Did you happen to view the Attorney General being assailed by lunatics in the House Judiciary Committee Tuesday? It kind of looked like a scene from the French Revolution acted out by a road company touring Alice in Wonderland. Mr. Barr stolidly endured their orchestrated calumnies as though he had larger matters on his mind. Do not suppose it will end there, or end well for this shabby claque of mutts and harpies.

There is the rectified essence of your Democratic Party circa the awful year 2020, spreading its poisons into every organ of society like a fungal overgrowth, making the nation crazy as the old economy of cheeseburgers and happy motoring disintegrates under the spell of a mystifying plague and the peoples’ zombie indifference turns to epic woe and fury.

If the forlorn homunculus Chairman Nadler accomplished anything, it was to ratchet up Mr. Barr’s determination to round up and indict the figures behind the years-long campaign of sedition waged against the public interest and decency. Sometime before Halloween, an awful wrath is going to befall Barack Obama’s wingmen and handmaidens, and it will be a supremely sobering moment.

It’s the elected Democrats of Oregon — Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler and Governor Kate Brown — who have turned the Federal Courthouse there into a new Alamo by ordering their police to stand down. And isn’t it rather strange that they’ve gotten The New York Times and CNN rooting against the tiny crew of federal officers bravely defending the place? In a sane country, these politicians would be indicted as accessories to riot and insurrection. And the same goes for elected Democrats in Seattle, Minneapolis, Chicago, Richmond and other cities where the Antifa freaks are allowed to run wild.

Meanwhile, there was an odor of desperation at the funeral for Rep. John Lewis in Washington as Mr. Obama inveighed against the use of tear gas on “peaceful demonstrators” — the big lie of the season. Who has not seen the many videos of these masked freaks launching mortars and smashing things in the streets? Such a naked hustle suggests that the former president is using the mobs to mau-mau the country while he maneuvers to keep a legion of his former lieutenants out of jail. The screws are turning, as Attorney General Barr’s unflappable demeanor implied during the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on Tuesday.

The election itself is another front in this undeclared civil war. How exactly did the Democratic Party come to settle on a candidate with no credible capacity to serve as president? Who is Joe Biden fronting for, and who do they think they’re fooling? How can he possibly deliver an acceptance speech three weeks from now without giving away the game? That will be something to see — but I doubt we will actually see it. If the Dems don’t switch him out, there is no way Mr. Biden can survive the three-month homestretch of an election campaign. He can barely make it through a ten-minute appearance in front of twenty-three hand-picked partisans in a TV studio. Life imitates art, as Oscar Wilde tartly observed. The Manchurian candidate is truly here.

Mr. Barr is quite correct when he avers that an election by mail-in ballots is an invitation to fraud. The parallel campaign by the news media to ramp up extra hysteria over the corona virus is designed to ensure that scam. Keeping kids out of school is another angle on it, to plant a narrative that parents can’t possibly leave the house to go to a polling station. Wait for it. The result would be an election that can’t be resolved even by the Supreme Court. What will happen then?

I’ll tell you how it goes: Donald Trump will stand aside and yield to the military, to some general or committee of generals, and the country will be under martial law until the election is sorted out or re-run. And by then, the election may be the least of our problems, with tens of millions out-of-work, out-of-business, penniless, homeless, and hungry. That’s when they’ll truly be selling postcards of the hanging, as the old song goes. Then comes America’s Bonaparte moment. Yes, things can get that weird.

I saw Pres. Obama calling the rioters “peaceful”. Is he kidding? Whom should I believe, him or my lying eyes?

    • David Webb July 31, 2020 at 10:21 am #

I saw one left leaning political commentator describe a protester who was shot while carrying an AK-47 as a “peaceful unarmed protester.” I suppose a person can be peaceful while carrying an AK-47, but I don’t think there’s any way to twist the language to make them unarmed.

      • Sredni Vashtar July 31, 2020 at 11:26 pm #

Every protest is peaceful until it isn’t. And every protester. Who provokes these paragons of Leftist virtue? Surely the are the ones to blame!

      • sharonsj August 1, 2020 at 4:42 pm #

And what did you have to say when a bevy of armed right-wingers keeps showing up at protests? Oh, that was okay….

      • SG-71 August 4, 2020 at 11:17 pm #

Well, what if they were a double-amputee?? Which of course begs the question, what constitutes the act of carrying?

    • Northern Neck July 31, 2020 at 10:48 am #

Bull Connor may be gone. But today we witness with our own eyes police officers kneeling on the necks of Black Americans. George Wallace may be gone. But we can witness our federal government sending agents to use tear gas and batons against peaceful demonstrators.

For a tool, he has a big mouth. That’s not to say you’re wrong though…..

        • ThorsHammer July 31, 2020 at 5:21 pm #

Obama was simply the most successful President since Eisenhower. He stage managed the coup in Ukraine, returning it to its rightful Nazi owners and personally targeted thousands of Afghans for assassination by drone while earning the Nobel Peace Prize and convincing a majority of his Democrat followers that he was some sort of Guardian Angel.

Now Obama alone can to solve the Democrat’s quandary posed by the necessity of choosing a Vice President. Even a 10 year old child can see that lifelong grifter Biden is so far gone into dementia that he can’t remember his own name or wipe the drool off his chin. The only way to get him elected is to never let him out of his basement until he can be transported in a sterile glass bubble to his seat in the Oval Office where he can remain encased in amber until it is time to announce the transfer of the Presidency to the Vice President.

Biden’s handlers have backed themselves into a corner by announcing that 99,99% of qualified candidates are automatically disqualified in favor of a black or semi-black woman for VP. So the solution for finding the best VP to step into Biden’s shoes is staring us in the face: Obama should simply have a sex change operation and change his name to Betty Obama. Any questions about his constitutional qualification would fall aside, and the Biden/Obama ticket would win in a landslide.

          • Sredni Vashtar July 31, 2020 at 11:23 pm #

Is there any law that says Obama couldn’t be the veep, even as a man?

          • ThorsHammer August 1, 2020 at 1:08 pm #

            Sredni

I’m not sure that Obama couldn’t be appointed as VP, but he certainly would start a constitutional shitstorm if he ascended to the Presidency the day after Biden’s inauguration as planned!

As to the sex change operation, he probably would welcome it. He always has seemed to roll in that direction. Remember those idyllic scenes of him cavorting with Branson on his private island?

            LOL

      • tlauria July 31, 2020 at 11:14 am #

Obama is reprehensible. He completes the progressive triumvirate with Wilson and FDR as the other two legs of this 3-legged stool.

      • Cavepainter August 2, 2020 at 11:46 am #

Bull and George didn’t represent the broader national sentiment nor the spirit written into our nation’s aspirations to “more perfect union”, contrary to alledged “intrinsic rascim” which is revealed as a proposterous charge by even the slightest honest and
objective dilligence in studying history or drawing comparisons between our form of government and any other that has ever existed.

    • cc rider July 31, 2020 at 11:37 am #

Of course all of this BLM/Antifa nonsense and the “protests” over the mistreatment and “murder” of Saint George Floyd is in my opinion a grand psyop that was supposed to goad Trump into overreacting and essentially declaring martial law. He didn’t do it. Didn’t take the bait. Obama, the DNC’s House Negro, was hoping to be able at this time to denounce Trump for being a hideous tyrant and having some real evidence to back that up. So he, along with the others of his ilk are desperately trying to gin up the tyrant claims with pathetic non-evidence. Meanwhile, I think even many rank and file Dems are starting to see through the charade. Fact is, most people DO think that Federal buildings should be protected and cities should be free from Marxist tyranny.

And John Lewis…..the grrrrreeeeeaaaaat John Lewis. Perhaps one of the most notable poverty pimps of all time. A man tasked to keep the bruthas a sistas on the Democrat Plantation. And, unlike Obama he was an authentic negro. Right Al and Jesse? They’re nodding their heads.

      • neurodoc July 31, 2020 at 12:34 pm #

REsponse to cc rider: I hope you’re correct in your analysis of rank and file dems waking up to the charade, aka insurrection. I’m not that optimistic. I suspect that most, if not all, people who SUPPORT and identify as dems are delusional half wits (e.g. desperate unemployable millennials, schooled but uneducated racialist africans, and self hating racialist EuroAmericans, esp female bleeding hearts). These people can’t wake up. Their identities have been set by listening to half truths, lies, and confabulations from so called ‘professor’s and race baiting politicos that speak to their unspoken jealousies, inner hatreds, and self depreciating thoughts. These things can’t be changed without YEARS of psychotherapy, and most of such people will never be able to afford such or even have the insight to seek it. They will either foment more and more riots/violence until they’re definitively brought to heel, or simply disappear into starvation and disease in the coming years. Much mendacity and difficulty ahead, either way.

        • cc rider July 31, 2020 at 1:12 pm #

I have no idea of course as to how many rank and file Dems are disgusted with the BLM/Antifa antics. My guess is that however many of them there are, they are mostly above the age of 50. In other words the ones who do bother to vote.

But, we’ll see. My overall viewpoint as to how all of this plays out is not optimistic. Even if Trump somehow wins again it will be a horrible shit show going forward, for obvious reasons. Second term Presidents are often lame ducks just before the next mid-term election. Since we are not in normal times I would say that Trump would be a lame duck before he takes the second oath in January.

        • Ivehadenough August 1, 2020 at 7:08 am #

doc….sadly you are 101% correctomundo. This is la la land on steroids, these democrats and their ilk are insane and there’s no going back. 40 years of extreme leftist feminist indoctrination of our youth produced a zombie nation that we are now seeing staggering around looking for blood from normal healthy people. My own child, raised in a conservative household with a balanced up bringing replies to actual facts as “fake news fake news fake news”. The Barr assignation by the democratic fools was embarrassing for this once proud country. Thanks for the post!

          • neurodoc August 1, 2020 at 10:34 am #

My child too, raised in a conservative, upper middle class home with both parents present, went to the same university I did in the 70s (which was sane THEN) but came home with your noted ‘fake news’ response to everything I tell her, and crazy socialist SJW ideas and an inability to discuss sensitive topics, with responses such as ‘that’s racist’ to the most innocuous ideas. Hopefully with maturity and a JOB, the insanity will fade. Crossing fingers. Same thing happened to several close friends.

  2. Quatermain July 31, 2020 at 10:11 am #

  3. RB July 31, 2020 at 10:12 am #

The democrats are struggling to keep Justice Ginsberg alive until Jan 2021. The SCOTUS has gone over to the dark side which comes as no surprise. Trump’s picks are typical of GOP luck with trying to conservatise the courts. Never get it right. I fear Mr. Barr will not get to the finish line. There are signs of foot dragging. The GOP has circled the firing squad. Lock and load.

    • shotho July 31, 2020 at 10:21 am #

I’m afraid you’re right. The GOP is no longer a viable option to the Democratic juggernaut.

      • CancelMyCard July 31, 2020 at 11:35 am #

        Most Republicans are RINOs,

and have been for many decades now.

    • DrTomSchmidt July 31, 2020 at 11:06 am #

Trumps picks have been pretty reliably aligned with what was expected, John Roberts, by contrast, has become the David Souter pick. Don’t trust Bush Presidents with your Supreme Court picks is the lesson. Reagan had Scalia, O’Connor, andKennedy; none went completely liberal. Had Lewis Powell retired in 1986 instead of 1987, Reagan could have gotten Bork through the Senate.

Bush I had Clarence tHomas, and David Souter. The latter was effectively a liberal democratic vote, and he resigned so that Obama could replace him. Bush II had Roberts and Alito, but Alito was the second choice after the questionably right wing Harriet Miers.

It’s interesting that the Bush candidates who had little opposition wound up moving left. Alito, Thomas, and Kavanaugh, having come into the court as a result of controversies, are likely going to remain right. Perhaps the size of the opposition to them indicates the knowledge that they wouldn’t change or “grow” when in place, while Roberts was accepted because someone had something on him and knew he could be pressured, as in Obamacare.

Breyer and Ginsburg are both past their expected lifespans. Clarence Thomas, at 72, is getting up there. He might not make it 4 more years to retire f a D wins this fall. could he retire now to be strategically replaced with another Solid conservative?

By contrast, if Trump wins, Breyer and Ginsburg will become Republican picks.

      • abbybwood July 31, 2020 at 12:30 pm #

It wouldn’t matter if any SC justice died or retired now.

There wouldn’t be time to vet a new justice and have hearings etc.

What ever happens with the SC it will be the president sworn in next January who will choose.

        • shabbaranks August 1, 2020 at 9:06 am #

That would be the conventional wisdom, but I’m not so certain I agree with it. I think so long as Trump is president there is enough time for him to appoint a replacement for Ginsburg should she leave the court. See the following commentary from Noah Feldman, liberal Harvard Law professor and former clerk for stealth liberal democrat Justice David Souter. Feldman knows Trump and McConnell have the Democrats by the balls on the Supreme Court pick.

  4. David Webb July 31, 2020 at 10:16 am #

This is a strange situation. I have friends and acquaintances on both (some extreme) ends of this bipolar political spectrum that has been forced upon us who have roughly the same opinion of Biden. It seems that for some reason the DNC has chosen to coronate a candidate that is at best tolerated by half the country, and hated by the other half.

    • shotho July 31, 2020 at 10:26 am #

All they need to know is that he isn’t Trump.

      • David Webb July 31, 2020 at 7:40 pm #

Actually, most of the extreme left wingers I know aren’t swayed by Biden’s “I’m not Trump” campaign. That’s not enough for them, they want him to be Bernie. Not that they’ll vote for Trump, but they’ll probably be writing in Bernie or voting Green Party.

Some heavy wishful thinking regarding the hearings and the Durham investigation. When was the last time anything fruitful came of hearings? It’s just for show. And about Durham. If I remember correctly, last fall Barr stated that Durhams investigation would wrap up in the spring. Here we are in late summer and nothing. This too is for show to appease Trump. And if Trump and gang lose the election it will all be swept into the dust bin.

    • shotho July 31, 2020 at 10:24 am #

Yes, I’m afraid that our host is into deep wishful thinking, but I can’t really blame him for the reality is too depressing. The supposed Durham investigation seems to be a nothing-burger, already too late to do any real damage. Methinks, the Republicans want Trump gone, as much as the Democrats.

      • Disaffected July 31, 2020 at 11:25 am #

Yes, ever opportunistic always sense and go with the winning hand. Once it became apparent that Trump was lame duck, as it has been at least since this whole CV19 nonsense first sprouted from Ft Detrick, they all began abandoning ship. Jim is correct above, what evil witch lurks in the shadows to replace the Zombie Biden in the weeks ahead? Rhetorical question that, as we all know her imperial name. The Black Queen will not be denied!

    • abbybwood July 31, 2020 at 12:35 pm #

I too am afraid Barr/Durham May be slow walk g this investigation and the day is quickly approaching where Barr will say he has to hold the results so to not appear he is trying to “influence the election”.

Plus early voting is right around the corner and many will have already mailed their ballots in by Halloween.

A Labor Day deadline would serve the electorate better.

  7. Jigplate July 31, 2020 at 10:21 am #

“Sometime before Halloween, an awful wrath is going to befall Barack Obama’s wingmen and handmaidens, and it will be a supremely sobering moment.” How I wish that would happen, but alas, I dont share our host’s confidence. The fix as they say, is likely in. It’s my belief, that as we get closer to November the entire matter will be “deferred” because it is too “political” ( as if the entire scam wasnt “political” from the start). If the drooling husk wins, watch how quickly the whole mess will go away.

    • tlauria July 31, 2020 at 10:52 am #

In my more pessimistic moments I agree with the idea it will all be deferred. But occasionally the clouds part and I remember that the collective memory of the populace has the life span of a house fly so maybe indictments are coming in mid-October, just near enough to election day that they won’t have been forgotten. Too optimistic?

      • abbybwood July 31, 2020 at 12:57 pm #

In California the only ballots counted will be those received by Election Day. So even if your ballot is post-marked two weeks prior but not received yet it will not be counted.

Which is one of the many problems with mail in voting: Chain of custody.

When one votes in person that ballot is dropped into a box and that box is transported directly to the Registrars office for counting.

Just research all the mail that has been lost or stolen or misplaced over the last year with the USPS!

Just week we had no mail delivered for three days with no explanation! (Hawthorne, CA).

Between the wildly varied “scientific” explanations about Covid-19 and the destruction of some American cities by criminals who are treated like third-rate actors on the stage instead of being locked up, I feel like this country is being seriously PUNKED.

The question is this: Are the American people wise enough to upset the DNC’s applecart?

        • benr July 31, 2020 at 4:38 pm #

Odd no mail delivery in the last two days not even junk mail in San Diego.

Hey,….for me what’s been lacking up to this point is Bonaparte’s recommendation of giving them a blast of “grapeshot”, referencing the rioters who should be ligitimately seen as “enemies from within”. Its warfare, and always in war there is colateral damage. I advocate that when ligitimate enforcement authority is under harmful attack the source should be confronted with anihillation tactics; postitioned snipers free to target with deadly force any threat of physical harm to law enforcement, even at risk of colateral harm to those rallied in sympathetic support to those committing criminal acts.

If Trump played it smart he’d do what LBJ did & announce he won’t be seeking another term. Unemployment insurance will run out soon but rent, utilities & the need for something to eat go on & on. There’s no solution as far as I can tell for what the country will be like in six month which says something about the NYT or any other news source deserving any respect. They spent plenty of ink on 1619 but looming starvation is of little interest.

Obama Inc. showed their true allegiances with the fraud of a health care bill. No surprise now he doesn’t care if the country burns.

    • lateStarter July 31, 2020 at 11:16 am #

I agree. He could harp on the ‘everybody hates me’ thing and simply say that he has had enough. I would love to see the Dems in control when this sack of shit catches fire. Please note: I loathe both parties equally. Grifters all.

    • stelmosfire July 31, 2020 at 11:31 am #

Why should Obama care if the country burns?. He’s got his island compound out on the Vineyard complete with a cadre of automatic weapons equipped Secret Service agents. He probably has a Coast Guard cutter off his beach for pirate protection. Myself? I am in Ma. also and have to jump through hoops to legally own a measly six-shooter.

      • elysianfield July 31, 2020 at 11:40 am #

        “a measly six-shooter”

        Saint,
A Smith & Wesson Model 28 is anything but “measly”.

        • neurodoc July 31, 2020 at 12:45 pm #

Measly, compared to an AR15 or AR10 or FAL, and to a Smith 500 with an 8 inch barrel and all with buffalo bore ammo.

          • elysianfield July 31, 2020 at 1:17 pm #

EF, S&W 28’s are expensive. I’m on a fixed income. I’m waiting for my new $1200 stimulus check.

“compared to an AR15 or AR10 or FAL” Too bad we can’t own those in MA

      • lateStarter July 31, 2020 at 11:48 am #

And the upper 10-20% don’t care either as long as they are insulated from the mayhem outside the gates. Let us see how far the ladder gets pulled up.

        • SW July 31, 2020 at 2:44 pm #

They’re insulated for now but white collar workers are going to be losing jobs in record numbers too. All those salesmen ? Selling what? And the US is drowning in lawyers. There are five ads for different ambulance chasers in Austin every single night. All those “financial advisors”?

          • lateStarter July 31, 2020 at 3:20 pm #

I think that is the key, Once those white collar workers start feeling the pain and realize they are just as expendable/essential as the deplorables stocking the shelves at Publix, things will start to get ugly. Or maybe not. What are they going to do? Write a harsh letter to their congress-critter?

The 10-20% crowd are going to feel it the worse, They are simply not used to any type of discomfort or inconvenience.

Barr will never get those indictments up and running before he is replaced by whoever the anointed negress who takes over from Biden appoints to replace Barr, who will have been fired at 12:01 PM Jan. 21. 2021. Everyone knows the game and the neo bolsheviks controlling the Democrat party are hardly trying to conceal it. Trump should dump Pence while he still can and bring Tucker on board. They might have a slim chance against the Dems’ vote by mail program of “vote early and vote often”.

    • Sredni Vashtar July 31, 2020 at 12:32 pm #

And when did a Black ever care about Justice – unless it favored him or his own in some way? Objectivity is a White thing. Logic. Science. And yes, the idea that Justice is blind.

Between the new depression and financial shuck and jive games played by the Fed, combined with the Dems’ plans to tilt the table so only our most inept control the country and the dispersal of “gibs”, the rest of the world may see its shackles loosened as the American Empire implodes like a souffle. With weeds growing on the decks of our carrier battle groups as they rust at dockside 10 years from now, the rest of the world will be free to sort out its affairs without our interference. What I see happening in USA all the way from Norway is that minorities, especially african-americans, are being sent an harsh message: “You better vote for the democrat nominee come third of November, or you see what we can do to where you live”.

It sounds outlandish ,conspiratorial and awefuly cynical but the facts points to it as they are being revealed.

    1. Democrats run all cities that have seen riots in the last few months. Helping them by hindering police from interfering.

    2. All cities with poor and ill-run neighborhoods have been run by democrats for decades with no beneficial results.

    3. A large part of rioters indiscriminately ruining poor communities are young and white anarchist/antifa types.

    4. Defund the police popped up over night, all supported by democrats, but polls show 9/10 african-americans are against it. Ofcource!

    5. The media are supporting the rioters and working hard to manufacture a narrative that will benfit democrats in the upcoming election. Neglecting their responsibility to accurately report the news.

I suggest everyone read this article by a very good journalist (rare, I know) on the aftermath of the riots in places not reported on.

( e.g. Louisville nfac shooting 3 members by stupidity, bumbling inepts with guns in chop, and a group of african militia marching openly into Stone Mtn and calling out the WHITE militias, as if they think its the Brits vs the French in 1810). Is anyone outside the dem/communist cities actually fearful of african blm morons or the antifa loonies? NO. Why? Concealed Carry, Open Carry, Training!

        • Sredni Vashtar July 31, 2020 at 1:09 pm #

They’re ridiculous one level, yes. But you wouldn’t be laughing if they came down your dead end street. Knock off the silly bravado –
people like this are going to be killing a lot of our brothers and sisters in the near future.

What if they are given semi-official status in your state? Or hell, by the Feds themselves? Hurt one of them and you’re the criminal? Impossible? Nothing is impossible now.

          • neurodoc July 31, 2020 at 2:34 pm #

No bravado. EVERY family on my street ( large upper middle class loop in a small Tn city) has at least one member who is heavily armed and well trained. Many, myself included, MD Major, USArmy RET, are former military. We have a neighborhood protection group that is also heavily armed and well trained. Guns are totally legal and encouraged here and we have the castle doctrine NOT administered by parents or offspring of feral ‘humans.’

These fools (NFAC) will only be good for theatre. Training is expensive. I’ve done a number of 3 gun competitions since moving here, and it’s easy to go through $100 worth of store bought ammo in a single day. I’ve been a reloader for many years, and based on my experience with this population, I dont see them being able to consitently set up and safely run a progressive reloading press to produce the quantity of reliable ammo required for any type of organized training.

Is anyone outside the dem/communist cities actually fearful of african blm morons or the antifa loonies?

It is a continuous low-grade war and it is not just the agitprop types who are weaponized against whites, but the entire black underclass.

The people who are “actually fearful” of blacks are white and asian people going about their daily lives, not safe from blacks even in their own gated homes.

As I have said before, I could post a number (dozens) of black-on-white murders and very serious assaults every single day of the year. They are never reported nationally. Here are four black on white murders fresh-reported just yesterday.

          http://www.nnnforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=345424

Black Ashtabula woman (27) is heading to Lorain County to face charges in the fatal shooting of a white woman (29) July 24 in Elyria.

          http://www.nnnforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=345425

Black Cleveland man indicted for shooting (white female) police officer several times during domestic violence call

          http://www.nnnforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=345432

WINDERMERE, Fla. – Two (white) men were beaten to death with a baseball bat and a (white) woman was seriously injured late Thursday during an attack at a home in a gated Windermere community by a (black) man while a (white) 10-year-old boy called authorities while hiding in a bathroom, police said.

It is a race war and it is approved from on high. It is just that most whites so far are blind to it, or are in denial.

        • elysianfield August 1, 2020 at 12:35 am #

          Doc,
Fearful? Situational awareness demands respect for the threat…from whatever quarter.

The Black Panthers of the late 60’s…many were clowns… cops were usually armed, both concealed and open carry, and were trained.

          Shit still happened.

“Such a naked hustle suggests that the former president is using the mobs to mau-mau the country while he maneuvers to keep a legion of his former lieutenants out of jail. The screws are turning, as Attorney General Barr’s unflappable demeanor implied during the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on Tuesday.”

I wouldn’t use “Mau Mau” to describe the actions of a President whose father came from Kenya. If he really is a Mau Mau leader, you won’t like what happens when he comes after you. Maybe just stick to Maoist?

It really was a mad hatter’s Tea Party. Well described.

Respectfully, I disagree. Proclaiming proprietorial privilege of one group to language usage disallowed to others has been the Left’s asymmetrical, psychological warfare upon reasoned engagement, upon objective analysis of contextualized history, upon honest discourse re cultural/social/political issues. That is racism of the most biased and condescending order.

By illustration consider the “N-word”: Now long time standing it is public domain by fact of profitably as stock lexicon by the entertainment industry – lifting “killer rap” celebrities to millionaire status. Profit margins must be protected, whether purely economic or in terms of political capital. Hence, marketing strategy has programed the public to buy the proposition that usage of the N-word is a privileged entitlement of one group alone. “Segregated” usage (that is to say) more insidious in reverse fashion than racism slandered about in front-page BOLD PRINT! A worse-case scenario of Orwellian “double speak” and some “being more equal than others”.

Black Lives Matter has done more damage to Black culture than did Jim Crow laws. Consequently, our nation now bears the burden of several generations of what amounts to feral children – uncivilized due to lack of parenting and indoctrinated (Maoist fashion) rather than educated.

Looks like we’ve officially entered the short term phase of the long emergency. Fun times just ahead! My money’s on the military having to sort this whole mess out too. Hey, they couldn’t hardly make a bigger mess of it if they tried!

    • neurodoc July 31, 2020 at 12:04 pm #

RESPONSE to Disaffected: Many parts of the country, primarily so called ‘red’ states, don’t need the military to ‘sort things out.’ —– very heavily armed, massive ammo stores, many military bases, and the militias are already being activated and called up. There are 300+ million KNOWN guns in the US and most libtards don’t have them and don’t know how to use them (look what happened to the morons w/ nfac in Louisville, and the gun bumbling fools at chop that couldn’t operate the mag or the pull on a simple AR). Most military, X possibly the so called air ‘force,’ is RED at heart. Of recent, I’ve seen libtards at the gun range and it is truly pitiful. They’re like little girls trying to operate and shoot guns (apologies to the MANY red state women who carry). Most of the ‘red’ states are populated with men who have been trained from age 6 or 7 to use firearms. (e.g. Despite now having a PhD and MD, I was shooting squirrels and rabbits on my on at age 7!!!!) Think Amerikan Spetznatz. So no, military not necessary for sorting. They might get sorted themselves.

      • Disaffected July 31, 2020 at 1:08 pm #

Military’s going to be needed for DC, though. Those fools ain’t going to go willingly. And don’t fool yourself, the USAF is red as hell too.

I totally agree about the military being needed for the places where moron dems run the show. They quickly backed down and LEFT (without military intervention). Glad to hear about the USAF, we always thought they were a little soy but glad as hell when they showed up when called.

Reading you 5 by 5 brother. As a veteran of over 30 years most of my true friends own and have carry permits. I believe at some point many true Americans are going to get sick and tired of this blm, antifa, and democratic horse sh*t and end the rioting the only way it can be stopped. This is utterly insane, cops being attacked, federal buildings and statues destroyed and all for what. Bunch of silly children and morons thinking everyone owes them something for literally nothing. I couldn’t have said it better myself brother. Right night too many soyboys and pussyboys are moaning and crying about blm and anitifa going to get them. I suspect most of those people are in shitfhole states that have outrageous gun laws, e.g. MA, NY, Mn, etc etc ad nauseum. If they were smart they would leave and move to states that have castle doctrines and allow self defense. But they groan ‘oh no I can’t afford to leave, ect ect.’ In fact, My grandparents came here from Europe with NOTHING and survived and thrived; people can clearly leave the shithole states and learn to defend themselves if that really want too. Maybe its just a matter of growing a pair.

This 75 year old man (me) is still working, owns his own local business in Massachusetts, has an adult child working for him, has young grandchildren 6 and 10 whose parents are school teachers living 20 miles away, and all his own friends and relatives local as well. I could move away, but my emotional losses would cost more than I could ever gain in safety. Besides, I’ve already lived most of my life. To relocate for what?
So I can (legally) own an AR15? BTW, one can legally own an AR15 or any other high capacity firearm in Mass. if it was manufactured before 1994. Hell, I was manufactured before 1994 and I work just fine.

    ==

I’m glad James finally decided to take some antihistamines and get over his “allergy” to “conspiracy theories”. The fact is, EVERYTHING we see hear and experience is a scripted and staged conspiracy. Nothing happens by accident.

It’s not an accident that Switzerland is designated “neutral” and beyond political reproach. It’s not an accident that Switzerland is the world’s capital of the underworld’s shadow banking. It’s not an accident that Switzerland is where Vatican Satanists are trying smash God into pieces in a collider. It’s not an accident that Switzerland is the pederast child rape capital of the world. It’s not an accident that Switzerland is where the Pope commandeers his mercenary army and soldiers from. It’s not an accident that Switzerland is where the most vile Vatican organizations, like the Priory of Sion (authors of the Protocols of Zion) are located.

And neither is it an accident that not a single person out of HUNDREDS of seditious commie gov mafia criminals has even been arrested under Attorney General Barr. And none will be.

What James doesn’t fully appreciate, being that he only very recently started administrating antihistamines for his allergies, is that Attorney General Barr is, how shell we put it mildly, of a certain ancient Roman persuasion, and that is that. So nothing will come to anything while our Vatican mafia Manchurian candidate is posing as a US Attorney General.

    • torquemada July 31, 2020 at 12:20 pm #

Akmofo, the Vatican hasn’t been relevant in world affairs since the end of the papal states. Maybe stop letting us Catholics live rent-free in your head for a change.

By the way, among us rosary-praying, mass-attending, statue-kissing Catholics, Biden is a persona non grata. Odd that he’s the Manchurian candidate of a church that actively refuses him Communion, but hey, you seem to know more than I do.

        Grand Inquisitor,

When a tree falls in the forest, it falls in the forest, yes? It falls in the forest whether or not the MSM Vatican mafia propaganda outlets show this or not, yes?

When every US President stops visiting the Vatican for “no reason at all” maybe I’ll consider buying that Vatican lokshen. The VERY FIRST place President Trump visited at the very first days of his office was the Vatican. Why?!! Why?!!

Why did Clinton and the Bushes make multiple visits to the Vatican? Why do the rulers of the world keep going to the Vatican? Why?!!

Just because the MSM Vatican propaganda mafia keep blinding people with its propaganda magic act of making facts invisible does not mean that the facts the not there!

        • SW July 31, 2020 at 2:58 pm #

Gosh Akmofo —- why do Presidents visit Israel? Saudi Arabia? Great Britain? Could it be the Evil Pope orders him to? I know this is a subject that interests you greatly but maybe corporations have more power now than any religion.

          • akmofo July 31, 2020 at 3:32 pm #

US Presidents and world leaders visit important and strategic countries. The Vatican according to the assertion presented here is none of that. There should be no reason to visit the Vatican, especially by such high-level political leaders as it is claimed to be irrelevant.

Corporations are somewhat exposed to public scrutiny and awareness, the Vatican is not and never has been. That’s because the Vatican has complete control over public discourse. There is next to no public awareness of the Vatican and its criminal agents, and its criminal history both present and past is hidden by a compliant and uncritical mass media, educational institutions, and law-enforcement both local and international.

The “there’s nothing to see here “ propaganda line is not gonna fly with me and it shouldn’t fly with anybody who’s got a couple of grey cells to rub together.

Akmofo – I get your distinction between the Vatican as a political institution versus individual Catholic believers and possibly even Catholicism in all its diverse expressions. (FWIW, I am not a Catholic.)

I too find it interesting that US Presidents visit the microstate of Vatican City but not the nearby microstate of San Marino, although the US has good relations with the latter.

And those who say that the Vatican has had no relevance politically since the period of the Papal States should explain this discrepancy between how US Presidents treat Italian enclave microstates beyond it’s obvious. They also need to explain how visits to the politically irrelevant Vatican City are somehow comparable to visits to Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Great Britain.

Catholics? You’re worried about Catholics? The necromancers in the Vatican have circled the wagons. They are quite busy defending its wealth against all those regrettable claims of sexual abuse and pedophilia. (Really, what other kinds of men can it attract?) They have lost control and no amount of money can buy back what is gone. The moral high ground it has always claimed, as well as belief in papal infallibility has disintegrated. The Church has been proven to have feet of clay. They’ve lost the US and most of Europe over the last fifty years. Even the Irish are starting to entertain doubts. I’ve heard whispering of complaints from Latin America and Africa, and they never did get a good foothold in Asia. The Protestant versions of Christianity are too diffuse and lack the internal structure to assume the lead here. The Church had a good run.

            Odin,

It’s not about Catholics. I don’t attack individual Catholics for being Catholic unless I have a very very good reason to.

It’s about the Vatican as an institution. An institution with a longstanding Satanic agenda that works its nefarious malevolent machinations unobserved in the dark. The lack of scrutiny has allowed the Vatican to wage war on humanity unseen and unknown and with total impunity. All our modern and ancient mass murdering satanic political and cultural movement, all have their origin in the Vatican. This history needs to be exposed and become common knowledge. This ancient evil, this vile Roman institution, has to go. It needs to disappear from this planet.

        @ Atorquemada

kmofo, the Vatican hasn’t been relevant in world affairs since the end of the papal states.

The papacy and the church have been an enormously useful propaganda bullhorn around the world, especially in South America and including in the West since WW2.

The main role of the church since WW2 used to be as a legitimizer of Marxism and Communism and related policies under the label of “social justice” or the “social gospel” but in recent decades its main propaganda work has been in two main arenas of the anti-human Satanic and globalist agenda:

        1) To gain total control of the human psyche through the destruction of the traditional family and the reduction of human identity to, principally, its beastly sexual identity. In this dogma, human sexuality is not merely redesigned as a wedge to be hammered in between men and women, as a destroyer of trust and love between men and women and as a discouragement from family formation, but acts as a distraction from higher levels of thought.

In sum, human sexuality then acts as the ring in the bull’s nose for entire sections of society who have been taught to believe that their sexual actiities are the chief element of their identity.

As with all addictive activities, this sexualization of human society involves a constantly increasing level of stimulation that leads to behaviors and beliefs that are entirely negative for the organism, whether individual, or social.

As a result, this scheme revolves around gaslighting people and reconditioning their gag reflex so that the will accept as normal and acceptable ever-more-extreme sexual perversions and sex-related mental illnesses, not just homosexuality, which was the starting point, but anything up to and including the normalization of trans-gender insanities such as radical reassignment drugs and surgery for pre-pubescents, homosexual adoption and pedophilia acceptance.

        2) To encourage and legitimize the acceptance of mass immigration as part of the globalist agenda of destroying the nation state, in particular in the West, and the breeding of white people out of existence.

        • akmofo July 31, 2020 at 9:46 pm #

          +1

Just a little addition to point #2)

Vatican sponsorship of mass migration is a conduit for child trafficking and the procurement of fresh young bodies for Vatican pederasty child rape and ritual murder. The Jesuits have been at this ritual murder of children for centuries and projected their criminality on Jews, as blood for matzah. Many Jews have mass murdered directly because of this outrageous and most vile blood libel. Jews are strictly forbidden by God from consuming blood of any kind, and in fact that’s the whole point of Kosher slaughter which the Vatican/EU now made illegal in Europe.

Do give us more details about this gender reassignment ‘surgery for pre-pubescents’, including where it is available.

Remember, your credibility is at stake here. And not for the first time.

A list of hospitals and doctors, please, who practise gender reassignment surgery not just on under-18s, but on pre-pubescents. I’m not a fan of the whole transgender thing, but you have me fascinated.

The floor is yours, as some are fond of saying.

          • Kim August 1, 2020 at 9:25 pm #

Because you are a dishonest person, you are trying to score points by misrepresenting what I wrote.

What I wrote – not what you wish I had written – is as follows:

“As a result, this scheme revolves around gaslighting people and reconditioning their gag reflex so that the will accept as normal and acceptable ever-more-extreme sexual perversions and sex-related mental illnesses, not just homosexuality, which was the starting point, but anything up to and including the normalization of trans-gender insanities such as radical reassignment drugs and surgery for pre-pubescents, homosexual adoption and pedophilia acceptance.”

Clearly, I am entirely and literally correct in this statement. This gaslighting has been ongoing for a number of years now and does include in its goals the normalization of perversions up to and including those I have listed.

            Are you preparing your apology?

Indeed, this process of gaslighting has been so general and its pressure so great that legislators around the world have felt the need to respond to it with specific legislation, usually to counter it, but on certain sad occasions to approve or support it.

Here is a random selection of links – for your sake, none of them are Breitbart, but there are so many, they are very easy to find – to news reports on these laws, confirming everything that I in fact said in my original post:

            https://www.wvlt.tv/content/news/Proposed-bill-aims-to-ban-conversion-therapy–568137681.html

A proposed Tennessee bill will attempt to ban sexual identity change therapy for prepubescents. Senator Janice Bowling and Representative John Ragan proposed SB2215, HB 2576 on Feb. 4.

According to the bill, sexual identity change therapy is a “course of treatment that involves the use of hormone replacement, puberty blockers or other medical intervention to change the sexual identity or physical appearance of a patient to sexual identity or physical appearance that does not correspond to the anatomy and chromosomal makeup with which the patient was born.”

The bill would prevent sexual identity change therapy from offered to a minor who has not yet entered puberty. A person who has entered puberty would not have access to sexual identity change therapy unless a parent or guardian provided a signed written statement with a recommendation from two or more physicians.

            https://edition.cnn.com/2020/01/22/politics/transgender-healthcare-laws-minors-trnd/index.html

The bill would make it a misdemeanor for physicians or any medical professionals to perform gender reassignment surgeries on minors or provide patients 16 and younger with hormones, even if the minor is emancipated.

            https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/04/22/trans-children-banned-surgery-change-gender-equalities-minister/

Trans children to be banned from surgery to change their gender, the equalities minister announces

Currently, people under the age of 18 are allowed surgery but with parental consent…the equalities minister today signalled plans to ban under-18s with gender dysphoria from genital reconstructive surgery in a move, she claimed, which would “protect them from making those irreversible decisions”….

            https://perspectives.com/transgender-puberty-blocking-drug-linked-to-thousa-t35064.html

This article discusses the use of “a puberty blocker in gender-confused children”.

The practise does not sound very safe: “More than 6,300 adults have died from reactions to a drug that is used as Food & Drug Administration data reportedly shows.”

“Lupron is being prescribed off-label for use in children who have been diagnosed with gender dysphoria despite the lack of formal FDA approval for that purpose,” the outlet explained.”

            “Are you preparing your apology?”

No need to prepare it. You have my apology for misreading your sentence.

Any hope of an apology to the readership for spreading your disgusting holocaust denial memes?

‘Nobody died at Treblinka’, I believe you claimed.

          • GreenAlba August 3, 2020 at 8:12 am #

Also please note that I have not endorsed hormone or any other treatment in children in any of my previous posts. And maybe I’ve missed something in your post, but I’ve still to see any reference anywhere other than in your post to surgery on pre-pubescent children, as opposed to 16- or 17-year-olds with parental permission.

          • GreenAlba August 3, 2020 at 8:38 am #

BTW, I worked as a freelancer, on behalf of the Taylor and Francis imprint that produced this book (which does not, of course reflect anything at all about my opinions – I’ve had to work on seriously unscientific drivel very occasionally too):

            https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gender-Affirmation-Medical-Surgical-Perspectives/dp/1626236836/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=christopher+salgado&qid=1596457586&sr=8-1

So I’m aware of quite a bit more of the nitty gritty than you are.

There is nothing in this very comprehensive book about surgery on pre-pubescents, that being entirely illegal an’ all, and no suggestion that it should ever be possible. Not to mention that you can’t remove breasts, for example, from someone who hasn’t got any yet.

I recall the content on mental health and ethics, particularly with regard to under-18s.

          • GreenAlba August 3, 2020 at 8:43 am #

But mostly I’m not prepared to ‘recondition my gag reflex’ to accommodate someone who promotes lies about what happened in Treblinka.

Nor will I EVER take lessons in morality or honesty from such a creature.

Because people like you spit on people’s graves. People whose close families are still alive to see you do it. Inducing my gag reflex. I hope I never become immune to the disgusting nature of your repulsive propaganda.

‘Donald Trump will stand aside and yield to the military…’ WOW! What a prediction JK.

I have an alternative prediction: the election is postponed, and the left, antifa, blm, nfac, and other lunatic ‘fringe’ groups are directed to go into full war mode. At that point we’ll have something that approximates a ‘red’ state / ‘blue’ state war with pockets of red in blue and blue in red. And with red/blue I’m not talking r vs d; I’m referring to basic culture and values. After fist BIG blood is drawn by blue crazies, the heavily armed red will kill everything that looks like or seems associated with blue including the so called ‘UN’. The military will split into red/blue factions and participate or dissolve as a unity. Then, we will be several steps closer to ‘world made by hand.’ …..If not there!
Read about the former Yugoslavia; its all there in real history.

“The military will split into red/blue factions and participate or dissolve as a unity.”

I’ve had this discussion with some of the resident leftists on this board. When one intimated that a Stryker brigade would visit my home to relieve me of my Citori over/under, I politely pointed out that while the higher ranks in the military tend to lean left, (which is why you don’t hear the MSM complaining about the pentagon anymore) the lower ranks – particularly the “tip of the spear” forces are a different story. They tend to be White males who hail from traditionally conservative red states. Although the military currently number 1.3 million, surprisingly few compromise what you would characterize as combat ready forces. Make no mistake, orders from the brass to sweep across and lock down US cities that were given on a Monday, would be ignored by Tuesday morning.

“How exactly did the Democratic Party come to settle on a candidate with no credible capacity to serve as president? Who is Joe Biden fronting for, and who do they think they’re fooling?”

    How?
Because he is the only intimate member of the Obama regime that can be trusted to quash the investigation, sweep it under a big west-wing rug, or pardon all the guilty members of a coup initiated by the first totem black presidency working in conjunction with the DNC, the entrenched unelected bureaucrats heading an alphabet soup of agencies, the various state spying/intelligence apparatuses, the defense department, and lastly, the infotainment sector, more commonly referred to as “the media”.

They don’t think they’re fooling anyone. They do KNOW they’re fooling the same useful idiot partisan voters that believe anything they see, hear, and read via the aforementioned arbiters of disinformation so long as it follows the scorched-earth plan of #neverTrump.

They are willing to hijack a movement against a black man’s murder, destroy monuments and municipal buildings, re-write history, and instill chaos during a pandemic to ensure an easily manipulated mail-in voting scheme.

In essence, they are willing to destroy any semblance of a country to preserve their criminal organization. For when the truth finally comes out, love or hate President Rump, the last of the sane amongst us are going to have a really difficult time reconciling the lawlessness and tyranny and breadth of a criminal racket fronting as a party of the people. A racket that initiated a soft-coup against a president-elect.

They are willing to hijack a movement against a black man’s murder”

There was no such “murder”. It was what the coroner’s courts in the English tradition call – very nicely – “death by misadventure”:

In the United Kingdom a death by misadventure, as recorded by coroners and on death certificates and associated documents, is one that is primarily attributed to an accident that occurred due to a risk that was taken voluntarily. In contrast, when a cause of death is listed as an accident rather than a misadventure, this implies no unreasonable willful risk.[1] Misadventure is a legally defined manner of death: a way by which an actual cause of death (trauma, exposure, etc.) was allowed to occur. For example, a death caused by an illicit drug overdose may be ruled a death by misadventure, as the user took the risk of drug usage voluntarily. Misadventure is a form of unnatural death, a category that also includes accident, suicide, and homicide.

Hmmm, don’t know, Jim. I have a hunch there will be no Bonaparte ruling in the US of A. There is one thing the Americans share with the Russians, and that is aborrence of Bonapartism, and military rule in general. (Remind yourself that Trotsky meekly accepted his exile to the Kazakh steppe by Stalin in 1925, in preferrence of toppling him in a “bonapartist coup”, even though the Red Army he created was still very much loyal to him). The near American future is a dense fog, but a day in Brumaire with a junta led by a Corsican likely will not emerge out of it to save the day. The Democrats will sweep in November, (as abhorrent as the idea is), and after some wrangling the Great Imposter will disappear into one of his estates, heavily guarded but without his Twitter account. And that will be that. The riots will abate in exchange of a wagon of promises by the Dems to remake the U.S. into a Nanny-State-In-Toto. Open borders, universal health care, forgiveness of student debt, defunding the military, and reparation will be on the wagon, maybe even surtax on the rich (albeit callibrated to cause only a shrug.) There will be intense infighting among the Dems, with the GOP completely sidelined (I predict one or two assassinations of some leading GOP figures, after which the Republicans will become the Clueless Party of the Rich on the style of Mitt Romney). The “moderate” Dems will try to re-fashion the more inane planks of the platform which will likely cause new mob urban entertainment. Obscure “Grey Eminences” from the Deep State will run the show with little success. Biden and his heiress-apparent will be largely irrelevant. No counter-revolution will take place, because the Trump base is incapable of organizing around a political program and the fringe militia illiterates appeal to no outsiders. Trump himself sits in the WH only as a witness to the fact the the right-of-centre politics in the US collapsed and have no substantive ideas beyond exciting the anti-social part of the electorate. If the Czech president Zeman estimated a one-seventh of the Czech electorate as brain-damaged, in the US it must a majority. So, in my reckoning, there will be no counter-revolution. The U.S. will simply collapse as just another “granfaloon” (as Kurt Vonnegut predicted).

      Response to ‘soloview’:
Interesting analysis and actually a good short read. But, you must be from a libtard state to imply that the militias are ‘illiterate.’ I suspect you have never talked to a militia member or read any of the state militia literature. Fact is, there are massive numbers of highly heterogeneous ( in terms of education, class, political affiliation, race, etc) militia members in the ‘red’ state regions and some even in shitholes like michigan, california and minnesota. It has been my experience (e.g. though my medical patients) that the illiterates in militias are those that boast about being associated with militias or speak publically, like the illiterates in the left/dem moron movements, e.g. blm, antifa, democrat politicos, etc). I would expect that 90% of militia members NEVER make public statements or announcements of any kind; only the illiterate and stupid would do that, so i am told by militia members who have MBAs, PhDs and MDs.

      • Kim July 31, 2020 at 9:22 pm #

This is the usual condescending leftist view of – well, let’s be frank – his fellow white Americans, over whom he imagines himself standing astride, like some huge-brained, woke Collossus. (Well, I suppose we all live in vanity.)

As it happens, however, the Trump base has expressed a well-articulated program rooted in nationalism and anti-globalism. And it has had quite a few successes in those areas.

That is why the international globalist left has been hysterically determined to get him out of office. Because the anti-globalist counter-revolution was in fact taking place.

You might want to know that the insurance companies and hospital corporate groups wrote major parts of the so called Obama care act. They love it, as it allows them to shift major costs off to the govmint. The only people it hurts are people with real insurance and small medical clinics, not affiliated with some large ‘medical’ conglomerate.

I was in the thick of the Obamacare fiasco as a researcher/activist.

I knew the jig was up when the first luncheon Obama had as President was with Liz Fowler, the head of AHIP (America’s Health Insurance Plans).

It all went downhill from there.

        • Kim July 31, 2020 at 9:24 pm #

          Of course the love it.

Government “health care” systems are nothing more than a scam for big corporate interests, as “health care” has very little to do with health and everything to do with underwriting the business models of Big Ag, Big Pharma, Big Chem and Big Medicine.

The process works like this: Big Ag and Big Chem produce cheap grains and put them in boxes with masses of sugar or corn syrup fructose and grain-based oils and sell the resultant swill at 500% markups. The sheep-people eat this “food” and as a result develop diabetes, heart disease, and cancer, become obese and prone to strokes and numerous inflammatory diseases and all kinds of aggravating conditions and diseases of the intestinal system.

Big Pharma and Big Med then take over to treat and manage these conditions (never, ever curing them), so that from an early age the sickness of citizens becomes a reliable profit center and the wealth of the human being trapped in this system is constantly drained off by these pitiless con men.

The cost of this is difficult for individuals and families to meet, so the government must be brought in to force us to pick up the ever-inflating tab.

Nothing about either “health” or “care” involved in this process at all.

Because, apparently, you have been as enstupidated by partisan politics as it is possible to be, you have missed the entire point of my post.

What is that point? That state-run medicine – your deliberately ill-named “nanny state” (a true nanny genuinely has our interests at heart. A better name or what we have is “the vampire state”.) – is set up to support the business models of the giant corporations who both cause and profit from the illnesses that the medical establishment pretends to treat.

As long as the state bears the costs of people’s bad choices, people will continue to make the bad choices that the corporations and Big Medecine both encourage and profit from.

The entire industry, medical, pharmaceutical, agricultural, political, know this. But none of them seriously want to change it. On the contrary, as the present Covid business shows, the medical vampires desperately want to expand it.

It has been known for 40 years – almost since it was first promulgated – that a high carb diet was bad for us, and that cholesterol lowering drugs cause severe health problems, yet every hospital waiting room to this day still has that big Food Pyramid poster and doctors still prescribe statins by the bucket-load.

The answer to illness is not to keep subsidizing it. But your mind is impenetrably partisan. It is all a silly and childish game of taking sides. There is no point talking to you.

I did not miss the point of your post – nor have I been missing either your modus operandi or your personality. The thing is, I didn’t even say most of what you said was wrong, did I? But you can’t help yourself. Same as your buddy – straight to insults. The stock-in-trade of the partisan bully.

You seem to have missed the point of mine. Not sure where the stupidification came from in your case, nor is it my problem. I merely pointed out that doctors attempting to force Tory governments to influence food producers have a hard time of it. It was the same with tobacco.

“As long as the state bears the costs of people’s bad choices, people will continue to make the bad choices that the corporations and Big Medecine (sic) both encourage and profit from.”

As long as the customers of the insurance companies bear the costs of people’s bad choices, people will people will continue to make the bad choices that the corporations and Big Medicine both encourage and profit from.

Except, of course, that it’s principally in the US that fortunes are to be made in Big Medicine, since the UK’s system isn’t run like that, for all its myriad other faults.

That’s why my husband, who works for the NHS, is against statins and cholesterol-bashing, and fell out years ago with his oldest friend in Dublin (private doctor, very comfortable), who thinks they’re great. We’re low carb in this house, BTW. Being in an emergency service, my other half prescribes statins to nobody.

Over-generalising, over-partisan ignoramus. This is your notion of discussion. Why am I not surprised?

BTW, if you want to see what it was like here before the NHS meant working people could get medical treatment, you might like to read AJ Cronin’s The Citadel.

So the Dems run the deep state, which controls most everything, and antifa, and former President Obama has the ability to mobilize tens of millions of protesters – and yet they are so feckless that they allowed Trump to be President and he and the Rep. Senate run roughshod over the Dems on a regular basis. So which is it – should we look for the Dems to appear in black helicopters or clown cars?

There have been an estimated 28 million protesters in the streets. If even a small but significant percentage were violent rioters, then American cities would be smouldering ruins, instead of the damage being confined to a few city blocks in some few cities.

And again, with his vast vocabulary, JHK’s use of ‘mau mau’ in conjunction with Barack Obama, should tell you all you need to know of JHK’s unacknowledged, but apparently deep-seated racism. If mau mau was used in its proper context, it would have been more properly applied to those who showed up heavily armed at state legislatures and specifically threatened government officials. Oh wait, they would all be white folks!

And JHK seems to continue with his ad hominem attacks with his language – Nadler is always the ‘homunculus’ Nadler and Adam Schiff is never mentioned except when be described as ‘pencil-necked’ or ‘bulging eyed’ , as if these irrelevant descriptors somehow add authority to the discourse.

Maybe I need to put on my aluminum foil hat for all these conspiracy theories, rhetorical devices and sophistry to seem like logical analysis.

        • draupnir July 31, 2020 at 1:17 pm #

And yet it’s such a perfect descriptor. Who really could resist? Speaking of racism, yesterday I saw a video of a young black woman who saw Irish dance as a child and was so enamored she studied it for years. I applaud her parents for supporting and encouraging her, and paying for her lessons. Now twenty, she put up a video on Youtube, which went viral. It’s quite charming, and it got her all kinds of accusations of cultural appropriation and an offer from River Dance. Good for her. Her parents are so proud.

As they immigrated here, other cultures brought their cultural treasures along with them as gifts to share with the rest of us. That’s what diversity is all about. I felt badly her that she was accused of cultural appropriation, whatever that is, for pursuing an interest that is, as an American, a legitimate part of her heritage.

White women have been accused of cultural appropriation for wearing braids – even though braids have been found in ancient tombs.

Blacks (or their tribal enablers) started this crap. And turnabout is fair play.

Sredni Vashtar declared, “Nothing of substance here at all. You don’t like that I noticed you had no answers. Thats it. Don’t feel bad. No on does.”

It is amazing to me how much you and akmofo extrapolate about my beliefs when this is the only venue through which we interact. Gematria should be used for confirmation not substance.

Why can’t you say, “No one that I know,” has the answers?

I may not have them yet, I only need to know someone that has correct answers. The bigger problem is people have stopped asking good [ correct ] questions, preferring to fuss over the wrong ones.

Everywhere there arises before our eyes the specter of a society where security, if it is attained at all, will be attained at the expense of liberty, where the security that is attained will be the security of fed beasts in a stable, and where all the high aspirations of man will have been crushed by an all-powerful state.

Anyway I’m more interested in the future than the past, although it must be studied as prologue. Your misattribution of parts of the OT is surely the motivation for your smorgasbord approach to understanding what is going on. It is our history.

When a nation rejects her history,
Sees mostly errors in the past,
And its people view their sires,
In the light of fools or liars,
‘Tis a sign of its decline,
      And its splendor cannot last,
Twigs that blight their hardy roots,
Yield no sap for lasting fruits.

America is now a troubled nation because the people have been taught for decades that they are to be subject to the federal government, little realizing that in this nation We The People are the higher power [ Romans 13:1-7 ], under Christ. They have been induced to again become subjects [ to men ], instead of exercising the responsibilities and rights of citizenship.

You said we should have gone back to Europe when the Indians told us to get lost. What else were they ever going to say? You said we should have gone somewhere else. There was no where else – no “land without a people for a people without a land”. No, they saw themselves as the Israelites with a divine mandate to take the Land from the natives. With all your learning in this area, one would think you would at least get this part right – but you cuck out at the crux of it and tell us to “go home”!

Same thing in Austrailia: the natives shouted something and threw spears. When the langauge was later studied, it was confirmed they were saying, “Get lost”. You would have sailed away. But our Godly and Godlike ancestors were better men than you and did not.

I’m glad you’re obsessing about this. Who knows? Maybe you’ll have a breakthrough. You’ve obviously never really thought about it before, just taking the Nice (etymology: fool) Guy attitude given to us by the media and adding it into your theology without a second though – as if it belongs there.

        • Kim July 31, 2020 at 9:49 pm #

The entire idea of “you should have gone home” is something that people would dream of saying only to whites. But what if another race had colonized/invaded Australia?

When Cook arrived on the east coast of Australia in 1770 there had already been landings around Australia for centuries, especially in northern Australia, which had been from time immemorial a part of the trepang-fishing trade that ran up to China.

With passing time, as the Industrial Revolution spread from Europe, the Chinese or perhaps the Japanese would ultimately have settled the more hospitable parts of Australia (the south east) even if the Europeans had insisted on the continent being preserved as a permanent, undisturbed natural wilderness (kind of like the Andaman Islands and its peoples today).

And then what would we have? Australia as a modern Chinese or Japanese farm and quarry? Didn’t we recently fight a war over something like that?

In the real world, the choice of to invade or not invade does not really exist.

          • feralandroid August 2, 2020 at 6:34 pm #

I lived in Hawaii for awhile. Some of the natives are still sore about the US occupation. But what they don’t understand is if it wasn’t us, it would have been the Japanese or the Russians at the time.

Hawaii couldn’t have remained independent in this globalized environment.

          What is . . . .?

          • Sredni Vashtar July 31, 2020 at 8:43 pm #

The very same number one issue facing all humanity: Survival of the Fittest.

Owing to the chronic black criminal victimization of whites and the culture of black dependency, whites cannot live safely or in prosperity with blacks.

Fitness for whites thus means having a healthy racial consciousness. Those whites who do not have such a consciousness will not survive.

Those ex-presidents speaking at John Lewis’s funeral sure have a lot of innocent blood on their hands. On second thought, maybe, we, as a nation do, because we voted them into office.

Trump has some issues and I disagree with him on many things, but, I have $2000 extra bucks in my pocket thanks to his tax cut, which is more than any Democrat ever did. He’s also, with much pressure being applied from the MIIC, kept us out of ground wars in Iran, Syria and Venezuela, which he deserves credit for.

It’s all a show anyway. Nancy tears up Trump’s State of the Union text and then pushes for reauthorization of the Patriot Act which gives the President expanded surveillance authority.

Republican Party = Democratic Party = War Party = Wall Street Party

Beaten by a Black infected by Covid 19, he never really recovered. Why was a young man infected with Covid 19 put in a nursing home. Indeed, why would anyone infected with Covid 19 be placed in with the most vulnerable? Why was this done all over the world?

It was done to infect the elderly and kill them. There is no other possible explanation.

Trump needs to use that video in a campaign ad.

Speaking of beatings, earlier today, in Windermere, Fla outside Orlando, esteemed Peaceful Community Member steals a car, crashes into a gated community, tries to steal another car, then proceeds to beat two elderly people to death with a baseball bat, and attacks a third person with the bat.

This all happened today so far, and there’s plenty of time left for more atrocities before the day is out.

“. . .as the old economy of cheeseburgers and happy motoring disintegrates”

Yes, and a permanent exodus from several cities to suburb landscapes seems to be happening. NYC to the Hamptons and Florida, for example. I read that it is occurring in Chicago, Minneapolis and others.

More hollowing-out of city centers where delivery of essential services is far more economical than in suburban tracts to places set up for real decline, if not failure.

We are so un-teathered. No leadership on the stage. Uncertainty, anxiety and hardship pressing down on so many of us while so many of those with disposable sums are buying up RVs, fifth-wheel trailers and country properties that feel defensible.

If everything goes well, we are so (*&ked

People have to understand that they will not be voting for Biden, not even for the VP who will take his place once the 25th is declared.

They will in fact be voting for the globalist and tech-industry puppeteers who are pulling the strings on AOC, Rashida, Ilhan Omar – in fact almost all of Congress and the Senate – and their anti-American and anti-white agenda.

I wonder what their next moves will be in their agenda against US sovereignty and personal independence? Just more of the same?

      – Signing onto more UN agenda items on CO2, immigration and “freedom of movement”.

      – Housing blacks and “refugees” in white suburbs.

      – Gun grabs – say, aren’t we due for a mass shooting? (Including clever anti-gun moves like shutting down lead mining in the USA)

      – Emptying the prisons. Making it harder to convict or imprison dangerous criminals.

      – Making it easier for criminals to obtain and sell opiates and other drugs.

      – Closing down more US industries and shipping them to China.

      – Removing resisters in the government – FBI. DOJ, State, AGs, or local sherrif or poice offices.

      – Continuing the sexualization of children, education, and public life.

      – Closing down of free speech on the internet.

      – Ever lower educational standards and standards of professional testing.

      – The continuing anti-white racialization of selection criteria for higher education study and employment.

      And so on.

Jumping in on the hydroxychloroquine/chloroquine issue. The virologist group at the Pasteur Institute in France (that discovered the structure of HIV) found and reported last week that at least SOME COVID19 strains have, in addition to SARS, MERS, and HIV DNA sequences, a MALARIA DNA sequence. That accounts for the fact that some studies show efficacy for the chloroquine group and its’ cogeners and some DO NOT!!! Science takes time and doesn’t work well at ‘warp speed.’ Sorry.

      • JohnAZ July 31, 2020 at 3:43 pm #

I think we could put what we know as fact about the virus in a small thimble. Yet we are making world altering decisions based on the baloney that is being presented as fact. Read my post a little later about kids. I do not think any of the science bozos know what they are talking about.

People need to protect themselves from the spread of the crud from others. Not much has worked so far. Remember Gohmert who said he caught it from his mask??

For me, I will do whatever I can to distance myself from the expirations of others, but newly found problems with Old HVAC and sewage treatment may be just as serious. Interesting that all the high cost impact variables get buried very quickly.

Only a moron could catch COVID or any other virus from a medical mask if it was a REAL mask (i.e NIOSH certified n95 or n100; not a fucking scarf); unless the moron touched the outside of the mask s/p exposure and then picked its nose, or touched its eyes or mouth with the finger that touched the ‘mask’. No sane person would do that. Then, again, I consider all politicos to be insane and/or psychopathic. So they might do anything.
In reality, one might expect politicos, who have stolen massive money, via their positions, to purchase a real mask. They cost about $10 these days on Amazon and can be used for a couple of weeks if taken care of.

Newsflash: the flu can kill people.

            That is not the psyop.

The psyop is that it is being treated like the plague, hysteria is being whipped up, the healthy are being quarantined, the figures are being inflated, the rules for social distancing are being selectively politically applied, contradictory advice is being offered, agitprop scenes and lies are being staged, useful treatments are forbidden from being prescribed and best practise and positive experiences are being ignored.

            covid over-reaction = psyop

          • GreenAlba August 1, 2020 at 12:25 pm #

There is an amount of over-reaction, politically motivated or not (strange that the most socialist country most people can think of in the western world is the one doing the least over-reacting – that doesn’t fit the narrative), and there is politically motivated under-reacting too.

Forty-two-year-old pilots are not generally in the demographic that almost dies of flu and spends over two months in intensive care because of it. Nor does flu kill hundreds of the doctors and nurses taking care of their patients.

‘The healthy’ have only been quarantined because it’s impossible to say who’s infectious before their symptoms appear. People are particularly infectious from two days before they are symptomatic until a few days afterwards.

Good people wear goggles. Don’t tell me you don’t even have goggles. Are you going to be one of the last people to “goggle up” like you were the last time with masks?

Oh, you weren’t one of the last! Tell us more peas.

          • GreenAlba August 1, 2020 at 2:42 pm #

I’m not a greengrocer, so I’ll leave the peas story to someone else.

We have goggles in the house which I bought for my husband because the crap he was given at work was an insult and looked as if it came out of a cornflake packet. They wouldn’t even stay on. Then, after he’d worn the ones I bought for a week or two they were given visors, but it took another two months before I saw a news item saying that the original crap ones he was given had been condemned as not fit for purpose, despite being kept for years in the UK’s main PPE repository (privately managed by a company owned by a US ‘healthcare’ conglomerate)..

The pair he used are gathering dust, while the other two of the three I bought are still in their bags. Perhaps they’ll do my grandson one day if he has to do lab work.

And yes, I was a relative latecomer to masks, and still probably haven’t hit an entire hour in total of wear in shops. When you shop in small shops, it can be three minutes in and out. Less satisfying to drama queens of your sort, I imagine.

But you really didn’t have any point there at all, did you, other than making a desperate, childish swipe at shadows.

Thank you, neurodoc (also for the more detailed information below). I have been trying for some time now to promote the notion of patience in observing the developing science before making wild and confident – and, above all, generalised – pronouncements, based on partial evidence, social media tropes and political allegiances.

Certain people find this notion difficult. Especially when their rampant narcissism gets in the way and they need to ‘win‘ NOW before an audience, using moronic insults and calls to ‘laugh out loud, kidz’ in the face of serious issues they don’t remotely understand.

Do not believe any scientists re, the virus.

Just read a report that said two studies were done in different parts of the world and came to the same conclusion. Not only are young children very likely to get Covid, but they are very efficient spreaders of the disease and maybe the primary spreaders, more than older kids or adults.

I read this after reading our political doctors and scientists telling us that kids do not spread the disease, they do not even get it. Those MDs tell us it is okay to start up schools because kids do not get the virus or spread it.

William Hazeltine of Forbes magazine published today.

My question is, what happens when schools open and the crud spreads like wildfire? Then what?

These Lying bastards are going to kill us all.

    • neurodoc July 31, 2020 at 4:12 pm #

The reality is that there are many different strains of the COVID19 viral type. Some studies from Hong Kong suggest as many at 20+. Clearly there are at least 3-4 DIFFERENT strains in the US.

      Resultant Problems (IMHO):
      1) Each lab studies the strain they get from volunteers in their local or regional area. Strains in various areas differ from each other in terms of the amino acid sequences and therefore protein spikes on the infected cells; this results in different COVID diseases with different symptoms, duration of illness, predispositions for infection, and different results for antibodies ( in terms of efficacy and longevity) that may react to one strain but not another, among other differences. Hence all the bizarrely different results from different labs.

      2) The presence of different strains may be the reason for all the false negatives reported for the DIFFERENT COVID tests (average of 48% false neg rate across the duration of exposure to illness to remission) and the differences in length of antibody presence following vaccine injection (experimental) and infection.
Hence: COVID is not a single viral disease; its is likely many many different diseases caused by different COVID strains; thus the CONFUSION. In other words; nobody at this point has the full picture of COVID19 and its multiple varied disease state products. NOBODY!!! Its like the elephant in a room of blind men. We know about pieces of the puzzle but not the whole thing. WARP SPEED is dangerous. Live viral infections are dangerous. Jumping in water before you know what’s there and its depth is dangerous.

I am signing off for now. You did not hear this; you did not read this. I did not write these things. I have no official medical opinion on anything related to COVID.

      • JohnAZ July 31, 2020 at 7:31 pm #

        Just a comment on yours.

If true, each geographic area may have their own special variety of virus. If so, nationalism is going to get a boost from the virus. I have often heard the reason the common cold has never had a vaccine is that their are too many rhinoviruses out there and they are continuously changing. If your multiple strain theory is right, the vaccine is a pipe dream. The yearly corona shot may be a shot in the dark, so to speak, as the flu shot is now. It may need to be different at each locale too.

Aside from the political theatre, the human factor is quite amazing.
Some people are misbehaving, but the the majority have remained stoic and strong. To hear talk about guns and killing your fellow human beings is disturbing. To take a life is a mortal sin.
Even in self defense or in a war, the wound is not just in the victim.

I usually go on a road trip to the United States every summer. Not much to see here in Canada after the Canadian Rockies. I enjoy travelling in the USA. Despite what many elitist Canadians think, I have been treated well and enjoy conversing with my American friends. Americans aren’t passive like Canadians. You fight for things that we give up without a fight.

No trip this summer, and I am disappointed. I was hoping to travel in July of 2021 to the USA, but that likely won’t happen either.

Canuckster would that be because of Covid-19, or the political turmoil in some of our cities? Or a little bit of both?

        Hi BRH.

This year, it is because of Covid. I had planned on taking the family to 7 national parks: Mesa Verde, Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, and Arches. Was really looking forward to it as the natural beauty of those regions is stunning…..from pictures. I hope things are Ok so we can go next year.

Last year we went to Glacier NP in Montana, Yellowstone, and the Grand Tetons. Had a wonderful time.

2 years ago we went to Minneapolis then drove up to Duluth and drove the north Shore of Lake Superior. It was great too. While in Minneapolis, we rode the Light Rail train to a Twins game, so seeing what is going on in Minneapolis is quite shocking.

3 Years ago we were in the Black Hills of South Dakota, and again had a fabulous time. I really dislike large cities and try to avoid them as much as possible.

But I have my doubts that things will be back to normal next year. I hope so. I like to spend my money in small towns and support small American businesses when we travel.

If the results of the mail-in election can’t be determined by January 20, guess who becomes President? Nancy Pelosi. Then Congress gets to pick the commander in chief.

    • JohnAZ July 31, 2020 at 8:00 pm #

If the election is not held or held to be invalid, all the congressional seats are in limbo also. Will there be a Speaker of the House?

I would say, someone should be in there trying to stabilize the voting methodology now. There is no Constitutional method of handling potential voter fraud.

The House of Representatives, I believe, elects the President, if there is a tie in the Electoral College.

“Geologists believe that two powerful volcanic eruptions, the largest in the last 2,000 years, are to blame for the cold snaps.”
      ==

JAZ, what geologists don’t know is that these volcanic eruptions were caused by Mars (the messenger/angel Gabriel) as it came into close proximity with Earth. The electrostatic interaction between the two bodies caused the volcanic eruptions and the weather pattern disruptions.

A similar situation occurred around 1500 BC when Venus (the messenger/angel Michael) came into close contact with Earth and caused the Greek Island Santorini to explode leading to the biblical plagues on Egypt including total darkness for days. The ensuing collapse of Egypt’s Middle Kingdom facilitated the Exodus of Hebrew slaves out of Egypt and corresponds with the collapse of the proto-Greek Minoan civilization at the same time.

Look at the history of Greeley, Colorado. Formed as a Utopian exercise by Horace Greeley in 1800s. Set up to be an almost communistic State. It failed miserably. When Christ was resurrected, his followers tried to form a similar Utopian State in Jerusalem as the first Christians. It also failed miserably.

Why, in both cases? They did not account for ways to handle the effects of evil. It is omnipresent and must be dealt with.

These liberals in the NW are just the latest folks to try to make mankind better than he is. Evil is drawn to areas like this. It will fail like all the others.

      Liberal = Gullible.

We had Utopian Communities in 19th century New England … Onienda, Brook Farm, New Harmony … none of them lasted too long. The Pilgrims established a community of believers in Plymouth in 1620, read William Bradford’s account if it, it wasn’t smooth sailing, believe me. Trying to establish a cop free utopia in a modern American city too me seems like madness.

Update on the Austin shooting last weekend:

Army sergeant working as ride-hailing driver shot protester Garrett Foster in self-defense, his lawyer says

“Perry, 33, was in the city driving for Uber on July 25 to earn extra money and had dropped off a fare near Congress Avenue the night of the protest, according to Broden’s statement. Broden said Perry has been working for Uber for about a year. He was in town from Fort Hood, where he currently is on base, Broden said.

He drove toward a ‘hot spot’ to wait for another fare or food order. He turned right onto Congress near Fourth Street, Broden said.

Once on Congress, he encountered the protest, and several people began hitting his vehicle. The statement says Perry did not know a protest was happening that night.

Perry at first thought Foster was a law enforcement official when he approached the vehicle and motioned with an assault-style rifle for Perry to lower his window, the statement says. Perry realized after rolling down his window that Foster was not a member of law enforcement.

The statement says Foster began to raise his rifle at Perry….”

    https://www.statesman.com/news/20200731/army-sergeant-working-as-ride-hailing-driver-shot-protester-garrett-foster-in-self-defense-his-lawyer-says

And again, Perry called the police moments after the shooting and reported it. Has been very cooperative from the beginning. Hardly the way an “evil racist” or a “murderer” acts.

Thucydides was the worlds first political scientist; the most profound and convincing historian of empire, not only in his own age but also in his explicit and implicit predictions of later ages; 427 BC—and, equally, of politics in America, AD 2020

So revolutions broke out in city after city, and in places where the revolutions occurred late the knowledge of what had happened previously in other places caused still new extravagances of revolutionary zeal, expressed by an elaboration in the methods of seizing power and by unheard-of atrocities in revenge. To fit in with the change of events, words, too, had to change their usual meanings.

What used to be described as a thoughtless act of aggression was now regarded as the courage one would expect to find in a party member; to think of the future and wait was merely another way of saying one was a coward; any idea of moderation was just an attempt to disguise one’s unmanly character; ability to understand a question from all sides meant that one was totally unfitted for action. Fanatical enthusiasm was the mark of a real man, and to plot against an enemy behind his back was perfectly legitimate self-defense. Anyone who held violent opinions could always be trusted, and anyone who objected to them became a suspect.

To plot successfully was a sign of intelligence, but it was still cleverer to see that a plot was hatching. If one attempted to provide against having to do either, one was disrupting the unity of the party and acting out of fear of the opposition. In short, it was equally praiseworthy to get one’s blow in first against someone who was going to do wrong, and to denounce someone who had no intention of doing any wrong at all. Family relations were a weaker tie than party membership, since party members were more ready to go to any extreme for any reason whatever.

These parties were not formed to enjoy the benefits of the established laws, but to acquire power by overthrowing the existing regime; and the members of these parties felt confidence in each other not because of any fellowship in a religious communion, but because they were partners in crime. If an opponent made a reasonable speech, the party in power, so far from giving it a generous reception, took every precaution to see that it had no practical effect.

Revenge was more important than self-preservation. And if pacts of mutual security were made, they were entered into by the two parties only in order to meet some temporary difficulty, and remained in force only so long as there was no other weapon available. When the chance came, the one who first seized it boldly, catching his enemy off his guard, enjoyed a revenge that was all the sweeter from having been taken, not openly, but because of a breach of faith. It was safer that way, it was considered, and at the same time a victory won by treachery gave one a title for superior intelligence. And indeed most people are more ready to call villainy cleverness than simple-mindedness honesty. They are proud of the first quality and ashamed of the second.

Love of power, operating through greed and through personal ambition, was the cause of all these evils. To this must be added the violent fanaticism which came into play once the struggle had broken out. Leaders of parties in the cities had programs which appeared admirable—on one side political equality for the masses, on the other the safe and sound government of the aristocracy—but in professing to serve the public interest they were seeking to win the prizes for themselves. In their struggles for ascendancy nothing was barred; terrible indeed were the actions to which they committed themselves, and in taking revenge they went farther still. Here they were deterred neither by the claims of justice nor by the interests of the state; their one standard was the pleasure of their own party at that particular moment, and so, either by means of condemning their enemies on an illegal vote or by violently usurping power over them, they were always ready to satisfy the hatreds of the hour. Thus neither side had any use for conscientious motives; more interest was shown in those who could produce attractive arguments to justify some disgraceful action. As for the citizens who held moderate views, they were destroyed by both the extreme parties, either for not taking part in the struggle or in envy at the possibility that they might survive.

As the result of these revolutions, there was a general deterioration of character throughout the Greek world. The simple way of looking at things, which is so much the mark of a noble nature, was regarded as a ridiculous quality and soon ceased to exist. Society had become divided into two ideologically hostile camps, and each side viewed the other with suspicion. As for ending this state of affairs, no guarantee could be given that would be trusted, no oath sworn that people would fear to break; everyone had come to the conclusion that it was hopeless to expect a permanent settlement and so, instead of being able to feel confident in others, they devoted their energies to providing against being injured themselves. As a rule those who were least remarkable for intelligence showed the greater powers of survival. Such people recognized their own deficiencies and the superior intelligence of their opponents; fearing that they might lose a debate or find themselves out-maneuvered in intrigue by their quick-witted enemies, they boldly launched straight into action; while their opponents, overconfident in the belief that they would see what was happening in advance, and not thinking it necessary to seize by force what they could secure by policy, were the more easily destroyed because they were off their guard.

Certainly it was in Corcyra that there occurred the first examples of the breakdown of law and order. There was the revenge taken in their hour of triumph by those who had in the past been arrogantly oppressed instead of wisely governed; there were the wicked resolutions taken by those who, particularly under the pressure of misfortune, wished to escape from their usual poverty and coveted the property of their neighbors; there were the savage and pitiless actions into which men were carried not so much for the sake of gain as because they were swept away into an internecine struggle by their ungovernable passions. Then, with the ordinary conventions of civilized life thrown into confusion, human nature, always ready to offend even where laws exist, showed itself proudly in its true colors, as something incapable of controlling passion, insubordinate to the idea of justice, the enemy to anything superior to itself; for, if it had not been for the pernicious power of envy, men would not so have exalted vengeance above innocence and profit above justice. Indeed, it is true that in these acts of revenge on others men take it upon themselves to begin the process of repealing those general laws of humanity which are there to give a hope of salvation to all who are in distress, instead of leaving those laws in existence, remembering that there may come a time when they, too, will be in danger and will need their protection.

    — Thucydides, History of the Peloponnesian War,(Penguin, 1972; pp. 242–245)

SV: All this has happened before. All this will happen again. Whenever the Under-men gain control and drive out the Noble, this is the politics you can expect. Communism is just such a revolt of the lowest kind of men against their betters.

Could it be that the USA grew too big, to the point where diversity caused by the vastness overcame , or is overcoming the cohesion of the nation. Can the Pacific coast, coexist with the South, or the West coexist with the NE? Are we going to Balkanize? Are we going to do it peaceably?

      • beantownbill. July 31, 2020 at 11:13 pm #

But the world has gotten smaller with modern transportation and advanced electronics, and we didn’t have the same problem 100 years ago when the world was more vast. I think the issue is complexity. We have become so advanced technologically that all social and cultural systems are collapsing under their own weight. We needed to understand that this would happen and prepare for it, but we were too arrogant, and didn’t.

      • Kim August 1, 2020 at 7:31 am #

The issue is quite simply that we have passed peak cheap oil.

It is strange that this site was – essentially, I should say – established around the idea that we had reached the age of peak cheap oil and would now face unremitting social decline and the end of modernity, but people comment here as if unaware of that as the blog’s main underlying theme.

Jim wrote a series of books around that theme.

The cheap oil has gone. The money loses its value faster and faster. Things of real long term value become more valuable but that fact is obscured as, in situations of uncertainty and increasing chaos, our thinking becomes dominated by panic and short-term thinking and all of the modern techno-distractions.

This makes it hard to identify long-term – traditional – values that might best serve us in the future.

Instead we allow enraged mobs of the ignorant to throw ropes over our traditions – and our feelings for them – and pull them down off their plinths.

          @Kim

          >Instead…

So, what might be a substantively “better” alternative? It ain’t like Earth is going to leave these relics intact, and projecting in time from the peak oil plateau, Earth rules.

The Peak Oil Theory and the Olduvai Theory – BINGO!

Besides, aren’t industrial traditions mostly an abomination, established mostly by the rich to the ultimate benefit of the rich?

One good thing about War (or the threat of War) is that you don’t have to arrest and shoot as many of your own people as during peacetime to keep them under control? Plus, War gives the people something to do, and you can spend as much money as you want on ridiculous stuff.

“ And unlike Roosevelt, he didn’t have to lead his party in wartime elections, because Britain’s flexible constitution allowed elections to be suspended for the duration. As for Stalin, he governed by diktat. He didn’t have to kiss babies, woo their parents, or cajole their representatives. He didn’t shoot his subjects as often as he had during the 1930s, in part because the Germans were shooting so many that he couldn’t afford to waste the remainder.”

We are entering a particularly critical stage now thru October. The economic consequences of the continued lockdown of business and the loss of UI benefits to float employees will have immediate negative impact on consumer consumption in August. The PPP loans to business had a requirement to keep employees working until Oct.1st. After that time, these employees can be laid off.

    https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/gdp

I found that site to be interesting, and helpful. Not sure how real these numbers are, however. I’m very skeptical that any one organization can calculate just how much economic activity is actually happening with much precision. Maybe they can, I don’t know. Regardless, this organization is predicting a further -33% GDP reduction in the next several phases of this quarter alone.

This is why the next few months are so critical. If you factor in decreased consumer spending along with decreased overall employment, it appears that a full blown economic depression is inevitable.

    • PeteAtomic August 1, 2020 at 9:31 am #

I misread the data. The final GDP reduction ought to be a final of -33% thru the end of September of this year.

      https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/gdp-growth

Their forecast in that same chart for Q3 is odd, at + 15% (?) I don’t believe that. I think they must be relying on historic data to project that.

Always carry you scalpel with you, doc. It may save your life or enable you to save the life of a comrade. Have a little surgery kit in your car. A few rusty blades! The Chinese barefoot physicians performed miracles in the countryside of China, and with far less training than you. Take out an appendix? No problemo.

“your Democratic Party circa the awful year 2020, spreading its poisons into every organ of society like a fungal overgrowth”

Interesting, Jim, that you continually rant about the Democratic Party (not that some of your rant isn’t worthy) yet continue to basically give the Republican Party a pass. Very, veeeery interesting.

Otherwise, a very good concise look at how totally screwed we are.

As for the rest of you bandwagoners- how’s all that hate working for you?

Because he used to be one and feels betrayed at their betrayal of America. Millions of people feel the same. That automatically makes him a Republican? Uh, no. If you think it does, well you need to check your rigid self.

It’s not his fault that America is stuck on stupid with the two party system. Nothing about that in the Constitution btw. I hope you know that. It was a later development – a very bad one. The good guys/bad guys motif elicits the most automatic and unthinking parts of the mind and heart. As your post indicates.

Does social upheaval augur “Social Progress” or totalitarian excesses?

“ The communist regimes in Eastern Europe were now tottering, and the fact that the French Revolution had inspired the Soviets was a reason to ask whether France’s upheaval had foreshadowed totalitarian excesses more than social progress.”

The push for goggles begin. They’re rolling it out just like they did masks. Just tentative and questioning now. The people get spooked and start wearing them. Then they start openly suggesting it. Then people start virtue signalling by wearing them all the time and look askance at those who do not. Then it becomes mandatory and then illegal not too.

    https://edition.cnn.com/2020/07/31/health/covid-19-through-eyes-wellness-trnd/index.html

But of course there is a difference: there is no “eye juice” that can shoot out and infect others. Or is there!?!?

You going to give in on this one too, John Az? Tusc? Get scared? You might DIE after all!

If this becomes mandatory, I’m giving up on humanity and I’m going to wear ski goggles all the time so no one can see me.

All Trump needs to win is to grab Fauci by lapels and throw him out of the studio on live TV. Gently lead Dr Birx out by her scarf, banished to the darkness from which she came. Fauci and Birx can comfort each other there amidst the reeds and ruins…..

It starts slow – that’s how they seduce people. Boil the frog slowly. Just like with masks. Do you even remember a time when people didn’t wear masks?

        • GreenAlba August 1, 2020 at 4:30 pm #

I remember a time when there wasn’t a virus around that could put a 42-year-old pilot in intensive care for 65 days and take away 90% of his lung capacity. And I look forward to a time when that won’t happen for a good many years and we won’t be wearing masks.

Remember that your brain can be boiled in conspiracy theories slowly too. And you won’t notice when it’s entirely porridge.

“Some White People May Have to Die for Black Communities to Be Made Whole” – Far Left Teaching Assistant Claim in Regard Black Lives Matter Movement

Some people definitely have an ulterior motive behind their support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

While it is true that many, and perhaps most people that support the movement are doing so out of genuine desire to show their support for the black community and to try and put a stop to police brutality against them, there are some who have other plans.

Irami Osei-Frampong, a University of Georgia graduate student and teaching assistant recently stated that he believes white people may have to die before black communities will be made whole.

    WSBTV reported:

A University of Georgia graduate student is getting criticism for comments he wrote on Facebook.

The man at the center of the controversy is Irami Osei-Frampong — a philosophy graduate student employed by the university as a teacher’s assistant.

He speaks frequently about race and equality, but some critics believe he crossed the line when he made a post online that stated, “Some white people may have to die for black communities to be made whole.”

Another social media post said: “Fighting white people is a skill.”

The teaching assistant told Channel 2’s Tony Thomas he’s confused by the backlash.

“I’m confused why that is so controversial,” Osei-Frampong said.

Osei-Frampong appeared on Cox Media Group radio station WGAU Tuesday morning, insisting he’s not calling for violence, but believes it should remain an option.

He’s confused as to why it’s so controversial? This guy graduated from college? It’s because he’s talking about fighting and killing white people.

One post he made on Facebook read:

“Some White people may have to die for Black communities to be made whole in this struggle to advance to freedom. To pretend that’s not the case is ahistorical and dangerously naive.”

In another post on Twitter, he said:

“Fighting White people is a skill. Really, it’s one reason I’m in support of integrated schools. You have to get used to fighting White people. It takes practice.

‘Blacks kill Blacks because they have never been trained to kill Whites.’ – Dr. Bobby Wright”

SV: I really like that last one from the Doc. Blacks need to kill. So they just need to be trained to kill Whites instead of Blacks. Makes sense if you accept the first premise. He’s puzzled why this is controversial. I’m puzzled too why it is too – if you accept his premises it all makes sense. And if you disagree with his premises, fine (I’m with you!), but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t still hold these noxious premises, right? Whites “supporting” Blacks who want to kill them really doesn’t make much sense, does it? From our perspective or theirs. Of course they like it…..

Maj and Alba will “find themselves” shopping for goggles in the weeks to come. It’s all a matter of social cues and pressure – things which women are exquisitely attuned to. They will don them at the exactly the right moment according to their internal calibrations. Probably Maj first, being more outre than Alba. Alba likes to be right under the dome of the Bell Curve Cathedral.

After this, the sky’s the limit. Why not lip discs like that grotesque African tribe forces on its women? Or neck rings? Have an incredibly long neck that can’t even hold up the head anymore is so so sexy – even more so than tatoos. Or foot binding a la the Chinese?

We’ve had enough of obese tattoed White women with pink or blue hair. We now demand more interesting modifications, ones that demand real dedication and sacrifice.

You can kill with your eyes. Putin and Obama stared at each other until Obama dropped his eyes. Maybe it was the mockery in Putin’s eyes that finally did it. It started with mutual death stares but Putin started laughing at him. The Devil can’t take mockery. Putin knows that his People are glorious. And Obama knows that his People (does he actually have a People?) are not.

      • Sredni Vashtar August 1, 2020 at 3:13 pm #

Most people need to be told what to do. That’s their glory. You are easily lead by the Telly. If it told you the Truth, then you would be glorious too. But you fight well for the Lie in any case, I give you that.

Cats and Lillies toil not, nor do they spin, but nonetheless they give glory to God by their very being. Have you ever fallen to your knees by the very sight of a cat sleeping in its basket? No? I pity you….

Now what about this bloke growing a penis on his arm? Is it real? I don’t say this is glorious but I understand the need if his penis fell off.

And there is no lead by my telly. No lead anywhere in my house since the plumbing was updated before my time.

You are rather too eager to presume you know what I watch or read, like another on here. There are actual AMERICANS on this site who cite the BBC many times more than I do (which is extremely rarely) – same with the Graun, which, when it was Manchester based, used to be a decent rag.

Do you have any idea how many channels there are available even to Brits? And most of them unwatchable?

I have a lovely photo of my sleeping cat on the back of my sofa, but it is not possible to ‘send it’ and you forgot to say the magic word anyway.

Your reference to Jimmy and the honourable member went over my head.

          @ Sredni
“Have you ever fallen to your knees by the very sight of a cat sleeping in its basket? ”

One of the goats gave birth to a kid yesterday. The kid was so cute trying to keep its legs under itself as it learnt to suckle. I was there to give kitchen scraps to the goat and around about there were chickens (local and foreign), ducks, and my favorite black and white mousing cat ( a real hunting champ).

The whole straw-strewn scene was so damned beautiful, it went straight to the atavistic depths of my heart.

It strongly reminded me of a common type of “Golden Book” scene – you may remember them from your childhood. They would often depict this kind of barnyard scene, all of the animals living together peacefully, each with his place and role. (Is this why we found Orwell’s story so powerful?)

There are no cows at the moment – as there often are in Golden Books – and never any horses, but the scene, as I say, was very special.

          • Sredni Vashtar August 1, 2020 at 11:44 pm #

That’s one of the reasons I love Hitler’s daughter, Savitri Devi – she was a cat lady on steroids.

The scene you describe is of another age, before the ruin of the world.

I saw a nice video about a Russian who adopted a homeless bear. Through love and respect, he civilized until it no longer even seemed to desire meat. As an omnivore, they have this capacity.

Again last week, Republicans were in their usual position of playing defense, with Barr becoming Wimpy and eating this from the Democrats, instead of hamburgers. He looked bad on the Manafort release in particular. But it was an outright hatchet job, with the inquisitors hatefully hacking away at a mostly muzzled victim.

After years of assertions by Sean Hannity and others that the big sledge was about to fall upon the Democratic coup perpetraitors, it turned out to be just so much wind, with not an indictment in sight. And at the hearing, someone intimated that Barr would be interfering in an upcoming election if he dared go down that path! It’s finished, unless Trump wins. And nobody on the Right is shouting out, “No justice, no peace”, and backing it up.

Maybe it was Trump’s idea of offense to toss out the possibility of postponing the November election. Part of his shtick is controversy as offense. It’s getting old. Then make it seem like you’re leading by talking about the great job you’re doing on the virus and how much the economy will boom next year. Any takers? His wearing the mask now and then is really more of a defensive move at this point, as the dead geezers (and some others) are again being stacked in freezers.

The countdown begins. Under ninety-nine days now ’till the election. Ninety-nine bottles of what on the wall? How about hope and fear, instead of beer. Say, forty-five of hope, forty-four of fear. One bottle of hope left at the end. Will it fall? Yes, if Michelle runs. The cost of Republican disarray and division will be steep, very steep.

Will Michelle want the VP spot? Put a knee to Trump’s neck with the cunning Kenyan looking on with great delight? The American people may be easily seduced into thinking that this is the way to end the divide, and allow peace to walk the streets again, concerned more about now than the future.

Joe needs a jolt, no doubt about it. Michelle, backlit by the Kenyan, is high voltage. She’d put more life into this malodorous mummy than anyone else. But then again, Michelle could all too often make Biden look like a meadow mouse.
Susan Rice has an inside track as a former Obama appointee, but much less spark. With her or Harris, etc., Trump’s chances are that much better.

So there it is, JOMO runnin’ with the MOJO. With all the TWATS out there, they’d be tough to beat. And Michelle Obama could be president sooner than you think.

    Total shot: 592

    Total homicides: 105

About 96% of casualties are POC.

Finally the town made Tyson get rid of those Tigers. And just recently a brave patriot struck again, creating modern art.

Another BLM sign is being painted in front of the Queens courthouse. Those defacing the original sign defacement are being arrested, unlike the initial perps. The nerve, the disingenuousness of calling these signs ‘murals’.

And alas, here in Tucson, taxpayers pay:

    https://kvoa.com/uncategorized/2020/07/25/n4t-investigators-taxpayer-money-funded-downtown-tucson-blm-street-mural/

Ugly signs for an often ugly race. Marring neighborhoods and maiming law and order. They must be expunged.

    • Sredni Vashtar August 1, 2020 at 6:52 pm #

Tulsa is taking its down. They never got authorization and a conservative group then demanded a pro-police mural. They realized you can’t show favoritism like that without starting a mural race.

Saw a great youtube last night. On Long Island, BLM met some of the fiercest and largest contingent of counter demonstrators. The organizer’s poster showed Minneapolis in flames and a lone Black with his fist in the air. An iconic shot but obviously it freaked out conservative Long Island, especially store owners. The moron said she didn’t mean anything like that to happen. So why did she choose that shot?

Pending case? More fuel for Black outrage coming?

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8578477/Arkansas-police-release-bodycam-footage-fatal-supermarket-arrest-cops-cleared.html

Black guy fights like a maniac for ten or fifteen minutes. High as a kite. Gets wrestled down and tased a few times. Gentle knee on back towards end. He then begin to die and does die after a few minutes. Is the combination of drugs and exertion too much, especially combined with tasing? Are Blacks, sprinters by nature, especially vulnerable in this regard? Is the face down position contributing? Would put on their backs help?

Why the big deal? His record is as long as his arm I imagine. So he gets arrested and jailed for a night for shoplifting. Goes to trial at some point. Gets a bit of time. Or was he on probation? Then it might mean something much more I suppose.

Are we being shown all the footage? If not, why not? Cops sometimes turn their cameras off…..

It’s really gruesome. It does appear like the combo of meth and extreme exertion fighting with the police did him in. But what is very troubling is that in these sensitive and dicey times why did they release this footage now? This happened on February 4th. Isn’t it risky from a public safety standpoint given what we have seen over the past two months? I really don’t get it.

      • Sredni Vashtar August 1, 2020 at 11:47 pm #

I can only assume they’re trying to head off a court case where officers are destroyed. Or maybe someone else has partial footage and it was released and they know the shit storm is about to break in any case.

    Hi Mr. Kunstler,
I can understand your irritation with Mr. Nadler for not extending courtesies to Mr. Barr, but the reality is that Congress has oversight powers over the Executive Branch, even if you think they exercise them poorly (and in this case, rudely); one can look at the Benghazi-Gate hearings to find something irritating to Democrats back in the day.

However, you completely ignore what Mr. Barr claimed. First—in making a spirited defence supporting the President he repeated a number of half- truths or outright falsehoods, https://www.statesman.com/news/20200731/fact-checking-william-barrrsquos-house-judiciary-hearing, and Democratic Party members had reason to be exasperated with him, even as you rightly point out that he had reason to be annoyed with those who disagreed with him for their rude behaviour and at times obtuse questioning and grandstanding. You like Donald Trump. Mr. Barr is doing the bidding of the Executive. And if the Executive lies and dissembles, then what choice does he have if he owes his allegiance to the Executive but to do the same?

Second, you make the claim that: ”Mr. Barr is quite correct when he avers that an election by mail-in ballots is an invitation to fraud.” How interesting.

“Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon, a Pennsylvania Democrat, asked Barr whether he had any evidence to support his claims that foreign countries could produce counterfeit ballots to interfere in the election.
“No I don’t, but I have common sense,” Barr responded.” https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/28/politics/william-barr-house-hearing/index.html.

So, “common sense” is your metric? And Barr’s? https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/29/politics/barr-voter-fraud-fact-check-foreign-countries/index.html, https://week.com/2020/07/30/ap-fact-check-trumps-view-of-flawed-election-is-baseless/, suggests otherwise and I notice a complete lack of evidence for this “common sense” outcome. If it was rife for abuse, wouldn’t we have seen this already in a large scale sustained manner? We haven’t. A clear MAJORITY of states have either all mail elections or no-excuse absentee voting—many of which supported Donald Trump in 2016. So, what evidence to do you have to support your (and Barr’s and the President’s claim)? Potential worries—OK! But actual cases in the large number of votes cast? Your hyperbole here is breath-taking, and the lack of evidence you offer, equally so.

“I’ll tell you how it goes: Donald Trump will stand aside and yield to the military, to some general or committee of generals, and the country will be under martial law until the election is sorted out or re-run.”

Your prediction may turn out the way you say it does—then again, many others you have made have not come to fruition as yet, so who can say. What I will assert is that our President LOVES chaos. You see a Law and Order President; I see someone under whose watch things have become more chaotic and incompetent (sorry—looking at other countries responses to COVID does make us look incompetent!). But this is what the President likes. For him, chaos is not a pit, it is a ladder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRS8a8HjqFs. He is behind in the polls. He needs to make people believe that they need him and what he has to offer. Joe Biden’s strategy is perfectly sensible—why campaign when your opponent is doing everything in his power to help undermine himself and elect you? The answer is—let your opponent’s embrace of chaos bring him down. Hopefully, he won’t bring the country down with him…

    • JohnAZ August 1, 2020 at 8:55 pm #

You obviously do not get what happened in 2016.

America wanted a contrarian as president, not a go along with the Deep State Namby Pamby like has been there for fifty years. They elected someone who said he was going to kick butt in DC and tear down the corruption there. They have been disappointed by Trump’s inability to do much.

Followers of the Deep State versus Deep State Haters are what 2020 is all about. If enough of the hopeful folks in 2016 hit the election booth, Trump will win. If disillusionment prevails, Biden will win.

I will guarantee you one thing, if Biden wins, those Deep State opponents are going to rue the day they did not vote. The Progressive takeover will pick up where it left off in 2016, and the USA will never be the same.

The number one question folks need to ask themselves right now is,

All those promises the Progressives are saying, all the give away programs, all the promises they are working out with BLM and the rest of the protestors, where exactly are you going to get the capital to accomplish the magic trick. You are a sucker if you think they are going to tax the money out of the Elite. If the Elite senses that is going to happen, they will leave, oops, no money.

Why did Tom Hanks get Greek citizenship? Maybe one step ahead.

Repeating Mr Kunstler’s mantra is not an argument… And as I have been arguing over the last several blog posts, that is a contestable claim.

      • abcdef August 2, 2020 at 12:46 am #

        Hi JohnAZ,
“America wanted a contrarian as president,” Well somewhat less than a majority of Americans who voted wanted a contrarian! So, I reject that claim. He won the Electoral College, and that made him President. So, I think you and I have different views of what happened in 2016. As for your other claims, I look at the giveaways that the Republican Party offered to the elites back in 2017, and I wonder, what you thought about that and the benefits the President derived from these giveaways? Economic growth? https://www.taxpolicycenter.org/taxvox/new-congressional-study-finds-little-economic-benefit-2017-tax-cuts. Check it out. So, if you want to complain about Biden, throw some angst the President’s way… first.

“Joe Biden’s strategy is perfectly sensible”

Does Joe Biden even know what day it is, or how to put his pants on in the morning?

I do. I guess many people on your side of the fence feel the President is brilliant. I found this article very interesting–warning–it is written from a “liberal” perspective.

And whether Biden knows what day it is, there will be plenty of people who would rather vote for him than for the President, because–“Anyone but Trump.”

How bad can it be if Violent J and Shaggy 2 dope — the Insane Clown Posse — are still touring the country, staging outrageous shows, encouraging their loyal Juggalos to go out and commit acts of mayhem? Sure it’s all fun and games as seen on the TV show Pranks … Pranks? Chasing somebody thru the park at night with a chainsaw is a prank? The creepiest pranks happen in half empty, poorly lit parking garages, Juggalos suddenly appearing, brandishing long knives. ICP coming to Hartford just a few days before Halloween, and a week before the election. Juggalos will be in the streets, sowing chaos and fear; you will see them lurking, walking thru neighborhoods in their bizarre clown costumes, scaring little kids, menacing entire neighborhoods.

And it turns out the Beats had an intellectual foundation in the novels of William Burroughs and Jack Kerouac.

But with Juggalos, who wear a medallion in the shape of a clown brandishing a hatchet, how do you lampoon people who would like to kill you?

“ The young royal couple turned out to be woefully ignorant about how to accomplish their most important duty, the production of an heir. It took seven frustrating years before Marie-Antoinette’s brother, the Austrian emperor Joseph II, discovered that Louis “stays there for perhaps two minutes without moving, withdraws without ever discharging, and bids good night,” and explained to the “two incompetents” what they needed to do in order to consummate their marriage. By that time, Louis’s inability to get his wife pregnant had become the talk of Versailles and Paris, sorely undermining his reputation.”

I suppose you have seen the video where Biden declares that they are for “truth over facts”.

It is the epitome of feminine thinking in the way it puts “feelz above realz”.

And you are right that commonly encountered emotional solipsists like Majella are the building blocks of this madness. They don’t like it, so it can’t be true.

We will go through hell, be living in ramshackle Bidenvilles and the corpses will be piled before sense is ever restored.

      • Majella August 2, 2020 at 10:31 pm #

“Emotional solipsist’? That’s a new twist. Did you do your Ph.D. on the basis of this somewhat novel term (I can only find one reference to it but it better describes you, honey).

        https://www.thestranger.com/seattle/emotional-solipsism/Content?oid=14013

        • Kim August 3, 2020 at 12:26 am #

          @ Majella

“emotional solipsist” is not meant to be read as a noun phrase. Re-read it as adjective + noun. You will then only need to look up the term “solipsist”.

Solipsism; from Latin solus, meaning ‘alone’, and ipse, meaning ‘self’) is the philosophical idea that only one’s mind is sure to exist.

As an epistemological position, solipsism holds that knowledge of anything outside one’s own mind is unsure; the external world and other minds cannot be known and might not exist outside the mind..

Thus, while I might present Majella or Green Alba with what I claim to be objective facts, the ladies in question will reflect that these objectve facts are not to be relied up on as they do not find their origin in said ladies’ own processes of introspection.

It is the mode of thinking – so-called – of the types of self-absorbed fruit loops that occupy the Marxist academy, classroom, and the readership of leftist opinion pages.

For them, a fact is not a fact unless they feel it is a fact.

For a glimpse of this kind of mentality I refer you to the Atlantic article – unembarrased, offended by the very notion of facts – as linked above by Sredni.

          • Majella August 3, 2020 at 2:24 am #

There you go, still assuming I’m female. You’re reading comprehension is not as flash as your ability to google.

I know perfectly well what solipsism is, so take your condescending Latin lesson and shove it. You’re really such a pedant, it’s tiresome. That and being lost in the CT/QAnon mire removes the last vestige of credibility to which you cling so frantically. Poor wee scone.

    Children’s Health Defense.Org/ Lockdown Lunacy

I thought that survey was bad enough, but a different survey by Kekst CNC asking different questions revealed a simply astonishing figure: Americans over-estimated the TOTAL number of compatriots who have died from COVID-19 by 200-fold! When asked the question (in mid-July), “How many people in your country have died from the Coronavirus?”, Americans responded “9%,” which would be roughly 30,000,000 people, versus the actual number of 151,000. No wonder people are panicked (and wildly, wildly misinformed.)

SV: Great article. Maybe I’ll post it next week. Some of the best and clearest information I’ve seen.

See the problem? Nine percent. Nine percent of WHAT? You need two numbers to make any percentage meaningful. So the boobs think nine percent of the complete population. Perhaps the question led them in his direction. But they are certainly easily led – and once led and induced to proclaim their new “knowledge”, they attain the status of useful idiots.

Early on this thread – about 25 posts in – I remaked on how the devolution of this site was almost complete, because at that time, there had been only two posts that were not from the ‘Right/Trump/Tinfoilery’ brigade.

To my surprise, having had my remark deleted, I can still (for now anyway) comment – not that I wish to any longer. However, I will take this last opportunity to clarify what was among the several final straws.

A couple of weeks ago, I was ‘banned’ and commentary access was disallowed. I asked JHK why this was. His response was:

    Mike—
Your rants about the Vatican were embarrassingly overwrought… and your responses to others were unecessarily (sic) mean and harsh.”

I pointed out the mistaken identity

I feel you’ve confused me with someone else – akmofo, perhaps.

I don’t have a conspiracy bone in my Catholic body. While I may criticize another’s perspective, I also don’t do ‘ad hominems’ – certainly of ‘mean & harsh’ were a problem, how’s benr survived so long?”

and was allowed back in, but with this remark:

    Mike—
Frankly, I don’t remember exactly what it was that pissed me off… but i(sic) believe it was a (sic) simple as really bad manners arguing with other commentators.”

This I found quite laughable, given that “arguing with other commentators (sic)” SHOULD be the principal reason for Comments Section’s existence, shouldn’t it?

It is also objectively hypocritical, given the level of “mean & harsh” generated by others and the “bad manners” of at least 25% of the commenters hereabouts – e.g. Kim and her “You’re a dishonest person” which is ALWAYS a great way to open a dialogue, I’m sure she’s finding.

So, after the entirely arbitrary banning, I realised just how pointless and time-wasting this whole shit-show is.

The few commenters who are actually worth the time and make valuable, thoughtful and logical remarks, such as GreenAlba, Volodya, capt spaulding and a few rare others, are infrequent commenters lately.

When they DO comment, they are usually immediately derided by the ‘lynch-mob’ of CT nutjobs, QAnon adherents & Trump-arsesucking wanker narcissists: Nightowl, Skornezy, Kim, akmofo, brh et al – you all know who they are: their tropes are as predicatable as the sunrise.

The NYT Editorial today was concerned with, and highly favorable toward, Voting by Mail. One particular paragraph read as follows:

“The real reason to make mail voting widely accessible isn’t to help one party or another – it’s to help the American people participate in their own democracy as fully as possible. That’s why voters of both parties like it so much, which may be the best evidence of all that it has no built-in partisan bias.”

I am a subscriber to the Times seven days a week for the past 30 years so I didn’t just fall off the turnip truck. I think I am on safe ground when I describe the Times as relentlessly left-leaning and in particular, anti-Trump. Although, I admit that I have two liberal friends who will no longer read the Times as they find it too right-wing. That’ll give you some idea how far left these two friends lean.

So, as an observer of the Times’s lefty mindset (they are capable of giving an article on ANY subject an anti-right spin) I chuckled, chortled and guffawed on reading the above quoted paragraph.

Cliche blog vernacular sprang from my lips:

    “OMG!!!

    Ohh Pull leeze !

You. Have. Got. To. Be. Sh*tin’. Me!!!”

No, people, the purpose of the Editorial was to advance the prospects of whoever winds up as the candidate seeking to beat Trump.

    • Majella August 2, 2020 at 10:35 pm #

Q.Shtik – It’s really good to see you are happy to call these ‘left-leaning’ folk, your friends. There’s hope yet.

There are two distinct viewpoints here. One wants the US to maintain its current way of conducting business internationally and domestically. That side wants less government and more individual responsibility. The other half want a populace subservient to a central authority because the people in government are smarter than the people.

One way or the other, the fourth turning is upon us.

Just think, if Trump wins, more of the same, everything will be aimed at stopping him. If Biden wins, we earn a government that has not a clue, no ideas that have a hope of doing anything. Just a bunch of hacks with not a clue.

One thing that is important to realize, no matter who wins, The country loses. Neither side have a clue what to do about BLM and the Antifa. The country is on the verge of splitting in half and neither side has a clue how to avoid it.

The next president may have the privilege of turning over half the city-states to someone else, plus observing the takeover by the virus and the collapse of the economy.

In the meantime, sitting in the blog listening to Liberals, without a clue, resorting to only name calling to vent their spleens. Why? No one in the Left of center crowd have a clue what to do about The Long Emergency.

Unfortunately, neither does the GOP. Our problems have to solved by all the yours trulys of the country. The Deep State is going down faster and faster.

Interesting, Communism or Capitalism are both going down in flames. Why? The elitist Deep State. We have been played as suckers for a long time by the Elitists in Washington.

Arguing on this blog and getting angry at each other is just feeding the beast. The sign of the times and the label for this Fourth Turning will be,

    Divide and Conquer.

Look out, akamofo! Your. Ativan bullshit is spewing through your clenched teeth again, despite your extraordinary efforts to suppress it.

          ‘Your Vatican…’

        • Kim August 3, 2020 at 3:46 am #

          @ Majella

Look out, akamofo! Your. Ativan bullshit…

Why do you have Ativan on your mind?

          What is Ativan?
Ativan (lorazepam) belongs to a group of drugs called benzodiazepines. It is thought that lorazepam works by enhancing the activity of certain neurotransmitters in the brain.

Ativan is used to treat anxiety disorders and seizure disorders.

If you feel the internet is contributing to your day to day anxiety – and it certainly could be – best to take a break. Seriously.

          • Majella August 3, 2020 at 3:57 am #

What a dick. Now an autocorrect is indicative of ‘anxiety’? You stretch your nutjob arguments to the extreme often enough, but THIS one (you chose not to see the correction, which is, as you would characterize it, dishonest.

            Really, get a fucking clue.

          • Majella August 3, 2020 at 3:59 am #

But great googling skills, wee Kimmy!

I know you try but you have become the butt of many jokes.
My advice is for you to take wee lil break and stop nipping at the whiskey jug so early.
Take a week or two off from comments and come back with a fresh perspective.

          • Majella August 4, 2020 at 5:14 am #

            Ah, just fuck off, benr.

    • Kim August 3, 2020 at 12:45 am #

No one in the Left of center crowd have a clue what to do about The Long Emergency.

There is no society-wide way to protect ourselves from the end of cheap fossil fuels. So all of the rational (self-preserving) decisions that we make from this point on must be personal, family, and band or tribe based. I say that because the central issues will be about literal survival.

Discussions about society-wide or nation-wide things like “renewable” energy or reinventing the steam locomotive network already represent failures of the imagination of the chattering classes.

Of course, as you say, divide and conquer is what it has been about and will continue to be about. There has never been a ruling class for which it has not been the most important weapon. At the same time, that doesn’t mean that a Kumbaya society is possible. The enemies and divisive elements that the rulers have imported and inflammed against us in Europe and in the USA, are not figments of our imaginations. They are real, self-declared enemies.

    • Majella August 3, 2020 at 2:49 am #

      JohnAZ
Though I generally don’t agree with your POV, you do make valid points with rational argument. How can you stand this place? Anything half-way reasonable elicits ‘sympathetic’ bullshit from Skorenzy or condescending corrections by Kim or laughable rants from Akmofo.

      • Majella August 3, 2020 at 2:50 am #

(That should have followed the post below)

    Covid observation

All the states, whether upward or downward are settling out at steady state rates which are relatively consistent. I believe we are mitigating somewhat effectively now. What is causing the steady state rates of 9000 in Texas or 3000 per day in Arizona? This virus has an infection source that has been missed or ignored. I do not see any of the “scientists” with a clue. Fauci’s latest debacle showed how political it is.

    • akmofo August 3, 2020 at 12:17 am #

To talk about COVID without talking about nutritional health is criminal. And that’s what these “doctors” are, they are murderous criminals.

      • Kim August 3, 2020 at 12:47 am #

You never hear them telling people to get some sun/Vitamin D3. But it is basic health advice directly related to immunity, flus and tubercular conditions.

        • Majella August 3, 2020 at 2:43 am #

*yawn* yeah… HCQ & vitamin D. You’re a gift to science! What a waste that you choose to share your impressive knowledge on a blog read by a bunch of like-minded crazies rather than informing the CDC!

          • Kim August 3, 2020 at 3:23 am #

Still no response on Bill gates and the innoculation tattoo?

          • benr August 3, 2020 at 9:16 am #

You missed part of that specific cocktail.

Zinc and zithromax zpack p[lus heavy doses of vitamin C.

All you have to do is get some pixie sticks, and a couple of Marvel comic books. Then, while pouring the pixie dust on the infected person, and saying the dialogue between Batman and the Joker out loud, while tapping your foot in time, and holding your mouth a certain way….BAM! the person is cured of Covid 19.

      • Majella August 3, 2020 at 3:40 am #

Yeah! Vattican Commie Stooges! Every last one of them!

  113. SoftStarLight August 3, 2020 at 2:55 am #

Isn’t it weird for someone to scream and shout that they are leaving when ultimately that appears to be the last thing they actually want to do. There is a whole lot of narcissism happening from one who is accusing others of being narcissists. A truly sad emotional and psychological collapse to witness. But one that has been occurring often lately nevertheless. Is this more proof society is at the edge of the abyss?

    • Majella August 3, 2020 at 3:06 am #

Like I said above, Fruitloop – until JHK cuts me off. In the meantime. It’s no more ‘nice guy’

      • Majella August 3, 2020 at 3:22 am #

        You have evolved though, Fruitloop.

When you first arrived, you were an “agreement ‘bot”, concurring with the last thing you’d read, but you’d get confused and often contradict yourself by the end of your post. GA will know what I mean…her patience with you was/is astounding- not that you appreciate it. Probably unaware of it, truth be told.

Now, under the slightly sordid tutelage of the execrable Skorenzy, you’re a full-blown racist and have developed an ability to express your warped ideas very effectively! Congratulations!

As to my ‘emotional breakdown’ – get a life. I’ve had it with you & your ilk (names above) and as I’m expecting to be banned any second, I’m just clearing the decks as to what I think of you & the other CT/QAnon/racist fuckwits while I can. No doubt, this and other posts will be ‘disappeared’ in a few hours, but I hope you get to see this (and the others) first.

Have a life, SSL, if you can GET one.

        • Majella August 3, 2020 at 3:25 am #

Oh, and look up ‘narcissism’. You’ll find many who fit the description hereabouts, but I’m not one of them. (Neither are you.)

        • Kim August 3, 2020 at 3:38 am #

          @ Majella

This is a pretty spectacular breakdown you are having.

You know, a number of years ago Zerohedge reported on censors who worked at Twitter (I think it was) who had to have special days off because – horror of horrors – they were finding their opinions changing, coming to agree with those they were supposed to censor.

Too much exposure to facts might do that.

For example, you mention racism. Have you ever considered recognizing the truthfulness of so many of the unpleasant facts that you must have seen quoted about blacks? I mean regarding crime, academic and family dysfunction, STD rates, black-on-white criminal victimization, and so on. Such data is all available through the FBI, Department fo Justice, various public health bodies.

I am being serious here. It goes back to the concept I mentioned earlier, “solipsism”. Solipsists can have difficulties in accepting evidence that does not accord with their inner feelings, which they regard as the best basis for deciding what should be true.

Not to pile on, but look at how you have failed to respond and recognize the truth of my observation about Bill Gates and tattoo-vaccination. You scoffed. So I showed you reputable sources for that news, but you have been determined to ignore it. I suppose that you are even denying it to yourself.

It might be emotionally healthier, when others are proven right, and you are proven wrong, to just accept that state of affairs and move on.

          • Majella August 3, 2020 at 4:03 am #

I’m having a ball, at last. Your faux concern is laughable. I did respond above – just use Ctrl F to find it. Then go fuck your sanctimonious self. Please.

          • Majella August 3, 2020 at 4:07 am #

As to your view on race & blacks, I would be surprised if you have any more direct experience with that community as I have had. You’re clearly an academic, and your views are academic.

        • benr August 3, 2020 at 9:20 am #

          @MAJ

No one cares if you “like” them or not this is not high school and its not a popularity contest.
          Grow up.

I will say I don’t like the piling on here and will bow out I don’t like kicking anyone while they are down.

          • Majella August 4, 2020 at 4:56 am #

Advice from benr – ‘grow up’. There’s really nothing I can say to that.

Here it is again. Notice the detail of the imagery in the name. And then notice how his visage lacks the same detail. They could have made it look like him exactly more or less right? They are IMO taking away his individual attributes so that it is not an image of a human being but something else. And they are creating that mystical element for religious purposes maybe. Maybe they are creating dieties for their new pantheon and he is going to be one? The whole event appeared to be a ritualistic, religious ceremony.

Yeah, 34 people shot, 9 dead (including 9 year old boy playing in front of his building) just this past weekend.

It’s really a huge tragedy, this ongoing butchers bill in Chicago; it could be stopped or at least ameliorated a little, Mayor Guliani showed how it is done 20 years ago in NYC. But it seems there are people in power happy to see the bloodshed and mayhem continue, even in the face of the innocent little ones being murdered.

    Brh

    • benr August 3, 2020 at 9:44 am #

Could it be they see the blood being shed as a sacrifice to mother Gaia?
Anything that expels CO2 and methane is to be sacrificed for the good of the planet.

      • GreenAlba August 3, 2020 at 10:54 am #

The planet is just a lump of rock, benr. It doesn’t have a ‘good’ – or indeed any feelings about what we do on it. Only those creatures to whom it is currently a home have a ‘good’. Which we ignore at our peril.

Not least because (a) there are too many of us, living too closely together, (b) we are destroying biodiversity at a rate of knots, and (c) – related to both (a) and (b) – our appetite for munching domestic animals (that includes me, as a meat eater) means increasing proximity between humans, domestic animals and wild animals, which is driving pandemics which may yet kill a whole lot more of us than this one will.

But using ‘the planet’ as a proxy for those who rely on it for sustenance makes an excellent straw man for the disingenuous.

  118. Bobby Brown August 3, 2020 at 5:49 pm #

With the possible exception of Chavez and Venezuela, you’d be hard pressed to find a better example of someone driving an entire country into the dirt. And Trump is going around trying to scare people what Biden would be like as president. Too bad Chavez is dead. He could probably run on his record against Trump and win.

    • benr August 3, 2020 at 8:36 pm #

Another statement devoid of logic and based 100% on your opinion.
You have also forgotten a key ingredient covid19 shutdowns.
You appear to need more corner time with the stool and the dunce cap on so get back to it.

  119. Bobby Brown August 3, 2020 at 6:46 pm #

Nancy Shively, an Oklahoma teacher, voted for Trump in 2016. Now, amid a heated debate on reopening schools and watching his response to the pandemic, she says she fears for her life.

Teacher: Voting for Trump may have signed my death warrant.

    • benr August 3, 2020 at 8:38 pm #

Or Nancy Shively is simply a liar and a never trumper like your own pathetic self.
We have already seen the depths Democrats are willing to plumb in lame efforts to attack and discredit Trump.
Come up for air already you are going to lose one of the two brain cells you have left.

        ‘Mean AND harsh’!

        • benr August 4, 2020 at 5:55 am #

          Is it old man?
          The truth is the truth.
Leave the mean and the harsh judgement out of it and look at what this whit less fool goes on and on about.
I know you don’t care because you have nothing but hatred in your heart for this country and its founding fathers as well as anyone who supports the Constitution and most of all Trump.
So your opinion is all but worthless.
