Message found in fortune cookie from Panda Take-out reminds us: “The dildo of consequence is seldom lubricated.” Please apply this ancient wisdom to “Joe Biden’s” sabotage of the Nord Stream 1 and 2 natgas pipelines. Secretary of State Antony Blinken spun the deed as a “tremendous opportunity” to reduce fuel use in Euroland, and shift its prior dependence on affordable Russian energy to ruinously-priced American liquid natural gas (LNG) — a supposed boon to US producers. Lucky us and them!

Let’s get a few technical matters straight about natgas. Gas pipelines allow for cheap gas, without costly intervening shipping procedures. Flows are continuous from producer to customer. LNG requires compression of the gas at super-cold temperatures and costly-to-build LNG tanker ships to keep that gas cold and compressed in transit. Each tanker can carry only so-much gas and the flow is not continuous. At each end of the energy-losing journey there is a costly LNG terminal to load and unload the gas. Bottom line: Euroland customers can’t afford US LNG, though for now they’ll be getting it good and hard to struggle through the first winter of a permanent depression that will feel more like the forecourt of a new dark age. Also bear in mind that American shale gas is a finite resource; that we need plenty of it ourselves; and that the earliest-developed US shale gas fields are crapping out one-by-one.

Secretary Blinken pretends that Europe’s deadly predicament will segue crisply into a new “green renewable” disposition of things as well as a stable-and-balanced new cold war between US-led NATO and Russia, like the 1950s. Secretary Blinken is, of course, completely insane. Germany’s industry will now collapse, the Euro currency will collapse with it, and the exchange rate with the dollars Euroland needs to buy in order to purchase US LNG will bankrupt them further. It will also probably blow up the European Union, which is chiefly a trade scaffold. With industrial production sinking, trade sinks too, and the flimsy cooperative arrangements between nations turn into a desperate competition as each nation of Euroland struggles to stay alive.

Let’s not forget the reason that “Joe Biden” blew up the Nord Streams: to foreclose any chance of Germany wriggling out of US sanctions against Russia. Just prior to the Nord Stream strike, protests were rising in several German cities, the common folk already chafing under the Russian gas delivery shut-down and soaring price of desperately-needed gas. If the US stood by while Germany made a separate peace with Russia, how would that affect the NATO countries’ commitment to the US-provoked conflict between Ukraine and Russia? How much cash support would Euroland continue to dish out to Mr. Zelenskyy’s sketchy money-laundering operation?

What no government official can acknowledge — even among the Euroland victim nations of this awesome stupidity — is that the US demolition of the Nord Streams was an act-of-war against our own allies. By the way, the blogger who styles himself as “Monkey Werx,” notable for tracking the world-wide military flight movements, presents a comprehensive play-by-play of just exactly how the mission was accomplished. I’ll summarize but you can read his full report (click here) for yourself.

MW reports that overnight on the 26th of September, a Navy P8 Poseidon submarine-hunter jet flew out of the US to the Baltic. It did not land in the UK to refuel — thus avoiding any tracking complications — but rather rendezvoused over Grudziadz, Poland, with a US mid-air refueling plane, which it hooked up with for more than an hour. The P8 was equipped with Mk54 air-launched torpedoes. After un-docking from the refueler, the P8 followed a route west along the Nord Stream pipelines, descended to bomb-run altitude, and dropped its weapons. Kaboom. Then, fully refueled, the P8 flew directly back to the USA. Days later, when confronted at the UN by Russia with a yes-or-no question as to US responsibility for the Nord Stream caper, the US representatives refused to answer one way or another. Cute.

So, the questions loom: How many more days before Germany and the rest of Euroland begin to apprehend how they have been hosed by America into an economic collapse scenario? (How many days before a team of competent professionals hunts down Klaus Schwab and his colleagues somewhere in Switzerland?) When will the Eurofolk turn on their idiot government leaders and flush them out of office? When will all (except for psychotic Poland) bail out of the USA’s Ukraine crusade? I will tell you: this will all begin pretty darn soon. And if so, that will be the end of the NATO alliance.

Meanwhile, the US-led propaganda campaign has Russia utterly on-the-ropes against a raging and triumphant Ukraine army. Nothing could be further from the truth. Russia made a few tactical retreats the past month in preparation for a final systematic and methodical mopping-up of the remaining Ukraine army. Russia is bringing in Iskander hypersonic missiles, not necessarily nuclear-armed, and will assemble Russian army regulars to replace the mash-up of Donbas militia volunteers who have borne the brunt on the thinly defended line leading to the much talked-about tactical retreat around the Kharkov-Izium-Lyman front. The Russian negotiation table is open for business. Failing to report to it, Ukraine will have to decide what sort of rump state it will become — a merely half-assed agricultural backwater or a fully ass-blown-off failed state.

Meanwhile, Western Europe descends into the cold and dark, with the USA not far behind. What’s up next here in Homeyland? Try a trucking fuel crisis. Kerosene is becoming scarce — there’s none, for instance, at the Hudson Valley’s Albany storage facility. The winter trucking fuel mix is 70-percent diesel and 30-percent kerosene, which is added to lighten the fuel and keep it flowing under freezing weather conditions. This shortage suggests a supply-line collapse for just about everything, but especially food. Doesn’t sound too peachy for Christmastime. “Joe Biden” and Company are destroying the USA at just about every level. Thirty-five days to the midterm election. So, let’s send a few more billion dollars to the sucking chest wound that is Ukraine.

It has been reported that a Russian nuclear military train has been seen engaged in movement, proving that Putting is using this as a warning to prepare for possible escalation in the war on the Ukraine. Putin is not joking, he will use the nuclear option when he is good and ready. The only issue is that our ending will not have a happy one like in the slapstick comedy of the Cold War days “Spies Like Us” starring Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd.

The RVSN is a branch of Russia’s armed forces that constitutes a cornerstone of the nation’s nuclear defense and deterrence program, which is the largest and most advanced in the world. (So that that America!) It is made up of dozed of missile regiments who together control thousands of nuclear capable weapons, ICBMs, and are responsible for the maintenance and protection of their launch centers.

“We’re in a situation in which superiority in resources and conventional weaponry is on the wide of the West,” said Vasily Kashin, a military and political analyst at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow. “But Russia’s power is based on its nuclear arsenal.” (So again, take that America!)

And the source that I heard that from also reported that Dopey Joe warned Taiwanese businessmen to get their liquid assets off the island ASAP. The source went on to claim that China is going to move shortly, and that the US is going to put up a little fake resistance but then back off, so goodbye Tiawan.

Whether any of this is true or not really does not matter as much as the fact that it is out there being said. n the end we will find out what is true, but if my military training had any degree of value, it taught me that the time to take is when those than are supposed to be able to stop you are (brain) dead at the wheel. The only way we could have a weaker leadership would be if we had none at all.

      • MaryQueen October 3, 2022 at 10:21 am #

Maybe none at all would have been better, given the absolute insanity of what’s in the driver’s seat, now!

Kamala doesn’t even know which Korea is on our side (judging by her recent speech). Can you imagine her as “leader of the free world”? LOL or KOL – kackle out loud like a happy chicken.

          • Walter B October 3, 2022 at 12:09 pm #

Au contraire mon ami, Kamala was correct in stating that North Korea was her (and Dopey Joe’s) ally. Amazing how honest they are being.

          • Beryl of Oyl October 3, 2022 at 1:00 pm #

But does Kamala know what “ally” means? I doubt it.

          • Walter B October 3, 2022 at 2:45 pm #

Can’t argue that. I doubt if she knows what anything means.

          My thoughts, exactly.

And here I was so horrified by the arrogant lawlessness of the Bush administrations. Those people were pikers compared to the Biden gang. I’d rather have no leadership at all, compared to this.

There’s only one political party in America. Donkeys and elephants stage elections and take turns at the helm.

Did anyone ever imagine we would prefer Hillary Clinton over Beaujangles Biden and the inebriated Kalifornia Kamala? WOW

I, for one would rather have the lying Arkansas crook than the the aforementioned pair of low hanging raspberries.

Seriously, Kunsters last paragraph is frightening… Ive been around a long time, been worried about world politics once or twice, but I think we’re at the brink of catastrophic consequences because of the disrespect of this administration by the rest of the world.
          I hope I’m wrong.

Putin is an ex-spook so I trust him about as far as I can throw him, but that said he has been reserved and disciplined and remarkably consistent as regards the SMO in Ukraine. If Putin is concerned about anything at this particular moment in time, it’s a NATO attack on the 4 recently annexed lands in Ukraine. He has made clear that (a) these are now Russian soil and (b) he will defend them. The insane people are on our side. They will attack and he will defend. I have no doubt. The insane people in the State Department know this too. They’re begging for it. Why, I do not know. If I’m a Euro leader, I’m getting off this sinking ship pronto because the longer I stay in the more likely it becomes that the gallows is my final destination.

      • Beryl of Oyl October 3, 2022 at 10:57 am #

I was just thinking about Putin’s trustworthiness, in relation to his speech that hit all the right notes with people like me.

My first thoughts were, “well he would know just what he needed to say, wouldn’t he?”

Then I thought of one way we could know that he was actually sincere in holding the line against Western decadence.

Way back in 2014, when known decadent Westerner Matt Lauer was covering the Sochi Olympics, his network, NBC, was pulling out all the stops in hammering Putin over his “anti-gay proselytizing” law.

Matt (who was conducting himself as the filthy pig that he is in Sochi), was trying to make it seem as if Putin was calling for all gays to be rounded up and sent to the Gulag, when Putin himself said it was about protecting children.

We in America are now fighting this battle against the “trans” movement here.

Putin was smart, he knew what was going on way back then. He means this.

        • Rowdypiglet October 3, 2022 at 12:00 pm #

We’d be foolish not to take him at his word. He may not be the nicest adult in the world, but he is an adult. He’s not playing a stupid game with stupid prizes, he’s telling us bluntly what he intends to do. We don’t have any reason at all not to believe him.

        • Paula D October 3, 2022 at 12:03 pm #

Yeah, Putin spoke to all of us who are disgusted by our current ruling overlords and their repulsive perversions.

Not hard to figure out how to reach us, for sure. No normal human being could look at the trans agenda and think “That seems fine”.
Add the “white people are born irredeemably evil” narrative they push and Russia has itself quite a lot of support.

        • Jarek October 3, 2022 at 12:30 pm #

Rowdy: The etymology of nice is “fool”. Lookitup.

Do you think we took this continent by being “nice”? Yes, we’re back to all that. The basics. The stuff few modern people can deal with.

        • kendar667 October 3, 2022 at 6:50 pm #

It took a while for me to figure out what Putin was saying with the stated goal of de-Nazification for Ukraine, and he wasn’t talking about the Azov Battalion or the other ridiculous “Neo-Nazis” in the area, he was referring to actual Nazi’s, like original gangster stuff. Once I realized what (and who) he was really talking about the entire picture became clear and it literally altered my view of the area and of the conflict. As you alluded to, Putin has found a way to communicate with us directly, and he does it quite frequently. Some would call it propaganda but I see enough of that on a daily basis to recognize it.

            Kendar667

What I cannot understand with these americans is how come that someone like president Bush Sn who was at one time a head of the CIA or FBI or whatever “spook” org, but that never bothered them. Russian President, on the other hand, was ONLY an officer in the KGB, ok, he was a Colonel in Intelligence but he never was the head of that organisation. WHY are we seeing such double standards? “Ooh, we cannot trust him because he was in the KGB!” Are you people normal? Or those double standard’s are getting in the way much?
What most of you cannot comprehend (brainwashing at work) is that you, americans and Russia have ONE COMMON ENEMY, that has been trying to destroy both countries, with Russia througout it’s many centuries; and briefly succeded in the Russia’s terrible 90s, until Vladimir Putin came on the scene and threw this satanic garbage out of Russia. But with you they have totally succeded, now you are just a dried out husk of a country. This parasite has been feasting on you for quite a while. This is the result.
Meantime brainwashing you to HATE Russia because they hate it. As I said before, they have TOTAL control of all your mass media and your so-called education. Not to mention all of your political establishment. And your banking. And your military, And your foreign policy. And your very lives. What did you expect? You have allowed for all that to happen to you.
Now this Cabal (mostly members of the tribe) that totally controls your country is driving this world to Armaggedon – something I am trying to convey to you, americans and to get you to stop your parochial mental affliction and REALISE as to what mortal danger we are all in, all of us in this World! Because of the US of fucking A, and you are allowing it to happen! By sitting there and bitching about that party or this party and NOT SEEING the bigger picture. Why is that?
Or you rather prefer to deal with something that is familiar and does not require much thinking about? Something easy.
Let me explain something to those of you who still do not fully understand what is happenning. Here is a brief scenario:
NATO decides to attack Russia’s newly returned territory, which is what used to be former eastern Ukraine. Well, yes, actually it has always been Russia’s territory that simply has been returned back to Russia, by people’s referendum in these regions. They overwhelmingly voted to go back home! Russia has now got over 5 million people added to Russian population and more that 100 000 sq km. of the most productive land. As for the West’s “acknowledgement” of the fact, here Russia does not give a fuck!
So, we have an attack launched on Russia, a NATO missiles flying to strike Russia’s territory and it’s people, be it in the former Ukraine or targeting Moskva or St Petersburg or even say, Kaliningrad – guess what will be the response?
I will briefly outline it for you.
For a start Russia has an Iron Dome over all it’s territories, in the form of S-400, S-500 and now even S-550. Very efficient at stopping practically everything. West does not have that. Russia has hypersonic missiles that can fly with nine times (or more) faster than a speed of sound (that’s why it’s called hypersonic) and those are also manuvarable at such mind-bogling speeds. In other word -unstoppable. And can be nuclear armed. West does not have that. Russia, in it’s military cababilities is GENERATIONS ahead of the West, including USA, which in comparisson is now a third rate. I know.. you were led to believe something different.. Sorry to dissapoint and probably cause a butt-hurt. Most of the eye-watering military US budgets usually disappear in some very, very deep pockets! You have not much to show for it.
Do you really want to take on country like that? This is not some “shithole” in Middle East or Asia – this is the country that can bury you. And here how it will happen.
The response to the NATO attack WILL BE nuclear. Russian President has spelled that out loud and clear, and not just once. It is actually written in Russian nuclear doctrine.
They have no way of knowing what the missiles that have been launched by NATO are carrying, whether it’s a conventional or a nuclear armed. The assumption will be it’s nuclear, hence will be the immediate response in kind. Russian hypersonic missiles will reach US mainland in just a few short minutes. First to go will be your power infrastructure, followed by communications, military bases, military satelites AND the decision centers, that had ordered the strike on RUSSIA. Hiding in their underground bunkers will not save them. They will be got at. After that Russia will pause and see what will be the imbecils (those that survived) next step. If all out attack is launched on Russia, this is where you people will kiss your arses goodbye. USA will be wiped off the face of the planet. I will ask you again – do you want to take Russia on? I wouldn’t advise that .What you people really need to do is get together with Russia and fight this common enemy shoulder to shoulder, TOGETHER. You cannot do it on your own, Russia is your best ally. President Putin has just declared war on them – he is going for them. Ukraine is JUST THE START! Read his speech of few days ago, on 30th of September. It’s epic. He called them out.
The madmen that infested your so-called establishment are under bizzare delusion that they are still dealing here with Russia as they knew in the 90s! Broken-up and on it’s knees. Guess what? It’s back to being a superpower once again and this time a truly mighty one. This deranged neocon mentality is the REASON we are on the brink of this armaggedon. Get rid of these delusional imbecilic remnants that well had passed their sell by date – they have driven you to the abyss. You are now on the edge of the cliff, staring down.. Wake the fuck UP! We don’t have much time left. DO something if you do not want to perish. Surely, most of you have families, children, grandchildren – don’t you want them to have a much brighter future? Or have you given up? I hope not. Lots of you are better than that. Those that still have functioning brains and can see things clearly. Get organised and refuse to support this parasitic evil ON EVERY LEVEL!
THEY have to die. Not you.

          • kendar667 October 4, 2022 at 9:02 am #

            @Katerina,

What you are seeing in the US, first with the Tea Party movement, and then morphing into MAGA is essentially the growth of a nationalist movement and the rejection of the uniparty globalists, AKA the Satanic Cabal. A certain number of us are waking up and rejecting the gaslighting, but it has been a slow organic process over many years. Think of this like the Matrix where everyone’s entire existence and reality has been captured and managed by the psychos (thanks CIA!) and it takes a certain amount of critical thinking and internal reflection to break through the insanity. Admittedly, as the heat has been turned up and the mask comes off, it is easier to see things for what they are, so the movement is gaining speed, but also it appears that the cabal is running out of time and accelerating plans, so this is a fight to the finish line.

With so many lies that have been told in the textbooks growing up and all throughout the media 24X7 and the Big Tech censorship, I’m actually not sure which way this will go. It may be that the USA is too far gone and will need some help to break free. Hopefully it won’t come down to the missiles flying but if we can’t get our shit together soon, that may be what happens. We need to figure out who our friends and enemies are quickly before it’s all turned to ash.

Kat: You forgot about the horror of Communism. Who funded it? Or do you think workers with hammers and farmers with pitchforks overthrew the Czar?

It was funded by the Capitalists. Capitalism/Communism is one system, heads and tails. Communism breaks traditional systems and prepares the ground for the eventual triumph of Capitalism. China was proceeding nicely but they have too much racial and national pride and ended up as National Socialists instead. Russia has ended up as a Fascist state. Just a simple statement of fact. I mean it in its real and original sense, not as a pejorative.

East Asians always tend to produce powerful, very centralized states, with far less individuality allowed to be expressed. Were they any different under Confucianism or Capitalism? Our National Socialism would be different than theirs.

You have just confirmed to me that there are Americans that are totally switched on, aware, knowledgeable and astute. Thank you.

Commenting on your last sentence – USA does not have any friends, what it has is vassals, which are so very cutely called “allies”. In reality, these “allies” are to follow dictat and toe the line. Euromorons are now discovering hard way what it is to be an american ally; in the words of Henry Kissinger – “to be it’s enemy is dangerous, to be it’s friend is fatal”.
But it has plenty of enemies. Most americans have no idea just how much their USA is hated and despised around the world. The murderous criminality combined with rapacious greed tends to do that. And this has been displayed to the world over the last few decades, with millions killed, maimed, many more displaced as their homes, villages, towns and cities are raised to the ground. Serbia, Afganistan, Libya, Iraq, Syria.. this is just in the last couple of decades. This is what they themselves like to call ” american democracy”! Someone has to stop this madness and this satanic evil from inflicting any more ugliness and pain on this our beautiful planet.
Well, new sheriff is in town..

Remember the ‘F-16 Killed an F-35’ Report Years Ago? It Was Wrong.
Know this: The F-35 stealth fighter jet has superior technology that makes it highly unlikely it will ever be involved in a dogfight.

            by Kris Osborn
More than five years ago, reports emerged citing Edwards Air Force Base Tests results of experiments in which F-16 Fighting Falcons were placed in air-to-air combat against F-35 stealth jets to assess the ability of a fifth-generation fighter jet dogfight.
Various news reports said results showed an F-16 jet actually “out-performed” an F-35 in a dogfight. The reports inspired a large amount of discussion about the F-35 stealth fighter jet. However, key contextual elements of the discussion were often excluded in these reports. An Air Force pilot who was there at the time of the dogfight says that despite the results, the F-35 fighter jet would not be out-performed by an F-16 Fighting Falcon. After all, an F-35 jet can dogfight but it might not need to very often given the range, accuracy and fidelity of its sensors and onboard computer processing system.

The F-16 vs. F-35 Narrative Is Wrong: We Have Proof

“I was at Edwards Air Force Base when the test pilots were there and they were writing that original report. It’s been the narrative ever since and I want to say a few things about that. . . . First of all, it should be noted the aircraft (F-35) was in its infancy stages and we were still just trying to learn how to fly the airplane,” Chris “Worm” Spinelli, an F-35 test pilot for Lockheed Martin, told the National Interest. “The entire CLAW [Flight Control Laws] hadn’t been delivered yet so the guys hadn’t really developed tactics, techniques, and procedures, etc. So to say that the F-35 can’t Basic Flight Maneuver [a term for dogfight], I think, is a gross overstatement. Honestly, you know I think it would be quite eye-opening to see an F-35 and an F-16 in a BFM engagement, depending on how it was managed. Certainly, the F-35 has some advantages that the F-16 does not, particularly in its helmet integration, along with its advanced weapons, which are a lot more beneficial in platforms like the F-22 or F-35.”

While the F-35 fighter jet certainly can dogfight, a fact that is quite well known, there is much to be said about its sensor suite and computing technology. This technology may make it highly unlikely that an F-35 will be involved in a dogfight. It may be much more likely that an F-35 jet will kill enemies without being seen.

“From my perspective, having the sensor suite that we have, having sensor fusion and MADL ( F-35s Multifunction Advanced Datalink) all of those potential engagements should be avoided before we ever even get within visual range, let alone actually have to dogfight in the air, whatever the opponent is,” Monessa “Siren” Balzhiser, an F-35 production and training pilot for Lockheed Martin, told the National Interest. “The tactical scenario, more often than not, is going to be solved much further out, which is going to give us the advantage.”

The Details Paint a Completely Different Picture

I read this Air Force test report back in 2015. At the time, I received an interesting and significant response to the issue from the Pentagon’s F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO). In 2015, the JPO welcomed the report and the assessment but wanted to make certain key facts about the circumstances available as they weighed heavily upon the results. In a statement to me in 2015, the JPO said the reports on the F-35 vs. F-16 squareoff left out many crucial facts.

“The media report on the F-35 and F-16 flight does not tell the entire story,” the F-35 JPO office said in a written statement. “The F-35 involved was AF-2, which is an F-35 designed for flight sciences testing, or flying qualities, of the aircraft. It is not equipped with a number of items that make today’s production F-35s 5th Generation fighters.”

The JPO statement explained that the AF-2 test aircraft did not have the mission systems software designed to utilize the aircraft’s next-generation sensors. The F-35 program office also said the AF-2 test aircraft was not equipped with the F-35 jet’s special stealth coating, which was designed to make the aircraft invisible to enemy radar. The statement also noted that the AF-2 was “not equipped with the weapons or software that allow the F-35 pilot to turn, aim a weapon with the helmet, and fire at an enemy without having to point the airplane at its target.”

Finally, the F-35 program office said simulated combat scenarios have shown that four F-35 jets have won encounters when pitted against a four-ship of F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft.

“The F-35s won each of those encounters because of its sensors, weapons, and stealth technology,” the statement said.

            F-35 Keeps Getting Better

What is significant about these 2015 statements from the JPO is that they were from six years ago. The F-35 jet has continued to evolve substantially since that time, which only reinforces the point that the office was trying to make.

Years after these dogfight questions surfaced, F-35 pilots like Tony “Brick” Wilson who have flown fourth and fifth-generation jets for years, reflected in great detail upon how an F-35 stealth fighter jet compares with an F-16 Fighting Falcon and F/A-18 Hornet when it comes to aerial combat. Wilson is a former F/A-18 pilot and current Chief of Fighter Flight Operations for Lockheed Martin with roots in the F/A-18 community.

“[The F/A-18] has excellent high airway maneuvering capability,” Wilson explained. “So one of the things that we would always try to achieve was to force the fighter jet to go in the direction that would be advantageous. . . . By comparison, the F-16 is a great ‘weight fighter.’ It has a lot of high thrust for the weight. Imagine going around a racetrack, except in this case, you want to come around the racetrack faster so you can get behind the other racer and shoot them.”

“What the F-35 brings to the pilot is actually a combination of both,” Wilson added. “It has fantastic high airway capability but doesn’t sacrifice thrust to weight. The thrust-to-weight ratio that I get out of the F-35 is fantastic. So now I have multiple options when I find myself in a dogfight situation depending on what the threat is that I’m dealing with. I can choose which fight is going to best suit me against that opponent.”

What a line of crap! Increasing the cost of everything so that consumers stop consuming because they can no longer afford to consume is going to force prices to drop? Duh, how about they will have to go up even further in order to maintain the bottom-line corporate profit margins due to decreased sales? There may be an argument in that direction if there was an over-supply of consumables to be gotten rid of, but in a supply shortage scenario, you know, like the one we are in now, well that’s simply bullshit! • Walter B October 3, 2022 at 10:08 am #

He is not insane if he is actually trying to destroy America and all of us with it. We all know that there are many people in the world that want to destroy America and have ever since 1776. Actually ef, in my day the Academy DID emphasize the spiritual world and faith. It was very important when sending young men, and now young women as well, to their deaths to stress that there is an eternal reward. For proof go to You Tube and watch the Cadet Glee Club perform “Mansions of the Lord”. it is quite stirring.

          • Jarek October 3, 2022 at 12:37 pm #

Sending young woman to fight was a capitulation to the dark forces – just like letting Indians assume the title of “Native Americans”.

Their primary oil and gas development is on the north shore, lots and lots of reserves. Exxon was helping them develop this prior to Trump.

Psychopathy Is a form of mental illness, or so I heard. Anyway, all of the psychopaths’ have finally floated to the top of the food chain, roughly 4% of the population, and Im guessing that all government leaders worldwide is about 4%. Hmmmm.

        • Woodchuck October 3, 2022 at 11:44 am #

Yes, that’s precisely why democracies and republics don’t last very long. In a republic the levers of government are sitting out there in the open and accessible to anyone getting enough votes. The people who wish access to power more than any other group in society are the psychopaths. They more than anyone else wish and dream about being in postitions of power. And they are the very people who should NOT have power. Skills needed to succeed in politics have little to do with the skills needed to be a statesman.

In a real monarchy, the issue isn’t politics but statesmanship. That’s a different craft. Your role as king is something dumped in your lap, you weren’t elected into it. And your family and mentors will all tell you that it’s your duty to be a monarch, it’s not a choice. It’s a role you are trained at and are expected to perform. If you run away from the job because you are interested in another vocation and just don’t want to be king, you’ll go down in history as a slacker and a person of poor character that couldn’t fulfill his duties. There was a lot of downside to being a royal. You didn’t get to choose your spouse, and your marriage had to be approved by your family. If you were a prince, your childhood would involve little childhood play and a lot of studying and military training.

Since your family’s history was also the history of your nation, you’d be very well schooled in your family’s bloodline and the history and issues behind the monarchs that came before you. You’d learn about the great things your ancestors did along with all the mistakes they made. Military training isn’t much fun. Princes were often expected to be in leadership roles on battlefields. If a young royal male simply couldn’t take military life he’d instead be steered into the Church where he had a good chance of becoming an bishop etc.

I certainly could never have made it as a member of any royal family. You are living in a goldfish bowl, and when you walk around in that big palace, there will be hundreds of paintings on the walls of your illustrious ancestors. In a way, their eyes will be following you as you walk through the rooms and corridors, judging you from the grave just like in a horror movie. You are in a goldfish bowl and being watched and measured. Some of those paintings might include a famous past king in the bloodline, standing victorious on a battle field and having saved the day once again. If the nation failed and was invaded, that might be the end of your monarchy and suffering for everyone in the defeated kingdom.

Being a real monarch (the Windsors are fakes) isn’t the cushy and comfy job everyone thinks it is. It’s probably such an unpleasant and annoying lifestyle that few would deliberately choose to be a king – instead it’s something one is called to do. If you wish to start your own monarchy, then being a very successful warlord will be the first step. In a democracy or a republic, way too often the first step towards occupying a position of power is a step taken by a psychopath who cannot tell the truth and is there in the same way moths are attracted to candle flames. The psychopath isn’t there to make the nation better, he/she is there for purely personal reasons and has no long term goals. In a monarchy, a king owns his nation and is responsible for it, including the nation’s future. An elected psychopath is only renting the nation because the system in place doesn’t involve ownership. Leasing it for a while is the only option. So of course the primary activity going on in an old republic will be a looting operation. People will be trying to get as much for themselves before the entire edifice comes crashing down.

These things happen over and over in history with republics and democracies because they have no psychopath filters in place as a monarchy would. With nofilters in place, the engine of government eventually blows up and throws a rod.

It’s insane to want to kill people for fun and profit.

The powers that be have had myriad opportunities – ENDLESS opportunities – to curb population without any violent means being employed, if overpopulation and dwindling resources were actually the issue.

One example: The mass formation and mind-control techniques they’ve been using for decades through TV and media in order to get us where we are now, with most people living in The Truman Show and (nearly) blissfully unaware of actual reality. If these leaders were benevolent, why not brainwash people to be responsible about reproducing? Why not introduce the reality that peak oil won’t last forever and introduce REAL options? Instead of pushing more SUVs, why not high speed rail? Instead of pushing lifestyles of excess, why not have made it fun and popular to live at one with the land around you, and adopt personal responsibility? Learn to farm? Work as a community? Why not push the populace, with all of that mind-controlling apparatus at their fingertips, to move people toward self-sustainability?

None of that was done. Instead, they spent 100 years pushing drugs on us and tantalizing us with shiny things in order to distract. It was orchestrated one way when it just as easily could have been done another way. Because this is about power and greed, not the betterment of humanity.

They want a transhumanist techno-feudal society using humans as nothing more than farm animals. Psychotic.

And certainly not to your God, to your culture, to justice, or to the plain truth of things (objective reality).

They started to do it during the 70s, but then the insane clown assholes took over in the 80s.

They doubled the oil usage and opened the borders. They changed to farm bill to favor agribusiness over family farms and started the insanity of building McMansions for speculation on farm lands, while we saw homeless people for the first time on American streets.

They did the exact opposite of what they should have done.
          And now we are here.

          • Paula D October 3, 2022 at 1:08 pm #

They also did away with banking laws and responsibility.

They allowed speculators to buy solvent businesses that didn’t want to be sold, with hostile takeovers, and then to strip them of their assets and drive them into bankruptcy.

They sent a lot of industrial production offshore, and the government encouraged it instead of outlawing it.

They stripped, raped and looted the country, along with other countries in the world.

But now Russia is leading the opposition to the insane clown assholes and you’d better bet that they will succeed, because the US has a body count in the tens of millions and those people have families.

        • Anthea October 4, 2022 at 4:50 am #

          @ MaryQueen:

There are endless examples of the socially destructive use of a media that could just as well have been used to shape society constructively.

Besides a zillion phony “movements” that have made their pretended beneficiaries far worse off than they were before, we have bad music, bad art, bad literature, and bad theatrical productions (movies). Blacks, for example, were FAR better off in 1955 than they are today.

Of course, most of the shaping of society along negative lines has been economic: the destruction of the small farmer and the small businessman–thus largely foreclosing on any possibility of economic independence (which was the whole idea).

Left entirely alone, without the creation of economic obstacles and the promotion of mostly idiotic “social movements” (which are not “movements” at all), people will build wholesome cultures and communitites. E.g., compare the one-room schoolhouse of 1955 with today’s schools, where a large percentage of kids graduate illiterate and innumerate, and there are trannies in the girls’ locker rooms and restrooms.

Of course, I do have to say that I remember 1955, and it had its downside–but even its downside was the result of prior government/media meddling in cultures and economies. The government was already well on its way to destroying the small farmer, the music was what was on the radio, and the small-town class structure was almost feudal.

I would agree that the “leaders” of the world are motivated to control the distribution for remaining resources, and that the Euros are first in line to take a step down in living standards.

I would disagree that we in the USA are “sitting pretty”, in that we’ve had a long and comfortable run with the world’s problems at arms length. Not since WW2 has the average American Joe had to make much of a sacrifice. But it doesn’t come down to ready access to remaining energy and food – it comes down to whether or not we’ll be permitted to access it.

Now the USA is square in the cross-hairs for being the root cause of the start of the Long Emergency, and we also have a standard of living that has further to drop than most other countries. With the rest of the world hating us, and our “leaders” included in that group as well, it’s quite plausible the USA see more turmoil than average in the years ahead.

        Malthuss, Walter

Jim Rickards opines that there will be no immediate hyperinflation, but rather, recession, depression, and maybe a bit of deflation.

Says the trillions of dollars conjured into existence remains in the banks and other financial institutions…not on the street. No velocity means no added impetus to inflationary pressures.

        • TPTB-USA October 3, 2022 at 3:05 pm #

(Hyper)inflation is the equivalent of currency devaluation is it not?

For nonessential goods, no velocity means deflation; but for essentials in short supply, coupled with income/wealth disparity, there is the potential for inflation.

MA has pointed out that the US bond market is 10 times the size of the US stock market, and as Jim put it last week [The bond market has gone south, and that spells The End for the great game of financialization. The bond market is Moby Dick compared to the little blowfish that is the stock market. The global money system is based on bonds, which are… what? That’s right: loans… promises to pay you X at some future moment. So, what happens when a daisy-chain of promises-to-pay gets broken? Or, perhaps more precisely, when all those promises lose their last shred of plausible reality? Why, the money that these broken promises are denominated in loses its essential cred. Trick question: how much is worthless money worth? (Answer: not enough to pay for a can of Schrodinger’s cat food.)

Which is where all this folderol leaves a lot of ordinary people all over Western Civ (and beyond!) trying to scratch up enough increasingly worthless money to feed the family and pay the landlord. Many will never understand what happened.
But they will not be any less pissed off at the result.]

Has Jim Rickards factored in the velocity of the money flow trying to escape Europe? Sure, the US$ is temporarily stronger, until it isn’t. Then what? Perhaps he needs to define immediate? Is he talking minutes, hours, days, months, years? An I Bond at near 10% sure looks attractive, and the money is only locked-up for a year. Perhaps one year will be the outside expiration date for the US$? One sure doesn’t want to get stuck holding the Old Maid.

          • beantownbill. October 3, 2022 at 4:56 pm #

The current I-bond rate is only good until October 22nd. This bond rate consists of a ‘base rate’ and an inflation-based rate, which total up to about 9.6 or .7 %. The inflation-based rate is, I believe, adjusted every 6 months, so you really don’t know what your final rate will be. It’s possible the feds can say inflation is at 4% on the 22nd, thus lowering the total bond rate, but a week or 2 later inflation comes back at 14%, new bond rates are around that, and you’re holding the bag with a low Ibond rate.

I just don’t trust the government to invest my $ with them. But that’s just me.

          • elysianfield October 3, 2022 at 7:18 pm #

            TP,
Rickards current thesis is that the Fed will not blink and then begin to lower interest rates. He suggests that to reach the Fed target of 2-3%, they would have to raise rate above the current rate real inflation. He suggests that this will crash the economy…Wall Street advances imply that the Fed wil bow to political pressure and begin to lower rates when the pain becomes evident, later this year. Fed has been calling for pain, in several releases. Rickards believes that their call to pain is a forward indication of resolve towards interest raises.

Volker, and his breaking of the rate of inflation in the 80’s is the accepted paradigm, And the current chairman knows that recession/depression is bad, but the government will weather it…he further knows that rampant inflation is not necessarily survivable….QED

          • hmuller October 3, 2022 at 9:22 pm #

Bill, I bought my newborn nephew an I bond in 2001 when the fixed rate portion was 3.4 percent. Now it’s usually around zero.

The inflation adjusted portion of the return is now high and likely to stay there. Twice a year on May 01 and Nov 01 the annual inflation rate portion is recalculated based on the past 6 months CPI times 2.

Of course, the BLS low balls the real inflation rate. Another reason I would not buy an I Bond today is that the world financial situation has reached the end game. Stick to tangible things – long-term groceries, fuel, guns, gold, silver.

          • TPTB-USA October 4, 2022 at 2:02 am #

elysianfield, my read of your posts are that Rickards believes that the FED can control the situation.

When I view the Trading Economics 10Y DXY forex chart, I see an annual gain of 20%; and when I view the Trading Economics 10Y EUR/USD forex chart, I see a comparable loss (and just for fun, look at the 10Y charts of USDRUB, LAKUSD, and TRYUSD). Given the lash-up that is taking place in the US under Biden’s watch, I buy MA’s promotion that money flow is the dominant factor that determines value at this point, and that while a 10% gain may look good from a country perspective, it can be a miserable beating from the perspective of another currency (or even that which one has to buy to function).

Then have a look at the 10Y US30 index, and the 10Y DXY forex, and ask yourself: What is the justification for the strength of the USD? Do you believe that the FED has control (or will be able to get control) of the situation?

A 2018 post paints a picture of one aspect that the FED has to deal with (The Shortage of US Dollars (AE)) and he points to “Turkey is a live example of the most vital element of all – CONFIDENCE. When that is lost, this is what produces hyperinflation – NOT the quantity of money.”.

I’m thinking that the current money printing is a use-it or lose-it situation for the government (the set-up), and the only question is: At what point does the population lose confidence in the government? With people like Yellen at the helm, it is hard to know if they want to weather the storm, or sink the ship.

So, which is better: Monitor the FED, or gain an understanding and monitor the money flow?

To monitor who is wining the war in Ukraine, perhaps keep an eye on RUBUSD.

          • elysianfield October 4, 2022 at 11:50 am #

“elysianfield, my read of your posts are that Rickards believes that the FED can control the situation.”

            TP

Actually, Rickards believes that they cannot. The Fed, he suggests, have only a few tools, and can control inflation, but at a massive and destructive cost. The Fed is trying to balance what leverage they have for a “soft landing”. Rickards completely debunks those efforts.

The British population might be in denial, but the people steering the ship (into catastrophe) know exactly what they’re doing. They’re working on the Bank of England digital currency and apparently the BofE even has implantable chips already prepared.

Also today’s UKC news included a scary item on the Bank for International Settlements setting up shop in the UK, with Fat Boy Carstens and his band of demons having signed contracts that gives them the right to be a state within a state – no British official, politician, policeman or anyone else is allowed through the doors in any circumstances. I find this terrifying. The City of London is the hub for everything evil in the world.

          • Beryl of Oyl October 3, 2022 at 11:52 am #

Women as a group need a woman or two who is large enough and strong enough to to certain kinds of manual labor.

As for other difficult chores, they can operate on the “many hands make light work” principle, which I’m pretty sure came from women in the first place.

Women are much better suited to survival over the long haul than men are.

You know what chore I can’t do myself to prepare for the cold weather, here at casa Beryl?

I have the old-fashioned storm windows. I am physically unable to climb up a ladder and place the tall, heavy storm window into its frame.

I can get a man to do it for me, I can stick plastic over the window from inside, or I could get some scaffolding and one or two other women to help me put the windows on.

Then there is the option of simply not doing chores one cannot do.

If you look at Fort Myers, you will see a lot of situations where men are in their element, saving the day.

            This to me is breathtaking:

In a world made by hand, there will be plenty of work for both sexes. Jobs that require physical strength, like framing houses and buildings, pouring concrete etc. will be done by men. Jobs like running households, preserving and cooking food, growing food, caring for livestock and chickens, washing clothing by hand, etc. – those jobs will be done by women. It doesn’t take a genius to figure this out, it’s just common sense. If you’ve never had a proper job and spent your life indoors shuffling papers, and talking and writing bullshit , you might not understand.

        • Jarek October 3, 2022 at 12:51 pm #

Very pregnant women can use a digging stick (light agriculture), but not the heavy plough or do any other heavy labor without the danger of miscarrying.

          We have forgotten so much.

        • farmgal October 3, 2022 at 1:37 pm #

@Woodchuck…I get where you’re coming from but I can’t let you slide on the physical strength thing. I’m 5’7″ and 135 lbs. Bigger than a lot of men and while I will agree that the upper body strength of men is superior that does not preclude a woman doing physical things and I’m no butch. For instance, when framing a house one is just nailing boards together and when the wall is ready to be raised you call over a buddy or two to help out, man or woman.

I guess I have a chip on my shoulder because I don’t think there’s much a man can do that I can’t; use a chainsaw or change oil in a tractor. If I was a male paper pusher like you mention who has the advantage? I’m just thankful that when I was 10 and desperate to be a boy my parents didn’t indulge me by lopping off my boobs and giving ne a hysterectomy. Mostly I just wanted to be Bart Starr and play football.

Attitude and motivation can make up for a lot.

View the delusion. Bigger than a very few men, and many of those men would be stronger than you nonetheless.

Yes you can drive a tractor and use a chainsaw. This site was founded on the premise of what happens after those are useless.

          • Woodchuck October 3, 2022 at 4:37 pm #

I was on a framing crew many many decades ago in my youth. I was able to do this because I’d worked summers as a teenager on crews unloading rail cars filled with building materials. Very heavy stuff like 90 lb bags of portland cement, roll roofing, half inch thick 4×12 foot drywall etc. I’ve witnessed serious industrial accidents happen, and I’ve had a few myself, including once falling off a roof while framing a house. Many a time I’ve had to help shove roof trusses up in the air and get them on top of the walls by muscle only. Nailing down plywood roof decking takes some serious muscle as well as very precise balance to be twenty feet up in the air and moving heavy sheets of plywood around. When the roof is complicated with dormers and valleys coming together, you’re up there with a skill saw and other tools and moving around on a sloping surface made slippery by sawdust from your saw blowing around.

To do this work professionally much more is required than nailing boards together, although I’ve done that as well. One of my assigned framing tasks was using an air nailer to make corners and cripple double studs for framing in windows and doors – all day long. Once, I was nailing a couple of 2×4’s together and I fired my nailgun into a section of the 2×4 that was punky and rotten. The nail had no resistance going into the rotten board and maybe an inch of nail shot out the other side of the second 2×4. I was nailing the two 2×4’s together. My hand had carelessly been holding that stud at that very spot I was nailing, so I got a nail through my hand. An accident like this one is considered a minor one. Far worse is always possible. The work requires you’ll get sliced, stabbed, fingers smacked with a hammer, falling off a roof, etc.

Most guys in construction I worked with were large in stature, building materials are made with them in mind. There were also tall skinny guys around that were solid muscle and could handle concrete building blocks easily as they were laying them with mortar. Part of the job requirements involve taking some serious physical risk as well as experiencing pain and discomfort as you work. In summer you might be framing in the Deep South with temps in the high 90’s day after day. You’ll be wearing cloth work gloves because tools can sometimes burn your hand because they’ve been sitting a while in the sun.

I’ve no doubt there are women around who can do this work. But doing it professionally with a crew is another matter. I had a foreman watching me, and if I started slacking off on my end and holding up production I was in for a tongue lashing and being humilated in front of the crew. Then fired if it kept happening.

Everyone regardless of gender will do very well to learn basic plumbing, electricity, carpentry, mixing and pouring concrete etc. The more you know the better. So you can fix your own place and have some pride in being able to use yer own hands to build or repair something of value. A woman who rarely needs a handyman or tradesman is in my mind somebody who is that much more interesting, capable, and self sufficient.

          • Suburban_elk October 3, 2022 at 8:48 pm #

Grip strength (hand strength) is a good proxy for upper body strength.

One percent of woman have grip strength equal to an average man’s.

I don’t have “the link” but that is what it said, and not to mention comports with common sense. Look at ur hands, ladies, the thickness of the fingers and wrists, and compare them with a construction worker’s.

          • Bobby E October 7, 2022 at 3:21 pm #

There really isn’t women’s work or men’s work. Just work we are suited for. Now women can’t pee standing up (yeah, yeah, you’re right you can, but no, you really don’t want to). But men can’t have babies. And which sex-based ability is more important? To be honest I pee sitting down because it’s more comfortable and less of a mess. But I wander off. I have a problem with the sexes being pigeonholed into jobs that become typical of men or women and then they try to affix a lesser value to the jobs typically done by women than the jobs typically done by men. That attitude is what created feminism and the damage it caused. There will always be those that are greater or lesser in our culture. And many factors go into arriving at those being measured as greater or lesser. But one of those factors should not based on one’s sex.

I went to a nationally franchised dental clinic last week. Out of the ten people working there only one was a white male. And he probably qualified under the alphabet soup banner.

I think woke politics figures into corporate hiring decisions. A white hetero male is at the bottom of the list – only if it’s absolutely unavoidable will he be hired.

        • Rowdypiglet October 4, 2022 at 10:52 am #

Hereward, the same could be said of the nasty jobs. I’ve never seen a woman driving a trash truck or collecting trash, nor have I ever seen one pumping out a septic tank.

The truth is that you can always point to a few exceptions, but the rule is that women are just not as strong as men. My grandmother was 4’10” and was remarkably strong for her size and delicate build. She grew up doing laundry by hand and quite a bit of other hard, physical work. But it didn’t bear comparison to the labor done by the men in the family, without whom she would have been effectively disabled.

Of course, many men can’t do that work either anymore.

          • Soul Forensics October 5, 2022 at 2:17 am #

“The truth is that you can always point to a few exceptions, but the rule is that women are just not as strong as men.”

The truth is even simpler than that.

Women don’t want to work the dirty jobs, even when “equality” mandates are enforced. This isn’t just speculative. They tried this in Sweden not long ago, laws accommodating women in a variety of jobs traditionally “closed” to women — construction, sewage maintenance, outdoor millwrights, firemen, etc.

The result? Even fewer women signed on to those jobs in a feminist “dream” scenario.

I worked as a galvanizer in a steel mill and as a construction worker for 15 years. Not a single woman co-worker. And the outfits I worked for were huge.

          • SpeedyBB October 5, 2022 at 2:57 am #

Rowdy, regarding your statement that “…most men can’t do that work anymore…”: I’ve been watching police bodycam videos on YouTube in recent days. Some of the footage is amazing – up to Hollywood action movie standards. Most of it is dull and boring, like most police work.

What I have noted however, as an expatriate (only back in the USA in 2001 and 2019, for short visits) is the softness of hardened criminals. Practically every one is a tubby, and to watch them flee on foot from police officers is quite a treat. Is it that they got used to fattening, low-nutrition food while serving time for previous crimes? Or just how they grew up?

I cannot help but conclude that the sunken IQ scores, damaged impulse control and other behavioral impediments in the individuals I’ve been watching on TV is strongly influenced by body chemistry being out of balance, badly. Crappy food and drugs, both prescription and illegal, being the culprits.

My other realization, also concerning boomers and succeeding generations, is that those born before 1945 might be the “last purebloods” as the brains of most people alive today are riddled with Strontium 90, Cesium 138, twinkly bits of Plutonium and other tasty by-products of the nuclear age. Could that not also be what’s affecting thought and behavior so weirdly?

I was born in 1940, and I certainly seem to have little thought and action in common with postwar babies.

          • Anthea October 5, 2022 at 7:15 am #

            @ SpeedyBB:

I’m old enough to remember the generation born between 1914 and 1926 (my parents’ birth years). The decline in physical strength and vitality in subsequent generations is very striking. My dad built the house I grew up in–entirely with hand tools, including digging the basement and foundations with a shovel. Exterior sheathing, prior to about 1960, was dimension lumber (looks like approximately 2″X10″), laid on the diagonal. Subflooring was the same, also laid on the diagonal, with hardwood flooring laid over it. The lumber was all cut with a hand saw. I say the exterior sheathing “looks like” 2″X10″ dimension lumber because I haven’t seen it up close since I was a child. As the old houses in my childhood neighborhood are rennovated, I can drive around and see that they were all built that way.

One of my uncles built a log home when he was nearly 80. Old farmer neighbors tell me that people used to dig farm ponds with a shovel–which Helen and Scott Nearing mention doing in “The Good Life.” They didn’t need a stock pond, as they were vegetarians; they just wanted a swimming hole.

The Boomer generation was less vital than their parents–though the boys were still bucking hay in the summer–and the generations since then still less vital.

I think we’ve been poisoned from a variety of sources. Certainly most of the food is poison. IMHO, people should make it a goal to produce most of their own food.

It’s interesting too that the “Greatest Generation,” at least from what I have heard, grew up on a pretty austere diet: lots of biscuits and gravy and cornbread and beans–and lots of milk. I don’t think most people were able to eat meat every day, by any means. So it appears that you can be very strong and healthy on a diet that is far less rich and varied than ours–provided it’s not poisoned.

          • Paula D October 6, 2022 at 2:24 pm #

Now I wonder what my parents were brought up eating. For sure there wasn’t much and no way they had meat every day.
I think that FDR even campaigned on a Chicken every Sunday pledge.
So yeah, the way people eat now is disgusting, but I think that more important for vim and vigor than the type of food is exercise. Obviously you have to have enough calories to stay alive during heavy exercise, but also obviously humans can be very fit on very little food.
I was thinking about the saying “Before enlightenment, carry water, chop wood. After enlightenment, carry water, chop wood”.
That was reality so common back then that everyone understood it.
But I just turn on a faucet for water and punch a button to cook food. Piece of cake!
I get food from a grocery store that I drive to.
I used to work as a nurse, which is far more labor intensive than most paper-pushing, er…computer tapping, jobs, but still, we had electric doors so we didn’t have to be challenged by actually pushing a door open, electric beds so we didn’t have to turn a crank (except on the really old beds), etc.
            And I drove to work.
So life is just too damn easy. And that makes Americans too damn fat and weak.
I guess that’ll change soon. And the chorus of anger and whining will escalate far more than now, even though it has already started.

      • Anthea October 4, 2022 at 6:06 am #

        @ JohnAZ:

Gender roles are generally a good thing. One of the main reasons for well defined gender roles is that, wherever it is acceptable for women to perform men’s work, they wind up being forced to perform both the men’s work and the women’s work. Thus, since about 1970, the women–or many of them–have had to do it all without much in the way of a male contribution.

So, at one level at least, I’d say we’re used to doing it all (including much of the heavy work); whereas, the men are mostly used to doing nothing at all, or making a far smaller contribution. I.e., both husband and wife work full-time, but the wife also does all the cooking, cleaning, and childcare.

So if the men would like to be once again indispensible to the domestic economy, they will need to get up off their collective asses and actually make a contribution. It’s been awhile since many of them have done the men’s work.

In my experience, too, women are much more adaptable. I can think of many small examples of this. When the electricity goes out, is it the husband or the wife who has had the foresight to have candles on hand? Who has stacked the firewood up to the ceiling in advance of the storm? Who is frying eggs on the wood stove? Who has the pantry so well stocked that no one needs to leave the house for a month?

        • Anthea October 4, 2022 at 6:26 am #

I used to love cutting firewood, and even rather enjoyed splitting it–though I was never any good with a maul. I always used wedges and a ten-pound hammer. I never minded hauling water all that much, either.

I had many good times cutting firewood in the snow with a group of people. The men have a tendency to hog the chainsaws–the fun part–and assign the women to dragging brush–the hard, heavy part. I used to be very good with a chainsaw. My daughter was about 14 the first time she got hold of one, and I thought she would never give it back. They are just intoxicating to use.

          • Woodchuck October 4, 2022 at 10:06 am #

Guys tend to think that if a machine is potentially dangerous to operate and makes a lot of racket, then it’s something for us to use. The ladies can stand back and watch. Airplanes are machines like that, noisy and very dangerous when operated improperly. In the old days, flying was almost entirely a guy thing, but a few female pilots jumped in there and flew just as well or even better than any of the guys. People like Jackie Cochran or Amelia Earheart. Jackie set records flying the F-104 that according to Chuck Yeager, still stand today.

Flying planes doesn’t require a lot of muscle. But there are chainsaws out there that do require it. These are the professional logging saws that cost around 2000.00 dollars and have bars up to six feet long. Engine horsepower on these beasts can be very high and they have a lot of torque. When a saw like this kicks back at you because the chain on the top rail got in a bind, you need to be a big guy with big shoulders in order to keep control of the saw. The situation is you’ll have a big saw running full throttle suddenly punching you in the gut. It’s safer now with the anti kickback mechanisms, but it can still happen. I’ve used a big saw with a four foot long bar a few times, and I felt awkward and uncomfortable with it. Frankly, the thing scared me. An old Stihl 075, the second largest one they made back in the day. I figure I’ll let Paul Bunyan go cut a giant oak trunk with that model and I’ll sit back and watch.

I’m just mentioning all this to keep the drama going between the feminists vs the anti-feminists. You know, the claim or observation that some machines and situations are meant for guys only.

Oh, hell no! The worst part was when they hooked chainsaws up to car engines and then competed how many seconds it took to go through logs.

            Answer: not many.

          • Anthea October 5, 2022 at 7:29 am #

            @ Woodchuck:

I guess when it comes to who gets to use the chainsaw and who has to drag brush, a lot depends on who owns the chainsaw and who owns the woodlot.

And it can be dangerous just cutting up a large tree branch that has blown down in a storm: they will roll. I heard many hilarious stories about wood-cutting mishaps. One bunch of guys, perceiving that the tree was about to fall in the wrong direction, tied a rope around it, ran the rope through the crotch of a nearby tree, and attached the rope to the pickup truck. The plan was to use the power of the pickup truck to pull the tree so it would fall the right direction. What actually happened was that the pickup truck was pulled up into the tree, where it dangled down the tree trunk.

I used to own a Stihl, though it was a small one. I got tired of saws that wouldn’t start.

“So if the men would like to be once again indispensible to the domestic economy, they will need to get up off their collective asses and actually make a contribution. It’s been awhile since many of them have done the men’s work.”

In the construction industry, men are getting up off their asses and making a contribution. As I’m writing this, men are preparing to work in Florida rebuilding after hurricane Ian. These men are different from most other men in the US however. They are mostly Hispanic immigrants. White men with soft pink pudgy hands are still on their asses watching tv, smoking dope, and waiting for their checks to arrive.

          • Anthea October 5, 2022 at 7:50 am #

            @ Woodchuck:

The family that bought my rather run-down house in a rural lake community (“Dogpatch-by-the-Lake”) are Hispanic immigrants. They are some very high-type people: religious, family-oriented, and hard-working. The husband speaks harldly any English but has worked like a demon to fix the place up–as has the wife. I have no doubt that it will be a dollhouse, in time. I’m impressed with many of these folks.

Not that there aren’t white people who will do the same, right there in the same town. But you get a different vibe from Hispanics. The family loyalty–including extended family–is tremendous.

And do the men obey the women? Live in fear of being divorce/raped? Actually pay the women for being mothers like you want?

None of that. There is Feminism in Mexico but the government doesn’t back it so it is essentially powerless.

If they stay here, the daughters will be corrupted and their clans will fall apart. They will assimilate to this evil feminist culture in other words.

Regarding the man v woman stuff that follows.
I studied evolutionary systems in grad school and it pretty much reinforced that sexual selection diverges in times of crisis in resources.
Regarding men v women and strength:
My wife who I adore and respect rowed crew for a big ten team, competed in triathlons and plays tennis four times a week.
I’m a 67 decent shape weekend warrior who just escaped his third spine surgery with conservative therapy. For the past two weeks I’ve been building a workshop from scratch almost singlehandedly including building all four walls and building and assembling the roof trusses and roof myself, alone, hefting the trusses into upright position and nailing the purlins and most of the roof sheathing. All with spinal stenosis lurking in the background.
My superbly conditioned 60 year old wife cannot carry a five gallon water bottle up one flight of steps and put it on the cooler.
        QED.

        Firearms are tools.

Having different tools for different purposes makes sense.

Identifying the threats from which a person seeks protection helps focus on the firearms most likely to be the proper tools for the jobs.

Practice. Lack of practice is dangerous. Lots of practice is needed.

Feeding a shotgun is different from feeding a rifle either semi auto or bolt action.

Handguns are a further refinement of tools and also require practice.

Choice of ammunition is in the mix. This is part of the tool, thus needs selection based on purpose. It also requires the purchaser to understand the various load choices and how the individual is impacted by the discharge of the firearm (recoil, muzzle rise are examples).

The last time things went Medieval, people built some pretty serious fortifications. We now live in a much more densely populated world, where there will probably be a lot more potential attackers.

That’s what worries me most about the prospects for self-defense of the more self-sufficient rural people.

    • Woodchuck October 3, 2022 at 1:03 pm #

Propane will only last so long, and you might not be able to get a refill. Then what? Well, it’s back to the same lifestyle our forebears enjoyed using coal and wood as a source of energy.

Want a lot of hot water? You’ll have a big cast iron caudron in the back yard, and a wood or coal fire under it to make all the hot water you’d like. Cooking in the kitchen? Wood burning cookstove. For heating the house – use firewood or coal. drf If I was in your shoes, I’d use the propane for running a refrigerator/freezer for when the grid is down for a while. Appliances to keep food frozen will be a big help during the Long Emergency – if that’s doable. Propane is also handy for metalworking, along with acetylene. Propane doesn’t spoil eventually in storage like gasoline or diesel.

There are too many things failing or catching on fire, and the incompetence at the top is breathtaking. We are in a global war that is also being fought over here. If you break down the events of the past couple of years, the destruction of food, the shortage of fertilizer, the destruction of food plants, the covid/CRT/trans Psy-ops, the visible decay of our institutions, the crazy assed money printing, the only thing that is missing is the bomb craters and the bullet pocked walls.

I live near the Jacksonville Naval Air Station on the St. Johns River. From my 12th floor perch I watch planes landing there from GITMO in Cuba shuttling personnel and supplies back and forth weekly. Last week I did see the older P-3 Orion with a tail boom and 4 prop engines (Russian sub hunter plane is 4 props too) has a range of 5,570 miles and the distance to Poland 5,156 miles. The replacing American Navy submarine hunter aircraft of the P-3 Orion is the P-8 Poseidon and it’s range is 1,381 miles. I think Monkey Werx and I’ve seen some of his postings of following on a screen. Do you think he can follow military aircraft? I know you can’t follow Air Force One. Flight Aware does not track military aircraft or the presidential movement.

    • MaryQueen October 3, 2022 at 10:59 am #

I am pretty sure I’ve seen Monkey Werx track Airforce One in the past. That was awhile ago.

But you are correct that the apps for flights don’t pick up certain planes. They don’t pick up the ones spraying the sky with chemtrails, for example.

      • Not_GeorgeT October 3, 2022 at 8:56 pm #

I had the software, learned a little about using it. The transponder in the aircraft needs to be turned on.

We could revisit where the planes of 9-11 went.

Turn off the transponder so the real plane can fly East over the Atlantic.

Can someone pass me my tinfoil hat, please?

Some restaurants employ minimum wage workers to write their fortune cookies.

I’m imagining a 23 year-old college grad with 100K of student debt (only 10K, at this point, is ‘forgiven’?) writing that one up for the deal-makers at a swanky five-star establishment.

I can’t follow all the military stuff. I used to have a couple or three of contacts who were well-versed in all things military, and could explain many points that made world affairs that much clearer to me.

What I don’t understand is how it isn’t clear to everyone who has done even the slightest level of reading about the situation in Ukraine, that there is a gigantic money-laundering operation going on in that “country”.

    • mitchellc October 3, 2022 at 11:45 am #

See my post above outlining some of the various players.

The military couldn’t possibly give a shit; it’s simply a career opportunity. No one is going to take their toys away. If “Ukraine” didn’t exist, it would have to be invented.

Once you come to understand that principles, standards, slogans and oaths are merely for public consumption, then you’ll be able to clearly understand true motives and objectives.

Jaz likes to call them the Mob; perhaps a bit too focused on the traditional criminal label. What is true is the universal disdain among all players for anyone so naive, so clueless as to not figure it out.

I mean, anytime Pelosi, McConnell, et al speak they are practically publicly mocking the rubes sitting in the cheap seats.

        No, Mitchellc

        I mean theMob, circa 2022.

I went to visit the Mob Museum in Vegas and was appalled by the growth of the US Mob and how they invaded everything. The global Mob I am surmising is the combination of many nation’s Mobs. Think of fentanyl, China, Mexico and the US. Think of the MIC Mob here plus NATO and Ukraine.

I guess I am saying a part of the WEF Great Reset is a global Mob, doing the dirty work.

I do believe the US government starting with the president are members of the US Mob, comprised of Latino, Black, Asian and yes European Mobs using the US as a major customer of the illicit trades. The black market has always been the signature of the Mob.

That is why nothing is done about the border.

          To JohnAZ

Nope! You are totally wrong my friend. The Global Mob, if you want to call them such, is rather small, concentrated and organised group of Talmudic adherents that want to control the world. I call them Zhidovsky Cabal as most, if not all of them, are Zhids. That word means Zionist, in Russian.
Ask yourself as to whom do your politicians have to swear the alligience, on taking the office? Don’t know? No, it’s not to you people that voted for them to be there, absolutely not – it’s to Israhell! Understand now?
Then ask yourself who controls ALL your mass media, all six major global MSM corporations? Your Federal Reserve and all the major banks? Your Military Industrial Complex? Your political “administration”? Big Pharma? Food supply? Education? And the rest…Easy enough to find out. You will discover something very interesting – most of those in control there are Zhids. Not bad for only 4% of the population – don’t you think?
As I said. they are organised, have an agenda and a plan. And have been working towards their agenda FOR QUITE A WHILE.
Another name for them is a global parasite. They do not produce anything that benefits others, they have discovered how to be a very successful parasite and have been feasting on this humanity for centuries. Also discovered that by seeding strive and dissent among that humanity benefits them greatly. Hence the reason for MOST wars in this world! Divide and rule. And make yourself richer in the process. On the blood of others. That is exactly what they are doing in Ukraine right now. Clear?
And if you still have any doubts, read their Talmud. You can find it on www – read it. Spells out exactly what they want to do with us, “goyims”, in detail. It will make your hair stand on end!
The more people know and understand their satanic agenda the easier it will be for humanity to fight this parasitic evil. And kill it for good. It’s a parasite that needs to be destroyed before it destroys ALL OF US, regardless what country we are from. President of Russia, VVP has got their number.. going for them!

    Green Treason

If you read the disputed Rand Report on weakening Germany to fill the coffers of the US and renew the Cold War, one of the many truths it speaks to is that Greens are fanatical and unprofessional. They are so enchanted to be taken seriously with their unicorn fantasies of a fossil free future, that they are easily manipulated by powerful forced including the military and the fossil fuel companies themselves.

The Greens dont give a hoot about grids, ROEI, physics, reliable flows of energy and where the god damm money comes from to support keeping the lights on

If Germany completely loses its industrial and manufacturing base and hence its tax and banking system to fulfill a last gasp of empire for NATO., then there is no green future provided by technology.

There is only blight and war.

The Germans are used to war, famine, and destruction. It’s been a lifestyle for them for many centuries. When Rome was a glittering city on a hill, Germany was a bunch of tribesmen running around in the woods with horns on their heads. Maybe every now and then the Germans experience a longing to go back to that former lifestyle of living in the woods and acting like a bunch of wild Indians. Eventually they decided it would be fun to gather a big group of German guys together and head south to sack Rome. Big adventure. I’m sure the Vandals, Goths, Visigoths etc. didn’t suffer from boredom.

As far as I can tell, Merkel is responsible for letting the WEF take over in Germany. How did someone like her get into a leadership position? Did she ever have majority support or is she someone like Hitler? Adolf never had majority support in Germany when he was on the ballots. He had to be appointed to the position of chancellor. He wasn’t elected to that office.

I was reading some really stupid take Dan Rather made on the Russia/Ukraine situation, and something finally clicked for me.

I have mentioned before at this site, my frustration with many of the ‘old-timers’ in the news business. Some of the younger ones do not appear to believe they are doing anything wrong or to even know what their jobs are, but I thought people like Dan should know better.

After reading his latest dumb remark, it hit me that Dan is a dimwitted individual who thinks he is smart, and indeed manages to seem fairly intelligent.

Maybe because he conducts himself in the manner we were accustomed to seeing from smart people, or people we were told were smart.

Remember Dan and his zeal to take out George Bush, because he hated George HW so bad?

Well there was plenty that Dan could have used against both W and HW to take out the whole dynasty before it took root, but he was too stupid to know that.

Some good solid investigative reporting way back when could have
saved us a heap pf misery today.

George didn’t fulfill his guard duty? How lame is that?

Prescott Bush has another claim to fame. He found the bones of Geronimo in the early 1920’s. He found them on Fort Sill Oklahoma under a tombstone marked “Geronimo”.
The bones have ever since resided in Skull & Bones HQ at Yale, despite the protests of Native Americans.

        • Woodchuck October 3, 2022 at 1:27 pm #

Unlike the men in the Bush clan, Geronimo was a real man, not a fake man like the “men” one would encounter at Yale. Perhaps the Bonesmen are hoping that some of that native spirit is still residing in those bones, and if they keep the bones close at hand, some of that manhood might trickle on down to them in some way. I think they are delusional, that they’ll always be fake men no matter how rich or famous they are.

          @ Beryl of Oyl:

Miracle Whip is used to make gas-station sandwiches and many restauratn sandwiches (and other “mayonnaise” stuff) because it does not spoil as easily as mayonnaise.

Mayonnaise is a combination of ingredients that poses a pretty serious risk of food poisoning, especially if it sits in warm conditions for awhile. My high school biology teacer once said that the number one cause of botulism is careless handling of potato salad.

NEVER eat mussels mayonaise at a Chinese bufftet. (Apparently no one has told the Chinese that mayonaisse should not be held at warm temperatures.)

I personally consider Miracle Whip to be an offense against nature. Fie and shame on anyone who uses it to make anything!

Monkey Werx says that P-8 Poseidon Navy Sub Hunter released a MK-54 torpedo Which I find an incredible story hard to believe, First off the P-8 Poseidon has a range of 1,381 miles and from the USA would take 4 defueling’s to get there. Next off the MK-54 torpedo would have to be released right over and travel 225 feet to the underwater pipe encased in 4 inches of concrete. The MK-54 torpedo has had many troubles in accuracy and malfunctions. I have to believe Monkey Werx is blowing smoke up his readers asses. My take if I were to speculate was that explosives were attached by divers of unknown origins in small boats at night days before on a timer.

What also struck me was how well Trump plays to the crowd. He knew exactly what to say to the well-meaning but dumb attendees; they adore him. Same old Trump, semi-coherent, making up “facts” on the fly, and egotistically touting his achievements. But he does have a lot of energy for an old geezer. It’s amazing to me how effective the Putin misinformation campaign is in this country when it it sooooooooo simple to read the man’s own words. This bit from his latest speech pretty much sums up what this once great nation has become.

” The West is ready to cross every line to preserve the neo-colonial system which allows it to live off the world, to plunder it thanks to the domination of the dollar and technology, to collect an actual tribute from humanity, to extract its primary source of unearned prosperity, the rent paid to the hegemon. The preservation of this annuity is their main, real and absolutely self-serving motivation. This is why total de-sovereignisation is in their interest. This explains their aggression towards independent states, traditional values and authentic cultures, their attempts to undermine international and integration processes, new global currencies and technological development centres they cannot control. It is critically important for them to force all countries to surrender their sovereignty to the United States.”

That’s the 1%’s right there, ready and willing to sacrifice the rest of us in their insatiable march to have it all.

This has always been the case, dating back long before the first empires, before the first proto humans, extant today in any number of different groupings and collectives in the animal kingdom, whether they are troops, prides or herds.

What so many people here seem to embrace is the noble attainment of virtue by being the victim, the rube, the loser.

Russias 1,000+ year history absolutely epitomizes an aggressive, predatory state. It demonstrates that putin is among the clever 1% by appealing to the brotherhood of allied opponents who would so dearly love to be playing offense.

If you want to enjoy your brief time here as a sentient being, you really must drop the pretense – intentionally indoctrinated – that were any different than any other life form hierarchical organization.

Once youve achieved that state of enlightenment, you’ll not only be able to ID the players on the field, but also be able to impartially observe the life drama played out on the serengeti.

Rather victim or oppressor, how about an eco tourist returning to a luxury tent to enjoy a fine steak and glass of wine?

        @ mitchellc:

While it is good to have no illusions about the nation-state, whose whole nature is conquest and confiscation and systematic exploitation, there are contervailing forces.

I’ve mentioned here before that you can learn a lot about people by watching goats, whose behaviors are almost all social-dominance behaviors. With humans these behaviors are usually more subtle: if you have a broken leg, your fellow humans will not usually see this as an opportunity to head-butt you, as goats would. (They may see this as an opportunity to undermine you in the workplace, resent your taking a good parking space, or something similar.)

On the other hand, the countervailing force of true community does exist, though it is the nature of the nation-state (and other institutions constituted in the same way) to apply steady pressure to undermine and destroy true community. The Putin quote above, supplied by Opie, states this pretty clearly–except that one should not be conflating nation-states with true communities. Nevertheless, Putin is correct I think in identifying the destruction of the nation-state as a more advanced stage in the destruction of human relations in general.

Even today, authenic human community relationships exist. Humans are very much hard-wired to gain their sense of self-worth by being the giver, rather than the taker. I’ve even found that the easiest way to make friends with your neighborhood’s juvenile delinquents is to bum a cigarette off of them; you have cast them in the role of benefactor, and they will love you for it.

I could give endless examples of friends and neighbors who have helped me or my daughters. (There was that one daughter who managed to land her car in a ditch four times during the first winter after she started driving. Someone came along with a logging chain within 15 minutes and pulled her out of the ditch, all four times.) When an elderly couple had a dead battery in a parking lot, a small crowd gathered to help them. I drove the old guy to O’Reilly’s to get a new battery, and two or three other people helped him install it. Local car mechanics will help you with minor car problems and refuse to accept payment. I’m talking about helping you put your convertible top back up when you can’t do it alone, or telling you that your car is shaking because you need to wash the mud out of the wheels. Neighbors will plow your driveway or help you dig post-holes. Churches are engaged in all kinds of charitable activities. The local thrift store is entirely staffed with volunteers. Sometimes you feel that you are in competition with friends, neighbors, and family members to see who can do the most for each other.

IMHO, this what normal human community relations are. Statism is what destroys this, just as it destroys culture, religion, and families.

If you want to do good, both for yourself and for others, building community is one of the best ways to do it and ultimately one of the best ways to undermine the State.

The National Institutes of Health gave EcoHealth Alliance and Peter Daszak another batflu grant.

This is another instance of “them” showing us they can do anything they want. Like putting boys on girls’ sports teams, or having teachers tell your kids what ‘gender’ they are.

I’m not the only one noticing this. I don’t know if I feel better knowing I’m not alone, or worse because it confirms what I have been seeing is really happening:

“They took a legendary 200-year-old crystal flute out of storage so that Lizzo could play two notes on it.

The purpose is to remind you that nothing you care about has any value.”
    https://twitter.com/anncoulter

This also ties in to something else I have mentioned before- when I talked about the Johnny Depp court case peple would always miss my point, going into what they thought of Johnny Depp personally or the MeToo movement or whatever; my point was there is a Great Replacement of America’s entertainment industry stars going on. Johnny Depp was arguably the biggest star in the world at the time that the WaPo and ACLU tried to cancel him.

Whoever heard of this Lizzie person? The music industry is being taken over by a bunch of one-named “stars” you never heard of, certainly not known for their songs or their abilities.

If you were to turn on a station that plays current music, you will notice that nearly all the vocals are auto-tuned. This is supposedly because the artists think it sounds cool, but it also has they advantage of allowing someone who can’t carry a tune at all but fits the right demographics, be able to pursue a career as a singer.

Elvis wasn’t known solely by his first name until he became very well known for his music.

So, this will be what passes for culture in the North American Region.

    • BackRowHeckler October 3, 2022 at 1:32 pm #

Yes that was James Madison’s flute, 200 centuries old.

I read an article a few weeks ago about James Madison’s home which is a National Historic Site. Apparently Madison is hardly mentioned in brochures, markers, or by park guides except in the most negative terms. Turns out Madison was the worst sort of scoundrel, a White Supremacist, a Slave Owner, and wasn’t down with the LBGQT movement.

The whole park is all about chattel slavery. The same goes with Washington and Jefferson’s historic homesteads as well according to the author.

Really, you need to stop watching mass media. The 24/7 channels need a constant source of content.

My guess is you’re bored. Why not move somewhere or become engaged in something worthwhile?

      Look, it’s really super simple:

      – there’s not enough to go around for 8b
      – therefore we must shed absolute numbers, while changing the make up of the remainder along with implementing controls
      – in the meantime, it’s imperative to grab as much for your side before we settle into the long mid game stalemate

Taking this info together, we can clearly see the two blocks, the demographic changes and the financial/price trajectory

Any reasonably smart person should easily be able to make money in this environment simply be owning real estate in high demand regions

Doing so will give you plenty of time and freedom to check in, check out and relax

Today I looked on Zillow for real estate on Sanibel island, FL. Only one house listed for sale less than a million bucks. Most are in the 2-4 million dollar range. I would imagine that a few fixer-uppers will be showing up in the near future. They will all be rebuilt bigger and better I’m sure. Andrew blew Homestead, FL to smithereens in the ’90’s and now it’s rebuilt with multi-million dollar homes for sale. People never learn.

Sadly, Sanibel may be hit again. After all, hurricanes will become bigger and badder. We had reservations in February for our favorite place on Sanibel, but I doubt it’s still around. It really was a beautiful place. Oh, well, we’ll be back in 2024 if we’re still alive.

          • Jarek October 3, 2022 at 8:26 pm #

That part of Florida doesn’t get hit very often. But Puerto Rico is always getting hit. What madness possessed us to take Puerto Rico as a territory? If people want to live there, they should live in huts or shacks that are easily rebuilt.

Government building can be stone or brick to be able to stand against the winds. The rich can live in such buildings too of course. Nothing in between. No middle class “houses”.

          • Blackbird October 4, 2022 at 11:53 am #

“That part of Florida doesn’t get hit very often.”

Jars, take a look at any map of historical hurricane tracks, or a map of hurricane strikes by county. Lee County Florida (where Sanibel Island is) takes direct hits regularly, as well as glancing blows even more frequently. South Florida is hurricane central in the continental US.

Now if Hurricane Ian had wrenched Sanibel loose and flung it up into, say, Duval County, from that point on, you’d be right. Northeast Florida doesn’t get hit (direct hits, that is) very often.

          • Jarek October 4, 2022 at 6:37 pm #

The west coast of Florida hasn’t been hit hard in decades. You’re thinking of the east coast perhaps. Or the south coast and Keys.

          • Blackbird October 5, 2022 at 7:11 pm #

“The west coast of Florida hasn’t been hit hard in decades.”

Hurricane Charley, Landfall Cayo Costa, FL, August 13, 2004.

Hurricane Francis, Landfall Hutchinson Island, Florida, September 5, 2004. Punched out near Homosassa Springs, punched back in near Crawfordsville.

Hurricane Ivan, Landfall Gulf Shores, Alabama, September 16, 2004. Cruised up to VA, rolled back down to FL, punched back in near Miami, punched back out near Fort Myers.

Hurricane Jeanne, Landfall Hutchinson Island, Florida, September 26, 2004. Punched out near New Port Richie, FL, punched back in south of Perry, FL.

Hurricane Wilma, Landfall Cape Romano, FL, October 24, 2005.

            All above names retired.

The west coast of Florida hasn’t been hit hard in about one and a half decades.

The Gulf of Mexico, due to its relatively isolated, warmer, waters is an incubator of hurricanes, particularly during the early part of the season.

No, I’m thinkin’ west coast Jars.

Right now, I’d say investing in real estate is very poor advice. It has never been a “kick back and relax” investment opportunity.

There are large gentrified, high-rent areas in Kansas City, Missouri, the largest city near me. It’s anybody’s guess how their owners will fare if/when times get tough–or how people will fare in Johnson County, Kansas, the highest of high-rent districts in this area. “The best laid plans of mice and men…,” as the poet says.

O/T slightly, but here is some fine work by Jeffrey A. Tucker, who has taken it upon himself to write the history of what happened to us in 2020.

If only more of my fellow Trump supporters were insistent that the president just cut that crap out, right that very minute, or else!

We had two weeks to fix that 70 seconds, we blew it.

The 70 Seconds that Shook the World

“On March 16, 2020, following a long weekend of negotiations and deals about the coronavirus, Donald Trump, Deborah Birx, and Anthony Fauci spoke at a White House press conference for the first time about nationwide lockdowns.

They handed out a sheet of paper – it mostly consisted of conventional health advice – that said in tiny print: “bars, restaurants, food courts, gyms, and other indoor and outdoor venues where groups of people congregate should be closed.”

Shut it all down. Everything. Everyone. As if the whole economy were a nightclub closing early. ”

I thought the lockdowns came from the governors, not the feds.

      • Beryl of Oyl October 3, 2022 at 3:06 pm #

It was the Trump task force that “recommended” the lockdowns, praised the governors that instituted the most draconian (and nutty) ones; it was the Trump task force that gave the governors the notion that the 10th Amendment empowered them to do so.

It was the Trump task force that criticized the first governor to attempt to reopen.

It was the Trump task force that invoked FEMA over a cold virus, and it was the Trump task force that signed not one, not two, but three EOs enabling the governors to continue on their tyrannical path of destruction.

He does not come out of this with clean hands. His covid policies and Biden”s were the same. The only difference being that Biden wanted to make the non-vaccine compulsory.

        • cowbell81 October 3, 2022 at 3:11 pm #

Their lockdowns were nothing but a big sticking pile of horseshit that has since decomposed into fertile soil that will hopefully bring about the coming revolution.

Never forget the “two weeks to flatten the curve” bullshit they fed us. This should be our battle cry, printed on flags and bumper stickers across the land, much like “Remember the Maine,” “Don’t Give Up the Ship,” and “Remember the Alamo”.

        • Night Owl October 3, 2022 at 3:43 pm #

The last point is a pretty major difference, and Trump is on record saying he never would have made the shot compulsory.

Worth noting again is that Trump’s staff was largely comprised of deep state holdovers and employees hired by those holdovers.

There were several individuals invited to Washington to head up or support the response to the Covid Hoax, several of them were blocked or left hanging until they decided to return home.

Fauci appears to have been brought in by Pence.

Trump got railroaded, but those claiming he should have done x,y, or z would have done no better.

Politicians are not going to save anyone. Only the people can right this ship.

    • Islander October 3, 2022 at 8:30 pm #

      Paula,

      I wondered the same thing.
I think some kind of homing device would have had to be planted on the pipelines in order to guide the missiles to them.

But the homing device could have been planted during the Baltops games in the summer. In fact, it might be better to divide the phases of the attack. Remove the means and the actual perps from each other in time.

In fact, it might have been possible to attach multiple homing devices, to provide for more than one attempt to explode the pipelines in case one attempt failed.

Also, a homing device would probably be a lot smaller than an actual mine, and so would more easily escape detection.

Attaching homing devices would also lead to greater flexibility in the timing of the actual attacks. Depending on how events develop.

Like, now, just days before the new Baltic pipeline starts up.

And, just when the Germans were starting to get restive.

      • Not_GeorgeT October 4, 2022 at 7:06 am #

        Reasonable.

Position the device(s) months in advance. Positioning doesn’t require using, though the temptation is so compelling.

So much is scripted months if not years in advance.

This ‘energy to heat Europe’ issue isn’t exactly new. Putin told the Germans, in German, a few years back he wasn’t going to let them freeze.

“just when the Germans were starting to get restive” , it would have been an opportunity to encourage the Germans to put ‘leadership’ back in line with the needs of the country.

I don’t know a lot about pipelines. I would think as part of any repair effort the whole length would need examination for pre-positioned devices .

      • Paula D October 4, 2022 at 3:58 pm #

Well, Islander, that sounds reasonable because I have no idea if it is possible, lol.

But didn’t someone upthread say that the plane used would have had to refuel 3 times, not once?

And there were 3 explosions, not one.

    • ryan1327 October 3, 2022 at 9:56 pm #

Didnt the explosions register on the Richter scale? A big enough bomb/mine/rocket/charge would just need to be close.

Well, James, thanks for that article, though it leaves me somewhat depressed. Only the picture of the “how long” questions lightens the outlook for me somewhat. Thinking of Schwab and company being tracked down and jailed (or worse) and the various NATO nations’ politicians getting the boot is a little comforting.

I’m glad that I’m old and probably won’t have to be around for the aftermath of some of the developments. Living through the pending developments will still be pretty hard, though.

“The dildo of consequence is seldom lubricated.”

Consequences are not fun only for those people who have something nasty to answer for in their thoughts and actions. Otherwise, consequences are the very most fun.

There’s a town in New Mexico named Truth or Consequences. It was named for a 1950s game show. But it’s also named for an eternal truth. You either live by Truth… or you will suffer the Consequences. And these days, there are lots and lots of people in high places that are building up an impressive pile of consequences to come.

“Secretary Blinken is, of course, completely insane.”

“Why oh why is it necessary for the worst among us to always be in positions of leadership?”

This is the norm in democracies and republics. Psychopaths take over and comprise the majority of your “elected” leaders. After a while, your country fails completely due to incompetent and totally unqualified leadership. Monarchies don’t have these problems, but most all US citizens cannot understand this because they bought into the lie that monarchy = tyranny by default. That King George III was a bad man whose primary goal was to damage and exploit the American colonies. This simply wasn’t the truth. As long as people have no knowledge of their own history they will continue to be used and exploited by psychopaths.

Putin talks to God or he thinks he does. Worse, he thinks God talks to him and that is all he requires to pull the forbidden trigger. Killing westerners is a righteous mission. On our team, it is more acceptable to deny there is a God other than ourselves.

As for surviving a glow in the dark war, I doubt few are up to the task. Group effort will be rewarded. Go it alone will not get it done. The old will go first aside from the ones at ground zero. And kiddies. Then the folks on insulin or any other life saving meds. And yeah, there are all sorts of good novels on the subject. It’s just that reality really does suck. Disease will take out most. Starvation. And just giving up will do it.

I wish I lived in swamp lands. Plenty of food. Mountains have plenty of cold. Also exhaustion. You have to have a certain amount of calories or else. Or else will rule.

I’m seeing renewed allegiance to the CV19 myth here locally. Mask use is up and social distancing is again a thing, in spite of no mandates to do so. People seem to have embraced it all willingly.

      • JohnAZ October 3, 2022 at 7:04 pm #

        Dis

Covid is a joke now, a virus that has been downgraded from novel to two years old with herd immunity finally stopping the intensity of the disease. The Vaxx is a joke too, causing more problems than not. Trump was promised a miracle cure by the mRNA folks and Pence’s group and he got nothing. I keep hearing about the millions of saved lives by the Vaxx , but reality is it may have lessened the intensity of the disease. Maybe? Maybe it was the variant changes that lessened the affect? We will never know what would have happened if the Vaxx had never been brought on the scene. The creation of variants could be attributed to survival of the virus from the Vaxx. We may have actually extended Covid’s run.

I was sitting across from a person in casual conversation who was backlit by the sun. The droplets she was spitting out were traveling three feet from her. Just talking.

My feelings about the mask is mixed. Everyday use of the mask, especially as a protectant is a joke. Viruses go right through and around. However, if a person is infected with anything, Covid, flu, or just a cold, the prevention of droplet transmission is a plus. You got the crud, #1 stay home, #2 wear a mask is public.

By public, somewhere that six foot distance cannot be maintained. Distancing is a good thing in an unknown crowd. Avoid crowds. I believe that crowds, close contact, is the number one cause of the spread of all “germs”.

But number one is, know who you are socializing with, stay away from the bugs.

        • Disaffected October 3, 2022 at 7:12 pm #

It might be a joke to us, but just visit any local hospital and you’ll find it’s as dead serious as ever. In local market prescription line today people were distancing 9′ easily (I always make it a rule to violate their distances, cozying up as tight as I can get) and mask use was the rule, not the exception. No racial commentary implied, but the Chinese and Japanese up here (and we have A LOT of them!) seem to be especially susceptible to the CV-19 messaging. You won’t find a one without a mask. NOT ONE!

          • beantownbill. October 3, 2022 at 10:33 pm #

It’s funny, I live in an extremely dem state, but hardly anyone uses masks, except that the hospitals require them. Go out in public and you don’t see too many maskees.

More anecdotes after recent visit to Christus St Vincent in SF, the local regional hospital.

          – Met at front door by Armed Security Guard to give me the once over and remind me in no uncertain terms that in this facility you WILL wear a mask.

          – Three steps in the door met by a full airport security team. Bag on the belt to be scanned plus walk through scanner. Bag alerted on cell phone, so had to empty bag like a common criminal.

          – Had to declare my business after that and wait for volunteer to escort me to my next stop – billing of course. Escort waited until I was cleared to proceed to cardiology for stress test, then escorted me up there.

          – Same routine afterward, except they let me go at the elevators within sight of the exit doors.

          – Armed Security Guards were everywhere (most of all the cafeteria – LOL!) patrolling the hallways. If you wanted a fully militarized police state, good news! We now have one, even for medical shit!

I should add to be fair, all of this was done under the guise of “convenience and hospitality” and all of the people I interacted with were quite friendly and helpful. All the same, this is the new face of fascism, which of course is “kinder and gentler” now since the last time it came around, which makes it all the harder to recognize. But make no mistake about it, this is fascism behind all the pretty makeup.

I was also astonished at the amount of money that was flowing through this place. Not a manual door to be found anywhere – EVERYTHING was power operated, whether you liked it or not. Also construction everywhere, including an entire new wing (medically induced terminations?), in a hospital that is already huge by any standards. Plus “safe space” placards and flat screen messaging everywhere, when I felt anything BUT safe in the midst of all this shit. Nazi Germany would have been proud at how well America has improved on their little experiment way back when.

          • Not_GeorgeT October 4, 2022 at 7:40 am #

All that security and tampering with personal items. And the control!

Kinda makes one want to visit a hospital.

Healthcare in the US mostly sold out for the money. Private practices are a small %, most physicians are hospital employees. Hospital administration, predominately non-medical people, practice (dictate) medical care.

Such a system needs a complete deconstruct and replace operation.

I still remember 60’s – 70’s pitcher Jim Bouton’s account of Seattle Pilot’s coach at the time Joe Schultz’s use of shitfuck and fuckshit:

The Pilots’ year of existence was immortalized in Ball Four, the best-selling, controversial memoir of the 1969 season by Seattle pitcher Jim Bouton that was published in 1970. Bouton tells humorous anecdotes about Schultz and some of the motivational speeches he gave to the Pilots. According to Bouton, Schultz’s speeches were heavily laced with profanity, even with some original curses (his favorites being the seemingly interchangeable and used for all occasions: “shitfuck” and “fuckshit”). The author claims that Schultz was well liked by his team, but some of his choices were questioned by the players. In a later anthology on managers Bouton edited, I Managed Good, But Boy Did They Play Bad, Bouton noted Schultz’s sense of humor and added that, given the circumstances of the last-place team, “I couldn’t have had a better manager than Joe Schultz.”

          ok submit, whatever.

let me ask this: is it too late to reject the Unipolar Order and the imposition of an Anglo-American neo Imperialist World Order in which western elites impose a model that is collapsing, on the rest of the world?

This Unipolar Order seeks to end the 1648 treaty of Westphalia that guarantees the soveriegn nation state economic system and instead seeks to impose a Satanic, tyrannical neo-feudalist/neo Imperialist system colloquially called the New World Order. I would like James Kunstler to write about that.

Kunstler and others say perhaps it’s not too late, but this Unipolar Order, aka Rules-Based Order (New World Order) has been in the planning stages for more than decades, at least since the dawn of the 20th century when the British Monarchy began to break up any western European financial alliances with Russia and Asia threatened the British Monarchy’s very existence, is NOW well into the execution phase.

It’s the British who are the enemy of the American Republic- the British have despised the Republic from day one, referring to it as its “dumb giant”.

Who is going to act against this international injustice?

Curious, since you brought up ‘black swan’ do you think the concept is over-rated, under-rated or somewhere in between?

For instance, JITS is considered by some (count me in) as ripe for a black swan event. I view it as teetering on the edge of a cliff. It (JITS) has reached obsolescence in my view given energy and supply chain disruptions.

It’s a more general curiosity with JITS but one example.

Solar cycle 25 should prove to be an interesting one (I’ve called that one for the past couple years), as well as the Betelgeuse hiccup in early 2020, sars cov 2 reaching pandemic level and eventual precipice of world War 3. It still doesn’t look pretty. Consider investing in gold and uranium. Difficult to tell but crypto may become a “relic” eventually. On a more esoteric note, be on the lookout for increased UAP activity.

    Further comment on real estate:

On top of the RE pyramid, just below banks, is the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Any brokerage firm and their agents must belong if they want to succeed. Me being me, back when I started my company in the ‘90’s, I didn’t belong to the NAR. I was doing all right, but after a while, I started to lose out on getting listings. I learned not being a Realtor wasn’t a good thing after a few sellers told me they were going with other agents because I wasn’t on our local Multiple Listing Service (MLS). One would have to be a Realtor to join. So I did and my problem went away. It costs me $400 per year for each of my agents, plus we have to take continuing ed classes.

Despite some specific laws having gone into effect, NAR is still a de facto monopoly. Although any agent or company isn’t forced to join, the public has been brainwashed to the point that sellers and buyers think only Realtors can sell a property competently, as my own experience has shown.

My next comment will be about MLS.

    • Disaffected October 3, 2022 at 7:28 pm #

And yet, selling by owner to buyer directly is shockingly easy to do. I’ve done it twice now, and there was nothing to it at all. The bank and the title company do almost all the work for you. So I’m sure it will be soon outlawed, if it isn’t already.

      • beantownbill. October 3, 2022 at 10:27 pm #

It’s true you don’t absolutely need an agent, but I’ve bought and sold my own stuff both ways. It is not easy doing it yourself. The issue is that all it takes is one screwup and not only can you lose all your money and have to go into debt, your life will be miserable. Most deals work out ok, but not having a COMPETENT agent (or attorney) is taking an unneccessary risk – there are no second chances. I could tell you stories…

        And it’s not because I’m a broker.

        • Soul Forensics October 4, 2022 at 2:02 am #

Hiring a building inspector is orders of magnitude cheaper than hiring an agent, as well as being more valuable.

          • Not_GeorgeT October 4, 2022 at 8:03 am #

            Hiring an inspector is base-covering.

I’ve always done my own inspections. The hired inspector quality control is an issue. However, the written report generated is a bargaining tool.

Knowing an inspection is in the works can prompt rectification of some deficiencies before they become issues.

A knowledgeable, competent inspector is an asset. Finding one with these attributes can take time.

          • beantownbill. October 4, 2022 at 12:29 pm #

            @sf:

Lol. While hiring a building inspector is indeed one order of magnitude cheaper than hiring a broker, there’re many other factors to be concerned about, such as title issues, lender issues, lying sellers, contract issues, municipality and state issues, tax issues, overpaying, neighbors, transportation, school systems, crime and more. Sure, you could do the work yourself, but it would require many hours of work. And in my experience, many home inspectors have missed some physical flaws in the property – happens a lot. One example is that our complex has heat pumps. A lot of inspectors don’t know how to operate them effectively. I’ve had to often correct their misinformation. It’s not that inspectors are bad, just that relying on them exclusively is not wise.

          • Soul Forensics October 4, 2022 at 1:41 pm #

“the written report generated is a bargaining tool.” — NotGeorge

            Yes indeed.

And that has a ton of value. It’s not just Joe Schmo without an engineering degree trying to bluff a lower price. A good inspector’s 12 page detailed report holds a lot of weight.

            to Beantown:

In the city I lived in for 50 years, the average selling price is now over $1 million. Can you, without blushing or choking of shame, tell me that a realtor who does about 4 hours of work to sell it (homes, during the biggest booms, are competed for by multiple potential buyers, often going over the asking price) should get 70K for their puny efforts?

If you don’t bat an eye, then you’re an evil unrestrained capitalist fuck, no different than our banker overlords.

My experience is that the mechanical inspection is a pure farce. I think about the only thing they do is flip light switches. Immediately after moving into one house, the gas company refused to turn on the gas because there was no pop-off valve on the water heater. There was also a gas leak at the meter, which was in the basement, due to the former residents tampering with it.

ecent Nord Stream pipeline ruptures were likely acts of Russian sabotage, according to experts.
Andrea Kendall-Taylor, a former senior intelligence officer, told Insider such sabotage is likely to continue.
The more “degraded” Russia’s military is, the more likely it is to use non-conventional tools, Kendall-Taylor said.
There’s been a lot of finger pointing in the wake of several ecologically damaging gas leaks that abruptly sprang last week in the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines running from Russia to Europe.

Western leaders and officials, including President Joe Biden and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, have suggested the ruptures were a product of sabotage. Sweden, Denmark, and Germany have all opened investigations into the leaks, which scientists said were likely induced by underwater explosions so large they were detected on the Richter scale. Meanwhile, Moscow baselessly accused the US of being behind the pipeline leaks — an allegation the Biden administration swiftly rejected.

For those who think Putin isn’t in on the reset agenda, he’s just made ‘vaccination’ mandatory for 300,000 mobilised citizens. Ten years in clink for evading mobilisation and ‘vaccination’.

    edwardslavsquat.substack.com/p/russia-begins-vaccinating-mobilized

You would think that Russia would not choose to destroy its fighting forces, even its ‘mobilised citizens’, but since everyone not living under a Russian rock knows these drugs do not prevent transmission or infection (the claimed purpose of this ‘vaccine’ drive) and Russians are pretty knowledgeable about the vaxxes or at least sceptical about them, that would not seem to be the case.

The Russian Sputnik V jab uses an adenovirus technique similar to the Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca jabs.

This type grafts the Cv19 spike protein into a ‘harmless’ virus carrier.

This carrier then enters human cells with the Cv19 spike. The spike somehow then tells the human cells to produce more Cv19 spikes that in turn produce an antibody response from the immune system.

Essentially these jabs are using the Cv19 spike in place of the mRNA in Pfizer & Moderna.

It also raises the question why the J&J and AZ jabs have been depreciated in the West versus the mRNA jabs.

What is the true reason they need to inject as many people as possible with mRNA?

          • GreenAlba October 4, 2022 at 5:48 am #

People are ‘dying suddenly’ in Russia as well. Mark Crispin Miller includes them in his weekly list.

Thanks for those bits about Russia, I had forgotten them.

I wonder if the mRNA is their preferred vector to assault the immune system because it seems to cause all manner of bizarre and severe ailments, making it easier for them to cover up the cause.

          • Paula D October 4, 2022 at 12:17 pm #

The J&J and AZ jabs use DNA instead of mRNA.

I don’t see that that is an improvement.

It was everything and anything they needed it to be.

Because it was The Big Lie — updated for 2020-2022, ofc.

Many dimwits still have not figured it out. We have a few on this site, too.

          • GreenAlba October 5, 2022 at 4:43 am #

You are right, Paula, it makes no difference at all, except from a manufacturing/logistical point of view, as DNA is more robust than mRNA, hence the supposed need for the mRNA products to be kept at an extremely low temperature, which wasn’t necessary for the DNA version. Having said that, we don’t hear anything about deep-frozen vaxxes any more – are they still being transported and kept like that?

That’s why they claimed AZ was more suitable for less developed countries (which also tend to be hotter).

No matter how patently ludicrous the premise is on its face.

30 years ago I was telling people that writing a thousand new laws , hiring a thousand more police , and throwing millions dollars at crime would have as its only result that things would get worse.

Things have gotten a hundred times worse than I imagined.

So I was a 20 year old genius?

Details to follow. Observers and participants will of course need to be fully vaccinated, wearing full hazmat suits with respirators, as well as being officially chip licensed by the CDC and WHO to appear in public outside their assigned FEMA Camp. Violators will be terminated on sight and their “property” (as it were) seized for Ukrainian refugees – no exceptions. Details on all that to follow as well.

    Hi JHK Admin,
    1. No evidence presented for the Tom Clancy thriller you put together for the destruction of Nordstrom pipelines. Still, I liked it as a story. You still cannot explain why the US needed to do this given that Europe was on board with sanctions. And that being found out would be catastrophic for NATO and the US Alliance with Europe. You want to paint Biden as a buddy daddy, but you then go full Trump with this story. Could you please make up your mind? You believe that Europeans are very soft–and that they cannot deal with hardship. Well, Ukrainians are European. I guess they have proved you wrong before, and they will keep doing it…

“Meanwhile, the US-led propaganda campaign has Russia utterly on-the-ropes against a raging and triumphant Ukraine army. Nothing could be further from the truth. Russia made a few tactical retreats the past month in preparation for a final systematic and methodical mopping-up of the remaining Ukraine army. Russia is bringing in Iskander hypersonic missiles, not necessarily nuclear-armed, and will assemble Russian army regulars to replace the mash-up of Donbas militia volunteers who have borne the brunt on the thinly defended line leading to the much talked-about tactical retreat around the Kharkov-Izium-Lyman front.”

You probably missed the Russian millbloggers Putin is trying to court in his bid to shore up public support in Russia and a Chechen war lord, saying the same thing and MORE as the “US propaganda effort”. When you are getting both sides corroborating a story, there is a better than even chance that your view of things is wrong. New regulars? Where from? Elements of the 144th Motorized Rifle Division ran away from Lyman–an elite unit of Russian conventional arms. Russian forces have been heavily degraded–which, by the way, should not be happening if the Russian Army has suffered only 5000 dead. Will you give up that claim? What would it take for you to think, “hmmm…. the Russians are in trouble”? If Kherson falls, will you call this a “clever tactical withdrawal to lure the Ukrainians into a cauldron of hypersonic missile fire that will darken the skies”? Or would you admit the Russians are in fighting a creditable, determined, and skilled foe that is taking the battle to them in really uncomfortable ways? Is there anything that could happen that would allow you to change your mind? More likely than the scenario you offer, Russia–out of desperation–will launch a number of tactical nuclear warheads to “reset the battlefield.” Is that the act of a vaunted Russian military? I don’t think so.

Are hypersonic missiles with conventional payloads the decisive game changer you think they will be? I don’t know. How many do the Russians have? Another autocrat and fascist thought that a V-2 rocket would turn the tide of war at a different time in history. Maybe this time, the Russian autocrat will fare better…

After all, I am guessing that you like JHK Admin’s palantir prognostications better. Why is that, KesaAnna? After all, if Vlad Putin says that using nukes are an option, what is it you don’t like about the “more likely” claim I made? And, I think Vlad Putin is someone people should fear–he has a lot of big big missiles. And a group of people behind him who might not be willing to stop him if he decides to use those big big missiles… Or are you saying that Vlad won’t use those missiles? Questions, questions, questions…

      HE

I appreciate the way you always start your contribution with a logical rational critique of JHK Admin’s semi-weekly essay.

However, the Admin has a pretty poor success ratio on its prognostications…Biden wasn’t supposed to survive the summer of 2021 for a relatively recent example (‘…will be gone by Labor Day…’) among many many others.

So, I would suggest you don’t hold your breath: Is there anything that could happen that would allow you to change your mind?

      • hustled enough October 5, 2022 at 12:30 am #

        Hi Redneck Liberal,
Thank you. I agree with you–JHK Admin has a very poor success ratio with his predictions. I don’t think he is overall wrong with the trajectory–over long time (case in point–climate refugees–he mentioned them in his fictional books); I agree and think that we are in a slow moving train wreck, but the need to be always calling THIS time as THE BEGINNING (or MIDDLE) OF THE END is a bit tiring. And what I find interesting is that there never appears to be an updating of the model that JHK Admin has of the world and what happens in it. The Russian mess is a case in point. I am reminded of the quote attributed to JM Keynes: “When the facts change, I change my mind – what do you do, sir?” JHK Admin’s approach is to double down, even if that doubling down doesn’t appear to make much sense when examining the evidence by using such heuristics as corroboration, sourcing, contextualisation, and an absence of relevant information.

Ultimately, I don’t think that there is any evidence that would convince JHK Admin to update his model in a way that modified deeply held beliefs.

” You probably missed the Russian millbloggers….. ”

    Dunno about Kunstler .

But , lol , once again I didn’t, and don’t, have to monitor Russian propaganda.

I’ve had 40 years of Americans bragging that they were willing to go Nuclear over Cuba.

Never mind that the Russians had more sense than to go nuclear over Cuba ,

especially since they were already in the process of building a sub base in Cuba , about which the Americans said nothing , which in five years would give us the equivalent in sea – based platforms the equivalent of the fixed land based platforms the Americans were pissing themselves over.

40 years of bragging about acting like psycho hysterical pussies over an irrelevancy.

Even McNamara said it was dumb shit.

Again , I got that from American , not Russian, propaganda.

    • hustled enough October 4, 2022 at 4:39 pm #

      Hi KesaAnna,
It is a sad fact that the US is the only nation to have dropped nuclear devices that killed many people. I truly hope that the Russians do not join the US in that currently exclusive club of one. Fingers crossed that you are right about Russian reticence.

  60. KesaAnna October 4, 2022 at 12:38 am #

This Russian propagandist asks no American to take my word for it .

Instead , I invite any American to read a 20th Century history —

( I won’t even recommend any particular titles , in case anyone thinks I’m attempting to slant things my way )

    — of Gautamala , El Salvador , Zaire , Haiti , or Iran .

After that , come tell me if you think the leopard has miraculously changed its spots and is up to good in Ukraine, that the U.S. Governments heart bleeds for Ukrainian’s.

And if Putin is an autocrat , if he holds a candle to the monstrous autocrats in Washington .

    • SoftStarLight October 4, 2022 at 2:46 am #

I’m not seeing Volodomyr Zelensky mentioned herein but it should be noted that he is an autocrat and appears to be monstrous as well. Additionally, some individuals though likely few in number in the US gov do literally have bleeding hearts for Ukraine. Familial connections, etc. Toria Nuland is a perfect example. They may think they are doing something good for Ukraine. I struggle with that even. Its probably just job security and paying off donors and lobbyists.

      ”Dmitry Medvedev on Telegram

“Today I spoke via videoconferencing with Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega.
The conversation touched upon the political interaction of our countries and inter-party cooperation.

      But here’s what I remember…
Almost 39 years ago, on October 11, 1983, the United States raided an oil storage facility in the Nicaraguan port of Corinto, where they blew up 5 oil storage facilities that stored most of the country’s oil reserves.
Three days later, on October 14, an underwater pipeline was blown up in the port of Puerto Sandino.
And in January – March 1984, the waters of three Nicaraguan ports, Corinto, El Bluff and Puerto Sandino, were mined by US forces.”

    • hustled enough October 4, 2022 at 4:45 pm #

      Hi KesaAnna,
You raise valid points about US complicity in regime change and military action in its own sphere of influence (and elsewhere, I might add)–from the 19th century till today. And yes, even if that is true, that still won’t absolve an autocratic Putin of the responsibility for a full scale war against a sovereign nation, right now. At least, in this country–for the moment, I can protest the unlawful actions of the US government. You are not allowed to do that in Russia.

  61. KesaAnna October 4, 2022 at 1:16 am #

    • hustled enough October 4, 2022 at 5:34 pm #

Thank you for your ongoing critique of my post. I appreciate it.
I am unsure what the point of what you are saying here is supposed to be.

If you are saying that America has its fair share of things that it should not be proud of–such as schools that look like prisons (and that is no accident by the way…) than yes, I agree with you. But what does that have to do with asking JHK Admin, “What would it take for you to think, “hmmm…. the Russians are in trouble”?”

“The Danish army is laying siege to the Kremlin ?”

Sure, I guess, though why the Danes would do something like that is beyond me. If this is your answer to the question, then I surmise that your faith is very strong in Russia’s capabilities. I don’t think there is anything that would shake your faith in the righteousness and eventual success of the Russian cause.

I have yet to see an American school that resembles a prison.

No German school I have seen resembles a prison either, rather they resemble an abandoned school that no one had any interest in keeping up.

Because the U.S. and NATO armies have gotten that fucking bad.

    • hustled enough October 4, 2022 at 7:30 pm #

      Hi KesaAnna,
It depends on whether the main reason you are fighting is for is the money or not. If money is the main goal, than yes, they are mercenaries in the true meaning of that word. If they joined because they hate what the Russians are doing and are there to support Ukrainian freedom and they then get paid (to help with upkeep, etc) when they are there, then no, they aren’t mercenaries in the strict sense. If that distinction doesn’t matter to you, then you would need to explain why we shouldn’t think of a nation’s defence force as mercenaries, because they too are being paid, and many of them may be in the army because of the pay and benefits, not for any other reason. Do you think that the International brigades in the Spanish Civil War were mercenaries? What is your intuition of the distinction I offer you?

      • Anthea October 4, 2022 at 10:10 pm #

        @ hustled enough:

If you want professional soldiers, you hire mercenaries, and my impression is that you must pay them very well indeed. Enlisted men and volunteers for “the cause” (if such actually exist), not so much. There is a very great distinction there.

        • hustled enough October 5, 2022 at 12:14 am #

          Hi Anthea,
Yes–the pay is the question–why do you fight? For the money or for the cause?

    • Anthea October 4, 2022 at 10:02 pm #

We’d have a fair idea of who they are if we knew who was paying them. Perhaps I should check the ads in Soldier of Fortune magazine.

      • Paula D October 5, 2022 at 10:55 am #

We know it’s the collective ”west”, which as usual is mostly the USA.

According the the Russian MoD most of the mercenaries come from Poland, but I have seen frontline video of American English speakers yelling in English.
There are also Brits, as we know from the captured mercenaries they just released.
Also Syrians (read: ISIS) and Colombians.

In Syria there were mercenaries from 80 countries, they tell us. I have no doubt there are the same in Ukraine. Probably some of them are the same. They rotate these bad dudes around.

    • Woodchuck October 4, 2022 at 10:42 am #

If indoor residential heating becomes unavailable for many Germans this winter, there might be some breathing issues. Imagine that indoor plumbing must be turned off due to freezing pipes. So where do Germans poop? Indoors or outdoors? let’s say it’s just barely below freezing indoors and the electric power has been turned off temporarily in brownout. And it’s much – much colder outside. Go outside with your bare butt sitting on and pooping in a bucket? Or poop indoors in a bucket? If you don’t have what it takes to poop outside when it’s in serious subfreezing temps, then the indoor bucket pooping routine is most certainly going to affect your breathing in an indirect way. While sitting there surrounded by a cloud of their own stench, Germans everywhere will be proud that they are doing their part to save democracy in Ukraine.
