Have you stopped to ask yourself: what exactly are the USA’s interests in Ukraine? The answer: just about none whatsoever if you discount all the effort and capital expended there the past decade to make it a problem for our designated hobgoblin, Russia. During these eight years, since the Maidan “revolution,” Ukraine was an ATM for “Joe Biden’s” family, an inconvenient embarrassment for the US State Department, which has not been able to cover it up.
In fact, their first attempt to do so — the seditious maneuvers leading to Trump impeachment no. 1 — only shined a light onto the dishonest activities of US Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch and her State Department colleagues, in collusion with George Soros’s Atlantic Council, to conceal their involvement in Ukraine’s corrupt political affairs. This gang included agent provocateurs rotating in-and-out of government such as Jake Sullivan and Antony Blinken, now the two top foreign policy officers in “Joe Biden’s” government (National Security Advisor and Secretary of State).
Donald Trump enabled more mischief by sending what he proudly called “lethal aid” in the form of Stinger missiles and other arms to Ukraine in a foolish attempt to out-hawk his predecessor, Mr. Obama, whose main weapon against Ukraine was Vice-president Biden and his grifting family. Poor Mr. Trump apparently had to do something to prove that he was not “Putin’s puppet,” and that something was to give Ukraine tacit permission to bombard the breakaway Donbas region on Russia’s border. Was that supposed to not have consequences?
Throughout all this, NATO has acted as a conduit for arming and training a 400,000-troop Ukrainian army, a violation of several formal agreements between Russia and the West. NATO, otherwise, does not have the will, or even the means, to engage militarily with Russia. And America, at the head of NATO, has so far refrained from starting World War Three by way of sending US troops or war-planes into Ukraine. So, Russia has gone about the plodding business of neutralizing Ukraine’s trouble-seeking military and rearranging the map so that Ukraine won’t be able to act as a proxy antagonist in America’s ill-conceived campaign to destroy Mr. Putin and his country.
The operation will probably end this month. My guess is that Mr. Zelensky will be allowed to remain president of what remains on the map, minus Donbas and the region along the Black Sea coast from Mariupol to Odessa. Mr. Zelensky will not have a functioning military to make trouble with. Other patches of Western Ukraine may be distributed among Poland, Moldova, Romania, and Hungary, leaving a large rump of Ukraine between Lvov and the Dnieper River devoted mostly to the growing of wheat. A stable, agricultural Ukraine will be a benefit to a hungry world, while it will no longer be in a position to launch hostilities or be of much use as a money-laundering facility. In short, with some luck, Ukraine will cease to be a threat to world peace.
Ukraine may have been “Joe Biden’s” last opportunity to screw things up on the world scene. As the military conflict resolves, Ukraine can’t be used by the White House as a shield to divert America’s attention from the political cancer of Biden family corruption, and the systemic illness of the nation’s institutions. Merrick Garland may not be able to contain the open case against Hunter Biden to mere rinky-dink tax violations — and if he tries to limit the US Attorneys in charge of the case, he will be setting himself up for an obstruction of justice rap some months from now. The laptop is out now, too many people have copies of the hard drive, and some are working diligently to make the mess of it more easily searchable. So, expect much more to come.
It won’t be easy for the Democratic Party to get rid of “Joe Biden.” Nobody can feature Kamala Harris in the oval office, and were she to somehow gracefully remove herself from the scene, next-in-line would be Nancy Pelosi who, in addition to being long-in-the-tooth, seems to be literally drunk half the time in her public appearances. And behind her: Patrick Leahy, Senate President Pro Tem, who is nearly as senile and incoherent as “Joe Biden.”
Lots of other spooky things are churning meanwhile in the zeitgeist. Overnight, with his blundering sanctions, “Joe Biden” killed the little credibility left in the shreds of Bretton Woods and gave a green light for Russia to start a world-wide move to gold-backed currencies. That could easily turn the current US dollar inflation from an annualized 8 percent to a runaway hyperinflation, where prices double in weeks or days. It’s becoming ever clearer that special counsel John Durham means business and many a swamp creature must be quivering in its burrow awaiting indictment. The controversy over the 2020 election will prove to be not as over as many have hoped and imagined. And we await developments on the after-effects of all those vaxxes and boosters carried out all over Western Civ. These dangerous currents amount to a huge riptide in global events that will carry many people and whole societies out to sea.

I recall commenting on this blog before that technology has given the media, and those who control it, either directly of by buying the services, the ability to have eliminated the truth and replaced it with spin. Perhaps not totally correct because at least for now there are still snippets of truth that are still available to we the people, but not for long, I fear.
For me at least it was totally appalling when television screens started popping up in convenience stores, in waiting rooms, and tiny little ones in gas pumps, and of course in everyone’s hand and even strapped to their wrists. Total control and surveillance may not be here yet, but total and constant influence certainly is.

The US can still cause quite a bit of harm as demonstrated in the coup this weekend in Pakistan. How destabilizing a nuclear power makes any of this any better is above my paygrade but Pakistan has now been removed from the playing field as it tends to its upcoming Civil War.
Here at home, we have two groups of people now: group A are the preppers, truthers and libertarians that are now bracing for impact. They’ve got their seatbelts secured and their helmets are on snug. Group B are the Dreamwalkers. They are animated living beings that are trapped in a dream world. They are 100% clueless as to any of the consequences coming our way.
Hyperinflation followed by deflation followed by famine could all be here before the midterm election.

I disagree with your assessment of group C. There are some Doom Porn YouTubers out there that preach all kinds of chaos and do so from the comfort of their home in a Blue city in a Blue state. Nearly all of these guys block my comments as I continue to point out to their viewers that if they believed anything they were saying then they wouldn’t be preaching to the rest of us from NYC, LA, San Francisco or Chicago.
People demonstrate what they actually believe by their actions. Actions speak louder than words.

I enjoyed living at the beach in SoCal in an artist community where I didn’t have to do anything other than occasionally open up my gallery to the public.
It was great living in a tourist hotspot. It was wonderful having 6 independent breweries within a 15 minute walk. I very much enjoyed having Uber & Lyft and not having to own a car. I loved that I had dozens of fancy restaurants to choose from.
I also loved that my neighbors were the people you see on TV every day. I enjoyed dating actresses, models, dancers, news anchors, and all those tourists having their “all girl” getaway. It was paradise.
I gave every bit of that up to live in a rural area in the Rust Belt. No more Uber & Lyft. No more fancy restaurants. No models to date. Instead, I spend time with my chainsaw and wood chipper. Instead, I use my rototiller, hoe, and rake. Instead, I prep for myself and my neighbors (though they don’t know it).
Berlin in the 1920’s was the most decadent place on Earth much like California is today. Anyone that got themselves out of Berlin by 1933 never regretted having done so.

hey nickle man–spent a few years in newport/balboa–girls everywhere–when your a 6’3″ football superstar back in the day girls everywhere–then moved north to bishop,ca–got married,kids the whole deal,moved to utah for 22 years–the best place in the world in my opinion–got dee vorced-still friends with the ex–her family has two ranches in owens valley–we all wonder if we can defend the ranches but with only one road in or out we think so with friends,family–moved back to bishop 13 years ago–the two biggest mtn ranges in the lower 48 will help defend–we are as prepared as possible–son a heli pilot and a turbine prop jet to get the rest of family out of socal–it blows me away to even talk like this…the hiway north, south of olancha can be blocked with one semi truck were the canal goes under the hiway from west to east–the sheriff nodded when i asked him..my neighbor is a fema guy–showed me the instructions—everything will be shut down in place,only movement is first responders,military,and truckers–got to move food but i think most truckers will just go home–if you want to be able to move, get a CDL–cdl holders will still be able to travel to get to their trucks is the thinking–again it blows me away to talk like this–many of my friends in socal are very nervous but i am sure they will do nothing….

The kind where you get up in mid morning to throw sticks for the dog on the beach, come home for a glass of the best vintage Northern Cal has to offer, then soak in the Jacuzzi in preparation for an evening with the latest supermodel on your schedule?
100 to one? 1000 to one? vs. a day spent behind the mule and single bottom plow turning the manure into the soil in anticipation of a corn crop next fall? As long as the rains come.

Since I don’t know how you got “firmly ensconced” in group C, it’s difficult to advise you. People have to have money to live, and maybe you have a great job that you’d have to give up to get out of the city. If so, explore your work-from-home options, and/or whether you could move to the country while remaining within commuting distance of your job.
Usually, where there’s a will there’s a way, but escaping from the city requires a real commitment–even a real passion. Country life pretty much has to be your dream: the big garden, the critters (chickens, goats, pigs, a good dog), the wildlife, the woodstove with the need to cut a lot of firewood, the tramping in the woods, etc.
You may still have time to make such a dream come true, if that’s what you really want.
Lots of city folks stuck on the bus watching wide-eyed as “Joe Biden” drives over the cliff.

Thanks for that! There are some of us who know exactly what’s happening, and what’s coming, but are stuck because of lack of money, disability, etc. I don’t care what anyone says, you need $$$ to be a prepper, and a lot of us can barely pay our rent. A private plane to get out of SoCal? Really?
I suggest you all read FerFal’s book, “Surviving the Economic Collapse”, written by a guy who actually experienced collapse in Argentina, a guy who couldn’t get out of the city. Read about how people who lived in the country got tortured and killed by gangs from the city, looking for their hidden stashes of gold. Read about how you can’t stay awake 24/7 to defend your homestead from the gangs that will be looking for you. Lots of real, practical info in that book.

My niece worked on a ranch up in some California mountains for awhile.
The woman who owned the place also hired illegal Mexicans to do chores.
They were very intimidating to my niece and she quit that job.

I moved to the country twenty-one years ago, bought a cheap fixer-upper house, and raised three kids as a single mom with a poverty-level income for a family of four.
It can be done.
When I recently sold my house, it was still a fixer-upper–though I had made many improvements–so it sold for pretty darned cheap. I think it will be as much a blessing for the family that bought it as it was for me. They too were looking to escape the city, and my former house’s location is nearly ideal for that, while remaining within commuting distance of the city.
The buyers are a Mexican family, and the mom is the only adult who speaks English at least moderately well. Hubby is very able when it comes to the building trades. They have four kids. The Hispanic population in the area is miniscule. I’d say this family has a lot of grit.
The sale was a FSBO, so the mom had to work her way through all the details of the contract in a foreign language and run it by her husband and Grandpa (who paid cash for the house) after translating everything into Spanish.
I talked with several potential buyers who were whites. It seemed like, though they were in some cases desperate to get out of the city, they were daunted by the prospect of having to any work or deal with any inconvenience or hardship.
To put it another way, they were scared. Good thing they backed off. Country people don’t respect that.
Hell, when I moved into the house 21 years ago, I had to haul water. There was no city water at that time–one reason why the house was cheap.
I have to admire this Mexican family. What they’re doing takes guts, and I’ll bet they don’t have a lot of money, either.
If a person has a crappy job in the city, they might just as well have a crappy job in the country. You may not have the money to be a serious prepper, but at least you’ll be outside the city and probably living in a real community.
I reckon they might have miscalculated there, as they often do. The Maoris are a formidable mob, highly recommended movie “Once Were Warriors”

This is very true, Islander, and too often forgotten. So many of us are not in a position to fortify ourselves against what may come. The American (AKA NATO) goal of starting* the war in Ukraine (after eight years of bombing and 14,000 civilian casualties in adjoining Nuvorussia) is to create a quagmire for Russia and use up as many
cost+++ American weapons as possible while providing a shield for total economic warfare against Russia. (Facts have little chance against our 100% state propaganda, but at least they should be repeated)
The O-Biden plan is to shoot yourself in the foot as many times as possible before moving on to more vital organs. For Europe that process is well under way. Pump prices of $10.00 per gallon for diesel in Germany is a minor little indicator.
The USA /NATO has the capability of keeping the Ukraine slaughter going for months unless Russia gives up on its goal of neutering the Ukrainian state and has to conquer the remnants and de-Nazify the hold-outs.
Problem is, if you want to cleanse the Ukraine of its hard core Nazi elements you have to come to the USA and exterminate the Biden Crime Family and close it’s Ukrainian ATM.
It is a situation reminiscent of the way Germany was manouveured into invading Poland in 1939.
Britain and France were encouraging Polish anti-German belicosity – Poland was eyeing a land grab in German Silesia – while Poland was obstructionist and destructive in Danzig and carrying out anti-ethnic-German ethnic cleansing operations in the areas that had been taken from Germany by Versailles (no national self determination for Germans!)

Seeing Trump beset by jackals in everything he tried to do helped me to realize that no single person can save us. The difference between the two groups noted above is that the genuinely awake and aware set about their tasks as more or less lone individuals, while the woke act with a hive mind (abetted by their clueless followers, many of whom are along for the ride and don’t even know what it is they’re supporting).
You can see this hive mind at work in the way they’ve infiltrated absolutely everything – business, schools, churches, corporations – and have done so down to the local level and up to the highest. Once they reach a certain level in any entity, they begin to empty it of its original function and fill it with . . . wokeness.
What do we have, and what have we done, that is in any way comparable? Their money and their minions are at work day and night, everywhere you can look, to bring about the world they want. Meanwhile, we’re raising families, going to work on time, trying to start little businesses. These are without a doubt the stuff of which a real life is made, but they exist in a different world from the one in which the woke operate.
The only hope we (think) we have is that someone powerful will come to save us. But we’ve already seen that anyone powerful and determined, who is not in the club, will find it nearly impossible to accomplish anything – and what is accomplished is easily and quickly undone, as Biden negated Trump’s executive orders. We have to first learn to understand our enemy, and then act on that understanding even if it’s painful and disruptive. I hope we have the will for it, but it can only happen by enlisting people in the same sort of long term effort on every front that the woke have made.

I wasn’t fooled last time, but I do believe he tried in spite of everything. It doesn’t really matter, since no one person is going to fix this, whether they’re sincere in wanting to or not. I think you have to realize that many people who voted for Trump simply voted for the lesser of the evils – and he was decidedly that. I’m perfectly willing to give him credit insofar as he deserves it, and he certainly does deserve a measure of credit. But this idea that any one person can save us, or that there are white hats working unseen in the background, is a dangerous fantasy.

We had a record-breaking snowfall here this morning in Portland. We woke to 2″ covering all the surfaces including the very loaded down blossoming trees.
I bring it up because I believe as the “war” winds down and begins to lose people’s attention (as it has) they will crank up the “climate change” rhetoric.
As the narrative is centered on the “change” being to hotter what happens if it begins getting noticeably colder? The aren’t organizing the controls around that though *they* get the famine and controlling the energy thing for a bit.
Eventually though the cultural-political-financial thing spins out of their control because there won’t be enough energy to maintain it.
I don’t think there’s any doubt that they have to keep a state of emergency ongoing as far as conditions in the material world and in the mental space, where people must be kept in a state of terror. From their point of view, the more “emergencies” they can keep going at once, the more helpless people become in the face of assaults from so many fronts. Every time they divert our attention from one deliberately created emergency to another, they’re enabled to work behind the scenes to make permanent all of the restrictions they claimed were just temporary. And, of course, they plan the next “emergency” for when our attention returns to that from which it was diverted.
When the Ukraine “emergency” is over (and I do believe, from reading about conditions on the ground from people who seem reliable, that Russia has the upper hand) we’ll still have Covid and a few other things they’ve cooked up to justify their harvesting of all of us. Unlike our opponents, we don’t have sleeper cells everywhere, and indoctrinated drones infesting every institution, to do our bidding. Instead of beginning to address this problem and realizing what we’re up against, we’re looking for powerful saviors to come and fix it all. Some of these “saviors” may be well meaning, and may even lend a hand, but it’s going to take a whole lot more than that.

Good analogy from you both. Patrick Buchanan’s “The Unnecessary War” is extensively footnoted. Poland was ruled by a dictator (pretty popular in Europe in that era), and he persisted in flouting the Germans. Not a prudent move.
The BIGGEST refugee flow in Europe after WW2 ended were the Germans leaving Prussia (Silesia?) and East Prussia (Konigsberg). Many settled in West Germany and helped propel the “German economic miracle”. In 1945, not much sympathy for displaced Germans. Quite understandable, might I add, as some one whose ancestors suffered 3.5 years of German occupation. Unlike the wimpy French, the Greeks, and Serbs, resisted and pinned down German troops, and suffered greatly for it. And the Poles, suffered greatly as well under the German occupation. In 1945, without the use of caterpillars, just maps, the Red Army magically “lifted” Poland and moved it 150 miles west. Prussia/Silesia (German) became Poland. Konigsberg became Kaliningrad (USSR/Russia). And L’wow, Poland became Lvov, Ukraine SSR, even though it was a pluralistic city and not very Ukrainian, let alone Russian. No matter, Stalin wanted it, and he took it.
As in all wars, the common people suffered. In this case, the German refugees. But given the havoc their compatriots wreaked throughout Europe, well, at least they survived to help create West Germany.
Are the Poles going to welcome the Ukrainian refugees and invite them create a greater new Poland? Somehow, I doubt it. The Western Ukranians will be left to flounder or become wards of the EU, and the Eastern Ukranians and Black Sea Ukranians will revert to their historical place as Ukrainians in Russia.
Russia will continue to slowly improve, but become a lot more dependent on China, which in the long term is not good for Russia. But when one has an existential crisis today, one must confront it, and once it is resolved, then worry about tomorrow.
Russians will never match the material living standards of Americans circa 2000-2020. But they can hit America circa 1960 with some high tech thrown in, and that’s not a bad place to be. Add in more social cohesion, and their future is hopeful in the near term, after the war. Yes, but I’ve always canned. I’ve just been scared of pressure canners.
Don’t feel bad. My first pickles were inedible. The recipe called for alum! Try a different recipe, or get a kimchi fermenting jar.
Top Secret…Dill Pickle recipe.
1/2 gallon Mason Jar. Put 3 sprigs of dill weed in bottom along with 2 or 3 cloves of fresh garlic. Fill jar with 2-4″ pickles/pickling cukes. You can add a few hot peppers for heat. I use jalapeno’s, hot yellow wax, or a few cayennes for desired heat. Couple more garlic cloves but leave some head space.
Add one cup white vinegar, one cup water and 3 tablespoons of canning salt. If you need more liquid to cover, more of either is fine. Your choice. Flip jar a few times to mix the salt, vin and water. You can use regular canning lids/with a ring or the plastic Ball caps that you can buy. I think the regular lids with a ring will keep them longer.
Set in the sun on your picnic table for a couple days. You must monitor your pickles daily. Flip them in the morn and eve. Turn the jars 180 degrees when you do. The sun is south of my home during the day. The more sun time (hrs.) that the pickles are exposed, the faster they will cure. In July/August here it is 85 ish during the day, 50 ish at night.
The beauty of this recipe is that you can open the jar and try a pickle to see how cured/crisp it is. If not ready, recap and leave another day or 2. To much sun/heat will turn the pickles to shit. I can say that I have never done that. Monitor your work. A crispy pickle is the goal.
Once the pickles are cured, put them in the fridge for a couple weeks. Then they can be eaten. I have a fridge in the garage where I do this. After the pickles are taken out of the fridge I have stored them in my cool/dark garage 35-65 degrees or in my root cellar for up to 2 years.
I literally make 8-10 gallons every year and people who are gifted them beg for them…every year.
If you want to make quarts or pints, just adjust the salt, vinegar and water accordingly or just eliminate the water.
Get fresh pickles if you can and soak them in ice water while you are stuffing jars. Stuffing pickles the big jars is an art.
This is the only time I will ever put this recipe on line. No more bath canning pickles. Use the sun.
I sit outside on the patio and drink beer while I do it.

Between me and my daughter, we have ten tomato varieties that we started from seed, and of course we’ll have onions, carrots, lettuce, leeks, green beans, squash, okra, and I don’t know what all else. After the coup in 2014 a lot of the Ukrainian army defected to the separatist side or refused to kill the citizens of Donbass.

They were armed, financed and trained by the United States, Great Britain, Canada and France. There were more than 19 nationalities.
These militias had been operating in the Donbass since 2014, with Western support. Even if one can argue about the term “Nazi,” the fact remains that these militias are violent, convey a nauseating ideology and are virulently anti-Semitic…[and] are composed of fanatical and brutal individuals. The best known of these is the Azov Regiment, whose emblem is reminiscent of the 2nd SS Das Reich Panzer Division, which is revered in the Ukraine for liberating Kharkov from the Soviets in 1943, before carrying out the 1944 Oradour-sur-Glane massacre in France.”

Stephan Bandera was quite the independent thinker – and actor.
I don’t believe it is possible to pigeonhole him one way or another. Throughout his colorful life he collaborated widely, with everyone from the NatSocs to the West Geman government to British Intelligence. The unifying thought only ever seems to have been independence for Ukraine and oppostion to the Soviet Judeo-Bolsheviks.

Makes you wonder how waging war against its own people using mercenaries would work out for the broke-ass US government–and in a country like the US. It seems to me that the mercenaries would accept a free plane ride here, collect their first paycheck, and disappear. Probably with a shit-ton of arms and ammunition. The temptation to take up residence along the seacost and set up shop in the underground economy would be almost irresistible.
Any mercenaries who couldn’t figure out something better (and more lucrative) to do than get shot at would probably be too stupid to be very effective militarily.

30 years ago in the Soviet military system women were allowed in the army , but were primarily limited to secretarial , communications , and other logistics support – type roles.
The only two combat arms women were allowed in were field medics , and sometimes snipers,
Sniper is primarily a defensive role anyway. You deploy numbers of snipers when you are losing , and being a top – shelf athlete is not a high priority in that defensive / static role.
Anyway , as I said , snipers are something of a niche , something of an exception .
So as a battlefield role for girls , we are back to primarily combat medics.
Gutsy I think , because in Soviet practice Medics aren’t armed.
You are running around the battlefield with a bag full of bandages and syringes , not a rifle.
Maybe someone will informally sell you a surplus pistol ?
Here again size is not such a critical matter ; you aren’t lugging around a rifle , a machine gun , or a squad mortar. Grenades , or lots of heavy ammo.
Small size is , if anything , a plus.
You are running around the battlefield like anyone else , but unlike anyone else your job isn’t killing the enemy.
Avoiding getting shot by the enemy you could say IS part of your job.
You aren’t going to help many wounded if you busy getting shot yourself.

Russia’s military action in Ukraine is meant to put an end to the US-dominated world order, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has explained. Washington has been seeking supremacy by imposing ad-hoc rules and violating international law, he claimed, in an interview aired by Russian television on Monday.
He was referring to America’s attempts to impose its own so-called “rules-based international order,” which have met with strong resistance from Moscow and China.

“This domination is built on gross violations of international law and under some rules, which they are now hyping so much and which they make up on a case-by-case basis,” he added.

I have heard points and counterpoints about how radioactive the exclusion zone actually is. Some people say that in many ways the radioactivity has decreased to somewhat elevated background levels. So it makes sense that wildlife and trees thrive throughout the exclusion zone. Others say that if the soil is disturbed clouds of radioactivity can easily be stirred up. Some are saying Russian troops recently stirred up clouds of radiation there. Likely both views are part of the truth. I tend to think ruins can actually be very beautiful and magical. Like a story waiting to be remembered and told again.

The farmland has been transformed into strip malls, office parks and housing developments. The industries that remain are clients of the Defense Dept., massive corporations like General Dynamics and P&W aircraft. What a mess it is.

We can see from your account of the situation that he didn’t need to hire a pharmacist, since his solution was to involve family members in the business. It appears that he most likely needed someone to bag up the prescriptions, ring the register, and answer the phone.
Common observation will tell you that the small businessman or woman rarely aspires to expand the business into an empire. I’ve known many people in business, and I don’t recall ever encountering a single instance of this.
I’ve known small businessmen who have opened a second location–having identified and underserved second market. I’ve also known of business that grew quite large, due to landing at least one really big account. Sometimes Hallmark needs to find a printer. If you’re the guy with the kind of capabilities they need, you’ll get the contract.
For the most part, small businesses are started by guys (or gals) who have identified a need or want in their community that is a good fit with their own interests and abilities. Maybe you love all things related to the internal combustion engine, and you would love to own a race track. Maybe you are thrilled by the gustatory and artistic possibilities offered by baked goods, and you can see that no one is offering your community these delights.
Take my own case, for example. Almost all commercially produced “soaps” and shampoos are disgusting products that are harmful to skin and hair. This is because they are not soaps, but harsh detergents. I thought people might like to be able to buy real soap–you know, something that won’t give you acne or eczema. I thought they might like them scented with high-quality fragrances, instead of stinky synthetic el-cheapo ones, and they might like their products to be beautiful, rather like having some of the crown jewels of Austria displayed in your eupehmism.
Sure enough, people did want these products, and it turns out that I have a talent for producing that type of thing, along with a passion for formulating the best possible stuff.
Most small businesses are just guys/gals who are using their talents to serve their community. (It’s nice to be able to buy new tires when you need them.) Sometimes they can be of even further service to their communities by employing people. If such business people are industrious, they’ll enjoy both financial rewards and the respect and appreciation of the rest of the community.
In my view, this is capitalism. The big conglomerates are not capitalist enterprises, but mostly quasi-governmental enterprises whose size and success is conferred by government intrusion into markets in the form of monopoly, subsidy, and regulation.

Well the worst didn’t happen.
Two hours later I was walking out of the hospital .
( That’s the shortest stay under anesthesia I have ever had. )
I spent that afternoon smoking two packs of cigarettes and showing my ass on CFN.
Then came five days ( ? ) of Hell .
It wasn’t so much that it hurt , it really didn’t hurt that bad ,
but I didn’t want to eat anything , anything I drank tasted awful.
I couldn’t lay down because every time I did it felt like I had pneumonia and my lungs were full of snot , so couldn’t breathe , and I didn’t have sufficient energy to sit up.
That felt like being a turtle pinned on its back.
But I couldn’t sleep sitting up.
I couldn’t smoke.
One of the worse parts of being sick is you can never do so alone ,
but no one I have ever stayed with likes a house as cold as I like it.
And I have never spent time in a hospital that this didn’t eventually happen ;

The reason they do this is because, when blacks begin to shop at malls in any signigicant numbers, said malls begin to experience fights–often proceeding to the level of riots–vandalism, theft, and muggings and carjackings in the parking lots. At least two malls in my area closed because of this. Another area mall has instituted curfews for young people and rules that youths cannot be unaccompanied by an adult. I think the main reason that so little effort is made to punish black crime is because it would be too costly; the number of blacks who would have to be jailed would be immense, and counties and municipalities simply can’t afford that. They can afford to stop black drivers to discourage their presence, and they can afford to give them traffic tickets.
My guess is that you yourself are a respectable black man. But I’ll bet you don’t live in a black neighborhood, and if you have any sense at all, you don’t want blacks coming into your neighborhood in any numbers.

Well, now it’s come back with a vengeance. I went to get x-rays, and learned it’s not my back. It seems it’s been my left hip, which has severe osteoarthritis and is bone on bone. That’s why I’ve had severe lower back pain. Anyway, the pain isn’t going away this time, so I’ve had to schedule a hip replacement operation for May 9th. I hate hospitals and the medical profession in general. I’m not happy, but if I think positive, I’ll be all right. I’m having it done at the New England Baptist hospital, which has the reputation of being the best orthopedic hospital in New England. This is where pro athletes go, including the Patriots, if they need surgery.
I know JHK had a hip replaced and developed problems, but I also know of others and they were fine. I’m told knee replacement is a lot worse than a hip replacement, but I’ll have a relatively long recuperation period and lots of physical therapy. Getting old is such a bitch!

So I went to church this eve. An older couple were in front of me masked.
