So, you’re feeling down and blue about the Woke Luciferian madness shading our American life under its baleful bat-wings? A lot of my friends and loved ones are down and blue. At this darkest of dark hours, I have some advice for you. Say ‘okay’ to whatever shade the universe is throwing on you. Rise! Go with it. Run with it and mount it. Ride it until you exhaust the beast that has made itself your enemy. Ride it until it goes to ground and whimpers. Because that is how it ends and you get your life back.

The frightful swans, black, white, and gray, are circling in the sky like those old air-traffic jams above the runways of O’Hare in bad weather. They are looking to land, and as they do, they will change everything. Enough people around the country will finally get their minds right. They will come back to themselves wondering… where have I been? This is what is coming at us (let’s count the ways):

The Covid-19 spell breaks. The beast thought it was a good idea to deprive millions of their livelihoods just to get its way and force them to submit to a medical experiment conceived in the utmost bad faith. You say your “vaccine” is defeating the plague that you schemed to create and beset the world with? We know exactly what you did. We know that most of the people getting sick now are the “vaccinated.” Look what happened in Israel. Too far to see? Look right here in Vermont. Your “vaccine” makes people sick. Soon, it will be self-evident everywhere that this “vaccine” is just another side of your boutique sickness.

Meanwhile, you’ve cleverly destroyed medicine itself by forcing the firings of nurses, doctors, and the people who clean up the hospitals. The people will not forgive you for this reckless and craven stupidity. And, of course, nobody knows the long-term effects of your jabbing spree. Has every vaxed-up person got a controlled demolition underway in their organs and blood vessels? Why are there suddenly a striking number of heart attacks and strokes tallied in Great Britain? Concerning, ya think? They’re counting, at least. In America, we’re not even tracking. This now-sinister enterprise called “The Science” doesn’t really want to see any numbers, and if any happen to come up, its minions like to play games with the math, which can tell any story they want it to.

Suddenly, as if from nowhere an energy crisis is upon us — but you knew it was there all along, or you should have known. Things don’t work well when the fossil fuels get scarce or pricey or have to come from so far away that getting them is beyond your control. When these things happen, everything you need costs more and some things quit working altogether.

The EU bureaucrats thought they would force a dozen countries to go “green” by sheer force of will. They thought that blocking the Nord Stream 2 pipeline — designed to bring Russian natgas to the West — was a good idea. “Joe Biden’s” first act in office was to shut down work on the Keystone pipeline. Look now, there’s color in the treetops and the temperatures are falling. That frost on the pumpkin isn’t so charming when there’s also frost inside your windowpanes. The lights may be going out in your house, but that will finally switch on the light in your brain. You’ve been played.

The global economy of interdependent super-systems is breaking apart. It seemed like a good idea at the time when the beast put it together… the Lexus and the Olive Tree and all that reassuring bullshit… and now times have changed. Now the supply lines are choking on their own hyper-complexity as each nation in the global “community” has to contend with its own bad decisions and the fragilities they have exposed. Chinese factories don’t work so well without Australian coal. Here’s an idea: maybe someday Australia will get back to work and learn how to make something with its own coal. (America, are you alert?)

The beast has decimated small business everywhere, leaving the people at the mercy of gigantic chain stores — with their dying business model — and now they can’t get any stuff because it comes from so far away, and the ships transporting it can’t dock because there’s nobody to unload it and there aren’t enough truck drivers to take it anywhere, all because of the beast’s reckless and craven stupidity. Let me light your fire, America: think about making your own stuff again, maybe not as much as before, but, honestly, we don’t need ten-foot-tall inflatable Santas and a lot of other plastic crap.

Sooner or later the capital markets are going to see how badly the beast has been playing them and the shock will make them roll over. The markets will reach a painful insight: that there is, after all, a direct relationship between capital and what people do on-the-ground in their daily lives — either honestly and earnestly making things, and usefully serving their fellow human beings, or else becoming a multitude of Hunter Bidens, moving from one grift to the next in a haze of drugs, making nothing of value and serving no one. That clarifying bolt of insight will, alas, leave a lot of people broke and just a little farther along, as the old gospel song goes, they will understand why.

We’re in for another wave of invasion down on the US-Mexican border. This one, with hundreds of thousands marching north, will make the previous episode at Del Rio, Texas, look like a mere yoga class in comparison. Is there any doubt that this is happening because the figures behind the phantom “Joe Biden” want it to happen? The “optics” are already atrocious, but how do you think it will play with ever more Americans thrown out of work, and the prices of food, home heating, and gasoline surging upward, and as citizens are hassled at every turn to show their vaccine papers (while the border-jumpers get free bus tickets to Oshkosh, Bangor, and Spokane, along with a package of re-settlement goodies paid for with tax dollars)? It might be enough to even awaken the Woke. Played again!

How do you like your FBI and DOJ turning on the citizens of this land, you mothers of and fathers of schoolchildren getting the Woke business from the cadres of Saul Alinsky, Susan Rice, and Barack Obama? How dare you foment domestic terrorism in the town offices where the school boards meet? Were you just sucking it up before, all these months, while your kids were subjected to the Drag Queen Reading Hour and the malicious inanities of anointed MacArthur Fellow Ibram X. Kendi? Now is your time to rise and respond.  No, Merrick Garland, you depraved little prick, we will not stand this anymore. We rise against you! We dare you to send your goons in!

Are you ready, perhaps for war? Other nations may be, sensing America’s signal weakness. How would you rate our most recent military performance in Afghanistan? Does it give you a warm inclusive feeling to know that our top brass ordered flight suits for pregnant pilots? And that they are on vigilant watch to prevent any white privilege from contaminating our tactics and strategy? Things are heating up and pulsing red in the Strait of Taiwan. Will China dare to seize the island as they dared to seize Hong Kong a year ago? We probably won’t have to wait for long to find out.

Daunting times for sure. But they are our times and we must own them. A lot of this is truly beyond our control, but not what happens here in our country among ourselves. And one thing you can begin to do right away, right now, is to defy the regime that affects to be running your lives. We may even, very suddenly as events unspool, arrive at a surprising consensus that we need to get rid of it.

“…becoming a multitude of Hunter Bidens, moving from one grift to the next in a haze of drugs, making nothing of value and serving no one.”

Or in the case of Hunter Biden, getting serviced or “servicing” others. Geez, what a creep, it must run in the family genes.

The Jukes were tri-racial isolates. The Bidens are handsome White men. In other words, they have no excuse whatsoever.

I wouldn’t call them handsome. I’d call them shanty Irish criminals.

        • Paula D October 8, 2021 at 12:13 pm #

I heard that also. “He’s just being affectionate”.
And always from the people who screamed about Trump ”grabbing pussies”.
To me, watching the children and women being groped by the perve proved Trump’s point. If a man is rich and powerful he can get away with the kind of disgusting behavior that most men cannot.
Do you think that the parents standing there beaming as Ol’ Grope-n-Sniff fondled their children would have stood still for it if it was a homeless dude doing it?

I am very aware that I am “old fashioned”, and that my values and morals are outdated and are not “with the times”. That said, dear Paula; “men” do not do those things. Boys who have no self restraint do. Men are a bit too busy for that bullshit, we do not play high school effing games.

          • liber8tor October 9, 2021 at 7:16 am #

Wow..graphic photo. We never know if we are looking at Joe or his double. I believe the photo last week of Joe walking away from the press corp with his back turned was the double.

Been reading that kings and queens have been using double for a very long time.

          • SpeedyBB October 10, 2021 at 4:49 pm #

liber8tor – the subject of body doubles has always been intriguing. Stalin reportedly had several, and at least one of them was killed by a bomb in a bouquet presented to him at an event.

For a double to do a “Joe Biden” would seem to me to be a piece of cake for an accomplished character actor. Just have to tone it down. If that’s not too much to ask.

        • MaryQueen October 8, 2021 at 7:28 pm #

Coming from the Drag Queen Library Hour “pedophelia is just a disorder’ crowd, that doesn’t surprise me. I doubt at this point if they mind their own kids being molested by the mailman. Maybe it will set them on track for being an oh-so-successful ‘sex worker’ which is something to aspire to, now.

          • Paula D October 8, 2021 at 11:11 pm #

Pedophilia a ”disorder”? Oh no, absolutely not.
It is an alternative and positive identity and if you don’t validate and celebrate it, you are a bigot. How dare you impose your old, tired morals on men who are expressing their inner true selves?
            Just fuck the children.
            Oh yeah, that’s the policy.

          • MaryQueen October 9, 2021 at 9:40 am #

Oh, you’re right, Paula, thanks for correcting me. My take was so last year. I hadn’t realized the pedophiles had joined the ranks of the Oppressed Olympiads.

      • Billy Hill October 8, 2021 at 12:16 pm #

Biden’s “selection” actually occurred sometime prior to the Super Tuesday primary. Recall Bloomberg entered the race per his proclamation that he would get in — and Win!!!! –if Biden failed. In Boomberg’s mind it was only he or Biden (whom alone the propaganda polls reported could beat Trump) who had a chance to unseat the coarse interloper.

Somewhere along the line the people who actually run the show had a frank conversation with Mr. Bloomberg, who dutifully disappeared. One Representative Jim Clyburn endorsed Biden prior to Super Tuesday and voila! Or maybe abracadabra! On the strength of this weighty recommendation Biden won the Super Tuesday that Bloomberg had targeted as his own route to the presidency.

There is little doubt that the voting machines carried the day for Mr. Biden, who up to that point had received nothing but rejection slips.
The power brokers’ selection of the repugnant Kamala Harris — whose overt repulsiveness was confirmed by the party hoi polloi — ranks as one of the more cynical acts in American electoral history. As it is said, there are a thousand and one ways to say fuck you.

At that point the result was baked in the cake as Nancy Pelosi matter-of-factly announced sometime prior to the actual “election”.

Yes, they really do think we are that stupid.

        • abbybwood October 8, 2021 at 8:40 pm #

And didn’t Barack also tell Bernie to back off prior to Super Tuesday?

          Deals. Were. Made.

        • itchy scratchy bunghole October 9, 2021 at 12:21 pm #

If the voting machines were slanted towards Biden why did our owners allow a 50/50 Senate and bare majority House? You know anything the Government touches is a screwed up hot mess….. I don’t believe they could pull it off.

          • AngryFarmer October 9, 2021 at 1:29 pm #

            Because it wasn’t “the government”.

It was Democrat election workers / postal workers unions in 4 or 5 key cities.

Areas not controlled by Dems couldn’t pull it off.

        • Uncle Bob October 10, 2021 at 1:08 am #

Not to mention, you have to have a moron, lunatic, or extremely corrupt person as veep if you plan to get elected: it presumably keeps you from being impeached (though not necessarily from being shot so your ambitious veep can take the big chair; see Dallas, TX, 22 Nov. 1963). Harris is just another crooked pol, except she’s ugly, a known whore, a communist, mentally unbalanced, and a particularly vicious person.

          • SpeedyBB October 10, 2021 at 5:02 pm #

That was what was said about Tricky Dick Nixon – having a slimy, corrupt bum like Spiro Agnew as VP would tend to deter anyone from impeaching, bumping off or otherwise getting rid of the Prez.

Kamala would be burning up the panic button if she suddenly got the call. Fun to watch. But scary.

Even considering the overall worthlessness of the Pentagon poobahs, it is not out of the question that a military junta might just step up and optimize the occasion if the leadership routine jammed up. Hard to imagine any single general they’d prop up to run the country, however. Even if he would just be a placeholder.

By the way, am I wrong in assuming the cascade of errors and bad judgments emitting from Washington over the past five or six decades derives from the country actually being run by the Dilbert-level corporate types? Selling more Twinkies or massaging numbers to drive stock prices up really does not qualify you to hold ultimate political power, in spite of what the Captains of Industry might imagine. Look at poor Boeing, which just cannot seem to get it right.

From 11 time zones away (SE Asia) it seems to me like while sharp operators like Putin and Xi know precisely what their objectives are and how to achieve them, without revealing their ruthlessness, the same cannot be said of the Superpower USA. It puzzles the planet. Didn’t they beat back Hitler and Tojo – at the same time? Well, yes, but that was then and this is now.

I’m starting to feel that Hunter Biden is controlled opposition. I’m sick of all this talk of Hunter, who has no power, when the real enemy is his senile father. Too much energy is directed at that worthless drug addict. Let’s concentrate on the big picture, folks.

      • Bonhomie Belibaste October 8, 2021 at 11:34 am #

You painted yourself into a corner.
For if Hunter is powerless, and Joe is senile, well, it seems a question is in need of asking.

Who are you going to ask?

      • thirdcoastlegend October 8, 2021 at 11:46 am #

I’d say the cabal animating Joe are the real issue.

        • abbybwood October 8, 2021 at 1:32 pm #

If Joe is busy playing the fake president across the street, then who is running the show from The Oval? Ron Klain? Barack Obama from Martha’s Vineyard and Susan Rice?

      • AngryFarmer October 8, 2021 at 11:52 pm #

Caligula’s sister and Nero’s mother were technically powerless as well.

Yet one can not understand the tyrannical reins of those two infamous emperors without understanding the twisted relationships with those two “powerless” women.

Likewise, Hunter is a tool of “The Big Guy’s”, corruption as well as a cause of it, and often the focus of it.

Most men are ethical. Most of them will violate those ethics without hesitation if it benefits their children.
Big Guy was corrupt to begin with.
What won’t he do to keep his son in strippers and crack?

    • rainmaker October 8, 2021 at 11:33 am #

If the Democratic Party decides to run Hunter Biden for president, I’d bet that the registered Democrats would “VOTE FOR HUNTER!” I’d love to see the sloganeering on that.

Here is what I don’t get:

They are admitting that the jabs don’t work as the efficacy wanes down to 20-30%. And they are NOT pushing boosters on the fully jabbed even though they admit the protection is dropping like a rock AND that the jabbed can and do spread Covid through their nasopharyngeal passages.

Yet in spite of all this they are pushing the unjabbed to get jabs that are a failure to the point of thousands losing their jobs!?

As the lawsuits build and the American people start to wake up from their stupid wokeness, I see this jab program quietly sneaking off stage as the new $700/week “oral” pills get approved and pushed.

But the pills Merck and Pfizer are hawking may be more dangerous to the general public than the jabs!

Listen to what Dr. Pierre Kory had to say about the new Covid pills coming down the pike in the FLCCC’s weekly update:

        • Jarek October 8, 2021 at 12:17 pm #

They’re not pushing the boosters Yet. They will. They actually faced some opposition from the FDA – which they desperately covered up as much as possible. We need more and faster. They’re coming for the kids now.

          • abbybwood October 8, 2021 at 9:04 pm #

            Dr. Peter McCullough is right.

The CDC should be holding monthly public stat updates but they do not.

We need a PUBLIC input into what the CDC/FDA are doing on a monthly basis in every major city with four hours for the public to speak regarding Covid jabs, deaths, adverse reactions and the new “oral” meds Merck and Pfizer are asking for approval of. You wanna whine about Americans raising hell at school board meetings and now being labeled as “domestic terrorists”?! Ha!! Imagine the people who would line up in Los Angeles, NYC, Atlanta, Miami, Detroit, Chicago and on and on!

            Domestic terrorists?! What a joke.

When everyone in unison were to get into the CDC/FDA reps faces with “Stop. The. Jabs!…..Stop. The. Jabs!” demanding bodily autonomy, how would THEY all be labeled? SUPER domestic terrorists?!

            We are being punked:

Lawsuits? Since 1986? they have immunity from lawsuits. Everything officially published (read: the package insert) is carefully worded to avoid fraud. Fraud could result in lawsuits. Fraud vitiates everything (United States vs Throckmorton

          https://www.law.cornell.edu/supremecourt/text/98/61 )

there’s the only possibility for lawsuits. Essentially a free ride.

Merck was being left out, so along comes a pill with, of all things, Ivermectin, mixed with some secret sauce in search of an EUA with something like 1.9 billion doses already on order, funded by the taxpayers of the United States.

And “The Science” as referred to on here, has a lot to say about it, including keep getting the vaxx the pill is really questionable.

        • Bilejones October 8, 2021 at 6:29 pm #

This is a good time to be restocking Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine.

Be conscientious about the vitamins and take vitamin C in the mornings not night, you want your levels high when you are meeting the diseased in the flesh, not in your nightmares.

Of course none of it makes sense. That’s part of the psychological manipulation/torture/gaslighting. They will see how far they can go with it. Including putting a slurring, stumbling, senile man on the president’s podium.

They are laughing at us as they destroy us for being too stupid to fight it or even call it out.

Reminds me of the punk on the playground pushing the guy.

The guy being pushed (us) goes back. The punk shoves again (another mandatory jab). The punk shoves again (this time it’s to demand our 5 year olds get jabbed so they can attend the CRT/pro LGBTS2JTPW programming in our taxpayer schools).

THIS time the threatened guy winds up and DECKS the punk, says nothing, spits in his face and walks away.

THIS is what we, as Americans, can and MUST do.

These people at the highest levels (including the MSM) are lying, corrupt, criminal bullies.

            Fuck ‘em.

I’ve been doing some research on this “Havana Syndrome” hitting politicians. It seems Raytheon or Lockheed-Martin has developed a new directed energy weapon for crowd control that responds to “graphene oxide”. GO is the same material contained in the magnetic strip on the back of credit cards, and it’s also in the jab.

Could it be…. the real reason behind this jab campaign… is to place as much of graphene oxide as possible into the population blood stream?

Seems GO responds to various frequencies (Laser beam, wifi, Bluetooth, 5-G) and can cause burning, tinnitus, nausea, voices… even music can be broadcast direct to the human brain. Could this Covid jab be the dreaded “Mark-of-the Beast”?

“Biden signs Law giving Money to victims of “Havana Syndrome”…https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/biden-signs-legislation-to-aid-us-personnel-suffering-from-havana-syndrome/2021/10/08/e3636432-2834-11ec-8831-a31e7b3de188_story.html

            Liber8or – very interesting.

GO has an antenna-like molecular structure that’s electrically conductive. Some say that they think 5-G may a “kill switch” of some kind.

Seems most cities that were already 5-G operational, had disproportionately higher rates of COVID sickness & death.

5-G installations did not cease or slow down during 2020 at all – an essential process. Seemed some unexplained sense of urgency, almost like that of the “vaccines”.

Interesting that the two are related in that way also. The parallel sense of over-the-top urgency is noticeable. Wonder why?

      • Hereward the Woke October 8, 2021 at 1:10 pm #

People are rarely swayed by reasoned argument. The only thing that brings people to reality are consequences. If the increasingly disturbing side effects (including death) of this “vaccine” continue their upward paths, there will be consequences that even the most dyed in the wool sheep can’t ignore.

Anyone with brains can figure out that they wouldn’t give Ol’ White Joe a vax on TV for that very reason.
So the liberals are attacking Joe Rogan for stating the obvious.

    • jeff2002 October 8, 2021 at 1:14 pm #

A tough nut to crack, no doubt. Here in VT, people actually think the vax is providing herd immunity even though we’re setting new case records almost daily. And even when the CDC director herself has said on national TV recently that the vax doesn’t stop transmission. Maybe it will take yet another injection–of truth serum–will help them.

      • Mountain gal October 8, 2021 at 5:19 pm #

And 76% of the Covid deaths here last month were in the vaxed. So get your vax and wear your mask. And soon they’ll be jabbing the kids. Definition of insanity……..

        • MaryQueen October 9, 2021 at 10:27 am #

Where are these deaths being reported? I don’t see hardly any deaths in wordometer. And they get their numbers from the CDC.

  4. Hardrock October 8, 2021 at 10:11 am #

Yeah, and on top of all that….we got Mitch caving on the debt. Why do they even bother? Someone brought up the “trillion dollar coin” as a solution….remember that?

Here’s my take on the debt. Aug 3 NATIONAL DEBT, AND i AIN’T TALKIN’ MONEY

    • Beryl of Oyl October 8, 2021 at 10:16 am #

They called it caving, but Mitch does exactly what Mitch wants to do.

Sooner or later some of President Trump’s most vocal critics on the right are going to have to recognize that he was up against a bigger threat from his own party than from the Democrats.

Maybe they will regret sitting on the sidelines and jeering. They won’t admit it though.

      • JohnAZ October 8, 2021 at 10:32 am #

The Deep State is there to preserve itself. In DC, there are no parties when the DC scene is threatened.

      • Hardrock October 8, 2021 at 10:51 am #

True. I’m in KY and was at a rally when Matt Bevin was running against Mitch. I was one-on-one with Bevin and was amazed that two young guys (college students?) were right in his face and were filming Bevin trying to catch him saying something Mitch could use in commercials. They were pretty aggressive in their tactics…I’m sure trying to provoke some response from Bevin. He handled it well, however, and even seemed to have some sympathy for them.

      • oilie October 8, 2021 at 11:04 am #

Right on target. Even without Mitch offering his own vote as a fig leaf, there were 10 RINOs who would not have sustained the filibuster and the debt limit issue was going to be resolved in Schumer’s favor anyway. Mitch is hoping that the Dems can’t get their act together to cover their future spending with a new limit by Dec. 3. At that point even RINOs will probably balk at any additional accommodation. In the meantime the blaming Repubs for a government shutdown will not be the noise giving cover for Dems in the VA governor election.

        • outsider October 8, 2021 at 11:37 am #

The republican party lost me when they kept mumbles Mitch as their leader after he cost them the Senate majority, and backstabbed Trump. Face it, he’s no match for Slimy Schumer. There are many younger Senators who should replace him – starting with his fellow colleague from Kentucky.

They keep talking about a Red Wave coming next November. But they’re being far too premature. What did the republicans do anyway while Trump was in office? I want them in the majority only because the Cultural Marxist democrats, starting with the illegally selected senile president, are so worthless.

          • cbeard October 8, 2021 at 11:52 am #

I don’t believe the Red Wave will happen unless they do away with electronic voting machines and mail in ballots. Do you think they won’t try to steal another election? Personally, I won’t vote if I have to do it on a Dominion machine and have nothing but the old status quo to vote for. When Trump was elected, the GOP had the house and the senate and still got practically nothing of consequence done. Best to just hunker down, lock and load and hope for the best while preparing for the worst. If they can’t stop the next wave of illegals from crossing the border, all bets are off.

          • Jarek October 8, 2021 at 12:20 pm #

And never forget Trump at CPAC: Why would I leave the Republican Party?

He could have gone elsewhere or started his own. Taking tens of millions with him. Another incredible moment lost to inertia, fear, or just plain stupidity.

Yeah, from what I recall of Marx, he pointed out that the ideas of society are ever the ideas of the ruling class.
It is the ruling class pushing this bullshit, from the trans agenda to the ”we’re all gonna die from covid” agenda to the ”be sure and vote next time! Next time it will really work!” line.
Nothing to do with Marxism. What we need to do is reject all of it, from the pronouns to the vaxes to the voting.

There are NO issues of an american football during the soccer game!
Corporate oligarch who amassed the money by operating in THIS system are an epitome of CAPITALIST SUCCESS STORY. THEY rule and control political process and just about anything behind the curtain. If they off-shored the production and service jobs to the Third World and became border less “dark entity”, which they are, they have nothing to do with Santa Claus look-alike from the XIX century. Well…other than confirming his assertion about late stage of capitalism.

Giggling women with pink vests and “vagina” contraptions around their necks are NOT communists. They are just plain stupid.
            Neither are the “Antifa” thugs.
            Or BLM folks.
“Gender clusterfuck” promotion could not be found in any of
            Marx’s writings.

Through the lottery of life I had the opportunity to live in both systems, with the clear distinction and cut date, going back a few decades ago, printed on my $99 People’s Express plane ticket from Brussels to SF.
Some of you, as of recently, claim that you actually had lived in some covert communism (no other way to explain it), or shall I say parallel universe of NK, where you were given all the goodies of capitalism just for fun, but now goodies are being taken away – via REAL communism, that only you see as.
Don’t you think that it is unfair to say to somebody from any of Eastern Block countries, who endured shortages and looked with envy to Western life style, “YOUR SYSTEM is ruining my country”?
Or as Dmitry Orlov, interview in recent Jim’s podcast, had said that Americans refuse to look at themselves how foolish or childish they are.

Yes ok good point. Svrh. Never meant to put you down. Will look at the Orlov.

And srv, you’re not into this, but one of the big catholic prophesies says, Russia shall show the way.

          • SvrzoH October 10, 2021 at 3:28 pm #

As for The Turtle, he may have been told by the ChiComms to help Schmendrick Schumer or his wife’s family’s business and all their money would be seized. Not to mention, any GOP money from China would dry up. So they came up with the story about saving the filibuster and caved as usual.

      • Rodster October 8, 2021 at 11:28 am #

It’s not really doom and gloom. It has become reality and we are now experiencing it and it will probably get worse if we are to learn anything from the sage individuals who wrote the book “Limits to Growth”. And boy were they right on the money, so much so it even took John Michael Greer by surprise how quickly we are experiencing their predictions from a book written nearly 50 yrs ago.

“It’s been just over a month since I started talking about how the predictions set out in 1972 by The Limits to Growth were coming true in our time. Since then the situation has become steadily worse. As I write this, rolling blackouts are leaving millions of people in China to huddle in the dark and shutting down yet another round of factories on which the West’s consumer economies depend, while China’s real estate market lurches and shudders with bond defaults. In Europe, natural gas supplies have run short, sending prices to record levels, while in Britain, the fuel they call petrol and we call gasoline is running short as well. Here in the United States, visit a store—any store, anywhere in the country—and odds are you’ll find plenty of bare shelves.”

        • Islander October 8, 2021 at 2:34 pm #

THe WEF is the direct spawn of the Club of Rome, author of “Limits to Growth.”

There is plenty of gas in Russia.
          Shortages in Yurp are political.

I have read that there is plenty of coal in Australia. And in China.
          Shortages are political.
There was plenty of wheat in Ireland during “the Famine.” The Famine was political.

JHK does it by suggesting that whatever replaces our present civilizations arrangements will be slower, saner, and more sustainable in the long term. If you’ve read his WMBH novels you will understand. His imagined American dystopia, if it is proper to describe it as that, is far more optimistic, in many respects, than almost all other dystopian literature out there.

I read a lot of dystopian fiction and, honestly, way too much of it overly emphasizes the worst aspects of human nature. While I concur that a civilizations collapse will bring out the worst in many people, I also like to believe that many others will rise to the occasion as it brings out the best in those of us who still believe in living by a moral code.

        • Wizard of the Saddle October 8, 2021 at 12:34 pm #

That should have read as: “Civilizational arrangements.”

Thanks, Wiz, I need to order WMBH and I have been meaning to. Good reminder.

Yes we can actually see from recent catastrophes – the big blackout in NYC a few years ago, 9/11, Katrina – that mostly people bond together to fix the situation or get through it. We tend to share, and help others.

I think you mean the ability to simpyl say the word science and talk about scientific ideas in an authoritative but superficial manner — something that perfectly fits with the woke ideology pushed in popular culture (just a coincidence, no doubt).

Science itself is based on continually questioning ideas and results. Nothing in science is ever considered and open-and-shut case. To stop questioning is to leave the scientific method behind.

As usual with the wokester crowd (regardless of how many PhDs they might have), the lie is a foundational one. The core of the apple is rotten.

Another neat thing about China is, the Chinese bought the Panama Canal Zone. I’ve long thought that would be a good platform for missiles aimed at the US. Apparently Carter and others weren’t thinking ahead. Is it possible they’re bringing “refugees” to Panama, offloading them, and sending them north to the USA Mexican border? It would breed confusion and more political problems here, while also bringing long-time diseases into the US to further speed up our collapse.

Bravo, James!! So many gems in today’s article!

WE have to own what is happening and we will have to ride out the storm.

“Let me light your fire, America: think about making your own stuff again, maybe not as much as before, but, honestly, we don’t need ten-foot-tall inflatable Santas and a lot of other plastic crap.”

How did Americans get so sucked into cheap plastic crap? Crap that we don’t even need? My sister was making money as a side-gig buying and reselling shitty toys (of cartoon characters) from China, it really disgusted me. She finally stopped when the customer service demands got too annoying. I told her she was part of the problem, being a conduit. When people have $$ in their eyes though, you can’t reason with them.

What’s going to happen when luxuries (like cheap plastic crap) are no longer in vogue?

Also love this: “Now the supply lines are choking on their own hyper-complexity as each nation in the global “community” has to contend with its own bad decisions and the fragilities they have exposed. ”

Another of my pet peeves over the years: The idiotic and needless complexity of things, when simplicity would do. Yes, I do know it’s all by design. Not only does it keep us occupied, it frustrates us and turns us into angry, resentful people instead of creative, happy ones.

Let’s relearn what it means to thrive, shall we?

    • Beryl of Oyl October 8, 2021 at 10:35 am #

IDK, Mary. The Shakers had that simplicity thing nailed, and they haven’t exactly thrived.

I remember one time in a workplace, one of the older women happened to mention to a young one that they didn’t have plastic when the older woman was a child.

That led to a discussion of what it was like in the olden times.

One of the young women was nearly astonished when I told her you took the glass bottles of shampoo right into the shower with you.

      No directions either.

      • MaryQueen October 8, 2021 at 10:43 am #

        Who are Shakers?

Plenty of people thrive living simply – look at the Amish. Are they the Shakers you refer to?

In any case, if you have worked in a professional workplace as I have, for about 3/4 of my career, you will see the needlessly complex replacing the once-simple. Computers were supposed to automate things, and make the average task more simple. It was supposed to create a conduit between information bytes that speed up processes.

What happened instead was, most programs/apps don’t speak to each other so you have to recreate the wheel 5x instead of 2x, which is not progress, IMHO.

        • thirdcoastlegend October 8, 2021 at 10:52 am #

That’s a good way of putting it.

They have to be religious, and they have to be in favor of having children in significant numbers. They also have to have private property. This last is the main reason for the failure and/or instability of modern intentional communities, though all three are in play.

Modern ICs tend to be largely made up of transients, even if quite a few people stay for a few years. They tend to be unfriendly to members having children. In some, you must ask permission (and have permission granted) to have a child. There is also no route to home and land ownership within the community or within the orbit of the community. The whole setup encourages drifters. Shared beliefs or ideologies are vague at best, though some ICs have LOTS of rules. The classier ICs have a lot of trust-fund babies who are killing time while waiting to inherit Daddy’s money, mainly because living in an IC is a good excuse for not getting a job.Lets you look virtuously unemployed.

      • Anthea October 8, 2021 at 6:34 pm #

The Shakers did not believe in marriage or any form of sexual congress between men and women. They sometimes adopted children, but at replacement level. So they dwindled away.

This seems like a good metaphor for the entire Corona-Panic, actually from the start. It was the ultimate triumph of “Narrative-reality over real-Reality,” a modified version of “Form over Substance.”

Unless you work for a state agency, where you either get the death shot or have to burn your carefully-hoarded time off to get weekly Covid tests. Some employees either get the shot or they’re fired. Others, like my wife and me, fall into the shot-or-test category. She wants us to get the shot because we’re fat and diabetic. I’d rather not shorten my lifespan, presumably by decades. The timing of this mandate is weird: Cuomo started loosening restrictions, new of his groping hit the news, he quit, and his replacement, Kathy “County Clerk” Hochul, reimposed a lot of restrictions and started making bureaucrats get shots. If you though things were a mess before, wait till the people who make sure you get your money drop dead from the shot. THAT will start a revolution.

    • MaryQueen October 8, 2021 at 10:43 am #

I would make them fire you if you want legal recourse and perhaps unemployment.

      • thirdcoastlegend October 8, 2021 at 10:54 am #

        More background-

I am a contractor at a large defense company via a third-party firm.

I think that affects my ability to draw unemployment.

I don’t think I can afford legal action but I can afford to walk.

        • benr October 8, 2021 at 11:06 am #

Could depend on your state but typically you get terminated for a non-criminal function you get to apply for unemployment.
They are attempting to illegally single people out for being let go for not getting vaccinated.

          • Warren October 8, 2021 at 11:40 am #

Exactly, just because your former employer says you can’t collect unemployment benefits doesn’t mean it is true. Especially since the so called vaccine mandate by Biden isn’t anything more than a press release.

        • MaryQueen October 8, 2021 at 12:17 pm #

I walked, even though I will need to find something else fairly soon.

Life’s too short to spend it masked all day and tested every week.

And of course, I’d have to go back to California.

          No way, Jose.

I think we’ll all figure something out.

          • Ron Anselmo October 8, 2021 at 3:56 pm #

            Good for you Mary.

Live your truth and you’ll always be free. As one door closes, another one opens.

Good things happen to good people, so you’ll be fine.

Can’t help but think all these individual circumstances will be temporary anyway.

As they continue to get smoked out about the truth on COVID, “vaccines”, who’s dying and why, the tables will completely turn.

“Mandates” will be rescinded out of necessity – lots of vacant, essential positions.

People will be able to tell potential employers when they’ll be starting & how much they’ll be making. What goes around, comes around.

I’ve got the same problem. My strategy is to delay, delay, delay in order to buy time, in the hope things blow up and these mandates are dropped. Starting with the religious exemption filed at the deadline and not a minute earlier. It will get denied, but again just hoping to buy time. Not sure what to do after that.

Try telling them you only want the FDA approved vax, not the EUA jabs. As far as I know, they still don’t have the approved one available.

        • Not_GeorgeT October 8, 2021 at 2:42 pm #

I just tried a search on where to get it, to verify it (Comirnaty) does not really exist.

However, there is some interesting opinion stating the corporate immunity might not hold up as the drug, which was approved even though it does not exist, is a remake of the experimental jab. That itself seems to open up a lot of liability. Carried a step further, it might not see “market” for a while because of liability issues.

          Fraud removes the immunity.

    • draupnir October 8, 2021 at 11:13 am #

Make them fire you, in writing, if you won’t get the shot. Don’t walk away–that’s what they want. When they start harassing you, document everything and make a complaint with the state employment office about a hostile workplace. Then, when they fire you, they have to give you unemployment, and the state will give you resources to pursue your claim. You get to sit on unemployment while your case works it way through whatever process it goes through; apparently, it takes years, or until this whole thing collapses. OSHA hasn’t made any steps in the direction of enforcing that mandate.

      • Mountain gal October 8, 2021 at 12:44 pm #

You have to have very intricate notes detailing the harassment too – they won’t just go on your word. And you have to have gone to HR about it, at least once.

I have sued a company successfully only because I took meticulous notes.

    • Bonhomie Belibaste October 8, 2021 at 11:22 am #

If any consolation, the majority of my colleagues are vaccinated. None have told of any side-effects. Nobody has dropped-dead.

Personally, I try to avoid running from the arms of the leftist lunatics only to be scooped up by the right-wing kooks.

Here are a few things we know for sure: it does not prohibit the spread, contracting of, or symptoms from the virus. In short, it does not really work.

It was rushed and is not approved. Conventionally.

      Many people have had side-effects.
But if you make the mistake of watching any TV at all, you have seen prescription drug ads. Many of them.
And just as certain as the commercial was creepy, the list of side-effects are worse.

People should be FREE to make their own decisions.

If there was an Ebola outbreak, with people bleeding-out from their orifices, with a very high death rate, and a rushed vaccine came to the floor, that promised a 30% effectiveness rate with miserable side-effects.
I’d let them jab me 10 times.
I’d line up around the block.
      And so would most.

Although a creep like Fauci left in-charge would even erode that willingness.

      Get rid of the creep.

You make some great points about the lack of people around you dropping dead.

Through all this, I haven’t known anyone to die from Covid, the rebranded flu. I know a few people who have gotten pretty ill, but they’ve pulled through. I think the hysteria affected their mental state and made the illness slightly worse.

On the flipside, my entire family has had the shot. Almost everyone I know at work has had it. I know one person in their early 60s that had an adverse reaction that consisted of chills, aches, and a 102-103F fever. No one has died or suffered a long-term effect.

Because I don’t know anyone who has died on either side, I have to wonder if it’s all just pro wrestling.

I mean, look at this guy, who is an obvious grifter that just happens to be selling the supplements in his prophylactic protocol against the shot:

            That is THE point. Yes.

        • Anthea October 8, 2021 at 6:57 pm #

I have heard of three people who died after being vaxxed, from typical adverse reaction types of illnesses: stroke (a woman around 50), aneurism (an elderly woman with many comorbidities), and heart attack (a man in his 40s). I don’t know any of them personally. Two of these cases were the wife and son of a guy I from church, whom I know slightly. They died within days of each other.

          • Ron Anselmo October 10, 2021 at 12:37 am #

Anthea – If they died anytime prior to 14 days after their 2nd shot, they are considered “unvaccinated”.

Yes, the “pandemic of the unvaccinated” proceeds apace.

Their deaths were entirely unrelated to the shots, it’s because they were unvaccinated.

      • Paula D October 8, 2021 at 12:28 pm #

Remsdivir was being tested as an Ebola drug, but they pulled it half-way through the trials, when half of the subjects died.
So then Fauci dragged it out again last year, gave it an EUA, and decreed it to be the only drug hospitals could use on covid patients.

One thing is amazing. How little the margin for error is, how few missing workers or ships or truckers it takes to make things start to deteriorate.

The one great thing of the pandemic is the way is has pushed the gimme button on so many people. The Dems have won a battle with this exercise. How long can the government hand it to the gimme society and survive without dire consequences? I think we are going to find out. One thing that 2020 has taught, there are more gimmes now than ever. The question now is, what will it take, disaster wise, to turn gimmes into Normal people. Wokesterism is just a forum for the gimmes to rally around, an excuse to “rob the rich”. How do you suck the vitality out of an economy? Steal it through the government.

Domestic terrorism? Never before have I heard a better description of the war between the Deep State and the people of America. This will not end until the banks of the Potomac are emptied out and a new government is formed. Big questions though, how can that happen? Are there too many gimmes on board now to let it happen? If so, will it take Balkanization to allow normal people freedom from the gimmes? How do we get the “load” out of America? Will the immigrant population go to war against the residents here to preserve their gimme status? Who is going to win the war between the Federalis and the folks? Time will tell. Lincoln’s Gettysburg legacy is definitely dying though.

There is one way to defy these charlatans. Quit financing their foibles. One interesting derivative of the liberalization of DC is the fact that only the “rich”, the middle class pay the freight. A tax revolt, the FBI cannot throw the entire middle class into jail, will stop the tax and spend aholes in DC faster than anything. All together now, shred your 1040s. Who needs war, just cut them off.

Best thing to do is just limit consumption to necessities which is legal and still cuts their revenue.

Deal in cash at farmer’s markets to limit tracking.

For entertainment walk around the neighborhood, go to a park, or go to a beach and watch the waves, or take a good book, perhaps something written by our gracious host.

What the Technosphere (Orlov’s term) seems to be reliant on, for the purposes of control, is continued consumption beyond the “need to haves”, but that’s just my tuppence.

Keeping a LID on consumption might be a quirky axiom.

NoYce! My motorcycle was getting 68-72 MPG, back in about ’92. Last time it ran (~5 years ago), it was barely hitting 50MPG (I know, carb problem – but from 2008-2016, I only drove 3k miles *TOTAL* ). Owned and driven, since ’83 (’81 honda cm400).

So, you’re telling me you burnt 400 pounds of gasohol on your vacation? That’s all I’ve burned in the past 13 years!!!

Many air traffic controllers walked off the job in Jacksonville, Fl, yesterday, in protest over the jab mandate, causing cancellation of hundreds of flights. Cancellations are continuing into today. The MSM is reporting the problem as being weather related, though the weatherman says it is is clear, so they can’t even get their stories straight. Now, apparently the military are running training exercises in the air space, which sounds dubious and desperate to me. They wouldn’t want us to know that people have reached that point now, would they. I hear firemen in LA are walking off too.

I think sometimes about the scenario depicted in Greer’s “The Twilights Last Gleaming” when things unraveled, a constitutional convention was called, and with a surprise ending. The states decided to dissolve the Union and go their separate ways, once it dawned on the individual states that they could all have what they wanted.
It’s going to be an interesting winter coming up, even as the northeast basks in classic “Indian Summer” (ain’t that just so racis of me?). Not just for us, but in spades for our benighted cousins in thrall to Brussels.

    • stelmosfire October 8, 2021 at 1:33 pm #

No “Indian Summer” in this part of New England. We haven’t even come anywhere near a frost yet and nothing for another 10 days at least. I’m still picking tomatoes and peppers. Speaking of Brussells, the sprouts will be oh so much sweeter after a couple good frosts.

Cabbage will take the hit from a frost. as long as it does not get too cold, say 28 degrees or so. Spray them with water as early as you can in the am. the leaves may suffer a little but your heads will be fine..

    James Howard Kunstler wrote:
“Why are there suddenly a striking number of heart attacks and strokes tallied in Great Britain? Concerning, ya think? They’re counting, at least. In America, we’re not even tracking.”

    On mysterious heart attack deaths:

32 unexplained ‘extra’ (statistically unexpected) heart attack deaths per week in England (not full UK) for the 4.5 months from late-March to mid-August 2021. There are usually 9-10,000 all-cause deaths per week in the same period, so the +32/week found in the data is no enormous number, BUT if it is true the vaccines are associated with it, these are still unnecessary deaths.

That according to information published at The Daily Sceptic (formerly Lockdown Sceptics), from official British Healthy Ministry data.

If the pattern has continued to hold, and if the academic economist publishing at Daily Sceptic has his data-analysis right, England has probably just now passed the “one thousand” threshold of statistically-unexpected heart attack deaths since March 2021 when the injections became widespread.

And consider this (quoting from The Daily Sceptic):

“There are also some indications that the risk for myocarditis from the vaccine may be higher in younger people and especially in younger men.”

If this proposed “extra one thousand” heart attack deaths in England skews younger by x years than usual (statistically expected) heart attack deaths, the overall effect in “expected life-years lost” terms is higher, and the social hit is harder.

He is reporting a 1% adverse-event rate from the The Big V.

But says maybe only half or so of all adverse events are ever reported because reasons, so it could be an adverse-event rate somewhat higher than the 1%; he proposes a rate as high as 2.5% may be plausible.

“He” is Karl Denninger, a.k.a. The Market-Ticker Guy.

Denninger then says: “Whether those injuries spontaneously resolve without permanent compromise or worse, degenerate progression is completely unknown as nobody is following up these individual cases to measure blood levels (e.g. troponins, EKGs, etc.) in an attempt to determine whether these events are transient or result in permanent impairment or worse.”

**NOTE to James Howard Kunstler***: Consider interviewing this man, Karl Denninger (a.k.a. The “Market-Ticker Guy,” per commenter Beryl of Oyl) for your KunstlerCast. He does interviews.

I think there were plenty, like myself, on the right/libertarian side who followed/patronized Hedges before his astonishing silence over covid. It’s hard for me to pin Hedges down, to determine where he’s coming from. He talks a lot about American fascism, and refers to the US as a fascist country. He also appears frequently with Richard Wolfe, who’s a Marxist professor at Amherst and is all over YouTube hammering Capitalism, White Supremacy and so on. But Hedges also speaks negatively about the old Soviet Union and the CCCP. So Hedges is no Communist either.

          • Paula D October 8, 2021 at 4:13 pm #

Nope. Greenwald and Taibbi’s more recent work just highlight my point. They still call it a pandemic, still function under the idea that much of what has occured is just human error.

They will never touch the PCR test fraud. And without the PCR test, there is no pandemic. They seem to have no interest in the rotten core of the Big Lie.

Where is corresponding data for the flu shot, or the polio vaccine, or the measles shot? Could it be that if we compare each vaccine introduced to a vaccine less control group, that each one would have side effects, heart attacks, or other forms of reactions to vaccine induced immunity reactions, called inflammation. Is The flu or Covid vaccines just another chance for inflammation to cull out a very small part of a susceptible population?

      • Beryl of Oyl October 8, 2021 at 11:19 am #

Bobby Jr. says in 30 years of the VAERS report’s existence, almost a third of reports have been from the COVID shots.

        • spaingaroo October 8, 2021 at 11:53 am #

I am sure it’s well over half, and we know that most reactions are not reported, neither for the other vaxxes, nor these ones

        • draupnir October 8, 2021 at 2:35 pm #

And remember, by a Harvard study, only about 1% of deaths/injuries are reported. The actual figure is certainly much higher.

      • E. H. Hail October 8, 2021 at 11:58 am #

        RE: Amman
“[W]hat have you told the board really?”

The numbers are unclear but some sharp people basing their analysis on hard data have reason to believe there may be deaths caused by the vaccine which may total in the thousands.

But JohnAZ has a good point, above:

“Could it be that if we compare each vaccine introduced to a vaccine less control group, that each one would have side effects, heart attacks, or other forms of reactions to vaccine […] cull[ing] out a very small part of a susceptible population?”

        We lack good applies-to-apples comparisons.

Data analysis can be hard, which is how we ended up stuck in the slimy muck that is the Great Corona-Panic of 2020-22(?) in the first place.

What we do know: Other vaccines were ended after 25-50 deaths. We are now in the tens of thousands and they simply refuse to stop it.

The FDA approves everything, at least initially. Their approval means nothing. At least they used to disapprove things after they started causing mayhem. That’s what has changed.

          • E. H. Hail October 8, 2021 at 1:18 pm #

            I wonder,

What would be the threshold at which the FDA would follow Sweden’s lead and ban the experimental injections for all under age 30/40/50/60?

Under a rational policy this would have already been done, as soon as the data showed so-called vaccinated people still “spread it” (or possibly spread it more).

Interdependency created the Union. Each state depends on others for its subsistence. The Union provides its own subsistence. At least before it was all handed to the Chinese. Now, no state is independent, contrary to popular opinion.

Part of the Deep State agenda is to destroy the power of the tenth amendment, that all powers not given directly in the Constitution shall reside in the states. Biden is actively lobbying to steal power from the states.

That’s not accurate, JAZ. The USA sold itself to China in exchange for 3 decades of everyday low prices. We all know that.

“This now-sinister enterprise called “The Science” doesn’t really want to see any numbers, and if any happen to come up, its minions like to play games with the math, which can tell any story they want it to.”

The only display type items I am considering are laser engravings in a range of materials.

Simple idea for the rest of us. Dig a hole in the shape of a bowl, bucket or bathtub, melt all your plastic crap into said molds.

You’re gonna need buckets to carry that water and out door tubs for your monthly/yearly baths.

The natives up here, after they pull in the net that crosses the river to harvest the sockey, after they jar the fish and cap it, they put it in a huge deer skin hammock, lined with tin on the outside, think 20 x 10 feet, 4 feet deep.

They fill it with water. A huge bonfire rendered to coals is under their hammock. They boil that all night long staying up for the potlatch.

In one fell swoop they have protein for a season.

They used to make the tin layer from tin cans.

Today’s offering from Mr Kunstler: sublime.

From the Anglophone fringes of North western Europe, it’s been an unfolding tragedy to watch the demise of a once coherent cultural narrative, descending to the fiery, flaming pits of Hades.

American cultural or soft power has been, although not perfect, infused into so many aspects of life as to become indispensible. Cultural icons built on positive values…….and it’s come to this.

But the Wall of Lies and the Death Cult can’t last long, if for no other reason, due to its innate cannibalistic (and catabolic) self-destructive tendencies.

But we need to continue to stand strong for right and justice. According to the Belgian psychologist, Dr Mattias Desmet, unless opposed, totalitarian regimes usually grow more insane.

I suppose that the only extant ‘checks and balances’ are the types of voices on this, and other similar blogs. And voices like Jim Kunstler: one of the good guys, and a true American Hero.

Just read and downloaded the john waters link shv. Thank you.

      Take aways,
They consider the human being to be a biological organism who should be manipulated and controlled through biological means. That’s the ideology by which institutions like the WHO and individuals like Bill Gates start. It’s tempting to say that these people are sociopaths or even psychopaths, but I don’t think it is right. They are people who are ideologically blind. That is their main characteristic.’ Gustave Le Bon, he points out, said that ‘the hypnosis is even deeper in the leaders of the masses than in the masses themselves. They are more convinced of the ideology than the population. They have the feeling that in the end when they have reshaped society according to their ideal image, they will end up in a technological transhumanistic paradise, almost without human suffering, and that is why they feel it is justified to inflict a lot of damage and a lot of suffering, because in the end the result of this revolution will be so marvellous that it justifies everything they do now.’

Are we ever going to get back to the point in civil society where we are not afraid of being amongst mixed company sans mask?

Nick Goldberg is clearly a twat with anxiety issues, it is probably for the best that he left this other passenger alone to his own devices.

Says Nick: “I ignored him for the first half-hour or so, but finally, nervous about sitting for 12 full hours next to an unmasked man during a pandemic, I asked if he would put it on.”

I turned on the TV yesterday about 10 minutes before the local weather report came on. I saw the latter part of the Ellen Degeneres show and it was quite interesting. Everyone in the audience had on dark blue matching masks (obviously provided) . It was really priceless. The only thing more ridiculous was the drivel that passed for conversation between Ellen and guests. Fortunately, since they didn’t have on masks, we were not deprived of their smug, self-important faces.

Fauci hasn’t decided yet if we’re allowed to have Christmas. But he has decided that no one is allowed to remove their masks and that children must be vaccinated to go to school. What he fails to mention in justifying this, is that other childhood vaccines have years of testing done specifically for childhood safety and this has next to none.

          • Jarek October 9, 2021 at 12:28 pm #

St Augustine? We have his image: a dark skinned North African Caucasian. Africa isn’t just Black. C’mon, can you try harder?

There are some actual Black saints. I never say or said it was impossible. But the facts are the facts. We could debate the reasons, but that wouldn’t change what they are – which is primitive andless gifted than we are in a multitude of ways. They have gifts, just not ones that make for a Civilization.

They have wreaked havoc on our Civilization and will continue to do so. We are fools to have brought them here and fools to keep them among us.

A swallow doesn’t make a summer. And exceptions don’t change the norm. I’m asking you for proportion – and I’m asking in vain I’m afraid.

Did I say they kill at (conservatively) seven times our rate. Did I just say seven percent more? No, I just said 600 percent more. And in response you give me personal anecdotes. You are Woman. You should not be allowed to vote.

And more from the annals of (mis-)education:

The Carroll Independent School District in Southlake, Texas, is cracking down on the books teachers keep in their classroom libraries, drawing protests from educators who say the guidelines amount to censorship.

Administrators with the suburban school system outside Fort Worth told teachers this week that they would receive mandatory training on new districtwide rules governing books — and instructions for getting rid of any that don’t meet new content standards.

The rubric for determining which books should be removed from Carroll classroom libraries asks teachers to grade books based on whether they provide multiple perspectives and to discard those that present singular, dominant narratives “in such a way that it … may be considered offensive,” according to a copy of the training document obtained by NBC News. The guidelines are based in part on a new Texas law that prohibits schools from teaching lessons that might make students feel “discomfort, guilt, anguish, or any other form of psychological distress” because of their race.

It can’t be too good for him at his age, but by god, Kunstler is at his best when he’s pissed! Anyway, I just had a general question. I’m familiar with the broad strokes of the civil war in China that led to the split between the nationalists and the communists and eventually to the birth of Taiwan. Besides, for just reasons of pride, I guess does anyone here understand why it would be worth the trouble for China to seize Taiwan militarily? I have no doubt that’s the plan; I just can’t understand why.

    • E. H. Hail October 8, 2021 at 12:09 pm #

      nohnson wrote:
“why would it be worth the trouble for China to seize Taiwan militarily?”

      It’s not worth the trouble.

But they are obsessed with their “island chain” strategy, and Taiwan is a lynchpin of it.

(The US / US Navy is a little obsessed with the “island chain” concept for maintaining stability in the West Pacific, to be honest; there are several sets of so-called island chains, and the one closest to China runs through Taiwan.)

In other words, under this view, they want Taiwan not for Taiwan’s sake (alone), but for the inner island chain’s sake, so it’s really (perhaps more) aimed at the US Navy.

Finally, given the obsession with the island-chain strategy in war-planning by the PRCs, they have active plans of seizing key points on it, just as all militaries worth their paychecks have plans for possible dust-ups that may plausibly happen.

I think an analogy that may work here is the Schlieffen Plan in 1900s-1910s Europe, which went into effect when Europe, in a bout of temporary insanity, went to war in August 1914. When they made the Schlieffen Plan, there was not some kind of secret plan to invade the Low Countries and France. It was a plan in case war came. War came. They plan went into effect.

If you know about the Schlieffen Plan in WWI history, apply it to PRC-vs.-Taiwan in our era and I think that helps. Plus the strategic goal of the island chains.

Taiwan and China have existed for 72 years in the same status quo. China insists they are part of China, and Taiwan insists they are their own Great and Glorious country, and neither of them does anything rash about it.
The US went along with Taiwan for a couple of decades and then switched to the Chinese side in 1972, when they wanted those billion cheap laborers.
Now the US is poking the tiger, instigating the dumbass Taiwanese to declare independence from China and allow the US to put a base there.
I saw a propaganda piece from Australia (running lapdog of US imperialism) and they said that China wants to put a military base on Taiwan in order to be close enough to attack Australia. LOL, and I thought that our propaganda was deranged! Look at a map and you can see how stupid that was.
Anyway, why would China invade Taiwan after 72 years? What would possibly provoke them to do such a thing?
Only a military play would do that. And hopefully cooler heads will prevail in Taiwan and they will not do that.

      • E. H. Hail October 8, 2021 at 1:04 pm #

        RE: Paula D

China definitely wants to neutralize Australia’s reach in the West Pacific region. I think this is one of the easier calls to make in geopolitics in the world, beyond the really-really-obvious ones like “China wishes to see Japan contained, weak, or diffident.”

It’s not about attacking Australia through dropping bombs or something. It’s about controlling the sea lanes and such like. That is to say, trade. Dominating Australian trade networks, damaging or crippling them in a limited war, making Aus potentially feel as isolated strategically as they are geographically. And alas beholden to the PRC.

Australia has long had the nicknamed “the lucky country,” forfeiting the nickname when they went insane over a stupid flu-virus panic and bitterly clung to it for two years, enforced by bashing dissenters on the head and endless, pointless lockdowns.

Once “the Covid-19 spell breaks” (as Mr Kunstler wrote today), Australia could, in principle, return to being The Lucky Country, unless the maniacs bitterly cling to public-health-stalinism indefinitely, or unless China outmaneuvers them and the US shirks or retreats.

        • Jarek October 8, 2021 at 1:27 pm #

They went crazy years ago, banning White only immigration, started calling themselves an Asian nation, etc.

Things are what they are because they’re not something else. Australia was a White, Western Nation. Then it rejected that to become something else. They should call it something else. People are confused by names. But of course the Elite want people to be confused.

        • Paula D October 8, 2021 at 1:43 pm #

Thinking that China wants to cripple Australia, where they obtain coal and beef, is every bit as deranged as believing that covid is going to wipe out the world population. “Australian trade networks”? How much trade does Australia do compared to China? Why would China want to cut off their imports of coal and meat?
It’s all propaganda, son. The US is drumming up war, and they have dragged Australia along. The nuclear sub deal is a primo example of the derangement.

          • BackRowHeckler October 8, 2021 at 3:35 pm #

Austalia could serve as a nice landmass for China to shunt its excess population onto. Underpopulated, not too distant, plenty of coal and other natural resources, China could offload 350 million eaters onto Australia and still keep a cool billion on the Mainland.

I’m more and more curious about the shipping container situation than anything right now as the “Covid-19 spell breaks.” Is what they’re saying really the situation?

On Tuesday I went to ship a small package to a customer in Australia and was told there was a “temporary” suspension of service to the island nation as well as New Zealand.

    Statement from the USPS:

“The postal service regrets any inconvenience. Our ability to find available transportation capacity to Australia is driven by external forces which we do not control. Postal operators around the world are experiencing limited international flight capacity,”

So I shipped to Australia numerous times in the last year and a half without issue. I can’t see where it now has become a problem due to limited flights.

If it really is a capacity thing then this is an example of how intricately entwined things are and how easily they will collapse.

It’s happening on several levels – weather manipulation, market and transport trouble, shutting down farmers markets due to kovid regulations. And then there are the fires!
They’re after single family homes too, which are being bought up by huge conglomerates.

I’m all for a tax revolt, including property tax, if we can get the numbers. We can expect retribution, like the medical workers being fired for Not Submitting to the killshot, (‘they’ went in and changed the rules to prevent these people from collecting unemployment compensation. And it’s Their Money, that they paid in extra fees and taxes.) Grrrrr.

I think it was Ed Abbey who said “Action is the antidote for Despair”.

This. You rock James. Best column ever. I will not submit. I will not comply. I may go down, but it will not be without a fight. Bought a woodstove this morning. Meant to do it months ago, but life happened. Can’t believe I got one but my fellow citizens are slow on the draw. They’re still laughing at Texas and their windmills, not really understanding that this time it’s our turn. They’ll understand in January and February. Then they’ll set fire to anything and everythig that will burn, including the politicians.

How many cords of seasoned wood have you?

      • O.G. Hawkins October 8, 2021 at 7:17 pm #

How secure are your cords of seasoned wood? When everyone else is freezing to death, they will smell smoke.

      • elysianfield October 9, 2021 at 11:34 am #

“How many cords of seasoned wood have you?”

Just go into the forest and cut down a dead scag. They are merely a series of cords stored in vertical position.

Burning wood for energy was exposed as a boondoggle by Michael Moore in Planet of the Humans.

In small scale, it is fine. But like other options, try to convert from FF and it is a catastrophe. If all uses of heating alone were converted to biomass, or electrical generation converted, at least two things would happen.

      1. Pollution , especially particulate would skyrocket . What would happen in the cities during high pollution days when you cannot burn wood.

      2. Our forests would become an endangered species. Wildlife fires and beetles are already decimating western forests. Resurgence of the gypsy moth should do a job in the East.

Maybe some genius can figure out how to tap into the heat of wildfires to get energy.

Watch the documentary Burned to see what is happening in US forests.
Thanks to Al Gore and his cap-and-trade deal in Kyoto, they are cutting down the forests (using fossil fuel-driven chainsaws and bulldozers), trucking them to the ports, shipping them across the Atlantic to UK and Norway, burning them for electricity and calling it “carbon neutral”.
Because, you see, trees grow back.
This is the kind of insanity they want to spread.

      RE: JTinMD

That’s a great line by John Michael Greer!

Was he against the lockdowns from the start (March 2020)?

I get the feeling he was neutral on the lockdowns, and at first tried spin the whole situation in a direction towards his own agenda. This temptation would be especially great for someone with J M Greer’s agenda and weltanschauung. But then he came around to turning towards what I call the “Anti-Panic side” (attacking the lockdowns and all of it in harsh terms, little or no compromise) without ever truly being on the “Pro-Panic side.” Is that about right?

      • JTinMD October 8, 2021 at 12:47 pm #

In March 2020 it was real easy to go along with the lockdowns. Two weeks to flatten the curve, remember? Makes sense. No big deal. Pretty foolish too!

        • cowbell81 October 8, 2021 at 12:59 pm #

Yes, and in a few short months we will be approaching the vaulted 2-year anniversary to flatten the curve. Wonder how we will be celebrating it at that time next year???

John Michael Greer writes amazingly gorgeous prose and lots of it. It, nearly all, spins poetic and seemingly logical and conclusive.

Until you look closely with a discerning and skeptical eye.

I am not going to bother to dissect any of his writing and I will not attempt to convince you of my opinion. Figure it out for yourself.

Suffice it to say, it is all essentially shit. None of this “will end up in the history books…”, for example.

His essays on Fascism are the best introduction to this legitimate form of government that I’ve ever seen. And he is a recognized authority on the history of Ceremonial Magic. So from what I’ve seen, he is a good scholar.

Mandates are ten percent of the problem with this group of idiots.

Economy is a run for destruction. Inflation is going to eat our lunch, a product of tax and spend. Older Americans are going to need more of their retirement funds to stay afloat. Wait until they find out that the additional funds do not exist. SSA is really susceptible along with the bond market. Pension plans are notoriously underfunded. When they come hunting for funds, the national debt funds will be needed. A big nothing!

Immigration. This will destroy what is left of the economy and the national identity. America will just become non existent. Will it become South Canada or Norte Mexico?

Privacy. Being invaded in so many ways, freedom is measured by how little knowledge and control the government has over the people.

Healthcare. Besides Covid, healthcare in the country is out of control.

Higher education. A joke, a Wokester heaven. It is feeding down to elementary schools. The parents are starting to fight back, you know, the Domestic Terrorists.

Can you imagine what could be happening right now if Merrick Garland had been allowed to get to the Supreme Court?

Jobs. I have never seen a worse case of spin that Biden trying to explain the lousy jobs reports. He is taking credit for 4.8% unemployment. It was more fun watching Trump bragging about 3.5%.
Biden started with an economy decimated by Covid and is trying to take credit for the recovery. Everything he has done has just slowed things down. He is responsible for NOTHING and is just taking credit for the Trump economy rebound.

I wonder how many Americans are actually capable of productive activity. I would guess it’s a pretty low number. And the ones that do know how to do stuff rely on fossil fuels to do it.
I have been a vegetarian for 30 years, but I decided to buy some meat from a ”local” farmer (lives about 100 miles away, but delivers meat door-to-door every week, like the old milkmen).
He handed it over and said “Tell me how you like it”. I said “Oh, no, I don’t eat meat, I’m just going to store it in case the stores shut down. I figure I’ll need the protein and calories”.
He looked surprised and then said “Well, I’ll always have meat and I’ll keep delivering”.
And I said “Until they shut down the gas stations”.
That really shocked him. I don’t think he had considered how far things might go.

The fat and infirm will die because you might actually have to hoof it in order to obtain the supplies that you need. Furthermore, we should be bringing back the mode of horse-drawn transportation, as that only requires a bucket of oats, a good water source, and tack supplies. The manure has the added effect of beneficial fertilizer and could even be used as a source of fuel.

        • Islander October 8, 2021 at 4:55 pm #

Actually it is pretty valuable fertilizer.

When I lived in NYC a husband and wife pair, called The Purple People because they wore funny get-ups featuring purple, rode through Washington Square on their bikes, collecting all the horse shit from the carriages there.

Other people collected the horse apples in Central park.

I guess they used the droppings in some version of urban farming.

We must become less squeamish. The world would be a better place if it were better at using H. sapiens sapiens apples as fertilizer.

    Kunstler wrote:
“Chinese factories don’t work so well without Australian coal”

Mr. Kunstler’s biweekly reflective essays are a pleasure to read because there is always a thick, moist layer of unsaid depth right behind the veil that is the text.

Australia and China have a close relationship (in addition to clearly being strategic rivals, with China aiming to neutralize Australia by mid-century or earlier if the stars align). There are lots and lots of PRC-Chinese in Australia, I believe at a rate many times the per-capita rate in the USA.

Which leads me to raise this question on Australia:

Some of us would still like to know what the story was on that inexplicably severe mid-2019 flu wave in Australia.

Nothing to write home about was going on with northern-hemisphere influenzas in 2018-19, nothing that would suggest Australia would get walloped in its winter (middle months of 2019), which they did, their worst of the decade. This scenario is outlined here:

“A ten-step Wuhan-Corona meta-narrative hypothesis to fit the [recent] facts:”

“(4) Australia-PRC ties lead Wuhan-Corona to enter Australia early and pass through Australia in its winter flu season (mid-2019). (If so, Australia’s entire lockdown nightmare was rather pointless.)”

(The biggest new fact, revealed this week, is that government and military institutions in Hubei started ordering crateloads of PCR tests abruptly in May 2019, dwarfing their previous orders.)

    • JohnAZ October 8, 2021 at 1:29 pm #

      A good question is

Does Australia have the same north south difference in the timing of surges as the US.

      If so, why?

      • E. H. Hail October 8, 2021 at 9:53 pm #

        RE: JohnAZ
“Does Australia have the same north south difference in the timing of surges as the US”

        Which surges do you mean?

Australia’s main population centers have flu seasons approximately flipped from those of the US Northeast.

Flu waves come yearly, and typically begin in late June or (more often) July, and fade back to minimal levels by early or mid October at latest, the start of their high spring and approaching summer.

In 2019, there was an unexplained major wave of “influenza-like illness” beginning in late May 2019 in many areas of Australia, much earlier than usual for the 2010s, at it reached a higher and more sustained peak over coming months.

The monitoring system there (run by specialists and scholars, for specialists and scholars) was regularly testing for influenzas, adenoviruses, RSVs, rhoviruses, parainfluenza, metapneumovirus, and enteroviruses, but not flu viruses of the “corona” family — so little attention did anyone given coronas in 2019.

Thank you. I didn’t realise us peasants were able to comment on this. Oh, I will have plenty to say! Regarding the passing on, is it sad that I have only one person I could reliably pass this on to? Everybody else seems to love the taste of Flavor Aid.

I had my medical this morning with my new AME. I even took along a negative lateral flow test and mask (get me!) although he did hand me a brand new one at arms length with a pair of litter pickers. Comforting though was the fact that we shared jokes and stories for ninety minutes and not once did the subject of vaccination come up.

Hope your organs are all playing nicely.

What I have read, I think at the Daily Skeptic, is that this is actually kind of an end run around Parliament. They can massage their “survey” results any way they want.

If I were a UK citizen/subject, I would let my MP know that I, and the country, expects any vax mandate to be mandated by an actual law, debated openly in Parliament.

        • GreenAlba October 9, 2021 at 6:05 pm #

I think you are right, islander. Boris wants to say he has the weight of the people behind him. Not sure he wouldn’t win a parliamentary vote anyway, though.

But I will try my MP again. The last attempt just got me screeds of waffle about how the vaccine was our best way out of the problem.

And this is for England. Here up north the vaxx passport is already in place for certain events. I’m surprised they even let me take part in the consultation, but that’s because of the historical anomaly of there being devolved governments in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, but not in England. The infamous West Lothian Question.

Still, I enjoyed letting the f*ckers know that I know what they’re up to. As my mother used to say, I didn’t miss them and hit the wall.

It will achieve diddly of course – you can only hope that they got a bunch of similar responses nevertheless. The consultation was mentioned on UK Column news, so hopefully that got a few to respond.

Supply chain is broken. I started my Christmas shopping already. I had to stop though. The price of the lumps of coal I was planning on giving this year are up over 400% since September 2020. Coal is up from $39/ton then to $240/ton now. “Winter is Coming” and it will be very dark.

    • cowbell81 October 8, 2021 at 2:10 pm #

You or anyone else here ever walk along the railroad track right of ways and pick up coal there that falls from the passing railcars?

I recall there being tons of it for the taking if you have the time to walk the rails. This might be a new means for some people to obtain an independent energy supply.

      • MaryQueen October 8, 2021 at 2:13 pm #

My mom did that during the Great Depression. She was lucky, she lived across the street from the railroad tracks.

My parents used to leave us with our grandma over the weekend sometimes when we were young. My grandma wasn’t very concerned any of us would get run over by a train. We played on the tracks often, and put things on it for the trains to smash.

It blows my mind, nowadays would parents or grandparents allow that? LOL. Why I’m still alive, I don’t know.

        • BackRowHeckler October 8, 2021 at 4:03 pm #

We played on the tracks often, – MQ

I was walking along a rocky train track bed when I spotted a small bird that had landed on the rail about 25 ft away. I quietly bent over and picked up a rock and threw it at him with all my might. It was a perfect hit that knocked him into the afterlife. I felt terrible. I was a boy. It was about the challenge.

Interestingly – a dead bird we found was one of the things we put on the tracks, just to see what would happened. Learned a little bit about blood and guts that day.

At that age I was more fascinated than grossed out. Funny how that changed.

        • messianicdruid October 9, 2021 at 6:38 pm #

We lived with grandma for awhile when my dad was looking for work. We walked the rails looking for the white quartz rocks for an old lady that lived nearby, who would give us 10 cents for each one. She would put them around her flowers. It took me years to realize she was being charitable. If I hadn’t wanted to buy candy I would have kept them all.

“Over 3,000 Doctors and Scientists Sign Declaration Accusing COVID Policy-Makers of ‘Crimes Against Humanity’
    By Debra Heine

    September 24, 2021

A Physicians’ Declaration” produced by an international alliance of physicians and medical scientists strongly condemns the global strategy to treat COVID, accusing policy-makers of potential “crimes against humanity” for preventing physicians from providing life-saving treatments for their patients and suppressing open scientific discussion.

The document states that “one size fits all” treatment recommendations have resulted in needless illness and death.

As of 1:00 Friday afternoon, the declaration had garnered over 3,100 signatures from doctors and scientists around the world. (See below for updated number).

A group of physicians and scientists met in Rome, Italy earlier this month for a three day Global Covid Summit to speak “truth to power about Covid pandemic research and treatment.”

The summit, which was held from September 12 to September 14, gave the medical professionals an opportunity to compare studies, and assess the efficacy of the various treatments that have been developed in hospitals, doctors offices and research labs throughout the world.”

You write, “you can begin to… defy the regime that affects to be running your lives”.

Oh, dear, what have you gone and done now?

“Walk away”? Some of us can say that. But nobody is listening and so, it is not a threat.

But, “defy”? Hopefully, there are not enough people listening, believing, and acting so as to cause that to be interpreted as any threat to those who are “running” this show.

Ultimately, I reckon, the story ends roughly the same way regardless of the particulars of the collapse save for one important detail regarding the state of the hard assets of the industrial infrastructure post collapse. “They” probably will need those high voltage power lines, hydro-electric sites, ports, oil drilling and refineries, among others. But at this point, those are virtually guaranteed to be secure; 70% vaccination may be the trump card. And so, maybe, the discussions are essentially moot at this point and we might just as well throw out all of the logical evaluations for all to see. I don’t know.

At any rate it’s great to read your assessments of the bigger picture, being one who has spent so many years researching it and who seems to be blessed with the powers of critical thinking.

    • toktomi October 8, 2021 at 2:19 pm #

in case my reference in the last sentence is confusing, I am referring to your research and critical thinking skills.

    • MaryQueen October 8, 2021 at 2:19 pm #

We can’t be afraid of being defiant now. And to hell with the evil cabal’s interpretation of such.

The more we are careful, the more they advance.

Unless you make a direct threat, there is no reason for them to accuse you of anything.

Defy to me means resist. Quit the job, be fired, sue, refuse masking and vaxxing. Boycott big box stores. Refuse to fly. Refuse to spend your money at big venues, stop using Amazon.

Many ways to be defiant that aren’t ‘domestic terrorist’ stuff.

      (1) World Made by Hand first , because it applies the skills needed to survive

      (2) Living in the Long Emergency last, because living that way is currently underway

Both are essential though and dovetail nicely.

Mary, you mean you haven’t read The Long Emergency yet? Oh my! I’m actually quite jealous because you have a real treat to look forward to. Might I suggest Richard Heinberg’s The End of Growth, too? It merges some of the ‘peak’ topics with global finance, particularly what happened in 2008. Quite an eye opener for a naive like me.

      • gustafson.robert.22 October 8, 2021 at 3:59 pm #

In long emergency, jhk was maybe the first and best to combine awareness of and theory behind peak oil and other approaching economic and resource limits together with an overarching cultural critique and developed aesthetic sense. It’s sublime satire with the scientific scope of a very accomplished generalist, and unlike heinberg (who’s also great, but more of an empathetic, depressed moralist), jhk always had an inspiredly combative stance, like he was taking on the entire corrupt mess and skewering it right down to hades single-handedly and successfully.

Thank you for the recommendation, Slug!

    • Jarek October 8, 2021 at 4:22 pm #

Neither. Buy “The Long Emergency”, his foundational book for his work over the last two decades plus. Also it contains his quote (approximate): Black misbehavior will not be tolerated during the Long Emergency.

He also says that White listening to rap are bopping their heads to their own extinction, since the lyrics are often explicitly anti-White, a promise of a coming War.

      • MaryQueen October 8, 2021 at 4:45 pm #

OK thanks, will buy that one.

Our host’s comments to some university faculty members that more or less amounted to a critique of “black misbehavior” got him blackballed from the college lecture circuit. • Jarek October 8, 2021 at 5:04 pm #

Yes, one of the foundations of his earlier work. And obviously the early work and the later work are consonant with each other. The huge, impractical, anti-social cities are death traps in the Long Emergency. But, the suburbs may be worse. Because the cities were originally founded near valuable natural resources, especially bodies of water that make distant trade possible. So in time, parts of the cites may become valuable again. Some may try to hold out during the meantime. Danny was all for defending his Manhattan enclave.

I have a problem with this one, though:

” … becoming a multitude of Hunter Bidens, moving from one grift to the next in a haze of drugs, making nothing of value and serving no one.”

James! Are you denying Biden Jr.’s irrefutable proof of artistic merit? Half a million for each sale of one of his masterpieces is surely a great deal for the buyer. I mean, with fiat money being so strong and all, it’s a bargain at twice the price!

Who knows? One day Hunter could be this century’s answer to Picasso and Matisse, his paintings hanging in the Louvre in 2088 for those curious and historically-aware visitors hoping to catch symbolic “young love” clues among the jejune inadequacies meshed between cloudy colours, shaky lines, and ugly proportions.

Watch the following movies to check out Hollywood’s opinion on DC.

          The American President. Michael Douglas

          Designated Survivor Netflix. Keifer Sutherland

          House of Cards. Kevin Spacey

IMO, the most accurate is number three. The Deep State did not like Spacey’s rendition of the goings on in DC and shut him down with Wokesterism.

For the theatre that they would love for you to believe, posted long before the opening of the current performance, watch the movie, “Contagion”. It was a marvelous heads-up in 2011. The big lie of course was the vaccine on a white horse.

Watched Contagion. Good flick showing what the health organization should be doing.

The White Horse vaccine in the movie was a have to have, there would not be anyone left without it. Have you seen Outbreak, 1995 with Dustin Hoffman. Same thing with an Ebola type disease.

Mr Hillier was elected as a member of the Progressive Conservative (I know, Right?) Party. He has left the PCs while an MPP and is now an Independent.

“Enough people around the country will finally get their minds right.”

I highly doubt it. You have a “bottom 1/8th” of the population, no matter the measure – that is simply statistical fact. The “bottom 1/8th” doesn’t want to think – they want to be spoon fed, they want a hero/father figure to cheer/worship, they want a family of cult brethren, with a lot of smoke&mirrors and bread&circuses and divide&conquer tossed into the mix. They want to self-glorify in the 7 deadly sins – that is their primary desire/purpose in life (pure instantaneous self-gratification – narcissism/sociopathy/psychopathy). Arguably, this applies to a significant portion of the population, not just the “bottom 1/8th.”

And that “bottom 1/8th” (about 13% – 44%/56%) is enough to swing voting significantly. Particularly in a duopoly of “neoliberal/neoconservative bankster warhawk corporate oligarch bought-and-paid for whores,” that run executive/legislative/judicial branches of govt. Thinktanks figured this *SH!* out in the 70’s.

I get it, this “bottom 1/8th” are the dimwitted docile dupes (Triple D’s), who are easily parted from their wealth, through recurring monthly credit/debit card donations. Free, easy money – the ‘vig’ the Mafioso intended!!!

2006, The Long Emergency – the focus here on this blog has shifted significantly away from this premise, over the past few years. “Asphalt concrete desert suburbia sprawl happy motoring ecocide” slaps us in our faces over and over. However, we still deny the exponential human population growth, exponential consumption of any/all resources, exponential depletion of said-same resources well beyond any sort of renewability, exponential pollution of the land/air/water by carcinogenic hydrocarbons/heavy metals/radioactive materials, and exponential destruction of any viable ecosystem habitat (*on a finite planet – hah!). Guy McPherson is gunna roll in his grave!

A strangely religious society, believing in prayer, faith and hope – rather than the direct consequences of their own actions. Choose your interactions, and make their consequences so! (or NOT so)

“The global economy of interdependent super-systems is breaking apart.”

You mean the ‘offshore’ monopolies and oligopolies since Reagan, that have outsourced/offshored, deregulated and reduced their tax burden to 0, through lobbyists buying the politicians/judges?!?

    • Cavepainter October 8, 2021 at 6:42 pm #

Uh,…more like 32% of any demographic are people who without agency or, more importantly, peer/community/social enforcement are unable to restrain impulse, so go “pirate”. That’s why you find trash along roadways and bullet holes in road signs.

    Mary Queen

Saw where folks advised you on JHKs reading list.

The Long Emergency sets the scene for the rest. When I read it the first time, I had to put it down three times. I was shocked in 2008 by his forecasts of what was coming. It is centered on oil specifically and the effects of peak oil. It scared me quite a bit and as time has passed, IMHO, was understated. It was published in 2005.

In 2011, he published Too Much Magic, an update on TLE. It really shows how much the forecasts of 2005 were happening.

Life in the Long Emergency is another update last year. Slightly different as it uses personal narratives of interviewees to show the effects over the years.

Would Made by Hand and its sequels are fictional descriptions of a post apocalyptic world after Peak Oil hits hard. Ironically, WMBH was kicked off by a pandemic.

I know you have been reading CFN for a while. Prepare to be shocked by the accuracy of JHK prophesying. I hope it makes you realize how deep in doo-do we really are. The pandemic is only the tip of the deep doo-do iceberg we are riding on.

Also, how much the Woke, Liberal, Biden, immigration, higher education stupidification programs are pushing us toward the Long Emergency cliff and the end of life as we know and appreciate it.

America is not on a path to be a good future for anyone like it used to be. Maybe the most valuable lesson from today’s education might be where to relocate to to avoid what the Liberals are turning this albatross into.

    • MaryQueen October 8, 2021 at 7:24 pm #

THanks for your rundown, JAZ, but I probably won’t be all that shocked. I have read about what is coming for about 15 years now from other authors (if you want a shocker, read “Radical Evolution” by Joel Garreau – lays out the current techno-feudalism attempt – written in 2005). I was expecting this crash much sooner (2015), I had been wondering why things seemed so ‘normal’ until 2020, but the second the covid19 plandemic began I knew this was the big show.

I’m still interested in reading James’ books of course and I’m sure some things will shock me (maybe?) but after also reading an 800 page book on the CIA’s doing, footnoted to the smallest detail, I don’t know if anything can shock me now.

Your cadre seems to think that everything is being caused by the virus.

The PTB are using it to subvert the population, true.

Peak oil, water shortages are going to tear down society and will continue doing so long after Covid is another flu.

        • MaryQueen October 9, 2021 at 10:59 pm #

Well before the so-called virus, I was aware of all that so no, my ‘cadre’ whatever that means, don’t think it’s about a virus at all. I guess you’ve ignored our 1000s of comments in the past months saying the exact opposite, that the virus was invented in order to cover those very things.

Joel Garreau— the guy who wrote “Nine Nations of North America,” published in the 1980s. I read it back then. I wonder whether that book was prescient in terms of how the USA-Canada might break up. Or, break down. Canada now looks certifiably crazy. Would they make contiguous US areas more or less crazy??

        I hadn’t seen Garreau’s name in a long time.

Here is an interview that some might want to read if they don’t have time for the whole Radical Evolution:

Mayor Lori Lightfoot sponsored a resolution at the US Conference of mayors equating “meritocracy” with racism.

I thought my Catholic school did very well with putting me in the advanced reading group and others in the advanced math group so that we wouldn’t be bored. And I think it sucks that public schools can’t do this. Do private, still?

None of the kids seemed to mind. Kids are great that way, the ones who had reading/English challenges acknowledged it and didn’t care, same for the math ‘nerds’.

Seems like there’s a lot more kerfuffle now that everyone is made to be ‘equal’.

      • MaryQueen October 9, 2021 at 11:04 pm #

“IQ, or intelligence quotient, is a measure of your ability to reason and solve problems. It essentially reflects how well you did on a specific test as compared to other people of your age group. While tests may vary, the average IQ on many tests is 100, and 68 percent of scores lie somewhere between 85 and 115.”

    • SW October 9, 2021 at 2:12 pm #

To answer your question Billy, it’s a NO. I dug into the archives for an old article about diversity vs. ability when it comes to engineering. It’s about a pedestrian bridge build in Florida that collapsed 4 days after being built.

“Whatever brought down Diversity Bridge, the fact that the people involved in the project were turning a simple pedestrian walkway into some kind of victory lap for women in STEM has shifted the story from a mere bridge failure to a cautionary tale about what happens when “diversity” overshadows ability.”

The entire article is worth reading if you have 10 minutes to spare. I remember reading that as Rome deteriorated, one of the things that happened is people became less and less capable. They didn’t pass on real skills and the infrastructure wasn’t repaired and even their newer engineering work fell apart. But no need to bother Lori Lightweight with a bunch a boring history from a long time ago (prior to 1619).

These energy shortages in Europe are a big deal, specially in the UK. People might freeze to death this winter; I’m thinking the govt. shouldn’t have been so eager to shut down the coal mines and close the natgas fields. Perhaps they should have waited to see if the wind turbines and solar panels could actually do the job of providing reliable energy to the people. Now they’re f#kkd. Somebody is responsible for this disaster. I can envision a near term scenario where you see Extinction Rebellion cranks, in their wierd costumes and make up, hanging off lamp posting Londontown, twisting in the wind. One thing for sure, at the Climate Conderence in Glascow, the call for governments to PUT THE SCREWS TO THEIR CITIZENS in order to lower the temps 1.5°C over the next 100 years, ain’t gonna go over too good, especially with people stranded in Liverpool, and freezing to death in Des Moines.

Speaking of war with China, when I first heard of a US submarine striking an object (from what I can gather, somewhere in the South China Sea) the first thing I thought of was, has China developed a stealth mine or some other kind of undetectable weapon, and we were just lucky that it was an inert test model?
