The Arrest of Robespierre, The Night of the 9th to 10th Thermidor, Year Two, 27th July 1794
What’s most amazing about the fiasco that was the French Revolution is that it happened at exactly the same time that the United States successfully organized themselves into an orderly and effective government following the American Revolution. George Washington was elected and sworn-in by April of 1789, with the backing of an exemplary constitution assembled by the best minds in the land. The Bastille fell in July that same year. France then fell into a years’ long orgy of beheading and chaos that went nowhere until 1799 when an artillery officer named Bonaparte put an end to it by sheer force of personality.
Of course, France had assisted America in concluding our revolt against King George — surely you remember the Marquis de Lafayette from your high school history class (or has he been replaced by George Floyd?). There were plenty of Frenchmen still on the American scene during the years following the British surrender at Yorktown in the fall of 1781. Some of them must have kept tabs on the Constitutional Convention, May to September, 1787, out of which came our blueprint for managing national affairs, and not a few of these Frenchmen were active in their own revolution which kicked off two years later.
By the way, Thomas Jefferson was in Paris from 1784 until autumn of 1789, months after the Bastille fell. He succeeded Ben Franklin as minister there to negotiate trade agreements (Ben went to London as ambassador). John Adams was also on-the-scene in Paris as our ambassador there when Jefferson arrived. These Americans met daily and chatted endlessly with France’s political players. The American Articles of Confederation were in effect then, to be replaced by the improved US Constitution in 1787. The people of France, including the various elites involved in public life, royal, haut bourgeoise, lawyers and generals, might have taken a lesson from the American experience of how to successfully come out of a political tribulation. Alas, they simply could not get their shit together.
Rewind a little to 1793 in Paris, the revolution in full swing: King Louis XVI went to the guillotine in January. The National Convention had replaced the National Assembly as the furnace of political action. The radical Jacobin faction, led by Robespierre and Saint-Just, coalesced into a power-seizing majority there. They took their name from a political club founded by anti-royalists, but their platform became increasingly extreme as the revolution lurched toward pandemonium.
During their year in power, the Jacobins turned the life of the nation upside down in their zealous quest to create a perfectly equitable society. They abolished the church (and replaced it with their own “cult of the supreme being”). They changed the week from seven days to ten days, they changed the names of all the months of the calendar. (1792 was denoted “the Year One.”) They put in price and wage controls while churning out money (paper assignats) which triggered (voila) monetary inflation! They confiscated grain from farmers all over the country. They condemned thousands (estimate: 20,000 to 40,000) of political enemies to the guillotine in their “Reign of Terror.” In short, the Jacobins made a bloody mess of things and pissed-off a lot of their countrymen.
By the summer of 1794 (in their renamed month of Thermidor), everybody else finally had enough of the Jacobin nightmare. On July 27, Robespierre was at the rostrum once again denouncing his enemies and crying for blood when the out-group members present started throwing food at him and shouting him down. That was the magic moment when everything flipped — the shock of recognition that the Jacobins had lost power. Just like that! The chamber fell into a melee, a lot of shoving and shouting. . . Robespierre and his cronies were chased across town to the city hall (Hôtel de Ville) and barricaded themselves inside. The mob broke through and arrested them. Somewhere in the confusion a policeman shot Robespierre in the face, shattering his jaw (no more speeches for you!). . . and the very next day, Robespierre, Saint-Just, and twenty of their associates had their appointment with “the national razor.”
This event became known as the Thermidorian Reaction. The insane Jacobin program of terror and social derangement was swiftly abolished. Nothing like it was seen again until the Bolsheviks, the Maoists and the Khmer Rouge came along in the 20th century, and now, in our time, The Party of Chaos as led by “Joe Biden” (or whoever and whatever is behind him), with their open border, their lust for another world war, their drive for censorship, their sadistic lawfare, their race and sex hustles, their compulsive lying, and their sick destruction of every norm and boundary in daily life.
America is headed for its own Thermidorian Reaction. It’ll end up being called something else, of course, because it is a different time, place, and set of circumstances. But it feels close, doesn’t it? Everybody I know or correspond with mentions this feeling that something is going to blow in our country, and pretty soon. The air is alive with it, just as the air is alive with portents of spring. Are you waiting for it?

One category worth considering – extraterrestrial disclosure. The Right People lied so much about UFOs, they had to make up a new name, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP), to seed the feed and make hay with the narrative again.

I created this list because I felt that those who don’t follow politics closely (and especially those who lean left) do not understand the incredible amount of “disinformation” that has already been disproven. WE read about this stuff weekly here on CFN….others NEVER see it. Many of the items on the list are getting revised frequently when new information becomes available.
With the coming election on the horizon, I wanted a way to share what many of us consider to be the truth with those on the other side who have enough of an open mind to look at facts and base their vote on reason and not on some emotional appeal they see on social media.

How is that controversial? In your anarchist town, can people piss or wash their clothes in the water supply? Or drive on either side of the road they fancy? No laws or even mutual agreements?
Sensible societies may piss and wash their clothes from the water supply whereas less sensible societies will wash their clothes and piss in it.
I am being metaphoric here, too, insofar as those former societies may last a bit longer, with part of the point being who will determine who makes and follows its laws and who doesn’t…
And will a society that is more anarchic– therefore, perhaps making more sense– be the one that lasts longer.

With 10 million, and growing, illegal invaders here, and their home countries now refusing to take them back, we may look more like the French Revolution than we care to. Already the invaders are taking over cities and calling for more welfare and booty from our citizens. The murders so far are few, but the crimes are many from organized gangs of illegals, especially from Venezuela, who will not allow any to be sent back. The Biden regime will not protect us from what they have deliberately caused, rather, they will likely prosecute us for self-defense should it become necessary, which is very likely. My reply, as always is, better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6, unless you are tried in D hellholes like NY and DC. Lock and load to stay safe!

It used to be illegal to hire an illegal. Maybe it still is and nobody’s enforcing that law. Now we are issuing phones and pre-paid debit cards with astronomical limits to any criminal who can make it to the border. So many border town mayors and sheriffs are on the cartel payroll…
Bobby Kennedy is right about the need to close our military bases in foreign countries and bring the troops home to guard our country. That would be a huge step toward balancing our national budget. RFK JR does not have the testicular fortitude to deport all the tens of millions of aliens from every country let in by the ‘merkin Jacobins but imagine if he did…US active duty troops stationed on the southern and northern borders. The US declares Mexican land within 100 miles of our southern border to be a protectorate and backs up the declaration with active duty – not national guard – troops. Mexicans are hired to cultivate the land within that 100 mile zone and produce…produce! Those Mexicans who want to immigrate to the US must work productively in those fields for a period of time and earn the right to a job interview in the US. If they are hired, they get in.
The cartels would be out of business. The flow of fentanyl would cease. We would have more fresh food and no illegals on our welfare or voter rolls.

Your imagination is vivid because it lacks a concept of political power. The “border crisis” is not accidental. It is the product of a group of people who’s goal is to destroy the remaining cultural entity that used to be called the United States of America.
The solution to the border crisis is relatively simple. (as is the fentanyl crisis and the homeless crisis) The USA has the Means. What is lacking is the Will and the Power in the hands of the People.
The immigration Flood has two main streams. For most “migrants” it represents a normal human desire to escape an impossible future for them and their family, no matter the risk. Once the gates to the border were understood to be thrown wide open the psychology of the Flood built and built, overwhelming any reasonable expectation of a future.
The second stream is more diabolical. Young military trained men— most from China, but also from conflict areas in the Middle East and probably Ukraine utilize planned transit networks and “hotels” along the way to arrive at the US border and walk across at their leisure. Since they disappear into the USA upon arrival, it is logical to assume that they are intended as sleeper cells designed to be deployed at the most opportune time.
What might be their mission? A number of years ago I was driving out to hike the Washington North Cascades. I stopped to eat lunch at a viewpoint overlooking Grand Coulee Dam. Leading from the largest hydroelectric plant in the USA was a maze of power lines converging upon a transformer array. Guarded by a single chain link fence with no guard on duty. At the farm town 15 miles distant one could purchase enough fertilizer to build a bomb that would destroy the entire electrical grid for the Pacific Northwest. The transformers are all custom built using parts from Europe and China. The turn around time for replacement is measured in months if not years. A dozen coordinated attacks on similar transformer stations around the country would paralyze the electrical system of North America and turn the entire continent into a world made by hand.
Best not to think about it—-. The Covid Pandemic of Fear was good training for that mind set.
I found it amusing that a pack of Iraqi freeloaders up and decided that, well, life in prosperous Finland was not quite as appealing as advertised by the snakeheads who they paid to shuttle them there. Darkness, intense cold, drippy days for much of the year, a stolid, tough population, a near-impossible language for a foreigner to master (also useless anywhere else) and a generally unwelcome attitude conspired to make them change their minds. “Hell, even Iraq could not be any worse than this.”
Too bad the same cannot be said about pleasant, comfy France, Italy and Spain. At least where the invaders like to cluster.

Here’s how you remove 20 millions illegal aliens–or, more accurately, force them to deport themselves:
By Legislative and Executive action, make the illegal aliens ineligible for any taxpayer-supported service, make it illegal–with hefty jail time and monetary fines–for anyone (including government employees or officials) to aid, abet, employ, house, or provide sanctuary to an illegal alien.
Illegal aliens are just like cockroaches. The first step to getting rid of them is to deny them entry in the first place, then for those already here, deny them shelter, deny them food to eat, and deny them any way to live off of the resources of others. Do that, and most of them will leave on their own initiative. Then physically deport the small minority that won’t leave on their own. The illegals would be gone in a few months.
So right you are but you are thinking with common sense. This doesn’t exist in anymore in American government and most of the people it governs.

I agree. It wouldn’t be that hard. If your business hires an illegal and it is discovered, you forfeit it. If you are a homeowner and you knowingly hire an illegal then you lose your home.
The problem solves itself in a manner of months.
Several years ago I requested 3 quotes to roof my house. Two local companies for $12,000 and one with a Puerto Rican salesman, for $9,200. I asked the salesman if all the workers were legal and if he could prove it. He replied all our workers have legal papers. I asked again, I realize they have identification but do they have green cards to work in the US? He gave me a number to call who said all of their employees were legal. When they showed up to work, 8 Mexicans got out of a White Suburban from Brownsville Texas, did a good job, and were gone without a trace in one day. Extirpating illegal work is doable but not easy. And as for hiring, It is easy to tell illegal workers in an interview. And a $10,000 fine would make it unlikely that it ever happened.
Sounds reasonable…to someone who has never run a small business and had to hire people. They AlLL have ID including SSN that seems legit. How is the small business person supposed to know if it’s not?
Seems like a situation ripe for setting up small businesses to be victimized by the corporate state. How so?
Big business can afford all the legal protection they need in the event of such a finding. Small business, not so much (I have been a small business owner for 22+ years, and I avoid corporate clients because they have legal leverage that I do not). A corporate cartel could plant illegals in the ranks of small businesses it want’s to eliminate, then call the cops. Not hard to imagine.

Who the heck do you think did the farm work and mowed the lawns before we were flooded with illegal immigrants? High school boys spent their late summer days bucking hay, and they did farm work for the rest of the summer.
As of right now, I know two large market-gardeners in my area. They are white women. They grow massive amounts of produce: Each has two or three high tunnels and field crops to the horizon. Both have some hired help (who are white people). Both have stores. One is an “honor store,” where there is no one watching the store. (They had to put in security cameras because of some theft.) The other is a regular store with paid (white) employees.
Now that I think of it, there is a third market-gardener in the area. He is a white man who has a store where he sells his own produce and also home-cooked carry-out food–which is some pretty impressive cooking. You have to order ahead to pick up on your way home.
What do you find so undesirable about outdoor work or physically demanding work? Is it your view that the perfect state of human life is to sit motionless, indoors, in a chair? Seriously? You aspire to be inert? Why not just aspire to be dead, if you’d rather not move around?

As for the $30 lettuce, the growers I mentioned (all of them white, with all-white employees) grow and sell lettuce and lots of other produce. They do not charge $30 for a head of lettuce. Their prices for all their produce is competitive with grocery stores.
In addition, many farmers’ market vendors buy produce from the Amish, at the produce auction in Windsor, Missouri. Farmers’ market rules usually allow vendors to sell purchased produce if it is grown within 100 miles of the market’s location.
At the Amish produce auctions, you can buy vegetables of all kinds by the box full. The auctions are run by the Amish, and the produce is grown by the Amish. And guess what? The Amish are white people. And I don’t think they hire any farm labor at all outside their own community.
Low estimate. Very low in my book. Bet it’s closer to 40 million.
And what do you do about the legal immigrants brought in by laws contrary to natural law – and thus illegal in the deeper sense?
It may be difficult to deport them, but it is in no way impossible. It could be done with difficulty and a lot of bloodshed. Better their bloodshed now than American Blood later. Damn the naysayers. They were imported therefore they can be deported. Out just like they came in. Make life so uncomfortable here that they gladly leave, even running away screaming to get away.
These mostly military aged men have been brought here for very evil purposes, after the cartels bribed the Biden mafia with many millions. How else can this ongoing catastrophe be explained, since otherwise it make absolutely no sense. These invaders will be joined by antifa and blm when set loose on the American public by Biden and the Demoncraps, just as antifa and blm were set loose in 2020. With F-16’s being sent Ukraine to fly into Russia and drop bombs on their cities this summer, while the invaders are sent out into the streets and communities, there will be a demand to cancel or postpone the elections. China/cartel Joe cannot win, and NATO is very fearful of a Trump election, as he has plainly stated that he will only support them if they are paid up for their own defense. I repeat my oft-stated advice, lock and load, with training, to stay safe.

If it really is as bad as you say it is, I honestly wish I could have just moved to Romania by now and stayed there, but they are part of Nato, and I honestly want nothing to do with Nato countries.

They don’t, Jim doesn’t realize that back in those days the people weren’t brainwashed or manipulated like they are today. That’s why the French Revolution was so successful.
Nor were they as heavily medicated.
Was it successful? I think Jim’s write up asserts that the ultimate conclusion was successful because the political class ate themselves. The death, chaos, terror, fear, and destruction that ensued for a decade cannot be decried as success.

I mean that it was a success in a sense that the people who caused the shit finally got their asses handed to them. I hate extreme violence but I really wouldn’t care if Obama was walking out to play with one of his little girls and out of nowhere he gets impaled in the throat by some maniac he created himself.
Zhou Enlai (PM of China 1949-1976) was famously asked once, by Henry Kissinger no less, what he thought of the French Revolution…he reputedly answered “it’s too early to say”.

The reason America’s revolution was successful was because they had wealthy statesmen leading them.

. We were hoping to take a trip to Europe later this year, but I have prevailed in cautioning that we should wait until after next Inauguration Day.
Perhaps we will have an inauguration. Perhaps the dollar will still be a functioning currency. Perhaps travel will be permitted without submitting to the latest untested vaccine. Perhaps we won’t need to worry about a mob looting our home while we are away.
But I think we are wise to wait til then, to see if the center will hold – at least a bit longer.

The first thing a seceding state would do is to take over all US military installations within the state. E.g., if Missouri were to secede, it should/must take over Whiteman AFB. I understand that the personnel at military bases are not allowed to be armed, which is a plus. Besides that, I know of a case where one of my former neighbors was busted with weapons stolen from Whiteman, so it sound like their stuff is for sale.
A seceding state should/must also take over all militarized police departments and their armories. (I think most of these would be in the control of the cities.)

1. The advent of the Federal Reserve Bank (enabled the Government to run up massive debts and deficit spending making funding wars all the more easier).
2. The advent of the income tax (the process to amend the constitution was done in the most shady of manners).
3. Elimination of the Senate as a representative of the State, turning it into nothing more than a glorified House of Representatives (this was the death of the states’ rights compromise of the founders and gave unchecked growth to the Federals).

A major factor in France’s condition was its financial situation–which was not good.
While France was instrumental in helping the Colonists (or rebels) defeat the British (the decisive role of the French fleet at Yorktown as well as French aid in general), two decades earlier, France lost the French and Indian War, 1755-63 (Britain, the colonists, and THEIR Indian allies vs France and their Indian allies). France lost Canada as a result.
This was an expensive conflict for both sides. To equip and send armies to the New World to fight. The costs of soldiers, equipment, SHIPS, was huge.
The French were unable to sufficiently address the costs and debts of the war.
I was taught “No taxation without representation”.
However, Britain had just expended millions of pounds and many lives to PROTECT the colonists. HARD money too, not elastic fiat paper money. The new taxes were unpopular in the Colonies and helped lead to a revolt (the American Revolution).
In any case, Britain weathered the economic effects much better than France, it seems.
My understanding is that in the late 1700s, Britain (or perhaps England) had 10 million population, the US 2 million, and France 28 million.
France was likely the richest nation in Europe in terms of production of food and things at that time (though the steam engine was invented in Britain, and would usher the Industrial Revolution of the 1800s).
The point of my little history spiel is that fiscal irresponsibility unraveled France and led to revolution and turmoil.
Once Napoleon imposed “order”, he was able to harness the potential of France, to field a powerful army, which under the leadership of this military genius, dominated Europe (for a while). So France was wealthy–but without fiscal order, the ability to realize wealth potential is compromised.
America has been fiscally irresponsible my whole life (and that is one of SEVERAL elephants in the room), but the debt “curve” is becoming more hyperbolic by the year…
A more enterprising student of history might investigate the Rothschilds’ role in events between France and England during the 18th century.
The MO of central bankers was to get monarchs in debt. The monarch then paid lots of interest to the bankers. If the monarch failed to do so? Well, the bankers could not simply arrest the king, could they? No. But, they could loan the neighboring king money, maybe more money, or on better terms, to build up his army, to attack the delinquent king and defeat him, and take his territory, which could then be taxed to raise the money with which to pay the central bankers.
And when the winning king stepped out of line, then the bankers could throw their support behind another king, perhaps even the delinquent king or his heirs, and repeat the process.
The bankers just became more powerful.

There is a spiritual dimension to this. In the West, that is manifested by the man-made divisions and deviations in Christianity, where even nominal “Christian” denominations hold view that, on closer scrutiny, do not comport with the teachings of Jesus Christ and His apostles. For example, the Eucharist.
Another example: there is a hot war in the Ukraine, of course. But the war has also divided the Orthodox Christians, and as such, weakened the Christian Orthodox Church–which is one of the Devil’s (or the “blob” if you prefer) biggest targets. And that’s why, even though you have several million Christian Orthodox in the US, and quite a few are converts, it’s pretty much painted out of the landscape here. We will hear about Jewish holidays, Muslim holidays, from media and even the corporate home webpage, but not about Pascha (aka “Easter”). That’s why the Turks relentlessly pursued and killed Christians in the Ottoman Empire (culiminating in the 1st genocide of the 20th century, the Armenians), but typically Turks did not harass “Western” Churches or Jews.

As an Air Force brat and student of military thinking, I would suggest that there will be no military intervention until cabals of “young colonels” coalesce and decide to go into action.
Top brass is totally compromised and part of the elite. Soldiers and NCOs do as they are told. It has to be the captains, majors and colonels.
On the plus side, Army lieutenants and sub commanders proved themselves amazingly inventive and improvisational geniuses in the fog of World War II, when a commanding officer was blown up or communications had broken down. This was extremely effective against the rigid-thinking, hierarchy-trapped Japs.

Second, they’d make very ugly examples of a selected few people, and that would be the end of it.
However, and I know I’ve boringly said this repeatedly, if people who do real work withhold their labor, that genuinely would bring things to a head. What if mechanics, electricians, plumbers, farmers, truckers, stockers at the grocery store, simply stopped showing up? Money doesn’t make things operative (especially when it’s fake money) but these people’s services DO make our world work. The truckers who are refusing to deliver to NYC have the right idea, but it needs to be expanded. Teachers staying home and withholding their “labor” would actually make the world a better place, but plumbers not turning up is another matter entirely.
I believe Charles Hugh Smith wrote an article about this some time back, the workers that make the system go round simply not showing up anymore because it no longer pays to do so. I think this is being implemented with regard to the military and police forces.

The French Revolution happened because peasants were starving while the elite lived in luxury. That had been several previous peasant uprisings that failed, this was not a one time thing, it was a series of revolts that got bigger and bigger until one finally worked. Respectfully, I do not see US citizens rising up en masse against their national government any time soon. They live in comfort, and aren’t going to take up arms because it costs more than it used to, to buy groceries, I think that the Texas Border Crisis could eventually escalate into a full-blown Secession Crisis, but again, I don’t see that happening soon, more as a possible threat for some point down the road.
I hope that a secessionist movement takes place and is done without the bloodshed of a civil war, but I don’t see the leaders of those red states having the conviction to actually go through with it.
Any revolution will most likely be driven by the hopeless youth of today, and their goals are dangerously leftist.
Besides, most of those Red States rely on a net INPUT of Federal tax dollars. Without the Feds, these States will have to get serious about local taxation and fleece their newly independent citizenry like never before. Good luck with all that.

I think it may be true that the blue cities in the red states enjoy a net input of feder tax dollars. (They don’t produce anything and require an immense amount of costly services.)
The main difficulty with secession is that it would leave the blue cities, and most of their inhabitants, high and dry. The newly independent citizenry of the blue cities would doubtless be in some difficulty, as they would have to engage in productive work of some kind. The red areas outside the cities would manage reasonably well. Their main difficulty is that even the rural red areas are full of government employees and quasi-government employees.
My guess is that the blue cities would empty out, and many of their people would emigrate to non-seceding blue cities in blue states. The former government employees and quasi-government employees in rural red areas would piss and moan about having to get a real job, but the seceding states’ ecnomies would be booming, so they’d find ample means of employment. They’d still piss and moan for the rest of geological time, about having lost the comforts of looting their fellow citizens, but their complaints would fall on deaf ears.
Well, back in the day, TPTB killed this guy, his wife, and young daughter (and made it look like murder/suicide) … for putting together what now looks to be a very realistic dystopian vision for the US, moving forward (Gray State).

Just yesterday he called Bo (who is in Florida) demanding to get out of the nursing home (which he calls the hotel) and come “home.” He thinks our house is his home. He has no idea how difficult it is to care for somebody who frequently shits and pisses themselves and has to be bathed.
He thinks he still has a car that he jumps into and goes to a bar. It has been more than three years since we sold his car and brought him back to Jersey in my truck via AutoTrain. This is all in his demented mind. We try to explain that he needs professionals to care for him 24/7 but he thinks there is nothing wrong with him. Ten minutes after we explain these things to him he forgets the conversation. He also falls frequently and luckily hasn’t broke any bones.
All three of my kids have visited him and he really loves that since he has no kids of his own and his wife died ten years ago.
He’s going to be a problem right to the bitter end.
How sad. My father (with alzheimers) didn’t know why had been imprisoned either. He accused my mother of unjustly locking him up. There was nothing wrong with him!

However, on Monday, Newsom did not seem very concerned and utilized the occasion to raise money for his campaign. Since he entered office in 2019, critics who are tired of California policies that “favor criminals,” among other issues, have tried to recall him six other times. Out of them, five were not eligible to be on the ballot. The one that did result in a recall election occurred on September 14th, 2021, yet, it was rejected by the state’s overwhelming Democrat majority at 62% to 38%.
“Earlier today, the same Trump Republicans who led the recall effort against me in 2021 announced they are launching another recall campaign against me this year,” Newsom said on Monday, referencing 2024 presidential front-runner Donald Trump. “We beat them once—handily—and we’ll do it again if we must. But I can’t do it alone.”
Recall campaigns for governors are not uncommon. Jerry Brown, a fellow Democrat and Newsom’s predecessor, had five recall attempts. However, none of them were successful enough to make it to the ballot.
Democrat Gray Davis was the only recent governor of California to be recalled back in 2003, receiving a 55% vote. Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Republican governor and Hollywood star who was elected in his place, withstood seven recall attempts, none of which were allowed to go to vote.
In order to qualify for the ballot in 2021, supporters of the last Newsom recall need to gather enough signatures, “around 1.5 million,” to match 12% of the total votes cast for governor in the previous election.
“It’s very difficult—intentionally difficult—to recall the governor,” Larry Gerston said, who is a professor emeritus of politics at San Jose State University. “And it’s very expensive—it’ll cost millions to collect enough signatures.”
Advocates for the proposed recall campaign list the numerous issues besetting the Golden State on their website, including exorbitant housing costs, rising rates of homelessness despite billions of dollars being spent to combat it, $3 billion in free health care coverage for undocumented immigrants despite a nearly $70 billion budget deficit, and an increase in violent and retail crimes that critics attribute to the governor’s supported criminal justice reforms.
The manager of the recall campaign, Anne Dunsmore, stated that the initiative would not interfere with Republican contests and that it is primarily driven by volunteers who were involved in the previous Newsom recall that was put to a vote.
Rather, she claimed, it would compel Newsom to distribute his political funds in order to protect his position. Newsom has been advocating for the Proposition 1 bond initiative for mental health as well as for Democrat candidates in other states. She mentioned that those who were angry with Newsom had signed 2.3 million signatures the previous time around for the campaign.
“We’re better prepared, we have all the resources we had last time,” Dunsmore said. “It’ll drain more money from their coffers. He’s also spread himself thin—he’s paying for Prop. 1 and campaigning for people in battleground states.”
In response to harsh criticism directed at the governor over COVID-19 public health regulations that imposed unwanted restrictions on individuals, businesses, and churches, the Newsom recall movement qualified for the 2021 ballot. The governor fueled the recall movement by dining at a posh Napa restaurant with friends shortly after hypocritically advising Californians to stay at home, stay away from social events, and wear masks to protect the virus from spreading.

I had to go on a damn waiting list and the waiting list was so long I never got a call back because all the fucking illegals and even the legals took all the places, and across the street from those apartments is another apartment complex where 98% of the Residence are Hmong, and they never leave. Some of them been there since the 1990s.

Europe and America both are finished….Neither one of these nations have tried to get rid of the migrant invasions, not a single fucking country has even remotely tried. TS the police are well funded. In this town of 25,000, with a 55 man department, the Lieutenants, Captains & the Chief are in the $225,000-$250,000 range, and patrolmen with a few years in routinely pull down $150,000. It’s all public record. I have to say it’s a professional, well run force. Not every town or city have the resources we do, I understand that. Governments on all levels seem to have plenty of cash to do whatever they want to do. I can see the day when all business & industry lie in ruins, the landscape is a smoking wasteland; meanwhile, the local Public Safety Center, High School & Town Hall are gleaming palaces.
When I started in public service at the end of the 70’s I took a big cut in pay moving from my factory job into the FF. We had early 60’s engines, a ’57 ladder truck and two power wagon hand me down brush trucks from the Korean War. Most of the guys were working on the side and were driving beaters. Fast forward to today. Same total number of personnel as 1980 but twice as many officers. A $1.75 million platform truck and 5 fairly new engines. The brush trucks are $150K loaded Chevy K4500’s.The privates all make over 100K and you can’t even get them to work OT because they don’t need the money. Parking lot is full of new cars and trucks. Money is no object. Our Mayor is in a conundrum. He’s trying to figure out how to spend the rest of the 20 million the Feds gave him for the ‘vid. We’re also building a huge new elementary school for 120 million where everyone will be bussed and closing 3 older local schools where most students walked. My property taxes went up another 10% this year. This bubble has to pop soon.
I didn’t mention. We’re also planning a new police station for $50 million. I suggested to my councilman/neighbor that perhaps we could repurpose one of the closing elementary schools for the station. Plenty of land and square footage. Haha, what are you kidding? that would only cost 10-15 million. We’re converting it into low income housing instead. How silly of me for even suggesting it. It’s all funny money anyway.

The truth is there are some places here that really are BROKE and vulnerable. Chicago comes to mind, as do places like Detroit, Oakland, etc. If you went to any of those cities you’ll notice the decay immediately. Detroit have buildings with trees literately growing out of them… It’s like I am Legend down there..And Chicago you can’t walk anywhere without hearing gun shots being fired, and law enforcement will rarely come around it’s like the damn wild west except even the Wild West still had some enforcement around.

We turned onto a side street and observed the van heading towards us…this was about 11:00pm, more or less. When the van closed on our position, we swerved in front of them, stopping the van. My partner, weapon drawn, approached the driver side of the van and ordered the driver to keep his hands on the steering wheel…he dropped his hands and my partner shot him in the head. I had bailed from the driver position of our vehicle and was covering the van weapon drawn…even as my partner shot the driver, I saw no other threats and just kept the vehicle covered. Other units soon arrived and all were taken into custody. The driver survived.

Roughly 10 years ago, I had a suspicion that cryptocurrency was not an individual’s creation, but a government’s. So I did a little online search about that and discovered that I was not the only one with the suspicion and, for example, read a piece explaining why. The piece suggested the possibility of Russia or the US. I mentioned this over at Peak Oil Barrel.
Unsure precisely how cryptocurrency actually works, but if the internet goes down, unsure if the currency remains viable/valid. Over the years, there have been stories about people’s wallets wiped clean. Banks can do that too of course, but in any case cash-on-hand or under the proverbial mattress seems quite different and more secure.
Perhaps especially in emergency and collapse scenarios, some fundamental or traditional forms of knowledge and skills are also forms of currency that may never go obsolete or be easy to steal or be required to stockpile/hoard.

Assuming that Armstrong’s assessment of the evolution and bastardization of the Federal Reserve is correct, I envision that the Fed will not be able to deal with the volatility associated with a Bitcoin death star (that is my assessment of the logic behind his conclusion).
But, my thinking is that Larry Fink is in the camp that would like to destroy the existing format for life, and I suspect that BlackRock is positioned to be a primary beneficiary of The Great Reset/2030 Agenda.

As this sort of thing ramps up, it also stands to reason that more and more entities will be entering the fray, thereby making things even more chaotic, unpredictable and inexplicable than things are even now.
So if we were at a bar now, that’s what I’d say. Then I’d sort of shrug and then take a sip of my drink and maybe momentarily look away from you and out the window.
Presumably, the reason covid19 worked so well as a global choreograph was because it was a common enemy or at least concern. At the moment, however, that’s not there anymore. So there’s little in the way of choreographing collapse. Little in the way of controlling demolition.

Just a reminder. We visited Loch Lomond and Inverness during our cruise last fall. I got a cold then a horrific cough in Inverness, and my wife a month later. Cough like never before. Mucus pouring out of my throat. The cough lasted five months. My wife had it for about three months.
She got tested for Pertussis and was positive. I assumed as we were having the same symptoms that it was my gift from Loch Lomond,
Anyway, Pertussis evolves through three phases.
One. Symptoms of a cold that evolves into
Two. The persistent cough that finally starts
Three. A slow monthly recovery.
The other name for Pertussis is Whooping Cough or the 100 day cough which are both apropos.
The infection with me went up into my ears, my TMJs and jaws. Pain in all locations, It has been 6 months and I still have vestiges in my head.
My wife skipped the latter problems.
As I have heard that Scotland has had an outbreaks of Pertussis, just thought I would review this with you.

Not really, because the past was just as bad, this isn’t anything new. It’s not like what Israel is doing today never happened before. Joe Biden talks about “people who have a right to come here”. I guess I need a better definition of ” right” because if they have a right to come here then everyone that came here must have had the same right.
I always had the idea rights were inherited and therefore immutable. Privileges are earned, usually via contract and subject to time and chance which happens to all men.
The next question: do you have a right to stay? Is it conditional [ subject to ( social ) contract ]?
It’s generally better to consider things in terms of duties and not rights.
As in, “we have a duty to our ancestors/ forefathers”?
Duties are limited and specific. Rights are generally, broad, nebulous, and of uncertain origin.
A mother has the duty to take care of her offspring and protect them with her life. A father has a duty to shield the mother and her children and possibly provide them sustenance while the mother is protecting the children. Of course, in this case, you can prove the duty, based on preservation of species. If you have basic duties, there is little need for a silly, and usually false, declaration of rights.
Does “preservation of the species” break apart into preservation of a nation or tribe or clan or family according to what they consider effective?
The “uncertain” origin of our rights is not uncertain to all. Rights support duties.
Yes. As I said, duties are limited and specific. They expand outward in a concentric circle and become more general. First, your family, then your close relatives, your extended family, your neighbors, your co-religionists, your tribe/clan, your town, your county, etc.
If you accept that a mother has the ultimate duty to protect her children, then you can dispense with the idea that a child has a “right to life.”
If you accept the idea that a father has the duty to protect his wife and children, then you can dispense with the idea that he has a “right to bear arms” while shooting an invader into his home. He is acting in perfect accordance with his duties. He needs no “right.”
Usurpers of rights are usurpers of duties.
Because I’m not sure where most “rights” come from, I’m not sure who can grant them, or who can take them away. Duties, on the other hand, can’t be dispensed. Even if the evil government of the US gives a woman the “right” to kill her baby, no matter what that evil government says, she still has the duty to protect her baby.
The cosmos created us.
So we have a right– an intrinsic option– to live, if we want to, rather than a duty– or requirement– to do so.

There is no guaranteed right to live offered by the cosmos.
The “right” to live is a cultural construct.
You have no “right” to live, unless you live in a society that guarantees that “right” through the use of force. That society provides the opportunity at life, and the enemy of that society is anarchism.

Any government that says you no longer have a particular right/duty is a liar. You still have both. It is a matter of what you believe [ by-live ] . If you live as if the government is telling the truth you are forfeit.
I assume that the “right to come here” that “Joe Biden” talks about relates to climate change and the 2030 Agenda.

The cosmos is a very beautiful and a very dangerous “place”. Complex life is fragile and ephemeral and yet it exists in the midst of unending geologic and cosmologic brutality and violence. It would appear not to be so much a right as much as a prodigious opportunity.
I lean more to believing that the idea of a social contract in a modern state is a comical or sad myth (depending upon your perspective). And to the extent it does exist it is intended to separate your resources from you for the benefit of those who’ve set themselves up as beneficiaries of said “contract”. The social contract is a myth embellished with the religiosity of state worship to convince you that something exists in the smack dab middle of a vacuum. Yet, the social contract of the neighborhood afternoon tea circle is of far more import and reality.
The folly of the rich and sophisticated will never cease to amaze you. Work in their homes and listen to their conversations. Remain silent. Their sophistication presumably has no room for those little unsavory secrets of history. Like, inviting fifth columns in to your house never works out the way it is thought to or intended to. You see, humans can be surprisingly unpredictable.

In the end though the German tribes came and went and for the most part the population of Gaul persisted through the time of the migrations. In many cases however the ruling or elite classes were purged out and became more Germanic.
