On Monday, Michael Sussmann, Esq., was released like an undersized crawdad back into the fetid waters of the DC swamp by a jury of his peers — meaning fellow DNC contributors — despite compelling evidence of his guilt. Special Counsel John Durham took the loss with stoical equanimity, leading some to suspect that he was in on yet another ritual humiliation for the out-group of Americans who might call themselves We-the-Not Insane.
The outcome of the trial raises a passel of questions about Mr. Durham’s mission, his integrity, the fitness of the federal courts, and our country’s relations with some rather important principles such as truth and justice. Why? Because the RussiaGate affair at issue evinced a gangrenous rot that is remorselessly killing America in body and soul — if you care about such things.
It’s pretty obvious that Mr. Durham knew all along that the Sussmann trial would be a low percentage play in terms of getting a conviction. The law stipulates that federal crimes must be tried in the district where they were committed, and the DC federal district court is effectively a praetorian guard for the ruling officialdom. Enemies of the so-called Deep State, such as General Flynn, get cruelly punished and ruined by procedural artifice; Deep State errand boys like Kevin Clinesmith and Michael Sussmann just flash their Get-Out-of-Jail-Free cards and go back to The Life. Yet, Mr. Durham did bother to bring the case, so… why?
Some might say, he had to do something to justify the years he’s spent investigating the origins of RussiaGate. Meanwhile, many books have been written setting forth the very precise fact-patterns of criminality among a huge cast of characters throughout our government. What happened in the years-long campaign of RussiaGate left a matrix of slime-trails from the White House to the FISA courts, to the seventh floor of the FBI building, to the CIA, the DoD, the State Department, Congress, and to swamp outposts in foreign lands where chimerical creatures like Josef Mifsud and Stefan Halper scurried about in mud and darkness on shifty assignments. All these big and little fish to hook, and all he could come up with was Clinesmith and Sussmann, two guppies?
Let’s assume that John Durham actually cares about his self-respect and his reputation. Let’s go a little further and suppose that he cares about what has happened to our country lately — an ignoble surrender to lawlessness and to collective insanity generated by official disrespect for truth — which is to say, reality. What’s his game? Does he have a game? Some astute observers insist that all long Mr. Durham was no less of a tool than all the other characters in this vast opera of historic villainy. Maybe so.
Among the many obstacles he faced bringing to justice the actual perpetrators of RussiaGate was that the statute of limitations had run out on some of their alleged crimes, such as FBI higher-ups James Comey, Andrew McCabe, and Rod Rosenstein lying to Congress. The statute of limitation is a lot less clear concerning charges of seditious conspiracy, that is, to “overthrow the government… and to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States”… etc. One could argue that RussiaGate was exactly about overthrowing the head of the executive branch and subsequently trying to cover it up.
One thing is certain: a substantial part of the American public is unsatisfied that the figures involved in all these misdeeds still have not been subject to any formal examination of their acts, trials in federal court being the most decisive kind of test. Yet Mr. Durham plugs on, with the upcoming trial of another seemingly small fish, Igor Danchenko, a.k.a. the “sub-source” for Christopher Steele’s notorious dossier that was used to justify the legal harassment of Mr. Trump from the midst of his 2016 campaign for president to April 2019, when Robert Mueller released his report empty of charges.
Does it just end with Danchenko then? Consider that, if nothing else, John Durham knows a lot more about all this business, and that might include some things that we don’t know. Is he constrained by Attorney General Merrick Garland’s obviously hostile DOJ? Can he or will he carry on despite that? If he can’t bring any more cases to court because of the scoping limits placed on his original assignment by former AG Barr, will he issue a report at least laying out the cases that he is prevented from bringing to court? All this gets back to John Durham’s self-respect and care for his country.
As reported by Margot Cleveland at The Federalist, the primary target of RussiaGate, Mr. Trump, has filed a civil suit in the state of Florida against Hillary Clinton, the Clinton campaign, the Democratic National Committee, the Perkins Coie law firm, and lawyers Marc Elias and Mr. Sussmann under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, better known as “RICO.” (Congress passed a law allowing those harmed by violations of RICO to sue for civil damages.) Those issues, too, are subject to a four-year statute of limitations based on exactly when the plaintiff (Mr. Trump) must have known of his injury, which was at the latest in 2018 when then-Congressman Devin Nunes, chair of the House Intel Committee, released a memo detailing the Clinton campaign’s role in the Steele Dossier nonsense. Therefore, the suit may be an expensive waste of time and effort, so why is he bringing it?
All of this pales beside the exorbitant sense of futility that We-the-Not-Insane have been subjected to in an additional cavalcade of abuse from our government since RussiaGate, namely, the colossal insults and mind-fuckeries of the Covid-19 operation. And now we’re forced to stand by and witness the deliberate demolition of America’s economy by an obviously incompetent and suspiciously installed regime behind the figurehead known as “President Joe Biden.” This is sure to end worse than not well.

I’d like to see that motto emblazoned on a new flag to at least acknowledge that we’re no longer the Republic we once imagined we were. Who knows, maybe even put it over an image of our resident curmudgeon and seer, Jim.

Jim’s faith in the legal system far exceeds mine. I’ve never considered the parasitic shenanigans of the Swamp’s Legal Eagles anything more than insincere hand waving, intended for misdirection and distraction.
When was the last time we saw a case or investigation proceed without the obvious intent to charge more hours?

I agree Disaffected, Jim’s motto should be worked into our National Anthem and should be amended by adding, “and no one really cares”!
Human beings cannot solve a debt problem by creating more debt, nor can they correct a drug or alcohol addiction by adding more drugs and/or alcohol, and it is preposterous to think that a legal problem can be ameliorated by taking more legal measures, certainly not in a system where the “laws are for the little people”.
The only two reasons that I can come up with that people continue to think and say that “the midterms will show them”, or that “one day one of the bad guys will actually be indicted and made to pay for their crimes”, is that once saying these things, they can return to the blissful ignorance of whatever distraction it is that they prefer to escape to. Face the facts people, it’s over, the system is shot, corruption rules and the American public accepts that fact. Certainly, those that profit from it do, and the rest are too lazy or distracted or entertained to give a shit!
Robert Kennedy was right, the unholy matrimony or organized crime and government would lead to the degradation of that government and take it from saying “Hi, we’re the government and we are here to help”, to “SHUT UP AND PAY!”
In America today, the 1st Amendment gives us the right to believe in a higher power, in God, in a god, or in nothing at all. To those who believe in God I say, get close to Him and stay close to Him because it is getting “real”, and it is going down now! To those who believe in nothing I would ask, “How’s that working out for you”? Not that I care.
I think a lot of people care but are completely discouraged about the possibility for justice to be served. I’ve never believed anyone would face a jail cell because of Russiagate anymore than anyone was held culpable for the massive robbery in 2008 by Wall Street. The Clinton, Obamas & Pelosies will continue to sip Chardonnay unmolested by annoying laws.

I’m an attorney who practiced in Federal Court, and I have never thought there was any chance of prosecuting the big fish like Hillary, and have said so frequently…
And of course the republicans with their appointment of Sandra Day O’Conner who was appointed by Reagan to head the high court got into the First Amendment, making religion a dirty word, so she/they could usher in the gay rights movement shrieking “we the high court are determined to bring this country into the 21st century” tho there is nothing in the constitution that gives them the right of creating law so we are right back to that wonderful party thing again.
Many excellent slogans from Jim’s followers. But I’m a Marxist from the era when the word meant ; student and critic of the political/economic theories developed by Karl Marx. Like so many other words in our vocabulary it has been bastardized beyond all recognition into the current rendering of “someone I hate.”
As a Marxist I like to at least retain some connection to the original. Hence— “Delusion is the Opium of the People” to describe the current state of consciousness in the USA.

Who are those “moderators”? Do they live in China? Last week I had a comment removed that was no more politically incorrect than usual. I think it was because I linked an interview Steve Bannon had with Niomi Wolf, who stated that, as no course ecorrections have been made and our overlords seem fearless, she could only conjecture that they know they will suffer no repercussions or punishment. She believes there will be no midterm election.

I understand the notion that we here are all allowed to post as guests to JHK, our host. However, it sometimes seems difficult to make a point and provide evidence/proof of an argument or statement if you cannot link to a news article or website. I would totally understand blocking links to spam sites, porn, whatever. But to outright block all weblinks that contribute to a narrative seems to serve no one’s interests.

I think the roots of this current scandal-nonchalance was set in motion during when Clinton-Lewinski Affair happened. The Democratic Party “officially” decided that politics trumped perjury, or any other slimy or criminal thing, and it has been a race downhill ever since.

The affair at the heart of it all was not a crime.
Monica Lewinsky was set up by her “friend” Linda Tripp, a leftover Bush operative (spy). The FBI had no reason to arrest the young woman, but they frightened her into coming along with them, and threatened her with federal perjury charges.

the crazy thing for me at the time was that i actually voted for clinton after seeing a few good years in the economy, and generally thought the whole thing was a waste of time and a distraction.

My view (wish?) is that things will never be as bad as some of the things we’ve read predicted here. At the same time, it’s a loss when it does not feel like the public is unified, has one Voice, and is pulling together to solve problems or get anything constructive done on national level. As i’ve mentioned to JHK in many of his blog posts regarding prosecuting the Deep State. It’s not going to happen because: a) The Deep State runs the Country and b) They protect their own.
This is a perfect example why Hillary Clinton and the rest of her gang will never see jail time. Instead it’s Trump who has been harassed and threatened with jail time by the Deep State. It is why George Bush never faced and never will face jail time over his war crimes in Iraq.

Re Durham, maybe the simplest explanation is the right one. He is just doing his job. He builds the cases against these crooks and sends them off to court. He has no say at all in how the jury will vote and probably realise they will acquit every time. But at least he has done his bit and can look forward to a well earnt and remunerative retirement.
Or maybe he cares more about his life than his reputation or his country.
Hillary has a track record on that.
W was never the actor in his own crimes. He, like Biden, is just an empty headed front man. I view Trump as complicit in what was done in his name in addition to what he himself did, such as using the executive declaration of emergency that was established while W pretended to rule.

Poor Trump was just naive. He doesn’t know how wealth and power work. He didn’t know that plutocrats have taken control of the government of the US. He’s never been around these kind of people. There are likely a lot of unrepresented, underrepresented and/or understated and the like ‘LGBTQ+’ folks who cringe at, and want nothing to do with, some of the supposed ‘LGBQ+’ and/or Woke things, like dictatorials and pride parades and whatnot.
When I was in high school, we used to beat up the faggots, queers and fruitcakes wherever we found them. That is probably why there was not very many of them and they mostly hid in the closet. WTF Happened.
You would get charged for a hate crime if that happened nowadays, and then you’d have to go to some kind of counseling sessions where they to indoctrinate you. What a totally messed up world we now inhabit!
Can’t worry about it too much though, those types of people are simply a genetic dead end, literally and figuratively. Hopefully they can be quashed once and for all if we can ever regain the narrative of our culture.
Gays have always been around. It is said that they occupied a cermonial niche in Cheyenne society–which is probably the best way to deal with them: acknowledge them and provide them with a defined and limited social role–with rules, just as there are rules governing everyone else’s social role.
I suspect that homosexuality is some kind of epigenetic adaptation–symptomatic of dying civilizations.
In a healthy culture, people want to “be fruitful and multiply,” work and struggle, confront danger and hardship with courage and vigor, speak their minds and assert themselves as unique individuals, etc. In an unhealthy culture, people stop having children and even abort them, shrink from trouble and effort, seek livelihoods without work or productivity, and never develop their individuality.
Re this “developing indivituality”: I think my generation may have been the last to produce real individuals–people whose character had depth and savor. I’ve known several such people. When one of my old friends died a few years ago, my comment was, “A glory has departed from the earth.” They don’t make them any more.
But to come back to gays, the ones I’ve known have mostly been fine people. Only two are still living, and one of them is never in the US–just wanders around China, India, and the rest of Asia, hanging out with Buddhists and apparently being very devout in this business. (He has a degree in Sanskrit from Columbia, so he is REALLY into this stuff.) He is also very paranoid and thinks somebody or other is “after” him. (I’ve never figured out who.)
The other lives fairly nearby and has bought the whole gay agenda thing, hook, line, and sinker.
The “gay agenda” is really just another psy-op that has co-opted and corrupted some (mostly) perfectly okay people to use for nefarious ends. The same thing happened with feminism and the civil rights movement. The government took them over and used them for destructive purposes–and continutes to do so.
Normally, as long as the government doesn’t get involved, gay people are “just folks”–and very lively and engaging folks, at that. (Except for gay women, who are awful bores.)

They were all just nice men, mostly now married, I didn’t even know some of them were gay until somebody would say something at some point about their partner or whatever. In addition to the nice, quiet one who killed himself, I had a closer colleague who was just unhappy because he wanted a long-term relationship and wanted nothing to do with the gay ‘scene’. I didn’t know he was gay either until he’d been there for a while and said something. Maybe I have a defective gaydar. But also the gay people I have actually known haven’t turned their sexuality into their life’s work.

I’ve never even had a conversation with my nephew about the fact that he’s gay. Or with any of his family on the subject, except for the evening my late brother called and told me because they’d just found out themselves. It’s a heck of a long time to keep up the momentum. Why couldn’t it have a day like everything else? And they could have called it Gay Acceptance Day or something. I’m not sure why you need to be proud. My gay nephew has never mentioned the word (gay) in front of me. I don’t imagine he’s any more proud of being gay that he is of having brown hair, although he expects to be accepted. Even his family didn’t know he was gay (they did wonder) until he was about 21 and one of them asked him. He just assumed they knew.

I had a lovely colleague once whom I didn’t know well, but he’d been in the firm long before I got there. He was just unlucky being the last in a swath of redundancies and carried on working for the firm as a freelancer. But the consensus seemed to be that he was closet gay and presumably not able to come out to his family, as a result of which he was probaby also depressed. Coming to work kept him going, so the loss of it pushed him over the edge. One bank holiday (when lonely people imagine everyone else is having a great time) he killed himself. So if having a ‘day’ that tells gay people they’re OK helps stop that kind of thing, it doesn’t bother me. But I’m not in favour of it being hijacked the way it has been by random perverts on a mission.

Horrible genetic diseases of which it was a struggle to look at the photos. Babies with hideous conditions who were in pain from the moment they were born.

What did he gain? One can hope he gained evidence via testimony given under oath of greater crimes involving those at the top of this attempt to subvert the Republic. After spending about 20 years doing forensic consulting as part of my medical practice, working with lawyers and judges on cases of head injuries and similar calamities, I concluded that the US Corporation’s justice system is incorrigibly corrupt to the core, from county courts to the supreme court. I won’t bore everyone with tales of the specific corruption, but I will summarize by saying that I can count on one hand the number of judges I’ve seen who DIDN’T have some degree of conflicting money or relationship interest in the cases they tried. Think in terms of a judge who owns huge amounts of an insurance companies’ stock and the case involves the payout (sometimes in the millions of $) by THAT COMPANY to an injured patient. Or, the judge whose mistress is a partner in the law firm of the insurance defense attorney. Regardless of how good the plaintiff lawyer is at presenting the case, do you think that patient has any change of prevailing (or receiving a fair settlement), despite having a life changing catastrophic injury? Hell NO!!!! RARELY happens. Such is reality in the US Corporation court system.

There are several studies out there, mostly speculative as judges generally refuse to complete psychological questionnaires, that show that of the professions, judges, lawyers, and surgeons rank highest on the scales of psychopathy (i.e. psychopathic tendencies). Even with the flaws in the studies, they confirm my personal/professional experience. Very scary in terms of whom one might want to depend upon in crises.

I once knew a guy who claimed that he had gotten a couple of lawyers and a judge disbarred by setting them up for payoffs with marked bills. I got called for jury duty and was amazed at the propaganda they put out telling us that jury nullification was not a thing.

I’ve tried to live a life based on my own personal ethics. I am a ‘designer’…. Craft shows in the early days when cash was king. Back then it was either cash or check, and my fellow craftsmen taught me the finer points of money laundering 101. It wasn’t always easy, but I felt I was doing my part in defunding the War Machine. The move toward credit cards (and now digital currency) ended all this. The big guy wants his cut, or else … I also realized that privacy was a thing of the past when I couldn’t even rent a motel room without a credit card.
The Dark Side? There was a time when I stood at the Crossroads – a suiter offering a life of ease and the house of my dreams. He was brilliant but flawed, worked for the same outfit Snowden walked away from, but this was long before that. He had impeccable taste in cars, art, architecture, and women, but a deep disdain for all things ‘common’, including most people.
I am solution oriented, always searching. If we all stopped paying taxes, that would be a good start. But enough people would have to do it, and all at once, more people than the jails can hold.
The Truckers Convoy also gave me hope, but they needed overwhelming support from the people, and the people were too busy dealing with trying to survive a crashing economy, or too fearful of retribution.
Now I’ve lost hope that we will ever rise up in the classical sense.

It goes back to one of my favorite themes, question authority. That was probably the most worthwhile of the bumper sticker slogans of the late sixties.
People sometimes took it to mean “defy the authorities”, but being able to question who has legitimate authority over an American, is possibly the single most important part of what made America great.

I would point out a fascinating bit of exegesis regarding the events of Genesis Chapter 19 – Sodom and Gomorrah.

it’s been a cold, rainy spring here too–though this is nearly ideal for greens and other cool-season crops, as well as for setting out the seedlings of the warm-season crops like tomatoes and peppers, and planting okra, green beans, and squash. So everything is flourishing.
We are all eating wilted lettuce as fast as we can, but there is still no hope that we’ll finish off the lettuce (Red Deer Tongue and Green Deer Tongue–my favorites) before it bolts. The collard leaves are HUGE. Neither of us has ever seen them grow so big. We’re planning to freeze a bunch of it before hot weather sets in and the white flies start to eat it up. (Or maybe I’ll order some floating row covers.) The spinach has already bolted, and the beets are getting fat and will be ready to harvest soon. Beet greens are my favorite cooked greens.
I will soon have my new .22 rifle for shooting rabbits. They haven’t been too troublesome so far, but my daughter tells me they have nibbled the carrot tops and collards a little–and I have a hankering for a little target practice, once I figure out how to shoot that thing.

Many people must feel the way you do. It would be nasty, bloody, and deadly. There seems to be no one to rally around, no core of leaders to boldly show the way. One would think that many police and military have sentiments the same as these, but who would they follow when the cries ring out, “we must protect our democracy, our sacred constitution”.

I think a better plan would be to look through history for people or groups that have been at least moderately successful in resisting the moral decay of cultures in terminal decline, and evading the econonic consequences.
The only example of this that I know of are the Amish/Mennonites. Maybe others here know of other examples.
The Mennonites originated in Switzerland in the 1500s and were much persecuted by both Catholic and Protestant churches in Europe. They survived by fleeing to countries that allowed them to live according to their beliefs. Wikipedia says that, today, “Mennonites can be found in communities in 87 countries on six continents.”
Consider the elements of their belief system. How have they protected themselves and their communities from the moral, social, and economic ruin that surrounds them? My suggestion would be to “Go, and do likewise.” No need to re-invent the wheel here.
For we private individuals, as-is, where-is, this could be problematic. But what you can (probably) do is to get out of the cities. Move somewhere out of the path of the coming storm. Form relationships with your neighbors. Join a church. Maybe even join a local militia. Maybe a real religious community alone the lines of the Amish/Mennonites could evolve from that. You could try to foster such an evolution, as circumstances develop.
The bottom line is that our country is undergoing a moral crisis. That should be the primary focus of any medicinal project, and it would perhaps be most wisely focused on you and yours.
The Mormons showed extraordinary resourcefulness and organizational ability for a century or so, expanding across the American West and then the world. But as a missionary religion, they didn’t have the luxury of the isolation of the Mennonites, Hutterites, and Amish. So now they’ve been caught by the world and have sold their soul for worldly success. They’ll accept gay marriage in the next few decades – just as negatively, they gave up polygamy and the White priesthood to get in good with the Anglo-American power structure.
Yes, any such group needs to take every possible precaution against getting ensnared by “the world.” Hence the Amish/Mennonite rejection of most modern technology and the prohibition against all thinks “fancy.” So they have a dress code and I think some other prohibitions against “fussiness,” such as no cut flowers in the house and of course a uniformity in hair styles and beards. They pay taxes, but they don’t pay into Social Security. I sometimes think their pacifism is mainly for the purpose of excusing them from participation in government wars.
Many people have suggested that their pacifism will be their undoing in times to come.
The RLDS (as distinct from the “Brigamites”) are quite thick in this area, and they often form little rural communities that are sort of “pretend” self-sufficient, and clearly very well financed. One of my acquaintances lives in one of these communities, where there are numerous homes of the McMansion type, each on what looks like 20 acres of land. There is definitely no stinting on the modern conveniences in these communities. They do seem to run little businesses of one kind or another–none of which could possibly support such a lifestyle. I’m sure some of them have jobs. Just not the ones I know.

I went to a lab to get my blood tested today, and they had a strict mask protocol. They had a sign on the door, I ignored it. Everyone in the waiting room had one on, I didn’t GAF. The lab assistant ushered me in, asked me to get a mask, I smiled and said, “no, thanks, I don’t wear them.” She then said, “well can you cover your face with… I don’t know.” So I put my sweater cuff up to my chin and followed her. Then when we get to her station she says in a low voice, “I’m ok with you not wearing one, it’s just some people complain.” I said, “Isn’t it crazy how we’re held hostage by a few paranoids?” She nodded and laughed.
So the people working in medicine don’t even buy the bullshit but they are bullied into it for no reason, sort of like how the entire medical industrial complex still pushes hand sanitizer decades after they realized it causes super bugs. They institutionalize insanity and they don’t look back.

When the governpimps over here changed Walmart’s status to non-essential last December or January and so everyone had to wear masks, I still didn’t and they threatened me in the store with police action. So I didn’t go there for a few months until it was lifted.
People still wear mask where they don’t have to, but it seems their numbers are very gradually decreasing. They may be crossing the threshold into minority. Should be interesting to see how long the masks are kept on and who wears them.

My wife has been in a bit of a frenzy all day because she is hosting her book club tonight and because she has been simultaneously cooking a wonderful meat balls and spaghetti sauce for our family dinner tonight.
Due to the timing of everything, dinner had to be pushed forward a half hour before the usual. And so, Bo called Perter and to her amazement he answered his phone. This is unusual in the extreme because he is almost always asleep (he sleeps more than a cat, and I am not exaggerating), his phone is not charged, his phone is in the other room, he has accidentally turned the volume to zero or (fill in the blank as to why Peter rarely answers his phone).
So anyway, Peter answered and Bo told him to come down for dinner. By the time he arrived she had set the table and had started boiling the spaghetti and then continued her book club preparations elsewhere in the house.
When she returned to the kitchen, there was Peter in his usual chair at the table eating a small bowl of ice cream. Rather than explode in anger she figured what-the-hell it’s ONLY a small bowl. She again left the kitchen and returned minutes later to see Peter with a very large bowl in front of him containing the entire remains of the ice cream carton.
She exploded on him. “How can you eat all that ice cream when you know we are going to have dinner in two minutes?” He gets up, goes to the living room, sits on the couch and appears to be nearly asleep as I come down from my man-cave on the way to the kitchen.
Bo is furious and tells me about Peter and all the ice cream he has just eaten. I suggest to her that when she doles out the spaghetti and sauce she should only put two strands on his plate with a teaspoon of sauce. She didn’t go this extreme but she did give him a ridiculously small portion and asked him “is this enough?” He said “yes” and further “if I take more will you stop making a big deal about it?”
As I have mentioned before, Peter has no routine in his life. He does not live by the clock. He does not do things in some order considered normal by others. He is driven by his latest whim.

Just like when we (and in particular, my wife) cared for her Mom in our home from 2005 till her death in 2014 (3 days short of her 92nd birthday). She lived in the same space now occupied by Peter. Her dementia had reached a level where she was a danger living by herself at her home in Toms River, NJ.
This is what children should do and do do for their elderly parents and/or siblings. I always thought it was going to be my brother who would wind up on our third floor but he, and we, had the good fortune to have him simply drop dead one day at his home in Florida. That is also what happened with my father-in-law… just dropped dead one day.

You know, I’d be about the last person to find fault with you for being irritable or ungracious in your feelings about Peter. It’s tough to have any “outsider” living in your home for an extended period of time–or even an adult child. They will be inconsiderate and say and do things that rub you the wrong way. They’ll make more work for you, often without intending to. They’ll put you in difficult positions. They’ll get in spats with other family members, where you have to mediate.
But these cases are just one more thing where you just have to soldier on, and try to treat as one of those blessings in disguise.
I find that the thing that helps the most when some negative thought intrudes itself into my mind is to almost reflexively make a quick prayer to St. Michael: “St. Michael, defend us in battle.” You are really engaging with a demonic influence that is sowing your mind with destructive thoughts.

I sometimes put ice cream, if it’s on special at the store, in my cold milk-brewed teas that I drink by the bucketful. Then, I can’t sleep, so I end up sleeping more than a cat.
As for the spaghetti, my first question reading that was, ‘Why put meatballs in it? Just make it a meat sauce and cut some time off the prep.’.

Speaking of ‘sleeping more than a cat’… Peter has always slept a lot, even as a teen according to his sister, my wife. His current excessive sleep I believe can be attributed to his heart disease (although I’m not a doctor).
I’ll bet you can recall being 18 or 19 years old and staying out at night with your friends ‘to all hours’ like, say, 3 AM. Well Bo tells me her parents never had this worry and this problem because Peter couldn’t keep his eyes open past 11 or 12. He would have his buddies drop him off at home while they felt the night was just getting started.

Milk is mostly water. If one is going to add cream or milk afterward to a water-brewed tea, they might as well cut that step out and just brew it with milk, and for a much better, non-watery-milk result.
If understood correctly, those in India, as an example, also brew their ‘chais’– spiced teas– with milk.
I hot or cold-brew my coffees also with milk instead of water and have heard that some people in Korea, for example, add evaporated milk to their water-brewed coffees. I’ve done that before, but again, why do that when you can simply brew it with milk?
Having Peter around sounds a lot like having small children in the house. Or even large children. At least he’s not playing in the toilet or the cat box, and you don’t have two of them throwing cat turds at each other. I assume he’s not refusing to flush the toilet because he believes this will summon the toilet monster who lives down there and will “get him.” You also haven’t mentioned him running away from you at the grocery store and hiding, or drawing on the walls and furniture, or crying and clinging to your leg while you’re cooking dinner, or setting the back yard on fire playing with sparklers, or climbing out the upstairs window to sit on the roof–and taking the three-year-old with him.

After a long (many years) devolution in her health, Peter’s wife, Darlene died on the 4th of July, 2014. She had what the doctors variously called Parkinsonism or MSA (Multiple System Atrophy). Years later Peter finally began to do something about selling his house which was costing him a fortune to keep……….. well, not exactly since he simply stopped paying the monthly mortgage, HOA fees, utilities, etc. Also, never filed his tax returns for that year or any year to this very day. The tale of his sale of the home would make a nice long chapter in a memoir if not an entire non-fiction novel.
I bring this up simply because your mention, Anthea, of toilets and turds jogged my memory. I’ll make the connection somewhere below. Unfortunately I will have to skip 90% of this story in the interest of my time and yours…………
Peter bumbled around in his usual half-assed way for more than a year using realtors who simply didn’t understand who they were dealing with, namely Peter. Linda, a friend of my wife died and the husband threw a memorial party for her. Peter barely knew this woman, had met her once but he loves funerals. Seriously, he cannot miss a wake or funeral service no matter how slight the connection between his life and that of the deceased. He puts on a suit and tie, mingles with the crowd and turns on the charm. People are favorably impressed. He’s good at it and I think that’s why he enjoys these occasions so much. He comes across as not merely normal but better than normal. Plus there is always food.
So, as it happens, one of the attendees at this memorial for Linda was a female real estate agent who went by the unlikely name Cookie. Once she and Peter began to chat it was inevitable she would be his new house sale agent.
Thank God he met Cookie because she was the slave driver needed to push him to do what was necessary. After the house finally sold, Cookie, my wife and I would commiserate by phone… we were so relieved the nightmare was over. She had never dealt with anyone quite like Peter.
On the day of the closing Cookie inspected the house to make sure every last thing had been removed and the place was clean and shipshape. Oops, there was a can of paint sitting in the garage. She told him he had to get rid of it. Awhile later she spotted Peter pouring the paint into a whole he had dug in the lawn right next to the driveway. She went ape shit on him. “Are you fucking crazy? How could you do such a thing?”
During a 5 month period preceding the sale Peter lived on our third floor while he worked to remove everything from his house. He was driving us crazy. He did nothing to establish a new permanent residence and I gave him an ultimatum that he had to be out by June 1st. He assured me he’d be out although he never once mentioned where he would go. I asked “what about your mail?” which now was coming to our house. It is not something he had thought about.
A few days before June 1st he disappeared without ceremony. A week later my wife went to the third floor to see if he had taken all his possessions. She found the toilet full of turds submerged in yellow liquid. Thus my mention of toilets and turds at the beginning of this tale.
Sounds to me as if you and Mrs. Shtik are constantly setting up delicate little doo-dads for Peter to knock over. I would not waste my time trying to please someone incapable of appreciation. I would try to play the role of an invisible fence, to keep Peter from leaving the premises and chasing cars, and getting him to appointments. But forget about two-way exchanges.

Everyone wants to talk about how the World Economic Forum is running a conspiracy to make everyone poor, and how inflation fits into this. This is all obvious. They are clearly doing this on purpose in order to make everyone poor.
However – this simply does not make any sense within the context of remaining international competition. Why would you want to completely destroy your country’s economic power while you are still trying to fight wars against Russia and China?
Here is a simple outline of what I’ve argued over and over again regarding the overarching picture of the current situation:
There is a long-running plan for a global “scientific dictatorship” that was more or less solidified in the 1970s when they first started pushing the environmentalist flapdoodle
In the 1970s, the people planning this did not believe that China was a threat at all, because they basically thought Chinamen were backward autistic morons
In the 1990s, Western industry was moved to China, creating massive wealth in China, and everyone just assumed that these small-eyed people they thought were autistic morons would be turned into gay retards by a little bit of economic success
In the late 00s and early 10s, it became clear that China was not interested in being a part of the globalist project – they were just going to keep the money and do their own thing, which is a kind of merchant empire that is not dependent on the interdependence of the Western globalist order
By this time, no one running elite organizations in the West was capable of recalibrating the agenda based on the predictions about China being proved wrong
The elite are pushing forward with the agenda as it was laid out before China’s current direction was clear
I don’t think this is really that complicated, but a lot of people seem to not understand what I am saying. I have no desire or ability to force anyone to agree with me, but if they’re going to disagree, they should put forward a response to what I’ve said and a countertheory on why it appears that the West is totally destroying itself in a program that is going to leave the Chinese ruling the world.
The only “honest” rebuttal I’ve seen is schizos claiming that Russia and China are “in on it with the WEF.” I’ve responded to that a lot, and schizos have responded with even more extreme schizo stuff, but that becomes an epistemic regress where the core belief of the schizo is that there is an omniscient secret elite that cannot make a mistake. I personally believe that evil is not infallible, and if you want to prove that globalist supervillains have a secret unseen plan, you need to bring facts or at least explain how it could function – i.e., what type of secret contract exists between the WEF and the Chinese that says that after the West destroys itself, the Chinese will go along with the Jewish-globalist program? How can that secret contract be enforced if the US implodes its economy and can no longer fund its super military?
The bottom line is: as far as I am presently aware, no one could even in theory explain what is happening right now as perfectly rational unless they can come up with an explanation for giving all geopolitical and economic power to China. I don’t think anyone has an explanation for that, which is why people either ignore what I’ve said, purposefully fail to understand it, or go full-schizo.
My view of the Western order in 2022 can be summarized as: “a formerly all-powerful geopolitical order that has begun collapsing under its own hubris.”
Nearly a quarter of the world’s population is Chinese. If you include contiguous Asian satellite states of the Chinese, who are more or less part of the same conglomerate, you have more than a quarter of the world’s population. China has made most of the world dependent on it through trade. This is not a small problem. It’s not something that can be brushed aside with an “oh, we’ll figure that out later” hand wave.
Frankly, the logical thing would have been to leave Donald Trump in power, skip the coronavirus, keep the economy rolling, keep the military rolling, and figure out a way to undermine China economically and if necessary, militarily. After China is thwarted, Russia falls pretty easy, Iran falls pretty easy, then you’ve got a clear runway for your weirdo Great Reset transhumanist gay pedophile cyborg agenda. That would have been my move if I was the leader of the global Jewish conspiracy. But they didn’t do that. You saw what they did, and it puts them in a much, much worse situation in terms of dealing with the China problem.
The Ukraine War as Microcosm
Imagine the analogy of the global chessboard. With every move you make in a game of chess, you have fewer possible moves remaining. If we go back to pre-Covid, China had a solid upper-hand, but the game was far from over. There was a series of moves the West could have made to dislodge China. At this point however, this chess match is at end game stage, and whatever moves the West makes, I do not see any path to victory. If you just take it down to the microcosm, look at the Ukraine war. No one can explain what is going on here. Trust me, I’ve asked – no one can explain it.
Part of my overarching theory about what is happening with the Western elite is that the systems that civilizations run on now are extremely complex. You have too much compartmentalization without any effective grand strategists. Without a clear view of all of the compartments, if any compartment fails to accurately assess the situation, or fails to deliver the results it promised, the entire thing fails. What’s more, the compartments have their own internal drives, which can conflict with each other.
The Ukraine war had three main components or compartments:
The military campaign itself
The propaganda war to get the population of the West on sides with a major conflict with Russia for unclear reasons backed by emotionalized pablum
The economic war to use sanctions and boycotts to cripple or at least significantly damage the Russian economy
All three of those compartments, which are all run by separate groups with separate leadership and separate internal agendas, had to deliver the goods for this project to succeed. That did not happen.
Monumentally, the sanctions regime failed. The plan with the military operation was to simply hang on until economic chaos erupted in Russia, causing civil unrest which would cause them to have to abandon the military operation. It’s unclear whether or not a Russian economic collapse would have even caused civil unrest (I argued early on that it would not), but we will never know because there was no economic collapse. The Russian economy is actually doing quite well.
Because the military operation was based around the idea that there would be an economic collapse, the military operation is not going to work, and increasingly, we are seeing public sentiment turn away from support for this war. The logical thing to do would have been to turn the military war off as soon as it was clear that the economic war had failed. If the West were to negotiate the surrender of the Donbass, to agree to not allow the Ukraine to join NATO, they could keep most of the Ukraine and declare it a victory because Putin never took Kiev. (Remember that it was not considered a serious blow to the empire when Putin took Crimea in 2014.) Instead, you have a situation where it appears as though the military compartment doesn’t care that the economic war has failed, and they’re just pushing ahead, fighting to the last Ukrainian. The propaganda war is beginning to unravel, as each day that passes with the Russians gaining ground and more of the Ukraine military destroyed, it becomes more and more ridiculous to claim that the Ukraine is on the verge of a march on Moscow. In the beginning, the media could just lie, but it’s gone on long enough – and had enough of a real world effect on people’s lives – that people are beginning to ask questions.
Impending Doom
You can see the same compartmentalization catastrophe on the larger scale, where there does not appear to have been clear communication between the geopolitical forces that were supposed to be dealing with the Eastern powers and the people running the coronavirus scam and now driving the population of the West into deeper poverty and social mayhem. Aside from removing Trump from power, which seems like a goal entirely driven by sentimental paranoia, every outcome of the coronavirus agenda has been negative for the Western regime. Yes, it is a longterm goal of the globalist project to collapse the economy, to strip people of their freedoms, but doing those things while China remains so powerful, with its own stable economy and social order, puts the West in a much weaker position.
Foreign policy publications have been claiming for 15 years now that China is on the verge of collapse, so I guess if you believed that, it would make sense to get started with the “Great Reset” Western impoverishment agenda, and fabricate an assumption about how this would affect China negatively and hasten their collapse. The problem is, this is not true. China is not on the verge of collapse. Russia is not even on the verge of collapse. The only people who are on the verge of collapse are Western nations, where they have made people much poorer and less socially cohesive while failing to deal with foreign threats to their global hegemony.
“Western Collapse”
People will claim that when I say “the West is going to collapse,” I’m being overly optimistic. Part of this is my use of hyperbolic language. I don’t actually think that the US government is going to stop existing in the near future. What I am talking about is the unseating of the US as a contender as the premier world superpower. Once it becomes clear that this is no longer in the cards, I expect there to finally be some form of recalibration. We don’t know what that will look like, or if it will be good or bad for normal people, but it will happen.
When the USSR collapsed, Russia did not stop existing, but it was no longer a contender for global domination. I picture the collapse of the Western order happening in a similar way, where US-controlled territories in Europe and elsewhere break off, and you’re left with a US government that is much more inward-facing, as whoever takes charge at that point is going to be concerned about the management of what’s left. It’s also unlikely that the collapse of the US empire will be as spectacular as the collapse of the USSR, and will instead happen in phases. Arguably, the loss of the Ukraine war is the first phase, with the catastrophic surrender in Afghanistan being foreshadowing. Both events are proof that the empire’s power center is no longer capable of projecting power to the fringes of the empire, and is severely lacking in strategic vision. The next thing is going to be the loss of Taiwan. Then you’re going to be faced with some very serious economic crisis in the West, as the inflation comes home to roost, and the focus is going to be on the immediate.
Most of the immigrants are going to leave when things get bad, so it’s very possible that we could see a popular strongman appealing to whites rise in the wake of an economic crisis at the end of empire. Of course, it could also be something horrible. We could be too damaged as a society to rally around a popular strongman leader, and it could be that you will just have foreigners looting the wreckage. You can find either example in history, and examples of both happening at the same time, or one followed by the other. I’ve always found attempts to draw an exact comparison between what is happening right now in history to be a kind of tea leaf-reader voodoo.
I’m not the only person who saw all of this coming, and there were in fact members of globalist think-tanks making similar or nigh-identical arguments. Right now, Mark Milley, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is publicly stating that there needs to be a negotiated settlement in the Ukraine. Before the Ukraine conflict began, Milley was saying pretty loudly that the US Military does not have the “necessary readiness” to fight Russia and/or China, and he seems to be worried that this is the direction things are going in. Meanwhile, Volodymyr Zelensky, who is effectively an agent of the US State Department, claimed on the recent milestone of the 100th day since the beginning of the invasion that the Ukraine is on the cusp of victory. This week, Biden quintupled-down on support for the beleaguered Ukrainian military, again promising an infinite amount of weapons, and again appearing to condemn any call for negotiations. From what I’m able to gather, the current thinking of whoever is running this war agenda is that because Russia assumed that the West would negotiate, if they refuse to negotiate, they will win in some way that they haven’t thought of yet. The fact that there is no one you can point to in the Biden administration responsible for these decisions no doubt makes those people less concerned about the outcome of their decisions. This situation is definitely entering into the realm of “emerging chaos.” There are powerful people now calling for a scale-back, so it’s possible you could see that before the economic situation enters terminal decline. It’s also possible that this might not happen. It’s possible that the Ukraine situation could escalate directly into a world war. “Chaos” is what it sounds like it is.
In the long-term and even the medium-term, I’m hopeful about the future. The biggest impediment to people at least being allowed to choose to live normal lives has been this globalist agenda, and its failure is a victory for humanity.

I have to wonder about the veracity of this anecdote. I have never been personally acquainted with any Amish, but I can’t see this conversation playing out this way. Exactly 4 weeks ago I had hip replacement surgery in an operation that used to be considered horrible. Today I’m in an almost pain-free condition walking around with a cane while beginning to practice walking with no cane at all. I’ll be walking normally within the next 30 days. Also I’ve had back pain nearly daily for years, and since my operation haven’t had a drop of back pain at all. That’s what technology can do for people. And guess what? I haven’t been robotically controlled – I feel normal – with no change in attitude at all.

Who derives it and within what systems/contexts? Corporations? Governments? Sociopsychopaths? Need-creation/Bernays-influenced advertising? Undemocratically? Land-use/Land-grab/Overseas cultural-impoverishment issues? Cost-flipping/Outsourcing? Wage/Debt-slavery?
What other kinds of usage and derivation embeds does so-called technology or pseudo-tech have? Cradle-to-grave issues? (Landfill economy? Negative externalities?) Etcetera.
That writ, consider also the idea of ‘inappropriate’ technology. When, where, how or why is it inappropriate? Who decides?

Here’s a little anecdote now as an aside: That year I was working in Brookline, MA, Dukakis’ home town. An associate of mine got called by the Secret Service asking if they could rent his house for the campaign. He agreed, and I got some info as to what was going on during the campaign – nothing momentous, but very interesting. Dukakis in those days used to ride the trolley into work. I didn’t, but I knew many people who met him on their way taking the T into downtown Boston. Of course, that mostly stopped once he captured the Democratic nomination.
Anyway, Bush was not a good president. Then Clinton came along in 1992, and I always thought he was sleazy, a step down from Bush. In 2000, we got the younger Bush, and he was not bright, a further step down in leadership. In 2008 I initially had some hope about Obama, but I lost that hope very early on when he announced his appointments. The result was even more steps down. Then we got Trump, who quickly disappointed me. He had some good ideas but he was a clown. More steps down in quality.
Now we have a real joke as president. It will be interesting to see if he can last the whole 4 years. Since 2020, we’ve fallen many, many steps down politically. We’re now at the bottom, and I wonder if it’s possible to go down even more, and if so, how much of a disaster that can be.
Who will be running in 2024? Every Dem is horrific: Clinton, OBeto, Michelle, Newsome, etc. Repubs are probably just as bad. The best bet is probably Desantis, but I’ll take a wager that between now and 2024 we’ll find out a lot of negative things about him. Other than him, is there any possible candidate who can lead us back up those steps? As of now, I can’t think of anyone. I’m just gonna go with the flow and observe the coming catastrophe from my back deck, with a pistol in my hand and wait for the onslaught. Speaking of dying, I thought I was checking out this morning. Had a supraventricular tachycardia incident that scared the living shit out of me. Pretty much all the symptoms of a heart attack except for the chest pain. Heart rate of 173 with very low BP for a few hours. I’m almost 65 so my max heart rate under extreme load should be no more than 155. Went to the emergency room and they got me under control with a double shot of adenosine, but it was still a pretty wild ride for a few hours. I’m sure the bill will be equally heart-wrenching as well.
Turns out I’ve been mixing copious amounts of caffeine, alcohol, too-hard exercise, and stress from work (FY 23 budget building time) and home (two units in building up for sale, other owner is out of her mind with legal worries that she pours onto me). At any rate, now I’ve got to take time out to schedule a stress test down in Santa Fe, so there’s some more stress too. Had troubles with booze and rapid heart rate in the past too (not this fast), so this has to be the final go ’round for alcohol and me. Need to moderate the caffeine slightly as well, but that shouldn’t be much of a problem.

When I get it, maybe twice a year, my heartrate runs about 180, I take one metoprolol. If that does not work I take a flecanide and that works every time. I’m also 65. Nope. Nothing that dramatic, just a sudden very, very warm feeling and then my heartrate dropped like a stone from 173 to 80. Never had anything like that before, so didn’t know what to expect. The doctors and nurses were totally nonplussed. Matter of fact, they had a guy a few cubicles down with the same thing that they were even more worried about. That’s it for me and alcohol! I get into this rut where I use caffeine all day to get up and alcohol at night to come back down again. Bad, bad combo! I actually had this bad when I was in Germany and never sought treatment, being a young stupid ass. Used to wake up nights in a cold sweat with my heart beating like a jackhammer and irregular as hell. Wonder I didn’t kill myself then.

Caffeine and I have a weird relationship.
I like coffee no more than three cups a day but I hand grind it and pour it slowly over using a special drip filter straight into the cup and it is wonderful.
The water is exactly 205 and with Lavazza crema hand ground there are zero bitter notes for frame of reference think any dark coffee from Starbucks which in my opinion is undrinkable in a straight black state.
If I drink more than three cups in a short period it makes me irritable as hell but if I don’t drink coffee the day just seems to drag.
The other symptom I get from over caffeinating myself is muscle spasm and a bad headache.
