Of course, the “Joe Biden” classified document scandal is less about the documents per se than it is about the Biden family business, which was accepting llarge sums of money from shady foreign interests for unspecified services rendered. “Joe Biden,” the brand, is owned, perhaps to the degree that he can be called “a sell-out.” Selling out your country is kind of serious.
For instance, our country is right now deeply involved in a war between a Biden family client, Ukraine, and its angry relative, Russia. The USA has pumped more than $100-billion into Ukraine just this past year. That’s quite a return-on-investment for the million or so Hunter Biden grifted out of the Burisma gas company. It is alleged that Ukraine has operated as a gigantic international money laundry, especially since our State Department and Intel Community overthrew Ukraine’s government in 2014 and put in a series of errand boys.
Ukraine did not have to become a geopolitical hot-spot. We made it a problem on-purpose. The strategy, if you can call it that, was stated explicitly by SecDef Lloyd Austin: “to weaken Russia.” That was based on the NeoCon game theory that the USA had to maintain at least the appearance of dominance over as much of the world as possible — a.k.a. hegemony — at the very moment in history that America’s economy, culture, and institutions had entered a state of collapse, visible to everyone in the world. By the way, our efforts in Ukraine against Russia have only strengthened Russia — its currency, its balance of trade, its own internal political security, and its military defenses.
The Ukraine fiasco has surely benefited America’s military contractors and the parasitical ecosystem that feeds off it. Ukraine has benefited not so much. To be blunt and concise, Ukraine will come out of this a much-diminished entity, with no ability to cause any more problems in that region of the world. The money laundry will be closing down. As that happens, recriminations will pour out of Ukraine, implicating many American officials in the laundry operations, including former Ambassador Marie “Masha” Yovanovitch and her circle. Wait for that.
So, the tussle over the docs is a smokescreen for those artful machinations. The appointment by praetorian Attorney General Merrick Garland of a special counsel, Robert K. Hur, to investigate the doc affair is the insurance policy. Mr. Hur’s job is to prevent any witness from testifying on these matters before a congressional committee on the grounds of protecting “an ongoing investigation.” You can bet that whichever committee takes on this hairball, it will find workarounds to overcome that gambit and start unraveling the grift behind the docs. It will get ugly.
The evidence for all that is neatly packaged in the notorious laptop computer that Biden family bag-man Hunter Biden dropped off in a Wilmington, DE repair shop and then “forgot about,” so the story goes. I wonder about that. My armchair psychiatrist’s take is that Hunter harbors a not-so-well suppressed wish to destroy the Big Guy, his father, who has sinned grievously against his son and made a monster of him. (A monster of depravity.) The classified docs that the Big Guy stashed in his various properties are quite secondary to the gigantic trove of deal memos with purchasers of influence (and photos of them with the Biden gang) stashed on that radioactive hard-drive.
I’ll never understand — and neither will you — how “Joe Biden” got propelled out of ignominious defeat in the earliest presidential primaries, to sweep the field on Super Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Around the same time, all his rivals magically dropped out of the race for the nomination. Some kind of message must have gone out from Deep State Central. Who wanted this licentious old grifter in White House? Well, probably his old boss, Barack Obama, and just about everyone in officialdom connected to the shenanigans in Ukraine dating back to 2014, and then the RussiaGate illegalities that ensued from it, especially former CIA boss John Brennan and his cronies. Under Mr. Obama, the whole US government had become something like a rotten log infested with sowbugs of grift, deceit, and malfeasance. Installing the dotty old bird in the White House would give Mr. Obama a stealth third term. Mostly, it would prevent the dreaded Golden Golem of populism, Donald Trump, from bringing any harm to that cabal and its, ahem, interests.
We do understand how “Joe Biden” won the 2020 election: via massive fraud engineered by fraud-master Marc Elias, king of the Lawfare trolls, who fine-tuned the mail-in ballot operation during the likewise engineered Covid-19 public health ruse. That wicked election business, of course, is just another grave matter requiring the utmost protection to prevent any inquiry from ever gaining traction. And yet all of it, the monumental government crime spree of recent years is all unraveling before our eyes — even before Jim Jordan or anyone else has even said boo from a House committee chair.
It’s all falling apart — along with America’s economy, our institutions, and our culture. The Biden family’s cover stories are collapsing, the government’s censorship and propaganda machine has thrown a rod, the Covid-19 story looks day-by-day like organized mass murder, election fraud issues still stalk the land despite every effort to squash them — and the grim reality coalesces that Russia is going to clean up the mess we made in Ukraine, and, in the aftermath, probably produce a shit-ton of evidence of American corruption and villainy there.
“Joe Biden,” the phantom president, has entered the air-lock, waiting to be jettisoned into the deep space of ignominy, chocolate mint chip ice cream cone in hand. Kamala Harris watches the action offstage in a fugue of anxiety and depression. She does not want to become president — and, guess what, nobody really wants her to be, either. She won’t even have to be induced to step aside. Her hysteria will be so great that not even the hypnotists of the Intel Community will be able to calm her down. She’ll run shrieking from it back to California. The levers of control finally fail. By a caprice of history, and the genius of the founding fathers, Kevin McCarthy lands in the White House. A page turns. The coup is finally over. That’s my fantasy du jour.

Trump’s support for him is interesting. He probably thinks that he can use McCarthy as a cat’s paw to get himself back in the WH. You know, 64D chess! Of course, being Trump, if Mac does get into the Oval Office, he will completely outplay Trump and keep all the power for himself and his DS cronies.
…and prove once again what a lousy politician he is by getting pwned by the speaker of the house.
Yeah, I can’t fathom why orange man would be twisting arms to get WEF McCarthy into the speakership. It’s sad that he’s in a position to twist anybody’s anything. He needs to go away but his ego won’t permit it.
And Trump is sharing a rally with those well-known defenders of small government and individual freedom, Lindsey Graham and Psycho McMasters.
It’s hard to see how McCarthy will ever be president. Yes, the ones who control Biden are probably ready to jettison him. But Kamala would probably serve the masters just fine. She might even win reelection, depending on what the economy looks like next year. The Republicans seem intent on tearing themselves apart and I don’t think Trump can put them back together again this time. But does any of it really matter at this point?
Normally, I would reply (to your comment about Kumala, yes kum) that you are one tick removed from permanent residence in Pennsylvania, but then I realize you could actually be right about Vat69 Harris being elected. After all, John Fettermountain was elected Senator to represent PA. In this topsy screwy America we are living in any prepostrous event can take place.

The Dems will win in 2024 whoever is the choice because of voter fraud. The GOP is making no effort whatsoever to correct this and doesn’t seem to care.
I don’t see why Kamala couldn’t be trained to read from a teleprompter and groomed into some semblance of gravitas. Heck, it’s just an acting job, after all. I would think that almost anyone could be trained to do it.
Yet, clearly, no one has been working on her to fill the presidential role–or we would be seeing some results by now.
Yes, the perfect Company Man, an Un-Man, waiting to be acted upon, the perfect tool.

If we are playing fantasy games today, I will share my own. No, McCarthy, no, that won’t work. Let Kamala assume the role when Joe craps out, is thrown out or drowns in his Sitz bath and then the DNC appoints her replacement at VP. I think that Michelle gets the nod, but we cannot count out Hilliary. This sets the stage for Kamala to be committed or drown in a hot tub, and then the remaining witch gets the nod, or perhaps even Barry himself.
No one can claim that this is not possible, because in a land where anything goes, nothing really matters, and no one really cares, ANYTHING is possible.
And I don’t think that the Biden Crime Family will ever be prosecuted or made to pay for their crimes against humanity, because in a land where fraud and theft are considered viable business models, Joe and the demented spawn of Jill’s tainted loins are national heroes. Ask Sam Bankman Freid, he knows.
Hunter is not the spawn of Jill’s tainted loins, he was the son of Neila Biden, whose better part ran down her leg.

Actually, Walter, I think Barry could become President without violating the 22nd Amendment since he wouldn’t be taking office by election. His term would also be less than two years, in case anyone wanted to argue the spirit and intention of the 22nd made it work both backwards and forwards in time.

Ford was an appointed political hack who was a nobody who covered up JFK’s assassination on the Warren Commission. (one of them anyway).
Biden, as JK so aptly points out, is worse. Far worse, because of his corruption.

And if Diane is still drooling and doesn’t even know her own staff but refuses to not run, if her name is on that ballot, California voters are so out of touch that Feinstein would win.

Thanks for having the fortitude to call out Obama the Wedding Party Bomber for his pivotal role in the management of the OBiden hologram.
Kamala would not exist as a political figure had not Obama rescued her from obscurity when she couldn’t mobilize a single supporter in her bid for the Presidential nomination. She owes him her life. At his command she will be on Air Force Two bound for California within hours.
The only roadblock in McCarthy’s path to the Oval Office is if President Harris should appoint Barack Obama as Vice President as a final act of her first and last day as President.
Is Obama’s ego bigger than even Trump’s?
In case nobody has noticed, The Winter Offensive that our Ministry of Information has been telling us about for months doesn’t seem to be happening. Is that because the Russian Dept. of War is waiting for the USA to send a few token samples of the latest weapons so they can capture them and upgrade their software defenses against the coming last gasp NATO attacks against the Russian heartland?
Russia doesn’t seem to be in any hurry to bring the Ukrainian war to an end. Why should they when they are winning against successive proxy armies by sitting back behind chosen defensive lines and pulverizing whatever the Ukrainian’s and NATO send out onto the fields of slaughter? Within the first few months of the Special Military Operation the Ukrainian Army that NATO/USA had been training and arming ever since the CIA Maiden Coup in 2004 was essentially decimated. Complete loss of its air force resulting reliance upon US satellite surveillance for communication and targeting. Loss of the majority of its trained and loyal military personnel.
Any rational national leadership would have recognized the inevitable defeat and negotiated whatever national salvation could be obtained from the circumstances. But the USA made it clear to Ukrainian President Zelenskyy that that wasn’t an option. They sent disposed British Prime Minister Johnson to Z with a simple message He would be assassinated by the Wolves within his armed forces or if he tried to flee to his Miami mansion the CIA would do the job.
So the War entered its Second Phase. The USA poured 100 billion +++ dollars into the Ukrainian Black Hole to keep the laundromat for the US Deep State and its paid politicians (AKA Congress Whores) in operation. Whatever was left over went to hire mercenaries from Poland and all over the world to fight in place of the decimated national Ukrainian Army. Nato scoured the world to strip its members and any other willing country of all its old Soviet era armaments and send them to Ukraine via Poland.
So why should Russia be in a hurry to end the Proxy War? It recognized by the actions of the USA and EU over the past decades that the real threat to it’s existence is/was NATO/USA.
Treaties with the USA have little more value than toilet paper. The only course to Russian national survival comes through building a defensive system so superior and so effective that no enemy dare attack it. Once that defensive system was in place and a last ditch MAD offensive system developed they could turn their attention to de-fanging NATO and rebuilding the circle of de-militarized borderland countries that had traditionally served as a barrier to ever being invaded again at the cost of 20 million Russian lives as had happened in WWII.
So Russia sees itself in the third phase of the Special Military Operation.The goal is to eliminate NATO as a military threat to its existence. (It’s former enemy, Germany, now has an National army of only a few battalions and most of their arms have been shipped to Ukraine so Russia could blow them up.)
Mission Accomplished!
Germany. Leave NATO, close all the US air bases, rebuild the pipelines that Britain and the USA blew up, and you too can return to prosperity built upon a reliable energy supply, There are thousands of newly rich Russian millionaires in Moscow who would love to be able to buy a new Mercedes or Porsche.

I think yours is a good analysis–though I’m not sure you’re saying what I think you’re saying.
If Russia is able to gain control of the Donbas and the entire northern coast of the Black Sea, and the remainder of Ukraine is defanged–unable to mount a military attack or resistance against either Russia or its newly subsumed territories, and also unable to attract enough men and materiel from elsewhere to be a threat–then Russia will have achieved its primary goals.
Russia will be in a position to both protect and develop the Donbas and the entire northern coast of the Black Sea, and enjoy the economic fruits of this enterprise, and the remainder of Ukraine will serve as the needed buffer zone between Russia and NATO.
Honestly, I don’t think this would be too hard to achieve. It won’t be long before there are no Ukrainians left to fight, and no Poles or mercenaries who will sign up, for any amount of money. I also figure that most of the money flowing into Ukraine is being laundered back into the pockets of Congress, and most of the military equipment is being sold off to the highest bidder, and THAT money is being laundered back into the pockets of Congress, the MIC, and a few select Ukrainian political figures.
So I think this war will devolve into even more of a pretense than it already is.
The biggest problem, it seems to me, is that Ukraine has been largely depopulated. This is some pretty high-value agricultural real estate. Someone here posted that a lot of Ukrainian land has been purchased by a couple of multi-national corporations, presumably for agriculture. Maybe they figure on doing only highly mechanized farming of wheat or some such, and they would just as soon not have the bother of operating in a country with a population.

Yes, you did miss the key point of my mini history. Russia’s tactics and goals have not remained static as it has fought a proxy war with NATO/US on it’s southern border. When he first began what he called the Special Military Operation in Ukraine, Putin the diplomat believed that facing certain defeat, Ukraine would choose to negotiate some form of arrangement that would allow Ukraine to continue to exist but pose no immediate threat to Russia. It could continue as the poorest country in Europe with the most corrupt leadership class still able to siphon off whatever wealth remained and keep opportunities for carpetbaggers like Hunter Biden intact.
Whatever his hopes for achieving a diplomatic conclusion from the Special Military Operation that would meet Russia’s minimal security needs, Putin was mistaken. The events of the past year have demonstrated to the Russian command that the only way to achieve security for the future is to defeat and disband NATO while somehow avoiding or surviving NATO’s last gasp resort to using nuclear weapons.
The Russian Army is not the same token force sent into the Ukraine as the Special Military Operation a year ago. It has been placed on a wartime footing and radically expanded by calling up reserves with prior military training. The command structure has been re-organized and instructed to build a national army of a million and a half men to win any land war that NATO could throw at it.
But the best way to disband NATO is from within, not on the battlefield. Germany is the linchpin of the entire European alliance. The USA may pay the bills and send wonder weapons that maximize the MIC profits and are useless in real war, but if it should have to fight an actual war on European soil the Europeans would have do do the suffering and dying. Germany has a choice: continue on a path to national suicide, or accept the fact that the USA sabotaged their national lifeline by bombing the Nordstream pipelines—an actual act of war. Leave NATO and close the American air bases in retribution, rebuild their energy supply network and return to prosperity.
Russia has won the first two stages of the Ukrainian conflict, the first by demolishing the Ukrainian national army, and the second by checkmating and slaughtering the mercenary armies paid for and supplied by the United States. They have decisively won the Sanctions war and emerged with no national debt and a booming economy, while the USA has acquired 30 +++ trillion dollars in un-payable debt and has it’s underclass living in tents under freeway overpasses and mainlining death drugs.
Russia has moved on from 2014 when their goal was to have the Minsk Accords accepted by the Ukrainians and enforced as agreed by the Germans and French. They have no intention of looking back or relying on any more pieces of paper signed by Americans.
ps: Most of the most premium farmland in the Ukraine is located in the three northern obelisks which are now by popular vote part of Russia. How much do you think that the titles to tens of thousands of acres “bought” by Monsanto and Carigill are worth once the last Ukonazi wolf is eradicated by the new owners?

I can’t help but look forward to the dollar’s loss of reserve status and, as a result, becoming worthless–or pretty much so.
For one very big thing, this will destroy the federal government’s hold on the states. One of the biggest reasons that states won’t secede is they don’t want Uncle Sugar’s gravy train to be cut off–for medical care, education, transportation, etc.–the cutting off of which would put half of almost any state out of work. Even Social Security recipients like myself will not care if the feds cut off our SS when the monthly check is worth about 75 cents. (As it is, Medicare seems to want to give me money. And I actually have a little money, for the first time in my life. Too bad it is soon to be worthless. But I guess it was nice while it lasted. i guess it’s lucky I don’t eat much.)
Anyway…. When the dollar is worthless, the states will start thumbing their noses at federal mandates. Corporations (I would hope) will say, “We are going to start building cars that people can afford, so screw your federal requirements.” And they’ll also start mining coal and maybe even drilling for oil, once things settle down at a much later date. (I’ve read that oil wells and refineries simply can’t happen without stability. They are very expensive, and no one is likely to gamble that kind of money by investing it where the political situation is unstable. Thank you, Karl Denninger!)

I for one am getting good and damn tired of this particular Fourth Turning. For me and lots of other it started on August 29th 2005, and for these past 17+ years I’ve just been getting increasingly ground down. Strauss & Howe forecast 20-ish years, so it’s got to be getting close to a wrap soon, right?
So if a page turns, odds are it’ll be some sort of relief for it to happen. Even if it’s the Sword of Damocles finally getting around to dropping. That leaves only one more time I’ve gotta jump out of the way.
But the revolution comes next and it will not be televised.
So true! The irony is that without electric or internet or transport, we will be in the dark, left guessing what might be happening beyond the scope of our personal vision. Maybe ham radio? Or lanterns like Paul Revere?

The response to Katrina (or lack thereof) made for an incredible opportunity for some observations on human behavior under purposely controlled conditions. The “calvary” was held back on purpose.
1) Let’s see, 24 hours with no food, water or power – fairly adequate supplies shared with neighbors – neighbors helping neighbors.
After 48 hours – supplies dwindle, keep what you’ve got – people getting edgy.
After 72 hours – looting, taking from others, chaos – societal breakdown.
Noted: 72-hour threshold – the oft spoken “9 meals” – and society breaks down & becomes uncivilized.
2) Blackwater – the government’s private security contractor at the time, illegally going door-to-door, confiscating legally owned weapons.
Noted: Those within had no choice but to give up their legally owned weapons. From those without? Not a peep – no one the NRA included, coming to help their own.
3) People, realizing the calvary wasn’t coming, spontaneously started to self-organize on highway medians. Setting up community encampments, defensible because of long lines of sight, women organized to cook & manage children, teens watching younger kids & camp security, men went afield and resourced & salvaged.
Noted: These people with the nerve & audacity to become independent of the authorities & self-reliant are a threat to the system. Consequently, these encampments were immediately busted up & dismantled by the authorities.
4) The area – a large swath of the Gulf Coast became a militarized zone. Even contractor’s coming in to assist & rebuild, required to pass thru armed checkpoints, far off from NOLA proper.
Noted: People will accept a militarized zone, if it’s sold as being for their own safety (and be happy?).

On Monday I read that the Red Cross were not feeding the people in the Superdome because if they fed them they would not consent to evacuation.
I went to work and told my co-workers that. No one believed me. They thought I was talking crazy conspiracy talk again.
But by Friday everyone had accepted that it was necessary and right to withhold food and water so that people would voluntarily get on the buses.

Paula – if you want some Indepth stories on the Katrina response, read archives of a blog – From the Wilderness, by Michael Ruppert, which had almost hourly updates of the response to Katrina. At the time, I probably read it hourly.
I followed Ruppert religiously and whenever he was over a target, I wanted to see what he was looking for, so I’d pay close attention – rapt attention.
Michael Ruppert was a genius, next-level thinker when it came to gathering and processing disparate – many times on purpose – sources of factual information, and seamlessly connecting the dots (not unlike JHK and I’ve told him so).
His book Crossing the Rubicon: The Decline of the American Empire at the End of the Age of Oil, published in 2004, lays open 9/11 – the truth & indisputable evidence of those involved. The most fascinating, footnoted & documented book I’ve ever read.
Ruppert was ahead of his time – a seer – and I believe in it for no other reason than to expose the truth (not unlike JHK and I’ve told him so). Catherine Austin Fitts was a regular contributor to his blog in it’s heyday – first I’d heard of her, and her talented intellect.
Ruppert took his own life in 2014, and conspiracy theories whirled – he’d made lots of enemies, so plausible that it wasn’t suicide, but I personally think he’d had enough. To be able to see things clearly is both a blessing & a curse, and sometimes the aggregate of what you’ve seen becomes too much.
RIP Mike. He’ll remain legendary in my book. Check him out.

I just watched the trailer for 99 Homes. Wow. Just wow. I’d never heard of it though I’ve been in real estate since 1999 as an agent and 2003 as a landlord.

By making it about a monthly payment, buyers are seduced into buying more than they should and financing it for longer than they should. Most buyers trust the lender when s/he tells them how much they can “afford”. What a buyer can afford is just a mathematical model. It doesn’t allow for junior’s expensive sports hobby, or contributing 15% of both incomes to 401ks, or saving up for a larger emergency fund, etc. Buying at the top of what you can “afford” is a recipe for disaster, eventually.

I’ve been listening to a radio station aimed at a younger demographic lately.
The other day I heard a commercial, a young woman was speaking in a sing-song tone with a valley girl accent. I thought I heard her say she was an MD.
I also thought I heard her recommend a covid shot to pregnant women.
I checked with a younger woman I know listens to the radio in her car a lot. She had heard the commercial as well. Her first thought was “who would listen to her?”
Yes, she was telling pregnant women a covid shot was the best way to “protect” their baby. I heard the commercial again last night.
She also offered the fact that she delivered a healthy baby as evidence that women should get the shot.

I’ve come to think of this country as similar to other entities that are wholly corrupt at the top, but still full of honest and honorable people who do genuinely good things even within that context. One of my relatives was a nun, the mother superior of a convent. She spent her entire adult life caring for the sick, owned nothing, and wanted nothing for herself. Yet – the Catholic Church, of which she was part, is (I believe) absolutely corrupted at the top.
Whether we realize it or not, we’re all somewhat in the same position. If we act with honesty and integrity, but within a debased system, are we serving the system unintentionally or are we unknowingly rebelling against it?
Whatever the answer, I think any entity – church, government, corporation – eventually becomes corrupted in exactly this same way as sociopaths bit by bit chip away at protections against tyranny as they seek and obtain power. Periodically, they have to be purged. It’s never pretty.

The Earth naturally has its own equilibrium system, and we’re trying to override it with our own. Food availability will become probabilistic. People won’t put up with that – world-wide unrest will ensue and nobody knows who or what will be in power once the dust settles.
Economically, we’ve acted very stupidly. You can’t spend more than you take in without an ultimate breakdown. Militarily we’ve been insane. We all know here what the USA is doing. Did you read about the toddler shooting a gun? Crazy isn’t it? Now picture the gun as a missile carrying nukes – that’s where we may be heading. Then who or what will be in power? The US/NATO spent 8 years building and equipping the Ukrainian military and digging them into eastern Ukraine. They were the best equipped and largest military in Europe last January.
They had thousands of tanks, tanks which they knew how to operate and maintain. The Russians destroyed them when they entered the war.

I used to live way back opposite the fantastic Imperial War Museum in London. They have a great historic tank collection. I expect when I visit in February, the WW1 British tank and the T-34 will be gone. They’ll be the only tanks left in the UK that we can send to the Ukies.

My great-grand parents and then grandparents owned a hatchery. My grandmother said they gassed the roosters.
People who keep a few chickens kill the surplus roosters for dinner (if they’re young) and chicken broth if they’re tough old birds. It can sometimes be good to keep at least one rooster around, if you happen to have one that will protect the flock. Some roosters will face down a very big dog to protect the hens. I once had a very large, mean, aggressive rooster who lost his life that way. But there are very few roosters like that.
I suppose the breeds of chickens that are kept in CAFOs for eggs must not be suitable as meat birds. If they were, they could sell the the young roosters for meat (you would think).

Most people want to buy hens for their backyard flocks, not roosters. The factory farms that sell eggs also only want hens. Therefore hatcheries kill the boy chicks.

The Big Guy’s plan proposes to wipe out $20,000 of student loan debt for “most borrowers”. As with virtually anything the government does, it throws out lots of money without addressing the real problem.
The real problem is the large number of people with debt the size of a mortgage. People for whom the interest on the loans is greater than the amount of the loans themselves. For these people, the “Biden plan” won’t make any tangible difference.
And why should it be any different? In 2005 then-Senator Biden was key to getting the “Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act” passed, making student loan debt virtually impossible to discharge.
The student loan forgiveness is a give-away to the banks, just like Obamacare was a giveaway to the insurance corporations.

One time I couldn’t even buy a bus ticket with cash. Luckily my husband was there.

Working in tech is so enlightening. The young don’t even realize their entire job consists of spinning their wheels and really getting nowhere.
Every day, a new “genius” is awarded a pool of money to develop his new app, which is created to help us manage our other apps, which were promised to help us manage our other apps.
Now you must master about 40 apps to do your daily work. This necessitates a litany of logins and passwords, and then verification via phone, in order to do anything with any app, just about.
It’s laughable. We are less productive, not more.
My husband has just got me to buy him two ‘mouse jigglers’ (a new concept to me!). At work, if he’s using the patient records system and gets up to go and get something, it shuts down and he has to use about 3 passwords to get back in, which is seriously annoying when you’re trying to work.
We met a doctor once a couple of decades ago who said that his practice had done a time and motion study on record keeping and found that paper records actually took up less of their time than doing things on computers.
My husband also told me they have to write notes by hand anyway before it goes on the computer system, because surveys have shown that patients are quite happy for a doc to scribble notes while they’re talking to him/her, but they seriously don’t like docs typing on computers as they think the doc isn’t paying attention to what they’re saying. That one is actually psychology and not logic, but you have to keep the patients happy too.
Mary wants to be more productive; to serve the Pyramid better by making its computers more effective at talking to each other.

Not at all surprised to read of productivity decreases with computer use.
Decades ago, when PCs started to become ubiquitous in the workplace—long before the App Age—the assumption was that of course they would increase productivity in all office settings.
But even back then a number of studies found that in many settings the use of computers had not increased productivity, but rather, the opposite.
Certainly the introduction on on-screen editing made my own work a lot easier, also physically.
And computers save a lot of space, when it comes to record keeping.
But I can’t help wondering whether the productivity gains ascribed to computers leave out completely a lot of exernalities—just as is the case with “green energy,” when consumer savings on gas and local CO2 spewing are the only factors counted.
I would like to see a calculation of the actual costs—all of the costs, including environmental—of the mass changeover to electronic work.
That would also have to include and monetize the vast sea of frustration and free-floating rage that results from humans’ no longer being able to speak to another human when they attempt to contact these business or gov. entities.

As someone there on the ground floor, I can tell you, as much as I love working with a lot of these tools (some are useful for my projects, esp. art ones), people are wayyyyy less productive because they spend at least half their time having to be trained and other tech issues.

I notice that all these people who are so concerned supposedly about the nebulous climate change thing are not concerned about chemtrails or the LED sun as examples. They don’t really care about the environment.
I have noticed from my own circle of acquaintance that the most rabid, ahem, I mean devoted, adherents to the climate change orthodoxy are the people who tear down an old house in a coveted in-town suburban neighborhood, erect a huge, modern new build that virtually covers the lot entirely, and then furnish the house from scratch. The landfill cost of the teardown, plus throwing away or selling all their prior furniture and appliances is NEVER part of the calculation of their own carbon footprint.

Sometimes people are creeped out to think that other people inhabited a place before them. In fact my daughter sold her house as a teardown for $525,000. Of course someone is building a four million dollar house on that lot and you can bet they are not conservative. It’s a sad situation as the neighborhood was built in the 1970’s and was very exclusive. It became a bit run down over the years but for the oldsters who held out it was a big payday. I did read what looked to me like the most recent article by Susan Crockford, and it is very interesting. It looks like less sea ice might actually be an advantage to polar bears.
One is for sure: Our “masters” are control freaks who think they can establish a stable state of things that advantages them. They want to control , or basically stop, evolution. To do this this they will create conditions that PREVENT other organisms from adpating to the very conditions that humans have (partially) created, such as habitat destruction.
They are have no idea of the actual adaptability of organisms, including us.
I guess per Crockford polar bears evolved from brown bears (I haven’t read this part). So that suggests that htey are capable of continuing to evolve or to take advantage of new food sources offered by more access to land.

The Real Meaning of ‘Land Acknowledgements’

The “indigenous land acknowledgment” ritual is both petty and sweeping. It’s almost comical how it claims territory in the name of small bands of people. It’s also audacious in the way it undermines the very concept of America. And it is spreading everywhere: colleges, churches, cities, states. Land acknowledgement at the national level is entirely possible. What would that mean?
The rot began in Australia. Labor Prime Minister Paul Keating arguably redefined Australia’s national identity when he berated whites in 1992:
Isn’t it reasonable to say that if we can build a prosperous and remarkably harmonious multicultural society in Australia, surely we can find just solutions to the problems which beset the first Australians, the people to whom the most injustice has been done. And, as I say, the starting point might be to recognize that the problem starts with us non-Aboriginal Australians. It begins, I think, with that act of recognition.
Recognition that it was we who did the dispossessing. We took the traditional lands and smashed the traditional way of life. We brought the diseases. The alcohol. We committed the murders. We took the children from their mothers. We practiced discrimination and exclusion. It was our ignorance and our prejudice.
Mr. Keating set up a “Reconciliation Council” that led to the “Acknowledgement of Country” practice, in which whites ritualistically say that the land they are on belongs to someone else.
“Reconciliation” spread to Canada. From 2008 to 2015, because of the supposed scandal of Indians being educated in Western schools, the government established a Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada. Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has pushed “land acknowledgements,” which are now recited at hockey games, cultural events, and government functions. “The day at Admiral Collingwood Elementary School here on the banks of the Georgian Bay begins not with Canada’s national anthem,” wrote the Washington Post, “but with a reminder of the country’s dark colonial history.”
In both Canada and Australia, a major supposed sin was educating Indians in Western schools. Presumably, whites should have left them in the Stone Age.
“Reconciliation” should mean putting grudges aside, but this movement seeks out new grudges — some of them based on fairy tales. In Canada, activists made sensational claims about mass graves of Indian students at Catholic schools. No one could find the graves, but that didn’t matter. Mobs burned Catholic churches and smashed statues of Mary. The Canadian government apologized. Pope Francis seemed embarrassed by the Church’s earlier efforts to spread the faith and didn’t complain about attacks on churches. Instead, he went to Canada and groveled before Indian activists.
In 2022, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, always eager to apologize on behalf of whites, said the government “profoundly regrets its horrific and needless acts of war and raupatu (land confiscation)” and apologized for not respecting the “mana whakahaere (authority.)” New Zealand is considering changing its name to a M?ori word. It’s hard not to be reminded of what happened when Rhodesia got its new name.
“Reconciliation” is never complete. What would become of the activists and bureaucrats if it were? Australia has a “Reconciliation Barometer” that claims the country is on the right track, but warns that “experiences of racism are increasing.” The more money spent on stamping out racism, the more racism activists seem to find.
These efforts aren’t about reconciliation but dominance and power. The original “Truth and Reconciliation Committee” was the one set up after the fall of South Africa. Though it gave amnesty to some white South African leaders, it marked a change in the character of the state. Modern South Africa, with its now traditional power outages, is no longer the well-run country it used to be. Will the “new” Canada, Australia, and New Zealand also become minority-majority countries with dispossessed white populations?
Since the George Floyd riots of 2020, the United States has careened into an unprecedented level of iconoclasm, censorship, and re-education. And we are now following the rest of the Anglosphere with increasingly widespread “land acknowledgements.” Mentioning the tribes by name is important, because naming specific “victims” makes the occupation and colonization more personal and hideous.
School board meetings at the Boulder Valley School District in Colorado used to start with the Pledge of Allegiance. Last year the board voted to ditch pledge for a different statement: “We acknowledge the atrocities committed here, including the painful history of genocide, forced assimilation, and efforts to alienate the Indigenous inhabitants from their homeland . . . .” The land was “unjustly and illegally taken territory of the Ute, Puebloan, Arapaho, Cheyenne, Apache, Navajo, and 48 other tribal nation.” Activists want the full statement plastered around every school. “When you walk into any school building, it should be the first thing that you see,” says one.
Microsoft has joined the movement. “We need to acknowledge that the land where the Microsoft campus is located is traditionally occupied by the Sammamish, Duwamish, Snoqualmie, Suquamish, Muckleshoot, Snohomish, Tulalip, and other coastal Salish people since time immemorial,” said a company communications manager, who added that the company is “continuing to honor and bring to light their amazing heritage.”
The Rhode Island towns of Warren, South Kingstown, and Barrington read “land acknowledgements” at town meetings. Portland, Oregon is also considering whether to add to its charter an admission that it sits on “stolen land.”
The county of Hennepin in Minnesota has its own self-abasing statement. Commissioner Irene Fernando says that “acknowledging that their land was taken and occupied is the least we can do.”
At Princeton University, “Land Acknowledgements” recognize that the university sits on the “ancient homeland” of the Lenni-Lenape people. Princeton ignored the Indians at the time, but now treasurers its “historic links” with them.
Churches love to confess their sins. There are countless other examples and we encourage readers to write in the comments below what is happening in their communities and institutions.

To say that America is “occupied” is to say whites don’t belong here. That’s the message of Indigenous People’s Day as opposed to Columbus Day. It’s a way of redefining America from an outpost of Western Civilization to a landmass populated by non-white groups, all oppressed by whites, which really belongs to the “indigenous.” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has tried to rebrand Hispanics as “indigenous” in her effort to abolish immigration laws.
Our children are being taught they don’t belong in the only country they’ve ever known. Leading institutions teach them guilt and shame. The result is that white Americans are in a country where we are not just unrepresented, but increasingly seen as illegitimate occupiers. White Americans are ill-equipped to fight this. Part of the problem is that the words “nation,” “state,” and “country” are often used interchangeably. They shouldn’t be.
A nation can exist without a state. The state, properly considered, is the government or the regime. A nation is the people. A legitimate country worthy of one’s loyalty is the political expression of the nation. There are nations without states, such as the Kurds, the Tamils, and the Igbos. The plight of “stateless nations” are responsible for many of modernity’s bloodiest conflicts and fiercest political battles.
Whites in many countries are becoming stateless. America has been redefined from the top, and land acknowledgements are an important part of this effort. Some conservatives may try to dodge the issue by saying that America is a proposition nation, dedicated to ideas. If our founding idea is “freedom,” the American Experiment already failed. Others may say it’s the supposed founding principle of egalitarianism. That, of course, is an impossible goal.
“Land acknowledgements” advance the claim that the land truly belongs to “indigenous people.” The logical conclusion is that our presence is a crime and our time is borrowed. When a country’s leading institutions teach our people guilt, shame, and self-hatred, it’s not our country. Land acknowledgements won’t stop with words. Once guilt is admitted, reparations must follow.
California, which was never even a slave state, is considering hundreds of thousands of dollars per person in reparations for blacks. Universities that supposedly benefitted from slavery are also considering reparations. American Indians (or those who can fake being American Indians) would be foolish not to demand more handouts.
However, American-style “land acknowledgements” pick an arbitrary point in history — the arrival of whites — and pretend a specific tribe had always owned that land. This is nonsense. Tribes fought each other before and after whites arrived.
There are few areas of the world that were truly unsettled until modern times. Iceland is the exception, and it remains largely homogenous. And, of course, arguments about a people’s “right” to a territory change, depending on the interests of our rulers.
NATO is supplying weapons to defend a Ukrainian nation that bans religious organizations with links to Russia, strips the citizenship of subversives, censors foreign media (even before the war), and is banning certain Russian books, music, and media.
This isn’t to say these actions are good or bad, only to say that the United States has no principled position when it comes to defending ethnonationalism. It’s impossible to imagine President Joe Biden banning Spanish-language media because it’s subversive. Powerful institutions in America now celebrate blood and soil nationalism within and against the United States but oppose efforts by American patriots to do the same. Our opponents will not give whites the same rights of self-determination and cultural autonomy they grant to obscure Indian tribes.
“I am for whites, because I am white,” said Emperor Napoleon I, “I have no other reason, yet that is reason good enough.” It’s good enough for everyone else, but it’s not good enough for whites. Whites are unique in our moral universalism. Mere self-interest isn’t enough to convince whites to act. Most whites must have a universal moral philosophy to justify their actions.
But shouldn’t land acknowledgement obligate whites to leave? Staying is worse than stealing something, admitting the theft, and then refusing to give it back. It’s like stealing something, admitting it, apologizing, and then continuing to steal even as you keep saying you’re sorry.
Land acknowledgements are part of a struggle for status and power, not justice. It’s tribal warfare. We’re surrounded by far-right nationalists. They just aren’t white, and, unfortunately, they are within our borders. The claims that having to learn about European cultures, mix with Europeans, or operate within European society constituted cultural genocide should mean we can shrug off moral demands that we are required to integrate with everyone on Earth.
American Indians supposedly have a subordinate position in this country, but they have all the benefits of citizenship plus rewards for being in the right bloodline. They also enjoy a certain amount of self-rule. This sounds ideal to whites, who lack any real political representation. Most Indian reservations in the United States are plagued with poverty and crime. A white “reservation” in America with some autonomy would quickly resemble Orania in South Africa.
Europe also apparently has an eternal responsibility to bring in vast non-white populations. Countries that never had a colonial empire or who even suffered under non-white rule until quite recently are not exempt. Whites have nowhere on Earth to call their own. It also seems that “forced assimilation” was a crime against humanity when Indians were taught to read, but it is the highest virtue when white students were forced to integrate their schools.
We know why whites returning to Europe, or some grand division of the races into their “ancient homelands” won’t work. They would follow us. Matthew Caldwell’s recent first-person piece, “I Hate You; Don’t Ever Leave Me,” shows the truth about why we can’t go back to Europe, or anywhere else. Self-determination for all peoples sounds like a nice solution, but non-whites will not leave whites alone.
In the end, it’s not about American Indians, or blacks, or anyone else. It’s about us. Why should whites go along with land acknowledgements, particularly when there seems to be no “reconciliation”? Many whites just mouth humbug that, for now, has no economic consequences. Saying such things may show your moral superiority above other whites, which always seems to be white progressives’ real concern.
But we should ask those goofy whites who go along with this nonsense when they are leaving. If they truly believe this is stolen land, they should go. If they don’t, and the sole sacrifices they are willing to make are to come from reparations extracted from other whites, we can dismiss them out of hand.
The real lesson whites should take from these tribes is that mass immigration is a disaster. If it continues long enough, your nation or tribe no longer has a country. If “land acknowledgements” and other anti-white rituals spread, many more whites will understand that. Ideas are often taken to their logical conclusion. White advocates are just a bit ahead of the curve in spotting what’s coming.

Yep BRH Louisiana is second to only Hawaii in terms of how much rainfall is received annually. A lot of people don’t know this but we actually have two monsoon seasons too. The summer monsoon which is like afternoon thunderstorms everyday that come in from the east on the gulf trade winds. Then we also have the winter monsoons where the rain comes in from cold fronts off of the continent from the west. It still rains throughout the year but it is somewhat drier in spring and fall. And the gators do indeed love all the water lol.

I think Christian organizations by law now technically have to adopt to gay couples. They might have been afraid to report anything or perhaps even if they did nothing would have been done?
It’s hard to say. Most agencies like this I think are understaffed, unless they have high-end clientele. So yeah, who knows if their workers make minimum wage and don’t really understand how due diligence is really important when placing kids in homes.
Hard to argue they weren’t 1) a pro-life organization 2) blowing off the responsibility to do background checks… I’d think.
Truly sick and disgusting. A lot of course will be made of this because they are gay but the reality is that child abuse is always sick and disgusting and in need of being punished fully. Last time I flew commercial was 2003. Flew into Vegas and rented a rag top Dodge. I took my 17 yr. old daughter around the western USA and Northern Mexico for 4 weeks. What a trip. I knew a lot of the spots as I had been around that environs a few times before. I worked around the USA for 2 years circa ’77-’78. Oilfields-pipelines. I’ve never been overseas. I love my country. This country was so great years ago. I fly now almost every year but in small planes over the Pioneer valley during foilage season.
That sounds like an amazing trip.
