The thesis called mass formation psychosis put forward lately by the Belgian psychologist Mattias Desmet — a good digest here in text, not video — goes a long way to explaining the disgraceful mindfuckery that Western Civ has fallen for in our time, promulgated by a thinking class that descended into abject madness. It’s well worth reviewing.

The descent was provoked by the existential anxiety over the collapse of techno-industrial economies and the end of progress as-we’ve-known-it. (Have you noticed: it was the self-styled “progressives” who went the craziest?) As Dr. Desmet lays it out, the disconnectedness of contemporary life, its lack of meaning or purpose for many, leads to unendurable anxiety. All that inchoate fear seeks desperately to attach itself to some real object, some thing or some force that can be comprehended, fought, and triumphantly overcome. Finding such a target produces an intoxicating sense of communal connection, purpose, and meaning, driving actions that are often crazy and also absolutely impervious to rational debate.

The angst in America was well established by 2016. A beaten-down middle-class suspected that left-of-center politicians did not have their interests at heart after years of off-shoring their jobs, and they managed to elect their avatar, Donald Trump, over the obviously unsympathetic globalist, Hillary Clinton — who snootily tagged her opposition “the deplorables.” Even so, the polls had her ahead by a mile. Then, by some weird twist of fate, she lost a few crucial counties in midwestern states she hadn’t bothered to visit, and was reportedly too plastered after midnight on election night to come down and console the troops at campaign headquarters. The shocking election outcome instantly deranged the nation’s entire managerial class and its thinking-out-loud interlocutors in the news media and on campus.

The Golden Golem of Greatness, as I liked to call Mr. Trump, was the perfect target for their animus. Threatening to “drain the swamp,” he would shatter their hard-won power privileges and deprive them of their well-worn grifts — such as the various revolving doors between big money and its regulators. Plus, his rough personality offended their own pretense of decorum (in pursuit of that power and grift). They decided that he had to go, and fast, and the whole managerial class and their allies closed ranks to get it done, not least the vicious agents of the Intel “Community,” which force-fed all the federal legal machinery — the official instruments of punishment.

If they could only knock Mr. Trump off the game-board, America’s troubles would be over. We could get back on track to becoming a utopia of inclusion, diversity, equity, and self-driving electric cars. For four years the FBI, the DOJ, and other distributed players (such as the CIA mole Eric Ciaramella and his NSA co-seditionist Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, and such ignoble rogues in Congress as Rep. Adam Schiff and Senator Mark Warner) beat President Trump like a piñata, casually breaking the very law that they supposedly represented in the process. This punishment was accompanied by a growing repertoire of cult-like rituals — especially around race-and-gender hustles — with rich opportunities for the new behavior called virtue signaling, which was essentially a game of collecting brownie points for status-seeking purposes in the new moral hierarchy of the “Woke.”  The social networks, Facebook and Twitter, amplified every insane strand in the Woke messaging. As Dr. Desmet says, “The more absurd the rituals, the more they buy into it.”

This demonic opposition to Mr. Trump, and all the games issuing from it, produced the characteristic intoxication of mass formation psychosis. That is, the Left became a big cozy community of people initiated into a catechism of sacred truths. The important part is that they felt united in their struggle. Folks in the grip of this belonged to something at last, a solidarity of certitude, a social organism one could lose one’s anxious, fretful self in. No more loneliness and ennui. They were imbued with a sense of purpose: the ritual killing of the monster called Trump — millions of heroic Captain Willards stealing up-river to behead the renegade Colonel Kurtz. The news media’s role was to reinforce all that, with as much bad faith and dishonesty as they could get away with, in the service of fashioning a consensus that was eventually named “the narrative” — a self-reinforcing catalog of approved thought. The anti-Trump news posse garnered brownie points galore, including Pulitzer Prizes for their completely mendacious reporting.

The trouble was, for all their epic exertions, they weren’t exactly winning. The whole RussiaGate extravaganza fizzled — and may even eventuate in some criminal convictions if independent counsel John Durham turns out to be for-real. The Mueller Report came up plumb empty, to thundering disappointment, embodied in Rachel Maddow’s frantically bobulating Adam’s apple. The UkraineGate impeachment flopped. It was nice to have a sense of purpose and feel like a member of an exclusive club, but the Wokesters were unable to “nail that ol’ coonskin to wall” (as Lyndon B. Johnson once put it about winning the Vietnam War, which we lost). By January of 2020, it looked like Mr. Trump might even win re-election — the horror indeed! — considering the Democratic Party primary candidates were the most forlorn pack of has-beens, nobodies, kooks, and damaged goods ever assembled for such a contest. But whaddaya know? Along came Covid-19.

What a lifesaver the ‘Rona was for wobbling Wokedom, a cornucopia of boons, the gift that kept on giving! It provided an opportunity for perhaps the most craven public-private cartel in all the land, the CDC / FDA / NIH / NIAID / Big Pharma gang, to work some amazing hoodoo on the Golden Golem of Greatness and eventually all the nations of Western Civ. It put the perfidious, money-grubbing, and medically incompetent Dr. Anthony Fauci at the elbow of Mr. Trump as, in effect, the National Covid-19 Coordinator. He played the President like a Flugelhorn through most of 2020 — and, as the year ground on, Mr. Trump looked like he painfully suspected as much in all those ghastly televised daily briefings.

We will not go into the appalling mRNA vaccine boondoggle in detail here, except to say it reaped zillions for those with a stake in the patents, including Dr. Fauci. But Covid-19 also provided an excuse to relax the election regulations and pave the way to colossal ballot fraud in November, with Marc Elias of the Lawfare gang (and also a partner in the DNC’s pet law firm, Perkins Coie) scurrying from state to state tuning the electoral machinery in key swing precincts for a “Joe Biden” victory — and with hundreds of millions of dollars in help from Facebook’s Marc Zuckerberg. Till then, nothing in all the weaponized legal machinery across the land had succeeded in expelling the hated object of the managerial class’s loathing, but the election would git’er done.

Remember: the Progressive-Woke-Marxist-Jacobins liked nothing better than inflicting punishment. In fact, when you swept away all their ideological bullshit and the associated hustles, the movement was strictly about coercion, about pushing other people around, making them do as the Woke commissars willed. And there was a clearly sado-masochistic edge to all that. They relished cancelling people, wrecking careers, destroying reputations, livelihoods, marriages, families. Their political leaders had no qualms about exterminating hundreds of thousands of small businesses in Covid-19 lockdowns orchestrated by Woke heroes like Mayor Bill de Blasio of New York City and Governors Gavin Newsom of California and Jay Inslee of Washington State. And, of course, their darlings of the streets, BLM and Antifa, bashed-in shopfronts, looted all the merch, and burned down the buildings with mad glee.

But, most importantly, Covid-19 gave the political Left something else to focus its angst on once Mr. Trump was finally swept off the scene in the janky election. And until just the last few weeks of 2021, the virus has furnished endless opportunity for ever greater enactments of coercion and tyranny. Except now, suddenly, it’s all falling apart. In America, the claque behind the phantom president “Joe Biden” pulled the trigger on mandating vaccinations — complete with harsh punishments for the vaxx-averse — but then two things happened: 1) Federal Judge Terry Douglas in Louisiana issued an injunction against the mandate that applies in all fifty states; and 2) the news finally started leaking out — despite every effort of the US public health officialdom to hide it — that the vaccines carried an unprecedented risk of harm for medicines enlisted so casually into emergency use among so many millions of people, in addition to their negligible efficacy in preventing illness and contagion.

The Europeans, on the other hand, slid ever-deeper into despotic measures not seen since the Gestapo terrorized the continent. The Europeans face the same primal source of anxiety that the Americans do: the running down of their techno-industrial economies, except their predicament is arguably a little bit keener than ours is, since they have hardly any oil and natural gas of their own to run things on, and suffer terrible uncertainty about who will furnish it for them. If they had not gone out of their minds over what has turned out to be a pretty punk-ass virus — when treated early with a menu of cheaply available drugs — and hadn’t deified the false savior vaccines, they might be a whole lot more concerned about how they are going to heat their homes, fertilize their crops, and produce things of value — in short, remain civilized.

The catch is, they’ve given themselves until February to enforce their foolish vaccine mandates. The Omicron variant may help, too, since it is proving so far to be a grossly over-hyped development, discrediting the paranoia ginned up in the media. Can their courts act as ours have and put a stop to the madness? Between now and then we’re likely to see the defeat of the mass formation psychosis in America, at least, as the country is forced to face the truth of what it has done to itself.

Or, at least it will be the end of this chapter of that story. Perhaps the Europeans will snap out of it, too, as they see the narrative collapse in America. Or are they just too far gone? Standing by on developments.

A great summation regarding the stupidity of humans and not just Western Civ because morons around the world who are in charge to lead the people are doing the same thing, just varying degrees.

    • Night Owl December 6, 2021 at 10:12 am #

Well, the ones pulling the strings are not morons. They have planned all of this out and written about it in detail.

It is working because many people are morons. And many smart enough to see through it to some degree are afraid of being called conspiracy theorists by morons.

      So here we are.

I thought about you when I read this today. Hopefully some sanity will prevail at least “for the children”

        • tahoe1780 December 6, 2021 at 12:35 pm #

They have to get the “vaccines” on the childhood schedule to maintain liability protection while pushing their new antivirals.

“The vaccine is pushed on children as quickly as possible so that the liability shield can be transferred to the 1986 Act. Once children are on the CDC schedule, the liability shield of the PREP Act is no longer needed, and early treatment drugs are fair game.”

          “Follow the liability shield.
Liability shields protect and incentivize the distribution of unsafe products, but from the pharmaceutical industry’s perspective they protect their profits from being eaten away by lawsuits.

Within the United States, total liability for vaccines is provided by the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act to any vaccine added to the CDC schedule for children or pregnant women. Once on the schedule for children or pregnant women, the liability applies to all Americans, even adult men.

Liability is also given for drugs and vaccines developed during pandemics declared by the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act of 2005, so long as the emergency declared has no existing treatments.

These liability shields greatly incentivize additions of vaccines to the CDC schedule, since these result in nearly universal vaccination of children yet complete protection from all liability. They also incentivize emergency use of drugs and vaccines under the PREP Act and creative dodging of liability in foreign countries.”

          • Hereward the Woke December 6, 2021 at 12:56 pm #

The only loophole to their non-liability is if it can be proven that the jab is a bioweapon. Which it is. They all deserve to hang for this.

          • Socrates-Detroit December 6, 2021 at 1:46 pm #

“…liability given… so long as emergency declared has no existing treatments…”

Well, that explains much. There is a HUGE incentive to not have or to not find a treatment.

          • Night Owl December 6, 2021 at 2:13 pm #

How can one find a treatment for a disease that one has never proven to exist?

There is literally no test for “Covid-19”

Yeah, I mentioned that in another post.

There are no kids dying because Covid-19 was the seasonal flu rebranded.

It is now the shots that are destroying people’s internal organs and immune systems.

Those who have pushed for the mandated jabs and who have, as a result, caused the premature deaths and injuries of adults are looking at a world of hurt pretty soon.

But it will be the premature deaths and injuries of the little ones that will get the nooses around their necks.

If the Republicans had any balls they would introduce legislation NOW to stop the jabs AND to remove liability protections for Big Pharm, just as a CYA move (since the Dems would never go along and if they did Biden would veto it….Heels Dug In Joe).

If I was Donald John Trump I would stop crowing about how great the jabs are, like now.

          • MaryMaryFullOfPride December 9, 2021 at 1:26 pm #

If you marched your children off to be shot (AKA vaccinated) you are guilty of intentional murder if/when they die from the genetic intervention of the fake vaccine. Protest all you want that your Leaders told you it was harmless and for their own good. Your children are not of the age of consent where they could give “fully informed consent” to be used as experimental test animals as required by the Nuremberg Accords. As adults you had no right to use your physical and emotional power over them to force them to become experimental subjects, and remain responsible for the consequences of your actions.

In societies ostensibly operating under the Rule of Law, the solution when people in positions of power wish to violate it is to ignore or nullify the Law. Not surprising that some want to strike down the Nuremberg Principles and in effect grant sainthood to Dr. Mengele and all of his fellow contemporary Angels of Death. (That is you I’m speaking to, Dr. Fauci)

I just attempted to post a first installment of the early history of the COVID Pandemic. I started with the history of the Diamond Princess cruise ship before the very first COVID case arrived in the USA. However the Thought Police censored it. What follows is the introductory paragraph stripped of all the content that follows. Let’s see if that is allowed, or if I should expect to have my door battered down during the night—.

            “Ancient History.

It is important to understand how we got here before it disappears down the memory hole, rather than just obsessively watching videos of Australian Brown Shirts threatening the UN-vaccinated COVID-free Pure Bloods that they have rounded up and placed in concentration camps ”

Looks like Operation Censor is attempting to rabbit hole all information about the success of ivermectin in Uttar Pradesh, India My link to Hindastantimes has been replaced with a notification that the page no longer exists. Check it out.

And whereas WorldOMeter has supplied data for that province independently from the rest of India for months, it now lumps it with the rest of India which has radically different policies and outcomes. In place of the previous data sources the reader is now fed several “fact check” opinion pieces obviously written by a journalist rather than a scientist. Never mind that the number of published and peer reviewed studies of Ivermectin effectiveness outnumber those supporting the Pfizer mRNA genetic intervention by a factor of ten! Never mind that mRNA “vaccination” is a failed technology with efficacy falling to near zero after five to six months.

It’s a Brave New World where all information is Disinformation and the more likely it is to be significant and factual the more likely it is to be suppressed .

          • Islander December 8, 2021 at 3:45 pm #

            Re Uttar Pradesh,
I bookmarked this page, in case it is useful:

          • ThorsHammer December 9, 2021 at 5:00 pm #

            Thanks Islander

Your link helps fill in some of the blanks in the history of this current censorship.

It’s interesting to research the biographies of those in the “fact check” industry. In another incident I discovered that 18 out of 19 “fact checkers” were journalists by training and background. One had some education in science before turning to to journalism (AKA prostitution). And these fact checkers are people who critique actual scientists, many with extensive peer reviewed publications and even with Nobel Prizes on their resumes!

      It is brilliant. A masterpiece.

    • SomeoneInAsia December 6, 2021 at 10:26 am #

With all due respect, people outside the charmed circle of the Western world originally did not want to adopt its ways. There were forced to. That’s why they’re now all ‘doing the same thing, just varying degrees’.

And if one wants to offer the usual excuse that the ways of the West are better, one needs to explain just how those ways can be considered as better if they’re leading us all collectively towards a giant shithole known otherwise as The Long Emergency.

It’s always more comforting to the ego to think that the problems found in the cultural milieu one is born in are somehow universal, not peculiar to that milieu.

      • Cavepainter December 6, 2021 at 10:55 am #

In contrarian way you are the disrespectful one; not recognizing (or maybe you’re just ignorant of the lessons of history) that Western Culture is unique for ordering society based upon logic and reasoning, arriving at scientific based understanding that society must be ordered not on notions of “human perfectibility” but rather on government structure and process that increases prospect of correcting occasions when humanity’s worst tendencies have manifested. That is, government like our democratic republic. A little diligence please,

        • izzy December 6, 2021 at 11:08 am #

And yet here we are, mired in a multi-front existential crisis.

“Western culture is the one people emigrate to.” Money and free stuff for those who show up with their hands out is a big part of that culture at the moment.

      • Rulo Deschamps December 6, 2021 at 12:58 pm #

A few observations. China is not part of the Western world, yet it played a major role in this clusterfuck – yet to be exactly determined, as it’s not a transparent society, and Western media is heavily manipulated/censored. It’s not clear whether the faction represented by the Biden regime pushed China to do something, or the other way around, for example.

No heavyweight geo-political actor refused to join the action. Russia, India, Europe, Canada, all jumped into their own versions of St Vitus’ dance. More or less draconian measures, more or less willingness to push their own version of a technical-pharma “solution” (Sputnik diplomacy, for example), but no flat-out rejection of the so called “problem”. Bolsonaro’s Brazil may be a special case, which takes me to the next point.

I think population pressures and resource depletion mandate that most countries will experience, or are experiencing, massive crashes. When smaller countries looked at what was was happening in big ones, their governments must have reached the same conclusion: “this thing is a godsend! Now we can blame it all on covid. But wait, that’s not all! We can also become more authoritarian, tighten controls and surveillance, and manipulate the political process… those Americans and Chinese are not stupid – let’s imitate them!”

To a degree, Brazil has been an exception to this, because it really is itching to claim its place in the Big Players society. This has been, and is being done, by destroying the last of the Amazon forest to replace with soybean and cattle production, a process that started under “left wing” Lula and continues full steam under “right wing” Bolsonaro. In addition, it has not insignificant fossil fuel reserves, hydro and nuclear power, and a range of advanced industries, from armaments to aviation to chemicals. So whatever crash the world is experiencing, they feel they can hang on for a few more decades and transform their “big player” status in South America (a role formerly played by Argentina) into a “world big player”.

There’s much more about your comments, but I think it’s simplistic to say “the West pushed other nations into compliance”.

        • ThorsHammer December 6, 2021 at 6:15 pm #

          A point of correction:

The Indian province of Uttar Pradesh (221million people defied “Western” advice and adopted a policy of supplying universal free Ivermectin. As a result it is the only nation-sized region where COVID has been eradicated. ( Zero deaths for several weeks at a time)

At the same time another Indian province outlawed Ivermectin and signed on to the Pfizer “vaccine” train. (Pushed into compliance or just bribed?) It’s death count of tens of thousands closely parallels that of highly vaccinated countries like the UK with successive waves of vaccine related deaths and COVID fatalities.

Does that mean censorship at this end?

            Green Alba

The link I posted has been censored on my end as well. The same information in less detailed form should still be on WorldOMeter — at least it was two days ago.

Our thought police are becoming more and more thorough as they weed out people like me who have the wrong thoughts. My attempt to publish the first chapter of my History of the Pandemic (the Diamond Princess story) met the same censorship screen as the Hindustantimes link. And I’ve been banned from Facebook in spite of never having joined.

I’m afraid Klaus Schwab and his cohorts like Gates look at the planet as just another pretty piece of real estate in “their” galaxy and the rest of us as interlopers who are not worthy of breathing the oxygen here and need to just be evicted.

        One way or another.

I think you need to distinguish between Western culture and the statist West–the latter being neither “culture” nor “civilization,” nor even distinctively “Western,” as it is a type of organization that is in evidence everywhere throughout the world, both in the past and the present. I.e., statist organizations have a long history in China, the Middle East, and even in the Americas (the Aztec Empire). You might even say that Western Civilization is unique in being culturally averse to staism, aware of its inherent evil, and in attempting to restrain it.

Statism emerges wherever there is sufficient economic surplus (prosperity) to sustain it. No sense in raiding a people who have nothing worth stealing–and there is certainly no sense in imposing a State structure, with its very high overhead costs, on them, as it would cost more than it came to.

So Statist structures must be preceded by a highly prosperous society. Western culture produced social conditions of prosperity, as did many other cultures throughout the world–all of which, inevitably it seems, attracted the covetous eye of thieves and oppressors, giving rise to the predatory State.

Only in the West (as far as I know) has there been any powerful cultural opposition to the State and to State tyranny.

What I am watching now is the growth of the counter movement by groups of professionals (ALL politicians except for Rand Paul will never do anything, they are part of the game) in the hope that they can generate enough pressure to keep the murdering bastards from pushing the genocide forward. So far, those pulling Joe “Stalin” Biden’s strings are plowing forward despite any noise from the other side.

I believe that they are attempting to drive those who know what is happening to the point where they become violent so that they can be crushed by the MIC. After all, until the wars with China and Russia begin (not that they are going to fight them), the military is a pawn they can play if law enforcement does not comply with the order to hunt us down.

I believe that the best thing that we as civilians can do is cheer on the good guys and never resort to violence until they are actually knocking down our doors at 3:00 with the SWAT Teams. At least then we can maintain the moral high ground and at that point we are dead anyway, may as well put up a fight. Good luck.

Yes indeed – there is no reason to be violent. That will get us martial law. They are no doubt trying to push/engineer us into that.

You are correct, the only time we need to resort to violence is when they come to break down our doors.

Until then, all it will take to crush their agenda is refusing to comply. No mask, no vaxx, no social distancing, and no testing. And, sorry, but religious exemptions are complying. Just say no.

BTW, the test might be as harmful as the vaxx, I have been reading.

Just avoid it all and if you can, give lots of verbal shit to the people who continue to ‘just do their jobs.’ That is no excuse for committing a war crime. Neither is “I didn’t know.”

Isn’t it odd, a disease so powerful you can catch it just from someone breathing less than six feet away, but it could not be detected from a cheek swab? They had to shove a stick into the base of your skull to find it?

          • MaryMaryFullOfPride December 6, 2021 at 1:05 pm #

Right? None of it makes sense, because all of it is such a fucking joke.

          • Alzaebo December 6, 2021 at 1:58 pm #

Exactly! Nasal swabs- medically necessary, never seen before- are a compliance test.

Also, a punishment; as Zorost said elsewhere, the sorting process is to segregate out those who will mindlessly obey and those who resist.
Adverse events are an acceptable loss.

The original nasal swabs were done with a wooden dowel, shaped like a swab.
They were a punishment for slaves in Egypt.
            Echoes abound.

I keep hearing that, Mary, and more often by the day. But, following that advice, mightn’t there then come a day when the advice is, “it’s too late for violence?”

          • Beryl of Oyl December 6, 2021 at 12:21 pm #

I think there’s a lot of waiting going on. The protests around the world are massive. They are few; we are many.

It’s like the doctors trying the medical interventions before they do surgery.

People are waiting to see who goes first. Will anyone go ahead and give these literally self-appointed ‘leaders’ what they’ve got coming to them?

Would any court convict them, if they do?

          • MaryMaryFullOfPride December 6, 2021 at 1:07 pm #

Well I do think there is a time for violence, agree with Walter B, it’s when they end up at your door trying to put you on a cattle car.

But if we start any social uprisings, they will just use it as an excuse to do what they’re already doing slowly. I honestly believe if everyone just stopped complying it would be over.

        • Hereward the Woke December 6, 2021 at 12:59 pm #

“Until then, all it will take to crush their agenda is refusing to comply. No mask, no vaxx, no social distancing, and no testing.” Exactly. That’s a powerful weapon even the weakest human being has: non-compliance.

” the only time we need to resort to violence is when they come to break down our doors.”

When they come to break down your door it is too late. You have already lost. And individuals just saying no will just isolate them as individuals. That is why I advocate a mass movement in support of the legal Castle Doctrine. When every Castle has posters around it’s perimeter with copies of the Law and orange lines in the sand, the Fascist Authorities will find it impossible to identify who is just saying no and who is an armed fortress that when attacked will play very poorly on the Nightly News and just may bring out the state National Guard on the side of the people.

And even Karens want to protect their families—-

Yet another reason why the first stage of arming yourself is not a gun locker full of automatic weapons but an air force of personal camera drones to record the maneuvers of the SWAT teams and transmit it directly to a non- compromised news source.

          • MaryMaryFullOfPride December 9, 2021 at 1:46 pm #

All I know is, if you start to show up in big numbers armed, they will call martial law and lock us back down. What then?

        • Anthea December 7, 2021 at 11:42 am #

I’m not sure it is correct to say there is no need to be violent. Perhaps not at present.

Karl Denniger has had quite a bit to say on that subject lately, and I find myself inclined to agree with him.

You can make a pretty good case that we are in a war. Our enemies are, after all, trying to kill us and trying to kill our children. I am no military strategist or tactician, but it seems pretty obvious to me that you can’t win a purely defensive war.

E.g., a couple of years ago I was have lunch at a Chinese restaurant with one of my old lady friends, where we were discussing these matters. I am in MIssouri, and we agreed that if Missouri should attempt to secede, the first thing that the secessionist government would need to do would be to take over key military infrastructure within our state: Lake City Arsenal, Whiteman Air Force Base, etc. You’d also have to capture all military grade equipment from militarized police departments. (And don’t believe them if they claim they’re on your side.) In other words, you’d have to go on the offensive.

      • D from OR December 6, 2021 at 10:58 am #

Walter B perpetuates a fantasy of compliant armies of. military and police to enforce the agendas of the BBB crowd. How does that work exactly? Ideology? Pay? How?

Get there first before you go down the road of door knocks and SWAT teams descending on the suburbs.

The country and its people are more fractured than you can comprehend. Outside of Portland (where I am from) there are long driveways. gated drives, people with guard dogs, people who are armed. That’s just on a two-mile section of rural Oregon road in the valley where it is supposedly Blue.

Simply put there aren’t enough National Guard or State Police to compete.

So explain again how this goes down? Who organizes it? Who is in charge?

        • Jarek December 6, 2021 at 11:10 am #

How does it ever work? Pay? Uh, yeah! And being a good boy by doing what the Establishment says is the right thing to do. Ideology? Following orders IS being a good person for many if not most. Review Kohlberg’s stages of moral development. Wiki has a good summary. The tragic fact: Conventional morality (by definition, the morality of most) is not sufficient to maintain our freedoms.

But good points nonetheless. The United States is unique. They will have a hard time treating heavily armed people like kulaks.

          • D from OR December 6, 2021 at 11:44 am #

Again, there is no amount of “pay” that will motivate the numbers required.

The ideology – what exactly is it? What are they selling? Wokesterdom? In order to work it requires superseding the present ideology (let’s call it “freedom “). It requires conversion – how does that work? How are they vetted? Who does the vetting? It requires a doctrine to point to and much more.

This is why a “common enemy” was created in the virus (like “terrorism”) but too much time has passed and few are fearful to the degree needed. Instead they’re creating resistance. Upside down world works both ways.

The bureaucrats and their average-minded underlings running this shitshow can only apply models they’ve seen in the past which is why they’re failing. This is what failure looks like for something this big. The initial slide is slow, chaotic and then it just gains speed.

          • Jarek December 6, 2021 at 11:56 am #

So why did it work in Old Germany and again now in the New Germany? Russia. China.

WHATEVER the ethos (the ruling ideology) is, most will believe and obey it in order to be a good person, or “cool”, or in Victorian England, “respectable”.

Not that it doesn’t matter objectively speaking – it does. Leftism is crazy and will have its believers doing insane and evil deeds. Christianity is much healthier, but again, if the Christian Elite go wrong, the people will follow. Conventional people are followers who paint by the numbers.

Your posts are good. You really should learn the stages of moral development and add it to your repertoire.

The US had a compliant army of 300,000 in Afghanistan, with endless money to pay soldiers salaries and officers bribes. Yet the moment a not-very-well-loved band of Pasthun tribesmen showed up waving captured rifles and speaking the language of their country many frantically ran toward the Airport where their American Benefactors beat them back with tear gas and told them to go back where they came from. One can only hope that the citizen soldiers of the National Guard would behave as patriots and join their fellow citizens rather than being paid assassins for their .001% rulers.

I live in So. Oregon outside of Coos Bay and offer a simple answer…they will succeed by example. Put the IRS onto those behind gated drives, and they soon will not be able to afford the drive, the gate, nor the dog. Examples widely and continually presented by the MSM, over time, will do the trick. Crying children and wives moving to cardboard boxes under the interstate, financially destroyed by IRS demands, will be powerful medicine… bitter, but swallowed by the neighbors and others…remember Biden asking for 80K new IRS agents? What do YOU suppose he has in mind for 3+ divisions of new agents?

        Walter B,

spot on. Mattias Desmet strongly emphasizes the importance of resistance – non-violent resistance. Any violence will be a bad chess move, giving the other, more powerful team, an excuse to crack down, hard.

Part of the reason the other team is so powerful is bc it has the capacity to infiltrate any potentially violent opposition (or even create it), and use it for its own ends, at a time of its choosing. Look at the Capitol “insurrection”, for example.

You’re correct there’s an important exception to this rule: the 3 am visit by a forced vaccination / removal to prison camp unit. Then, all bets are off. Calls for violent action need to be ignored. The peaceful non-action of refusing to comply is enough. Until our line in the sand is trespassed.

I was on a bus an hour ago, Hereward. On the other side of the aisle a family of what seemed to be tourists/visitors were asking an older woman something, before they asked me.

Something led the Edinburgh woman to mention a march she’d seen or been delayed by. She tutted disapprovingly and incredulously about them being against the ‘vaccine’.

I don’t think people like that have the slightest clue that anyone has died from the vaxxes.

I got off the bus quite dispirited. So I don’t feel that hopeful. That woman would probably be quite happy to see people held down and jabbed. She almost certainly thinks of herself as a nice, caring person.

Sociology has long termed this condition, anomie. It is very similar, in that society promotes a value system that cannot be readily fulfilled by those who accept and live according to it. An example would be a young person who has been led to believe that higher education is the correct way to a happy and successful life, but later realizes that it is not true and becomes alienated from that society. It is a very common condition today (education, family, healthcare, transportation, etc.) in our major social institutions and there is nothing to be done until the culture (values, norms) significantly change and there is no prospect on the horizon that this will happen. It loosens the bonds of society and will ultimately destroy it.

Walter: Dr Peter Martin is very good about the lead up to the China flu scandal. They planned it all right. You have slimeballs like Peter Dazcek (spelling) in 2015 already talking about unleashing a Covid type virus in order to gain funding for a new type of “vaccine”. You also have Fauci’s funding of Covid gain of function (i.e. bioweaponisation) for Wuhan during Obungo’s regime. The conspiracy theories are all true.

And then there’s this. Last nite In the Bronzville section of Chicago a local community org. Called ‘My Block, My Hood, My City’ organized a public holiday event in a local park which involved putting up and decorating a Christmas Tree, passing out gifts to neighborhood kids, refreshments and so on; in the middle of it 4 men jumped out of a ‘White Sedan’ and robbed the revelers at gunpoint, including gifts. Then to really drive home the Christmas spirit for the assembled children the assailants set the tree on fire. I doubt Hallmark will be making a heartwarming Christmas movie based on this incident. Description of the armed vandals and robbers rule out ‘White Supremacists’ that Biden and Harris still describe as ‘the greatest threat we face.’ Well, at least nobody got shot, which is a miracle in itself.

Not a nut. A dumbass hyped up on CRT and the 1619 Project, which drilled up enough hate by the constant drumbeat of ”wyt evil”, to get him to go out and kill.
Note how fast that red SUV was dropped down the Memory Hole.
The liberals went straight from Rittenhouse to some kid in Michigan, without spending a beat on the mass murder in Waukesha.
        It doesn’t fit the narrative.

There are millions of dumbasses hyped up on CRT, and there are millions of criminals.

Notice that immediately, the 15 year old shooter was given no bail and labeled a terrorist (shooting while white will get you that nowadays) before there was any time for a formal investigation.

I haven’t been really paying much attention since the day after it happened but apparently now the parents are in custody after a man hunt. I’m sure that little side story was drummed up to tittilate the masses, too.

Can’t have them looking at Waukasha.

    • farmgal December 6, 2021 at 11:01 am #

@BRH the sad truth is that the ramifications from this inner city crime festival will just be memory-holed; that is until the festivities encroach on the tonny suburbs as is happening in Beverley Hills.

Same thing can be said for any blue city in the country. My daughter lives in a well to do Atlanta suburb and except for the dedicated maskers that litter the sidewalks you would think that all is calm, all is bright, Problem is most of these suburbs are within a ten mile white van ride from the “underserved” areas of the city and even with the higher price of gas I’m sure the Soros-funded crowds could cover that distance in no time.

Did anyone ever stop to think, that the desired result of showing increasing numbers of black Americans who have “made it”, in the media, could be to stir up those who have not made it?

        • Islander December 6, 2021 at 2:53 pm #

          L.L. Bean catalogue:

Faked up black family of dad, mom, and son, all grinning fanatically around a traditional Maine Christmas tree, all dressed up in Maine Woods tartans . . . Ridiciulous.

Come to think of it, I think it is the only “family scene” (Black Nativity) in the catalogue. Now, why not a daughter instead of a son? I am feeling a surge of woke indignation coming on.

The future tension between various statist/socialist types and individualist/libertarians wii only increase incrementally greater as the techno-industrial economy declines. It should give us a clearer set of competing visions. Greater and larger state power on one hand, or decentralized and smaller scale on the other.
Much of the internal conflict will revolve around these and other similar themes.

This ‘Mass Formation Psychosis’ theory offered by Professor Desmet appears to be an updated version of Charles Mackay’s “Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds”. It helps explain the constant flogging of EVs in media, and the 1.5°C mandate Climate Change moguls like Captain Planet (John Kerry) Gina McCarthy are using to justify dismantling our national grid, which, once it is gone, will never be restored.

    • Jarek December 6, 2021 at 10:19 am #

I want you to stop being subhuman and become ‘yourself’. ‘Yourself,’ I say. Not the newspaper you read, not your vicious neighbor’s opinion, but ‘yourself.’ I know, and you don’t, what you really are deep down. Deep down, you are what a deer, your God, your poet, or your philosopher is. But you think you’re a member of the VFW, your bowling club, or the Ku Klux Klan, and because you think so, you behave as you do. This too was told you long ago, by Heinrich Mann in Germany, by Upton Sinclair and John Dos Passos in the United States. But you recognized neither Mann nor Sinclair. You recognize only the heavyweight champion and Al Capone. If given your choice between a library and a fight, you’ll undoubtedly go to the fight.”
? Wilhelm Reich, Listen, Little Man!

You are excluded from this. You don’t recognize his false distinction, going to both fights and libraries. But if one had to choose, the fight would be better because fighting is the Foundation. As Mao said, the rifle must never slip from the hand of the Party. This is true for all parties, nations, peoples, and individuals.

By some unknown twist of fate orange hair was elected as the powers that be made sure he was, there was no fluke in this as those too close to call states all went to Trump Pa. Mich. Wis. Fla. which could have been flipped into the Clinton camp, and perhaps in reality that’s where some belonged but were switched to the Trump banner.

It’s hard to beat the odds, which Trump didn’t do without a lot of help but then again it was just another corrupt election that America is noted for along with the murder of its sitting presidents and there has been more than one or those who preach peace in a country born into war and never left it.

Speaking of elections, after learning that behemoth that walks, otherwise known as Stacey Abrams was running for (re) election as governor of Georgia, we wake to the news that former US Senator David Purdue has thrown his hat into the ring,

Current Governor Brian Kemp immediately blamed Perdue for the border crisis, inflation and probably Covid as well. And just so the waters get muddied enough, we have Vernon Jones, a black former Democrat commissioner of Dekalb County, one of the largest ad most corrupt counties in the metro Atlanta area running as a republican. I’ve heard him speak, and he says all the right things, but will he do them?

Pretty sure Kemp is a goner. For all the good he did with the mask mandates and shut-downs, he surely shot himself in the foot by balking Trump over the election recounts.

It will be interesting to see what pans out. Whoever comes out on top in the Republican primary will hopefully have a galvanizing effect on the voters of Georgia. Stacey Abrams must not come to represent a state that, outside of a couple of metro areas, is red to the core.

@cbeard – and here we have the continuing conundrum. Choices with no choice. I also am not a huge fan of Perdue but he is surely a better choice than that good ole boy grinning Kemp, and I say that as a Southerner born and bred.

    OMG, OMG OMG!!!!

What they are not telling you America is sending Chickens to be processed…..in China!

We know they talked about it and Tyson foods is saying they are not doing it in fact they now claim they are not exporting any chicken to china at all.

    Who do we believe?

I keep seeing this common theme running of reports animals are being raised here and slaughtered in china and then processed.

It seems insane to ship animals all that way kill them and process them and then ship them back.

It does not pass the common sense sniff but then so did US government funding Gain of function research even after a ban yet here we are with an obvious virus altered by man.

    • NickelthroweR December 6, 2021 at 10:06 am #

My sister and her family are commercial fishermen. The majority of the salmon that they catch is sent directly to China for processing and then shipped back to be sold here in the US.

      • benr December 6, 2021 at 11:30 am #

Yes, but they deny it is happening!
        That was my point.

They tell us the truth then retract it and say its not happening.
Or the reverse they say it’s not and then later admitted it was with a shrug and pretend it is no big deal.

Much like the Obama regime news late Friday night so it could be ignored and buried in the next week.

        • MaryMaryFullOfPride December 6, 2021 at 1:13 pm #

I don’t know about sending them there to be processed, but about five years ago, give or take a little, Tyson Foods were shipping tons of chicken to China every day for months. Straight to the port in Brunswick then by ship to china. Chicken already processed, that is.

    My summary:

Fake pandemic. Deadly experimental gene therapies intentionally mislabelled vaccines with patents going back years. Controlled corporate media using the frog-in-pot method to build hysteria as the hand-picked leaders of the WEF usher in tyranny.

That is all there is to it. The economy could continue on its current trajectory if measures were take to save it, but this is about destroying the economy using a fake virus to usher in the Great Reset and the associated control mechanisms (passes, digital currency, etc.).

Still, some just don’t get it.

By the way, they also tried it once already.

The last WHO/WEF backed takeover attempt was the Swine Flu, but it was stopped early thanks to the intrepid work of Wolfgang Wodarg.

Wodarg has no more political power, and they have shored up more positions in places of power since that time.

          • Beryl of Oyl December 6, 2021 at 12:57 pm #

There’s a real virus. The actions taken around the real virus are the hoax. As for people dying, the CDC has already admitted their numbers we way off, as most of us could see from the beginning.

People dying with positive tests that can’t determine covid are proof of nothing.

          • MaryMaryFullOfPride December 6, 2021 at 1:16 pm #

            butter 56 take your pick:

            – Had a cold or flu, doctors refused to treat it until they were too far gone (standard covid19 treatment protocol before the jab came out, as well as suppression of drugs that would have helped).

            – Were hospitalized and given Remdisivir, which causes organ failure, put on a ventilator, and killled

            – Got jabbed or double-jabbed

Seems to be how the vast majority of the deaths have happened.

          • Night Owl December 6, 2021 at 4:25 pm #

            “There’s a real virus.”

I have seen no hard proof of that.

The only thing that detects a “case” is PCR, which can’t detect a case.

        whats that?
        Is it like Deagel?

        • Amman December 6, 2021 at 11:26 am #

I don’t care what anyone says – Deagle is way too far out. If even a tenth of that happens, it’s global war.

          • anmariwakaranai December 6, 2021 at 10:31 pm #

The reason you can’t compute Deagle, is you can’t comprehend a cataclysm that takes out the eastern & western seaboard.

And, as Deagle says, “most by suicide”.

What do you think will happen when the vexxed rise from their sleep, awake and understanding the mass formation RELIGION they worshipped was Satanic?

It is quite close to what we have experienced so far.

This is a plan. They are coming for it all.

And quite honestly, they may get it.

Shit gets real when they call in the army. And they will.

          • tresho December 6, 2021 at 6:41 pm #

“when they call in the army” “They” have many other options. Shut off the grid, block the trucked in supplies, turn off the water supply. Sitting in your unlit, cold house, with no internet, no media, no cell phone, no way to contact a friend 3 miles from you unless you both have a two-way radio (and that can be blocked too) is fairly simply for a government to pull off.

          • Night Owl December 7, 2021 at 8:48 am #

No, here they are going fine us into poverty, or, if that fails, try to imprison us (rounding us up via coppers/army).

They announced it in Austria, and suggested it here in Germany.

            All consipracy though, you know.

          • Amman December 7, 2021 at 10:56 am #

If they call in the army that is tantamount to Martial Law.

Is that what that military display that CJ Hopkins says looked like a colorized version of “Triumph of the Will” was for, to give the populace a real scare?

How can Germans fail to see what’s going on? Unless they’ve always really been OK with it.

          • Islander December 7, 2021 at 4:16 pm #

            Night Owl:

What do you plan to do if Germany sticks to the current plan?

          • Night Owl December 8, 2021 at 2:17 am #

We are connected with the Basis party and are looking at options for moving further from city zones.

If they truly go for an allgemeine Impfpflicht, we are going to try and move back to the States (as long as the positive trend there continues).

Dunno how we are going to do it, as we have put down roots here. That said, Germany’s new coalition government has its ranks full of literal Nazis by another name, as well as enablers (FDP), and there is no choice.

          • Night Owl December 8, 2021 at 2:22 am #

            Amman, yes. But consider this.

Right now, millions of Germans are segregated from society. We cannot shop anywhere except a grocery or pharmacy, and we cannot even go to buy a Christmas tree this year.

We have a fanatical new government who just installed a psychopath as health minister (who has called for camps and the termination of employment for non shot-takers).

It is illegal to protest Corona measures.

            We nearly have martial law.

          • Alfred December 8, 2021 at 8:21 am #

            @Night Owl,

In my reading, people in such positions found strength, support and sanity by creating a sub-culture, or a sub-society. They trade and live among themselves rather than succumb to the totalitarian.

            NIght Owl:

I have been looking at/thinking about the potential to start a community here. Same old idea of getting a farm and “peopling” it.

Individuals cannot really do this on their own, but those who are thinking along such lines should stay in touch. I wish I could buy up a farm on my own and provide at the very least an “entry point” for those getting out of Europe. I hear that there are many who wish to do so. So ironic—I hoped to be able to relocate to Germany; I have a couple of good friends in Austria. So far the latter seems not to be registering the social and political disaster . . .

Anyhow, you might enjoy checking out some website specifically about farms for sale (“farms for sale [state name” will get you there):

It just isn’t all that contagious. I haven’t done anything different than usual, and I haven’t gotten sick either.

What I wonder is, if anyone does get sick at this point, and that includes those who were vaccinated, will it be the alleged new variant, or can one still get the Delta one?

    • Rulo Deschamps December 6, 2021 at 1:46 pm #

NO, agree with most, except there’s no “saving” the economy. Maybe saving it for 10%, tops. In the form we have known it, anyway. Infinite growth: not possible in a finite world.

Been browsing some Nat Geographics from just before covid. There’s a lot of hints there of what that 10% economy will look like: AI, living to 120, virtual reality, nanotech, robotics. The part that bothers me the most is all the hyper tech that will “feed the world.” Super complex, resource intensive computerized greenhouses and aquaponics run by robots. I say, what will the billions do, then? Wouldn’t it be better to launch a global Marshall plan to train the masses into sustainable, small farm organic agriculture, ensure they have small parcels to do it, and see what happens? Never! The solution to the damage done by tech is more tech!

The advertisers alone tell the story: investment funds, EV vehicles, big pharma. One of the issues has a full interview with Bill and Melinda: glowing admiration and praise, of course.

      • Paula D December 6, 2021 at 5:44 pm #

That takes more energy. As we discussed last week, their entire Panopticon scheme requires a boatload of electricity. And entertainment based solely on electricity, since no humans will be allowed to gather?
Growing with artificial lights in a building? Enough to feed billions?
And it’s always lettuce they show, not corn or soybeans.
Who believes that you can feed the world on lettuce grown in skyscrapers, even if you had the electricity to do so?

        • Rulo Deschamps December 7, 2021 at 7:44 pm #

          Paula, Villain,

we think alike regarding these “dreams” – nightmares in my book.

When it comes to agriculture, they hype is all about hyper complex warehouses under digitized control. Yes, no bulk production. But also, the complex interactions of permaculture and organic farming, the many, many aspects of the land that work, or don’t work, together, millenia of lore and knowledge, being “part of the world” and not “masters of the warehouse” – the goal of making agriculture, as I quote further down from yet another elite publication, “as easy as downloading an app”, is pure hubris, pure evil.

      • SmokieHillVillain December 7, 2021 at 7:19 pm #

        Spot on Rulo.
The levels of delusion of the techno-utopians are getting just a little too pointed.
Their knowledge of agriculture, or even supply chains, is myopic.
They think they can control a complex emergent system.
The techno-utopians, however, also overlap substantially with the eugenicist, populationist Malthusians.
A world where investment funds run agriculture won’t be conducive to optimal health, reproductive or otherwise. But then again, maybe that suits some of these types just fine.

        • Rulo Deschamps December 7, 2021 at 7:45 pm #

    Hi Jim,

right on with your the the Europeans have “gone out of their minds over what has turned out to be a pretty punk-ass virus — when treated early with a menu of cheaply available drugs”

Today’s WELT published an astounding article bemoaning the lack of affordable treatment medications for Covid. How do these people call themselves journalists when in front of their eyes a Munich hospital (Barmherziger Brueder) has been using the Ivermectin+ treatment so successfully?

I read through the Judge Douglas decision to stop the forced vaccinations. The most important point he made for the average citizen:

The Executive is only one of 3 branches of government. It cannot take over the role of the Legislative Branch as well – which it is trying to do when issuing “Workplace Rules”. (Especially without the standard “review and public comment period”)

    • Night Owl December 6, 2021 at 10:05 am #

Welt is the mouth of Sauron, or rather Schwab, and was cheering the announcement of Karl Lauterbach as Gesundheitsminister (this man is known for calling for camps for the unclotshoted).

The Ivermectin nonsense is a ruse. No virus has been isolated, and the PCR test cannot detect sickness.

This stupidity keeps being repeated. There is no fucking virus of note.

      • Bill of Rights December 6, 2021 at 10:15 am #

Thanks Night Owl. That makes sense now.

For the rest of the readers:

I kid you not, this guy would have been up in the Berghof with Hilter.

He is a true psychopath. Many here are amazed that they are putting him in, but I told my wife a month ago: Lauterbach will be health minister if the Corona nuts “win” the election.

It was easy to call, as anyone familiar with the psychology behind this movement knows what they are going to do next.

They will go all the way unless stopped.

Mengele, Fauci, Lauterbach, all cut from the same cloth. Corporate capitalism’s finest.

The Ponzi scheme has run out of greater fools, hence the desperate measures.

      • Islander December 7, 2021 at 7:26 pm #

I dont’ know about ivermectin is a “ruse.” I understand what you are saying but I don’t think it is valid.

Regardless of what causes covid-19 or the suite of symptoms so labeled, actual physicians have used ivermectin to treat patients, so IMO that trumps the (IMO faulty) logic behind “the SARS-CoV-2 virus doesn’t exist, ergo covid 19 doesn’t exist, ergo no treatments of covid19, such as ivermectin (and, obviously, others) exist.”

  15. Bilejones December 6, 2021 at 10:13 am #

Here’s the one true hope left for the Wokels.

Read this piece about a 71 year old dying in a hospital with the plague who recovered after a court ordered that he be allowed to be treated with Ivermectin.

The details of the length the hospital went to to prevent it are remarkable.

The hope for the left would be to stop flogging their dead horse and dismount by bringing RICO attempted murder charges against the hospital administrators and the drug companies who bribed them. Blame the whole Covid scam on Trump, see the light on the mandate, which the courts have blocked anyway, declare the moronic variant to be merely a minor flu and end any and all lock-downs and masks.
    Declare victory and walk away.
Fight the 2022 mid-terms as the Party that beat Covid.

      • Alzaebo December 6, 2021 at 2:47 pm #

        Islam, before it coalesced into ‘Islam’, was created to first kill off the Arab Christians;

        then it took over ancient Persia, claiming the Persian Conquest of Cloestes l was an “Arab conquest” (the Four Righteous Caliphs after Mohammed were Arab generals commanding mercenaries);

        After bankrupting both Byzantium (Eastern Roman Christian empire) and Persia in a war with each other, the war loan financiers went after the Catholic Western Roman Christian empire;

        (the Arianite Goths were defeated internally by Athanasians first, aided, as were genocidal Calvin’s Protestant armies, by the war loan financier’s loot);

The Trinity was a power-sharing balance-of-powers agreement between economic centers, Roman cities, Jewish traders, and Viking/Nestorians: Son, Father, Holy Ghost.

I can see the same arc developing under the UN/EU and Europe’s demographic Muslim future.
I concur, the EU will militarize.

        • Alzaebo December 6, 2021 at 3:15 pm #

          Edit: “pagan” Viking/Nestorians

Addendum: the Four Righteous Caliphs murdered Cloestes l, plunging Persia into 30 years of dynastic war. Mohammed was a relatively unknown figure who had seized the mayorship of the Meccan trade crossroads market by the old Roman copper mines at this time; his story and the collected tall tales re Old Testament characters he told to bring customers to his wife’s stall at Ramadan were magnified in the final revision of Q’uran in 333 After Hajira, by author Uvalve.

He was a minor figure as was Mao on the Long March, for a more recent example.

          • Alzaebo December 6, 2021 at 3:27 pm #

Further addendum: this long comment is simply to illustrate that religion begins as politics; one could say politics then ends as religion.

The insular world of the ruling class is swept up in a Great Awakening, a religious mania bent on Reign.

I see demographic societies as competing super-organisms. In the fight for territory, we, as witnesses, are privileged to see the big one for all the marbles, the soul of a world.

Beryl of Oyl nails it, today’s is a masterpiece.

      That isn’t true.

In Germany, for example, the Bundesverfassungsgericht could easily put a stop to it by declaring the modern version of the Enabling Act (the Infektionsschutzgesetz) against the constitution.

Instead, they just declared that all of the illegal measures taken over the past two years were ok. Right after that the new fascists here announced another lockdown for “unvaxed” only, and said a mandate is coming.

The courts are captured here and in many Euro states. The aim is to render the law impotent as the EU assumes the centralized power that is to result from the Great Reset.

I found this interesting so I looked around. All I can find is references to “Brockenschatten” or “Brockengespenst,” referring to a light phenomenon where a shadow is cast onto either fog or clouds.

Covid cultists in Saskatchewan are organizing to vaccinate kids without their parent’s permission, using a provision in the law there as their go ahead.

Canadian vaccine advocates have sparked online controversy and reportedly faced threats, after offering to give teens whose parents are against inoculation for Covid-19 a ride to a vaccination site.

The row began on Friday, after a Saskatchewan community organizer named Julian Wotherspoon posted a Twitter message offering to assist any 13- to 17-year-olds who wanted to get vaccinated despite opposition from their parents. “I’m your ride to the clinic,” she said. “If anyone asks, I’m taking you and my kids to a movie. Let’s do this.”

According to the Saskatchewan Health Authority, children aged 13 and older “who are able to understand the benefits and possible reactions” of a vaccine do not need a parent’s permission to be jabbed. Equally, teens can refuse immunization by giving “mature minor” consent to their health provider.

The authorities recommend families discuss the issue together with their children before they make the decision, however.

Wotherspoon’s tweet caused quite a stir online, eliciting both praise and outrage. She has since made her account private.

Another proponent of children’s vaccination, self-described “mommy blogger” Tenille Lafontaine, also of Saskatchewan, called Wotherspoon’s offer “amazing.” She added, “I’ve heard of a few teens getting the vaccine on their own because their parents are insane in the membrane. The kids are gonna be alright. Side note: I’m available to drive anytime.”

          • crudgemudgeon December 6, 2021 at 11:21 pm #

“He’s a global player”. Prior to Trump no one actually stood up for anything made in USA, or threatened to put tariffs on China and others. In that context, he was revolutionary, validating what we all knew to be the problem, Globalization.
He didn’t foresee the China virus, no one did, and perhaps his grandiose personality predisposed him to accept the big solution that Fauci and Pharma offered.
Remember that before Trump we had Romney (who stripped the assets of functioning American employers).
Complaining about Trump for being a Globalist is like people who criticise Jefferson for owning slaves. It misses the point by ignoring the context.

It was no accident that President Trump got saddled with the worst people in the world for that coronavirus task force.

He could have had anybody, anybody in the world, and somehow ended up with a man who is to science what Michael Avenatti is to law.

Dr. Scott Atlas, was reportedly very puzzled and consternated over the workings of that task force, and dismayed at the way the president’s own wishes were just not being carried out.

Dr. Atlas, of course, would have no way of knowing that this was yet another coup attempt. Once you accept the premise that the Deep State was involved, the pieces fall into place.

    • JohnAZ December 6, 2021 at 11:45 am #

      A real question mark??

Did Trump approve of those bogus appointments or were they Pence choices he rubber stamped? A yuge question is why did he not fire the whole bunch of them for incompetence, I fault him for that.

Were they fill in the blanks from a rigid DC bureaucracy, IOW, we were blessed with them no matter what?

      • Beryl of Oyl December 6, 2021 at 12:04 pm #

That’s a big question. I have been trying to find out those answers.

For some reason, many people do not want to understand that Dr. Fauci was not somehow ‘already there” on that task force.

I know people don’t understand civics anymore, but I don’t get how people can be so utterly dense as to not understand that the task force was a newly created thing, and nobody had a seat at the table until they were chosen.

My guess is that the president had to sign off in some manner, but I have heard that the leadership was given to Pence, who delegated to Marc Short, who delegated to Olivia Troye.

Did someone at her level, with a national security background, but no health or medical experience, come up with these names herself? Did no one else check them out?

That by itself would be grossly negligent. There is nothing in RFK’s book that wasn’t known before about Fauci. Did no one check his background?

Pence has plans to run for high office in the future. Was Ms. Troye a low-level flunky? Did he really leave it up to her, when this was allegedly a world-wide emergency?

President Trump has said he never heard of her.

        • Not_GeorgeT December 7, 2021 at 11:44 pm #

“There is nothing in RFK’s book that wasn’t known before about Fauci. Did no one check his background?”

My take so far is there really is not a lot of new info in RFK’s book. What I do see is a very well organized, highly detailed account of what has been going on with these people, like a reference book.

The enormity of evils is, at times, more than I expected. At other times, it just fits right in with people such as Fauci.

One item which caught my attention was how he mentions a comparison with what he dealt with suing the EPA to clean up the Hudson River and this whole medical tyranny racket under Fauci. The EPA was comparatively a cake walk.

      • Hereward the Woke December 6, 2021 at 1:19 pm #

The bottom line is that Trump was responsible for every decision he made, John. The buck stopped with him. He signed the EO unleashing Warp Speed. Maybe there was massive pressure on him to do so, but that still doesn’t let him off the hook.

        • Beryl of Oyl December 6, 2021 at 1:54 pm #

I agree, woke. He bears responsibility for what he’s done, but the people who lied to him are more responsible than he is.

He should admit he did wrong and say he’s sorry.

If what he had been told about the vaccines and the virus was true, Warp Speed would have been an incredible achievement.

An unstoppable killer virus, until someone pushes through a means of prevention, so the world can go back to normal?

          That would have been heroic.

          • tresho December 6, 2021 at 6:53 pm #

” There is nothing in RFK’s book that wasn’t known before about Fauci. Did no one check his background?” Few there are who could grasp the details in Fauci’s background so as to understand his evil. Note how many years Fauci has been in office and how big his budget is.

All your admiration for Trump seems to hinge on stuff he didn’t do or should have done.

What he did do, is start us on the destructive path we’re on (or continued Obama/Bush’s) and threw his supporters under the bus by calling Jan 6 an insurrection and condemning them on national TV.

The man is either a coward, incompetent, or controlled opposition.

Two absolutely must watch interviews that explain so, so much:

CJ Hopkins is a writer and satirist.

He discusses the Covidian cult to which millions of people have willingly succumbed; how it’s driven by fear and no different to totalitarianism; why being silent is a terrible idea; and what we can do to push back against the global capitalists.

Denis Rancourt is a scientist and social theorist.

He discusses the conclusions of a 170-page paper he co-authored; why the data shows no evidence of a pandemic; how the lockdowns have been killing people; and the dangers of the “vaccines”.

I am thinking about how the fact of a Norwegian cruise ship full of vaccinated passengers, nonetheless reporting a number of covid cases, fits into the mass formation concept.

Why are they even reporting this, for one thing? We already know that the Notavax does not and cannot prevent infection or transmission.

So why is it being talked about as if it’s something unexpected?
    What is the point?

    • Hereward the Woke December 6, 2021 at 1:22 pm #

Good point, Beryl. There are some strange “escapes” of anti-narrative news from time to time. Are they just the psychopaths playing with us, or genuine second thoughts from some of those involved? I don’t see how they can hide the fact much longer that it is ALL the mostly highly vaxxed nations that have the highest infection rates and deaths.

    • Paula D December 6, 2021 at 6:15 pm #

Maybe they are monitoring to see how deep the hypnosis goes.
The Branch Covidians constantly chant “This pandemic is being driven by the unvaccinated”, as the media tells them.
Clearly, a boatload of vaccinated people with covid goes against that deeply held belief.
Will there be any Covidian smart enough to make that connection?
      Our overlords want to know.

      • ianw December 6, 2021 at 8:05 pm #

The Branch Covidians constantly chant “This pandemic is being driven by the unvaccinated”, as the media tells them.

Those who accept the efficacy of vaccines don’t always get their information from mainstream media.

Here are some stats up to the end of October 2021, “Vaccination status of cases, hospitalisations, ICU and deaths” in NSW:

Cases, and serious cases, are still overwhelmingly among the unvaccinated, despite their being a minority.

For a number of cohorts, especially those over-65, vaccination is both effective, and the preferred alternative to catching Covid-19 itself.

The enduring effectiveness of the vaccines, and the frequency of booster shots, remain serious issues – I agree with that.

        • Paula D December 7, 2021 at 7:45 pm #

Oh, OK, thanks for illustrating the response. You just ignore the boatload and go to a non-enclosed area for different stats.

          • ianw December 7, 2021 at 10:12 pm #

[…] and go to a non-enclosed area for different stats.

I don’t know what a “non-enclosed area” might mean, but it’s clear those stats speak for themselves: most people presenting to hospital with severe Covid-19 infection are not vaccinated.

          • Paula D December 8, 2021 at 11:18 am #

A country with millions of people vs a ship on which no one else comes or goes, a perfect lab experiment for viral transmission in the vaccinated.
You ignored the lab experiment because it contradicts the Official Story, and picked some random country with stats that comforted you in your delusions.
I wondered what would happen when Inconvenient Truth met True Believer, and you illustrated it.

          • GreenAlba December 8, 2021 at 6:02 pm #

I expect most countries are now doing what both the US (CDC) and UK (ONS – Office of National Statistics) are now doing, which is counting people who die within 2 weeks of a jab as ‘unvaccinated’ to skew the statistics.

Their bogus argument is that the vaccines aren’t effective for two weeks so if you end up in ICU with blood clots or a heart attack within two weeks, you go in the unvaxxed column.

            Beyond evil.

          • ianw December 8, 2021 at 9:26 pm #

A country with millions of people vs a ship on which no one else comes or goes, a perfect lab experiment for viral transmission in the vaccinated.

The stats are from a state with eight million people. Just like many states everywhere. We are not talking about the transmission of the virus among the vaccinated – more that hospital / ICU / death stats are overwhelmingly among the unvaxxed.

          • ianw December 8, 2021 at 11:37 pm #

Even with or without that fudge, the stats are still overwhelming – those who are serious enough for hospitalisation – or worse – are overwhelmingly pro rate the unvaccinated.

    • Bilejones December 6, 2021 at 10:58 am #

I like this explanation as to why Newsom went to Mexico:

I’ve seen a few reports about him exhibiting the face paralysis that’s a feature of Guillane-Barre Syndrome brought about by his last booster shot.

It amuses me no end that the reason Moderna, who has never brought an FDA approved drug to market, started looking at vaccines was that their RMNA technology had side effects that multiplied almost exponentially with subsequent doses. Vaccines were, of course, supposed to be one and done with it Now it’s one every few months until it is done with you.

    Happy Monday everyone!

First. A strawman, all you hide bounds can go to the next post now.

The vaccine works! For about 3 to 6 months, then, depending on the individual’s ability to destroy its own antibodies, it rapidly disappears, paving the road for the next infection. The actual virus has the same effect.

Unproven is the destruction of the s protein per the models. As s proteins are inflammatory, that is what they are supposed to be, they will raise the inflammatory response of the entire body. S proteins and the Covid virus may have exactly the same response in the host. Nice!
    Hence the engorged VAERs reports.

In Outbreak, Donald Sutherland played a SOB general who would destroy an entire city, rather than give up a potent bio weapon. Wonder if that is what is going on here. Is Bill Gates et al really trying to reduce the population with this weak virus, or is Covid just a step up in the progress to an effective population limiter. .???

Omicron is a success story for the virus, how to exist, replicate, survive without killing its host. As of yesterday, not a single death from Omicron. Omicron may initiate the reduction of the fear level of Covid to the level of the flu or a cold. IOW, it slips from pandemic to endemic.

So, a month from now, I fully expect Fauci et al to announce that the panic is over and life can go back to normal, mandates lifted, the vaccines tweaked so annual shots associated with flu shots can be utilized by high risk people and others that will take the same risk as a flu shot by itself.

Uh-huh! When pigs fly, the Left will fight this with every weapon in their armory.

All New York City employers will have to mandate Covid-19 vaccinations for their workers under new rules announced Monday by the mayor, Bill de Blasio.

The vaccine mandate for private businesses will take effect on 22 December and is aimed at preventing a spike in Covid-19 infections during the holiday season and the colder months, the Democratic mayor said on MSNBC’s Morning Joe.

JHK, this was one of the best defenses of Trump I have seen. You mentioned the advent of Covid awareness at the same time as the second impeachment.

What would have happened if Trump would have taken control of the Covid response totally instead of throwing the ball over the fence to Pence, the Deep Stater? We will never know. We do know what a catastrophe for the country the Pence, Fauci, Birx connection was.

Question. Pence, the Deep Stater, was able to undercut support for Trump at critical junctures, the Covid onset and Jan 6 as two of the most visible. Sounds like a hidden shill for the RINO left to me?

The president’s Chief of Staff, who bore ultimate responsibility for overseeing those working for the president, also had some nasty remarks based around January 6 on his way out the door.

He influenced the president not to rid himself of Fauci.

Mick Mulvaney and Mike Pence are both either guilty of gross dereliction of duty, or they were in on the plot.

I would think that perhaps Mulvaney was just exhibiting political cowardice, as Peter Navarro called it, if it were not for his bringing up January 6 as his reason for leaving.

Volcanoes cause increasing CO2. Can increasing CO2 and methane cause volcanoes?

Look at the Pacific Ring of Fire, moving constantly, volcanoes, earthquakes.

Africa is trying to over run Europe, the continents that is. The Med has its own Ring of Fire, Etna. Stromboli, Vesuvius being examples.

Even hot spots like Hawaii, La Palma or Yellowstone seem to be on the move right now.

What forces can shift the lithosphere enough to increase earthquakes or volcanoes? Look deep in the mantle core complex and mantle currents, in other words Gaia changes we have no control over, sorta like Climate Change.

It’s funny to read a stream of comments by people complaining about stupid, shallow thinking who continually refer to the Democratic Party and the MSM as the “Left”. Pay attention niblets. The MSM has dutifully provided excuses for every war in the last 70 years, every one of them a bald-faced lie. And add to the Amen-chorus of the 1%ers’ war on socialist breakaway nations (Illegal sanctions, coups, covert wars, economic sabotage, et al) How, I wonder, is this a “left” position? Sounds like something war-mongering 1%ers wanted, huh? And the “Democrats” (sic), too? The #1 Resistance to a non-Rip-off Medical System! Who repeatedly lavish the Pentagon with MORE money than the US military establishment even wants, for gingerbread weapon systems designed to enrich the MIC. Who’ve invaded and abused poorer countries, murdered their citizens (Biden wasn’t in office 1 month before mass-murdering 22 Syrian service men in their OWN COUNTRY!) Competent analysis doesn’t arise from idiot, unexamined gut-feelings. There’s a new entity emerging, Jimmy Dore, Matt Taibbi, the Grayzone and more… who are as pissed at the world’s Rachel Madcows as you (justifiably) are. Oh yeah, please note that the terms “communist” and “Marxist” have actual meanings… that are not synonymous with “pooty-head”.

    • Jarek December 6, 2021 at 11:40 am #

They’re working up to the mass murder of Communism. Move on dot com. Or Ted Kennedy’s “the journey never ends”. Ever Leftward! As Commander Rockwell said, Liberalism is Communism’s pimping little sister.

You can’t define it? True – it’s always morphing and moving. But it does have a destination. That the destination is a disaster and itself an illusion may be something that’s beyond you right now.

      • rudyspeaks December 6, 2021 at 11:57 am #

Thanks for the comment. I’m trying to re-arrange the words of your post so they make some sort of sense.

        • Jarek December 6, 2021 at 12:08 pm #

The words have changed meaning, have they not? A Liberal in the 50’s would now be considered far Right. Liberalism has moved to the Left and now in the person of say, AOC, is full fledged Communist.

And “Conservatives” have become increasingly just supporters of Plutocracy and the Deep State – just like the Leftists. The full system will have aspects of both Capitalism/Communism (one system, heads and tails). They get the money and we get the Communism. I’m not sure how much “capitalism” will be left, but the Elite will have all the money and the middle class will be gone.

          • messianicdruid December 6, 2021 at 2:19 pm #

Reds used to be commies, so I guess a switch was needed.

          • rudyspeaks December 7, 2021 at 9:37 am #

So, yesterday I wrote a post complaining that people commenting on this thread were using words promiscuously. This made their posts unintelligible, the single most obvious disconnect being the use of “left” to identify corporate centrists (the “Democratic Party” & the MSM). I even added (redundantly I thought!) that their allusions to Marxism or communism betrayed a shallow, non-specific understanding…the terms being little more than generalized epithets (like, “jerk” or “loser”), the meaning an uneducated child might make. This AM, I find the reaction: More of the same! So, for your entertainment, “AOC is a full-fledged communist” (Really?! In what way?) and, my fave, “[Elites] get the money and we get the Communism”. WHAT THE FUCK was that bit of word salad trying to convey? Does that mean workers will end up seizing factories and running them? Or is one more ILLITERATE confusing “communism” with “repression”? As though Allende’s Chile was more oppressive than [capitalist] Iran under the Shah? Feel free to add any observations about this. I’m fucking baffled!

          • Jarek December 7, 2021 at 10:47 pm #

AOC isn’t a Communist? Oh, because she doesn’t call herself one? Ok, thanks dummy!

The Left and its political arm, the Democratic Party have always supported war: Ever heard of Wilson? FDR? LBJ?

War has always been a mechanism for expanding the reach of government and crushing freedom; key hallmarks of the Left.

      • rudyspeaks December 7, 2021 at 9:46 am #

Jesus! Did you bother to read my post? “The Left and its political arm, the Democratic Party”…. WTF has the Democratic party done to claim its inclusion as part of the “Left”? They “couped” Honduras when its president tried to institute minor land reform! Militated the entire party apparatus to stop Sanders from freeing us from a Medical RACKET! Kept the pro-Billionaire tax structure! Pathetically uneducated, virtually illiterate Americans think like Humpty-Dumpty! “Words mean what I want them to mean when I say them and nothing else”! Holy Shit! Was your post meant top be humorous? You (I can’t fucking BELIEVE this!) equate “communism” with Schwab, a Big Money [read: “Capitalist”] spokesman! WTF “communist correlation” am I likely to see coming from the plutocrats of the Anglo-American banking system? Do you know even what effing century Marx lived in? He HATED these capitalists… YOU equate them with “communists”! OK, I’m guessing you listen to a lot of AM radio? Info Wars? If you learned the first thing about Karl Marx/communism you’d be embarrassed to tears by your idiot post! PS: Jarek’s shallow croak about “changing meanings” doesn’t justify the wholesale abandonment of consensual understanding… my central point was that “left” DOES have a meaning or he wouldn’t be using the damned word! As I (sagely) observed, right-wing twits confuse the words “communist” and “repression”.

“an Amish country existence” I remember seeing free-standing pay phones along the Amish country roads when pay phones were disappearing from the rest of the American experience. Then when cell phones started to be used, there were rumors of Amish farmers keeping their cell phones in the barn, under bales of hay, along with the 12 V lead acid batteries needed to keep them charged. A network of non-Amish owners/drivers of ICE vehicles was on call for needed transport to various places.
I once took the ferry from the mainland to Nantucket and encountered 20 Amish of all ages taking the ride with me. The fast food franchises in the area towns had hitching posts and parking spots reserved for horse buggies. Often Amish I met on the streets smelled of the kerosene they used at home to support their “country existence”.

I had a few childhood friends that didn’t come back from Vietnam.

Great table top discussion this morning after the download from you Mr Kunstler. Great and funny and right on the target, could be time to dig in and roll up ones sleeves, I look forward to the cluster news as we call it here. I don’t believe any thing on the internet thats got naked girls in it.

So Cluster fits right in to our reading rituals. Just finished Don Quixote.
How many have read it on here. Someone mentioned it earlier a few weeks ago. What about all the Russian authors? Dostoevsky, Tolstoy.

When I was a kid in Eastern Ohio, a neighbor of ours used to hunt Coon. As they called it. (Raccoon I believe) They relocated (for work in the factory) (Carlon Plastics) (abs pipe) from Kentucky and most of my relatives were form WV. My dad was a Scotsman who jumped ship in Pittsburg. And married my mom. 7 children, I”m in the middle.
    Who cares?

When we moved to Fresno in 67’, I was 12.
I picked peaches on ave 7 in Madera with the Mexicans and Okies. Mostly Mexicans. Migrants like us.
    Who cares?

Fast forward to today. I live in a million dollar condo and my next door neighbor’ that farmer’s son who inherited that 140 acre vineyard just died of cancer. A great friend and all.
We also have a small hobby farm in Yosemite West . Again
    Who cares?

When Jim performed a Ted Talk in Monterey in 08’, I chanced to view it on you tube and was astounded by his lucid view of the landscape and architecture. The walk-about community. That was 11 years ago. I have followed him since I got a computer. I’m a carpenter 50 years.

I purchased all the books I could and Geography to Nowhere, and Long Emergency are really educational.

He described, the lived experience that I lived to the tee. Like He had a crystal ball and vision, prophetic.

So if anyone on this forum hasn’t read all of Jims works WMBH included, I would recommend them since they have a lot of real information thats pertinent to this shit-show we are in.

It’s really about application, scale, when anything gets to big it gets unmanageable pretty quickly. Anything. This system we are in is all driven by the search to figure out how to navigate what we have created the Oroboris. The snake eating itself. It doesn’t feed the snake.

Thanks Mr. K, I’ve been reading your blog for years and this really is a nice summary. The question I always ponder is what percentage of us are not in this trance. 40%, maybe 50%? It seems like enough people to push back on this nonsense. I googled once that the Jews in WW2 Germany were approximately 1% of the German population maybe. Anyway, it was a pretty small number of people to demonize. By contrast, the Great American Redneck/deplorable is a considerably larger percentage of people and a pretty high percentage of us are armed and will remain so until death do us part.

I wouldn’t read too much into it. Longitudinal studies using the same people have a very long history. Research into the health of children over their first five years sounds like a reasonable investment.

    The god that failed

How to open the eyes of anyone who still thinks Covid vaccines are working as promised

    Alex Berenson

    • ianw December 6, 2021 at 9:24 pm #

UK figures (to October 2021) are still showing that the number of cases requiring hospitalisation, or causing death, are overwhelmingly among the unvaccinated – despite the unvaxxed being a minority.

      Link: https://www.cnbc.com/2021/10/22/4-charts-show-how-covid-vaccines-are-working-in-the-uk-.html

      One stat:

For every 100,000 unvaccinated people between the age of 60 and 69 in England, 20 passed away after contracting the virus. Among vaccinated people of the same age group, that number dropped to 4 per 100,000. In people aged 70 to 79, 47 in every 100,000 unvaccinated people died after catching Covid, and in over-80s the rate of death among the unvaccinated was 128 per 100,000.

It seems to be the case still – as it always has been – that the risks from the vaccines are far smaller than the consequences of catching Covid-19.

    • ianw December 6, 2021 at 9:38 pm #

      From the Berenson blog:

And let’s say the folks you’re talking to are not crazy vaccine fanatics who think the only problem with Australia’s interment camps is that they don’t go far enough.

It’s interesting how these myths and memes circulate around the ecosystem, and are repeated as if fact.

Just to reiterate – there are no internment camps in Australia … the country as a whole, and its individual states & territories, have not descended into totalitarianism and tyranny – despite the best efforts of some to make such a claim.

There is one quarantine facility (Howard Springs, Darwin) a former LNG worker village with accomm for 2,000, that has been successfully re-purposed, and which has hosted thousands of people for their 14-day isolation.

There is another small facility in Alice Springs, also in the Northern Territory. Both of these are vital in reducing the threat in vulnerable Aboriginal communities of uncontrolled Covid-19.

I don’t know what is occurring in Alaska and remote Canada, but I would assume similar medical interventions are warranted, and occurring.

Great synopsis. We are well and truly up Shit Creek. The problem remains, however, that there are too many of us for the remaining resources of the Earth to provide for.

Excellent article today, James! Great overview of the history of our incredibly epic clusterfuck madness.

The masses hypnotized by the bobbing of Madcow’s adam’s apple – hilarious.

So, do many CFNers think that the covid19 ‘pandemic’ or the hoax itself will just go away? I don’t. I think it will morph into climate change lockdowns or some other reason for continuing the war on the populace. And it is war.

They were just breaking us in! Now we self-mask even when they don’t tell us to. Many vaxxed without being told or even checking to see what’s in it or researching it.

I am heartily hoping that these sorts of people aren’t the majority but I fear they are.

I still maintain that Trump is/was controlled opposition. As I responded to Beryl above, he is still out there shilling for the vaccines, and I heard an interview the other day where he was bragging about the success of Operation Warp Speed. So he’s proud of getting the poison clotshot into arms as quickly as humanly possible. He was also stupid enough in the interview to brag about how fast they created the vaccines, which is beyond ignorant given everyone who understands how vaccines are made knows that trials last a minimum of 5 years and most are more like 10. And ,no, you can’t rush a trial. Use this analogy, 10 pregnant women will still each take 9 months to give birth. Same with clinical trials. Each person has to go through a process that takes years, to study the efficacy or dangers. It doesn’t matter how LARGE your trial is – although a large trial would actually tack more years onto the study. Because people would come and go and when that happens you have to replace them and start over in many cases.

It’s not rocket science to understand how clinical trials work, and why whatever system they’re using for this experimental jab rollout is as unscientific as it gets.

With regards to the hoax itself, if covid19 does fade and no one is held responsible, then we’re in huge trouble. Heads will have to roll, or they will just return with a new scheme.

    • Paula D December 6, 2021 at 1:39 pm #

You are right, Mary, both about the majority being stupid and that clinical trials take years.
I have had run-ins with the stupid who insist that the trials are over, because millions have taken the vax. As you say, all that means is that this is the Biggest Trial Ever.
As it turns out, they fudge all clinical trials, removing those who had adverse side effects such as death. They call those people “lost to follow-up”.
There are a shitload of people lost to follow-up in this trial, and it’s only been a year. It takes experience professionals to carry on as if nothing is happening, but they’ve had practice.
And of course, the media helps.

      • MaryMaryFullOfPride December 6, 2021 at 9:47 pm #

I could list 1000 ways in which this public trial is beyond fucked up. And that’s after just after speaking with a friend who runs clinical trials for a living.

No follow up, no records of effects, etc. And they are trying to get rid of the control group. They did get rid of the preliminary control group.

Total war crime as they are experimenting on the public mostly without its knowledge.

There are two types of people:

    – those who uncritically treat water, light, heat, and of course gasoline as some kind of permanent state of affairs, a baseline of progress that defines us as humans, while completely lacking any knowledge of how any of it actually works;

    – those who do understand the truth

There was a good point upstream about focusing on the future, rather than fighting the past. That includes cutting ties to any doomed to be left behind. Why waste precious resources, time and/or energy on anything representing a threat to your survival?

We know what is going to happen. Was the Arc just another metaphor for the same patterns that repeat in historical cycles? In this case, raise the drawbridge and forget the losers. They’re already dead, they just don’t know it.

All 8b are caught in the same trap. If you control the banks, media and governments, does it actually provide an advantage? How does that work?

You can still get food, security staff will still work for pay, your tools and toys can still get parts, while maintenance staff will keep everything running?

Or does the advantage lay with the viet cong, the taliban, anyone who can survive on very little?

“… the disgraceful mindfuckery that Western Civ has fallen for in our time, promulgated by a thinking class that descended into abject madness.”

How do you convince a crazy person that they are in fact… crazy? You don’t. You can’t. Why? BECAUSE THEY ARE CRAZY.

The Bible famously speaks of a time when the World would be caught in a ‘strong delusion’. Regardless of one’s thoughts about the Bible and such matters, is there any doubt that the writer of this absolutely nailed it in describing our current times? Not to mention another hit: That Mark-of-the-Beast thing that is getting its grip around our necks.

Much of the World is lost in a dense fog and shows no interest of ever getting out of it. In fact, they seem to find joy in making the fog denser and leading others into their hopeless darkness of egotistical ignorance and willful leading of others down into the abyss.

“The angst in America was well established by 2016.”

The angst began in 1913 but people didn’t realize it yet. It deepened further in World War 2 and was then temporary obscured by fake prosperity from post-war ruins exploited by The Indispensable Nation.

But the angst from which this Nation has never recovered hit in November of 1963. America has suffered from PTSD since 1963 and instead of getting better it has suffered further traumatic events to deepen the sense of dread and loss and hopelessness. Events like the boring 1970s and Watergate. Then the emergence of the Clinton maladies. Then the 2000 election not settled by We the People but as declared by a bunch of people in robes behind closed doors.

And then, the big one: Nine Effing Eleven. The kill shot. The finisher. We’ve all just been drifting in a haze since then. With the noose getting ever tighter.

The Covid Con is just the cherry-on-top of a slow ongoing National suicide. It is an insult to one’s health and sensibilities. It is a wrecking ball to what might remain of our Nation and its battered people.

And Wokeism? It’s like someone who feels dirty inside and goes into the shower and endlessly rubs their skin hoping that somehow they will feel clean again. But they can’t do it that way. Wokeism is a feeling for those who possess this derangement that they feel dirty inside and hope to feel clean by erasing all the external things they choose to demonize in a futile attempt to feel better inside. But they could erase all those personally offensive things and they would still remain filthy.

Like the old plate-spinner guys on the Ed Sullivan Show of the 1960s… there are many plates being spun in our midst by The Handlers that are damn close to shattering on the ground and splattering all over us. The plates are beginning to wobble… The audience is looking on with widening eyes and looks of horror… and the plate-spinners are rushing feverishly from plate to plate knowing that soon there will be much noise and broken pieces of lives and dreams shattering all over the World floor.

We are all on a deranged amusement park ride that we did not want to buy tickets for and that we never wanted to get strapped in for.

    • MaryMaryFullOfPride December 6, 2021 at 4:11 pm #

Well said, Roundball S. I concur. I wonder how much longer the plates will be wobbling in the air before it all comes crashing down. It might be crashing down at this moment… we just haven’t seen the results yet.

Nailed it, with an addendum, next up war, untreatable disease, a real one this time, world wide cataclysms, crop failures, contaminated water.

War, disease, famine, plague. You can die by these, or you can prep now, mainly spiritually.

If you do both preps Spiritual being primary, you can stay hidden.

SOCRATES, you might wanna look at this,

Remarkably, the Orthodox Saint Paisios, who died in 1994, wrote of this before his death:

…now a vaccine has been developed to combat a new disease, which will be obligatory and those taking it will be marked… Later on, anyone who is not marked with the number 666 will not be able to either buy or sell, to get a loan, to get a job, and so forth. My thinking tells me that this is the system through which the Antichrist has chosen to take over the whole world, and people who are not part of this system won’t be able to find work and so on — whether black or white or red; in other words, everyone he will take over through an economic system that controls the global economy, and only those who have accepted the seal, the mark of the number 666, will be able to participate in business dealings. —Elder Paisios — The Signs of the Times, p.204, Holy Monastery of Mount Athos / Distributed by AtHOS; 1st edition, January 1, 2012; cf. countdowntothekingdom.com

Go there. Do the work. We need you here for the new beginning.

      • Socrates-Detroit December 9, 2021 at 10:26 pm #

Unfortunately, I am not as knowledgeable about St. Paiisios as I would like to be.

He is a modern Orthodox Saint, canonized in the 1990s. He had a gift for prophecy. He served in the (Greek) Army Signal Corps, and since his prophetic visions are a gift from God, he is called “God’s radio man”.

He obviously left a deep impression, since he was canonized shortly after his death.

I have not done my due diligence–much of what I know about him and his prophecies consist of accounts given by others who knew him (or knew of him). I have skimmed some of their accounts, and listened to some on youtube.

Before the pandemic, his prophecies about Greece were of interest. I’ve read that he predicted that Greece would suffer, but survive. This has come true–Greece has suffered economically, and unfairly IMO, due to it’s huge debts since 2011. Other European nations have huge debts, but the Greeks were hammered, to save the “paper” that German and French institutions held, and the real Greek economy was hammered.

Paiisios warned about troubles with Turkey over “hexa-mila”. Many Greeks looked for villages with that name: “six apples”. But it is pronounce, in spoken Greek, like “six miles”. That is half the 12-mile limit for territorial waters, which Turkey has threatened war over.

Paiisios predicted that modern Turkey will disintegrate (but not necessarily that Greece will benefit from this most welcome development), with the “Turks” confined to the high plateau with Ankara as the capital, the Kurds finally breaking away, and some new arrangement for the majority of (modern) Turks who inhabit the coastal periphery of Turkey (from which, BTW, the Greeks were expelled or killed, during the course of the past 1000 years, with 1922 being the biggest and last expulsion). Given the cult-like attitudes regarding the COVID shot in the Western World, is it so far-fetched that the Western-facing Turks of Turkey (who dislike Erdogan) might conjure up some new identity for themselves, or some one else might do it for them?

But of most interest in this space, Paiisios warned of difficult times and advised Christians to make their homes in rural Greece, before the tribulation hits, with a few goats, chickens, a garden for vegetables–he sounded very much like a small-scale, sustainable, balanced farm, because people would need to be self-sufficient, or they would not survive.

I have also heard he said that “when the time comes, for people to accept the mark”, “the Europeans like to be civilized. They will not use force to get compliance; they won’t “brand” you; they will pitch the mark as a convenience, a benefit, and the people will seek it out eagerly and get it on their own. That is the Western way”, Paiisios said. Then, the non-compliant will be shut out, unable to buy and sell. This is why Paiisios called on Christians to become self-sufficient–or, to paraphrase, as some here would say, to “live off the grid”.

Today, in Greece (and probably much of Europe), if you don’t have the right QR (bar) code on your phone, or a printed copy showing proof of vax, or negative test result, you cannot enter a business to buy or sell. Who doesn’t have their smartphone on them 24/7 today? The QR code is generated by linking your Social Security number with the clinic where the shot or test was administered. This is in Greece, the least wealthy of the 10 (pre-USSR implosion) EU nations. If the law changes on Monday, as it did on Monday, Nov 22, the test code that was acceptable on Sunday is not longer accepted Monday (this actually happened. I was there. Starting that Monday, negative test is not longer sufficient to go to gym, movies, or certain stores). That’s how easy it is–now. We all carry our phones, it’s just one small app to have the code, and one small app for a waitress to check your code with her phone–she either gets a green APPROVED check mark, or a RED INVALID X, and the app ties it all together….

If the shots contain luciferase, or some other agent, as some assert, a reader at the door could just scan your forehead or arm and determine if you got the shot. Maybe a future booster will contain some such agent (if the current shots do not).

      • Socrates-Detroit December 10, 2021 at 12:13 am #

        I erred.

According to this link, Paiisiios predicted that Greece would benefit from Turkey’s destruction and implosion.

Greece itself will not destroy Turkey.

Turkish provocations to Greece over the continental shelf (6 miles or 12 miles of sea from coast) will cause Greece difficulties and lead to more economic hardship for Greece, but not a hot war between Turkey and Greece.

Shortly after this, Russia will destroy Turkey–not to help the Greeks, but for their own purposes. Turkey will fall like a house of cards.

Greece will be “given” Constantinople by the West, because it will serve Anglo-American interests, but this will be good for Greece.

As Turkey implodes, England, France, Italy, and 6-7 other EU countries will also send troops to fight, to try to grab the “lion’s share” of the spoils of Turkey.

Greece will not participate in the invasion–Greece will defend Greece’s borders. Which will be a blessing because all the European countries involved in the Turkish conflagration will suffer a big catastrophe.

“All this will take place when the next generation comes to rule Turkey, and the sign will be when Hagia Sophia is converted to a mosque (it was in July 2020), and finally, when the Greek and Turkish ambassadors are recalled—Greeks will need to pray “By the intercession of the God-bearing Virgin, Savior, save us!”

Erdogan is the “next generation” and has ruled for two decades. In July 2020, Turkey began using Hagia Sophia as a mosque. There have been, and are, constant tensions over mineral/drilling rights in the Aegean. Every day is one small miscalculation from a Greek or Turkish warship or aircraft firing at the other and starting a war.

After vanquishing Turkey, Russia will continue to the Persian Gulf, and Russian troops will stop outside Jerusalem.

The West will then give Russia a deadline of 6 months to withdraw.

As it become clear Russia will not withdraw, the West (US and Europe, or Europe and the US) will concentrate their forces. A world war will break out, the Russians will be vanquished, and “great cities will become shanty towns”. (Interestingly, it says “great cities…”, not “great Russian cities”…)

Greece will not take part in the global world war.

I’ve done my best to summarize the link. It is not all linear.

And, as with biblical prophecy, there seem to be several missing pieces of the puzzle. Perhaps they are found in other places.

The notion of the Russians attacking Israel has been expressed by biblical scholars of other Christian denominations also.

Here is the link, in Greek

    @OG and disaffected

At 1:10 am in the wee hours last night I reported:

“I went back to my spreadsheet, tried it (the ABS formula) and it worked like a charm. Thanks”

I am now having another problem summing the numbers in a column and taking an average of the numbers in a column.

I’ll explain more thoroughly probably later today.

No problem Q. Expert tip on sums: Insert a row at the TOP of your sheet above your column title title row, freeze panes on the row below your title row, then do you sums or subtotals (usually combined with filters) in the top row. That way the totals are always easily visible as you scroll around the sheet and you don’t run into conflicts of sums summing sums when they’re buried in the data itself. I try to explain this to the accountant egg-heads I work with who are addicted to proper accounting form, where sums are always at the bottom, and they never seem to get it. Also, I always try to treat Excel sheets like data tables and use Pivot Tables in a separate sheet (or even file in large applications) for summaries. Much more flexible, easy to manipulate, and more likely to maintain data integrity from wandering fat fingers.

      • ianw December 6, 2021 at 4:01 pm #

I agree Dis – totals at the top locked into freeze frames, and the use of pivot tables, are both very helpful suggestions.

    • ianw December 6, 2021 at 2:14 pm #

I am now having another problem summing the numbers in a column and taking an average of the numbers in a column.

      In Excel

summing numbers in a column =SUM(A1:A20)

average of numbers in a column =AVERAGE(A1:A20)

      • O.G. Hawkins December 6, 2021 at 3:38 pm #

We finally agree on something, Ian.

        • ianw December 6, 2021 at 4:03 pm #

I’d rather discuss the entrails of Excel than Covid or politics, I expect!

      • Q. Shtik December 6, 2021 at 10:32 pm #

To OG, ianw and disaffected: all problems resolved. I have specific columns and cells to place my Sum and Average numbers (not up top as you suggested although I understand your rationale for doing so) and I also don’t need a Pivot table for my purposes.

I’m working with 17 years of daily stock data (DJIA and Nasdaq) in approx 4300 rows. I hope to demonstrate to Tate and others (if they actually give a shit) that the “markets” are not “insane.”

        Thanks for your help.

I assume from your rude remark that you will have no interest in the findings of the study I have just begun. That will be your loss. Too bad, you might have learned something.

          • anmariwakaranai December 7, 2021 at 8:34 pm #

Yes. I plug my nose n swallow. 😉

          • Tate December 8, 2021 at 11:06 am #

You’ve begun a “study” but are you qualified as a financial analyst? I don’t mean your accounting / auditing skills? Have you read Benjamin Graham?

          • Tate December 8, 2021 at 5:00 pm #

If I want to know what time it is, my first thought is to ask someone for the time or look for a clock, not try to build one. There are hundreds of finance guys with genius IQs who have devoted their careers to studying the stock market. I’m going to trust a few of those guys over some anonymous guy on a comment board who tells me he’s going to construct a spreadsheet to demonstrate prices are not insane. Of course, I would look at your findings.

          • Q. Shtik December 9, 2021 at 1:03 am #

are you qualified as a financial analyst? – Tate

Favorite compliment rec’d: “You write a good white paper.”*
Never got around to reading Graham (and Dodd)

            * A white paper is a report or guide that informs readers concisely about a complex issue and presents the issuing body’s philosophy on the matter. It is meant to help readers understand an issue, solve a problem, or make a decision.

        • Tate December 9, 2021 at 3:43 am #

Let me ask you a simple question, intended with all sincerity. How do you propose to demonstrate with a single spreadsheet containing 4300 rows tabulating 17 years of daily stock market data that prices currently are not insane?

If you can answer that question with a well-reasoned response then I would certainly be interested in your seeing your results.

          • Q. Shtik December 9, 2021 at 12:48 pm #

that prices currently are not insane? – Tate

Before I even consider answering your question you need to tell me what you mean by “insane.” Originally I thought you meant the high volatility was what made the markets insane. Now I’m getting the impression that what you meant is that the major market indexes are too high. If that is your contention, too high relative to what, earnings? Past earnings or future earnings?

            Define “insane.”

          • Tate December 9, 2021 at 2:22 pm #

No, I didn’t mean high volatility. I meant probable future earnings. Now will you answer my question? Or can you?

          • Q. Shtik December 9, 2021 at 4:50 pm #

I meant probable future earnings – Tate

So, let me paraphrase you: You think the markets are “insane” because in your humble opinion future earnings do not justify current stock prices.

          • Tate December 9, 2021 at 5:42 pm #

            Future estimated earnings, yes.

        • Alfred December 9, 2021 at 10:47 am #

“Markets can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent.”

          John Maynard Keynes

He said that long before the FED had the real capability of “painting the tape.”

I hope you’re not going to insist on a clinical definition of insane.

Today’s markets are fake, the order stream is fake, there is no true price discovery, there are countless derivatives that completely distort everything, the data you’re using is fake, most of the people who run these corporations are pathological liars or psychopaths, (you can tell me if that’s redundant), they print money with reckless abandon to fund their stupid ideas.

You have to be off-yer-nut to think that 17 years of daily stock data isn’t so completely fake as to render your analysis fake. I’m not impugning your math skills or spreadsheet prowess. I just think you’re starting from a false premise that the data can be trusted.

          • Tate December 9, 2021 at 11:50 am #

Well said, Alfred, although I think price discovery still tries to find a way to break through all the impediments & sometimes (rarely) does.

          • Q. Shtik December 9, 2021 at 1:30 pm #

Today’s markets are fake, – Alfred

Does this mean that there was some time in the past that markets weren’t fake? At what point did markets begin to be fake? Haha, no answer required.

What I see here is two individuals, Tate and Alfred, who have tried to make a buck in the stock market, probably by investing 401k savings and then lost their asses and now are quite bitter.

You’re like Joe sitting at the bar at my old watering hole who has been watching a boxing match on TV. The fight ends in a decision. Fighter A has defeated fighter B. Joe had his money on B through a bookie he uses. Joe declares that all fights are fixed, all but the ones where he wins his bet.

There is a great cartoon in the New Yorker magazine pg 65 (dated Dec 13th) that reminds me of you and Tate. A husband and wife are in bed. She is hugging her pillow faced away from her husband. Her expression indicates she wishes he’d shut the hell up so she could get some sleep. He is sitting stark upright, eyes wide open, mouth frowning. He says “I had that nightmare again where everyone found out I’m in my late thirties and still have no idea how the stock market works.”

            Hahahahaha, lmao.

          • Tate December 9, 2021 at 2:38 pm #

LOL, you need a clean hankie for that flop sweat? Why lash out?

            * As for me, I’ve lost some & made some over 40 years in the markets & I’ve learned a few things in the doing. If you knew anything beyond what your arrogant attitude demonstrates, you’d know it’s quite a humbling experience. But I haven’t “lost my ass” as you put it & I expect to make a few bucks before it’s all over & done with. So no, I’m not “bitter.” IOW, I haven’t sworn off putting money into it, as you seem to imply.

Now answer the question I posed above, if you can.

          • Q. Shtik December 9, 2021 at 5:13 pm #

Now answer the question I posed above, if you can. – Tate

You didn’t say whether my credentials as a Financial Analyst met your stringent requirements.

Be that as it may, do you seriously believe that I would waste my time explaining to you how I go about performing a complex study?

When I’m finished, if I think the study is worthy, I will send it to the NYT and the WSJ and see if I can get it published. The odds would be slim although I have had Letters to the Editor published in both these (and other) papers.

If successful I will inform CFN.

          • Tate December 9, 2021 at 5:48 pm #

So you refuse to divulge the methodology of your “complex” study. And then you lay down conditions under which you will allow us humble readers of CFN to see your study. Finally only if it gets published by the NYT or WSJ. Got it.

Clearly what you’re really trying to do is weasel out of your boastful claims to knowledge of the stock market.

          • Alfred December 10, 2021 at 8:49 am #

            Q. At what point did markets begin to be fake?
A1. Human nature always lends a bit of fakery to any transaction where money is involved, but I’d say it got started in earnest when the FED began open market operations.

A2. Seriously fake with the introduction of derivative securities, options, naked shorting, order spoofing. As technology advances, more ways to inject fake activity are discovered.

“Tate and Alfred, who have tried to make a buck in the stock market”

I made a quite a bit of money trading stocks, but I quit when the dot com bubble burst. I’m up for for my life, and quit when I was ahead.

Maybe you should stick to correcting people’s grammar and spelling.

Some items from The Spectator’s ‘Lunchtime Espresso’, au hasard:

Professor Sarah Gilbert, who created the AstraZeneca vaccine, warned that future pandemics could be more lethal than Covid.

Almost two-thirds of housebound Britons have not yet received a booster jab, the Telegraph reported.

The NHS backlog could rise to 13 million by the next election, according to the health consultancy LCP.

Scotland’s deputy first minister John Swinney has urged people to test for Covid more frequently, and said he takes a lateral flow every time he leaves the house.

Around one in four colds at the moment is actually Covid, according to estimates from Professor Tim Spector, founder of the Zoe Covid symptoms app.

One in eight patients hospitalised with Covid has suffered heart damage, according to an as-yet-unpublished study seen by the Telegraph.

    Great stuff, eh?

    • MaryMaryFullOfPride December 6, 2021 at 4:14 pm #

A great breakdown of the mish-mash of this thing. The waters have been muddied on purpose. The tyranny piece is just … tyranny. Nothing to do with a cold virus with a 99%+ survival rate.

      • GreenAlba December 6, 2021 at 5:03 pm #

Re the bit about the housebound, docs here have have been paid £12.73 or some such weird amount per jab, now increasing to £15. (It’s not actually a fortune when you take 50% off it for tax and national insurance).

They are now offering £30 for jabs done at home.

To me, this is primarily to normalise the idea of folks arriving at your door to vaxx you. So neighbours won’t think anything of it when it becomes involuntary.

Then it won’t just be doctors or nurses in the car.

        • MaryMaryFullOfPride December 6, 2021 at 7:35 pm #

Every single thing they do is to normalize us not having any power whatsoever over our own lives and bodies.

I always take a lateral flow (we call it “a piss” here in the U.S.) BEFORE leaving the house.

Q – Glad to hear your flow is still lateral! You’ve mentioned your age before, and after recently watching “The Kominsky Method” with Alan Arkin and Michael Douglas, I am led to believe that folks of a certain age piss in “dashes and dots”. Bully for you!

    • tresho December 6, 2021 at 7:18 pm #

“Great stuff, eh?” Nothing beats the recent news I picked up in the Daily Mail online. Primary care physicians in the NHS are now spending most of their time simply giving the jab. This prevents them from actually seeing and treating the sick. Apparently the NHS has no other options.

      • GreenAlba December 6, 2021 at 7:45 pm #

I saw that too, tresho – it was featured in UKC news!

People don’t even recognise insanity any more.

I’m at the stage where I’m almost looking forward to seeing the NHS collapse, so that ordinary people can see that they contributed to this.

But it won’t actually work like that. And the giant healthcare conglomerates that Jeremy Hunt is selling the NHS off to while most people aren’t looking are waiting in the wings, because this too was planned long before covid.

    • JohnAZ December 6, 2021 at 10:03 pm #

      One in eight heart damaged?

      Why? No data.

Why is that important? Ho Ho. What if the heart inflammation is caused by the S protein part of the virus “tickling” the immune system creating the inflammation?

If this was proved, it would substantiate stopping shooting up
      Stuff that create s proteins!

And its going to take a brutal Climate/Covid Commissar heading up an NKVD/Stasi-like Secret Police organization to enforce the law library full of Lockdown diktats … which will contain more rules and regulations than a NKorean Army field manual. Ordinary citizens will be crushed by all of it, as they already are.

Captain Planet — John Kerry — will be the first Commissar and will establish HQ at his mansion on Nantucket.

Well, they already told us that.

The SSI digital ID links with carbon scores, along with all the other stuff some of us have already listed.

It is all Agenda 2030. But we will never do half of it unless they use a fake medical emergency to get us there. It is the only thing the masses would submit to and not suspect anything sinister.

How else are you going to sell a digital control grid that locks you out or admits you to society based on a credit, carbon, and “health” score?

Who thinks that cold Joe Biden has is actually the new variant?

If masks can’t stop a cold, why do they keep pushing them.

I actually know of someone. not a child, who thought the mask she’s been wearing was going to keep her from getting a cold, and she got one anyway.

    She still doesn’t get it.

If they thought masks worked, they would have said so way before covid.

Thanks to years of “disgraceful mindfuckery” and unaccountable scientific malfeasance, such as gain of function research, western nations have entered the Gain of Fuckery Era where universities, gov, corporate media, and mega-multinational rent seekers join forces to achieve every nefarious end every moral defective ever envisioned. They will likely fall under the weight of their own incompetence but not without harming millions.

And thank you, James, for this comic genius sentence–it made me laugh out loud with genuine pleasure:

    Greetings JHK

A report on the front line in a western NYS post industrial city. Our murder record continues to climb, our mayor is gone, worked a plea deal. The hospital census is average around 105%. My department the emergency dept. continues it’s hectic frantic pace. We are all working 70 to 80 hours per week, just to pay bills( nursing aides, cleaners, transport, the kitchen folks secretaries and the techs), if you are a nurse massive bonuses, become one. We have a variety of supply shortages, but our Governor of NYS sent in the National guard to our community hospital to help. We are saved. PS Covid is real, several healthy co workers have gotten it, from mild to severe, a couple of months of recovery. The response to Covid has not been science based, see Dr Dhand or Darkhorse on Youtube. Have a good day Mr. Kunstler and buy a lottery ticket, NYC needs help.

        • tresho December 6, 2021 at 7:28 pm #

“Didn’t they fire the unvexxed?” Probably varies a lot from hospital to hospital. In CLE, both the University Hospital and the Cleveland Clinic systems cancelled their vaccine mandates a day or so after federal judge Terry A. Doughty issued his nationwide injunction against the Nov. 4 mandate by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services that required vaccines for virtually every health care worker. HCA, the 183-hospital chain, said it has now paused its requirement except in states that have their own vaccination mandates (California and Colorado). Intermountain Healthcare said that it, along with other major Utah healthcare providers, was “temporarily pausing enforcement” of the requirement “until there is clearer direction from the courts.” “In a Dec. 1 statement, the Montana Hospital Association said that the state’s hospitals have halted implementation of the federal mandate and will instead be focusing on remaining compliant with Montana state law. ” “Ballad Health, which has locations in Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina and Kentucky, reportedly issued a memo announcing it would be suspending its requirement for employees ”

We had a resident of our condo complex die recently of covid. Another resident got it this past week and had to go on a respirator. Since he has a lot of serious co-morbidities I figured he was a goner, but I learned he was taken off the respirator yesterday. In the news today, the Justice Department is suing the state of Texas over what they claim is improper redistricting. That got me to thinking: With Governor Abbott not taking any shit from the feds, Texas could try to secede from the Union. I remember how the Soviet Union collapsed in the ‘80’s. It happened so quickly I could scarcely believe it. This was a country that was our rival since I was a little boy, and poof! Gone in a minute.

Texas is a huge, influential state with a history of going their own way – they started out as a republic, then less than 30 years later seceded during the Civil War. Remembering the USSR, if Texas wants out, then surely several other states would follow, and a collapse could occur very swiftly. There’d be no revolution in the streets nor long period of civil unrest. One instant everything’s the same, then one instant later the Union breaks up.

Anyway, this idea just popped into my mind. We’ll see.

    • got___truth December 6, 2021 at 6:00 pm #

…..and that would demonstrate the governing law of self-organized criticality, in the nation-state realm.

    • ianw December 6, 2021 at 6:45 pm #

There’d be no revolution in the streets nor long period of civil unrest.

Can we be sure about that? The 2020 presidential vote in Texas was pretty close.

      US Election 2020

      Popular vote (R) 5,890,347 (D) 5,259,126
      Percentage (R) 52.06% (D) 46.48%

There would seem to be almost as many Texans who would not support secession as would. The same would be the case in many other restless states. It seems to be more a division between blue urban areas and red conservative counties, but even that is too coarse a division.

      • tresho December 6, 2021 at 7:31 pm #

“Popular vote (R) 5,890,347 (D) 5,259,126” You omitted the (Didn’t bother to vote) number, this does matter.

        • ianw December 6, 2021 at 8:10 pm #

True enough – coming from a constituency where voting is compulsory, it wasn’t a figure I considered. But I think the point is still valid – there is hardly a state where the secession idea would get enough support to occur peaceably.

Anyway – it won’t ever happen unilaterally – it would have to come from the top-down – or through some “national consensus”.

          • O.G. Hawkins December 7, 2021 at 12:33 am #

a constituency where voting is compulsory

Now that is ironic. You must vote because you are Free.

a constituency where voting is compulsory

Now that is ironic. You must vote because you are Free.

Compulsory voting is not considered a burden, or an infringement of civil liberties. It is no more an attack on freedom than say having to pay income tax, or drive on the correct side of the road, in a registered vehicle while having a driver’s licence.

Compulsory voting makes a lot of sense, and is good for society, and good for democracy. And guess what – we have impartial state and federal agencies whose job it is is to maximise the vote – the reverse of the US, where the red states try to kill participation.

Republicans know full well that a solid turnout means they lose – so they do everything possible to make voting hard and inconvenient.

And you don’t actually have to vote – you turn up, have your name marked off and receive a ballot paper. You don’t have to fill it in. You can leave it blank, write bad words, or throw it in the trash. The only thing you can’t do with it is take it out of the booth with you – every ballot has to be accounted for at the end-of-night reconciliation.

    • TaxDonkey December 6, 2021 at 8:42 pm #

      • tresho December 6, 2021 at 8:55 pm #

” the experts in our government who studied Soviet Union for a living failed” to learn that the Soviet subs the US Navy was dropping depth charges on during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, had nuclear tipped torpedoes and were fully authorized to use them as the onboard high command saw fit. This fact was only revealed after the Soviet collapse.

      • Paula D December 7, 2021 at 2:34 pm #

Because it didn’t collapse, it was destroyed. Against the wishes of overwhelming majorities of every Soviet country, by the way.
The only one it was close was Poland, at 51/49 opposed, as I recall.
They held a referendum in early 1991 and the results were that the majority of citizens in all Soviet countries wanted the alliance to remain.
But then the presidents of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus signed a document dissolving the Union, and the US moved right in to enrich the corrupt, who quickly became the oligarchs stealing most of the wealth of the USSR. Every country fell into poverty, hunger, and despair, women and children were sold into sex slavery, millions of people died, millions more emigrated to other countries, and the US sold this all to the American public as “a triumph of democracy”.
Oh, and they sold the mass die-off in Russia as “life expectancy dropped dramatically”. Cause that’s how they do.
Same as “cold weather this year will cause thousands of deaths from blood clots”.
They spin and the dumbasses fall for it.

I had the impression that Trump was just as closely tied to Wall Street as Obama was. A quick internet search revealed a few tidbits that reinforce that impression:

Gary Cohn: National Economic Council Director
Steven Mnuchin: Secretary of the Treasury
    national security adviser Dina Powell
Jay Clayton Trump’s chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission,
Sean Memon, Clayton’s deputy chief of staff, which shows that Memon previously worked for Goldman Sachs, as well as a range of other Wall Street clients, including Wells Fargo, J.P. Morgan Chase, AIG, MetLife, Ally Financial, and Deutsche Bank.

The Deep State is what you are attempting to describe. The money connections all work through connections in the bureaucracy that have been present for decades. Trump looked for people to fill roles and the only folks available were Deep State insiders.

Trump wanted to unscrew the hold the Deep State has on the US capital machine.

He failed because there are not enough people east of the Appalachians that would be on Trump’s side and go up against the machine. Until a person or a method or both come into play to break down the near unanimous Deep State, what we have witnessed for thirty years will just continue to fruition, the Uniparty socialist Amerika.

If Trump could not do it, and he was clobbered in his attempt,

      Who can??

      • JohnAZ December 6, 2021 at 10:21 pm #

BTW, one of the reasons the Deep State was scared of Trump is he knew who and what they are.

The one possibility of slowing their progress was a lame duck Trump with a less Democrat Congress. The Deep State could not allow this, no matter the cost. Hence the unanimity of the election corruption response. The Trumpers, like Gulliani were crucified by the Deep State, which does extend down into state levels.

Who was the actor who played “General Ripper”? The uncanny thing was that ninety percent of what General Ripper said appeared to make perfect sense. It was the other 10% when he starts off on the tangent about “Precious Bodily Fluids” that sent up a huge Red Flag about the leadership.

Brigadier General Jack D. Ripper is the main antagonist of the 1964 black comedy film Dr. Strangelove (or how I learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb). He was Captain Mandrake’s supervisor and the Strategic Air Command General who blamed the Russians for contaminating his “precious bodily fluids” and ruining his sexual performance and was convinced they were planning a sneak attack.

He was portrayed by the late Sterling Hayden.

I read last year that there was some very remote village in a very impoverished part of China ( Gansu Province?) in which some young amazing kid was able to pass the impossible national university entrance exam “Gao Kao” and enter a “Top University” in Beijing. Apparently, the entire village had mobilized to support him, like a College rooting for a college football or basketball team. It was very interesting as a Mass Psychology phenomenon.

“ As Dr. Finding such a target produces an intoxicating sense of communal connection, purpose, and meaning, driving actions that are often crazy and also absolutely impervious to rational debate.”

For what it’s worth, Tom Clark, I’ve had two of the Chinese shots (Sinovac) and I’m still kicking.

      Required for a visa renewal.

No afterburn. Eyes got kind of slanty but I can deal with that.

When it comes to the booster, Buster, some syringe-wielder is going to be fifty bucks richer for giving me a pass.

I am pretty sure the PRC vaccines are relatively harmless. Long live Chairman Xi and the Great People’s Revulsion.

      (How am I doin’?)

I watched a documentary talking about that.
I think it was when gay men were tricked into demanding the toxic AZT drug by telling them “There is a miracle drug that will save your life, but the evil health and safety laws are stopping you from getting it”.
And Fauci was quoted as saying that he was the only one that would talk to them, and he told them he would do his best to get the drug to them.

I read somewhere that 25% of American adults are on anti-psychotic drugs line Prozac, Xanax, etc. It probably makes people act very irrationally so that they can cope with psychologically desperate predicaments? They probably don’t even question the VAX? They probably just line up for it?

        She’s Not There!

        • Pucker December 6, 2021 at 10:32 pm #

          Scene from the movie “Deliverance”.

“Oh, she’s there alright…You git in there and can’t get out, you’re gonna wish she weren’t….”

Darpa would have been monitoring the mass experiment of use of anti-psychotic drugs like Prozac and Xanax in American society, and they would have given considerable thoughts as to how to use it for their benefit, right? That dependent, zombified 25% of the American population would give them huge leverage? Your tax dollars at work…..

        All You Zombies

        Holy Moses met the Pharaoh
Yeah, he tried to set him straight
        Looked him in the eye,
        “Let my people go!”

        Holy Moses on the mountain
        High above the golden calf
Went to get the Ten Commandments
Yeah, he’s just gonna break ’em in half!

All you zombies hide your faces,
All you people in the street,
All you sittin’ in high places,
The pieces gonna fall on you

No one ever spoke to Noah,
They all laughed at him instead
        Workin’ on his ark,
        Workin’ all by himself

        Only Noah saw it comin’,
        Forty days and forty nights,
Took his sons and daughters with him,
        Yeah, they were the Israelites!

All you zombies hide your faces,
All you people in the street,
All you sittin’ in high places,
The rain’s gonna fall on you

        Holy Father, what’s the matter?
Where have all your children gone?
        Sittin’ in the dark,
        Livin’ all by themselves,
You don’t have to hide anymore!

All you zombies show your faces,
All you people in the street,
All you sittin’ in high places,
The pieces gonna fall on you!

All you zombies show your faces,
        (I see you out there!)
All you people in the street,
        (Let’s see you!)
All you sittin in high places,
It’s all gonna fall on you!

Interesting essay again from JHK – breadth and depth, recurring themes and new insights.

There is much to agree with, but also much that finds me having a different view.

Firstly, I believe that much of the malaise in advanced economies that JHK articulates are direct functions of capitalism – possibly late capitalism. It isn’t caused be Ds or Rs, or the woke or the white supremacists, or the Deep State and George Soros, papists and masons, or even Don Lemon or Sean Hannity – it is systemic, a feature not a bug.

Marx talked at great length about the huge toll that industrial capitalism was extracting from workers so that a few became immensely rich. Not just that most people led short, brutish lives in great poverty, but they were alienated and removed from just about everything that makes being human and alive worthwhile. Even Mediaeval serfs could touch the earth and see a sunset.

But setting aside for the moment that a majority of the human beings on the planet don’t have time for ennui, angst, or big existential thoughts – they’re far too busy just trying to survive and put food on the table – it remains a first-world problem that is very real for a large number of Americans, and of course many others.

I also don’t think that mass formation psychosis is hugely different to the ideological brainwashing that has been occurring for many decades, even centuries. The role of the state (often unelected royalty), government, the military, the churches, and the media in utterly normalising the grossly unfair arrangements of every era, have been well documented by media theorists and philosophers for a very long time.

Personally I don’t think there’s a greater tendency towards totalitarianism now than previously – in fact I think it’s the reverse – there isn’t mass formation, but rather the cracking of a big social contract into a swirling mass of fractions, factions, and tribes. Few people can agree when there is so much animosity between A and B, and zero trust in just about everything … other than the shamans and high priests of their own team, who are believed fervently, and can do no wrong.

I have almost zero interest in the shenanigans inside the DC Beltway between 2016 and 2021 – I think they’re both as bad as each other, and self-interest motivates them (power, money, sex).

But I don’t believe the Deep State is in the grip of the Democrats – far from it. There are plenty of very powerful men who will do everything possible to keep Democrats from real power. There are many red states right now rigging the 2022-2024 election systems to their own advantage, under the ruse of “election security” … it’s all nonsense of course, but when you control state legislatures you decide the rules. Rigged re-districting also entrenches the powerful in perpetuity.

I’m pleased Biden won the election, since I thought Trump was crooked, incompetent, lazy, and coarse – the worst president of my lifetime who basically destroyed everything he took an interest in. But he remains unpunished for any of this, and I expect he’ll never be fitted for an orange jumpsuit.

However the worst thing he did – under instructions from Mitch McConnell and the Federalist Society – was to pack the Supreme Court with reactionaries and gave them a 6-3 super-majority. The blocking of Merrick Garland, and the appointment of Gorsuch, Kavanagh, and Amy Coney Barrett, is by far the most egregious, damaging, and dangerous act of bastardry any side of politics for a couple of generations, I reckon.

It puts the Dems well in the shade. Most of the time Democrats are playing without the ball, it seems to me. And will both sides please pension off everyone over 65?!? Buy them a life-time membership to a Trump golf course, preferably in Scotland. That would be nice.

I really did try to read the link at the start of JHK’s essay – really I did. But in the first paragraph I get this:

I came across this information about Mass-Formation and how we are being socially engineered en-masse into totalitarianism worldwide. […] the way we are being induced into this sort of Mass-Hypnosis with regards to [the] Covid-19 Plandemic.

Anyone who uses “totalitarianism worldwide” and “Plandemic” in their opening par … well you know pretty-much where the piece is headed, and I for one aren’t following.

I also love the use of “came across” (he’s not alone here) – like he found it accidentally while checking the weekend weather in Gary Indiana, or maybe booking tickets for a Nicks game.
