The defeat of Hillary, and the elevation of the vulgar Mr. Trump, loosed a fury of women against men in America that now verges on a kind of all-consuming chaos, like those western wildfires turning every product of human endeavor in the burn-path to smoke and ash. All the sorrows of our national life are assigned lately to the wicked white male patriarchy that must be defeated to usher in a satori of female sharing-and-caring.

A case in point is Sam Harris’s dialogue on his “Waking Up”(#141) podcast with Rebecca Traister of New York Magazine, author of the new book Good and Mad: The Revolutionary Power of Women’s Anger. (Click here for the Harris-Traister chat.) There is no better interlocutor of the current right-think about men and women than Ms. Traister. She puts it across as though her brain was shot out of a cannon from a graduate seminar on “Engendering the Intellectual Space” as if there are no other points at issue in our national life than the power valences between the two sexes — and, of course, even suggesting that the human mammal comprises two sexes is a punishable offense these days.

To get a sense of the true chaos behind her argument, just have a look at the cover of Good and Mad. Notice that the blood-red title stands against a gray field of the word “F*CK” (asterisk hers) repeated 120 times on a 5 X 24 grid. Deconstruct that. Is it the generative act of copulation itself that she is inveighing against? Should it be gotten rid of? Will that solve the problems of a foundering hyper-complex industrial society?

Ms. Traister might have used the word “power” five hundred times in her conversation with the excessively gallant Sam Harris. The choo-choo train of “poststructuralist” ideology that pulled into the college scene in the 1990s, when she was a student, is based on the idea that all relations between men and women — and all human endeavor, for that matter — come down to questions of who has power over whom. The result, naturally enough, has been an escalating power struggle between men and women that has the potential to tear this society apart.

It has already damaged our understanding of what men and women are supposed to be, and the outcome so far is that men are not sufficiently female and vice-versa. Thus the consecration of “transgender, intersex, non-binary, gender-nonconforming” states of being as heroic, and the demonizing cries of “toxic masculinity” ringing through the ivory towers, the halls of congress, and the corporate C-suites.

Much of this stems from the fact that only in the past half century have men and women tried to occupy the same work-spaces, especially in political bureaucracies. Until fairly recently, men and women existed in rather separate work-and-social worlds, with behaviors that seem weird and quaint today — for instance, the practice of men and women retiring to different rooms for conversation after a dinner party, based on the idea, possibly true, that they had categorically different interests (as suggested by James Damore in his notorious Google memo).

Now, to suggest that there was anything to these divisions of sexual space amounts to another punishable offense, but that is probably the least of the dreary consequences in this contest. The worst part is that we’re burning all our political capital in this foolishly contrived war at the expense of all the other actual tasks we face. If the US Senate put one-tenth of its attention to rebuilding the passenger rail system as it put into the furor raised by Christine Blasey Ford, we might have addressed the awful problem of our soon-to-be obsolete mass-motoring matrix. But then trains are such a male concern. They have so little to do with… feelings!

Apropos of the war between men and women itself, something really bugs me: the deliberate  and convenient overlooking of women’s sexual power over men. That is what has been absent in the #MeToo movement, and quite dishonestly so. It’s really something to see the various indignant women of cable news coming onto the flatscreen every night to inveigh against men while dressed, coiffed, and made up like thousand-dollar Las Vegas call girls — except for Rachel Maddow, of course, who opts to present as the nation’s guidance counselor.

In fact, women have tremendous sexual power over men, and it is exactly that which provokes so much of the idiotic behavior that has come to be categorized as “abuse” where men and women intersect and the mists of pheromones perplex the air. It is at least as potent as the power that men supposedly exert in politics and the workplace. And it incorporates a range of behaviors that are subtle and insidious. (Classic literature certainly understands this, but it’s being removed from the curriculum for doing that.) The failure to even acknowledge female sexual power or to dismiss it as inconsequential is just plain dirty fighting — though it’s proclaimed unselfconsciously on the cover of Rebecca Traister’s book: “F*CK, F*CK, F*CK, F*CK, F*CK. See for yourself.

I believe the term “hysterical bitches” would have applied here back in the day. Same as it ever was.

    • AKlein November 19, 2018 at 10:44 am #

Hey, OS, do you know what the medical “treatment” was for hysterical women was back in the day? Worth knowing! Apparently quite therapeutic.

      • CancelMyCard November 19, 2018 at 11:05 am #

Well, I’m thinking that after the dark ages begin, all this gender bullshit will be long forgotten.
        But it may take awhile.

Sometimes you just have to wonder — does the other shoe drop only when there is some kind of cataclysmic event? After which we are mired in a decades-long dark ages.

Or, is it just going to be this continuous grind down, lower and lower, day by day, month by month, year by year? Until it reaches some point of explosive blow-off, after which we are mired in a decades-long dark ages.

        • shotho November 19, 2018 at 11:20 am #

Yes, indeed, the gender thing will be nicely resolved when the mind is concentrated on more essential needs; food, shelter, clothing, transportation, etc. One can only hope that the pendulum doesn’t swing too far the other way when the masculine is reasserted in social and personal spheres.
There is no way to know if humankind is trending toward a new dark age (some would say we are already there) or a reemergence of reason and stability. The question will certainly be front and center.

          • lateStarter November 19, 2018 at 12:43 pm #

Agreed. So since these types of issues will disappear in the near future, shouldn’t we be discussing: food, shelter, clothing, transportation, etc.? Acknowledge it as a symptom of approaching collapse and move on. Perhaps we could shift the focus to transportation issues starting in 2019?

          • Janos Skorenzy November 19, 2018 at 1:25 pm #

Of course it will. Read the novel “One Second After” – women will be selling their bodies for food just as they did in Germany after the defeat. And from what I’ve heard, many of the “Allies” often didn’t pay up. After all, they were just Krauts and Huns and deserved what they got.

Compare this with the fine treatment afforded to the Japanese – and wonder why. I know of course….

          • dfnslblty November 19, 2018 at 5:56 pm #

most miss the point of genderpride:
“… food, shelter, clothing, transportation, etc. …” are and have been for ages products of the power abuses of white males.
“Masculine” has not been “reasserted” – because it has never been UNasserted!

        • outsider November 19, 2018 at 11:21 am #

Decades long dark ages? That’s too short a period. How about centuries long?

        • K-Dog November 19, 2018 at 11:35 am #

‘we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

        • Mission Accomplished November 19, 2018 at 7:22 pm #

Decades long? I’d say you are an optimist

Has there ever been an civilization based on a matriarchy or one based on logic not religion? I doubt it but do expect it will be a long long dark night of tying before things get rolling again.

      • Ol' Scratch November 19, 2018 at 11:58 am #

I’m thinking it involved a repetitive motion with something stiff. Repeat as necessary until symptoms abate.

        • AKlein November 20, 2018 at 1:39 pm #

OS, you are spot on. According to personages familiar with the condition as well as the treatment, symptoms abated rapidly following an observed “release”. Alas, I expect there were always relapses, but the time between relapses was dependent upon the nature of the patient and the perceived efficacy of the treatment.

      • RocketDoc November 19, 2018 at 3:30 pm #

I recall a freshman course in English Lit when I was discussing a novel that purportedly had a hysterectomy which I explained as something like a prefrontal lobotomy to calm hypersensitive women down. I am not looking forward to my 50th reunion and being reminded of my 17 year old “understanding”….

    • Elrond Hubbard November 19, 2018 at 11:24 am #

JHK’s remark that “trains are such a male concern. They have so little to do with… feelings!” is telling, since this whole essay is about JHK’s feelings — specifically his cultural resentments and animosities.

He’s just as upset with feminists as he is with automobile dependence, but the former for reasons that are less articulate and less rational than the latter. Kunstler can’t actually come out and say, in so many words, that feminists are to blame for the failure to rebuild passenger rail, because that’s a colossally stupid thing to say. But that’s basically his actual point: car dependency makes him mad, and feminists make him mad, and he’s right, so there. So how to package his irritation for our consumption? Disguise the stupidity of his emotion-driven agenda, from the reader and from himself, with mockery. “Look”, he says, “here’s an oreo-pickle sandwich! Aren’t oreos stupid? What are they doing in this sandwich?” And we laugh, and we let the stupidity slide.

By adorning her book cover with the word F*CK repeated over and over subliminally in the background, Traister is announcing her intention: to dig up subtext and make it text. Specifically, the subtext is exactly the kind of irrational animosities that JHK shared with us this morning, and the way those animosities, instead of freedom and justice, drive the agenda. Digging up hidden power relations, making them clear and understandable, and then undertaking to flatten those power relations and liberate people that are normally kept down and swept aside: this is indeed the project of Traister and thinkers like her. And it’s a good project. Free the people. Free women, and free men too. Free working people from corporate control and give them back control over their lives. Free people who are the wrong colour or who just don’t fit in.

      • Ol' Scratch November 19, 2018 at 12:13 pm #

Free women to be or do what? Be just like the men they say they despise so much? Does not compute. As Jim says above, women seem to discount the power they already have (and exercise quite fluently in many cases) over men. Were women actually seeking legitimate power they’d try to revert to their traditional roles by following their innate maternal instincts, rather than trying to out do men at their own game. What we have now is perverse and embarrassing to both sexes. We have enough men pounding their chests for sexual primacy in the world already, we don’t need the other 51% joining in the game as well.

        • Elrond Hubbard November 19, 2018 at 12:36 pm #

Ol’ Scratch: “Free women to be or do what?”

To be or do what they determine, for themselves. That’s that freedom means.

Scratch: “Were women actually seeking legitimate power they’d try to revert to their traditional roles” etc.

This framing is an impediment to clear thinking, so how about we restate this more honestly? “I want men and women to occupy traditional roles. For women to seek to escape their prescribed role is illegitimate, because that’s a threat to men.”

          Show me the lie, Scratch.

          • BornToKillPeace November 19, 2018 at 1:39 pm #

I don’t know about your personal experience. Mine tells me something is up. I have ALWAYS treated women as equals. Have I received the same courtesy in the last 5 years? No, I have not. I’m an older millennial and let me relate something to you. Women of my contemporary age are downright vicious and I do everything I can to avoid them short of going mgtow.

I continue to base my judgement on a person by person basis. Luckily for myself, I’m not driven by my hormones enough to degrade myself for their benefit. I got that out of my system in my mid-20s, thank God.

          • draupnir November 19, 2018 at 5:00 pm #

I can say this because I’m a woman, though some sister is likely to bust me in the chops for it, but evolution made the females of the Hominidae (including homo sapiens) smaller, weaker, slower than the male of the species, a trait we have carried with us through all the generations right up to this day. Nobody likes to talk about it, but it doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to deduce the good and sufficient survival of the species reasons for this.

Even in the Bible God told the women that “your desire is for your husband and he shall rule over you.”

          • abbybwood November 20, 2018 at 2:38 am #

Just to take the opportunity to jump into the conversation as a 68 year old Caucasian “nationalist” female who finds interest in the old times moments when the men would remove themselves to their smoking parlors after dinner to talk “business” etc. and the women would go off to their little areas to do what ever it was that they did.

Obviously I was never there back in the late 1800’s/early 1900’s, but I can only imagine that the women were not just chitty-chatting about their latest discovery on how to make the best rhubarb pie. With strawberries or without? Their latest nifty knitting/crochet stitches? Well, maybe. Best ways to solve colic in the babies? Best ways to breastfeed? Sleeping with the baby or not? What fashions they fancied and could afford and that were not too outlandish for the times. (Women generally like to push the envelope on fashion cause it’s…FUN!)

Or perhaps these women were more hip than we give them credit for? They might have been discussing their husbands’ interesting ways of how they lie to them and try to get away with it? The most interesting ways they have found to make love?

“I got on top one night because he was just too heavy for me, and it was…dare I say…VERY pleasant! Very pleasant indeed! And he seemed to be VERY satisfied with the results! Now, I wouldn’t want to promote this to anyone as a NORMAL way to make love, but, I thought it would be prudent to share my experience here… Another small port? Thank you, so long as they are so involved in their little talks…why not?”

In my experience over the past 50 years, I have discovered that the vast majority of men have had the same basic needs: affection, being listened to intently and understood, passion: when he is in the mood for a sexual encounter he can easily and quickly GET a woman in the mood (if he is truly passionate and there is an equal and opposite attraction in existence), and good food and drink.

Generally men love great, tasty food and good things to drink whether a tall glass of sweet water from a well, or a nice port or a clean Scotch. Followed by a vigorous walk down the road and perhaps a cool dip in the lake late at night. That has probably been more of a pleasurable pastime than many a couple would admit to!

Good, worthy, intelligent and sensitive men are, by and large, easy to love and easy to please. Dare I say FUN to love and FUN to please!

Women in the 1800’s whether in Europe or the United States, I would guess, found their feminism (if true and raw) to easily assimilate to their worthy partners.

The only thing that has changed as of this decade is that women are now confused about their true desires as to love, companionship, careers, children, how much time they have left to pursue their desires and balancing these things in order to find happiness for both partners (and the children, should they occur).

Love, when it happens organically, is still raw love. Whether a man and woman want to ADMIT that they are experiencing this love is another matter.

            Just my two cents.

          • Ol' Scratch November 20, 2018 at 10:27 am #

For women to seek to escape their prescribed role is illegitimate, because that’s a threat to men.”

Circular reasoning Elrond. Traditional roles got to be traditional for good reasons. Violating them isn’t so much a threat to men; it’s a threat to women and the larger society which they inhabit. Throwing out tradition based on a few instances of men violating positions of power is throwing out the proverbial baby with the bath water. Asymmetric power relationships are the underlying issue, and that is hardly confined to relationships between the sexes.

Well said. Look at Dykes trying to out man, Men. I admit it may be natural for some of them, but why is it virtuous for them but not for us? Or the femmes who dig them, but would never accept such behavior from a man?

Read an article once: journalist in a Lesbian bar saw a Dyke say goodbye to her girlfriend by grabbing her hair, pulling back her head and kissing her. The journalist said to the femme after she left, You’d never accept that from a man in public. The femme, You’re right.

        • Walter B November 19, 2018 at 3:09 pm #

I do not know how old you are Scratch, but if you recall the “Free Love” movement of the 1960’s and understand it for what it really was than you know that it is all happening once again. Being in all male schooling and then the Army during the debacle, I was not a part of it, but from the stories I have been told by the men who lived through it, “Free love” was more like, “Easy sex”, and so many of the ladies fell for it. “You are free to be what you want, now get naked” is what it really boiled down to and some of the vile, disgusting tales I have been told have made me embarrassed to equipped with dangly bits myself. “Let them be and do what they want and then manipulate them into doing what you want them to do” is the game and it looks like it is back in style. Thank God I am no longer in the arena. I pity the poor souls that have to go through what is happening today.

          • Ol' Scratch November 20, 2018 at 10:08 am #

Thank God I am no longer in the arena. I pity the poor souls that have to go through what is happening today.

Likewise Walter. It makes my head hurt to think of all strategies and counter strategies that must be considered today. Relations between the sexes these days is a virtual minefield, especially for the men.

        • Exscotticus November 19, 2018 at 9:50 pm #

          >>> Free the people. Free women, and free men too.

Elrond, you can’t escape your fondness for collectivism even as you’re ostensiby spreading individual freedom. And just what is a “woman” and a “man” in your brave new world? You can’t even define them! It’s arbitrary yes? Whatever you think you are—that’s what you are. So why even use the terms? If you have things your way—gender is meaningless.

          >>> Free working people from corporate control and give them back control over their lives.

And that’s Marxist Elrond in a nutshell: CLASS WARFARE.

Elrond, anytime you want to quit your corporate job you’re free to do so. Just keep in mind that corporations do pay better than the government.

          • Elrond Hubbard November 20, 2018 at 1:39 pm #

Heavens to Betsy, have I committed CLASS WARFARE? Surely I shall burn in hell! Except no, I have a billionaire’s remarks to validate me and keep me warm, not hot:

“It’s class warfare, my class is winning, but they shouldn’t be.” — Warren Buffett, 2005.

“There’s class warfare all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.” — Also Warren Buffett, 2006. (Link. Make sure you follow up to the original links so you can see his remarks in context, particularly the conversation with Lou Dobbs.) If the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist, then the greatest trick the rich ever pulled was making everyone except themselves afraid — afraid of two words, afraid of being painted as a sore loser, afraid to recognize that the point of having a government is secure their interests.

Exscotticus: “Elrond, anytime you want to quit your corporate job you’re free to do so.”

Not good enough. I don’t want to quit my job, I want to own my job. Workplaces should be owned by the people who work there, and democratically governed by them. Corporations are totalitarian organizations, and totalitarianism is no more legitimate in the workplace than it is anywhere else.

          • Exscotticus November 20, 2018 at 4:28 pm #

            >>> Not good enough. I don’t want to quit my job, I want to own my job.

Then start a business, fool. Or do they not allow sole proprietorships in Canada anymore?

            >>> Corporations are totalitarian organizations

They are? That’s funny because I recall things like BoDs, shareholder meetings, and voting.

Corporations are creatures of the state, and Canada could ban them at anytime. The fact that incorporation is encouraged seems to be a problem between you and your government. Perhaps Venezuela would suit you better? They’re always nationalizing corportions. I think you’d like it there.

      • elysianfield November 19, 2018 at 12:19 pm #

“And it’s a good project. Free the people. Free women, and free men too. Free working people from corporate control and give them back control over their lives. Free people who are the wrong color or who just don’t fit in.”

Sweet Jesus, Elrond, the ’60’s are calling…they want their meme back…

Elrond, dignity and freedom must be earned. We freely gave “dignity” and a voice in this country to many who were and are undeserving. Your sentiment is without merit.

On another point, why is Canada running out of dope? The BBC so reports. Are you getting your share? You can have mine….

        • Elrond Hubbard November 19, 2018 at 12:47 pm #

Dignity and freedom must be earned? That’s what the USA is about, really? When the founding fathers declared their independence, they proclaimed all men are created equal and endowed with inalienable rights. They went on to pass a Bill of Rights, not a Bill of Prerequisites. What is this, if not a recognition that each of us possesses a measure of inherent dignity and that securing freedom is the public’s business?

As for the sixties: they never ended, dude. In fact, they never even began: freedom and dignity are evergreen. They are always worth fighting for, because they are always under assault — certainly now they are.

          • elysianfield November 19, 2018 at 7:05 pm #

“Dignity and freedom must be earned? That’s what the USA is about, really?”

Sadly, life is not about everyone being equal…everyone gets a trophy…I’m a good person, too…etc.

Reality… the truth… is not that we all have “dignity”, what you might suggest is that we should all have an opportunity to develop a sense of dignity…of self worth..in this we could agree.

Dignity is to be earned. A Canadian standing on a corner wearing ass-less chaps…where is his dignity? Would you complement him on his dignified bearing…on his God-Given dignity? No, you would maintain your dignity by crossing to the other side of the street (Assuming Canada has streets).

Freedom likewise. Freedom purchased with blood at the National level, with adherence to laws at the local.

I can agree that one should be afforded a modicum of respect, until that person should prove otherwise.

In the good old USA, nothing should be taken for granted, but earned.

        • Janos Skorenzy November 19, 2018 at 1:34 pm #

Well, how about everyone being afforded Dignity? Respect must be earned. Ditto wealth. And of course Freedom – and a society that affords Dignity – must be fought for. And if won, maintained with vigilance.

Needless to say, Dignity means UBI. And strong borders since everyone will try to get here to get it – instead of being noble and fighting for it at home.

          • Nightowl November 21, 2018 at 6:08 am #

In reality, wealth is often not earned. Not once you leave the realm of the middle class, at least.

        • Walter B November 19, 2018 at 1:53 pm #

I do not know ef, does “freedom” even exist, especially in societies such as we have today? I think not. Those who like to sell the “illusion of freedom” will certainly argue that, but in the end, societal humans are all controlled by one thing or another and when there is no one there telling them what they want or what thy should do, they generally cannot choose anything. The herd mentality controls most my friend, and those selling “freedom” are usually selling something else as well. Buyer beware.

And it does appear that the Canucks are running out of weed. Perhaps that is why they were so in favor of that 5 lane highway directly to Mexico. Does being stoned help you forget about the bone chilling cold, or just make you numb to it I wonder?

          • elysianfield November 19, 2018 at 7:15 pm #

“I do not know ef, does “freedom” even exist”

The concept is relative to each culture.

Pure “freedom”? Reserved for the criminal, the obscenely wealthy, and the entirely destitute.

Kesa…(where is Kesa?), might suggest that in her youth in the East German Workers Paradise she had freedoms…and she would be correct.

It is all relative. If I had the freedom to bitch-whip young Hogg for is impudence, I might…but, sadly…I do not fit into one of the three categories that provide true “freedom”

‘Bitch-whip’ is an interesting term, EF. Are you talking about dogs?

          • elysianfield November 20, 2018 at 4:36 pm #

Sorry, but “bitch whip” is a term that entered our lexicon from the prison and ghetto cultures. To “bitch whip” someone is to repeatedly slap a person who, usually, does not resist…

A “pimp whip”, however, is a term used at one time by ghetto pimps to beat someone, usually a recalcitrant whore, with an unstrung wire coat-hanger.

          • GreenAlba November 20, 2018 at 7:21 pm #

My question was kinda sarcastic, EF. I’m sorry people feel they still want to use it. I know, PC gawn mad. It would be a tiny thing to do that would lessen the disrespect for women inherent in the language. I find it odd that people are asking for a return to ‘traditional values’ but they don’t mind using words like ‘bitch-slap’ as if it was nothing when it has so many layers of vileness in it. And I don’t care if its origins are in the ghettos. You think they’re beneath you, apparently, but there you are, happy to adopt the worst.

          • elysianfield November 21, 2018 at 11:17 am #

” but they don’t mind using words like ‘bitch-slap’ as if it was nothing when it has so many layers of vileness in it. And I don’t care if its origins are in the ghettos. You think they’re beneath you, apparently, but there you are, happy to adopt the worst.”

            “They’re beneath you…”

Hmmm…. Do you mean the denizens of the ghetto? Many of them are so, within several metrics.

Or do you mean the use of language of low parentage? Many of the affectations confronted by on a daily basis have become common in my lexicon to promote shock and humor.

            “Clusterfuck” comes to mind.

Now, I’d hardly be complaining about language of low parentage, EF, would I? I used to be much more straitlaced in my own vocabulary but living with an Irish person of only moderate parentage has its effects 🙂 .

      • devon44 November 19, 2018 at 12:46 pm #

Lots of big words to mask the fact that you’re basically a pussy worshipper. The fact is, our culture developed these societal norms over centuries and millennia. The women stay home and bear and raise the children, and the men go out and earn a living. There is a reason that pretty much every successful civilization has arranged things in this way: because it’s the only thing that works. It’s in our biology.

But somewhere in our fairly recent past, a bunch of pussy white knights like you decided to, in the interest of earning brownie points from women, give them the vote. Then, when that wasn’t enough, because women kept bitching, you gave them more and more rights and privileges until they became a protected class, with several more rights than men have (like the right to either terminate or forego any responsibility from having a child).

Unsurprisingly, that treatment made most women insufferable, and also miserable (despite their protests to the contrary, most women would be much happier raising children and staying home than working in a DMV cubicle). And of course, now women and men are competing for the same jobs, which has severely hurt relations between men and women.

But rather than admit your mistake, a White Knight like you is so drunk on your own perceived virtue, that you double down, even though there is nothing left to fight. You’re forced to come up with bullshit like ‘hidden power relations’ and ‘people of the wrong colour’ (not sure how you managed to insert that one in there – JHK didn’t even mention race in this one) to contort yourself into still being a heroic white knight, fighting on behalf of the oppressed.

And maybe in the 70s and 80s, you might have seemed pretty cool because of that. But now you seem like a pathetic pussy worshipper with no pride, no backbone, and no ability to see your own stupidity. You’ve thrown your ancestors, your gender, and your race under the bus, all for a pat on the head from feminists that would rather see you dead than on their side.

And… about the response I expected. Nothing coherent, except to call me gay and a woman-hater. Which I guess is at least consistent – I guess if I were gay, I would hate women?

This might surprise you, but I absolutely adore women. I like them so much, I actually took the time to figure out how they work. And I also used my brain to figure out why they seem so miserable these days. It’s because they are being given an impossible task – to be men in the corporate world, and to be women in the home. And while you might say that means that men should ‘step up’ in the home, how in the hell are we supposed to bear the children? Do you have any idea of the amount of pressure that this ‘girl power’ bullshit is putting on young women? And I won’t even mention what it’s doing to young men, because I’m absolutely positive you don’t give a shit about them.

But you actually don’t give a shit about women’s happiness, do you? But such a great guy, sooooo virtuous.

I had a quick look at the Strauss-Kahn case last year, just to see if it was as straight forward as I had been led to believe. I suspected it wasn’t and it wasn’t.

His accuser was deemed an unreliable witness. She made up a story about being gang raped in Africa.

“What happened was this: Two days after the encounter with Mr. Strauss-Kahn, Ms. Diallo was asked by prosecutors if she had been the victim of other assaults. Indeed she had been, she told them: she had been gang-raped by soldiers who invaded her home in Guinea.

“Next, at a meeting two weeks later, “she offered precise and powerful details about the number and nature of her attackers and the presence of her 2-year-old daughter at the assault scene, who, she said, was pulled from her arms and thrown to the ground,” said the motion, which referred to Ms. Diallo as the complainant.

“During both interviews, she identified certain visible scars on her person, which she claimed were sustained during the attack. On both occasions, the complainant recounted the rape with great emotion and conviction: she cried, spoke hesitatingly and appeared understandably distraught, and during the first interview, even laid her head face down on her arms on a table in front of her.”

“The prosecution team pressed harder. She hired a new civil lawyer, Kenneth P. Thompson, who, prosecutors said, urged her to come clean.

““In subsequent interviews conducted on June 8, 2011, and June 9, 2011, the complainant admitted to prosecutors that she had entirely fabricated this attack,” the prosecutors stated.

““When confronted with the fact that her written asylum application statement made no mention of the gang rape, she stated that she had fabricated the gang rape, as well as other details of her life in Guinea, in collaboration with an unnamed male with whom she consulted as she was preparing to seek asylum,” the court papers state. “She told prosecutors this man had given her a cassette tape that included an account of a fictional rape, which she had memorized. Ultimately, she told prosecutors she decided not to reference the rape in her written application.”

There are quite a few other things I read about her but the above will do for starters.

Her story reminds me of the story of a Philippino-Italian ‘model’ who made an accusation against Harvey Weinstein. (NYT: For Weinstein A Brush With The Law.)

I can just be me, and get up when I want, and go to bed when I want, and have kittens around! Which, I have two right now I am fostering, and one is asleep beside me in the chair. Plus, I can drive my own car, and not have somebody trying to drive all the time. And nobody telling me how to act, or what to do, or pestering me for sex.

Yeah, it’s working out well! Women going their own way.

Oh course, that will all have to end in the next few decades, or there won’t be a human race. Places like Japan will be the first to outlaw abortion, and birth control, and force us all back into the roles nature means for us to play.

And if I ever got married and had kids, I would stay with him because I do not think kids should be raised without a father barring extremely bad behavior.

But, I am so disinterested that any decent man would get tired of the cold shoulder pretty quickly and head for other warmer climes.

I agree with you however, that the last few generations have been screwed because most of them don’t have a clue who they are, or what they are supposed to do. Liberalism, which replaced Christianity for many, is a dead end belief, about as near to nihilism as you can get without cutting off your big toe*.

I am 32. Similar stance. I’m sure I could find a “decent” wife. Years back I had a couple good women in my life until they became something I will term less than good. I always had the desire for marriage, but the closeness and then lack of took a lot of that out of me. I keep something like a mistress (no, she’s not married), but I could go without and be just as happy.

I’m not a terribly serious individual (everything returns to dust), though the selfishness of individuals in relation to the breakup of their nuclear families bothers me tremendously. There must be a handful of things a person would take a bullet for and the well being of children in this world through the roles of father and motherhood and one’s own marriage should rank rather high. It’s not something to lightly step into in this day. Nobody is forced into it anymore. Companionship into old age seems like a worthy goal with or without children. Will have to wait and see I guess.

            *Vietnam draft reference?

I was wondering, have you seen the recent film, “Mandy”?
It’s a combination of the 1971 film, Werewolves on Wheels and the saga of the Manson Family. The female protagonist looks a lot like Lynette Fromme.

Until then, enjoy being Nobody’s Fool.

It was a reference to The Big Lebowski, but I messed it up. It was her pinky, not the big toe.

No, I haven’t seen Mandy, but I will check it out.

While I appreciate the movie, it is far enough outside my orbit of thought that it would of went over my head whether or not it was the pinky or big toe. No harm, no foul.

disclaimer: I was on the fence about Mandy after watching the trailer a few times. This is a case where the film is much better than the trailer.

“I keep something like a mistress (no, she’s not married), but I could go without and be just as happy.”

There are a lot of layers of ‘wow’ in there, but I wouldn’t want to poke into your personal life, even to wonder how the ‘something’ sees herself in this arrangement. Let’s hope the dismissiveness is reciprocal, at least.

‘Keep’ is an interesting word. I guess that makes you a ‘keeper’ 🙂 .

          • GreenAlba November 20, 2018 at 9:33 am #

I do hope we still have the right of reply on this site because that’s cute, SSL, from someone who calls those who disagree with her politically as rabid dogs. All of them, since she helpfully adds an ‘always’ into the mix lest anyone escape with their good name intact.

And ‘the left is evil and deceptive by nature’. OK.

Then we have ‘Liberals will go extinct because they don’t have children or any moral center. Right.

Then, ‘yes there are many crazy b*tches in the world. They are busy about the business of ruining all lives’ What to do with all the pyscho broads LOL.

All very measured, I’m sure – and no-one need feel insulted.

Nazis are fine, of course. You can’t make a nice Aryan omelette without breaking some… well you know how it goes. And your gay hairdresser would need to watch his back too since they tend to go in for a bit of mission creep once they get a taste of popular support. But never mind – it is people with ‘progressive’ tendencies that are ‘rabid dogs’.

Now, on the matter of your accusations, it would be good if you didn’t twist words quite so much. The expression ‘telling someone to hit the street corners’ is entirely yours. Streets and their corners are in any case innocuous things in my country, designed for movement and human interaction, so I can only guess at what lurid connotations you are suggesting they have in yours. The actual context of the conversation which didn’t include those words was my suggestion (with which you are perfectly entitled to disagree, as several people on this site clearly do) that a non-religious website (i.e. not The Watchtower or the ultra-traditional Catholic site that Janos has cited before now) is not necessarily a place where everyone appreciates religious proselytising and that there must be places in your own home town that would benefit just as well from your missionary efforts. That you can turn that into some lurid suggestion says more about you than it does about me.

Now, the DDD accusation. From distant memory, I’d guess this is from a thread where I suggested that some men actively prefer a society where women are dependent and hence powerless specifically because they can then get away with whatever behaviour they choose with impunity. The alliteration would have been for effect and the hypothetical category sounded more dismissive as a result. Fair point. (I do know one Definite Dozy Dependent Dipstick, though, but not the kind you might think of and you might well even agree with the epithet in the circumstances, as might some others on this site, but I’ll leave her for the moment).

BTW, I’m still waiting for an answer regarding the insult you lobbed at either British society in general or the English judicial system in particular. It required a simple (a) or (b) answer, no complicated excuses.

          • SoftStarLight November 20, 2018 at 9:57 am #

Oh Alba, as long as Mr. K allows us here you do have the right to respond. In regards to your comment about religious proselytizing I can only say that there is a great deal of liberal secular proselytizing on this comment section. I am cool with it, but I think folks have the right to rebut and express their opinions that may go against those values. That is what a free society is right?

British and American culture are obviously different. References to street corners have a different meaning in my neck of the woods than in yours. Yeah, they are places where people walk and get to places they need to go. There are other transactions that can occur too lol. Sorry for my misunderstanding. See there I apologized that I misunderstood and ran with it :-).

At this juncture it doesn’t matter about the DDD reference. I am heartened that you did not intend it to be directed to me. At the time that was how I understood it. But who knows, maybe I was in a mood that day ;-).

Lastly, my answer to your question about the Tommy Robinson issue is no I would not want the trial of the rapists to be disrupted and have to be restarted. The information I received about the case was totally different than what was laid out in the Guardian article you referenced. In no shape, way, or form should those girls be forced to go through the ordeal twice so if that is the case I disagree with his approach.

          • GreenAlba November 20, 2018 at 10:18 am #

SSL, I would never have aimed such an epithet at anyone as a personal insult. As I said, my sights were aimed at an *attitude*, which is not that prevalent anyway, thankfully, these days, on the part of some men, and which may form part of the resentment of a (hopefully) small minority in the face of women not having to put up with absolutely anything any more because of having no financial independence.

On the ‘Tommy Robinson’ matter, I’m gratified that you can see his attention-seeking behaviour as having been potentially harmful to the girls who had already suffered enough (the men, you will be pleased to know, did all go to jail).

My actual question was ferreting around to try to find the actual source of the fake news that made you think that the English judicial system would imprison someone for ‘uncovering a rape gang’, an accusation which I hope you now agree is quite outrageous. A simple acknowledgement that you have unwittingly trusted fake news sources whose aim is to discredit decent people would have been good, but I see that it is not forthcoming.

Any MSM source (I assume, even Fox News, which has had to apologise several times for falsehoods regarding European affairs) would have given you the actual facts on the case, which are a matter of public record, but you choose to tar them all with the same dismissive brush because they don’t tell you what you want to hear.

The particular fake news outlet that misinformed you about ‘Tommy Robinson’s’ convictions told you what you wanted to hear, so you listened. If we’ve established that, we will have established something.

          • SoftStarLight November 20, 2018 at 8:19 pm #

I read similarly themed stories from several outlets regarding the Tommy Robinson saga but sure could have been bamboozled I admit. I will only push back in saying that I wasn”t necessarily looking for a theme to the story. It’s just the one I heard. It still frightens me to think if the rape and pedo grooming gangs.

You came back to the post. Welcome back. I can understand and sympathize why you were not having any of this earlier. To each their own.

In response to your response to me. Her and I are very equal in the relationship of sorts that we are procuring. When we first began our arrangement she pursued me and made it clear she did not want a boyfriend. I asked her early on as to test where her mind was if she would ever consider marriage or children for herself. With this I was given a resounding no. We currently live an hour drive away and she has said to me directly that she is glad to not have the pressure of proximity.

(I already see the comments of this or that – messing around behind my back – to which I respone – many a husband and wife, boyfriend and girlfriend share a bed nightly and go years before realizing one or both having been cheating on each other for the entirety.)

When we do spend time with each other it is quite nice. We might visit the world-class university cinema, go for a walk and talk about life, make dinner, and then head in for the night. It fulfills certain desires for a relationship, without the day in and day out of breathing down each others necks, when her and I both have careers to focus on and a bit of mutual weariness in general with the paradigm of being a lost generation performing the mating ritual.

It is an interesting observation I’ve found that so often women assume the worst of a situation with presumption that the man in question is pulling some dominance over a frail, unwilling, victim of a lady. That in its self has taught me more about womanhood than I had expected it to.

            Be well GreenAlba!

I suspect your “wow” was also along the lines of, “why mention that on here”. There’s something about the combination of facelessness and familiarity on here that makes for an interesting chance for dialogue. I enjoy the opportunity to be able to move along topics on this multi-generational board (possible new slogan: don’t trust anyone UNDER 30) and read and receive mostly intellectual responses.

I enjoy being challenged on my beliefs and practices in an honest manner without the worry of any of us having the ability to mess with any of each other’s lives in a detrimental way. There is a very good chance that I have not truly thought everything through in my life and I appreciate reading what other people have to say.

          • GreenAlba November 22, 2018 at 8:09 am #

Nope, BTKP, the incursion into your private life was not any part of the ‘wow’. I do it myself and have been criticised for it. People’s experiences are interesting (to me), and, since we’re unlikely to meet any of them and don’t know who they are in the vast majority of cases, relatively harmless, while providing normal human insight, which is always useful. If people don’t want to read them they can scroll on.

But it’s interesting (not being critical here) how meanings are so totally misunderstood on a discussion board when you aren’t speaking to some one face to face.

It was the layers of possibly cultural meaning that bring forth a phrase like ‘I keep a…mistress’ that made me think ‘wow’. Does she see her role as, for instance, ‘keeping a gigolo’, or is the ‘keeping’ entirely one-sided and a bit Victorian, and could one person be harbouring hopes that the other person isn’t bothering to tell them are stupid to harbour, because it suits them?

I’m absolutely not looking for actual answers here, BTKP, because that would be intrusive, I’m just pointing out how it sounds to a person on the other side of the gender divide who finds the old fashioned notion of ‘kept mistresses’ a bit…well I don’t know what exactly, but it did stop me in my tracks.

The other thing I always find interesting generally, and I’m not in any way criticising you here, is the reliable ability of religious people to cherry pick the bits they find liveable from their faith (and the bible specifically) and the bits they just ignore because they seem as unreasonable to them as they do to anyone not of the faith.

So, while I think it’s normal and healthy for people to have a sex life, actual biblical Christianity says you can’t unless you’re married. That’s it. No ifs or buts, sex is for marriage only.

Now, count how many Christians you know who even think they should stick by that one. Yep, same here.

          • GreenAlba November 22, 2018 at 8:16 am #

And the reason these things interest me so much, BTKP, is because I was brought up in a judgemental Christian faith that did me a lot of low-level psychological damage for a lot of years, that I didn’t even really recognise at the time. My life would have been a lot different without it.

And it was even the indirect reason for me marrying someone who turned out to be totally the wrong person for me to have married and setting my life on a direction it never needed to have gone. I don’t blame anyone for that but it’s a fact, because I know why I made decisions that I did.

          • GreenAlba November 22, 2018 at 11:16 am #

Sorry, I actually missed your long response (some of these threads get a bit out of hand, don’t they?). So I’ll read it now – I really didn’t want to poke around, it was just the expression…

Just wanted to explain now why I seem to have asked the question despite your earlier explanation.

And yes, my initial departure wasn’t about anyone’s post in particular – I just find the tsunamis of personal bitterness depressing and pointless. And predictable.

I can’t argue with you about the ladies of your generation over your way, but, as I said, all around me I see young family members and the young family members of friends all just living life the way people always have, with minor tweaks as people are entirely entitled to. E.g. my nephew who’s an architect is married to an architect who worked with him. Then he was made redundant, then made redundant again. Now he works for himself but on smaller jobs that don’t make a fortune.

She eventually got made redundant too but she’s managed to find something part time in an actual firm. She put in their kitchen too because she’s good at stuff like that. But perfectly ‘feminine’ in the normal ways (but unwilling to take cr@p and why should she?) and they have two little kiddies now.

But they must have started going out with one another when they worked in the same office and no-one mentioned anything about it so I have to believe such things go on in normal workplaces and sometimes wedding bells and babies come out of it (I’ve never been anywhere that was quite as rampantly active as the workplace volodya described in his past, but you know what we reticent Brits are like!).

And now I’ll read your post 🙂

          • GreenAlba November 22, 2018 at 11:40 am #

I’ve read it now, BTKP and thank you. But it was more than I was looking for or was remotely entitled to.

I would never presume, without an odd use of language, that one person was exploiting the other, but you have to admit ‘I keep a mistress’ is an odd expression for 2018 and does itself itself not suggest equality!

If I were your age and said ‘I keep a fella around in a detached sort of way but could live without him’, I’d fully expect you to think I was possibly just a bit self-focused in the matter.

Anyway, your arrangement sounds a bit like ‘good friends with benefits’ and seems to work for both of you, doing no-one any harm. And not doing any harm is always the most important thing. I hope it works for you both for as long as it needs to.

I once briefly knew a woman (but not that well) who told me one time that she’d been seeing a guy for a couple of years and he’d eventually proposed, which had totally shocked her as it had never occurred to her that he didn’t see it as she did, which seemed to me to be just a way of passing the time until someone came along who interested her more. She wasn’t a stunner or anything – very ordinary – so not someone you’d think of as a person who’d be used to keeping men dangling, although she turned out to have had a surprisingly colourful past (certainly compared to mine, but that wouldn’t be difficult!).

Anyway, the fact that she’d led him up the garden path without even bothering to find out if he had anything invested in the relationship struck me as callous and made me lose taste of her – I stopped bothering to keep up the acquaintance. I’m a bit choosy with my friends 🙂 .

So I don’t ‘assume’ that much in a one-sided way – but I’ve heard multiple stories from friends of young women who’ve stayed with the love of their life, as they saw it, waiting for the question to be popped, then when they’ve mentioned commitment, as they approached baby age, the guy has suddenly realised he’d actually rather play the field a bit more first, thanks very much. Often he then beds down with the next new face and they have babies. Bingo! But not for the one who waited – she becomes one of those clock-ticking-age young women that men shy away from as they look for someone younger.

C’est la vie, unfortunately. On both sides. But the men have more choices as they can have babies any time.

          • BornToKillPeace November 22, 2018 at 9:25 pm #

            GreenAlba : )

That was quite a message! Thank you for your time considered to response and the honest reflections. I do not know if I will be able to do such a thoughtful and lengthy response of yours justice but here we go..

One thing I increasingly enjoy as time moves from day to day is the essence of how meaning is shared and interpreted in such a vast assortment of ways, predicated on our own personal experiences and personality types + ways.

Let me admit that my phrasing was archaic and absolutely open for an interpretation of such thoughts that you are/were entertaining. Totally fair. I used the term in a sense of portraying the compartmentalization of whatever this is and as a sort of nudge at mgtow. I’m basically mgtow at this point in my life as a practice, but not in any mental stance that the label depicts to be the case. I love women (but I’d prefer to love only one) as partners in crime on the mental, social, physical, and spiritual levels and see most of this periods gender struggle in romance and relationships to be the result of social, economical, spiritual, and biological-technology upheavels.

Regarding the religious aspect you addressed. I definitely see what you mean by the large spectrum of people and my posts on here to seemingly cherry pick the bits and the contradiction inherent. To clear the froth from the water and allow for more visibility into the depths; I am not religious socially outside of conversations with co-workers in which the topic is shared. It is inherent in doctrine that I am a sinner and in this I accept. Spirituality has touched me within since I can remember holding memory – if I truly knew more of it, I would say confidently that I’m more a Gnostic than a proper 20 / 21st century Protestant lower-Midwesterner (U.S.A).

Seeing it personally in friends and peers I’ve known, the judgemental Christian faith can do a whammy on the psychological-social damage scale that usually erupts in one form or another as you said. I am sorry to hear from you that it worked on your negatively, but in the same, God puts barriers in front of us for all sorts of reasons and we can only hope it is for our benefit, though we may suffer. I’m reminded of the stories I’ve heard from my close friends I met and keep up with from college who grew up in northern Indiana, in Amish country – Shipshewana, Elkhart, Goshen. The Amish refer to non-Amish as “English”, so my friends were such and had Amish acquaintances and even classmates. When an Amish young person turns 16 they go through what is called, “Rumspringa” and are allowed to cut loose from the community indefinitely until they are scared straight. Well, as it turns out, those Amish are really very decadent after all of that straight Amish living. Many of them getting involved in terrible drug use, violence, and sexual antics. Most of them return to the community because the cutting away is too much for their minds. Similar to how 60s hippies from decent homes often became responsible and quiet after years of lsd, communes, and free love.
These friends even partied in their late high school years with some of Amish documented in the film, “The Devil’s Playground” (2002) and could identify them by name.

Ok, I’m going to stop here and recollect myself before commenting on.

          • BornToKillPeace November 22, 2018 at 9:59 pm #

I see a sorts of what you mean and are relating in the tales of those in and out of your life.

As time moves on I find myself more and more of an enigma to outward social perception and I am rather fine with that.
I don’t see this as much of contradiction and baselessness within myself as much as a leveling up of being. Human nature and nature itself is a contradiction on many levels, hence the dichotomous of polytheistic deification or God in our culture in the exchange from the Old to New Testament.

Too conservative for the free thinkers, too free thinking for the conservatives (and free thinkers), too spiritual for the secular, too secular for the religious.
I’ve dated and enjoyed time and conversation with both the woman who’s last boyfriend was the college football quarterback who went to the NFL and also the woman who is a world-class solo and chamber violinist. I’m the son of a lower middle class factory worker and a teacher’s assistant.

There is the “True Vine” and then there are the masks.

I would like a partner (but not how the term is used) because I would like a wife. Her and I must be on the same level and see eye to eye. I would love this greatly and imagine its success would be predicated on being even eyed and even hearted. I am glad to be male and understand what freedom that has given me biologically. Still, there are maps and roads and driving off the terrain when not prepared can lead to destruction or death for all in the car.

I am definitely staying away from sex. And I agree that I am crazy in some way, because I choose to be celibate rather than put up with some idiot in my life. That is not the choice most people make, and not one I would ever encourage anyone else to make, lest they screw up their life.

But, it works for me. I can be abnormal, and not try to make the rest of the world think it is normal. I accept it for what it is. Why can’t queers, trannies, and dykes do the same? Simply admit that they are abnormal, and not try to change the toy aisle at Wal Mart into some sort of weird non-gender area???

” most women I know are just crazy in big ways.”

“Just Crazy” is what men might call “emotionally acting out”

Men like to think of themselves as rational beings. Experiencing a hormonal tantrum over what men might consider a minor point appears as “crazy” to most.

        A case in point…

Man comes over to a friend house and asks to stay there because his wife threw him out.

Friend asks why she threw him out…and is told…”I don’t know, she just went crazy”.

Friend says, well you must have said or done something to upset her? The guy responds “No, I just walked into the house and she started screaming at me and told me to leave”.

Friend says “well…there must be something?” The guy replies, No…I guess she found out I was screwing her sister, and she just went crazy….

      • Linda November 20, 2018 at 4:48 am #

A rather sweeping generalization of women.

I, too, have a circle of normal friends as well, Green Alba.

Let me quote President Trump for Squeeky: Sad, very sad.

        • Squeeky Fromm Girl Reporter November 20, 2018 at 8:56 am #

Uh, the whole point of a generalization is to be sweeping. To catch up the norm in the net.

The fact that both of us, and Alba, know relatively sane women, does not negate the fact/opinion/generalization that most women are crazy in some big way.

It would be like me saying men are horny little imps. And then you know some guy who is like a monk, and could care less for the temptations of the flesh. Guess what? Most men are still horny little imps.

Squeeky, the fact that my non-overlapping groups of friends or Linda’s contain no mad women is not evidence of anything much, other than that perhaps both Linda and I are judicious in our choice of friends or have generally moved in happier circles than most throughout our lives.

The fact that I’ve lived almost twice as long as you have and I’ve only come across about two women personally who could be described as having some weird ideas (one in a new-agey way and the other having tired of two husbands she still loved in a ‘best friendy’ way and needing a new one because she needs to be passionately adored) suggests to me that the phenomenon is rather less widespread than you propose. Or perhaps your country is more full of nutters than most. I could not presume to say.

Most of the mad ones I perceive seem to be connected to Sleb culture and mostly from over your way. Neither of these skewings surprises me.

A while ago I read Campbell and Twenge’s book on ‘The Narcissism Epidemic’, which centred on data from your country, which, in fairness, does seem to pursue a lot of things to excess. The data (actual data, as opposed to er…generalisations) apparently demonstrates that narcissism is slightly (only slightly) more prevalent in men in the general population but slightly more prevalent in women in the entertainment industry. Forgive me for not being bowled over by those conclusions. Just as psychopathy is more prevalent in men generally, while border personality disorders are more prevalent in women. But, thankfully, neither is actually quite as scarily prevalent as you might like to think.

Or maybe the two of you are just insulated from the real world? You know, over here, a white person in Vermont where there is less than 1% blacks, simply has no idea of the sociopathy prevalent in Louisiana where the blacks are about a third of our population.

Maybe it is similar with you. In your sixties, and in a predominantly white culture, in a relatively homogenous country. perhaps you just aren’t exposed to the same skank whore culture here in the States.

In my circle, I have older female relatives who have an entirely different situation in life than the girls my age. The old broads are pretty much financially secure, having stayed married for decades. And not having been promiscuous.

But girls my age are a whole ‘nother story. Having had 20 different lovers is not unusual. They screw at the drop of a hat, with men they hardly know. They take drugs, and drink to excess. They have crappy tattoos. And my circle is mostly college educated!

The reality is, that society is unravelling. Maybe not in the senior set yet, but today’s 35 year old chippie, is going to be a senior one day.

I’m aware of ‘skanky’ behaviour, Squeeky – there’s no shortage of it anywhere. Men have always indulged in it and it takes two to tango. Previously they preferred to keep a class of women specifically for that and another class for marrying.

Who marries the porn ‘stars’, for instance, that 70% of men -including the married ones and including the Christian ones – are nevertheless very happy to make use of and leave to whatever fate awaits them?

So now there’s a bit more equality of skankiness and I’m not going to get into the ups and downs of it because enough people have said what they think already.

But we were talking about ‘craziness’, which isn’t quite the same as ‘skankiness’ to my mind.

And my kids are your age – one 32 and the other 37. We are all aware of all the kinds of behaviour you describe, but it’s not the only kind of behaviour that’s out there. My nephews and nieces are mostly married with kids.

They went to university and came out unscathed. My daughter that’s nearby lives in social housing, but owns half her flat (with mortgage fully paid up) because, in addition to her normal, low-paid job, she took on cleaning and dog-walking jobs – I don’t see that as a particularly sheltered existence, especially when you’ve been brought up mostly by a single mum who couldn’t afford a holiday of any description for over 10 years.

I’m not blind to what goes on – I just see *most* people (who can afford it, because lots of young people can’t) getting on with their lives in more normal ways, even if they’re a bit more ‘liberated’ than my parents’ generation, thankfully.

I agree that there is a difference between craziness and skankiness. I think that in women, skankiness is a subset of craziness.

I mean, what sane girl would swipe right and go have sex with some stranger on Tinder??? My goodness, disease, pregnancy, and the dude might be a serial killer. FWIW, the REAL me, wrote a REAL poem about this. Since I don’t plan on getting this one published, I will present it here! Sooo, for the first time ever (IIRC):

            Tinder is the Night
            A Poem by Squeeky Fromm

Was it love at first swipe
            Which brought us here?
Or did mere shallow need steer
            Us to these cheap sheets.

            Passions of the lowest sort.
            A spasm of momentary lust.
Perhaps a simple game of parry and thrust?
Smiling now, I know mean feats.

My life is in books, and in the past.
            I truly don’t know if I spoke,
“Dick Diver”, would you get the joke?
Or would you slap me, and leave the bed?

Unlike Tiresias, I am not blind.
I see by light of moon and star,
We are not ships passing in the night.
Two garbage scows are all we are.

Oh, and FWIW, a quote from a philosopher named H.L. Mencken:

“The woman who is not pursued sets up the doctrine that pursuit is offensive to her sex, and wants to make it a felony. No genuinely attractive woman has any such desire. She likes masculine admiration, however violently expressed, and is quite able to take care of herself. More, she is well aware that very few men are bold enough to offer it without a plain invitation, and this awareness makes her extremely cynical of all women who complain of being harassed, beset, storied, and seduced. All the more intelligent women that I know, indeed, are unanimously of the opinion that no girl in her right senses has ever been actually seduced since the world began;”

I am a big fan of the late great H.L. Mencken , and he is absolutely right . A smart girl learns how to handle men as a teenager and has everything she wants the rest of her life. A dumb girl never learns and is forever the Victim. It is her I truly feel sorry.

      • gonetohell November 20, 2018 at 1:51 pm #

Of course the smart girl in this story is a gold digging whore. The dumb girl decided to work twice as hard as a man for 70% of the pay to make her own way in this world. Poor dumb girl, she wouldn’t trade places with that smart girl for any price.

Oh, and on this topic, you all might find this recap of Mencken fun:

and a complete copy of his 1918 book. In Defense of Women (which it hardly is!):

I have a copy of A Mencken Chrestomathy, and I am looking for a particular quote that I can not find. Anyway, this one is fun, for the nonce, and the non-nonce alike!

“Now that women have the political power to obtain their just rights, they will begin to lose their old power to obtain special privileges by sentimental appeals. Men, facing them squarely, will consider them anew, not as romantic political and social invalids, to be coddled and caressed, but as free competitors in a harsh world. When that reconsideration gets under way there will be a general overhauling of the relations between the sexes, and some of the fair ones, I suspect, will begin to wonder why they didn’t let well enough alone.”

Wow Squeeky, from what you post here you sure sound like a night to remember, and I too do not mean anything sexual. I have evolved far past that point, thank God. There is a young woman at my Old Man job that is now a social worker but still comes in occasionally part time. She is sharp as a whip and makes for superior conversations. I find nothing more invigorating that a great back and forth intelligent conversation, and yes, I get many if not most of these with women, usually the younger ones who are perceptive enough to understand that Grandpa is far past the point of being dangerous.

It is sort of like how I found the best way to enjoy deer hunting back when I did it occasionally. If you actually shot one, a lot of hard work ensued and by the time I was done with all of the responsibilities afterward, I seriously had to question why. It did not take long sitting there in the woods to realize that the best part was simply sitting there in the woods. It was so relaxing and peaceful that I never shot anything again and usually just fell asleep while relaxing.

So if you are ever in New Jersey feel free to look me up, though I would need some time to save enough to pick up the tab, by the sounds of it. In the meanwhile keep up the good work. The decent people that post here are the ones that make it all worth the occasional speed bump. Thank you.

Thank you Walter B. for saying nice things! I agree with you about men having a good time just talking to women. I think that is what the whole Geisha Girl thing was about. I could be wrong, but I read somewhere that they were more fun companions for a night of drinking and good food, and not just sex workers. I have never been to Japan, so I could be wrong.

I also agree with you about the hunting thing. I realized a long time ago when my father took me fishing, that I didn’t to catch and kill a poor little fishy. So, I never baited my hook, and when I got older I cut the hooks off the Rapalas so unless a fish just swallowed it, they wouldn’t get caught. But how nice to just sit by the water and plop your bait out there, and reel it in.

“But then trains are such a male concern. They have so little to do with… feelings!”

Well I do hope I’ve done my bit to promote trains and buses on this website, since my promotion of them is so very practical and non-touchy-feely.

I am pretty flexible on the English poets. I loved The Idylls of the King, and The Lady of Shalot. But also lesser knowns like Robert Southy, and John Clare, speaking of which:

          I Am!
          By John Clare
          I am—yet what I am none cares or knows;
My friends forsake me like a memory lost:
I am the self-consumer of my woes—
They rise and vanish in oblivious host,
Like shadows in love’s frenzied stifled throes
And yet I am, and live—like vapours tossed

Into the nothingness of scorn and noise,
Into the living sea of waking dreams,
Where there is neither sense of life or joys,
          But the vast shipwreck of my life’s esteems;
Even the dearest that I loved the best
Are strange—nay, rather, stranger than the rest.

I long for scenes where man hath never trod
A place where woman never smiled or wept
There to abide with my Creator, God,
And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept,
Untroubling and untroubled where I lie
The grass below—above the vaulted sky.

I even like the Irish side, with Believe Me If All Those Endearing Young Charms type stuff. And Lalla Rookh! Which I have a copy of somewhere.

I have a couple of CDs where he sings in Flemish too and they’re great even though I don’t speak any Flemish (surprise).

One CD I have has the same song, ‘Mon plat pays’/’Mijn vlakke land’ in both languages.

            Flemish version here:

            French version here:

It’s a shame you don’t understand the French, but it’s basically a verse about his beautiful ‘flat country’ in each of the seasons and the whole tone changes when you hit summer in the last verse. Amazing stuff. I enjoy the Flemish version almost more, even though I only understand it because I know the verses in French.

I find his very diction beautiful. Incredible stuff.

            ‘Amsterdam’s’ great too 🙂

I sympathize with JHK’s ire at the barking of the harpy chorus that appalls him so. Never fear, it too shall pass but not before new displays of male chauvinism among those countless angry minions arises. Too bad, the ladies righteous cause will come to no avail. The die is firmly cast and “mankind” rules the planet. There are ways to remedy the imbalances that certainly exist but they must be slowly and carefully presented and will require generations to accomplish. Much as, in this country, it took the early suffragettes seventy years to get the vote after men, including former slaves, had the franchise even before a President’s wife.

I look to a sort of gender based handicap system to eventually prevail in which female biology is assigned a mitigating handicap to offset male biological leisure when attempting to overcome gender inequity.

If the US Senate put one-tenth of its attention to rebuilding the passenger rail system as it put into the furor raised by Christine Blasey Ford

If the US Government put 1/10th of the $4trillion we blew to smithereens in the Middle East since W into the rail system, we might actually be able to get from Ny to DC in an hour, NY to Boston in maybe 2 hours, NY to Chicago in maybe 3 hours.

Trillions for “defense,” but nary a penny for useful infrastructure here in the USA. The one incredible thing Trump said in the primaries was his criticism that we would have been much better off spending the trillions wasted in Iraq on infrastructure here.

I’d love to see the Democratic house hold him to that.

In that line, Walker Percy once wrote something that I have not been able to find, to the effect about sex, that there are people who have things to stick into people, and people who get things stuck into them.

Which was gross, and I have been thru two or three of his books trying to find it again, to quote it exactly, but I can’t find it. Anyway, he was just a Catholic realist.

Yes, Walker Percy is still big here in Louisiana. I think maybe more now for introducing John Kennedy Toole’s Confederacy of Dunces to the public, than forhis own wonderful books.

I managed to find a first edition Ruins a few years ago online for cheap.

If you like Walker, you may also like John Fergus Ryan’s Redneck Bride. He only wrote a few books. Like 3 IIRC. I have them all. Plus, there is a movie, The White River Kid, which is out there on DVD which is based on one of the books.

Yes, I knew him and Shelby Foote were close. Also he and William Faulkner were acquainted. Also his uncle wrote Lanterns on the Levee, which I stole a copy of from my father, but haven’t read it yet.

I do hope you enjoy the movie. Some of the imaginary and symbolism used throughout the film (the cross at the very end of the film) are rather powerful. I imagine you will get a kick out of it.

Ahh, a fictional account based around the idea of a EMP attack. In the subconscious of our nation, it seems likely we are collectively aware of something of that sort being highly probable. One of the best ideas JHK has broached on here in the recent past was the possible option of counties voting to transition into era based technological setups. I’m mentally ready and more than willing to move to a locale based more in the 1890s to 1920s.

One of the reviews I read regarding the Redneck Bride was told from the perspective of a couple from Memphis on a trip, whom were taking turns reading the book to one and other and how they had to pull over numerous times from laughing so hard. Not that I have been driving while doing so; authors Barry Hannah and Larry Brown on numerous occasions have made my day in much the same way.

In the lack of sharp wit in day to day life to share in, it certainly helps to have such easy access to these sorts of artistic works. We are fortunate in many ways.

  13. “In fact, women have tremendous sexual power over men,”

Okay, I disagree here, only in terms of the construction of the thesis that women have “power” over men when in fact, men are strongly attracted to women. This is a natural phenomenon. A dopamine squirt in the brain whenever you happen to look at a beautiful woman (or suitably presented naturally attractive specimen of your own desire).

The TV-Tarts are obviously gunnied up to leverage this biochemical appeal, and it’s advantage is surely leveraged at times wherever and whenever it is deployed. But its simply not something requiring social restraint or corrective action on a cultural level. There is a wide world of cultures with prescriptions for that kind of tyranny, alternative cultures where an interested party can investigate the lifestyle and quality of life without that dopamine rush.

Would you rather live in a culture where a coitere of male behavioral enforcers run around with bats and throw gunny sacks over every fetching face? Where the old crone network keeps a collection of sharpened stones to remove your naughty bits? Where you are a commodity for trade in dowry? Where the excuse for rape or sexual assault is, “she made me do it”?

We don’t have realistic or productive conversations about sexuality because we are STILL dragging the rotten corpse of the Old World’s prerogatives around. We cannot mount a coherent defense of western values, and also elide the conceit that any religious doctrine is just as good a way of life.

If we know we cannot sell this turd of neopuritan modesty to the 21 year olds of America, I’m afraid we’ll reach for the phyrric victory of a Neopuritanism aimed at adults and children alike… Which will be a disaster not because it’s wrong headed and stupid, but because it will be a complete failure at any rate.

We are living in an time of such extreme ugliness, a glimpse of a beautiful body should be palliative to any normally calibrated male. It’s 95% of the appeal of Fox News anyway and everyone knows it.

    • JohnAZ November 19, 2018 at 11:51 am #

Your last statement is right. However, that beautiful body being palliative has turned into inducing fear due to #metoo. And that is definitely not all bad.

      • The rules to looking is the same it ever was: look with your eyes but never turn your head , especially when out with your wife.

That is the old Fox News, prior to Roger Ailes’ forced departure for alleged sexual misconduct and death only weeks later. The old Fox News was a leg show with short skirts leaving little room for the imagination. A good titillation for us Viagra-needing, circumcised aging men. The new Fox News, headed by Murdoch’s sons, has become, except for its more conservative content, just like the others. There are no legs in sight on its prime time programs, and 3AM “Red Eye,” with its infamous “leg chair,” is history.

It’s puzzling how we got to this place. The concept of two genders has been unquestioned for millenia. Toddlers know the difference between boy and girl. Animals know the difference, not only within their kind, but they seem to know the gender of other species as well (just an observation, I’m not a scientist).
So who decreed that will no longer embrace this 2-gender concept? And why, if there are so many of us who find the trans/multi/gender fad illogical, fact-challenged, and OBVIOUSLY wrong, why why why do the promoters of the fad have so much power? Did someone rewrite all the statutes and regulations and laws relating to marriage and divorce, and custody, and tax status, and inheritance, and geneology, and family? If the promoters were widely ignored, could we not reduce their power? What would it take to neutralize them?
Oh! I just had a thought – let’s NEUTER them!! Put them out of their miserable confusion!

    • JohnAZ November 19, 2018 at 11:57 am #

It is a natural state that all things are bipolar. All things physical have opposites. Up and down, left and right, positive and negative, male and female, black and white, Democrat and Republican. Everything has an opposite.

      Except God, the unifier.

Question. In the afterlife, is there male and female? Just asking?

I think, Yes. I am who I am. My female gender is an intrinsic part of who I am. If I am not a female in heaven, is it really even me?

        • Squeeky Fromm Girl Reporter November 19, 2018 at 1:30 pm #

No, it wouldn’t be you, but do you deserve to go to Heaven if you are going to get up there and start doing typical female things, like pestering the men to do chores, to talk to you more, to put up with various iterations of drama-queen fits, and in general, just being a moody bitch?

That is why I think there will be a genderless Heaven. Because women have raided enough silly forms of Hell here on earth.

Plus, you gotta figure God is a quick learner, and surely remembers what happened the last time he let a goofy bitch into paradise – – – she couldn’t wait to start breaking the rules, and chomped down on the apple.

“The worst part is that we’re burning all our political capital in this foolishly contrived war at the expense of all the other actual tasks we face.”

That’s the whole idea. If men are divided from women, there is no “we”.
It is discouraging to see so many fall for it.
All the obliging “oh those women, aren’t they bad?” posts. Why should anyone listen to a woman saying women are bad, BTW?
I could demonstrate that there is a simultaneous battle against women being waged, but why bother? I get so weary.

I learned the other day, from someone who goes there, that nothing much has changed in Haiti since the earthquake.
Didn’t we see a bunch of past, and one present, leaders solicit and donate billions to that country? What happened to our money?
Why would anyone then believe that not making a massive transfer of American wealth to “Africa” makes the current president responsible for fires in California?
Billions to one small area have zero impact, but billions to an entire continent were going to change the whole planet?
Isn’t that one of the things we should be paying attention to? We got majorly scammed by our own government.

It’s why Trump does so well with women as evidenced by the recent House mid-term results/sarc.

Are you saying Melania holds all the cards? Attention galore for an empty headed hottie, 3 chef-cooked hots and a cot in her own White House wing, and she doesn’t even have to sleep with the guy? All this, for another green card night clubbing immigrant who just chained migrated her family into US residency? (Who’s the real Dummy? Hint, it ain’t Melania.) Meanwhile, Studly Doright is still paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for a piece of porn star poon and his only real female devotee is Kelly Anne Conway who has to face the mic head on or she disappears. But there are those MAGA Women For Trump Rally attendees swilling Mountain Dew when they aren’t jumping around in red tees. They look pretty traditional. They might even clear the table and wash up before bed.

This new Gender Reality works until about age 60 when the drive to copulate goes back to hanging out with the guys. Then, no one will listen anymore. It’s just not as fun as it used to be when everyone knew their place and role/sarc. Hell there’s always been that uttered terrible line, “Let’s just be friends”. It’s the same thing, just not as fun getting there, (or at least thinking you’re getting there…..somewhere) 🙂

The point of this comment is that there has always been this gender movement. It’s nothing new. We just called it, “Pussy Whipped”, and now it’s public. Strident. And if she’s cute, men will line up to take it, block after block after block.

And from one of the biggest cousin-lovin dummies who ever lived, a great song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sj0o0QO2riY

I had the opportunity to observe male and female behavior in the workplace. I worked as a manufacturing engineer and a Registered Nurse. The differences were simple. Men work with each other in competitive mode, with the competition regulated by the folkways and mores of the respective workplaces. Women work with each other utilizing conversation and negotiation, both oral. Hmmm. Sounds like Clan of the Cave Bear. Men utilize bravado, women utilize emotion and feelings. Right now, between the softer structure of society, and the sexual power that women have with their bodies, the power to say no, women have a distinct advantage in the workplace.

    However, there is a spoiler.

The power drive, in my observation, is just as evident in the female world as the male. Men’s competitive nature developed from their power drive. They are taught through sports primarily how to control their power drive, being good winner and losers. Societal regulation. Women’s power drive is sublimated as children, “Act like a girl!” “Listen to the boys.” “Only boys understand math.” Then puberty hits and the motivational personalities hit. Women are ill prepared spiritually to handle a big power drive. Add on their inborn emotional responses, power women can be awesomely nasty. Unschooled in how to present themselves, they come off as being bitches. Not everyone, but enough to brand the type.

Can men and women work together well? IMHO, not without mutual understanding learning. Not training! We live in a society that boys and girls are separate socially until marriage. No wonder we cannot get together. No wonder 50% of marriages end in divorce. No wonder so much stress happen in the bisexual workplace. No wonder so much BS occurs relative to sexual harassment. Ladies, a man does not know how to act. One women sends out a flirtatious appearance to her co-workers, and another acts like a prude. On first introduction, how is a man to know how to act, he does not have the social cue advantages women have. The effects of testosterone on men is mind boggling. Women do not understand this. Power women especially. Yes, at first introduction to women, sexual assessment is in the mind of a man. Sorry, ladies, that is Mother Nature at work. My best advice, express yourself immediately on your feelings and do not waiver. Men, assume all women are prudes and be pleasantly surprised when they turn out to be “not so much”

And nurses say that Filipino nurses [both genders] have ruined nursing, where they work in the USA.

      • JohnAZ November 19, 2018 at 12:03 pm #

You know why? Filipino nurses are very submissive in doing their jobs and empathetic as a result. Product of their culture. They fit the mold of the empathetic Nurse. American nurses are more dominant which has its advantage where patient control is paramount. Americans resent the difference.

    • Janos Skorenzy November 19, 2018 at 9:26 pm #

Some truth here, but too simple. A lot of Women love power. Also when polled, a majority of both sexes prefer to work for men. Why? Because women hold big time grudges. So much for your dichotomy of women good and emotionally caring and men bad, insensitive, and competitive.

Good advice about dealing with women on the job though. Keep your sex drive out of it – even if they get interested later. Of course if love strikes, that may be worth taking a chance and risking the job.

  18. outsider November 19, 2018 at 11:45 am #

A good-looking young woman has but 10 years or so to land a good man. Today’s women are taught to pursue career first, then, maybe, children after age 35. The reverse is best for society – marriage, then children, then, after the youngest is in school, a job if you want one. Stats show that, if not married by 30, a woman most likely faces a middle age of quiet desperation with cats replacing the children she didn’t have. It is no wonder the IVF has become big business.

And that men, denied their biological imperative, are committing suicide in droves.

    • mdl17576 November 19, 2018 at 1:31 pm #

It is not a good time to have children. Previous generations produced about 6 billion people more than the planet can sustainably provide for. The consequences of that mistakeensure that a child born today will see decreasing wealth and prosperity and increasing problems due to the climate. In short, a life of suffering. Many in my generation have realized the best thing we can ever do for our children is not to have them.

Yours has been the prevailing philosophy of whites ever since Paul Erhlich’s “Population Bomb.” It was a best-seller, even promoted by Johnny Carson, in the late ’60’s. And Erhrlich was no doubt right, if probably a little too hysterical.

Unfortunately, only whites and some East Asians got the message. But no one else listened. The Third World’s population has exceeded carrying capacity in many places, thus we are seeing their conquest of Europe, an entire continent which is no longer having white babies. And the US, at least separated by two oceans, is not far behind. Whites are sealing their doom by their own foresight and conscientiousness. Failure to reproduce ourselves is a culture of death.

Speaking of the War of the Genders, and poetry, I offer this tidbit from a dude named William Blake. Enjoy!

    The Pickering MS.
    The Mental Traveller

    I TRAVELL’D thro’ a land of men,
    A land of men and women too;
And heard and saw such dreadful things
    As cold earth-wanderers never knew.

For there the Babe is born in joy 5
    That was begotten in dire woe;
Just as we reap in joy the fruit
Which we in bitter tears did sow.

And if the Babe is born a boy
    He’s given to a Woman Old, 10
Who nails him down upon a rock,
Catches his shrieks in cups of gold.

She binds iron thorns around his head,
She pierces both his hands and feet,
She cuts his heart out at his side, 15
To make it feel both cold and heat.

    Her fingers number every nerve,
    Just as a miser counts his gold;
She lives upon his shrieks and cries,
And she grows young as he grows old. 20

Till he becomes a bleeding Youth,
    And she becomes a Virgin bright;
Then he rends up his manacles,
And binds her down for his delight.

He plants himself in all her nerves, 25
    Just as a husbandman his mould;
    And she becomes his dwelling-place
    And garden fruitful seventyfold.

And agèd Shadow, soon he fades,
Wandering round an earthly cot, 30
Full fillèd all with gems and gold
Which he by industry had got.

And these 1 are the gems of the human soul,
The rubies and pearls of a love-sick eye,
The countless gold of the aching heart, 35
The martyr’s groan and the lover’s sigh.

    They are his meat, they are his drink;
He feeds the beggar and the poor
    And the wayfaring traveller:
For ever open is his door. 40

    His grief is their eternal joy;
    They make the roofs and walls to ring;
Till from the fire on the hearth
A little Female Babe does spring.

And she is all of solid fire 45
And gems and gold, that none his hand
Dares stretch to touch her baby form,
Or wrap her in his swaddling-band.

But she comes to the man she loves,
If young or old, or rich or poor; 50
They soon drive out the Agèd Host,
    A beggar at another’s door.

    He wanders weeping far away,
    Until some other take him in;
Oft blind and age-bent, sore distrest, 55
Until he can a Maiden win.

And to allay his freezing age,
    The poor man takes her in his arms;
The cottage fades before his sight,
The garden and its lovely charms. 60

The guests are scatter’d thro’ the land,
    For the eye altering alters all;
The senses roll themselves in fear,
    And the flat earth becomes a ball;

The stars, sun, moon, all shrink away, 65
A desert vast without a bound,
And nothing left to eat or drink,
And a dark desert all around.

The honey of her infant lips,
The bread and wine of her sweet smile, 70
The wild game of her roving eye,
    Does him to infancy beguile;

For as he eats and drinks he grows
    Younger and younger every day;
And on the desert wild they both 75
    Wander in terror and dismay.

Like the wild stag she flees away,
    Her fear plants many a thicket wild;
While he pursues her night and day,
By various arts of love beguil’d; 80

By various arts of love and hate,
Till the wide desert planted o’er
    With labyrinths of wayward love,
Where roam the lion, wolf, and boar.

Till he becomes a wayward Babe, 85
And she a weeping Woman Old.
    Then many a lover wanders here;
    The sun and stars are nearer roll’d;

The trees bring forth sweet ecstasy
To all who in the desert roam; 90
Till many a city there is built,
And many a pleasant shepherd’s home.

But when they find the Frowning Babe,
Terror strikes thro’ the region wide:
They cry ‘The Babe! the Babe is born!’ 95
And flee away on every side.

For who dare touch the Frowning Form,
    His arm is wither’d to its root;
Lions, boars, wolves, all howling flee,
And every tree does shed its fruit. 100

And none can touch that Frowning Form,
    Except it be a Woman Old;
She nails him down upon the rock,
And all is done as I have told.

Very deep, and simultaneously beautiful and sad. Sex rules all beings below the level of Brahma. I’ll have to meditate on this one.

This is easier to understand, and is less deep but more joyful – because not about sex but “only” transformation. A symbol of Christ if taken into the higher dimension.

      John Barleycorn

There were three men came out of the west, their fortunes for to try
And these three men made a solemn vow
      John Barleycorn must die
They’ve plowed, they’ve sown, they’ve harrowed him in
      Threw clods upon his head
And these three men made a solemn vow
      John Barleycorn was dead

They’ve let him lie for a very long time, ’til the rains from heaven did fall
And little Sir John sprung up his head and so amazed them all
They’ve let him stand ’til midsummer’s day ’til he looked both pale and wan
And little Sir John’s grown a long long beard and so become a man
They’ve hired men with their scythes so sharp to cut him off at the knee
They’ve rolled him and tied him by the way, serving him most barbarously
They’ve hired men with their sharp pitchforks who’ve pricked him to the heart
And the loader he has served him worse than that
For he’s bound him to the cart

They’ve wheeled him around and around a field ’til they came onto a pond
And there they made a solemn oath on poor John Barleycorn
They’ve hired men with their crabtree sticks to cut him skin from bone
And the miller he has served him worse than that
For he’s ground him between two stones

And little Sir John and the nut brown bowl and his brandy in the glass
And little Sir John and the nut brown bowl proved the strongest man at last
The huntsman he can’t hunt the fox nor so loudly to blow his horn
And the tinker he can’t mend kettle or pots without a little barleycorn

That same myth is contained in Longfellow’s book, Hiawatha. Which is a whole dang book, and not just a single poem. Here is a prose version:

On the fourth day, as Hiawatha lay upon the grass watching the sun begin to set, he was startled by a young man who appeared before him as if by magic. Hiawatha sat up and stared at the stranger. The tall, slender man wore clothes of green and yellow. His hair was soft and golden, and on his head grew golden plumes. Hiawatha watched in awe as the man seemed to dance in the wind, though his feet were planted firmly on the ground.

        “Who are you?” Hiawatha whispered.

“I am Mondamin,” the young man answered. “Manito has sent me to answer your prayers. He wants you to know your people will always have food. But they must work hard for it. And now you must work. You must wrestle with me.”

Hiawatha was weak from his fast, but he stood up and began to wrestle with Mondamin. The moment they began to struggle, Hiawatha’s strength returned. But in the midst of their wrestling, Mondamin vanished as quickly as he had appeared.

The next day, the fifth day of Hiawatha’s fast, Mondamin appeared again. As before, he told Hiawatha to wrestle with him, and Hiawatha obeyed. Again Mondamin vanished. On the sixth day, the same thing happened, though this time Mondamin stayed longer. Just before he disappeared, he stopped wrestling and smiled at Hiawatha.

“You will win, my friend. Tomorrow when we wrestle, I shall fall as if dead. Let me whisper to you what you must do.”

The next day they wrestled, but this time Mondamin fell to the ground, and Hiawatha remembered Mondamin’s words. He leaned over the stranger, stripped him of his clothes and buried him beneath the soft earth. Then Hiawatha waited and watched over the grave. He was careful to weed and to make sure the sun warmed the soil. He drove away the squirrels and the crows.

Soon, as Mondamin had promised, a green shoot sprouted, and beside this one grew another, and then another and another. By summer’s end, the field was full of tall, slender plants with coats of green leaves and yellow tassels that waved in the wind.

Hiawatha called Nokomis and Ioagoo and his people to the field. “This is Mondamin, Manito’s gift to our people! This corn will be our food forever.”

In autumn Mondamin’s leaves turned yellow, and Hiawatha showed his people how to strip away the leaves. Inside they found hard yellow kernels, and these they gathered and cooked. They held a joyous feast in honor of the great Mondamin, and forever after, with Hiawatha as their guide, they cared for Mondamin and reaped his rewards, and they never went hungry.

We need to petion congress to get serious about mass transit with passenger rail reinserted back to its Glory days with applied high tech of today. We also need to bring back the interurban of over a hundred years ago to connect the once farming communities now x-burbs to make those trips faster then heavy passenger service of yore. The reason the trolley interurban came about besides selling real estate and building the suburbs for an expanding population. They also brought retail gifts to the villages outside of cities and towns and Sears mail order items. The one thing that can save the US from lapsing further into 2nd world status would be the immediate adoption of that which is binding the entire Eastern Hemisphere into one for the first time in history. The thing that would make high speed rail possible from London to New York. What is lacking is the desire of one country, just one, to make that decision.

Most of Europe is in favor as is most of Asia, it would benefit all. What needs doing is for the US to stop demonizing others and find a way to exist without recourse to sanctions, etc.etc to prove a point. In about fifteen years most of this could be accomplished with a change of attitude and goals by the US.

Start digging that tunnel from Alaska to Siberia, mainly with private funds, and connect this hemisphere with the other for the first time in Eons. Lay those train tracks and stand back! A new day awaits.

JHK, while I agree with the general premise of your editorial, it’s not fair to read so much into the cover of a book. I’m speaking literally and paronomasiacally here—not proverbially.

As a many-times published author yourself, you know better than most that authors have little or no say over the cover. It’s considered marketing, and it’s handled by the publishers.

That little migrant army of F*CKs likely crossed the border from some designer’s sad shithole world of ideas into the more desirable climes of physicality—aided and abetted by a network of editorial traffickers of shit ideas.

I think you also missed an opportunity to draw attention to the pummeling that classic “old school” feminists are getting from the New Order of Freakdom. For example…

College office cancels ‘The Vagina Monologues’ because, well, ‘not all women have vaginas’

    And also…

FYI, saying ‘men aren’t women’ now qualifies as ‘hateful conduct’ on Twitter

Aging feminists (the ones born with actual vaginas) suddenly find themselves on the wrong side of PC, to the schadenfreude delight of conservatives watcing on the sidelines.

I’m not sure the evidence is really convincing that people are having more or less sex but I’ll go with the gist and if it is true there is less sex the question then is why. The lead in article says it is contempt for the patriarchy. Some of that must certainly be true but there has to be more to it.

Men pursue and women chose. The game is as old as time and nothing is going to change the basic form. In the game women have always had power, the power of no. A highly defined power of no which does not let them have sex without having another reason first. Many women do not even know this about themselves.

What reason can men now offer women? Nobody knows where anybody is going and what is going to happen. Sex has prerequisites and they are not being met. Feelings of insecurity do not let sex happen and in America today insecurity is off the Richter Scale.

Propaganda says things are getting better as propaganda always does when elephants rule. Slinging slurpees at a 7-11 and hearing that ‘coders’ are so much in demand that salaries for new hires start over 100K a year does not inspire confidence. Especially when you code when you get off work and your pnone don’t ring. The feeling that everybody else is getting some and you are not becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Pages of code with an occasional porn break and the world becomes a little bit more lonely with every one.

In this empty world where women wait for bower bird men who have no treasures for them they meet together discuss diets and eat.

It is a vicious circle where nobody gets happy, or lucky.

    • Yeah, I’ll concur that America is, in fact, a desolate wasteland when it comes to sex. Nobody is happy, nobody is doing it, even the Millenials are quitting.

It’s all part and parcel of a spiritless existence we’ve cultivated. A way of life with no future.

      “Men pursue and women chose.”

      …Men propose, and women dispose….

      • “le homme propose, la femme dispose.”

The New York Times posted a wistful op-ed about Sadie Hawkins Day, which just passed, apparently, wherein the female writer recalled a school event where the girls and the boys lined up and the girls asked the boys to the dance.

Such things don’t happen at all now. They wait on their Tinder application for an attractive swiper to appear that can kindle their tinglies with text messages.

Cluelessness pervades. Astrology is coming back in a big way as young people totally capitulate in desperation.

Some of it is the lack of personality. Millennials are mostly empty vessels filled with marketing slogans rather than wit.

The old saying has been transfigured into, “Dumb and young and full of netflix show references.”

As a bachelor I’d chase a lot more tail if I felt like there were women with more personality worth pursuing. Instead, I find women with as much depth as an IKEA commercial. The same reason I don’t get excite about seeing a Mcdonalds or Wendys. There is nothing unique to them – and they are everywhere. Everyone is so interchangeable.

I looked up K-Dog’s poem – it’s about a 17-year-old ugly girl who’s already figured out that love and princes are for the pretty girls.

You wouldn’t have gone out with her. You’d have said insulting things about her on here. Nobody said life was fair.

I read an interesting article a while ago that had comments from all sorts of people who’d like to have met a mate and hadn’t. Male and female. Some knew they weren’t that attractive; others were painfully shy and just didn’t know how to approach the opposite sex. Not millennials, more middle aged.

But none of them felt entitled to anything, just sad that they’d missed out. They just got on with their lives, without hating anyone. Which makes you wonder why others turn into the Incel variety who need it to be someone’s fault.

  28. volodya November 19, 2018 at 12:59 pm #

Like a great deal of what goes on nowadays, this gender wars thing is stratospherically ridiculous. It’s gotten to where saying hi in a bar is regarded as creepy, asking a gal out for a coffee constitutes sexual harassment. Having the bad judgment to do that in a workplace has somehow become a firing offense and a guaranteed career-stopper.

But what do I know? Not much apparently. Back in the good ole days, a company receptionist could call me to tell me she’s not wearing panties, a delicious Asian chick could do a sinuous, hip-swiveling dance for my personal viewing pleasure (displaying a collection of moving parts I’d not seen before nor since). People paired up, screwed each other black and blue, licitly or not, but the company made money, and life went on. Such was human sexuality back then, in this particular case in a high-stress work environment full of mating-age boys and girls. As JHK sez women deployed their sexuality because this is what hormone-addled mammals do, and we guys, for good and sometimes ill, availed ourselves of what was on offer, because guys thought with their dinks, and still do, because this is what nature apparently intended.

Never mind that BOTH sexes play their role, now for a guy to make a move is regarded as pathological, requiring at least denunciation and ostracism and career ruin. Ask a chick out? You’d have to be nuts. It’s asking for a police investigation.

Never mind how evolution wires us up, humans devise rules to subvert and blunt natural tendencies. Just look at the range of customs and laws governing relations between the sexes in the wide world outside the borders of the USA and other allegedly enlightened western countries. The Islamic world has got jurisdictions that require women to cover themselves head-to-foot, that do virginity tests on maidens to verify their virtuousness. Imagine that. Other places on the globe see fit to excise a young girl’s labia and clitoris, to avert displays of libido or to make sure there’s a minimum of pleasure in sez. Imagine THAT.

And so our own centers of learning and enlightenment seem hell-bent on changing the rules. OK, so what do they want? I suppose one thing they’re telling us is what the likes of Mike Pence has been telling us, that the transformations in the post-war period, specifically those of the 1960s, were a bad idea, that sex really IS dirty. And I guess they’re telling us that sex is demeaning for women no matter the context, marriage or no.

Women aren’t interested in coding 90 hours a week? What, sex-based interests? No, that can’t possibly be, of COURSE women are interested in not having a life, of COURSE they want to sleep in their cubicles in a sleeping bag and not shower and eat junk food, of COURSE they want to go blind meeting production deadlines.

I suppose I’m just not with the times, maybe not I’m not fully appreciative of modern-day ironies in this irony drenched world. Asking a girl for a coffee is a life-destroying act, but making porn passes muster and distributing it so all can watch for free on-line (including little kids) is fine and watching some guy ejaculate on a girl’s face is somehow ok. I don’t get it. And so you have multitudes of young fellas taking their cue from the smut industry as to how to behave in the sack with a girl. And so you have young men avoiding contact with girls because it’s so fraught with personal peril, spending their off-hours watching it on-line, using this method to relieve themselves, taking the edge off their natural drives. Has the world gone mad or is it just me?

Maybe somebody can tell me where babies are supposed to come from.

The problem with the Metoo movement is that it’s not a movement. It’s an idea promulgated by the NY Times when they decided to publish Farrow’s article on Weinstein’s sexual harassment of women working for him. The Times decision to publish it was not based on exposing abuse and inequality. Weinstein’s proclivities was a well known fact, a topic of titillation for years.
A movement starts with a leader(s) and participants who have a grievance, and a goal to remedy it (the suffragists.) This Metoo business exploited the women who told Farrow the abuse they suffered with Weinstein. Without a movement to support them, they have since been blacklisted from the industry and couldn’t get a job as an extra today.
And more — no serious efforts have been made to correct the inequities in the business, like rules against hotel room meetings without chaperones present, etc, etc. Rather, some women used the situation to ask for more money — which is the reason the situation exists in the first place.
Movements start with the people who have a stake in its outcome, not players at the NY Times. Most of the abuse cases in Hollywood never came to court, good, talented people have been ruined, women with inchoate notions of victimhood have taken to the streets in their pussy hats, and the politics of diversion use this faux movement, with no clear demands to their own advantage

Today I am going to post first and then read Mr. Kunstler’s posting.

Would you like to know something that scares me tremendously clusterf**ker nation? The number of women I knew in college who were seemingly alright in the head at one time, but whom now post nudes / semi-nudes rather frequently on instagram. I didn’t know this was a thing until the last few months.

That is their power they are attempting to utilize for whatever they want. Funny how that works. Are they being rewarded for that behavior?

      • BornToKillPeace November 19, 2018 at 2:46 pm #

Partially so. Queers, other Black Lilith’s, and “simps” seem to take to it with applause.

I see the action as being more self-demoralizing and pathetic than anything else. I get the clear distinction that they are aware of that as well. The term, “ride it til the wheels come off” comes to mind.

Yeah and if you share that with every man, or person or whatever lol, then doesn’t it sort of cheapen your main “product offering” so to speak? I am sure you would let them know that they are ruining their lives if you felt you could tell them that. Somebody needs to slap em with some sense (at least figuratively) :-).

I would say something, but it would add fuel to their bonfire that is suppose to be in defiance to my white patriarchal being.

Better to ignore them I think and not reward the behavior with a response. What bothers them the most is a lack of attention.

Lamenting loss of California’s wondrous Pacific Electric rail system once upon a time, I was brought to reality by a woman (not alone in her sentiment) who hated the groping and lewd comments, part of the ride…

In the magazine collection we find mid-thirties Cadillac and other GM car ads featuring well coiffed young women at the wheel of their own Club Coupe’ with ad script extolling convenience, safety and PRIVACY. Made possible by Alfred Sloane’s “General Motors Acceptance Corporation, particularly focused on getting young white women of substance into GM automobiles. GM knew how to reach the real movers and shakers…..

Nobody knows the true number of hapless women molested by strangers, as they slumbered in their Pullman berths. These sad realities are more a commentary on the behavior of rude and bullying men than any failing of rail mode transportation, but certainly hastened the decline of rail patronage, albeit rail passenger numbers spiked dramatically through, and for several years, after the 1941 War.

A shining example of passenger rail was in California, encouraged by the SF/LA “Daylight/Starlight/Lark trains of Southern Pacific, and the exemplary electric urban transportation in these two cities, much needed while automobile production lagged demand. Notably, hydroelectric power helped the economics of electric trains in California.

JHK shies away from talking about the actual most likely primary lead-in to A Long Emergency: precipitated by North American EMP/HAMP events brought on by nuclear detonations in the Troposphere. This situation comes when US adversaries engage in tit-for-tat activities over the Middle East Israel/Mohammedanism rivalry, with Iran & Russia being bloodied. Iranian/PDRK/Chinese links make Troposphere warfare possible. India & Pakistani space programs make also them suspects in the event. German/French (Force de Frappe) alliance is in the offing. Lots of suspects, Watson.

The sad upshot is, we can have solid state meltdown from satellite warfare, never see it happen, and not really knowing the culprit(s). Undoubtedly, there shall be a free-for-all US military reaction, if only to defang further attacks. The situation in the lower 48 commences with the lights out, the water not coming in and the sewage not clearing out. Store shelves empty in the first days, and only the rare old car and rarer old truck moving, because they do not have electronic fuel controls. Fuel in dead vehicles & ground tanks (service stations) has to be hand pumped. For reasons without space to explain, railway becomes the power of the hour.

Here we can refer to William Forschen’s ONE SECOND AFTER for very descriptive narrative of the true “Long Emergency” more stark than Jim Kunstler’s version. Jim’s lone calls for passenger rail are subsumed by the stark fact only operating rail linking food supply with distribution centers. In California alone, rebuild of dozens of rail branches into agriculture districts translates directly to Famine hedge for much population west of the Rockies.

Jeff Bezos, Sam Adelman, Elon Musk, and another dozen Billionaires are perfectly capable of sharing the tab for rebuild of ag district branch lines. ‘Nuff sed on where the money comes from. The actual organization of the effort comes with recommissioned US Army/Guard Railroad Transportation Battalions, on the Ft. Eustis, VA template. Under direction of American Short Line Regional Railroad Association, the money and the labor is best organized. Of course, getting the financing agreements, plans and materials in order before the EMP events makes most sense…. Is there a Henry J. Kaiser in our generation? Please research, O men of wealth & substance-

One has ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT JHK and many of his followers know with whom to contact and share these details. In fact, safe to say some of the very individuals sequestering wealth are reading this! See Forschen’s book, and decide how important the Union Of States.

Wow, what a bad day to be able to get such a late start on Jim. What a great subject, and one that may very well provide the fatal blow to our society. Fanning the flames of an all out war of women against men sparked by promoting the value of “feelings” over all other criteria for consideration is nothing less than demonic. In all deference to dear Ol’ Scratch, Satan himself could not come up with a better plan, oh wait, he did. By the time this action is fully engaged, those few men left standing might very well call out to the nation of Islam or the Africans to bail out those who are not yet dead .

I have had an interesting year in regards to this very topic, including a conversation with one of the democratic committeewomen in our Township. After listening to her disgust over the Kavanagh ordeal and the statement that America needs to throw out all men and elect “non-male” officials going forward, I facetiously suggested that perhaps killing all men might be the way to go. She replied that this would be a “good start” which I was a little surprised to hear, because both she and her other committeewomen all supported me wholeheartedly this year. Apparently there were no non-male candidates to be had, whew!

Through my CERT Team I attended a 2 hour talk by our county government on Human Trafficking in October. Of course, besides the occasional Guatemalan farm worker being taken advantage of by wealthy white farmers, the massage parlor, nail salon, and other outright sex slaves were all victims of the REAL problem, the evil men and their sex antics. As one of the only two males attending the talk, it was more than a little bit disconcerting when this finally came out and I was torn between giving myself an immediate sex change operation on the spot or turning tail and bolting out the door. Fortunately, I did not let my “feelings” get the better of me.

Just last week I attended another talk given at our local hospital on dealing with anxious children. The female psychologist giving the talk had a very detailed Power Point presentation that pushed the Barney the Purple Dinosaur agenda to the next higher level. The section aimed at parents titled “Listening is not waiting your turn to speak” gave instructions for listening to your children including, don’t interrupt, don’t criticize, don’t lecture, don’t offer unwanted advice. While all of these might seem reasonable on the surface, the presentation posted them in a far different light and it was added that we can learn a lot from listening to the wee ones as they are “introducing us to all sorts of gender orientations”. I wrote THAT one down on the spot for posterity.

It has even become very difficult discussing this issue with my own 14 year old daughter. She was ranting quite vocally a couple of weeks ago about DJT reducing sexes to male and female only, claiming that it was destroying the “identities” of those who chose to be something other. Of course she could not tell me what “identities” actually are, but what the heck, it sound important and “feels” good, doesn’t it? I was not able to make any headway with my idea that filling out government forms was a heck of a lot easier with only two choices and that women’s rights might be severely compromised if 37 other “genders” were added to the applications.

To all of the non-males out there, I have no desire to offend you with all of this and if I did, sorry about that. but there it is. I shall always prefer to work WITH you rather than fight against you, but if it all comes down to a knock down-drag out, please do me a square and kill me first. I really do not want to be around to see WTF happens when the war is fully engaged.

    • wet dog November 19, 2018 at 1:35 pm #

I agree with what you said, though one question: I’m guessing your daughter is attending a public/private school? Is it possible to home-school her and get her away from this poison?

I say this because it is mental poison, and will have a debilitative effect on her most formative years. This is the poison that will screw up her relationships with men, and cause her great harm through her 20’s (ie, her one chance to find a good man and find some happiness in this world).

Even in my small world, I’m seeing how messed up the teenagers and 20’s are. Weak boys, and highly emotional girls who are turning into wrecks. Sending kids to schools these days is child abuse.

      • Walter B November 19, 2018 at 2:13 pm #

Well it is public school and home schooling was never a viable choice, though my oldest daughter is doing well with it for her 6 and 3 years olds. It has been an issue that we have had to deal with for 4 years now and I do believe that it is working out. It was very disturbing to see so many of her classmates fall prey to the agenda, considering, picking and choosing what of the many “genders” they were that week and then changing to another down the road when they had a change of heart or whatever prompted a new choice. All of this years before they ever even became sexually active, and from what I gather most are still not. My daughter has at least three friends that are female and have already been in abusive relationships (what that entails I do not know) with other females so I am not exactly sure what the plus is there, but it is beyond my power. My daughter is doing well and I do believe that she has grown up understanding the value in a person such as myself, who puts up the firewood, does the dishes and the laundry, re-wires and re-plumbs the house, earns a good living, runs the Township and still has an understanding of the value of, “Yes dear”. Lead by example, it is always the best choice. Strength comes from within, not from without.

Good post Walter! I am glad to hear that homeschooling is working out for your oldest daughter. That is the way to go for all parents who can pull it off. Public schools nowadays are not in the business of education but rather indoctrination. Soon, if not already, they will have the kids turning on their parents like in that move Children of the Corn. But instead of a strange religious cult they will be a strange NPC cult.

    • Well, Kids’ perspectives can be refreshingly frank.

      Does Barney have genitalia? No.

So why is it a problem for anyone if a person happens to not possess one or the other, or both? Isn’t the main thing that we aren’t putting arbitrary social labels that might limit someone’s potential or feelings? Why couldn’t there be 2 or 4 or 8 potential options for self-labelling. Would it really be that terrible?

      • wet dog November 19, 2018 at 2:31 pm #

You are hurting them by putting all these fantasies in their heads. You are the “anything goes and nothing matters” type of person. You are the one limiting their potentials.

The kids then grow up without the strengths of the woman, nor the strengths of the man. They are wishy-washy, weak, and side-swiped by their constantly changing “feelings”.

All this gender “confusion” nonsense is to end up with weak men and weak women, nowhere near to any of their potentials. And it makes them easy fodder for the perverts in power. I guess you are a government bureaucrat.

        • SoftStarLight November 19, 2018 at 2:52 pm #

Yes, they are doing anything possible to weaken the population for their complete takeover.

        • Walter B November 19, 2018 at 2:56 pm #

They are seriously being confused and this issue was even admitted to at last week’s event. There was a point made at the end of the talk called Playing “Let’s go there”, where a theoretical young woman in her car that would not start immediately starts flipping out because of this. A “panic attack” and how to walk the victims through it ensued, and frankly it was sad, very sad. The system is creating more and more humans that cannot deal with even the smallest hiccup in their already far too simple lives, though they claim them to be overly complicated at the same time, and we are supposed to coddle them even more as a “solution”.

I am seriously convinced that the agenda is to make them all totally helpless so that in the end they can be totally enslaved. And they walk so willingly into the snare……

Those who in favor of and promote this agenda are clearly the wolves.

          • SoftStarLight November 19, 2018 at 3:04 pm #

Bingo Walter, you have identified it completely. All of this stuff is intended to tear us down individually, and then to tear us apart from one another. Once everyone is a lonely and confused individual the society is so easy to overtake. The individual is the ultimate minority and has no ability to fight off a State entity that is bent upon total control.

        • These exact same arguments were trotted out for gays, lesbians, non-Christians, etc.

Its progress to be acquainted with new facts, like some people are trans, other than the old method of just shoving it all under a rug.

The urge to protect Kids is worse than the alternative. Its that urge which leads to the helicopter parent, and then risk-free existence in an information bubble.

In my day, under the rules in force at the time, school shooting and public violence never even existed. Under your new “superior” system we are now blessed with all of the crap that we have today, and you are somehow happy about that? Damn, there really is no cure for stupid, is there?

  34. wet dog November 19, 2018 at 1:28 pm #

I remember how Weston Price traveled deep into the Swiss Alps, about a 100 years ago, to small villages that had yet to be infected with our culture.

Besides the outstanding health of the people, he found a strong comradery among them all. He described it as truly a community of “one for all and all for one”. He was greatly affected by it, and it is reflected in his writing.

The point of today’s “culture” is to atomize everyone, pit everyone against each other, break all apart, so to allow the easy domination of the governmental power structure. No one has others to confide in, share their innermost thoughts. Unlike our past history, where you had deep connections with each other in clans, and with the animals and life around you, now there is nothing.

If you remember Dave McGowan, the excellent investigative reporter, he wrote about this more than 13 years ago. We are all, purposefully, cut off from each other. David Icke has also made this point numerous times in his books. And there’s a reason for it. It makes us all weaker and impotent before the leviathan.

Traister is a stooge fronting for the “deep state” to maintain the hatred and confrontation between men and women. It’s essential for the powers that the most basic, human relationships be destroyed. And family is target #1.

    • malthuss November 19, 2018 at 3:11 pm #

No, the rulers goal is unfolding. Do away with Whites, White Power, Christianity and borders. Thats whats happening.

Swiss colonies, organic food, excellent teeth. that is so 100 years ago.

      • SoftStarLight November 19, 2018 at 3:24 pm #

Makes me sad but you are right Malthuss :-(.

    • I believe in anomie, too, but I don’t reach for such ridiculous figures as David Icke.

I don’t see the necessity for “the deep state” to exist where other proximal causes are evident.

For example, the nuclear family, consumer capitalism, even economic migration can explain a great deal of the effects above. Those were sold blatantly as improvements in life and lifestyle, and many an armchair football enthusiast agreed.

Look at magazines from the 1970s… a man drank beer, played football, mowed the lawn, and was an amateur engineers. A lifestyle whose establishment was an end in itself. The world of Weston A Price, and the Rodale types was born of an agrarian culture. That got commodified quickly.

Straightforward role modelling for men today has expanded. For women, its expanded even more. The successful world-beaters of tomorrow code the robots who will shortly be taking everyone’s jobs. The wife-beaters are just shit outta luck.

      • wet dog November 19, 2018 at 8:53 pm #

It’s getting harder and harder to discount Icke as a whacked out fool when the “crazy” things he’s been saying for 20 years keep coming true. They’re unfolding before your eyes.

The fraudulent nature of our economic system, the ownership of the governments by the corporations, the indoctrination of the children, the atomizing of society, the phony middle east wars, the rampant gay pedophilia of our “elite”, and much much more.

Stuff that I heard called “conspiracy theory” only 10 years ago is now accepted mainstream knowledge.

        • Janos Skorenzy November 19, 2018 at 11:27 pm #

What about the trans-dimensional reptilians who merely “wear” human bodies as clothes?

Queen Elizabeth is actually a carnivorous reptile of enormous size and strength.

          • SoftStarLight November 20, 2018 at 12:33 am #

Absolutely, they live and walk among us…and eat us. Really, why do so many people go missing each year?

          • wet dog November 20, 2018 at 11:13 am #

Nearly every religion relates that there are “demons” among us, sometimes possessing us. From the major religions through to the small tribal, shamanic ones. Nearly all discuss “serpents” and devils that can possess people. Christ was shown exorcising demons from a person. Rumi discusses it. This isn’t esoteric knowledge.

That’s the same exact thing Icke is talking about. We live in a partial hell dimension, and the demons wish to corrupt our souls and make a wasteland of the earth.

You don’t have to agree, but that’s the tradition he’s working from.

          • Janos Skorenzy November 20, 2018 at 1:57 pm #

Perhaps s., I do not doubt That. But the part about the Elite turning into giant reptiles – literally – that I do doubt. Icke has believed some Psychics uncritically I’m afraid. Or some people who may have had real experiences, like Kathy Ireland, but who then misremember or misinterpret their experiences.

          • SoftStarLight November 20, 2018 at 8:06 pm #

I have a penchant for getting pretty far out there, but yeah, I guess maybe the giant man-eating reptiles could be a bridge to far lol :-p.

          • seawolf77 November 21, 2018 at 10:29 am #

Demons are the souls of the giants, or Nephilim. It’s in the Book of Enoch, one of the many books banned from the Bible.

          • SoftStarLight November 21, 2018 at 11:20 am #

So wait, I was thinking you were against religion. Do you believe the Book of Enoch is true?

          • seawolf77 November 21, 2018 at 12:49 pm #

Absolutely it is true. If you read the Bible there were no demons before the flood. The Book of Enoch explains why. But more than that it sheds light on why there were giants in the first place-to help build the pyramids and the other megalithic structures. And what were they used for-to help put the moon in orbit. The Great Mooring as it is called caused Noah’s Flood. As David Icke has pointed out, the moon is artificial. Even science will admit they cannot explain the moon. That’s because it is a giant space ship. The Gods never left the Earth, they just moved to heaven. The Book of Enoch explains this as well. The Fallen Angels taught men sorcery and how to make and use weapons of war. They fostered war. War gives the Gods something they need- adrenochrome. Thus at the heart of the Catholic Church is the torture and human sacrifice of a man. Earth is a business model of the Gods. Mystery Babylon the Great is the religion or practice of human sacrifice that arose after the flood. Human sacrifice is a way to summon the demons, and the demons provide glimpses into the future, critical inspiration and information. The all seeing eye. The beings Icke talks about come from the moon. Vatican means prophecy. The Catholic mass is literally modeled on the human sacrifice procedure from ancient Babylon. It is utterly evil, but it works. Think about it like this. War feeds the Gods. That is why war is omnipresent. HG Wells knew this and wrote the Time Machine to explain this. I heard it took him 7 years. That is why in the Excorcist the little girl has so much strength, or the man at the railroad station knew everything.

          • wet dog November 21, 2018 at 2:05 pm #

I do agree with you that Icke shouldn’t depend on psychics or chanellers. I have a great distrust of that kind of stuff.

          • SoftStarLight November 22, 2018 at 2:16 am #

Very interesting seawolf. I have also heard about the concept of the moon being a spaceship. And that could be the abode of the Watchers. Some of them though are bound in the Earth in Antarctica according to the Book of Enoch. There could be pyramids there too.

        • seawolf77 November 21, 2018 at 12:51 pm #

Religion is the ultimate deception of the one inconvenient fact-the Gods are not benevolent.

Sam Harris. The man who can never concede. The man who thinks rephrasing is making a point.

Sam Harris: “I don’t think you understand me…”

Interlocutor: “I do understand you. I don’t agree with you”

Sam Harris: “But I’m always right because I think about things deeply, so you must not understand that I am correct”

Interlocutor: “I don’t agree with you”

Sam Harris (whining on blog): “No matter how I tried to show Phil Intheblank how he was wrong… he just can’t understand that I am always right and the smartest man in the room… I tried so hard… listen to our conversation”

    • To be fair he is usually right. People like Jordan Peterson get cornered when they start using words imprecisely marking him an old-school philosopher of the Western Tradition.

His Big Kahuna though is Free will. He’s been baiting the world’s intellectuals to prove its existence and mentions it repeatedly as if taunting us all.

He’s yet another yoga practicing intellectual dilettante who believes his state college PhD in Neuroscience entitles him to an expert opinion in… everything.

I particularly enjoyed when Daniel Dennett tired of Harris’ attempts at seeking his validation. This of course had Harris whining, once again, that Dennett was too rigid. No Sam, you’re wrong and over your inflated head.

He also tries to present himself as some non-theist/atheist, but when pressed, it’s revealed as nothing beyond his personal distaste for islam and christianity.

        Circumlocution with Sam Harris.

I recently watched a TV tidbit which reported that the residents of Tijuana are becoming increasingly upset with the unceasing waves of migrants to their fair city. They do not have the resources to feed, shelter, and bathe them, and these unwanted migrants are committing crimes and bringing disease. So, if the Trump Admin just “slow walks” the asylum requests, and refuses to go back to Obama’s disastrous “catch and release,” the aggrieved Mexicans on the border may take matters into their own hands and solve the problem. They could demand that their government close off its Southern border, and deport those 90% male migrants back to their countries of origin. Additionally, living conditions in the makeshift camps may prove to be so bad for these would-be invaders that they may decide to just give up and go home.

Yeah, I have been hearing that the people of Tijuana have been throwing rocks at the migrants and maybe some vice versa action too. Good point you do bring up. Maybe this will change the way Mexico handles its own borders? It will be interesting to see what happens. Meanwhile I really super wish there was that big beautiful and bigly WALL.

There are presently 3000 migrants in TJ. 10,000 expected by Monday. Rules are changed regarding asylum and processing will be slow. Too slow. It will be interesting to see what happens. Mexico is mad, but they didn’t stop them earlier. It is causing major border issues….they shut down the border crossing today. They are putting the women and children first for the media….but in reality it is mostly men. I believe a blow up will happen and of course they will blame the president.

          • SoftStarLight November 20, 2018 at 9:36 am #

Yeah you are right about the caravan’s makeup. It is like 80% males of military age they say. The women and kids that are with them are allegedly strategically placed for the cameras. No surprises there as that is what they have been doing for years. I personally am glad to see Mexico having to deal with this. Maybe they will do a better job of preventing these people from getting all the way to our border to begin with!

          • Exscotticus November 20, 2018 at 8:45 pm #

The caravans went from mostly young men seeking economic opportunities to mostly women and children fleeing unspecified violence. That’s the fake news MSM for you. But if you look at the imagery and just count, you will see that it’s mostly young men as originally reported. They did not undergo some kind of cartoonish X-Men mutant transformation as the MSM would have us believe.

One of the active fighters for the independence of Latvia, one of three Baltic republics that gained its “independence” in 1990s, composer Imants Kalnins, wrote a piercing letter in which he recalled the times of the USSR with nostalgia.

You are talking about security, while pushing our people to such a danger that we have not yet seen. Yes, in the Soviet years, the flesh of our people was ruthlessly torn and tortured. But the spirit of the people rose to unprecedented heights. Latvia never experienced such a flowering of culture and art as in the 1960-1990s. You talk ironically about nostalgia for that time. But only the blind do not see that the famous Iron Curtain to a great extent protected our consciousness from that cesspool, which now generously pours out on us from the West and with indifference of the tsunami sweeps away the protective barriers that our people built over thousands of years to protect themselves.

The only other thing I would say Mr. K is that nobody really should fall for any of this gender and sex war trash. The reality is that most people want to be loved and want to love. That is called being human. We are living in a massive de-humanization project. This sex war BS is part of it. How much easier is it to conquer lonely individuals. Take this crap with a grain of salt but yes it is good to expose it and debunk it. All these confused and lonely people are turning into mass shooters, etc. Meanwhile, civilization will require people who understand how they relate to one another and accept their roles within the natural hierarchy.

This may play well on the East Coast but it means nothing here in the hinterlands. People are paying a LOT more money for simple things like house insurance after the massive hurricanes last year and now California is burning to a crisp. Hurricanes Florence and Michael knocked the snot out of parts of the south this past summer. What do you think this will do to everyone’s insurance next year? People here in the outback of Montana are underemployed even with very low unemployment. That’s what plays here. Money doesn’t stretch nearly as far as it used to. The numbers using the food banks in the state are increasing greatly each of the last several years. Gender issues like this lady is worried about? How about hunger and shelter issues first? New York Magazine is out of touch with the reality out here in most of the interior West.

    • capt spaulding November 19, 2018 at 8:16 pm #

One way to earn more money is to form unions. It started in the thirties, and improved people’s lives greatly, as well as the prosperity of the country. Having the majority of our jobs move overseas changes the picture, however. If the US wants to maintain it’s power, one of the things it needs to do is increase people’s standard of living. The consumer is responsible for the majority of the economic activity. It makes no sense to give billions to corporations for the purpose of creating jobs. If I own a company making TV’s and you give me millions of dollars, I’m not gonna make more TV’s than I can sell. There has to be a demand, and you create that by increasing consumer’s incomes so they can afford to buy the TV’s. Giving tax breaks to business is putting the cart before the horse.

“Apropos of the war between men and women itself, something really bugs me: the deliberate and convenient overlooking of women’s sexual power over men.”

“In fact, women have tremendous sexual power over men, and it is exactly that which provokes so much of the idiotic behavior that has come to be categorized as “abuse” where men and women intersect and the mists of pheromones perplex the air. It is at least as potent as the power that men supposedly exert in politics and the workplace…”

On the first quote, what does “over men” actually mean? Men have sexual power and women have it. For the most part, biology dictates that the female attract and lure. Maybe it’s not so much “overlooking”, as just taking the obvious for granted. Should it be necessary for women to say, “we know we have the pussy whip and we know how to use it?” If a guy wants to be flogged, that’s his problem. For too long a woman’s sexual power was the only power that a man recognized in a woman or wanted her to have.

The last sentence in the second quote falls flat on its face with the use of the word “supposedly”. ‘Absolutely exert’ would be more appropriate, although things there are changing.

The 1964 murder of a nationally known cancer researcher sets the stage for this gripping exposé of medical professionals enmeshed in covert government operations over the course of three decades. Following a trail of police records, FBI files, cancer statistics, and medical journals, this revealing book presents evidence of a web of medical secret-keeping that began with the handling of evidence in the JFK assassination and continued apace, sweeping doctors into cover-ups of cancer outbreaks, contaminated polio vaccine, the arrival of the AIDS virus, and biological weapon research using infected monkeys. This new edition includes a foreword from author Jim Marr.

OT, but while we bring up crazed, violent Sportsball-Americans it helps to see what many Americans really support. This young, black, student-athlete was obviously a victim of structural racism. He was with his team for a few years prior to assaulting a teammate to the point of brain damage. I guess he felt the guy was unable to intellectually meet him so he decided to physically beat him.

Thugs like these (former Boise State football player) don’t belong on a college campus. Universities are for studying and learning and developing one’s mind, not playing football, and certainly not pushing aside true students in order to make room for a criminal. It’s no secret what these thugs do when they’re brought to a campus — robbery, rape, drug dealing, assault, etc. — the usual ghetto activities they never leave behind.

These actions are typically covered up and ignored by the university administration in order to keep the football team strong as well as to avoid charges of being “razzis.”

As I’ve said repeatedly, the people that should know, and need to know, and that are in the know, understand that human overpopulation is the disease behind a myriad of symptoms affecting super-organism Earth. From economics to ecology.

    Too many humans.

Bill and Melinda tried. They got a few billionaire friends buy in. Family planning in places that need it. Contraception in places that need it. Didn’t quite take, and it’s just not enough.

The thing is, the super-organism has a few tricks up its sleeve. It can change from within, due to various pressures. Evolve.

Within the last decade we have seen the concepts of gender, sex, identity, and reproduction disappear, along with the relationships between them.

Same-sex parents, transsexualism, designer babies. We are entering an era where sexual reproduction is unneeded. Where sexual assignment is unneeded.

Humanity will move onward as highly engineered organisms with genetic and robotic/synthetic augmentation.

The barriers to this are broken down almost daily.
    And we’re doing it ourselves.
Due to pressures. From every direction.

What it means to be a man. To be a woman. To be a child. To be a human.

Humans aren’t meant for this world.
    The one we created.

    • Exscotticus November 19, 2018 at 8:32 pm #

      >>> Bill and Melinda tried.

They did? Could have fooled me…

A ginormous planned community in the desert? Sorry but that’s a big extended middle finger to the environment and encourages even more population growth. Maybe he’s planning on populating it with the migrant caravans…

The thousands coming through the back door of the SW border from India and Bangladesh claim asylum, are released on bonds granted by the migration judges, and are out and free to float around the ole USA in days.
You see, Trump can complain all he wants, but so long as the State Department issues visas, many of them based on fraudulent terms, and as long as the DOJ allows judges to release the “asylees’ from custody, well, you have orchestrated malfeasance.. in the name of resistance.

SSL, with nothing but goodwill, I would ask you, since I think you have children, to please not fall for this.

It doesn’t matter what you think about ‘Tommy Robinson’ from a fake news website, but this is important for anyone you know with young children.

We’ve had an anti-vaxxer or two on this site. There are children being made ill and dying in various places (there have been revivals of anti-vaxxer groups in the US) since these people have spread their lies around about the MMR vaccine.

Once you lose herd immunity, children die. Please don’t go there.

(British) Andrew Wakefield has done very well out of it. He now lives like a celeb in the US, which always finds a place for people like this, and is now married to Elle MacPherson. Yay for him. Not so good for children who get measles.

Mistrusting ‘authorities’ and ‘official’ statements is great fun until someone dies. The early AIDS adverts used to say ‘don’t die of ignorance’. It’s still the best advice.

          • SoftStarLight November 20, 2018 at 8:00 pm #

Thanks Alba, no worries, I am not an anti-vaxxer. My kids are up to date with their immunizations. That being said, I constantly worry about the possibility of something going wrong. Also all of the chemicals and plastics…I worry about what they could be exposed too. As a mom I worry alot :-). I know you know how that is. I refer you to my very measured views on the matter in my response to Exscotticus on the previous thread. He brought the matter up and was presumably looking for a fight, which must have led to some disappointment, given the reasonableness of my views, even in the context of this site.

          • Exscotticus November 21, 2018 at 2:40 pm #

            >>> as an obsession on this website

            Obsession?—no. Worthy of discussion?—yes.

When trannies start dictating national bathroom policy in the UK, and force everyone in the UK to subsidize their lifestyle surgeries, then perhaps it will be an “obsession” for you as well.

            >>> and was presumably looking for a fight,

And with that accusation, GreenAlba, you “presumably” just went looking for a fight of your own.

I remember driving through the same places that they shot the Sound of Music in there in Austria, and there would be the entire family on a hillside– all dressed in the traditional southern German & Austrian dress– all together raking the hillside of hay.

I found that great. The mother and father and the children– everybody working together. Everybody in it, together.

That’s how I grew up. Everybody was in it, together. Everybody worked. All the children and the mother and the father. Together. We were a team.

It isn’t that way though in America. We have elites who aren’t in it together. We only have a middle class in parts of the country. We have an enormous working class (which I’d say I’m apart of), and then we have a large underclass of people who are addicted, homeless, or forgotten altogether.

Just once, it would be nice if the media worked on the right story instead of only pounding Trump.

Here is the Saudi Royal Family involved in a major intrigue. The real story is not if the Prince did it.

The real story is what was this reporter doing that pissed off the Saudis so much they were willing to jeopardize a good relationship with the number one power in the world, along with all its allies. We in America believe in individual rights as paramount, at least the more conservatives believe it anyway. Not so much in the Middle East. I for one want this answer before passing judgement.

How many vaccines does a child get?
          How many are mandatory?

          • SoftStarLight November 22, 2018 at 2:08 am #

Quite a few, especially within the first two years. It’s a laundry list…vaccines for Hepatitis A and B, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Whooping Cough, Polio, Meningitis, Chickenpox, Measles, Mumps, Rubella…and some more I can’t remember off hand. Most schools require kids to be vaccinated but exemptions are usually available too. So in essence, nothing is mandatory and there is a substantial anti-vaccine movement I guess you could call it.

          • GreenAlba November 22, 2018 at 9:44 am #

There are always exemptions for kids who have pre-existing conditions that make vaccination a risk (e.g. kids whose immune system is compromised by cancer treatment or some other factor). They rely on the herd immunity provided by the others to whom there is no risk. Needless to say, if they’ve already got a compromised immune system, their risk when they get any of the other diseases is much greater.

On the Historicity of Jesus Christ and the Gospel

I think that people exaggerate, arguing that there were practically no Jews left in the 1st century BC.

Another thing is, we do not quite understand the etymology of this word, we are constantly confused in two concepts: a Hebrew – a person from the other side of the Euphrates, (and possibly from the other side of life) – and a Jew – a descendant of those who left Egypt together with Moses.

We have forgotten in our age of individualism that in the ancient world religion was chosen not by man, but by the people, and belonging to the people was determined by belonging to religion.

And the mission of Christ did not at first lead to the separation of Christians from the Jews, since all the apostles except for Luke were Jews and, like Christ, continued to go to the synagogue and Luke himself probably because of his membership in the Church considered himself a part of the Jewish people.

And the mission of the apostle Paul was required in order for “the Jews to fall away, for the pagans could join.”

Meanwhile, with the fall of the Western Roman Empire, the world has changed dramatically, and with it such fundamental concepts as the people, nation, and religion have changed. But after this, the world once again was turned upside down during the crisis of the 13th century, when during the 30 years the Fourth Crusade, the Albigensian Crusade and the Tatar-Mongol invasion struck it.

I don’t even speak about the 20th century, when ancient Hebrew suddenly became a spoken language, and the 21st century begins with the fact that the homeland of Aramaic language Syria turned into an axis of the world.

But there is another important circumstance – the fundamental inadequacy to the historical realities of the very notion of “Historical Christ”, when there is no way to distinguish the founder of the Church as a Christian from Yeshua Ha-Nozri from Gamala, about whom the Master writes in the Bulgakov’s novel, or from dozens of other Jewish Messiahs then preached in the markets of Jerusalem, and which the Romans crucified every week at every corner.

The fact of the matter is that there is not and should not be any other evidence of the reality of Christ except the reality of His Church, and when the Protestants, who deny both the Church and Christ, begin to be interested in the “Historical Christ”, then all that remains is to either shrug shoulders or twist a finger at the temple.

Another thing is that there is a historical Christ revealed to us in works of Art, since some kind of overwhelmingness with the Good News (the Gospel) is required in order to pick up a brush and paint not a Fayum mummy portrait, but an icon, or create a mosaic or paint catacombs into which no one walks, except for the unfortunate, devoid of everything slaves.

And if someday we find references in the “historical sources” about the historical Christ, then this is unlikely to happen in response to the pleas of an idle and sly soul, hungry for a miracle.

For this, the Orthodox will have to remember that the holiday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy is primarily a holiday of Orthodox Art, and the Russian Orthodox will have to remember that the Russians made their historical choice under the influence of the beauty of Christ manifested in the beauty of Orthodox Art of Hagia Sophia.

And now, high art, together with fundamental science, is at the mercy of the Albigensians, and Orthodoxy, apparently, decided to limit itself to the arts of decorative, applied and illustrative nature, ala Frankfurt theology, from which everything has begun.

One of the reasons for my faith in Jesus is the situation of Judea at the time of Christ. Here are eleven followers of a prophet walking around the region preaching that people’s relationship to God and each other are the only things that count and that those thousand or so rules are not necessary. The eleven watched their leader tortured, belittled, humiliated, crucified and put into the ground. End of story, let us all go home now and mourn. Two days of incredible loss, disbelief, forsaken faith, Depression for the followers, which number much more than the eleven. We just spent three years listening to this man, learning a new faith from him, just to see it end here.

What?! He is alive? Here he is among us. Thomas, even you have seen him, touched him, loved him anew. You mean the evil of Man could not destroy him. He must be the Messiah. Thank you God!

And from this realization, these puny little Jews converted the world to the teachings of Jesus. Their faith converted the world and they all faced lives of hardship and cruel deaths to follow Jesus. Just seeing him on the road to Damascus turned the archenemy of the early church, Paul into his most earnest advocate.

Jesus was much more than just another prophet. He was God manifesting himself in Man.

It is too incredible to be anything other than the Truth, Jesus was and is the Savior of this corrupt, rotten world of human beings.

Ever think why Jesus had to die and be raised. Three occurances of Jesus raising someone from the dead occur in the gospels, the last Lazarus. This showed the power of Jesus over death. We would be worshipping Jesus today if that was all it was. Jesus was the human manifestation of God, the Supreme Being. But God allowed his Son’s death then God raised Jesus from the grave.

      Thanks be to God!.

In fact, to me this is a contradiction between the rational Japheth’s West and the mystical Semitic East, which is a fundamental contradiction between the West and the East from the Masonic point of view.

This conflict very deeply and in detail Shakespeare described in “Antony and Cleopatra”, – and I hope everyone understands that Shakespeare was, if not a mason, then he was very well acquainted with all kinds of Masonic ideas – and this is the contradiction between the various interpretations of geography, which is the source of lack of mutual understanding with Russia, which considers it to be a contradiction between Western and Eastern Christianity, which are VERY CLOSE, but not at all the same.

This lack of mutual understanding, unfortunately, no one realizes in Russia. Meanwhile, Western elites perceive the Huntington conflict of civilizations with Russia precisely in this context.

So I congratulate my dear Russian compatriots – you are Semites for European Masons.

But in fact, everything is very serious. I don’t know why I’m telling all this to you – anyway, we don’t influence anything, so why do we need to understand something?

But intuitively, I feel that while not everybody, but at least two or three of us understand what is happening, Hell on Earth still cannot be built.

In particular, it seems to me that if the Soviet people in the 80s understood what was happening, then very many things would not have happened – the monsters of the human race would simply be afraid of to arrange this.

And so with our stupidity we simply asked for Spotted Judas and all that came out of this.

Crappiest story ever told. There is absolutely nothing redeeming about the Jesus story. Mel Gibson pornographic rendition of it only proves my point. You cannot have human sacrifice and mock ritual cannibalism at the heart of a religion. You are not going to get a good result. Period. End of crappy story.

        • Hey- be sensitive. Christianity pairs well with poverty, stupidity, and alcoholism. Without religion, there would be no one to talk to when you are drinking alone.

Sorry but no. The Catholic Church must be called out to account for its sins, which extend beyond even the most wild imagination. The Crusades, the Inquisition, the Holocaust, Pedophilia, the Civil War, slavery. All of these things sprung from her womb, were nursed at her breast, and grew into unholy and evil monsters, for which she is very proud.

Well, this 50 yr old “international human rights lawyer” got in a spot of trouble with the authorities over the refusal to serve her another bottle of wine on a flight from Mumbai to London. My question is why they ever served her the first bottle of wine. They should have profiled her immediately at the cabin door.

She was on a two-month (that’s right 2 months) holiday in Goa (presumably drug-fueled) from her job as an “international human rights lawyer” helping the downtrodden (& ungrateful brown people. See how it’s supposed to work in her mind?) But she was an unpaid lawyer, she claimed. WTF??? What kind of world does she live in where she’s flying business-class from Mumbai to London & can take 2 month leave from a job but is unpaid? How do you do that? Anyway, here’s the vid.

The science of the matter is that biology determines one’s sexual orientation. Alignment, one way or another or “bi”, is not a cultural construct. Culture, to the contrary, is responsible only for shaping and directing expression of one’s alignment according to consensus perceptions or beliefs about survival necessity.

The innate tension between the respective agenda of each has never been a harmony but more an attempt at dynamic balancing; weight shifting from one to the other depending upon which agenda best bodes survival against shifting pressures, internal and external.

Recognition of the innate tension between one sex’s agenda to that of the other is foundational to social order, as evidenced in marriage ceremonies, gender specific right-of-passage, and gender exclusive membership bodies wherein the wisdom of elders is conferred and peers exchange anecdote about the difficulty of living with the “opposite”, which in all cases involves humorous stereotypical reference to the sexual counterpart.

Unable to align one’s sexual impulses with such “norms” creates a perpetual state of pubescent identity turmoil. “Queerness”, as it was once labeled, because of how outwardly manifested the subject’s internal conflict of male-to-female tension.

So no, the extraordinarily high suicide rate within the population of,…uh,….all those acronym and alphabet categories of “queerness” is not due to social oppression but instead to mal-adjustment. The subsequent is a pathological hostility to social norms.

    • BornToKillPeace November 19, 2018 at 11:20 pm #

“the extraordinarily high suicide rate within the population of,…uh,….all those acronym and alphabet categories of “queerness” is not due to social oppression but instead to mal-adjustment.”

This will become apparent in due time. The media will declare it as some epiphany deserving of the title of epidemic (that they manufactured on purpose). Then when it does the loose grouping of people here will be way ahead of the curve on other things obvious and yet veiled from the masses.

    Well…a question for the assembled readership;

I see an ad on the TEE VEE for a patent medicine called “Truvada”
The ad’s demographic is obviously those enjoying an active homosexual lifestyle.

But what does this medication do? It claims not to prevent the infection of HIV, but rather “helps prevent HIV infections”…does not prevent HIV.

It has to be taken every day.
It insists that sex, using the drug, must be safe sex…condoms, etc.
It intimates that if you take the drug while infected by HIV, it has disastrous effects.
It does not prevent infection of HIV, nor any other STD
It has been known to cause kidney failure, liver problems, loss of bone density, as well as diarrhea and other stomach problems, and headaches.

Sooo…why does this medicine exist? The only positive I can see is that it promotes diarrhea, which might make casual anal sex less appealing (or maybe not….).

All the sorrows of our national life are assigned lately to the wicked white male patriarchy that must be defeated to usher in a satori of female sharing-and-caring.

I think it should be clear that the inferno in California, most likely caused by misappropriation of State and Federal funds for forest management, and the onslaught of militant variety of feminism should be understood in the context of continues efforts of certain group of people to build a Hell on Earth.

Off topic. Has anyone noticed that obesity is in? I have seen several commercials with fat women buying various goods/celebrating fast food, Christmas, etc. I do not remember fat women in commercials in the past.

    • Walter B November 20, 2018 at 9:17 am #

Fatten ’em up before the slaughter. Obesity is another big money maker. An old friend of mine is an RN and gave me quite the insight in obesity and diabetes. He claims that it used to be a big killer of humans in the past until the medications and treatment like dialysis came about. While that may sound like a wonderful thing, the downside is that treating diabetes is massively expensive and includes many ancillary effects such as joint problems, circulatory issues, and many expensive treatments to deal with the numerous other symptoms of the disease. From what he told me, no diabetes patient could ever afford to pay for the treatments and medications that they need to stay alive so the bulk of the expenses are paid for by premiums paid by “the pool”. But the doctors and Big Pharma do not care, in fact they love it because it makes them a ton of profit, just like the EpiPen scandal. We must face the fact that in the end, our entire society revolves around profits, paychecks, and pensions, all at our expense. It is a real damn shame.

      • seawolf77 November 20, 2018 at 9:52 am #

It”s not healthcare, it’s sickcare. If it were healthcare, its goal would be to keep you healthy. It’s goal is to keep you sick and drugged so you get through the day with some normalcy. Diabetes cost over $300 billion a year, triple what cancer does. It’s insane. People could stop suffering but they refuse to change their behavior. Then doctors start cutting off pieces of their bodies like Marv in Sin City and they look around and ask “Why me?”

        • Walter B November 20, 2018 at 11:25 am #

Yes indeed seawolf, cutting off body parts is very profitable. A fellow worker lost his 85 year old diabetic Dad this Spring to a failed leg amputation surgery. The final bill was $800k! So lazy people get to lie on the couch watching TV all day eating cheese curls and coke and the rest of us get to pay for them. Nice system, eh?

          • seawolf77 November 20, 2018 at 2:36 pm #

800K and he died. Jesus. A guitar player I knew just lost a foot. $100k proposition. Made him quit drinking and smoking.

          • Janos Skorenzy November 20, 2018 at 4:56 pm #

As Fascists, we will get them off the couch, believe you me. We will have Camps, political, penal, educational, health, and just plain fun. There are a million Muslims in Chinese Camps right now. They are learning how to be good Chinese citizens.

Dare we do less? If we don’t do it to them (add italics), they will do it to us. Do you want to win or not? Or in other words, are you willing to pay the price? And yes, the price is high. But the price of not doing it is much HIGHER.

As a businessman, engineer, and alderman (or whatever), perhaps you can understand this approach – that of the over/under but using it as a symbol of realities beyond the merely financial.

Kamp means struggle or war. Add in William James’ MEOW principle – the Moral Equivalent of War, something very necessary for Aryan Man.

          • Tate November 20, 2018 at 6:52 pm #

If there’s going to be any Medicare-for-All, it should be required that to qualify, the peeps have to get down to a body mass index that puts them in the healthy category. Then if they don’t meet the goal, their ass gets disqualified & they die, simple as that. Heck, if you end up looking like some of these Stagger Lees, you deserve your fate.

          • Janos Skorenzy November 20, 2018 at 11:09 pm #

Oh yes, Girl Camps in abundance. And Boy camps nearby, and mixed hikes, dances, and mass marriages as in Holy Russia. Perhaps even polygamy to increase our population quickly in order to bridge the mine shaft gap.

Could you deal with Sister Wives?

          • SoftStarLight November 21, 2018 at 1:41 am #

It’s very funny you ask that question. In the past I would have said no for sure! But life lessons recently are making me rethink that. If a man can love me, take care of our kids, and meet my needs, should I really fight with him if he has a few other girls he treats the same way? Particularly, if we all know each other well to begin with and can make sure he doesn’t wander outside of the circle so to speak lol ;-). All of that to say that I am beginning to think that maybe I could deal with something like that.

People don’t normally get Type 2 diabetes (the lifestyle version) until later in life when they already have kids. And the ones like my nephew who got Type 1 at age 14 (nothing to do with lifestyle) sometimes don’t survive to live full lives, although I hope he does. Coping with its limitations has left him with some behavioural problems, which is unfortunate as he has a little boy of 2 himself.

          You are rather judgemental, malthuss.

Diabetes is not hereditary. One form at least is viral – I know of someone whose relative picked it up in Australia.

My husband has Type 2, despite not being very overweight, although he’s not the most active person in the world. He already has some autoimmune stuff going on, like psoriasis, which predisposes to arthritis and some cancers. Some people are not the luckiest.

Perhaps on that grand and glorious day when the Indispensable Nation decides where everyone can go to the bathroom we can move on to an infrastructure item of some recent concern.

Here in sunny Switzerland they have spent the money and effort to bury most of their power lines. Seems if the US is going to turn the planet into a large piling of kindling so the Koch Brothers can have a few more billions we can put lines underground in fire-prone area.

Just a thought. Now back to the hard work of sexual nonsense that has everyone spellbound these fine days.

  64. FincaInTheMountains November 20, 2018 at 6:22 am #

Mikhail Bulgakov considered the history of the Church to be the sacred history of the salvation of mankind from metaphysical evil and the driving force of all the changes that occurred in Russia and throughout the world in the early 20th century.

And the biggest event in the history of the Church at the turn of the 20th century was the failure or rather the incompleteness of the negotiations on the unification of the Church of England and the Russian Orthodox Church, and it is quite natural to assume that Bulgakov considered this to be the cause of the First World War and Russian Revolutions, and that world fire which began in 1941, but the flashes of which Mikhail Afanasyevich saw in 1935 in the reflections of the lights of the famous globe of William Bullitt at Spaso House.

Moreover, this assumption turns almost into confidence, if we recall that the prominent role in the negotiations between the Church of England and the Russian Orthodox Church were played by his father, Afanasy Bulugakov, and at a ball in Spaso House, Mikhail Afanasyevich saw the founder of the Thule Society, Professor Karl Haushofer and commandant of Bremen, Wilhelm Keitel.

But the miracle did not happen: the old anti-Byzantine tendencies intensified in the Church of England, and the Russian Church could not make a step over purely political and procedural issues.

The Oxford movement turned from Anglo-Orthodox into Anglo-Catholic, and with a distinct taste of Cistercianism, the eternal enemy of Orthodoxy.

  65. JohnAZ November 20, 2018 at 8:09 am #

Power is one aspect of evil. It rots the human condition. Jesus spent much of his ministry preaching against power. Yet it expands its force today. I personally do not believe in a God created Revalation end times. I believe that Man’s rejection of God and the consequent expansion of Man’s own evil nature causes the Hell on earth earlier mentioned, In other words, our evil nature cause our problems. Power is number one.

What the heck does this have to do with gender? Just this, there is a continuous spectrum of sexuality caused by deviation in the human DNA code. Like everything, all people are not purely male or female. Even the two recognized sexes have wide distributions within themselves caused by genetic variations in hormone levels. Add onto this the blurring of the lines caused by errant parenting of children distorting their minds at an early age of what and who they are sexually. The acceptance of LBGTQ folks and other sexually different folks is necessary in American culture, they are our neighbors.

However, power always comes into play. Add on ethnocentrism and you have a small group of “different” people trying to change society to their way. “Our way or the highway.” Every majority opinion on sexual mores has been challenged lately it seems by onesy, twosy groups of people. How, by manipulation of lawyers and the judicial system. Like so many other items, judicial manipulation is used to distort society to a minority viewpoint. Dems play this game like pros. LBGTQ folks flock to the Democratic Party in droves as a consequence. This legal methodology has so distorted the popular ideas of sexual behavior that the country runs in chaos trying to figure out the proper relationship between men, women and in between.

This is an insidious abuse of power by the Left. Their drive at centralizing power drives insanity at the roots of people’s belief systems. I cannot believe that they are attempting to define sexuality from a governmental source. Talk about abuse of power.Like everything else, The Left with their infinite wisdom wants to tell us how our sexual lives should be lived. Dems, you stay the hell out of our bedrooms and bathrooms. The people of America are perfectly capable of determining our own morality without help from a group of Leftist idiots.

Well penned John and yes God shall have nothing to do with bringing about Armageddon, He was just wise enough to know how it all would play out. It shall be the work of man, augmented and manipulated into coming about by Satan and his Cast Out & Fallen cohorts. How is it that all of these bizarre sexual/gender antics have all of the sudden taken front and center stage? If you are familiar with the statue of a devil (sorry Scratch) erected in Vancouver shown here, it all becomes clear:

How it is that so many people spend so much of their time and their efforts promoting what they do when they are naked and who they do it to is beyond me. If we humans gave that much attention to some of the real problems in the world we might be able to solve something for a change. But it shall not come to pass. Mankind is far too easily distracted, especially by sexual antics. It is the number one weakness of our species and has certainly played a huge part in our downfall. Beliar is very talented at what he does.

Yes abuse of power is a big factor in the game. Those who are powerless to control their own downfalls are always prone to exerting as much power as they can over others because, after all, misery does love company, doesn’t it?

NO, I’m not going to make a regular appearance as in the past. I enjoy being a reader and not participating.

That said, I can see that JHK is coming around to my way of thinking on some things. Who was it that FIRST introduced MGTOW to the Clusterfuck Nation? ME!

Now, I’m seeing more of the rhetoric and memes of MGTOW and even our benevolent host is almost ready to utter the infallible acronym, MGTOW. (Men Going Their Own Way).

More and more, your agitation with TPTB is driving the rhetoric and comments here, closer and closer, to my patented solution, “Kill The Billionaires or Billions Will Be Killed. It’s Just That Simple(TM)” Now, WHO or HOW that is to be accomplished is another matter. The Universe will raise him up and show him the way.

Watching the stock market this AM, continuing its downward plunge. Currently down over 400 points, AGAIN.

Not one mention on the media of the real cause. Lots of Apple saturation, high tech woes. But where is cause and effects. What has changed that would drive fear into the corporate marketplace? We just elected the most Left congress into Washington in a long time, yelling, ” We are going to get those corporations, raise taxes, increase regulations, we are going to undo everything Trump has done to help the businessmen in the country.”

People, are you daft? You elected these idiots into the House. You did this. Watch your pension plans, 401ks and primary investment tank. Good Lord. Maxine Waters, the crazy lady is in charge of banking services in January, does that give you nightmares. It does me. All you immigrants voting for the Leftist wags, where are all those goodies going to come from you counted on when you jumped the border.

This country needs another crisis like the oil crisis of 1973 to get its priorities straight. Our national corporations are the heartbeat of our economy. In case you have forgotten, the malaise of Obama and the Left is still waiting. That new job you have gotten after so many years may be in jeopardy now that the representatives you elected have their sights set on taking it away from you. You think white flight is bad? Just watch corporate flight if the Dems take control.

Oh yeah. A federal judge in San Francisco just scuttled the amnesty deal Trump wrote, to limit amnesty to the ports of entry. They will be able to cross the border anywhere they want.

    This country is absolutely insane.

    • I made a couple hundred shorting this morning, while you watched your 401k implode.

You’re mystified, I’m reading this morning’s New York Times.

      You’re clueless, and I’m informed.

I might have the urge to charity because we share this humble space. Or maybe I’m just entertaining myself.

Here is my advice: sell everything, sell the gold, the antique firearms, sell the jewelry, sell the fine art, cancel the cable, and all the utilities.

Buy a yearly subscription to the newspaper of record. Read it religiously. Apply capital to solid investments of your own prospective initiative. I guarantee you soybeans will be back over $10/bushel by next month. I’ve already revealed too many secrets. Good luck.

You are assuming a lot. My 401k is just fine thank you. Thanks to balancing between bonds, stocks and liquid accounts.

You made a few hundred shorting. Ever watch “The Big Short”. It might give you perspective. Shorting is parasitical.

Have you checked the collectibles market lately. Who are you going to sell all this stuff to? Nobody wants it. And gold, I hope people are going to eat gold because that is all the good it is.

Your comments about the NYT gave me a little humor this AM. I needed that. Thanks.

The subsequence is a pathological compulsion to de-construct the normative relationship between men and women.

    • Cavepainter November 20, 2018 at 11:46 am #

Behavior between the two sexes is always enforced by peer pressure within each respectively, and even a casual examination of difference in each sex’s peer enforced decorum illustrates the agenda difference between the two.

For instance, “loose woman” (translated generally across all cultures) does not refer to the wiles all women have (in different measure, of course) but to fact that she, in particular, hasn’t yet captured the services of a male in fulfilling the most primary of innate female drive – protection and provisioning of her genetic strain.

“Loose”, thereby, infers potential threat to the security of bonded male devotion. Within that innate anxiety about keeping the captured devotion of the male women tend to be apprehensive about women holding “high positions”, empowering them with inordinate advantage for leveraging the favor of men.

      Do the research.

Thanks, Jim, it’s been very interesting to find out what most of the men (and they do mostly seem to be men) who post comments here really think about women. But it’s not in the least surprising, since that’s what men have been thinking about women for at least the past 2000 years, probably a lot longer. And thanks for letting me know about Rebecca Traister’s book – I’ve ordered it from my Library but it might be awhile before I get it because there’s a very long waiting list. I might just have to buy it.

    • Cavepainter November 20, 2018 at 12:08 pm #

A big duh to you Helen: Do the research; across all societies each sex indulges peer humor about the opposite sex — always a theater of the most generalizing ridiculing stereotyping. Kind’a “locker room” humor.

And yes, it has social function in giving tension leveling vent to the inherent tension that exist between the different agenda of each sex respectively.

The tragedy of our time (and feasibly the downfall of our society) is that this war between the sexes has been contrived simply for deriving political capital. If education hadn’t been eviscerated of relevant content this wouldn’t be happening.

Yes, thank you Helen Not-So-Highwater, for lumping us all together into the shit soup of Gender War. My experiences growing up in and around Newark, New Jersey has been that the men that treated women the worst were the blacks and the Italians, yet these fellows were also the ones that were able to get the most “attention” from the ladies as well. Nice guys, gentlemen, if you will, have always been, from what I have experienced, the most shunned by women. For what it worth.

It surely seems to me that in today’s world, where women are rising to huge levels of success and have more freedom and protection from harm that ever before in history, they seem to be doing the loudest bitching. My lovely wife is the only human being that has ever defeated me in open battle, and though it may not appear to be so, has humbled me a long time ago. As I always state here plainly, men and women were designed to work together in harmony, NOT fight one another in a bullshit King of the Hill game. You want to play that game? Can’t wait to see how it works out for you. Perhaps there is still time for me to convert to Islam, what do you think? Care to join me?

  74. volodya November 20, 2018 at 12:09 pm #

Progressives tell us it’s about trannies, gays and migrants.

But how about some attention to breakfast, lunch and dinner? It’s like Buzzyhardwood sez about Montana, the degradation of the economy is such that people are relying more and more on food banks.

I read in an illustrious bizness magazine that a well regarded tech company is using overseas coders in places like the Ukraine and Egypt and that their average cost is about 15 US bucks an hour. Their American coders are bye-bye. These overseas employees must agree to subject themselves to constant on-line monitoring and visual observation. That kind of money is peanuts in the US, but in the world’s piss-holes it’s a reasonable salary and the surveillance is something they’ll put up with.

The point I’m making is that the folk along the coasts look in-land and draw themselves to a great height and assert their intellectual and moral superiority over those ruined communities and people whose work already went overseas. But when those Silicon Valley jobs – that pay fresh college grads 100 Gs a year – go across the waters, the sneering about the feeble mental and moral fiber of Deplorable-land starts to look a tetch hollow.

The CEO class shares the collective belief that American workers are paid too much and if the self-professed intellectual elite think they’re exempt from this notion, I expect they’ll be severely disabused. We’ll see how long it takes for coastal populations to start to look like those in the interior, with diseases of despair taking root and a decline in average life-expectancy the result.

I hear that places like LA and San Fran and NYC have got a running start.

  75. volodya November 20, 2018 at 12:31 pm #

It’s more than a little ironic that for all the rage about patriarchy, women have never had it better at any other time or in any other place than now in the US and other western countries.

I don’t think it’s stretching things to suggest that those people that reproduce are the ones that transmit their values. So, if white women, imbued with righteous anger about their treatment at the hands of men, and aggrieved about the lot that biology gave them with respect to the bearing and care and feeding of kiddies, keep their legs closed, other women from other cultures from places that don’t share the outrage and who don’t refuse to reproduce, will replace white women and the values white women hold dear.

There’s a lot of alternative models of opposite sex relations existing in the world, in some Mediterranean countries, much admired for their laid-back approach to life and work, honor killings are still within living memory. Oppression of women isn’t far beneath the surface in those places, oppression is the accepted norm across a wide stretch of geography. Populations are burgeoning in these places, their condition is dire, they want nothing more than to leave and to avail themselves of western standards of living in western countries, even if those standards are degrading. But women’s attitudes in those places are not those of American women, the men-folk make no bones as to who makes the decisions and who sits where on the tribal hierarchy. And the women pop out kids, and those kids learn those tribal values.

Guess whose values will prevail, the values of people who don’t reproduce, or the values of people who do?

Bringing back dueling might be necessary. Regulate it with a code duello, but make it sacred and not mercenary – not televised in other words, but real.

The number of asshole acting out their assholery would decrease. And men would again take up the Way of the Sword. Practicing an hour a day would be fine exercise and Academies would spring up, creating new jobs as Teachers for those good at this.

Of course, some would choose the Pistol. Not so many health benefits! But we must allow it as well. It’s the American Way…..

Attendance at a duel would by invitation only – and a great honor. The results of duel would be posted in the papers and online – as would be the names of those who refused a challenge.

In this interview with Benjie Shapiro promoting his new book: “Ship of Fools, How a Selfish Ruling Class is Bringing America to the Brink of Revolution,” Tucker BTFO’s the little cuck straight out of the water. In only a few short years,Tucker has matured from a bow-tie wearing Murray Rothbard-worshipping twerp to his present incarnation as a based Man of the People.

    Some highlights:

BS: “So would you limit the ability of trucking companies to adopt the driverless technology?”

TC: “Are you joking? In a heartbeat. I’d tell the DOT to write regulations. Driving for a living is the single most common job for high-school educated men in this country… Capitalism is not a religion… there’s no Nicene creed of capitalism… I don’t want to put 10 million men out of work.”

BS: “What’s to prevent this policy from becoming ‘Ludditism’?”

TC: “I don’t think the Luddites were insane. There were massive costs to the Industrial Revolution. They were used in capitalist propaganda to scare people.”

BS: “Should we be saying to folks, this is America, all you’re promised is the adventure of a lifetime, maybe you need to go to where the jobs are, maybe you need to actually move, to go to that fracking job in North Dakota…”

TC: “Yeah, leave your parents’ graves & the town you grew up in to go to some soulless city & become a cog in some corporation…”

BS: (interrupting) “… well, that’s a Biblical mandate. Leave the land that you’ve known & go to a new adventure.” [Seriously, he said that.]

TC: “We are not servants of our economic system. We are not servants of shareholders. We are human beings. Our concerns are real…”

    • Ol' Scratch November 20, 2018 at 3:27 pm #

That’s pretty good stuff if he’s genuine.

We are not servants of our economic system. We are not servants of shareholders.

That’s it in a nutshell. In the past 40 years or so, the globalists infiltrated everything (an insurgency war if there ever was one!) and have gradually imposed the idea that we are all servants of the holy markets and the almighty shareholders (mostly by buying off the top tiers of the managerial and professional classes, who foolishly imagined that they were immune from eventually being kicked to the curb as well). Now that the end game is in sight, it’s going to take a political revolution of sorts and a protracted battle thereafter to turn things back around and keeps these rogues at bay. That’s the best case. The worst case, which gets more likely every day, will be a total systemic collapse and utter carnage for who knows how long in the aftermath, with no guarantee that the eventual outcome will be any better than what we have now.

Trump, when asked about his attitude to Whitaker’s plan (the newly appointed acting attorney general) to resume the investigation of Servergate and other Hillary crimes, replied that this was the best way to solve the problem of witches conducting witch hunts, as in this case most of those who try to imprison him (in the best case scenario) for cooperation with Russia will be in the hot seat, and before his victory in 2016 they covered the crimes of Hillary Clinton.

Don’t remember saying anything like this – though of course such things happened. The Protestant model of living left many vulnerable. Catholics lived in villages and walked to their fields every morning. But of course our wide open spaces promoted the Protestant Way.

As a youth, I loved the novel, “A Light in the Forest” about a boy stolen by the Indians. He became one and then was forced to return to his White Family by some treaty. He hated it but loved his little brother. And when his Indian Family arranged to get him back and butcher a bunch of Whites, he couldn’t stand it. He was left between worlds.

          • Janos Skorenzy November 21, 2018 at 1:19 pm #

In traditional Europe, there is a Town Square – a Center. And is old peasant cultures, the people lived together in villages and walked to their fields in the morning. America – with its vast spaces – encouraged isolated houses, surrounded by one’s own fields.

The amazing Governor Bradford of Plymouth Colony, of whom even Cotton Mather was impressed, was happy for people when the Colony began to flourish and people moved away to find better pasturage, and/or to start new villages. But he mourned the loss of community and the spiritual strength they had in the old days, both there and back in Holland and before that, their native England.

As some have said, a hundred miles in nothing in America but a hundred years is a long time. In England (and the rest of Europe), the exact opposite attitude prevails. A whole different way of life. And yes, somehow it fits in with the whole Protestant “every man to his own conscience” thing, but of course it didn’t create it, since it started in Europe.

In some rural American White Communities there is a Center – but it isn’t spatial, but rather it’s a Person.

          • SoftStarLight November 22, 2018 at 1:16 am #

Ok, I think I pretty much got it. So basically because Protestantism has been prevalent here in the States, that mindset is a big part of what encouraged us to scatter across the landscape without the community centers like in Europe. So in that way, it made it difficult for us to develop the same sense of community. I never thought of that at all before so that is an interesting perspective.

Sorry to be dense but when you say there are rural White communities in America that have a person at the center are you referring to Jesus or like preachers? I am pretty sure you didn’t mean mayors. My thoughts are a little hazy after everything today :-).

          • Janos Skorenzy November 22, 2018 at 2:35 am #

Oh no, just someone influential in the community who stands out because of their character and service. Strictly unofficial, of course such a person might have official capacities as well.

Space matters – as does the modes of production as the Marxists say. But not everything reduces to it. That is their error.

I was reading about a middle aged Queen Elizabeth I when, in 1580 she rode down to the docks in Portsmouth to greet Sir Francis Drake after he had circumnavigated the globe and captured a treasure laden Spanish galleon to boot, half in the bag, her wig askew, hardly able to stay on her horse, slurring her words and cursing like a sailor, pleased beyond description when Sir Francis presented Her Highness with a thick gold necklace which he draped around her neck

… now that was a woman in charge!

The Tudors, with their precarious claim to the throne, after every male Lancaster and York descendant was killed in battle or executed during the Wars of the Roses.

Speaking of women’s sexual power over men, a major topic of the black dudes I work with is Big Butts on women, ‘specially white women. Its a big topic of conversation. For some reason they go crazy over big, full butts, Mucho Carne as the Puerto Ricans say.

    • Tate November 21, 2018 at 1:16 am #

You ever heard of steatopygia, brh?

This is bred in the bone. Hardwired in the primitive mind-scape. Also, if you can work it into a conversation, they’ll respect you immensely.

I always understood it was an evolutionary attraction, Tate. Women have always stored excess fat in their buttocks, to some degree, and sub-Saharan women more so (while men store it in their guts). It’s an evolutionary advantage to have good ‘storage’, hence the evolved attraction.

The interest in really skinny women is very recent and seems to have various social origins.

Top-level clothing designers just like something that makes a good hanger for their designs and it seems many of their designs (not my thing as I prefer normal clothes) do seem to drape better on a skinny frame.

Other than that, people used to admire slightly tubby people because the subliminal message was that they were well fed and therefore prosperous. The presumption then was that they were healthy. But even chubby people mostly had more physical exercise back then. I’ve seen a few photos of my maternal grandmother (big) and great-grandmother (huge) and there was no junk food back then. They washed clothes by hand for big families and carted food and other things around like mules.

When I was young, poor kids were skinny. Now skinny says middle class, prosperous and with a gym membership. And they drive to the gym 🙂 .

Interestingly I also read some time ago that there is a health advantage to carrying most of your excess fat on your butt. Visceral fat is what is primarily dangerous (possibly one reason why men have more heart disease, although women are catching up).

The odd thing was that they said even in fat people there’s a health advantage to carrying most of it butt-wise. A large butt-waist ratio is cardioprotective even in fat people, for reasons nobody really knows (or knew – it was a while ago).

But I’m not quite ready to quit earning a few bob. It would be nice to have my living room back, though, without a ruddy desk in it.

I’ve been reading thru some of these comments.

    Squeaky vs Green Alba, Phew!!!

    What a catfight!

Squeaky, I think you came out on top, but it was a close call.

    • Janos Skorenzy November 20, 2018 at 11:29 pm #

I find Squeaks to be eminently rational in the deepest sense. Admitting that she is very unusual and not a model for other women to emulate is rare. Everyone wants to capture the middle – and drag it off to some nameless place for some nameless purpose. Squeaks is willing to be by herself and not pretend to be something she’s not. Most can’t do that, male or female. And yes, it’s a much rarer achievement for Women. She can admit that too – easily. Also racially aware. Amazing. Gentlemen, try to keep up.

And note: She and the Traditional Woman, SSL, get alone great. Alba is the odd bird out, quarreling with both and everyone else.

      • Janos Skorenzy November 20, 2018 at 11:30 pm #

      • GreenAlba November 21, 2018 at 7:35 am #

I think Squeeky’s choice is just fine. I’d do exactly the same if I had the same opinion of men as Squeeks does. On some days I do.

We share an interest in puns too 🙂 .

        • GreenAlba November 21, 2018 at 7:36 am #

Perhaps an urge more than an interest…

        • GreenAlba November 21, 2018 at 8:28 am #

In fact I followed Squeeky’s choice from between the ages of 35 and 46 but for entirely different reasons – I had two kids to bring up and just got my head down and did it. I didn’t want my children having to deal with either any kind of substitute ‘dad’ or series of ‘dads’, or coming across any of the risks of introducing them to potentially problematic ‘strange’ men (I was a worrier).

I have never sat in pubs by myself, though, and there was a babysitting problem so I practically never went out. I didn’t end up writing poetry but there we are – I had my piano back then…

Maybe Squeeks won’t even last as long as I did. But you should not assume we are entirely as different as you’d like to think, despite our views on some matters.

The catfighting female is a strong fantasy among men. They love it and see it even when it isn’t there.

          • GreenAlba November 21, 2018 at 8:50 am #

When I say I hardly ever went out I did work, obviously. But as a supply/substitute teacher I had to do parents’ evenings occasionally, so I felt that, having had to impose on my neighbours to look after my kids for those, I didn’t want to impose any further by looking for help in having a social life. There was no money for paid babysitters.

Squeeky’s life is a lot more social than mine was back then. I’m not sure if she could cope with the combination of omni-present children and a lack of adult company outside (insecure) work – which involved other people’s monsters! – but who knows? A book of poetry would have come out of it anyway 🙂 .

I just had the odd quiet sob when I felt sorry for myself so no artistic gift for posterity!

        • Janos Skorenzy November 21, 2018 at 5:02 pm #

How dare you try to appropriate the Glory of these two women for your own self?

Here is the kind of Woman whom you get along with:

Check out her fatuous, smarmy little face under that huge Bishop hat. The Seer, Donovan, wrote his “Epistle to Dippy” with her in mind. She also wants to free prisoners, female ones that is. Things weren’t fair for them under Patriarchy you see. The male prisoners can rot. As Squeaks said, an unending quest for special treatment, be they high or low, in hell or in heaven. That’s why they can’t be let into heaven….

          • GreenAlba November 21, 2018 at 8:20 pm #

You poor thing, Janos. You sound like the little boy nobody asked out to play.

SSL is busy preparing for Thanksgiving but she’ll be back to give you a hug soon 🙂 .

          • SoftStarLight November 22, 2018 at 12:52 am #

Oh Alba, just face it. He can be super dreamy and you know it too :-). Thus the tension that is displayed here toward him. You didn’t have to say he is the little boy nobody asked out to play. He wasn’t insulting you, he is just assessing your viewpoints and suggesting you would get along with Rachel Treweek. Since I was brought into it, I remember one time you said he was my new Svengali. I had to research that at the time as I hadn’t heard of it. He does have a way of seeing right through people. And he is a Teacher and Philosopher should you wish to listen.

And yes I have been slaving in the kitchen, and loving it, but I always have time for hugs lol :-).

          • Janos Skorenzy November 22, 2018 at 2:02 am #

Treweek – sounds like a Harry Potter name. She and Alba belong at Hogwarts along with their Gay friend, Dumbledore.

I can’t forgive Rowling for making Dumbledore, gay – apropos of nothing, completely gratuitous and pc.

          • SoftStarLight November 22, 2018 at 2:37 am #

The name does sound somewhat contrived doesn’t it. To make Dumbledore gay was gratutious and they wanted to anger you :-). They don’t seem happy with just society and the Church. No they have to try to take magic from us too! But we know who the real Magicians and Witches are and they can’t come close ;-).

          • GreenAlba November 22, 2018 at 4:45 pm #

I’m not in the least worried by insults from Janos, but if you think telling someone they’d be better matched with a person with a ‘fatuous, smarmy little face’ isn’t a deliberate insult, I’ll have to leave your literary criticism lessons to someone else :-).

Water off a duck’s back, thankfully.

And I’ll leave you to dream over your Philosopher King.

I still hope you got on OK with your Thanksgiving dinner, if it’s been and gone, and that Ma-in-law held her tongue.

          • SoftStarLight November 22, 2018 at 8:19 pm #

Oh, I took it as he just meant you would get along with her. Based on a pic you posted several weeks back I thought you were a beautiful mermaid who frequented the beaches of the Outer Hebrides :-).

Sincere thanks for your Thanksgiving well wishes! It all went off without a hitch basically so I am very happy :-). I am ready to completely kick my feet up and relax but will have some more stuff to do tomorrow.

When do you ever grow out of being boy crazy lol? It’s an added layer of complication on my already fragile and volatile emotional existence ;-). An older friend of mine warned me it only gets worse in your thirties.

          • GreenAlba November 23, 2018 at 8:24 am #

Glad it all went fine, SSL.

And the Hebridean mermaid is really my older sister, Darryl – I took the photo, so cheated slightly there 🙂 .

      • GreenAlba November 21, 2018 at 7:43 am #

Poor Janos. You didn’t like the fact that I pointed out the bottomless hypocrisy of you and your church, exemplified by the fact that it castrated little boys before puberty so that their pure voices could better sing to the glory of god, so you have to find something else to attack me for, as you have no answer.

        Nothing new under the sun.

        • malthuss November 21, 2018 at 10:37 am #

HIS church? He goes to church?

castrated little boys before puberty so that their pure voices could better sing to the glory of god, (!!!!)

The Catholic Church has done some bad things.
That the priests and nuns didnt reproduce is stupid.
The shrewd Jews encouraged the rabbis to have large families.

Green Alba, there in not so great Britain, the country that
has blood on its hands. Irish blood, Chinese blood, Indian blood.

          • GreenAlba November 21, 2018 at 10:54 am #

All empires have blood on their hands, malthuss – I’m totally with your there. We have that in common.

You seem unaware of the history of the castrato.

          • GreenAlba November 21, 2018 at 10:55 am #

And yes, Janos is a constant apologist for the Traditional Catholic church.

          • Janos Skorenzy November 21, 2018 at 9:56 pm #

That was a perversion, a corrupt branch. Your NWO wants all men to be castratos – mentally and emotionally at least – and you think it’s great.

I don’t like Gregorian Chant, vastly preferring the Old Roman chant which ordinary men can sing and which has a variety of tones and emotions.

          • GreenAlba November 22, 2018 at 5:13 pm #

Stop making stuff up, Janos (as if…).

I don’t want any castrati anywhere and I know nothing of your New World Order.

I don’t like Gregorian chant either. But I do like a good Welsh Male Voice choir.

Another people that can love their small country without hating anyone else.

          • GreenAlba November 22, 2018 at 5:14 pm #

sorry, didn’t close my ‘castrati’ italics

    • GreenAlba November 21, 2018 at 8:05 am #

Sorry to disappoint you, brh, but I think Squeeky and I would get on quite well.

I will admit to an early prejudice, because I once looked up her pseudonym as it intrigued me. I had never heard of the original Squeaky Fromm so that was one thing I learned but I also came across a website where a small portion of her ‘work’ and some views that were rather unpleasant had been cited among a company who claimed she was a very unpleasant person and that she said some pretty nasty things.

I now find that Squeeky has a much more pleasant side, and while, I don’t share her views on homosexuality per se, or on women in general (I’m sure she’s right about a minority) I don’t find Squeeky at all bad. And she’s probably cleverer than me too, which doesn’t bother me at all either.

I would even buy her a couple of drinks since she doesn’t like paying for her own. In fact if Squeeky, SSL and I all met up I’d pick up the tab for the evening, because we Scots are like that. Now, try to get an Englishman to put his hand in his pocket and that’s an entirely different challenge…

      • SoftStarLight November 21, 2018 at 11:05 am #

I would bring some allowance money Alba so you wouldn’t have to pay for my drink :-). I wanna Cosmopolitan or maybe two. I don’t get out much being a sheltered girl and all and hardly drink.

          “I don’t get out much…”

See, we have something in common…

Wow. Kunstler is now actively *deleting my posts*. It’s not like I’m saying anything crude or offensive; just pointing out the hypocrisies and absurdities in so many of the statements he makes.

And don’t even get me started on all his outlandishly inaccurate predictions over the last 15 years.

Well, read this while you can. Dollars to donuts this post gets deleted within 24 hours. So much for a lively intellectual debate. I guess it’s all about protecting the brand, now. Kind of like the Donald Trump strategy.
