of him there! Can Russia et al pull another rabbit out of the hat via social media? Very doubtful, everybody knows that trick now.

It doesn’t matter who the hapless, corrupt Dems run, anyone shy of Hillary could beat him. He’s no longer an “outsider,” his schtick is getting very stale, a tiresome repeat of 2016. He’s toast, but I may be wrong.

        • Ol' Scratch June 24, 2019 at 12:35 pm #

Yep, he’s in his late waffling phase now. Never a good look for a pol whose go-to negotiation method is the ultimatum. People know they can call his bluff now, which makes him all the more unpredictable and potentially dangerous. Meanwhile, the feckless Dems are still pulling up the rear just a whisker behind, with no coherent plan for anything at all, other than general hysteria.

        • abbybwood June 24, 2019 at 3:30 pm #

As we all clearly learned on election night 2016, the ONLY “poll” that counts is when the citizens actually vote!!

I still watch The Young Turks election night coverage as they are popping champagne at the beginning because all the polls say Hillary is a sure thing then things slowly go south and their heads all explode.

Cenk and Co. should have known the Hillary jig was up when the fireworks were cancelled. Ha!!!!!

Everyone is heading to their fringe corners, because this whole farce is just another WWE/WWF vote joke to keep the population placated. Meanwhile, the corporations run the show for their officers and wealthy stock holders, and the US is headed off to another war. It’s a joke, for sure.

And exactly half the states are right to work states, with Tenn workers so dumb they voted down certification at a VW plant, what 3 times?, when VW would actually prefer a union plant for management ease. Let’s take that $2 lower per hour wage “’cause we don’t need no stinkin union tellin’ us what wages and benefits we might git”. And the glorious USMCA or CUSMA ensures Mexican auto workers still make 1/3 of what north American auto workers earn. The corporations have stolen the store and their unrelenting propaganda has convinced people it’s for their own good.

Funny, there’s never enough money for affordable health care, pensions, and decent education, but the military has unending support and growing funds. In the next while we’ll see unrest handled with automatic weapons and modern version Pinkertons with batons and Glocks. The Gubmit will still try and overthrow other countries chosen Govt structures and say it’s for their own good. The Christian fringe will decry Muslims and white shooting massacres will continue with side orders of addictions and suicide. hey, 53% of the US public believes in Creationism or Intelligent Design. 41% of US citizens believe that people co-existed with dinosaurs. can’t fix stupid.

Most Republicans are spineless. Certainly there are none that I am aware of that want to even come near to embracing Trump’s base. After all, there won’t be any rewards for attempting to represent White America. As it is, Trump is too scared to even mention that we exist. So the only parties with representation are indeed the Elite (who will support any war you give them) and all of the minorities. In other words, nothing changes and the decline accelerates.

      • Majella June 24, 2019 at 7:32 pm #

        SSL

I think it’s pretty obvious that Trump is not a Republican – not even a RINO. He’s always been a liberal-minded sort of person – check videos of interviews in the 80s & 90s when he was coherent and expressed himself in actual sentences.

Now, he’s just a rabid power-grasping fool – his narcissism is full-blown and has taken over his few remaining grey cells.

He’s insecure because, I postulate, he now realizes that his ‘life’ didn’t turn out as he had expected. He CLAIMS all the victories & successes in business ventures, which we all know is total fantasy. Somewhere deep inside, he knows it too.

In any event, it turns out he’s just NOT the White Supremacist you voted for – sorry. Fortunately, there’s no one offering themselves with an agenda that would satisfy you & BFF Janos, and I/m confident in predicting that there never will be.

Seriously? You thought we voted for him because we believed he was a White Supremacist? LOL, that’s really funny but yeah I’m pretty sure you are high. Never has DJT remotely appeared racist. That is a PC deception but a very popular one no less that is chirped everyday.

You shouldn’t be confident of anything. Things can change. And quickly. It would appear we are not fully represented by any candidate now and no doubt that brings you joy. But don’t assume things will always be this way.

          My ‘cognitive dissonance’?

You just pull things right out of your arse:

“She is being coached to use this language. Her defense line that concentration camps don’t equal extermination camps was also pre-construed, and the idea that concentration camps are the same as the MEX border camps is absurd. There is no mass starvation or death occuring, no forced labor, no sub-human living conditions.”

You start with a conspiracy theory (“She is being coached…” by whom? George Soros?), then go on to make the very point so many others have in her defense. Does ‘pre-construed’ even have an actual meaning? I can’t find it anywhere, please enlighten me.

Except for the ‘no forced labor’, the rest describes these federally-authorized hell-holes pretty darned well.

          • Nightowl June 26, 2019 at 4:21 am #

            Yes, your cognitive dissonance.

RE: point two, it is my opinion that she is mouthing talking points provided to her.

In school, many Americans are not taught that there is a difference between a death camp and concentration camp, particularly when the context is WWII. But the funny part is, as mentioned, there is little difference with regard to the NSDAP camps. Mass starvation and death were commonplace in work camps. The entire point was to work them until collapse.

Given how often the clown corporate media and select politicians have compared Trump to Hitler, this would appear to be just another manifestation of the same mental illness (kidding, ofc, it is a strategy) we have observed for the past 2-3 years.

I await your report on Obama’s “federally authorized hell holes.” When do you make your personal trip to see if reality matches your claim? Maybe they really are just like Nazi concentration camps! Get to it!

          • Majella June 26, 2019 at 4:43 am #

            Nightowl

So YOUR cognitive dissonance remains unrecognised. Surprise.

I can’t speak for the US education system (I wasn’t subjected to it) but your point is lost in any case. Anything greater than high school plus reading/life experience would surely get even a public-school-drone to an understanding of the obvious nuances involved.

Reports today – such as the conversation between a Federal judge and some over-worked, under-paid, under-staffed and completely-thrown-under-the-bus functionary who could NOT answer a simple question was the mean raw face of your nasty ‘gulag’-operation on the border.

Is there not an ounce of milk of human kindness in you? These are fecking children – not responsible for their plight and forcibly separated from their parent(s). Who’s responsible for the outcome? The US Government and the likes if you who are willing to accept it because it fits your perverted narrative.

            Bah!

          • Nightowl June 26, 2019 at 5:55 am #

CD does not apply to me in this matter. I am not the one ranting about detention centers being “concentration camps” while putting forth no evidence whatsoever that the two are similar.

You also have a habit of dodging every point you are exposed on. What is my perverted narrative? That rule of law should be enforced? I am an immigrant myself. I left the US for Germany. Had I not followed the rules, I would have been sent packing.

Each Dem candidate is going to add on more giveaways. They do not have anything else to offers. It is already started.

Brought to you by the party that lives in debt.

      Just like the other party.

Hmmm, the problem might not be the parties. Maybe these promise alls are part of the Deep State and voting Dem vs, GOP may not make any difference.

Trump vs. Deep State in 2020. And I would listen to arguments that that confrontation may not make any difference.

If so, the path is downward either way.

      • Luhrenloup June 24, 2019 at 11:36 am #

Of course, you’re right. What gets me is how anybody can think that going to war with Iran is the solution.
The Dems screwed themselves when they abandoned the working class for Wall street and there’s no coming back from that error; they are ineradicably tied to that money. They have nothing to offer; their only game is pitting groups against one another. Their desperation is such that they are promoting a man with seriously questionable interactions with girls and women.
Politics has descended to such a level that it is totally meaningless. Even the people being pandered to by the Dems see it for what it is.

Seems like the only giveaways acceptable to the idiot class are tax breaks to corporations and one-tenth of one percent of the U.S. population. The Wall Street giveaway to bail-out an economic collapse-caused by Wall Street-makes sense to the idiot contingent as well.

The lies that got us into Iraq, and its subsequent trillions in costs and giveaways to the defense industry, is also perfectly acceptable. It’s just when giveaways go to helping our struggling middle class that offense is taken. Heaven forbid a poor kid goes to public college for free. Or that fewer die or go bankrupt because of medicare-for-all.

This country is going to fail. The uneducated and ill-informed will continue tuning in to FOX as substitute for a thought process.

What do you think of Trannies reading to kids in libraries? The Elite are deadly serious about this. In Spokane, a couple of hundred mothers showed up to protest one such reading – the Police had snipers out to insure that the reading went on. America must be queered one way or another.

      • BackRowHeckler June 24, 2019 at 8:04 pm #

Trouble is there just ain’t enough queers to go around. At just a few % of the population they’re spead pretty thin. Trannies reading to inpressional little kids here, homosexual gangs trafficing young migrants across the border there, it takes people to get this important work done.

        @SSL

        Ya, probably waaayyyyy “outside”

Kathy McMahon, a very long time ago, described and coined a term for the attitude of those who have recognized the symptoms of this collapsing industrial human society but who refuse to accept it. She described these people as suffering from Panglossian Disorder.

In the study of population dynamics it’s called a die-off. It’s really quite thoroughly described and is relatively easy to predict with some degree of probability.

        “Say goodnight, Gracie.”

          • toktomi June 26, 2019 at 2:49 am #

            @SSL

“disorder talking”? I don’t think so.

What I’ve seen over the last 18+ years of doomerism seems to suggest that there is a genetic predisposition of the human population that prevents somewhere in the area of 90% of all people from visualizing their near-imminent demise even when it is obvious.

Looking at the trajectories of all the global systems, natural and abstract, the numbers add up to about a 7 billion soul die-off. There is no model that gets us out of this intact. So, what is the subject of conversation? Economic recovery. Cuz the lie stalls the panic.

I cannot imagine the Jackass Party pulling anything like a real movement together for next Fall, though they are perfectly capable of doing their best Oliver & Hardy imitation. My most rabid liberal friends are foaming at the mouth for Joe Biden to get the call as “only Joe can defeat the evil hairy monster Trump”, so they say. Most of these demented fools should switch their drink of choice from Cool Aid to Hemlock and put themselves out of their misery after four years of “Trump must go, Trump must go mania” drove out the last vestiges of real thought from their tiny minds.

Walter, we spent a whole summer (1989) working in a bakery in Villas, Cape May.

We lived for part of that time in Sea Isle City before moving south to Cold Harbour, and we would drive to work through the sunrise, headed south on the coastal highway. Very beautiful, great surf and lovely locals. Never got to North Jersey, though…

So, based on my experience (younger and not politically engaged), Noo Joizy IS a Garden State. As you can imagine, Boardwalk Empire was a ‘must see’ show, even though we only went to AC once, for a day – the Trump Taj Mahal was still under construction if I recall.

          • Walter B June 24, 2019 at 11:47 pm #

The state has many, many parts that are indeed a garden and a beautiful national treasure, but the political “leadership” is corruption incarnate:

            youtube.com/watch?v=y6iIeVgI00M

The north and central western part of the state is more like Pennsylvania than NJ, and the Pine Barrens are pretty cool too, unless you do not prefer sand over soil. Just as how in New York state the rolling gorgeous farmlands go on for mile after beautiful mile and the cities are dumps, so too is New Jersey. Perhaps that can be stated about many places, no?

          • Majella June 26, 2019 at 4:47 am #

Yeah, Walter. Loved that summer. Cape May township us a delicious slice of old-time America…or at least it was 30 years ago. We started work at the bakery on July 2nd 1989 – 30 years ago next Tuesday. Wow…aging sucks.

I just can’t get past the fixation on Joe Biden as the antidote to Trump but hey whatever. That last sentence is very good Walter. Government actually starts within the heart of the individual, then extends to the home and then out from there. Anything goes and nothing matters all the way down to the individual now. So yes, governing and government itself are impossible tasks because the individual is now ungovernable.

    • Majella June 24, 2019 at 8:22 pm #

Looks like you’re not going to get your wish Walter:

I like her, too. But she has no chance. Her personality is not strong enough, and though she is attractive, she doesn’t project authority.

She will get devoured in our TV-based process. Superficial aspects account for the majority of votes. Dems will likely choose Warren. She is tall, blonde, projects confindence, and can speak well enough to avoid gaffes 80% of the time.

Problem is, vs. Trumpi, Liewatha has already lost.

          • Walter B June 26, 2019 at 12:23 pm #

I do believe that many Americans want to be able to say that they are on “the winning” side and make choices based upon the probability of a candidate or a sports team to be able to “win”. I have a long history of choosing who I thought was the most competent individual and so I am usually not on the winning side. I do however, sleep like the dead because my conscience is clear and I will continue to do so.

The Democrat wannabe leadership candidates are all just making a show of their less than honest runs at the presidency. All are well aware of the incumbent status of the last term majority win for the Republicans. No amount of political grandstanding or histrionics emanating out of the Democrat camp will suffice to undermine the Republican incumbency unless they can dig up dirt, or urine, on The Duck.

The Duck knows that corporate America & Wall Street all fully support his P.T. Barnum II negotiation style & tactics. The Duck is a full fledged coward like bully that has an entranced following of Jonestown Kool-Aid drinkers that will follow him over the cliff like Lemmings all hell bent for Kentucky.

Upsetting the mass delusions of a captured American public by entertaining the mass delusions of Democrats and their posturing wannabe Zombified aged old decrepit frontrunners is the only way to proceed into 2020 knowing that the elections are always rigged for incumbency unless the resident dictator fucks up & commits a dastardly criminal act.

The Duck’s personality is rolling probable cause for impeachment but the spineless deep state ain’t actually that deep after all.

So personality now falls into the range of things that can get one impeached from the presidency? Is this finally the full union of Hollywood and DC?

      • Robert White June 24, 2019 at 1:04 pm #

Psychopathy with respect to personality, and relational disposition towards others, is what genocided the poor sots in Jonestown. If The Duck & The Wonderful World of Disney combine forces to disseminate Jonestown Kool-Aid en masse I’m pretty sure the CIA would go along with it as long as they get appropriate recompence before hand. Heck, pre-crime profiling is empirically based today and more accurate than not given BIG data mining & advances in Experimental Psychology with regard to Criminal Psychology and propensity based upon known past behaviour.

The probability that the system is rigged is p = 1.

The probability that I am wrong about personality & psychopathy is p = 0.

I am far greater than most legends but I’m not one to brag about my life as my King James Bible instructs one to be humble and not prone to braggadocio. Moreover, there is pride before the fall so I’ll pass on the pride thingy too.

Suffice to say that whilst I have a healthy perspective on myself & behaviour it is due to experience. When I was younger I knew that I was going to become an excellent drummer but my older brother thought otherwise when he heard me playing drums one day and decided to hurl the upright Hoover vacuum cleaner down a flight of stairs straight into my face & drum kit as a positive refinforcer for me to play better. When I saw that Hoover upright vacuum cleaner hurling towards my drum kit & face/upper body I realized in a split second before it hit that my brother was wrong and I was most assuredly well on my way to making him eat his words of discouragement eventually.

Within about two years from that day my brother was choking on crow, and I never looked back again on anything anyone ever said or did with respect to discouraging me at anything I put my hand to.

My mother was really my only fan all along so she gets credit where due.

So this is how Roosevelt’s America was dying!

In fact, this is a very common story. One of the “Washington Square Wise Men”, the one who introduced me to Stanley Kubrick, served a couple of years in prison because, like the bartender in this movie in 1946, he knocked his boss out, who told him that America was not on the right side of the front line during WWII, that it was necessary together with the Germans (Nazis) to fight against the Russians (Soviets).

By the way, he knew Trump’s father well, who became a millionaire by starting to build low-cost housing on East-End and in Brooklyn for soldiers returning from the war.

So Roosevelt America did not surrender without a fight, despite the fact that in Truman America similar statements were officially made by the US ambassadors to the USSR, Harriman and Bullitt, and Bullitt, who became the prototype of Voland in Bulgakov’s “Master and Margarita”, spoke about this back in 1940 at the height of Dunkirk.

And even it is impossible to refer to his disgust from the horrors of Stalinism, since before the famous Ball in SpasoHouse, held in 1935, Bullitt admired Stalin in his reports to the State Department. (Back when he thought that Moscow would become a World Capital of anti-Christianity).

Best Years of Our Lives – “And For What?”

The Germans and the Japanese had nothing against us. They wanted to fight the Jews and the Reds, and they would have destroyed them if a bunch of Washington radicals would not deceive us.

    youtube.com/watch?v=D4EjRzzRQLI

Apparently this topic is very relevant, judging by the last week’s discussion in this blog.

And judging by Sunday political programs and forums, Trump gave the command to drown the Clintonoids in the shithouse (ideologically), not looking at the possibility of appearing in the press that the United States was not always the Shining City on the Hill, that it was an ideal to which one should strive, not a political reality.

Biden’s biggest campaign slogan so far is that Nothing Would Fundamentally Change. That gives working people nothing to hope for when it comes to healthcare, wages or anything else. The working classes will continue to gravitate to Trump because something (MAGA) is better than nothing. It’s a real freak show, but Trump will win again. America will continue its rapid decline unfettered by Democratic platitudes. Mayor Pete is simply repulsive. Anybody who puts “Gay” first on their CV is dubious to begin with. I’m not morally opposed to a little discreet buggery in the privacy of one’s own home, between consenting adults, but sexual matters are private, and to make it the platform you are running on is a serious and frankly scandalous miscalculation. Nothing he says can even be taken seriously after that. People have asked me to listen to what his has to say, but I simply can’t. Women would be fools to vote for him. My mother, a staunch and lifelong Democrat won’t consider him. I can’t get past the vision of the inaugural ball.

There are men dressed in black leather shorts with suspenders, SS officer’s hats on their heads, spiked collars on their necks, and Nazi regalia tattooed on their persons, men dressed as Queen Elizabeth I complete with ruff, men in pink spandex, men dressed like Lucille Ball or Cher, men in feathers and makeup. It makes me giggle, and being found ridiculous is death to political ambition.

When I think of the great queers that preceded him, Gore Vidal, Oscar Wilde, James Baldwin who were possessed of dignity and wit, and didn’t see their sexual preference as in need of a movement, Mayor Pete simpering sycophancy gives a bad name to buggery.

      • Robert White June 24, 2019 at 2:24 pm #

I seem to recall one William F. Buckley threatening Mr. Vidal publically with violence and a physical beating for being the person he was during public debate recorded live on network television back in the 70s.

William F. Buckley was a typical American homophobe that reacted violently towards the prominent queers de jour like Mr. Vidal by physically threatening him with a punch to the face for his greatness.

Not all simpering queers can be as demonstrably individualistic as Mr. Gore evidently was judging by historical record. Could it be that Mr. Gore was generously equipped to deal with human adversity all on his own two feet without feeling the need for any mass movement to be following him in lock-step?

Contemporary queers n’ dykes more fully grasp collectivism today given mass demonstration, contemporary activism, and propaganda/misinformation et cetera. The ‘Gay Pride Parade’ was not an animal of Mr. Gores time really. And whilst he aged out of the limelight gay collectivist attitudes came to the fore but he was not part of that as he stood as an individual pundit of American life and not as a collectivist in need of supporting dogmatism or propagandized rhetoric.

Mr. Gore also had more grey matter than most given his upbringing & existential experiences apart from the run-of-the-mill types that were never writers in their own right.

Gore Vidal was a lot like Hunter S. Thompson for being individualistic and strong on his own two feet whilst the likes of Buckley were trembling right-wingers pretty much in fear of their own shadows/unconsciousness as opposed to conscience which I, for one don’t think they possessed with respect to their actions & homophobic demonstrations of violence towards ‘queers’ like Gore Vidal.

Mr Vidal was a fine man, a lover of the Old South, and a quasi Fascist if not an actual National Socialist in fag drag.

Remember how he told off the Pod People?

          • SoftStarLight June 25, 2019 at 10:05 am #

Ah, gotchya. So some Gays are good Gays but if they are good Gays then they don’t highlight their Gayness and instead fight for their race. Did I sort of get it?

          • Janos Skorenzy June 25, 2019 at 12:31 pm #

Yes, why does “gay” have to be someone’s main or only identity? Vidal was a Man even though out and unashamed in the quieter way that was possible then.

      • Luhrenloup June 25, 2019 at 12:09 pm #

Thought of 2 more queers who wouldn’t be caught dead in a gay pride parade, and they’re still alive. You have mad dog Paglia. Sounding like a amphetamine chihuahua, Camille tells it like it is. No pussy hat for her, thank you. And then, Fran Lebowitz, who on commenting about the lesbian gay movement found it beyond comprehension and truly bizarre that their goals were pitched at being accepted in the military and have the state sanctioned right to marry. Goals that she believed were the opposite of queer reason.

    • SoftStarLight June 24, 2019 at 12:50 pm #

I disagree in that I think he could actually receive a lot of support. Particularly among younger people who have been trained from a very early age to not only accept homosexuality but consider it as a viable life alternative. Remember, all forms of media continually and constantly transmit the idea that these lifestyles are acceptable and also glamorous. Same thing they did with race in the last century and look how completely acceptable and common race mixing is now. So don’t just write him off because older people may not be comfortable. Remember, being old and intolerant is one thing the PC crowd rants and raves about on a daily basis. Even Oprah said all the old people need to die out.

      • Janos Skorenzy June 24, 2019 at 1:38 pm #

Good point. In some circles, “cis” is a death knell and cissies are at the bottom of the barrel, especially if combined with White skin and male genitalia. And unless really cool or self hating, cis White Women are in danger of being termed as “Beckies”.

        • SoftStarLight June 25, 2019 at 9:59 am #

And they say it with such derision but it is actually very cool to be a Becky. It’s rebellious and non-conformist after all. They are just creating exactly what they wish to destroy through their persecution.

          • Janos Skorenzy June 25, 2019 at 12:34 pm #

Exactly so. I love Beckies. Turn it around like Blacks did with the word “nigger” or we did with “deplorables”.

I’ll see if I can find it: One poor White women was wondering if she should call the cops on Blacks if she saw a crime being committed. She didn’t want to be seen as or be a “Becky”. She was told No, she should never call the cops on Blacks….

          • SoftStarLight June 26, 2019 at 1:36 am #

This may not be what you were talking about exactly but it’s basically about the same thing. Whats most offensive to me is that no context is provided for the women who are calling the police besides a few examples meant to highlight racism and bias. Shouldn’t overall statistics matter? I don’t know anyone who is just dying to call the law on random Blacks after all. And then the snooty moral lecture about how she is so awesome because her children are Black and she thus rises above the inherent racism of other White women. It’s all very demeaning and I also think its meant to demoralize. And notice who is giving the lecture.

All in good time. Meanwhile, one of my kids is at the end of generation X and the other at the leading edge of the millennials, and I’m pretty sure neither of them would vote for Mayor Pete either. You and Oprah have a while to wait. From what I can tell, lifespans are continually being extended. The old guard still has control of the party and I’m not seeing much willingness to step aside for the likes of AOC. I’m surprised Nancy Pelosi hasn’t bitch-slapped her yet. What Oprah may say in public might be substantially different from the opinion she actually holds. You can’t trust celebrities

        • SoftStarLight June 25, 2019 at 10:03 am #

Oh absolutely! Actually many millennials are conservative but you won’t hear much about it. I am sure you understand why. I am not in agreement with Oprah by the way which you may think based on your response. I was just stating that her belief is a belief held by many SJWs. I definitely don’t trust celebrities but I am sure Oprah wants to get rid of Whites like most of Hollywood. It’s just in their makeup to be anti-White. They are part of the propaganda machine pushing the anti-White narrative so its as if it has become part of their DNA.

        SSL

“Particularly among younger people who have been trained from a very early age to not only accept homosexuality but consider it as a viable life alternative. “

You will possibly recall me saying that my nephew who is gay wasn’t known by his parents or siblings to be gay until his sister finally sent him a text to ask him (very similar story with my husband’s niece, except that she came out and introduced her family to her girlfriend shortly after she left school). They had all politely ‘wondered’ and ‘surmised’ from time to time, but he didn’t talk about it and nobody had asked. He was a bright boy, with lots of friends and no ‘issues’, who got straight As in all his subjects at school and a prize from the school for being the best German pupil they’d ever had.

Nobody trained my nephew. He just is what he is (which, aside from anything else, is a charming and clever young man who loves his family).

But here’s the thing, SSL. You have young boys. My nephew wasn’t definitely known to be gay (his text back to his sister said ‘I assumed everybody knew’) until he was 21. He’d known since a young age, obviously.

Now your boys are young. And please don’t do that thing where you turn into a banshee screaming ‘disgusting!’ at me – I’m putting a totally imaginary hypothesis to you, nothing more. I’m sure your kids will be über-manly, but just if…if one of them turned out to be gay, would you force him to undergo ‘conversion therapy’? Would you tell him his ‘lifestyle’ was not ‘acceptable’ even though it was utterly normal for him?

Have a look at this article:

        upi.com/Health_News/2018/11/15/Gay-conversion-therapy-often-starts-at-home-with-devastating-conseque…

“We found that when efforts to change a young person’s identity occurred in adolescence, it had an impact that followed them into young adulthood,” …. “Two things that were surprising to see was that negative impact included limiting their income as a young adult and restricting their educational attainment.”

“Suicide attempts among those surveyed nearly tripled for those who reported both home-based efforts to change their sexual orientation by parents and intervention efforts by therapists and religious leaders. Levels of depression also more than tripled among this group.”

Now, as you know – or should do by now because I’ve said it often enough – I don’t remotely support any attempts or ‘agenda’ to push young people towards a gay or other ‘lifestyle’ if that’s not the way they’re inclined naturally.

So, in turn, are you for or against attempts by parents and others to try to change their child’s natural sexuality and thereby do them harm?

And if you think the enthusiastically anti-gay can’t have gay children or other relatives, you could take a look at this:

        ranker.com/list/top-anti-gay-politicians-with-lgbt-relatives/keaton

Newt Gingrich, for goodness’ sake!! But at least he can take some credit for his response, unlike a number of the others.

Please don’t give me any whataboutery concerning the ‘LGBT agenda – that’s not what I’m talking about, which is simply people whose natural sexuality isn’t the same as yours or mine and who have existed in all populations since centuries before there was an LGBT agenda.

You left out Elizabeth Warren’s pitch to forgive college debt.

The problem is that Sen. Warren has just one too many plans; or maybe 2 or 3 too many. We can’t do everything and unless the composition of the Senate changes we likely won’t do anything much except moderate some extreme positions regardless of which Democrat is elected. To me, the best ticket would be Biden-Harris. They would trounce Trump-Pence or Trump-Haley. (I have no doubt that Trump would dump Pence for Haley if he thought it would help his chances. Pence should have no illusions about that.)

From appearances, it seems to me that Biden is an insider version of Trump with more spit and shine. He is also more predictable than Trump. But give him a drink or two and he is equally gaffe prone and unapologetic. The things that need to happen won’t happen on his watch.

    1) repeal of Citizens United;
    2) more regulation of markets and banks;
    3) repeal of the Trump tax cuts;
    4) MFA or at least improvements in the ACA;
    5) a new policy towards Central America and immigration reform.

He might get Garland Merrick appointed to the Supreme Court.
    .
The country is not buying what the rest of the Democratic field is selling. The right wing lug nuts are firmly entrenched in the upper chamber and on the Supreme Court. That will probably give them the edge for the foreseeable future. If there is a future.

    • SoftStarLight June 24, 2019 at 12:53 pm #

Let me guess. The new policy for Central America and immigration reform is code for making sure the border stays open?

    • Janos Skorenzy June 24, 2019 at 1:45 pm #

The nuts have been right about everything, from floridation to the dangers of the UN. Trump’s stacking of the Supreme Court is one of the few good things he’s done. And those conservatives aren’t very conservative in any case. We’re going to go over the cliff at 40 mph instead of 120 under the rule of a Warren, Clinton, or Pelosi. The Red Queens!

Another Dem initiative presented this week — by Warren & Sanders — is forgiveness of the $1.6 trillion of student loan debt out there. What a reason for youbg people to vote for one of these two, but the other candidates have similar plans.

For me several quesions are posed.

    1) For people who paid back their student loans, will there be a refund?

    2) Students who worked their way thru college — and some still exist — can they get some kind of credit from the feds?

    3) Student loans going forward, will they be forgiven as they are being made, maybe presented as a grant, or a gift from the Dem Party,

Nothing like free money — $1.6 trillion in this case — to scare up votes. Its fool proof.

But extremely high academic standards must be enforced, in other words students must study their ass off to be eligible, and their natural God-given talents must fit the area of study.

“Tate, I love that you were a fly on the wall during all these er…historical intimacies which involved power relations of pure equality.”

I suppose you were another one of those flys, eh? That they were unequal power relations proves my point unless you consider all sex involving unequal power relations rape, LOL.

The problem is, everything gets filtered through your secular materialist hedonistic modern POV, my dear.

“Maybe you’re the type who blames a 14-year-old girl who gets involved with a 35-year-old teacher.”

Maybe you’re the type who blames a 35-year-old teacher who gets involved with a 14-year old boy.

You’re riding high on the outrage bubble, sweetie. Get out that virtue whip, Yee-haw!

Uh yeah, the Christians among those Churchians could. See above, first response. Your straw man ‘arguments’ — if such they can be called — miss the point, which was the point, wasn’t it?

How many Christians there were among the Churchians is a different question.

Unequal power relations were so unbearable to your way of thinking. But that’s the way the world has been, is, & will always be. “Slavery” in some form will always exist. Females are hypergamous, whether black, brown, yellow, white, or striped, always seeking unions with higher-status males. Massa never needed to use force on the wenches to have his way. Hi Cutie Pie

At it again. And you couldn’t just answer on the previous thread, obviously, where the comment was. You have to plaster your bigotry all over a new thread where it has no place.

“Maybe you’re the type who blames a 35-year-old teacher who gets involved with a 14-year old boy.”

Yes, obviously. Aren’t you? What is your point?

“That they were unequal power relations proves my point unless you consider all sex involving unequal power relations rape, LOL.”

Twisting words again, Cutie Pie. You have proved no point. You said they were mostly not. And yet, bizarrely, you weren’t there. I presume you think it was possible to say no to Massa. As if Massa even asked. I suppose you think children abused by their fathers or uncles are consenting because they don’t put up a fight.

“Massa never needed to use force on the wenches to have his way. You just can’t stand that.”

Of course he didn’t. He was Massa. Everyone knew what happened if you said no to Massa. What I can’t stand is people who make stuff up to suit their agenda. When they weren’t there.

Females are hypergamous, whether black, brown, yellow, white, or striped, always seeking unions with higher-status males. “

How very cute to call it a ‘union’.

As for your ‘always’, my daughter and I can’t be the only exceptions. That would be just too much of a coincidence.

      • GreenAlba June 24, 2019 at 12:04 pm #

And people who use ‘always’ and ‘never’ in their arguments are to be taken with extreme caution. Since they ‘rather often have an agenda which overrides the truth.

      • Tate June 24, 2019 at 12:22 pm #

        That didn’t take long.

“Yes, obviously. Aren’t you? What is your point?”

My point is that there is no blame. Love will find a way.

“What I can’t stand is people who make stuff up to suit their agenda. When they weren’t there.”

        Neither can I, sweetie.

“As for your ‘always’, my daughter and I can’t be the only exceptions. That would be just too much of a coincidence.”

Yes, the acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree. Your kind eventually peters out on the tree of life.

        • GreenAlba June 24, 2019 at 12:49 pm #

My kind? You are too hasty in your default to ad hominems, Tate, when you have no argument. And only those most pathetically short of an argument need to resort to calling complete strangers ‘sweetie’ as a putdown. You should think better of yourself, Tate.

My point is that there is no blame. Love will find a way.

I think you have just excused both serious professional misconduct, of a person in a position of responsibility, trust and authority in a school abusing that responsibility, trust and authority, as well as statutory rape.

I think that speaks for itself.

But if it does between a 35-year-old schoolteacher and a 14-year-old pupil, EF, it should end in a jail sentence.

But you indicted yourself. I was just pointing out the obvious. You & your daughter are aberrant in the genetic selection game.

That is, if what you say can be taken at face value. You eventually married a doctor, no? I don’t know about in Airstrip One, but here in the U.S. physicians are high-status ‘catches’.

Illicit love affairs are a part of history. You want to reduce everything to black-&-white. I don’t excuse egregious incidents where trust & authority are truly abused. But that’s just part of your usual smear tactics, making me out to be some kind of Simon Legree character.

& sweetie, we have a history as you well know, we aren’t “complete” strangers.

One 14 year old boy was “abused” by a young teacher in her 20’s for some months. He tired of her and then reported her. The Will to Power exercised by a young Sith Lord.

I could never treat a lover that way, but he is obviously destined for great things. In any case, boys and girls are very different and have different reactions and different life paths. A good key can open many locks but a good lock will resist many keys.

            Tate

There you go again with your ad hominems.

Not that it’s any of your business – or that you have much of a clue what non-partner GPs earn in the UK, but my husband works less than half time and will have a pension (he’s just turned 65) pretty much the same as mine, because most of his previous pension savings went down the drain with a business that didn’t work out, and his flat and everything in it.

Thankfully I have a paid-up home for us both, so who’s the ‘catch’ now? I have to say I’m in a very happy and secure position because of my lifetime’s work. I guess my daughters caught the hard-working, personal responsibility bug from me, but then they’re just not that unusual in other cultures than yours.

Like I said, none of your business, but you insist on personal arguments, I have the right to rebuttal.

I’m perfectly familiar with illicit love affairs. I specifically asked you about a teacher-pupil scenario because it is so completely clear in terms of the power relationship AND the responsibility. And your reply was shocking.

I wasn’t thinking of a female teacher, by the way, but a male teacher abusing his power in relation to a male pupil.

Janos’ imagination doesn’t seem to have stretched that far either, despite his endless witterings about gay men allegedly ‘turning’ young boys.

Whether you are a complete stranger or not, the point about your pathetic use of ‘sweetie’ still stands. You’ll have noticed that other people who engage with me don’t have to lower themselves in that way. Janos uses insults, of course, but he’s Janos.

          • GreenAlba June 24, 2019 at 2:37 pm #

“A good key can open many locks but a good lock will resist many keys.”

Yes, I’ve heard your arguments for whores before, thanks.

Remind me where it is in your Bible?

          • Tate June 24, 2019 at 2:59 pm #

You are very prickly, it seems. You can’t stand a little rough-&-tumble so I will refrain from calling you ‘sweetie’ so as to preserve your delicate feelings from hereon out.

You were thinking of a male teacher converting a male student to his perverted lifestyle? Now, that’s new to me. At first you said it was a 14 yr old schoolgirl. Now you’re trying to get me to approve of sexual inversion in addition to the power disparity? How perverted in its own way. You will never get approval from me of that no matter how dishonorably you try to smear this American with it. That’s one thing that here in America we never countenanced. That’s a British peccadillo.

          • GreenAlba June 24, 2019 at 4:01 pm #

“You can’t stand a little rough-&-tumble so I will refrain from calling you ‘sweetie’ so as to preserve your delicate feelings from hereon out.”

‘Sweetie’ isn’t rough and tumble. Your usual insults are rough and tumble. ‘Sweetie’ is intended to patronise and diminish one’s interlocutor, not engage in rough and tumble. It’s the fallback position of the inadequate male.

Re the rest, you seem to be having difficulty following the dialogue, Janos. I put to Tate the scenario of a 35-year-old teacher and a 14-year-old female pupil. The default assumption would be that the teacher would be male.

Tate responded by flipping the scenario to include a 14-year-old boy instead. There have indeed been instances of female teachers behaving in such a predatory manner, but sexual predation is still primarily a male behaviour, so I assumed we were still talking about a male teacher. It could have been either. In both cases it would be a serious case of professional misconduct and statutory rape, if intercourse took place.

Your anti-gay pearl clutching is neither here nor there. Perhaps therapy would help.

          • GreenAlba June 24, 2019 at 4:06 pm #

Apologies, Tate, I read that as a reply from Janos, so you’ll have to adapt it, which I’m sure you can manage.

“You were thinking of a male teacher converting a male student to his perverted lifestyle? ”

Correction: had it been a female teacher it wouldn’t technically be rape in the UK. I’m not familiar with US law on the matter. In the UK, rape requires a penis. Otherwise it’s sexual assault.

Oh really Alba? People’s development can’t be fucked with? Oh but it can. Girls could easily be turned away from men by early abuse. Bet you don’t have a problem admitting that, right? But the opposite is a big problem because it goes against Gays.

          • BornToKillPeace June 24, 2019 at 11:33 pm #

            GreenAlba,

The last teacher-pupil case heard of in this area was a 28 year old female art teacher and a 17 year old male student. They engaged in intercourse on a number of occasions at a wilderness preserve. She had a 1 year old and was recently married.

My younger sister happened to be best friends with this women when they were girls about the grades of 3rd-6th. Then they had a blow out as people do growing up and didn’t know one another by high school.

Thanks-No Thanks for “fun” dialogue between you and Tate, as it reminded me to look into what has since been reported about the case in the last 14 and 1/2 months.

Not a peep in the news from what I can tell. No jail time. The teacher did lose her job, as is. Seems a bit like a gender double standard….

            Janos

“Oh really Alba? People’s development can’t be fucked with? Oh but it can. Girls could easily be turned away from men by early abuse. Bet you don’t have a problem admitting that, right?”

Why would I have a problem ‘admitting’ that? It’s nothing to do with ‘admission’. If the evidence is there, it doesn’t need to be ‘admitted’. Many women and men abused as children have testified to difficulties with relationships and trust in later life. Why would you think that was difficult to imagine?

So your bet, as with so many of them, is tripe. Hope you didn’t wager too much.

“But the opposite is a big problem because it goes against Gays.”

On the other hand, I’ve yet to hear of someone being ‘turned gay’ in that manner. Most young boys who have been abused by e.g. teachers or priests are heterosexual and have remained so. Some, statistically, would have been gay to start with.

            BTKP

If someone posts a comment to me at the end of a thread, I respond to it on that thread, on the assumption that they may or may not look at it. Such dialogues can continue through several comments and they don’t need to inconvenience anyone else, since most people won’t look back at the old thread once they’ve moved on.

That would have been my preference in this case.

Re your case, I quite agree with you that there is a double standard and I don’t support it, as you will have seen above. In fact it is the fellas above who think it is genuinely different. EF wishes it had happened to him and Janos thinks it’s just different because men and women are different.

Whatever. I think people in a situation of trust and in loco parentis should keep their mitts off their charges. No ifs, no buts.

A very quick google search came up with this list of women who did go to jail for such offences. Given it’s a legal firm’s website it has its own agenda but it reckons the punishments are lighter too.

            lawfirms.com/female-teacher-sex-crime-offenders-and-scandals.html

And I have learned that in the US a woman can commit rape, which is a technical difference with the UK’s legal system.

          • GreenAlba June 25, 2019 at 10:25 am #

And the other thing, BTKP, is the age of the minor.

Had the 17-year-old boy and the 28-year-old woman had a relationship but not been at the same school, the situation would have been different and really nobody else’s business, at least in this country, where the age of consent is 16.

The issue is that she was his teacher and therefore guilty of serious professional misconduct.

    • SoftStarLight June 24, 2019 at 1:02 pm #

Yes, unequal power relations have always existed and always will. Simply a little nugget of truth but inconvenient for many anyway. So what is the big surprise about the fact that there is unequal power relations between the sexes? Rather than fighting it all the time it seems a lot easier to just accept it. But that’s just my opinion.

      • GreenAlba June 24, 2019 at 1:23 pm #

“Yes, unequal power relations have always existed and always will. Simply a little nugget of truth but inconvenient for many anyway. “

I’m not sure where anyone in this conversation said unequal power relations didn’t exist. Perhaps you could point it out to me?

So where are you on the issue of 35-year-old teachers having sexual relations with their 14-year-old charges, SSL? Are you with Tate? Will you back him if a 35-year-old teacher gets involved with one of your sons? He thinks there is no blame to be apportioned because unequal power relations just, you know, exist.

“So what is the big surprise about the fact that there is unequal power relations between the sexes? “

If you came to my home and to many, many others, SSL, you would find that isn’t necessarily the case. I know we are far gone in our horrific descent into mutual respect, but there we are.

Maybe SSL has views on some Mrs Robinson with a taste for 14-year-olds initiating her boys.

And if you read my post to Tate, you’ll see that I was thinking of a 35-year-old MALE teacher messing with a 14-year-old boy, since Tate didn’t specify in his silly tit-for-tat response.

Female virginity is all important since no man wants to raise a child that isn’t his. Of course the State is fine with supporting such women so it doesn’t matter as much now to them. And thus Society goes down by the bow.

          • GreenAlba June 24, 2019 at 3:52 pm #

“Female virginity is all important since no man wants to raise a child that isn’t his.

Right. Because it’s impossible to have sex without getting pregnant.

If you want female virginity for the delicate class of male, you need a class of whores. And repulsive hypocrisy from people like you who want it both ways.

You are adept at avoiding questions, I’ll give you that.

Who else is tiring of this faux intellectualism, parading as deep wisdom on the basis of irrefutable statements of fact (as Janos sees it)?

In American marriage, at least ten percent of babies are from men other than their husband’s. It’s a big issue, Madge. Men should test their new baby’s DNA to make sure that it is in fact, their baby.

          • GreenAlba June 25, 2019 at 7:53 am #

“Who else is tiring of this faux intellectualism, parading as deep wisdom ”

Amen to that. Men with views like Janos’ tend to not be able to get the women they feel entitled to by dint of their esteemed alphaness, hence they can’t forgive da wimminz in general. Someone on their level wouldn’t be good enough for them. We had one like that at my work. Come to think of it he weirdly collected Nazi memorabilia too – maybe it’s a syndrome.

Of course it’s a syndrome – you only need to look at the websites they gather on. All the same views on everything, like they’ve been injected.

What do you expect him to do? Ask her? If she was good enough to be honest, she would have never cheated on him to begin with.

Alba, you are so completely outrageous that it’s really hard to take you seriously. Especially in this thread. I made no comment whatsoever about your “Mrs. Robinson” situation. My comment was specifically that many people deny the differences between the sexes. The differences in perception, development in general, sensibilities, etc. I never once said I support some 35 year old woman sleeping with a 14 year old boy. You really are disgusting to openly suggest my support of that but I am not surprised because you always drag me through mud when the opportunity seems to present itself. Why is that exactly????? Anyhoo, what I will say is that you are out of your mind if you don’t think teenage boys don’t fantasize about being “initiated” by an older woman. And yes, whether it is right or wrong many in society see it different than you. I hate to tell you but alot of men even joke about giving their sons high fives if they were to find out their son was getting it on with his teacher. Men are just that way. Sorry you can’t get a grip on reality. And I am not embracing it I am just telling you it is there. On the other hand most people automatically think of abuse if some situation between a 35 year old man and 14 year old girl were to be uncovered. Why? Because the girl is naturally going to be seen as a victim and the man a perpetrator. Why? Biology. Men seek and women say yes or no. Well that at least is the customary model though of course now women are supposed to be like men and pursue lovers the same way. So that situation would be seen as a grown man taking advantage of a vulnerable teenage girl. Abuse in other words. It really is simple so I am not going into it any more. I never said anything about not respecting you. You made it clear how little respect you had for me in the beginning. That is on you Alba. I have no hard feelings against you. I just often disagree with you.

          • GreenAlba June 26, 2019 at 9:22 am #

“. You really are disgusting to openly suggest my support of that…”

Really, SSL, again, get a flippin’ grip. I don’t understand how someone can go all the way through school and have such a tragically poor grip on the uses and nuances of the English language.

And thanks so much for the lesson on differences between men and women. I mean I’d never have thought…

That was sarcasm, BTW, since you seem to need the infinite variety of linguistic functions explained to you.

There was a case here a while ago where a 15-year-old girl went off with a married 35-year-old teacher, who was allegedly besotted with her, as she was with him.

They ran off to France together, but he later spent two and a half years in jail.

But here’s the thing. She was just a desperate to run away with him as he was to run away with her, and just as much as those boys would like to have sex with their teacher. So, in terms of responsibility and trust, there’s no difference between the male and female teacher.

What happens if the female teacher gets pregnant? Is the kid’s father going to give his boy a high five or try to get the teacher prosecuted?

“Anyhoo, what I will say is that you are out of your mind if you don’t think teenage boys don’t fantasize about being “initiated” by an older woman. ”

Are you mad? Who’s talking about fantasies? We’re talking about people DOING stuff.

And please, please, stop being ridiculous.

Especially if she’s their geography teacher.”

And given what I actually said, it’s you who owes me an apology for your utterly ridiculous interpretation, but don’t worry, I’m not that desperate. Bonkers is as bonkers does.

            …means…

            ….wait for it…

I don’t think SSL would approve of some Mrs Robinson initiating her boys.

Perhaps people should be less insulting about an education in the humanities. It has some uses.

I’m confused, who was “celebrating” segregationists?

Sniffy Joe was making who-knows-what point, maybe about his moral flexibility, maybe about his strong stomach, maybe about his ability to overlook crimes committed against large swathes of the American populace. Maybe he’s saying he’s adept at dealing with low-life scum. Who knows? Does he even know? Is he making virtue out of necessity?

As to modern-day segregationists, they’re in plain sight, not even hiding, right there on college campuses, in wealthy coastal enclaves. For all their virtue-signaling about race and diversity and multi-culturalism, do they inter-marry with Blacks and Latinos or Asians? No, the hell with all that, they take racism and bigotry with their mother’s milk, they circle the wagons to protect their interests and all the social justice blather is for earning a living in the academy or in corporate HR and in government bureaucracies but it’s especially for distraction and especially for distracting useful idiots. And aren’t these the clowns that practice Asian exclusion from their institutions of higher learning because of alleged character defects among that demographic? And no apology for it either.

There aren’t any “whites only” signs anywhere but there don’t have to be. Nobody even has to mouth it or whisper it. Barriers to entry are sky-high, social mobility a sick joke, not only for non-whites but also whites of poorer socio-economic strata, especially from Deplorable country. If you’re not born into the club you have more of a chance of making it to Proxima Centauri. Even if you accumulate a lot of dough, your looks, your tastes, but especially your accent marks you the second you open your mouth. You maybe can take the boy out of Shantyville but you can’t take Shantyville out of the boy.

JHK is right, the Democrats are well on their way to losing 2020 as all the Democrats are about is distraction from the real Democrat agendas of money and power for themselves but especially their paymasters. Will Liz Warren surmount what will be a Deep State push to up-end her candidacy given her railing against the predations of Wall Street? If I were Liz I’d watch my back, because what they did to Trump with the Russiagate baloney, they’ll do to her too. If I was a betting man I would bet the dirt-diggers are digging.

But in the end, by ignoring the material interests and dire needs of everyone but a small slice of the polity, all the Democrats are doing is creating political space for a political entrepreneur to create a following and maybe even a new party. They can maybe get rid of Liz, they can harass Trump to the point of neutering his administration but they can’t get rid of the economic interests of the people that voted Trump or would vote for Liz. Someone will sooner or later surface to address those needs. The Democrats, in short, are furiously digging their own grave. Boo-hoo. Good riddance.

      Hi Volodya,

More than the end of the Dem Party IMO. The spectacle of the 2016 election was a clear signal that the political party system in the USA is so thoroughly corrupted that only the most partisan fools wouldn’t admit such. Too much uniparty mentality and too many sitting in the “wrong” party; RINOs, DINOs, etc. And Gawd forbid that an outsider should win the election and make the grandees of the District of Corruption look bad.

I can only imagine the liberal uproar were Trump to be discovered “sniffing” a woman. But for some reason, Joe seems to be the anointed one, or, perhaps, until he fails so badly that she has to return to the struggle to compel the Deplorables to follow the moral arc of the universe, or something like that.

It is difficult not to be profoundly disgusted and completely cynical about the national political clown show.

      Cheers?

      • volodya June 24, 2019 at 1:41 pm #

SHE has to return to the struggle? You don’t mean the Mother of all Washington swamp creatures do you? Save us oh lord, save us …

Liberals are beset by selective blindness – be it ocular or olfactory – shrugging irritably, declaring there’s no “there” there to the most laughably obvious offences, but then they have the willing acquiescence of the Deep State in making a mockery of law enforcement and a joke of the judicial system.

So, yeah, if Trump took a Biden-style sniff, they’d be storming the barricades, drawing up impeachment papers, at the very least demanding an end to this thing about not indicting a sitting president.

The way I see it, wokesterism and Gay Pride Parade-ism is just an orgy of virtue-signaling similar to the howling and grief and gnashing of teeth and rending of garments anytime one of the Kim patriarchs kicks the bucket in North Korea. So get out your rainbow flag and show up at the appointed hour along the parade route and pretend with all your might that you give a shit. Or your job or career or your social standing will be in peril, all of which applies to North Korea with the addition of imprisonment in the gulag or death by firing squad.

But the real liberal agenda is money. Filthy lucre and nothing more and the rest is a distraction. The service that Trump rendered is to have called out the Republicans because their agenda was the same as the Democrats and so Trump left the GOP stalwarts carrying their asses home in a pail. The same is yet to happen to the Democrats.

But with their frenetic attention to everything that matters least and their diligent inattention to everything that matters most they will by necessity make themselves irrelevant. I mean, even the most dedicated Democrat functionary has eyes and ears and a brain. Just like the Republicans and the Communists, the Democrats will stop believing their own bullshit. And they won’t even pretend to believe. And when that happens, that’s the end of it.

I think that – cough – “progressives” make a big show of it as every other word out of their mouths is migrants and blacks and gays and lezzies but the reality is that people with money mean to keep what they have. If there’s a widow or orphan with a few bucks in their bank account, the wealthy Manhattan “progressive” sees it as a cosmic injustice remedied only by scoffing said funds. In reality the condition of Deplorable Whites and Blacks and Hispanics is disastrous and the remedy for that is something that will never happen ie steady, decent paying jobs and an economy that makes use of more talents than fucking with spreadsheets or writing apps or conning people out of their retirement. But, because all of this will mean more money for destitute Whites and hard-bitten Blacks and Hispanics, it will ever see the light of day. At least, under this current regime.

        • SoftStarLight June 25, 2019 at 10:31 am #

Well yes that is true V. They, the Elite, are not going to give up their cushy positions so easily. That is why if there is any change at all it will be revolutionary. Let’s just hope it is a Nationalist revolution and not a Marxist revolution. Right now it is looking like it will be a Marxist revolution but I am hopeful I am wrong. And I know that you are really hoping that there can be a racial Kumbaya but I don’t see that occurring either. Especially as the fight over the table scraps of civilization heats up. That is why family/tribe will matter. Blood is thicker than water. It’s easy to forget what is important when things are relatively easy.

Now, you’re mongering fear of a ‘revolution’ – you want Nazis in charge but are afraid the nasty commies might prevail. Make up your mind!

Why would Trump in his prime ‘rape’ a 50 yr old woman in a dressing room at Bergdorf Goodman? This harridan, who is now 75, claims in her book that she’s promoting (no surprise), that she has a 22 Most Hideous Men in My Life list on which we find our president listed No.1. Teflon Trump says that he never heard of her. That will be the end of the story. Avid feminists can wait 6 mos to pick up her book on the remainder table.

    • JohnAZ June 24, 2019 at 1:43 pm #

Who the heck is paying these women to come up with this stuff, and not only aimed at the GGG. Men need to learn new boundaries, women need to learn to stay out of trouble by staying away from trouble.

Why would Trump in his prime ‘rape’ a 50 yr old woman – Tate

      ============

Trump’s latest accuser is 2.5 years older than Trump, hardly the gap in age you imply by the words “in his prime.” And besides there’s the ‘any port in a storm’ factor.

Regardless, my reason for commenting is to note that the funniest line in this political season is Trump offering as denial of sexual abuse that “number one, she’s not my type.”

      • benr June 26, 2019 at 7:36 pm #

Well if you look at his ex- wives and current wife you will see he does have a type and I seriously doubt this lady was his type but as we have all been lectured about rape is not about sex it’s about a power tripping asshole.

        • GreenAlba June 27, 2019 at 8:53 am #

I think it can be either or both, benr.

There have been horrible instances here of men in their 20s or 30s breaking into the homes of women in their seventies and raping them before stealing their stuff. (White men before Janos jumps in.). It’s not frequent but it does happen.

      • Tate June 27, 2019 at 3:16 pm #

She asserted it’s often about sex to Anderson ‘CIA’ Cooper. Then with a glazed expression she told him he is a very interesting interviewer which left him tongue-tied & stumbling for a response, ROFL. I’m having to reevaluate on her. She’s not like all the others.

Although roundly labeled as a crazy, I’m thinking she’s quite a gal. Could be an extended comedy routine like Joaquin Phoenix doing hip-hop.

The only thing worse than the Democratic and Republican Party going under, is the idea of a single party system.

What will we call the remaining party? National Socialist, or Communist. Both have had their run at history.

What we need is for a middle of the road press that reports honestly and unbiased on the foibles of both sides. Then let the people choose sides based on the needs of the moment. Extremism would die out quickly as they would be considered quacks like they used to be.

We need two parties, not one. Choice is critical in a republic.

    • volodya June 24, 2019 at 2:03 pm #

I agree, we need to throw the bums out periodically. But then there has to be bums to replace the ones that got thrown out. And that means another political party. The Chinese would insist no, it’s not necessary, that in fact their way is better. I say it’s not. The Chinese way is how corruption gets entrenched.

Businessmen say it’s cheaper overall than endless taxes, fees, and restrictions. Twice a year you take your patron out to a good restaurant. At some point you express your deep gratitude and casually present an envelope containing the requisite sum, probably just placing it on the table near him. It’s all fairly ritualized and casual. But any bad attitude about it will be resented tremendously. Deep sincerity about the gratitude need not be there, but the words must be said with a semblance of the same.

    • Ol' Scratch June 24, 2019 at 5:20 pm #

Umm… John, we HAVE only one single party as we speak. The names are purely for distraction. Don’t be distracted.

The Deep State vs. the Trumpers. Two factions. 2020 will tell the tale on whether the new two parties will continue. The Browning of America may destroy the two party system.

        • JohnAZ June 24, 2019 at 8:57 pm #

One of my points is that the press is key to a two party system. When the press lines up on one side only, it ceases its monitoring function. Commonly known as a free press.

      • Janos Skorenzy June 24, 2019 at 11:31 pm #

The two real parties: Zionists/Neo Cons and the Democrats. And the Democrats are increasingly the Party of Big Business – let’s face the simple fact. This will not become common knowledge for years though. The Republicans are merely the deceptive outer face of the the first faction. Their golems.

The Zios want to drag America off to same nameless place for some nameless purpose. As the nut said Joe in that movie, I’m gonna use you, boy! You know, Dustin Hoffman and the blonde guy taking the bus ride to salvation…..

The Demos want to dissolve America – which they see as exalting her, making her a showpiece or microcosm of the World.

Being the Party of Big Business, and having the UN behind them (as in controlling it a la the NGOs), they are ultimately more powerful than the Zios. But the Zios can’t be counted out – as they have the power to dash the world to hell since they control key industries and positions in the military, etc.

  23. BackRowHeckler June 24, 2019 at 2:26 pm #

The Dem debates ought to be good.

It looks like student loan debt will be the main issue, at least for now, edging out impeachment.

Blaming whitey for everything should be a main theme, ‘specially white men. Climate change, homosexuality, racism, the wonderfulness of trannies, all good talking points. Expect each candidate to out do the other. The way that works is, if Breadline Bernie says we have 20 years to cool the planet, Liz Warren says no, we have only 10 years.

I graduated with a BS (Bull Shit) of Environmental Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2017. Was the degree worth it? No. Mr. Kunstler, John Michael Greer, Derrick Jensen, Chris Martenson, and Hambone Little-Tail are far better teachers than a four year college education.

$375 a month is unmanageable in terms of student loan payments, especially if you are working a minimum wage job. $1600 per month, $12,025 left after paying the loan. $850+ for rent in MA which leaves $375 for everything else. I can’t even find a part time minimum wage job anywhere and have applied to Chucky Cheese, Walmart and every racket out there. (You’re overqualified is the response I keep getting from them) From every environmental corporation, I’m told I don’t have the experience.

Here’s what they need to do before forgiving student loans. Just stop the interest from accruing. That’s all. It’s indentured servitude/slavery because wages won’t rise to keep pace with the interest of these loans. Graduates inability to pay their loans is part of what’s driving young people towards socialism.

Mr. Kunstler I would love to drive over to New York sometime and talk about the student loan issue with you and the insanity of college campuses. If you want to talk about it doing some painting together I’d be happy to bring my canvas paints and brushes along.

Stopping the interest from accruing is a good suggestion but it may not be possible because aren’t these loans packaged & resold in the financial markets to big institutions like public service retirement funds? This will eventually be a mess going almost as haywire as the housing bubble fiasco, I’m afraid.

Picket in front of the UofM Amherst front administration building with a large placard that reads…’Professors & university administrators making huge profits off of shilling for Subprime Student Loans that can NEVER be paid off due to compounded interest rate charges that are predatory!’

And on the other side of the placard write…

UofM Amerherst PREDATORY LENDERS VICTIMIZE STUDENTS!

That should net you a job once the media interviews you after a week of picketing in front of the admin building. If the media does not respond within a week you should change up you tactics to picket in front of the local media newspaper building.

Do a YouTube video of your demonstration so that others catch on and copy your activism.

If they call the police to evict you make sure to picket right in front of the police station too.

This was a good lesson for you at a young age: every adult is out to screw you into debt servitude any way they can. All the nonsense that adults care for you and want you to do well should be out the window now. You (and your friends) are on your own.

This doesn’t help the debt situation. From what I know, Env Science is a worthless degree. But, did you take Stats classes, math classes, any hard science? These could be worthwhile, if you move into a field like data science. That takes no schooling or tuition, and you can build a portfolio by taking 30 hour courses on Udemy for $11. And you learn the same stuff as you would in a lame college course. The Same Stuff.

Or, is a trade open to you? I talked to an electrician and he said kids get paid to apprentice, and just go to a union hall and ask a lot of questions – maybe that could be a fit.

One last note: a friend had a math and stats background from college, but was making peanuts, literally, working at an “environmentally-caring” company. I spent 2 years teaching her databases and data science (python, pandas, sql server, power bi, access), and she literally doubled her salary in one jump. She showed off her portfolio of work and there was a bidding war for her skills, and she ended up working for an enormous, major company. I would get digital books for her on sale at places like PacktPub or Manning or Apress. Video courses at udemy and Lynda (never pay more that $12 for those video courses).

Total cost to more than double her income? Maybe $300 for books and video courses. Plus a lot of hard work. But now she has a chance for a life. And don’t forget the torrent networks. Every textbook and solution manual is on there.

    • Ol' Scratch June 24, 2019 at 5:14 pm #

Sounds like the kind of degree you need a Masters in to do anything with (which is MOST degrees these days!). Not that I’m advising you to throw any more money at it at this point. You’d probably need a steady, relatively uninterrupted career track with references these days, as well. The National Labs would be a logical route, as they often pay for higher degrees while you work. Environmental Sciences are a major growth area in terms of sheer employment opportunity numbers, but the upper salary potential’s somewhat limited unless you’re a standout in the field. Definitely not a prestige job or anything, but it will more than pay the bills.

      Prepper

New Zealand has a possible solution you might want to explore or promote
      (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Student_loans_in_New_Zealand).

Student loans were introduced in the mid-1990s. Before this, university fees were covered 90% by the government.

Introduced by NZ’s conservative party, National, the Student Loans System was a way of reducing the on-books cost for the government accounts by transferring what had once been a subsidy to a student to an obligation on that student.

The ‘loan’ is fully supplied by the government, rather than private lenders.

In 2001, a Labour government seeking re-election waived all interest on loans while studying and, later (2005) in post-study if living in New Zealand. (If you leave NZ to work, then interest starts accruing.)

Currently, outstanding debt amounts to $15 billion, with the average loan being around $21,000.

Repayment is paid through the tax system – once in work, and earning more than $19,500 ($375 per week) after which you pay an additional 12 cents in the dollar towards your loan. Again, no interest at all, throughout the life of the loan.

Still, some kids leave university with mortgage-sized debt, which hangs around their neck for a long time which means delays in starting a family and buying property. Still, it is clearly a much fairer system than the US uses.

    • I don’t know how you are going to pay the rent by volunteering to apprentice to Kunstler as sidekick in his plein air mein. You are more likely to make your monthly nut if you take your clothes off and strike heroic poses in the South End of Boston.

Anyway, with grade inflation, you really have to get a masters to make real money, or at the very least, be willing to go literally anywhere, and take jobs that might be tangential to a strictly environmental science field, for example, as a public health officer, swabbing public toilets. From there, make professional connections to upgrade to something cushy, moving icons around on a screen, to prepare endless required civil paperwork. The bottom line is that, as in every field, you have to pay your dues. Long hours at the bottom of the totem pole, obscure grunt work, volunteer or temporary, and demonstrate some sense of drive and mission beyond a careerist mentality. Ironically this will prepare you to become a careerist. The degree is just the beginning of the moat.

Or, you could go live with the syphilis-ridden lost tribes of Bora Bora with the Peace Corps. That is what I did. I have great memories and some anal itching that will never go away.

Brh: Also, Finca, on the Russian campus, is it PC, with a strain of anti Russia sentiment running thru it, like the anti Americanism and anti white rhetoric like we have in the USA?

Me: I think we were more interested in girls and American music.

About the sex in the USSR, which actually was!

When I once told my fellow Pratt students about the life of students in the USSR, they sat and listened to me, nervously gnawing at their nails, and one even accused me on the basis of this story that I am a Communist and propagandize the Soviet way of life, by no means meaning lack of sex in the USSR.

Which was not at all in my plans. I just got drunk and I felt sorry for the unhappy boys from Iowa who found themselves in the “capital of the world” New York.

The fact of the matter is that the sexual revolution was not in America, it was in the USSR, when the moral image of the builder of communism had already left the forefront of history, and the sexual accountant of capitalism had not yet learned to use an adding machine (I don’t even talk about computers).

But in the USSR, no one noticed because of its uniformity, universality and benefits for fertility.

Sexual Revolution – in America, this phrase means the emergence of Playboy magazine and mass masturbation with the help of this magazine, with the result that, as I understand it, any depravity was destroyed as a class and American abstinence and morality reigned after money and career have come to the fore in this area.

Physical philandering due to the weight of the possible consequences turned out to be too expensive and could not stand the competition with Playboy. When I went to the USA through Austria and Italy, every tobacco shop was crammed with covers with naked women and matching cassettes, but it was nothing compared to 42 streets in New York, which gave the impression of some kind of sexual Hell that could turn Casanova and Marquis de Sade into pathetic impotents.

In the USSR, there was nothing of this, and until the girlfriend dragged a video player from work, I did not know what pornography is. But in personal relationships, the only thing that was required of a man is to please the girl. And, as far as I remember, physical attractiveness was also not so important, and even more so, neither money nor career played any major importance. Practically we lived in the world described by Stanislaw Lem in “Return from the Stars”.

The only material factor that still invaded this sphere of human relations, and at all social levels, is American blue pants with rivets. And in my opinion it is precisely this invasion in this sphere that became the cause of the most terrible geopolitical catastrophe in the history of mankind.

There was one single exception: the sexual life of children of diplomats and foreign trade workers from the mid-70s followed the laws of capitalism, and it seems to me that Meladze realized some complexes of that time in this song and reduced some of his scores with a delay of 20 years, since at the moment of the appearance of this clip, the logic determined by the difference in exchange rate between the sausage ruble and foreign-exchange ruble was already outdated.

    youtube.com/watch?v=KRuPhmJ33-E

And all the other young men and women who had nothing to do with MGIMO, INYAZ or the faculty of journalism or philology, having met and liked each other, went to the cinema, not really bothered with mercantile considerations. It was in the last rows of cinemas that shyness and other moral barriers were overcome, preventing young people from embarking on a frank discussion of ways to solve the most important and most difficult problem: “Where and when ?!”.

    youtube.com/watch?v=YeVirGgMsCA

And then came US citizen Anya Politkovskaya with the “Vzglyad” program under her arm, where all the boys did not belong to the “high society” and whom she approached, removed from herself, drove in, divorced, reconciled, quarreled as Ksyusha of the defendants of House-2. And the morals of the faculty of journalism, MGIMO and INYAZ have become spread to the rest of the youth.

    And everything collapsed!

In my imagination, I think the whole “sexual revolution” scheme was cooked up by some frat boys (probably Dartmouth) to increase their chances of having sex. “Show us how free you are girls!”

Seriously? No woman wants a one-night stand.

        Jen

Do you remember Hugh Hefner and Playboy. His stated objective was to lead the sexual revolution, and he did it. The Playboy Mansion in LA was famous as a source of debauchery and many of the dirty old men of today’s #metoo movement are products of this lifestyle. Remember the 70s and 80’s and the playboy movement. Part of being male, famous and rich was access to the Playboy movement.

And yes girls, there were plenty of female volunteers.

Sad story…The head cheerleader from my high school became a playboy bunny. Tragically, she died in her early ’40’s of hepatitis. Blech.

Pam Anderson has Hep C, which seems to be an occupational hazard amongst women for the promiscuous lifestyle promoted by pubs like Playboy and Penthouse in the last century.

Why women bought into any of that I’ll never understand. Maybe they didn’t after all, as your post indicates, Jen.

            Brh

          • Majella June 26, 2019 at 7:01 pm #

Hep C is easily treated now, since last year in fact, with a course of orally-taken medication.

Prior to that a 6-month therapy regimen (with what was essentially a chemotherapy drug, interferon) had great success, over 70%, but a nasty process, physically.

So, Pamela A may be with us for some time yet.

But, blaming it on sexual activity is a bit of an over-reach – there are many causes:

You may be at high risk of hepatitis C if you can say ‘Yes’ to any of the following:

Have you ever had a tattoo or body piercing done using unsterile equipment or somewhere other than a licensed studio?

Did you receive a blood transfusion prior to July 1992?

Have you ever taken drugs through needles or your nose – even once?

Have you ever had jaundice (yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes) or abnormal liver function?

Have you ever lived in or received health care in Southeast Asia, China, the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East, or Eastern Europe (including Russia)?

Does your mother or a household member have hepatitis C?

Have you ever been in prison?

            Less common risks include:

Sexual practices which may risk blood contact with a person who is infected with the hepatitis C virus

Sharing personal care items, such as razors or toothbrushes that may have come in contact with the blood of an infected person

            HIV infection

    Wellsir,
Tulsi Gabbard is the *only* candidate talking seriously about pulling in the horns of Empire and repairing the infrastructure (while there yet remains capital to do so). BTW, that would be a ‘jobs program’ of massive dimensions. This is a common sense approach to what is about to steamroll us all.

I’ll give ya three guesses as to why she gets no press… and the first two don’t count.

The status quo must be maintained at all costs. And who do you imagine gets to bear those costs — until they can’t be borne, hmm?

    • Ol' Scratch June 24, 2019 at 5:42 pm #

Quite telling, isn’t it? She’s otherwise very articulate, comely, and middle of the road in nearly all of her views. But dare to bite the MICC hand that feeds? Not on your life in this country. I’d like to see her team up with Gravel and go for the “what the hell, what do we have to lose?” vote. They’d never win, but they could at least get some good points out there. The MICC ain’t going away anytime soon, but it will be in the not too far distant future.

      • PeteAtomic June 25, 2019 at 4:58 pm #

Gabbard doesn’t seem too keen on riding on the identitarian bandwagon or the pro-war lobby, so I doubt she has much of a future in the party.

We have to bear those costs. And I imagine that *they* are not too concerned about our pain threshold. They are going to do what they can to discredit Tulsi Gabbard IMO as they have done with any real threat to the status quo. They started this process months and months ago when they accused her of homophobia and being a Russian plant.

A bunch of Cowboys loners with radical ideas are little threat. But hundreds of thousands of Catholics who believe the same thing – say Fr Coughlin’s program – could easily become millions and pose a real threat. Turning the country’s riches over to the globalists, fomenting endless wars of empire against non-compliant countries, usually with vast reserves of crude, filling prisons with non-volent offenders and making pot respectable are the hilites or lowlites of Boomer accomplishments.
We should be able to pass some wealth onto our progeny but who knows what those fiat dollars will be worth down the road. Maybe Gen Z, the Millenials or Gen X will do a better job. Not squandering $7 trillion in endless Mideast wars, $29 trillion to bailout TBTF banks (instead of breaking them up and jailing their officers) and passing $21 trillion of dark money from the Treasury through the DOD and HUD to somewhere unknown, is a start. While Xi and Putin do shots of Vodka in the Kremlin, President Pete asks for a cup of Rosewater. Meanwhile, in other quarters, Chasten commiserates with the definetly unwoke Russian and Chinese first ladies, who joke thru translators of sending Chasten down the Volga in an ice flow. Back in the Kremlin, President Pete begins to lecture Putin and Xi on special rights for homosexuals and drag queens. Xi and Putin are baffled — they’re here to talk about the spead of nuclear weapons — and give each other side glances. Then and there they decide the pit of sodomy President Pete represents needs to be eradicated.

Soooooh . . . . the “Golem” is one of either or both:

    1. A [Jewish] clay figure brought to life by magic, that is “created entirely from inanimate [nebulous] matter. . . . an uncultivated person [a mask]. . . . golem is used to mean ‘dumb’ or ‘helpless’. Similarly, it is often used today as a metaphor for a mindless lunk or entity who serves a man under controlled conditions but is hostile to him under others” (Wiki)

    2. An automaton, “a machine or control mechanism designed to automatically follow a predetermined sequence of operations, or respond to predetermined instructions,” (Wiki) or a robot.

IS Trump Jewish — or is he being molded into becoming Jewish? If he is Jewish, then who is the Magician that creates an animates him? To what predetermined sequence of operations and purpose? Recall the legal maxim “The Creator Controls.” Does Trump not serve his creator?

Ya know, the Golem has a town named after him now — in Is-Real, no less.

I like Bernie Sander’s plans to provide education and healthcare for all. And I like the way he will pay for it. He was very specific on where the money is: we gave it to the banks in bailouts. Holy cow, auburn or whoever you have been.

      Money represents labor, Econ 101.

Money is not a phantom, as will be shown in the great debt collapse in the future.

I will give you an example of the idiocy of the free money campaign.

You bring up the bank bailout of 2008. Perfect example against your cause. The Federal government spiked the housing credit market with free money in the form of sub prime loans to millions of people who had no business financing a house. Then Wall Street developed methods to make securities out of these bogus mortgages. When the ARM cheap loans ran out, so did Wall Streets capital base. The government bailed out these banks because the banks had no money left. They were bankrupt. So the banks resurrected their capital bases by using money from the taxpayers. Argue that point all day, I won’t because it is a waste of time.

Well, guess what. Here we are again. This time the capital inflation is in student loans. Again we have trillions of dollars of loans to people that have no way to pay it back. We have Wall Street making securities of these loans to increase their supposed profits. The banks are on the edge, AGAIN, of insolvency due to bad debt.

Do you get it? Where the hell is Bernie or anyone going to get the money to pay off these loans en masse. Wall Street is already teetering again trying to keep its head above water. There is no money to tax in Wall Street. Wall Street is a house of cards, if anyone tries to tax Wall Street for anything to be given free, 2008 is going to be a fond memory. And millennials, if you think you have been hurt by 2008, vote for Bernie, any future you wanted will be destroyed. By the same mechanism.

Oh yeah, look at the timing of the 2008 collapse, right after the last Democrat entered the White House after a GOP turn. Obama scared the hell out of the business community and they scared him right back.

Sanders will fund his student loan forgiveness plan through a new tax on financial transactions, which he expects could raise more than $2 trillion over the next 10 years. The tax plan will include a 0.5% fee on all stock trades, a 0.1% fee on all bond trades and a 0.005% fee on all derivatives trades.

          • JohnAZ June 24, 2019 at 11:03 pm #

So he will pay off all the outstanding debt, what about the new debt, and the increases in tuition that the colleges will charge once they have a free tit from the Feds.

500 Mom Strong is a group of women who have had enough with the sexualization of our children and the mockery of our femininity,” she wrote.

“The Spokane Public Library South Hill has decided to host a ‘Drag Queen Story Hour’ on June 15th, at 2pm. This is misogyny; drag queens are very offensive to women. They are grotesque hypersexualized caricatures of women. They mock women and debase our womanhood and femininity. A drag queen is no different than a racist donning black face,” she continued.

“The library hosting such an event teaches our sons that women are just sexual objects and it teaches our daughters that they must be overly sexualized to be desired. Enough is enough. We say NO more to a political agenda aimed at degrading women and sexualizing children. We say no to gender appropriation!”

    Anna Bohach.

I support Ms Bohach’s protest and commend her clever use of stereotypes against them. But I don’t endorse her complete pov since I believe that “stereotyped” behavior is at least partially natural or innate, though mediated by culture of course. Most women desire to be sex objects, at least sometimes. Never to be a sex object is to be destined to be an old maid.

    • GreenAlba June 25, 2019 at 7:36 am #

I wonder if it’s called ‘Drag Queen Hour’ because the dipsticks feel they are being dragged along to watch it against their will.

‘The library hosting such an event’ doesn’t teach their sons anything if they decline to go to the library on June 15th at 2pm.

I wouldn’t be there, just like I didn’t see the Pride march in Edinburgh on Saturday even though I was in town. Didn’t even know it was on until friends I was meeting told me it was and that the buses might be delayed. The obsessed see everything, naturally.

Why should children be exposed to and indoctrinated in sexual deviancy at the library???? Is it not enough that sexual deviancy is being glamorized on every imaginable form of media known to humankind in every little corner of the earth???? Is there no place where a child can simply enjoy the innocence of childhood? And please do explain how a Drag Queen is not simply a caricature of women? Why are they called female impersonators? You don’t need to impersonate something you are so clearly they are happy being caricatures. Why are they so over the top about everything? It is not about being obsessed about anything. It is about attempting to stop the corruption of children and civilization itself. You keep basically saying live and let live. Yet it is exactly they who do not believe in live and let live. Otherwise they wouldn’t be forcing this onto children in libraries.

Not for the first time, you seem to be rather hysterically arguing with a whole lot of points I haven’t made 🙂 .

I’m not into drag queens. I didn’t mind Danny la Rue as a child of his time but he was about glamour, comedy and pantomime, and was no more sexual than a bar of soap.

Where did I say anything about drag queens being caricatures or not being caricatures? You are so obsessed you fly off the handle without reading people’s posts properly.

I didn’t even criticise the angry mommies for doing whatever they want to do. I merely pointed out that the library can’t corrupt anyone’s sons if they just don’t take their sons there when the flippin’ drag queen is reading his/her flippin’ story. Which seems to be on June 15th at 2pm. Eminently avoidable I’d have thought. March as well if you want to.

“Otherwise they wouldn’t be forcing this onto children in libraries.”

Forcing? Like I said, they’re not going round with a van and a big net. Get a grip.

There’s a Canadian case right now where a couple is suing the school for teaching their daughter that there is no such thing as gender at all. Regular school, regular hours, regular class. It’s coming. In Europe, you can’t opt out of “school”. Not that bad here yet. But soon to raise pure healthy kids, you’ll have to make them pariahs.

And again you inject yourself into the argument. You’re not into it you loftily state, but you are all in favor of snipers being employed against those who protest it at a PUBLIC Library.

“but you are all in favor of snipers being employed against those who protest it at a PUBLIC Library.”

I don’t recall mentioning snipers – that seems a bit far-fetched and very American.

But the point about the public library is that it’s not compulsory at 2pm on June 15th. If people don’t go, they won’t continue the drag queen story hour. You’re the one who’s into free speech.

I consider drag queen story hours slightly bonkers, but I know that in the highly unlikely event of my almost 7-year-old grandson going to one, he’d just giggle a bit with his friends afterwards and carry on as normal.

I don’t agree with schools taking it upon themselves to teach children that there’s no such thing as gender. I’m perfectly happy for them to teach children that everyone isn’t the same and people who are different shouldn’t be attacked or bullied for being different if they’re not harming anyone else.

I don’t know what a ‘pure’ child is, although I am familiar with healthy ones. I’m guessing they’d have to approximate to the baby Jesus.

          • GreenAlba June 25, 2019 at 2:02 pm #

And there’s nothing ‘lofty’ about saying I’m not into drag queens. That’s just a statement of fact. The dressing up into ‘lofty’ is your doing.

‘Snipers’, he says — there’s one for the scrapbook, a very clear instance of the KIBO syndrome (knowledge in, bullshit out) at work. If Eyesore McGee doesn’t like milk, he’ll accuse you of putting spiders in it. I imagine his inner life as something like a puppy mill: very sad, and very stinky.

I wonder what is more corrupting than knowing the President of your country approves of pussy grabbing, making lascivious innuendo comments about their own daughters, raping young women doing their jobs, and bribing hookers to stay silent?

As opposed to clowns that look like exaggerated women who are being openly honest about their somewhat bizarre fascination with entertaining others.

Now that I gather (from a nephew) that our DNA has a major connection with Scandinavia, I’m waiting for someone to exact reparations from me for all that longboat and longsword activity on the beaches of Northumberland in the 9th century. Next time we have a day trip to Lindisfarne I may have to take scones for the locals, as well as buying even more of their soft fruit and over-priced home-made raspberry jam.

Ordinarily I would raise a smile but I’m a little sleep-deprived and I’ve just witnessed Beth Rigby on Sky News in addition to an Adidas advert depicting what regrettably passes as today’s youth culture.

This is the kind of thing I mean. No rebuttal of Boris’ views, plans or beliefs. Just the usual negativity and ad hominem attacks. First they ignore you, then they laugh at you…

Like I say, I’m curmudgeonly. I feel like Victorian Dad from Viz living in a country to which I belong no more. Bah!

Really, I think you are definitely being curmudgeonly.

For what shall it profit a man if he regain the whole of his sovereignty but lose that which is most British? 🙂

But such things are subjective. It was my husband who sent me it and he thought it was funny too.

I’ve heard Boris’s plans this very evening BTW AND a sensible rebuttal of each one. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about, unfortunately.

Boris doesn’t do detail. He does bluster. But I am a mere observer and will continue to observe.

I’ve seen a bit of Boris on TV lately (finally) and I really think he will do well if given a chance. The problem is he won’t be. Even his own party will do whatever it takes to remove him. I smell a Russia story coming on!

      • GreenAlba June 25, 2019 at 11:49 am #

Also it’s taking the piss out of Boris and his latest squeeze posing while playing happy families to offset his carcrash moment of having the police called out to a domestic between the pair of them. Maybe a cultural reference you could miss, not being here!

            hm

His floppy hair has always been seen as part of the lovable buffoon image he’s cultivated over the years. He seems to have cut it shorter than it used to be in a concession to potential high office.

As he gets chubbier, of course, he takes on the aspect of a boiled egg with a blond mop dropped on top.

It will be interesting to see him and the other famous hairdo having ‘talks’, though!

Some people are giving him two weeks as PM, before some crisis or other triggers an election.

            I can’t take much more of this… 🙁

A fine distinction, ‘then’ v. ‘now’. I suspect, Cory Booker won’t be elected but it won’t be because of his hair. If Bernie gets the nomination, it’ll be a real test case, won’t it? Or do comb-overs not count?

        JohnAZ

But even the lowest enlisted soldier doesn’t work for free. A quick look shows that the military option is pretty good, especially for the lower socio-economic cohorts, which explains to a large extent why Recruitment Centres are where they are.

Starting pay for a Private is $19,200 pm plus ‘all found’, while a minimum wage worker on full time (40 hours a week, if you can get it flipping burgers) gets $15,080 and carries all personal living costs, including transportation to work.

The military money gets pretty attractive if you get committed and climb the ranks – the highest NCO is E9, an SMA (Special) on a range of $60,600 to $94,000-odd. Not bad. As well, there are several pretty attractive retirement plans which you can start collecting from age 37.

There’s also all the trade & other educational courses accessible while in the service.

“Service” doesn’t necessarily mean overseas combat duty. I don’t think that living on a base in Europe, Japan or Korea for the duration of the term of enlistment is particularly worthy of the ubiquitous ‘thank you for your service’ cap-doffing.

If you DO go into combat, there’s a bonus for that too – $225 per month PLUS waiving of all taxes for that month.

So, given that it’s actually not a deal – financially & educationally – , the GI Bill looks just as much like free money as everything else you rail against.

    • benr June 25, 2019 at 10:17 am #

Spoken like a true idiot that has not served in the military.
You have zero clue about what it takes to basically put your life on hold while in the military.
I can only attest to what it was like in the NAVY but your life revolved around the NAVY and the ship you were assigned to.
Your wife and children came second, your hobbies and pass times came third!
I was gone on an 8 month cruise and was away for four months of my daughters life I never got to see her born or the last several months of my wife’s pregnancy!
While in port we were in three section duty meaning 1 in 3 days I slept on that ship.
Our op tempo was usually floating in the ocean for over 200 days a year!
I find clueless short sighted people such as yourself contemptible I bet if you were old enough you would have spit at returning Vietnam vets..

  48. I’m a bit shocked to hear some people still believe that capitalism isn’t set up to take all your money and lead you into debt.

Thats all it is, in the end. The retailers know exactly how many pennies you have in the cartegory “Disposable income”. Their market research is the best in the world. They know exactly what kind of person you are, and how much money you have in your pocket.

Netflix and HBO know how much money you are going to spend on TV and movies. Nike and Adidas know hoe much you are going to spend on shoes. The landlords know how much you will pay for rent.

Its their jobs to take every marginal penny on the dollar they can from you in their category, and the degree to which they make you overspend or subtract from payments to their competitors is the measure of their success.

College is a business, and without an apparent upper bound for what middle class families will tolerate, the price naturally rises to the threshold determined by the invisible hand of the market. Same for every commodity and good.

The only way to beat this system is radical awareness and active strategies to avoid a situation where you end up in debt or with an inability to pay.

Of course you’re not going to hear too much about the moral hazards of a market subsidy for a class (college degree holders) who can already by considered “ahead of the game” as they can typically command higher than average wages – typically.

I do think price controls are necessary in higher education. Nothing is holding these institutions back currently, from ballooning administrative staff and fluff like sports teams, landscaping, remodeling, and other non-curriculars.

Lets assume Miz Warren pays the bill for Mr. EnvSci pooper-prepper up there. Aside from an URGENT need for cash employment at the local Chuck-E-Cheez, are we to assume he will now somehow magically accrue wealth and status, and all the other bullshit modern life requires, without leaving Amherst?

The marketers are licking their chops and expecting his application for a loan to McMasters’ School of Public Administration where he’ll turn these experiences into a lifelong mission to convert every private institution to public-funding.

Well said. Let’s have a moratorium on ALL of this. Make everyone wear wrinkled gray pyjamas for a few years. Get back to basics. Show trials for Bankers and Capitalists and billionaire Socialists with AOC as the Supreme Authority as to guilt, innocence, and penalty. Gangs of youth with their faces painted greed roam the cities looking for environmental criminals. Blacks don’t have to work anymore, but most will want to work in the take from the rich and give to themselves industries.

Rural Whites mock them saying “C’mon and get some”. The Blacks, Browns, Greens, and Reds seek easier targets, begging the Army to come in and conquer the hinterlands.

Corporate capitalism is a giant vacuum cleaner, hoovering up revenues from all over the world and converting them to profits for the one percent. Simple concept, but most people simply refuse to get it. Probably because they foolishly think that they can share in the party. Not for long for some, not at all for everyone else.

    Janos

Maybe if Kids were made to do service work, they might grow up a little and appreciate what they they have in this country.

You give many thoughts on the US after a governmental collapse. Not just you, what exactly do you think the people of the country really want the structure of the USA to be if they all had their way. IMO, the Left wants the Constitution abandoned to allow them total power. I do not have a clue what the GOP wants. I do think that business as usual is not going to happen

My question to both sides and you is, what goes into place of the Constitution if it is voided? Will the government of the Red states and the Cities be the same? Will there even be a central government?

    • Janos Skorenzy June 25, 2019 at 12:35 am #

It has to be amended at least. We were implicitly a White country, but anything that is nailed down in this world will get appropriated sooner or later. Now the Leftists professors deny that we were ever supposed to be White. Or that Whites even exist. Of course they know these things are nonsense, but when did the Left ever care about Truth? Facts are just weapons and the truth is just a big stick. Trump is like this too. He knows the Truth, otherwise he couldn’t have talked to White America with such passion. He just doesn’t care about it – not when it gets in the way of the Agenda or THEIR Truth.

Some say the Articles of Confederation were better in terms of keeping Government small. I sympathize, but we need a strong, central Government so I can’t go that route at all. We’d be conquered state by state that way, either from within or without. But America isn’t going to stay the same in any case. Much of it is lost because of the Mexican invasion – already part of Mexico. Other parts are lost to the Blacks, etc. So we can’t afford to lose any more of it, eh?

      • Janos Skorenzy June 25, 2019 at 12:38 am #

One more thing to not forget. When the founding fathers did their thing, the country was filled with agrarian folks that worked very hard and looked to the Feds for protection of the entire country. And not much else.

Unlike the spoiled rotten gimme Leftists who are always looking for a handout from the PTB instead of earning their own way. Constantly berating the wealthy for being rich, instead of being grateful for the jobs and fiscal opportunities that the rich provide.

It is so easy to just complain. Instead of creating a path for themselves.

And, to cap it all off, you ask Janos for advice on running the country?

  51. Janos Skorenzy June 25, 2019 at 12:24 am #

They repair the roads and bridges and rails. Our infrastructure is in ruins in case you haven’t noticed. Clean up the filth left by the illegal invasion of our Southern Border. Maybe even help build the Wall, directed by Engineers and professionals of course.

    • JohnAZ June 25, 2019 at 12:34 am #

The job of the militia and the national military is to protect America from all enemies, foreign and domestic. Why the Marines are not guarding the border is a mystery?

The military trains foreign countries to defend themselves, they build infrastructure overseas, they stop foreign powers from coming here, they give up two to twenty or more years of their lives in service to this country.

Of course, Auburn, America haters like you cannot comprehend this.

      • Janos Skorenzy June 25, 2019 at 3:11 am #

It’s against the Law for the Military to protect our borders. That’s up to the border patrol who can’t handle it and have to take in asylum seekers in any case – those worms so loved by the Left.

But as Aquinas said, A Law that is against Natural Law is no Law at all and is meant to be broken.

          Good morning, Janos.

          Right in there with you.

The bigger the military gets, the less safe we are. It is insane to spend 1.25 Trillion a year so we can kill and threaten people all over the world. Using depleted Uranium weapons is a war crime that never goes away because cancers and birth defects will never stop happening.

How does provoking Russia, Iran, China, and Venezuela on a daily basis make me safe?

Russia spends only 60 Billion a year and now the military wants many more billions to counter their superior weaponry.

The MIC is a cancer that keeps growing and promises to kill us all.

          • dorn June 25, 2019 at 4:48 pm #

Up until 1947, it was the Department of War, headed up by the Secretary of War. In Duck Soup, Groucho gave that job to Chico.

Your diatribe against folks putting their lives on the line FOR YOU is disgusting. You do not deserve an answer and thus no one is offered.

  53. FincaInTheMountains June 25, 2019 at 12:31 am #

    Hey, everyone. No more freebies.

How about a two to four year service commitment by every youth in the military, Peace Corps or a latter day VISTA. You earn your salary and earn your education. Yeah, like the GI Bill.

Not necessarily military – it could be a civil service.

For instance, in the USSR every college graduate received a mandatory assignment to some place of work – a young doctor could be sent to some rural clinic, for example.

It usually was for 3 years, during which the graduate received a normal compensation for his/her work. After 3 years, you are free to look for any job you like.

    • JohnAZ June 25, 2019 at 12:38 am #

      Finca

      You are describing VISTA.

Volunteers in Service to America. A domestic equivalent to the Peace Corps.

Both created by the JFK administration.

The Peace Corps, service to others in foreign lands. What a concept.

And all service folks make significantly less than their civilian counterparts.

    Regarding Libya’s Tragedy

Libya is the second after the collapse of the USSR example of the fundamental weakness of a secular welfare state.

Libya finally proved that in conditions of “developed socialism” (and in Libya it was probably even more developed than in the USSR), when people forget what the struggle for existence is and they don’t have a real spiritual life they turn out to be defenseless against the spread of pseudo-religious sects and information manipulations from outside.

They cease to perceive the homeland as a common home and begin to consider it a feeding trough, and citizens as competitors who need to be driven away from this feeding trough.

They forget what solidarity is and stop appreciating what they have.

    And they lose everything.

And pseudo religions cannot replace real spiritual life. I’m sure that if Gaddafi tried to find mutual understanding with the Sufi orders of the Summania and Tajiks Misurata to oppose Benghazi’s Salafis and sinusitis, instead of imposing his “green book” on the fellow citizens, then no one would even try to organize an orange revolution in Libya.

Likewise, I am sure that if in the 80s the 5th Main Directorate of the KGB, instead of introducing schisms and heresies into Orthodoxy, adapting it for its privatization games, would simply fulfill its official duties, even if determined by an atheistic state, then in the early 1990s, the Church could effectively counter the final demoralization of Soviet citizens.

Meanwhile, it was this demoralization during unprecedented social and economic reforms that led to abnormal mortality in the 1990s, to a decline in the birth rate, and to rampant banditry, and to the antagonistic confrontation of “creative class” with the rest of society, which today threatens to destroy all achievements of the Russian state over the past 30 years.

After all, a person is an animal that cannot go to die for the sake of saving the Motherland, if the Motherland cannot offer him anything other than satiety and a book of red, brown or green color.

    • Ol' Scratch June 25, 2019 at 11:04 am #

Ideally, the “motherland” does not go about asking its citizens to die for “its sake,” all the time either. And satiety should include more than a full check book of whatever color as well. The ideal government should feel like no government at all, while still keeping the rascals among us relatively in check. A difficult balance to maintain, for sure; but the good ones at least make an effort to do so.

“reparations for gay and lesbian couples”? Good grief.

To paraphrase Little Stevie Wonder, reparations ain’t the way.

    • Ol' Scratch June 25, 2019 at 10:19 am #

      More like separations, maybe?

      • S M Tenneshaw June 25, 2019 at 11:44 am #

Nah, I’d rather keep the United States united.

        • Janos Skorenzy June 25, 2019 at 1:40 pm #

Yeah the idea of Whites being prosperous and happy by themselves is simply unbearable to you people.

          • S M Tenneshaw June 25, 2019 at 1:46 pm #

Get real. Whites who want to separate physically can do so now. We don’t need another civil war.

          • Janos Skorenzy June 27, 2019 at 5:39 pm #

So why are they bringing massive numbers of 3rd World immigrants into the last remaining White areas and States?

Do you believe that we can supply our energy needs with biological batteries grown by viruses? Sounds rather difficult to scale up. I’m not sure that I buy it…

    Just a Tuesday morning thought.

If we have taken a position that Palestine needs a two nation solution, that there needs to be a Palestine for the Arabs and an Israel for the Jews, are we not admitting that the USA is an impossibility, that people with difference religions or ethos cannot live under the same rule of law culture . Shouldn’t we be negotiating a political peace treaty to separate into a Caucasian States of America, a Black States of America, a Latin States of America, an Asian States of America and of course Americastan. Their will be a lottery to say who gets which states and the loser gets California.

Hmmm, I believe I remember who championed the idea of the two state solution and they all belong to the USA. Maybe a forecast of what they wanted for the USA. Now who could possibly want that?

    • Ol' Scratch June 25, 2019 at 10:18 am #

Their will be a lottery to say who gets which states and the loser gets California.

LOL! That’s a good one, JAZ.

    • SoftStarLight June 25, 2019 at 11:34 am #

Of course we should be negotiating a peaceful separation. I have been advocating this for a while. That is if Whites refuse to use their current majority to take the entire country which clearly that’s not happening. OMG a Caucasian States of America. What a friggin dream!!!! That would be like an answered prayer for sure.

The problem with this idea is that the Left is incapable of “live and let live.” They preach diversity but absolutely won’t tolerate ideological differences.

      As for the Palestinians…

What the Palestinians need is birth control. They’ve received tens of billions of dollars in aid. So far, what they seem really good at is converting other people’s wealth into more Palestinians. If the overcrowded shithole world they’ve made for themselves is any indicator, we’re far better off keeping the status quo.

      • Majella June 25, 2019 at 8:55 pm #

Exscotticus – you make pronouncements on ‘the Left’ as if we’re all the rabid tweet-storming college professors that trigger you so easily.

Once again, the vast majority of ‘the Left’ simply want fairness, not ‘freebies’, and we want that fairness for you too, JohnAZ.

Also, we do ‘tolerate ideological differences’ – witness how many common-sense, intelligent, eloquent ‘Leftists’ continue to comment here, despite the repulsive racism and incoherent rage your ‘side’ is constantly expressing against anyone not in your racial/ideological tent. Who’s intolerant, exactly?

As to your disrespect for Palestinians (quite possibly the most put-upon, exploited & least regarded player in the Middle East), it’s just shameful.

However much the Palestinians may have received in US Aid, it pales in comparison when held up against the blank cheques the USG writes for Israel year after year, including supplying it with weapons with which to regularly slam the CONCENTRATION CAMP that is the Gaza Strip.

        • Exscotticus June 25, 2019 at 10:17 pm #

          >>> Once again, the vast majority of ‘the Left’ simply want fairness, not ‘freebies’

The Left’s idea of “fairness” is equal outcomes. Hence all Lefty leaders advocate wealth redistribution schemes. Your Dem leaders are falling over each other promising open borders and reparations.

          >>> witness how many common-sense, intelligent, eloquent ‘Leftists’ continue to comment here

          Can’t. Stop. Laughing.

          >>> As to your disrespect for Palestinians… it’s just shameful.

This must be the part where you demonstrate your “tolerance” for opposing viewpoints.

          >>> slam the CONCENTRATION CAMP that is the Gaza Strip

I didn’t realize concentration camp prisoners have access to bombs and missiles. Tell us more!

          • Majella June 25, 2019 at 11:42 pm #

Clearly, your reading skills require more honing.

“If the overcrowded shithole world they’ve made for themselves is any indicator, we’re far better off keeping the status quo.”

That isn’t an ‘opposing view’, that’s a slanderous distortion – how’d it get to be a shit-hole? It wasn’t one in 1947. If your community was starved of resources and constantly bombed by your well-heeled neighbor with a rich sugar-daddy supplying him, you’d be living in a shit-hole too – of your own making, apparently.

You & your cohort are just so freaking ANGRY all the time…it must be really exhausting, being constantly triggered and having to believe the unbelievable things you profess at the same time. How do you cope?

          • Exscotticus June 26, 2019 at 12:19 am #

            >>> how’d it get to be a shit-hole?

Gaza has been under de jure Palestinian control since 1994. No one forces them to breed like barnyard animals. No one forces them to engage in fruitless terrorism.

Under a different people, a different culture, and a different leadership, Gaza could be like Beirut once was: “The Paris Of The Middle East”.

But leave it to a liberal apologist to blame everyone but the Palestinians for their own actions. Next up: Trump is to blame for drowning immigrants.
