That “singularity” so many blab about is not what they think it is: the merging of human intelligence with Bill Gates’s Office products, leading to an orgasmic nirvana of infinite memoranda from your HR department concerning new diversity, inclusion, and equity policy. Rather, I speak of the magic moment when the necromancers of finance discover that the proverbial can they’ve been kicking is filled with Schrodinger’s cat food… and the road they’ve been kicking it down actually comes to a dead end up their own highly-credentialed wazoos. Economics will never be the same hereafter.
The bond market has gone south, and that spells The End for the great game of financialization. The bond market is Moby Dick compared to the little blowfish that is the stock market. The global money system is based on bonds, which are… what? That’s right: loans… promises to pay you X at some future moment. So, what happens when a daisy-chain of promises-to-pay gets broken? Or, perhaps more precisely, when all those promises lose their last shred of plausible reality? Why, the money that these broken promises are denominated in loses its essential cred. Trick question: how much is worthless money worth? (Answer: not enough to pay for a can of Schrodinger’s cat food.)
Which is where all this folderol leaves a lot of ordinary people all over Western Civ (and beyond!) trying to scratch up enough increasingly worthless money to feed the family and pay the landlord. Many will never understand what happened. But they will not be any less pissed off at the result.
This is the way the world ends for the hapless phantom known as “Joe Biden” the child-sniffing ectoplasm that haunts the White House these days of late empire. Somehow, the bamboozled nation has so far passively accepted the pranks and punishments laid on them by the backstage managers behind the Figment-in-Chief. Eight-plus percent inflation? No problemo, right? Eighty-five thousand new IRS agents on-board to drive you batshit while destroying your household and your posterity (ha!)? Half the population of South America flooding across the border? (The vibrancy! You no like?) A hundred dollar fill-up at the gas pump, and no heat for you this winter? (But… Netflix!) Drag queens to amuse and edify your children about the delirious realm of sexual pathology. All that…and how about a Russian hypersonic nuclear missile up your ass if the preceding somehow failed to move you? (Because: Russia, Russia, Russia…!)
Meanwhile, a trend is manifesting in other lands. The people of, first, Sweden and now Italy are voting in “right wing” nationalist governments — the horror — sending their equivalent of our Party of Chaos to the showers. This has irked the President of the European Union, one Ursula von der Leyen, no end. She has threatened to send Italy to its room without supper for the effrontery Of course, Madame von der Leyen’s fellow Germans have already been sent to their room without so much as a kartoffelklop, plus no heat or hot showers for you, Hansel and Gretel. Embrace the suck.
You may be sure that we’re in for the business here in America, too. The thermometers are trending down and Halloween won’t be so much fun when the little goblins come home to a house that’s the same temperature inside as the night air outside. Little Skippy’s face is turning blue, and not because he went trick-or-treating as Robert the Bruce.
The aforementioned Party of Chaos, the gang that queered the last big election, is surely gearing up to run a whole lot of work-arounds for massaging the November 8 midterm vote in their direction. Nothing is beyond them. One of their avatars, the podcaster Sam Harris, said it out loud a month ago: that lying and cheating is perfectly ethical in service to the Left’s being able to continue imposing its will upon all of us. Whoops! He let Schrodinger’s cat out of its hypothetical sack. The punishments must continue until morale improves! (Hope you enjoyed your career, Sam.)
And so it begins… as they intone in the horror movies when the contents of the family’s raised ranch, chattels, children, mom, dad, the golden retriever all get sucked out of the universe via some quantum portal in the television. Today the markets, tomorrow our beloved country will be overrun by what’ll look like an alien invasion of re-po men. This is the way the world ends… not with a bang… but with a physics lesson: the lonesome sound of Schrodinger’s cat’s meow.

Bank bail-ins, home lockdowns (assuming you have one, of course) due to one ruse or another (or maybe several!), and government issued and delivered (well, to the curb anyway) food rations (yum yum!) soon to come. But we’ll learn to like it… or else!
..and yet, through it all the media continues to double down on saving the “democratic ‘ Ukraine from Russia’s “invasion”.
The mainstream politicians and media profess astonishment at the Italian election. “Why have to ask, why are people voting like this, what has gone wrong?” says a prominent Greek establishment MP.
Hmm…. the 500-800 euro utility bills have arrived.. in Greece! Where 30% of the people GROSS less than 700 euros a month.
As in the US, people complain about prices rising. At least no apparent shortages here.
Yet the government here is big on LGBQT rights (and it’s a “right of center” govt), supporting democracy in the Ukraine. “We need to brace ourselves and be patient”. OK.
And MP Dora Bakoyiannis has to ask, “why are people in voting like that in Italy?”
Because they are fed up. Fed up with the stupidity that is directly affecting them. Fed up with politicians like you in Europe who talk while the house is burning down.
“…WE have to ask why people are voting like this…” typo.
Why??? To protect Sodomy and Abortion! I wonder how long it will be before Japan abolishes Abortion, criminalizes homosexuality and prohibits their promotion. How low will the population have to go???
Our leaders promote sodomy because that is what they are doing to us all and they want to kill our babies to fulfill their obligations of blood sacrifice to Moloch.
Bingo, Walter!
You know, back when I was in my throes of atheism years ago, I used to laugh at the Bible thumpers witnessing on the street about Revelation 13 and how it’s coming for all of us.
I’m not laughing now. In fact, the end-time biblical view is fast becoming the sole explanation for what is going on.
They vote like this because the young have nothing to look forward to but to a life of menial and oftentimes dangerous work at the local Amazon “fulfillment” center for wages that are low enough to qualify them for food stamps while living in their parents’ basement, if they’re lucky, or homeless encampment if they’re not, forever being disenfranchised and being told that’s just the way life is, while the Schwab mafia hoover up all the fake wealth for themselves and look for new ways to enslave them. You will own nothing, have no freedom and love it!
Why works better though.
You don’t have to ask unless you are a paid-off politician.
Socrates — Not to mention the hordes (yes hordes) pouring in from Africa and the strain on Italy, just like Gaddafi said there would be if Libya didn’t stop them. I’m not a fan of Middle Eastern dictators however, he was right.
And winter isn’t even here yet, for them or for us. A cheery piece on CBS news last night pointed out just how much more per month it would be for a family of 4 to maintain their standard of living and gave an excellent nugget of advice — (a little Mason jar with hundred dollar bills being floated in) — save any extra money you have. I’m not making this up. Families have to come up with at least an extra $200/month and my guess is it’s probably more.
Winter is too damned close.
Propane up from $1.89 to $3.19 per gallon since this time last year. An extra $250 to fill the tank. One fill per month (~$700 at the moment) to keep this cinderblock crackerbox at a toasty 52 degrees.
A little false flag in the Ukraine should improve that situation. Blow up a pipeline or two (Russia is still selling oil and gas to its enemies) and watch the oil and gas companies’ profits skyrocket.
Blackbird
“Russia is still selling oil and gas to its enemies” – for one simple reason – when Russia signs long-term contracts, it fulfils them!
In Russian culture, if one has signed an agreement or has given one’s word, one KEEPS it. Unlike some..
But you are right about false flag in Ukraine. Only it will not be little, it will be a BIG one. The imbecils in US, with their NATO sidekicks had already been actively encouraging ukro-nazis to shell nuclear power plant there – one of the largest in Europe; can one guess where we are heading from here? They – CIA, MI6, Mossad – the usual actors, are planning to pull there, in Ukraine the mother of all false flags (even outdoing their 9-11), and that will be in order to blame Russia and to start the much wanted and anticipated WAR with that country. It has been neocons wet dream for a very, very long time to dismember Russia and loot and pillage it’s rich natural resources. That wet dream came true for them once, in the 90s, after collapse of the USSR, but unfortunately for them, only for a brief moment. Vladimir Putin came and threw all those vultures out. Hence the the absolute seething hatred towards the man and, of course, relentless demonization.
They have been actively preparing the ground for the last 8 years, by building their proxy army in Ukraine and using ukranian neo-nazis to terrify the russian-speaking population of Donbass. In 8 years of constant shelling of it’s civilian population there over 15 thousand people have been killed – mostly women, children and elderly. Did you people know about that? And did you know that Russia did not “invade” Ukraine as an “aggressor”, it went in to PROTECT it’s people from total genocide. I bet your MSM does not tell you all that.
The neocons want war with Russia but what they fail to realise – Russia is fully prepared, ready and waiting..to hand the so-called West it’s arse back once again.
They had to do that every hundred or so years, but then these creatures forget the painful lesson and try again! This time Russia is going to finish the job for good. Should be a great relief to you people as well. These are the same creatures that are and have been screwing you up BIG TIME in your once great country. They are mostly members of the tribe..that control your money, politicians, media, education and ALL the rest. In other words – the biggest global parasite.
I will say it to you americans once again – wake up!
Stop your navel-gazing, lift your heads and take in a big picture of what is actually going on in this our WORLD. We are on the edge of the precipices. Get ready.
Katerina,
Yup, I knew that. However, Russia being upright and honorable can still play into the hands of the Great Resetters.
When I read (some of…) Putin’s speech, and read that de-Nazification of the government of the Ukraine was a primary objective, I realized my concept of a Russian blitzkrieg and annexation of the Donbas was misplaced. This war isn’t ending any time soon – and not before that west is thoroughly impoverished and Europe abandons the U$.
This is a reply to Katerina’s information loaded post.
The USA began building a very complex automobile culture starting in the 50’s, a culture that requires huge fossil fuel inputs and other natural resources in order to keep going. We’ve used up a lot of our easy to get and cheap resources, and we need a new supply of “stuff” to keep us going. The USA felt that when you win a war, you get to loot the loser. After all, that’s what we supported doing after the end of WWI – make those Germans pay for the war, they started it!
After the end of the cold war, of course the plan was to use Russia as a new source of “free” stuff. We’d pigged most of ours up, so now we’re looking for more. Russia didn’t build a huge, resource wasting consumer society like the US has. So she still has vast natural resources available, and because we “won” the cold war, Russia’s resources now belong to the US. Or so we think.
This behavior is the exact same behavior I’ve witnessed with a bunch of golden retrievers I was helping with on a farm. There was an alpha female in the group of 4 dogs who at feeding time would wolf her food down as fast as she could and then go over to another dog’s bowl and steal that dog’s food. She could do this with the smaller dogs that were afraid of her, but one dog was a big male goldie. Both female and male goldies had dominant characters, and both weren’t neutered. The big male would fight her when she approached his bowl, food flying everywhere, and fangs flashing and a lot of snarling. Had it been two males or two females, a serious dogfight might have occured. I’ve also seen alpha horses eating all their grain up and shoving other horses aside or even kicking them at the feed trough.
We’ve pigged up everything in our bowl and now we’ve got our big snout in Russia’s bowl. Russia has her head down, teeth showing, and fur rising. Right now she’s showing that low volume faint growl.
My female goldie continued starting food fights all her life, never got spayed, and started regular territorial dog fights as well. She stole food from me as well as from other dogs. People told me she was that way because I’d not neutered her. She produced two litters of great pups and was a great momma dog.
Woodchuck – yes, alpha males always eat first, and are generally better fed.
Stop me if you’ve heard this one.
Putin, Biden, Truss, Macron & Trudeau are all dining together – guess who eats first?
A rhetorical question, I know – an alpha and the rest, zetas.
@ Woodchuck:
You see the same behavior in goats. The alpha female is very aggressive about getting access to the most and best food. (One avoids keeping buck goats around any longer than necessary, as they cause a whole range of problems. So I have had less chance to observe their social behavior.)
If a goat gets its head stuck in the fence, at least one of the other goats will butt it repeatedly. Goats are firm believers in kicking each other when they’re down. Every goat in the herd is almost continually engaged in head-butting to reinforce its social position.
Humans do the same things for the same reasons, though this is usually verbal rather than physical.
My youngest daughter once asked me why some of the people in her social circle were always attacking each other over trivial things. (Since they were lliberals, these attacks were about pronouns, expropriating someone’s culture or sexual orientation, or not being “green” enough.) I told my daughter that these are “social dominance” behaviors and that none of these people even cared about the issues they were arguing about; the whole purpose was aggression for social dominance purposes.
You can learn a lot about people from watching goats.
Chickens also believe in pecking someone when they’re down.
Yes stock up on food so you don’t starve while saving “extra” money.
Katerina,
Blaming it all on the “tribe”? You’re breaking my heart with that filthy nonsense. It’s even slimier how you try to sneak it in there amidst some yummy chocolates, yum yum YIKES don’t eat that one it will poison you forever…. you should apologize to us all – sincerely. I rarely stand tall out in public with my full name in view and take a firm moral position and even rarer is to take the position of a “scold”, something I so truly detest in others BUT your blaming the challenges we face on one ethnic group shows a weakness and sickness that deserves a PUBLIC “fuck you”.
Putin addressed a group of Jews a few years ago. He said that Indeed, the Jews were the leading group in the Russian Revolution, and they promulgated a lot of useless social and economic policies, i.e. Communism.
He was very gentle and diplomatic, failing to mention that those policies led the the deaths of tens of millions of his country men. He’s aware of the power of the Jews and doesn’t want them as enemies – but he will not allow them to derail his vision of the new Russia. The Oligarchs who opposed him were driven out of Russia. Those that played along were allowed to stay. One of his best friends and mentors from the KGB is an ethnic Jew. As are most of his opposition of course.
Socrates – That was a most interesting report about the rising utility bills in Greece. I’m going to have to make it a point this Fall and Winter to touch bases with my extended paternal side of my family back in Greece to see what they have to report.
Of course, as a fellow Orthodox country, Greece tends to be far, far less hostile towards Russia than much of the rest of the EU, but I don’t know if that will be enough to ensure that Vlad allows natural gas to flow to the Hellenic Republic. I suspect the pipelines must route through countries that are being cut off.
Of course, Greece is not Germany, climate-wise, so I doubt many will freeze unless they live up in the ????? up in the mountains where is does snow in the Winter. A sojourn with relatives down by the sea may be in order. Most of my people are in Nafpaktos and can probably tough it out.
This blog cannot contend with the Greek alphabet, apparently. All of those ???? appeared in-place of the Greek word for “village.”
All I know is, this winter the Germans are going to have to learn to drink cold beer.
Germans do drink cold beer.
Just imagine for a prolonged moment of serious inquiry; what would “government” distributed rations look like…. then snap out of that nightmarish dream and realize that is exactly what some “Planner” somewhere in the byzantine alphabet soup is doing. They are planning this exact thing you just illustrated with your spot on comment. Thank you for posting.
JamesNix
You speak for the “public”? Wow! And who give you that mandate?
Or you do not know what that word means?
Here is what I will advice – educate yourself before posting comments. Otherwise you are just embarrassing yourself..
Katerina : you nailed it!
In 1914 the Clowned Heads of Europe began a festival of murder that they called the Great War, and then World War i. America tried to avoid getting involved but unfortunately fell for the hype and joined in. In 1941 the continuation of that festival of murder paid dividends in the second act of the European conflagration called Word War ii. America had to join that one and had at least a moral high ground on which to do so.
We now find ourselves not only embroiled in yet another European mess, but actually stared the damn thing and are continuing to escalate the damn thing, to what end, God only knows.
All of the garbage that is going on as you so astutely point out James is working up the world population, and clearly the US people at the forefront to bring about that climactic game of death that shall be World War III. The only good thing about that is that while it will certainly “solve” a number of woke problem movements, unless God steps in to halt it just before it goes totally crazy, we are all going to be seriously fucked. Pray.
Those damn Russians and sitting on our resources. How dare they!
Hmm…that reminds me of an American nephew asking me “how’d all those goddamned Towelheads end up living on top of OUR oil?”
Yeah, I thought he was joking at first, but it later conspired that he really meant “OUR oil”. How’s that for home-schooling for you?
That was indeed a well known joke that did the rounds years ago. Nothing to do with home schooling.
Now now GA rl was attempting to relay his disdain for the rubes that want their children to be educated in reading writing and rithmatic not how to be a homoSEXual or how evil orange man bad was.
Get with the propaganda.
For what shall we pray? Divine intervention? In my belief system, God intervened in human affairs two thousand years ago. Apparently, His admonitions are too difficult for us to practice, so be it.
Well, you could pray for a quick death (no torture) and one that does not involve a government re-education camp. I pray for the return of Jesus for only He can stop the madness. I figure that we were given 2,000 years to follow His example after which time the wheat would be separated from the chaff.
Walter I pray for this daily for my grandchildren aged 3, 7 and 17. Dear God take them quickly and not let them suffer torture and degradation. I know now why people sometimes won’t face the music…it’s too terrible to contemplate.
this has gone on fot thousands of years–life has never been better for the human race, not even close–if you do not know history you would think this is all new–small pox has wiped out the human race at least 3 times–the plague, war, starvation, disease–not having decent sanitation or water supply–i could go on and on—jesus never showed up in the past except in peoples brain thoughts and jesus won’t be showing up anytime soon–you might as well be wishing for santa claus,at least he will be at your local store–you can pray all you want as those nukes come streaming from the sky….it over, for the 30 percent left it will be time to start all over again
Outstanding comment my friend! Truly outstanding!! I couldn’t agree more with you my friend.
For us humans, loving our neighbors as we love ourselves is is too difficult to practice. What we wish to do instead is to destroy our neighbors with nuclear weapons. It could be that such an outcome isn’t what God had planned for the planet. He might dislike us but He still likes canines, felines, opposums, etc. When we are about to burn up and poison His entire project, God has to stop whatever He is working on somewhere else and show up over here because we’ve created an emergency situation. God’s son is the fellow with pure love in his heart, lacking the capability to discipline us. I’d describe Jesus as a good humored old grandpa who dotes on his grandkids and spoils them. He’s got children sitting around him, telling the crowd if they hurt one of these kids, better to be dumped into the ocean with a huge rock tied on you.
But what if the old man is another matter entirely with a different personality? Say, like a dad who is professional military and his male offspring get a taste of boot camp while growing up. Like when you misbehave, a size 12 boot smacks your ass. In history, Jehovah has demonstrated a short fuse, once repenting from making us in the first place and tossing nearly everyone in the ocean.
He excluded from punishment only one single and necessarily incestuous family. Jarek will be interested in this idea, that we once were a tiny “racially pure family” and now look at what’s happened to us! Mogrels and Mongols somehow developed again in the human species and we have deviated from our once pure and holy original white racial stock. What would happen with poor Jarek if it’s somehow determined that ‘ole Noah and his offspring all originally had light brown skin, dark eyes, and black hair? Whatever…..
My guess is that if divine intervention will be required, let’s all hope it’s Jesus that shows up and not Jehovah. Jehovah did stuff like tossing a bunch of kids into a pit of unknown depth because they’d made fun of one of his prophets. He also killed Onan for masturbation. I don’t think the wokesters will like Jehovah much at all. Judgement Day won’t go well for them.
I should have said “global financial crisis.”
The rest of the crises seem to be ongoing.
Leading the pack over the cliff are Liz Truss and Joe Biden (and who kow how far in the background: Klaus Schwab).
One commenter somewhere stated that actually Trudeau in Canada is pulling Washington, DC’s strings. This is not as far-fetched as it might seem, since Canada channels both the UK and the WEF and farts their influence into the USA.
Canada’s foreign minister, Chrystia Freeland, is a Ukrainian Banderista.
. . . And Trudeau is a WEF-er.
So, both strains of madness come together at the top of Canada’s government, in addition to the traditional UK influence on Canada.
We are effed!!
And, speaking of phony elections – if stolen elections were not a real possibility, then why does the GOP push Voter ID laws so much??? Trump’s great sin is going where Richard Nixon was afraid to go back in 1960, when it was a distinct possibility that the Dead voting in Chicago pushed JFK into the White House.
Cook county to be exact.
That Democrat and mob cheating is what caused Nixons paranoia and Watergate.
They have been doing the same nonsense ever since.
Cheating, and saying the other side is doing exactly what they are doing.
The best part is projecting their inner racism off on everyone else.
Imagine getting away with this shit for fifty years and doubling down on the bullshit every decade or so.
Projecting your crimes on your opposition is an amazingly effective way to turn low-information decision makers against your opponent and I have witnessed that personally and continuously over my term in elected office. When you are playing to a distracted, uncaring, self-centered audience the first lie stirs the emotions, especially hatred and fear in the mindless minions.
Dumb ’em down then work ’em up. The evil democrats do this so well while the uncaring republicans cover their own asses and rob us all blind as well while they still can. Politics has replaced governance and the lunatics are now running the asylum, right Dopey Joe?
Disgusting.
The dichotomy: ‘evil democrats’ and ‘uncaring republicans’… probably could be replaced with ‘the uniparty’ as a better description.
It is the two sided coin which reads “heads, I win” on the obverse and “tails, you lose” on the reverse.
It’s the way of the world, at least in the US, UK and EU.
‘Projection’ and ‘low information decision makers’ certainly describe the characteristics of members of the ‘uniparty’.
“That government is best which governs least” is attributed to Thoreau, who was in favor of abolishing government. Interesting theory, however tribes in remote locations (there must be a few left on the planet) still have some sort of hierarchy.
How long does it take for a society to emerge from the ‘state of nature’ to form organizations to provide for efficient commerce and common defense? How long does it take for those same societies to devolve into politics replacing government. Put another way, politics is baked into the cake. How long does it take for the cake to rise?
We’re living within its rise big time. Does it erupt into a huge burst or ungraciously collapse onto itself? Seems we’ll soon find out.
It occurs to me that if the vast majority of those whose sole qualification for holding the voting franchise seems to be the ability to fog a mirror, (except if you are a Democrat!) – then perhaps the mob democracies that most western republics and constitutional monarchies have degenerated into……are no longer responsible and viable forms of government.
It may well be the case that we need to look at RAISING more barriers to the voting franchise based on rational and reasonable qualifications designed to weed out the insane – the mentally deficient – the apathetic – the ignorant – and the indigent charges who are largely subsisting off of the taxes of those who actually labor and produce things of value.
Just a thought.
I know. I know. It probably violates all of the ubiquitous and civilization ending DEIA decrees that are proliferating like rabbits on steroids.
And they will continue to get away with it. Like Walter B says, they just project what they are doing onto their opponents and voila! Victory! Over and over.
At some point the ‘victory’ openly becomes the illusion it is.
I think we are living one of those times.
We most certainly are.
The Grateful Dead?
I wondered the same exact thing…. 😉
The crisis is here. Those that find themselves here without tools, PM’s, assets and some land will be the first to go to the camps. After all, where else can they go?
Cape Cod???
LOL!
Nickel – they don’t have to go to the camps, but they will because they are fearful. Fear is a disease. There are those of us – you are one – who are fearless. When it comes to fight or flight, having become fearless, our default response is to fight – we have no other option – we know no other reaction.
As the supply chain and energy distribution network continues to crumble, those living without anything put away may find themselves in a precarious situation.
See, I have family in Italy and those progressive socialists thought it odd that I left a glamorous city and home at the beach for a forgotten-about rural area. They didn’t seem impressed by my garden, wood stove, solar rig and water harvesting. They thought it a silly waste of time by a misguided prepper. After all, how can I attend all the pride parades living out in the woods as I do?
Guess what? Now their electric bills are more than they earn. Now they sit in the dark and use just enough energy to charge up their phones. It wont get cold enough for them to freeze but it certainly will be an uncomfortable dark Winter.
I know that what is happening to friends and family in Europe will soon be happening here and I think the majority of our young people would gladly march into a camp if they were told that there were cell phone charging stations there.
I’m convinced of it.
I agree; then there are those of us who just don’t have any alternative choices because we don’t have the setup to support ourselves when the economy tanks.
You came across like you were all squared away.
Not the children who are taught quietly – my sons included.
“Teach your children quietly, because some day sons & daughters will rise up and fight while we sit still.” ~ Mike & The Mechanics
Nickel,
Time to drag out the old “iron rice bowl” as a concept for career management.
Will work for food…will fornicate for food…will kill for food.
Never having lived in want, nor read history…how would the younger generations know what is in their future?
Bo knows…
Nickel knows…
For a long time, I’ve known I was camp bound.
Stop Mary. Right now. Stop.
Well I won’t go willingly – but I’m just saying I’m one without the necessary support system. But we’ll see.
Mary – a person is who they surround themselves with. You do have the necessary support system. Surround yourself with the right people – you know who they are.
Look to your left then to your right. Those you see will not leave you behind – will not leave you twisting in the wind – will not let you be taken unwillingly to any camp.
Don’t confuse our values with their values. They have no honor – no decency – no self-respect, nor should they.
They will not prevail – not even close – we will. Stay fearless.
@ MaryQueen:
If you have something to offer–skills and willingness to work–you can probably find people who will appreciate that. It you’re too old to be much use (as I am), your situation could be problematic, but old people have traditionally cared for children while their parents were working at other things.
I don’t know if you have or want a religious affiliation, but there are some very conservative churches around. This is where you are most likely to find a support structure.
Thanks, Ron and Anthea. 🙂
They don’t have the resources to put 100 Million, or however many approximately, in camps.
Which isn’t to say they wouldn’t like to disappear the more troublesome; see for example Jan 6.
Point being, you don’t have to go to camp, if you don’t want to.
Amen. It’s a choice. Refuse to make that choice. Remain fearless – remain certain.
And keep some buckshot and slugs along with your ghost pepper shot.
You are far too smart for that sort of defeatism. One key is to be able to survive the disruptions that are coming. I’ll bet you can name ten things off the top of your head that will improve your outcome. I still have a list of things I need to do. Its not too late, go do some of the things on that list.
Another key is to have valuable skills that fit your capabilities. I’m never going to make it as a logger chopping wood (I’m female and over 50). But can I deliver a baby? Do I know how to can food, make cheese, and use naturally growing herbs as medicines? Pick and choose how you can educate yourself. There are books on how to build a chicken coop for crying out loud. I have a book on how to build a smoker.
JHK’s World Made by Hand series is chock full of information on surviving in a new world with a lower standard of living. Its one of the most fascinating aspects of his novels. The research he packed into the story makes you really forget that you should be learning as you enjoy the story line. No matter how things crack up, there are truths in those books about how people survive. Some cope with alcohol and pot, some have vital skill sets, some are shysters (thinking of the power hungry guy in Albany that Brother Joseph kills), some go to ‘camps’ such as the rich apple farmer, Stephen Bullock’s estate.
Suburban_elk is right in his comment below, there aren’t enough resources to round up and house millions of folks. Start planning your future….
I agree that we have to plan our future – and not just accept what rolls up to the door.
But we aren’t the only ones planning our future.
Try to build a World Made by Hand, and watch that hand get slapped – slapped with an axe. All our baby-birthin’, deer-skinnin’, electricity-improvisin’ skills won’t do us any damn good when they come to seize our homes for failure to pay property taxes (because we wouldn’t take the chip). When that day comes, it’s off to the camps (which may actually be urban highrises), or kill and be killed.
Property taxes are the taxes you don’t get to be exempt from just because you are poor.
Yep, agreed, Disaffected. I’ve predicted before that debts (I think it could be any kind of debt) will be dealt with by forfeiture of assets, At that point Blackrock will be the law. I suppose they already are but not openly in front of our eyes yet.
The old debtors’ prisons (for those who even know they existed) will be looked back on nostalically as holiday camps.
Nostalgically, even.
Yes, at what point in the impending disaster/decline do the rules relax? When am I safe to shoot suburban wild turkey without fear of going to jail, or burn trash in my driveway? I certainly hope “their” resources run out first. I got big plans.
“Off to the camps” won’t be that easy to pull off in the USA. When “they” arrive to seize our homes “they” might find themselves going down in a hailstorm of bullets.
Off topic with a whacky idea……
One very good survival weapon might be a .22 long rifle hollow point with curare packed inside the hollow bullet. This would be a weapon much more dangerous than a shotgun or deer rifle. Curare can be made at home from plant substances obtained via the internet (if it’s still working by that time).
If a small bullet filled with curare hits you anywhere on your body, you’ll be dead very soon. It needs to be a low power bullet that stays inside instead of blowing back out. It will be the same as getting hit by a pygmy’s blowgun poison dart, only there will be even more poison inside a bullet. You could make .22 short subsonic poison rounds that would be very quiet yet very deadly. It would also make an ideal hunting round to take down deer quietly.
Yes, Woodchuck, you are definitely in a different position from us across the Pond. We will be like fish in a barrel.
That’s pretty much my line of thinking.
Blackbird, you underestimate the value of the planning you have done. 80% of our population is completely unprepared. You don’t like my number? Then pick one you do like. If there are camps, the urban idiots who order Door Dash every 3 days and can’t start a fire on their own will be the first rounded up. After all, they don’t own any guns. That’s a huge chunk of our country’s population. Those that have a little house with a little land in flyover country who have amassed a few months of food and have the ability to partially live off the land and defend themselves are the last people the government will go after. And that depends on how much government is left.
You don’t have to outrun the grizzly. You DO have to outrun the guy running next to you.
Do I have to point out yet again that the reason some people are fortunate enough to have viable lives in the country is specifically because so many had to leave it for the towns and cities?
I get that the land-owning brigade feel fortunate. That’s fine – and understandable. But the smugness could be done without.
I live in a city, albeit a relatively compact one. I also live in a small Victorian flat defined almost as much by its lack of storage space (before you even start on tins of food and bottles of water) as it is by its elegant cornices. We don’t live on takeways – we cook fresh food just like our non-urban betters. Although, as a treat, we occasionally buy a fish supper, a supposedly British tradition that was apparently brought to us by Jewish immigrants from Portugal.
One time my friend, who knew how to fish and clean a deer, but preferred take-out, told me that if the shit hit the fan she was going to go to the FEMA camp down the street from me.
Say what??? I had no idea there was a FEMA camp down the street from me, even though I had been to the outskirts for disaster training. They didn’t let us go to the rest, and it didn’t occur to me that there was housing there.
Anyway, she didn’t have the same reaction to ”FEMA camp” that I do. She assumed it was a place for shelter, water and food.
They won’t have to round anybody up, is my point. People will round themselves up. Think Superdome during Katrina.
Hitler and Stalin had no problem rounding up millions of folks. It was hardly an inconvenience. That said, I’m going to repeat what I told a distraught young person yesterday:
No one that knows how to distill spirits (good for people and cars) is going to go hungry. No one that can tend to livestock is going to go hungry. No one that has mastered the skill of welding is going to go hungry.
As for myself, I’ve stockpiled over a million parts needed to build or repair electronics. We may, after all, want to keep some of our more complex tools working and I have the means to do so.
Hitler and Stalin had no problem rounding up millions of disarmed citizens. In the USA, that won’t be so easy. Many people will be hiding in the bushes with guns, and they will be firing them once “the whites of the eyes” of the enemy become visible. Gotta take those guns away first. When people have nothing to lose they lose it.
NickelthroweR, Great examples on skill sets that will be invaluable down the road! And I especially appreciate you offering encouragement to someone who needed it, someone who might not realize their destiny is in their own hands.
Your stockpiling of spare parts just reminds me more of A World Made By Hand. The local junkyard on the outskirts of town did a good business….
We may not agree on the who and how many will be rounded up, but that’s ok. Keep working your plans.
Drama Queen of the Damned.
Doing OG’s dirty work when he’s not here to do it himself.
That’s what friends are for…
Isn’t it so sweet, their bromance?
Mommy’s lil helper!
That was a good one Jars.
Didn’t Billary once famously say in a speech a few years ago that we need camps for adults?
Adults weren’t having fun because there are people like her running things.
In so many ways, you’ve already placed yourself in a camp – “Victimhood”.
Absolutely not. More like aware of reality.
Nickel — The camps will be homeless encampments which we already have an impressive amount in cities. With rents rising much faster than wages or benefits, people will first be living in their cars, then tent cities. I hope I’m wrong.
I don’t think Bill Gates will let anyone camp on his farmland or Bezos, on his vast ranch in Texas.
Mexico maybe? It’s warm down there……..
The question is how much bullshit will the most brainwashed citizen tolerate before shaking themselves out of their shared world of Washington propaganda for a different view of government. One which refutes their common view that government is there to serve the people. The answer is in our future and will determine how much freedom will be lost before they turn off the TV and grasp reality.
Ever hear of a blivet? That would be a 5 pound bag stuffed with 10 pounds of shit. That is what at least 50% of the American public has become, and frankly, I fear it is probably closer to 80%. We have been overstuffed with every possible thing, distraction, and activity that can be imagined and are endlessly bombarded with bullshit by the medias both mainstream and social.
America is going to take absolutely everything that is stuffed down their throats until they explode in a blast of flying feces. Remember, our form of government was set up for Americans to get involved directly and take their turn at it, NOT to pay hired whores to do the work for them.
Just like our population pays others to mow their lawns, clean their houses, raise their children, when you whore it out, you lose control and eventually disease and corruption ruins everything.
Its been all about those “hired whores” since 1913.
They didn’t unite and overthrow with Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, etc. And they aren’t now with CCP, USA, etc. People are used to being cattle and led to the slaughter house. That is all they know. History has repeated itself so many time in this aspect.
Think about it… a society of educated (history), strong, alert, vigilant, survival-oriented, freedom and liberty loving people… who were witnessing over these many decades the utter destruction of their great country (USA) that the Founding Fathers created, would have united and purged the government and institutions of all bad actors and influences a very long time ago. What we tolerate today is incredible. We are degraded and feckless. USA one of the shortest-lived empires in history.
Amb
I have to say this to you – you are very much on the ball! Except putting Stalin in the same league as Hitler and Pol Pot! Stalin has been VERY much misrepresented in the West – well the narrative, BS and propaganda is what the West is all about! When Stalin took over from Lenin, Russia was still very much infested in ruling circles with members of the tribe that carried out that “Russian Revolution”. Despite being a Georgian, he was, first of all, a Russian patriot. His great task was to get rid of them there and he did just that! Again, hence the demonization of the man in the West. Let me remind you who controls the West’s Media… that’s right!
In Russia, he is regarded as a HERO. For THAT very good reason. Educate yourself on some actual history rather than just repeating the west’s media garbage. They have an agenda. You need to see beyond that and raise above it.
Try reading the 2 Stalin books by Stephan Kotkin for a less sympathetic interpretation of the 1st great helmsman of the revolution.
Stalin was a ruthless MARXIST-LENNINIST piece of shit who was way worse than A.H. and Mussolini who were more or less trying to set up regimes to combat Bolshevik madness and the destruction of European civilization. Stalin was why Ukrainians and poles absolutely detest Russians to this day.
workingclasshero?
As great Andrei Martinianov would say: you cannot tell shit from shinola. Sad case..
It’s an ironic name choice, isn’t it?
Clueless, he is.
YO! “Tribe Hater” STFU.
You’re clueless Katerina. You can’t justify a mass murderer.
To amb
Ouuh.. we got a bruised ego here I see.. Clueless? I have written essays on Russia that were published and were very well read – have you done such thing? I don’t think so.
Clueless is you, believing all the crap, propaganda and lies that you people are brainwashed with 24/7. As I have suggested to another one “know all” here – EDUCATE yourself with proper information before posting comments! Otherwise you are a joke.
And do not even attempt to take me on – I will gring you into powder when it comes to Russian history. Is that clear?
Katerina,
Yeah, murdering 30 million of your compatriots because they produced food outside the diktats of the State. What a HERO!
Educate yourself, indeed.
You mean the Ukrainians?
Soul Forensics
And you got that amazing “knowledge” from exactly where?
“What we tolerate today is incredible.” ~ amb
Yes, amb – what we allow becomes acceptable, so here we are.
Ever see someone spit on the floor in church? “I’m sorry sir, we don’t allow that in our church.” – that’s not acceptable.
Ever see an invited guest curse at the dinner table? “I’m sorry sir, we don’t allow that kind of language at our dinner table.” – that’s not acceptable.
If nothing is ever said, any behavior that goes unopposed is deemed acceptable by default, for that same reason.
I repeat. What we allow becomes acceptable. Over.
@ Ron Anselmo:
Yup. Oftentimes, our downfall is that we think we can ignore intolerable behaviors, or we expect that the offending person will “figure it out.” Often we are just blindsided by bad behaviors–unprepared to deal with them because we never imagined that someone would come to our house or church and start spitting on the floor, putting out their cigarettes in the kitchen sink, pissing on the floor around the commode, passing out drunk in the foyer, or talking dirty to your teenage daughters. This stuff is unexpected.
I’ve found that the best approach is to say, “I think it’s time for you to go home,” whenever you encounter a serious infraction. I used to get a lot of practice saying this when I had teenage daughters at home, and there were a lot of teenage boys buzzing around. Except I often had to say, “Call your mom to come and get you–and if she’s not here in 15 minutes, you need to start walking.”
“Oftentimes, our downfall is that we think we can ignore intolerable behaviors, or we expect that the offending person will “figure it out.” Often we are just blindsided by bad behaviors–unprepared to deal with them because we never imagined that someone would come to our house or church and start spitting on the floor, putting out their cigarettes in the kitchen sink, pissing on the floor around the commode, passing out drunk in the foyer, or talking dirty to your teenage daughters. Exactly Anthea. Whenever I bring up this concept, the intimation is that people will scale it up, because scaled up, it’s exactly why we, as a country & as a culture, are where we are today.
By now, nationally speaking, we know what to expect. It’s time for 81 million (supposedly) to go home, and we need to tell them so – in no uncertain terms. No 15 minutes, we’ve had enough, they just need to start walking, or else.
BTW Anthea, your family, husband, daughters & extended family is very lucky to have you.
Edit: …*are* very lucky to have you.
Might as well confess my sin – Q is out there somewhere…
“Never underestimate the power of Bullshit.” – George Carlin.
“Schrödinger’s cat”, Well there goes my day. Haven’t thought about that one in a while.
I am unsure whether I thought about it or not. I may have. I may not have. My wave function will collapse when I sober up. Then, I will know for sure.
Much less, Schrodinger’s cat FOOD.
LMAO.
It’s funny, cat food has been very much on my mind over the weekend.
Dog food has been on mine. I’ve been thinking about this for months, but finally plucked up the courage to plant the seed in my husband’s brain that he should try to acquire something for putting the dog to sleep, should that become necessary, when we can’t even get food for ourselves. He didn’t say anything, so I’ll leave it for a while then mention it again. Even when he can be persuaded that something is happening, he insists on carrying on as if it isn’t.
People will be living on dog food after they’ve killed and eaten their dogs.
You married a weak man. Can you own up to that? Once you have, try to understand why you did that.
C’mon Man. Keep Fido fat. Remember Leningrad, 1942
It’s a greyhound. They don’t do fat.
Greyhounds are mentioned in the Bible.
It seems to me a dog that can catch game for you is a useful thing.
She’s very interested in cats. I suppose we could take her to one of the larger parks and try to find squirrels, which both of our greyhounds have found very enticing, but otherwise game isn’t in great supply in central Edinburgh and there will be a lot of competition!
The other problem, of course, is that greyhounds aren’t very easy to train. Once she’d caught the squirrel she’d very likely not come back before someone else got it.
But re the Bible, yes, they are about 5000 years old – a pure breed that has bred out its deficiencies, by and large.
Don’t put your dog down GA. Even during the World Wars nobody in the UK or the USA starved. The only time in the USA when we had real food shortages was right after the War of 1812, in 1815, when a volcanic eruption in Malaysia blotted out the sun, ruining crop yields worldwide. It was disruptions caused by the war combined with ‘The Year Without a Summer’ that messed with the crops — and in spite of that no real famine occurred.
@jarek,
Weak for not wanting to murder his dog?
What are you an idiot?
brh – I think the food shortages will be contrived. However, it’s not the absolute lack of food that will be the problem, but rather the fact that, in the absence of cash, those who won’t take injections/implants won’t have access to funds to pay for it.
During and after the war people had ration coupons (my mother used to lend my kids her last ration book for school projects!), but you didn’t need to get jabbed to get one.
Got a nail salon in the area?
The local Vietnamese will be happy to solve that problem for you.
ben: Read her last sentence, genius.
@jarek
I did!
I don’t see weakness.
I see denial WHICH IS A huge difference.
He is invested in the narrative and is not yet ready to admit he was wrong and that he has been lied too bigly.
Are you weak for getting into name calling and stupid heated discussions about subjects you are wrong about and never saying whoops sorry I was wrong?
He still won’t admit that the vaccine made him terribly ill. He’s a weak, brittle person.
Last thing you should do is kill your dogs. Not to be morbid, but they’ll be more useful than small kids if it ever comes to that. (Not that I’m advocating killing kids either!). Dogs can hunt; even small dogs can help kill vermin. And, dogs are great deterrents to criminals and invaders. They also will eat almost anything – scraps – anything. And, when you can’t afford to feed them, they’ll find food on their own. They are perfect companions when the s–t goes down. When I grew up in a rural area poor as proverbial dirt, all the families – including ours – had dogs. The notion of dogs only as “pets” is an urban/suburban luxury notion. Keep them with you!
Saint,
…The goddamned thing is dead…trust me….
Roasted on a spit with a side of Pill Bugs.
Is that being served with spatchcocked plovers?
Spatchcocked plovers indeed. No plovers in these parts. I’ll make do with treerats, feral dogs, and and the occasional long pork.
You’ll have to check if your long pork is vaxxed, St E. Not sure how resilient spike protein, lipid nano-particles and graphene molecules are to high temps. We could ask Pfizer if they did any trials.
Nah, the GMO has to be kept at negative 70 degrees, remember?
It shouldn’t be a problem with proper cooking
Sir: Simply astounding prose for the ages!
(The Dark Ones arriving.)
It made my thumbs prick too!
Well this is strange conjecture.
SOCIAL MEDIA IGNITES RUMORS OF XI ARREST: Social media accounts over the weekend spread speculation that Chinese President Xi Jinping had been arrested and deposed by the Chinese Communist Party. While this is not impossible, it is unlikely. Xi had just returned from Uzbekistan for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting and was likely in a period of quarantine due to China’s zero Covid security policies.
Watch for appearance by Li Qiaoming, the answer might be there.
gordon chang says something is up in china but does not know what
My Moscow friend/financial analyst says rumors of a coup of some kind against Xi are Taiwanese propaganda.
He also says Putin enjoys strong support.
Also, that the number of those fleeing the country to avoid military service are is tiny compared to the millions willing to defend their country.
I would say that it would be really stupid for the Chinese to overthrow Xi when the National Assembly is next month and all they have to do is vote him out if they want.
But then I remember that the Democrats voted to impeach Trump both right before the election AND after he was already out of office.
But ain’t no stupid like Democrat stupid.
When people say that Xi was ousted in a coup, or Putin is dying of cancer or Shoigu was removed or any other in the relentless tsunami of propaganda they supply, I just roll my eyes and move on.
Markets just went green.
I’m going to take my profits and go buy another plastic Halloween pumpkin at Home Depot.
Fill it with Cheez Doodles while they’re still available.
I am waiting for them to offer a plastic dirty diaper wearing Dopey Joe Biden for my porch that comes complete with drooling action and garbled sound bites.
LOL!
How about a Halloween inflatable? Camela Herass can blow it up for you.
Get the ‘blow up’ kind, put it outside, tied down to resist strong and changing winds.
As TOTAL aside to all the political bullshit going on….or, then, again, maybe something totally related to it:
the scientists at CERN publicly stating that they are communicating, via a portal produced by the collider and related machines, with ‘something’ from a different dimension than ours. They further point out that the ‘something’ they are communicating with is an entity with a personality. (This is not some fringe group or scifi addicts, this is real and coming from some of the premier physics people on the planet.) Think things are weird now, just wait!!!
Doc, I searched it and could not find anything. News like this would be covered up? A wormhole through the space/time continuum? The God particle perhaps?
If true, I am thinking like Cthulu or something like that is going to come thru. Megadrahaggish or whatever, will take one look at our society and haul a$$ back thru the gate.
Think opening the gates to the Bottomless Pit.
Ben Fulford showed a video of two reporters discussing it. It’s also being reported by der Speigel and several outlets in Switzerland. Wouldn’t it be a hoot if what jumped out was a red humanoid, with horns and a long arrow tipped tail.
🙂
Twitter has an interview by Anthony Patch @MichaelBurea where this fellow states exactly that. Patch has been active on CERN for decades and even worked there if I remember correctly.
So, whether it is factual or not may be questionable, but the FACT is that it is being stated openly in public which is just as good.
“just might get some sleep tonight”
Sorry Doc, but if it’s coming from Europe, or more specifically Germany, it has zero credibility…(ie We’re going to refuse imported nat gas and collapse our economy and then we’re going freeze until we get our way…) Too bad so sad…
@ neurodoc:
My guess is that these reports are fake, and they have some strategy in mind in promoting them.
On the other hand, I known highly intellignet and knowledgeable people (online) who believed in aliens–and who also believed that some people at the highest levels had been promised fabulous technologies.
My thinking about “aliens” is that they exist primarily in another dimension, but are able to manifest at will in this dimension. Some of them are benevolent and some are evil. It would be unwise to make deals with any them.
Agreed, Anthea. No deal, Lucille.
Another aspect that has been reported is that at least one “race” of the Visitors tends to be accomplished liars. For what it’s worth.
Some of the most credible research / reportage into this area of interest came from the late Professor John E. Mack, whose Harvard colleagues attempted to get him fired when his interviews with abductees became so convincing that he was forced to accept that something else than delusion, delirium or headline-seeking was involved.
He also went to Zimbabwe to talk to some of the children, grown up now, who claimed to have been approached by alien beings in their schoolyard. As I reall there’s a video about this on YouTube.
Anthea—Like when, a couple of months ago, suddenly the US military, or maybe NASA, was saying that, yeah, some UFOs were the real deal?
I have a friend who worked for several years at the collider in Bonn, Germany. I’ll try to call him later and get some info, if he has any.
This is basically the plot of the video game DOOM.
Or various sci-fi/horror pictures like Event Horizon.
I played that game years ago and managed to get to the end using cheat codes. The final screen was one with the Great Demonic Beast where there was nothing that you could do to kill him, you could only stand there and DIE!
Perhaps they were telling us something.
I checked the CERN website years ago and back then they stated that one of their nefarious goals was to open portals to other dimensions. I may have been one of the few that read this and found it disturbing, but when I went to their site after reading your post there is not much there anymore that is informative or revealing about what they are doing.
Clearly they are up to something that will not end well IMHO, so we shall have to wait for the unpleasant surprise when it comes. If what you say is true, we will soon be pushed from brink into the abyss. Gulp!
I am pretty sure that the PTB have a back-up plan to blame an alien invasion for everything they are doing. They can deflect to the ‘aliens’ while they run the other direction to their underground bunkers in NZ to escape the angry horde. With the tech we have now (holograms, etc) it shouldn’t be too hard to fool the masses that UFOs have landed and little green men are going to kill us all.
Good times ahead!
Check out project blue beam. Sounds similar to your ideas.
Could be they are setting the Narrative for the Second Coming (Messiah or aliens, maybe both!).
Tell the world that Jesus has returned and watch all those fence-sitting agnostics slide off the fence and into the sheep pen.
Tell the world that the Ancient Aliens have returned and watch all those atheistic fantasists line up to be told what to do.
Nuclear war – although I don’t think our masters will allow it – sounds better all the time.
Well I’m stuck in the 3rd dimension for now. Drying seeds for the future, the fourth dimension.
What kind of seeds?
Peppers, cukes, fermented tomatos, beans , all the usual stuff.squarsh, kale, onion sets, I very rarely buy seed or transplants. Right now the local farm is selling 50 lb bags of taters for 17.99. I’ll wait until Halloween when the root cellar is cold. They’ll last until next summer at which time if they sprout they’ll be seed taters. I still have some red onions from last October. Cold, damp, dark, dirt floor in the 1865 Second Empire Victorian. Built the year when a derringer slug was put into Lincoln’s noggin.
That’s probably where I got my ‘idea’ – lol. Although I don’t remember the origin of it.
@ stelmosfire:
There’s also much seed-saving going on around here–mainly fermenting and drying tomato seeds. We have a seed exchange group in this area that I will be attending next spring. I’ll be bringing Cherokee Purple, Persimmon, and Amish Paste. I also like Druzba, and maybe I’ll get around to saving the seeds.
The Rutgers tomato seed I bought this past spring is not Rutgers. The fruits are very small, but we’ve decided we like them for dehydrating–just the right size for that. And I’ve decided my “mystery” variety is a sport of the “not-Rutgers,” as I’ve noticed anther plant in among the Rutgers plants that is about medium-sized and is a pretty little pleated thing. I don’t want to share the seed at the seed exchange, as I doubt that it will come true from seed.
Joe Biden is on video bragging about what he did in the Ukraine, and people who make a living at reporting still think it was Donald Trump who had the ethics issues.
They also tell us that Biden stutters but is otherwise perfectly intelligible, but Trump makes no sense when he talks.
What is this about Make America Great Again? Does not compute. Must be a dog whistle to white domestic terrorists.
‘make a living at reporting’ certainly I get your point, it just seems there should be a more descriptive phrase for their activity.
Purveyors of male bovine excrement probably is too much of a stretch?
They call them news readers in the UK.
Bullshit readers is my suggestion.
Squawking heads
Ooh, good one, Mary.
Link please
Your Majesty,
Regarding a false-flag “…alien invasion…”, this was one of Wernher von Braun’s predictions, communicated to a trusted friend, as he was dying of cancer.
Anyone that believes the CERN-hype is a fool. Maybe they want us to believe, for whatever reason. There are higher energy particle events happening constantly in our upper atmosphere from cosmic rays with no dimensional openings/entities.
In the 1940’s anyone who believed that nodular hand arthritis was anything other than a psychosomatic disease was considered a fool. Then we discovered auto-antibodies yielding things like rheumatoid arthritis. One era’s fool is another era’s visionary. Jumping to negative conclusions about an area such as quantum physics, without a good deal of relevant training, is probably not a good idea.
Just say’in
🙂
Why would non-physical beings need anyone to open doors for them?
Just askin’.
Excellent point.
You speak of He-Who-Walks-Behind-The-Rows? How can you not speak of Him!
I’m not speaking of “him” I’m speaking of “they”. And “they” are here already. Always have been.
I’ve been following the news on the James Webb telescope that recently went operational, a million miles out and orbiting around the sun. They’ve seen smears of what appears to be the artificial lights of cities on Alpha Centauri Proxima B, a planet in the Goldilocks zone orbiting around the red dwarf that is our nearest stellar neighbor. If there is life there, It’s everywhere it can get a foothold. They are sending a probe to drill though the ice covering Europa to check for signs of life in the vast ocean they believe lies beneath.
There appears to be some consternation in the scientific community because it appears that our physics is either wrong or simply quite complete. I saw something the other day claiming that they’ve broken the speed of light, though I haven’t seen any confirmation of that.
incomplete.
“…artificial lights of cities…”
Right. Because no matter where live comes into being in the universe, it will always evolve to be exactly like us (bipedal humanoids harnessing the awesome powers of the atom).
Gonna haul in a lot of suckers – at least in the fantasy-addled west – with that “Alien Invasion” net.
Ever hear of convergent evolltion? Anyway, they could be radically different from us and still develop artificial light. Scientists have not commited to that hypothesis, in any case. That it lookis like the night-side of earth from a distance, may simply be cooincidence, and have an entirely different explanation.
Yes, I’ve heard of convergent evolution.
What I am saying is that you need only dribble out a little bit of bullshit and the ignorant masses will gobble it up.
Hence, the “alien invasion!” or alternatively, the “alien liberation!”
Remember the Mercury Theater’s “War of the Worlds”?
Millions freaked out. I think that was in 1938.
No high tech involved at all.
Just the imagination of Orson Welles.
Come to think of it, I think Orson Welles would be an excellent name for the next discovered heavenly body!!
“the scientists at CERN publicly stating that they are communicating, via a portal produced by the collider and related machines, with ‘something’ from a different dimension than ours.
Doc,
Sounds like internets bullshit.
Now, rather than a different dimension, if they were conversing with a sentient “entity with a personality” from Uranus….
Is his name Art Bell?
EL, I don’t know about Uranus but Myanus speaks volumes.
Perhaps you are anally fixated.
“Perhaps you are anally fixated.”
Doc,
Well, I was fixated once or twice, but I needed the money, and they guy said he loved me….
Maybe lighten up on the beans and broccoli?
@neurodoc
You really do post some utter bullshit, don’t you?
Now watch the other rabbit-holers follow it…all the way down.
Sheesh.
Says the guy who posts an actual dumpster fire every time he posts.
Largest Food Warehouse IN THE WORLD BURNS!!
Are you speaking of the Rungis market near Paris?
I have a woodpile out back and a 12 gauge riot gun to make sure it stays there until I need it. i have over 100 lbs of vac sealed rice, 100 lbs of vac sealed beans, Hundreds of cans of veggies I put up from this year’s harvest and a boat load of spices to flavor it all. Fuck Joe Biden. Fuck them all.
I know where you live!
Most states, even red states, have unfortunate laws that preclude shooting someone from stealing your stuff. We have Jalokia ghost pepper loaded in 3 inch 12 gauge shells. Shooting a thief with that is legal, at least in red states, will teach a good lesson. FYI
If police “protection” evaporates due to the cops not being paid by bankrupt cities, we’ll be able to shoot whoever we like. Dimitri Orlov claims that a number Russians died from gunshot wounds due to the internal chaos that came after the fall of the Soviet Union. A lot of scores and conflicts got settled via gunfire in Wild West fashion when police weren’t around to prevent it. And very likely, some of the gunshot victims deserved it. Issues were settled in a few minutes that ordinary might take months or even years to straighten out in court.
Bang bang! Problem solved!
I guess the Russians weren’t disarmed after all.
There goes that Stalin theory.
Dimitri Orlov claims they had a sort of ganster culture going on for ten years or so after the end of the Soviet empire. The gangsters had access to guns and were bringing them in.
Woodchuck – like Indonesia in 1965, when the country was in the throes of collapse and the Communists were maneuvering to take over. Of the half- million to three million who were killed (depending on your source of info) it seems very many were the payoff for old insults, swindles, ethnic / religious conflict or deals gone bad.
In some places the Army, blamed for the violence, had to step in to suppress it. They marched Commies down to the seashore in Bali and slaughtered them. The waves ran red.
Is that the story they are telling now?
That’s not how I heard it.
Paula, until recently the village of Sanur in Bali had an extremely high percentage of foreign population, both tourists and long-term expat residents. I was informed by a local that the Balinese do not care to reside in Sanur because that is where the local people marched Communists down to the beach and cut them up. They feel that there would be many angry ghosts still roaming the area.
As for the rest of the archipelago, it was in a state of near-disintegration, as the zany dictator Sukarno had mismanaged the economy so badly. The only organized group capable of imposing order in the country, apart from the Communists, was the military. They avoided an Indonesian version of the Khmer Rouge.
The Suharto dictatorship eventually lost the plot and crumbled, as authoritarian regimes are prone to do, with a few notable exceptions like Best Korea, Rumania, Albania, Yugoslavia and Cuba, all sharing the same hopelessness and poverty.
The way I heard it, the US sponsored a military coup to overthrow Sukarno and then they slaughtered up to a million people, mostly ethnic Chinese, using lists supplied by the CIA.
Apparently American missionaries going door to door had supplied the names to the CIA.
Obama was there during the massacre, with his stepfather, who was called out of school to go back and help.
They avoided Khmer Rouge type massacres by slaughtering people preemptively? Interesting spin, but I’ve heard that line before. They did the same thing in Vietnam, destroying villages in order to save them.
But it is interesting that the people have internalized the story you tell. It’s much like Europeans internalizing Christianity after the massacres were over.
Well, sincen all of these WEF type measures are being taken to “protect” us, I see no reason why we cannot also “protect” our “protectors.”
Protection is such a malleable concept.
“F#ck Joe Biden. F#ck them all.”
Now there’s a man with convictions lol.
And you never sleep, right?
People will be sleeping in shifts. Also, having a bunch of pit bulls or rotweillers around might be a good idea. You might have to work extra to feed them, but it will be worth it when they guard *your* food.
Good thinking, Dil. But what if they get hongry and want to eat you?
Like the situation Tim Holt & Humphrey Bogart find themselves in in The Treasure of Sierra Madre.
“Whoever falls asleep first, dies.” LoL.
I had GSD, 2 pf them, shit, shed, eat accordingly. After they died young at 9-10 years which big dogs do I had two yorkies,. Stout of heart, good watchers, alert me and I’ll take care of the watch man part.
@ lizharmon:
I’ve too have a big stash of seasonings. If the diet gets a little austere, at least it will be tasty. It’s also good to have a big stash of various fats and oils. As a soapmaker, I’m good on that, as I buy fats by the 20-pound box and 40-pound bucket.
What the hell? Did someone cheat and peek? That damned cat was supposed to remain both alive and dead until someone looked.
If its alive and locked in a box for an hour it will be plenty pissed when you open it up. Hope for a declawed cat.
It’s the teeth of an angry cat you have to watch out for.
Although I did have cat scratch fever one time. It didn’t faze me at all.
James, you’re on fire these days! Thank goodness we can still manage to laugh uproariously as the world tanks.
I can’t decide which one of these most excellent lines got the bigger howl out of me:
“This is the way the world ends for the hapless phantom known as “Joe Biden” the child-sniffing ectoplasm that haunts the White House these days of late empire.”
or
“Of course, Madame von der Leyen’s fellow Germans have already been sent to their room without so much as a kartoffelklop, plus no heat or hot showers for you, Hansel and Gretel. Embrace the suck.”
Also, “Little Skippy’s face is turning blue, and not because he went trick-or-treating as Robert the Bruce.”
I’m trying hard to visualize what the next few months are going to be like, and although I understand it’s going to be hell on earth for many, it’s still hard to imagine it.
Meanwhile, thank God for JHK – if we can’t laugh at the absurdity the Party of Chaos has wrought, then we might be resigned to complete despair.
I think he meant “Kartoffelkloß”
Keyboard issue?
This is a test:
ß
You passed!
I have a few different-than-QWERTY layouts in queue.
ß
Umlaute included.
Can I buy a vowel?
You don’t need to use an Esset or Umlaut when writing German words in English.
Eszett = ss
Umlaut = “oe” — as in Koeln (Köln)
“Eszett”
NO,
Thanks, I don’t have much opportunity to practice these days.
In a prior part of this life cycle it was much more front and center.
Or Kartoffelkloesschen?
Or maybe Kartoffelklob is Plattdeusch? (:-))
I know intelligent, educated people who have bought huge new houses at the peak of this bubble, brought a couple of babies into this world, invested in “can’t lose” bonds, all in the past couple of years.
The locomotive is shaking the earth, its whistle shrieking, its locked wheels scorching the tracks, and few even look up to see the cause of the commotion.
And, in the last days of sporadic television broadcasts, the talking heads will face us earnestly and proclaim that “none of this could have been foreseen.”
Turn off your boobtube
I don’t watch television.
“…will face US…”
If you don’t observe them
They won’t be there
Extrapolate
Spread the word
You don’t have to watch TV to hear the propaganda. It is everywhere. It saturates your environment and you can’t get away from it. You even hear it here when redneck and hustled show up to spew it.
Zoltar is absolutely right. They will, indeed, tell us that “this is completely unexpected. No one could have foreseen this”.
A wise man once said that debt can be dealt with in one of three ways: paid back; defaulted on, or inflated away. We know the first choice will never happen. Default would certainly affect some affluent Americans holding what could turn out to be devalued or worthless paper, but what happens to all the pension funds, endowments, banks and foreign governments that get stiffed? Do the feds just shrug their shoulders, and say, “Too bad. We’re sorry you trusted us?’ Or do only selective bond holders get screwed? Mom and pop and certain countries get stiffed, while the Harvard endowment and JP Morgan, etc. get special treatment? At present the preferred method of dealing with it is a tax on everyone called inflation. The approximately 1/2 of the American population that pay no federal income tax are now finding out that there is no free lunch.

We’re at that moment on the rickety rollercoaster – in the front car no less – when it’s topped the big main hill and the drop is juuuuust starting. You can see where it’s going, you can feel things accelerating, but the grocery store shelves are still stocked and the lights are still on.
Wait for that bottom dip and turn in the rollercoaster track. Say, about next February. In the meantime, for we happy few who read Kunstler and similar, we’ll all be in the front car, calmly playing chess (look up “xkcd 249” if you don’t get the reference), and mostly ready for whatever comes next.
Don’t forget as you look down at the rickety wooden rollercoaster you can see many of the nails are actually bouncing up and down by a good half inch.
Magic mountain has/HAD a roller coaster in the back area my daughter talked me into riding and the above actually happened.
It added to the oh crap we are going to die factor something I never even considered on any other rollercoaster up to that point.
Lest I forget it also felt like the bumpiest rollercoaster in history.
The psyclone a truly epic POS.

So, who else is gonna be “Joe Biden” for Halloween?
“Stop running little girl and I’ll let you pet my hairy legs!”
I could wrap myself in a plastic garbage bag and a black hair ribbon and be “Doctor” Jill.
Observer’s paradox.
The conscious observer
How apropos
The Biden ectoplasm is not being observed, scrutinized, enough.
Not studied or measured enough
Influenced by presence of the observer
Aren’t we all
Or so people thought
People not knowledgeable in the esoterica of wave function, something like 99.999% of people.
Paradoxes with many competing explanations
Misunderstanding can lead to absurd results
Again, very apropos
I have a thread here which is mostly based on 9/11, but it contains a lot of profound thoughts on what is happening to our society today, from someone who is usually fairly apolitical.
I know what he means, I have felt this way for a long time but you feel alone when you can’t make others see it too.
What 9/11 makes me think of is how the political class and deep state basically came out of the closet and openly started doing what they felt like doing, with no pretense of caring what the people wanted or needed.
So here we are.
“I am no conspiracy theorist but I do think that when people become internally divided over politics and culture, there are those pulling the strings who benefit. They can get us to fight pointless wars abroad, and at home. That’s all I’m gonna say. Peace and Love to All.”

Yep.
Demolished 3 buildings in plain sight, and even on sites like CFN, we still have people who believe either the official story, or just choose to ignore the entire thing.
Some 10 or so years ago, JHK Admin would have none of that talk on here, back when he was “allergic”.
We all evolve.
Except you, dim.
Yes, perpetually stuck on Socialist stupid.
People change their opinions with new evidence, if they are smart and have the capacity for critical thinking.
Apparently, you have neither.
Meanwhile, at a gathering of family & friends yesterday afternoon (kids birthday party) I overheard conversation about an upcoming vacation in Paris, Kim Kardasians latest revealing photo, the Philadelphia Eagles, Stock Market opportunities (buy on the dips), Aaron Judge, and a whole host of other subjects that would lead one to believe that things in the country are proceeding normally — and these are relatively well informed upper middle class people!
Are you going to be that guy who brings up Klaus Schwab at a kid’s party?
On second thought, no better way to be not invited to the next kiddy play date
No Avatar I kept my mouth shut, not wanting to be that weird uncle known as ‘Captain Bringdown’.
Debbie Downer.
That’s why at birthday parties I hang with the kids. Squirtgun fights, tree-climbing, balloon-chasing – real world stuff, no “intellectual” fantasizing. And when I do catch an “adult” trying to pump a kid full of fantasy, I’m there with the vaccine.
Super-woke, commie frenemy pontificating at a recent birthday party: “I believe that if you truly believe in yourself you can accomplish anything.” (Oh, ok, so you wanted to be a 300-lb quadruple-bypassed diabetic with a bad back who lives house redolent with the aroma of dog piss with his ex-wife and “adult” sons…) I turned to the 8-year old sitting next to me and said, “You know that’s all bullshit don’t you?” “Yeah, I know”, he replied.
This is one of my pet peeves, and I’ve bloviated about it on here before but I can’t seem to pass up a chance to do so yet again.
I used to work with kids at the edge of the juvenile justice system. This was the common message from adults and, indeed, we were all taught in our indoctrination to say this. There is nothing to be seen anywhere like the rage of an 8 year old with a 50 of 60 IQ who is constantly told he can do all manner of things that he’ll never, ever be able to approach doing. But adults have told him this, so he makes the attempt. Yet, in spite of the “truth” that he can do anything, every effort to do the simplest thing results in failure. I once watched a skinny little kid literally tear the kitchen cabinets off the wall and throw them across the room. This was the end result of a couple hours spent trying to learn the rules of Monopoly. This is the most toxic crap adults have ever fostered on children.
And it goes beyond this. We’ve made generations of people who believe that if they didn’t get to be a rich social media “influencer” or whatever other idiotic thing they wanted, it’s because they’re oppressed, it’s somebody else’s fault, and it’s absolutely unfair.
Tell them the universal truth:
Life is a hell lot easier if you’re great looking
Exactly. That’s the flip side of that poison coin.
“You can be anything you want – and if you don’t get to be what you want, it’s the fault of fascist, homophobic, Russia-loving, Republican assholes – whom it is your duty to kill down to the last embryo.”
“Life is a hell lot easier if you’re great looking”
Not according to that queen of cinematic wokeness, Natalie Portman. She once said that life is much more difficult for attractive people. I’m sure she would now add, “And for super-wealthy people too.”
Love it!
I would kill to see Janos at this event:
“So tell me Timmy, why did you invite the brown one? Someone put you up to it, no?”
“Ava didn’t forget your gift, you see Timmy, today’s womyn despise you yet still need you, she literally wants YOUR cake and to eat it too”
“And thank you uncle Janos for this book by Saint-Simon… uh… let me read the back of the dust jacket… uh.. he envisions a totalitarian society ruled by a technocratic elite made up of industrialists, academics, businessmen, and scientists… uh, thanks?”
Well one doesn’t want to give them too much too soon, lest it darken the glory of their innocence. But as Aragorn said to Barliman, one days march from here are enemies that would freeze your soul. Traditional children’s stories talked about monsters and boogey men – both absolutely real. So very young children can be warned indirectly by these stories which will resonate inside their consciousness without completely terrifying them.
Tell your children the Truth about Hitler before some liberal fuck up lies about him.
the greatest story never told
Hahahahaha!
Aaron Judge is a worthy topic.
Agreed Beryl. He’s just what baseball — and the nation — needs right now.
The other night the camera caught him saying his customary prayers on the field before the game.
He doesn’t do it for the cameras.
‘Cause God really cares about baseball…

Unquestionably the reason for his 60 homers. 😉
Google says his religion is Christian but it doesn’t say which brand.
How do you know he’s praying? Does he make the sign of the cross? Does he kneel on the field? That would be a bit much. Does he bow his head and mumble?
People want to know more about his prayers.
Blackbird, you don’t know what he prays about, and you don’t know what God cares about.

My computer pushes news on me, uninvited.
The headline says “DJI News Bearish”.
JHK put it more colorfully.
If I didn’t look at any news, I would not know that the government keeps flat-out lying about the not-a-vaxx, despite all evidence that the shots have failed.
“The pandemic’s over” says Biden, meanwhile people are still demanding the jab in order to be employed.
I’m seeing more masks too. Do the sheep know something we don’t know? (Yeah, how to be a sheep…)
It’s mind boggling, isn’t it?
The Emperor keeps marching naked and the “reporters” keep telling you how fine his clothes are.
The Big Guy likes how the “reporters” stroke his hairy legs – and so do his many fans.
It’s grotesque.
I have to believe that these types of delusions at some point are no longer sustainable. Otherwise, I may go maaaaad.
Too laaaate!
“The ragged edge of something new and awful”.
Today is Rosh Hashanah, the start of the new year. I can feel it; can’t you?
One of your best!
That first paragraph is some of the best writing I’ve ever read anywhere. Thank you!
I second that! Just brilliant prose and message all the way!!
Mr. Kunstler,
Thank you for the great article!
Schrödinger’s cat. You know it’s there but you can’t see it. Sort of like Keynesian economics. In the ‘old days’ getting a loan required lots of hard work to come up with the 20%(+) down payment on a house; back when the value of the dollar was based on gold. You couldn’t just print up a few billion dollars. And then basically give it away under the narrative of ‘liquidity’. Which then enables the entire population to swim in the deep end of the pool of debt. Debt, like drugs, if a little bit is good then an unlimited amount is gonna be Great! And if the daisy chain of broken promises occurs…¡Ay, caramba!
And then there’s the global smorgasbord of possible awful events. Like those two Pals, Vlad Putin & Xi Jinping. Vlad is yelling at the world about going nuclear and Xi is playing the part of Schrödinger’s cat, he’s either dead or alive. No one knows. What a jokester! Around 1.5 Billion Chinese are wondering just how to deal with the rumor of a coup. Again, ¡Ay, caramba!
And here at home we have the good luck to have the ‘Figment-in-Chief’ and crew running the show. Hoo-boy, watch out below! ¡Ay, caramba!
Coffee cup’s empty, time to move on.
Cheers
Our host is indeed on fire today. I can’t pick out a single phrase, or even several – it’s just one long and brilliant rant.
There are a few authors whose work I have had forever in physical book form, but whom I looked forward to having as e-books so that I could highlight and write notes. I found, especially with G. K. Chesterton, that there was very little unhighlighted text left when I was finished. Mr. Kunstler is reminding me of that experience.
Rowdy,
Yes, I agree. Mr. Kunstler is entertainingly, brilliantly, pithily skewering the incredibly mentally shortsighted who happen to be at the reins of the Great Chariot.
For him, words are but a plaything.
Cheers
In regards to JHK’s references to the ongoing bond collapse:
An interesting and, to some, a confusing event is occurring with the US$. The USD$ appears to be going up when, in fact, it is simply falling more slowly than the other currencies in the Comex basket (making it appear to rise in value). Also, in order to unwind foundational derivatives (estimated at 300 Trillion $ world wide), USD’s are required as the derivatives are written in USDs. So, what’s happening is that the world financial system is unwinding, i.e. falling apart, and the falling apart requires that the demand for USDs increase ( to be used to unwind derivatives) before they vanish (after the unwinding is completed or the system does an early default).
Think Gold, silver, crypto (in a Trezor hard wallet), guns, ammo, beans, bandaids.
“Meanwhile, a trend is manifesting in other lands. The people of, first, Sweden and now Italy are voting in “right wing” nationalist governments”
The Brussels’ Pouts will soon learn, like the Democrats, that a true democracy excludes the sentiment of the majority ruled.
democracy is too important to be left to the will of the people
So last week I was on a 7 day road/camping trip. MA,CT,RI. lots of rain but some great days at the beach fishing. Anyway, billboards on the super slab in New England are probably 30-40 % adverts for pot shops. In high school I smoked every day before school. I don’t care for it anymore. My wife of 39 years never smoked much pot. She tells me it makes me stupid. I agree. It makes people apathetic and dull. The stuff today is way stronger then the twigs and stems I grew up with. The PTB are pushing stupidity on us.
They push booze too. Go to any supermarket it seems, and there are stacks of booze displays taking up a lot of space.
Like hard booze sodas.
Genius.
A few years ago hard liquor couldn’t advertise on TV.
Now it’s in soda pops at the local Targét
When the world’s crushing you, crush a few
I just saw vodka freezer sticks. They are like those tubes kids suck that horrible frozen slush out of, but they’ve added vodka. I was just SMH. What next?
I personally know two young men who got a psychotic reaction from smoking today’s weed.
That’s kind of a high percentage, when you think about it.
They had a psychotic reaction because they were raised to be psychopaths by their infant parents. (Or so I assume, not personally knowing the “victims”.)
But yeah, the weed you can grow in your backyard or your basement is stronger than the Acapulco Gold you were lucky to take a puff of back in high school. Well, vodka is stronger than beer. A car is faster than a skateboard. Not knowing this – and other obvious things – is why we have the Darwin Awards.
“They”have said this.
There are quotes in news articles and videos from seminars and conferences.
They believe, and don’t we all(?), that useless eaters are easily contented through self medication and cheap entertainment: video games and TV.
They’re not pushing stupidity, drive around for crissakes, they’re placating
Less indica, more sativa.
How nice. I brought in the mail just now, and I have an unexpected communication from the IRS.
Someone has filed a federal tax return for 2021 in my name. I have not filed a 2021 return yet.
I wonder what it is about this return that raised red flags? Maybe everyone who hadn’t filed by April is vulnerable.
This stuff happens when you allow in throngs of people from God knows where, you start seeing tax return theft.
Beryl, yesterday I received via USPS my mail in vote ballot request form. I could be dead for all they know. But hey, I still get a vote.
Of course, they could be lying and just want me to goo online and give them a bunch of information they aren’t entitled to.
I would think that they could just see whether the signature on all my other returns matches this one, and then get a simple yes or no from me as to whether I filed it.
Received those via USPS as well. Into the shredder they went. Still, it was tempting to do the follow through to try and vote a few times.
Blatant voter fraud is what it would be called. It’s not new, just operating at a higher level with some tech increases to juice the process.
So, how many filled them out with a plan in place to help rig the vote? They aren’t appearing in a vacuum. My sense is well-funded sources have the plan all worked out.
Mine were delivered to a PO box. I’m still trying to figure out how to fit the household furniture into such a tiny space.
Someone has filed a federal tax return for 2021 in my name. – Beryl
==========
How would the fake filer benefit from doing this? Does the fake return have all the correct info on it like your address and SS number?
Does the fake filer show you OWE money or are you getting money back?
How did the IRS know it was a fake return?
Were you planning to file by Oct 15?
Beryl,
You mean the one where you claim 15 neighborhood children as dependants? I’d claim it was filed by some unknow third party also…weak, but better than nothing.
…You could say that the dog ate the 1040 that you originally were going to file.
…Then borrow a local mutt when the agents come a=snooping….
IDK, I just got the letter today.
Stellar writing today, Jim, and hilarious.
“The punishments must continue until morale improves!”
Cf. many of the oblique and ironic last movements of Shostakovich’s symphonies.
Oh, and kudos for lambasting that intellectual fraud Sam Harris.
Sam Harris has ascertained a previously undiscovered level of smug
yet
He cannot accept that other people have different opinions and not because they misunderstand Sam (as he so often asserts) but because Sam is a fraud who often finds himself outmatched and outwitted.
NeuroSCIENTIST!
His entire presentation is affectation
The cadence of his speech, the dabbling in Asian meditation and martial arts, yet tantrums ensue when he loses a point
It’s comedy at this point
I took great glee in the email exchange take-down of Sam by Chomsky all those years ago.
“He cannot accept that other people have different opinions and not because they misunderstand Sam (as he so often asserts) but because Sam is a fraud who often finds himself outmatched and outwitted.”
Bingo.
My fave mano-a-mano was between Harris and Rupert Spira on the nature of consciousness. Spira made mincemeat of that blowhard.
Oh it IS that jerkov Harris, the microdosing moron with the emotional intelligence of a 5 year old rock. I have friends who worship this dumb fuck, and the have all been boosted. They all also card carrying demorats, msm teet suckers and virtue signaling ev driving vego-lacto-cross-dressing twits.
Yes that’s the guy, and yes those are the types who adore the idiot.
This isn’t the dude who won Star Search?
No, Beryl, I believe that is Sam Harris the actor. I knew him quite well as we frequented the same dog park, and I did some work for his partner back in the day (web stuff). They were both very nice, and close friends of Liza Minelli’s (had presents from her in their house).
What was the name of that little guy Liza married who claimed Liza was beating him every day? Their marriage didn’t last very long. He was terrified of her!
” They all also card carrying demorats, msm teet suckers and virtue signaling ev driving vego-lacto-cross-dressing twits.”
Nice…extra points for originality….
No, Jarek.
Sam Harris is and always was gay. He and Liza actually perform together.
Wiki
Marriages
Minnelli has married and divorced four times. Her first marriage was to entertainer Peter Allen on March 3, 1967.[48] Australian-born Allen was Judy Garland’s protégé in the mid-1960s.[49] Allen and Minnelli divorced on July 24, 1974.[50] Minnelli told The Advocate editor-in-chief Judy Wieder in September 1996 “I married Peter, and he didn’t tell me he was gay. Everyone knew but me. And I found out … well, let me put it this way: I’ll never surprise anybody coming home as long as I live. I call first!”[51]
Following the divorce from Allen, Minnelli married Jack Haley Jr., a producer and director, on September 15, 1974.[52] His father, Jack Haley, was Garland’s co-star in The Wizard of Oz. They divorced in April 1979.[53]
Minnelli was married to Mark Gero, a sculptor and stage manager, from December 4, 1979, until their divorce in January 1992.[54]
Minnelli was married to David Gest, a concert promoter, from March 16, 2002, until their separation in July 2003, and their divorce in April 2007.[55][56] In a 2003 lawsuit, Gest alleged that Minnelli beat him in alcohol-induced rages during their marriage.[57]
Minnelli also had relationships with Rock Brynner (son of Yul Brynner), Desi Arnaz, Jr., Peter Sellers, and Martin Scorsese.[58][59] Her close friendship with French pop singer Charles Aznavour was described by Aznavour as “more than friends and less than lovers”.[60]
Minnelli has no children; one pregnancy left her with a hiatal hernia as a result of the medical steps taken to try to save the baby.[16]
Jarek: David Gest is the one she beat. What a poor little freak to be beaten by a nasty little woman like Minnelli.
Jarek:
“His father, Jack Haley, was Garland’s co-star in The Wizard of Oz. ”
Toto?
“That ‘singularity’ so many blab about is not what they think it is: the merging of human intelligence with Bill Gates’s Office products…”
No it isn’t. It turns out that The Singularity is a merger between the human race and mass insanity. The World has turned stark raving mad. And lots of people seem quite OK with that and they are eagerly cheering this on. The Singularity of Person and Insanity fully merged into a cosmic-sized deluded planetary mess.
“… the proverbial can they’ve been kicking is filled with Schrödinger’s cat food…”
That famous cat that is at the same time living and dead exists in an undetermined state of both Sane and Insane and its condition is not determined until an observer looks at the feline. In this case, since The World is mostly insane… the famed cat has assumed the state of being insane as well. And the slinky purr ball isn’t too happy about it and is trying hard for a re-do.
“So, what happens when a daisy-chain of promises-to-pay gets broken?”
‘Sweetheart… it’s not that I’m a Liar that is the problem. The real problem is that you BELIEVE ME! It’s really YOUR fault…’
“… how much is worthless money worth? (Answer: not enough to pay for a can of Schrödinger’s cat food.)”
Schrödinger’s cat is thinking of going Woke. It’s right now considering animal species transition surgery and it would either come out a dog or a muskrat depending on which will get paid more in reparations for societal embedded institutional bias against animals with fur. Still, somehow Schrödinger’s Muskrat just doesn’t have the right sound to it.
“Because: Russia, Russia, Russia…!”
You remember that old TV commercial: ‘Russia – Russia – Russia! New Ipana Toothpaste!’
“Today the markets, tomorrow our beloved country will be overrun by what’ll look like an alien invasion of re-po men.”
Half the nation will be IRS agents. The other half will be Re-po People. And no one left to grow the food and refine the gasoline and make the latest toxic concoctions for us to be injected with. What kind of future is that?
“This is the way the world ends… the lonesome sound of Schrödinger’s cat’s meow.”
Good news. The cat decided not to be woke nor go through the surgery. It has observed itself as Sane once again.
Proving once again that cats are smarter than people.
The World would be better served today if it were run by cats. Instead of today’s deadly vultures.
“The Singularity is a merger between the human race and mass insanity”
100%!!!
Kipling’s famous:
“If you can keep your head when all about you
are losing theirs and blaming it on you….”
“Singularity” is a subjective thing. As we get closer to what we view as a ‘singularity’ the folks in the future are ‘Meh…’ about it because it’s just progress.
The theory that a ‘singularity’ is some kind of radical event is hogwash. Progress happens until the progressors progress right out of sight of the rest of us schlubs.
I have 4 cats at home. They have no sense of humor.
You’re doing something wrong if they are hiding it from you. LOL .
I know it’s not personal.
It might be 😉
As some might know, while i do enjoy a well written screed, i tend to focus on monitoring both author focus and associated commentary sentiment.
From my pov both here and abroad, it’s satisfying to see that leading independents are finally moving past personalization, an emotional reaction of entitlement, and an overall tendency towards complaints and satire.
Because, while those kinds of reactions remained prevalent, it was obvious people were still in a state of denial and/or bargaining. Try it yourself – look around at those still engaged in deflection and related dissociation, all clear signs of mental procrastination.
And the WEF thinkers knew it as well. No one was going to risk anything if they still thought there was a way to avoid confrontation by negotiating their way out of our situation.
But now? This is the stage where after one accepts the total meaning of the actual reality in which they inhabit, the point were troops in WW1 casually said, “c’est la guerre” to describe scatterred body parts, stench and rats as if their coffee was cold, this is when events begin to turn serious.
Browse around; check it out. Don’t know if it’s 1% or 10%. All I know is that our minders are watching as well. And according to their psyche studies, the next stage is when the advanced middle (say the next 20%) begin to hear certain theories, alternative explanations and other forbidden opinions that cast doubt on the comforting lies they’ve been told their entire lives.
I think you must put your posts into a processor that changes 10% each time, just moving the words around a bit. If it eventually produces the very first post again verbatim, I don’t suppose anyone will even notice.

Been said before, but this reality is fast approaching.
“The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back their lives as they have lived them, are over.
The moment the Men who wanted to be left alone are forced to fight back, it is a form of suicide. They are literally killing off who they used to be. Which is why, when forced to take up violence, these Men who wanted to be left alone, fight with unholy vengeance against those who murdered their former lives. They fight with raw hate, and a drive that cannot be fathomed by those who are merely play-acting at politics and terror.
TRUE TERROR will arrive at these people’s door, and they will cry, scream, and beg for mercy…but it will fall upon the deaf ears of the Men who just wanted to be left alone. “
sanspeur, I believe you’re correct, as is Solzhenitsyn. And I believe there are more of these men than anyone realizes, because they don’t reveal themselves until the end.
Is that a Solzhenitsyn quote? If so, my respect for that guy increases every time I read something he wrote.
Are we still allowed to read Solzhenitsyn and other Russian literary classics? Or have those been outlawed by our astute government as propaganda of the enemy?
Glad I have my fav Russian literature in boxes in the garage. I wonder if Mikail Bulgakov is also on the hit list? “The Master and Margarita” is so subversive.
I’m still reading Anna Karenina — got to page 76, so far. It’s tough going with those Russian names. Who is who? One of the problems is the way Tolstoy assigns 3 or 4 names to each character: official title, regular name, patronym, pet names between husband and wife etc. I had to start a glossary. Another problem is locations. When Steinbeck mentions Monterey, Cal., I know where Monterey, Cal. is. Other than Moscow & St. Petersburg, I don’t know where Tolstoy is talking about. Also, 75 pages in the main character, Anna Karenina, hasn’t been introduced yet.
So far the best I can say that these big Russian classics must be an acquired taste.
Try parsing Latin nouns, verbs and sentences for practice.
‘Anna Karenina’ might then move along a bit smoother. 🙂
My trick for that is to not try to memorize/learn/recognize the names because as you get through the novel they will just start being familiar. I did start reading Russian novels in high school so I am somewhat seasoned.

All good people love Solzhenitsyn. Do you love him, Mary?
My dad had Solzhenitsyn’s “Gulag Archipelago” on and end table in our living room for a long time. I don’t know why I remember that. I really should read it. Everything I have read by Solzhenitsyn (usually quotes or essays people repost) is brilliant.
The situation on the Eastern Front seems to have quieted down; not much news coming out.
I wonder how the referendum is going? It ends tomorrow. We are assured by every news organization in the US & western Europe that the whole exercise is a sham election orchestrated by the Russian Army — which to me means the citizens in those border Provinces will vote to join Russia … and the EU Propaganda Bureau needs a convenient excuse why it turned out that way.
I think the exit polls show an overwhelming vote to rejoin Russia.
The Kiev regime is threatening anyone who votes with prison and/or death and they proved their threats were serious by shelling Donetsk again, including a hotel where reporters were staying.
Shades of the Palestine hotel in Baghad.

A violent coup overthrowing an elected government is fine, but a referendum on a national decision is ”undemocratic” according to the squawking heads.

Well neither does the main stream propaganda
Remember that thing that happened in Vegas a few years back?
Neither does anyone else!
The guy who was irate over video poker losses, so he lugged a bunch of weaponry, loose, up to a hotel room and shot a bunch of country music fans?
The FBI could make nothing of it:
“So what you’re telling me Special Agent Wingerson is that we have a white male shooter who killed 60 people, mostly white, at a country music concert?”
‘Yissir”
“Was the shooter a far-right extremist?”
“Ahem, I said attendees of a country music concert sir”
“Yeah, that’s right… but was it a gay country music concert?”
“Nosir”
“Trans?”
“Uh, not sure if that’s a thing sir, but no”
“When did the Russians last contact him?”
“Never”

Man, the Deep State really wants to provoke Russia into nukes, is my take.
If NATO can pretend Russia was bombing the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Station, which they already had possession of, then that same NATO will surely set up a false flag pretense attack on [ as Mr Kunstller surmised ] possibly Kyiv. . We have to remember that the same gullible TV watchers who think the poison injections are good are waving Ukraine flags and calling death to Russia, Russia, Russia. .The Psychopaths have now proved we will accept any humiliation and are utterly stupid. A nuclear exchange is becoming more likely. . .This is world war 3, and I for one want Germany on behalf of Europe to lose its third war in just over a century.

Apropos of nothing in today’s blog essay or comments:
An interesting blurb in yesterday’s NYT said that in year 1900 there were 50,000 horses in London and that they shat a huge number of tons (I forget the number) of horseshit daily which wasn’t necessarily cleaned up all that quick. So I did the math and it turns out the average horse was responsible for 20 lbs of shit per day.
Who would have thought that horses shit that much? The air must have been perpetually ripe.
It’s still a shit-hole.
London? Seemed pretty clean for a major metropolis to me?
NYC is a shithole.

Oh, you were there in year 1900?
I was responding to Slug, professor.
When the dipshit greens get their longed for medieval life imposed they’re gonna be pissed when they realize Hobbes was right: Poor, solitary, nasty, brutish and short.
Fortunately, horse shit (sometimes known as “road apples”) doesn’t usually stink that much, although I’m sure most modern day people wouldn’t consider it exactly pleasant. Cow shit somewhat less so. Now hog shit is another matter altogether…
Horses shit a ton, as should be expected. They’re big, expend a ton of calories, and eat low energy density, low on the food chain foods. You’d have gas and shit a lot too.
I grew up in a semi rural area. I never considered the smell of bovine or equine excrement a particularly affront to the nasal senses. Sure beats the smell of rotting dumpsters and homeless tent cities.
Yeah, cowshit actually grows on you after a while. Very earthy, at least from a reasonable distance. Hog shit will literally wake you from a sound sleep and keep you awake until you get away from it. Smells like a a vomit/crappola double punch. I’ve heard it can actually make you sick, but I’ve never had to be around it for that long.
my inlaws lived next to a huge turkey farm in PA. The flys and stench were out of control. of course you could get coal for free all over the place It’s all relative.
Me, either. I rather like it, reminds me of all the farms I used to hang out at or visit.
Krupp founder had his office over the horse stable. Said the smell sharpened his thinking. Maybe the horseshit from DC will help our thinking.
the average horse was responsible for 20 lbs of shit per day. – Q.

Humans, whether male or female, average about one lb of shit per day.
If we went back to horses and processed the manure properly it would give us all the methane we need for cooking and heating.
Then the rest of it could be used for fertilizer.
Or we could just keep fracking until we have no fresh water.
I wonder what our ruling overlords will choose.
Another unresolved issue has been on my mind for the past week or two:
How is the “ye” in Kanye (as in Kanye West) pronounced? Is it yee or yay?
He recently changed his name from Kanye to just Ye so if I run into him I want to know if I should say “Hey Yee” or “Hey Yay, how’s your hammer hangin’?”
Just pretend your dyslexic and call him Kenya.
you’re (I’m having a dyslexic moment!)
I have monumental disexyl all the time
Or, if you’re part of his tribe, you could just call him “Nigga” and be done with it.
Come on people, somebody must know how Kanye is pronounced. Stop fucking with me. Out with it!
It’s pronounced – Conyaay – say yay but stretch it a little with emphasis on the a.
I suppose to me that would be Kahnyay.
I always though of him as Can-yay. Kan-yee would sound like some kind of Scottish dialect – ‘if you’re going to the shop, Can-Ye bring me a litre of milk?’ 🙂
It’s pronounced – Conyaay – SSL

OK, so, with the recent name change, when I run into Mr West it’ll be “Hey Yay, wussup? How’s your hammer hangin’?”

Dis,
I’d prefer to call him…”long distance”….
Good. It needs to end.
God has made of one blood all the peoples of the earth.
Science teaches that there are a number of different kinds of blood, mostly incompatible.
Nice try, but a fail.
Are you starting a Lil’ Tommy cult now, or what?
Will it be HQ’d in Minnetonka, Florida, or Delaware for tax purposes, and will there be auto sales and/or insurance scams involved?
And most importantly of all, will there be TV appearances in your future, possibly with an HBO dramedy based on your life story soon to follow?
Blood transfusions between incompatible groups (such as A+ to O-) cause an immune response. This can lead to a serious transfusion reaction. The immune system attacks the donated blood cells, causing them to burst. Today, all blood is carefully screened.
Eight main types.
A+, A-, B+, B-, O+, O-, AB+, AB-
Or this little gem.
What blood types cause miscarriages?
Rh factor: Miscarriage can be caused because of the incompatibility of the mother’s blood and the blood of the unborn fetus commonly known as Rh factor incompatibility. This type of miscarriage occur when the blood type of mother is Rh negative, and the fetus blood type is Rh positive.
@ benr:
This is a little “off topic,” but Rh incompatibility is largely a phony issue.
I am Rh negative myself, and my kids’ father is Rh positive. When I was planning for my three home births I was concerned about this and felt that I needed to make arrangements with a medical doctor to get a Rhogam shot after the delivery.
Interestingly, when I spoke with midwives about this, I was told that Rh negativity is not an issue in a natural home birth. The danger of the mother’s blood coming in contact with the baby’s blood is almost entirely due to the brutality of the hospital birth and rarely happens in the course of nature. (I think exceptions might be things like the placenta being partially dislodged during pregnancy, due to overly vigorous exercise, but I’m guessing here.)
In any case, I did not follow up with a Rhogam shot after delivery when I had home births and had no negative consequences at all.
You also have to bear in mind that, if you are an Rh negative mother and your child suffers from any distress, the blame will automatically be assigned to Rh issues, when the actual culprit is hospital malpractice. Much infant ditress is caused by hospitals being overly hasty about cutting the umbilical cord, for eample, depriving the baby of much of its blood supply. All blood should be given time to drain from the placenta to the infant. If this natural process is cut short by cutting the umbilical cord too soon, this is like causing the infant a massive blood loss at the time of birth. The ill effects of this will be blamed on Rh negativity. The reason they cut the umbilitical cord too soon is because they would have to wait an extra ten or fifteen minutes.
Hospital births are strongly focused on minimizing the time involved in delivery. You can sign up for a completely natural childbirth, but they will still give you pitocin. Doctors and hospitals also have a strong preference for C-sections, because this allows them to schedule births. No waiting around or being on call for a delivery at the end of labor, which could last anywhere from two hours to twenty-four hours.
I would strongly advise any expectant mom to avoid the hospital if at all possible. I think the covid hoax should have opened everyone eyes about the medical establishment, in case they hadn’t already figured figured out that they are a bunch of ghouls.

“My kid’s father” – note the incredible warmth there. – Jar
==========
Jar, when you say “My kid’s father” you DO realize, I hope, that due to your placement of the apostrophe this implies there was one kid. But, in fact, Anthea wrote my kids’ father. This implies plural kids which, as you read on further, turns out to be three kids.
Do you see how important this is to the story. If it had been just one kid it could have been the result of a one-night-stand, not a husband, merely a biological father.
But it’s 3 kids from the same father implying they were probably married. Therefore I see the description “my kids’ father is Rh positive” rather than “my then husband was Rh positive” as more crass and damning than even you imply.
To be honest I had no idea from Anthea’s previous anti-male screeds that she had been married and was the mother of three. What, one wonders, do these three (probably now adult) children think of their mother’s attitude toward men? Hmm? Whether these three kids are male, female or some of each there has likely been some negative impact on their psyches.
The rest of Anthea’s comment is very informative and excellent.
@ Jarek:
The phrase, “my kids’ father,” is merely a statement of fact and carries to particular connotation. It is a neutral statement. Apparently your feelings are vicariously hurt because I didn’t include an extra discursive paragraph praising the guy–which, even if justified, would not have been pertinent to the subject under discussion.
But we are familiar with you pathologigcal lying in the form of deliverate miscontructions, and often undisguised lies–along with untruthful slurs cloaked as irrelevancies.
These are behavior patterns that are familiar to many of us; we’ve all known people like this. I’ve known people who will will make sneering remarks to other people because they have a favorite coffee cup, keep a spark-plug spacer on their key ring, or often have their hands in your pockets. (“What’s he got in there?”) Thiis kind of thing is the resort of trivial, malicious morons.
@ Q. Shtik:
“What, one wonders, do these three (probably now adult) children think of their mother’s attitude toward men [or their dad]?”
That would depend on the men–and on their dad, wouldn’t it?
@ Q. Shtik:
“there has likely been some negative impact on their psyches.”
There has indeed. Much abuse and neglect on their father’s part.
You fucked someone you hated. Classic black magic.
As Krishna says, Again and again I throw them (the evil) into demoniac wombs.
Elsewhere He says, All beings follow my Law in all respects. You serve in this fashion.
Also notice Anthea’s refusal to take responsibility for being with this man. Did someone force her? No. Did she not choose him? She did.
And in answer to Q’s question: Her terrible attitude to men isn’t responded to. Instead she just shifts the answer to men and her husband – which wasn’t Q’s question.
“Also notice Anthea’s refusal to take responsibility for being with this man.”
Yes. Like unto like.
People of equal or close moral standing stay together. When one is significantly higher, that one will leave long before the birth of three kids.
@ Soul Forensics:
People become bad people as a result of bad decisions. It is not at all unusual for someone to be a reasonably decent person–until they are challenged.
E.g., a nice kid can join the army and turn out to be a coward.
Many people conduct themselves reasonably well in their lives until they must make difficult choices or until some sacrifice is required. (One good example of the way people reveal their character when under stress is the way to saw people behaving during the covid scare, folding up like a cheap lawn chair for masking, various restrictions, and vaccinations.)
You can never know what anyone will do until they are put to the test. TBH, you can never know what you’ll do yourself until you are put to the test. If you could know that, it wouldn’t be much of a test, now would it?
Ironically, @Anthea, I’m willing to bet the women-basher Triumvirate here are all single, sans Q-Schtick, who is fortunate enough to have a wife that seems to be a martyr of sorts (which might explain why she’s with him).
Undoubtedly Anthea has done her utmost to blacken her ex-husband in the eyes of his children.
Not that she cares, but calumny or the destruction of reputation is a mortal sin – no matter who it is. But a parent in the eyes of their child? This is hell being stuff.
I’m used to Jarek’s constant attempts to blacken reputations on the basis of his own imaginings, but I’m surprised at Q’s bizarre judgmentalism (I don’t know Soul Forensics well enough to know whether to be surprised or not). What a shameful pile-on.
I specifically feel uncomfortable referring to my former husband as ‘my ex; or ‘my first/then husband’ because it feels – to me, though probably not to anyone else – to imply a casual attitude to marriage that I don’t remotely have. I waited many more years to leave him than I possibly should have done (a) because I believed marriage was for life (and having made my bed, I’d have to lie in it), and (b) because I knew my parents, although they thought ‘my then husband’ was not right for me, did not believe in divorce.
My mother, a devout Christian, who deplored divorce but couldn’t stand my ex-husband, said to me (my father was gone by the time I left my husband, thankfully) that she was very sorry if my concern for her (and her disaproval of divorce) had played a part in my staying with him so long, which it had.
In the event, I discovered that my mother accepted my divorce as necessary but unfortunate, but that my position entailed me staying forever celibate while he was still alive (which he still is).
When talking to people who don’t know my ex, I sometimes refer to him as ‘the girls’ dad’, which seems to me to be much less dismissive and cold than ‘my former/ex-/then husband’. One should not presume that language means the same thing to one person as it does to another.
“People of equal or close moral standing stay together. When one is significantly higher, that one will leave long before the birth of three kids.”
Actually, sometimes it’s the shit who leaves. Quite often for someone else.
Seriously, I just don’t know what to think of that as an assertion, except that the person is projecting out of pure prejudice. I realised before I even had my children that I’d made a mistake (in your early 20s, especially if you’re the quiet, shy, not very confident sort, you can fall madly in love with entirely unsuitable people whose level of immaturity may not show itself until you’ve gone and married them, and sometimes not till you’ve actually had children and found that what you have isn’t a husband but an extra child.
I’m absolutlely shocked at the ignorant prejudice on display here.
And FWIW, I never said bad things about my ex to or in front of my kids.
However, I do recall one daughter saying to me, many years later, on the basis of her own observations, ‘Mum, seriously, what were you thinking?’ She still does what she can for her dad, but she’s aware of what kind of person he is (he’s now seriously eccentric on top of everything else. and absolutely incapable of seeing anything from anyone else’s point of view).
Yeah, Green Alba, young women do stupid things.
I married at 18 and not well.
When I finally left him HIS mother told me “What took you so long?”
He disappeared a long time ago, when my daughter was 5, not that he was much of a father until then.
When the internet meet-up thing started a couple of decades ago, his high school buddy called me up and said that my ex had contacted him and wanted to get together. He wasn’t interested but thought I might be. I wasn’t interested but asked my daughter if she was. She wasn’t.
I have no idea if he is still alive now.
@Green Alba, well said.
Jarek seems to hit new lows every week with his women-hating bullshit.
It’s too bad Soul Forensics has similar incel/misogynist tendencies, because when he stays off the subject of women/feminism, which he knows zero about, his comments are pretty good.
The two of them have another women bashing fest downthread, I guess they are soaking in rage-o-hol or something.
Anthea, next time call him your baby daddy, just to watch their heads really spin.
I for one would enjoy it immensely.
Ha! Me too!

Mr. Kunstler reaches bigger audiences every week. He is routinely reposted in New Zealand and Australia now. And good, his writing is the apex.
That is exhilarating to hear! The people in New Zealand and Australia need to be particularly saturated in his sermons. I’m thankful and appreciate your good tidings.
I never got around to fleshing out the story of just how reclusive my brother Armand was. How he operated from day to day and still remained a REK’ loos.
There were certain things where he could not avoid a one-on-one interface with another human being. Those would include a dentist appointment to get a cavity filled, or getting a haircut every month or two, or getting his eyes examined for new glasses. However he proudly told me he never availed himself of a routine doctors visit under Medicare. I noticed among his effects a driver’s license with a picture of himself at age 50. He somehow managed to achieve an absolutely expressionless expression on his face as if to communicate that there was zero connection between himself and the State employee taking the picture or anyone else for that matter.
But let’s move on to life experiences that typically involve more interaction with people out in the world. One such that I happened upon when my wife and I rushed down to Florida to arrange for Armand’s cremation and to clear out his home to prepare for its sale had to do with his car.
I came across the receipt for the trade-in of his old car and purchase of a new one. It was a 1998 Honda Accord in a nondescript dark gray color (not fire engine red of course). He had made this purchase without ever leaving home. No trip to the dealer to see what was available on the lot. No test drive. No price negotiations… probably took whatever was offered for the trade-in. Had it delivered to his home. I picture him accepting the keys from the delivery guy and turning over his trade-in keys all in under two minutes.
The wife and I hired a service to pick us up from Ft Lauderdale Airpt and deliver us to Armand’s house and, through pre-arrangement, obtained the house and car keys from Nicki, the next door neighbor. (You will recall from my prior write-up that Nicki was a police dept employee who had spotted the newspapers piling up at Armand’s door.) At the time of death Armand had owned his car for 16 years and the mileage was 14,700. He was averaging a little over 900 miles per year.
The low mileage was understandable since Armand never took a vacation and a Publix supermarket was about a quarter mile away, a straight shot out of the complex and across one wide roadway. (Why would Armand take a vacation? To go where? And hobnob with people? How awful! Yuk!)
Concerning Publix, Armand was still a human being and had to eat so this was where he did his shopping. Typical of Armand, everything was organized. He clipped coupons and arranged his trip to the store in a way that would minimize his time in the store among other people. He had somehow acquired a store layout that showed what kinds of foods were in which aisles. He entered with a shopping list arranged in an order that would take him down one aisle then back up the next aisle and so on until he checked out. He once told me he would be in and out of the store in 10 minutes or less. His last stop before exiting Publix was to buy a lottery ticket hoping to hit it big some day but he never did.
All of that is rather impressive.
It’s a shame he didn’t write a how – to book.
I have a title :
Solitary Confinement ; The Easy Way.
Not that you need my permission, but I hope you write more about him.
The more you know about somebody , the easier they are to remember.
I hope you write more about him. – Kesa
==========
Well, OK. More grist for life after death in memory.
Last night, while writing the above long comment, in order to verify certain info that I was reporting to y’all, I pulled out a box containing all my notes and documents related to Armand’s death, the sale of his house, the return to NJ in a rental truck full of stuff to be parceled out among my 3 kids while hauling the Honda behind us, his death certificate, the detective’s report, the medical examiner’s report, the Dell computer and Excel file of Arm’s investments, dealings with a pawn shop to sell two guns I never knew that he owned…….. I could go on and on….. keeping current with the payment of bills (they keep rolling in even after you die)…. the cancellation of subscriptions (newspapers, AOL, phone service at the last possible minute, etc).
I had forgotten how complex the process was and how diligent I was in keeping copious notes about every detail. I think if I could take pics of all my notes and present them here you would be impressed and astonished: the process of choosing a funeral outfit to handle his cremation, finding and hiring a lawyer (and a real estate agent), considerations of final tax returns, proving that I was Armand’s one and only next of kin who would inherit everything (that there were in fact never any wife or kids, perish the thought).
My wife and I stayed at a nice nearby hotel. We rose early every day for about 3 weeks, drove to Armand’s home in his Honda and worked till nightfall clearing out possessions that would not be kept. It was like going to a regular day job. We would go straight from there to a restaurant for dinner. We were usually the only two white people in the place. The area had become increasingly Hispanic over the years since 1985 when Armand bought the place while it was under construction. Every store you entered was manned by Spanish speaking employees; Walmart, Target, Home Depot. You were lucky to find an English speaking employee to ask a question of. Two desk clerks at our hotel were Hispanic but perfectly bilingual.
Here and there in the home and in the garage were boxes each bearing a (meaningless to me) code like, say, G3 or M7. We opened each one and found neatly stored in them the possessions of virtually a lifetime. It wasn’t until much later that I found a document (many pages long) in which Armand had enumerated in excruciating detail what was contained in each box (in some cases items were hidden in secret places in the house, not in boxes). The first page was almost entirely a list of books. Elsewhere an old pair of sneakers was listed and a collection of swizzle sticks. Why he would keep such things is a mystery that a psychiatrist might have an opinion about.
As I say, we did not have the benefit of this extensive list of possessions until after we had nearly cleared the home of everything. It would have been very helpful. Picture this: I started to remove towels and wash cloths from a linen closet in the bathroom. I picked up something very heavy. When I saw what it was I uttered BINGO! And rushed to show my wife. There were three tubes of recently minted US silver dollars, 50 in all, along with the receipts for their purchase. I can report that the current price of silver is unfortunately much lower now than it was then.
It was quite apparent that once the lawyers did their job I was eventually going to come into some significant inheritance, not Lotto Jackpot sized but enough that barring disaster (hyper inflation?) I should never have to wonder where my next meal was coming from. I had each of my 3 kids enumerate to me the sum of all their debts, mostly credit cards and school tuition loans. Once I got access to Armand’s money I paid off all these debts giving them a fresh start in life with a clean slate. This happened in January 2015.
We sold the Honda to my next door neighbor. When she had the car serviced they couldn’t believe the perfect condition and low mileage on a 16 year old car and offered to buy it. Two years ago a drunk came around the corner, smashed into the Honda and totaled it.
The next stage would have been cataloging his bowel movement. After that, saving his feces like Howard Hughes did. A Bank!
What is a REK’ loos? I don’t necessarily think it’s too odd to ask for store blueprints and aisle maps. It’s also good to know where the emergency exits are. And saving time on routine trips is efficient.
He meant “recluse.”
He wanted to make sure you pronounce it correctly.
I was just messin with Q lol.
Another great account, Q. Believe it or not, I don’t think he sounds all that strange. Kind of noble, actually. Didn’t like being around people (who does?) and had the courage of his convictions to avoid them. I’ll bet he was super intelligent in very specific areas and was on the Autism and/or Asperger’s spectrum. I’ve known a few PhD’s up here who act very similarly.
I can relate.
I can, too. I spend 98% of my time totally alone and I like it that way.
I assume he also carried a basket rather than pushed a cart, held his breath as other people passed, and didn’t straddle the aisle or do his scratch-offs at the counter. If, by chance he had to shop at Winn-Dixie, he probably threw his clothes in the washer and took a shower as soon as he got home – maybe even left them behind in the parking lot, climbing out like a snake.
The good ones always go first…
As Krishna says, those who do not surrender to me willingly will do so when I come as Death.
Armand tried to control everything. A doomed enterprise since he was not the controller.
Jar, are you not bothered by this blurb from Google:
Was Krishna blue or black?
Etymologically speaking, the Sanskrit word ‘Krishna’ means black or dark. At times, it is also translated as “all attractive”. According to Vedas, Lord Krishna is a dark-skinned Dravidian god. Even in traditional patta chitras (cloth art) in Odisha, Lord Krishna and Vishnu are always shown having black skin.
Well other incarnations were white or in the case of Rama, green. Christ was a Caucasian incarnation for example.
Anyone else around here remember the Radha Krishna Temple Chants on Apple Records?
I still have the CD around here somewhere–and used to have the vinyl.
when I come as Death. – Jar

Last night as we were just beginning our dinner my wife was reading text messages on her cell phone (BTW, I hate when she can’t put that fucking phone away even to eat) and she let out a gasp… “Big Ed has died.” Peter looked crushed and never took another bite of his meal.
“Big Ed” was a first cousin of my wife and Peter. Ed and his wife Pat retired to Florida. He was very handsome, had a deep resonant voice and rose to high levels in the business world despite having only a high school degree. He had a huge beer belly and thus his nickname.
Ed became a VP of an American division of a huge German company (Robert Bosch, I think). Peter had (and still has) a talent for imitating foreign languages but what he spoke was pure meaningless gibberish. His specialty was German. When Big Ed heard Peter do his German gibberish he nearly fell out of his chair laughing. He wanted to take Peter with him to his next meeting in Germany to regale his bosses with Peter’s German performance.
Ed would have turned 84 next month. Just a week ago we heard from Ed’s brother Bob that Ed was “on borrowed time” with liver disease.
Death comes to all living things or so we believe but the other day I saw a blurb in the NYT suggesting that scientist speculate that a certain jelly fish may be able to live forever.
Count me as skeptical.
Read Dr Moody’s book, Life After Life, about the post-mortem experiences of people who had died and been brought back. Dr Kubler-Ross as well.
There is no death, Q. Or only of the physical body, the lowest of our several bodies. Chin up, bub.
Jarek…I have no idea what the fuck you’re talking about.
Read your comment and then read mine. It was a response to yours. That should clear it up.
Or If you want to keep it in the realm of religion, read the Genesis story about God throwing down the Tower of Babel and confusing the different tongues of men into different languages. He wants us separate.
Hmm, these days Tom Clark and Jarek seem to be CFN’s two favorite whipping boys.
Now one stray cat seems to be trying to arrange a fight with the other stray cat .
Stray cat fight !
Hiss ! Scratch ! Hiss ! Scratch !
That reminds me of a song I haven’t thought of in years !
Now Tom Clark’s pet name will be , ” Stray Cat ”
And his theme song ,
STRAY CAT STRUT
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Black and orange stray cat sittin’ on a fence
I ain’t got enough dough to pay the rent
I’m flat broke but I don’t care
I strut right by with my tail in the air
Stray cat strut, I’m a ladies cat
I’m a feline Casanova, hey man that’s that
Get a shoe thrown at me from a mean old man
Get my dinner from a garbage can
Don’t go crossing my path
I don’t bother chasing mice around
I slink down the alleyway looking for a fight
Howling to the moonlight on a hot summer night
Singin’ the blues while the lady cats cry
“Wild stray cat, you’re a real gone guy”
I wish I could be as carefree and wild
But I got cat class and I got cat style
I don’t bother chasing mice around
I slink down the alleyway looking for a fight
Howling to the moonlight on a hot summer night
Singin’ the blues while the lady cats cry
“Wild stray cat, you’re a real gone guy”
I wish I could be as carefree and wild
But I got cat class and I got cat style
LOL what an awesome theme song! I just watched the official video on youtube.
I can see that one on Jaros. Lil’ Tommy? Not so much.
Oh ok. So is J the big ole tom cat on this block LOL?
Jarek’s no cat. More like a secretary bird.
Tom Clark should go back and methodically copy – paste all his posts into a single document, and find a publisher.
In 600 years some dope will claim he’s Nostradamus.
Maybe sooner.
Fuck all this working shit. We are all in the wrong business.
As the old saying goes ;
If you can’t dazzle them with your brilliance , or impress them with your blood , sweat , and tears ,
Then baffle them with your bullshit.
* stray cat nods enthusiastically *
KA, that ‘old saying’ can be attributed to the great WC Fields.
Incidentally, that poem is hilarious. (And clever)
LOL tom clark a Nostradamus you say? Gosh in that case I suppose the heavens will be rolling up like scrolls any moment now and the moon will turn blood red too. You see, there is actually a case to be made that tom is a prophet. I can’t tell you how. More is non verbal than verbal. But to the unspiced eye his quips may be strange or sketchy or spastic.
I’m going with spastic. I remember the epithet “spaz” used to be (yoos to be) quite a thing. Mostly for the kids ten years older than me (teenagers in the 60’s). Kind of faded in popularity by the 70’s. JohnAZ probably used “spaz” a lot (“Look at that weird kid! What a spaz!”) in his day.
Oh I like that! Let’s bring back spaz!!
‘Spaz’ was going strong in 80s UK, I can tell you that.
Where I was at (midwest, USA) spaz gave way to geek in the 70’s, with nerd coming on board in the 80’s. Granted, you still heard a spaz or two in the hallways, but geek was the mainstay among the “polite” epithets, almost girly in its mildness.
Personally, I and the kids I ran with always preferred the nuclear option, “fucking retard,” which was usually posed as a question. “What, are you a fucking retard (optional: fucking retarded), or what?” The affirmative option being strongly implied. I know my gym and shop teachers were both fond of that construction, and almost all of us got it at least once, some of us more than most.
I know that I personally, got a “you must be the dumbest fuckin’ retard on the planet,” from an old Italian head chef at the restaurant I worked at for slicing his onions to thick and throwing away too much of the skins.
Of course nowadays, such constructions are verboten and would likely get the offender fired and sent to the gulag somewhere, which goes to prove the point. Yes, the current woke generations are indeed “FUCKING RETARDED.”
>>too thick<<

“Up your ass with a ripsaw, Night Owl”
One of his classics. A little strange, but a classic nonetheless.
Heard a hillbilly story long, long ago that I still remember. A fellow notorious for having accidents was working on a crude homemade ripsaw contraption that was powered by a gasoline motor. He was fiddling with the carburetor on it while the thing was running and accidently made contact with an uninsulated spark plug terminal. When his body jerked backwards from the shock he bumped his butt into the running ripsaw blade. The result was 50 stitches in his ass and the story followed him around for a long time. He was lucky that it was something people could laugh about years later.
So pick up where we left off: Why would the American State Department set up a Nazi regime in Ukraine – if in fact they did?
Paula: No one said that Zelensky was a Nazi! So real Nazis would follow the lead of a Jew backed by the Jewish Underworld and the Jewish controlled American State Department?
Now, granted, they American Elite never believed all the evil propaganda they promulgated anent Nazis, but by the same token, they certainly opposed them and continue to oppose such ideas and practices that would lead to strong nations and free peoples.
So what did they really set up? A faux Nazi regime, with Ukrainian “Nazis” who aren’t against them and who foolishly believe that they are going to be allowed to be a real nation. I assume that they have little real power outside the military and that Zelensky and Co keep them on a short leash. He doesn’t allow any opposition party. That’s the kind of Democracy Ukraine has become.
Why did the State Department set such a faux Nazi regime? To deflect attention from the real rulers of Ukraine. It worked, right?
They used the Nazis as a proxy army to kick out the pro-Russian govenrnment. The Maidan Coup. Then they used them to terrorize the people in the seperatist regions.
Just as they used the headchoppers to try and remove Assad over in camel country.
It is not very complicated, Jarek.
So you believe they are real Nazis, then? Taking orders from the traditional enemies of Nazism?
You’re being very simple minded. The simple answer is often wrong. You’ve taken the poison bait that was offered to you.
Jarek is understandably having a tough time with seeing the real world work of actual nazis, which probably conflicts with his romanticized idea of them.
They’re not Nazis, they’re Satanists. But they know people will be like Nazis Nazis oh my and yawn if they called them Satanists. Y’all are being just as played as everyone else.
Japan’s plan to drop swastikas as temple symbol sparks backlash
A Japanese proposal to stop using swastikas to identify temples on tourist maps has sparked a backlash.
Japan’s official map-making body said foreigners might mistake it for a Nazi symbol, and that temples should be represented by a three-storey pagoda instead.
It is one of six map symbols the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI) has proposed dropping, as Japan prepares for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
‘The idea is foolish’
The GSI came up with the suggestions after speaking to experts and surveying more than 1,000 people, including tourists, embassy officials and foreign students.
It is conducting a public consultation before making an official decision, but some people in Japan are not happy.
Many say the ancient Sanskrit symbol – which has been adopted into Japanese where it is pronounced manji – has long been associated with Buddhism and Japanese culture, and that the tourists should learn this.
In this tweet, Twitter user Fei Explorer linked to a news article on the change and asked rhetorically: “So if terrorists hang up the Union Jack, does this mean the UK should change its flag? Or the USA or Australia?”
Tweet by @pluvo_sunny asking in Japanese: “So if terrorists hang the Union Jack does this mean the UK should change its flag? Or the USA or Australia?”

Another Twitter user, Konosaki Lem, said: “It’s said some would mistake the manji for the Nazi symbol, but Buddhism has a much longer history with this symbol. So I strongly oppose changing our maps for some foreigners who are ignorant and extremely stupid. The idea is foolish.”
Tweet in Japanese by @etherealcat saying: “Apparently, the map’s swastika mark will change for the Tokyo olympics. It’s said some would mistake it for the Nazi symbol but Buddhism has much longer history with this symbol so I strongly oppose changing our maps for some foreigners who are ignorant and extremely stupid. The idea is foolish. “
Thank you, SSL.
That the Japanese are even considering getting rid of the Swastika to please the ignorant and foolish show that they are seriously losing their way.
All to please ignorant Western tourists like Mary, who can’t distinguish between the trappings and the essence, or the symbol and the reality.
No, my Sturmabteilung bro.
I believe that they are taking money from what ever hand will provide it.
Everyone plays the long game when they have no real power.
Guessing Jarek probably wouldn’t like this article.
https://www.weeklyblitz.net/international/zelensky-recruits-azov-battalion-neo-nazis-isis-jihadists-and-criminals/
The real Nazis drove the Rothschilds out of Germany. These “nazis” work for them. Same, right?
Whose side are you on again? You like Corporate Capitalism which works hand in hand with International Banking. I think that’s a tell. You may wish that shit doesn’t stink, but it does. And these people have declared War against the human race.
The problem is, Jarek, is that you are stuck in the past and don’t know what current day fascists/nazis are or who they are.
Perhaps the end of the world can be summed up as a fatal collision between Schwab’s ‘Great Reset’ and Hagens’ ‘Great Simplification’. Before the laws of physics reassert themselves – they favour the latter – the collateral damage will be huge.
Somber pronouncements about limits was interesting 15 years ago. In fact, our host wrote a series of books speculating about possible scenarios and outcomes.
Today, the conversation (at least here) has moved on to dissecting current events within the context of geo political strategic objectives.
This would include domestic goals to implement population command & control systems, foreign affairs resource supply acquisition & denial initiatives, media propaganda saturation and financial monetary programs.
We should be depopulating ourselves, not waiting around for elites to depopulate us, or continuing in denial that overpopulation is the core global problem and wailing about how naughty the elites are.
The last group to do so, wins. See how that works? The implicit premise in your proposition is globalism or “we are the world”.
Yeah. I’m for enforcing it globally. I’m for going to war over it, cutting off all exports to Africa over it, jailing people over it, forcing sterilizations… etc.
A global one child policy, with a tiny bonus lottery.
I’m not for racial or tribal breeding battles (who can outbreed the other?).
I’m for lowering population across the board draconian style. Then, the usual tribal jockeying for position, the natural processes of regionalization could begin. That’s my ideal.
Will it happen? No.
We will have civil wars, carnage everywhere, eventually, local winners.
I’m for organized global degrowth. There’s really nothing else to be for, unless you prefer the prospects of absolute chaos, which is also viable. But, the organized route is worth acknowledging.
I’m NOT for voluntary reduced breeding by those concerned, Jarek. That is foolish and suicidal, yes.
“Depopulaiton for thee, but not for me.”
Seems like a winning idea.
Good luck.
Try “depopulaition” for everyone
Americans went for it, many having only two children only to be ruthlessly betrayed by the American Elite who opened the borders to the 3rd World.
You first.
Yes, NO. It’s all or nothing, everyone (enforcing majority) on board or no one.
If you think it would be better if we all fought it out naturally as consequences of overshoot play out, you might be right.
I’m plenty suspicious of top down programs. A depop program could go wrong so many ways.
Being an overshoot agnostic and saying “let’s ignore overpopulation in terms of public policy till it’s an absolutely immediate problem” might not be a terrible stance, if you are aware enough of the threat.
If it were a problem, it is one that folks like you have no moral authority to answer.
You are a sick man.
Any bets on this truck driver’s vaxx status?

Ouch! That’ll leave a mark!
This is actually funny and worse something I would do.
The look on the other guy’s face is classic.

That is all.
He was curious and slightly concerned, but not overly.
I can see him yelling out to his buddies, “Hey, looks like I killed this guy. Is that like, a homicide, or anything?”
“Nah, just pick up your ball and let’s play on. That’ll cost you a penalty stroke, of course.”
Really funny.
If I was the golfer, I would’ve just shrugged my shoulders and chalked it up to another vaxx death from ‘gardening’.
Swedish seismic service records two rather large explosions coincident with the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas leaks.
Very interesting. As always, Cui Bono?
In the immortal words of Victoria Nuland:
“Fuck The EU!”
Some politicians in Germany believe that the US blew up the pipeline as well. Rand Corporation submitted a report to the government and DNC that basically laid out the plan to destroy Europe by taking out their energy sources. The US actually wants Europe destroyed and the believe the US is their ally or something silly like that.
Now those filthy Germans can’t back out when they get cold. One is reminded of the hundreds of thousands of German POW’s that Ike murdered in the “camps”. They were just barb wire enclosures. No shelters. The men died of exposure.
It seems someone blew it up. Who and why?
SS Dolphins, perhaps directed by Elite Navy Frogmen.
Why. Who is U.S. trying to squeeze? Europe, Russia, both? Russia, at Germany’s expense, I guess?
The Allies will remain as Allies now!
Read about the Indian Prophet, Hiawatha, and the Ring of Peace. He brought Peace to the Iroquois peoples centuries before the appearance of the White Man. It continued after his death, always getting bigger and bigger. Soon tribes were forced to join – or else. The Ring of Peace became Dar al Harb – the House of War as the Muslims like to say.
The whole world is divided into the House of Peace (Islam) and the House of War (non-Islam) Once conquered, they are part of the House of Peace! How simple it all is as Night Owl might say. Why didn’t we think of this. It’s all just good guys and bad guys who can be made into good guys.
Lol.
Someone on twitter suggesting Russia sabotaged the line, to blame on others and squeeze NATO, stir up shit.
Historically, Russia doesn’t seem to depend on false flags to get its way. That’s more a US thing…
Jarek in a huff.
It’s ok bro, this isn’t the Stormfront forum, so you are going to get pushback on some of your posts.
Germany, Robert.
The purpose of NATO is to keep Germany down, the US in and Russia out.
Lord Ishmay, first Sec General of NATO
One of the main goals of goading Russia into invading Ukraine was to stop the Nordstream pipeline.
They said it openly, again and again.

I think the plan is to break Europe, and once broken, allow the whipped dog to seek shelter under the Chinese tent.
Along the way enriching traders in commodities like energy and food, while depriving the population of both.
US/NATO/Azov nazis, take your pick.
Aha, remember the name Meloni. Italy just went far right.
Sweden and Hungary, far right, GB Brexit, France almost went right, Germany drifting right.
The EU maybe short lived as countries feel the brunt of US led stupidity of Russia, Russia, Russia. This winter should be interesting as a continent of very cold folks find out who is really buttering their bread and more and more drift away from US influence and toward Russia. Meloni has already stated that Italy is going to think less EU and more Italia in its economy.
It all started during Trump, Brexit, and has accelerated during Biden. Surprise. The world does not buy the Biden gimme BS as much as the American lemming class does.
End result? Strawman.
Europe continues with EU experiment and spurns US influence for Russian fossil fuels. Russia joins EU along with Ukraine. Europe drifts towards BRICS as the US loses influence worldwide. The WEF splits and chooses BRICS plus EU to build its global power base. The US becomes isolated or even comes apart, firing useless verbal bullets all the way. It becomes just another third world country on the Western Hemisphere as Brazil rises. The drug trade rises in America feeding the wealth of BRICS. Corporations globalize and leave America due to the tax and spend the Left will shove down America’s throat. Expat migration will explode as America becomes a Mecca for the homeless and destitute. Haves leaving and Have nots continuing to believe the WEF gaslighting.
Kruschev may have been correct. The US will impale itself on its own petard.
She’s a bit confused, in favor of NATO but not the EU. They are the same people, with the former as the military arm of of the latter. Hopefully there are some more learned people in the background to guide her.
Worst case scenario: She is for “Ukraine”. A newly minted Italian version of the Neo-Con Republican War Hawks.
The US will impale itself on its own petard. – JAZ

Today’s most mixed metaphor.
People do this all the time. If I had collected the mixed metaphors I see onlline, I’d have quite a collection.
I heard one of Meloni’s speeches, and she makes total sense to me.
Congratulations, Italy!!
So far, Western feminists seem to be mum.
They value woke values over women’s values.
Overheard?
Man complaining about Ian in Florida. Damn hurricanes, too much damn water and ocean surges. Let’s move to Arizona, or So Cal, or Las Vegas.
No wait?
Wow – talk about from feast to famine as far as water is concerned huh. Though I heard that ya’ll had a great summer monsoon.
Yup, a a cool summer, less than 110 degrees.
Sorry AGWers.
And good thunderstorms.
Las Vegas flooded twice.
However, here is the rub.
Lake Mead supplies water to the lower Colorado River which supplies Arizona, California and Las Vegas. The Arizona part of it is called the CAP, Central Arizona Project, a ditch that extends from the river across Arizona to Phoenix and Tucson. Both cities use CAP water as a significant part of their total usage. In years of good monsoons and abundant water in Mead, water is pumped into aquifers in both cities. Latest amount about 5-6 years of use.
Back yo Lake Mead. It is getting lower and lower over fifty years, not just recently. Both Mead and Powell are draining because of drought yes, but more so over use by over development and expanding agriculture on the three state region. California is number one, by a long shot. Arizona, to get funding for the CAP had to set itself lower on the totem pole, water rights wise. So it is getting hit, the CAP that is, first.
Mead is shrinking fast now. Its level is measured as its elevation above sea level. To set boundaries, it loses power to the MGs making electricity at 1050 feet. It goes dead pool, no water release at all from Hoover dam at around 980 feet, no water for the lower Colorado basin. It is currently near 1043 feet. It went down to 1040 feet this summer. The monsoons kicked it up about 4 feet or so.
Only four feet, it is now losing again as we enter another dry spell.
People want to blame this on the AGW, an easy excuse. Droughts happen. Did you know that all the planning for water distribution was done using inflow information from very wet, not normal years. Figures.
It is development of homes and agriculture that is the real culprit. America is not off the hook however. That Agriculture area supplies 25% of US produce.
Peak Oil is going to tear the US apart in 20 to 50 years.
Peak water ???? Maybe ten?? If things remain the same, the West will head East. Hope the East can handle the load.
Arizona first, then Nevada then California. When California goes, the US goes.
Nice update, JAZ, thanks.
CA is in trouble for many reasons – and this is a major one.
chemtrails

Referendum in Ukraines eastern provinces (soon to be Russia’s western provinces) ends today: now things should get interesting.
Things will get interesting when the internet starts to… stutter.
I read a fair amount of historical stuff, Also watch it on the tube. It kills me how the teeth are perfect, and the smells are absent. i spent 34 years on the bone box. and believe me the smells never go away. People and nature stink.
And just imagine how these judgey people think they are better than everyone else lol. They ain’t nothing but dust just the same as everybody else.
I see where some Russian dude shot up 17 school kids and wounded another 24. This guy’s talents shouldn’t have been allowed to go to waste. Putin should have drafted him for the Russian army. Too bad he committed suicide. Oh well, at least now he won’t have to serve. If only he had read “How to Break Your Arm” first.

$12 billion more in aid for Ukraine in this latest spending bill, which will bring the total to nearly $75 billion since March 2022. As it stands now, the USA is bankrolling the entire war and funding the whole Ukrainian nation.
Americans went for it, many having only two children only to be ruthlessly betrayed by the American Elite who opened the borders to the 3rd World.
Elites, pols like Javits.
and the 170 million is 370 million. growing.
Yes, this was not a depopulation program of any kind, and was perhaps a darwin award moment for those who followed recommendations.
A depopulation program would have to be a majority-consensus backed, globally enforced program.
It would require majority popular support.
Something like the popular support for the (pointless, irrational, actually suicidal) covid lockdown and vaccine programs (lol)
SUicide salons – this would go a long way in reducing population.
Hey, why not. You’re bringing out the libertarian in me.
it is here on earth.
look it up. looks like a tanning bed.
for real.
I was just in Vegas, and didn’t see any booths open.
gus,
You’re the last person here I’d expect to visit Las Vegas.
Was it just as insanely packed with the great unwashed as when I was there mid-90s?
Lotta homeless wanderers n burnouts. The strip is probably much more corporatized. We didn’t stay out past 9, lol. A monday and Tuesday. It was pretty relaxed.
Greater Las Vegas is a slum, but we had good sushi and hole-in-the-wall mexican.
We could also stop stigmatizing suicide. Make it acceptable – like being a furry.
We roll out the litter box for furries, let’s roll out the death box (probably needs a better name) for suicides. Hook it up to any propane outlet for incineration. Ashes will be compressed into a brick (inscription optional) and left behind for loved ones.
Agree. Hey, if someone set up a nice enough suicide salon, that would actually remove a LOT of stress from my life. If I got diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, or 4th stage cancer, etc. I’d just waltz right in and end it by my terms (in comfort) rather than becoming a vegetable, etc.
Dr. “Death” was massively ahead of his time, IMHO.
I always thought Kevorkian was an amazing humanitarian.
If you have enough pets that are suffering and you elect to have them put to sleep, you understand this.
“Suicide bag” is the currently fashionable term used for inert gas asphyxiation. A small tank of nitrogen or helium, a regulator, a hose, and a mask is all you need. All done in less than five minutes, no muss, no fuss.
Personally, I prefer my ashes to just be disposed of in whatever way’s convenient at the time. I won’t be in them, so no need to get sentimental about any of it. Just leftover minerals.
Dis, if you want to check out via asphyxiation, I’d recommend nitrous oxide as the gas. Die laughing.
2 children is considered replacement
A strict cap of two would depopulate.
Yes, 2.1 is the estimated replacement level stat.
Exactly.
And it’s preferable and less draconian than vaccine genocide, lab created disease, and mass starvation
The world needs less people
Humanely
Yes.
For anyone who ever doubted the existence of the Uniparty please see Closet-Case Graham’s anti-15 week anti-abortion bill.
Introduced with fanfare, hyperbole, and media fireworks just in time for the election.
Just in time to get an unenthused dem electorate beaten down by Biden &Co whipped-up and out voting.
Graham is the cynical slime monster that’s only in it for himself. Despite his pantomimes
I’d be more surprised to see a US politician that wasn’t a cynical slime monster.
You gotta luv DUHSantis’ hypocracy. He chastises folks who choose, for whatever reason, to wear a mask, then issues a MANDATORY evacuation order for people to leave their homes ahead of a storm. What’s good for the goose is longer good for the gander, I guess.
Really? So you are a big opponent of nanny statism? I like you t c. I’m for legalized suicide, and in my opinion, people wishing to experience a hurricane full on shouldn’t be denied the experience just because people in authority wish to be their nannies. Nannies always spoil our fun, making us come inside, making us go to school, making us brush our teeth etc. etc. To hell with ’em I say!
The storm is real in this case.
yes
Yes, Tom. This is called logic.
A storm can destroy your home and potentially kill you.
A medical-looking mask does nothing to stop a virus.
Deep thoughts with Tom Clark.
Tom just wants attention… another turn of the crank
The storm surge is expected to top 10′ meaning a 10 foot wall of water is going to hit the coast like a tsunami this will toss people and cars around like tinker toys.
That mask might stop someone from sneezing spit on you nothing more.
Do you think about what you post?
You certainly do come off as rather douche.
I would love someone to name their band “Rather Douche” lmao!!!
I think Douche Rather would sound a bit more elevated!
Woodchuck…exactly. Thinking adults should be able to make these decisions on their own. Survivors might even get a Darwin award.
LOL, survivors don’t get Darwin awards… those who don’t, do.
Is he a caricature of an imbecile, or just straight up dim AF??
I can’t tell. Either a brilliant Poe, or a dumbfuck – lol.
Darwin is about the survival of the fittest, so it’s only natural for somebody to also view the award given to somebody that just barely made it through a bottleneck that killed everybody else. Like Noah getting a Darwin award he made it! Survival of the fittest. To get such an award, somebody has to take the time to get some publicity, make and award and present it. Who will step up to the plate and do this?
Except the Darwin awards are literally handed out (posthumously in case you can’t follow) to imbeciles who failed
at life
*Sigh* please google “Darwin Award”
I am guessing that issuing a mandatory evacuation doesn’t mean you will go to jail for not evacuating, it means that you can’t expect rescuers to risk their lives saving you.
If the evacuation is mandatory you are on your own if you stay.
That is how I interpret it.
Well then, hopefully Lil’ Tommy has relocated to FL for the winter already, decides to ride the storm out, and wins the Darwin Award he’s coveted for so long. Posthumously, of course. Alas, Lil’ Tommy, we hardly knew ye!
Prominent Hollywood producer Zach Estrin dead at 51 after jogging. Till then, in perfect health. Cause? “Sudden death syndrome”.
I don’t follow actors’ idiotic finger-wagging for all free-thinkers to get jabbed (except by accidental news offshoot), but has anyone else noticed how the hue and cry to “get the vaccine, you selfish, needle-fearing morons!” has died down, now that even some of the most blinkered and clueless are finally realizing they just might have been, just maybe, perhaps, possibly, plausibly even, been taken for a historical ride?
Exactly, remember when they claimed this was a disease of the unvaccinated? So are these vaxxed up people all dying because of the unvaccinated? I don’t think so….
How could all those unvaxxed be so selfish? lol
People are starting to bring up SIDS in the context of SADS now.
The link? “Vaccines”
Back when I had my kids, it was suggested that it was caused by sleeping in baby nests or how they were put down in the cot.
I was told it was caused by sleeping with your babies.
I was also told that it only happened to infants between 2 and 6 months.
I ignored the first advice, but never put 2 and 2 together with the second.
There’s a modest memorial to U.S. Coast Gaurd rescue on the beach outside Savannah , Georgia.
They used to go out in fucking whale boats to save people in distress.
I wonder if the Coast Gaurd has many Congressional Medals of Honor to its credit ?
They should .
To HEAD TOWARDS a hurricane or typhoon is crazy – brave.
I have only seen the aftermath of a hurricane ,
and the message was ;
You don’t fuck with a hurricane , a hurricane fucks with you.
The shear power of it is staggering.
Kesa,
Old (?) Coast Guard Motto:
…They say you gotta go out…but they don’t say you gotta come back….
It has been a topic here in Germany for a long time.
When we had our son, as I have mentioned in the past, we had a long mandatory sit-down with the doc about the risks of certain vaccines.
The “antivaxer” smear is common in the US, but I was surprised to see how contentious vaccines were here in Germany, and this was long before the clot-shot came along.
Maybe Dolly Parton will be next.
‘Vaxene, vaxene, vaxene, vax-ee-ee-eene …’
She addressed herself to ‘all you cowards out there’ (to go git yer shot).
I see Hilary Mantel of ‘Wolf Hall’ and ‘Bring out the Bodies’ went ‘suddenly and peacefully’ the other day, a day after a 33-year-old Scottish DJ and a 51-year-old English folk singer, who went to Oxford (?) for a gig and just collapsed and died.
Bring out the bodies, indeed.
Jolene! what a great song.
Been listening to ‘mama tried’ by Merle Haggard a lot lately.
“please don’t take my man because you can” – love it! hope you’re well.
Yes, Jolene is a great song. A singer friend of mine covered it, did a great job.
I wish I could have been there.
My immediate reaction would have been ;
” cowardice ” is the wrong assumption bitch. ”
I haven’t smoked 3 + packs of cigarettes a day for three decades ,
And preached , ” Death to the U.S. government ” even longer , I suppose , because I’m particularly cowardly.
You COULD argue I’m foolhardy , but not cowardly.
” She’s got some hard bark on her ” would be my preferred self – description. 🙂
I saw an old Dolly Parton tour bus on display at Dollywood one time.
Save the engineering , the architecture, and the landscaping, it was the most interesting thing in Dollywood.
( you know you must be getting old , or else an odd bird to begin with , when you go to an amusement park to study the engineering , architecture, and landscaping. )
The decor of her tour bus was genuine Edwardian . It could have been a stateroom on the Titanic.
I always wondered , did it come with that decor , or did she pick out that decor ?
If she picked it out , then Dolly Parton is far removed from simple trailer trash , to know what Edwardian would be.
And great taste , too , at least.
Edwardian decor, that’d date from about 1910, a few generations before Dolly was born. I could picture her as young girl going thru old Post & Life magazines in her grandmothers cabin greatly impressed by pics of King Edward’s quarters inside Buckingham Palace.
She’s super smart and savvy. I saw that in an interview she did in the 1970s with Baba Wawa. Baba came off as a mean elitist asshole, and Dolly was pure class.
Which makes me even sadder that now she’s nothing more than a vaxx promoter.
Didn’t you know?
Jogging causes SADS and myocarditis.
Q comment from above: “Elsewhere an old pair of sneakers was listed and a collection of swizzle sticks. Why he would keep such things is a mystery that a psychiatrist might have an opinion about.”
My response: I actually collect old swizzle sticks, especially if they are from interesting old bars, casinos, restaurants, airlines, etc. They are an interesting piece of ephemera from the great days gone by era of America that should be saved and preserved.
I hope that these were not simply tossed into the dumpster.
Quite right. There is an entire network of swizzle-stick trading of those from legendary and/or defunct Tiki bars.
I hope that these were not simply tossed into the dumpster. – cow

Sorry cow, I’m afraid they were. When you’re winding up the affairs of an entire life decisions have to be made.
” Referendum in Ukraines eastern provinces (soon to be Russia’s western provinces) ends today: now things should get interesting. ”
— BRH
Oh , I’m hopping from one foot to the other like a child on Christmas eve !
Exit polling says the vote is running 98% in favor in the DPR and LPR . ( That’s an easy one to predict without psychic powers. )
But it isn’t over ‘ till the fat lady sings.
I’m hoping , hoping hoping Kherson and Zaphrozheny ( however the fuck you spell that ) vote to return to Russia as well.
Next stop Odessa !
By the way , I supported, and STILL do , support self determination / secession for Ukraine , the Baltic states , the Caucasus, and central Asian republics.
— BUT NOT if it means expansion of NATO , fucking with the Russians, and becoming American lackeys.
But then I would likewise prefer it if Europe , and especially Germany , threw off the American yoke.
I don’t know if that report that claims the idea was to loot and enslave Europe is authentic, or another Protocols of Zion – type deal ?
But the sooner they realize that the future is Eurasia / BRICS , the better off they will be.
Too late.
The US blew up both Nordstream pipelines to make sure that wouldn’t happen.
Ehhh , pfft !
I’m hopelessly biased !
My policy has ALWAYS BEEN ; Don’t fuck with Russia.
So there’s that.
They fuck back. HARD. When it comes to stiff prick contests, Ol’ SloJo is WAY out of his depth with Vlad. Numbnut Zelensky as well.
Yup, as in today, somebody blew up the Nordstream 1 Gas Pipeline — the Main Gas Pipeline into Germany. Natgas is bubbling to the surface in the Baltic Sea.
A little suspicious this should happen on the last day of the referendums –Putin sending a message, the message being “F#kk all of ya”.
There is no mystery at all:
Jo Jo Magoo threatened to stop it. And so, it appears, his NATO cohorts or the CIA or whoever, are doing just that:
https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2022/02/23/statement-by-president-biden-on-nord-stream-2/
Not even subtle anymore, are they?
MQ…you are brilliant…I’m a dumbfuck. You nailed it, baby! Now tell me where Ian’s gonna hit w/in +/- 5 mi. and I’ll:
1) Fix you up w/ a job on the Wx Channel right next to Dr. Rick Nabb and Jim Cantore;
2) Know that, yes indeed, you really are brilliant.
I don’t know nuthin’ ’bout no Ian. I’m not in Florida, I’m in Idaho!
Ian is not an intuitive name for a hurricane. I wonder if there has been a Hurricane Harry – I have always thought Harry Kane is a great name for a sportsman who is a force of nature … perhaps.
Could there be a Hurricane Kahnyay?
Is it racist to name hurricanes standard names or would it be racist to name them stereotypical black ones?
I’m guessing this is one of those times both are racist.
Indeed, it is very odd that no-one has demanded to know why there is not equal representation! Perhaps it is because hurricanes are not a good thing and people don’t generally want to be identified with them.
I look forward to Heatwave Hannah.
I could have sworn there was another hurricane Ian a few years ago, then remembered it was Ivan.
So, it would seem both names are somewhat ethnic.
@ tom clark:
These people–Ian, Rick, and Jim–are unknown to me, as is the Wx Channel (whatever that may be). Are these people relatives of yours? What are they “hitting” and why?
MQ…what makes you think I’m in FL? And why the hell are you in ID? You should be in CA. land of the free and home of the brave…the future of Amerika. But then, I’m a real softie and really naive…that’s why I post to this blog.
I don’t think you’re in FL. I just know I’m not.
