Arthur Berman has been an independent oil analyst for 17 years after an earlier 20 year career with the Amoco Oil Company. He’s a regular commentator at NBC, CNN, CBC, BNN, OilPrice.com, Bloomberg, Platt’s, Financial Times, and New York Times. He is a Director of ASPO-USA (Association for the Study of Peak Oil & Gas USA). He was a Managing Director and  frequent contributor at The Oil Drum, and is an associate editor of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists Bulletin. He was past editor of the Houston Geological Society Bulletin (2004-2005) and past Vice-president of the Society (2008-2009).     A very interesting chat as usual James, thank you. Indeed one can never judge the health, value or future value of an entity or an industry based upon the amount of “investment” money that is being pumped into it anymore. “Investment” is all just a big Casino. I wonder how much money the US Government pumps into this business now through the back door anyway? Some day for sure it will be nationalized if it is not already. In the end, We The People are on the hook for everything that is Too Big, to Fail, To Big to Jail, or Too Big to Succeed. That is what we do. That is why they still keep us around.
