The New York Times enjoyed its long-delayed tantric Trumpgasm so much today that it rolled out the full-page banner headline format usually reserved for the commencement of world wars. (They took the banner down before seven o’clock this morning.) For many of the cat-ladies employed as “reporters” at the once-august paper, it was the first Trumpgasm they’ve ever experienced in a lifetime of emotional displacement, over-eating, and furious knitting of pink polyester hats for the crusade to root out patriarchal wickedness.
This fulfillment of a years-long psychodrama, starring the feared and loathed occult persona of a gold-coiffed “Daddy” figure who once presided in the political household, came at the hands of dragon-slayer Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, archetype of the many long-oppressed victims worked to death in the bilges of our slave ship of state — now turned righteous Woke deliverer of cosmic vengeance!
This oh-so-satisfying climax, of course, is brought to you by the party of hoaxes, flimflams, and mandated death shots, so it’s amusing here on the sidelines to see The Times’s op-ed writers squirm with post-coital pleasure underneath the full-page Trumpgasmic headline. The lead editorial declares: “Even Donald Trump Should Be Held Accountable”— overlooking the utter absence of accountability that has been the norm in every recent insult to the nation’s dignity from wholesale and repeat election fraud, to six years of lawless depravity in the FBI, to overt support of Antifa and BLM street havoc, to the forced, deceitful administration of deadly “vaccines.”
“How a President’s Arrest Can Strengthen a Democracy,” honorary cat-lady Nicholas Kristof opined, repeating the bad-faith trope that his legions of Wokery have an interest in political rectitude — when, in fact, they are solely preoccupied with coercing, censoring, cancelling, persecuting, punishing, and defenestrating anyone who objects to their grifts and hustles. “Only love and a leap of faith can break through distrust. That is why a credible form of patriotism is so important right now,” explained The Times’s official Superintendent of Platitudes, David Brooks, to soothe consciences grated by this loutish gambit to shove a political adversary off the game board in advance of an election. “Joe Biden may not be your cup of tea,” Mr. Brooks summed up his civics lesson, “but he’s restored sanity, effectiveness and decency to the White House.”
Oh, really? That will surely come as news to casual observers who are watching the “Joe Biden” wrecking crew in wonder and nausea as they dismantle every institution and undermine every norm in American life. A more credible form of patriotism would be, say, a general strike against this cabal of degenerates, serving to remind the cabalists that at least half of the public still cares about the Constitution, the rule of law, and actual decency (not a depraved simulacrum of it). Otherwise, why would “Joe Biden’s” DOJ lock-up scores of Jan 6 protesters in the DC Jail for years on misdemeanor charges without taking them to law? Why does the “Joe Biden” State Department persist in destroying Ukraine and pounding billions in taxpayer money into the place to accomplish it? Why has the “Joe Biden” regime adopted the drag queen as its mascot? What part of all that evinces “sanity, effectiveness and decency”?
It’s a little early to assess the knock-on effects of the Left’s ecstatic Trumpgasm. A common theme flying across the Web is that Alvin Bragg’s jerry-rigged case will only make a martyr of Mr. Trump, neatly illustrating and personifying the government’s apparent war against its own citizens — making it clear that these Wokester-Jacobins will stop at nothing and no one to enforce the corrupt bureaucracy’s will against the public — and that the net result will be to ensure Mr. Trump’s reelection in 2024, if such a thing as a fair election is still conceivable after the skeezy Lawfare work-over the rules suffered back in Covid-time.
This comes at a time when that government — the “Joe Biden” regime — presides over the collapse of what’s left of America’s economy, the crack-up of the banking system, and the shocking loss of our country’s influence in the geo-political arena. All of that is manifesting as increased general hardship across the US population: a whole lot of citizens going broke, going hungry, losing their property and chattels to bankruptcy, losing their children to Woke-induced psychopathology, and — the final insult — being subjected to a medical racketeering operation that ruins and murders them when they get sick.
The Party of Chaos looks pretty smugly secure for the moment. If Alvin Bragg’s flimsy case in New York falls apart, as many expect, fellow partisans have grand juries lined up against Mr. Trump in other jurisdictions, waiting patiently to take their turns at the political assassination of this supposed “threat to our democracy.” Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi declared yesterday that Mr. Trump “has the right to prove his innocence.” She apparently forgot how our legal system is supposed to work, which is that defendants are presumed innocent and it’s the government’s burden to prove someone guilty.
As to qualifications to be president, the Constitution simply states: a presidential candidate must be a natural born citizen of the United States, a resident for 14 years, and 35 years of age or older. There is no language in Article II that might legally prevent someone convicted of a petty crime, fairly or otherwise, from running for the job. Which means that the Golden Golem of Greatness could be back … cue the cat-ladies’ righteous, wrathful meows.

Readers may have noticed my brief experiment with third-party advertisements on this blog. Although I was working with an independent ad management company, the ads ultimately originated from Google’s AdSense program.

It wasn’t long before Google shut down ads on my site and permanently blacklisted my domain from their program.
According to Google, Clusterfuck Nation violates their AdSense rules by publishing what they deem to be “Unreliable and harmful claims.”
The verboten content of my blog, in Google’s opinion, includes “claims that are demonstrably false and could significantly undermine participation or trust in an electoral or democratic process,” statements that promote “harmful health claims or relates to a current, major health crisis and contradicts authoritative scientific consensus,” and content that “contradicts authoritative scientific consensus on climate change.”
The good news is the DOJ is suing Google’s ass with an anti trust suit over its ad market monopoly and is calling for a corporate breakup. We’ll see if Google follows the Get-Woke-Go-Broke trend.
In the meantime, the cost of everything—including running this website—is going up. The number of tech support and tech feature requests has increased drastically over the last few months. I have to pay a small team to manage these requests.

I agree. The whole hate crime label is political theater. It’s a distinction without a difference. I always want to ask “Show me a case where someone murders a person they love. Of course the murderer hates the victim. That’s why they killed them!” It’s just the legal system’s way of placing more value on some lives over others.
The murderer is now being counted as a victim of the “mass shooting” — indeed, she is the biggest victim because of rampant anti-transsexual bias by those damn Christian kids and staffers she murdered because she was a fucking lunatic.

The problem with the hate crime label as I see it, is that hate is an emotion, and you are criminalizing an emotion.
“Hate crimes” are thought crimes.

The Left Progressive/Woke ideological class has confused and conflated political debate by redefining many words commonly used to communicate truth, resulting in falsehood. Therefore I offer the following definition, in the spirit of deception and obfuscation, just to call a spade a shovel:
Expert: “X”, an unknown quantity; “spurt”, a drip under pressure.
Jim is our “third hemisphere” speaking truth to power, elucidating what is (truth), which resides in a realm beyond words, strangely resulting in an inability to speak the truth. As John Denver sang, “We all know the truth is hard to come by. And if I spoke the truth, that’s not quite true”.
But one thing is for sure: the truth will be seen to work, while falsehood does not. What is is; what isn’t, isn’t. Alternatively, do what works; don’t do what doesn’t work. Do that (no easy thing), and your agency (an act of free will) will set you free.

He may be a good writer, but he is unsurpassed as an in-person commentator on reality. Greg Hunter may get a bit emotional and a bit off track from time to time, but his work is excellent, and his guest list is spectacular with folks like Catherine Austin-Fitts, Martin Armstrong, and our own dear host here as well.
Anyone who doubts that demonic scum have hijacked our government, our society, and our media had best watch any of the congressional hearings where lying scum like Mayorkas, Blinken, or Austin spew bullshit. I caught Jim’s appearance on USA Watchdog as well. Hunter is a funny fellow, but has very significant and important interviews with a variety of truth-tellers. I noticed a few times in the interview when Jim sort of had to play the “adult in the room” as Greg got a little “too excited”. However, as usual for Greg’s interviews, it was very informative.

Great point. I have often thought that global-warming-nope-it’s-really-climate-change, has been the government and wef’s first large scale trial run at pushing a false reality. The contortions that scientists were required to do, and that they willingly went along with, to create mathematical results which supported the narrative in order to continue their funding are legion.
The assassination of JFK is a great example of how a politically motivated criminal act perpetrated within our government could be covered up and then disguised as something else through propaganda and selective censorship.
We have seen this with 9/11, though the propaganda is not mathematical per se. The narrative was pushed by the government, trumpeted by the media, and all questions or dissenting views were shut down.
With Covid and the vaxxines, we are back to using scientists and medical professionals to do the dirty work of pushing a completely false narrative onto the public. And now, we are getting to watch a live streamed legal drama whereby our already imperfect legal system is contorted into a weapon of political coercion and control, not just for Trump, but for the Jan 6ers, and for anyone else out there who might have gotten ideas about public protest or organized opposition. The ensuing legal “analysis” may put popcorn vendors out of stock for the next year and a half.
Instead of “the revolution will be televised” it can be changed to “watch on live TV the US officially become a Banana Republic complete with censorship, arrest of political opponents, sexual deviancy celebrated (all variations welcome) and on-camera demonstrations of middle school children who can’t read or simple math!”
Logic, the means of Truth as a weapon? The Truth itself is just a weapon to these people.

Great post today! I’m only surprised it took them this long to go after Trump and in such a patently partisan and trivial way. After 2020 this was all a given, but this is the best they could come up with after all this time? I should add, it serves the Donald right for not following through with his campaign promise of an indictment of ‘She Whose Turn It Was’ and her mentor ‘Mulatto Jesus’ in 2017 based on much more substantial legal grounds. Not sure what to make of that. Is the Donald in on this too and the whole thing is some sort of ham-handed Shakespearean drama played out for our benefit? Time will tell, I guess.

@PeteAtomic, We don’t know how it will play out because the collapsing economy hasn’t collapsed yet to the point where vast numbers of people are both hungry and homeless. Many of them will be people who have never experienced any sort of real discomfort before. No amount of misinformation, disinformation, or diversion can distract people who are cold and hungry. Until we reach that point, and it affects those who are still comfortable (although pinched) nothing will change.
I know many people who are living very comfy lives right now, lives that appear solid. They have big houses, new cars, they buy new kitchen cabinets every few years, give their last year’s clothes to the Good Will. But none of it is paid for, and their ownership of everything down to their shoes is illusory. They carry a level of debt that would make me sick with terror at every moment of my life, and yet they don’t feel threatened. I don’t know what will become of them, but it won’t be pretty.

Related to the collapsing economy, but still worth a mention I think, is the continued global divestment of the US$. China and Brazil just announce a new trade deal this week that they will now trade using their own currencies, not the dollar. This trend is catching on and speeding up the dollar’s eventual loss of reserve currency status. This will severely disable the US economy.
Remember after 9/11 how the media was shrieking “where are the moderate Muslims?!” So where are the “moderate” transactivists condemning this violence? Nowhere to be found. But the NYT doesn’t seem to mind that too much.
The way the murder of three children and three teachers has been handled is shameful. The cover-up (because that’s exactly what it is) of this crime and the possible implication of the role testosterone played is nothing short of criminal in itself. Thousands of women are taking this medication and, if there are underlying mental health issues, an honest investigation needs to be done.
But instead we’ve got the usual ramped up gun control platitudes that divert from the motives of the shooter. I don’t own a gun, don’t want one and would be very happy to never have another shooting in the US. And I would support a ban on assault weapons.
But I have a question for the people who focus on this — if you gave an assault weapon to every person in Tennessee over the age of 18, how many people do you think would go into a school and kill 3 children and 3 teachers?

I have been totally convinced for quite some time that the FBI has a deep dirty finger in all of these mass shootings. I am a woman, but I do not run with the herd. It’s an isolating experience. I have written numerous times about supporting Trump, not agreeing with him on everything, and having voted for him twice.
I think its important to acknowledge that the users/commenters on this site, both female and male, are not representative of the general public. We just aren’t. You just aren’t. This is a compliment of the highest order to us all. We don’t all see the world exactly the same, but we are here, in large part, because we can see that something is terribly wrong on nearly every front of modern life.
Let’s not drag the conversation down to “women this” and “men that.” It’s counter productive. There are far too many people, male and female, who have TDS and will hate him until their last breath. Let’s focus on the fight at hand, part of which is just speaking truth against the anti-reality and part of which is preparing for what is coming.

Mrs_saj, Your point is true and well put. When those of us who comment here make a generalization that begins with “women this” or “men that” we’re clearly not talking about ourselves or others like us.
Yet it’s difficult to ponder some questions without the use of generalizations. If I want to understand what motivates a subset of people, I have to first identify them. Maybe there’s a thin line between a desire to understand and a need to affix responsibility or to blame – though, whatever happens, some person or group caused it and participated in it, and it’s hard to get around that or see a reason why we should.
I’ve gone a few rounds here with others on this issue, and never seem able to understand others or be entirely understood myself. Here’s an example that comes to mind: the trans industry. It appears to have been largely devised by men (in particular, the Pritzker family) and yet its foot soldiers and enforcers are much more likely to be women. I’d really like to know why that is. There’s plenty of blame to go around, but pointing a finger at men or women doesn’t motivate me. I want to understand the phenomenon. I point out the participation of women, because that’s the part I don’t understand. Men who are part of it seem to do so for the money; women for murky psychological reasons that are opaque to me.
I don’t quite know how to get around the problem of generalizations, but I do know that they trigger an immediate angry response. I don’t enjoy that, and I’d like to find some way to talk about things without provoking that response.
I hope people are starting to understand that the trans thing is a top down, GLOBAL initiative, and it is certainly male dominated, and the funding comes from some uber-rich men. As far as we know.
I think foot soldiers and enforces being frequently female has a lot to do with women tending to go into “helping” professions, and some of the women in the teaching profession actually think they are helping the trans minority.
I actually met a young woman running for the school board, who was trying to get SEL into the schools, and she looked a little gender confused herself, as she was dressed like a boy.
She seemed very earnest about wanting to help “the children’.
Not teach them, help them.
I felt like I should invite her in and maybe pat her on the shoulder and tell her “there there, things aren’t so bad.”

I completely agree with you. Generalization is part of everyday conversation and does serve a purpose for let’s say deductive reasoning or just recognizing patterns (not absolutes). We want to draw conclusions and learn. That’s healthy and productive. But the blame game is a useless distraction. Biden is in office, for example, whether he cheated or won fair and square, because too many people bought into his bullshit. Men and women. Whether they voted for him or helped him cheat. Men and women. I would much rather try to figure out how to uncover Biden’s bullshit to the masses than figure out which gender is more at fault. One of these exercises improves our country, the other just tears us apart. JohnAZ is too smart and knows this in his heart. I just wanted to say the silent part out loud.
If you figure out the trans movement or its supporters, let me know. I cannot conceive of a more unnatural, harmful, disingenuous use of people’s time, talents, potential, and energy for a less beneficial cause. The people pushing this agenda baffle and disgust me. The only categorization that matters is the one into which they all fit: pedophile. The other things they may have in common are only meaningful if they exceed the level of chance by quite a bit.

You’ve given me an opening to brag about our garden! Two days ago, we put down four 50′ rows of weed barrier, and yesterday we set out two 50′ rows of cabbage, brussels sprouts, collards, and kale, and use the remaining 25′ of the row to sow beets. (We needed to sow the last 50′ row with beets, but it got dark.)
In a couple of weeks, we can set out the tomatoes, peppers, tomatillos, and eggplant. Those were all started indoors, so I have a lot of plants that are at least 8″ tall for setting out. We only have 100′ set aside for tomatoes, so I don’t know what I’ll do with the extra plants.
There are also a lot of flowers that were started early indoors–too many. I’m still trying to figure out what to do with them. Then there’s all the other stuff that needs to be direct-seeded: beans, carrots, and maybe summer squash.
It’s that hopeful time of year! You always have some disappointments, and now and then you have a year that comes close to being disastrous, but that doesn’t happen too often. The long-term forecast is for a cool, rainy summer here. (Usually it’s as hot a blue blazes.) This could cause problems for the heat-loving plants. There was one year that I fought early blight on the tomatoes all summer–and lost.

Outside of a handful of Classics departments in small, private Christian colleges, I’m not sure that any person today receives an “education” as the West has known it historically. A mentor of mine maintains that one must be fluent in Latin and Greek to be considered educated. I am fluent in neither, and barely literate in English. I am a dolt, but I didn’t realize it until I was out of college. When I did realize it, I grew angry that my parents, grandparents, etc. had allowed this to happen. My mother had learned Latin in Catholic school and her parents knew Latin and Greek. My mother saw these traditions as silly old stuff from “dead white males.” I’m angry typing this.

I have really rethought my ideas about what it means to be educated. In fact what it even means to be intelligent. I don’t have a pat definition to share with you, but I can certainly say that people I formerly thought of as intelligent have been exposed as being quite something else.
Being well spoken is a quality that I have relied upon far too much and for far too long. Even being well read can give the wrong impression. Equally important is what is being read.
Never stop learning, RD. If its Latin or Greek that inspires you, there are courses that you can take even now, even from your home. Your English implies a great deal of literacy. And having finished college, you are now the master of your own curriculum. Take heart!

@RD, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to take three years of Latin in high school. My mother had almost no formal education, but she was a voracious reader and a real Grammar Nazi. It would have been inconceivable to her that anyone would want their children to be less educated than the previous generation. You’re right to be angry.
I’m in favor of teaching Latin, which should probably be started in the sixth grade. Greek scares me.

The idea was that this kind of education would give you the foundation to develop into a fully formed human being. Of course, back then, the full force of the culture supported the value of being a fully formed human being. I guess it’s remarkable that people even had a hazy idea about what a human being is.
Nock also griped that, by the 1920s, “education” had ceased to be education, as he understood it, and had become mere “training” in vocations. He believed this shift coincided with the closing of the frontiers, meaning that the possibilities for economic independence were being shut off, so you needed to suit yourself for “a job,” which would be conferred upon you by someone else (you hoped).

@Anthea, I’m sure this is long gone from high schools, but when I was in school we were given a choice of three paths in 8th grade: Academic, Business, General. You were free to choose any of these, but you wouldn’t be permitted to drag down the rest of the students. If you couldn’t keep up, you were obliged to choose another path. “General” was for the kids who were expected to become factory workers or manual laborers, waitresses, etc. It worked extremely well, and no one thought less of anyone for being more or less academically capable. Smart kids invariably chose Academic. Those who got poor grades due to boredom were suddenly challenged, and usually perked up considerably. Less able kids felt relieved that they weren’t being asked to perform above their abilities. The kids in Business genuinely were interested in the subject matter, so they didn’t have to be prodded.

I’m not advocating for universal education. Most kids should go until 8th grade or so and get on with their life’s work. Jefferson had a pretty good system worked out where children are culled along the way until only the top 5% attend a university. That is about right. My own conspiracy theory is that this represents a hamfisted attempt to provoke any unstable elements on the fringes of the MAGA movement to riot in the streets or commit violent acts so that Biden and his scurvy crew can declare another “insurrection” and begin running the country on a Lincoln model of ignoring the constitution entirely and ruling by executive orders, emergency orders, dictatorial orders – whatever – so long as they are just orders. The idea being to destabilize the country and plunge it into a low-level civil war that will allow these freaks to leverage the military and LE apparatus of the federal government to tighten their political grip on the levers of power.
Our side should simply remain calm and allow Trump’s lawyers to carve up this sham indictment like Alvin Bragg does his Thanksgiving Turkey each year. I am confident that Trump will be acquitted, as he was in both of the bogus impeachments.
The best revenge will be re-electing Trump in 2024. The real work for the Right over the next 18 months will be to get ready to fight the Democrats tooth and nail using their own dirty play book. Two can play at the game of ballot harvesting in Democrat controlled States. Meanwhile, we tighten the election laws in GOP dominated states to prevent any problems in areas we dominate. (There is always the risk of RINO stabs in the back!)
GOP controlled State governments will also have to continue to find creative ways to obstruct and impede the dictatorial endeavors of the DC esconced Party of Chaos.
This is not unlike the Cold War. It’s a twilight struggle. The Cold Civil War goes on. Let’s see if we can keep it cold until we finally wear-out the bastards, just as we finally did to the Soviets.

The tragedy of Trump is that even if he got re-elected, he wouldn’t make a damned difference. He doesn’t have the clear-sighted ruthlessness to do what needs to be done. Oh, and he’ll pick entirely the wrong people. No-one should be looking towards DC for hope. The country is going down and the only hope is secession and rebuilding from the ground up.
Why would they let us rebuild?
If they can do all this, they can and will stop him from being elected, by hook or by crook. I’m afraid it’s too late to vote our way out of this. We just have to wait until it falls apart. In the meantime, conservative states and governors have a key role to play, that of preservation of our people and culture.

If voting involves six weeks of early voting, mail in ballots and Dominion machines, then I am through voting. The only way to have a legitimate election is to go back to a national election day, one day and one day only to vote and count the votes. Paper ballots with elimination of electronic voting. If you have a legitimate reason that you can’t get to the polls of election day, and they open early and stay open late, you can get an absentee ballot, just one, that you had to sign for when you received it.
If you still can’t make it to the polls on election day (which used to be a holiday), then you probably should not vote.

Something many people may not know, people (mainly women) who work tirelessly in the grueling field of animal welfare, have a problem finding enough volunteers to help with the often thankless task.
They often have to rely on help from utter lunatics, which gives the women a bad name.
Isn’t the elevation of animals to, or above, the status of humans sheer lunacy? The obsession so many have with their dogs and cats is really disturbing. The worst of it is how police dogs are considered “officers” and if you kick a German Shepherd who is eviscerating your nuts, you get charged with a felony. God forbid you shoot the fucking dog, they’ll have an actual funeral, for a dog. They’ll shut the streets down and every cop, paramedic, and fire company in a 100-mile radius will show up. In my town, they erected a statue to a police dog. That’s some real lunacy.
I don’t see it that way. Some see taking care of a gift from God as a normal moral choice.
As far as people’s obsession with their pets, yes, I find young couples getting dogs instead of having children somewhat disturbing, but it is not them I am disturbed with, it’s the elements in our society that making a normal thing like having a family unattractive to so many.
I’ve owned dogs my whole life. They can be good companions and taking care of an animal is good learning for a kid. That being said, they don’t have souls, they don’t go to heaven, and ultimately, they are property.
A dangerous line was crossed when police dogs began being treated as “officers” and people started being thrown in jail because their horses were emaciated. Is a canary a coal miner?

For some young people, a dog is preferable to a child. Dogs are always grateful and affectionate, usually obedient, don’t cost that much, and don’t get in the way of obsessive self-actualization. You can have a dog and continue to be as selfish as when you were an adolescent, with no consequences. I see it as part and parcel of the desire to never become adults, which is why God provides us with children to begin with.

An episode of Star Trek once characterized dogs as the “subservient quadripeds” of humans. Be that as it may – dogs are more loyal than most people and a dog will love you unconditionally – something that is not true of people in general.
So, yeah, we give dogs a lot of special dispensations and tend to anthropomorphize them – but I say that they are largely deserving of this special treatment. We are partners with canines in a way that we are not with almost all other animals on this planet. That would include felines, who also do not rise to the same level of esteem as a dog in my mind. (Apologies to all the cat ladies reading this….)

You make a good point. Rats, dogs, monkeys, horses are all mammals too but none have the ability to make music, read, or make art. None have cultivated crops, built complex homes or drawn pictures of humans on cave walls. If humans don’t have a divine spark then they’re fair game to be treated as lab rats.

Violence seems to be the only option now. Government figures are worthless.
Always take care when endorsing violence. There is a time and place for it (1776, 1941, etc) but in most instances if you violate a government’s monopoly on violence and the majority of the people in the country don’t agree with what you are doing then you end up in jail or dead.
We are obliged to pursue change at the ballot box until such time that government violations of inalienable rights become so egregious and extreme that a revolutionary revolt manifests itself organically.
You will know that we have reached such a point when the cops, military, judges, state governors, sheriff’s, etc all finally give the tyrant wannabes the big middle finger and refuse to enforce their “edicts.”
This is how Ceaucescu was overthrown in Rumania in 1989. The Revolutionary War was successful because the colonials had statesmen to lead them. They had George Washington, Jefferson and other wealthy land owners to keep the Revolution focused and going in the right direction. Without a statesman to lead the revolution ends up like France’s revolution. Nothing more than a blood bath where everyone turns on their neighbor and public educations become the nightly TV shows.
We need statesmen and stateswomen to rise up and lead.
I don’t support war in any of its forms but I do support justice. The time eventually will come where the politicians will finally be pulled from their offices and will swing from the lampposts for what they have done to their people. The question is, how and when does it come to that point. When we are all starving and have lost everything and have nothing left to lose? This is what I fear.

Case in point, Trey Gowdy. I really thought he was a true patriot. What did I find? He was notably absent from the House on the day of a pivotal vote (sorry can’t remember which). All he seemed to be good at was righteous indignation and yelling questions across a desk. Questions that were dodged, people who were never subpoenaed, people that were never held accountable. And he is just one of many. I marvel at the clips of these hearings showing how mad everyone is but nothing ever gets accomplished.
It’s no wonder this country is so adrift. The people who represent us are all really tough guys until their donors yank their leash.

We’ve had some coverage here, but, as Beryl says, it’s all about the retirement age, so most Brits have little sympathy as retirement age here is pushing towards 68. Many Brits still think French people are lazy so-and-so’s who take long lunch hours and want to retire early.
In fact, the French have to work 40 years to get a full pension, and most people have been working the ‘journée continue’ (normal day with no more than an hour for lunch) since the 70s, when I worked there. At that time, we worked a 40-hour week (lowered to 35 by Mitterand), while the UK had been working 35 hours for years.

I also rarely watch women’s basketball but because of all the hype about this Caitlin Clark chick I decided to tune in. I arrived in the middle of the second quarter.
The women play four 10 min quarters while the men play two 20 min haves. It adds up to the same total play time (40 mins) so I don’t know why the women do 4 quarters.

Beryl it’s hard to find any news whatsoever on the war in Ukraine; with the MSM anyway it seems to have dropped off the radar. I mean news is available but you have to really endeavor to find it, and it is to be found from European news sources, Al Jazeera, and a few sites from India.You no longer can simply turn on network news and find out how the war on the eastern front is going, not that they were giving you a true picture to begin with.
In another matter, Ford has raised the price of its Ford F150 Lightening EV pickup to $61,999 ~ for the basic, sh#tbox golfcart, model. Just 2 years ago this truck was introduced as the “Affordable EV” at $41,999. Adding any kind of accessories jack up the price considerably, so that very few of these vehicles can be found for less than $100,000 on the lot. Just the same, Ford claims there is high demand, and they will be ramping up production soon (as soon as they can access enough rare earth metals necessary) However, prices will not be coming down. My opinion is that a hard pressed American buying public will not be able to afford a $100,000 EV pickup, specially one that cannot plow snow or tow loads very well. With its 300 mile range under ideal conditions what is it good for ~ aside perhaps Suzy Cream Cheese, trophy wife in Greenwich, Ct who wants to “Go Country”, but be “Environmentally Conscious” at the same time, to drive to the spa, and then haul a few bags of groceries home from the vegan market?
They aren’t worried about the insufficient grid for these vehicles because they don’t intend for us to have any vehicles.
Agreed. Their marketing tells the tale. They’re looking for upscale buyers who have enough money and options in life that they can be “environmentally conscious” at the expense of practicality. In other words: virtue signalers.
Out west here, EV’s are never going to be practical. Many people out here would be using that 300 mile range up daily or even less commuting (typical used car mileage out here after three years: 75-100K miles), and there simply aren’t enough charging stations out there or time available to use them to support all that nonsense. Not to mention the price of all that electricity would go through the roof with that much extra demand, so there goes the “savings.”
I think the lab is embracing them for their vehicles used onsite, which might be one of the better uses for these lead sleds. Short drives with a lot of downtime to recharge and government paid for electricity. And beaucoup virtue signaling!

Well, if the guy is a poor and clumsy lover, lazy, selfish, boring, homely looking etc. it could be that the only way he’s gonna get laid is by using force or paying for it.
