The strange demeanor of CNN’s news readers is telling us something: check out Erin Burnett in the seven o’clock time slot. No affect, like she is on drugs, in a kind of trance… or just going through the motions against her will. Same thing with Kate Bolduan, a sort of permanent half-scowl, as if she’s been told to carry out a detested chore, like cleaning the carpet where hubbie’s old dog had another “accident.” Is it, perhaps, that they just don’t believe the bullshit they are serving up to anxious viewers anymore? Or is it something even darker? That would be my guess. Next thing you know, their heads will start rotating 360 degrees, projectile vomiting pea soup at the cameras.

I surf through all the major cable news channels, of course, to detect the textures, flavors, and odors of the American zeitgeist — the spirit of the times. It’s a harsh, sour thing these days, with overtones of dead skunk wrapped in a used diaper and dipped in vinegar, almost impossible to choke down and process, like being trapped in a room where evil dwells in a bad dream. It’s gotten so that some of us are beginning to wonder about actually living in the presence of true evil. As embodied, say, by “Joe Biden,” the ghostly figure said to be chief executive of the US government — but apparently in the service of forces and entities outside these fifty states.

Ol’ White Joe was back on TV yesterday issuing threats to his countrypersons. We are in thrall to a pandemic disease, you understand, this organism called Covid-19 and some 80-million of us have not availed ourselves of the magical vaccine required to prevent the transmission of said organism. We must take the vaccine in order to protect the people who already got the vax — many of them more than one shot — from catching Covid-19.

Hold on now… you say they got multiple doses of the vax but they can still catch the disease? Yes, they can, evidently. Okay… well… what kind of vax is it that doesn’t keep you from catching the disease? Oh, a most excellent vax! And you must take it, or lose your income, forfeit your useful position in this economy, give up all the normal routines of existing in a free society.

Then… this is no longer a free society? Oh, but it is… as long as you take as many vaxes as we can force you to take… and, by the way, don’t badmouth the vaxes. We will find out and we will deal with you. We’ll come for you. We’ll take away your access to banking. We’ll sic federal agencies on your case. You will become a non-person, perhaps an unperson! There, that’ll fix you!

That pin on the national grenade I’ve been alluding to…? I think Ol’ White Joe pulled it yesterday. Something big is going to blow now. I’m thinking: what remains of the American economy is what’ll blow. You see, those 80-million of our fellow countrypersons remain unvaxed for a good reason. This vax has got a rather bad reputation. Not only is it largely ineffective, it can disable and even kill you. The news of this has gotten around, despite the efforts of CNN and The New York Times to conceal it. The active agent in the vaccine, the spike protein, attaches to the endothelial linings of your blood vessels and provokes blood clots in them. It especially likes the capillaries in vital organs: the heart, brain, liver, kidneys, and so on.

This is not good for you. Most adults of moderate intelligence understand that developing blood clots in vital organs is not a good thing. Many such adults in moderately good health might prefer taking their chances of getting Covid-19, wrassling their way through it, and coming out with full-fledged natural immunity, superior to the iffy immunity the vaxes confer (combined with those bonus blood clots).

There is also the matter of effective clinical early treatments for Covid-19 being suppressed by the government, the public health and medical authorities, and those dour babes on cable news. I speak (sssshhhh) of ivermectin, monoclonal antibodies, prednisone, Vitamin D, zinc, et cetera. MSNBC broadcast a story out of Kentucky Thursday about the terrible surge of Covid-19 ripping through the ICUs there. It was quite a sob story. The patients were all on ventilators. (Kentucky docs apparently haven’t heard that the ventilator routine has poor outcomes.) No mention of early clinical treatments with the inexpensive and effective ivermectin protocol. Has the information not traveled through the Cumberland Gap? Well, boo-hoo, then….

Now, something tells me that of those 80-million unvaxed Americans, most have made up their minds pretty firmly about this. “Joe Biden” speaks from the head of a government that has been lying to them about, well… just about everything, for a number of years, and this Covid-19 virus is one of the sketchiest stories that government has tried to put over —Tony Fauci funding development of the disease in a Chinese lab, and elsewhere… the shady business around the vaccine patents and the royalties from the sales of them… the spooky VAERS numbers… the testimony of quite a few medical giants warning about the vaxes…. This “hesitant” 80-million is probably going to take the sage advice of former First Lady Nancy Reagan, and just say “no.” Out of good ol’ American politeness, they may even add … thank you… no, thank you….

If “Joe Biden’s” government insists, the politeness may evaporate, and our countrypersons will walk away. From their jobs. Maybe not every single one of them, but plenty… enough of them… enough to make sure that many of the activities in America seize up, including hospitals and doctors’ practices, with nurses, technicians, and even some doctors walking away. Yes, you will be shocked to learn that even some American doctors still have an ethics module in their well-trained brains. Also, probably trucking, so that things like food and auto parts and medicines don’t get where they are needed — which is, let’s face it, every place. That could harm the US economy, for sure, but it could also harm the administration of “Joe Biden.”

Wait for it. The pin has been pulled. Watch the USA descend into its season of darkness and chaos. Then what…? Redemption is a possibility.

Americans put up with anything to keep their current life as is. If it happens, only the courts can undo it. I must be watching a different version of reality.

    • rainmaker September 10, 2021 at 10:12 am #

sstumpff – is this the “new normal” that I’ve heard so much about?

We were talking about states to move to. watching these govs bend or resist.really makes.some.thing clear. I liked mn wi and mi but their govs are pretty much broken libs despite the up country conservative. Mt seems great but so expensive and getting overran.

        • JTinMD September 10, 2021 at 11:05 am #

Are you thinking about where to settle under current circumstances or those that will obtain after the fall? Those govs will either be majorly in charge, or not at all. A pertinent question, no?

        • thirdcoastlegend September 10, 2021 at 11:20 am #

The Upper Midwest states have terrible governors, but you never need worry about water in the Great Lakes basin.

I also like Montana, but the water and wildfire issues out there give me great pause. The influx of Commiefornians is likely to ruin their state government.

We’ve already jumped the gun here in the Great White North. Vaccine passports are now mandatory in Canada’s three largest provinces Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia and the latest political dictate from Ottawa has it than anyone travelling outside the country will need a vaccine passport, Of course we still can’t cross the border by land to visit the our American brothers even though 75% of Canadians are full vaccinated, We can fly to the United States no problem but we can’t drive there, We’re in the middle of a nasty federal election over here and Justin Trudeau is being greeted with angry mobs throwing projectiles at every campaign stop, Very un-Canadian according to the national media and guess who’s getting the blame? The pro-Trump, anti-vaccination crowd.

          • FallenHero September 10, 2021 at 12:24 pm #

Right so how does minnasota wisconsin and michigan fit into this? Seem like country side is great but under very bad rule.

          • Blackbird September 10, 2021 at 8:51 pm #

Fallen, yes we have a very bad governator here in the Wolverine State, but up north we don’t pay much attention to her. Not much evidence of state government except the State Police busting meth labs and the DNR busting poachers. Up here everyone is either a criminal or Amish/Mennonite.

Governor Whitler (darned spellchecker) – I meant Witless, is already shutting down our gas supply. Lock the rubes out in the cold will be the long-term strategy when the lights go out, would be my guess. In the end, federal will (Big Business) will trump state will anyway. No Shot, no Chip, no cash, no way to pay your property tax – wherever you are. Your personal “Molon labe” moment.

My advice (in less than 2 paragraphs): state level governments come and go, pay no attention to the entity(?) in front of the curtain, pay attention to who is already living in the place you are considering escaping to.

I love California. Great state, magnificent beauty. Too many people, but we’re in a rural part of the state.

Arnold, who was a great Governor here(Republican) said it best when asked about Covid. With rights come responsibilities. See, he grew up in Austria, the son of a Police Chief. Mandatory 2 year military service. Tough guy. Arnold gets it, unlike the over fed clowns on this board. Hey didn’t Trump give us the Vaccine? Remember fast track?

            Bunch of nucklehead.

        • cowbell81 September 10, 2021 at 11:48 am #

The only reason WI has been electing terrible left wing governors lately is because of Milwaukee and Madison. Those two cities needs to be destroyed, or at least removed from the State.

I would suggest drawing a diagonal line north of Milwaukee, to include Chicago and Madison, all the way up to the Twin Cities. That would be its own liberal bastion. Everything north and further south of there would be new independent states.

          • hortonz September 10, 2021 at 12:09 pm #

I wish somebody would remove Quebec and the entire GTA [Greater Toronto Area] from our confederation and we’d never have to worry about Canada being governed by liberals again,

          • Blackbird September 10, 2021 at 9:19 pm #

In Michigan, the line could be drawn from Muskegon to Bay City, an old biogeographical division separating the lower peninsula into the fertile oak forests of the southern part of the state from the barren pine forests of the north. Ghetto from trailer park. Densely populated from sparsely populated. North of the line Fuck Biden and Confederate flags take the place of BLM and rainbow flags. You need a permit to open burn south of the line.

          • AngryFarmer September 10, 2021 at 9:39 pm #

I think the only way to prevent civil war is to allow the cities to form semi-autonomous city-states, roughly analogous to Hong Kong.

They’d no longer be subject to the US Constitution, and theyd lose their vote in national elections.

            Amicable divorce.

The alternative is very, very ugly.

          • pranah September 11, 2021 at 12:49 am #

@Blackbird–I’m in Michigan, too, and what you say is true. The lower peninsula is like two different countries. The northern LP is sparsely populated, lots of lakes, hillier than the southern LP. Traverse City is bonkers in tourist season, can barely drive through it, but the big bay is gorgeous. Have to watch out for bears.

          • ranchlife49 September 12, 2021 at 2:32 am #

They are called elections. Parties put up candidates and a vote is held. Don’t like who’s winning? Run better candidates.

I don’t like losing either, but not going to whine about it and disparage my opponent.

Bunch of entitled, arrogant folks on this board. Appalling to call yourself an American.

          • hmuller September 12, 2021 at 11:05 am #

            Angry Farmer,
I like your idea. The only problem is how will the cities be self-supporting. Grifters and welfare pimps trying to live off what they can steal from each other!? It will be like the old movie “Escape From New York City (1981).”

        • ThorsHammer September 10, 2021 at 7:40 pm #

It’s time. Time for marshal law. Time to place the criminal mass murderers masquerading as drug companies and their Fascist politicians in solitary confinement cells for life.

March into the White House and arrest Biden, his round heeled consort VP, and all their handlers and election manipulators..

Place the Government in the hands of a politically neutral Adviser. for six months.

Schedule new elections in six months along one-person-one-vote principles instead of the gerrymandered fraud masquerading as Democracy that we now have..

Legalize only verifiable dual copy paper balloting with no computer generated “votes.” allowed.

Outlaw lobbyists and political bribery under pain of the death penalty.

Withdraw all troops stationed outside the boundaries of the US.

Try all assassination by drone as murder.

          That is a start—.

          • World War Zeke September 10, 2021 at 8:08 pm #

That is actually an end. A workable one.

          • MaryQueen September 10, 2021 at 9:03 pm #

            “Martial Law” not “marshal law”.

Sorry Thors, don’t want to be a grammar nazi but that’s a big one for me. 😀

Why would anyone want martial law? That is the military keeping US down. Not the military arresting the top brass. That would be a coup.

          • Wizard of the Saddle September 10, 2021 at 11:50 pm #

I’m in sympathy with most of this.

BTW, it’s MARTIAL LAW, not “Marshall.” Not busting’ your chops. It’s a common error. It’s just a pet peeve of mine when I see it. Lol…

          • ThorsHammer September 11, 2021 at 8:31 am #

Actually now that I think about it marshal law might be better than Martial Law. It might stand a better chance of not becoming entrenched as so often happens when the Military take over. And there are fewer Napoleons among the Marshals than among the Generals.

        • Anthea September 10, 2021 at 9:09 pm #

I would suggest rural Missouri. I’m in Lafayette County, about 45 minutes from Kansas City and about 30 minutes from Sprouts in Lee’s Summit–good if accessibility to some urban amenities and business opportunities are important to you. Similarly situated, and even better, is Johnson County Missouri. It is known for having no county building codes and low taxes. Also for the high availability of homes on 5-10 acres. Johnson County became a bit of a real estate hotspot about five years ago. Prices roughly doubled in that time. But it is still much more affordable than most of the US.

If you would prefer more remote and more rural areas, the Missouri Ozarks is beautiful. Northern Missouri is not very scenic, but is good farmland for pretty cheap. Much of it is Amish country for that reason. There are lots of Amish/Mennonites all over Missouri.

If there are any real bottom-feeders here who are okay with a fixer-upper, double-wide, or single-wide in the boonies, there are quite a few down-at-the-heels lake communities (failed real estate devopements) in Lafayette County. One of them is Lake Lafayette, aka Dogpatch-by-the-Lake, which is where I live. Housing here has historically been dirt cheap, which you will notice if you have your realtor look up comps going back 20 years or so–though many of the really cheap places were never listed. (At $9k-$10K, they were too cheap for a realtor to bother with, plus I know of a couple of trailers on an acre that sold for $3,500 and $4,500, in former times.) I am now hearing of $175K and $200K appraisals for some very nice houses here. The locals are trying to hide their astonishment.

But, hey, at least it isn’t a “mean” tweet, isn’t it?

The fact that it has come to this means that we are winning. Resistors need to stand tough. They wouldn’t dare try this shit if they were ahead.

    • Pete September 10, 2021 at 10:15 am #

I respectfully disagree. The fact that it has come to this means we have ignored every warning we’ve been given since the end of Obama’s last term.

Through the captured DOJ and the LAWFARE pogrom, the leftists have been prosecuting civil war, since the Golden Golem of Greatness surprised them in 2016, and forced their hand in 2020. The Biden Regime, and it’s army are all in. They have demonstrated, time and again, their willingness to use violence to further their agenda.

I say to you, normal is gone and never coming back. What ever your faith and after life beliefs are, your life is on the line right now. Whether the threat is the virus, the vax or the law and laws to come.

There is no negotiation remaining, there is no workable separation, we have arrived at that moment every one of us has secretly dreaded, yet advertised with much bravado.

“The pin has been pulled,” doesn’t mean wait around to see if it goes off. It unambiguously means take cover and prepare your counter-attack.

This is the hill, and the fascists are advancing

      • benr September 10, 2021 at 10:36 am #

No some of us knew about the term New World order when Pappy Bush was talking about it.
We knew about shadowy steering committees like the Builderberg group CFR and club of Rome even when they were denied and very vigorously.
Some of us knew and our friends and relatives thought we were nuts rolled their eyes and said not this again.
Now some of those very friends and relatives are even bigger tin foil hat wearers then we are.

        • Pete September 10, 2021 at 10:43 am #

          “No” – no what?

I don’t care about uni-party arguments, I don’t care who the bad guys are.

You can wait around to see if it goes off while you contemplate how smart you are. I’m taking cover.

No the problem predates Obama by decades.

          • Nik Charles September 10, 2021 at 11:48 am #

That’s what I was wondering “No” – what?

          • D from OR September 10, 2021 at 12:29 pm #

Taking cover? How long do you plan to stay? If by “hiding” you mean you will pretend to be something you’re not and believe things you don’t? If asked to help anyone being persecuted by the “fascists” will you refuse and continue to hide? There’s a name for this.

It’s not so easy to hide as it used to be in the as it now requires warped conformity. The desperation by TPTB to reign everyone in under a central power is real because all indications are the age has shifted and the atmosphere is different. The lies don’t hold. Though they’ve tried to create truth by inverting everything it’s a technique that requires more and more contrived narratives. These stories lack creativity so now they are often exposed within hours or days.

It’s not a time for hiding rather it’s a time for taking a stand.

Ike’s farewell address. How the millions of Americans watched that and didn’t get the point has always confounded me…or had that comfortable life plus a dose of pseudo patriotic parades and pregame govt worship Anthem celebrations already turned the pop into weak moral cowards by then…1961.

What Ike saw was the “progress” that had already taken place by the globalist cult since at least 1913 in taking over the US from within. He was freaked. It was obvious.

And his fellow “greatest generation” Americans did what in response to the warnings of their own decorated general and POTUS?

They yawned and asked someone to pass the chips while they played can kicking for another 60 years relishing in their “pensions” and SSI “they paid for” but never demanded be saved to actually”pay for it”. How would big gov had given the rest of the goodies they so richly deserved on the backs of future Americans if they’d done that after all?

They sure loved parades in their honor though.

My late Daddy said that America was a goner by the late ’40s because the communist termites had already chewed away a lot of the structure of America. While McCarthy was a drunken dick, he did some good, until he started digging around in the armed forces and offended a lot of patriotic people who unfortunately had a higher opinion of the Army than it may have merited. This is all rehashing the past, things we can’t undo. I dont know if there’s a hell of a lot we can do about the future, either, given the Wokester takeover of government and the military. Looks like Emory Thomas’s wet dream of sending non-Marxists to the ovens may come to fruition, after all.

There is some speculation that the Dims / wokesters have been DeathJabbed at about 4x the rate of the resistant right, even including spineless conservatives.

What does it mean to go into battle without the energy to lift a 50 lb sack of potatoes, or climb one flight of stairs? Army Strong! Be All You Can Be!

If we make it past Death Year 2022, that’s the OPFOR we face. The advertising techniques used against us by the Wall of Noise have worked so far to give the impression that far more than 5 or 10% of them are “all in”. Ha. They’re telling us “everybody’s doing it, so comply”, while maybe 70M lib suckers are lining up to virtue signal to their cult. Our bullsh*t detectors are flashing Red Alert.

Not a problem. As long as the Wokesters can find enough nerve tissue in the penises they cut off to create New Women they’ll be fine.

I don’t share your confidence, Liz. They made a bold move, and now it must be countered. They don’t care if businesses are hurt by this, and they would love nothing more than big protests. All sizable events will surely be infiltrated by agents provocateurs, leading to violence and guaranteed arrests after the fact, just like last January.

This is gonna require a long and very difficult underground movement.

As I see it, there are just too many sheeple, and they’ll be employed at hammering us back into our rabbit warrens. Woke GloboCap is firmly in control.

Biden was told to throw down the gauntlet and he did. Can the government enforce these shots on the populace? Only by depriving people of a means to earn a living, educate their children and having a compliant upper eschaton of people in government, private businesses and law enforcement willing to play along.

        • Hereward the Woke September 10, 2021 at 1:45 pm #

SW: many (most?) Red States won’t comply, so he’s already lost at least a third of the country. And these states will continue to flourish. Hopefully, it will lead to secession.

          • SW September 10, 2021 at 2:46 pm #

But there are a lot of people moving to those red states and they could easily turn purple. I live in a rural area now in north Texas where nobody wears a mask unless they want to but there’s a battle raging in the big cities about requiring kids to wear them to school. And Beto narrowed the gap for the Senate seat last election and that guy is a fool. What if they come up with a viable candidate?

Threatening to deprive people of their livelihoods will not sit well. That strikes at the heart of people’s happy family lives. It could prove to be the straw that breaks the camel’s back and pushes more people over to our side.

Confidence or not the inbred intellectual dwarfs have finally screwed the pooch. Really how many people have you met that are queer, woke or whatever that are functional? Look at the Sec of Def and Chief of Staff, they are queers and how functional are they?

We live in a world where the vast majority of the Elected Officials and many Academic and Business top administrators are sexual deviants. That is how they were chosen by the Powers That Be, so they could be loyal and readily manipulated to do “Anything”.

Yes Evil walks on the Planet today and we did not sign up to defeat it but there is no other choice if we expect to retain Humanity.

If you have not already been doing so you must Resist every Bullshit order or rule. If the store says you must wear a mask, then tell them I will spend my money elsewhere and you can shove it.

The 80,000,000 Americans who are refusing the jabs and their employees of “100” who also may not want the jabs can simply ask those who don’t want the jabs to switch to Independent Contractor status (hopefully for a short while) and suddenly the business has 40 “employees” and 60 “Independent Contractors”.

Or if Biden and his troops (for this is a war against the people) want to get nasty then those 60 can become “volunteers” and be given a “thank you” gift every Friday for “volunteering”.

We all need to be very smart now. We can beat the fascist cabal (because that is what they are) by out-thinking them.

They may have power for the moment but they aren’t that sharp.

        • Not_GeorgeT September 10, 2021 at 3:30 pm #

The independent contractor idea likely won’t fly due to precedent and past practice. The definition is rather narrow, being made more so all the time.

I think it’s a great idea, don’t misinterpret. I see a lot of pointing to the tax code, which is where to look for the requirements to meet the standard. It isn’t likely to gain traction.

          • Anthea September 10, 2021 at 10:14 pm #

Could be, though, that many people who have always been employees might choose to become true independent contractors, with no affiliation with their former employer. It might be that the crippling of many businesses due to the loss of their best people could open some doors for some of those “best people.”

It is an out and out battle at this point, and currently no one is winning. There is no other option at this point but to stand strongly together where you are, wavering for no one and no thing. Pick a side and stand firm.

Ultimately there will be a “winner” and they will decide the narrative. Let’s hope that is comprised of the anti-vaxxers and those that fought against the big totalitarian government behemoth we are currently up against!

      • Night Owl September 10, 2021 at 12:02 pm #

It is up to the people at this point. No government institution is going to save anyone.

“Capture of democratic structures and institutions

Schwab as publisher of the World Economic Forum’s 2010 “Global Redesign” report postulates that a globalized world is best managed by a coalition of multinational corporations, governments (including through the UN system) and select civil society organizations (CSOs).[29] It argues that governments no longer are “the overwhelmingly dominant actors on the world stage” and that “the time has come for a new stakeholder paradigm of international governance”. The WEF’s vision includes a “public-private” UN, in which certain specialized agencies would operate under joint State and non-State governance systems.[30]

According to the Transnational Institute (TNI), the Forum is hence planning to replace a recognised democratic model with a model where a self-selected group of “stakeholders” make decisions on behalf of the people.[31] The think tank summarises that we are increasingly entering a world where gatherings such as Davos are “a silent global coup d’etat” to capture governance.[32]”

This is what all Western nations are dealing with, as the silent coup has arrived.

17th Amendment…..interesting argument. When the 17th was ratified, those responsible were correcting an oversight in the constitution. For those who need a review: The amendment supersedes Article I, §3, Clauses 1 and 2 of the Constitution, under which senators were elected by state legislatures.

The amendment sought to correct the perceived corruption of the state legislatures by requiring a direct vote for Senators….the idea was that it is better to have more people deciding rather than a few venal state legislators. I think we should trust those who lived through and corrected some shortcomings of the constitution.

Years ago, when I naively thought my participation would alter the outcome of elections, I was at a gun show in Louisville at which Rand Paul was campaigning. His handlers asked for questions. I was in arms-length of him when I asked if he supported the 17th. His answer: I wouldn’t have a chance if it weren’t for the 17th. You must understand that KY has been controlled by a Dem. legislature for most of the last 100 years. I support the 17th and I thank fortune for Rand Paul and Thomas Massie.

          • Mac September 11, 2021 at 12:52 am #

Disagree. Rand’s response was short-sighted and selfish. The Kentucky legislature is now conservative. To be clear, virtually no sitting US Senator would have been elected by his or her own state legislature. The Farmers wanted the states represented by the Senate and the people by the House. The more the vote veers to the mob, whether you’re talking about the 17th or mail in voting, the faster a Republic a crumbles. The second decade of the last century sealed this country’s fate. Liberal democracy doesn’t work in a multicultural society. It’s just a matter of time before the mob finishes looting the Treasury and destroying the currency.

Biden’s only been in office for about 8 months and the country/world is already headed well down the poop chute. Who knows what’s to come in the next few years?!?! Certainly it can get worse, much worse.

His latest edict is clearly going to be the starting pistol that sets off the fiery inferno. And then there is the upcoming talk of a big rally on 9/18. My guess is that this is being pushed so that the insiders can cause a disturbance on purpose, so they can further institute their police state.

      They are getting desperate.

And sending “Joe Biden” to Long Beach, Cali Monday to campaign for Newsom will make the recall a referendum not just on high crime, suckass CRT/Common Core propaganda mills (formerly known as public schools), the out of control homelessness problem and Newsom’s lockdowns and vax mandates; it will become a referendum on Biden.

With Biden coming here it will be about Newsom supporting a president who is mandating a medical treatment to millions of Americans that is NOT safe or effective! It will be about Newsom supporting a president who just ordered the most dumbass military move in history causing the deaths of 13 service members and stranding hundreds of Americans with the Taliban (who I hear are announcing their government and having big celebrations on September 11th “Patriots Day”) cough.

I fear fraud will be at play on Election Day here. If Newsom survives it wipll either mean there was massive fraud in the count or the people of this state are total cowards and morons.

If Newsom stays, I go. Thinking about Ohio but it will be a long, expensive trip. Unless I ditch all my treasured books.

I disagree with you 100%. Every single person that I know that has taken the vax has finally STFU about it. Not a one of them will dare bring it up to me as their narrative has fallen apart. Prior to the demands that the vaxxed mask back up, they wouldn’t shut up about how great it was and how stupid I was.

One by one they have had their narrative fall apart.

Covid 19 is man-made even though they were told that only “racists” believed such things.

Uncle Sam and Fauci paid for GOF research. Ooops.

The vaccine doesn’t allow anything to go back to normal because it doesn’t provide any protection what-so-ever. Gosh.

They can also clearly see that as many as half of their fellow countrymen have decided that they’d rather become outlaws than take the jab. This has sparked some curiosity in them as to why we refuse and some of the info is getting to them and they are beginning to realize that they’ve made a terrible terrible mistake.

It took a while for the Vietnam draft dodgers to get their message into the public sphere but when that message arrived, there was no turning back and the war was lost.

I have had some opposite encounters, Nick. A calm and friendly conversation turns on a dime as the vaxxer instantly rages against me. Honestly, I do nothing more than state my position in just one or two sentences, and they really go off. It’s bizarre and extremely disconcerting, so I don’t pursue any further. And that includes my GP of twenty years!

Furthermore, for every vaxxed person, there’s at least one who’s just dying to put us in our places. They’ll readily join Joe’s army of Karens to shout us down. And if they get violent, do you really think they’ll be punished?

America’s Top 10 Vaccinated States Under Siege by COVID-19 Breakthrough Infections

            TrialSite Staff
            September 8, 2021
America’s Top 10 Vaccinated States Under Siege by COVID-19 Cases, Breakthrough Infections
By August, with the Delta variant COVID-19 surge across the nation, mass media constantly broadcasts that the pandemic has become one of the unvaccinated; but that’s far from the truth based on a recent TrialSite review of new infection data in the most vaccinated states in America. Much of the media messaging in August and into September centers on the most current Delta variant-based surge of infections and deaths as a problem in select states with the lowest vaccination rates—often conservative and lower-income—namely states in the Deep South and a couple of states in the Intermountain West (Wyoming, Idaho, etc.). If only the truth were so straightforward. TrialSite reviewed the top 10 most vaccinated states in the nation and uncovered a very different reality as of Wednesday, September 8, 2021. The expectation going into the data review was that a majority of these highly vaccinated states would have historically low daily rates compared to previous surges in the pandemic. The opposite is true: the most vaccinated states are now all in some version of a surge, although the news wouldn’t cover such a point of view. Similar to the Israel experience, with waning vaccine effectiveness and a dangerous Delta variant, breakthrough infections and even breakthrough hospitalizations become ever more normal. Thus POTUS pushes for the booster much like Israel’s program. But that process must be driven by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and not politicians. Generally, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data indicate that those vaccinated experience less severe disease progression than the unvaccinated, to be sure. But the narrative one hears on nightly national news is not the reality. With boosters around the corner, what’s the strategy if that doesn’t settle the problem ongoing? Already, TrialSite reported Israel is looking into a fourth booster. Such an approach must be reviewed critically.

What follows is a breakdown of the situation and the supporting numbers.

Top 10 Vaccinated States & COVID-19 Pandemic situation
            State Fully Vaccinated Pandemic Situation
Vermont 68.15% Severe—4th surge despite the heaviest vaccinated state; 200 new cases Sep 7.
Connecticut 66.44% Moderate—slight surge starting late July—1,612 new cases on Sep 7/
Massachusetts 66.3% Becoming severe as the state is experiencing a significant surge again. 5,683 new cases were reported on Sep 7.
Maine 66.2% Severe Main is approaching record number of infections.
Rhode Island 65.28% Moderate increase probably due to Delta. 906 new cases reported on Sep 7.
New Jersey 61.96% Moderate increase in cases with 2,086 new cases reported on Sep 6.
Maryland 61.94% Significant increase in cases starting August as 7-day average new cases as of Sep 7 was 1,122 per day.
New York 60.72% State experiencing moderate surge with 994 cases reported on Sep 7.
New Mexico 60.64% Severe spike—as of Sept 7 2,499 new cases reported—nearly hits the record from previous spike.
Washington 60.61% Severe spike—10,901 new cases reported Sep 7 shattering records.
Source: TrialSite News’ review of New York Times & Our World in Data
            New England Cases Skyrocketing
The state with the highest vaccination rates in New England. Those rates are as follows: Vermont (68.15%), Connecticut (66.44%), Massachusetts (66.3%), Maine (66.2%), and Rhode Island (65.28%). One would expect these states to be in a more stabilized place with such high vaccine rates. But the opposite appears to be true due to the combination of waning vaccine effectivity and a stronger variant (Delta). However, the media is not covering this story—more than likely as there are marching orders from government news sources on what to cover.

Vermont is currently experiencing a severe increase in cases. In fact, they reported 272 cases on August 22, shattering previous daily infection records for the state-based New York Times data. The state has never experienced too many deaths, thankfully, but recently reported a handful.

Massachusetts reports a moderate surge with a frightening 5,683 cases on September 7. If this trend increases, the state could hit its previous record number of COVID-19 cases. Deaths are markedly down from the most deadly phase, the initial surge in April and May and again in January. Nonetheless, most recently, 12 deaths were reported in a day. According to recent state Department of Public Health data, 720,175 are infected in the state.

Maine has experienced a severe climb in the reported number of daily cases. In fact, it’s so bad in parts of the state that authorities have ordered remote learning for some schools, according to local media accounts. Deaths are fairly contained in this mostly rural New England state with 1.34 million people.

Finally, Rhode Island also reports moderate increases that could disturb health authorities there if they increase further. Health authorities confirmed the Mu variant of interest has arrived there.

            East Coast/Middle Atlantic
TrialSite reports not one eastern state in the top 10 most vaccinated states shows a decline in infections—they are all on the rise. While New York and New Jersey experience moderate surges, Maryland experiences a severe surge; 1,122 infections were reported just yesterday. Deaths are nowhere near the two previous surges, but too many people continue to die.

            Out West
New Mexico was doing well for a while, with a high vaccination rate, but now reports severe increases in infections. Two thousand four hundred ninety-nine new cases were reported on Tuesday, September 7, a near-record. Deaths aren’t nearly as high as the previous two spikes, reflecting a pattern across all of the most-vaccinated states.

Finally, the State of Washington, one of the origins of the first cases in America, now experiences its worst surge in the pandemic despite high vaccination rates. The state reported 10,901 new cases on September 7 alone, shattering all previous new daily COVID-19 infections. Deaths are also higher here; although not quite as high as two previous surges, it’s far higher than it should be.

On the surge, the local media reported that Washington hospitals now had 251 patients on ventilators representing a 34% increase in one week. Masks are required in public outdoor places again.

This data obviously indicates that the vaccines are not as effective as marketed by the government. Now all data point out that those who are fully vaccinated stay out of hospital rooms more than the unvaccinated—ditto for deaths, but TrialSite just reported a fully vaccinated 35-year-old Oregon woman dying of COVID-19. The point is that even if one is vaccinated:

You are not out of danger.
With Delta, vaccinated individuals often become vectors (note this is especially the case when due to the vaccine, an individual is asymptomatic, hence unknowingly spreading the virus).
Much like Israel, heavily vaccinated states in America are in crisis due to vaccine products that wane by the fourth or fifth month, although one wouldn’t know that from mainstream media.
The vaccines do offer greater assurance of not ending up in a hospital, according to the CDC, but the number of breakthrough hospitalizations and death grow and should be taken seriously.
Health authorities must start recognizing the limitations of 100% vaccine-centric strategies to “eradicate” this pandemic.
A comprehensive, multi-faceted approach including early care and continued rational public health policies based on local conditions on the ground will be key in preparing the nation’s population to live and thrive alongside this pathogen, as it appears it isn’t going away anytime soon.

@NickelthroweR: so far the mRNA vaccines significantly reduce the IFR (rate of death in known cases). To verify this I computed the following time series:

daily_dead(averaged over 3 week window) / daily_new_cases(averaged over 3 week window, lagged by 3 weeks).

The averaging over a 3 week window smooths out random fluctuations while the lagging is based on the assumption that the time from identification as a case to death is about 3 weeks.

You can see the data here:

Chile is an interesting development: it is reporting very few new cases lately but very high deaths in proportion. This is hard to interpret but needs to be watched.

What “they” (the mass media whores) have really been supporting is Fascism in its rawest form.

Sheeple and Resistors alike have bought into a false image of Acting President Biden. The person they see as a doddering old politician who needs help tying his shoelaces is in actuality a criminal mass murderer with the deaths of tens of thousands on his hands. The only proper place for him is in a windowless cell for the rest of his miserable life. In the adjoining cell his chosen running mate can continue servicing the White House Staff and all the prison guards with her ample mouth.Sound amplified for Pedo Joe’s benefit. And on the other side the sound of Hunter’s latest opioid withdrawal running on an endless loop recording.

This morning’s Zero Hedge had a map of all the governor’s states that are planning to sue Pedo Joe over his Fascist death shot mandates. It is an almost perfect map of the new nation I call Heartland. The sooner we move to secure its borders from the Californicators of the West and the mean streets of Fentanyol to the East the better.

No, Fascism is when the government guides and controls the corporations for the good of the nation. What we have is Plutocracy where the banks and the corporations guide and control the government for their own profit and power.

World War Two was about this. Your side, the Capitalist/Communists won.

To make it even simpler, Fascism is just the European word for nationalism. Capitalism/Communism are international by their very nature; Communism from the get go, Capitalism in its final, corporate form.

The good news is, that the fact that these “vaccines” aren’t really vaccines as most people think of them, must be getting out.

The bad news is, the CDC changed the definition of vaccines. Turns out they aren’t supposed to work.

It is far worse than you can possibly imagine. The supply chain is broken and no amount of forced vaccination is going to fix that. Worse still, you only need to lose a few critical people here and there before you no longer have working internet, banking and electricity.

If this is forced on the public then we wont have a working infrastructure in 30 days and that is a fact.

Joe Biden is probably the most compromised president in US history.

If there was a trial Bobbolinski would be a chief witness saying he met with Hunter and Joe about business at some swank L.A. bar. After Biden lied through his veneers and said, “I have NEVER discussed Hunter’s business dealings with him.” Bobbolinski has emails and text messages to back up his testimony. Where is he? Witness protection program?!

And the most stomach-churning parts of the Hunter Biden laptop troves has not been released publicly. Miranda Devine at The New York Post has seen it all. The FBI has seen it all. Her book oughta be a doozy.

And due to all this being covered up with Hunter now selling his “art” in a NYC “gallery”, one must wonder how badly foreign countries actually are blackmailing the “president”?

And we simply wait and wait and wait for the vote audit results and for John Durham and his Grand Jury to surface?

          • Uncle Bob September 12, 2021 at 1:12 am #

An eye for an eye was a limit on how much you could punish someone for a crime. In other words, if someone caused another to lose the sight in his left eye, the perpetrator couldn’t be dismembered or put to death, and his family couldn’t be punished for his actions. Also under Mosaic law, murderers, rapists, blasphemers, and kidnappers could be executed for undercutting the pillars of society, religion and the family.

Dear Jim: I like your emphasis on the “80 Million unvaxed Americans”. Strength is indeed in numbers and this large number gives confidence and strength to each individual who may otherwise think they are all alone. If we live in a town of32,000 we can assume about 8,000 are like-minded and that’s a lot of moral support as a foundation for organizing an effective counter-attack.

The “pin” will really be pulled if the supreme court rules the vaccination dictate constitutional.

    • neurodoc September 10, 2021 at 10:14 am #

JHK: The number of ‘unvaxed’ is more like >100 million plus (many unvaxxed people say they are vaxxed in surveys to avoid issues). The real number could be as high as 150mil.

      • MaryQueen September 10, 2021 at 12:38 pm #

  13. neurodoc September 10, 2021 at 10:11 am #

Patients of mine (neuro-rehab, not general medicine) are starting to get very ill after taking the fake ‘fax,’ typically at the insistence of their primary care docs, and nurse ‘practitioners,’ both groups of which generally don’t know what they don’t know and behave as if they are experts in everything medical. These unfortunate patients did NOT receive any semblance of informed consent, and were simply told during a routine office visit that they needed the’safe and effective’ ‘vax,’ and ‘now roll up your sleeve.’ They complied.

Yesterday alone, I saw three patients who had just left the hospital with pulmonary emboli (blood clots in the lungs) and two who had just been diagnosed with myocarditis (all within 2-3 weeks of the second mRNA shot). A 6th patient developed shingles in the auricular nerve distribution (the left ear) the day after the first shot. Prior to the shots, these patients had no histories of pulmonary or cardiac illness, or shingles.

    The dark winter is coming.

    • rainmaker September 10, 2021 at 10:23 am #

neurodoc – we had a mask wearing customer in our office last month, she told me she had been 2x vaxxed, and had no side effects… Then proceeded to say that her doctor said she had “some spots” on her lungs.

The fake vaccines actually do have a purpose. Every time I hear a delusional rant about all the rampant deaths from Ivermectin overdose i invite one of the “fully vaxed” to take eight consecutive Pfizer jabs, two in each arm and two in each butt cheek and then report back about any adverse effects. After all, that is the right dosage level for a horse.

    • Yohannon September 10, 2021 at 10:55 am #

Oh, maybe that’s why they’re now pushing a shingles vaccine – to protect against the effects of the covid jab. I wonder if it’s a mRNA one too?

        Fauci19 also triggers latent viruses.

    • Mostly Disagreeable September 10, 2021 at 10:58 am #

I thought shingles were latent varicella (chicken pox). After a tetanus booster in 2007 I got shingles (had chickenpox when a kid). Perhaps anything that stimulates the immune system can trigger latent viruses, and these new interventions seem to do exactly that on a grand scale.

      • Ishabaka September 10, 2021 at 2:59 pm #

Shingles is latent varicella. Anything that stresses the body can bring on an attack of shingles, but most cases occur at random, for no identifiable reason. When you’re giving a vaccine to 100,000,000 people some are going to develop shingles shortly after vaccination based on randomness alone – it’s a fairly common condition.

    • benr September 10, 2021 at 11:11 am #

Saw my primary practicing Doc and he was pushing the vax very hard.
I asked him some key questions as to why people could still get the crud after the vax and he had the standard lie.
You can get it buts its a lot less damaging.
I told him I was pretty sure I already got the crud and would wait a bit.
He popped off oh then just get the booster.
I suggested if they got the booster vial and three syringes and I could watch the nurse and doctor get the booster first I would then get the booster.
The nurse flat out refused and the doctor said he already had his booster and did not need another.
I then asked for the tetanus, whooping cough and diphtheria vaccine hoping they would not just inject me with the booster crude.
He seemed shocked as this was the first vaccine I have actually taken in the fifteen years I have had him as my Doctor.
I explained not anti vaccine just don’t believe in flu shots or anything smacking of flu vaccines.

An Ophthalmologist here says they have lots of cases of vision problems hours after getting the mRNA injection. “We don’t know why but in most cases the problems go away in a few days without treatment.” I know 2 people who have odd neurological problems- muscle spasms and tingling sensations after the injections.

Neurodoc, I always find your posts interesting.

While we are all unknowns here, you seem plausible, so here is my question for you, or any of the commentariat:

In addition to you, I’ve heard of blood clots in particular, and inflammation in general, as being nasty side effects of the vaccine.

Inflammation is associated with various disorders, as I understand (my medical knowledge is generally inadequate….)

Is there a link between inflammation and aneurysms?

I love the multiple horror genre references. It certainly seems like a possession is taking place, though that has seemingly gone on since humans had begun ‘consuming’ information, never wondering about the producer of said information. Americans need to exorcise and exercise, and take some fucking supplements.

In the context of the Matrix, both the GOP and Biden/Dems are bad. But Biden and the Dems are much worst. Look for more outlandish “doubling down” on stupidity, like his edict that all Federal workers must be vaccinated. (BTW, I wonder what the fine print says. How absolute is his directive?)

On the other side, I’m listening to 101.5 FM in Detroit, some dude named Hugh Hewitt, a “conservative”, says “…..while I support the vaccine, and I urge everyone to get it, I’m troubled by constitutional overreach…..” blah, blah.

In this space, it seems many people can think. But out here in the world, I’m not so sure. The thinkers demonstrate against mandates. They are ordinary, but intelligent enough seek REAL answers, and they go to the protests. But a few hundred here and there in an area of millions is not that much.

This Hewitt guy reaches thousands. Instead of calling out the greatest government crime of my lifetime, which is to push a vaccine that by all previous standards is dangerous, while quietly denying Americans early treatment like ivermectin, hydroxychlorquil, etc, so they can deteriorate and THEN wind up in expensive ICUs to die, this jack-a$$ who purports to stand for liberty propagates the BIG lie!

Tomorrow, we will be bombarded with 20th Anniversary. Yes, 9//11 was tragic. If you buy into the view that 19 radicals, 15 of them Saudis, committed the diabolically brilliant crime (because look at how much it has hurt the USA….wasted money on wars, and civil liberties compromised–simply brilliant!), you can trace the root cause to American meddling in the Middle East. No one in the MSM asks questions—just the occasional “discontented”, like one Michael Scheuer, a CIA analyst. CIA types like him, who want to “get things done” and are honest in their sordid business are marginalized, or like John Kyriakou, go to jail.

On the other hand, people like General Petraeus (pronounced Betray-us), who preside over the debacle with great fanfare and solemnity at the same time, divulge state secrets to their girlfriend on the side and not only is their no sanction (I would have been in jail), but they get cushy board seats in Wall St.

Compared to 9/11 though, the denial of simple, basic medical care which would have saved tens of thousands (in my opinion) lives, because the FDA “has not authorized ivermectin for COVID-19”, while the government pushes a toxic vaccine, whose long-term effects we really do not know (but perhaps those in the know do), the crime of COVID-19 is vastly, vastly more criminal.

If you are looking for a good book, I just started Peter J Hotez’s book “Preventing the Next Pandemic.” Only a couple chapters in, but interesting and a fast read.

Hotel is vilified by anti vaxxes as he also wrote “Vaccines Did Not Cause Rachel’s Autism”, Rachel being his daughter. Will read that book next most likely.

I am still waiting for Trump to admit he was given Ivermectin at Walter Reed in October 2020.

That would be a game changer.

But instead he is pushing the vax (and getting booed) and now he is saying he won’t get the booster shot because he is “feeling great!”. (Compromised??)

He’s feeling great because he survived Covid and has natural, durable and probably life-long immunity.

The US is locked in a censorship blackout regarding early treatment protocols while the head of Japan’s Medical Association is advising Ivermectin for early Covid treatment.

It is only a matter of time before clear-thinking Americans wake up.

            You are kidding, Abby

Trump admitting that he took Ivermectin and was back on the campaign trail two days later wouldn’t even make the 6th page of the East Podunk News on a news day where there were no murders to report.

“News is what we say it is, Citizen”

Trump will be the next candidate from the Repugnant Party for the simple reason that people choose politicians who’s names they have heard the most times. The only thing that Trump has to offer America is a chance to repair his broken ego. I doubt if there are enough good software programmers in his wing of his party to arrange an electoral fraud like the Dems did so he could win.

We’re already seeing some of the longer term side effects of the vaccine with this new surge of disease. They’re calling it a variant, but there’s no diagnostic test for that. It will only get worse come winter, if Luc Montagnier is correct and people are dropping like flies. That is why the desperate push to get as many shots in arms as possible before it becomes painfully obvious to everybody that it’s lethal. You may have noticed that there is no push to vaccinate illegal immigrants en mass.

I expect they will be going into schools and injecting kids without parental permission, if they aren’t already. As far as Joe Biden pulling the pin, there is really no way the United States survives supply chain collapse, which is coming, on top of attempts to control a disease of pandemic proportions, so they might as well bet the ranch now.

I think I read that their union has already indicated opposition to it.

Besides, the postal workers can’t get too angry at the government, during a mail-in recall vote.

Treating one segment of the federal workforce as special is also sure to divide the workforce and get them resenting each other.

      EVEn better for TPTB.

Oh, I was an officer in the United States Army and Uncle Sugar spent a lot of time, effort and money to make sure I knew every single trick in the book. I know that the key to winning any fight is a willingness to burn your bridges; a willingness to roll around in the mud and a willingness to call artillery on your own position. Most people have not had the benefits of such an experience and have not spent any time in the professional military class.

With that in mind I 100% know that the first thing to do should this go kinetic is to take out the transformers. They are soft targets that can easily be put out of commission and can no longer be easily replaced. Doing this would cause pure pandemonium in the blue cities such that even our military couldn’t contain it. Attempting to keep the 10 million residents of LA county from eating each other would make Vietnam look like a pleasant Sunday drive home from church.

Finally, the one reason that we haven’t yet nuked Russia is that we know they’ll nuke us in return. Well, what is being said here is recorded and studied (by A.I.) and if the PTB know that we’ll go right for the infrastructure that provides for THEM then they may think twice about angering us further. After all, they know their base is surrounded.

        • erik September 10, 2021 at 12:36 pm #

Totally on target about transformers. Semi armor piercing ammunition like old Chinese steel jacketed 7.62X39 will penetrate the casings of transformers with devastating results, as well as the numerous capacitors (the square edged rectangular boxes on poles.). Power companies keep transformers on hand for routine failure related replacements, but not too many. Many of the substations with the really high voltage first stage step-down transformers are located outside of towns where they take the 600KV and up high tower lines. Pretty easy to get close to them and if you can get your hands on a Barratt with armor piercing ammo, you can do it from a mile away.

        • Wizard of the Saddle September 11, 2021 at 1:22 am #

Nickelthrower: You are correct about the transformers. Of course, the unintended side effect would be to launch the golden hordes out of the unsustainable cities. They would flee like a cloud of locusts and would kill, burn, rape, loot, and destroy the suburbs and then progress towards small town America.

So, arguably, it’s only a good strategy to do this once our folks have been properly organized into militia organizations led, preferably, by ex-military officers and NCO’s who know their business and who can give the armed civilians the benefit of their knowledge, training, and experience.

In this way, good folks will be better prepared to “repel boarders” so to speak, when the Golden Horde arrives at the city limits of their smaller communities.

        • SpeedyBB September 11, 2021 at 10:52 am #

NickelthroweR (nice moniker), you remind me of having read a couple of years back of a Pentagon study whose theme was a “winnable nuclear war”. I could barely believe my eyes.

Of course it may just have been a case of “idle hands…”, of keeping the kiddies busy in the five-sided house so they can’t go stir up trouble somewhere else.

“Winnable nuclear war” goes right into the oxymoron collection.

Whenever I have a power failure at my house, I check my WiFi to see if I can still get to the internet. Also check my smartphone. If all those ever go out, I have multiple battery powered AM & FM radios to see if stations are still on the air. If those radios are either dead or there’s nothing on the air I can hear, I have a 2M amateur XCVR to see if any local hams are active. If all that is dead, I will start to get the impression it is TEOTWAWKI.

Take a drive out to Grand Coulee Dam. Drive down a gravel road to a prime view point. There in all its magnificence is not only the Dam, but a transformer farm with most of the generators in the dam hooked to them— powering the entire Pacific Northwest.. Surrounded by a chain link fence.

Evidently blog chatter from wanna-be agent provocateurs is not really a credible threat. Or if it is, Homeland Security will wake up and at least do something having to do with actual Homeland Security.

      • Billy Hill September 10, 2021 at 1:00 pm #

It’s amazing how vulnerable US electrical power systems are to kinetic threats. The great concern these days is with cyber attacks, and maybe in distant second place geomagnetic induced currents.

Some years back in California perpetrators cut fiber comms and proceeded to shoot at autotransformers in a large switching station. They clearly knew a lot. The industry reacted with all manner of protective schemes intended to stop high-power rifle fire. I was charged at the time with selling some of this over-priced crap. The scenario I was not supposed to think about was an explosive-laden drone flying over the ballistic barrier.

More security theater, like the TSA, like masks. Like a lot of what passes for serious policy your average 10 year old could defeat.

        • Hereward the Woke September 11, 2021 at 12:36 pm #

Strange, Billy. Now you mention cyber attacks, the old brain tells me that the WEF “wargamed” a cyber attack back in July…

        • tresho September 11, 2021 at 6:15 pm #

“The industry reacted with all manner of protective schemes intended to stop high-power rifle fire. ” You may be referring to the Metcalf sniper attack of 2013. I have followed that ever since it first got into the news. Since then I noticed that I still able to see these vulnerable transformers from a fair distance, most anywhere in the USA I go. Simply putting up opaque barriers to shield the transformers from outside gaze was apparently not one of the “protective schemes” used after 2013.

        • tresho September 11, 2021 at 6:19 pm #

“The scenario I was not supposed to think about was an explosive-laden drone flying over the ballistic barrier.” Did anyone think about a gaggle of helium filled Mylar balloons bundled loosely together with metal wires? Regular bundles of Mylar balloons without metal wires (IIRC) have taken out power transmission lines before. Google “Mylar balloons power lines”

          • Billy Hill September 12, 2021 at 7:41 am #

The ballistic walls were expensive and frankly, difficult to engineer into the substation space. Autotransformers and large power transformers need to be moved out and replaced sooner or later (hopefully much later, like 30-40 years). They are tall as well as very heavy, and to construct a wall requiring a foundation is not as simple as just digging and pouring concrete when the entire structure might have to be moved quickly under emergency circumstances. So “the fix” was not uniformly applied. In my own neck of the woods one power station switchyard was protected by a maze of steel barriers allowing access to the breakers, switches, and instrument transformers in the yard. The generator step-up transformers are far away on the campus near the generators themselves of course for obvious electrical and economic reasons. These GSUs and the isophase interconnect with the generators are the most precious power asset out in plain sight. Not replaceable quickly.

“Regular bundles of Mylar balloons without metal wires (IIRC) have taken out power transmission lines before. Google “Mylar balloons power lines” ”

And if the protective relaying is working properly despite the fact that the balloons will initiate a phase-to-phase fault the circuit breakers at the ends of the line will open until the fault clears. The system is well-equipped to handle such as this. I thought New Orleans was in for a long power outage after viewing the crumpled lattice transmission towers. Those are engineered for the specific site (geotechnical, mechanical, etc) and not replaceable quickly. Turns out most of Nola is back on so I have heard.

Cyber attack against the system protective relaying is a valid concern. Remove the protection, initiate a fault, and start burning the system down. That would be a very bad day.

It is unclear to me that the tactic of destroying infrastructure would benefit those wishing to re-do the political system. Something about cutting off your nose to spite your face…
I think Ghandi may have had a better approach, acknowledging that his context was hugely different than the divided USA.

That is a concern. I seem to recall that 3 or 4 power transmission lines to the Brown’s Ferry nuclear power plant here in northwest Alabama were taken down by tornados in 2011. Had they lost the 4th transmission line it would jphave been a real ugly day in the Yellowhammer State.

When I was visiting my brother-in-law in the Texas Hill Country a few years back, I did a lot of jogging along the highway. He lived just below Buchanan Dam, and when I approached the top of the dam from a public road, the uniforms poured out of a building, challenging my presence.

You’d think I was trying to sneak into a nuclear weapons bunker or ICBM silo.

I didn’t try to argue my way into an optimal place for a nice landscape photo; I actually felt sorry for the sorry lot of paunchy, fearful functionaries. They’d likely be unemployable in the real world; you can imagine them hanging onto that cushy “Guard the dam” job at all costs.

By the way, no transformers or anything else of target value at Buchanan Dam. And a skinny bald-headed guy in running shorts and sneakers wasn’t going to break it either..

“Evidently blog chatter from wanna-be agent provocateurs is not really a credible threat.” Years ago I had a long talk on this matter with a guy in my amateur radio club. He is/was an electrician for both commercial & residential structures and had experience with power networks going back to military bases during Viet Nam. He told me one hairy story about a job he needed to do at one of the largest office buildings down town. He needed to access a particular service panel in the building, and was going down internal corridors with his document stack looking for it. He found one unlocked and unlabeled panel with a host of internet-type connections, both wired & fiber. This might have been the one he needed to work on, but without identifying markings, he didn’t want to touch it. He found his counterpart who covered this building and he was told to leave that panel alone, it was a major internet connection point for the entire NE USA to the rest of North America. Unmarked, unlocked, and unsecured.
To cut this short, simply Google “Metcalf sniper attack”, which remains unsolved. If you can see a transformer, it is thereby vulnerable to an attack with easily available tools.

        • Billy Hill September 12, 2021 at 8:01 am #

But not all transformers are “equal”. Yes, large autotransformers in switching stations are very valuable, in rank just below GSU’s.( I think that was the case at Metcalf. These are still manufactured domestically.)

The ranking is determined by how many meters downstream the device are affected.

Storm restoration is based on this general principle, as well as critical services such as hospital, police, fire. Hint: if your house is on the same circuit as a fire station or hospital you are guaranteed to be restored first.

Following the storms of 04-05 in Florida certain gasoline stations and food stores installed generator back-up. This presupposes general availability of diesel. Hospitals already had back-up.

Nuclear power stations are reliant on the grid to an extent but they too employ generator back up with fuel storage. Gotta keep those swimming pools with spent fuel rods circulating. In a catastrophic scenario (no roads, no fuel) yes indeed we are up shit creek without a paddle.

My neighbor is a raging lib, up to and including homage to Climate Change. That is, until the power goes out. At which point he is firing up a noisy gasoline-powered generator.

The newsreaders demeanor and delivery has become more stilted and serious with an earnestness that borders on farce. The all seem to be convinced of their intelligence and virtue.

The overriding message I get from watching the news is — “Listen to US!!! We have the inside story!” And most importantly, “we tell you everything you need to know so do not think for yourself.”

On Inauguration Day last year I had it tuned to ABC and the newsreader said over and over as the Trumps were leaving — “this feels like an exorcism” . There was no moderating commentary from the other two mediocrities sharing the desk.

    • MrMangoOnMyShoulder September 11, 2021 at 2:07 pm #

      On Inauguration Day last year…

SW – it does feel like last year, doesn’t it? But it’s only been eight months, of course.

Eight months of Biden = 1 1/2 years of pretty much anybody else, it appears.

Part of the problem is that people have caught on to the lies of the Gov’t and I have a problem with just 80 million who refuse to be vaccinated. I believe that number is much, much higher.

People have seen this playbook before from GW Bush saying they hate us for our freedoms. Colin Powell holding up a bag of supposed laundry detergent as proof Saddam Hussein had WMD’s.

Syrian leader Assad is killing his own people, to Hillary Clinton wanting to off Muammar Gaddafi. The list goes on as the American Public have been lied to over the years by their Gov’t.

What’s new this time is that the Gov’t is doing to them what it has done to other leaders and Nations. They have awaken to the fact that it has been lied to. They see something really shady when any dissenting thought gets you cancelled. Now they see the Gov’t forcing people to do something against their will when evidence shows these questionable experimental drugs can harm or kill you. They also have taken note that in the past if 50 people were harmed or killed by a new drug, it would have been pulled for safety reasons.

    • Yohannon September 10, 2021 at 11:01 am #

The 80 million are just those who will be effected by the new mandate – such as people who work in companies of 100 people or more.

Yes! The number is much larger.

The people who wholeheartedly believed their lies about Libya, Trump was a Russian asset and Fauci is America’s Doctor have already been vaccinated and are screaming the loudest at the “hesitant.”

Now the gloves are off since cash, donuts and trying to convince the unvaccinated they’re killing other people hasn’t worked.

    • Uncle Bob September 12, 2021 at 7:45 am #

I generally agree with you that a lot of people are on to the game. However, a lot of others, either through brainwashing, stupidity, or arrogance, believe in their righteousness for taking the shot, and believe anyone who doesn’t conform to the will of Biden and his controllers needs to be punished by any means necessary.

Where I disagree is the part about Iraq’s WMD’s. We know he had them because we (the US) supplied them to him, which fact Bush and Powell soft-pedaled. Remember, Iraq was our proxy against the Iranian mullahs after Carter bungled the whole Shah-vs.-Khomeini thing, including the hostages; before that Iran was our proxy against the Soviet-backed Iraq. We also know the Russians helped truck the WMD stockpile into Syria just before the more recent invasion of Iraq. Bush didn’t pursue it because he stupidly thought Putin would help America stop terrorists on our terms if he didn’t tell everyone what had happened. Instead, Putin was Putin and quickly became Little Assad’s best buddy, while Bush was beaten into the dust by the hyper-partisan “news” media for not finding what was safely in Syria. I think, too, that Bush expected American forces to find some anthrax or other bios weapons that had been left behind. But let’s face it, the Gore and Kerry supporters would’ve clobbered him even if Americans and Brits had found the fully-intact infrastructure for an Iraqi Manhattan Project along the banks of the Tigris.

Or watching our pathetic government battle a foreign “enemy” for 20 years only to turn on a dime one day and not only hand over billions of dollars of serious weaponry to them, but to embrace them as friends and brothers. And all that while conspicuously assaulting the American public in a less than covert campaign to rob us all of the mere pop guns we posses by comparison.

The saddest part for me is the complacency of the Herd That Has No Immunity and that will never have any immunity from the pandemic of bullshit that has been showered upon us all since they whacked Jack. Anything goes and nothing really matters – we owe you for that one Jim, thank you.

Would love to see something seriously ballsy from the guy – maybe propose a rebellion, or at least lead a pushback – because the sword is mightier than the pen, and don’t you ever believe otherwise. But instead – JHK instead just posts five or six paragraphs of rhetoric and that’s that – and nothing changes, imagine that. Interesting. Seems like The Weinsteins, Bari Weiss, Joe Rogan, etc aka the “Intellectual Dark Web” often smell of controlled opposition.

Matt Taibbi’s writing suffers lately as he is uncomfortable with true rebellion against the status quo. Had a recent very lame article featured on ZH that was just a slog. Terrible.

Glenn G. is great with a turn of phrase and is wonderful at taking someone on but he has the taint of the whole Snowden thing.

Weiss might “dare” to write about big pharma however others did that before her and frankly whenever I hear her name I think of the true rebel writer with a “W” in her last name: Whitney Webb. She tied the virus to Ft Detrick while Weiss was still at the NY Times writing about who knows what.

Ron “Heavy D” DeSantis (R), Governor of Florida.

observex — Yes, it was really bad.

According to Johns Hopkins University 40 million have been infected and 654,000 have died from complications due to covid (they carefully didn’t say only covid) so that would make the death rate 0.016 of those infected. And every study has shown it’s the elderly and sick who die. But this is never put into perspective on the news and last night hit a new low.

      Here’s what Mike Pence said:

“I mean, to have the president of the United States say that he has been patient but his patience is wearing thin — that’s not how the American people expect to be spoken to by our elected leaders,” Pence said.

At least Nixon actually gave a damn about the country’s welfare. Can’t say I see any evidence whatsoever that Biden gives a rat fuck about anyone or anything other than himself and his dope fiend kid.

The tell on corporate media collusion is always when they all have the same headline the next day without having done any investigation first, such as “Trump Questions Vote Count Without Foundation.”

Sure enough, they all trumpeted “Unfounded Conspiracy Theory” in lockstep from Day One of the pandemic, even though the fresh market bat eating hypothesis was risibly implausible from the start.

The other tell is when the liberal ecosystem selects a Hero-Who-Cannot-Be-Questioned to represent Truth.

Remember General Patraeus, to sell us The Surge in Afghanistan? Patraeus, who turned out to be a not very trustworthy human being, to sell us a bogus narrative about completing a virtuous mission in Afghanistan.

How about Robert Mueller, of unquestionable competence and integrity, to prove that Russiagate wasn’t a politically motivated hoax? Mueller who, under testimony, either knew nothing about the investigation he had supposedly overseen or lied in professing categorical ignorance.

This time it was Dr. Fauci, the most virtuous physician who ever lived – who funded gain of function research right there in Wuhan against Obama’s orders. If, indeed, Fauci enabled the science experiment that has killed hundreds of thousands of people, how is he not criminally responsible?

Note, also, how there is no national learning curve. The truth about the last national hero selected to lie to us never engenders skepticism the next time.

And there will be a Next Time.

I often wonder why we don’t have a general strike like the French do. Those folks have some backbone. I would say from the holes in the supermarket shelves that either they don’t have the stock or no one to put out the stock. Maybe there is a strike, but it is subtle. Unfortunately, I am retired so I can’t quit my job. I’ve had a lot of calls to work “part-time”. NO. More income is more taxes. I’ll pass.

    • Mostly Disagreeable September 10, 2021 at 11:20 am #

Well, calling for millions to be fired, then watching them be fired, would be one way to obscure a general strike. Kind of like claiming success by passing minimum wage hikes when the upward wage trend is obvious. They just accelerate the trend. In one instance to claim magical powers in the other to obscure the decline of magical powers.

Its the lack of food that drives unrest.
Americas shelves go bare shit will get serious really fast.

    • Anthea September 11, 2021 at 10:15 am #

I don’t really understand how a general strike would be a helpful strategy. As I understand it, one of the objectives of the covid restrictions was to undercut the national economy–slow the velocity of money–in order to dilute the currency-debasement effect of full-bore money printing.

I’m having trouble seeing how a general strike would hurt the PTB. They really don’t need us for anything. Which types of employment are essential to the machinery of state? Seems to me that much of the employment in the US is of negative marginal utility in the first place. Certainly almost all government employment.

Now, if food supplies (and other necessities) were cut off by means of a truckers’ strike, the cities would burn–probably along with parts of the surrounding suburbs. Seems to me that the PTB are okay with that. Many of the major cities are already essentially ungovernable.

I don’t think the PTB care whether there is food (for us) in the grocery stores. We already know that they don’t care whether we have a functional health care system or educational system, or whether we can get car parts or electronics parts.

They don’t need the taxes we pay, because they don’t need our money. They can print money to the moon without any need for it to be connected with productivity. While this will inevitably lead to currency collapse, they have already hedged against that by using the funny money to buy assets.

      Somebody help me out here.

      • tresho September 11, 2021 at 6:29 pm #

I like to fantasize that a truckers strike blocking any deliveries to the greater DC area lasting a couple of weeks would really make a point. There could also be clusters of disabled semis suddenly blocking key highway ramps in that area to keep all those fed workers from showing up. This wouldn’t be a “general strike”, just a very focused one that would get into the headlines.

The same thing which preceded every stock market crash in the past is happening now to American society. Just as all the gullible were repeatedly sucked in with promises of easy gains, fabulous riches, so are they again falling for the same propaganda brought to them by the same coterie of elitist grifters. This time it’s “get vaccinated and you’ll be safe, etc..” or “Get on board, you don’t wanna be on the outside looking in!” “If you don’t get vaccinated then we’ll….”

Me personally? Due to my own ignorance and greed I got burned in the market in the Dot Com bubble of ’99 But, fool me once – shame on you. Fool me twice – shame on me.

The tide WILL turn. It will be extremely ugly but ask yourself this. If you were on a football team playing in the Super Bowl and your team was down by one goal in the fourth quarter with, say, 7 seconds left on the play clock would you give up just because you were still midfield on 4th down? If you were a fan of that team, how would you feel if your team didn’t at least try a Hail Mary? What if your team was actually right on the goal line? Wouldn’t you boo your team if instead of trying SOME kind of play they instead intentionally grounded the ball? What would you do? If you were a team member you would know that, kind like being in the mafia, you are all in. You are committed, like it or not. No crying, no buckling at the knees permitted because sometimes victory only comes at the 11th hour. So ya gotta play the game ALL THE WAY!

Well that’s where we are folks except, of course, it’s not a game. The stakes are MUCH higher. Fortunately we are not on the clock and as long as WE keep up the pressure the levee WILL break! In terms of the zeitgeist shifting, we’re almost there! So quit the doom and gloom and GRAB YOUR BALLS!

    • D from OR September 10, 2021 at 11:36 am #

Precisely what is going on. If you don’t tie the lack of a real economy into the machinations of the “Joe Biden” then you are missing the story. Back in the Autumn of 2019 the economy was crashing so cue “deadly virus” for distraction while they tried to figure out how to float the sinking ship. Seems like totalitarianism was the answer no matter the optics. Nothing more and nothing less.

Not about a virus. Always about money. People who want complexity can find it however it really is simply about the system crashing and everyone losing.

      • Beryl of Oyl September 10, 2021 at 11:58 am #

It was about money, and some of that money was the illicit income streams of far too many with connections to government, and political outsider Donald J. Trump was threatening those streams, so he had to go.

His Achilles Heel was always germs and disease, and we know he would be greatly affected by a threat to the lives of millions of Americans, because unlike most of the higher-ups in our government, he doesn’t hate us.

      • SouthernYankee September 10, 2021 at 12:05 pm #

I agree D from OR. Although the virus is a real thing, the extent to which they are pressing the issue is proportional to the chaos which they know will ensue once the economy crashes this time. Hence the need for massive control measures.

        • Anthea September 11, 2021 at 11:24 am #

I don’t think they care if the economy crashes.

Ultimately, the top-level puppet masters are the banks. National governments and corporations are just their toadies. How do banks make their money? By creating money out of thin air and loaning it at interest.

The simplified version of this is found in “The Creature from Jekyll Island” in Marco Polo’s description of money printing in China in the 15th or 16th Century (I forget which). The rulers got together and printed paper money, and the peasants had to accept it in exchange for goods and services. Now, what would I do in a case like that? (Let us try to imagine that we are not very nice people.) What would be my goals? I already have unimaginable wealth. I can bestow unimaginable wealth on all my toadies.

Trying to fathom the goals of such people (beyond immense wealth) is, I’m afraid, a little above my pay grade. Do they want to crash the world’s economies and buy up all the assets for pennies? The Bibilical story of how, during the famine, Joseph advised Pharoah to distribute grain to the people in exchange for ownership of their land comes to mind. And maybe there are just too danged many people, and they threaten your position due to numbers alone, are not productive of wealth (for you), and their presence is an obstacle to exploiting valuable assets (e.g., mineral weath in Afghanistan or Africa). While you may not care about amassing still more wealth, you have competing regimes. If they get control of the assets, they will use them to topple you.

IMHO, the PTB’s drive for ever more power and wealth is explained by the last two sentences above. In a sense, we “little people” are not even in the game; it is a conflict among many players at stratospherically high levels.

          • Hereward the Woke September 11, 2021 at 1:19 pm #

Anthea: as always, their motives are varied. Greed and lust for power play a massive part. Most of these people are psychopaths and deeply screwed up people, but their motives may not all be the same. Soros seems to hate everyone and wants to cause maximum chaos before he goes to Hell. Gates has a plan and a fixation, and may genuinely believe he is “saving” humanity. The others are the usual mix of megalomaniacs and grifters. In a sense, it doesn’t matter what their motives are: the end results will be same. Unless we push back.

Nearly 60, he’s too old to make his own decisions?

I notice that they mentioned that Oscar De La Hoya “tested positive” for COVID. He did more than test positive since he ended up in the hospital being treated.

So much for the vaccine getting you a milder case.

some black NYT opinion writer recently bemoaned the fact that Hispanics in the US are increasingly checking the “White” box demographically & voting for right wing populists similar to Trump.

Any socio-political thinker of an IQ higher than 75 could have understood that decades ago.

How long do you think the democrat party could hide its Spanish language speeches, with titles like “Faith, Work & Family” (given by Tim Kaine to a Mexican crowd) from the rest of the Marxist, left wing of the democrats?

The democrats have a completely untenable coalition, and its showing. Hispanics, many who have families & small businesses, are given this choice by the Left : Buy into slave/victimhood, or be a “white supremacist”. I don’t think that a very religious group of people aren’t interested in the homosexual, pro-abortion agenda of the Left, either.

Apparently, most Hispanics wanna be on the winning side of history (and remember their Conquistador blood) and aren’t kneeling as slaves.

Last summer before I left CA, I got a kick out of the guys from Central and South America who played soccer there even though it was banned (and enjoyed watching their games – they were so good!).

They didn’t care & ignored the signs. When the ranger would show up and kick them off the field, they’d laugh, and wish her well, then come back a couple of hours later. They also brought their cerveza in coolers which wasn’t allowed either. Not one bitter word for the powers that be, or any argument, just complete disregard for their rules. None of them wore masked or ‘social distanced’. They went on with life as if nothing had changed.

It was fun to watch the masked Karens come by and glare at them, too.

      • Islander September 10, 2021 at 6:43 pm #

They are probably used to laughing at those trying to push them around—as long as the latter are not carrying AK47s or something. Where they come from the pushing is probably more life-threatening than here.

Yeah Pete that’s why I’m not to worried about Whites slipping into minority status in the USA. I’ve seen Latin Americans within 2 generations assimilate into mainstream America, my Cuban neighbor for example, with the Trump banner in her front yard, or the beautiful daughter of a local Ecuadorian couple who run the local diner, who never learned to speak Spanish, and recently graduated from State U.

The morning shows in particular have people obviously staring at a monitor that they read aloud like a fifth grader, slowly and pretentiously–and those are just the “experts.” In fairness, I did see an interview by a twenty year veteran at the flood scene in Bridgeton, PA that was excellent.

The vaccine debate is interesting. If the vaccines actually prevented infection, then the government would have the inherent right to require injection for health and safety reasons. The vaccines do not, but they do overwhelmingly protect against serious illness and death, and so facilitate public interaction and economic transactions. Does the government still have the inherent right to require injection with a new technology, with very infrequent significant side effects, and with uncertain future effects? Would it really be better social policy to let the disease do a slow burn through the unvaxed population, taking its toll and leaving us a stronger population overall? How many medical personnel and other “essential workers” would decide to wait out that slow burn at home? How many factories and other industrial links closed due to illness? (Have you tried to buy bicycle parts lately?)

The more interesting issue is the danger of more lethal variants. The simple argument is that the viruses mutate often because RNA does not have the self-correcting mechanisms of DNA. The more people with Covid, the more viruses, the more variants, the more likelihood of a more lethal and/or transmissible variant–at which point we can all lock the doors and live off our stored food.
One counter argument is that if the vaccine does not prevent infection, it will have no effect on mutation, other than keeping alive those relative few who might have died from a weaker variant. Thus, by keeping society going, vaccines will encourage more infection and more variants.
Another counter argument, coming from places like Scripps, is that the vaccines actually facilitate the creation of more lethal variants by biochemical mechanisms once the vaccine product attaches to cells. Initially, this argument is scary. The truth is, who knows? I confess that, at this point, I find it comfortable to be dismissive and enjoy my time off the ICU.

    • michael September 10, 2021 at 3:37 pm #

Two countries with past massive waves of infection are the Czech Republic and Chile. Both currently report very low numbers of new cases.
This argues for a burn through unvaccinated populations.

    • Hereward the Woke September 11, 2021 at 1:32 pm #

Hi, Joshua. Great questions. However, you write that “The truth is, who knows?” On the contrary, I think the people behind this know exactly what the truth is about the jab and what will happen. I’m no expert, but from what I’ve read, this is all basic virology and utterly predictable. Respiratory viruses are nearly impossible to neutralize with vaccines because they mutate much faster than other viruses (e.g. smallpox, rinderpest). So, the claim that the “vaccine” will stop the virus was always a lie. In addition, vaccines are supposed to be prophylactic: you get them BEFORE the virus season arrives. By vaccinating against China flu at the height of the pandemic, you are, as you rightly say, going to push the virus into mutating even more quickly in order to survive. This is what is happening now: the “vaccine” is creating the delta and other variants, and the vaxxed are the spreaders. Finally, and most importantly, this is not a vaccine; it’s an experimental gene therapy and those who take it are lab rats. Because it never went through its Phase 3 testing, it was impossible to predict what is now happening: spike proteins are not just attacking the virus; they are spreading throughout the body, causing blood clots and stacking up in organs. And then there is ADE: the virus is latching onto antibodies instead of the other way round, and is using them as its new site. This is deeply worrying. So, as I said at the beginning, I think the evil people behind all this knew exactly how things will pan out. People who fell for the lies can look forward to endless “boosters” will all the side effects and problems involved.

The City of Richmond removed the Robert E. Lee statue after a long court fight. The monument to A.P. Hill remains because it is over his “remains”. Apparently, it is more troublesome to remove a grave. I suggest the Civil War buffs bypass Richmond. If the citizens don’t care about understanding their history, why should anyone else? Rather than worrying about a statue, perhaps the citizens of Richmond could work on stopping their young men from shooting each other.
The only place I visit in the city is the hospital. If a satellite office exists that can solve my problem, then I go there even if it is not as convenient. Wonder if the Richmond businessmen consider why their business stinks. I could tell them.

“The Virus” is not killing people, the “LACK OF AN EARLY IN-HOME TREATMENT” is responsible for the vast majority of deaths and hospitalizations.

IVM was approved for use in humans in 1989 and has been used widely to treat parasites, rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus with minimal side effects in all cases. IVM is also well known for it’s antiviral properties and has now been proven to effectively to treat “The Virus” early on and in-home. It is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines.

Think about the insanity….. our medical profession is telling patients to just stay home and when your lips turn blue and you are hacking up hairballs, then come to the hospital for some treatment and medication, until then, you are on your own.

Americans will look back on this Orwellian moment in history and wonder why we were so gullible…..

With his signature blend of scientific acumen, candor and integrity, Dr. Anthony Fauci became America’s most unlikely cultural icon during COVID-19. A world-renowned infectious disease specialist and the longest-serving public health leader in Washington, D.C., he has valiantly overseen the U.S. response to 50 years’ worth of epidemics, including HIV/AIDS, SARS and Ebola. On the eve of the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, and on the subject of trusting “experts” from the government, I present this bit of forgotten history:

World Trade Center Rescue Workers Believed EPA, Ended Up Sick

“In a series of public statements issued after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) assured the people of New York that the air around ground zero was safe to breathe. Unfortunately, the agency lacked authoritative information on which to base these claims, and internal agency data conflicting with this reassuring public posture were ignored. The EPA’s press releases and public statements after 9/11 were vetted by then-National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice, suggesting that the White House placed politics over science when communicating about ground zero’s air quality. Tragically, the impact of this public deception continues to be felt by thousands of rescue workers now plagued by chronic and crippling lung ailments.”

      • SW September 10, 2021 at 4:10 pm #

Greenwald seems to understand the underlying issue and be able to articulate it. The people demanding the unvaccinated be forced to submit care nothing about any constitutional rights that are violated and would happily see them disenfranchised. Maybe that will be next — show your vaccine passport or you don’t get to vote. It wouldn’t surprise me in the least.

The thread further down the link of the CEO of The Daily Wire is good. He states his company will not comply with the order to force its employees to vaccinate.

        • tresho September 11, 2021 at 6:38 pm #

“show your vaccine passport or you don’t get to vote” One thing that definitely won’t happen is a mandate to be vaccinated in order to receive welfare benefits.

“assured the people of New York that the air around ground zero was safe to breathe” I read that at the time, and I still remember it. I knew there was no basis of fact for that statement. By the middle of the 18th century, more than 25 years before the American revolution, Benjamin Franklin had already instituted his most well-known public works projects such as volunteer fire companies, and public libraries. What is less well known today about Franklin’s civic mindedness, however, is the lottery he created to raise money to purchase artillery for the defense of Pennsylvania. Writing to a friend about this activity, Thomas Penn, the grandson of William Penn, and the royal “Proprietor” of Pennsylvania, called Franklin “dangerous”. He conjectured that it wasn’t a great stretch between showing the people that they could act independently of government and having them act against it. I think this idea lies at the heart of the unholy alliance between the administrative state, the media, and the Democrat party. They know that they’ll never be able to expand their power with a population that to a significant extent distrusts government, and are inclined to think for themselves, and act independently of government. This is why they are hell-bent on replacing Americans with a new people – a 3rd world compliant and dependent population that will do as their told.

So… what if “Joe Biden” having a spectacular failure is part of a plan?

When he was being propped up by the party as the presumptive nominee for the executive office, I became perplexed. Here was a party with adherents screaming curses about “white privilege” and “the patriarchy” nominating a very white patriarch as its candidate.

And more than that, he was visibly de-capacitated by senility commensurate with his advanced age, yet the white-hating party loyalists still voted for him.

I now hypothesize that “Joe Biden” was elected not despite his degenerative mental disability but because of it.

pLet us suppose that Pronunciations like yesterday’s (and we can be pretty sure he did not come up with the edicts) are intended to provoke rage and doubt – and what do we rage against?? We rage at the symbol of white male patriarchal privilege. I suspect that “Joe Biden” with his repetition of the words “Civil War” will soon be creating more outrage, even as the drool begins to escape the corners of his mouth at his trance-like announcements.

When things become VERY BAD, that is when the savior symbol gets to step in with all her multi-racial “black”, female (yet on the gender spectrum) qualities of the New America of Tomorrow, pulling us all back from the brink of conflagration.

And from that day and going forward, we’ll not vote again into the executive suite another white member of the patriarchy.

There is something about those of us who are de-facto members of the white patriarchy, however: We have a tendency conditioned into us, that compels us to protect our families, our friends, our neighbors and even those we haven’t met.

We are conditioned to accept sacrifices to defend others, even if it means forfeiting our incredibly precious time of being animated with life.

When we take another man’s hand in ours, bonds form, trust builds and suddenly so much potential is possible.

For forces that would subjugate a population, these are all qualities (amongst others) that pose a threat to the implementation of subjugation and therefore, must be destroyed.

Forcing us all to direct hate at the decrepit and failing figure of American White Male Patriarchy is akin to sinking some huge axe strikes deep into the rooted and oaken trunk of our traditional society.

As we take our little hatchet and pocketknife hacks at the “Joe Biden”, we might consider if that is what the forces behind the Psy-Op intended and perhaps we can re-adjust our focus to their roots, rather than at a dried out, old, sacrificial branch.

  56. cowbell81 September 10, 2021 at 1:04 pm #

This article explains exactly why government cannot be trusted to do anything right. Biden’s latest threats only apply to the “Executive” branch, not the “Judiciary” or the “Legislative” arms.

To think that the government has any meaningful way to enforce something like this on all private sector businesses is just crazy. Good luck keeping your records straight and trying to ensure everything is properly administered!

In some ways I like the bungling nature of our over bloated federal government. It allows people to purposely slip through the cracks and take advantage of its weaknesses for their own personal gain.

The news casters are being hypnotized by their own attempts at hypnotizing viewers. They use endless repetition, funky graphics, news jargon speak, film editing, etc. The hypnotic stares of Blitzer and Cooper rival Putins blank expression. The tables have turned; the attempts to believe their own lies have brought them into the ‘The Great Numbing’, as I call it [you can use that phrase if you like, rather catchy isn’t it]. It’s a long propaganda process and they have cracked much like the long emergency in progress. The talking media heads have made their handlers proud aka the deep state, until now, ‘Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive’.

Too ‘chiken’ to talk 9/11? I know, the big bad wolf, aka the deep state, has numbed the crap out of you. Billions in gold bullion in the basement level vaults disappeared into thin air and the hypnotized masses do nothing. There was a hurricane off the coast ready to add more fuel to the energy weapon fire if needed, and ‘The Great Numbing’ erased that ‘coincidence’. You can search youtube ‘9/11 hurricane’ and see what the weather channels did not report.

Regarding the poor outcome for Covid patients on ventilators I have a theory:
it is already known that the damage in the lungs is caused primarily by excessive neutrophil infiltration of the lungs (due to the fact that the patient was unable to clear the infection in a timely manner).

It is also known that many ventilators in hospitals are contaminated by bacteria many of which a gram negative. See e.g. the article on “ventilator associated pneumonia” (VAP) on Wikipedia.

So when patients are put on a ventilator they will likely be pumped full of antibiotics in a prophylactic fashion which then tear up the incoming microbes. In the case of gram negative bacteria (klebsiella pneumoniae, pseudomonas aeruginosa) this releases a lot of enterotoxin containing LPS (lipopolysaccharides). These bacteria also produce enterotoxin if they are not killed with antibiotics and so are a source of LPS in any case.

LPS is one of the most effective immune system stimulants. I would guess that it massively stimulates further neutrophil activity. This then finishes off the patient.

The sad fact is that the hospital is a very dangerous place due to the various germs which reside in it. Thinking about that puts into proper perspective the confidence we should have in the health care system in general.

    • cowbell81 September 10, 2021 at 1:31 pm #

However, the tool in the Conservative camp who will replace him (that’s his name – O Toole) is a classic big talking Rino. The impression I have now of this world is that most people WANT to be slaves – as long as they have their phones and online porn.

Every civilization needs a narrative in which it is a shining tower casting a small circle of light into the surrounding darkness of barbarism.
The narrative is always completely mendacious. It is needed to keep the domestic population in line.

In the anglosphere the narrative shows signs of aging since it has persisted without challenge for almost 300 years. It is now sclerotic without life force, mechanistic and highly scripted:
“object of type T imploded killing many, but our type T is the best world wide”, “Saddam … terrorist”, “Putin … terrorist”, “Iran … terrorists”, “Taliban … terrorists”, “vaccine … rare ”

A new stage in the devolution is the emergence of elements which are completely irrational (critical race theory, transgenderism, transhumanism) or pathological (abolition of one’s own history, pulling down statues etc).

Part of the ruling class has degenerated so far that they do not seem to understand that the pathological elements directly counteract the purpose of the narrative. We can expect increasing fragmentation as a consequence.

The more problems the civilization now faces, the more rigorously adherence to the narrative is enforced (cancellation, marginalization, firing, disappearance) and this will cause much psychological pain as the narrative becomes increasingly convoluted and riddled with contradictions.

On a clear day we can now see it even of the faces of the propaganda organs.

Minorities don’t consider our history to be theirs. They’ve been encouraged not to do so since Whites are portrayed as so utterly evil. So given that, their choice is rational.

And truly who can blame the Blacks? Our heritage enslaved them. As Jefferson said, there will never be peace between us.

    • Hereward the Woke September 11, 2021 at 1:44 pm #

Spot on, Michael. I think we’re in the final part of the civilizational cycle: terminal decline. If we can pull this one out of the fire, we’ll have done what no civilization has ever achieved before. I wonder what will come next to replace us?

  62. amb September 10, 2021 at 2:17 pm #

This is all the best of what could be happening. It is fortifying and expediting the Fourth Turning that we are now in.

Trump’s surprise election (Nationalism/Populism returning to USA), the antics of the Biden Regime, News Media, Big Tech, Big Pharma, etc. etc. has raised we-the-people’s awareness and realization that we must awake from our slumber and lack of vigilance and take back our country. State’s Rights will be coming back into the fold as the people force their local and state governments to send a message to Wash DC/Federal Government to shut up and go away… and, don’t come into the state unless you want to go to prison.

The Globalists have exposed themselves fully as a result of attempting to erase Trump, etc. They’ve made one huge mistake after the next due to their desperation. And, now they are desperate to maintain control. It’s curtains for them. The Nationalist/Populist/Nation-State construct is on the rise.

Be positive. It’s all good. A good war.

    • oilie September 10, 2021 at 5:15 pm #

We understand the game now, but don’t make the mistake of thinking that we can vote these criminals out of office while they retain the ability to manipulate the vote counts. If we can’t fix 2020 it will be repeated and expanded in 2022. A good test case will be the California recall. People there are ready to dump Newsom, but a corrupt election system will likely enhance his votes and suppress those favoring the recall. That’s how California remains a blue state.

      • Wizard of the Saddle September 11, 2021 at 2:45 pm #

I’m not sure you can properly call the California recall vote a “test” of election integrity. The entire California State government is in the hands of the Dems. They have not, and will not, pass any election reform legislation, nor would Newsome sign such bills if they were passed. California is already a one-party state and can be written off.

The real test will be in swing states and Red States where Republicans hold legislative chambers and governorships. Those are the places that ARE currently tightening up their election integrity laws in anticipation of another massive round of cheating by the Dems in the 2022 mid-terms.

THAT……will be the true test of whether or not we can pull this country back from the brink using only the ballot box. Our endless “hopium” addiction causes each of us to pray for such an outcome, but our pragmatic realism should motivate all of us to keep prepping for the advent of tyranny or a general collapse into anarchy and domestic civil conflict.

    • Hereward the Woke September 11, 2021 at 1:46 pm #

Hope you are right, amb. Trump did a lot of good things but his most useful service was to show us the depth of the DS corruption. Ironically, as he was putting the China flu masks on our faces, he was tearing off the DS mask for all to see. States rights and some kind of secession is probably the way it will go. And as you say, the DS overplaying their hand, may well be the final push that sets this off. Interesting times!

Simply stated: The higher the vaccination rate, the higher the number of cases & number of deaths.

The numbers don’t lie – the globalists & MSM do.

Something happening here, what it is, ain’t exactly clear.

    August 25, 2021

    Israel (pop. 9,227,700)
78% age 12 and older fully vaccinated
26% age 12 and older on their 3rd jab
7 day average cases per day = 6088
    7 day average deaths = 21

    Lebanon (pop. 6,768,310)
15% age 12 and older fully vaccinated
0.0% age 12 and older on their 3rd jab
7 day average cases per day = 737
    7 day average deaths = 4

(adjusted for population size difference vs Israel)
7 day average cases per day = 540
    7 day average deaths = 3

    Egypt(pop. 102,000,000)
    11x the population of Israel
2.1% age 12 and older fully vaccinated
0.0% age 12 and older on their 3rd jab
7 day average cases per day = 178
    7 day average deaths = 8
(adjusted for population size difference vs Israel)
7 day average cases per day = 16
    7 day average deaths = 0.73

To the extend poor/3rd world countries have not had the kinds of death rates the rich/1st world countries have had, can the differences in part be explained by the fact that the 1st world has huge numbers of elderly and/or obese and/or people with serious co-morbidities than the 3rd world? Said another way, we have been warehousing and otherwise keeping alive large numbers of people that in the 3rd world would have died of natural causes long ago. Also the 3rd world has significantly younger populations on average than does the 1st world.

      • Ron Anselmo September 10, 2021 at 4:46 pm #

Very good point Chippenhook, and I’m sure the numbers skew from the points you make – good ones.

In the US, a greater portion of our GDP is a function of “healthcare”.
So yes, we keep the elderly & unwell alive longer, in order to wring out every last dollar.

Third world countries are preoccupied with their daily bread. A more physical endeavor & probably a relatively healthier diet – provided they even get enough to eat, that is – which, God bless them, isn’t always the case.

        • SW September 10, 2021 at 5:16 pm #

Third world countries may also have more robust immune systems. I’ve read several articles that have made the assertion children’s immune systems may have been slowed due to lockdowns and far less interaction with other people and being in public spaces. We may not know for a while if this is a valid concern or not.

        • Chippenhook September 10, 2021 at 5:29 pm #

Another piece is that many of the poor in 3rd world countries simply die at home given healthcare is not a right such as it is here. They can’t just show up at an ER and be cared for. In the case of covid, many may have died at home w/o ever having been tested.

Does anyone know of the punishment for those who refuse the vaccination per the Sep 9 Executive Order? Normally it would be a fine or imprisonment.

Companies with 100+ employees are not part of the executive branch of the government and can’t fine or imprison their employees. At most they could call the police to remove the employees from the workplace. In that case, the punishment would effectively be loss of income for each day the employee refuses the vaccination. So some workers wold be fined (effectively) $200 per day if that’s their daily wage while others would be fined (effectively) $120 or $1,000 per day. That would be a system of systemic unequal justice under the law wouldn’t it?

    • cowbell81 September 10, 2021 at 2:42 pm #

Simple answer: just keep filing injunctions and pleadings in court, or causes of action against your employer. Wrap them up in so much red tape that they will have no where to turn. Turn this into a veritable Jarndyce v. Jarndyce.

There is no way they can enforce this against everyone if we keep the waters muddied enough. The order itself doesn’t seem to have any teeth. I couldn’t even find anywhere about when these silly stipulations made by JoJo go into effect!

Given the rulemaking process in our Federal bureaucracy, it could be months, maybe years before something is made more clear. By then hopefully Grandpa Joe will be out of office due to cause, death, etc.

Here we are 20 years later with trillions spent and thousands of our young men and women dead and wounded, and we are less safe now than on that fateful day.

The Taliban has won the war. Our prestige and influence in the world is not what it was 20 years ago. Both of those points can only serve to embolden our enemies.

China is vastly stronger and increasingly belligerent. Iran and North Korea have nukes, or will have them soon enough. The US military and economy as a whole is more dependent than ever upon China’s willingness to supply us. Even the manufacturing we do have can’t operate independent of supply chains that reach back into China.

Technology has changed the nature of future warfare to the extent that the ability to wage cyberwar is a more powerful weapon than aircraft carriers and battle groups. In response to that we haven’t hardened the grid or decentralized it for resiliency. Nor has any of our other critical infrastructure and operating systems been hardened or made more resilient. We continue to prioritize efficiency over security and resilience.

China’s 1st test run at biowar, even assuming it was an accidental release, has demonstrated a staggering level of incompetence and unpreparedness on our part, and this was with a mild virus by historic pandemic measures.

We are less safe and ready or not, war is coming.

James, this current essay nails it. I hope the pin is pulled. ZeroHedge published the BidenMandate story last night, and within a few hours there were more than 7000 comments, almost all of them agreeing that the line in the sand has been drawn…..

I, like hopefully most of you, am amongst the great unvaxed.
Today I’m feeling sad and sentimental, having intense nostalgia for the not so distant past. I visualize us in the future telling wild eyed tales around a campfire about a Great Lost Civilization, and how it all went down. I will tell the young ones tales of great symphonies, cathedrals, art, sculpture, and literature.

Already life has changed so much. Retirement? Not what I expected.
I’ve said goodby to comfort and safely. I am now knee deep pulling weeds out of a sweet potato patch, canning tomatoes, and spending sleepless nights covered in chigger bites. I’ve shifted from contemplating the emotional tug of a shift to a diminished seventh chord, to figuring out how to capture and move a copperhead off the deck of our house.

Remember, “If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed, if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.” ~ Winston S. Churchill

    • MaryQueen September 10, 2021 at 4:02 pm #

Excellent comment. Yes, I get nostalgic too, and then I get angry, because of the assholes who just decided to take it all away. I do understand it has ever been thus throughout history, but it still rankles.

I have already made peace with the fact the future is not only ‘not bright’ it’s damn scary. I will just have to adapt along with everyone else, I guess. But I am also going to resist and fight whenever possible.

      • JTinMD September 11, 2021 at 11:56 am #

Yes, Mary, ‘twas ever thus, but this time we’re dealing with exponential growth like never before. And I’m not talking about GDP growth. Crime, drug abuse, mendacity, foolishness, zealotry, violence, and on and on goes the list of bad things growing exponentially.

Humans are perhaps the most adaptable creatures ever to have lived, rats and roaches excluded. That’s cuz brains. I submit that the rate of change now has exceeded our adaptability, and left our reptile brains in charge, driving us into the safety of unthinking tribalism. Driving us nuts.

So you’re right — ‘twas ever thus, but this time it’s at 10x speed.

      • Hereward the Woke September 11, 2021 at 1:57 pm #

Good comments. I have mixed feelings. I have intense anger and frustration against these evil bastards, and against the stupid sheep around me. On the other hand, this “pandemic” has also opened my eyes and created some new opportunities. Let’s be honest, our old way of living mostly WAS kind of crazy: the pointless materialism, hanging on the word of every dumb celeb, the obsession with sport, the TV and the next vacation. For these 18 months, I have to re-evaluate many things I had faith in before all this. We’ve been reminded very forcefully, that despite all our progress, we are still pretty much as our ancestors were: naked upon the Earth and vulnerable to any maniac who wants to push the boat. I’ve been pushed to think more about God and what it means to be human; to realize that liberty has to be defended and fought for, and that being confronted with Evil means countering it with Good wherever you can. I don’t want to sound like Psycho Schwab, but maybe this will push us to realign our priorities and build something better than the materialist wasteland we lived in before.

Even Churchill, the asshole that he was, was 100% spot on correct on occasion.

Jewelweed is excellent for chigger bites. (It is mostly known as a poison ivy remedy.) If you can find some, tincture it in apple cider vinegar. Now is a good time to look for it, in damp, shady places on north-facing slopes, as it is blooming now (at least around here).

My sister is being forced to get the jab as a state employee. I told her the day after the poke to call in sick and say she can’t work due to some elusive ailment. Vertigo, abdominal pain, whatever. Something without a test for. Fibromyalgia maybe. Whatever that is. . As a state employee they will have to put her on disability. I’ve seen that scam pulled a few times. I say prove that I’m not sick. It ain’t gonna happen Just keep banging the sick days. I know that won’t work for some private employers but the state or city is liable. After burning your sick time they will cave.

    • cowbell81 September 10, 2021 at 3:25 pm #

Would totally be on board with the sick ailment excuse. When I was a county worker I once used so many sick days in a short amount of time that they started to question me and their legitimacy. With the work environment there I didn’t feel bad about my actions at all. I simply told them to shove it.

Haven’t used a sick day in years now since I got my new laid back job where people are actually human.

James Howard: I would allude to a large cache of C-4 with a fuse initiated by the black Jesus, damped down by the Donald and now having bidet blowing as hard as he can. If we’re fortunate, kneesup will replace bidet and she only knows how to suck voraciously, thereby inadvertently saving us.
It appears that the clinton faction has been superseded by the black Jesus faction. The action taken yesterday, designed to coalesce right/left into clearly identified groupings, has Obama brain prints all over it. Now, having given life to the theoretical blueprint, they have to actually initiate the implementation on real people. Damn reality! Why can’t we just say it’s done and everyone go along? You mean we REALLY have to force 80/100 million to accede to our illegal, fascist demands? Think they’ll do it peacefully? Oh shit, they can find out WHERE we work/live online, can’t they Eric, Loretta, Stacy, Valerie, Jim C, John B. Gee, no secret service guarding you, is there?
I believe the reaction (violent/non) will depends on the chosen mechanism of enforcement. If losing one’s employment doesn’t illicit a violent leaning, then extension of restrictions to activities of daily living will.
I viewed pictures of the now fat loser with her pliant wiener toady, out in public with two? Secret service guards in tow. Only two in sight, at least. Unbelievably easy. Sun Tzu anyone? Nuff Said.

His handlers are aping Obama. They probably are Obama and his clique of traitors. Obama’s every decision was based on the same question: “How much will this make America weaker?” Biden’s regime is no different. They are in the pay of the globalists and/or the Chinese and want America destroyed. TBH, America was divided a long time before, but now they are going for broke – literally.

  73. timgenx September 10, 2021 at 3:52 pm #

Unlike with Peking or Moscow Washington DC is a midget town with delusions of grandeur. US federal government functions somewhat properly when and only when the 50 states work reasonably well together but now it is fraying badly. That probably was the idea that the federal government should not be in a big city, proving more clout.

This is a race between woke entropy destroying institutions and their intent to install some kind of new woke tyranny on top of those crumbling institutions. Yesterday, Biden sped up the crumbling part considerably and the whole structure is damned.

With institutions in internal chaos and the crucial command chain screwed you simply cannot force your tyranny upon people. It is like the dysfunctional people of fictional Idiocracy trying to install tyranny.

Historic times…this is a bit like corrupt Roman senators over 2000 years ago challenging Julius Caesar. Except modern day Caesar like aka Trump is not that relevant anymore but he did ignite the movement in 2016. Created and crystallized the counter force against the wokesters.

    • MaryQueen September 10, 2021 at 5:21 pm #

      Well put, timgenx.

I am seeing this system has to collapse under the pressure of the idiotic woke totalitarianism. It simply does not appeal to the masses at large.

Most people look at it and scratch their heads, or point and laugh.

But the wokies don’t see it. They have no sense of community, only of cliques and political agendas.

While they self-destruct, including learning institutions and government, we will be building a parallel society for people who want the return of community, small businesses, farms, and the ability to raise our own kids, rather than sitting in a cubicle somewhere all day.

This is the REAL ‘green new deal’ but ironically one that the wokies won’t go for. Think of the energy saved when people don’t have a commute, and if we produce our own food locally. It’s ‘greener than green’ but it doens’t allow the PTB to have all the power, so they’ll fight us against having it. But we have to try anyway.

Fan fiction opportunities abound for those with the talent, but alas, it ain’t me, babe.

Nobody here thinks so! Maybe Redneck, but no one of consequence.

Relax, kick back, get the vax (or not) and go on with life. Much ado about nothing on this blog. Folks here worry too much. We’re all gonna die someday anyway, right? And remember before you exorcise the “gubmint” what Teddy Roosevelt ( a republican if I remember) said over a century ago: “The government is all of us. WE are the government, you and I.” If I remember the facts of life, no one on this blog asked to be here, but here we are, for better or worse. Deal with it.

    • michael September 10, 2021 at 4:04 pm #

      “WE are the government”

Not many left who believe this.

      • O.G. Hawkins September 10, 2021 at 5:23 pm #

Well ya … because it is completely ridiculous vis-a-vis Reality.

    • cowbell81 September 10, 2021 at 4:05 pm #

Hard to feel like we as individuals are the “government” when the elections are not entirely transparent. Furthermore, when politicians are elected and controlled by big business and outside influences, again, this does not support the notion that WE are the government. More like WE are pawns in a terrible chess match.

Nice to see that Kalifornia is still hard at work on the things that matter. Looks like Gov. Newsbomb might have something to sign when the recall keeps him in office.

“California Law Will No Longer Allow Companies to Slap the Recycling Symbol on Everything”

This paragraph really made me laugh, since the actions of this Senator Allen come across as completely opposed to common sense regarding plastic bags:

“State Sen. Ben Allen, the bill’s lead sponsor, told CalMatters his experience grabbing the newspaper every morning inspired him to put forth the proposal. The paper comes in a plastic sleeve marked with the three arrows, and so he would toss the bag in the recycling bin. He later learned that though plastic bags are technically recyclable under perfect lab conditions, they weren’t really getting recycled anywhere in the state. That means the sleeves were merely clogging up processing plants, contributing to the continued breakdown of the American recycling system.”

I’m going to a huge outdoor public ribfest tomorrow — 8 hours of food and live music.

I’ll report back in two days if I see anyone taking off and replacing their face diaper between bites, or even wiping their greasy mouths with the rag before putting it back on. Should be entertaining.

Vast space, probably a nice breeze. I’ll also estimate % of maskers and distancers. I’ve a hankering to get close, smile, and spew rib sauce while talking loudly.

Vaccination may become a rational choice if the virus mutates into more deadly form as is possible because of the vaccination campaign with inefficient vaccines.

As best I can tell from my own research, there seems to be no really option. Here is a rundown of the various vaccine types:

advantages: no contamination with biological materials, no additional adjuvant needed.
disadvantages: mechanism of action, side effects not fully understood, delivery mechanism involves dangerous substances (graphene oxide and various others), elicits narrowly focused immune response

    Viral vector:
    advantages: no adjuvant needed (?)
disadvantages: possible contamination with biological materials, may be ineffective if host immune to virus vector, unknown side effects, elicits narrowly focused immune response including the useless one to the vector virus.

    Protein subunit:
advantages: no contamination with biological materials
disadvantages: side effects not fully understood, adjuvant needed (alum is the worst, check what they use, e.g.: saponin based (do more research), I would prefer advax), elicits narrowly focused immune response

    killed virus:
    advantages: broader based immunity
disadvantages: adjuvant needed, possible contamination with biological materials (but less than others)

live attenuated virus (the classical vaccine):
advantages: superior, broadest based immunity (i.e. effectiveness against variants)
disadvantages: long time and expensive to develop, virus may revert to unattenuated form, possible contamination with biological materials.

    Contamination with biological materials:
whenever the vaccine uses a virus a a delivery mechanism (either as a vector for DNA or the disease causing agent itself) this virus has to be grown in a biological substrate from which it can pick up contamination, even other viruses (e.g. cancer causing virus SV40 in the Salk polio vaccine).
In this case the vaccine would infect you with another live and unattenuated virus (except in the case of killed virus vaccines, where the contaminating virus is also killed). But here is also contamination with hundreds of other proteins.

Another consideration is which types of antibodies the vaccine predominantly elicits. For a respiratory virus the first line of defense are the mucous membranes where IgA is the most important antibody.

Typically inhaled (nasal) vaccines will elicit these more so than muscle injected vaccines (which predominantly elicit IgG).

So my choice would be a nasal vaccine, possibly protein subunit after I have checked the adjuvant.

Jim, the way fed.gov is acting, I’m thinking we’re getting near the end of even fracking, tar sands, and other bottom of the barrel dredge.

Would you be surprised if there were emergency rationing measures introduced, including not only fuels for personal use, but also deliveries of crucial food supplies and other essential goods?

We stopped generationg sufficient ROI way back in the 00s. That’s why capital moved into leveraged financial speculation aka 2009 crash.

As you and others have noted, perhaps covid was just a mechanism to finally decouple all finance and banking from the normal, unprofitable real economy.

If oil & gas has become sufficiently uneconomical to produce, then as Gail has predicted for years, production shortfalls will begin to be felt throughout every supply chain.

Maybe that’s why Biden pulled the pin. The alternative could be worse if the people cannot be brought under control thru vaxx passes, digitized monetary controls, tavel and work restrictions, etc

  91. Roundball Shaman September 10, 2021 at 6:06 pm #

“The pin has been pulled. Watch the USA descend into its season of darkness and chaos.”

The USA has long already been in its season of darkness and chaos for a couple generations now.

Those who were around back then know that darkness and chaos fell on the Nation in 1963 and has never once lifted. Later, the 9/11 trauma was dropped on the already reeling Nation and continues (as does 1963) to serve as a weight of darkness and a general feeling of disorientation and that “Things Just Don’t Feel Right”.

No, they don’t. Of course they don’t. And they won’t… because those who profit and benefit from the ongoing season of darkness and chaos will never let that honey pot go. In fact, it is now the default position of the Nation and its citizens have seemingly little interest in finding our way out of the Dark Pit that we’ve been living in for at least 60 years now.

What remains now is the knockout blow. The one that finishes the job. People can sense it around the corner. Just one more punch and that will be it.

Where will it come from? There are multiple suspects, but does it really matter? The country is staggering in the national ring and being held up still erect only by the ropes. The big punch is out there waiting to be delivered.

And there is little suspense in the only outcome that can possibly come from a toxic mix of the body blows of ongoing national darkness and chaos. Unless, that is, something is done about changing that mood to something else?

And from who would it be necessary to do that? Again, no suspense in knowing that answer. The only suspense is in how likely is that to happen.

    • MaryQueen September 10, 2021 at 6:26 pm #

It should be fairly easy to corroborate this Nurse’s story by finding out if the Covid-19 treatment protocol in US hospitals is indeed Remdesivir + Ventilators?

    Is this nurse fake?

    • dorn September 10, 2021 at 11:33 pm #

My mother is in the covid ward of a small county hospital in flyover. Remdesivir is, indeed, part of the covid protocol. I am her health POA and was alerted, by my sister, as to the dangers of the drug; experimental, emergency use only, failed trials, another mrna drug. She had already had one dose, with another three scheduled. I requested that she was not to receive further doses. I was met with hostile rhetoric from nurses and a social worker, telling me that I was jeopardizing her treatment and her “medical necessity” status, while acknowledging that I was within my rights as medical POA. I was told I would be contacted by the attending physician for an explanation. Upon inquiry, I was told that it was not necessary that he accept my explanation and I think I owe him no explanation, but will cite the experimental aspect, etc., if he does contact me. As to the ventilator question. that has not come up because she is breathing o.k., but I have directed that there be no resuscitation, which includes no ventilator. This is in accordance with her wishes. This is ongoing, at the present time and we shall see what we shall see.

If things go from bad to worse try potassium idodide and even better Lugol’s solution, it interferes with the chemical navigation of neutrophils (neutrophils navigate along chemical gradients).

It might suppress neutrophil infiltration of the lungs.
You can find corresponding information on the internet.

“I have certain rules I live by. My first rule: I don’t believe anything the government tells me. Sooner or later the people in this country are going to realize: the government does not give a fuck about them. The government doesn’t care about you, or your children, or your rights, or your welfare, or your safety. It simply doesn’t give a fuck about you. It’s interested in its own power. That’s the only thing keeping it and expanding it wherever possible.”

  96. Proton September 10, 2021 at 8:51 pm #

Does it make any sense to you to listen to people who say follow “da science” when “da science” and the people who say to follow it are responsible for the mess we’re in? Because it doesn’t make any sense to me.

See, on top of everything, the people telling us what to do are lying about what they themselves did. It doesn’t look to me like a sin of omission, as in oops I forgot to mention it, no, it sure looks like a bald-faced lie. When asked a direct question, they said they hadn’t done it. Well, they apparently did do it.

Telling us what to do? Hell, they’re insisting and threatening people.

Or maybe I’m one of those rubes who thinks he knows a lot but really doesn’t. You’ve seen the type, so have I, big talker, generally short and bald, tiresome, pretends at a vocabulary he doesn’t have, bad grammar, spelling mistakes. Embarrassing stuff.

But really, words can have so many meanings, and all these medical and scientific and financial types are so far above me. And you too. So don’t get too far over your skis (the plural of ski is skis. I looked it up.)

So, when they say they hadn’t funded something, well, maybe they hadn’t. Maybe they just sent money. Maybe that’s all it was.

    • Yohannon September 10, 2021 at 9:04 pm #

Yes, they are good with words. They must be rectified or made right along with the words they are perverting. Rectification of Names is the first step in renewal as Confucius said.

      • Proton September 10, 2021 at 9:41 pm #

This rectification is a problem. On the one hand, according to what I’ve read, English is an amalgam of languages with various Germanic and Norse lingos at the base, later overlayered by French and then by Latin and Greek when the British aristocracy gave up on using French. This allowed the expansion of the English vocabulary which allowed for greater precision in conveying meaning in some instances, but in others doing the opposite. Ask any lawyer.

So then, what to cull? Who specifies proper usage? Do you want an academy like the French have to decide these things?

Seems to me this approach ossifies a language. Seems to me that if a language can’t change, especially from the bottom up, to accommodate discourse, then it goes bye-bye. The elite end up speaking one language, the language of the ‘educated’, unintelligible to the masses, and the masses speak another, disdained by the elite.

Which sounds to me the way things are going whether or not we have a formal Academie Anglais, as a counterpart to that in France. But, over time, because the elite are vastly outnumbered, the language of the masses wins out.

The other problem is academe. Clarity of expression? Not on your life. Not from that quarter.

        • Soul Forensics September 10, 2021 at 10:36 pm #

Language — every one, and at all times — only progresses organically. That is, someone in the community will create what we now (sometimes) disparagingly call a “neologism”, it will gain traction for many reasons (onomatopoeia, aesthetic appeal, emotional heft, multiple meanings etc), and eventually become common usage through spontaneous choice and approval.

The opposite is true now. We have top-down edicts on bogus terms, which gives them their fifteen minutes of fame and infamy. But make no mistake, as soon as the universities collapse with the general economic systems-wide collapse, egregiously vulgar terms like “racialized”, “safe space”, “microaggression”, “male gaze”, “mansplaining”, “White fragility”, will be forgotten, or, for curious linguistic historical scholars in a hundred years, relegated to one of those entertaining, laughed-at booklets of weird-n-wacky archaic expressions.

The resignation letter of Peter Boghossian, initially published by Bari Weis in her newsletter

    Dear Provost Susan Jeffords,

??I’m writing to you today to resign as assistant professor of philosophy at Portland State University.

Over the last decade, it has been my privilege to teach at the university. My specialties are critical thinking, ethics and the Socratic method, and I teach classes like Science and Pseudoscience and The Philosophy of Education. But in addition to exploring classic philosophers and traditional texts, I’ve invited a wide range of guest lecturers to address my classes, from Flat-Earthers to Christian apologists to global climate skeptics to Occupy Wall Street advocates. I’m proud of my work.

I invited those speakers not because I agreed with their worldviews, but primarily because I didn’t. From those messy and difficult conversations, I’ve seen the best of what our students can achieve: questioning beliefs while respecting believers; staying even-tempered in challenging circumstances; and even changing their minds.

Peter Boghossian has taught philosophy at Portland State University for the past decade. In the letter below, sent this morning to the university’s provost, he explains why he is resigning

I never once believed — nor do I now — that the purpose of instruction was to lead my students to a particular conclusion. Rather, I sought to create the conditions for rigorous thought; to help them gain the tools to hunt and furrow for their own conclusions. This is why I became a teacher and why I love teaching.

But brick by brick, the university has made this kind of intellectual exploration impossible. It has transformed a bastion of free inquiry into a Social Justice factory whose only inputs were race, gender, and victimhood and whose only outputs were grievance and division.

Students at Portland State are not being taught to think. Rather, they are being trained to mimic the moral certainty of ideologues. Faculty and administrators have abdicated the university’s truth-seeking mission and instead drive intolerance of divergent beliefs and opinions. This has created a culture of offense where students are now afraid to speak openly and honestly.

I noticed signs of the illiberalism that has now fully swallowed the academy quite early during my time at Portland State. I witnessed students refusing to engage with different points of view. Questions from faculty at diversity trainings that challenged approved narratives were instantly dismissed. Those who asked for evidence to justify new institutional policies were accused of microaggressions. And professors were accused of bigotry for assigning canonical texts written by philosophers who happened to have been European and male.

At first, I didn’t realize how systemic this was and I believed I could question this new culture. So I began asking questions. What is the evidence that trigger warnings and safe spaces contribute to student learning? Why should racial consciousness be the lens through which we view our role as educators? How did we decide that “cultural appropriation” is immoral?

Unlike my colleagues, I asked these questions out loud and in public.

‘Students at Portland State are not being taught to think. Rather, they are being trained to mimic the moral certainty of ideologues. Faculty and administrators have abdicated the university’s truth-seeking mission and instead drive intolerance of divergent beliefs and opinions. This has created a culture of offense where students are now afraid to speak openly and honestly’, Peter Boghossian wrote in his resignation letter

He added: ‘I noticed signs of the illiberalism that has now fully swallowed the academy quite early during my time at Portland State. I witnessed students refusing to engage with different points of view’”.

I decided to study the new values that were engulfing Portland State and so many other educational institutions — values that sound wonderful, like diversity, equity, and inclusion, but might actually be just the opposite. The more I read the primary source material produced by critical theorists, the more I suspected that their conclusions reflected the postulates of an ideology, not insights based on evidence.

I began networking with student groups who had similar concerns and brought in speakers to explore these subjects from a critical perspective. And it became increasingly clear to me that the incidents of illiberalism I had witnessed over the years were not just isolated events, but part of an institution-wide problem.

The more I spoke out about these issues, the more retaliation I faced.

Early in the 2016-17 academic year, a former student complained about me and the university initiated a Title IX investigation. (Title IX investigations are a part of federal law designed to protect “people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive federal financial assistance.”) My accuser, a white male, made a slew of baseless accusations against me, which university confidentiality rules unfortunately prohibit me from discussing further. What I can share is that students of mine who were interviewed during the process told me the Title IX investigator asked them if they knew anything about me beating my wife and children. This horrifying accusation soon became a widespread rumor.

With Title IX investigations there is no due process, so I didn’t have access to the particular accusations, the ability to confront my accuser, and I had no opportunity to defend myself. Finally, the results of the investigation were revealed in December 2017. Here are the last two sentences of the report: “Global Diversity & Inclusion finds there is insufficient evidence that Boghossian violated PSU’s Prohibited Discrimination & Harassment policy. GDI recommends Boghossian receive coaching.”

Not only was there no apology for the false accusations, but the investigator also told me that in the future I was not allowed to render my opinion about “protected classes” or teach in such a way that my opinion about protected classes could be known — a bizarre conclusion to absurd charges. Universities can enforce ideological conformity just through the threat of these investigations.

I eventually became convinced that corrupted bodies of scholarship were responsible for justifying radical departures from the traditional role of liberal arts schools and basic civility on campus. There was an urgent need to demonstrate that morally fashionable papers — no matter how absurd — could be published. I believed then that if I exposed the theoretical flaws of this body of literature, I could help the university community avoid building edifices on such shaky ground.

So, in 2017, I co-published an intentionally garbled peer-reviewed paper that took aim at the new orthodoxy. Its title: “The Conceptual Penis as a Social Construct.” This example of pseudo-scholarship, which was published in Cogent Social Sciences, argued that penises were products of the human mind and responsible for climate change. Immediately thereafter, I revealed the article as a hoax designed to shed light on the flaws of the peer-review and academic publishing systems.

Shortly thereafter, swastikas in the bathroom with my name under them began appearing in two bathrooms near the philosophy department. They also occasionally showed up on my office door, in one instance accompanied by bags of feces. Our university remained silent. When it acted, it was against me, not the perpetrators.

I continued to believe, perhaps naively, that if I exposed the flawed thinking on which Portland State’s new values were based, I could shake the university from its madness. In 2018 I co-published a series of absurd or morally repugnant peer-reviewed articles in journals that focused on issues of race and gender. In one of them we argued that there was an epidemic of dog rape at dog parks and proposed that we leash men the way we leash dogs. Our purpose was to show that certain kinds of “scholarship” are based not on finding truth but on advancing social grievances. This worldview is not scientific, and it is not rigorous.

Administrators and faculty were so angered by the papers that they published an anonymous piece in the student paper and Portland State filed formal charges against me. Their accusation? “Research misconduct” based on the absurd premise that the journal editors who accepted our intentionally deranged articles were “human subjects.” I was found guilty of not receiving approval to experiment on human subjects.

Meanwhile, ideological intolerance continued to grow at Portland State. In March 2018, a tenured professor disrupted a public discussion I was holding with author Christina Hoff Sommers and evolutionary biologists Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying. In June 2018, someone triggered the fire alarm during my conversation with popular cultural critic Carl Benjamin. In October 2018, an activist pulled out the speaker wires to interrupt a panel with former Google engineer James Damore. The university did nothing to stop or address this behavior. No one was punished or disciplined.

For me, the years that followed were marked by continued harassment. I’d find flyers around campus of me with a Pinocchio nose. I was spit on and threatened by passersby while walking to class. I was informed by students that my colleagues were telling them to avoid my classes. And, of course, I was subjected to more investigation.

I wish I could say that what I am describing hasn’t taken a personal toll. But it has taken exactly the toll it was intended to: an increasingly intolerable working life and without the protection of tenure.

This isn’t about me. This is about the kind of institutions we want and the values we choose. Every idea that has advanced human freedom has always, and without fail, been initially condemned. As individuals, we often seem incapable of remembering this lesson, but that is exactly what our institutions are for: to remind us that the freedom to question is our fundamental right. Educational institutions should remind us that that right is also our duty.

Portland State University has failed in fulfilling this duty. In doing so it has failed not only its students but the public that supports it. While I am grateful for the opportunity to have taught at Portland State for over a decade, it has become clear to me that this institution is no place for people who intend to think freely and explore ideas.

This is not the outcome I wanted. But I feel morally obligated to make this choice. For ten years, I have taught my students the importance of living by your principles. One of mine is to defend our system of liberal education from those who seek to destroy it. Who would I be if I didn’t?

    Peter Boghossian

Yoho: One is reminded of Mr Poghossian in Gurdjieff’s book, “Meetings with Remarkable Men”. Both fine men.

As Lao Tzu said, Close the schools. The people will benefit a hundred fold. Is there even one of these leftist professors whom I could not crush in debate?

    • Soul Forensics September 10, 2021 at 9:52 pm #

Boghossian is a hero. I’ve long admired him.

    • MaryQueen September 10, 2021 at 10:24 pm #

I’ve been an admirer of his for a long time. This is inevitable; and sadly, the second ethics professor just today that I’ve seen lose their job.

The other one was due to the refusal of the jab.

      Portland. It would be Portland.

      Yeah…what he said….

  98. Yohannon September 10, 2021 at 9:24 pm #

Of course his approach above is only for elite students who have already been formed. Endless debate leads to the notion that truth is relative. Or not findable or even non-existent.

He was on Tucker’s show and said he’d have a communist and a libertarian in the economics department. Really? So in America 2.0, we’re just going to shoot ourselves in the foot again? Both of those philosophies are mind poisons. False philosophies of existence, all about matter and not Man in himself. And thus, since economics should be a humanism, they even pervert economics. The more they clutch the cloak of “science” to their plague ridden bodies, the more false they become.

    • Soul Forensics September 10, 2021 at 10:02 pm #

“Endless debate leads to the notion that truth is relative. Or not findable or even non-existent.”

I disagree. Persistent debate shines light on sophistry, inversions, and lies. It’s especially effective at convincing uninformed minds since those jejune students are often influenced by whatever latest fad/ideology is in the air. Repetitive insistence on Truth, with concomitant attacks on how and why the opposing Wokery is mendacious, eliminates any intellectual pseudo-authority those noxious views might otherwise gain.

Of course, I’m speaking in a normal, classical university setting. It’s so far gone now that nothing will save it. Blow it up.

      • Proton September 10, 2021 at 10:10 pm #

I agree, nothing will save it and at this point it’s doing more harm than good. Has been for years. College is a low-down scam like the medical system, like defense expenditures, like so many other aspects of life.

      • Yohannon September 10, 2021 at 11:33 pm #

As I said, it’s for those who really belong at a university – a minority of those now attending. And those should already be formed. Otherwise, they’ll go crazy about some simplistic formula like communism or unfettered capitalism. Reinvent the dingy lightbulb.

Those properly formed can study other philosophies to sharpen their own understanding of what they’ve been given.

        • Soul Forensics September 10, 2021 at 11:53 pm #

Sure, and literacy, IQ, and high school results (if legitimately acquired) screening would automatically weed out those who can’t cut it..

But even highly intelligent 18 year-olds are often politically naive, and I see no problem — nay, only benefits — with offering both sides. Just as a historical investigation, I’d love to see this in any future university worth its time and money.

The Woke agenda is so pathetic, that, in a fair debate setting, it would be exposed mercilessly, and those same smart 18 year-olds would have a lifelong appreciation for the tradition of teaching they’d be getting, plus a permanent dismissal of any similarly positioned mind-scams in the future.

          • Yohannon September 11, 2021 at 12:40 am #

Well I want a different kind of Culture and that means a different kind of Man.

I wouldn’t let kids have phones and be able to access pornography – because they will. They’ll grow out of it? Maybe not. Likewise with mind cancers like Capitalism, Communism, Wahabism, and Feminism. Young adults destined to be of the Elite learn about all of them, so as better to protect society. But even then there may be casualties. The Door would always be open to leave. Getting back in? Well that would be harder.

As has been said, in spiritual life, the coward is often the winner. He knows his weakness and avoids the temptation. This is alien to our civilization and it is corrupt and one would expect it to be – even if one knew nothing more than this from afar.

The Communists wanted a different kind of Man too, the peanut gallery shrieks. As if they were ever viable. As if that ever accorded with human nature. They don’t even believe in human nature, so how can they nurture it in general and in specific individuals?

          • Anthea September 11, 2021 at 5:29 pm #

Yohannon, this “different kind of man” you want is a man (and woman) who knows who he is: the Divine in microcosm. This “knowing” is at a level above intellect. I don’t think it can be accessed without a solid intellectual foundation–both in terms of a native gift and proper training, and is probably in itself a native gift that requires training–or at least some degree of encouragement–to develop.

Not everyone has this, just as not everyone can be taught math, or even taught to read and write. (I have some personal experience in this matter.) The intellect is basically a machine like a computer for apprehending truth, processing sense data to arrive at conclusions. In quite a number of people, the machine does not function.

Our present educational system most takes a wrecking ball to this piece of machinery, feeding it false data from which it will draw false conclusions, and distorting its logical methodology. From an intellectual standpoint, consorting with most of the people in our society is a lot like visiting Pick and Pull. If you’ve never been to one of these establishments, I can tell you that it is dismaying; acres upon acres of wrecks. Except with humans you have the impression that the vehicle never did run right.

Conventional religion too has mostly been unhelpful in developing the higher faculty of “knowing,” which can be taught in only the most limited kind of way. And even that presupposes that the seed of the native “knowing” is already present. I.e., at a certain level, you can’t teach someone anything they don’t already know.

Your “different kind of Man” exists, but not in very large numbers.

A defense of Orthodoxy: People are programmed by their culture. In my ideal society, it would be no different. But consider! Does it really not matter if one is programmed by godly, god fearing, patriotic people or by leftist crazies who are waiting for you to pick up the wrong toy so they can sex change you? I think it makes all the difference in the world. It’s still “unconscious” life, but one accords with child’s higher nature and the other does not. Many will never rise to full consciousness, but they can be healthy, happy, and even holy to some degree. And the nation will flourish being comprised of such people, lead by those who are conscious.

        • Soul Forensics September 11, 2021 at 2:09 am #

Morality starts before conception. Call it ‘reincarnation’ if you like, or call it divine grace by an indifferent cosmic consciousness, it doesn’t really matter for the purposes of this discussion. It’s starkly apparent to the mother, either by overt kicks or deep intuition, that each child is different during those mysterious nine months.

Then right after birth! Doris Lessing wrote a frightening short novel, “The Fifth Child”, about an evil kid, also right after conception but also into his (I believe) eighth year if I recall, from the terrified mother’s perspective. One of the reasons the novel was so chilling was that it offered no solace as to what she might have done wrong. Lessing took great pains to show that the mother and father and the other four kids were normal, and to a degree, even boring.

Then there’s the more mundane, but extremely important factor of raising kids the right way. This is where young people’s morality is often going to be shaped, during the first six years of life. If inferior blood lines don’t doom the kid, an absent father or hectoring mother can finish them off. The opposite, of course, is true. Children brought up in a house where the parents value Art, show love to all other members of the family, and give them a spiritual direction (mostly by example), means the kid will have a much better chance of being that “different kind of Man”.

All this is to say that by the time an 18 year-old reaches university, he or she already has their morality largely in place. Students who’ve already passed these prior tests shouldn’t be overprotected as if they were fragile and weak and incapable of resisting (e.g) pornography and mind fucks. They’re going to meet those challenges in ‘the real world’ sooner than later, anyway.

Students, however, DO need excellent pedagogical direction, which, automatically right there, invalidates almost all university classes.

          • Yohannon September 11, 2021 at 12:23 pm #

Ah, at last, another Doris Lessing (the Sufi) fan on board.

Here on poor Shikasta, we are fighting Shammat (of Puttoria they crow) who established themselves here long ago. They have evil down to a science but it’s also their religion. Yet among us, Brahmvidya or the science of God, is long forgotten and now mocked by the ignorant.

So much can go wrong in the raising of youth. So what did we do? Allow Shammat to raise them in public schools.

“Endless debate leads to the notion that truth is relative. Or not findable or even non-existent. ”

      So annoying!!!
But what, sir, is your alternative?
Let me guess: “Just listen to me!”
