A tour de force > interview from Jim with Michael Rectenwald, >>I listened to every singke sentence , I took notes, i was moved forward.>>Join the legion, buckle up. the fight is ferocious. They mean to destroy us and all of our past and future
Maybe your best podcast ever, Jim;
outstanding guest and a man I am ashamed to say I had never heard of before.
Although I had been listening with interest, my interest was peaked further upon hearing him mention his early experience with admissions at Shadyside Academy. I started thinking, “Where have I heard THAT name before?” The answer hit me right away, “Pittsburgh!” I wonder if Michael ever spent any time in the “Squirrel Cage”? And then, after listening to the podcast, I did a little extra digging and learned that Michael also has a C-MU connection…….my own alma mater!
Although I don’t give much credit to my own experiences at C-MU in regards to my own intellectual development, perhaps I should reconsider. As I recall, the C-MU campus did shelter many a sarcastic and critical thinker!
That was such a good interview that I listened to it twice.
Thank you for bringing up the concept of evil. I can’t get beyond my own conclusion that there are evil forces behind the overwhelming and coordinated assault on reason, logic, science, and anything of beauty. Everything seems to be in the crosshairs of these insane Jacobins.
Also, after having worked most of my career in a women dominated industry, I agree with everything you said about the effect of women in the workplace.
Great podcast! That thing about women that you are intuiting, Mr. Kunstler, I think has to do with the fact that women are typically consensus driven, while men are mostly argumentative.
Since the beginning of time women have basically sought to keep the babies from crying and keeping things peaceful/non-argumentative. As women have enjoined civic life in far greater numbers in recent history these traits become manifest in the body politic. The upshot of this is that Consensus is Totalitarianism!
Men can be argue, fight and at their worst make war. But they can also debate and argue ideas, build and discover. It is turbulent and can make the babies cry, but the male way is a more constructive and liberating way to run society.
This so much offends the sacrosanct liberal idea that any individual can do anything, I am writing about aggregates. I am not stereotyping individuals and don’t believe in them for every particular individual. The woke mind will equivocate everything and reveal that they are empty and about nothing.
Kudos on having the cojones to make the observation about the growing prevalence of women in positions of power and influence. I’ve noticed just from looking at board members of the WEF and the big banks and big NGOs that there are a helluva lot of women at the heads of corporations and governments so this “inequality” of women in the workplace seems rather anachronistic.
Rectenwald’s experience at NYU makes me wonder why they have any paying students left at all. Thanks for introducing Rectenwald to us Jim.
In the last 20 years, the number of congresswomen has doubled — and the national debt has quadrupled.
Hadn’t come across Rectenwald before. Interesting interview. Jimbo showed some moxie bringing up women’s place in all this Not sure quadrupling of the national debt has resulted from doubling of the number of congresswomen in the last 20 years. Let’s at least wait ’til we have a woman president (Nicki Haley?) before we play that game.
Jim,
Your mic needs modulation of some sort. Your voice suffers distortion. As you begin to speak your voice is much louder than your guest. Then the mic seems to compensate after a few moments.
I’m no audio engineer, but I can tell something is not right.
We are indeed in the midst of a Neo-Jacobin revolution.
