You thought the Titanic sinking was an astounding spectacle? Looks like the ship of the Deep State got some holes ripped in its hull and may be fixing to go down sometime in 2023. The fun-and-games about voting for Speaker of the House are over. Time to get down to bidness and compel some folks to do some ‘splainin’ under oath. You don’t know for sure who will be chair of exactly which congressional committee, but there will be several of them running investigations at the same time, looking to shake out some verifiable truth from the dumpster of misrule, sedition, and perfidy that America fell into the past decade. Here are a bunch of my top outlines for inquiries.
Covid-19. Forget about Fauci for the moment. First, subpoena the various deputies working under him going back as far as the twentieth century and see what they know about the twisted path that gain-of-function research on coronaviruses traveled from the DOD’s DARPA to the labs of Dr. Ralph Baric at the U of North Carolina, to labs in Canada, Ukraine, and finally to Wuhan Institute of Virology in China. Then put Dr. Fauci’s ass in the witness chair and wring out the ‘splainin.’ Ask about the patents on the various parts of C-19 and on the mRNA “vaccines” cooked up to fight it, and who got the royalties emanating from all of that. Ask him how and why he continued gain-of-function research post-2014 after the White House directed it to stop. Ask him to ‘splain’ his relations with one Peter Daszak of the EcoHealth Alliance.
Ask Deborah Birx to ‘splain’ exactly what was going on in that White House C-19 task force. Why did the public health officers demonize early treatments with known, safe drugs and censor anyone who spoke out against their insane policies? What did the task force know about Pfizer and Moderna’s “vaccine” trials? Ask Rochelle Walensky how come she and the CDC kept pushing mRNA shots and boosters long after a broad array of injuries and deaths presented from their use. Put Bill Gates’s ass in the chair and have him ‘splain’ the labyrinth of funding mechanisms he set up to push “vaccines” all over the globe and how his tentacles happen to penetrate into the World Health Org (WHO). Ask him if he ever had conversations with the leadership of the WHO and the World Economic Forum (WEF) about population reduction and methods for achieving it.
Weaponization of Government. Time for FBI Director Christopher Wray to ‘splain’ how come he sat silently in possession of the Hunter Biden laptop — stuffed as it was with deal memoranda about payoffs from Ukraine and other foreign lands — through the first impeachment of Mr. Trump in late 2019 and early 2020, from the initial House hearings into the Senate trial… when said laptop was full of exculpatory evidence (“Brady material”)proving that Mr. Trump had a good reason to inquire about those matters in a phone call with V. Zelensky. Ask Mr. Wray what he knows about the roles of “whistleblower” (CIA agent) Eric Ciaramella and Intel Agency Inspector General Michael Atkinson and their relations with former House Intel Committee chair Adam Schiff. Ask Mr. Wray how many federal agents were involved in the January 6 riot at the Capitol building, both inside and outside. Ask him why one Ray Epps was never indicted for incitement captured on video. Ask him why the FBI never made a murder or manslaughter referral in the death of Ashli Babbitt. Don’t let him bullshit the committee about “ongoing investigations” blah blah. Ask Mr. Wray if he directly ordered his agents to monitor and censor social media companies, and, if not him, who did?
Summon the ghost of James Comey to ‘splain’ the finer points of RussiaGate: how he fell for Hillary Clinton’s Steele Dossier prank; how he used Columbia University law professor Daniel Richman to leak info about confidential meetings with Mr. Trump; whether he ordered Peter Strzok’s sandbagging operation on Gen. Mike Flynn, the FISA court shenanigans, the hiring of CrowdStrike instead of using FBI forensic experts to vet evidence; the run-up to “Crossfire Hurricane” the roles of international men of mystery Stefan Halper and Josef Mifsud in the operations to incriminate Trump appointees, Nellie Ohr’s role as a DOJ-FBI go-between with the Fusion GPS company.
Let’s hear from former CIA director John Brennan about the “17 Intel Agencies” who swore Russia was behind 2016 election interference and then about the 50-odd distinguished intel officers and other high officials who swore that Hunter Biden’s laptop was a Russia put-on job. Ask former Attorney General Bill Barr to ‘splain’ if he was informed about the Hunter Biden laptop when the FBI got it in 2019. Bring back former AG Jeff Sessions to ‘splain’ how the Mueller Special Counsel’s office was stuffed with Democratic Party activist Lawfare cadres, and how he determined that Mr. Mueller was mentally up to the job. Bring in Mr. Mueller to ‘splain’ how he testified that in the two-year course of his inquiry he never heard of the company Fusion GPS.
Find a special booster chair for Merrick Garland to ‘splain’ how come so many January 6 suspects are being held indefinitely pre-trial in the DC lockup on rinky-dink charges under the harshest conditions (solitary confinement, denial of medical care) in defiance of due process of law, in particular the constitutional right to a speedy trial. Ask Mr. Garland why he’s devoting vast resources of the DOJ to pursue ever more January 6 protesters on Mickey Mouse charges. Ask him to ‘splain’ how it came to pass that he went after parents protesting at school boards about indecent sex ed for little children and racist anti-white indoctrination. Ask him about sending SWAT teams on predawn raids to the homes of investigation targets whose lawyers volunteered to deliver them to the FBI offices. Ask him why he appointed a RussiaGate-involved lawyer, one Robert K Hur, as Special Counsel in the “Joe Biden” classified document matter.
That’s just my short list of areas to begin excavations. The Biden Family influence-peddling operation would be a fertile ground for a dedicated inquiry of a special committee. So would the adventures of Democratic Party Lawfare election engineer Marc Elias, along with the election funding activities ($400-million) of Mark Zuckerberg’s Center for Technology and Civic Life in 2020. I’m sure readers can think of a thousand other matters worth airing in the public arena. Let’s see if The New York Times, The WashPo, and the cable news networks actually report any of this accurately…or if they just turn up the gaslight.
One somewhat disconnected thought, a sort-of postscript: The World Economic Forum’s annual jamboree at Davos, Switzerland, opens this coming Monday. Der Schwabenklaus, Bill Gates, and an international cast of global Big Machers will be in one room for the opening plenary session all at the same time. Think about it. Just sayin’.

Some years ago, we met a couple from Switzerland traveling on Amtrak.
In the course of our conversation I asked why no one ever bothered those fine people who meet in Davos.
They said that Davos is high up in the mountains, accessible only by private plane and one of those systems where gondolas go up on cables (like a ski lift, but the name escapes me).
And that the Swiss police make sure that no one goes up that mountain unless they are vetted and allowed.
So it is up to Putin. Unfortunately, he seems too reasoned and law-abiding to do the entire world a favor like that.
I’m not so sure that scurrying Davos servants aren’t even worse than their effete masters.
Oh if only Putin would do the world THAT favor. Then he could be forgiven for his crusade in Ukraine.. lol
I wish them all bad cases of food poisoning, long toilet lines, and lots of banana peels strewn all over the floor. Or, better yet, expose them to normal citizens after all those man-years spent living behind a rope line. The muckety-mucks would be appalled to death.

Order of Succession
One little thing nobody seems to have noticed. The most likely next President of the USA is Kevin McCarthy.
1- Diaper Joe seems to have served out his usefulness. It’s been a truly heroic effort to place into office an individual guilty of treason by acting as a bag man for a foreign power, running a grifting operation for two decades as senator and then vice president, behaving as a pedophile while on camera, and then requiring blatant electoral fraud to place in office. But the wolves are now circling around the carcass, and many are from his formerly loyal pack. He will either be forced to resign or Epsteined.
2- Vice President Kamala Harris. The most hated of the pack of Democrats who sought nomination for the Presidency in 2020. She garnered almost no support and dropped out, only to became the pet token “black” woman of ex president Obama. Totally incapable of performing even the most basic functions of the Vice Presidency. Is this the tool that the Deep State really wants to sell the disinformation they need to continue the endless war against Russia? The only unknown is whether her resignation will come within the first week of her Presidency.
3- New Speaker of the House and future President, Kevin McCarthy. Finally, a President who is pure Deep State. No more dog and pony shows with a senile old hulk prone to shaking hands with invisible dignitaries. And God forbid, no need to pass off Kamala Harris as a sentient being. With McCarthy as President we will no longer need to fear that the MIC budget will fall below a trillion dollars per year.
I wouldn’t write off Harris just yet. She gives me the impression of someone who is heavily constrained and hates her current role. I have a feeling that she could be a tractable and capable war horse, if she gets what she thinks her due is–the top job.
Harris impresses me as a person who is medicated. She also appears to be aware that her being Epsteined could forward the political agenda of the democratic party. I would describe her as deeply fearful.
Yes, something is “up” with her. She was never likeable, but she wasn’t always childish and manic, at least not to this degree.
The media is making a huge deal about Biden’s mishandling of documents. Why? They didn’t make a huge deal about other egregious and unlawful things. He’s obviously being removed.

That would explain why they pushed McCarthy through so many votes. He is now in place to take over the presidency.
But maybe they want Harris precisely because she is dumb as a rock and extremely malleable.
Like I said, we can watch what the Mighty Wurlitzer tells us to think to know what their plans are.
I can see it either way.
But if they want McCarthy they will have to move fast, because Harris will pick a new vice and that will bump him down one again.

Since learning of Kevin McCarthy’s close association with the Davos Demons I have had to actually pay attention as to why he was so persistent in his humiliating (to most) in his attempts at ascension.
This fits all-too-neatly into a made-for-TV moment every bit as pivotal as we’ve seen in the decades-long unfolding of events as witnessed since November 22 1963.
The pieces move sometimes inexorably slowly, but once the position on the board is established after so much distracting fanfare, we must ask ourselves “What have we got here, anyway?”
Now I just grabbed this at random off of DuckDuckGo, but don’t count me in for falling for Forrest Trump or ANYONE who gets to the pinnacles of power in world government these days. We can speculate all we like about their “good intentions” and their “power,” but the power of fear has got it over any altruism these individuals might express.

While we are prognosticating we shouldn’t forget that the Magic Kenyan is fully eligible to be Appointed as Vice President as of January 2003. Cackles certainly owes him a massive debt of gratitude for reaching into the cesspool of failed Presidential want-a-bees and putting her forward as the best possible guarantee against impeachment for Grifter-in-Chief Biden. If Kamala should actually ascend to the Big Chair after Biden is forced to resign or Epsteined she will certainly need a good Handler. There is plenty of precedent for such an arrangement when Cheney was placed in that position to manage Lil bush’s trip through the Ranch. Who in American politics has a more successful record of gaslighting the American public than Barry OB?
The Constitution does prohibit BO from running again for a full term as President, but who is to say that in two more years they will even need to bother with sham elections?

I love this blog and I seriously appreciate James Howard Kunstler for doing such a fine job in filling the abyss left by the selling out of the American media. He does a great job of detailing what is going on all around us and I am not aware of a single time in which he was not totally accurate. As far as what Jim hopes to see happen to correct our predicaments, I applaud the idea of hope, but frankly, I cannot see anything ever getting better,

and I will list three recently scams that signal that is it already over:
The fact that the SBF crypto money laundering scheme is blatantly being covered up and accepted by those criminal dirt bag politicians who profited from the theft and that they are laughing at the American public who knows that there is nothing that they can do about it.
The fact that the old hippies that are running America not only learned the value of large-scale peaceful protest back in the 1960’s, but have developed deceptions which they deployed during the January 6th bullshit that are now being copied successfully right now in Brazil. Imprisoning regular people for gathering in public coupled with a stupefied public that accepts this reality tells you that democracy is dead.
We all understand that those who rule over us have sold out their souls for wealth and are now controlled by those that create “wealth” out of dirt. The fact that so many regular people have not only sold out too, but have sold out their own children as well, have abandoned God and/or spiritual beliefs, and are embracing an agenda of transhumanism that will allow them to shed their humanity for enslavement in a technological realm of depravity indicates that resistance IS futile.
Where we are headed, and have already stepped across the threshold, is a world where the deranged, criminal dotards who rule shall be given total and absolute control over us all. What they do with that dominance will only be understood once the cell doors are locked behind us, and I for one do not expect the “happiness” that Klaus Schwab and Fat Boy promise us. It ain’t gonna be good.
The practice run for Jan. 6 was here in German. There was an anti-Corona protest here where the government and press set up a fake storming of the Reichstag with a small group of faux right-wingers/”Reichsbürger.”

I see plenty of hope. Not within the West itself but within the other 85% of the planet. There isn’t anything we can do but be patient and wait for the defunding of the FBI, deep state, CIA, etc. This defunding is happening now as the fiat dollar loses its credibility through the actions of the empire of lies. Once these federal agencies are defunded because those who they employ are paid with a worthless currency will simply abandon their post. Then the fear and probabilities of being rated out from the undercover agents among us will greatly be reduced. Then there will be a reckoning. When this will happen is anybody’s guess. There are many who are prepared and secretly cheering on these countries that are fighting these f*cktards. Till then there is still plenty of fun and joy to be had.

Already the USCorp, in early fall, defaulted on it’s last loan package interest payment (annual interest is now approaching the annual GDP), and the US$ is being rejected by suppliers the world over (hence, the so called ‘shortages’ and the ‘supply train disruptions’).
The BRICS+ now controls well over 65% of all world trade and growing daily. (It’s a big club and WE ain’t in it). The Saudis and other oil producers are selling oil preferentially to China et al via the Yuan which is partially gold backed (big secret to US corporate news). (Anyone still wonder why the national petro reserve was drained and is still near multi-decade lows?).
Pension funds are on the brink and will soon collapse due to the average need for a yield of ~7-8% to continue servicing their recipients (if the US allowed an internal interest rate even approaching that, the collapse would be immediate…do the math). Anyone whose net worth is based on dollar derived assets will soon be selling their blood at the nearest bank, or apples on the street, for lunch money.
We are witnessing the end of the king dollar (and, thus the american dream) and it will not be pretty, the US, if it stays united, turning into a 3rd world shithole with color TV. But, as you point out, there are positives: there will be no funds for all the bullshit alphabet agencies, or much else, for that matter.

@ Walter — I share you pessimistic (but rational) assessment that it’s too far gone to be saved now. I want to be wrong and hope that the hearings to hold multiple people accountable for multiple lies begins asap, especially the ongoing push for Covid shots. Our horrible first lady Fauxdoctor Jill along with her private patient Joe are still pushing it.
Perhaps the meeting in Switzerland is to examine their errors in the covid pandemic and work out the bugs to make the next one even more punishing.

Why, yes! The next one is slated for 2025 and I’m sure they have learned a lot from the last live exercise. And there will be far fewer useful idiots remaining by then, so they are going to have to do things a bit differently.

I get tired of W’s defeatist whining while acting like he is the only one who sees reality.
Everyone here understands the depth and breadth of the problems we face.
But we don’t need the constant argumentation and sniveling to persuade us why we really should just dig a large hole in the ground for our dead bodies to drop into.
I get tired of it too, but I am even more tired of fantasizing about how it’s all going to magically turn around and be saved when there has been zero forces of power making ANY progress against the agenda. As Uther Pendragon told Merlin, “Words are for lovers, I need a sword!” In a place where words hold more power than swords, people can be cowed into believing anything while believing nothing, and doing nothing as well as everything that they are told.
I watched a clip of Biden stumbling and mumbling over a prepared speech excusing his possession of classified documents and noted there were no FBI agents in sunglasses lurking around. He has nothing to worry about b/c this will be stonewalled and the news will cover it only in the most forgiving tones.
I am not optimistic about the committees in Congress getting information, much less indictments, for the any of the coverups. Who has been held to account for withholding Hunter’s laptop and allowing a presidential impeachment to proceed? No one.
I share Walter’s opinion mainly b/c our new Speaker of the House (with his Ukrainian flag pin), while no where near as repulsive as Pelosi (a very high bar), is a Mitch McConnell sort who’s more interested in keeping his job than doing his job.

So, like you, I am pessimistic.
Really, what we are witnessing (and experiencing) is kind of “old hat.” We are living through one of the hundreds or even thousands of collapses of civilization. I don’t think there has ever been a single instance in which this death process has been known to have been reversed. Ancient Rome managed to hang on for an extraordinarily long time, but it was just a very long, drawn out collapse.
There comes a time when you have to give up hope for the terminal cancer patient or the 90-year-old on life-support. It’s the same for civilizations in the advanced stages of senescence.
Your “hope,” in such cases, is to survive and maybe even thrive as part of the remnant who will rebuild, and that your descendants will nourish the flame of civilization through the Dark Ages.

I have many faults and I will admit that, but defeatism is not one of them and I say that because when faced with the corruption and poor leadership that tears this nation apart, I rushed into fray and fought the motherfuckers toe to toe for two decades. Yes, it was futile, but it failed and always fails because, just as DJT experienced, when you have so few behind you or besides you that fight for what is good and right, well you lose.
Sitting around bullshitting about how some other guy is going to do the dirty work accomplishes nothing. Perhaps what I am feebly trying to do is a call to arms, and I do not mean violence, I mean work! No disrespect for our host for he provides a great service and a great forum to us all and I appreciate that, and what he does for us needs to be done and he does it well. His hope for change is admirable, but we need far more people to get off their asses and their keyboards and do some real work to bring about change and correction because the assholes in DC are the biggest enemies we face,
And there are some examples of too few men to turn the tide of corruption that has engulfed DC and all the resistance they face doing their best to change it. Rand Paul and his father, Robert Kennedy, Jr. trying to educate the public about the buried risks of vaccines, Kucinich, and those are just a few. They’re up against people whose principles are flexible and campaign promises forgotten.
On CBS tonight the excuses for Biden have already begun — he was emptying out his office, grieving for his son, meeting and traveling a lot, etc so there ya go.

I do not think that many people can handle the idea that it is not going to work out well, that they are not going to win the Super Bowl or live a carefree life of thrills and pleasure. I think it is important to remember that there are 32 teams in the NFL and only one 1 wins the Super Bowl. That make 31 of them losers, doesn’t it? Yet year after year, decade after decade, all of them continue to compete, knowing that the odds are against them and most of them will lose. Yet they strive anyway and THAT is the lesson that the general public seems so unable to understand. It’s not about winning, it’s about fighting.
Perhaps it’s not a matter of dropping dead bodies in a hole, but of setting off to make another future apart from the sinking ship.

I was thinking about the WEF meeting the other day. What I thought about was how they have openly declared themselves a threat to our sovereignty.

I saw somebody’s talk on social media, where they mentioned that there are really only about 2,000 people who are causing all the trouble.

The “Remainers” crowd in Britain has shown us that there are many people who are eager to submit themselves to rule from afar by untouchable, unelected bureaucrats. I’ve talked to some of these, and their ignorance is outright astounding. And there’s a theme running through our experiences of recent years. I’m sure this has always been the case to some extent, but it’s been perfected and globalized in recent years. The use of proxies will end too as more and more (of what used to be illegal) activities are done openly with no fear of accountability.

The IRS has paused that provision. That leads me to believe the IRS is now in defiance of the law.

Although I no longer work in hospitals, I still know many doctors and nurses that do, and they are saying that the hospitals are filling with people who are having deep venous thromboses (blood clots), heart attacks (blood clots), and pulmonary embolisms (blood clots), as well as all sorts of unusual infections that are unexpected in their age group. Although exceptions exist (the non vaccinated), most (the vaccinated) cannot see the pattern, or choose not to. JHK once said something to the effect of, ‘prior investment is a major cause of psychosis,’ or something similar. The doctors and nurses who fail to see the pattern, and clear and obvious cause, are clearly suffering from a type of psychosis that is circumscribed to this one situation; thus, very interesting from a neuroscience viewpoint. This is a generational thing. In generations past, it was assumed by many people that living a ‘good life’ was in fact the Purpose of Life. Be a good family man or woman and raise kids the ‘right way’ and have some positive pride in yourselves.
Something changed after the 1960s. Younger people began to question the values of the past. Many of them flat out rejected those legacy values and just started to live for themselves and ‘do their own thing’. And then those young people had kids of their own who started to venture even further away from those legacy values.
And now today we live with the Pandemic of Wokeism. This is a phony kind of false projection of self-superiority over others with a dose of sickly self-satisfaction. This takes one even further away from intending to live a good life. For the Woke, life is all about criticizing and demeaning other people rather than actually trying to work on and live a purposeful life yourself.
As for your question… I have known a precious few who truly are Angels walking upon the Earth. I have also known a great number of people who just sleepwalk through Life without thinking too much about what they are doing. And I have also known a solid group of people who are just flat-out assholes.
Each of us gets to decide what ‘Living a Good Life’ even means. We come to our own definitions and then we measure ourselves and others against that standard.
A good person today will know that many people are st ill trying and doing the best they can under the current very tryingcircumstances. And they will spend more time trying to actually be a better person themselves then trying to judge and tear down others.

The problem I see with “woke” communities is that they will be the last to figure this out. After our military is defeated and the resources to support it are gone, we won’t be able to hold a gun to the heads of people everywhere outside our borders so we can get cheap motor fuels to waste. Schools ban cell phones which means they lock them up during class hours. This includes the popular pesantren, Islamic boarding schools. But after hours the kids are back on their devices.
So even with discounts and reasonably cheap data packets, how can the millions of working-class citizens scrounging to pay for food, ciggies, fuel for a wobbly motorbike and electricity (the other main cash drains) afford their Telkom or Indosat or XL?
That is not the point: it is clearly a case of addiction. I see it around me all the time. Kids sidle up to my place in the hills to mooch off my wi-fi. Some loiter outdoors but the more familiar neighbors plop themselves inside and glue faces to tiny screens, for hours. Little or no conversation or socializing, just staring and the occasional chuckle.
Meanwhile, Grandpa, hunting down wild grasses to feed the goats, wouldn’t know to operate a cell phone if you took him to MIT; dad is out in the fields hoeing the sweet potatoes or corn plants (barely able to figure out his own device) in the blazing sunshine, while those 25 and under are obsessed with the usual content.
This phenomenon is undoubtedly being repeated all across the third world (although Indonesia has traditionally been far ahead of everyone else, as the military dictatorship used the telco networks to monitor and control the populace, all the way from the pioneer Palapa satellite in 1970).
It’s a generation of mutants, and I do not foresee these kids out planting the rice seedlings in the hot sun anytime soon. Neverlesless, that may be all that is facing them, before long. I’ll probably be knocking elbows with them.

We were out to eat with Peter last night and to my complete surprise Bo did not even remove her phone from her handbag. Normally she would have taken pictures of our food and texted them to the rest of the family. No event can go undocumented.
I made a point to praise her for this brief non-use of her phone.

I’m pretty sure that if I strolled down to the public library and perused newspaper reports just from Tennesssee , and just the cases they bothered to report , in the two years prior to Covid ,

I used to do triage in the ER, and part of it was to ask the chief complaint of the person presenting.
Omigod, sometimes I could barely keep a straight face. The best part was writing it all down verbatim, so that future researchers could have a good laugh as well.
Earlier this year I got my arm ripped open by a pit bull – and it was my own fault. After wrapping my arm in bloody towels, my next door neighbor drove me to the ER. I was in line for a few minutes and the person ahead of me seemed to be in fine shape and it made little sense to me why he was there. When I stepped up next I didn’t say a word but just pulled the bloody towels aside and showed the lady behind the glass window what the inside of my arm looked like. I was a bit in shock and a bit unsteady, but together enough to wait a few minutes in line. After she saw my arm a minute later a door opened ten feet away and they told me to step inside. They put me in treatment right away, I got attention before everybody else, maybe it was because I had an actual emergency.
Right. Actual emergencies are not funny. But probably over half of ER visits are not in any way emergencies.
And that is being generous.
SSL, I consider supermarkets a legitimate and insightful tourist destination in every country I visit.
I also strongly recommend to any first-time visitor to the USA that he / she spend time touring an Albertson’s or other big grocery stores. The opulence is stunning: thirty kinds of beer, cheese from a dozen countries, a bakery with fresh, hot products.
Conversely, I rememver visits to rather smaller and plainer grocery stores in Japan and Sweden, both of which featured eye-popping prices for just about everything, no emphasis on “jumbo, family-size” items and in the case of Sweden, miserable-looking fresh vegetables that looked as though they’d arrived from Italy by donkey-cart.
This was, as I recall, in August, as I was visiting the 400-year-old Husqvarna factory, for a series of articles for Motorcycle Dealer News. That got halted when the FBI went by their offices, hunting for me
So there was no reason for them not to have ripe, crisp fresh veggies on sale.
