Teachable Moment

“In the wake of the Hunter Biden sweetheart plea deal, calling D.C. a swamp is an insult to swamps and frankly to all wetlands in general. We need to redefine the Clean Water Act to include all Biden adjacent areas.” — Margot Cleveland, Lawyer and legal analyst

“I’m proud of my son” — Joe Biden

I hope you agree this has been an instructive week for our republic, sinking to the bottom as fast as the Titan submersible on its way to consort with its grandmama, the RMS Titanic. Here’s what I learned, for instance, from Special Counsel John Durham’s visit to the House Judiciary Committee: When asked why he did not seek grand jury testimony from the primary culprits in the Russia Collusion hoax — Comey, McCabe, and Strzok — he told the room it would have been “unproductive” because they habitually claimed to “not recall” anything when testifying in Congress.

That’s an interesting legal theory. If it is so, we must suppose that any witness in a criminal inquiry may decline testifying on the grounds of claiming a defective memory. I’m not a lawyer, of course, but is it not the case that witnesses can be prompted to recall events when presented with evidence? E.g., “…here is your smartphone text of July 29 saying, ‘Don’t worry, we’ll stop him [Trump].’ What means did you have in mind to accomplish that, Mr. Strzok?”

In the four-year lead-up to his personal appearance in the House, many of us were fooled into thinking Mr. Durham was a serious dude. (I sure was.) Turns out the ferocious facial hair masked a rather timorous persona. Mr. Durham apparently did not dare test the boundaries of the narrow lane laid out in the scoping directives set forth by then Attorney General Barr. Mr. D. did find a line of criminal conduct between Lawfare artist Michal Sussmann, the Fusion GPS disinfo company, the DC law firm Perkins Coie, and candidate Hillary MyTurn in the creation and marketing of the Steele Dossier — yet he never called Hillary to do any ‘splainin about it (or anything else she did in 2016). Weird, a little bit.

While his omissions and missteps were spotlighted by the Republican members, Mr. Durham was mugged, kicked to the curb, stomped, and peed-on by the committee Democrats, who still labor to prop-up the dead-letter Russia Collusion fraud against all evidence and reason. As usual, the lead attack dog on that was Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA). He was rewarded the next day with a censure vote for seven years of shameless lying about said fraud, and stripped of his seat on the House Intel Committee, which he used, as then-chairman, to launch Trump Impeachment #1 in 2019 with fake “whistleblower” (and CIA goblin) Eric Ciaramella, whom Mr. Schiff naturally lied about never meeting prior to the proceeding.

We are treated in these twilight months of the “Joe Biden” regime to a cavalcade of revelations laying out the degeneracy of a federal justice system at war with the American people and its shady machinations in service to the Biden family global bribery operation. Late Thursday, the House Ways and Means Committee, chaired by Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO), released the affidavit of IRS supervisory special agent Gary Shapley from testimony given in closed session May 26. It disclosed a concerted program by the DOJ to impede, obstruct, delay, divert, and bury a massive tax evasion and fraud case against Hunter Biden, involving millions of dollars garnered from foreign persons and entities for no discernible services performed in return.

I am alleging, with evidence…” Mr. Shapley testified under oath, “…whatever the motivations, at every stage decisions were made that had the effect of benefiting the subject of the investigation. These decisions included slow-walking investigative steps, not allowing enforcement actions to be executed, limiting investigators’ line of questioning for witnesses, misleading investigators on charging authority, delaying any and all actions months before [the 2020] elections to ensure the investigation did not go overt well before policy memorandum mandated the pause.”

Hunter Biden was code-named “Sportsman” as the case opened in 2018. Red flags in bank transfer records of Hunter B and associates involving millions of dollars triggered the IRS inquiry. It wasn’t until a year later that Hunter’s laptop turned up, crammed with deal memos of bribes paid along with vivid documentary evidence of sex and drug crimes. The FBI verified its authenticity in November of 2019 by matching the device number against Hunter Biden’s Apple iCloud ID.

By the way, note that this was the exact same time that the House Intel Committee under chairman Adam Schiff commenced its impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump. AG William Barr and FBI Director Chris Wray therefore knew then that Hunter’s laptop existed and that it contained evidence of suspicious money transactions with Russia, China, and most particularly Ukraine — since Mr. Trump’s impeachment case was based on a telephone query he made to Ukrainian President, Zelensky, regarding the Biden family’s operations there. Neither Mr. Barr nor Mr. Wray alerted Mr. Trump’s lawyers about the evidence contained in the laptop — which would have provided exculpatory proof of a reasonable motive for Mr. Trump’s phone call. How was that not an obstruction of justice?

Mr. Shapley’s testimony is just one thread in the much larger tapestry of Biden family corruption now achieving clarity. Rep. James Comer’s Oversight Committee continues on its deep dive into the Biden family bank transfer records — with its evidence of money laundering through Biden shell company cut-outs — and the direct voice recording evidence of  “Joe Biden” discussing his family’s financial arrangements with Petro Poroshenko, then-president of Ukraine from 2014 to 2019, plus other damning evidence connected to a “trusted” (and well-paid) FBI human confidential source in the much fought over FD-1023 document recently surrended to the Oversight Committee.

In short, the tide is going out even as the sun sets on “Joe Biden” as President. He and his handlers may believe they enjoy the protection of a compliant news media, but even that has its limits. Impeachment is coming, even if not as fast as Rep. Lauren Boebert wants it to, and if and when it does, there will be no ignoring the stark presentation of hard evidence — no matter how much MSNBC’s Joy-Ann Reid snorts and cackles.

Meanwhile, please understand that “Joe Biden” is only pretending to run for reelection and his party is pretending along with him just for the present desperate moment. Before long, their whole reeking, creaking edifice of lies and bad faith will come crashing down. Joe Biden will have to resign or the nation will be treated to the spectacle, this time, of a trial in the senate for real cause, bribery and treason, not just fake animus. And then, not even Gavin Newsom will be able to save the Democratic Party in its present alignment and foul habits. If it survives at all, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. will have to rebuild it from the ground up and expel the demons infesting it.

In April, 2023, Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) Kathie Breault was indicted in the Eastern States District Federal Court for “Conspiracy to Defraud the United States” for giving vaccination cards to people who did not receive Covid-19 vaccinations. Her defense is that the vaccinations were ineffective and harmful, and to administer them would violate the Hippocratic oath of health professionals (First do no harm). Her legal battle against a dishonest and vindictive federal government will require lawyer’s fees that exceed her ability to pay — a reminder that “the process is the punishment.”

Kathie has also been accused of “professional misconduct” by the New York State Licensing Board for prescribing Ivermectin via telehealth visits in July 2021. Many other medical practitioners across the United States have been similarly persecuted and some have lost their licenses to practice. Kathie has been under investigation by New York’s Office of Professional Discipline since March 2022. No decision has been reached as of May 2023.

Please contribute to Katie Breault’s legal defense fund.

The loss of the Titan is the perfect analogy for what is happening as reality no longer matters.

The CEO that went down with his sub publically proclaimed that he wasn’t going to hire ex-military White males because it didn’t provide good optics and that young hip inexperienced diversity hires were actually what would inspire people to climb aboard his death trap.

It is all about optics now and the Republicans in Congress do not have the grit to push this battle. Well, we are all aboard the Titan now so just sit back and wait for it.

Not my style to relax and enjoy the inevitable rape. I might lose in the end, but I’m going down swinging. Man up.

        Man up?

I’m one of those 50-year-old ex-military white guys that the CEO of OceanGate didn’t want to have around because I’m so “uninspiring”.

A big part of being a “man” is realizing mistakes, and limitations and accepting that math isn’t “racist” but the way we define our reality.

Western Civilization has climbed aboard the Titan and it is now 2/3rds of the way towards the bottom of the ocean with the occupants bolted in and the pilot is steering it with a $30 wireless controller that has a lot of bad reviews on Amazon because it loses its Bluetooth connection quite frequently.

You are inside too and you can swing all you want. Swing away! Pound your chest! Whatever works best for you. The outcome will be the same.

Bingo. There is not a thing to be done, but pray for divine intervention.

          • reggiezz June 23, 2023 at 4:43 pm #

What if the demons inhabiting Joe Biden and the other woke personages ARE divine intervention?

I’m feeling the empire quake and tremble this week. The politicians like Gaetz and Graham are clearly mad today.

Something has happened that’s not yet in the news.

          • RD June 23, 2023 at 6:33 pm #

What do you mean? I try not to pay attention to the news cycle.

        • Beryl of Oyl June 23, 2023 at 11:45 am #

That a good analogy. Good but depressing.

        • Jarek June 23, 2023 at 12:28 pm #

Man up. Over the top. It’s only a hundred yards thru mud, barbed wire, and heavy machine gun fire. Once there (on the off chance you make it) then you have an even chance against Huns, fighting with bayonets.

Thus do conservatives, from the weepy Jordan Peterson to the stern Matt Walsh, tell men to get bite the bullet and get married – even though the odds against them are most formidable.

It’s not that every women will (divorce rape you) but every woman can. You don’t know. Matt says you do – but you don’t. The extremely healthy or lucky tend to have little sympathy for others. It’s like that.

To be a good Philosopher means being able to get outside yourself and your condition.

          • Beryl of Oyl June 23, 2023 at 1:14 pm #

New York State has no-fault divorce.

          • Jarek June 23, 2023 at 1:58 pm #

Is it real or just “on the books”? What about the “second set of books” the guy who set himself on fire in New Hampshire talked about?

He was being tortured by his ex-Wife, her lawyers, the Feminist Judges, etc. He was losing and just couldn’t take it anymore.

          • Beryl of Oyl June 23, 2023 at 2:05 pm #

I don’t know a thing about that guy or his actual marriage, and neither do you.

          • MaryQueen June 23, 2023 at 7:46 pm #

Jarek probably worships the guy who just executed his tiny sons, all 3 of them, here in Idaho, because his wife displeased him in some way or another.

I bet she was about to leave him. This is the type of marriages so many women are trapped into, and when they leave, the dad murders the kids.

Or daddy finds a new squeeze, like that psychopathic Chris Watts, and uses that as an excuse to execute mommy and his own babies.

            But yeah… “divorce rape.” LOL.

          • messianicdruid June 23, 2023 at 7:49 pm #

“To be a good Philosopher means being able to get outside yourself and your condition.”

My dad and brother were both bachelors after a total of 5 marriages and lived together due to dad’s health.

They used to call my wife the “Yes” woman, because of my habit of running almost everything by her before doing something.

My dad used the nickname once in my presence and I said, ” Maybe this is why I have been married to the same woman for 38 years” [ 2010 ]. The nickname died on that day.

Getting outside your own POV is a good thing. Sometimes you need help.

          • MaryQueen June 23, 2023 at 9:34 pm #

            Sorry – Ohio. Not Idaho.

          • Uncle Bob June 23, 2023 at 10:19 pm #

Jarek, it’s on the books, though given the way this shithole of a state is run, it hardly matters; all that matters is whatever the Democrats want on a particular day, regardless of what the law or the state Constitution says.

            Mary — Ohio, Idaho — what’s the difference? :p

FWIW, I gave up on Clay Travis and Buck Sexton a couple years ago, when Clay not only got Austria and Australia confused, but then rambled on and on about how they’re the same country even after a producer told him off-air that he was wrong. You expect that kind of shit from either a Kenyan by way of Hawaii (who did that kind of thing more than once) or an elderly person whose mind is fading; you dont expect it from a lawyer who’s co-host of the biggest talk show in the country. Limbaugh must’ve banged his head against the wall of his heavenly residence in frustration.

I was presented with the perfect analogy for our current situation while in the garden the other day. I came across a common garter snake in the course of devouring a toad for its meal. The toad was about a quarter consumed and was just hanging out blinking its eyes and doing it’s throat thing while slowly slipping further into the snake. Seemingly and apparently very unconcerned as its legs disappeared.
I had no desire to watch the whole process and maybe that toad was a true stoic and accepting of being turned into dinner as a matter of course. The American public goes about their business seemingly unconcerned as well. Not stoic but not wanting the flow of ordinary life disrupted. Too late. Many I know say oh well, nothing I can do. Maybe we’ll struggle when nearing the end but the nights of sitting on a lily pad and sucking down flies will be gone.

What makes these sorts of things even crazier is that I’ve read here and there along the lines of that ‘It’s not that unusual to use plastic consumer game-control devices like that for professional applications.‘.

The media tells us that Russia is stripping washing machines to get parts for their missiles.

If the msm says it, it must be true.

          • The Man They Call Zazelle June 23, 2023 at 11:26 pm #

Russia’s the largest State in the world, with lots of energy, resources and industrial mass-production capabilities. Common sense would seem to suggest that if they can produce missiles, then they can probably produce replacement parts for them without having to pirate washing machines for parts unless there’s some reason that doesn’t include desperation. But what do I know?
Common sense would also seem to suggest that many legacy MSM outlets are full of ‘kids’ who graduated from journalism (or somesuch or related specialty) school relatively recently and so have relatively limited real world experience, knowledge or informed opinions, except what they are told, like from a teleprompter and/or an owner/director with vested interests, inspired by their funders, advertisers, shareholders and political views.

The White House knew what happened to the sub on Sunday, and used it as a convenient distraction from the Hunter issues.

Not that the media was going to cover any of that anyway.

        It certainly looks that way.

And, the WH appears to have entangled the US Navy in covering its (the WH’s) ass via its (Navy’s) ex post facto statement that the evidence wasn’t reliable enough to warrant mentioning.

(Even though the explosion seems to have co-occurred with loss of communication with the surface vessel.)

Meanwhile, the public is gaslighted with “reliable” (snark) knock-three-times “flickering gaslights.”

? Somehow the Titanic sub incident reminds me when Osama Bin Ladin (the most wanted man in the world) was buried at sea with photos not allowed. Last week’s jet shoot down over VA already forgotten. Chinese Spy Balloons, Canada wildfires with smoke alerts for NYC, Debt Ceiling Theater, Trump arraignment and the O. J. Bronco Chase. Difficult to keep abreast of the distractions these days.

          • elysianfield June 23, 2023 at 2:22 pm #

He is not stupid. Jr. can speak against the power structure and be heard, he is being well covered by the MSM, while other voices are silenced.

What Jr. is saying has been said by CFN members…common sense. Nothing unusual, save the fact that he is not receiving the same lack of attention as are others.

He is being allowed to speak. He, who is not a part of our culture, champions our values? The rich ARE different.

RFK2 can get the nomination for next year. But for him to replace Biden now, they’d have to get rid of Harris, then have Biden pick RFK2 and not some other ambitious commu– I mean Democrat to replace her. Congress would have to confirm the new Veep — all while Bribetaker Joe is still in office. Then, they’d have to either impeach and convict the crook or remove him via the 25th Amendment, neither of which is very popular with the Dems because, as we all know, they’re sinless and blameless in the sinking of America, which I know this because both they and their mediot handmaidens say so.

Titanium and carbon fiber would seem to have different properties, perhaps especially under extreme conditions. And their differences, if combined to form a sub, would seem to create increasing differences until there were enough differences to allow water to enter.

          • ThorsHammer June 24, 2023 at 12:18 pm #

            Interesting point, Zazelle

Back when I had a composites manufacturing business in Seattle one of my acquaintances invited me to tour their CNC mold tooling facility. We happened to walk through their black room where the molds for the Boeing 777 fuselage were being autoclaved. As I walked by them I knew instantly that the parts built from them would not fit—because I had made exactly the same mistake myself.

The first prototype 777 set Boeing back a year and cost billions from precisely the same problem—which stems from the fact that metals and carbon fiber have different expansion rates under extreme conditions.

No amount of money and BS is a substitute for common sense and experience.

How many millions of taxpayer dollars were spent on a wild goose chase…?” ~ abbywood

“The most absurd apology for authority and law is that they serve to diminish crime. Aside from the fact that the State is itself the greatest criminal, breaking every written and natural law, stealing in the form of taxes, killing in the form of war and capital punishment, it has come to an absolute standstill in coping with crime. It has failed utterly to destroy or even minimize the horrible scourge of its own creation.” ~ Emma Goldman

“Lest anyone protest that the state’s true ‘function’ or ‘duty’ or ‘end’ is, as Locke, Madison, and countless others have argued, to protect individuals’ rights to life, liberty, and property, the evidence of history clearly shows that, as a rule, real states do not behave accordingly. The idea that states actually function along such lines or that they strive to carry out such a duty or to achieve such an end resides in the realm of wishful thinking. Although some states in their own self-interest may at some times protect some residents of their territories (other than the state’s own functionaries), such protection is at best highly unreliable and all too often nothing but a solemn farce. Moreover, it is invariably mixed with crimes against the very people the state purports to protect, because the state cannot even exist without committing the crimes of extortion and robbery, which states call taxation (Nock 1939), and as a rule, this existential state crime is but the merest beginning of its assaults on the lives, liberties, and property of its resident population.” ~ Robert Higgs, ‘If Men Were Angels: The Basic Analytics of the State versus Self-government’

“If taxation were voluntary we would get a government fit for purpose. One which accepted that not everyone needs a government to run their lives and so took a live and let live approach as long as everyone understood that the only ‘rule of law’ that mattered was ‘do no harm’.

There are many ways to skin a cat but pretending that a plutocratic authoritarian state created and supported by compulsory taxation of the individual’s income and most of the requirements for ‘contemporary life’ under pain of a financial penalty or loss of liberty, is a democracy is delusional.
Such an authoritarian entity cannot tolerate anyone who seeks to remain in the land it claims jurisdiction over and live a life outside of the tax dragnet

It’s not a case of I’m right you are wrong or trying to convince you to change what you think and feel it’s more a case of trying to throw off the blinkers imposed by corporate consumerism and its media to get people to see that flexibility is a better way to go not rigidly sticking with, defending and tweaking the current model which based on available evidence benefits a tiny minority and keeps the vast majority in a life of perpetual struggle.” ~ Bill, comment on Permaculture Research Institute of Australia’s blog, January 24th, 2014

“The World Bank is… devoted to state-run corporate capitalism. Established and managed by a multitude of national governments, the World Bank promotes managed trade by which politically-connected individuals and corporations enrich themselves at the expense of the poor and the middle class. Western governments tax their citizens to fund the World Bank, lend this money to corrupt third world dictators, who abscond with the funds and then demand repayment, which is extracted through taxation from the poor Third World citizens, rather than from the government officials who were responsible for the embezzlement. It is in essence a global transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich. Taxpayers around the world are forced to subsidise the lavish lifestyle of Third World dictators and highly-paid World Bank bureaucrats who don’t even have to pay income taxes. “Let me tell you how it will be
There’s one for you, nineteen for me

          Cause I’m the taxman
          Yeah, I’m the taxman

Should five percent appear too small
Be thankful, I don’t take it all

          Cause I’m the taxman
          Yeah, I’m the taxman

(If you drive a car, car) I’ll tax the street
(If you try to sit, sit) I’ll tax your seat

The Titan story was strung out until a few days had passed after Hunter’s plea deal was announced. I don’t know how anyone with any brains at all can’t see the double-dealing with this administration.

Speaking of what the media’s going to cover, when trans-men break the law they’re referred to as cross-dressers or “men in drag.” Let’s see how widely this is reported:

“Four children who were found in a disturbing South Boston apartment alongside a dead man over the weekend have been taken into state custody as officials investigate why they were in the presence of alcohol, drugs, and sex toys, Gov. Maura Healey said Wednesday.

A Boston Fire Department incident report said first responders found the children, who are 5 to 10 years old, on Saturday morning in “extremely unsanitary conditions” and in a back bedroom where an adult male was in the process of hiding them. The Boston Fire Department incident report said six other adults, “who appeared to be male, were seen in the apartment.” Sources tell the Herald the men were dressed in drag.”

SW I saw this the other day but can’t remember where. It brought to mind the recent scandal in Atlanta about a well to do male guy couple pimping out their adopted young boys. Such a sad story knowing these criminals prey upon neglected low income children.

There is not enough rope in the world but I would consider flamenwerfer as a good alternative.

          • BackRowHeckler June 23, 2023 at 8:54 pm #

What made that story even more egregious is that the adopted boys were described as handicapped. And besides pimping the boys out to other faggots they were molesting the boys themselves.

Here’s to hoping these two gentlemen are properly dealt with by their fellow inmates inside the Georgia State Prison System. Prisoners don’t look kindly on Child Molesters.

An RV drone has found it in pieces not far from the Titanic. It’s assumed that the Sub decompressed and was crushed like a coke can. At that depth the sea is unforgiving. There is no room for mistakes and failure is not an option. If you decide to go down to a depth like that you had better have all your ducks in a row and a very quick action Plan B if something should go wrong. Otherwise you’re just flirting with Davy Jones.

        • Ron Anselmo June 23, 2023 at 11:07 am #

Bill – you miss my point. Doesn’t the whole story seem a little bit silly? Just a little?

Been out of the study of hydrodynamics for a minute, but I’m going to take a stab at it.

            Water at 62.41 lbs./CuFt x 13,000 Ft = 811,330 lbs. vertical pressure.

            The 811,330 lbs./144 SqIn = 5,634 psi. Brutal pressure.

Probably some adjustment for buoyancy that I’ve forgotten, which would factor the total psi lower.

Keep in mind that deep level submersibles have visited places like the Mariana Trench (10,000 meter depth) for over 60 years and this is the first incident of catastrophic failure for this type of machine.
The technology is well known and there are engineering standards and certifications in place.

Unfortunately those weren’t followed with predictable results. Get ready for more absolutely fantastic financial and technological failures fueled by woke attitudes.

Example: The US Gubmint will implode due to woke stupidity. The implosion will not be caused by any resource constraint but by financial greed and ineptness. Dumbness is self correcting.

“Keep in mind that deep level submersibles have visited places like the Mariana Trench (10,000 meter depth) for over 60 years….”

        Um, not exactly.
The first to do it was Trieste in 1960.
Then, for over 50 years, until 2012, NO ONE duplicated this very difficult feat.
Since 2012, approximately 21 additional dives have taken place; hardly an everyday occurrance.
It is still a difficult and hazardous undertaking.

But I do get your point.
The technology DOES exist today to do these kinds of dives, but the OceanGate Company ignored the lessons of successful tech in favor of a very highly questionable design.

        • Yirgach June 23, 2023 at 5:05 pm #

Thanks Freddie, I didn’t mean to imply visiting the bottom of the Mariana Trench was like booking a flight from LAX to JFK, but it’s starting to happen…

Maybe Rush should have swallowed his pride and allowed a third party to inspect and certify, like Marine Technology Society’s Submarine Committee:

“Most of the companies in this industry that are building submersibles and deep submersibles follow a fairly well-established framework of certification and verification and oversight, through classification societies

We have submarines all over the world diving 12,000 to 20,000 feet every day of the year for research, We know very well how to build and how to design these machines and how to operate them safely.”

      • mrs_saj June 23, 2023 at 4:19 pm #

Speaking of technological failures, in the realm of of air travel, I used to take around twelve flights a year. Now, because I know most of the pilots have taken the clot shot, I’m down to two a year. Is this risk free? No, but it is reduced risk from twelve a year in 2023. But two now is probably higher risk than twelve was pre-2020.

        • Yirgach June 23, 2023 at 5:13 pm #

Yes air travel has a new dimension of safety, how many vaxes/boosters have the pilots had? Is that impolite to ask?

Our personal irony is that we have racked up over 1M FF miles in travel during the course of managing global clinical drug trials for 20 years. Finally retired but don’t want to spend FF miles on air travel, cuase we know full well what the implications are. Don’t want to visit the Titanic either…

          • mrs_saj June 24, 2023 at 6:32 pm #

Evaluating risk is a funny thing. It isn’t exactly mathematical, so there’s no one right answer. Each of us must decide what is right for us.

That stinks about your air miles. Can they be converted into anything else?

    • ThorsHammer June 24, 2023 at 4:16 pm #

      @ Beryl

      Back to ancient history—

Donald Trump was running for the presidency with Rudy Giuliani serving as his trusted advisor. Trump’s schedule was grueling, going from one packed stadium to another. Must have been trying for a man of his age.

Covid19 was the New Big Thing, and Giuliani heard that there was a Russian doctor in a borough of New York who was having great success treating the virus with a protocol of common non-prescription drugs. He arranged a video interview with Dr. Vladimir Zelenco which I recorded. It was pulled off of YouTube two days later and the dust bin lid sealed with duct tape so it would never see the light of day.

Candidate Trump started feeling ill from all the stress of campaigning, so he checked himself into Walter Reed. His doctors diagnosed him as infected with the new Covid virus. So Trump went home, called up Rudi, obtained the Zelenco formula from him, and took the first of three recommended dosages. Next Monday he was back campaigning at full steam.

      The sequel to this experience:

Through widespread use of the invalid and non- applicable PCR test, Pfizer and all it’s captive Medical Doctors managed to turn this new flu variant into a world wide pandemic. Dr. Fauci and the CEO of Pfizer met with The Donald and convinced him that he would be a revered hero if he became known as the Savior who helped them put the new miracle “vaccine” into every citizen’s arm.

And the rest is History. Billions of $$$ in profit and hundreds of thousands of deaths worldwide.

ps: I took the active ingredient of the Zelenco formula for two years while I lived in malaria prone areas of South America. Neither I nor millions of Africans who took quinine as an anti- malaria preventive contacted Covid19. As a matter of fact the entire continent of Africa was largely immune to Covid with the exception of cities where people used Westernized medical practices and were “vaccinated.”

Ultimately a cancer destroys itself but not until it has destroyed its host and that is what is going to end the Democrats because it will end everything. —“Dr.” Jill and the orderly in charge of Brandon’s bedpan were in the guest bedroom doing what non-Woke couples usually do under such circumstances.
—“Sniffer” pushes the call button for his diaper to be changed.
      —No one responds.
—In desperation Joe tries to change it himself.
—He falls face first into the toilet, knocks himself out, and drowns.
—The entire world celebrates—with the exception of 80,000 American and 15,000 German Sheeple.
—The fore-mentioned Sheeple all commit Hari-kari by drowning themselves in vats of sheep dip.
—The Joe’s End celebration is extended to last an entire week and made into a national holiday.

“Finally, the US of A has a President who rose to office by Constitutional means without utilizing digital vote fraud, gerrymandering or ballot stuffing.”

We’ve already had one: Gerald Ford (born Leslie King…).

I appreciate your efforts at prognostication. I used to get it wrong once in awhile myself when I started out…

The Ho will never be President. She will be shot by “Russia-loving white nationalists” before Valentine’s Day. The Hildebeast will be installed as VP. Then the Big Guy will retire – as one of our “most-loved Presidents”.

Barry-O willing to play VP after having been P? Never. In fact, playing the role of President again would be a step down for him. Nope, it’s a lifetime of playing grabass with Richard Branson and Scarlett Johansen from now on.

Big Mike? What about him? He will stand on the sidelines and bitch about white people – as he has done his entire adult life.

Presidential election in 2024 cancelled due to “Russian interference” (we will be – unofficially of course – at war with Russia by then) – and because the Hildebeast can’t even win a fraudulent election. We have already had our last Presidential selection, we just haven’t realized it yet.

    • Disaffected June 23, 2023 at 10:31 am #

Ol’ SloJo will be sacrificed for the greater D party good and thrown on the slag heap sometime during the 2024 election cycle, probably after a planned economic collapse and a widening war in Ukraine and anywhere else the MIC can stick their genocidal snouts. “Mistakes were made” will be the motto of faux regret and a new model woke warrior will be generated and trotted out to much fanfare, especially among the young and impressionable. The actual election will be another epic Hollywood production for ratings only, with the actual outcome a foregone conclusion from the very start. The theme of he next administration will be a decidedly cynical “How do you like us now?” The underlying message for those astute enough to perceive it will of course still be “There Is No Alternative (TINA).”

The post-WWII “Cold War” was simply a test between competing groups of Marxists to see if the Lenin/Stalin boots-your-neck totalitarian strongman path was superior to the Gramscian long road pursued in Europe, Australia, Canada and US. As it turns out, the subversive, long march with its psychological control and manipulation was wildly successful. So successful, that the outright terror campaign of the east was shut down and packed up after a couple decades. Those in the west thought they had “won” the Cold War, when in fact, they were the biggest losers and they had been even more thoroughly and subtly reconstructed than their Russian and eastern counterparts. Now the program is moving at a breakneck pace in the West, while, in some areas of the east, the other approach shows its failure, in that there those areas are the last outposts of any semblance of western culture.

Russia is currently making a move to exit the WHO.

Naturally Biden and the Neocons are all in on staying with WHO’s global reset.

If RFK wants to stir the pot and bring the scum to the top he should give a speech on how he would also exit the WHO’s totalitarian “pandemic” plan for all nations.

          • MaryQueen June 23, 2023 at 7:59 pm #

            Abbywood is misinformed:

“There is a fun new meme spreading across “pro-Russia” Telegram channels, and certain corners of Twitter: “Russia is withdrawing from the WHO! It’s finally happening!”

The source for this exciting viral claim is a Politico article titled, “Russia takes first steps to withdraw from WTO, WHO.” It is dated May 18, 2022.

I am not sure if the people who shared this article were aware that it was more than a year old. Possibly they knew, but nonetheless thought it was somehow still relevant to Moscow’s relationship with the World Health Organization.

If that was their assumption, I’m saddened to report they were very wrong.

First, if anyone actually took the time to read this article (it seems almost nobody did), they would have quickly discovered that it was not detailing an initiative from the Kremlin, or the Health Ministry, or the Foreign Ministry. Politico reported on comments made by State Duma Deputy Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy, who announced he was exploring options, at the legislative level, which could potentially lead to Russia’s withdrawal from the WHO and the WTO.

Absolutely nothing of substance came from this announcement, as this blog reported in excruciating detail more than a year ago. And, after following this story very closely, I continued to provide regular updates about Moscow’s abusive, suicidal relationship with Dr. Tedros.”

Lefties are more likely to live in large cities 2. Lefties are more likely to be vaxxinated and 3. They are less likely to own firearms. None of this bodes well for the left based on where I see things going.

Another thing to consider is, the trials would’ve been in DC. 95% Democrat DC. A place where you can’t get a fair trial because the jury pool will exonerate a Democrat, convict a Republican, and hang itself if it’s overseeing a trial involving the Woke. After the first two trials of conspirators ended with juries ignoring the evidence, no doubt Durham said, “Fuck this shit! I’m not wasting anymore time, money, and effort prosecuting cases where the defendants will walk, to the detriment of everyone involved with them.” Or something like that, anyway. Balless? Maybe. But sometimes there’s just no fucking way you can win, or that actual justice can be served. And that, unfortunately, is where we are.

I have never subscribed to the conspiracy theory about Michelle Obama’s gender transformation. But I can say I’ve seen some videos that beg the question, what is up with her crotch?

And I can say that the internet stories are gathering steam. Even if it is not believed by the left, it is no longer unheard of by left leaning voters.

I just don’t want to pass judgement on someone living their life. My beef with Michelle Obama is that she is superlatively UNQUALIFIED for the role of POTUS. She hated the political DC world. She has no work experience that would remotely prepare her for the role. And she did such a bang up job at University of Chicago hospitals as their VP of Community and External Affairs that they did not fill the post after she left to go play first lady. Hence, it was not a real position, just a perk for state senator Barack.

        • tuco22 June 23, 2023 at 11:39 am #

What’s up with her crotch is that “she” doesn’t wear a cup and a slip when wearing tight sheath-like dresses. Honestly, real women just don’t have bulges in their crotch areas.

          • Islander June 23, 2023 at 12:16 pm #

Isn’t this why they have the “tuck” bathing suits, etc.?

Of course I expect these contraptions are not good for genital health.

I agree that there has always been something weird about that family.

I am always curious when a good-looking guy or gal ends up marrying a troll.

And Barry was a good-looking guy. Maybe too cute?

I think we know for sure that Obama was “mentored” politically by the Pritzker family, one of whose high-profile members is a trans-woman (ugly as sin).

            Food for thought . . .

        • Paula D June 23, 2023 at 12:20 pm #

I think you mean “raises the question”.

Begging the question is a logical fallacy that means making a statement that assumes that which is not proven, and then moves on to a point that relies on that assumption.

”In classical rhetoric and logic, begging the question or assuming the conclusion (Latin: petitio principii) is an informal fallacy that occurs when an argument’s premises assume the truth of the conclusion, instead of supporting it.”.

          • Islander June 23, 2023 at 12:36 pm #

            Thanks, Paula.

I have more or less given up on this one.

“begging the question” means, basically, avoiding/evading/bystepping a question, or pretending to answer a question without doing so.

Other things can be “begged” in this sense besides questions.

            M-W Unabridged gives this:
            “evade, sidestep ”

The Am. Heritage Dict. gives this:

            a. To evade; dodge: a speech that begged the real issues.
            b. To take for granted without proof: beg the point in a dispute.”

An important question that needs/”begs” to be asked can be expressed as “a question that begs to be asked [or answered].”

          • Jarek June 23, 2023 at 1:08 pm #

Closely allied to circular logic. No one in the documentary “What Is a Woman?” was able to define woman or feminine without using the words in the definition.

Indeed, the above could be an example or type of begging the question.

          • mrs_saj June 23, 2023 at 2:27 pm #

“superlatively UNQUALIFIED for the role of POTUS” The still (somehow) revered philosopher-emperor Marcus Aurelius fostered and then foisted his son Commodus (also considered superlatively UNQUALIFIED by contemporaries) upon the hapless Roman Empire, even though Marcus could have done the Empire and world history a great favor simply by putting Commodus to death before Marcus himself died. Assuming the dems win the election with Kennedy, they have four years of another controllable, known entity.

    Nice phraseology, that.

    • C.O.Jones June 23, 2023 at 11:03 am #

Agreed, Beryl – JHK really is the best writer on the web!

It is plain for the sentient to see that Durham is a deep state lickspittle who did exactly what his deep state boss told him to do – run out the clock and then feign indignity when ridiculed by uniparty congresstrolls.

What eludes me is that nobody asks who appointed his deep state boss, the Epstein connected, Bob Costas in a fat suit, Aitch Dubya servant Bill Barr. That piece of work was appointed by the same reality show actor who appointed the witch hunt master – Chris Wray – to head up the FBI. The same spray-tanned ex-resident who shows up when indicted for “crimes” for which the statute of limitations is long expired. Instead of just laughing and giving the finger to a prosecutor who indicts him for taking his declassified documents home with him, he provides the distraction of showing up to be booked with the cameras rolling and the tongues wagging. That was a better distraction than the amateur sub imploding.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I admire Mr. Trump. Doesn’t mean I like or agree with him but I admire him. He’s a toxic male and in today with a lack of toxic masculinity I as a male seek out and look for real men who aren’t afraid to be men. However, Mr. Trump is not a politician and it shows in who he chose to fill his cabinet positions. Mr. Trump really needs to just go away. He needs to retire to his personal island and spend the remainder of his days sipping caramel lattes and sampling fondu meats. He’ll never sit in the White House again, we all know that.

RFK’s people were talking about how big his crowds were, and how you don’t see that kind of momentum this early in the game, as if that meant something.

Didn’t we all just see a man who could draw crowds the size of a small city “lose” to someone who could barely draw double digit numbers of random onlookers?

      Like I’ve said, naive.

      • mrs_saj June 23, 2023 at 11:42 am #

I was drawn in by the disparity of the crowd size in the Trump v. Biden match-up. it made the 2020 loss all the more shocking and painful.

Jim’s quote brought back memories of something I’d read about during the heyday of the “Steal” claims.

“I am alleging, with evidence…” Mr.

This reminds me so much of an article written by a forensic accountant who had investigated, on his own dime, the claims that the 2020 election was stolen. First he explained that all elections have errors and inaccuracies. This happens and will always happen. It is proof of nothing. Then he went through a twenty point list of the major irregularities that he uncovered. The reason he was so adamant that the election had been stolen from Trump is that every single irregularity FAVORED BIDEN. And that, is a statistical impossibility. Honest mistakes will sometimes favor one candidate and sometimes favor the other. What he uncovered was so consistently one sided, he knew the fix was in. And this was a man who claimed to be apolitical I just wish I could remember his name.

        • Beryl of Oyl June 23, 2023 at 11:51 am #

His name doesn’t matter because no one is looking.

          • Blackbird June 23, 2023 at 8:07 pm #

I’m looking – but yeah, I’m no one… I’d really like to read that article. Nothing like a good statistical analysis to get the mind gears churning.

        • RD June 23, 2023 at 12:20 pm #

Pat Buchanan detailed the list of irregularities in an article of his around that time.

          • mrs_saj June 23, 2023 at 2:37 pm #

It wasn’t Buchanan. And I like some things about Pat Buchanan. But I was so intrigued with this no name forensic accountant because he handled dry, boring investigations involving lots of paperwork that no one in the public realm ever saw. He was used to catching people committing white collar crime because of a lack of randomness. It was a great read and clearly made an impression on me.

          • RD June 23, 2023 at 2:41 pm #

Right. I wasn’t saying it was Buchanan who did the analysis, but I believe that he referenced that gentleman you are speaking of in his article, which might give you a place to start to find the original…

It’s even worse than that. I think it was finished long before that.

One example is when the MLK “holiday” was rammed down our throats. Decent people at the time knew MLK was the scum of the earth, but all opponents were slandered as racists, and the fed gov sealed the docs a’la the Kennedy assassination. When Jesse Helms and John East (and several others) protested that it was crucial to review the documents before any decision could be made to declare a national “holiday” for a philandering, plagiarizing, communist dupe and fraud, they were shouted down. To the credit of Helms and East, they then did their own investigation, interviewing every living FBI agent and official who would speak to them and publishing the information for all to see. In the end, the King “holiday” was rammed down the throats of the American public in the same manner that King was known to treat underaged prostitutes during his various orgies and sex parties.

Could be when Andrew Jackson created the Democrat Party and its platform of eternally subjugating blacks and anybody else who gets in their way. Coukd be the Civil War, when the South seceded over what it felt was unconscionable treatment by the Northern states that were run by bankers and business interests which wouldn’t let the South go because of the economic ruin that would bring yo them. Could be the Progressive Era, when the government was taken over by wannabe messiahs intent upon creating God’s Kingdom on Earth through an administrative state molded in their image. Could be the communist-infested FDR administration. Or Lyndon Brainless Johnson’s. Or Nixon, through opening the door to Mao’s China as well as the regulatory agencies he created. Or Carter, the forerunner to Clinton, The One, and Bicycle Joe. Pick one. My late Dad thought it was FDR, but I’d go with the Civil War as the genesis of all this crap.

          • Uncle Bob June 25, 2023 at 2:38 pm #

To complete my thought, Lincoln wasn’t a savior of the Union so much as a tool of New England businessmen who were afraid they’d lose their access to cheap cotton if the Confederacy succeeded. Ditto Boston and New York bankers, who held loans on slaves and land that, if the CSA successfully broke away, could no longer serve as collateral. So 750,000 Americans died to make these interests whole. Meanwhile, the freed slaves, no longer worth anything since they weren’t slaves, and being seen as the cause of the war thanks to Republican propaganda, were terrorized in the South, and were unwanted in the North. Congrats on your newfound freedom — now go drop dead.

BTW, the Emancipation Proclamation was an executive order saying slaves in areas in rebellion against the federal government were free. Sounds good — except it had the same legal power as an executive order saying white South African farmers are free from assault or execution by ANC death squads in farm areas in South Africa. Thus, Juneteenth is, and has always been, a holiday built upon a loe, since slaves found by US troops after then end of the war couldn’t be freed by the EP because they did not live in areas in open rebellion against the US government. Good luck explaining that to anyone without being called a racist and possibly losing your ass, though.

What gives YOU the right to interfere!? They soon find out. Then the real Kingdom is established (not the ersatz ones pushed by Hitler, Stalin, and Woodrow Wilson, among others).

    • Prospero June 23, 2023 at 1:18 pm #

The Federal Reserve Act allowed a consortium of international bankers to loan the United States money which would need to be repaid with interest. (By the way, the Federal Reserve is no more Federal than Federal Express.) But, where would all of the interest payments on the ever increasing national debt come from?

Passed by Congress on July 2, 1909, and ratified February 3, 1913, the 16th amendment established Congress’ right to impose a Federal income tax. Since then, the inflation rate imposed on US fiat currency since 1913 has exploded. As a result, an item costing $1.00 in 1913 now costs an average of $30.72, for a 2972.00% cumulative rate of inflation.

Of course, certain non-essentials, such as large screen televisions, are dropping in price. However, necessities such as food, rent, and energy are now becoming unaffordable. The interest owed on our current national debt of $32 trillion will eventually bankrupt the nation.

Is this not one of the top two obsessions of U.S. Republicans? The fixation on the Federal Reserve and hardcore libertarian balanced budgets which, by the way, are not popular with most voters as it implies cutting “evil” entitlements which most people need to survive old age and is an election loser on any polling metric.

The Constitution of 1788 was overthrown when Abraham Lincoln basically told a bunch of sovereign states that they could not secede and then unleashed General Sherman to punish them and their citizens daring to secede. At that time the States’ rights of the Constitution disappeared overthrowing the critical balance of power between the States and the Federal and destroyed the “union.” Wiping out everything our Founding Fathers compromised for.

It was officially sealed when the Senate became no longer selected by the State Legislatures and became nothing more than a glorified House of Representatives.

The country was founded on a compromise that shared power between the States, the Federal Government and the people. The States lost their power after Lincoln. The people lost their power with Woodrow Wilson and the advent of the income tax and property taxes. The Federal Government has all the power now.

So what do we do about? Got me. Vote? My ass. Contact my congressman? My ass. Get my gun and march on Washington? My ass. So what do I do? The only thing I can do. Try to correct my personal deficiencies and be a better person than I was and hope everyone else tries to do the same thing.

Thanks, Woodchuck. I am familiar with DiLorenzo and have read some of his books. His book on mercantilism is very good. If you can hunt them down, look for his speeches to The League of the South. Good stuff. There are so many great Southern historians and writers. If you are interested, look at the Abbeville Institute website. There is a trove of wonderful essays, books, podcasts, etc. exploring all manner of Southern history and culture. Donald Livingston founded Abbeville and just stepped aside last year (he is in his 80’s.) Brion McLanahan is now the director and is doing a great job. McLanahan is the last PHD student of Clyde Wilson. Wilson, still alive and in is mid-80’s was the founder of Southern Partisan magazine and was responsible to the collected works of John C. Calhoun. Wilson was a professor of political science at South Carolina for many years. Wilson also founded Shotwell Publishing which is a prolific publishing company releasing all sorts of books about Southern history, culture, cuisines, music, etc.

People who live for money will cheat. It’s everything to them after all.

Regulated free-market capitalism. Square triangles in other words. But yes, it must be done. And they will hate you for it.

Some things are naturally very big. Such essential industries must be carefully controlled. Who better than those who have risen to the top in them? IF they are loyal to the People and the State. We need a new kind of man…..

You mentioned “blobs of gelatin.” I am stunned by the number of grotesquely obese people. I was in a prominent grocery store with my son a few days ago and he and I were playing a game of “count the thin people.” There weren’t that many. The overwhelming majority of people I saw were obese, tattooed and wearing clothing that was too small to hide the excess cellulose. Pathetic.

We have turned into a disgusting people, ripe with iniquity, greed, gluttony and sin. if there is a God I often wonder what he/she/it is doing. Playing golf? Letting us rot in the compost heap of our own making? Weeping and wondering what he/she/it created? Laughing with his buddies as they watch us?

I always enjoy the movie Prometheus where the “engineer” race seeded Earth and created humanity and was later discovered to be sending the alien bio weapon to Earth to wipe out their own creation. Fascinating premise.

        • mrs_saj June 23, 2023 at 2:56 pm #

I love the Prometheus and Alien: Covenant additions to the Alien movie series by Ridley Scott. So, so cool, but they must be watched in order. And the release dates of the movies make it all the more difficult to do it right.

Anyway, I’m glad your game was count the thin people. Pointing at every fat person that walks by is a losing proposition. Very politically incorrect. I am sure this will keep you up at night.

Speaking of political correctness, OceanGate, that lost their sub this week, is on tape talking about their DEI (diversity, etc, etc) program. They were priding themselves on not hiring 50 year old white military guys as their submarine pilots because 50 year old while male submarine pilots weren’t inspiring enough to get kids into the field of submarine technology.

I think they should rearrange the order of the name of their DEI program.

In the last 50 years most of the food we eat is loaded with chemicals that our bodies in no way have adapted to. The water we drink is full of prescription meds that can’t be purified out (hormones, antidepressants) and most importantly, cows, pigs, chicken have been pumped full of antibiotics. 70% of all antibiotics used in the US are for animals. Antibiotic use is known to cause obesity as are hormones and all psychotropic drugs.

I know that’s not the whole story by any means but people eat cheap food, or fast food or easy to fix food. It’s out of control but I do get your point about their choice of clothing and lack of modesty or common sense.

          • Paula D June 23, 2023 at 10:38 pm #

My son’s 4th grade class was assigned a science experiment.

One of his classmate’s father was a pig farmer, so she took two baby pigs, and gave one antibiotics, and the other one none.

It was actually pretty amazing. The antibiotic-fed pig was twice as big as the other one.

I guess antibiotics cause obesity in pigs, also.

          • Soul Forensics June 24, 2023 at 12:40 am #

Don’t let the overuse use of chemicals in foods, and other environmental factors, cloud the real reason for so much obesity: CICO (calories in, calories out).

        • Ron Anselmo June 23, 2023 at 5:14 pm #

Three weeks ago, chaperoning a four-day high school graduation Bahamas cruise for one of my sons and five of his friends, I was stunned by the shape of the majority of the people.

Shocking actually, but it finally dawned on me, this was not a representation of the general population. These people go on cruises, precisely for what the cruise offers; two things – 1) sitting on a chaise lounge by the pool, and 2) chowing down at the all-you-can-eat buffets – breakfast, brunch, lunch, snacks & dinner.

If people are more than 50 lbs. overweight, they should not be allowed on the boat. Trying to pass one giant fat girl by the edge of the pool, I said, “Excuse me”. She said, “I’m sorry, am I blocking your view?”, and I said, “No, you’re blocking the sun”.

It was like an eclipse – not kidding.

I spent a week in Japan a few years ago. Saw 3 fat people. I’m pretty sure 2 were Korean.

And don’t forget the sugar. Remember how a few years ago we were told fat was bad? How did they remove the fat, and maintain the flavor of all that yummy ultra-processed food? That’s right, they added sugar – mountains of it. (The second-most subsidized crop – after tobacco.) A single 20 oz. Mountain Dew has enough sugar to fulfill your dietary needs for 2 days. And a Super Big Gulp is how big? No wonder everyone – almost – has diabetes.

          • RD3 June 23, 2023 at 10:24 pm #

Diabetes is a desired outcome when you can prolong their lives with insulin, other prescription drugs, low GI meal plans, testing strips, special socks and clothing, prosthetics, walkers, etc. Its a whole cottage industry sprung up. Same with other ailment, disease, etc. Why prevent or cure something when you can turn it into a series of lifelong income streams?

Japan has a huge diabetes problem. Especially among the elderly. Mostly due to a change in diet from rice and carbs to more western sugar based foods. Fat plays a small role.

A curious thing, on the topic of gaslighting and distractions.

In this video, the background is that a president had to make some very unpopular decisions, and the people are very riled up. He has appealed to his agency heads or whoever they are, for ideas on how to calm the protests, which are on the verge of getting violent.

Starting aAt about the 3:06 mark and running to about 4:18, it’s the next day and he’s asking them what happened to the protestors.

Their explanation reminded me of what we have been seeing with the UFOs being trotted out.

At about the 3:52 to 3:54 mark, it gets rather astonishing, except that I can no longer be astonished by anything.

Remember this was on television back in 2015.

I never cease to be amazed at how little I know about Zelensky.

      • ThorsHammer June 23, 2023 at 6:07 pm #

Think a 3/4 scale man wearing a skin tight rubber suit with codpiece playing a piano with his penis in front of an audience. After you return from up chucking your breakfast, rest assured that you know everything you need to about Zelensky.

        • mrs_saj June 24, 2023 at 7:17 pm #

Now THAT I already knew. And I’ve seen the awful video of him in black leather pants, stiletto heels, and some kind of black crop top, dancing with three other similarly clad “men.”

That one made me want to hurl.

          • ThorsHammer June 24, 2023 at 8:19 pm #

Out on the Wyoming range we castrate calves bound for the meat wagon in the fall by closing a very tight rubber band over their ball sac which then dries up and falls off within a couple of weeks. An excellent start for Zelensky and his “friends.” Preferably live on television.

But it still wouldn’t make them women.

    • Islander June 23, 2023 at 12:48 pm #

I thought it was quite well known that Z first achieved national name recognition by playing the president of Ukraine in a comedy on TV.

The show was a series broadcast by the network owned by the oligarch who pushed Z into national politics.

      • Paula D June 23, 2023 at 1:43 pm #

And as soon as Z was elected, the US went after that oligarch, stripping him of his wealth and indicting him for some sort of invented crime.

Then the US informed Zelensky that he was their bitch now, and the Right Sector thugs that surround him (as his ”body guard”) will keep him in line.

They made him an offer he couldn’t refuse. Like they told the Taliban in July, 2001, “a carpet of gold or a carpet of bombs”.
The Taliban refused the gold, and look what happened to them.

In Z’s case, I think it was “a carpet of gold and all the cocaine you can snort, or a bullet to the head”.

Z chose the money and coke. And now 250,000 Ukrainian men, and counting, are dead.
And Zelensky is looking pretty haunted.

        • ThorsHammer June 24, 2023 at 8:42 pm #

I don’t know about the Taliban refusing Gold, but I do know what happened to them. A few dozen rode into town firing their ancient Kalashnikovs in the air and the entire US Wokeforce Army fled in terror; leaving behind a billion dollars of war gear to sell on the black market.

However the MIC has learned from the past. For their participation in the Ukraine laundromat it was much cleaner to just bill the client for the guns and tanks and then don’t bother to deliver them. As long as the bribes on both sides are paid you can then perform the same shell game again.

          • benr June 26, 2023 at 9:13 am #

Anyone that thinks some back-room deal was not concocted where in Biden gets his vig of the 80 billion in gear is not paying attention.
Like the mob everyone is paying someone somewhere.
The Taliban were not popular because they messed with the poppy fields and we can’t have that.

      • Beryl of Oyl June 23, 2023 at 1:44 pm #

It was known, but not well known at first. It took time for that fact to get around. I did not know that Ukraine had elected a comedian until the Trump phone call issue came up.

Not everyone watches Netflix. I noticed when the media here started to talk about it, it was like The Atlantic talking about the crazy coincidence that a guy who played the president went on to become the president, and I also saw the claim that it was playing that role on TV that inspired Zelensky to run for office.

What everybody was leaving out was that he did not just play the president on that show.

        He wrote the thing!

        That changes everything.

Then his show just happened to be shown on the Network in America that started hiring people like the Obamas, and the Markles.

Knowing Z was a comedian before he was president and knowing all the planning and preparation that went on are two different things.

People still don’t know much about him, we keep hearing the idea that he went to all this trouble over a mansion he already had.

        Nobody does that.

I’m just amazed at how much the show has put out in plain sight, that people don’t even know is there.

Like using a SARS virus to distract people.

        • Islander June 23, 2023 at 3:24 pm #

          “Not everyone watches Netflix.”

What does Netflix have to do with it?
          I have never watched Netflix.

However, Z’s background was well known when the 2019 election took place in Ukraine. Zelensky campaigned and was elected as a “peace candidate.”

Of course I, unlike most of my countrypersons, had been watching Ukraine developments closely since November 2013.

I don’t know why everyone was not doing the same, at least after the Maidan coup in 2014.

Especially when it became clear that events in the Ukr were closely connected to developments in Syria, and Russia’s successful intervention in that stewpot. .

          • Beryl of Oyl June 23, 2023 at 4:46 pm #

Netflix was where many Americans first heard of Zelensky and learned much about Ukraine either, aside from what was in the news about downed plains and stuff.

America is a big place. We don’t spend as much time (most of us) paying attention to foreign affairs as people in other countries do, for the most part.

Ask random people in the street about the Maidan coup they won’t know what you are talking about.

What did Americans know or care about Syria?

Whether or not we needed to take in 65 k “Syrian refugees”.

Some people belive what’s on the news, some people are busy with their accomplishments and their full lives.

        • Islander June 23, 2023 at 9:27 pm #

Beryl: I assume that people who comment here are more aware than the average American dude or dudette.

The problem with all the more optimistic viewpoints that eventually all things on the USS America will self correct and the ship will right itself under the careful control of the more conservative patriotic folks is that the people, the population of the USA is now a Liberal, no, progressive mess in the majority and will always vote in the Mob or its corollaries as long as they keep shoveling out the cash in welfare. The country is no longer a middle class, hard working group of people that cares about itself.

The Dems are not after controlling the ballot box, they are after elimination of the vote. They want Deep State control of everything, Uniparty, elimination of the Constitution and its replacement with a socialistic autocratic system like China. I believe that their ideal, their credo will produce a country that will make the CCP and Russia look like thriving capitalistic states.

All the folks that see war, especially nukes, should relax and go on to other problems. War is obsolete, economic competition is the future. China does not need to go to war to get Taiwan, just wait out the loss of good will between DC and Taipei as the cowards in the Mob back away from Taiwan. The Taiwanese will clamor into China in droves.

BRICS++ is coming on fast now. Cuba is next. The Saudis are setting up OPEC to start cutting off America via oil. Once the IIC, idiot in charge, gets his way, AGW wise, oil will become scarce very quickly, dropping the US into a third class status. Watch Biden’s feeble attempt to weaken BRICS by wooing India fall right on its face.

Trump started to put us on an America First, MAGA track but the machinations of the Deep State have us back on the Welfare first pathway.

For those looking for a way out, leaving the USA behind may be the only recourse. Either by Balkanization or being an expat, as the recovery of 20th century America is, IMHO, impossible.

    • NickelthroweR June 23, 2023 at 12:59 pm #

Balkanization is the best outcome we can hope for.

Let us also not forget the massive increase in death, illness and sterility among the woke crowd. Between the vax and the push to sterilize their children, the woke have doomed themselves to extinction. It may take some time but it will happen.

      • Not_GeorgeT June 23, 2023 at 2:45 pm #

Balkanization, likely yes. Areas like the 8 state Northeast and the ‘Left Coast’ are already primed.

      • mrs_saj June 23, 2023 at 3:12 pm #

This is what has never made sense to me. The left has been playing a numbers game for quite some time using immigration as its weapon of choice. But the clot shots and the transgender movement will cut their numbers. Maybe they have figured that out and that is why 2022 and 2023 have been over the top years for illegal immigration. I don’t know. Maybe the numbers (vote tallies) no longer matter now that they’ve perfected “the steal.”

      • Wizard of the Saddle June 23, 2023 at 4:01 pm #

I agree. But Balkanization will not be possible until the FedGov is bankrupted and goes through sovereign default. At that point DC will no longer be able to fund its global warfare machine nor afford a large standing military.

That will actually be a good thing.

The military we once knew was tasked with defending America. That has not been true in some time now. The current military is Woke as Hell – led by ticket-punching, PC brass hats – and focused more on being used DOMESTICALLY to suppress the citizenry than on defending us from China, N. Korea, Iran, etc.

It will be a good thing when the entire Pentagon behemoth collapses due to insolvency.

Something similar happened to Britain between 1945 and the present day. His Majesty’s military might is but a wisp of the imperial force that once secured 1/5 of the globe for Britannia.

It is the way of all empires to collapse morally, fiscally, and finally militarily. We will be no different.

So patriots should keep prepping and sisters tight and watch this imperial state wither away. Like the Soviet Union, the collapse is liable to be sudden and unexpected and the center will not hold. DC will be so weak that they won’t be able to hold this union together by force no matter how much they might want to.

When you have no economic muscle left, you have no military muscle left…..and all power ultimately does flow from the barrel of a gun. Mao was right on that one thing.

The Chinese are a pragmatic people. They can read the proverbial tea leaves and it is obvious that America’s commitment to defending Taiwan ?? is no longer credible or serious.

Smart politicians in Taipei will put out quiet feelers to Beijing seeking to cut the best deal possible for reunification with the mainland. Otherwise the island will eventually be invaded and razed to he ground by the ChiComs who are concentrating on re-establishing total military air and naval control of the region surrounding the island.

Those living in Taiwan who don’t want to live under Beijing’s rule will immigrate abroad, just as many in Hong Kong did. In fact, millions likely will flee, seeing how Beijing eventually broke all of the agreements they made with Britain over the 1 country / 2 systems regime that was supposed to govern Hong Kong for 50 years.

Don’t think for one moment that RFK is not another pawn in the game.

Be leery, be humble. Understand that the people running the takeover are masters in manipulation and strategy.

Approach his candidacy while maintaining critical thought.

    What role could he serve?
The Bernie Sanders shell game has been played. Not even the dullest amongst us will fall for his bait & switch shtick.

They need a new entrant who will bring disenfranchised and disgruntled centrist Democrats back under the tent.
    They know that.
They know they need a slice of Trump’s populists.

Who could that be? Who will get the platform to feign interest in their concerns as he bows out and pleads with his followers to support the party nominee?

Because this WILL happen to RFK.
He will not get the nomination and he WILL stick with the party.

We’ll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song
I’ll tip my hat to the new Constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
    Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray

    We don’t get fooled again

In the 1850s, the impasse in the US was slavery and control of the government by admitting states split slave and free.

The country failed in the mid 1850s and the reaction was to create a more hawkish third party.

In 1856, Fremont lost running on the GOP ticket to Buchanan, considered to be one of the worst presidents.

In 1860, the GOP, with manipulation, elected Lincoln and brought on the Civil War which transformed America after killing hundreds of thousands.

    Is history going to rhyme?

    • Wizard of the Saddle June 23, 2023 at 4:21 pm #

President Buchanan gets a bum rap from modern day, university Woke bubble esconced, “history” professors and self-proclaimed “presidential historians” who all worship at the fee5 of Lincoln and FDR – the two presidents who did more to lay the groundwork for the ultimate destruction of our constitutional republic than any others.

Say what you want about Buchanan, but I have always admired him for having the integrity to refuse to violate the constitutional compact between the states by abusing the power of the federal government to use the military to allow one group of states coerce another group of states.

While Buchanan had his doubts about the constitutionality of secession, he was correct in his view that the federal executive did NOT possess the power to make war against the duly elected governments of the sovereign states and the people they represented.

The union was created by each state consenting to join it by ratifying the constitution. Once a state withdrew that consent it was no longer in that union nor subject to the federal constitution. A “voluntary” union that must be pinned together on the points of bloodied bayonets ain’t worth a bucket of warm horse piss.

      • RD June 23, 2023 at 6:29 pm #

You are correct, and what you said can be applied doubly to Franklin Pierce. Pierce, despite enormous personal troubles, had the courage to speak out often and publicly, and at great peril to he and his family, against the tyrant, Lincoln. Lincoln considered having him arrested, but was advised not to do so. Pierce and Buchanan deserve credit for trying to find a diplomatic solution. I am reminded that prideful little Vermont threatened secession 12 or 13 times during the early Republic, and each time, Southerners made concessions to prevent Vermont seceding.

    • Blackbird June 23, 2023 at 9:20 pm #

Buchanan has long been considered to be one of the worst Presidents for not preventing the War Between the States. Although I’ve never read what exactly he was supposed to do.

Lincoln has long been considered one of the greatest Presidents for bringing about the War of Northern Aggression.

However, since Buchanan is now being called “gay” for being unmarried, I expect his star will yet rise in the eyes of woke historians*. “Nancy Buchanan was one of the greatest Presidents ever! And an icon of style. The first Gay President!”

      *An obvious oxymoron.

Stunning? Well, I suppose that’s one way to describe the implosion that crushed these fools, though it happened so fast that I doubt any of their feeble brains had the time to register the emotion of being “stunned.” Lol…

But, yes, you are correct. They Regime no longer cares that we know that they are an illegitimate “government” doing illegitimate things.

That’s the moment you realize that the Republic of old is well and truly gone and what remains in its place is a Banana Republic – the national equivalent of the re-animated body of a human being that has become a Zombie.

Welcome to the Republic of the Walking Dead. Here is your host, Joe “The Corpse” Biden!

  25. BULLITT June 23, 2023 at 11:59 am #

I hate to tell you, but we will never ever see America Great Again. We have lost our will as a nation. People actually believe if they turn off the TV or their cell phone that things will get better because you know it’s America.
People fear the Government. There will be no protests since the threat of the D.C. Gulag is ever so present.
It’s nice to see Biden getting some attention on his criminal actions. Congress and the Supreme Court will do nothing. They are up to their ears in their own guilty activities. They are happy not stirring the pot. If we investigated them like we are investigating Biden, we wouldn’t have anyone left to run the Country.
This nation is finished. July 4th will be a reminder to all that we no longer have a nation. There won’t be much to celebrate on that special day. Maybe, we will celebrate the death of a great nation.

Fantastic. Eugene Genovese was a New York-born communist. Later in his life, he was converted to Southern nationalism, and eventually was baptized as a Catholic. He once said that Southerners were the most difficult audiences to speak to because you couldn’t pull the wool over their eyes. They knew the history of their family, town, state, and region, and if you told a lie, they would stand up and call you on it, Conversely, he said that speaking to Ivy League academics was the easiest because they knew nothing.

Bile. Howzzit go, “My gorge is rising?” Prelude to vomiting or a stomach ulcer bursting bright crimson and tell-tale leaking from mouth’s corners. Precisely that kind of feeling.
I can’t think of anyone else but JK to paint the picture he did in this latest episode. That it is sickening to read in no way detracts from the honesty of its premise however.

Just when I think I’ve absorbed all I’ve needed to know about the villainous psychopathic cabal that has this once proud nation in its grasp, I have to stop and come to terms again with the fact that their “organization” never sleeps, it has become so vested in the mismanagement of this country that it has its own planetary centrifugal force with all of its nasty enablers who are true believers in their ‘Enterprise’. Their ‘Enterprise’ so antithetical to this nation’s Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Wasn’t it Cheney who said “We make our own reality.” Or was it Rove? No matter. It was the “Republicans” doing the talking at that moment.
There it was. Spoken. Articulated for all who were watching and listening to feel.
So here we are watching with dread (and righteous anger) those who have stolen the gems that make our own living within the limits of the Law a fools errand.

The armed and willing to use deadly force 87,000. Remember that number and their ostensible raison d’ être?
The Republicans huffed and puffed about how they would cancel that Biden business forthrightly, and oh did they! They lopped off 1200 or so from the number.
    “Heckuva job, Brownie.”

The flood of southern border crossers continues not only unabated, but in increasingly large numbers as well. Mostly military-aged men, many claiming to be Venezuelan, but actually that was only their point of departure in this hemisphere. (Western) They are being bussed in from the Darien Gap in Panama. Shelters. Food, medical assistance under the auspices of the UN and our own (“our own” he says) Department of Homeland Security.
When the ‘Enterprise’ got away with foisting that totalitarian-sounding name for an agency on the nation, I knew there were darker days ahead. And oh yeah, this goes back to September 11, 2001 every bit as much as it goes back to November 22, 1963.

“And you know something’s happening, but you don’t know what it is…
    do you, Mr Jones?”

Bill Barr. Remember that name. Once CIA…. always. Made his bones getting the Iran Contra boys off the hook. Worked for GHW Bush at the time.
    Long road ahead, pilgrims.

Large groups of Chinese men of military age are passing through the Darien Gap. They appear to be in superb condition – far less exhausted than everyone else. Once they reach America, they wash up and put on clean clothes that they have kept sealed in their packs.

Then they disappear into our country. They apparently have money since they aren’t hanging around on the streets waiting for services. They get on busses and trains. Where do they go?

Chinese men of military age or Chinese military men?

      • Edge Lord June 23, 2023 at 2:26 pm #

This whole “of military age” is artful misconception.

Most laborers are the same demographic: young, male, superfluous, expendable, and with limited potential.

The vast majority of people pouring over the open border (using a DHS created app no less) are the same.

The Chinese do not need to invade. By the time the infiltrators destroy this country people will prefer them.

        • anmariwakaranai June 23, 2023 at 3:11 pm #

This does not negate the fact of asian males coming in via the Darien gap. 😉

Just the top brass, friend. The rank and file, not so much. The agency has not contacted me a single time in the 31 years since I bailed out. I’m rather thankful about that, actually.

      • DaveO907 June 24, 2023 at 4:55 pm #

@Wizard— I’ll certainly take your word on it, I’m more reflecting on the likes of Barr, a second generation type whose father was OSS first. The “legacy” types around whom so many events of consequence appear in their files, and to some extent, public.

Barr in particular was in deep from the get-go from what I’ve read about him from different sources. Including telling Bill Clinton while still Governor of Arkansas that those in D.C. had their eyes on him for the White House if he didn’t have any more fuck-ups that his brother Roger had perpetrated via his own coke / alcohol habit. This in relation to the Mena era which indicates Barr was “in the know,” let alone the “flow.”

The books and interviews by Prouty were real eye-openers for me, he being witness to the OSS to CIA transition as the military liaison between the CIA and the President, his office in the White House. A thoroughly fascinating man, a real-life Forrest Gump (but exceptionally brainy) with all of his WW II background including participating in the wartime conferences in Tehran and Yalta. (He was sent to Antarctica during the week of November 22, 1963 to get him as far as possible from the action.)

Another was a FB friend Robert “Tosh” Plumlee, a Company pilot who ran guns to both Batista and Castro under the Agency’s auspices. Lots of trips to Nicaragua, etc, too. He was heartbroken about what happened to Lee Oswald.

Whitney Webb did a helluva job tracing the path of the powerful in her series on the Jewish Mob and FBI and then put her various series in a two volume book “One Nation Under Backmail” which is a real barnburner, albeit exhaustive for details. It’s on Amazon.

A final note, I have a friend whose both parents were in from OSS to the Dulles years, and were living in fear for all of the things they knew. They were relieved to get out of there, but never quite shook the feeling that Dulles’s tentacles were ever near and dangerous.

  27. Mark1 June 23, 2023 at 12:05 pm #

There will be no asterisk by Joe Biden’s name in the future history books on what happened to the late great USA. The laudatory accolades will be heaped on Xi the 1st who conquered our country by paying off and installing a useful idiot to destroy all that was good once.

  28. ThorsHammer June 23, 2023 at 12:07 pm #

    @David Webb

When I was a freshman in University my roommate was an older guy who had been a crewman on a Trident missile submarine. He told a story about a test launch they had participated in. The Senator from California organized a show and tell complete with the finest Napa wine for his fellow lawmakers. The Trident’s Admiral pulled all the missiles out of their sub and had them tuned up and their nuke warheads removed.

When it came time for the Show they pushed the Red Button. Nothing. Button #2. Pizzle. Fortunately there was plenty of wine, so none of the onlooking Senators really cared as long as their 10% bonus checks still cleared.

The memory of this story is the only thing that gives me faint hope that we will survive this black phase of human experience. Maybe when OBiden pushes the Red Button in frustration after seeing the western economy BRICKed to death and it’s last NATO proxy soldier fed to the meat grinder in Ukraine, only a trickle of US nuclear tipped missiles will actually launch on their way to Moscow.

Putin just announced that they have converted 50% of their entire missile inventory to MAC12+ precision guided hypersonics. If their response to the failed American first strike is limited to carefully targeting the Pentagon, Washington DC, the Bangor sub base and every US carrier group on the seven seas we still have a chance of a planetary future..

We already learned that one man can’t clean the swamp, though.
When you have a system that is so thoroughly corrupt as ours, it will take more than a new president to wade through it, skimming off the pond scum that has risen highest, and bringing in the law to whip some order to the rest.

The entire Congress raised their arms and chanted “Slava Ukraine” when Zelensky came a-begging last year. Which one can be counted on?
That was one of the most disgusting things I’ve seen.
The same people that call MAGA voters “Nazis” are supporting and arming actual Nazis in Ukraine, descendants of the OUN that slaughtered so many people in the 40s.

If you are a Pole, or a Jew, or an American, or a Brit, and you are still yammering on about your ancestors’ oppression, but you support the Kiev regime, you have lost all credibility. You are no longer allowed to complain about what happened to your grandfather.

Putin showed a 2 min. video to the African delegation that came to Moscow, to explain why the Russians are fighting the Nazis again.
The video is heavily censured in the west, of course, but one person downloaded it to Google. Don’t know how long that will last.
Watch it while you can, and understand why the SMO is doing its job. The Russians have to save us again.

    • Islander June 23, 2023 at 1:24 pm #

      Wow. Must-see

      there are English subtitles.

I always enjoy hearing Putin speak.

      Horrifying footage.

One thing: The audience members shown didn’t look to me like Africans.

      • Paula D June 23, 2023 at 1:48 pm #

Yes, there was a wider audience than the African delegation, for sure.

But I’m sure that he showed it to them, as well. At least, that is what is reported.

        • abbybwood June 23, 2023 at 2:31 pm #

Putin also pulled out the agreement he and Zelensky signed in Turkey March 2022 to negotiate an end to the SMO. Ukraine swearing off NATO and vowing to be a neutral country were part of the agreement.

But then Boris Johnson flew in to Kiev to “party” with Z and was told to tear up the agreement.

Now there are many thousands of Ukraine’s men dead with nothing to show for it.

When the Neocons say the Ukraine proxy war against Russia will go on “for as long as it takes” they do not care that it could be to the last Ukrainian, as long as Russia is harmed.

          • Paula D June 23, 2023 at 10:59 pm #

Yes, although I think that depopulating Ukraine is part of the agenda.

Finest farmland in Europe, ripe for the taking by Blackrock, Cargill, Bayer, etc.
They don’t want any men there contesting the theft.

Hence: fighting to the ”last Ukrainian”.

        • DaveO907 June 24, 2023 at 4:28 pm #

I watched the original speech and it was preceded by an emphasis on the African delegation, as I recall.

“Many of us were fooled into thinking Mr. Durham was a serous dude (I sure was).

JHK, your honest and reflective statement, in itself, represents another type of teachable moment.

All of us, no matter what our degree of skepticism about Durham or Barr or whoever, have been deeply socialized and propagandized throughout our lives to the probability that someone or some group in our leadership class will come to its senses and save our republic for us before its too late.

The psychological adjustment that is now taking place among a growing number of citizens is that this internalized hope applies to a reality that no longer exists.

One key task for the future will be to more accurately understand the specific shifts in power (and among which groups/factions) responsible for this new reality.

At this point none of us have this figured out–and I applaud your more recent efforts to refocus on the genuine existing networks of power responsible.

How is it that after all these years you still try to sell us on the fraudulent idea that the USA is a nation of laws? That all we need to do is wait enough years for a charlatan like Durham or Barr to deliver the Justice that we all deserve?

“How is it after all these years you still try to sell us on the fraudulent idea that the USA is a nation of laws?”-Thor

No, it is a nation of laws, and I have proof!

A few weeks ago I was stopped by local police for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. It was on a rural road with no other motorists in sight; to be fair, I might have rolled thru.

No ticket, just a warning. “Don’t let it happen again.”

        Ok I won’t.

Great summing up by our host and always a joy to read, if not to contemplate the content.

I’m not so gloomy as the rest of you. Obviously, plenty of bad things are going to happen before the dust settles. I’m sure that Martin Armstrong is right, and that the U.S. as we’ve known it will be a memory after around 2032.

In the meantime, there are many reasons why things can’t go on as they have been, nor should they. We’re too corrupt and degraded for recovery, and the public displays of lunacy we’ve seen in the last year have ramped up to the point of no return. Something will put a stop to it; it’s just a question of what that something will be, and how ugly it will get.

Amid all this, there are many pockets of sanity such as can be found in the remote, rural place where I find myself. There are people who grow things, people who make things, people who are neighborly. These people will rebuild the world, as they always have done in the past.

Nothing we make in the material world lasts forever. Right now we’re making chaos and ruination. Keep in mind that we can build and create indefinitely, as evinced by the great cathedrals built over centuries, but chaos and insanity have a limited life span. As the madness winds down and consumes itself, many if not most of its proponents will bring about their own demise.

You are right, that nothing created in the material world lasts forever.

However, perhaps most shocking to me is the wanton destruction of the innocent natural world and its inhabitants—much of the destruction in the name of “saving the planet.”

The human insanity this betokens is the really scary part. Scary for us humans.

It is like a collective suicide that no one chose.

But once we leave the lens of the human life span we remember that life has plenty of time to recover on planet Earth. We just won’t be there to see it.

      • Paula D June 23, 2023 at 1:53 pm #

Yes, every year there are fewer insects around here.

I used to have to cover my water glass to keep the bugs out, and shut the doors as soon as possible, but now there are no bugs in my water and I can go outside and leave the door open for a couple of minutes till I come back in.

Only 3 swallows returned to my house this year, and there is only one nest, instead of 5 or 6.

        Sometime is very, very wrong.

        • Rowdypiglet June 23, 2023 at 3:24 pm #

Interesting, Paula, because where I am there’s a great increase in some insects, notably blackflies and ticks. I had a conversation with someone a few days ago who had taken a summer job clearing underbrush on a wood lot. He remarked that, as a kid, he might have gotten one tick on him every summer – sometimes none. He had been in the hospital emergency room the previous week to have 23 ticks removed. The blackflies have been so bad this year that even those who usually ignore them are running full tilt between the house and the barn. Watering the garden, if you stand still for more than a nanosecond, is an invitation to bring ticks into the house. On the other hand, my hummingbirds are back as they are every year, and seem quite happy. Who knows what to make of any of this?

          • Islander June 23, 2023 at 8:42 pm #

            I don’t think black flies and ticks pollinate anything;

When the beach plums bushes were covered with blooms a couple of weeks ago, they should have been crawling with multiple species of native bees and other insects. But there was nary an insect to be seen. Beach plums seem to be self-pollinators, as I do see small green fruit starting to form.

But other anecdotal evidence is that dearth of pollinators has resulted in fruit on fruit trees not forming.

A flower bed on our property is planted with alyssum. It has a wonderful scent and should be attracting insects. But there are none to be seen.

There are no screens in my windows, and so far there are NO insects in my digs except for one or two house flies. . This is the month for June bugs. Normally they would be buzzing around outdoor lights, and occasionally one would end up inside, buzzing and driving one nuts. This year I have not seen a single June bug. Not one. This is definitely weird, and bad news.

          • Paula D June 23, 2023 at 11:07 pm #

We have a lot of ticks as well, although they seem to be leveling off in the heat. They are actually arachnids, not insects, although the spiders seem to be dying off also.

I don’t miss the mosquitoes, but I notice there are fewer of them also.
Yeah, what to make of it. I tend to be a pessimist, so I think it’s a bad sign.

            Where do you live, Rowdy?

          • Anthea June 25, 2023 at 9:12 am #

There has been an immense decline in insect numbers since I was a kid in the 50s, for sure. Back then a 20-30-mile drive in the country meant the car’s windshield and grid would be covered with bugs of all kinds, but that has not been the case for decades.

Since then–say, for the past twenty years of living in the country–I haven’t seen a difference, though most of those years were spent living in a lake community where lawn chemicals were not a thing (to say the least). But it’s the same where I am now. We have plenty of insects, birds, and other wildlife. Though I do remember that when my daughter and her husband bought this property, and it had been sitting vacant for some time, we were enveloped in a cloud of butterflies every time we drove down the driveway. That was because no one had done any mowing for a year or two. Ticks, too, are always bad in unmowed areas. (That’s the main reason people mow.)

One thing that has changed–twice–over the years is kids getting head lice. When my kids were in grade school, there were frequent epidemics of head lice. For those who haven’t experienced this, ridding children of head lice and nits involves treating their hair with either RID or some other substance, and then spending several hours a day, for a week or two, picking nits.

I once commented to the school nurse, as she was inspecting one of my kids’ hair before re-admitting her to school, why head lice were unheard-of when I was a kid in the 1950s. Children never got head lice back then. The school nurse replied, “They outlawed DDT.” So, ever since DDT was outlawed there has been a gradual resurgence of head lice, leading to constant epidemics of the little critters by the 90s. (Head lice do not usually infest adults, or even kids in their teens, but only younger children. They also do not infest blacks, as their hair is inhospitable to head lice.)

Bedbugs have also become quite a problem in recent years, and I understand they are very difficult to get rid of. (An exterminator friend tells me he can get rid of them, but I have heard of people who were troubled by them, even after the visit from the exterminator.)

I’m in favor of the judicious use of insecticides–such as for the wasp nest on your front porch. I think the main problem is agricultural pesticides and herbicides.

I can’t vote for RFK. I like the guy, but I had been a demorat for 30 years, and I’m not voting for you as president, then you reform the party. You reform the party FIRST, THEN if you have capable, ethical, competent people and policies, then I will vote for you. I don’t care about his family, his family isn’t running for president, most of their power and influence is long gone and in the ground. This country has set up a movement for reform, it’s called MAGA. Is MAGA perfect, no but we have to fight with the weapons we have now. I’m not interested in reinventing the wheel when there is a car on the lot outside with keys to it and gas in the tank. Demorats need to clean their party up on their own, or die trying. Joseph Kennedy, the patriarch, was the capo of the Boston Irish Mob during prohibition. It was he who made the deal with Sam Giancana in Chicago, the Italian mob Capo that allowed JFK to run his successful 1960 campaign.

Remember too, that according to a book authored by George Giancana, Bobby Kennedy betrayed the pact and started to investigate the Chicago Mob and led to the CIA/Mafia hit on both brothers.

Hazard to guess why they had to “steal” the election to get a moderate, peace president installed?

A lot has been made about Ike’s farewell.
He alluded to a lot more than the MIC.

If not JFK it would have been the post-war cabal’s plant, employed by the Rockefeller’s law firm in NYC.

You need to brush-up some more John. Funny how Nixon moved past Rockefeller in the primaries only to go to work for them in more ways than 1.

        • Blackbird June 23, 2023 at 10:17 pm #

“Hazard to guess why they had to “steal” the election to get a moderate, peace president installed?”

Maybe because the election of 1960 was a very close election? (49.72% for Kennedy, 49.55% for Nixon.)

The Electoral College total was a safer margin for Kennedy: 303 vs. 219 for Nixon. Those 27 electoral votes in Illinois provided a big chunk of that comfort, and Cook County is an influential part of the state.

Ike’s “warning” came after he had spent 8 years handing the levers of government over to the MIC, and allowing the Dulles brothers to turn him into their puppet. It’s too bad Ike wasn’t riding with Patton, or flying with Glenn Miller. He could have died a hero.

For me, RFK jr. being a Kennedy is 3 strikes against him even before he gets up to bat. But I’m willing to change my mind. He has been a helpful advocate regarding vaccines. I’ll to wait and see what he does and judge him by his actions. Not gonna vote for him. Not gonna vote for anybody except maybe local school board, dogcatcher, the fruit too low for Soros to reach. But, I am sure RFK jr. will never be President. I’m not sure what his role is, but I am sure he has one.

There is no such thing as hermaphrodite. All Disorders of Sexual Development conditions are mutations on the two sexes, XX or XY, and only 0.017% of the population has a DSD.

99.98% of humans are XX or XY, and most of them prefer to swap gametes with the opposite sex. But there are more homosexuals than there are “intersex”, which again, is NOT another sex, but a mutation of one of the two.

It was a big mistake for the homosexuals to allow the T into their tent. Now the American public is saying they are fed up with all of them.

            47, XXX

XXX is female with chromosomal disorder.

If there is a Y, you are a guy.

I actually don’t know what you mean by hermaphrodite. Most people think it means that someone has a penis and a vagina, and can get themselves pregnant. Maybe you mean something different.

This is an entertaining article that talks about the gametes.

        • Anthea June 25, 2023 at 9:59 am #

          @ Edge Lord:

Most of the supposed “genders” encompassed in the LGBT+ alphabet should properly be classified as fetishes. (Not that I have investigated the many listed genders.) So we’re being told that everyone should accomodate the various people who have unusual (or fairly usual) and publicly announced fetishes, and that the public proclamation of some fetish should be honored as “courageous” and accorded a pronoun. Oh–and that a sexual fetish is an “identity,” and everyone should take care to acknowledge and approve these sexual-fetish “identities” and unique “individualities.”

If you break it down, it appears that people are being trained to view sexual fetishes (both their own and others’) as their identities. So your core identity and individuality as a human being resides in some fetish–and I suppose, the more outlandish the fetish, the greater the claim to true individuality (such a being a man who wears a dress who is into puppies).

It is maybe unnecessary to point out that this is a degradation of both sex and human beings.

The religious view is that human sexuality is both a high honor–human participation as co-creators–and a high responsibility. It confers dignity and glory upon both men and women and should be treated with reverence and so ordered as to produce good outcomes (in the creation). Things like good children and warm and loving homes and an orderly society.

We departed from this when we were trained to view sex as merely recreational, of course.

My brother lived on the fifth floor of a building where a petulant old queen lived on the first floor. My brother’s girlfriend would leave her car in front of the building for five minutes with the blinkers on so she could run the groceries upstairs. She would very quickly get back down stairs and move her car. Most people living on the upper floors did this and no one else but the old phag cared. He would yell at her and others who did the same thing. One day, he yelled at my brother’s girlfriend for the last time. When my brother got home from work and she told him it happened again, he went out on the deck and threw a cantaloupe from the fifth floor right through the window of the guy’s car. When the Sodomite came outside to survey the damage, my brother just stared him down. Message conveyed.

I refuse to get caught up in the election circus details, but it is my opinion that the Deep State wants their boy Ron DeSantis to be put into the White House next time.

Ramping up the LBGTQXYXZ and CRT bullshit will make it so they don’t have to steal the vote this time.

People will overwhelmingly vote for DeSantis because he refuses to go along with that particular bullshit.

Just like they stole the 2000 and 2004 elections, but then put up Obama talking about repealing the Patriot Act, and backing off from endless wars.
Americans back then were still proud of the Bill of Rights, and opposed its destruction, and were horrified by the Patriot Act, the Homeland Security Act, the TSA, the Military Commissions Act, etc.
They willingly voted for the man who said he stood for traditional American values like freedom and liberty, so they didn’t have to steal that election.

Now the population is used to being treated like prisoners on lockdown and no one stands up for freedom and the Bill of Rights, so we’re reduced to voting for traditional values like ”humans come in two sexes, male and female”.

I shudder to think what absurdities they have coming down the pike now.

Something happens to electors voted into DC. They become, with a few exceptions, Deep Staters. Definition, one who believes in the Federal government as the master of the people, not the serpent. One who believes in the supremacy of the federal government.

Anyone who has been there is affected by Deep Statism. DeSantis immediately comes to mind. Trump too.

Anyone who puts up with the federal office BS and desires a Fed job is mentally challenged.

Good, Beryl. Ask Paula about how Russia deal with Pride parades.

Citizens are allowed to stomp them. The police show up and finish the job. Since Russia never does anything wrong, Paula must approve of this. And I agree with her that sometimes extreme measures are necessary.

        • RD June 23, 2023 at 2:38 pm #

Is there a problem with the way that the Russians deal with these parades?

That’s what I’m asking Paula. As you know women love gays, but Paula also loves Russia. Can she deal with this? How?

“Some women. My wife and her mother rightly find them revolting.”

I don’t find them “revolting” as long as I don’t think about how (some of them) do sex.

Some are very nice—for instance, my dentist. He is charming, intelligent, good communicator (explains things well), and an excellent dentist. No probs with him.

          • RD June 23, 2023 at 6:32 pm #

I find them revolting as well, and the best that can be hoped for, in a sane culture, is that they are marginalized and ignored, as long as they keep quiet and keep their perversions behind closed doors.

Don’t dodge the question, Isle: How do you feel about the Russians not allowing Pride parades?

          • Anthea June 25, 2023 at 10:14 am #

            @ Jarek:

You’re finding imaginary difficulties where there are none.

I see no difficulty at all about liking some gays, individually, as people, and opposing pride parades.

I like some fornicators and adulterers, but I would oppose their having a fornicator and adulterer parade.

          • Anthea June 25, 2023 at 10:30 am #

            @ Jarek:

Another example: Some years ago, our town’s auto mechanic, who was much loved and respected in the community, who had been married for decades, and had nine children, was arrested for indecent exposure (jacking off while peeking in a neighbor’s window). This had gone on for some time, despite the neighbors’ complaints, because the police were reluctant to arrest him. But I guess warnings did no suffice, so they finally put the cuff on him. He had to go to counseling and do community service.

While much hilarity ensued around town, his car-repair business did not suffer at all, nor did the community’s love and respect for him abate in the slightest.

Same situation with my former (and late) neighbor with the cuckhold fetish. The guy was much loved.

You do not dislike people for sexual indiscretions, or even other kinds of indiscretions or proclivities. Though I guess if you are their neighbor and they are jacking off under your window, it is perfectly reasonable to call the police.

The question you are posing is silly.

          • Anthea June 25, 2023 at 10:36 am #

Honestly, I think I reveal too much. I think one of these days someone will post a comment here, where they say, “I think I know you! You used to live around the corner from Nick, right? Aren’t you the woman that used to hang out with Mike, whom Harry says was a lesbian?”

          • Jarek June 25, 2023 at 1:09 pm #

Imaginary difficulties? As if blatant contradictions aren’t a problem.

Look, examine the meaning of the word, imagination. Without it, there is no science or any kind of inquiry. It is the virile or questing part of the mind.

As Paracelsus said, there is the above and then there is what we call fantasy, the “cornerstone of fools” as he put it. Obviously you are attributing the latter to my use of the word in the former sense.

Stop being for people just because they’re women and against people just because they’re men. You’re being a feminist in the invidious sense when you do that.

          • Jarek June 25, 2023 at 1:13 pm #

Oh and btw, we were talking about Russia anti-gay pride parade policy and how our Russophiles deal with it – not you, you silly creature.

            @ Jarek:

I think you’ve become hysterical. Next thing you know, you’ll be telling us that hysteria is soul of virility and that hysteria is the same thing as imagination–which is the same thing as lying.

Whether one likes certain people or not, whatever little (or big) improprieties they may be up to, has nothing whatsoever to do with whether one believes it’s okay to have a parade in celbration or promotion of said improprieties.

Face it, you are just some drooling retard (or one suffering from some other severe mental deficiency) who belongs in a group home. You know this yourself; I’m sure you have papers to prove it. You have several times bemoaned your inability to live independently, due to your need (and entitlement to!) someone to provide for you and care for you.

This actually seems to underlie most of your views: You have been unjustly deprived of a (female) keeper. And, not perceiving that neither are there any males of your acquaintance who would like to support you and look after you, you blame the ladies for declining to do so.

“… When asked why he did not seek grand jury testimony from the primary culprits in the Russia Collusion hoax — Comey, McCabe, and Strzok — he told the room it would have been ‘unproductive’ because they habitually claimed to ‘not recall’ anything when testifying in Congress.”

You have to admit he’s got a point there. It’s long been established that ‘Not Knowing Anything’ is a necessary job requirement for anyone with a position in or near government. Otherwise known as – in the words of the old TV show – ‘I see NOTH-ING! NOTHING!’ See no Evil… Hear no Evil… Speak no Evil. Evil, in this case and very many others today, being The Truth.

“… an interesting legal theory… we must suppose that any witness in a criminal inquiry may decline testifying on the grounds of claiming a defective memory.”

They don’t have a defective memory. They know damn well what did and what did not occur. What they have is defective personal character… or personal character in total absence. But they have a great ability to conjure and peddle False Narratives which again is a necessary career requirement for many vocations today. Been to the Doctor lately? Watched the ‘News’ lately? Do you have School ‘Pride’?

“We are treated in these twilight months of the ‘Joe Biden’ regime to a cavalcade of revelations laying out the degeneracy of a federal justice system at war with the American people and its shady machinations in service to the Biden family global bribery operation.”

You make that sound like bad thing. To the Dark Deep State Left… that is simply Mission Accomplished. And Dancing in the Streets of Capitol City.

    “Impeachment is coming…”

Impeachment used to be a rare and somber occasion. Thanks to the groundbreaking efforts of the Dark Deep State Left in the previous Presidential administration… impeachment will now become as common as going to DC as poor man or woman and leaving a multi-millionaire. You gotta love ‘Public Service’. Abd bring lots of duffle bags with you.

“… Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. will have to rebuild it from the ground up and expel the demons infesting it.”

RFK Jr. is a man called forth by the Spirit and Needs of Our Times. But he is like the poor fellow over in Asia years ago who stood before that big tank in the hopes of stopping the ongoing utter destruction. You have to admire the courage of such people… a rare quality in our Age of Fitting In and Following Orders and Keeping Your Trap Shut.

And you will never, ever hear him say… ‘I CAN’T RECALL!…’

As luck would have it, this very morning my wife and I viewed the 70 meter long “BAYEUX TAPESTRY” in France which depicts the English royal fraud perpetrated by Harold upon the English folk. Harold paid for his scam by means of an arrow through his eye and sudden death. William went from William the Bastard to William the Conqueror at that same moment.

Wxtwxtr, listening to the podcast now. Thanks for the tip.

Fascinating. Poe fills in many details.

I particularly appreciate his explanation of Britain’s role in fomenting rebellion in the South.

Of course British industry and finance needed to maintain the Slave South as a source of raw material for their “satanic mills.”

And of course, Britain had a multi-generational project to undo the America Revolution.

Just as the USA (led by Britain) has a multigenerational project to undo the Bolshevik Revolution.

Russia, too, has a multigenerational project: most likely, to smash Western imperialism and Anglosphere hegemony once and for all.

  46. KesaAnna June 23, 2023 at 7:52 pm #

” he told the room it would have been “unproductive” because they habitually claimed to “not recall” anything when testifying in Congress.

Strzok?” ”

    Ah , Criminal Justice ,

or , as it might just as well be known ,

    the game of , ” Would you rather …. ? ”

Would you rather be seen as an idiot , a coward , a total sleezeball ,

    or ,

would you rather be hanged ?

I don’t want to exaggerate, so I’ll keep my numbers very conservative.

At least 70% of successful prosecutions are accomplished the same way they were accomplished a thousand years ago ; With a confession.

The accused himself tells you everything you need to know. Sherlock Holmes not required.

Conversely , the odds are at least 50 / 50 that you will skate if you simply keep your mouth shut .

    ” I don’t know / I don’t remember ” even if obviously totally bogus , IS a very good defense.

Especially given that human memory , in general , is not that good.

The longer you drag out that , ” I don’t know / I don’t remember ” , the more likely it is that even your accusers will themselves get fuzzy on the details / lose interest / become indifferent.

If all this seems bleak and immoral , and no happy endings ,

just remember that in the good old days a standard method for acquiring a confession was torture.

Everyone in the fucking room knows that if you start pulling out a persons fingernails they will confess to murdering Julius Ceasar or the Easter Bunny.

Never the less , everyone in the room would sit there with a straight face and pretend there was nothing wrong with that picture.

That strikes me as pretty bleak itself.

For the Americans , they caught the victory disease from the Japanese , and in the case of both the Civil War and WW II subsequently were obliged to justify being jerks when they did NOT have to be , painting it as a moral crusade. Do I have to play Thomas Paine and explain how and why that is actually terribly morally corrosive?

In both cases , if that was victory , I dare say they might have been better off with defeat !

As for the Ukraine war —

My sympathies are entirely with the Russian Army.

I always feared , though , that it will be a long war , with no happy ending for either side no matter how it turns out.

As for the United States , I think it will lose interest in the war long before it is over.

        Indeed , probably already has.

        It looks to me suspiciously like South Vietnam ;

A lot of pretending that you care , when you never did.

He is being allowed to speak. He, who is not a part of our culture, champions our values? The rich ARE different. ”

Prisoners don’t look kindly on Child Molesters.” ~ BackRowHeckler

As you may know, once and awhile I like to look into female prisoners’ stories alongside their personal ads…
One in particular got a child-neglect rap that lead to the kid’s death. I think she left the kid alone in a car in a child-seat and the kid got tangled and maybe strangled in and by the seat somehow. And even though, unlike other women’s child abuse and/or murder convictions, it may have been unwillful on her part, she wrote an essay about how, within the first few days or weeks she entered prison, she was beaten by a gang of about 6 other women, enough to break some ribs and whatnot.

    Hi JHK Admin,
It is interesting how life moves faster than predictions sometimes. I do not know if this is the first sign of a crack-up in the Soviet Union, um, I mean Russia, and I think it is likely a “false flag” operation to be honest, but as events unfold, we will get a sense of just how much pressure Russia, its elites, and its political authoritarian regime, and society is under. One of the weaknesses of the analysis that you offer is that it can be overly fixated on the narrative you know is so right that your analysis ignores other issues–such as Russian internal [in]stability. By treating Putin as “a stable genius” you ignore Russian history and treat Russia as a monolith–a monolith run by Putin, Inc. Doing this catches us by surprise when we get announcements like today–and whether it turns out to be something important or not in the grand scheme of things, well, its an indication that the analysis you have confidence in is based on incomplete premises. The same thing happened when the Soviet Union collapse occurred–it was NOT predicted by many folks because the appearance of strength hid a sclerotic tottering entity. It might be happening again–a little caution might be in order.

It is a shock and does not fit the narrative that JHK Admin has advanced. Why not just say that? If you disagree make the case. What do you think of what is happening, Night Owl? This morning things appear to be intensifying. Will JHK Admin support Yevgeny Prigozhin’s moves? I wonder what he will say on Monday? The Making of the Deep Submergence Vehicle (DSV) Limiting FactorA Documentary by Nick Verola
    (documentary; 30:55 minutes)

    “Jan 11, 2021
This film details the design and construction of the first commercially-certified submersible capable of repeated dives to the very bottom of the ocean — Challenger Deep. The film takes you behind the scenes to understand the difficulties in designing and building it, and the international team that made it happen.”

    Comment Samples:

“It’s so wild to see how much precaution went into designing and building this incredible vehicle, as well as to see how complex it is inside the chamber. My respect for this team is further increased when you compare it to the inside of the OceanGate Titan sub controlled by a video game controller and quotes from the OceanGate CEO basically saying stuff like safety precautions are for losers and wimps.” ~ @benwesorick

“This is exactly the kind of engineering videos I want to see. Details on the machining, modeling, systems, etc. So cool” ~ @Doctor_Yuri

“The TRITON 36000/2 is the world’s first and only manned submersible that is certified to full ocean depth. It opens up to repeatable exploration the 70% of the world’s oceans hitherto beyond the reach of mankind.

Equipped with a full science suite and ultra-high definition filming capabilities, the TRITON 36000/2 is helping scientists and explorers uncover the mysteries of the most unexplored region on Earth – the ultra-deep.

Reliable and repeatable exploration to full ocean depth affords scientists the opportunity to compare rich data-sets spanning the full gradients of depth, temperature, salinity and other factors.

In 2019, Victor Vescovo became the first person to reach the deepest point in all five oceans using his TRITON 36000/2. The ground-breaking Five Deeps Expedition provided the ultimate validation, and final certification, for the world’s only Full Ocean Depth submersible…

The TRITON 36000/2 is designed to return to the surface no matter the scenario. This meant designing and engineering multiple, fully-redundant systems that can be relied upon absolutely. This dedication to minute detail, to absolute quality, and to test after test after test, is why Triton, with the support of its exclusive partners, is the only manufacturer capable of producing such an extremely capable submersible.”

Russia-Ukraine Live Updates: ‘Everyone who took up arms against Army is traitor,’ says Putin as Wagner forces inch closer to Moscow

Russia-Ukraine Live Updates: While Prigozhin had earlier denied allegations of attempting a military coup, he claimed on Saturday that his Wagner fighters had crossed the border into Russia from Ukraine and were prepared to go “all the way” against Moscow’s military.

A Russian security source told Reuters on Saturday that Wagner Group mercenary fighters had taken control of all military facilities in the city of Voronezh, around 500 km (310 miles)south of Moscow. While Prigozhin had earlier denied allegations of attempting a military coup, he claimed on Saturday that his Wagner fighters had crossed the border into Russia from Ukraine and were prepared to go “all the way” against Moscow’s military. Prigozhin earlier said, without providing evidence, that Russia’s military leadership had killed a huge number of his troops in an air strike and vowed to punish them, news agency Reuters reported.

Security was stepped up on Friday night at government buildings, transport facilities and other key locations in Moscow, TASS news agency reported, citing a source at a security service. According to BBC, internet was restricted and military trucks were spotted on the streets of Moscow.’

    • elysianfield June 24, 2023 at 12:00 pm #

Well, the balloon has been released. The USA will see this sign of weakness and a wider war is now inevitable. Prigozhin may be an asset of the west, maybe not, but weakness, or ostensible weakness will be exploited.

“Over the coming hours, the loyalty of Russia’s security forces, and especially the Russian National Guard, will be key to how this crisis plays out. This represents the most significant challenge to the Russian state in recent times,” Britain’s defence ministry said in a regular intelligence update. (Reuters)

            But MaryQueen,
I do understand the reason why you are flustered.
This wasn’t supposed to happen given the narrative that people have supported here (including you). The fact that you are reduced to defensive one sentence replies says a lot about the confusion going on in the right-wing propagandist space right now. I mean, how are you supposed to spin this? How are the pro-Russia sites making sense of this? If it turns out that this is legit and not a “false-flag” operation, the narrative you and those who share your views is incoherent. And that is a very uncomfortable place to be.

            @ hustled enough:

Well now, the whole kerfuffle appears to have blown over, hasn’t it? It last, as per my last reading on the subject, all of 22 hours.

You want to know what I think? I think the US/NATO got played. My guess is that Prigozhin was offer the 6 billion that suddenly appeared due to an “accounting error” and quickly got together with Putin to discuss how best to play it.

Putin probably said, “Sure. Take the money. Then pretend you are seeking a coup against me, while pretending you are headed for Moscow, while actually using said pretend action as cover for a massive troop movement into a strategic position in Balarus. Hey, isn’t this exactly what we were hoping for? You’ve been playing ‘troublemaker’ for months now, because we were trying to lure the US/NATO into making just such an offer for you to lead a coup/color revolution. So, mission accomplished. You’re 6 billion to the good, you’ve outed Russia’s fifth column, tested the loyaly of your Wagner troops, and you’ve moved your troops without interference. But you know of course that you must now retire from public view, as this is all just between us. But keep a billion for yourself. ”

Russia has benefited from this whole charade.

          • hustled enough June 25, 2023 at 3:43 pm #

            OK, MaryQueen
How would you describe the state you entered when the events of yesterday unfolded? Those events run counter to any narrative or belief that you have shared over the last year or so that you and I have been actively engaged with each other. I have never seen you so timid or tongue tied as you are now with regard to a reasoned argument or evidence.

If you don’t think you are flustered, what would you name it as: shock, horror, angst; I mean what? Because equanimity is not it!

If you were not flustered (or in shock, or feeling sad, or something else related), you would be able to offer a reasoned argument with evidence for what ever it is you believe about the events of yesterday.
            You cannot do this.
Ergo, you are flustered (or in shock, or feeling sad, or something else related)…

          • hustled enough June 25, 2023 at 3:51 pm #

            Hi Anthea,
Thanks for the reply. I love it! If you had some evidence to back up that claim, I would enjoy hearing it. Because, I can’t help but feel that the damage that Putin had done to his reputation as “Undisputed Mighty Man” was a lot greater than the $6 billion you think P got offered, and shared with Putin. The political instability on display yesterday is surely going to be embraced by the average Russian who is wondering WTF is going on. As a Russian citizen, I would be especially impressed by the ability of a column of troops who owe their allegiance to a declared “traitor” (well, at least for a little while…) to take over a city in my country AND another to travel mostly unmolested through the country.
            Just not favourably impressed, right?

          • Anthea June 25, 2023 at 11:22 pm #

            @ hustled enough:

No one knows what really happened, and probably no one ever will, so we can only speculate.

However, whatever happened, the end result is that quite a number of advantages accrue to Russia. It’s almost like they planned it. It is thus my speculation that Russia did indeed plan the whole escapade.

And while you are thinking of how to respond to that, let me add one more thing, Night Owl.
As I said to Mary Queen, I get that you are a bit adrift at the moment. A bit flustered by the pace of events in Russia right now. What is the narrative that makes things look like something that makes sense to you given what you believe about the war in Ukraine? We don’t know for sure what is going on–it feels a bit bizarre–but there are very few descriptions about this situation (if true) that point to any other inference than INCREASING RUSSIAN POLITICAL INSTABILITY and a society under increasing pressure (commensurate with increasing needs for increasing crackdowns on dissent). That is not the narrative many folks here, including JHK Admin want to consider, because it is antithetical to commonly held beliefs here.

But things have clearly slipped out of hand over the past few hours. Both his supporters and his critics will remember that.

This is premature but it’s worth saying: Any significant political or military instability in Russia would carry big risks for the rest of the world too. This is, after all, a sprawling, resource-rich country with a huge arsenal of nuclear and biological weapons.’

          @ hustled enough:

I see no indication of Russian political instability. To me, what this little drama indicates is that the US/NATO attempted a coup/color revolution by means of a $6 billion bribe to Prigozhin. It didn’t work out as planned. One may only speculate as to why it didn’t work out. This failed coup/color revolution attempt is more of an indication of Russian political stability than the reverse. This outcome makes them stronger, too: They’ve flushed out the disloyal. And Putin’s handling of the whole thing presents him in a good light. He successfully defused the problem, handled the whole thing in a measured way, and treated all those involved–including Prigozhin–magnanimously. I personally think Prigozhin was in on it, but, regardless of whether that’s true or not, Putin still comes out smelling like a rose.

What I wish for BackRowHeckler is for Putin to get out of Ukraine and stop a war of choice that he disastrously and unnecessarily decided to pursue last year. The only one who gets to stop this war is Putin (unless he is overthrown–but how likely is that, really?). That is my wish.

      • Jarek June 24, 2023 at 1:05 pm #

The Ukies had killed tens of thousands of Russian Ukrainians. They were massing on the border of the Donbass to do far more. One is reminded of the Poles murdering German citizens of the newly expanded Poland after WW2.

If Putin had done nothing, millions of Russian Ukrainians would have been driven out of Ukraine and into Russia – seething with hatred for Putin. And countless Russians would have despised him as weak. He would have been toppled. The West might have won then and there since the resistance are all liberal Jews.

OR one of the Putin group would have taken over, one without his self control and wisdom, taking us to the brink of WW3 or beyond. Are either of these scenarios what you want?

        You aren’t thinking it through.

        • hustled enough June 24, 2023 at 4:02 pm #

          Hi Jarek,
When you mention WWII remember the millions that died earlier at the hands of the Germans together with the Russian vision of clearing out minority enclaves….
As for Ukrainians fighting separatists backed by Russia after the Russian invasion of 2014? Russia STARTED that escapade. And thousands were killed on both sides. Making the separatists sound like passive victims is a rejection of the historical record, Jarek. So, crying about Russia being caught on the horns of a dilemma of its own creation? No sympathy from me on that one. Putin did not have to do as you suggested he “had to” in 2022–the stalemate could have gone on for a lot longer before those consequences. The West was not really supporting Ukraine–Russia gave it “plausible deniability,” to downplay Russia’s active involvement after 2014 in D & L. The mentioned consequences you offer did not happen prior to 2022, so why the urgency you suggest in 2022? Sorry, Jarek, it does not make sense, especially given Putin’s miscalculation by invading Ukraine. Within a week of the invasion it was clear he had made a strategic and tactical mistake. Finland in NATO. Who would have thought it possible …
Read Accidental Car by Weiss & Brown before talking about Putin’s wisdom and self-control. You will find it an eye-opener.
As for, “he West might have won then and there since the resistance are all liberal Jews,” what does this even mean (apart from sounding anti-semitic…)?

            Hi Jarek,
I read the wikipedia entry on the book in question and its conclusions definitely go against the reading and study that I did on the emergence of the Modern German State (e.g., including Craig, Fischer, Taylor, Snyder, etc). Does the wikipedia description of the book (not the reviews, but the synopsis) match your understanding having read it?

You wish for Ukie Nazis backed by NATO (US) to keep decimating Ukrainians and stealing their land.

          Hi MaryQueen,
It is sad that you think that this reply of yours is actually making a coherent argument. I get that you prefer propaganda garnered from some websites as the basis of your information. Have you actually read a peer-reviewed based history of the region? I might suggest T. Snyder’s Road to Unfreedom, as a good place to start. If you think his evidence and argument is crap, I would love to hear your reasoned thoughts as to why. But your current reply is not that…

Meh. I’ll bet Prigozhen has been playing a part for months, for the express purpose of baiting a trap for the US/NATO to try to tempt him into attempting a coup. If you think about, you can see how it could have been a fun little charade, if you were Prigozhen.

As I said fourteen -fifteen months ago, Putin stepped in it. More recently I said he was lying in it.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Next guy will be worse. Putin was already threatening to use nukes. Using so called tactical nukes could lead to who knows where?

Odds now grow in Biden’s favor that Putin will be out before him. Before, say 1 out of a thousand, now 1 out of a hundred, roughly speaking.

Mighty Russia in turmoil, the spectacle is certainly grand, isn’t it?

I, myself, am horrified. Assuming no nuclear exchange is in the offing, it offers two things…salvation for (the) Ukraine, and a huge victory delivered to the New World Order.

      • Jarek June 24, 2023 at 1:08 pm #

Hold on, the Wagner group isn’t that strong, is it? How can they take on the rest of the Russian military?

        • elysianfield June 24, 2023 at 1:29 pm #

This gambit will be seen as an opportunity to clutch victory from the jaws of defeat. Think Hitler hearing of FDR’s death. The West have been on the ropes with Ukraine…they have been rethinking the support of Ukraine…the war was quickly winding down.

          But wait!

We have a new ally…all assets will be pledged to the Wagner Group’s efforts…overtly or otherwise. This might include Nato involvement if Putin appears weakened.

I feel that this is the most dangerous period, regarding geopolitical events, of my lifetime,,,and I lived through the Cuba Missile Crisis as a 15 year old.

          Please convince me otherwise….

          • Jarek June 24, 2023 at 1:37 pm #

Yes, that makes sense. But first thing first: What does the Wagner qua Wagner group have in terms of military assets? How many men? What equipment? What artillery, planes, etc?

Unleash the Chechens on them. Hand to hand fighting. Pay per view.

On that note, what is the ethnic makeup of Wagner? How many non-Russians?

          • elysianfield June 24, 2023 at 6:02 pm #

            I, obviously, know NOTHING but what we all see. Two points, however;

The Wagner groups stated intent was to capture a military base, and that base might include tactical nuclear weapons.

Putin cannot let Prigozhin live after this…he must be neutralized.

No sense listening to the spin.

The Democrat and Republican parties are essentially domestic terror operations and psyops as near as I can tell. Both have supported or at least abetted unconstitutional and treasonous activities for far too long. Any hope for a political change in the land area formerly known as America would require the dissolution of both of these criminal operations. Now maybe you all can see why I hesitate to make definitive claims about the future: The future hasn’t happened yet; the only thing that’s certain is that change is constant.

We sure live in interesting times. Speaking of the Chinese, how will they react to this mishmash? Their reaction may give us a hint about the future. Xi and the rest of the CCPers are sharp. If they appear to be on Putin’s side, maybe that means they believe he will prevail. If they appear wishy-washy, then they may believe Putin’s in serious trouble.

And the US? What are we going to do? The idiots that are our government may see this as an opportunity. Anything they do will help destabilize the situation.

Everyone, now is the time to sit back, break out the popcorn, watch what unfolds and protect yourself.

    • Disaffected June 24, 2023 at 6:22 pm #

I don’t think China has the option of turning back at this point. To capitulate to US neo-con demands would be to resign themselves to being a vassal state again, and they’re simply not going to do that absent a major sweetener (such as maybe the US will be the vassal state?). As for Putin’s alleged “insurrection,” I think we’re going to find out this was all just another vastly embellished US deep state deep fake. Prigozhin sounds like a reckless, power hungry, drunk if we’re to believe western news accounts. The whole thing smells manufactured. But it could well be used as a casus belli for US/NATO to widen the war if that’s the play. Which would indicate to me that the Pentagon and/or the pols who command them realize that they’re running out of time to have any effect at all on the situation.

  67. Jarek June 24, 2023 at 2:10 pm #

    Anglin on the putative coup:

Apparently – at least, as far as anyone can tell – Prigozhin’s agenda here is only to capture and hold the military base in Rostov and force Putin to make him Minister of Defense. He is not actually trying to overthrow the government.

To be clear, Prigozhin is the second most popular person in Russia, second only to Putin.

As of right now, as I write, Putin has just given a speech declaring Prigozhin an enemy of the state.

There are tanks on the streets of Moscow for the first time since the 1990s.

Preceding this, in the nighttime on Friday, Prigozhin accused the Russian Ministry of Defense of bombing his guys. There are no videos of this, and it’s been concluded that is obviously fake. It would not make any sense. If Putin wanted Prigozhin out, he would just be assassinated. And if the MoD bombed Wagner without Putin’s permission, the head of the MoD would get assassinated (or at least arrested).

He is reporting that, and the New York Times is reporting that – Russian media hasn’t said that.

I never publicly said that I was worried about a coup, because that did not seem appropriate. But several people can confirm I said this in private, including prominent people. I mean, obviously I would have thought that, because I have a very good sense.

However… I would not have thought it would happen like this. Wagner would need a bigger force, or at least a more strategic ability to strike the Kremlin and arrest the current government. There are scenarios I can see where that would have been possible some time in the next 18 months, but this thing they are doing now is just wild.

It seems to me that there is still a possibility that this is all fake, that it is designed in order to get the Ukraine to try to push. The Putin speech definitely makes that a lot less likely. I think most likely, this is really happening, and it is a pretty big problem.

I’m not sure if Putin can just make a deal with Prigozhin if he’s already killed Russian soldiers. I think that might be a point of no return. (But it is also not clear that happened.)

That said – how is it possible that Putin would not have a guy around Prigozhin ready to kill him if given the order? You’d think he’d have to have a guy in place, right? I would think that would be standard KGB procedure regardless, let alone after he’d made all those videos attacking the military, after I was sitting here thinking “that guy looks like he’s planning a coup” – right?

There is nothing clear right now, but the Russian media is reporting all of this, Putin is giving speeches, we have videos of shootings.

Prigozhin might be on drugs or drunk. I don’t understand why else he would move like this. In my view, previously, he did have a decent chance for some kind of march on the Kremlin, but there is no way he is going to march from Rostov with 20,000 men. I mean, he doesn’t have enough guys to fight the cops, and he’s not made any overtures towards the military or the cops to side with him against Putin.

He’s not even talking about Putin, except to say that Putin is being deceived.

My general thought here is that this is real, but that Putin is going to make a deal. It’s also possible Putin knew about this or planned it himself for some reason.

    We’ll see.

    I will keep you abreast.

Jarek: He also said that Prigozhin is part Jewish. This may factor in.

20,000 men isn’t enough to over throw Russia.

Anglin is staying open to all sides of it at this point, but as he said, I don’t see how he can make Prigozhin head of the military now that blood has been shed – even if he wanted to.

    • hustled enough June 24, 2023 at 4:33 pm #

      Hi Jarek,
I agree that this is all unclear right now, but 20,000 troops is a lot if we remember that they are nominally “on your side” and able to move quickly as a consequence, they are a strike force with a lot of resources and experience, and in a situation when there is no real mobile reserve that the Russian establishment can call on to provide counter-vailing power because the Ukrainians are pressing and the main phase of their counter-offensive has not started yet. Does he know something about internal stress points within the current Russian defence that points to real danger for Russian forces in Ukraine? If so, it could be that P.’s timing is exquisite–maximum leverage is right now. The idea of cutting a deal sounds very possible given the situation. The only thing that works against that is that Putin labelled him an “enemy of the state.” But it wouldn’t be the first time that words are used to try and apply counter-leverage in negotiations… Negotiation, Russian style?

    • Disaffected June 24, 2023 at 5:27 pm #

      • hustled enough June 24, 2023 at 5:40 pm #

This is a fascinating chess match being played out by Prigozhin and Putin. My feeling is that Prigozhin wants the whole kit and caboodle. But the pathway is not yet open. So, what deal of convenience did they make I wonder? It is going to be an interesting Summer in Eastern Europe!

    • SoftStarLight June 24, 2023 at 6:55 pm #

Anglin is so smart. As i type to you it sounds like a deal has been made and Prigohzhin will be sent to Belarus but will be left unharmed for his treason and his troops will also not be harmed but they will no longer be able to serve in military operations. Sounds like a bunch of big egos in too little space if you ask me but what do I know lol.
