Clusterfuck Nation

It’s looking a little bit like the nation’s attention to the Republican Trump-O-Rama Fest this week will get shoved rudely aside by Hurricane Laura, currently tracking to make a direct hit on New Orleans and then beat a path up the south-central USA, drowning croplands clear into Kentucky and Ohio. The internal quarrels of the GOP will have to take a backseat to disaster relief. It might be a political blessing for the president, unless he blunders through the event George W. Bush style — remember “Brownie, you’re doing a heck of a job,” apropos of then FEMA chief Michael Brown, who herded thousands into the NoLa Superdome, which quickly turned into a Lord of the Flies horror show of administrative incompetence.

I know: just what America needs, another Biblical-scale natural disaster, with Covid-19 apparently fermenting in the air-conditioning units all over Dixieland, and plenty of summertime left to breed up new plagues of mosquito-borne illness in the wake of Laura’s flooding. And, of course, the hurricane season is only beginning. Such are the Job-like trials of America as we slide into something that quacks like collapse.

Could the country even stand another full-on political convention after the Democrats’ nauseating extravaganza last week? The nation is so marinated in agitprop, disinfo, and straight-up mendacity that all the intelligence has been leached out of the population, perhaps even the will to live. A Republican convention complete with the usual showboating might deplete the remaining oxycontin supply across the land as unemployed millions, mulling over rents overdue and unmet car payments, resort to vodka, Xanax, cough syrup, and airplane glue to quell the pain induced by unbridled political bullshit. As BLM might put it: “Know whum sayin’?”

Speaking of BLM, on Sunday one Jacob Blake, 29, was apparently shot in the back by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin, while getting into a car. The incident inspired a night of BLM rioting and looting in downtown Kenosha, with excellent prospects for violence to spread to other cities. Mr. Blake was hospitalized and survives, so far. He was not complying with police instructions in the process of his arrest. He had been previously arrested in 2015 and charged with brandishing a gun in a barroom. Upon his arrest then, the gun was found on the floor of his car. In the latest incident, Kenosha police were responding to a domestic abuse complaint. There was an active warrant out on Mr. Blake.

Also over the weekend, police in Lafayette, Louisiana, shot and killed 31-year-old Trayford Pellerin outside a convenience store he was entering while brandishing a knife. They had followed him from another convenience store in the vicinity where he “created a disturbance with a knife.” Mr. Pellerin apparently refused to comply with police orders to get on the ground. Ben Crump, a civil rights lawyer hired to represent the Pellerin family during the investigation into the shooting, said, “His family believes that he was suffering a mental illness crisis and what he needed was a helping hand. But what he got was what looks like 11 bullets.” His mother told the Associated Press that Mr. Pellerin had sought therapy for social anxiety.

What to make of all this? The common denominator seems to be that a failure to follow the instructions of police can lead to serious injury or even death, especially if you are carrying a weapon or have a previous arrest record involving a gun. But never mind that inconvenient reasoning. Two fresh martyrs on the scene assure a new round of mostly peaceful protests. The Democratic Party is sure to play up the tragic injustice of police violence against black Americans. The riots and looting will continue until the un-black demographic of America gets its collective mind right and abolishes police altogether. Or, perhaps, instead, decides to not get hustled anymore and votes against the race hustlers.

So far, candidate Joe Biden hasn’t offered any commentary on these incidents. Or on anything else going on since his exhausting performance last Thursday. The Hurricane Laura situation plus the Republican Convention will give him another weekend to rest-up in the basement. Long about mid-September, voters may begin to wonder if his handlers will ever subject him to any public appearance, or scrutiny of the news media — most of which will function anyway as an arm of his campaign press office, with or without the candidate. Sometime in October, if he’s still alive, Mr. Biden may emerge from his hole in the ground like fellow Pennsylvanian, Punxsutawney Phil. If he sees his shadow, it’ll be back to the basement until Nov. 3 when the ghastly business is finally over. Or else, and pretty soon, the party will have to anoint a replacement.

I want to believe that Donald is doing his best to make the USA great again. He has some good in him somewhere.
A man out of time, he needs to move on. The replacement will be no better, and hopefully not worse. I spoke with my post man today when he delivered the mail. The USPS is one of the few things that actually work. He was very upset about the current situation.
And if the Post Office goes down, well then, we are all screwed.

You probably don’t want laws and policies that are too radical favoring one particular political group while alienating other political groups? This would probably create societal rifts that a potential dictator could exploit? People might get pissed off and want a strong leader to end the anarchy and bullshit?

“ Bonaparte’s own speech was short and devoid of exaggerated rhetoric, but his concluding words—“When the happiness of the French people will be secured by better organic laws, all of Europe will become free”—conveyed the message that he did not regard the Constitution of 1795 as satisfactory. Bonaparte gave a picture of what he meant by “better organic laws” in a letter addressed to the leaders of the “Ligurian Republic” he had established in Genoa. In the letter, he blamed revolutionary policies for having alienated the Church and the nobility in France, thereby creating endless domestic conflicts, and called for “coolness, moderation, wisdom, reason in the conception of decrees.” At a moment when the Directory was intensifying its rhetoric against priests and former aristocrats, its leading general was clearly thinking in very different terms.10”

“EYE TO EYE” is a compendium of cause & effect of America/Israel events good, bad & ugly in the last 100 years. Authored by William Koenig, an accredited White House Journalist with a seat on Air Force One.

Jared Kushner has a “Peace Plan” involving meddling with Genesis and Joshua Covenant borders of Israel. Best of intent, but Mr.Jared Kushner is not savvy on the Divine promises regarding Israel. Genesis 12 V-2 is one of many lines regarding interactions with Israel. The Deal Of The Century is aptly named, for it shall be one of the last significant American Treaties by the Union of States.

Unravelling of the American social fabric along with “Biblical” weather impacts (Derecho preceding twin hurricanes) to food production are last warnings to back off from the affairs of Israel and meddling with her boundaries. Additionally, BDS is another darling of the Democratic party and academia, as a method of squeezing Israel. There are consequences underway for all hands A cornered Israel brings to mind the “Samson Complex”, illustrated in the Book of Judges Chapter 16 and verses 23 thru following. Be sure America, Russia and the usual parties in the game shall feel the heat from the Middle East showdown.

Maybe our fine host, Mr. James Kunstler, can do a review of “EYE TO EYE” as Summer 2020 plays out….

If one is “not complying with police instructions”, does this mean that one is now subject to being shot and killed by police?

It certainly increases the likelihood of that outcome, especially if resistance is violent. Your rhetorical question is quite stupid. — JHK Admin.

That has always been the case. The issue is how far the situation has to escalate before the bullets fly.

” The issue is how far the situation has to escalate before the bullets fly.”

        OWL,

The metric is really simple. A person in dudgeon, failing to respond to police and when brandishing a weapon, MUST not be allowed arm’s length of innocents, less they be harmed.

It is that “Protect and Serve” thang….

Since I saw the horrified diners sitting outside in Washington D.C. being literally harassed by BLM “protesters” right in their faces with “Raise your fist! Raise your fist….or else!” I have asked at least five others what they would do under the same intimidating circumstances and every person said they would stand their ground and, if they believed they should NOT give in to threats from a mob (and that WAS a mob), that they would refuse to raise a fist in support of such disgusting, anti-American tactics, regardless of the “cause”:

        https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-8667833/DOMINIC-SANDBROOK-Washington-DC-diner-tormented-Black-Lives-Matter-mob.html

I really do hope Mr. Kunstler will address this threatening display of intimidation in his next post.

    • JohnAZ August 24, 2020 at 11:36 am #

      Come on.

Police are trained to shot to kill if it looks like a perp is trying to get a weapon. If they cannot see what is happening, like a guy getting in a car, they will be apt to be liable to shoot first and ask questions second.

My dad taught me to respect cops, to do as you are told as society gives them the choice of life and death. You want to live, shut up and do as you are told.

I wonder how many of these instances are caused by the use of drugs. I know PCP makes folks violence. Perp violence makes certain death.

Are you a natural born slave?

        It most certainly does not.

When you see a gun drawn at you by policemen, it is prudent to follow their instructions. One of them may be having a bad day and he might give you one if you do not comply.

        • michael August 24, 2020 at 5:00 pm #

It is even more prudent to see to it that they cannot point a gun at you unless that is clearly warranted.
Or do you like guns pointed at you?

          • elysianfield August 24, 2020 at 6:17 pm #

            “clearly warranted.”

            Michael,
Perhaps you can give us some concrete examples of that which is “clearly warranted”? In California, the test is what a “reasonable and prudent” man would do.

Events are working out perfectly, as planned.

Black people rioting in the streets to remind whites who they should hate. And in the process divert attention from the unemployment checks that didn’t arrive or the stimulus checks that were forgotten while Congress goes on summer vacation. Or the 3 trillion $$$ poured into the open maw of Wall Street to pump up the portfolios of the few thousand billionaires that really matter.

The CORVID19 genetically engineered virus has swept the world at the perfect time to act as cover for the collapse of the Ponzi finalization of the US economic system.

The problem is not that people are afraid of the police. Clearly, they are not. It’s that the police are afraid of people — people like Blake and Pellerin, who are armed and violent. Police want to go home to their families at the end of their shift. Not to the cemetary.

    • Sredni Vashtar August 24, 2020 at 12:24 pm #

If Blacks are unable to accept police authority, instead fighting to the death of themselves or others, in what sense are they Americans? Even the ones that don’t act like this support those that do – Why? Because they are not loyal. Not citizens except in an empty, technical sense.

Now, not “not”. There is no other answer.

Imagine that you cheated on your wife and got caught. You beg forgiveness and she says Ok, but she doesn’t really mean it. She hasn’t forgiven and she won’t stop tormenting you. She enjoys it at some level. Maybe she really tried to forgive you, but she just can’t. What would you do? You would have to leave her. The real marriage was long gone. In its place was something else….

        • ThorsHammer August 25, 2020 at 11:32 am #

Simple solution. Legalize slavery once again. Only this time only allow Blacks to own slaves, drawn from the paleface European gene pool. .

  5. Zoltar August 24, 2020 at 10:12 am #

We are not faced with a binary choice, between letting a guy brandishing a knife ignore the police and putting eleven bullets in him. There are plenty of non-lethal ways to subdue someone and, even if he is a chronic menace, they are preferable to shooting him, if only because they are also preferable to having this country burned to the ground.

    • stelmosfire August 24, 2020 at 10:16 am #

Have you ever heard of the “21 foot rule”?

    • DrTomSchmidt August 24, 2020 at 10:38 am #

Maybe we could use batons, like the police did in Rodney King’s case? Oops, that got banned after bad video.

Maybe we could subdue a mentally ill or drugged person with a knee in the side of the neck? Oops, police using that technique from the police training manual are now on trial for murder.

By contrast, few of The police, even in Minnesota, who blow people away are tried for murder. It happens too fast to get on any video but bodycam.

Expect a lot more of it.

    • Urinthe Village August 24, 2020 at 10:46 am #

      Z –

Sounds like comfortable armchair police theorizing. When the bad guy has a lethal weapon, it is reasonable to counter with a better lethal weapon. An assailant with a knife can close a twenty foot distance in the time it takes to draw and aim and fire a gun.

What are the alternatives? Nightstick? Hand to hand with a club vs a knife might be a fair fight, but we are not talking about the formulation of a fair fight. A little more skill or luck and the knife wielder might win. Taser? Not recommended for subduing someone with a deadly weapon because 1) it might not land in a way to function, 2) Most Tasers have only one shot (some have two), and 3) after it fails, you surely don’t have time to proceed to whatever plan B is. Pepper spray?
      Seriously.

Theorizing on a Monday morning about spectra of alternatives that might have been used against someone with a deadly weapon ignoring police instructions allows lofty ruminations that are not available to someone charged with protecting innocent people inside a store in real time. Think a little.

      • shotho August 24, 2020 at 12:56 pm #

Was the man in Lafayette LA threatening the police with the weapon? If not, I’m sure there were other ways of restraint.

        • Kim August 24, 2020 at 10:15 pm #

          @ shotho

“I am sure there are other ways of restraint.”

Why are you so “sure”? Do you have any experience in the field? Do you have any training? Is it someone’s else’s life you are putting at risk or your own?

Have you ever tried to restrain or cuff a resisting man? If a man resists, it will take four men to cuff him.

Have you ever been rushed by someone in a violent confrontation? If he has a knife, you will be stabbed multiple times before you can even move.

There is a basic rule in self defense doctrine: Actor beats Reactor. The one who goes first has a huge advantage. It is almost impossible for a defender to evade or defend himself from an attack if he is not already moving.

Watch the recent fight videos on YouTube with people being assaulted. What do they have in common? The bad guy usually wins. Why? Because he goes first with a sudden attack.

You can’t let them get the first mover advantage or you will be dead.

          Watch the video.

In this case, a highly agitated man with a record for violence that included gun threats refuses to stay in place and obey lawful commands and instead goes to his car, opens the door, bends over and reaches inside…

…if he turns around with a gun in his hand, you will be dead. No ifs or buts, you will be dead.

As of July 13 this year, 32 police officers in the USA have been shot and killed by criminals in the line of duty. That is a 28% jump on the same period in 2019.

Have you seen that widely reported? Where are the riots?

So, what do you suggest for this situation?

No chokeholds. No weight on the diaphragm. No batons. No pain compliance. No ballistic force (striking).

It’s a fraud. Why should an arrest situation escalate into a life-or-death self defense situation?

It is by design. Because, as Lenin told us, “worse is better”.

If the police have all of their less lethal and non-lethal tactics for obtaining compliance and arrest taken from them, then of course ultimately only lethal methods of self-defence remain.

So again, how would you – with all of your experience and knowledge – train police better?

          Maybe they should just die?

    • benr August 24, 2020 at 11:00 am #

Yea you obviously not only don’t know any cops but have not been around any either.
A skilled knife wielder can carve up someone with a gun pretty damn fast.
Rather be shot then stabbed and gutted.
The default for cops in any altercation is to one up them.
Fists = cop pulling taser, baton, dog or pepper spray
Any of the above or knife = cop pulling gun.

      • Rupert August 24, 2020 at 1:07 pm #

Yep. This isn’t some sort of Hollywood production, it’s maintenance of civil order. Police have a hard job and as we saw with the CHOP/CHAZ, they’re rather professional compared to what you’d get in their absence.

Is it really that hard to comply? If you play stupid games you are wont to win stupid prizes.

When I was learning martial arts, one of the exercises we did involved rubber knife fighting. Although our lives weren’t in danger, every one of us was “killed“ in the exercise every time we did it. I gained mucho respect for knives then. We also practiced suicide moves, techniques where we were up against a wall with a gun to our heads. I felt more confident with those exercises than With being in a knife fight.

Every day in national parks and in wildlife refuges around the world powerful, dangerous creatures like lions and bears are managed humanely and safely, yet guys who watch too many cop programs on TV simply cannot imagine any alternative to filling an uncooperative human being with bullets. And not, as Biden suggests, “in the leg,” but with multiple lethal shots.
Have it your way, guys, and watch your cities burn, because that is what you are really choosing.

MOST Animals want nothing to do with humans and will gladly leave the area if given the chance to do so with minimal confrontation.
Not so with the Marxist agitating scum on display they want the chaos to destroy the nation and bring on the free shit.
The only thing they understand is that power comes from the barrel of a gun and the more people give into their demands the more they will act out like spoiled children.
Some will stop acting out if arrested and jailed but many don’t care about jail as that is three squares a day and somewhere to sleep.
For them a free trip to the morgue is most likely the only thing that will stop their type or being removed from our country and told not to return.

Apparently, the racist irony you display in comparing blacks to wild animals escapes you. Anon.

Suppose after your wife calls the police on you for beating her (again), they show up and ask you to turn around and allow yourself to be handcuffed. My guess is that even if you had objections to what they were doing, you would comply. Or would you ignore them and storm off to your vehicle where you had a gun, and expect them to maybe use a tranquilizer dart, like they do in wildlife refuges?

The Left believes Man is an animal, straight up. And although that’s incorrect, we all obviously have an animal side or nature, some of us more than others. Obviously Blacks have a very strong lower nature, but if they are human, we must hold them accountable – and we do. The Left that forgives them for everything are the ones who are treating them as less than human.

So you are 180 degrees wrong – as wrong as one can be.

        • elysianfield August 24, 2020 at 6:13 pm #

          Zoltar,
Animals have rules of conduct, which we understand and tolerate…when they become sociopathic, we put them down.

I do not watch cop programs. Filling “uncooperative” humans with bullets is a method strictly regulated in all law enforcement agencies. There are rules. When the ferals break those rules, sometimes they are put down.

The cities will burn until competent authority decides otherwise.

One thing I find incredibly funny in all of this is that no matter what one thinks of Trump, the Uniparty cannot come up with a single candidate that appears more convincing.

And, to rub salt in the would, this analysis takes into account the fact that the Trump Biden is running against is the absurd McMedia-created character that lives rent free in the heads of wokesters and those of the lowest of IQ.

They can’t even find someone to take on THAT.

Jim, you are pretty tone deaf to the racial issue in the country. Unfortunately, you come across as old white guy demographic that just doesn’t get it. Just short of “get off my lawn!”.

As a white (Canadian) married to an American black woman I have heard and seen some of the issues first hand. Sure, there is crime and dysfunction, but usually it doesn’t require the use of lethal force.

The default cannot be go for the gun.

How do you know whether Jacob Blake was reaching for a gun in his car? You don’t.
As for Mr. Pellerin, he was tased and he still would not stop or comply. Failing to comply with police instructions when you’re under arrest is foolish and reckless. This has nothing to do with being “an old white guy,” and if you aver to that slur again I will bounce your Canadian ass off this blog. — JHK Admin

    • DrTomSchmidt August 24, 2020 at 10:41 am #

That’s the default you get as a result of taking away batons, chokeholds, and knees on the neck. I agree it’s horrible.

      • cc rider August 24, 2020 at 1:07 pm #

Yes, and the taser is what largely replaced the baton. Bad idea in my opinion. Just look at how many times tasers don’t work when a large man is amped up on drug accentuated adrenaline. Then the cop(s) end up just having to use their guns. A baton used to work wonders at bringing motherfuckers to heel.

And yes I said ‘to heel’, for any pussified SJWs reading this. Deal with it. If you act like an out of control dog then you need to be brought to heel.

As late as 2016, in that bygone era, the run of the mill canadian intellectual was still opining that Canada was a moral superpower and that the world needed more Canadas.
For one, the woke movement has triumphed among the intelligenstsia, that now sheepishly admit or agressively proclaim that Canada has always been a genocidal colonizing power and the blacks have always had it at least as bad in Canada as anywhere in the US.
For two, the changing demographics of Canada or more specifically Toronto has generated the same kind of gun criminality that plagues all large US cities. Have a look at shootings in Toronto:

      BC,

And it usually does not end up with deadly force. Fewer than 20 such shootings of blacks happen each year in a nation with 270 million interactions with police. It takes a special guy to be an active and violent criminal who then acts the same way when in an arrest situation. How many police are killed each year by criminals? Now that’s a question. I also think it is a damned shame and an ultimate loss for black people when all the attention and sympathy goes to their dregs. There are so many articulate and well meaning blacks we could listen to. Is it a conspiracy to hold black people down and perpetuate white avoidance of blacks?

Because Whites are “the cancer of humanity” (Susan Sontag). And what do you with cancer? You get rid of it. You kill it. All this has been coming for a long time. They laid the ground work exhaustively, in thousands of campus over multi generations.

      • Kim August 24, 2020 at 10:51 pm #

The “old white guy” meme is part of the demographic-changing-of-the-guard demoralization agitprop that paints a picture wherein the passing of white America from its position of cultural hegemony and old/racist attitudes will be the inevitable outcome of the passing of the Boomer generation and ever-falling white numbers.

This storyline has been advanced both by the long-time marxist water carrier Clint Eastwood (an anti-white, anti-male cuck propagandist of very long standing) and famously by Hilary Clinton (sorry on phone and can’t search clip).

This is a very important meme. Despite the fact that whites remain the largest demographic, it is hard to find white male leads in movies these last ten years. Especially as action heartthrobs. White males are represented by geriatrics like Stallone and other superannuated white actors.

The message is “The day of the white male has passed. Get back to your meth.”

But that day is not in fact yet over. And if it is, and blacks think that they are going to inherit anything, especially over the Latinos, then that’s just that Dunning Kruger unjustified overconfidence at work again.

Blacks don’t realize that in this fight they are just shit on the end of a stick. When the fighting is done, they will simply be cast aside again, with disgust.

      • SW August 24, 2020 at 4:15 pm #

Most people would prefer nonviolent methods to force & we don’t hear about the many times police have been able to defuse a potentially dangerous situation, only the times it’s gone wrong. And I don’t consider them to be angels either. They do need to be stopped if they use the protection of their badge to bully or injure the people they are supposedly protecting. There’s no denying there are police who are trigger-happy & when they walk into any situation there’s the possibility of violence. Most police are killed (I read ten years ago) answering domestic disturbance calls.

I have never been arrested or hand cuffed. And it was not difficult. when I have been stopped by the police it has always been for expired registration or inspection, and the police have been very nice about it. I worked around the Police for 20 years as long as you follow their orders and are polite they are pretty nice. I trust the Police Officers judgment if he goes for the gun there had to be a good reason.

    • beantownbill. August 24, 2020 at 12:53 pm #

I always was a bit of a hustler (in the good sense). Years ago I purchased a whole bunch of concert tickets to sell. I made my profit and started to drive home. At that time I was driving a 17 year-old, beat-up big Chevy – lots of dents and scratches and the inside was very messy. I had very long hair tied into a pony tail, hadn’t shaved for a while, was wearing a tight t-shirt and had $5,000 in cash packed into a fanny pack around my waist.

I was doing 72 in a 60 mph zone and sure enough a state policeman was right behind me, lights flashing. After I pulled over, the cop got out of his car, looked at me and placed his hand on his holster. Now, despite appearances, I was just a nice Jewish boy who never had any bad contact with the police. Stupid me: My car was a mess so I decided to try to neaten it up a little to make a good impression. Bad decision.
I was supposed to leave my hands on the steering wheel so the cop could see them. He ran over to my car and started to draw his pistol. I freaked, not knowing why he was doing this. I yelled at him and asked why he was drawing his gun. I felt the situation was getting out of hand; it felt surreal.

Anyway, the whole thing got straightened out and I didn’t even get a speeding ticket. My friends later told me I was an idiot. I was in a beater car, I looked real rough and I was fiddling around with my hands where he couldn’t see them. What was the statie supposed to think? After that incident, I soon after got rid of my car, kept my new one clean, cut my hair, shaved regularly and dressed well. I haven’t had any more incidents with the police – except for many speeding tickets, unfortunately.

LOL! Got arrested in my second floor apartment as a 19 year old GI on a drunk and disorderly charge in Wahiawa HI in 1977. We were jammin’ to Ted Nugent Double Live Gonzo on a shitty period boom box fueled by copious amounts of alcohol and youthful exuberance when the Korean neighbors had finally had enough and called the cops. As the cops pulled just below the windows we were all singing and shouting out of, Terrible Ted launched into “Stanglehold,” easily the most bitchin’ song on the entire album, a key musical phrase of which was the lyric “come on, come on up.” Such an unfortunate turn of phrase for our particular circumstance!

One thing led to another and of course HPD followed our musical injunction by comin’ on up and delivering one of their own. “Shut this shit down, youngster” they demanded on their first request. I said OK and politely shut the door and rejoined the festivities. The second request a few seconds later was not nearly so pleasant. The cuffs behind the back and bouncing around the paddy wagon defenseless to prevent forward falls on the way to the drunk tank was surely unpleasant enough, but the technique that stuck with me most was the simple application of the nightstick under the jaw every time I opened my mouth to say a word. Not even hard, mind you, but MOST effective all the same!

Surprisingly, the 1st Sgt was mostly bemused by the whole incident when he came to bail me out several hours later. No ass chewings or nothing! Needless to say, when the cops showed up at court for me to plead out and pay my fine a few days later I was nothing but respectful. Learnt my lesson with that little adventure, I did.

  12. DrTomSchmidt August 24, 2020 at 10:34 am #

In the Rodney King case, the jurors shown the whole tape of the incident voted to acquit. No matter: a carefully edited tape showed cops clubbing Rodney King like A baby seal, so use of nightsticks was gradually banned. Eric Garner died after a chokehold. Then George Floyd stated about 10 times before anyone kept a knee on his neck that “he couldn’t breathe”, but we only saw the video that came after, because the DA in Minnesota withheld the police body cam video.

Essentially, we have removed any method of restraint other than guns from police tactics by inflammatory video. The common denominator is that we cannot, as a society, deal with carefully edited video meant to inflame us. And it has brought us to a very bad place, like the video of Serbian “concentration camps” back in the 90s, later shown to be utter fabrications.

Maybe a law prosecuting video lying by omission?

      Dr. Tom,

Hear, hear. Holding media accountable for deliberate false and twisted reporting is overdue. It will be part of dismantling the deep state, for whom they work.

      • DrTomSchmidt August 24, 2020 at 12:18 pm #

In the case of Floyd, they had the video that first showed. They did not get the bodycam until well after we had launched riots, looting, and disaster. That wasn’t the media’s fault, but rather the fault lies with Keith Ellison, DA for MN.

By contrast, in Rodney King they had full video, and in Serbia they literally had to frame things to make it look like emancipated people were being held behind barbed wire fences.

Let’s not mention white hat videos from Syria.

        • Sredni Vashtar August 24, 2020 at 12:39 pm #

I don’t get why a DA has the power to make decisions to restrict public evidence like that. If video is to be shown at all, it should not be permissible to engage in that kind of deception. And showing restricted bits that give a very different impression should be prosecutable. I saw a clip at the recent riots of a bunch of police hitting some guy with batons. But the alternative media site I was watching showed the whole thing -the protester ran up to the police and body slammed him into the side of a van, at which the 3 other policemen standing there subdued him.

More late-18th century, to be exact. The general program has remained remarkably unchanged since 1789 or so.

At any rate, I get your point: totalitarianism is hardly “progressive” anymore, in any sense meaning “novel” or “improved”. It’s old, old hat.

What remains for us is to rediscover the sheer, stunning *originality* in what came long, long before. And this is much of what JHK’s project amounts to, incidentally.

Are you aligning yourself with ‘Living Marxism’ on this issue, and with the state-controlled RTS?

They seem to have lost their case in the courts. A bit like David Irving.

And of course the “courts” are always fair, right? Even when they uphold unjust laws or imprison lawyers for defending their clients.

You’re the one who created it with your “believe the courts” attitude. You have an authoritarian personality, like most women. Whoever had the most power is right in your unconscious mind.

It was a veritable bloodbath with unspeakable atrocities committed by all sides, but no doubt that Serbia started the civil war by trying to take advantage of internal division in Bosnia. And, yes, they ran concentration camps for men, resulting in some incredible crimes against humanity. They are still uncovering mass graves.

Re Irving, you have trotted out this red herring before.

The Lipstadt case was a case concerning libel. Which Irving lost because, essentially, he represented himself.

Note that it was not a forum for the examination of the claims of the so-called holocaust, which remains today, even above the world-historical covid beat-up, the greatest fraud ever committed in all of human history. By a country mile.

I’m still waiting to hear about your motivation.

Which other ‘historical frauds’ have you taken the time to look into? Please list them in order of greatness.

SS-Scharführer Heinrich Matthes says you’re a vile liar. You should be ashamed of yourself.

And I have a feeling you might well be a Brit, which makes me ashamed too.

            Historical frauds are uncountably numerous.

Over human history these frauds have piled up all around us, like the moraine cast from history’s inexorable, slow-moving all-scouring glacier.

From Remember the Maine to Pearl Harbor to Tonkin Bay to Dealy Plaza to 9/11.

            So any frauds.

All of the agreements ever made with the American Indians.

Mr Ponzi. The Fed’s current ponzi.

Alex Haley’s authorship of Roots (he settled for $650,000).

The claims of leftists to care about people, especially the farmer or the proletariat.

            AGW.

            All frauds.

How to rank them? That would be difficult for every ranking except one. Number One. The Great Behemoth of All Slanderous Lies.

You know which lie I mean.

          • Kim August 25, 2020 at 10:00 am #

Feminism, of all of the modern frauds, one of the biggest.

How could I have omitted that?

You could name religions as frauds if you wished. And political parties. And psychiatry.

The list is so long. Lying for advantage is what humans do.

          • Kim August 25, 2020 at 10:19 am #

Multiculturalism and diversity is our strength? That has to be in the Top Ten of gaslighting frauds. Especially as we observe it only being applied to majority white countries.

For audacity and for the effrontery of its plainly false and counter-intuitive claims, multi-culturalism must, in terms of being an egregious fraud, be ranked higher than even feminism.

So anyway, you seemed to think I would find it hard to provide a list of monstrous, world-girding historical frauds.

But the main difficulty is in fact that there are too many candidates.

          • Kim August 25, 2020 at 10:51 am #

            Sexual Liberation. Remember that one?

Not much liberation there. Instead we got sexual enslavement, the identification of identity with sexuality, raging epidemics of venereal disease, broken family life, porn addiction, single parenthood and the mass media sexualization of teen and tween girls.

I understand that Teen Vogue had an issue devoted to anal sex.

Of course anal “sex” is a fiction and an impossibility. Because there is no route to the ovum via the rectum.

So we have rampant sexual confusion as well.

So Sexual Liberation certainly belongs on the list of massive historical frauds. I’ll let you try to rank it. Just not position One. That is taken.

          • GreenAlba August 25, 2020 at 10:55 am #

I’d agree with a few of those.

But I was hoping you’d give me an instance where millions of people were murdered but didn’t really die. That kind of thing.

And you’ve included some very silly examples.

But SS-Scharführer Heinrich Matthes still says you’re a vile liar.

          • GreenAlba August 25, 2020 at 10:57 am #

“Of course anal “sex” is a fiction and an impossibility. Because there is no route to the ovum via the rectum.”

“You could name religions as frauds if you wished.”

What does that sentence mean? It doesn’t seem to be saying anything.

I could label anything under the sun as a fraud ‘if I wished’.

            Including you.

You have listed things whose historical status is not at issue, in that frauds were perpetrated which were later verified historically to have been frauds.

In the instance of the Jewish Holocaust (don’t mince words, you coward, with your ‘you know which lie I mean’, the historical record says it happened. Not just some ideologically motivated evil upstart like yourself.

          • GreenAlba August 25, 2020 at 11:53 am #

To be clear, I don’t mean that everything you have listed has subsequently been historically verified to be a fraud (some aren’t frauds at all), but you have nevertheless included things whose fraudulent status (at the time) is not now in dispute. The veracity of the Holocaust is not in dispute among honest historians.

        • GreenAlba August 25, 2020 at 7:34 am #

Well tried, making Irving sound like a victim. Irving was the instigator of the litigation. He chose English courts, rather than American, because of the difference in the allocation of the burden of proof in libel cases. Not daft, was Irving.

          This is the judgement:

“Irving has for his own ideological reasons persistently and deliberately misrepresented and manipulated historical evidence; that for the same reasons he has portrayed Hitler in an unwarrantedly favourable light, principally in relation to his attitude towards and responsibility for the treatment of the Jews; that he is an active Holocaust denier; that he is anti-Semitic and racist, and that he associates with right-wing extremists who promote neo-Nazism.. therefore the defence of justification succeeds.. It follows that there must be judgment for the Defendants.”

Ideological reasons indistinguishable from your own, it would seem.

In plain English, Irving was found to be a liar, and a user of forged documents he knew to be forged.

The full judgement was almost 350 pages, because it includes EVIDENCE. Perhaps you should read them.

Wrong during the Rodney King riots the only businesses not looted or burned down had armed owners on the roofs.
Brute force is the only thing many of these people understand or respect.

        • Nightowl August 24, 2020 at 3:48 pm #

Different situation. We have a media claiming 24/7 that riots and more are justified as the President is a “dictator.” They were already rolling out the stormtroopers narrative when he sent feds to protect the courthouse in Portland.

That sort of escalation is exactly what would plunge many parts of the country into an ungovernable situation.

There is a much bigger plan here. What Trump has done so far has been entirely correct — force the McResistance governors to deal with the problem, and go in once the people demand it.

I agree they only understand force, but that is exactly the wrong solution at present.

A strong net with some ropes seems like a good option to subdue out of control suspects. It works for cowboys, why not policing? Cops can keep some distance but still have the guy on lock, in a way that’s unlikely to be lethal. Eventually the suspect will tire and can be brought into custody.

But then taser manufacturers would lose out on their lucrative contracts.

    • vengeur August 24, 2020 at 11:25 am #

“A strong net with some ropes seems like a good option to subdue out of control suspects. ”

      City,
It is axiomatic that the police will use whatever is at hand…carrying a net around in a sack or some such is just one more piece of equipment that would be “nice” under some circumstances, but would be unavailable…because it is impractical…and left in the trunk of the patrol car. Over the years, many, many ridiculous, bulky contrivances have been suggested.

Look at the gun belt of a police officer…that which cannot be carried on that belt will not be available when on foot.

Actually the best and most humane piece of control equipment to subdue and move humans along is the…cattle prod. It fell out of favor due to the use by southern sheriffs back in the late 40’s and 50’s.

      I am not joking.

Or here’s an idea. Give a male friend a pencil. Now four of you try to get the pencil from him without him stabbing you into the morgue.

Our quiet Confederate soldier statue, splashed with red paint, is going to move from the Courthouse to the cemetery as soon as contributors pony up the $25,000 to pay the state historical society for moving a 1904 monument. The protesters are insistently peaceful after their June 3 dust up with the tear gas and rubber bullets. I hope the calm prevails but patience is often not considered a virtue.
The libertarian candidate Jo Jorgenson had a nice little rally yesterday in our downtown. The supporters seemed hopeful and the candidate was at least lucid. At least there IS a candidate on the hustings.
I have no idea how to discipline or arrest the hard of hearing. In high school back in the 1960s after integration -the white assistant principal would give us white students detention. The black assistant principal would pick up and slam the black wise guys into the wall and get in their face.
I have every expectation that Alabama will go for Trump so I can “waste” my vote on a 3rd party. Voting has always been fast and easy here with paper ballots and no waiting. It’s never been complicated, meaningless yes, but not fraudulent.
My biggest concern is mortgage and rent payments. Surely those delinquencies are surreptitiously blowing up the economy’s supports?

Having spent much time with so-called practical engineers, I’m not impressed in general, I do admire their strong analytical approach, but something seems to be lacking in a lot of engineers – positive human interaction and understanding (of course, many engineers are not like this, for example RocketDoc). I wouldn’t want a world run by engineers. Pure scientists OTOH seem to be more humane, if not practical.

There has always been a bit of conflict between engineers and scientists (for the sake of disclosure, I’ve been trained by scientists). The conflict is not a serious issue. Each side seems to respect the other.

            Catherine Austin Fitts sees it differently, though;

Patrick Wood, Technocracy, Engineers, Scientists and all others might one day come to Fitts’ conclusions, too – Energy Resources, or the lack of them!

Technocracy, as promoted by Patrick Wood et al – is thought to being built on Wood’s belief that Energy resources on earth are infinite.

That what enables building countless energy-intensive Robotics,Technology Constructs and Systems that make Technocracy capable of ruling all humanity, century in century out – according to Wood et al and their Technocracy News.

Wood argues that as long as this Technocracy leader, called M. King Hubert, has said oil resources are finite – then the Physics he proposed must be wrong and oil and Energy on earth will actually always be found plentiful.

Trilaterals Over Washington and the World require limitless Energy resources to be burned in order to be functional dominating the Globe forever, though!

This takes the issue back to square one – Energy!

The circular ambiguity, confusion and the dream of endless Energy imagined by mankind, including Wood and his message on Technocracy News outlet – is not something new at all – it started to enter the literature since ancient Sumer and Gilgamesh – thousands of years ago!

“Also over the weekend, police in Lafayette, Louisiana, shot and killed 31-year-old Trayford Pellerin outside a convenience store he was entering while brandishing a knife. Pellerin had sought therapy for social anxiety.”

Apparently, about a year from now, if such an incident happens here in Austin and in other woke cities, a specially trained team of social workers will be sent out to handle people such as Trayford instead of the Po-Po.

Yeeessssss…..all men of color will be deemed by 911 operators to need “mental health intervention”.

    Gentlemen;

Every researcher agrees that what happened in Dealey Plaza Nov 22,1963 pales in comparison to the massive cover-up & obstruction of Justice that ensued (and continues as of today).

Remember Three Tramps arrested near the Grassy Knoll and immediately released ?

The identity of the arresting police officer wearing some fancy theatrical supply uniform was never established, although his face is clearly visible in the photo.Every Dallas Police Department cop swore he never saw this guy before or since.

Here are 9 Tramps from Portland,Oregon:

Mai, Justin, 23, of Corvallis, Oregon, criminally cited for Interfering with a Peace Officer, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree, and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree

Bell, Michael, 37, of Portland, criminally cited for Interfering with a Peace Officer, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree, and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree

Oram, Sarah, 42, of Portland, booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center for Interfering with a Police Officer, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree

Kessler, Colbie, 27, of Vancouver, Washington, booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center for Assaulting a Public Safety Officer, Riot, Resisting Arrest, Interfering with a Peace Officer, Harassment

McNally, Ronald, 46, unknown residence, criminally cited for Assaulting a Public Safety Officer, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree, Interfering with a Peace Officer

Lopez, Jeremy, 40, unknown residence, booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center for Assaulting a Public Safety Officer, Riot, Interfering with a Peace Officer

Corkery, Teagan, 29, of Portland, criminally cited for Interfering with a Peace Officer

Rohrwasser, Benjamin, 26, unknown residence, booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center for Riot, Interfering with a Peace Officer, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree, Escape in the Third Degree

Smith, Skyler, 18, of King City, Oregon, criminally cited for Attempted Assaulting a Public Safety Officer, Interfering with a Peace Officer, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree

3 of them are already back on the street, inciting riots on the social media.

I am 200% sure we will never see their prison #’s.And we will never be able to watch their journey thru the bowels of prison system.

    It is f… hopeless…

Andy Ngo has a great video of the sheriff’s truck being held at gun point. Some of the suspects could easily be identified, but will they be? Most unlikely. Attorney General Barr is simply not prosecuting. He’s Deep State and is not for America. With few or no consequences for the vast majority, the terror will continue.

One of the greatest things Trump could do would be to fire him and tell America why he’s being fired. But of course that would be crossing a line and might have dire consequences for him.

If only George Carlin were still with us then we could at least laugh more under the circumstances. I’ve never seen a nation collapse despite my many decades of observing the human condition. I’ve heard about such but this is my first experience on a personal basis. The Roman Empire keeps being mentioned. It lasted a long time from all I understand while the “Exceptional America” is bust after really a few decades after WW II. Why is that? It’s my understanding that long lived nations had ideas that law and order ought to prevail and if it meant hanging thieves who today we would call preteens then so be it. Awhile back someone decided that children could be excused from serious punishments if any at all. This is the direction we are headed especially with blacks. That is, no punishment. Let them get it out of their systems. Well, that isn’t going to happen. Free shit becomes entitlement. I wouldn’t have minded so much if I knew a black looter who might have picked up a Rolex for me. I’m actually surprised there are cops who are still trying to arrest or confront a black person. That leads to no good unless you are the family who collects millions from a municipality that is already broke. If son jaquavious goes out and gets himself killed and the family gets a payoff, then jaquavious did his job for his family. See, there is good in everyone.

    • Sredni Vashtar August 24, 2020 at 1:58 pm #

We accepted the Lie of Human Equality and now it is used to beat us over the head.

Blacks commit crimes at a much higher level than Whites. Liberals simply will not accept this reality and any White who insists on it is then destroyed. Thus Blacks get to then commit crimes since they really aren’t doing it. Or if they are, it’s the Whites fault – the ones who notice or dare to say anything about it. No one wants to be a “noticer”, to be that guy!

      • sevensec August 24, 2020 at 8:52 pm #

It goes even deeper, I suspect. For under woke-despotism, “crime” in *itself* must be seen as a mere artifact of white supremacist domination. The very idea that it is “wrong” to remove or destroy “property”–or even to kill or maim with impunity–all bourgeois or Christian relics! All oppressor-speak! Away with it all, for diversity’s sake!

What we normally call the criminal instead becomes the one who, almost alone, is alive to the genuine oppression of the whole system of law and order. He becomes not a “killer” or “thief” or “rapist”: but a visionary–a freedom-fighter who opposes the system in uncompromising ways, at great risk to his own life and limb!

If one is really serious about postmodernism, one simply has to start thinking big in this way. Resentment becomes the magic wand by which all laws and morals can be melted or transvalued away in an instant–but only for certain favored types, of course.

Nietzsche did a lot of damage in this direction, with his account of history as being essentially one of great criminals in succession. But I will credit him in that at least he was a fairly equal-opportunity demolisher (which of course we now know, was very racist of him).

Yes, the Revolution proceeds from the Head. In other words, it is just a working down of what is already established at a higher level. I won’t say this for the Russian revolution, and only partially for the French. But it is the case in the West – which is the Origin of all this, not Russia.

What the Antifa are to the Democrats, Communism is to Capitalism at the macro level. A militia. A force that brings the world into line with its desires.

      • John1945 August 24, 2020 at 2:37 pm #

Names dont matter.Basic process is always the same.

“Thus throughout history a struggle which is the same in its main outlines recurs over and over again. For long periods the High seem to be securely in power, but sooner or later there always comes a moment when they lose either their belief in themselves, or their capacity to govern efficiently or both.

They are then overthrown by the Middle, who enlist the Low on their side by pretending to them that they are fighting for liberty and justice. As soon as they have reached their objective, the Middle thrust the Low back into their old position of servitude, and themselves become the High.

Presently a new Middle group splits off from one of the other groups, or from both of them, and the struggle begins over again. Of the three groups, only the Low are never even temporarily successful in achieving their aims. It would be an exaggeration to say that throughout history there has been no progress of a material kind.

Even today, in a period of decline, the average human being is physically better off than he was a few centuries ago. But no advance in wealth, no softening of manners, no reform or revolution has ever brought human equality a millimeter nearer. From the point of view of the Low, no historic change has ever meant much more than a change in the name of their Masters.”

        O’Brien,Member of the Inner Party

        • Sredni Vashtar August 24, 2020 at 5:15 pm #

Well in this case, those already in power are using the Low to consolidate their power by destroying the Middle – the only ones who could ever challenge them. So Orwell’s paradigm is included within their strategy.

The outer Political Elite pretend to bow to Blacks – but other Whites will have to do so in actuality or else.

        • Kim August 24, 2020 at 11:39 pm #

I don’t believe this theory. Not at all.

All revolutions have to have money, planning, and the ability to direct violence.

The middle and lower classes have never had these resources. They are either too busy getting their daily bread or they are happy enough with the system.

All revolutions are top down. There are two reasons why the top “revolt”

          1. to obtain personal power

          2. to change conditions so they can squeeze the lower classes more

          • Sredni Vashtar August 25, 2020 at 12:20 am #

This is the latter. The former could be subdivided into factions within the existing Elite struggling for power or as in Russia, an alien Elite attempting to topple the existing one.

It’s said that the French Revolution was funded by a faction of the French Elite that wanted to go into Capitalism and materialism as England had already done and thus the monarchy had to be toppled. Of course there were also the extreme Romantics and their early version of Communism – and they seemed to have won out. And the Tribe was around as well no doubt. As were the Grand Orient Masons and their Man is God contribution to the mess.

Must be something going around, more contagious than even Covid-19.

Last week in Connecticut, Community Members shot in Hartford, New Haven, Meriden, and New London, by other Community Members. In New Haven the Comm Member shot (in the back) was a city firefighter, in Meriden there were about 5 Comm Members shot in what appears to be an ongoing gang war. At one time our cities were full of Yankee inventors and mechanical geniuses, now its tatted warriors with stolen 9mms, on welfare, with a penchant for mayhem.

This was just last week. Weather is hot and school is opening late, plenty more time for bloodletting and violence. Rioting and looting here has been at a minimum, but the potential is there. Maybe this Kenosha incident will be the spark.

The police in the US is out of control as is the justice system: asset forfeiture, plea bargaining, falsification of evidence by police and DA.

Police officers are often fat to the point of being disabled and are lousy shots. Every 6 months they show up at the range and shoot at a full size silhouette target all of 30 feet away.
Even a modestly interested hobby shooter will shoot at pistol targets 75 feet off.

That is why the have no confidence of being able to handle anything and unleash a barrage of bullets as their only way of dealing with any situation.

It is barbaric and pretty much completely incomprehensible to citizens of civilized nations.

    • beantownbill. August 24, 2020 at 3:16 pm #

Michael, I agree the justice system is out of control because of much of what you say. However, there’s much more to the story, which has already been stated many times by CFN posters. You are unfortunately taking a one-sided view. Why are you apparently only considering one group of people’s pov, while totally ignoring everything the other side says. In my life I’ve found every viewpoint has some merit. Why are you like that?

I also wonder if you have a firearm license and have experience shooting. In most firearm confrontations, close quarter shooting is done from inside oh say, 30 feet or so. In life or death situations the fear and adrenaline rush affects one’s mental state and normal shooting ability. Most persons shooting handguns at 75 feet do so for target shooting. If someone needs to shoot at larger distances in real-life, they use a shotgun or a rifle. It becomes very iffy to use handguns in those circumstances.

      • benr August 24, 2020 at 3:26 pm #

Further if you actually deal with people who really have had to get in firefights you will see many of them have had parts of their hands shot off.
Because as you are looking across at the person shooting at you your focus is typically going to be on the weapon they are trying to end you with.

Bill you are correct most gun confrontations are with in 30 feet and hitting a moving target is tough.

        • beantownbill. August 24, 2020 at 6:35 pm #

Benr, not if you’re a tv cop. You could take out a squirrel at 700 yards with a pea shooter.

      • michael August 24, 2020 at 4:05 pm #

During the 20 years I spent in the US I was a gun owner of America and at the range regularly. The guys running the range were commenting on police shooting skills.

You are happy enough that the police only shoot blacks. But that is not so. They will shoot you too and do. They get away with ridiculous excuses like “assumed a shooter stance”, “seemed to have a gun in his hands”,…

At any traffic stop your life is in danger if the cop “can’t see your hands”, or you “make a sudden move”.

The swat team will kick down your door and shoot you if you are startled and move. It so happened in Oregon. The swat team was called by a neighbor on the new boyfriend of the female resident
        thougth to be a burglar.

We now need 10 people with automatic rifles and bullet proof vests and authorization to shoot at will to check out a burglary.

This is what has become of the land of the “brave and free”.
But if you like it — it is your country.

I am glad to see that you disapprove of hedonistic lifestyles. You may have noticed that these and other attributes of third world countries now apply to US elites:

            Lawlessness (unconstitutional surveillance etc.)
Corruption (it is the system of government in the US: there is not a congressman or senator who would not be so vile as not to be a bondsman)
            Hedonism (Epstein and his entourage)

            Compounded by glibness and arrogance.

    • benr August 24, 2020 at 3:22 pm #

The only thing I’ve seen is occassionally a State Police vehicle in my neighbors driveway on a Sunday or after business hours (he’s a prosecutor) I asked him about it and he said sometimes he has to help draw up an arrest warrant, make sure it’s all legal.

One thing that always strikes me about US politicians is what appalling public speakers they are. All of them. Board-stiff, unnatural cadences and rhythms…no practice, maybe?

Compare with speakers from parliamentary systems, on any side of politics. They are often so good that you want to listen. Acute, funny, on top of their facts, sure-footed, responsive, full of analogies, stories, control of tone and rhythm…Farage as a famous example.

US politicians on the dias are always corpses.

Best Parliamentarian ‘stand up’ comics? Look no further than Australia- particularly Paul Keating, Treasurer under Bob Hawke and PM, 1991 to 1996.

I’ll add to that – an Oxford Union debate between Jerry Falwell & NZ PM David Lange, 1985. The moot is ‘That all nuclear weapons are morally indefensible’. A genuine Methodist v. a snake-oil ‘Southern Baptist’. Great stuff.

Shame Farage couldn’t actually get near that parliamentary system. Eight tries and couldn’t get elected to Parliament once.

I guess it takes more than being full of analogies.

Nigel Farage was a member of the European parliament for 20 years.

          • Kim August 25, 2020 at 8:42 am #

As a comic Keating’s biggest joke was on the Australian public, selling out the Australian banking system to the big International banks, i.e., globalism.

After all, like Whitlam and Hawke, he was a Fabian and a committed globalist.

            Where is he today?

Well, of course he has done very well for himself and now we find him on the advisory board of the China Development Bank.

And from this very principled position he is telling the Australian public that its security service is full of “nutters” because they are suspicious of China and her geopolitical ambition.

Ah yes, “Australia in Asia”. Now I see what it means.

So yes, Paul is quite the humorist. But as I say, on whom was the joke?

            Another pederast, funnily enough.

How long was he out of office before he shaved off that “beard” he’d been wearing all those years?

At least Don Dunstan had had the dignity to wear pink shorts if he wanted to.

          • GreenAlba August 25, 2020 at 10:48 am #

            “Doesn’t quailify?”

Not for me in this instance. He wanted to be an MP. I was referring to countries with parliamentary systems, and assumed you were too. The EU isn’t a country. But it counts if you want it to count.

And he didn’t do anything useful while he was an MEP. He couldn’t even be arsed going to defend British fishermen in the fisheries debates. That wasn’t why he was there.

So I don’t personally consider him a legitimate parliamentarian. But I’m fine with you thinking he was.

“It’s looking a little bit like the nation’s attention to the Republican Trump-O-Rama Fest this week will get shoved rudely aside by Hurricane Laura… I know: just what America needs, another Biblical-scale natural disaster…”
    .
Speaking of the Bible, all that is missing this week from the Republican National Infomercial is having Three Wise Men appear in Charlotte to offer tokens of great value to the Make America Great Republican Savior who will appear nightly this week like Johnny Carson used to. They very much wanted to include this Magi-type spectacle, but there was a problem. They tried but couldn’t find three wise men or woman left in the world to validate the gifting process and make the trek to North Carolina. Nor did they want the optics of supposed Wise Men wearing facemasks because no airline would fly them in without facial covering and that just ruins the visuals for the viewers.
    .
But of course, the Dems had big problems of their own in their National Snoozefest to prove that The Former Vice President still has some of his marbles and is capable of leading a small-sized America city or at least a chain franchise restaurant for at least for a week or two.
    .
And the whole idea of National Political Conventions has run its course anyway and is now just a sad and empty ritual of submission to and repetition of approved talking points and blatant manipulation and contempt of the audience.
    .
But the opening bells will ring, and both Republicans and Democrats will start salivating and then jump, heel, beg, and roll over when told to both for and against the staged rituals on both sides of the faux political divide. Treats, please!

And the whole idea of National Political Conventions has run its course anyway and is now just a sad and empty ritual of submission to and repetition of approved talking points and blatant manipulation and contempt of the audience.

Spot on. The idea that National Conventions is about arriving at consensus has become obsolete in favor of simply announcing consensus. American politics in its current form, largely formulated during the heady days of the 20th century, has become an anachronism here in the 21st. Unfortunately, the two – actually one – parties have yet to acknowledge that fact. We’ll probably need to leave that message to today’s 0-20 year old’s to deliver, as those born in the 20th century seem to be too ossified to deliver it. But rest assured, it’s coming.

It is like the flags in the movies. Everywhere the flags. Internationally, it has always made people gag.

From memory, it wasn’t like that until the 1970s really. Then the more traitorous Hollywood became, the more flags we started to see in movies.

          Not only in DC

In Ct, at one point, around 2008, the entire staff of Gov Malloy was gay, 7 dudes. It wasn’t widely known, the only reason I was aware of it was because one of them ‘married’ the son of one of my neighbors. Needless to say, the administration was Gay Friendly.

Just looked at DOD assessment by NYT.

Syria, reduction after ISIS with only 200 left. Group reassigned to Western Iraq.

Iraq. Much of Iraq moved to western Iraq, Taliq AFB turned over to Iraqis just recently. Why Western Iraq?

Kuwait, SA and other Gulf States. Increased varying between 45000 and 65000.

Afghanistan. Slow decrease to 12000 over the last year, plans to reduce to 8500 in the future associated with Taliban talks.

            Europe reductions in Germany soon.

            Africa. Steady

            Korea and Japan. Steady.

OveralL a reduction in forces in hazard zones.

Why the buildup in Western Iraq? Get them away from Baghdad.

Why a buildup in Gulf States? Same as Iraq. To balance the threat from Iran against the oil fields of SA and Kuwait. A large part of the Gulf states are naval personnel to keep the Persian Gulf open.

Say thank you to those folks for allowing oil to flow freely to keep you in gasoline and electricity.

Listening to Jim talking to Dr. Jack Rasmus.

If you are a fellow CFNer, I highly recommend it. It’s very good.

I don’t agree with much of Rasmus’s prescriptions. His equivocation between the world of 1930s & 2020 America is completely blind.

Rasmus points out that the WPA employed 40 million working adults during the first great depression. He honestly believes that millions of adults today would work clearing trails in the woods, or building bridges, or any type of public infrastructure?

There is no way that is going to happen. Americans are too fat, high, drunk & deranged for any of that to happen.

Rasmus also advocates what is essentially financial magic to solve the financial crises: just erase all debt and/or have the federal government subsidize or support rents/mortgages/student aid, etc.

that’s what I got out of alot of what he was arguing for, anyway. I’m into about minute 59 of the program..

AK 47 round about equivalent to the Winchester .30-30 (c1895), which is the secret to its success. The Russians figured out in 1945 that if you scaled down the cartridge from full size 7.62×54 — which they used in their Mosin-Nagants — to 7.62×39, the gun would be easier to handle by the ordinary soldier. In the US we tried to put the powerful .30-06 round into the select fire M-14 and it proved to be too much.

These idiots do not even want to acknowledge the Constitution. Trump will reject the results if any stink of illegal voting is proved.

This is statistics 101. If the item being measured is too small, this being the difference between two contestants, the measuring instrument must be 10 times more precise than the difference. The errors found in three states by Jill Green’s recounts in 2016 show how far we are away from that ideal.

Now what? Both sides have legitimate claims that the results will be unreliable.

Throwing the unreliability of the USPS into it is going to make things worse.

So basically Hurricane Laura’s track has shifted to the west (which I’m truly ok with from a purely selfish perspective God forgive me) and it looks like the eye of the storm which could be a Category 3 or more at landfall is going to hit Lake Charles/Beaumont/Port Arthur. A whole lot of oil and natgas infrastructure is going to be knocked offline and mangled in other words. If it is a major impact I wonder what that means for our new normal?

A temporary rise in prices until the domestic-foreign supply absorbs the shock.

Put the Biden-AOC crew in place and you will see many shortages subsequent to a hit to the running supply with no excess supply available.

This is scary stuff. Not surprising but scary.

This shows the level of ignorance demonstrated by the “scientists” at the beginning of the epidemic where only 15 people were confirmed infected in the US at the time. One of them starts this story as thousands evolved from one.

Read this article in detail, understand its implications, then close your eyes and in your mind, blame Trump for the epidemic.

America endured 8 years of this political assault under President Obama’s traitorous leadership. President Trump has fought against this assault for 4 years, and will fight even harder in thee next 4 years to defeat this internal assault on America.

    John Young

Look … if White Nationalists had been protesting in Portland for the past 80+ days, even without a single injury or arson, a TON of them would already be starting 20 year sentences for various and sundry crimes. And if EVEN ONE of them had ACCIDENTALLY stepped on the toe of someone else, he’d be staring down 100 years of consecutive sentences for numerous felonies. And if events even remotely similar to the violence perpetrated by Antifa/BLM had taken place? The national guard would be setting up a perimeter and air strikes would have been called in. They’d be stacking up body bags of White Nationalists as high as they could stack them.
People need wake up and realize the reason why antifa/BLM is able to get away with months of unprovoked violence is because they are doing what the partisans of the current system want them to do. They are serving the system. They are destroying small businesses while the big businesses that fund the political class are skating free.

Appeals to fairness will not work. Appeals to fairness only work in cases where an injustice is unintentional, as a result of faulty information received by someone with good intentions, a simple oversight. In such cases, providing the correct information or calling attention to an obvious injustice will work. But that is not the case here. What you are seeing is intentional, and the effect is exactly what is intended.

    Why aren’t they being prosecuted?
The injustices associated with these riots are myriad, far too many to list, with people literally being murdered or kicked into unconsciousness, and perpetrators getting off with probation or not pursued at all. The endless miraculously unsolved arsons. The list is very long for any who care to look at what the controlled media will not report.

But the answer is simple, really: sovereign immunity.

BLM and Antifa are the ground troops of those currently in power. They are an unofficial branch of government.

Sometimes, for the sake of expediency, one of them is arrested or charged with some crime, but a few months later the charges are quietly dropped.

The reason those who fight back against them are charged with crimes is for the same reason you’d be charged with “resisting arrest” if a cop came to arrest you, EVEN IF the original arrest was because of mistaken identity, etc.

It is only in failed states that the government must allow non-state actors to engage at will in violence. If the United States is not a failed state (yet) then only one answer remains as to why the Antifa/BLM violence is allowed to continue: they are acting on behalf of the U.S. Government, or those who pull its strings.

So the government of the United States is not yet a failed state, but it is clearly no longer legitimate because it literally subsidizes terrorism against its own citizens.

Terrorism? Yes. Absolutely textbook: Antifa/BLM are using violence and fear of violence in pursuit of a political objective. They are an unofficial branch of the U.S. government that is being used to perpetrate terrorism against the people. The only substantive prosecution is for vandalism of government properties. But when it comes to yours or mine? Or our very lives? We are on our own: the beatings will continue until morale improves or we are softened up enough for the next phase of the “global reset” put forth by the World Economic Forum. I’m trying to remember if they were on any recent ballots …

SV: Sam Francis termed it “Anarcho-Tyranny”. Different people get different legal treatment based on their racial identity. Affirmative Action is another part of the System Racism against Whites. As is the discrimination against Whites in admissions.

            Wrong? Who? When?

I well know the distinction between ‘whiskey’ & ‘whisky’, you knob. I’m well aware that the Irish and Americans add an ‘e’, which is entirely fine.

I am well aware that all such drinks are, at heart, ethyl alcohol in varying strengths and flavoured and processed to create distinct variations.

As to my remark (most of which you cannot seem to go past without trying feebly for some insipid ‘gotcha’ comment), CMC had mentioned scotch, which is definitely without the ‘e’.

So, where was I wrong again? Maybe you’re too deep into that bottle of bourbon. How does it go on your cornflakes?

          • Majella August 26, 2020 at 7:05 pm #

Oh, and just to clarify where YOU’RE wrong, ‘scotch’ is far too varied a product to be adequately covered by your banal statement. As well, not all scotch whiskies have peat in their process:

Speyside whiskies are very low in peat, if not totally unpeated, meaning that they don’t have the intense smokiness of Highland or Islay varieties.

The MOA is this: mobs arrive at a small town at night, pile out of cars, march thru town shouting slogans and issuing threats to the rubes in their wood frame houses, then climb back in cars, satisfied Whitey is properly Mau-mau’d … massing in neighborhoods threatening civilians is an evolving tactic, it has to be terrifying for the people targeted, lasers and powerful lights pointed at them, shouts and drum rolls at 2:00 am, who wouldn’t be frightened, especially a woman alone with kids, anyway a few humble hicks in Schellsburg were having none of it, opened up on the distinguished BLM members with what seems to be shotguns … what a shock! in Portland and Seattle besieged homeowners cowered in their apartments, what’s this? Something else entirely! BLM hit the dirt, sped away, and called the cops. Penn State Police is investigating the incident.

The Democrats are not planning to replace Joe Biden before the election. They hope they can just not have him participate in any Presidential Debates, or, in the alternative, have him debate online, by Zoom video or whatever, from his basement. That way he can just read off Teleprompters, repeat what he hears in his earpieces, and fake his way through a “remote debate” ’cause Science, COVID, Orange Man Bad. As for the election itself, Hillary has already given the Dems their marching orders: do not give a Concession Speech, no matter how badly or obviously you lose the presidential election. They are hoping to kick off another Bush v. Gore chad-counting debacle, with the Supreme Court to determine who our president is, once again, with reliable liberal Justice Roberts, appointed by liberal Bush, to do whatever it takes to declare Biden the victor. If Trump wins the Electoral College, so what. Just lie about it. Ditto the popular vote. Say, I don’t know, the ballots are still in the mail, and they haven’t all been counted, and we can’t determine who is president until 1) they have all been counted, a century from now or 2) everyone just concedes and says fine, Biden is president, the will of the people doesn’t count, and Democracy is over in the late, great USA.

    @ Green Alba

Anal “sex” is a marketing term used to normalize an especially abnormal – in fact mentally ill – practice of the homo community. It already had a name, “buggery”, or sometimes “sodomy”.

As you observe, oral “sex” is also not sex. It has other more truthful names. Those names are not used because they are alienating when used promotionally.

As to the distinctions between the two:

    1. The human mouth is not normally full of shit.

    2. The human mouth is a port specifically designed for entries, not exits.

    3. Use of the mouth erotically does not result in fissures, hemorrhoids, loss of muscle function, prolapse, chronic faecal incontinence, nor fistula, and is not strongly associated with oral cancer, unlike sodomy and rectal cancer –

    https://www.webmd.com/cancer/qa/does-having-anal-intercourse-affect-risk-of-anal-cancer

    https://childrenshealthdefense.org/news/the-disturbing-increase-in-colorectal-cancer-in-young-adults/

Does sodomy increase the risk of rectal cancer? Yes, it does. Very much so.

And even as a regular practice fellatio will never lead to a need for surgical repair. Sodomy, however, does ultimately require surgical repair of the abused anus. This is sometimes referred to as “rectal rejuvenation”.

Rejuvenation! Just imagine, with this surgery you can once again have the lower colon of a five-year old boy! So to speak.

In some cases this repair is sorely (excuse me) needed. As in the following example. Married woman. Confused paramour. Yet another severely broken bum.

Paganism is an absolute necessity to balance out the excesses of Christianity. And Christianity to balance out the excessive naturalism of Paganism.

Two different Standards or “Naturals”. The Natural as Supernatural. Or the Natural as Nature, with Man just an intelligent animal. The actual pagans were better than this of course with a spiritual view of the natural world, but in terms of the focus, it fits in a general way.

  69. Kim August 25, 2020 at 11:17 pm #

Just on the subject of Alba’s “stupidity”, allow me to make my point more clearly.

    1. I said anal sex is not sex.
    2. The objection is made that oral sex is also not sex. Of course that that is true.
    3. Stupid person concludes that anal sex and oral sex are essentially the same
    4. This is of course obviously not true. An anus is not a mouth.
    5. Any slight comparison between an anus and a mouth will immediately show that they are not the same.
    6. Alba clearly did not or could make that simple comparison.

The habit and skill of making simple compartions is something that is taught in primary school. To begin, children are shown simple pictures which they are encouraged to complete, color, draw, discuss, label and so on and from this they learn that anything can be basically classified in terms of similarity and difference.

Similarities and differences are initially considered superfically: color, shape, size, number, and as children get older the comparisons are made in more sophisticated terms such as function, product, effect, construction and so on.

An important goal of basic education is to see that such basic logico-semantic functions (comparions, cause and effect, understanding of processes and chronlogy, etc) become habitual ways of thinking in children.

But as we see in this discussion, Green Alba dismally failed to internalize the lessons of her basic schoollng. She still cannot – and certainly does not do as a mental habit – basic comparison.

anal sex = oral sex is the claim. Yet even as an equation it is patently, obviously not true.

What kind of mind does Green Alba have that she is not even able to make the simplest comparisons? An anus is like a mouth? Really?

Yes, again, I call that stupid.

    • Majella August 25, 2020 at 11:39 pm #

      You really are a self-righteous, nit-picking prig.

The definition you provided was the lack of route to the ovum via the anus. That same definition, your OWN definition, applies equally to the mouth.

Now, you’re litigating about exits & entries, full of shit and not so. Too precious…

I bet you use ‘Dragon’ or some such dictating system because I can just imagine how much you love to hear the sound of your own voice.

        @ Majella

The definition you provided was the lack of route to the ovum via the anus. That same definition, your OWN definition, applies equally to the mouth.

Yes, I have made that point already a number of times. Did you not read it? Should I have bolded,/b> it? The mouth, like the rectum, is not a route to the ovum. Therefore “oral sex” is a misnomer. It is not sex. I have stipulated that.

So what are you trying to say? What are you triying to argue or defend? I can’t follow you.

Green Alba made the suggestion that anal sex = oral sex. Which is a stupid suggestion. Isn’t it? Isn’t it stupid? Or will you try to defend the impossible?

Here is one of the links that she gives, referring to an earlier WHO, 2010, pandemic-fraud that was exposed by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

The goal? “But there’s more than bureaucratic self-interest at work here. Bizarrely enough, the WHO has also exploited its phony pandemic to push a hard left political agenda.

      https://www.forbes.com/2010/02/05/world-health-organization-swine-flu-pandemic-opinions-contributors-michael-fumento.html#6a2ee4d948e8

Why The WHO Faked A Pandemic

The World Health Organization has suddenly gone from crying “The sky is falling!” like a cackling Chicken Little to squealing like a stuck pig. The reason: charges that the agency deliberately fomented swine flu hysteria. “The world is going through a real pandemic. The description of it as a fake is wrong and irresponsible,” the agency claims on its Web site. A WHO spokesman declined to specify who or what gave this “description,” but the primary accuser is hard to ignore.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), a human rights watchdog, is publicly investigating the WHO’s motives in declaring a pandemic. Indeed, the chairman of its influential health committee, epidemiologist Wolfgang Wodarg, has declared that the “false pandemic” is “one of the greatest medicine scandals of the century.”

Even within the agency, the director of the WHO Collaborating Center for Epidemiology in Munster, Germany, Dr. Ulrich Kiel, has essentially labeled the pandemic a hoax. “We are witnessing a gigantic misallocation of resources [$18 billion so far] in terms of public health,” he said.

They’re right. This wasn’t merely overcautiousness or simple misjudgment. The pandemic declaration and all the Klaxon-ringing since reflect sheer dishonesty motivated not by medical concerns but political ones.

Unquestionably, swine flu has proved to be vastly milder than ordinary seasonal flu. It kills at a third to a tenth the rate, according to U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates. Data from other countries like France and Japan indicate it’s far tamer than that.

Indeed, judging by what we’ve seen in New Zealand and Australia (where the epidemics have ended), and by what we’re seeing elsewhere in the world, we’ll have considerably fewer flu deaths this season than normal. That’s because swine flu muscles aside seasonal flu, acting as a sort of inoculation against the far deadlier strain.

Did the WHO have any indicators of this mildness when it declared the pandemic in June?

Absolutely, as I wrote at the time. We were then fully 11 weeks into the outbreak and swine flu had only killed 144 people worldwide–the same number who die of seasonal flu worldwide every few hours. (An estimated 250,000 to 500,000 per year by the WHO’s own numbers.) The mildest pandemics of the 20th century killed at least a million people.

But how could the organization declare a pandemic when its own official definition required “simultaneous epidemics worldwide with enormous numbers of deaths and illness.” Severity–that is, the number of deaths–is crucial, because every year flu causes “a global spread of disease.”

Easy. In May, in what it admitted was a direct response to the outbreak of swine flu the month before, WHO promulgated a new definition matched to swine flu that simply eliminated severity as a factor. You could now have a pandemic with zero deaths.

Under fire, the organization is boldly lying about the change, to which anybody with an Internet connection can attest. In a mid-January virtual conference WHO swine flu chief Keiji Fukuda stated: “Did WHO change its definition of a pandemic? The answer is no: WHO did not change its definition.” Two weeks later at a PACE conference he insisted: “Having severe deaths has never been part of the WHO definition.”

      They did it; but why?

In part, it was CYA for the WHO. The agency was losing credibility over the refusal of avian flu H5N1 to go pandemic and kill as many as 150 million people worldwide, as its “flu czar” had predicted in 2005.

Around the world nations heeded the warnings and spent vast sums developing vaccines and making other preparations. So when swine flu conveniently trotted in, the WHO essentially crossed out “avian,” inserted “swine,” and WHO Director-General Margaret Chan arrogantly boasted, “The world can now reap the benefits of investments over the last five years in pandemic preparedness.”

But there’s more than bureaucratic self-interest at work here. Bizarrely enough, the WHO has also exploited its phony pandemic to push a hard left political agenda.

In a September speech WHO Director-General Chan said “ministers of health” should take advantage of the “devastating impact” swine flu will have on poorer nations to get out the message that “changes in the functioning of the global economy” are needed to “distribute wealth on the basis of” values “like community, solidarity, equity and social justice.” She further declared it should be used as a weapon against “international policies and systems that govern financial markets, economies, commerce, trade and foreign affairs.”

Chan’s dream now lies in tatters. All the WHO has done, says PACE’s Wodart, is to destroy “much of the credibility that they should have, which is invaluable to us if there’s a future scare that might turn out to be a killer on a large scale.”

      https://nypost.com/2020/06/17/54-nih-scientists-reportedly-fired-or-resigned-during-spying-probe/

54 NIH scientists reportedly fired or resigned during espionage probe

The National Institutes of Health said that dozens of scientists have been fired or resigned during the Trump administration’s probe into espionage in US laboratories and universities – and the majority had links to a Chinese institution, according to a report.

Fifty-four scientists lost their jobs as part of an investigation launched in August 2018 into NIH grant recipients’ failure to disclose their ties to foreign governments.

Of those 54, 93 percent received hidden funding from a Communist Chinese institution, Science magazine reported.

Michael Lauer, NIH’s head of extramural research, during a virtual meeting with a senior advisory panel on Friday, said the probe targeted 189 scientists at 87 institutions – 80 percent of whom are Asian males who received Chinese financial backing.

The individuals received 285 grants totaling $164 million, Lauer said, and Chinese entities provided hidden support for 175 of them.

According to Lauer, 133 of the researchers failed to disclose receipt of a foreign grant and 103 had not disclosed participation in a foreign talent recruitment program.

Lauer said the fact that the overwhelming majority are Chinese is “not surprising” because “that’s who the Chinese target.”

He revealed that there are 399 scientists of “possible concern” to the NIH, the FBI has identified 121 of them and 44 have been called out by their own institutions.

Stunning – great rhetoric, propaganda artfully disguised and outright lies delivered convincingly!

There it is more support the lie of omission exposed YET again.
I do detect a hint of jealousy as well don’t you wish you were a natural lady that looked even remotely this good?

Why is it liberal women come off as shrill and ugly inside as well as out?

      • Majella August 26, 2020 at 6:46 pm #

That’s rich – this particular woman (Guilfoyle) could not have been more ‘shrill’.

Probably just your type too, benr – fake tits and that garish peculiarly American idea of what ‘beauty’ constitutes.

Another sad chapter in our history, thank you JHK for providing the proper adjectives. I came home from work this morning and found a small baby squirrel squeaking, not moving. I called my animal advocate neighbors, and all told me to do not interfere, it may be cruel but let nature take its course. MY neighbors 2 crazy cats, or one of the foxes in the area will get it. I saw the mother squirrel come over, pick it up, like cats do and started climbing the front tree, I watched in amazement, the mother struggled and it took five minutes, the baby dangling back and forth, but she did it, both back in the nest. Just leave things alone, I guess is also good advice for us humans.

Poor little squirrel. I have been feeding the squirrels on my street. I sit out front and give them peanuts. One of them, Rocky, crawled up the back of my jacket and sat on my head (gulp). Their nails are sharp and I had a cap on….otherwise, ouch. Vegetable gardening and nature is very pleasurable during these times

Squirrels are actually amazing and precious little animals. I have seen squirrels fall 40 or 50 feet from trees in my back yard a few times now. They will literally bounce off the ground when they hit making a terrible thud. But amazingly enough after sitting there for a few moments likely in a daze they just go back to their business foraging for acorns and mushrooms in the grass!

    @’Kim’

OK, so I appear to have hit a few nerves. I already had you down as evil, but now I see you are both stupid and devious as well. An unpleasant combination.

Just to recap on your evil side, you will recall that Mr Kunstler, at the start of a post not that long ago, referred to the 1939-45 war as one against ‘manifest evil’. Most of us know what that means, including you. You didn’t have the guts to argue that epithet directly with its user at the time, but my personal view is that people who defend that manifest evil are manifestly evil themselves.

Moving on to the other topics …

You seem unable to fathom the reason for the link to evidence of the prevalence of STDs in the 18th century. I thought you were brighter – my apologies for the unwarranted assumption. The point was that promiscuity – not the human ability to deal with its effects – has been a historical constant. Variations in the level of hypocrisy, secretiveness or openness on the matter, have obviously ebbed and flowed, in recent times notably during the Victorian period, when all was sweetness and light, purity and happy families – right up until Dad hit the back streets of an evening on his way home.

Moving on … You referred to ‘anal sex’ as not being a thing, because there is no link between the anus and the ovaries. I made the rather obvious point that there isn’t a link between the mouth and the ovaries either. This point, which still stands, is about heterosexual male hypocrisy. Relative hygiene is neither here nor there in the issue of whether or not one or the other constitutes sex. But then you are a very, very stupid person and a very, very devious one. Hygiene is not morality, and morality is not hygiene.

You then inferred that my perfectly valid theoretical point gave you the right to infer my personal views on one or the other, or both. This makes you an even more utterly stupid person, since you don’t have the slightest idea of my views on either one – although you should have if you’d paid proper attention to previous posts, rather than making assumptions on the basis of who you think I am and what you think I believe. But stupid is as stupid does.

Moving on again … “Green Alba made the suggestion that anal sex = oral sex.

GreenAlba made no such suggestion, but she understands that a stupid person (and/or devious person) would wish to assert that she did. She pointed out that while (according to your narrow definition) oral sex is no more ‘sex’ than anal sex, but that the majority of heterosexual males would balk at the suggestion that they are perverts for enjoying blow jobs. Leaving aside, for now, the fact that huge numbers of heterosexual males are currently obsessed with watching anal sex online, while enthusiastically castigating those homosexual men who engage in it. Same hypocrisy, different day.

It may or may not interest you to know that a significant minority of homosexual men (I’ve seen 30% cited) don’t like anal sex. Given the number of heterosexual men who have now practised it, the gap between homosexual and heterosexual men on the matter is getting narrower.

Again, the issues of hygiene are neither here nor there when discussing the act per se as a moral or immoral one. Promiscuity is a different matter and deserves separate discussion.

But let’s move on to peak stupidity, combined with peak evil.

Of course, Green Alba, if your special man prefers to take you face down and in the most degrading way, who am I to question him? After all, he has local information about you that I do not.”

So here, you repulsive, lying, slanderous scumbag, you presume to suggest that because I point out male hypocrisy with regard to oral and anal sex, AND with regard to homosexual and heterosexual sex, that you are entitled to presume something about my personal views and practices, of which you know nothing whatsoever. I will happily end my time on this earth without ever either experiencing or even watching the performance of anal sex. Not that it would be any of your business.

In that instance, you have shown yourself to be so far beyond stupid that there are no words for it. And, more importantly exactly the kind of evil, lying scum that I would expect to defend a regime where it was considered acceptable to infer things about people without any cause whatsoever. What a shame you were born too late to be a good little Hitlerjugend doing your patriotic duty in incriminating innocent people.

You owe me an apology, you evil toad. But at the same time I don’t even wish to be sullied by such an apology from such a person.

And finally, “The human mouth is not normally full of shit.

That’s what I’d have said too, but I’ve now read so many of your posts that, in your case, I’d have to disagree.

    • SoftStarLight August 26, 2020 at 11:31 am #

That whole conversation is majorly ewwwww!! I did wonder how often you blushed as you engaged in it.

      • GreenAlba August 26, 2020 at 12:00 pm #

I didn’t blush at all – except with indignation at the lies spouted by ‘Kim’. Did you ask ‘Kim’ if s/he blushed? I haven’t looked back to see.

I’m not surprised, though, that this is what you find important, rather than the egregious insult(s) I was obliged to respond to. Not surprised at all.

I spent over 20 years working in medical publishing. So, naturally, I am less snowflakey than you are when it comes to discussing medical or pseudo-medical phenomena.

None of it entitles ANYONE to infer my personal views on the practicalities of such matters, just because I discuss facts.

        • Sredni Vashtar August 27, 2020 at 12:30 pm #

Because your private viewpoints are so utterly sacred (utterly conventional). You refuse to discuss abortion! You’re for abortion…..

          • GreenAlba August 27, 2020 at 3:56 pm #

I have discussed abortion at some length, lying toad.

      • GreenAlba August 26, 2020 at 12:05 pm #

And you might want to recall that I didn’t start the conversation.

Kim appears obsessed with the minutiae of other people’s sex lives, not to mention his frequent assertions regarding other people’s supposed porn viewing.

Such obsessions have often proved to be the result of a personality entirely at odds with the one the obsessed person is aiming to project. But I wouldn’t presume to diagnose the reasons for his/her bizarre obsession.

        • Kim August 26, 2020 at 9:36 pm #

Yes, Kim – bees do sometimes bite rather than sting, but only on prey that is too small too small to sting (they’re not worth the energy required, I guess.

What’s more, their bite is venomous, paralysing the prey, particularly parasites:

Scientists have discovered bees not only bite enemies that are too small to sting, but paralyse their victims with a snake-like venom. The insects use their tiny mandibles to bite animals that are too small to sting, like the wax moth and the parasitic varroa mite.

Wikipedia informs us that in the tv series

“Oliver Stone used clips from about 60 fictional movies and TV shows over the course of The Untold History of the United States. He used them as a vehicle for telling stories of specific topics during given episodes”

Did he use any of Billy Wilder’s clips showing shrunken heads “from the death camps”?

Yes, my confidence in an historical narrative is always greatly increased by the use of additonal “illustrative” material created in Hollywood. LOL.

        • GreenAlba August 27, 2020 at 6:58 pm #

Thank you for the information, which is always useful.

I’m surprised you went to Wikipedia for it, though.

Using clips from fictional movies is not entirely unusual in the circumstance, if all you are doing is illustrating a story. It’s no different from a docu-drama. That you didn’t make up the story is what matters.

If someone wishes to make a programme about the English Civil War, for example, it’s a bit difficult to get footage from the time, while historical films of battles abound, as do battle re-enactment societies and clubs. It’s called ‘illustration’, and humans have always liked it.

Regarding a past “discussion” about Russia’s recent vaccine for the novel coronavirus, here is a part of a recent interview that D’mitry Orlov did with someone in Germany:

Q: Next question, Mr. Orlov. You wrote about the correlation between technology and medicine. To quote: Ukraine, to give just one example, is now Europe’s breeding ground for polio and measles, which were eradicated while Ukraine remained in the USSR. Could you elaborate on this?

Orlov: Yes. The Soviet Union made a major investment in public health, and eradicated many infectious diseases. The legacy of that is still being used. For instance right now, the plague, bubonic plague, has come back in Mongolia and a neighboring region of the Russian Federation, in Tuva. And the vaccine that was developed by Soviet scientists is being used today to vaccinate the people and stop that epidemic. And there are similar examples. For instance, the Sputnik V vaccine for coronavirus was developed in the Soviet Union in the 80s, and has now been repurposed, basically given a different payload, to develop immunity against the coronavirus.
There are many similar examples of technology being put to good use to save human lives, and a lot of that was done as public policy as opposed to commercial, privatized medicine, which is what, for example, the Americans are trying to do, rather unsuccessfully.

Q: So the next question, and I would ask one more thing regarding the Sputnik V vaccine. You said it was already developed in the Soviet Union. It is now reshaped, or a new version, but the formula is older, from Soviet times?

Orlov: Yes, the technique. It uses the adenovirus, a modified version of it that lacks the ability to replicate within the human body. The vaccine uses the adenovirus as the delivery vehicle. That’s most of what this technology is, and it’s proven, effective, etc.. And the payload is a little bit of the coronavirus genome that’s been chopped out specifically. It’s the bit that generates the spike protein that allows the virus to penetrate human cells. And so the adenovirus is introduced into the body, penetrates cells and releases its payload. The cells then produce the protein—at this point it doesn’t have very much to do with the coronavirus itself except for this one spike protein. That protein then reacts with the immune system and antibodies are generated, which is the end result of the whole process. And since the adenovirus lacks the ability to replicate, it just gets flushed out of the system. So the only new ingredient is the spike protein. It’s not toxic on its own; it doesn’t do anything on its own, really, except trigger an immune response, because the body doesn’t recognize it, which is what it has to do. So that’s the reason that the Russians were able to do this so quickly, and so successfully. Because it’s basically reuse of an existing technique with a slight modification.

    • GreenAlba August 26, 2020 at 11:54 am #

      cc

Adenoviral vectors aren’t limited to the Russian vaccine.

      https://cen.acs.org/pharmaceuticals/vaccines/Adenoviral-vectors-new-COVID-19/98/i19

Everyone else still thinks they need large-scale safety and efficacy trials. Using a vaccine that isn’t strong enough, for example, can produce a vaccine-resistant virus. This is one of the things they test for in Stage 3 trials (which is what the Russians are doing WHILE they administer the vaccine to the population early).

If you don’t test for this, you can find yourself with the same phenomenon that you get with dengue, where having a precise level of antibodies makes you more susceptible to another variety of dengue (my daughter’s just been through this double trouble – not nice, I gather – she said with the second set of symptoms she was really missing the first set).

When Alexander the Great was challenged to untie the Gordian knot, he took out his sword and cut it instead.

Similarly, How do you defeat a Chess Master? By overthrowing the board. You don’t play his game. If he insists, break his hands so he can’t move the pieces and you win by default. Or challenge him to something you’re good at and he isn’t. Anything, but don’t play chess.

    • SoftStarLight August 26, 2020 at 3:21 pm #

Ok so don’t play their game at all then. Overturn their game completely instead and ignore their rules and their set up. That makes more sense. I said once that we have to play their game but be better at it than they are but I was wrong. Hey, the weather is getting kinda bad here so I’m not sure how much longer I’ll have power today or tomorrow but I’ll try to stop in as much as I can :-).

“It is interesting to hear certain kinds of people insist that the citizen cannot fight the government. This would have been news to the men of Lexington and Concord, as well as the Mujahedeen in Afghanistan.

The citizen most certainly can fight the government, and usually wins when he tries. Organized national armies are useful primarily for fighting against other organized national armies. When they try to fight against the people, they find themselves at a very serious disadvantage.

If you will just look around at the state of the world today, you will see that the guerillero has the upper hand. Irregulars usually defeat regulars, providing they have the will. Such fighting is horrible to contemplate, but will continue to dominate brute strength.”

I am becoming more and more skeptical about the wearing of masks as the days go by.

There was a picture in the NYT today showing six men sitting around a table. Four of them were wearing masks, two others you couldn’t tell because their backs were towards the camera. One of the mask wearers had it on his face properly (i.e. covering mouth and nose) while three had their noses uncovered. I do the same thing. I leave my nose uncovered because I feel I’m going to suffocate otherwise. The caption with the picture made no mention of the noses being uncovered.

I watched the 46 minute video posted up-thread (by Malthus, I believe) and felt vindicated in not taking the whole mask thing too seriously.

    • Sredni Vashtar August 26, 2020 at 4:34 pm #

On Amtrak, you put it on until you sit down and then you take it off. I heard it’s much the same on planes. Just utter nonsense. A token of submission.

Wait until you take the time to research what a cloth mask does when a virus comes around.

“It is incredible how few people know anything anymore”

It’s truly a marvel that you, almost alone, have access to the REAL facts on EVERYTHING!

You’d make a great case study for a guy I met last night, who is studying Philosophy & Science Communication.

We had a most interesting conversation delving into the root causes of your particular affliction (no, not your narcissism, your CTNJ affliction). Fascinating and logical, it seems that you and your ilk just HAVE to have an alternative explanation for anything that is threatening.

He is particularly fascinated at just how the Conspiracist-in-Chief has infected the entire 30%-35% of Americans who identify as ‘Republican’.

      https://www.ox.ac.uk/news/2020-07-08-oxford-covid-19-study-face-masks-and-coverings-work-act-now

But you’re right that for the dopes who don’t know how to deal with a mask, they’d be better not wearing one. I’ve seen people take a used one off, put it in their pocket, take it out with their hands all over it, then go into a shop and touch things.

A whole lot of people haven’t the common sense of a gnat. And have an understanding of science that wouldn’t be out of place in the 13th century.

      • Nightowl August 27, 2020 at 5:07 pm #

I have no doubt that they could have believed that a cotton rag loosely fit around the nose and mouth could protect them from a virus in the 13th century.

Drop some more science on us.

And, remember that comment you made about moving goalposts? That’s what you’ve just done.

NOBODY claims a mask will ‘protect’ them from the virus. What it does, combined with social distancing, is to reduce transmission rates, so that an infected person is likely to pass the infection on to fewer people, on average, and to help ensure that the viral load people are confronted with at first exposure is lower than it might be.

No need to take it from me.

    Q,

If the COVID-19 outbreaks are recursive, then everything else being equal, it would wipe out most of the human race. I.e., if it has a death rate of say, 1%, then out of a population of 100, at the end of the first round of outbreaks they’d be 99 people left, then 98 after the second, etc.

Which brings me to the following: Robert Louis Stevenson wrote a short story called “the Bottle Imp”. Although it has nothing to do with viral outbreaks, it is a great example of recursive incidents. You seem to like story-telling, and RLS was a master. I think you would enjoy reading this short story, if you haven’t before.

I would also recommend it to any of the commenters here.

      ===========

Funny you should mention RLS. I recently re-read his famous novel, Treasure Island. He has an 8-line poem he wrote titled Requiem engraved on his tomb stone. Google it, it will bring a tear to your eye. I am particularly fond of the last two lines:

“Home is the sailor, home from the sea,
And the hunter home from the hill.”

When I return with my wife from a long car trip I pull up the driveway and repeat those two lines.

I will make a point to read The Bottle Imp. Thanks for the recommendation.

Q, remember the TV western ‘Death Valley Days’?

They’ve been running it on Grit TV, other night had the episode about Robert Louis Stevenson’s time living in an abandoned N Cal mining town with his new wife and young stepson, on their slow journey to the South Pacific. It was quite well done, had a sweetness about it.

I think I’ll read Treasure Island again, keep it on my shelf of books about pirates, where else.

I believe that those Japanese-look-alike slaves have traditionally been provided by the Ferengi.

      • Kim August 26, 2020 at 10:58 pm #

It is interesting to speculate how America – North and South – might be different if she had imported her slaves from Japan – for Japanese slaves were available for sale at the time. Unfortunately, they would have had to be brought across the Indian Ocean and around the Cape of Good Hope.

That was too expensive. In the short term.

In the historically longer term view, imagine how things might be today if 13.5% of US citizens were Japanese-Americans.

Of course it would have required bigger internment camps (not death camps) during WW2, but wow, wouldn’t the face of education, business and daily life be different today?

Instead of the descendants of slaves attacking old men who are sweeping the sidewalk, they’d be pitching in to help. Imagine. Market gardens. Small businesses. Orderly schools and a widesspread esteem for culture, cleanliness, order, tradition and education.

And how different would life be in Brazil? It’s like an incredible, beautiful dream.

Ultimately, after the end of slavery in British holdings, plantations in the Americas did get their slaves from non-African places – like India and China – as indentures. After ten years, indentures could stay on if they wished and 2 out of 3 chose to, rather than go home. Thus, the current demographics of Guyana today, 40% Afro, 55% “East Indian”, and the remainder indigenous.

Again, imagine if 13% of the USA were Japanese Americans.

        • Kim August 26, 2020 at 11:06 pm #

Sake instead of purple drank. The tea ceremony instead of carjackings. Haiku instead of rap. Houses with just paper walls but still no fear of a home invasion. Space exploration instead of urban devastation.

Anybody else seen video of events in DC last night, BLM mob of about 50, surrounding diners in a restaurant, shouting in their faces “White Silence is Violence”, and “Black Lives Matter”, insisting these poor people raise their fist in solidarity, I mean they were screaming at one woman who wouldn’t comply for 5 solid minutes … Its hard to watch, she was surrounded, reminded me of boot camp when DIs focus their wrath on one beleaguered recruit, you had to feel sorry for her just sitting there looking down, she was merely eating dinner, then this. They surrounded the table of one little boy of about 8, looking confused and frightened, he raised his little fist; he won’t be forgetting this incident anytime soon.

And in Kenosha, elderly man rushes to his burning package store with a fire extinguisher, Community Members streaming out with arms full of bottles, looted goods; a young Community Member suddenly coldcocks the old man, knocking him out. He was down when video ended.

Needless to say, don’t expect to see anything about these incidents on CNN. No matter, tens of thousands of people are aware of them. And it tens of thousands of more votes for President Trump.

[Black] Woman Attacks Lector During Mass At Cathedral Basilica Of Saints Peter And Paul

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYgSuBq9Em4

Yes, imagine if the slaves had been Japanese.

The funny thing is, there has been no need to import more blacks into North America but for some reason the governments still do.

For example, Canada, for some bizare reason, has 90,000 immigrants from British Guyana, mostly residing in Ottawa. Why? what do they bring that Canada could possibly need?

      From Wikipedia:

As of 2011, there are 208,899 Guyanese Americans currently living in the United States. The majority of Guyanese live in New York City – some 140,000 – making them the fifth-largest foreign-born population in the city.

And I am pretty sure that those “American-Guyanas”, even if they arrived in the USA last week, will have their hands out for reparations.

You know, they always say that blacks are 13.5% of the US population. I no longer believe the proportion is so small. There has been a massive legal influx of blacks into the USA from Haiti, Jamaica, Cuba, and Central and South America (e.g., British Guyana) since, say, 2000.

      Why? Where is the benefit?

  92. benr August 26, 2020 at 8:13 pm #

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-demands-a-drug-test-before-first-election-debate-with-joe-biden/ar-BB18p8s3?ocid=msedgdhp

Adderall is detectable in urine for 72-96 hours after last use, in blood for up to 46 hours, in saliva for 20-50 hours, and in hair for up to 3 months. The length of time it can be detected is influenced by several factors, including urine pH, weight, frequency of use, dose, and last use

He should demand hair drug testing.
