Jacob Dreizen, a new face on the blogging scene, went to Washington as a young man, worked at a prestigious lobbying organization and briefly on Capitol Hill as well as volunteering for a successful Senate campaign.  A U.S. Army veteran, Jacob is fluent in Russian and has emerged as a leading  independent commentator on the origins of the Russia-Ukraine conflict — and the U.S. role in the conflict.  He has made a number of successful calls on global events, such as predicting fertilizer shortages months before awareness of the dynamic went mainstream, and warning as early as December 2021 that Western sanctions in response to Russia’s pending invasion of the Ukraine would boomerang back on the West. He’s written for American Thinker and American Greatness, and has been a guest on The Duran, Viva Frei, Jackson Hinckle, and Two Mikes. His own commentary can be found at www.thedreizinreport.com and his Rumble and Odysee channels.

The KunstlerCast theme music is the beautiful Two Rivers Waltz written and performed by Larry Unger.

Great conversation. I got turned on to JD from “The Duran” yt channel. Informative blog, but just dont see another round of “The Virus” or any virus being taken seriously. I would consider wearing a mask for an Ebola outbreak, but who would believe it at this point.

Fair…not what I would consider one of Jimbo’s best interviewees. Dropped a few book titles, but said he only “skimmed” The Long Emergency”. Oh well…

I’m only 16:35 into this podcast, and have shut it down. Not because the guest isn’t informed or know his subject matter, but due to his ineloquent, rambling, stumbling speaking style. There is something akin to a stutter throughout most of his commentary, for example ” and then, and then”, etc. Perhaps knowledgeable, but painful to listen to….. Too many interjections of ‘clusterfuck/fuck for my liking as well. It has it’s place, but should never be so repetitive.

He is no Dmitry Orlov. Few are.

It gives on a great appreciation of the Orlov’s and Kunstlers or this world.

Not trying to hurt anyone’s feelings, but if you listen to the podcast you hear how many times Jim tries to bring him back from ramble hinterland.

As far as the subject matter goes, I agree with everything Jim wrote in his comments today. How the West is getting away with the lies that are being printed puts everything they have ever said or will say in doubt. Thank you Jim for all that you do……

Agreed–not the best speaking style. He reminded me strongly of Mark Sleboda, another bright guy who is not so easy on the ears.

Following Jim since 2008, but never read The Long Emergency.

I’ll take a gander at his blog and see if he does better with the keyboard than the microphone. His website is beyond amateurish, though. That’s enough to keep people away.

[edit] The guest has been following Jim since 2008, but never read The Long Emergency. [/edit]

I got familiar with Jim after reading The Geography of Nowhere.

I can’t see that Dreizen has any superior knowledge than average Joe Bloggs here on the Corona Sars pandemic and bioweapon.
We have all had the condition, or many of us have, and it wasn’t so bad. We also have Ivermectin and functioning brains.
Yes yes, we know that mutants can arise, and we do know about immunology which I don’t think Dreizen really does. I didn’t think Dreizen had anything special to say about Ukraine or anything else. just more blabber. A fear merchant.

I think Dreizin is wrong when he says that 100,000 in the UK died of the swine flu.

In the film The Big Reset, it is stated that these types of numbers were projected by Neil Ferguson and his fearmongering model, but only 457 died.
Dreizin is occasionally funny, but reads better than listens. He does need to do some self-correction regarding his speaking skills. Needs to work on thinking in paragraphs.
Regarding his covid variant X prophesy, note that Dr. Michael Yeadon predicts something similar. I think. It does seem that quite a few people are dying suddenly for no good reason, but how unignorable will this trend get?
And, that is not the same thing as thousands or more dying from a new SARS-CoV-2 variant.

    Enjoyable interview. Some good points.

Dreizin’s blog. I just found it and gave it a look. What a shit show. The formatting is ridiculous. Like he puts isolated comments in big yellow blocks that seem to indicate he is quoting someone. But then you realize it is his own comment. He just wants to emphasize it. I think.

And down in the comments section it gets worse. He is in there trading insults with people left and right. It could actually be entertaining if you like that kind of thing. Kind of like Zero Hedge used to be.

But I will pass on him for now: Not ready for prime time.

    Wow, tough crowd.

I’d only add that the level of excess mortality appears set to grind on in a way that allows them to blame everything but their sacred sauce.

If something does occur where mortality skyrockets, regardless of the underlying reason, I believe we will see them circle back and double down on blaming the uninjected people.

I’ve been following Jim since picking up one of his books in a Las Vegas library while learning to use their internet in 1998 I then found Jim on a few sites like the Oil Drum and Energy Bulletin. I was pleased to see him having his own Web site and have read more of his books and attended his lecture in Cleveland, OH when he spoke at the Public Library there. I never miss his Monday & Friday essays which seem to get better and better and spot on with his great prose and humor. Being a year shorter in the tooth than Jim I can relate to our era.

I have to say this interview was Gawd awful with Jacob Dreizin. It seems Jacob was all over the map spitting out innuendos I don’t think he could explain. I think Jim was trying to give Jacob a hand up and leave it at that. Jim mostly has great interviews and I for one am grateful for Jim Kunstler a renaissance man of our times.
