Things are shaking loose. Secrets are flying out of black boxes. Shots have been fired. The center is not holding because the center is no longer there, only a black hole where the center used to be, and, within it, the shriekings of lost souls. Will the United States go missing this week, or fight its way out of the chaos and darkness?

Whatever occurs in this strange week of confrontation, Joe Biden will not be leading any part of it. Where has he been since Christmas? Back to hiding in the basement? Did the American people elect a ghost? Even if this storm blows over, could Joe Biden possibly claim any legitimacy in the Oval Office? And then what happens with the rest of the story — which is an epic economic convulsion sharper than the Great Depression — as time is unsuspended and the year 2021 actually unspools?

Only the bare outlines of this week’s fateful game are visible. Mr. Trump has not conceded the election. An action will play out in congress under rarely-used constitutional rules as to how the electoral college votes are awarded to whom. The rancor around this action is already epic. Few of the political players are beyond suspicion of dark deals and shifty allegiances. Persistent rumor has the president laying out a royal flush of deadly information about his antagonists, enough to make heads explode among the formerly cocksure and vaporize the narrative they’ve been running for four years.

A whole lot of people are converging in the nation’s capital at midweek, maybe even the touted million. It is a moment, possibly, not unlike the Bastille in Paris, 1789. They will be clamoring right outside Congress as the electoral vote ceremony proceeds. If the battle is not joined in the chamber, it’s a little hard to believe the crowd will just heave a million sighs, trudge back to their cars, and drive quietly home.

Senator Ted Cruz has come up with a pretty sound plan: a ten-day emergency audit of the balloting with an electoral commission consisting of five Senators, five House Members, and five Supreme Court Justices — to consider and resolve the disputed returns. The proposal is based on the 1877 procedure for resolving the contested Hayes-Tilden election. “Once completed, individual states would evaluate the Commission’s findings and could convene a special legislative session to certify a change in their vote, if needed,” the proposal stated. Naturally, the Democratic Party’s news media handmaidens denounced it as “embarrassing” — which raises the question: who exactly will be embarrassed if the plan goes ahead?

On Sunday, Mr. Trump had a telephone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, ostensibly to discuss efforts made by his office to authenticate the validity of the Nov. 3rd balloting in that state. This is being portrayed by The WashPo, The New York Times, and the rest of the gang as a virtual replay of the Ukraine phone call that eventuated in the 2019 impeachment.  Consider that the notorious Ukraine phone call was an attempt to inquire about the influence-peddling of Hunter Biden at the time when his father was vice-president. Does anyone doubt now, a year-and-a-half later, with the release of Hunter B’s laptop evidence, that there was some legitimate concern there? Might anyone suspect that there is also some genuine concern about the Georgia balloting — and Mr. Raffensperger’s failure to audit the vote? Did Mr. Raffensperger stupidly walk into a trap in that phone call? I doubt that the call was casual or impulsive on the president’s part.

What I wonder, given the eerie silence at Joe Biden’s end of things, is whether there is some negotiation underway for Mr. Biden to concede the election before events move forward into official inquiries. I wouldn’t be hugely surprised if that is the case. A US election has never concluded under such an enormous cloud, and with such a show of weakness by the putative winner. Joe Biden is but a ghost in the machine, and the machine is infernally corrupt, and now just about everybody knows it, including the figures fighting so hard to pretend that it isn’t so. Something like a war is underway both within the USA and from without. Mr. Trump is a war president and he’s not shirking his duty. War goes where it will and a genuine leader goes out to meet it where it comes.

Helm, it is obvious that your ignorance has been offended by JHKs insight. You are making the classic mistake of believing the image the fake news has created of Trump and you are underestimating him.

I just signed up a few days ago to be here. It’s distressing to see the trolls have infested here as well. And I thought JHK’s little place would be a quieter & mellower place than ZeroHedge. Bzzzt, wrong!

As Jim writes, perilous days ahead. We should all stay focused.

        • kendar667 January 5, 2021 at 10:17 am #

Perhaps Jim should consider a Disqus type of commenting platform. Not everyone would love it but at least you can block trolls, and overall it makes for a much better experience.

Like you, I am fed up with the Soros/CCP troll army, it gets tiresome wading through the comment pollution. Zerohedge is basically unreadable at this point and I’m relegated to sites like the Pundit which are a bit cursory in approach.

          • draupnir January 6, 2021 at 9:02 pm #

That, of course, is the entire point of the exercise, to drive posters away.

Helm, you are a rude person. You could easily have just made your point regarding your opinion of President Trump’s style and personality. But that was not enough for you; you felt compelled to hurl JHK a puerile ad hominem attack at our host, JHK. Although you really deserve to be banned, perhaps it’s more fitting that you simply be ignored. Get some manners.

I sincerely do not mean to hijack this thread, but after what happened today when “some protestors” (?) stormed the Capital as Pence was overseeing the reading of the states electoral college votes (?), shit hit the proverbial fan and a Trump supporter, who happened to be a 13 year veteran, mother and wife was killed inside the rotunda.

I can’t help but wonder if she will be immortalized as much as George Floyd was??

I am not on Twitter or Facebook and at such a time as this I could only imagine coming here to see what others here are thinking tonight.

And we will find out Friday what our host made of the doings of today.

Until the unlimited credit, which is effectively the same thing as our currency, is taken away from the federal congress, no substantive change will occur regardless of who sits in the position of President.

The only meaningful change will be what entities get first crack at the newly created credit. To see a meaningful change towards liberty for the individual, that unlimited credit needs to be taken away. That’s only going to happen when entities with the necessary power come to the aid of individuals, who happen to be the States. However, they were neutered with the 17th Amendment.

The book “1913: From General to Specific Welfare” gives a great explanation of the issues involved.

    • bluekayak January 4, 2021 at 9:35 am #

That, and the de facto “reserve currency” status of the petrodollar needs to go before congress stops kiting checks. The outcome is that the USA becomes Brazil with crappier weather and much less attractive women.

      • benr January 4, 2021 at 10:05 am #

I’m going to go out on a limb and say you have never actually been to Brazil.
No argument there are some stunning women but it lacks a certain variety compared to the United States.
Fact is you have these great bodies and then get a gander at the face and the narrative falls apart.
Large teeth syndrome is what I called it or bull dog face.
While we are at it you expect on the beaches to be covered in scantily clad women but for the time I was there the women all wore wraps and the European men all wore banana hammocks and there were a lot more men than women.
The other thing in large supply are kids running around in gangs mugging people.

        • bluekayak January 4, 2021 at 10:18 am #

No need to go out on a limb, benr, I readily admit never having travelled to the land of “Ordem e Progresso”. My off-handed comment stems from a very few anecdotal encounters, one of which involved a stunning teutonic type from the deep south of the country. USA does have most places beat on variety.

Kudos gents, you are correct: Indians have bigger teeth then we do, sometimes it’s like something out of a Crumb cartoon. I mean who would care, except if one had already been drawn in by other attributes?

And yes, the Brazilian South is by far the Whitest and most prosperous part of the country. If one didn’t know better, one would ascribe some causal connection between the two facts. Since we know that race isn’t real, perhaps prosperous conditions turns people into Caucasians?

    • shotho January 4, 2021 at 2:15 pm #

1913 was indeed the beginning of the end of constitutional government. Woodrow Wilson took power along with his expansion of government through the Federal Reserve and income tax enactments. There wasn’t much more needed to set up a statist regime, which is exactly what FDR, LBJ, Nixon, Bush 2 and Obama proceeded to do. And, during all this time, no ‘conservative’ president or congress did anything to roll it back.

      • Uncle Bob January 4, 2021 at 11:07 pm #

IMO, Kennedy tried to govern in a way to help the American people, and ended up at Parkland Hospital. Reagan tried to help them, too, and ended up having to back down due to Iran-Contra. Trump has helped the American people more than the others, again imo, and look at the abuse he’s taken every day for going on five years: the media, their subordinates in the Socialist Democrat party, the Republican Establishment, foreign governments, even the Federal government itself. I have to think it’s like hearing a bunch of gigantic bells ringing whenever he walks anywhere, just from the size of his gigantic nickel steel balls clanging. And if he’s ejected from office on 1/20/21, yes, things may go back to “normal” — we’ll have crooked, senile Joe and mattress back Kamala and a bunch of corrupt Establishment types back in charge, to the relief of Russia, China, both major US political parties, banksters, bureaucrats, the mass media, and the financiers who’d sooner screw you out of your life savings than they’d want to screw [your fantasy hottie]. And we as a people are so goddamn stupid and greedy that about half of us think this is a good thing.

BTW, I have a vulgar new nickname for the apparent incoming Biden-Harris (or Harris-Biden) administration, based on their primary characteristics: The Coot and the Cooter. Feel free to use it liberally and often — God knows, Willie Brown sure did!

        • bluedog January 5, 2021 at 8:54 pm #

Hell Reagan was the one to make an end run on congress when they cut off the funds to the contra’s and ushered in the guns for drugs run out of MENA Arkansas, drugs that ended up on the streets of America, so they could play their games, get use to it its nothing but divide and conquer, and you’re playing the game very well, !!

          • Uncle Bob January 6, 2021 at 10:41 pm #

Mena, the CIA hub that kept Bubba in slush funds and his brother in cocaine? That Mena? That was largely the Deep State setting up Reagan in case they needed to bring him to heel. After he was gone, the RNC promised the Democrats and the money men they’d never allow somebody from outside the club to get the nomination and threaten their uniparty gameplaying. Then came 2016.

If we’re criticizing dead presidents who tried but failed to free America from its shackles, should I mention the Bay of Pigs fiasco, and allowing the CIA to edge us further into the former French Indochina?

            Your turn.

      • bluedog January 5, 2021 at 8:48 pm #

Indeed and don’t forget St. Ronnie one of the worst to ever grace the Oval Office. First it was to break the unions, so they could outsource all the jobs, good-bye middle class, then it was to destroy a health care system that had worked very well beginning at the end of WW 2,the jack ass brayed everything should make a profit now 74% of bankruptcies are due to medical bills, and then it was on to let their buddies loot the vested pension plans to usher in the 401k system.Well I’m sure you get the drift if you don’t ask someone else.!!!

        • Uncle Bob January 6, 2021 at 10:51 pm #

PATCO violated federal civil service law and the terms of their contract by striking. That, as the law says, is essentially the same as quitting their jobs. He accepted their resignations and moved on. Ruthless? Maybe. But that’s the law, and he was dealing with assholes who thought they could push around a former union president.

Full disclosure: My Daddy was a Teamsters steward, and I’m a member of the AFL-CIO. Don’t give me shit about unions.

You bitch about the cost of medical service being so bad that it bankrupt people. The costs are high, and as JHK has written, its a racket. I have stories about hospitals milking the hell out of both my insurance and me with multiple procedures that could’ve been done in one trip, at lower cost in time and money. All of that said, patients here generally don’t have to wait as lo g as they do in many other countries, nor are they financially ass-raped by the tax man to pay for those services. I suppose the alternative, less service and higher taxes, with fewer available medical treatment options, is preferable in your opinion.

A bunch of BLM/ANTIFA thugs, or the rest of us.

    Seems like a no-brainer.

    • Rulo Deschamps January 4, 2021 at 10:08 am #

Pete, “For Congress, the question is who do you want to fight?”

All of the MSM, all of social media, much of the plutocrats & Wall St, most foreign govt’s & opinion, the Pope, the UN, a sizable chunk of US voters (we’ll never know how many, only that it wasn’t enough to win without fraud; but a sizable chunk nevertheless), Hollywood, business addicted to illegal labor, academia, China… and last & least, the thugs.

      Or the rest of us.

Odds are not good. But it sometimes happens that your team is losing 1-nil, scores in the last minute forcing additional time, holds those extra 30 minutes & forces a penalty definition, our goalie is inspired, our guys all put it in the net and we win. Those are sweet victories, the best, snatched from defeat.

Let it happen. Let our collective energy make it happen.

Senator Cotton, in an extraordinary display of “normalcy bias” thinks the electoral vote challenge sets a dangerous precedent. As if, letting it slide, allows us to return to the way things were. He thinks, he’ll need to work with the Biden administration.

This kind of thinking is pervasive in our society as this critical moment when everything is about to change, where “normal” is fading from sight in the rear view mirror.

There are no precedents, there is no “Fist Bump” diplomacy to be had. We are having our Thelma and Louise moment. Don’t look back.

I would disagree, Buk Ghost. Although I LOVE reading Jim’s original take on society and it’s ills, I’m very partial to and spend much more time perusing the comments. Although jim’s writing is original and prescient, there are some very insightful folks who comment regularly here who I always look forward to hearing from (not TDS ppl like helm of course), even those I may disagree with strongly (KDog appears to be back for more).

In any event, I would be very upset if the comment section were taken away.

So half of the country sees the obvious bullshit that took place in this election and wants something done about it.

The other half refuses to see anything in it, at any level.

Contesting an election based on allegations, affidavits and video evidence of fraud is now conflated with committing election fraud to that latter half of the population.

We watched that same half do the same damn thing for the last four years, yet now claims nothingburger in this instance. Makes sense to me. Logic is…sound…n stuff.

Let us not forget that House Democrats formally contested the electoral count in 2000, 2004 and 2016. And now the same people are saying that those who do the same now are petty, conspiracy theorists, and guilty of sedition.

    Okay. This should go…well…

Mr Mango, “The other half refuses to see anything in it, at any level”. I see it all the time! “There is no worse blind man than the one who doesn’t want to see”

But not a lot want to think for themselves. And it’s hard work to try and “see” through a wall of censorship and propaganda with few cracks in it.

A great many have been lulled into conformity by CNN & such, and their attention has moved away from the election weeks ago.

Fait accompli, they say. Heads will explode, JHK says. I hope JHK calls it right, but it’s a long shot.

      • MrMangoOnMyShoulder January 4, 2021 at 10:54 am #

“A great many have been lulled into conformity by CNN & such, ***and their attention has moved away from the election weeks ago.***”

That’s the real catch there. People have no attention span. They tire of controversies, especially when they involve paperwork, affidavits, legalese other “boring” details…no matter how much they may actually affect them.

As soon as Biden declared his victory (after saying he wouldn’t until certified by the electors), the whole story went right back to Covid, which no one seemed to really care about in the few months before the election. Funny how that works…

        • Yohannon January 4, 2021 at 1:10 pm #

Yes, exactly. But they don’t tire when it comes to baseball stats, or knowing every single player in the NFL.

Hierarchy. They shouldn’t be allowed to vote. They would fail any test given as to competency. So – such tests should be given.

Let’s enjoy a little irony here:

          Mr.Mango

The people who are trustfully standing in line to receive the Phizer/Moderna mRNA vaccines that will alter their cellular DNA are for the most part the same ones who believe that a dirty cloth face diaper is the one thing that is protecting them until they receive the Cure. And they are the same ones who believe that the measure of Democracy is whether their preferred candidate is victorious by any means necessary.

One of the potential long term accidental results of the USA mRNA gene alteration scheme is that it will result in females being unable to form placental tissue and thus become sterile for life. Wouldn’t it be ironic if the final cure for Wokesterism and Neoliberialism were for all of the Demonrat and Repugnant true believers to simply die off due to reproductive failure!

Has anyone else noticed that during his public appearances Bill Gates looks more and more like he is auditioning for the role as Mad Scientist in some horror movie?

          • ThorsHammer January 4, 2021 at 4:04 pm #

The role Gates seems to be auditioning for is the reclusive scientist in Frank Herbert’s brilliant and little known “The White Plague.”

Thanks for highligting the fact that it ain’t a vaccine – it’s a genetic modification. One of the few laughs to be had out of the China Flu hysteria is offering friends a meal and telling them that it contains GM ingredients. When they give their usual shriek of horror and call me a murderer, I ask them if they are happy with their GM vaccine. And these are intelligent people.

          • mccobb January 4, 2021 at 7:39 pm #

Sorry, but this conspiracy theory that mRNA vaccines alter cellular DNA is BS. I know this because I’ve researched many articles, videos, and medical journals to understand how the SARS-CoV-2 virus works.

A cell’s DNA stays in its nucleus. The nucleus sends messenger RNA to the Ribosome to synthesize proteins. The Ribosome is fooled by the virus’ RNA and transcribes as many as a million virus particle copies that bud out of the cell. The mRNA, or messenger RNA, vaccine instructs the Ribosome to transcribe antigens that fight the virus.

It’s new, don’t take it. Don’t wear a dirty diaper across your face. Go to bars. Kill granny. She’ll agree with you. And you may get her house after she dies.

Addiction to “the tube”. Such addiction can be overcome. The first step is to realize it as an addiction. The next is to turn it off. Cold-turkey or conscious weaning is in order. Read. Research. Seek out opposing opinion and apply critical thinking skills.

So difficult for many to do. ATTV =. Addiction to TV. It is the feeding of a one-way stream of information into the brain/thought process of the viewer. Thought insertion is another term which could be applied.

Let’s not forget that this is not partisan, but I know, you’re either with Trump the hero or the deep state swamp. Let the games begin, 2 days for DC Mayhem. We’ll see how well our institutions can handle a mob of 1 million. In theory, 1 million angry people even have the power to overthrow legal elections, and if we have to shoot them, that’ll just add to the conviction that the government is our enemy. Could Russia or China do any better than Trump in dividing us all?
      https://www.romney.senate.gov/romney-statement-certification-presidential-election-results
“The egregious ploy to reject electors may enhance the political ambition of some, but dangerously threatens our Democratic Republic. The congressional power to reject electors is reserved for the most extreme and unusual circumstances. These are far from it. More Americans participated in this election than ever before, and they made their choice. President Trump’s lawyers made their case before scores of courts; in every instance, they failed. The Justice Department found no evidence of irregularity sufficient to overturn the election. The Presidential Voter Fraud Commission disbanded without finding such evidence.

“My fellow Senator Ted Cruz and the co-signers of his statement argue that rejection of electors or an election audit directed by Congress would restore trust in the election. Nonsense. This argument ignores the widely perceived reality that Congress is an overwhelmingly partisan body; the American people wisely place greater trust in the federal courts where judges serve for life. Members of Congress who would substitute their own partisan judgement for that of the courts do not enhance public trust, they imperil it.

“Were Congress to actually reject state electors, partisans would inevitably demand the same any time their candidate had lost. Congress, not voters in the respective states, would choose our presidents.

“Adding to this ill-conceived endeavor by some in Congress is the President’s call for his supporters to come to the Capitol on the day when this matter is to be debated and decided. This has the predictable potential to lead to disruption, and worse.

“I could never have imagined seeing these things in the greatest democracy in the world. Has ambition so eclipsed principle?”

Cruz’s plan insures business as usual or a Biden victory. The Supreme Court already revealed what kind of people they are – the kind unworthy of their position. Ditto for any other senatorial body put together chances are.

He won. And He must secure his victory. That is all. These people cannot be allowed into power. They cannot be “convinced” since they are Liars and the Truth is not in them. And as for Americas, those wo don’t know by now won’t ever “know”. They are believers. They will be told what to believe once He controls the media.

Can’t argue with your point about “choosing your own adventure”, and what feels real or not. Certainly upfront bias affects us all to some extent.

It is rather striking that the media for four years were positive there was something there when there wasn’t in RussiaGate (at least provable, as you pointed out), yet now they are positive there is nothing there when there was obviously something (at least somewhat provable…video evidence of people swapping in ballots is more than they ever had to go on with RussiaGate).

It should at least be treated similarly. But there will be no concessions if it’s regarding the wrong party, or mainly just the “wrong guy”.

The argument for a mandatory vaccine rests on protecting the public. Since this “vaccine” can’t stop anyone from getting or transmitting the virus, that argument flies out the window.

Not that facts or logic enter into the COVID 1984 hysteria.

BTW, it’s funny that Jonestown was referenced today, because I had come here intending to mention the parallels between that episode and this vaccine push.

Dr. Fauci, who is a known fraud and quack, is now calling for a central government to allow someone, probably him, to order things like this vaccine, and he is saying that children will have to have it too.

Some of the mothers at Jonestown resisted having their babies dosed with the cyanide-laced Flavor Aid, but it was much to late.
Men with guns saw to that.

Men with guns (the military) are involved in the distribution of this pseudo-vaccine.
Dr. Fauci, addled octogenarian, and Health Dictator For Life, is of course the Jim Jones figure.

I’m not sure what role Dr. Scott Atlas played, maybe one of the Congressmen who went down to Guyana to see what was going on.

The people had plenty of warning that Jim Jones was dangerous, but most ignored the signs.

        Taki mag—this week,
Which brings us to Dr. Kizzmekia “Kizzy” Corbett, or “Dr. Kizzy,” as she likes to be called. Dr. Kizzy is an immunologist with the National Institutes of Health, and this year she’s been part of the team working on a vaccine for Covid.

More specifically, she’s been involved with the vaccine being developed by Moderna (as opposed to the Pfizer one that came out first).

And boy, do all the right people want you to believe that Kizzy is the Covid savior.

“Dr. Fauci wants people to know that one of the lead scientists who developed the Covid-19 vaccine is a Black woman,”
        screamed CNN.

“Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett—Why You Should Know Her Name” read the Yahoo News headline. “History books will celebrate the name and achievements of Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett, the Black Woman who was the leader in developing the COVID-19 vaccine,” bleated Barbara Arnwine, president of a tumorous waste of space known as the Transformative Justice Coalition. And the National Newspaper Publishers Association wire service proclaimed, “A Black woman, Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett, developed the scientific approach to the Coronavirus vaccine.

Are you kidding? I adore the guys. There’s nothing like having a drag queen do your makeup and hair. A place I sold pull tabs at, in my checkered career, had a drag show every week, so I got to know a large number of the local community, at least those with a tendency to spend time in bars. They’re great fun to go shopping with and do lunch with. They’re lewd and witty and tell the best jokes. They’re mostly kind. The women are of an entirely darker and more frightening nature. They have issues I don’t really understand, are overly aggressive and have a tendency to steal money from a purse. I don’t believe either gays or lesbians belong in politics. I am not a fan of women in that field either, though I am a woman. Refer to Kipling’s poem, The Female of the Species, if you’re interested in the why of it.

Did anyone see Times Square on TV this New Year’s Eve? Oh, the flashing light show, the crowd noises without the crowd, police buses blocking access and over 100 police standing in formation like storm troopers ready to chase away any revelers if they dared to show up. Superimposed over this, Frank Sinatra cheerfully belting out a rendition of “New York, New York”.

Yeah baby, that was some good time in Times Square!

Am I the only one who thinks we live in a bizarro land dystopia?

“Joe Biden is but a ghost in the machine, and the machine is infernally corrupt, and now just about everybody knows it, including the figures fighting so hard to pretend that it isn’t so.”

    This is genuine “wokeness”.

Coming to terms with the deep-seated and deeply hidden American corruption.

From the mundane to the monumental.

Having lived outside the US in various places, and being able to look back from a different perspective with a different lens, I was able to see it all too clearly.

Americans take affront at having to “bribe” a policeman or other bureaucratic functionary, but how much cheaper and easier it is than paying the institutionalized graft that we accept as codified procedure in the US.

You could slip a cop a $10 note or you can pay the US court costs. The fees, the points, the lawyers the judges. The bribe/fine ensures everyone’s cut. Need to get those points down, hire an attorney to say “no-contest”. Pay the fee. Hundreds of dollars and many hours later you are absolved. Sort of. You’re left feeling like you did things the right way, even while getting robbed in the process. For going 50 in a 35 no less. That’s the insidiousness of the whole affair.

The US also likes to play a charade with its deep state operations. The entrenched bureaucratic and military hierarchy that consume and grow at all cost. No president is going to get in the way of that, particularly the espionage/war/offense department.
    Banana republic? Who? Us?

Its bellicosity, its bullying, its patrician class composed of lifelong politicians paid to stay in office by the monied and corporate interests that keep them there. Term after term after term.

But you get to vote, right? That is the theater portion again. Makes everything appear above board. Makes you feel like you have a say.
It is all in the ritual.

Like the artful Toki Highball. Chill. Clear ice. stir counter-clockwise 3 times. No more.

    It feels better that way.
    Ritual.
    It feels authenticated.

    • hmuller January 4, 2021 at 12:11 pm #

If the year’s stolen election is allowed to stand, I will never vote again. I refuse to give my validation to a system of blatant fraud.

All you disingenuous, snarky trolls (helm, jeremystoltzfus, cookie Aguilara, bebo, et al.) think you’ve won. But when you make a fraudulent mockery of the ballot box for all to see, you invite bullets to settle matters.

      • lateStarter January 4, 2021 at 12:27 pm #

I’d just like to say that even though I am not a big fan of Trump and I detest the republican party in general, the last four
years of dem obstruction and nonsensical pursuit of the Orange one has totally turned me against the dem party. I realize the
rot goes much deeper (the more I learn about Obama and the Clintons, the sicker I get).I have never voted for anyone and just
tended to consider myself an interested observer.

But seriously. The last four years have been beyond bizarre. And now with obvious election irregularities (I am being kind here)
the American public is being encouraged to just move along, nothing to see here. We (dems) are the good guys (and gals) you can trust us.

        I think the dems just overplayed their hand. They would not have needed to if they just ran an electable opponent, but they did not;

From Orlov: But it all worked out thanks to the wonderful US public education system. It has produced several generations of Americans who can barely count on their fingers and toes. Were they able to do basic arithmetic, they would have spotted the problem: 74 million votes for Trump plus 81 million votes for Biden gives us 155 million votes total. But there were only 153 million registered voters just two years ago, so that’s 101% voter turn-out. And then 160 million are said to have voted, so that’s 104.5% turn-out! Compare that to 55.7% turn-out in the 2016 election. There is no way to make the numbers make any sense. Since 2016 the US population grew by justunder 8 million. Optimistically assuming half of them became eligible to vote; that would add 4 million to the rolls. Optimistically assuming all of them actually registered to vote, that would only make 157 million. Accept the reported stunning voter turn-out number for 2020 of 66.7%. That’s just under 105 million votes total—nowhere near then 160 million number that has been reported. If Trump got 74 million votes, as reported, then just 31 million votes would be the theoretical maximum for Biden—less then half as many as for
        Trump.

Votes should be hand counted. Anything else is just asking for trouble.

        • 100th Avatar January 4, 2021 at 1:17 pm #

          And who does the counting?

          • lateStarter January 4, 2021 at 1:26 pm #

Of course, but there are ways of getting in done. Other countries seem to be able to do it although it is getting more difficult. Electronic voting/counting is just asking for manipulation.

If that be the case future voting will most likely be done by mailed fist.

  18. JohnAZ January 4, 2021 at 11:18 am #

    Why the split?

Why are the two political entities in this country so far apart? Progressives vs. Right wingers, no moderates to be found that matter. Why?

    Here is a stab.

We have two groups of people in the US today.

The first are old school Americans, focused on a credo that is from the 20th century. Culturally, European in nature, White, accepting all comers that want to share in that vision. They are aggressive, entrepreneurial, individualistic freedom lovers who want no part of the government in their lives.

The second group have developed from two sources. Kids that have never had to feel any sort of collective responsibility or service to community at all. A big chunk have been exposed to an education system that is leaning far Left. The second group are Latin immigrants, both legal and illegal. They are ALL from socialistic countries and expect the government to support them when bad economies do not. These two are the Gimmes. They feel that the government’s function is to take care of them. Used to say, cradle to grave.

Actually, there is a third group that joins the Gimmes. These are the Deep State Elite that make their living suckering people from the second group primarily but some from the first. This group is out for one thing, maintaining their power base and the sanctity of the Deep State. Their result is the biggest con game in human history.

I have been observing the fiasco called election 2020. My feeling is that due to the success of group three, the second group has flowered in population in the country. Open borders and the Marxist takeover of liberal arts education in the country have changed the demographics of the country. The first group has spread itself widely across the country. The second group are in the cities. Georgia is a good examples as it’s polity is in the process of changing from group one to group two. Atlanta has been the focus of the Liberalization of the South. Fulton county now sets the vote in Georgia. Another urban state, North Carolina, is very close to flipping. Heck, where I live, Phoenix is doing the same.

Urban vs. everyone else. Due to Deep State control and policies, the country is flipping to a socialistic, Gimme State, government control model as group two becomes the dominant thread of society armed by group three. Biden’s potential win will cement in the ascent of group two and three. The fight to show this election was corrupted is just the beginning. Trump sees the ascent of the socialists as the beginning of the end of group one. He is fighting a losing battle against a demographic shift in the country.

I believe Ted Cruz’s election assessment is a good move. Either this election was phony and corrupted or it isn’t. We are at a threshold of change, basic change, in the country. If the third group cheated to win, it is vital to show it. If not, it is vital to show how the country has changed and what to expect of the future.

If you are group one or group two, your reaction to this election is different. If it was bought by a group of crooks, that is one thing. If it is legit, that is another. Both sides need reality to make decisions of what to do next.

Lincoln won in 1860, and the South said they were out of here. Biden wins in 2020 and group one may be outa here.

New story here, urban gun sales are surging. Hmmm!

Not directly disagreeing with you, but I think you left out the female vs. male aspect to all of this. Majority of Women vote for the Gimme stuff, and the majority of men vote to be left alone. @feralandroid

Good observation on the female vs male angle. Men create most resources. Women use their wiles to gather those resources from the men. It’s how nature designed the ladies. They are instinctively nest builders. They are hard wired for it. They will always vote for “gimmes” at far higher rates than the men. This is why female enfranchisement was the stupidest thing America ever did. Women should not vote, period. That’s what the family unit is for. The man votes for the best interests of himself, his wife, and his children. In this way the interests of all are served, but rationality continues to rule the day.

Sorry, ladies, but you know I’m right on this. Only about 1/3 of female voters can exercise enough self-restraint on their female nature to allow themselves to vote on the basis of logic, reason, and facts instead of out of emotion, sympathy, empathy, pity, and a host of other touchy-feely feelings. Maggie Thatcher knew this well. She was the exception that proves the rule.

OK. Let the purses and rolling pins fly!!!

        • Yohannon January 5, 2021 at 12:06 pm #

          Agree. Men build, Women decorate.

Take care of men (get out of their way for the most part) and men will take care of women.

Take of women and men will die under bridges. The sexes are simply not equal in this regard. And women have no interest in men who earn less than they. So once put above men, they will abide alone.

Most of those individuals, like the Cubans, came here to get away from socialism. They do not bring it with them, quite the contrary.

These caravans are comprised of people dependent on their governments for a living, and the failure of these governments to provide economically for them makes them move here. They believe that the USA is economic Disneyland that will give them jobs and make them rich, in their eyes.

BTW, our economy contraction may put us in the same situation, where are we going to go? News story said that Dreamers are heading back to Mexico because of little opportunity in the US. A portend of things to come.

I am not aware of banana republics of the South America being generous with government hand outs. I think of them as housing very small, extremely rich elite, hardly middle class to speak of and vast majority of dirt poor that nobody gives fuck about. Current “generosity” of the US government is just a transitional tool until we reach “banana status”, like the one that you are hinting at the end of the reply.
Calling current slobs “Left” or is an insult to real left from American distant past who were clubbed, maimed or killed on the streets so we can go out of town on Saturdays and Sundays, since they are no work days for many. That past is conveniently
buried for prevailing ideological reasons and, oddly, accepted as non existent buy the working class of the country.
Or, God forbid, “antifa”. An insult, again, to fighters on Barcelona streets in 1936 or resistance fighters in WWII Europe (who happen to be mostly commies).
Aaaah that. Typical deflated response. that I get, even though I could care less other than stating facts.

          • Rulo Deschamps January 4, 2021 at 6:17 pm #

            Svrzo,
besides Cuba, I think right now only Venezuela and Nicaragua are full Socialist nightmares. So obviously many of those immigrants supported Trump, I mean the ones who have become US citizens and can vote. Many other Latin American immigrants have also experienced different forms of socialism in their countries over the years, and so detest it and vote against it. True, still others, the most ignorant and “gimme” types go Democrat, as part of their ethnic plantation. But you’d be surprised how many of us legal, hardworking and educated immigrants supported Mr Trump. Hell, other years I voted Libertarian.

“I am not aware of banana republics of the South America being generous with government hand outs. I think of them as housing very small, extremely rich elite, hardly middle class to speak of and vast majority of dirt poor that nobody gives fuck about.” Well, you’re right in some cases: the tiny Central American republics and some S American very poor and backward countries like Bolivia or Paraguay. Other South American nations historically have had strong middle classes, albeit now under much pressure: Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, and to a lesser degree, Chile and Colombia.

And the only way the feral classes in those countries get under some sort of control is by massive handouts. Everyone on the dole, paid for by the long-suffering and shrinking middle classes.

Aside from misery inflicted to its citizens, Eastern block countries in Europe still did convey some sense of order or normalcy with exception of Romania and Albania. As I mentioned way above they did provide superb education to most of it’s people and after the rough tumble in 80’s and 90’s those became true marketable “citizens of the world” if desired.
As for the South of border, regardless of a system we may

Exactly. But one reason I loved Leno is that the joke, not the advocacy, was the only concern. For a long time — and in an approach that was refined and popularized by Jon Stewart — the so-called joke was just a conveyance conceit. A way to highlight the political point you wanted to get across. And suddenly you had hundreds of talentless, snarky, cynical ‘comedians’ plying their politically correct and unfunny mind-pills for a stupid and credulous audience, clapping like seals for the flashing “applause” signs above them.

Not enough about this vaccination is known. Much of what is known is hidden. They don’t even know what side effects may crop up in six months time. I’ve heard scientists warn of autoimmune disease and long-term, if not irreversible, sterility in women. It wasn’t tested on pregnant women, and I haven’t heard of such animal trials. Last I heard they’d injected hundreds of pregnant women without any knowledge of effects on a fetus and encouraged obstetricians to recommend it. If you suffer a crippling autoimmune disease or long-term sterility, or if you infant is damaged, you will have no recourse at law. The government considers these acceptable risks. Do you?

What I do know about the efforts of seventeen years to make a vaccination against SARS was that they were all spectacularly unsuccessful. When the animal subjects were challenged with the wild virus they all died, every one.

It really does come down to how much you trust the pharmaceutical industry that gave us thalidomide, and how much you trust your government. Your government has decided that if you are one of those who drops dead shortly after receiving the vaccine, well, that is an acceptable risk they are willing to take. Is that acceptable to you?

      • Night Owl January 4, 2021 at 5:49 pm #

Has anyone seen any solid proof that they have even isolated the virus yet? I keep reading that it has not been isolated.

Let’s make sure we are clear… This is not a vaccine. They are using the term “vaccine” to sneak this thing under public health exemptions. This is not a vaccine.
This is mRNA packaged in a fat envelope that is delivered to a cell. It is a medical device designed to stimulate the human cell into becoming a pathogen creator. It is not a vaccine. Vaccines actually are a legally defined term under public health law; they are a legally defined term under CDC and FDA standards.[1] And the vaccine specifically has to stimulate both the immunity within the person receiving it and it also has to disrupt transmission.
And that is not what this is. They (Moderna and Pfizer) have been abundantly clear in saying that the mRNA strand that is going into the cell is not to stop the transmission, it is a treatment. But if it was discussed as a treatment, it would not get the sympathetic ear of public health authorities because then people would say, “What other treatments are there?”
The use of the term vaccine is unconscionable for both the legal definition and also it is actually the sucker punch to open and free discourse… Moderna was started as a chemotherapy company for cancer, not a vaccine manufacturer for SARSCOV2. If we said we are going to give people prophylactic chemotherapy for the cancer they don’t yet have, we’d be laughed out of the room because it’s a stupid idea. That’s exactly what this is. This is a mechanical device in the form of a very small package of technology that is being inserted into the human system to activate the cell to become a pathogen manufacturing site.
I refuse to stipulate in any conversations that this is in fact a vaccine issue. The only reason why the term is being used is to abuse the 1905 Jacobson case that has been misrepresented since it was written. And if we were honest with this, we would actually call it what it is: it is a chemical pathogen device that is actually meant to unleash a chemical pathogen production action within a cell. It is a medical device, not a drug because it meets the CDRH definition of a device. It is not a living system, it is not a biologic system, it is a physical technology – it happens to just come in the size of a molecular package.
So, we need to be really clear on making sure we don’t fall for their game. Because their game is if we talk about it as a vaccine then we are going to get into a vaccine conversation but this is not, by their own admission, a vaccine. As a result it must be clear to everyone listening that we will not fall for this failed definition just like we will not fall for their industrial chemical definition of health. Both of them are functionally flawed and are an implicit violation of the legal construct that is being exploited. I get frustrated when I hear activists and lawyers say, “we are going to fight the vaccine”. If you stipulate it’s a vaccine you’ve already lost the battle. It’s not a vaccine. It is made to make you sick.
80% of the people exposed to SARSCOV2 are asymptomatic carriers. 80% of people who get this injected into them experience a clinical adverse event. You are getting injected with a chemical substance to induce illness, not to induce an immuno-transmissive response. In other words, nothing about this is going to stop you from transmitting anything. This is about getting you sick and having your own cells be the thing that get you sick.
When the paymaster for the distribution of information happens to be the industry that’s doing the distributing, we lose. Because the only narrative is the one that will be compensated by the people writing the check. That goes for our politicians… and our media – it has been paid for – if you follow the money you realize there is no non-conflicted voice on any network.
[1] The word “vaccine” originates from the Latin Variolae vaccinae (cowpox), which Edward Jenner demonstrated in 1798 could prevent smallpox in humans. Today the term ‘vaccine’ applies to all biological preparations, produced from living organisms, that enhance immunity against disease and either prevent (prophylactic vaccines) or, in some cases, treat disease (therapeutic vaccines). “On Sunday, Mr. Trump had a telephone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, ostensibly to discuss efforts made by his office to authenticate the validity of the Nov. 3rd balloting in that state. This is being portrayed by The WashPo, The New York Times, and the rest of the gang as a virtual replay of the Ukraine phone call that eventuated in the 2019 impeachment.”

November 3, and the following elections hopefully.

This brings to mind the run-off war that was (is being) waged.

The MSM, the celebrities, the tech-titans, the billionaire oligarchs, the influencers all peddling for the Democratic candidates.

Why does this not trouble more people?

Why does advocating for, in essence, one-party rule not trouble these people, not trouble more people?

It was not long ago when the media, the artists, and large swathes of the citizenry turned a distrustful eye, a skeptical eye at the machinations of the state and of power.

In fact, in my youth, the Democratic party was often considered the party for those wary of the blue bloods seemingly holding all the levers of state, cultural, and institutional power.

    Yeah, that was naive.

But where has this sentiment gone?

It no longer exists. It was co-opted. Patronizing absurd fringe issues has that effect. Non-gendered bathrooms. Privilege education.
    Check, check.

True, the celebrities shilling in Georgia are not true artists. Despite their fondness for their “craft”. No, the artistic temperament escapes them.

I read an interview with John Lydon, AKA Johnny Rotten a few month back. He said he was voting for Trump because that is the “punk” thing to do. To resist the consolidation of power. The group think. The stasis. He lamented hegemony of the Democrats across all societal platforms.

Because it is something to be feared?

We know that the 2 party system is a formality. That the system is rigged. We know that many politicians throw up objections as a formality, to show due diligence to their constituents that expect some form of formal remonstration.

What happens when this is gone?
    And it is going.

When the mere act of objecting, showing displeasure, giving voice to dissent is surrendered as an act of formality.

When unity is replaced by uniformity?

When a half crazed British punk rocker can see what the “norms” can’t.

    That artistic vision.

    • Rulo Deschamps January 4, 2021 at 1:49 pm #

Avatar, spot on. I know some graybeard baby boomers, even some that publish columns in local papers, and they are all the biggest fans of the “intelligence community”. They also constantly celebrate themselves and their generation as the ones who spoke truth to power.

Quite the disconnect. I always felt people like Lydon and many others in the punk rock scene were the ones willing to think for themselves and question authority. And they described the previous generation to a dot: “your future dreams are a shopping scheme”, “a cheap holiday in other people’s misery”, “blind acceptance is a sign of stupid fools who stand in line”.

Another thing I notice about the boomers is how they drool over every new gizmo and tech enabled surveillance, think nothing of living in a glass house because “I have nothing to hide”, and don’t deviate a dot from the MSM narrative of a Great Leap Forward as soon as reparations are paid, a tranny is elected president, and everybody has solar panels and electric cars (that consume more energy in their manufacture than the amount of energy they’ll be able to generate in their serviceable life).

Besides, 70’s British prog rock is maybe the crappiest music ever recorded. Rotten, Strummer, the Ramones and that lot were really a breath of fresh air.

Your musings are always very good. Keep ’em coming. And remember, since you are a Lydon fan,

I could be right, I could be wrong
I could be black, I could be white

I said this a few years ago. There are a number of old punksters that have said similar.

MAGA is closer to punk than any other mass movement at present. And this is coming from a former punk (the Marshall 2204 still gets cranked in the basement tho).

      • Yohannon January 4, 2021 at 2:44 pm #

Yeah, “Book your own fucking life” is the essence of Americanism. So what if its crap? It’s still YOURS.

There is an essential value there. No doubt. And an essential lack. No doubt. But it’s a beginning…..

        • Soul Forensics January 4, 2021 at 2:58 pm #

          Yo, Yohannon! On the mark.

The late great Irish rock/blues guitar virtuoso Rory Gallagher said the punks didn’t have much talent, but he admired their passion and honesty. And at that time (mid-late 70s), rock music, to a large extent, had devolved into corporate, streamlined, marketing-focused pablum.

          • Yohannon January 4, 2021 at 3:27 pm #

Folk culture is always high or “classical” because there are no corporations or elevator music. If you can’t play, you’ll be told to pipe down. If the opposite, the opposite. Good new stuff is added to corpus and carried down thru the centuries.

No money in it, typically. Just for the love of it. Yet some of those Irish fiddlers were invited to play in Symphonies. Professional amateurs.

Ancient Ireland was more organized and had court players and poets always looking for patronage. Thus the Lie is born and also politicized art.

          • Night Owl January 4, 2021 at 3:35 pm #

Depends on what you consider punk. Johnny Marr could play most of Rory Gallagher’s catalog in Rory’s style, and he wrote more than a few classics himself.

          • Soul Forensics January 4, 2021 at 3:45 pm #

And the classical composers often incorporated the “low” — the folk melodies sung and played widely throughout hamlet and valley — into their own song cycles, sonatas, and symphonies, cf Shostakovich’s populist and emotional allusions, Dvorak’s rustic dance tunes, and even Bartok’s folk melodies.

Those same composers also created scores from high poetry and other classical music references. It brings to mind novelist Saul Bellow’s reminder that for centuries there was no wide distinction between the high and the low, that both were needed, and that separation, if any was to be made, was complementary and celebrated, not a matter of taking sides for contemporary political opportunism.

The reason that harmonic agreement could be made is that the tradition actually existed, and was strong. Composers could draw from a wide variety of styles, moods and subject matter, while still maintaining their confidence that the spiritual meaning was both comprehensible for their homogeneous audience, and that it mattered and was revered.

          • Soul Forensics January 4, 2021 at 3:46 pm #

            Owl,

Yes, the punks, like most sub genres, had their infighting — pure versus watered down, polished versus raw, etc.

“Will the United States go missing this week, or fight its way out of the chaos and darkness?”

The United States was lost long ago in a black hole of a century’s-long orgy of fiat money conjuring, horrendous wars and loss of life, the sacrifice of a 1960s president, the continuous erosion and erasure of Constitutional rights, the offshoring of America’s jobs, and finally, insanity setting in amongst We the People. The Shining City on the Hill has turned into a Dark Cave of Fear, Loathing, Anger, Frustration, Confusion, and Mask Shaming. Not to mention a serious case of Wokesterdom, Left Side Marxist lust, and total wreckage and loss of our shared historical foundations and sense of common interest.

A great comic who appeared often on TV in the 1960s said back then, “The United States of America is going to have… a going out of business sale!” That man was more prophet than comic as the nation has been holding a 60-year liquidation sale that is nearing completion. Not much left to sell now but the shelving and the signage. Most of the floor space is empty and gathering dust. The wails of dismay now echo endlessly in the cavernous darkness.

“Whatever occurs in this strange week of confrontation, Joe Biden will not be leading any part of it. Where has he been since Christmas?”

Biden today is nothing but a computer-generated image. He is a Far Eastern AI program. He can appear anywhere and everywhere and as any age They choose to conjure him to look like. They make him look old and confused right now so that Her Highness can soon be installed as our Queen and complete the process of National Wokesterdom and sensibility purging.

Remember what our Queen-to-be has already said… “THAT’s what real leadership looks like!”

“What I wonder, given the eerie silence at Joe Biden’s end of things, is whether there is some negotiation underway for Mr. Biden to concede the election before events move forward into official inquiries. I wouldn’t be hugely surprised if that is the case.”

Interesting post again, JHK. And isn’t there that old saying from Napoleon: never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake?

I don’t think Joe Biden is going to concede … he’s just staying low-profile and counting to January 20 – and he knows that he has the Joint Session on Wednesday sown up, irrespective of how much objecting is done by Republicans in both chambers.

At this stage there would seem to be no reason why the Democrats would agree to a 10-Day Inquiry … especially since no state governor has given any indication that they wish to re-visit their certification of electoral slates.

This might change if Team Trump has compelling evidence of fraud to release Wednesday … but if they have they’re leaving it very late.

It will be interesting to see how many of the faithful show up at the MAGA Rally, how frisky they get, how long they stay (how cold it is!), and whether Biden supporters and leftie types bother to show up as well. to make a hootenanny of it.

I think the optics of the taped call to Brad Raffensperger are pretty bad (although far from catastrophic), and it’s still interesting to speculate on why it was recorded, by whom, and why released.

It would seem that Brad Raffensperger and Brian Kemp are playing a high-stakes game with their careers … I guess it could go bigly in either direction. The next scene of the drama – the run-off elections tomorrow down Georgia way!

Kemp has gone from hero (masking) to goat (elections) in a pretty short span. He’s another perfect example of the lack of quality of candidates in any given election. Most everyone knew he was a dufus from the get go and gol’darned if he didn’t prove us right. I’m seeing Doug Collins as the new Governor in two years although, quite frankly my dear, I don’t give a Yankee damn one way or another since I won’t be voting again.

I have to say that I absolutely love JHK’s blog. Although I have only recently started commenting I have followed Mr. Kunstler since the early years of Obama. I have read and loved all of his books, and his style and content inspired me to recently write a novel about another dystopian time.

Please consider the following as nuance to our current situation.

A large proportion of the goods purchased in the United States are manufactured in China. The effect of the $1200.00 stimulus provided to the citizens of the United States was to increase the purchase of goods in the retail markets. The balance of trade reflects an increase in the trade deficit coinciding with the movement of the stimulus through the economy.

The boy and girl genii who engendered globalization have realized they must starve the economy of the U.S. to starve the economy of China. The retail market approaches 70% of the U.S. economy. The front door and the back window of the Federal Reserve will soon be bustling with actvity.

Speaking of goods manufactured in China, I’d been taking prednisone eye drops for an Iritis I developed in my left eye. Usually within days it clears up. Two weeks later and it’s not clearing up,so my doctor tells me that sometimes the generic drops form China don’t work. Say what !? So she sends me to the drugstore and $70 out of pocket later I get the good stuff, threes days later and I’m good to go. Same doctor tells me she’s been in the operating room when the generic analgesic didn’t work and they had to use the non-generic. That ought to show you that the government today owes nothing to it’s citizens when something as basic as trust in your medicine can’t be trusted.

I don’t understand how the eerie silence portends a pot3ntial democratic election concession. I take the silence to mean that Biden’s handlers can’t think of anything for him to say. He should just pretend he won fair and square and ignore Trump.

Here there have been loud pro-Trump demonstrations by Koreans everyday since before the election. Some of the signs are English but the yelling is In Korean. Since they do it at the garrison’s gate they’re trying to send a message to us but most of us don’t understand enough of their language to comprehend their reasons for support. South Korea alarmed that deaths in 2019 exceeded births. Why the wonder? Modern Western Culture is a death trip. But note the reaction of the President: creating monetary incentives to get married and have children. This is National Socialism in action. Indeed a good kinetic definition of National Socialism and Fascism: a Nation’s complete response to an internal or external threat. Compare that with us: America’s fine with a below replacement level of birth since we have lots of immigrants coming in. In other words, no healthy reaction at all. Just more of the death trip. Immune system completely compromised.

Korea is a wonderful place to raise a child but they seem to me to be caught up in trying to be American. The BBC article only references women with careers. Why do they have that 2 income trap? The women don’t want to work as mothers. The role of upper class women in old Korea was to be sequestered in their homes. The.career women say they won’t have more Koreans unless the government gives them more and more. One Korean American family I know who have returned here don’t buy into that. The mom stays home, the dad goes to his job.

The government does a lot for families to encourage the production of more Koreans but also just legalized abortion. The rice village where I live has a nice playground…but no children. The fields are contracted out to agribusiness by the old people living here.

I attended Korean Language classes for foreign spouses of Koreans. The textbook was focused on WIVES. The class was all young women mostly southeast Asian. The language taught was all girl stuff. Korean men who want a real family are getting wives that want a real family from abroad. The government responds by trying to turn these young women into Koreans. If they pass the language and culture classes they get an advantage in the citizenship process. These women were popping out babies, some looked like teenagers and were on their 2vnd kid. The government in this program is resisting the multi-culti junk and telling these women to adopt Korean culture. Except for the Chines and one half Vietnamese the women seemed very happy. The extremely rapid modernization here has created cultural confusion.

A very superficial comment by JHK on that phone call between Trump and Raffensperger, glossed over in preference to some supposed shenanigans by the Bidens in Ukraine. In the phone call, Trump asked Raffensperger to find 11,780 more votes for him and suggested Raffensperger was committing criminal acts by certifying the election. It is not like the Ukrainian phone call (where Trump withheld funds granted by Congress in return for some action that he thought would help him get elected) at all. That JHK would equate the two (but not that both showed criminal behaviour by Trump) just shows his quest to completely obliterate any remaining democracy in the US is without any real foundation. A very sad and disappointing period of JHK posts, these last few months.

A Georgia election official has refuted Trump’s claims or rendered them irrelevant (since even if one or two claims have a grain of truth, it would have no impact on the result in Georgia). He showed a point by point rebuttal. As Raffensperger said, the data Trump has are wrong. There is no evidence of massive fraud.

No, there is scant evidence of fraud and no evidence of massive fraud. If there were, this election would already have been overturned. The problem is that the Trump fanatical supporters leap on the slightest hint of evidence without even examining it and then go on to claim that all of these hints amount to a mass. All the main claims mentioned here have rebuttals or are shown to be insignificant in affecting the outcome.

On Fox news and elsewhere today, Gabriel Sterling, by all accounts a faithful, life long Republican and voting systems implementation manager in Georgia, totally and in detail debunked all theories of voter fraud occurring in his state.

By the way, he voted for Trump and will vote for the two Republican candidates. I’ve hardly ever seen a more believable man.

Trump’s desperate, fatuous phone call to Raffensperger may have lost Georgia and the Senate for the Republicans. Another egregious emergence of the effusive Trump Ego.

‘Persistent rumor has the president laying out a royal flush of deadly information about his antagonists, enough to make heads explode among the formerly cocksure and vaporize the narrative they’ve been running for four years.’

There we go again, ‘persistent rumor’. Trump doesn’t even have ace high, and his NY hustle, now tinged with mob like tactics, has degenerated into embarrassing, childlike caterwauling. So much for stopping what Rubio called the ‘Socialist onslaught.’ See 2024 Rubio here:

Ted Cruz has crawled out of the lube pit again, all greasy and gunky as usual, positioning himself for another run at the presidency. He and other Republicans know that Trump is now a toxic tumult of Republican radioactivity who may soon be put behind thick walls of concrete.

Sad, but Biden’s ghost will haunt and harrow the very heart of our Homeland.

Harris-Biden is what we got. Get used to it. Trump is deader than Marley’s doornail.

“Gabriel Sterling … totally and in detail debunked all theories of voter fraud occurring in his state…. I’ve hardly ever seen a more believable man.” — tusconspur

      Yeah, totally.

Didn’t see the FOX news piece from today, but if it’s similar to the 7 minute clip on CNN it’s exactly what you’d expect from that Jeff Zucker-led group-think advocacy site.

His only “argument” was that the recount came up with the same votes for a consolidated Biden win. He called it “the most secure election in twenty years.” You believe that?

Of course, all they did was recount the same tainted votes (a few per cent from a small majority-Biden county), and, at that, without due supervision or even at attempt at signature verification (again).

The rest of the interview? Non sequiturs, anti-Trump ad hominems, anti-Trump grand narratives in the bogus tradition of armchair psychology in order to deflect by way of insertion of irrelevancies, and an embarrassing cascade of unsupported adjectival pejoratives.

      • tucsonspur January 4, 2021 at 8:50 pm #

Yeah, that’s right, totally. I suggest you watch the video again, and stop with the foul forensics. He covered all the conspiracy theories point by point, and shattered them like the phony, hysterical provocations they were.

From the broken water main, to removing observers and pulling out suspicious ballots, to possible multiple scanning, to 2056 felons voting, to 66,000 plus under the age of 18 voting, to P.O. box voting, to voting past the deadline, to those who supposedly voted after they died, to signature matching, to ballot shredding, to vote flipping or part switching on Dominion voting machines.

All the votes were examined for authenticity and then re-counted twice.

Voting officials and the GBI were involved in investigating the votes. Yes, I do believe the recounted votes correctly tallied the total for Biden. As bad as Biden is, you seem to forget how badly Trump screwed up, and how effective the Left was in making Trump the cause of all the chaos the past four years.

To think that the top Republican governmental officials and that the voting officials in Georgia conspired to rig the vote for Biden is beyond foolish.

Your last paragraph is simply bullshit, and reeks of fanfaronade and fallacious forensics.

“I suggest you watch the video again, and stop with the foul forensics.” –ts

I already told you I didn’t watch today’s Gabriel Sterling news clip on FOX. In your haste to rebut me, you seemed to have missed a rather important detail. Perhaps YOU could respond to what I actually said, which was in response to Sterling’s earlier CNN powder puff in-house interview.

BTW, your repetitive attempts at wit via rhetorical alliteration fall flat. One needs talent to be able to pull off stylized ripostes.

They just put up the FOX-Sterling 9 minute clip from today, so I’m proceeding as if that’s the one you mention.

          “They walk in at 5:30 a.m. …” — Sterling

Who’s they? And what went on between about 1 a.m. and 5:30 a.m? Are we to believe the place was locked and guarded for four and a half hours, with no one else inside? No, we’re not. Sterling goes on with his non-stop lies (once you start lying, you have to keep going to create an upside-down narrative). “No one was told to go home.” And there, apparently, was an overseer. Who was this person? How were they vetted? Were they part of the bought-and-paid for Zuckerberg $450 mil ‘donation’ for election fairness? (Rhetorical question.)

Far from “foul forensics” these are heart-of-the-matter questions that the in-the-bag media wouldn’t dare ask a cover-up shill like Sterling, the manager of GA’s voting machines (no conflict of interest there!)

And an overflowing urinal is supposed to halt the process of a so-called “tight” vote count in one of the most important national elections in U.S. history? You can hold in laughter at this point?

The biggest (of many) smoking gun(s) Sterling attempts to bypass by saying that the massive tranches of ballots pulled from under the table is “nothing was under the pulled suitcase”. That’s it. That’s his proof. LOL! It’s so blatantly laughable that only brainwashed cultists can believe it who’ve actually seen it. No wonder he spends only ten seconds “disproving” it. “Nothing to see here, move along.”

LOL! 3:30 mark. Sterling, in forensic fantasyland, mentions a few protocols that were kept (in his mind) by a “necessary chain of command”. The next few minutes are Sterling relaying a confusing cross-purose Keystone Kop farce of officials who disagreed about how to proceed with votes, who to call, what to do, and who had authority to do it. This is either a reflection of total incompetence or a smokescreen to hide blatant fraud. Obviously both, but the latter is all that matters.

Sterling relays the voting station official’s communication to the workers, at 11 a.m.: “I just got the word, we have to keep counting”. Translation: “If we don’t get more votes stuffed in for the Hologram, we lose, and we’ll let down our brothers and sisters in Milwaukee, Detroit, Philly and Phoenix. Let’s pick it up!”

Just after 5 min mark: Sterling comes back to the surveillance tape. His contention seems to be that since they released the tape (uh, you mean the surveillance tape was not in their purview, and was operating unbeknownst to the fraudsters), it showed that there was no fraud found. That’s like saying that rioters in Portland, OR over the summer were “mostly peaceful” or that citizens were “mostly unhurt”. Even a surveillance tape can’t detect small print (or lack thereof) from a distance on a paper ballot. It wasn’t designed to do this. But what they DID catch was yuuuge. Sterling, of course, is arguing in bad faith here, and his pleas wouldn’t hold up in any reasonable court of law for a second.

Sterling: “Our audits showed that there were no problems with the machines.”

Prosector: “Uh, Mr. Rooster, you were seen with feathers in your mouth, blood dripping from your comb, at 6 this morning at the edge of the henhouse. Do you have anything to say in your defense?”

Rooster: “I tallied the hens this morning right after I let myself in! They were all there.”

Sterling, in response to Team Trump’s claims: “We have 74 potential felons that voted.”

Blatant lie. Data proves there are thousands, and that there’s no “potential” about it. To top it off, at least half those felons were/are actually still in prison.

Sterling then lies about there being zero voters under 18 years old. Data backs up Team trump’s claims. But without signature verification, Sterling’s response is just him blowing more smoke up his credulous audience’s asses.

Sterling’s next howler is his best yet: “without address matches there is no way to prove that out-of-state voters cast ballots.” Uh yeah, that’s kinda the point that the indefatigable lawyers have been proving. Raffensperger, illegally, changed GA’s laws to allow a loophole whereby out-of-Stae Dems could (and did) visit the State temporarily to place phony P.O. Boxes, hotel rooms, and, with AOC’s fervent support, corral group votes at one address location — homeless shelters, e.g.

Sterling actually tries to defend the P.O. Box duplications by saying that in every case, those voters were residents of the same apartment building. Make sense? That’s some kinda strict address verification, huh?

The 9 minute speech/defense cuts off here, but if this is your idea of an unbiased, uncompromised, “believable” man, then I’ll just say I’m collecting donations for the “Raffensperger for Democratic President in 2024” campaign. I’ll set up a donation site in my name, and I’ll expect a hefty contribution from you.

Portugese ships reached Asian ports by the late 15th century and at first they tried capturing Chinese and Philippinos and using them as forced labor in Brazil and other colonies. But finally they settled on Black Africans.

The 355,000 Africans brought into the American South 1619-1830 seem like small potatoes in comparison.

Interestingly enough, after the Civil War about 20,000 former Confederates– Confederatos — relocated to Brazil. And there they are to this day, their ancestors (mixed with Portugese and immigrants from a Ukranian community) still celebrating Confederate Memorial Day, flying the Stars and Bars, and singing Dixie.

But by the same coin, when the net negatives net out the net positives, the end is nigh. Thus the positives must always outnumber the negatives – if the negatives are to thrive. Wise parasites would limit their reproduction so as to preserve the situation. But in their hubris, they kill the golden goose and eat him. And being human, oh too human (in the invidious sense), they hate the hand that feeds them and always have.

    • benr January 4, 2021 at 8:51 pm #

Being the proud and ever eager chauvinist for America that I am.
I’m pleased to point out that the U.S. beat Sputnik (launched October 4, 1957) not just once, but twice!
In getting a man made projectile into space. The fact that we did so unintentionally is beside the point. Facts trump desire every time.

The fastest manmade object isn’t a hypersonic jet or spacecraft, but a large manhole cover. When the US started doing underground nuclear testing, nobody really knew what would happen. One test bomb was placed at the bottom of a 485-foot deep shaft on July 26, 1957, and someone thought it was a good idea to put a half-ton iron manhole cover on top to contain the explosion. The bomb turned the shaft into the world’s largest Roman candle, and the manhole cover was nowhere to be found. Robert Brownlee, an astrophysicist who designed the test, wanted to repeat the experiment with high-speed cameras so he could figure out what happened to the cover. So another experiment was created, this time 500-feet deep, and a similar half-ton manhole cover was placed on top. On August 27, 1957, they detonated the bomb. The high-speed cameras barely caught a view of the cover as it left the top of the shaft and headed into oblivion. Brownlee used the frames to calculate the speed to be more than 125,000 miles per hour…. more than five times the escape velocity of the Earth, and the fastest man-made object in history.

Physicists have debated the whereabouts of the two manhole covers ever since. Recently, with the help of supercomputers and a lot more scientific knowledge, physicists are certain that they wouldn’t have had time to burn up completely before exiting the atmosphere. This means both of the remaining pieces would have passed Pluto’s orbit sometime around 1961 and are way beyond the edge of the solar system by now.

More facts. The second manhole cover was welded in place. The high-speed cameras were snapping photos every millisecond (1,000 frames per second); the manhole cover appeared in only one frame. And I wouldn’t describe the shaft as the largest Roman candle, but as the largest canon ever. The iron manholes actually beat Voyagers I and II as the first objects to leave our solar system. The U.S. has set all kinds of records.

      https://www.businessinsider.com/fastest-object-robert-brownlee-2016-2#on-october-4-1957-the-soviet-union-launched-sputnik-the-worlds-first-artificial-satellite-15

      I love history!

      • BackRowHeckler January 4, 2021 at 9:44 pm #

        Good story Ben.

Wouldn’t those manhole covers burn up moving at 125,000 mph leaving the atmosphere? In ’03 the space shuttle was going only about 12000 mph, got white hot, and turned to toast.

I think the first manmade objects to leave earth’s atmosphere were artillery shells fired at Paris by giant German Big Bertha RR guns from 75 miles away in 1917.

It’s an interesting question. I can certainly imagine though that the alien disclosures could be used as a tool to centralize control and advocate for global government. After all, wasn’t it Ronald Reagan who said that in the face of an alien threat the people of the world would unite? And then again some people who have been in contact with aliens or abducted or what have you say that the aliens are concerned about our destructive and primitive tendencies and therefore want to help us achieve an enlightened and harmonious existence which for some reason oftentimes seems to infer that humanity must adopt a global government in which no one owns property and the State anticipates and meets all needs. Living in floating cities and managed from cradle to grave by AI and so forth. It’s the same destination that they are hoping covid brings us to but since that is not working altogether here comes the alien experts to guide us to the right state of mind?

SSL, the very fact that this subject can be presented and discussed in a rational intellectual fashion is evidence that progress is afoot. Try this even 20 years ago and a chorus of sneers and giggles would attempt to smother all discussion.

Look at what happened to John E. Mack, a Harvard professor of Psychology and author of a prize-winning bio of T. E. Lawrence. There was a serious conspiracy to drum him out of the University, in spite of his tenured status. Why? Because he refused to treat the subject of alien abductions as mental illness. He chose to keep an open mind, and not come to any conclusions without proper evidence.

Regarding the motivation and motives of the Visitors, it is possible we shall never be made aware of them – either by design or through our own incomprehension. In addition to the possible objectives mentioned by SSL, I should add that some warn that among the varied tribes tinkering with Earth there are accomplished liars and dissimulators, which I personally find really alarming. If they are among us we are really and truly helpless, unless we get lucky and shoot one down as was reported at Roswell in 1947. Welcome to Earth: BAM.

I cannot ever imagine official disclosure. “Hey thanks loads for the eight hundred billion smackers for ‘national defense’. Sorry we can’t do a darned thing about the craft coming and going, violating everyone’s airspace gaily, abducting and experimenting on citizens, mutilating moo-cows and doing God knows what else. We are keeping tabs on them, best we can, and hanging in there. Just keep the money storm-drain roaring and we’ll keep pretending…”

General Cornwallis sent black soldiers fighting for the British (lured by promises of emancipation) infected with smallpox against the French and the Americans as a primitive form of biological warfare. George Washington deliberately infected his troops with mild cases of smallpox in order to inoculate them.

They don’t want politics or courts or anything civil. Why would they. They are simply by any means necessary criminals who dress nice and have good jobs and make good money off of the people they gleefully destroy for more profits and kickbacks using all the levers of state, corporate, and media power exclusively available to them. They only appreciate force and power. You can show them all the evidence all day long and it doesn’t matter because they don’t care. If the crime got them the result they want they are good. They laugh and mock those who accept it. There is no point to politics or negotiation with people like this. Its like the civilized Anasazi trying to negotiate with the Toltec cannibal marauders.

My brother’s reaction: Cruz is leading this to get the base of his back and stay in good with them or even advance his standing. He just wants the whole thing to go away. I think he’s probably right the more I think about it. A ten day commission? Senators? The Supreme Court? We already know what kind of people the latter are. And ditto most Senators. How will the pick them? Fifty/Fifty? We lose since more than half of the Republicans are deep State.

This will weaken Trump’s position in the end. What does he do when they come back with their findings of “nothing there” or some minor irregularities that need to be worked on? This is playing in their game and falling into their web.

      • SoftStarLight January 5, 2021 at 10:01 am #

Yes. I tend to agree as well. Any time the government steps in to anything it unfortunately seems to be nothing but trouble because its never the real general good or welfare that is promoted but only the interests of select ones who are deemed “more important”. I also find it troubling that Tom Cotton has essentially stated that he will side with Joe Biden DESPITE all of the concerns of fraud and irregularities. His excuse. Well if we object to the electoral college certification it will just embolden Democrats further to behave unconstitutionally. Super but sad lulz. But many people don’t realize that Tom Cotton is just another Bilderberger globalist. He wants all of the war games again. I believe he also wants a war with China.

I almost wonder if they are doing this to lay the groundwork for the next pandemic death rate? Early on during this one. Say back in February when I was going though my own freak out about the virus I heard stories about individuals in South Korea and I believe Iran who were literally walking down the street and would just collapse dead from the coronavirus. That didn’t help my panic at the time. But I remember passing comments in the news that some health experts believed people who were having that type of reaction had a previous SARS vaccination. And apparently that did not interact well with the covid infection. So. That could be a problem in this instance too it sounds like.

Way to go Trump, worse than your handling of the Ukraine call:

“Brad Raffensperger acknowledged Trump may face an investigation from the Fulton county district attorney’s office, after the president demanded that the Georgia secretary of state “find” enough votes to throw the state to him. Joe Biden won Georgia by nearly 12,000 votes.

Two House Democrats called on the FBI to investigate the call. The two lawmakers, Ted Lieu of California and Kathleen Rice of New York, wrote in a letter to FBI director Christopher Wray, “The evidence of election fraud by Mr Trump is now in broad daylight.”

Trump was lit up like a stick of dynamite and exploded with this:

Trump: Democrats are ‘not taking this White House. We’re going to fight like hell.’

Will he refuse to leave and be arrested, go down as a martyr, showman, and all around in your face ball buster? Could a gun fight break out?

Honestly if the Georgia Senate races were conducted in a fair and legal manner (which it is already proven it is not) then I would anticipate the Republican candidates would win, however I think the margins would not be great so they would not be landslide victories by any stretch of the imagination.

In the Presidential election I think Trump would have won fair and square with about a 20-40K vote margin. So again not a huge landslide. But a win nonetheless.

Really scary is the possibility that the addition of mail in ballots have enabled the gimme class, who have always been sketchy with voting, to be gathered up by the likes of Stacey Abrams and submitted. Scary, because it presents a different picture of the US’s future. If with full turnout, the voters are driving the US to the Left, well, there it is. The Left has manipulated the demographics of the country to their advantage, and may have won the war.

How will the good Ol’ boys react to this potential realization?

IMHO, the two sides cannot work together and need to separate.

C’mon. Trump asks for help from a RINO appealing to party unity. All the collusion going around about all these states and the news item is Trump’s call. You buy the Media’s takeoff of this, it is just a repeat of all the BS of the past four years.

The people of the US deserve exactly what they are about to get! Uniparty forever!

      • tucsonspur January 5, 2021 at 7:33 pm #

John, I buy my own take and my own analysis. People fail to realize that the nation may have been hypnotized, brainwashed or manipulated enough by the Left and the media to enable this Uniparty. You yourself hint at it.

Throw in the media capitalizing on Trump’s mistakes, and the four years of making Trump out to be the traitor, and it’s possible that the Left could reach these disputed numbers of votes without much fraud. Trump flunked the EC because of his handling of the virus. How many votes lost? I say 5 million on the low end.

Georgia may provide a good gauge. If Loeffler and Purdue win by huge margins, suspicion about November soars. A close race or if the Dems win outright, say farewell to fraud occurring on any major scale back then. The nature of the nation will be more definitively revealed, and with Trump uncrowned and Republicans upended, the Uniparty will be close to unconquerable.

        • JohnAZ January 5, 2021 at 11:34 pm #

Agree with you all the way.

I believe that Trump was our chance to beat back the globalist socialism inherent to the Dems.

But I also believe in the Covid destroying our country right now due to stupid politicians.

Trump played the ignore it and it will go away game and he lost his presidency because of it.

Why? Because it disturbs society enough that it cannot be ignored, and it did not just go away.

If folks had just spaced themselves last February and worn masks when that was impossible, where would we be now?

Much, much better off, happier and looking forward to reconstruction under Trump. The economy would be starting to hum again.

Wisconsin: Pharmacist Who Destroyed Coronavirus Vaccines Said It Alters People’s DNA
    Andrew Anglin January 5, 2021

I don’t know how the establishment can be surprised that people are concerned about this vaccine, given that they literally said that you have to take it and that you’re not allowed to talk about it. They banned any and all discussion of it, and just said: “you have to inject yourself with this experimental chemical cocktail, or we’re going to punish you.”

Surely, they didn’t expect that everyone would just accept that.

What is actually shocking, in fact, is how many people did accept it.

    TMJ4:

The pharmacist accused of intentionally spoiling nearly 600 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at a Grafton clinic first appeared in Ozaukee County Court on Monday.

He was then released from Ozaukee County Jail on a $10,000 signature bond.

Steven Brandenburg is the pharmacist accused of deliberately spoiling vials of vaccine at the Grafton Aurora Medical Center on two occasions.

The Ozaukee County District Attorney Adam Gerol told a judge that the vaccines that were initially believed to have been destroyed need to be tested to determine if that was actually the case.

Gerol said Aurora walked back some of their initial information the vaccines were destroyed, adding they were sequestered.

Brandenburg was being held on probable cause from Grafton Police. In their probable cause statement, Brandenburg removed the box containing the vaccine from a refrigerator and let it out for 12 hours, rendering it useless.

Brandenburg told investigators that he believed the vaccine was not safe for people and would “harm them and change their DNA,” the probable cause statement said. Brandenburg, according to the Grafton Police Department, is an “admitted conspiracy theorist.”

Medical professionals have repeatedly stated the mRNA COVID vaccines do not alter a person’s DNA.

Brandenburg was arrested on Dec. 31 on charges of first degree recklessly endangering safety, adulterating a prescription drug, and criminal damage to property.

Yes, medical professionals have repeatedly stated that.

    This is true.

However, the fact that they said it doesn’t make it true.

What the vaccine does is deliver synthetic mRNA to send instructions to the DNA, and I guess it’s up to you if you believe that counts as “altering DNA.”

What is clear is that the delivery mechanism that has been developed through this vaccine program definitely does have the ability to alter DNA. So basically, we are just being asked, once again, to “trust the experts.”

We’re asked to trust them despite the fact that they’ve done nothing but lie to us from the beginning of this coronavirus hoax.

I think it’s reasonable for someone to not trust them, and in fact, I would go so far as to assert that anyone who does trust these people has something very seriously wrong with them.

Yo: The synthetic mRNA sends instructions to your DNA to change. And it obeys. Thus the vaccine changes your DNA. What is the mystery? That’s what they are doing. But yes, why? That’s the mystery. To just cure a minor disease? And yes, it is godlike power. Power that they do not deserve. Think that they will be satisfied with just curing the sniffles?

    • Disaffected January 5, 2021 at 1:18 pm #

Good points, all. Even if this particular vaccine is not the ultimate trojan horse that they are no doubt planning, it’s an opening to exploit the public’s tolerance for this kind of thing, so that DNA altering vaccines – whether they’re officially labeled that or not – become yet another “new normal.” A whole lot of “new normals” coming down the pike lately, provided people are stupid enough to accept them. So far, it looks like the sheeple are every bit as naïve and stupid as the globalists take them to be.

    • mccobb January 5, 2021 at 1:20 pm #

The vaccine does not send instructions to the DNA. The DNA never leaves the cell’s nucleus. The DNA sends messenger RNA instructions (m means messenger) to the ribosome to build proteins. The vaccine’s mRNA instructs the Ribosome to build antigens to fight the virus. The virus instructs the Ribosome to build up to a million copies of itself per cell.

      • Yohannon January 5, 2021 at 1:30 pm #

No, fake messenger RNA is inserted into the DNA – to change it or get it to change itself. Get it straight. The DNA is being acted up by Man – men with hidden agendas.

Previous corona vaccines resulted in mass deaths of people and animals. No animal testing this time. Straight to people. Hint: That should alarm you if you were a normal person as opposed to a “normie”.

Poster on another blog: The same people who are freaked out by GMO food are the most eager to get the genetically altering shot. Normies.

        • JohnAZ January 5, 2021 at 4:41 pm #

No, the Serum mRNA reacts in the cytoplasm to create little spike proteins, DNA is not touched. Normally, Messenger RNA is sent from the nucleus to the cytoplasm where the cell creates the proteins it is supposed to. The spikes escape to allow the immune system to detect the antigen and “kill” it. More importantly, antibodies are created causing the side effects of the vaccine. More important than antibodies are the memory B and T cells that give quick response the next time the body sees spike proteins.

A few cells in your arm are sacrificed to create the dummy spike proteins, but they are replaced. DNA is not affected.

          • JohnAZ January 5, 2021 at 4:42 pm #

I see McCobb already sent this message above. So here it is again.

          • Yohannon January 5, 2021 at 6:57 pm #

Your immune system can kill you. Did you know that? Maybe it will reject your kidney or liver or heart. Or over-react next time you get a cold. Maybe the spikes tell the immune system to overdo it turning a case of the sniffles into a trip the the emergency room at 3 am.

        • mccobb January 6, 2021 at 7:47 pm #

@JohnAZ below is correct. Also correct, this was my second post trying to point out how the vaccine works.

Previous vaccines have resulted in deaths. That’s true. Your own immune system can kill you, that’s also true. That’s what happened to a lot of people who contracted COVID-19.

“Interesting that Pollard refers to ‘coming home’ when in fact he was born and raised in Texas and as far as I know spent all of his life in America. But obviously he never regarded it as his real home, still less the focus of his loyalties. So what the hell were the American intelligence agencies thinking when they gave him access to vital defense information, information which the Israelis then traded on to the USSR in return for easing emigration to Israel? (His treachery was such that even traitorous Ziocons like Cheney and Rumsfeldt were outraged.)”

Yes, if there was Trump TV, they could and should be playing the clip of Dr Birx saying that they are massively inflating the Covid stats by calling anything and everything covid. You need to make connections for people who can’t make their own for the most part. And even those who can are often too busy working to have seen this kind of evidence. Real journalism would show them things like this in any case, and leave it up to them to make up their own minds.

But again, most will fail. After all, we used to have that and most people chose incorrectly nonetheless. We are a fallen race, thus Democracy per se in contraindicated. I prescribe an elitist republicanism instead. A Government not of men but of laws; not of voters but elite voters.

    • beantownbill. January 5, 2021 at 1:29 pm #

Yes, but I’m skeptical of humanity. So you have an elite republicanism. Do you think those elites are not above corruption? But, you say, we have tests and screening to determine who is moral. I say, power corrupts, and how do we know someone wouldn’t fall into corruption later?

Your idea actually sounds good, but I don’t think it would work out. The fault lies in ourselves, not the stars.

You need to clarify how we could protect ourselves to keep things honest.

Eternal vigilance as Franklin said. The kind we failed at, lost as we are in fantasies of individualistic wealth, fame, and power. Capitalist man is not democratic and cannot uphold a Republic. He doesn’t really want to. His freedom is just license.

So? So we end this kind of man as such. Capitalists will still exist but they will cower before Citizens. And some of them will be Citizens as well – once they qualify. Service, knowledge, time to keep up with current events (a big one mentioned by Aristotle) and testing as per the latter two. Financial solvency as well.

Choose our better selves. Those who don’t so choose, don’t have to. They just don’t get to vote. Some will fake it of course. But it’s a lot to fake! Easier just to follow the rules and make money – as would be their right. Enjoy life! Fine and expected. Just no power. A modern version of the Vedic Caste system in some respects. Because Bill, people really are different by nature. And all things aren’t for all people.

Sodomites corrupted the church. They cared enough to fake it, all the while having orgies in the seminaries. If the seminaries had been put in rural monasteries with manual labor, getting dirty, getting up early and going to bed early – with no orgies possible – far, far fewer would have made it through or even tried.

Just calling covid a hoax is not doing anyone a favor. The bottom line is that something, a new virus or a mutated extant one is killing a lot of people. The 350,000 deaths are most likely exaggerated, a lie. Let’s say that its really been ten times exaggerated. Well, tell the families of the 35,000 victims that their loved one’s death was just the sniffles.

    • Yohannon January 5, 2021 at 1:25 pm #

Oh get out. Get some perspective. It’s nothing compared to the unspeakable suffering the lockdown is causing. And that’s nothing compared to the suffering that these Devils are going to cause with this.

As Alinsky said, Pick a target. Freeze it. In other words, make an idol of it. Then personalize it – that’s what you just did. See? It self perpetuates. It becomes alive. The Marks and Rubes (that’s you!) feed it of their own life force.

Life is now not worth living in the First World. In the Third World, massive famines are coming. Poverty DOUBLED. How dare you?

    • Tate January 5, 2021 at 1:25 pm #

The media say that Covid being created in the Wuhan lab is a “conspiracy theory.” And yet, the majority of scientists knowledgeable on the subject say that it could not have been created through a natural mutation. The “wet market” hypothesis is a cover story. It is indeed an engineered virus which is a really frightening thought that this is what our superiors have in mind for us.

      • beantownbill. January 5, 2021 at 1:35 pm #

The lockdown is ridiculous, but my point is that covid – whatever it may be – is not the sniffles. The authorities’ reaction is a different subject altogether.

          • beantownbill. January 5, 2021 at 1:50 pm #

Ok, if the authorities had anything directly to do with the creation of the virus, then you are right. But the point stands: Covid is not the sniffles. I don’t understand why you won’t admit it.

          • Yohannon January 5, 2021 at 1:55 pm #

I admit it may be a new version of the common cold. Even the common cold can kill. So any corona virus can be more than the sniffles. Satisfied?

            No, right?

      • beantownbill. January 5, 2021 at 1:38 pm #

This is for Tate: so are you saying covid isn’t just the sniffles?

        • Tate January 5, 2021 at 2:01 pm #

I don’t know what you mean. It’s deadly for those who develop a serious case of it (less than 1% of those who get it). And it’s not a complete hoax. But I’ve never claimed it was.

        • Tate January 5, 2021 at 2:03 pm #

What I’m saying is that it almost certainly is a man-made virus, engineered for what purpose I’ll leave others to guess.

          • JohnAZ January 5, 2021 at 4:30 pm #

            Aha!

It is definitely not a hoax. It is a factor of 2-3 more lethal disease than the flu or cold. But still less than 1%.

The problem is that a significant portion of the survivors end up in the hospital trying to breathe and another portion ends up with long term debilitation due to this disease attacking everywhere in the body.

The main threat is to the healthcare system in the cities. Overloading the hospitals stops regular care, emergent care and even care for marginal Covid patients.

            Ladies and gentlemen,

If we do not find a way to cure these viruses, one day one will develop that has the transmissibility of Covid with the lethality of Ebola. If that happens, watch out.

            Vaccines are too slow.

Or someone will develop one and “accidentally” loose it. Think that cannot happen? Would you have believed the impact of Covid19 a year ago?

Will we become a actual non-fictional edition of The Stand? It is possible!

          • Tate January 5, 2021 at 4:42 pm #

            >>>The problem is that a significant portion of the survivors end up in the hospital trying to breathe and another portion ends up with long term debilitation…<<<

Really? I suspect this is not true either. If .03% of those contracting it die from it, then maybe .09% (3x those dying from it) of those contracting it have serious long-term side-effects. I suspect this is more like what is actually happening. But still overall a low number. (Maybe it's 1% of 2% instead of .09% but my point still holds.)

On your second point, we have never developed a successful coronavirus vaccine, & what is now being touted as a success, well… be my guest, you first. Half of health-care workers are taking a wait-&-see attitude to getting vaccinated. They understand what's on the line.

At a time when the English were losing the 100 Years War, getting booted from Normandy, and embarking on a bloody Civil War (The Wars of the Roses) as early as 1418 the Portugese were sending ships around the Horn of Africa, to India, and on to China and Japan.

Jim (not JHK) has re-emerged after his bout of paranoia.

I am feeling optimistic about my safety, because I have taken some additional precautions, and the move seems to have taken me off the radar. About America, not so much.

The politically correct story of the Roman Republic is that it died of ambitious generals with troops personally loyal to their general.

This just is not true. There was a terrible vacuum that demanded a general to restore order at swordpoint and enforce at swordpoint the cooperation that makes collective action possible, and that vacuum twice persisted for an extraordinarily unreasonable time before a general finally did. The Republic died twice, but things superficially appeared to keep happening as they used to for a while because of old people with old habits acting in ways that used to make sense, but were no longer sane or safe in the new reality.

But if everyone stops playing by the rules, then collective action becomes difficult. As the Russians complained of America under Obama, “America is not agreement capable.” Notoriously the State Department is owned by Israel. And by Saudi Arabia. And by China. And by assorted Hunter Biden type grifters.

If Biden gets in, then the people pulling his strings will find that the way they got in makes it impossible to get anything done. Until they start shooting judges and public servants, which I expect to start happening around 2026 or so if Trump fails to start shooting people sooner than that.

Phew! Well that’s certainly a relief. “Jim” says we’ve got 5 years of breathing room…

So, the moment is almost upon us. Starting tonight, or over the next few days, things will never be the same, no matter the runoff outcome. My guess is that if the dems are losing, they will do something to delay the announcement, then try to somehow change the actual results. If the Repubs are losing, the vote tallies will be announced asap.

My own feeling is that the dems will end up controlling the Senate. If that happens, then Trump has to shit or get off the pot. Taking action ultimately means military involvement. Pence might not accept the elector results, but that would leave congress a mess. If Pence accepts the electors, Trump has to act immediately. He has to get the military behind him, but that’s not a given because the military swears allegiance to the Constitution, not the president. The question is, how will Trump turn this into a constitutional matter requiring military assistance? Not sure If he can do it. In any case, civil unrest is going to ensue.

For the past 4 years Trump has made some bold plans, but has mostly backed down when opposed. Does he have the balls to go forward when the resistance is fierce? We shall see.

In any case, prepare to be on pins and needles until the end of January, at least.

“Taking action ultimately means military involvement. Pence might not accept the elector results, but that would leave congress a mess. If Pence accepts the electors, Trump has to act immediately.”

VP Mike Pence, under the Constitution, the Electoral Count Act 1887, and the approved Congressional rules, doesn’t do anything that isn’t essentially ceremonial – and I expect he will act that way.

The top brass in the defence forces have already stated that they do not get involved in political issues. The Supreme Court also seems to have said all they’re going to say about this presidential election.

It’s hard to see what options Donald Trump has remaining. The Insurrection Act would not seem to offer any resolution for Trump – against whom is he going to send in federal troops?

I expect Joe Biden will be sworn in on 20 January – with or without any overt inaugural ceremonies. We’ll see.

    Dmitry Orlov:

“But it all worked out thanks to the wonderful US public education system. [Furrowed brows, nervously twitching fingers and toes]

There is no way to make the numbers make any sense. Since 2016 the US population grew by just under 8 million. If Trump got 74 million votes, as reported, then just 31 million votes would be the theoretical maximum for Biden—less then half as many as for Trump. [Stunned silence] “

    • Redneck Liberal January 5, 2021 at 9:04 pm #

This analysis also leads to the implication that there were 50 MILLION fake votes. That’s quite a logistical task, worthy of the Army Corps of Engineers at least, and therefore a bit far-fetched.

I’ve checked the registered voters in 2020 here:

      https://worldpopulationreview.com/state-rankings/number-of-registered-voters-by-state

It gives a total of 213,799,467. Given that, and the total ballots counted in the Nov 3 election of 155 million, then the facts are that the turnout was historically high at 72%.

Other sources have different numbers – Newsweek for example quotes 239 million eligible & 160 million voting and a turnout of 67%.

Whichever way you cut it, Orlov’s numbers are ‘conveniently’ faked.

      • Pucker January 5, 2021 at 11:16 pm #

Orlov’s numbers look right. There’s no-Fuck’n-way that the number of registered voters almost doubled between 2016 and 2020. The numbers don’t make sense.

“ For the 2016 general election, the total registered population in the United States reached 157.6 million, an increase of almost 3 percent from the November 2012 figure of 153 million. However, the number of registrants as a proportion of the estimated citizen population remained roughly stable between the two elections: 71.2 percent in 2016 and 70.3 percent in 2012. The breakdown of 2016 registrants by age also was comparable to 2012: Approximately 55.4 percent of citizens ages 18 to 24 were registered to vote in 2016, compared with 53.6 percent in 2012. Among Americans age 35 and older, about 75 percent were registered to vote for each of the last two presidential elections.”

Rarely, someone waited until the “ winner” was approaching the surface and grabbed the object away, acting as if they had won. If an instructor observed this, the thief could look forward to one to several days of severe treatment, upon such a time they either quit, or the instructors were now satisfied the lesson was inculcated in all, especially the thief and “life” went on. The dems did this to the election BUT all the instructors observed it, including ALL in the upper echelons. No beat down inflicted, no harassment, not even a verbal warning! Here we have two far Left candidates in Georgia running neck and neck with the Republicans, and this in an election that could ‘change America’ as Schumer so wished. How could this be, you ask? This is how.

The Left has succeeded in making Trump the bad guy, and along with the media, succeeded in shaping the mindset of America. This is what many Republicans can’t realize or won’t accept, that they’ve done a great job at gaslighting the gullible and even the not so gullible.

Think about how close they’re coming to ‘radically changing America’ as Obama once proposed. Republicans had better stop shouting fraud and face the fact that the Democrats just have, and are getting the folks. That message is written all over Georgia.

Thus, the government will know all your medical information.

      Things are not looking good.

        Consider this:

If you have no symptoms of Corvid19— no fever, no persistent cough, no loss of taste— but elect to be tested using the “gold standard” PCR test that amplifies any messenger remnants in you nasal swab to the 40th power the probability of receiving a false positive reading is 96%!!

The most likely reason for failing your Corvid test is that you had a mild case which you were even not aware of, but as a result have acquired immunity that is more powerful than any that can be produced by a vaccine.

This means that in the Brave New World you will be prohibited from flying on an airliner, and in all likelihood be bared from working at your job.

Or you can accept the mandatory untested mRNA “vaccine” that already is causing short term reactions at a far greater rate than flu vaccines and has a real possibility of triggering long term autoimmune diseases and female sterility, and may last for as little as 90 days before needing booster shots.

“Republicans had better stop shouting fraud …”

Indeed – it seems to me as a middle-of-the-road type, that Donald Trump made three critical (and seemingly fatal) mistakes:

      (1) Obviously, he saw the pandemic as a losing proposition, but if he had grabbed it with both hands and been out-front combatting it, he would have won easily, I expect.

      (2) He claimed months ago that if he lost the election then it would only be because the election was rigged – I’m not certain that this type of self-assured arrogance went down well with the 10-20% in the center who could have been persuaded.

      (3) And he attacked mail-in voting (despite the pandemic), rather than embracing it and encouraging it, as the Democrats did.

The 40% or so who would always vote for Donald Trump were locked in, but the three factors above almost guaranteed he wouldn’t get the support of the 10% or so he needed for victory. They were big mistakes in my view.

BTW – I don’t think the Georgia Democrat candidates are “far left”, by most criteria … in any other Western democracy they would probably be seen as moderate and centrist (maybe center-left, maybe center-right – but not by any real stretch as serious lefties).

I don’t recall them ever demanding the end of private property and capitalism, rounding up and shooting the ruling class, and for the proletariat to seize the means of production …

“Pretty much agree, especially on the first point.”

In respect of the pandemic, and the politics it implied, Donald Trump listened far too much to Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson – neither of whom know shit from clay, in terms of the mainstream of American thought.

Trump was totally duped on the politics of Covid-19, in my view, and has paid dearly.

    11 pm Tuesday Jan 5, 2021 – TERRIBLE

Republicans stole 11,780 votes to keep 2 GOP Senators in.
Dominion machines were rigged against Dems.
Dominion machines had parts swapped out.!
Millions of Dem ballots were shredded!
Fake ballots came in suitcases by the thousands.
Ex-Georgians who moved out can’t move back in and vote!!!
Moving back to Georgia would be crazy!

    • Yohannon January 6, 2021 at 2:06 am #

You can’t move out of Georgia and still vote in Georgia because you “identify” as Georgian. That’s like saying a hamster born in a goldfish bowl is a goldfish.

      Fish or cut bait, chump.

      • rlread52 January 6, 2021 at 11:56 am #

        Totally missed the point ‘redhead’.

Hundreds of folks move away from states to get work for a number of years… eventually when they miss “home” they move back home and register to vote in their birth home to vote.

Herr Drumpf was born in NY, but he has now ‘moved’ his vote to Florida. BTW – NYers will never WELCOME him or wifey home.

No :-), and I can’t read Italian either. But. Word through the grapevine is that votes tonight were being sent to Pakistan. You are correct. All vote fraud enticements and illegalities are still in place in Georgia so that coupled with suppressed America First turnout equals a cute 50/49 for both Dem candidates. Stacey said she had the right amount of mail ins yesterday. And of course even though greater than 99% of all precincts are reporting somehow the counting just keeps going and going though they stopped earlier before the vote dumps that switched both races came in so they could overestimate the needed backfill. Its all a fake scam.

        • JohnAZ January 6, 2021 at 10:43 am #

          SSL

I notice that absolutely nothing has been done to explore whether the ballot boxes were stuffed with phony ballots or even more so, whether the Dominion machines were capable of generating votes from thin air or switching blocks of votes. Why? Because if there is voting fraud like this, people will go to jail. Yeah, the same people that ran the fraud. Once things settle down, this is going to be buried in a very deep hole.

The real question is, what happens between now and 2022. With the Uniparty taking over, it may make no difference. Voting in this country is now a sham. Third world status approacheth.

Mark Levin on Hannity: The writers of the Constitution weren’t fools. Do you really think they expected the Senate to certify the results of fraudulent elections – just because that’s what is expected of them? Ditto the Vice President?

In other words, people are saying it’s only ceremonial. But was that it’s original intent? Why bother then? What if it was intended to be a last life of defense against something like this?

I wish I knew more, say about the precedent back in 1877, etc. But I don’t. I’ll have to watch his show and try to find out more. But I like the track he was on this evening. He’s outraged. So am I. The fix is in. Why have the audit – if they can even get it – AFTER the results have been certified? Isn’t that putting the cart before the horse? Why didn’t Cruz and Co do this earlier? Oh well, to give them the benefit of the doubt, perhaps they hoped for the Supreme Court to do its job like the rest of us.

I think this is too late. The Democrats have the ball and they’re not giving it back. They just have to run out the clock by sitting on the ball – for this election and beyond that, for every election to come. Two more states and half a dozen more Supreme Court Justices? The deal is done.

    • tucsonspur January 6, 2021 at 2:37 am #

            A brain.

          • Tekapo January 6, 2021 at 2:44 pm #

I don’t care much either way who was elected president (I don’t like either candidate very much) – but watching the process has been fascinating.

It will also be interesting to see your reaction when Joe Biden is certified by Congress this week, and inaugurated on 20 January.

BTW – ad hominem insults aren’t necessary – or attractive.

    • Tekapo January 6, 2021 at 4:34 am #

“In other words, people are saying it’s only ceremonial. But was that it’s original intent? Why bother then? What if it was intended to be a last life of defense against something like this?”

The original intent was to have a final authority if (a) there were more than two viable candidates so no-one got 50%+ of the total electoral votes (that hasn’t happened), or (b) there were certified competing electoral; slates from one or more states (this hasn’t happened either).

And lots of things occur that are ceremonial – but that doesn’t make them useless or unimportant. Almost all church services are ceremonial. The role of Mike Pence is formal and ceremonial … nothing more.

  89. Yohannon January 6, 2021 at 2:44 am #

Substitute Brutus with Tusconspur, small t – I honor him too much….

    Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;
I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.
    The evil that men do lives after them;
    The good is oft interred with their bones;
So let it be with Caesar. The noble Brutus
Hath told you Caesar was ambitious:
If it were so, it was a grievous fault,
And grievously hath Caesar answer’d it.
Here, under leave of Brutus and the rest–
    For Brutus is an honourable man;
So are they all, all honourable men–
Come I to speak in Caesar’s funeral.
He was my friend, faithful and just to me:
    But Brutus says he was ambitious;
And Brutus is an honourable man.
He hath brought many captives home to Rome
Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill:
Did this in Caesar seem ambitious?
When that the poor have cried, Caesar hath wept:
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff:
    Yet Brutus says he was ambitious;
And Brutus is an honourable man.
You all did see that on the Lupercal
I thrice presented him a kingly crown,
Which he did thrice refuse: was this ambition?
    Yet Brutus says he was ambitious;
And, sure, he is an honourable man.
I speak not to disprove what Brutus spoke,
But here I am to speak what I do know.
You all did love him once, not without cause:
What cause withholds you then, to mourn for him?
O judgment! thou art fled to brutish beasts,
    And men have lost their reason. Bear with me;
My heart is in the coffin there with Caesar,
And I must pause till it come back to me.

O wonderfully smelly fart, thou breath of living bowels
Who announceth thine presence with a feeling of friction
The motion of friction that stirreth my soul
like a flurry of birds, escaping from mine own nether regions.

Even somewhat more like a bird, giving out a chirp,
and wafting away in the breeze…..unto mine neighbor.
And that self-same neighbor, not understanding, complaineth bitterly
He curseth his lot, whilst stopping up his nostrils.

O pity the poor neighbor, but wait! What happens
but the neighbor himself, who snickereth and holdeth his nose.
Suddenly his face groweth into a strange position, with the realization
That he hath just now released the sacred vapors of his own fart.

  92. JohnAZ January 6, 2021 at 10:12 am #

    Well, here we are.

Warnock has won, and Ossoff too, but Fox holding on to keep up the story.

Evaluation says one thing only. Whatever the cause, the GOP is finished in this country. Charlie Hurt said it well last night, the mealy mouth RINOs in the Deep State is responsible for the collapse of the GOP in this election and the demise of Trump. Everybody is going to try to give the blame to Trump but that is a sham. The Deep State has won, big time, and the people have given away their birthright as freedom loving beings. The Federal government is in total control as the Uniparty passes its agenda unimpeded now. Packing the courts even more, admission of two New Democratic states, socialization of health care, education and the opening of the southern border makes the finalization of the Deep State in control. Uniparty is coming.

The GOP is history. Turncoats like Mittens have just cooked their own goose. Mittens would have been powerful if GA had elected one GOP and would have been on a path to rum for president again. Now he is nothing. And he did it to himself. Megalomaniacs eventually get their due, the Lincoln Project just cooked their own goose. Wait until they try to exert their “new power” and what is left of the GOP tells them to GTH. The GOP needs to self immoliate as they are no competition for the Uniparty.

We wake this AM extremely uncertain of what the future holds. The good Ol’ boy America is dying and it is accelerating now. It is the people that are changing, the polity are a reflection of the change. For now, White America is under threat big time. How that changes things is uncertain right now. A big group of the White folks have hitched their wagons to the browning of America. I hope there is a special place in hell for them. They have betrayed their own folks for their very temporary gain in power. AOC and her gang have their knives out ready to do in Pelosi, Schumer and their old school. We are indeed in a brave new world.

Another pundit said something else. He said the Black impact to the race in Georgia was a constant and the real difference is the Hispanic vote increase. Remember that as the Dems open the border and lock in the Uniparty.

    • BeetleJuice99 January 6, 2021 at 10:53 am #

The actions of Trump cost the Republicans the senate. Plain and simple. This run-off would have been a cake walk for Purdue and Loeffler if Trump had stopped sabotaging Republicans at every turn. HIs little relief bill snafu to get back at Mitch was the straw that broke the camels back. He plays the game only for himself. Those that thought he had some deeper purpose were willfully blinded. He cared nothing about rooting out the deep state. He cared nothing about the people and the ‘good’ fight. He has always and will always only care about one thing, himself.

    • Yohannon January 6, 2021 at 1:52 pm #

Nice silver linings. Thanks. Being in the same Party with someone means you have to play nice with them – even after they have savaged you repeatedly as Romney did Trump. And in my book, he doubled down on that by marching with Burn, Loot, Murder.

Now he’s ruined himself and all sane people loathe him. Bravo!

Beetle: They intended to down Trump and Traditional Americans. If they didn’t do it one way, they would have done it another. Why blame Trump for fighting for us? Some could have done it better, perhaps. But none of the cunning types could have brought us all together. I mean c’mon – he’s up against a whole throng of geniuses of cunning who have been working together for generations. His own party was filled with people against him from the get go. He was always going to lose this. The knot can’t be untied. He’s going to take out his sword and cut it.
