Applying Occam’s Razor (aka the law of logical parsimony) to the latest rash of attempted pipe-bombings against mostly Democratic Party associated targets, one would have to conclude that the most likely suspect is… Debbie Wasserman-Schultz! Isn’t that her return address on the packages? You say, Oh, but her name was misspelled. And your point is? The FBI has already determined that the packages were posted down in Florida, where DWS’s congressional district happens to be located! You say, Oh, but none of the bombs went off. And your point there? There is no evidence (so far) that DWS ever attended a science fair back in her high school days (drunk, stoned or otherwise), or submitted a project to one, let alone one involving pipe bombs.

But why would DWS mount such a vicious operation against her own political homeys? Well, remember who helped Hillary shove Bernie off-the-plank into the deep blue sea two years ago, when she was chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). Apparently this woman can be induced to do just about anything. Just look at her latest Tweet (as of Friday morning): “Today, my staff and I will hug each other and our loved ones tightly, and tomorrow we will get back to work serving the people I was elected to represent.” How much “hugging” routinely goes on in that so-called “office” of hers, with its tiki-themed décor, wet bar, and murals depicting DWS in full body armor mounted on an alligator, hurling lightning bolts at a mob of white male cis-gendered zombies lurching through the swordgrass! Does it stop at hugging? Did the hugees agree to all this hugging? Or was it the sheer power-huggery of an alpha female using her position to control those around her? I confess, there’s a lot to unpack here.

Motive? Hey, there’s a midterm election on. (Have you noticed?) Someone is awfully anxious to make up for the blunders that jammed the Golden Golem of Greatness (the grossest white man ever seen on Planet Earth) into the White House. Desperation is too mild a word to describe the Democratic Party’s current collective state-of-mind. It resembles a condition called Latah Syndrome, described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM IV) under the “Dissociative Disorder: Not Otherwise Specified” section as “a culture–bound syndrome inducing a hypersensitivity to sudden fright, often with echopraxia, echolalia, command obedience, and dissociative or trancelike behavior.” Sounds like the Dems to me. All those micro-aggressions add up!

What to do about it then? How about starting with a perp-walk? Pry DWS’s cold, clammy hands off her laptop ( the one that replaced the Macbook from 2016 that somehow got trashed during the Hillary server inquiry) and frog-march the gal into the FBI’s HQ at 2030 SW 145th Ave, in the Miramar suburb of Miami. She’ll be positively ululating to the feds about how Hillary put her up to this pipe-bomb caper, and even furnished the plans for constructing the devices, (and promised her a complimentary hour in the Chappaqua broom closet with hubbie WJC).

I’m sure we’ll get to the bottom of this in just a few days, certainly before the polls open on November 6. (MSNBC’s Chuck Todd speculated on-the-air that the Russians did it, which is impossible, of course, because Russian bombs actually blow up.) The dastardly plot may well backfire against those mighty surfers of the Blue Wave, though, leaving them prostrate and gasping in a toxic Red Tide. I kind of hope so. The prospect of a Democrat-run three-ring-circus of House committee inquisitions preoccupying the nation’s limited attention for years-to-come has already got me gagging on my Earl Gray tea. Maxine Waters! Adam Schiff! Nancy Pelosi! All joining hands in an epic Chinese Fire Drill as the American political system gurgles down the great cloaca of history’s failed projects.

Next up: the colorful caravan of asylum seekers from Central America marches through Mexico for its showdown at the US border. US troops are on their way. Who engineered that potential fiasco? Can’t we find out? You really have to wonder if the gang behind this prank is the same one behind the pipe bomb stunt. If so, I know who I’m going to nominate for this year’s Darwin Award.

?

Postscript: A whack-job Floridian MAGA fanboy, one Cesar Sayoc Jr., 56, arrested this morning in the case. He was assisted in his bomb-making venture by one Wile E. Coyote, of Hauchuca City, AZ. Mr. Coyote has not yet been apprehended.

Elrond, I promised you Monday that I would write more about Fast Eddie Lamprey and post the link today. Here it is: Sam Seder on the Sears bankruptcy, a tale of the Retail Apocalypse. Enjoy!

As for the terrorist(s) behind the pipe bomb attacks, I think it’s more likely that they have more in common with the participants in the Charlottesville riot than the Democrats being targeted and false-flagged.

No – I’m not that Jeremy!

I’ve been calling the Kingdom of Saud “our frenemies the Saudis” for more than a decade, ever since I first learned what a frenemy was and connected the word to the numbers of Saudis involved in 9/11. So did Michael Moore, who made it a central idea of “Fahrenheit 9/11.” Moore reversed the date for “Fahrenheit 11/9,” which is nominated for Best Political Documentary at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards. That’s putting it on track to be an Oscar contender for Best Documentary feature. Given the mood of the Motion Picture Academy, it might just win if nominated, although I think “RBG” is the favorite. Either would make a political point, just like “Icarus” wining Best Documentary Feature earlier this year.

(Geneva, May 30, 2018) – On May 29, 2018, Alkarama submitted the case of dual Qatari and Saudi Arabian national Nawaf Al Rasheed to the United Nations Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances (WGEID ). Al Rasheed, a student at Qatar University and son of the late Prince Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al Rasheed of Saudi Arabia, has been missing since he was deported to Saudi Arabia on May 12, 2018.

He is not the only other one. Seems the royals have been pulling shit for years and nobody has given two shits until somebody said something stupid like “its not in the royals DNA to do this”

Won’t be long till the bomber is caught. LE is so good at detecting bombs that don’t blow up in the mail now that they will find the perpetrator lickity split. They have to; LE would not desire to be accused of a false flag so all sleuths must be diligently working the many clues no doubt.

I’ll help, when is the last time any of you tried to mail a package? That’s right, all those annoying questions and all the while you were being recorded on video too. Remember to smile next time.

Only a postal employee or someone with a badge could get a package into the system unnoticed. Darwin awards for all those who can’t read between the lines.

        • Walter B October 26, 2018 at 11:04 am #

It may be possible Scratch, but in this day of the poor downtrodden “victim”, the quest for sympathy would require that Mr. Trump would have to bomb himself rather than his opponents. This is a clear case of sympathy hunting and if we utilize the liberal justification that was deployed over the Kavanagh issue, well the democrats are guilty, because I say so. There you go proof enough to pass Pelosi standards.

False Flag bombs? It is an interesting theory.

    • Ol' Scratch October 26, 2018 at 10:10 am #

No evidence that I’ve seen yet that they were actually even bombs, just suspicious bomb-like objects.

      • Hands4u October 26, 2018 at 10:25 am #

Wouldn’t be surprised if this is happening all the time and the current climate thinks it’s worthy to release to the press.

        • K-Dog October 26, 2018 at 1:41 pm #

That would make it a very irresponsible decision. Why this time and not others?

          • Hands4u October 26, 2018 at 2:03 pm #

I guess I don’t see many in the MSM or Elected Professionals willing to be “responsible” in this day and age.

          • K-Dog October 26, 2018 at 5:43 pm #

Yes, but one still has to worry about sticking their neck out. That is always true, so why this time?

      • pyrrhus October 26, 2018 at 12:05 pm #

No detonators, wires not connected, clocks with no alarm function…safest bombs in history!

        • K-Dog October 26, 2018 at 12:49 pm #

Just the thing to risk rotting away in prison for fucking life for!

A bumbling bomber, a trembling terrorist, or anarchy from the no-action faction. Call it what you will but a hesitant-hell raiser I won’t believe.

        • K-Dog October 26, 2018 at 12:59 pm #

A safer bomb would have wood sticks for dynamite or modeling clay would stand in for plastic explosive. That would be safer than an unconnected bomb with real explosives.

Seems to me giving any news coverage to the case before apprehending a suspect is a mistake which promotes terrorism. Fake bombs can’t kill so the safety of the American public is weak justification for the infliction on our time and energy.

Unless the fear card needed to be thrown down by a regime nervous that people are getting onto their game.

      • JustSaying October 26, 2018 at 12:45 pm #

Yes, the timing is peculiar and the FBI said they are poorly made and maybe not intended to do any real damage.

      • malthuss October 26, 2018 at 2:28 pm #

if they are not bombs, are they legal? is that a threat, legally?

    • Elrond Hubbard October 26, 2018 at 10:27 am #

An interesting theory, though not a true one. But I see JHK’s point: the Democrats, having finally given up trying to peel off “moderate” Republican voters, have turned to sending themselves fake bombs to garner sympathy.

Anything but the one thing that would actually work: offering policies that would benefit regular working people (and come at a cost to the corporations and big-money donors that back both parties).

Speaking of which, do you know where your local DSA chapter is? Donate! Volunteer! Win!

      • Walter B October 26, 2018 at 11:12 am #

Or how about running decent candidates EH? You should see the lunatic running in NJ for Congress . The republican is a do nothing career politician that I tried to get to do some work twenty years ago, but he did nothing and continued to do so until this day. I have voted democratic against him ever since, but after attending a fundraiser for his opponent and actually watching him in action I would rather vote for Stalin. I suppose I was spoiled by Jack and Bobby Kennedy.

        • Elrond Hubbard October 26, 2018 at 12:32 pm #

My sympathies, Walter. If neither party will run a candidate you can vote for, your options are limited under the system you currently have.

One option, though, is to push for fairer voting. Some states and municipalities have already adopted proportional representation, or some other system designed to eliminate the ‘spoiler’ effect that serves the Dem-Repub duopoly so well, and the American people in general so poorly.

          https://www.fairvote.org/

          Good luck!

      • Tate October 26, 2018 at 1:00 pm #

        Elrond,

I left this comment for you yesterday on the previous thread but you probably didn’t see it:

        “above you write:

‘I’ve been posting here for many years now, and Google is your friend. I challenge you to point out to me an occasion when I have advocated affirmative action.’

But on March 22, you wrote:

‘In my experience, ‘all men are created equal’ is often misunderstood and frequently misrepresented. The idea of ‘literal’ equality is often advanced by those who reject substantive equality (i.e. the kind of equality I defend) as a straw man.’

If you don’t advocate for affirmative action, what then do you mean by ‘substantive equality,’ which you write that you defend?”

        • Elrond Hubbard October 26, 2018 at 4:12 pm #

You’re right, Tate, I checked out for a few days.

By ‘literal’ equality, I mean the idea that everyone Is, or ought to be, equally capable of everything, and that people who excel at anything must be held back so no one has an ‘unfair’ advantage. This is the concept of equality that Kurt Vonnegut lampoons in his story ‘Harrison Bergeron’. In my experience, no one who’s serious about equality as a value accepts this idea of what equality means. It’s mostly a straw man, held up by people with authoritarian tendencies who want to use faux meritocracy to justify their prejudices.

What I call substantive equality, on the other hand, means that there aren’t different rules for different people. My ideaof equality is that there aren’t different kinds of people, some of whom are more deserving and some who are less deserving; there’s only one kind. In this view, people who excel at things and people who don’t excel are still judged the same way, because they’re the same kind of person. If anyone gains advantage over others, it should only be as a consequence of how they excelled and not because they are excellent people. This latter idea is exactly what the idea of ‘aristocracy’ really means; aristos means best but it was really only a cover for those most capable at greed and oppression, not actual excellence. It’s exactly this that the founding fathers rejected when they wrote the Declaration of Independence. Hence, “All men are created equal.”

I hope that helps you understand where I’m coming from. Cheers!

          • Elrond Hubbard October 26, 2018 at 4:55 pm #

Addendum: I wrote the above in a bit of a rush, because reasons, and I want to expand it a bit. The word for a situation where there are different rules for different people is privilege. Privilege is when the rules are written to help certain people, and either hurt other people or at any rate leave them fending for themselves.

When Trump says the system is rigged, he’s correct. The fact that he’s a con man, and that he used this truth for his own advantage (to get elected), doesn’t change the truth of it. The question is, how is it rigged? Here’s how: It is a fact that all else being equal, small advantages now tend to confer bigger advantages later — that is, winning in the past makes you more likely to win in the future. The more existing wealth and privilege you have, the more capacity you have to claim the gains of society and accumulate them. This is what the biggest fortunes are built on: using the laws of economic gravitation to build on past gains, beyond any conceivable idea of merit.

Because the above is true, the idea that simply removing barriers produces just outcomes is a fantasy. But it’s an easy fantasy to sell. And once you get the public to believe it, boom — privilege is now built in to the system, without actually being part of the rules. People toil away, but instead of receiving the true value of their own contribution, more and more of it gets peeled away: by financial tricks, clever swindles of exactly the kind JHK writes about, all of it.

All of this has nothing to do with race, or other kinds of identity. Instead, it has to do with class. Where race and identity politics come in is the way that racial prejudice motivates who gets allowed to play the game of success, and who gets most targeted to be the sucker, the one left out, or the last holder of the emptiest of the empty bags. Affirmative action on race won’t fix that; what needs to be addressed is the insidiousness of economic greed wearing the con man’s disguise of meritocracy.

Wow, I sure can drone on, can’t I?

          • Janos Skorenzy October 26, 2018 at 6:40 pm #

There’s a big difference between Is and Ought to be. You have to choose.

I admit it’s a nice ideal. As Robert Heinlein said, Specialization is for insects. But in fact, we are specialized, just not to that degree. Everyone can do “everything” or at least most things, just not equally well. And the differences are vast and race enters into it too. Most pure blooded Negroes will never read at a high school level. If you don’t accept that, then you have opted for “Is” and imbalanced idealism. And you have and you are an imbalanced idealism who doesn’t understand Hierarchy and Natural Aristocracy.

          • Tate October 26, 2018 at 9:19 pm #

This clears up a previous misunderstanding, Elrond. But could you answer another question if you don’t mind.

Do you believe that different genetic groupings of human beings are equally capable of what we might call “civilizational competency?” And if not, how that might create practical problems for a society based on the notion of ‘all men are created equal?’ Because if they are not, then this creates issues of perceived inequity in the areas of criminal justice & meritocratic hiring & promotion when disparate outcomes are the result.

          • Elrond Hubbard October 26, 2018 at 10:44 pm #

Tate: Do I believe that different genetic groupings of human beings are equally capable of what we might call “civilizational competency?” Answer: There are no different genetic groupings of human beings that differ systematically in the way you suggest. Therefore the question of ‘competency’, civilizational or otherwise, doesn’t come up on a macro level. It only makes sense with respect to individuals, or near relatives at most.

Let me emphasize that I’m talking about differences that are systematic, in the way you suggest. If you look, you will see differences, sure, but they’re mostly superficial. It has been suggested, by people with no social axe to grind, that humans could be classified into sub-species. This is something we don’t hesitate to do with non-human organisms when they have similar levels of variation. But to qualify as worthy of scientific attention, the concept of race (surely you mean race, let’s not kid ourselves) as something with predictive power about people’s competencies would have to be intelligible in terms of the underlying population genetics. Actual genetic differences between populations would have to vary in ways that correspond to race as we conceive it. But actual geneticists with real expertise have looked at these underlying facts, and the picture doesn’t resemble this at all. And things like IQ tests, etc. don’t even come close to the kind of specificity required to establish something like this.

In the past, there actually were different human species: H. habilis, H. erectus and so on. These were beings similar enough to us to be called human, but different enough to be classed as distinct. Today, all those other species are gone. All that’s left is Homo sapiens, and we’re all similar enough to be considered the same kind of being. That, to me, is conclusive. Whatever differences actually emerge out of the facts don’t amount to disqualifying anyone from full humanity: not any individuals, and not any groups of people. The problem of racism, as I understand it, boils down to group narcissism: people wanting to classify themselves as normal, and people they perceive to be unlike themselves as abnormal. I vigorously disagree with this way of thinking.

          • Tate October 27, 2018 at 10:33 am #

So you’re willing to admit that there are differences between individuals but not between races. Okay, so when people are tested as individuals, and those tests when analyzed by admissions to elite schools show disparate outcomes by race, what explains that? If you would ascribe this all to white “privilege” & other advantages that whites enjoy, then don’t you endorse a handicapping system to “balance” the differences & bring the number of admissions into line with the proportion of minorities in the general population?

          • Elrond Hubbard October 28, 2018 at 10:58 am #

Tate, everything you’re asking me points to the same thing: prior restraint. You strike me as someone who badly wants certain people to be held back from participating in society — especially on the political level, but elsewhere too — and is looking for an endorsement of some kind for that idea.

Forget it, bub. With regard to free speech, the doctrine of prior restraint is well established: it’s an unacceptable restriction of individual freedom that prevents certain ideas from being expressed at all. I think the doctrine generalizes to other areas of human freedom as well.

In short, society is for everyone. If you think some people are the best people and deserve to give the orders, then you can get organized and work to get them into power on their merits. And if you’re afraid some people are going to make bad decisions, then we had all better work to educate and inform them, and provide them the tools to make better choices. This includes economic tools, such as decent wages, or even ways to own the place where they work. Nobody’s freedom should be yours or mine to constrain.

          • Tate October 28, 2018 at 2:44 pm #

“Look, squirrel!” Elrond suddenly cries, cavalierly accusing his interlocutor of an unrelated ‘sin’ with no evidence whatsoever to back up his accusation.

Do you really want to leave others here with the impression that you are avoiding answering my simple question?

          • Elrond Hubbard October 28, 2018 at 2:53 pm #

The impression I want to leave, Tate, is that I reject the premise of your question. Vehemently. That’s a valid response, and I’m completely satisfied with you not being satisfied by it.

          • Janos Skorenzy October 28, 2018 at 3:05 pm #

After you bent over backward to accommodate him but it’s still, “My way or the highway – because we say so.” Utterly demonic since they have no divine mandate.

          • Tate October 28, 2018 at 3:59 pm #

The only ‘premise’ of my question was that you are basically being dishonest when you say you have never advocated for affirmative action. That may be technically true, but only because when it comes to pinning you down on the question, you refuse to give a straight answer, but instead start hurling wild accusations.

    • Paulo October 26, 2018 at 1:28 pm #

Now the wacko is in custody, with Trump/Pence support stickers plastered all over his van, I have one question.

First, from what I’ve heard these “bombs” were never built to go off.

Second, even we deplorables living in flyover country know that important people don’t open their own mail.

Third, how ironic for George Soros’s son to claim these are anti-Semitic bombs. His fathered helped the Nazi’s rob Jews in Hungary in 1945; we have Soros’ own admission in a 60 Minutes interview, along with his exculpatory remarks “that if I weren’t there doing it, someone else would have been”
      https://video.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?hsimp=yhs-att_001&hspart=att&p=soros+robbed+jews+60+minutes#id=3&vid=22c33031a8ea8cf73c0c1f7a017f22a4&action=click

These “bombs” are so clearly a false flag attempt by the anti-Trumpers to smear the Patriots with the taint of terrorism, that even the regular hypnogogic masses are beginning to see it. I don’t know if DWS did it personally, but someone in that camp did.

The FBI may however pin it on some mentally deranged man portrayed by the MSM as a “right-wing extremist”. They’ve cultivated a stable of such useful idiots under their control to carry out false flag operations. Research the 1994 twin towers attack in NYC and the Egyptian Intelligence Operative who was the agent the FBI used to mislead some Islamic “true believers” into committing the bombing.

As for the caravan, they “march” for the nice Gringo cameramen. When the cameras are off, they ride in the trucks Soros provided.

Note to Georges: you can stop referring to “the piece of pig shit in the White House”; Obama moved out.

      • Elrond Hubbard October 26, 2018 at 12:35 pm #

Do you have any pictures or video of these trucks, hmuller? No, of course — because they only exist when there’s no way to provide evidence that they exist. Conspiracy theorizing 101.

        • hmuller October 26, 2018 at 12:44 pm #

          Dearest Elrond,

Here’s a quote from Newsweek, a rag so Marxist you may even read it, admitting to vehicles helping to transport the caravan.

On Wednesday, members of the caravan began to pass through Escuintla in Mexico’s southern Chiapas State, heading toward Mapastepec—roughly 20 miles away—with some traveling by foot, while others crammed into already overcrowded cars and trucks to continue the difficult journey toward the U.S.

          https://www.newsweek.com/migrant-caravan-map-asylum-seekers-move-north-through-mexico-toward-us-mass-1186015

        • Exscotticus October 26, 2018 at 12:54 pm #

Elrond, there’s no doubt trucks are being used. Video is not hard to find. Whether or not they’re “Soros provided” is another matter.

          • The IQ on this blog comment section has plummeted in the last year or so.

Heres what passes for skepticism: “I don’t know if DWS did it personally, but someone in that camp did.”

          • hmuller October 26, 2018 at 1:11 pm #

Here’s another factor to bear in mind. If these refugees make it to the Texas border to cause an ugly scene, a violent brouhaha blamed on Trump (conveniently right before election day) – it means the have to cross 1,000 mile in 11 days. Can you walk that far that fast – 90 miles per day?

This is all planned – the caravan, the pipe bombs, all dirty tricks to make Trump look bad. There are probably a few more such propaganda efforts coming. And Elrond is going to pretend to believe it all. Coincidence Theorist!

          • Walter B October 26, 2018 at 3:04 pm #

A good point hmuller for even a well trained and disciplined army can only generally cover between 20 and 30 miles a day while marching in ranks over relatively flat terrain. So if they make the thousand mile they surely did not walk it.

          • hmuller October 26, 2018 at 3:07 pm #

            Dear Snack Cake,

Did i label that remark as skepticism? No. If I had to label it, I’d call it speculation, which I believe is allowed at this site. So no, it’s not evidence or proof.

But let me follow you around this site and demand everything you say is backed by a thick file of evidence.

Feel free to insult my IQ as much as you like. Your kind have a deep need to look down and denigrate those who won’t follow your undeniable mandate to rule over us all. How dare the unwashed deplorables have unauthorized thoughts, hopes, and dreams of their own.

          • Elrond Hubbard October 26, 2018 at 11:05 pm #

Exscotticus, it’s not just a matter of trucks being “Soros provided”. hmuller actually wrote: “As for the caravan, they ‘march’ for the nice Gringo cameramen. When the cameras are off, they ride in the trucks Soros provided.” This irresistibly reminds me of the legendary Hidebehind, a folkloric critter with the ability to magically disappear the instant you look at it, only to reappear when you look away so it can jump out and get you. Quite silly, really.

I want to take a moment, Ex, to say that I’m more sympathetic to America’s border issues than you might assume. I know I would be upset if large numbers of people were slipping into Canada. (The numbers that actually are are, well, small-ish compared to what the USA deals with.) I also agree that a country needs to be able to control its borders (despite the slanders that Certain People continually spew about me).

Where I have a problem is that, among commenters on this blog at least, the subject is seldom discussed without being heavily mixed with racialized fears, cultural resentments and xenophobia, sometimes amounting to eliminationism. I’m constitutionally incapable of letting that stand, which means I can’t often contribute constructively; all my effort goes into pushing back against what I see as irrationality and hatefulness. Anyway, for what it’s worth.

          • Exscotticus October 27, 2018 at 12:33 am #

            >>> Where I have a problem is that, among commenters on this blog at least, the subject is seldom discussed without being heavily mixed with racialized fears, cultural resentments and xenophobia, sometimes amounting to eliminationism.

Elrond, xenophobia is an irrational fear or dislike. The moment you can articulate plausible reasons for your fear or dislike, it’s no longer irrational. You can disagree with the reasons, argue over assertions and assessments, but it’s not irrational. Currently, xenophobia—like racism—is a term used by many to shut down debate. It’s much easier to call someone a racist xenophobe than to consider their arguments.

            >>> I’m more sympathetic to America’s border issues than you might assume. I know I would be upset if large numbers of people were slipping into Canada.

Just out of curiosity, why would you be upset? What is your #1 issue with illegal immigration in Canada? I mean beyond the obvious fact that it’s unlawful, or that it deprives other immigrants who follow the rules. Beyond the fact that it’s cutting the line or queue. Let’s say one million Haitians managed to get in per year, and that this has been going on for 30 or 40 years. What would be your #1 problem with this?

          • Elrond Hubbard October 28, 2018 at 11:37 am #

Exscotticus: “The moment you can articulate plausible reasons for your fear or dislike, it’s no longer irrational.” But the xenophobia was irrational to begin with, as you said. So this is an endorsement of irrational fear garbed in rationalization, not an explanation of how I’m wrong. I don’t see how else to interpret what you have written.

Ex: “You can disagree with the reasons, argue over assertions and assessments, but it’s not irrational.” It’s rationalization. Re-read your own words about ‘plausible reasons’ and see if you can explain to me how that doesn’t fit the dictionary definition.

Ex: “Currently, xenophobia—like racism—is a term used by many to shut down debate.” First, the ‘many’ locution is mealy-mouthed. Who are ‘many’? Do ‘many’ have names? Where can I read the words of ‘many’ and judge for myself? You’d serve your own cause better by being specific. If you’re accusing me in particular of trying to shut down debate, then say so directly. I’m a big boy; I can take it.

But at any rate, I disagree that calling out xenophobia — fear or dislike of the other — when I see it is the same thing as trying to shut down debate. The process of rationalization disguises motivated reasoning, which I think you are engaging in. That’s okay, I’m no saint. But like I said, I’m constitutionally incapable of letting it go by. Real rational argument follows facts where they lead, not where emotion would take them.

Ex: “Let’s say one million Haitians managed to get in per year, and that this has been going on for 30 or 40 years.”

The population of Haiti is currently just over 11 million, but I’ll answer your question in the spirit it’s asked. 🙂 No, I wouldn’t like a large number of foreigners imposing changes on the essential character of my country either. But I define the essential character of my country in terms of ideas, not ethnicities.

Were you aware that multiculturalism was invented in Canada, with the Canadian context in mind? Multiculturalism was proposed explicitly as an alternative to ethnic nationalism, after seeing the mass death and injustice that ethnic nationalism led to from the 19th century to the Second World War. Canada offers to accept people from all over the world, and to make their heritage part of our heritage. (We also have a merit-based immigration system, which the USA could also have if efforts to change immigration laws weren’t relentlessly demagogued by xenophobic absolutists on the extreme right.) In return, we cut them in on the deal of being Canadian, and make it clear that our fundamental values aren’t up for debate. It works!

Canada is just about the only place where the idea of multiculturalism has been applied the way it was intended. European countries, for example, made the serious mistake of accepting immigrants without allowing them to participate fully in the economic life of the country. This resulted in the resentment of later generations who were technically European without really being accepted, i.e. having opportunities and a legitimate path to power (in the same way that any of us should have a path to power in the place where we live). This is what led to the burning of cars, etc. in Paris, for example.

          • Janos Skorenzy October 28, 2018 at 1:07 pm #

After their heroic stand against Anglo assimilation, the Quebecois succumbed to globalist multicultural pressure, mistaking the essence of their culture to be the French language and not the French ethne. Thus Quebec will majority non Quebecois in a few short decades. Or are you going to deny that too? Or pretend you aren’t delighted?

They even lost the French language preference in the deluge, as Jamaican and Haitian gangs shoot it out and vie with Muslims for supremacy.

          • Exscotticus October 28, 2018 at 1:38 pm #

            >>> No, I wouldn’t like a large number of foreigners imposing changes on the essential character of my country either. But I define the essential character of my country in terms of ideas, not ethnicities.

            Now who’s “rationalizing”?

Tell us, Elrond, what “ideas” are beyond the ken of Haitians that you would consider limiting their expansion into Canada in any way? I’m not trying to make you sound like a bigot; you did that all on your own.

Your professed moral superiority is a skin deep facade. You talk about the “essential character” of your country while celebrating multiculturalism. So whatever Canada’s essential character is, it apparently doesn’t include any particular cultures?!

Except that we all know it does. Unlike the USA, Canadian citizenship has struct language requirements. Oops! Is language-speaking bigotry one of those enlightened “ideas” you were talking about?

If Canada was truly “multicultural” then it would embrace different languages as well. I think it’s fair to say that at least 50% of culture IS language. But of course culture concerns itself with many things, including race, ethnicity, religion, etc. For monocultured nations like China, Japan, Korea, etc., race and ethnicity are defining characteristics. These are openly racist nations that rarely raise the ire of moralistic liberals. On the contrary, liberals celebrate and encourage Asian ethnic enclaves within their own nations. Let’s go to Chinatown and get some dim sum!

The dirty little secret behind race and ethnicity in so-called “multicultural” societies is that ethnic and racial enclaves abound. Canada doesn’t force people who share similar genetic traits to stick together; they do so willingly all on their own. Ditto with regard to religion. In fact it takes tremendous effort to break up these neighborhoods. Ironically, the most bigoted of the bunch—Asians—get a free pass and are encouraged to stick together. Because… dim sum. But when an equivalent mass of Haitians want to turn some percentage of Canadian cities into “Little Haitis”, well, that’s a problem. Please, morally superior definitely-not-racist-in-any-way Elrond, tell us why…

I’m sure they would like the “right-wing extremist” but that would be a terrorist made to order. At any given time expecting one of the right-wing extremist nut-balls who they have put on ‘simmer’ boiling over their pot in just the right way is asking way way too much.

Exposure to microwaves can help trigger a nut-ball at the right time as can micro-dosing of hallucinogens, but you never know when you might have to settle for a couple of brothers from a foreign country that most Americans have never heard of because their pot was the one ready to boil at just the right time.

In such a case, damage control can shoot a suspect and one their friends in Florida knowing that 95 out of 100 Americans won’t pay any attention at all to the goings on.

I’m just saying they can’t drop the flag on an exact spot as easy as you think they can. Dropping a flag, it only falls straight down on the moon. On earth a flag will furl and roll from side to side on the way down from the winds of the fall.

        • Tate October 26, 2018 at 3:08 pm #

But they have a large number of these useful patsies, it’s not just one. All they have to do is serially activate them until they get the desired payoff. And if all they get are misfires, so what? It’s not a critical outcome. It seems their goal is to disrupt the news cycle for several days as the polls have turned against them.

          • K-Dog October 26, 2018 at 5:57 pm #

Having too many patsies could get complicated. What if too many patsies go off at the same time? I get that having one fail is no big deal, just turning up the heat on the others gets things back on track when that happens. Yet with many patsies in motion for ‘insurance’, all of whom are excitable, it seems to me being a cat-herder would be an easier job.

Perhaps the answer is to use the Ottoman Empire method and simply kill off any extra faux terrorists who have yet to finish what they started once the first succeeded. Too many false flags at the same time would not be a good idea. Drastic action would certainly be needed since some of the ‘perpetrators’ would think it is god pulling their strings. It is not like you can ask them to stand down. They all think they are free agents doing a cosmic duty. They don’t find out they were patsies until their job is done, and even then some may never figure it out.

          • Tate October 26, 2018 at 8:12 pm #

It’s hard to believe they wouldn’t be able to deactivate any “extras” at the right time. But then that’s assuming they’re competent, which is a stretch.

The fact that it’s not a critical mission, & that they had a real “live one” in this guy means that he could been the only one deployed.

According to “the Elrond Principle” if you can’t provide a link, it’s a big, fat lie.

Since when does Donald Trump own public housing? I thought the government did. In which case it’s very odd for Trump to throw someone out of a government housing project.

If you’re talking about someone on public assistance living in Trump owned housing, guess what?! People of every color get evicted every day for non-payment of rent. Why did you have to mention “black”? Do you think Trump would never evict a white family?

The total context of the situation must be known, before judgment can be passed.

My suspicion is that it’s a carefully orchestrated plot by the FBI and others – the same FBI that framed Trump. But this time they’re “smarter.” This is the same FBI that knows where the nutz are on both sides. Who Sent The Bombs? Theory #2
by Jonathan Peter Wilkinson on October 25, 2018

Someone mailed bombs to a number of Leftists and yet these bombs all failed to go off, or even be in a state where they could detonate. My apologies if being repetitive represents a poor writing technique. My immediate question wasn’t “Are the dearies Ok?” It was more along the lines of an epitaph that supposedly graced a tombstone up on an Old West Boot Hill. “He kept on asking for it until he got it.” Of course they didn’t really get it. They got the Obama Stimulus Plan equivalent of terrorist mail bombs. Like the Obama Stimulus Plan, they got lots of media and had no legitimate positive effect.

This is truly the work of a saboteur or an idiot. If it were a Leftist, it was the most obvious and over-the-top False Flag every run up the media flag pole. Why the psy-op right in the middle of this huge, unstoppable Blue Wave? Umm, about that Blue Wave…. Here is why a Leftist may have attempted to pull this off.

The Left has a very low opinion of the intelligence of most Amerikans. I understand this more than some other Leftist beliefs There are a veritable herd of NPC morons out there waiting to be programmed by the Chyron beneath some disingenuous “news” program. The world gets more enstupidated on an annual basis. We will enjoy the advantages of modern plumbing and sanitation until we intellectually degenerate to the point where not enough of us will be capable of maintaining them. The Alt-Right sees a problem, the Cuck Right bows to inevitability, and the Left sees a bongo fugging marketing opportunity.

Stupid can be useful. Particularly in a system that equates popularity to power. You program the nose-picker NPCs by getting that big lie all over cable news and The Drudge Report. Get all of your polls into the RCP average, demoralize your enemies and win every election! It’s so simple even a Leftist can do it.

But the problem here is that the Dems are looking like the obvious bad guys this time out. People are thinking that maybe Brett Kavanaugh could be their son, their husband, their brother, or their dad. They take one look at the growing migrant caravan and see Alaric and The Visigoths coming to alter the definition of what it is to be a Roman. The RCP Average isn’t stocked with their pet polls anymore. You have to reverse this and bring back the propaganda meme of the Big Orange Pussy-Grabbing HITLER! What would a Nazi do? Mail out bombs to all the Leftists he didn’t like. The only one this guy missed was Rosie O’Donnell. But have patience. The false-flag is still young.

So we need to change what is being said in a loud manner. The Left needs to grab the mic and reassert their usual media dominance. The bad news had to be ripped from the screens. We need to talk about what The Left needs you to talk about. How else do learn to properly love Big Brother? You can’t program the NPCs without the proper lines of code.

So therefore we get these unworkable, highly-symbolic bombs getting sent to targets that they could never actually endanger. But it sure got lots of attention.

Crude pipe bombs targeting Hillary Clinton, former President Barack Obama, CNN and others were intercepted Tuesday night and Wednesday in a rash of attacks two weeks before nationwide elections that could reshape Congress and serve as a referendum on the first two years of President Donald Trump’s presidency. The devices, which officials said shared a similar design, were aimed at prominent Democrats and a cable news network often criticized by political conservatives. A similar device was found Monday at the New York compound of liberal billionaire George Soros, a major contributor to Democratic causes.

So in conclusion, there is non-zero probability that this was entirely a Leftist False-Flag operation. These bombs effectively detonated something every Leftist would like to see destroyed. They blew up a news cycle that was running counter to their electoral interests. Here’s my theory of how this all went down.

The Left is having to work a lot harder than it is used to to maintain their narrative. They are victims of entropy that eats away at their Cathedral.

They are running out of lies and people are more adept at sniffing out their gaslighting. Kavanaugh would never have gotten onto the USSC back in the 1970s. The real Trump factor involves a GOP that actually fights back against these tactics and reveals the lies in a public setting.

The Left needs a big election win in 2018 to refute and contain Trump. Six weeks ago, they had it. They were talking a sixty seat gain in the House of Representatives. They had the momentum until the day Amerika learned to loathe Christine Blasey Ford.

So the Democrats and the rest of The Left in general were out of ideas, low on air speed and running short of political altitude. It was either throw a Hail Satan Pass or eject, eject, eject. Let’s all hope that their parachute is as defective as their last-gasp political “mail bomb spree.”

    • JohnAZ October 26, 2018 at 10:56 am #

Another interesting item is who did not get a non-bomb.

Bernie. The parties targeted seem to be folks associated with the globalist, Soros financed wing of the party, Finca’s Black Project.

“I would not be surprised if” is a useful turn of phrase. While providing no actual information, it enables one to inject any ol’ unsupported idea into the stream of conversation. It allows for deniability, too, if you get challenged for trying to slip something by people without any evidence at all: “I’m just saying I wouldn’t be surprised, that’s all.”

BTW, Antifa themselves are assholes. I reject their destructive tactics both on principle, and because they feed right-wing reaction.

      • Ol' Scratch October 26, 2018 at 10:49 am #

Well, but what information are we to believe is reliable these days? The BS spewed by the WaPo, NYT, CNN, and their ilk? At some point you have to open your eyes to the fact that the so-called “conspiracy theories” (love that term!) are at least as well supported (usually much more so!) as anything the MSM puts out these days. And most “conspiracy theorists” are at least trying to connect the dots to form a cogent larger picture; something the MSM steadfastly refuses to even contemplate, and to the degree that they do, it’s always to promote a blatantly slanted politicized agenda.

        • Elrond Hubbard October 26, 2018 at 1:51 pm #

Alas, Ol’ Scratch, this requires that people have the time, energy and willingness to go out and seek out information for themselves. Just as important, people need to have critical thinking skills sufficient to recognize who is dealing with reality.

Not easy when there are so many cynics (plentiful around here), propagandists (e.g. Rush Limbaugh, Rachel Maddow), opportunists, conspiracy theorists and plain crackpots (Alex Jones qualifies as all three of the latter) that infest the landscape.

          • hmuller October 27, 2018 at 12:00 pm #

Alex Jones is passionate, sometimes wrong, but sincerely concerned about doing what’s right for the American people vs the Globalists.

Rachel Maddow is an obnoxious, trash talking, snarky “person” with an odd haircut who serves evil for mucho dinero!

    To JHKunstler:

    Dear Mr. Kunstler,

How are you? Fine I hope. I just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for letting me know about the Latah Syndrome! I have never heard of it before.

Naturlich, I looked it up immediately, and in a psychological abstract, found a link to this, which you and others, may find amusing :

    Jumping Frenchmen of Maine</b

The Jumping Frenchmen of Maine were a group of 19th-century lumberjacks who exhibited a rare disorder of unknown origin.[1] The syndrome entails an exaggerated startle reflex[2] which may be described as an uncontrollable "jump"; individuals with this condition can exhibit sudden movements in all parts of the body. Jumping Frenchmen syndrome shares some symptoms with other startle disorders.

Individuals with this condition were first found in the Moosehead Lake region of Maine,[3] and were first described by George Miller Beard in 1878.

George Miller Beard recorded individuals who would obey any command given suddenly, even if it meant striking a loved one; the Jumping Frenchmen seemed to react abnormally to sudden stimuli.[3] The more common and less intense symptoms consisted of jumping, yelling, and hitting. These individuals exhibited outrageous bursts, and many described themselves as ticklish and shy. Other cases involved echolalia (repeating vocalizations made by another person) and echopraxia (repeating movements made by another person).[4][5][6] Beard noted that the men were "suggestible"[7] and that they "could not help repeating the word or sounds that came from the person that ordered them any more than they could help striking, dropping, throwing, jumping, or starting".[7]

It may also be a culture-bound syndrome or a formed habit. These French "jumpers" lived in a very remote region and most were lumberjacks. This type of small community would allow for a majority to adapt to this sort of reaction. Also, instances of many being shy may imply that the "jumper" was positively reinforced by the sudden attention as the entertainment for a group.[4]

Jumping Frenchmen of Maine syndrome must be distinguished from other conditions involving the startle reflex or tics.

[such as]Tourette syndrome is characterized by multiple physical (motor) tics and at least one vocal (phonic) tic. There are many overlaps when compared clinically, but the abnormal "jumping" response is always provoked, unlike the involuntary tics in Tourette syndrome.[9]

Latah from Southeast Asia is a disorder where one's startle response is similar to a state of trance with repetitive speech or movements. Miryachit is a disorder found in Siberia that also displays an action similar to "jumping".

In the wonderful children’s opera of Sergey Moskalkov, the Witch of the Gingerbread House played by him in the costume of the captain of the Yellow submarine, suddenly turned into The Witch trying to incite Hansel and Gretel against each other, who were condemned to death by her in hellish flames of the oven.

The Moskalkov play, amazingly rich in an associative series, somehow with an infernal humor created this image of The Witch that seduces people of “one blood” to die tomorrow, unlike a brother or a sister who is destined to go to the furnace today.

    >>> It resembles a condition called Latah Syndrome, described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM IV) under the “Dissociative Disorder: Not Otherwise Specified” section as “a culture–bound syndrome

Miryachit is a disorder found in Siberia

    From Russian Medical Encyclopedia:

Miryachit, a kind of psychic disease, in pre-revolutionary Russia, widespread among some nationalities of East Siberia, such as Yakuts and Buryats; however, the Russians, who lived for a long time in the Yakutsk region, became ill with it.

The disease is characterized mostly by an irresistible inclination of a sick person to imitate the words and actions of others. (echolalia and echopraxia) and to the execution of orders given by the others. Men and women, according to Tokarsky, are equally affected; according to Mickiewicz, women get sick more often.

GREEN ALBA, sez >You *think*? Go ahead and publish your findings.
Twenty years of research should do probably do it.
I *think* the scientists have taken sun cycles into account.
    Prove me wrong…///

The drivers of climate are the Sun [#1],
    Volcanic activity [#2]
    and #3 –other influences.

While old folks freeze to death in England [is that the same as UK and Great Britain, ?? I never checked as to whats the difference]
    AGW may be happening.
The Earth has cycles. Ice Ages return. It is inevitable.
USA was under a mile of ice, just seconds ago [in Earth time].

And AGW may be happening. The Ice Caps were once green, yes?

    • Exscotticus October 26, 2018 at 11:12 am #

Exactly. Not a single scientist can tell us what percentage of climate change is due to AWG versus other factors like the sun.

No one disputes that human activities leading to changes in the composition of our atmosphere are undesirable in the long term. But not a single scientist has shown that if the First World undergoes social and economic deprivations while the Third World continues to overpopulate the world, that it will make any difference whatsoever.

      Combustion

AGW is combustion! CO2 is the result.

      Hydrocarbon+ oxygen = CO2 + H2O.

      Inevitable!

Cars, fires, volcanoes, industry all produce CO2.

      But-

They are not the primary contributor.

      ???

      Breathing!

Animal life is no. 1, we all exhale CO2, lots of it.

Plants take the CO2 and create sugar.

More plants, less CO2. A natural balance.

      Except?

Overpopulation. Kills plants and increases breathing and cars and industry and wildfires.

      The solution?

Line up on the right and we will shoot every two out of three people. Overpopulation solved!

I do not think that it is politically correct.

So politics better start helping with the adaptation of the world’s peoples to the oncoming changes.

      Or else?

War will kill two of three people.

      Problem solved!

Lots of things playing, PA, but we saw ‘Columbus’. (Indiana, that is. I looked it up and my, don’t you have a lot of cities called Columbus?!)

I didn’t choose the film. It was er…quiet and slow-paced. Architecture, a problem mum (hers) and a problem dad (his).

There were points where I almost nodded off, but I would not presume to suggest causality, as I may just have been sleepy, especially after supper in the bar and a couple of glasses of wine.

“I haven’t seen a good film in a very very long time.”

I’ve see quite a lot, but I’m a member and there’s generally something worth seeing. ‘Death of Stalin‘ is funny if you haven’t seen it, but it didn’t seem to be the Russians’ cup of tea, in these bizarre days of Uncle Joe nostalgia.

One of the agitprop officers made the point that “just as one Saudi terrorist does not classify a clash of civilizations… the same in this case, and one person does not paint an entire group.”

    seen elsewhere–
It’s even worse in Death Spiral states like NY.

We have far more people living off taxes than tax payers. Not only welfare recipients, but state, and local government workers. 40% of New Yorkers support the other 60%. State government is huge, and the wages and benefits are killing us.

Most people I know work for government in upstate NY. I argue with my brother in-law who thinks he pays a lot for insurance as a state employee.
He pays $100 per month, I pay $1500.
When I tell him that state employees pay no taxes, he gets irate. If the NYS Retirement fund takes a hit from a down market, they will raise taxes to ensure he doesn’t suffer a loss. If the market tanks my retirement, I am screwed. The fact is, if you work for government, 100% of your income comes from people who don’t work for government.
As I tell him, he doesn’t pay taxes, he is taxes. As more non-government employees continue to leave the state, it puts a huge burden on those remaining.

/ I live in a coastal town where the City Commissioner makes nearly half a million a year.

Sounds just like jersey. Over reliance on the public sector is what destroyed Greece. I like to say, regarding NJ, we are Greece of America. Sounds like NY is right there with us, not surprisingly.

Due to the sheer numbers of public workers, it wont change through the political system i.e. voting – all public workers here are unionized and vote their interests and vote reliably in large numbers. In the meantime people just get squeezed out and leave for cheaper pastures and are replaced by immigration. It is not a sustainable formula.

Johnson believes it’s “highly likely” the person who built the bombs will have been previously flagged by law enforcement. The Secret Service maintains a wide database of groups and individuals who have made threats in the past against presidents or other top political leaders and activists via email, letters or on social media.

The predominant theory in the news is that the fake bombs are the work of an amateur, some sort of low IQ nut. I strongly suspect it’s the work of the Intelligence Community.

You trust the alphabet agencies? You think they don’t have a political agenda involving lies, deceit, false flag attacks, change of POTUS?

I’m not saying it’s impossible for the FBI to say something true now and then. But I’ll take it all with a measure of skepticism. They’ve proven they are capable of anything; and Americans are beginning to wake up to it.

I guess I never realized that our host was a right wing conspiracy theorist.

If this were my blog I would be writing about the vicious wars we are supporting, or in which we are actively participating, and the consequent humanitarian crises we have spawned around the world; the unholy alliances into which we have entered; the consequences of a Sino-American War to which we are lurching; the looming precipice of increased social unrest and the possibility of a second civil war; and, the economic abyss into which we are collectively peering due to terrible economic policy. All at the hands of a radicalized Republican Party and a President who seems unable to tell the truth.

But all I get to do is comment.

    • hmuller October 26, 2018 at 12:25 pm #

      Dumbedup,

I agree that American military adventurism (aggression) around the world is an evil thing. Maybe, you never noticed that the deep state, Obama, and Hillary have been the hawks.

When Trump tried to talk peace with Russia, they called him Putin’s puppet. I’ll admit Trump has been too accommodating to the war monger party on several points. But Obama and Hillary were even more accommodating – they wanted to topple Assad of Syria no matter the cost. They wanted to promote war against Russia in the Ukraine.

Have you forgotten all this already?

Perhaps you not as Dumbedup as you are Dumbedown my friend, since you clearly overlook the origin of these wars for profit at the hands of Lyndon Baines Johnson and continued without pause regardless of which colored dipshit occupied the Oval Office since then. We, and certainly I write about this fact here pretty much every time Jim posts the bi-weekly starter fluid at the top and he never complains about the subject being not only raised but repeatedly bantered about.

Yes, what you have said about what this nation has been engaged in from the end of WWII is correct, but it is carried on by both colored, Jackass and Dumbo politicians ever since the first one who opposed the idea was dealt with in Dealy Plaza.

Off hand, I can’t recall a time in all its history that the US corporation was not at war or planning to go to war.

Rome never goes away. It just moves. It’s about to pivot to the East (again).

But at least you are doing something about it as much as you can.

      • Dumbedup October 26, 2018 at 8:11 pm #

Personal attacks instead of facts. What a great discussion.

Yes, the wars started a long time ago. But the Middle East became a tinder box under a Republican President. One George W. Bush. Obama ended the war in Iraq, put in place an agreement with Iran and limited our involvement in Syria.

Under a radical right wing demagogue we have expanded all of these wars and bragged about it. We have supplied the Saudis with logistics and supplies (weapons) while they victimize innocent women and children in Yemen. We voided the treaty with Iran and have started a trade war with China which could easily result in a shooting war. We have encouraged even more brazen acts of state sponsored terrorism by the Israelis against the Palestinians and sent more troops into Afghanistan.

If the economy falls into recession or worse there will be another shooting war. It is the last refuge of desperate politicians.

Those are the things we should be talking about. Not how the Democrats bombed themselves. It is beyond ridiculous to suggest such a thing as the arrest today proves. Our host should pen an apology. But like most radical right wing promoters he will not accept any responsibility for being wrong.

It is pitiful that the dialogue in this country had turned from serious discussion among moderates in both parties to name-calling and insults from the far right and the far left.

If it is civil war these radical extremists want then they will probably get their wish.

        Never were truer words written:

        The Second Coming

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
        The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
        Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
        The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
        Are full of passionate intensity.

        Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

        >> W. B. Yeats (1919)

        • hmuller October 27, 2018 at 12:41 pm #

          DumbedUp,

I for one did not attack you personally but raised issues.

You write: “Under a radical right wing demagogue we have expanded all of these wars and bragged about it.”

It appears you are a “true believer” in the world peace agenda of the Democratic party and the globalist lapdogs ensconced in the deep state.

I believe the 7 decades long American Imperial policy was a mistake, even a moral cesspool. But it was most assuredly a bi-Partisan effort.

You want to credit Obama with the Iran treaty. Would it surprise you to learn it was never signed by any party, American or Iranian? Neither was it ratified by the Senate. Hence, it never became “a treaty” – a memorandum of understanding, at best. But that’s a trivial aside.

Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize, months into office, having done nothing for peace. Then he proceeded to drone bomb weddings in Pakistan, killing 200 guests at a time to hit 2 Taliban attendees. They call that collateral damage.

The Obama administration fomented the collapse of Libya and Syria into civil war in 2011. Neither has recovered, and life is hellish. He approved the so-called Maidan Coup in the Ukraine, toppling a corrupt government to install an equally corrupt pro-Nato government. Civil war in the Ukraine has followed, along with the danger of dragging Russia into it.

Obama was as friendly to the Saudi’s as any American President. His support for wars in the Middle East was scarcely marred by the smallest moves towards peace. Did he ever move the Israeli-Palestinian “peace process” forward one iota?
No, he was obedient to Netanyahu and AIPAC.

I could go on all day. But I know nothing will open your eyes to the big picture. And while I keep dumping on “Obama’; of course, I mean the puppeteers who controlled him. I think Obama’s only decisions involved which video games to play at his desk in between public appearances.

          • Dumbedup October 27, 2018 at 5:36 pm #

The foundation for what has happened in the Middle East including Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Yemen and other areas where ISIS and other radical Islamists have gained a foothold began after 9/11. Did Obama contribute to it? You betcha he did but he also tried to lower the rhetoric. Trump is not even trying and has in fact, upped the ante so to speak in Syria. If the agreement with Iran meant nothing then why did it take a Presidential action to abrogate it?

Trump has done nothing to reduce the conflict in the Middle East and in fact has inflamed it repeatedly. He makes no apology for his Muslim animus. Every policy, every statement out of Trump’s mouth is a lie. He decries media dishonesty because they call him on his lies. A crazed right wing fanatic with Trump stickers on his van sends pipe bombs to prominent Democrats and he blames the media. Everyone with eyes to see can tell that his extremist, hate-filled rhetoric has emboldened nut jobs like the guy in Florida.

The US military has provided assistance to a repressive regime in Saudi Arabia who continues to engage in state sponsored terrorism. What they are doing in Yemen, with US assistance, is an abomination. If you object to their policies publicly you will be killed, and America will turn a blind eye.

I see nothing helpful, statesmanlike, or reasonable coming from this White House. Just lies, insults, mocking and lousy policy.

So let’s talk about his domestic policies. He and fellow radical right wing travelers foisted a tax cut on Americans and have run larger deficits this year than since 2012. Now, to cut those deficits McConnell is talking about cutting social security, Medicare and Medicaid without any reform to healthcare. Trump stoked the stock market which is close to entering correction territory. A lot of people will get hurt if it leads to a bear market or a recession.

He wants a better deal on trade. But the problem is that his trade war is hurting our economy. It is also leading to tensions with China. Back them into a corner and they will shoot. And if we keep running deficits who will buy our bonds and what happens if China, Russia and others stop trading in dollars?

The President brags about unemployment and a growing economy, but it is all based on smoke and mirrors. The real numbers in the unemployment report show that U5 and U6 are are both over 7%. The labor participation rate lingers around 63%.

Social unrest, the feeling of injustice, voter suppression, character assassination of a reputable woman who dared confront the Republican establishment are growing because of this radicalization. There is nothing fair, honest, dignified or thoughtful about these policies. They are done on behalf of the ultra rich who believe themselves entitled and to whom true Democracy is a hindrance.

          • Dumbedup October 27, 2018 at 5:39 pm #

You are clearly a radicalized Republican if you cannot see the damage that is being done to this nation by the man in the White House and people like Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan.

          • hmuller October 27, 2018 at 7:40 pm #

            Dumbedup,

With you it’s all about those terrible Republicans. In your world Wall Street never bought the Clintons and Obama. I suppose in your world the Democrats sent hordes of law breaking bankers and corporate CEO’s to prison.

The Globalists (who go by many names) have controlled both parties for a long time. They have committed many atrocities (incl. 9-11) started many wars, created great human suffering. You see their evil deeds, perhaps one day you’ll look behind the curtain. Be well.

A great documentary about our military-industrial-complex and how it formed and keeps going is Why We Fight, its about ten years old now but still relevant. The Guardian makes this hilarious statement:

“In his bid to make the caravan an election issue, Trump has made a number of false and misleading claims about the migrants that are travelling in it.”

The whole point of the caravan that it is timed to coincide with the mid-term elections. If it doesn’t get to the border in time the plan won’t work. If it does, babies will be waved in front of the cameras and the Dems will gain at the polls.

I just found this passage I had saved from somewhere or other about the events in 2015 when a group of ‘refugees’ decided to march on Vienna from the lock-down at Budapest railway station. They were ‘advised’ to keep to the main road so the cameras could see them.

“The journey from Budapest to Vienna is about 250 kilometers — and the group of marching refugees is now being led by a man waving the EU flag. Another marcher up front has pinned a photo of Merkel to his sweater and a third is pushing a man in a wheelchair. Images of the trio will become iconic of the march and they are shared extremely rapidly across Twitter and Facebook. Even as the refugees continue putting kilometer after kilometer behind them, the march is christened in social media as the #marchofhope.”

This coincided with the photo of the drowned boy and Merkel caved in before the day was up.

I only put this in because I noticed a wheelchair leading the Caravan.

Rush is saying that the stickers all over the crazy guy’s van are new, suggesting that someone just stuck them on recently. It’s not too hard to figure out that once the FBI found this guy, someone from the deep state made them put those stickers on before they busted him. It wouldn’t surprise me if Mueller was involved, or Comey. The next step will involve Democrats blowing themselves and their families up in a further bid to make the Republicans look bad. Who knows, maybe it will catch on and the Republicans will start blowing themselves up in even greater numbers, just to show they are even more picked on. Come to think of it, this scenario could work out well for normal people, who would just like less corruption in their government.

    • K-Dog October 26, 2018 at 2:17 pm #

Once you have seen them at work you realize that un-weathered stickers and such happens. It is not that they are making mistakes, they just get sloppy.

Put yourself in their paws. You go to work and in a morning meeting you are told to get stickers an put them on a car. How often have you done this before? Never is the answer, this is your first time. You are not going to notice that you should have ‘distressed’ the stickers before you put them on the car. That sort detail can’t be noticed unless it is done at least once. It is a detail first observed when the job is done. As all field operations have a unique character a perfect rendition of reality can’t be accomplished. Unanticipated detail is a fact of life.

Fortunately (for them, not us) the human mind is very adept at filling in blanks and making things right. In other words, self deception. Ask someone who had noticed the car stickers previously a day after they came to believe that Sayoc was the perpetrator and the memory will modify so the stickers become dirty.

Yet if you become a targeted individual yourself and notice these imperfections it can help keep you sane while they are trying to break your mind.

      It worked for me!

    JHK sez:
“I’m sure we’ll get to the bottom of this in just a few days, certainly before the polls open on November 6. All joining hands in an epic Chinese Fire Drill as the American political system gurgles down the great cloaca of history’s failed projects.”

Hilarious, in a grim sorta way.
Well….. even with a “suspect in custody”, we have no idea of the motives behind these I.N.D’s (Improvised Non-explosive Devices).
And we can be assured we’ll only be told the why’s and wherefore’s that the 3-lettered boyz and gurlz would like us to hear and absorb.

Which [most unfortunately] brings me to a melancholy turn when I think upon the sentence: “All joining hands in an epic Chinese Fire Drill as the American political system gurgles down the great cloaca of history’s failed projects.” – JHK

Yessir, that’s probably well-deserved. Absolutely *no one* can agree on “what the facts is”. Everybody seems to have a separate set, depending on which ideology and demagoguery they’re wishing to promote, defend or use as a weapon against their neighbors.

Nobody can convince me that this wasn’t by design. Even *if* it was by accident, it’s gone waaaay too far to be reversed now; the damage is done and it’s overwhelmed any and all truth (now just a quaint term; abused to the point of meaninglessness).

“We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.” — Supposed attribution to William Casey, CIA Director
Regardless of whether it was actually said or not, it has become the case.

Apparently, there are no more facts to be had — nor are they desired or necessary. So, in closing: Fuck all you disinfo fuckers; whether for fun or profit you’ve ruined your own people’s ability to comprehend reality. May you live long.

Read your suggested reading on respiration. Interesting and the balance between plants ingested and respiration sounds right. Two items, we are big time meat eaters so plant carbon in vs. carbon out from plants is not the total picture, and one guy alluded to the quality of crops versus forests for CO2 sequestration as a factor. Same thing for grassland too as the Earth dries out. Another dreary factor may be the CO2 sequestered in human, and other animal tissue, and plant tissues upon death. What happens when bacteria attack organic material, I would guess CO2 is involved. So many factors.

My bottom line still holds though, more people more CO2. As long as the politicos argue about AGW, it is wasted time in helping make the changes needed. Just part of The Long Emergency.

One thing the article showed me though is how multi-factored the problem is and how little we really understand. One thing changes and it affects many factors, decreasing or increasing CO2.

An interesting article showed that a speedup in Heating of the oceans and atmosphere since the 1970’s may be due to decreasing particulates in the atmosphere. The particulates scatter the sun’s radiation and reflection into space is increased. In other words, our attempts to clean up smog production since the 70’s may be contributing to the warmup.

Thank you, JohnAZ – I enjoyed my evening at the cinema!

Re global dimming due to aerosols and other pollutants, yes this has been known about for some time (even by me…). It depends which side of the fence you’re observing from – or rather the length of your perspective.

You may say ‘our attempts to clean up smog production…may be contributing to the warmup’ or you may say ‘our production of these types of pollution is masking a certain amount of the underlying warming trend’. Being a long-termist, I’d tend to say the latter.

These pollutants remain in the atmosphere for less time than CO2, so unless we add them deliberately to the atmosphere for the rest of human existence – and how sensible would that be? – the underlying results of our CO2 emissions will eventually catch up and make themselves felt.

A person who believes that any of the current leadership choices is the answer is asking the wrong question.

How to identify a patsy? Look closely at anyone you know, and then look in the nearest mirror.

Remember Ike? Look up advisory role and the Sino threat and then get back to me on one party being the hawks. Had McCain won, half of those commenting here would still be on the couch with four gone from a six. Myopia is seldom considered depth of insight.

Amazing how quickly the paranoids and false flaggers can wipe the egg off their faces.

      • hmuller October 26, 2018 at 4:11 pm #

There is no egg on my face, and paranoid can be a good thing when bad people are doing shit.

See my 10:53 AM posting above (before the arrest was announced:)

“The FBI may however pin it on some mentally deranged man portrayed by the MSM as a “right-wing extremist”. They’ve cultivated a stable of such useful idiots under their control to carry out false flag operations. Research the 1994 twin towers attack in NYC and the Egyptian Intelligence Operative who was the agent the FBI used to mislead some Islamic “true believers” into committing the bombing.”

This has often been the pattern. The guilty party is a right wing, middle aged, mentally unstable, white male loner. The deep state loves to go with successful patterns; why change what works.

And maybe Sayoc played a role. But how did he hand deliver a bomb to the Soros home in Bedford NY Monday while never leaving south Florida? Maybe others were involved. Oh no, that would be a “conspiracy” and we know the lone gunman always does it (Lee Harvey Oswald).

        • Ol' Scratch October 26, 2018 at 4:23 pm #

Amazing how easy some people are taken in. One of the classic attributes of a false flag operation is the ability for the normally inept “authorities” to instantly identify and capture a farcically obvious “perpetrator” who has guilt literally written all over them. This one’s so obvious that most of the “tin foil hat” crowd won’t even touch it. Why waste too much breath on it when the dems make it this easy?

          • hmuller October 26, 2018 at 4:50 pm #

Agreed, Yet there are some people on this site who believe everything is above board and exactly as portrayed. I think questioning the established authorities would cause them complete mental breakdowns.

Is it possible they could still be implicated? Possible.

And Scratch, the “authorities” are not as inept as you seem to think. Or hope. What are you up to? You might as well cut it out. I already know that you’re after me, and that you’ve been plotting my downfall for some time.

Is the caravan dissolving? All this bomb stuff has just about made it disappear. The way things stand now, if citizen militias were to confront the caravan they’d probably be arrested and the caravanners coddled.

Racial and cultural differences and their incompatibilities have forever been part and parcel of the immigration dilemma. But what else is part of that dilemma, what lies beneath it all? It’s kind of deceptively obvious-resistance to change.

Even amidst all the current chaos things are still pretty good here, and the older folks can remember a time when they were even better. Okay, mainly older white folks. From Europe, Britain initially, to Plymouth Rock, to here and now. It’s all before us, this magnificent masterpiece of civilization.

That civilization is now imperiled by both immigration and the increasingly expressed forces of the Long Emergency. I think that we are aware, even if only vaguely, that this splendid edifice has had its day.

We are confused as to where ‘progress’ will take us, and don’t know where we are going. We want to stop time, we want to stop change, but of course it’s impossible.

Yet maybe, just maybe, if we can stop immigration we can stop Some change. The words of WH Auden are appropriate:

We would rather be ruined than changed
We would rather die in our dread
Than climb the cross of the moment
    And let our illusions die.

    The Age of Anxiety

There was a sizable Chinese team – about 12 people brought from Motorola subdivision in Beijing headed by the Indian guy – PhD, no less.

The task was to establish command protocol between the Unix-based switch and old Motorola proprietary EMX switch based on some ancient Motorola-own operating system, created, I think, right before the American Civil War.

After working on the problem for 6 months, the Indian PhD guy gave up. I knew the manager of the project and asked him t let me try – just for fun.

Outline of the rape and destruction of the beautiful Hannah Cornelius at the hands of South African coloreds. They finished their work by dropping an eighty pound rock on her head – twice. Red on gold, utter ruin. But this was just the last act of the Tragedy which began generations ago when her Grandparents began to abandon the stern Cavinist faith. Why else would she be out in the early morning hours sitting in a car with a Black boyfriend? She thought that was just the thing to do because she had never been taught right from wrong.

White women who get involved with black men are setting off deep-seated psychological chain-reactions which they don’t understand, and over which they have zero control. And all too often, they pay for the mistake with their lives
Thankfully I don’t have direct personal experience with what I’m about to say, but I’ve heard it so many times, from so many different people and from so many quarters, that the observation appears credible.

Basically, white women, especially cute blonde women, who date black men, are messing around with deep-seated psychological forces and imbalances of which they have no knowledge or understanding. Black men who score a steady White girlfriend tend to believe something transcendent has happened: it’s like winning the lottery or getting a scholarship to Princeton or something for them. It isn’t just dating (which is what the White woman perceives), it is a game-changer, a life-transforming event. And once they’ve scored, they refuse to be un-scored; this is why so many black men stalk and/or murder White women who date them for a while and then break up with them. To the White woman, it was just an interesting romance which either ran its course or else they got scared when they began to discover all the creepy things black men have lurking in their psyches. To the black boyfriend, however, this is for keeps. Imagine if you won the lottery and then some petty official disqualified you on a minor technicality: you wouldn’t just shrug and give it up so easily. In fact you might get so worked up you’d murder the official who ruined your dream life.

Like the old movie line goes, The only way to win is not to play. White women and girls need to be told, again and again, and warned and lectured and reminded and scolded and warned again, to never ever EVER become romantically or sexually involved with black men. This isn’t even some kooky racist diatribe, it’s just the unfortunate facts. We don’t hand small children a book of matches and then let them play in the dynamite factory.

OMG! I know exactly what you are talking about. Two girls I used to know in high school got involved in such situations let’s just say. We, their friends knew about it but of course nobody told their parents. How do you explain….yuck? The guys did treat the girls like trophies or status symbols I guess you could say, around their friends especially. I just couldn’t stick around long enough to find out what happened but word through the grapevine was that neither had good outcomes. The idea of novelty or something exotic is what got em. My thing is thinking its better to be safe….than sorry.

So – he can still talk about it Ms Alba. It’s always good to be reminded about how unsafe and dangerous the world can be. One bad move can ruin your life. Shouldn’t we instead say thank you?

Of course, Ms Starlight, you thank away…

” It’s always good to be reminded about how unsafe and dangerous the world can be.”

I find myself bizarrely not in need of a reminder, thanks, not being five.

A horrible occurrence obviously! I typically don’t buy much the Huffington Post has to say however sometimes even they can’t avoid truth. In the states at least, Black Women deal with more domestic violence than White Women, at the hands of their own men no less. So it’s pretty safe to say that White Men, in general, treat women better. Not even to speak on the inter-racial complications mentioned.

They should give him access to porn on the internet but make it so slow pages never load. Think of it, Cosby sitting there day after day. In bright pink on the top of his screen it says:

Catatonic Teen Cuties staring Ruth Rupie and Lucy Kay-Lude in ‘No Motion With The Lotion. Maybe with some special glitter effects around the pink letters of the title. The top of Cosby’s screen can glitter but the bottom of his screens stays ‘loading’ on a blank white screen. After about three days the ‘loading’ message can change to ‘video not found’ 9 times out of 10 but with a peek of naked female flesh for about ten seconds that one time in ten before his screen blanks out. Then a new three day cycle can start. The occasional peek is needed to keep Cosby in the game or he won’t play.

Cosby can turn the screen off any time he wants so it is not cruel punishment. It would be unusual that is true, but not ‘cruel and unusual’ so it should be OK.

Jim I’ve been a fan of yours for over ten years now but I gotta say…jesus you’ve really lost it. Your downward spiral into the realm of paranoid delusions of democratic party boogeymen and deep-state operators has been troubling to watch, considering I’ve always thought you to be a cogent social critic.

I saw signs of it in your writing a while before the election, but once ole’ Trumpi got in I guess you felt you could finally go hog wild. I mean, really Jim? The DNC- full of awful people like Hillary and so incompetent that they couldn’t win an election against Donald Trump, is orchestrating a false-flag campaign…hmm…. call me unconvinced. I recognize that this post is partly satire, but the way your writing has gone the last few years its hard to tell.

Can you stop with the “I’m no fan of Trump” sentences you like to throw in arbitrarily? Its just kind of strange because they always seem to appear right before a rambling incoherent defense of his policies and/or actions. It would be like if I told you how much I disliked “Lenny’s Pizza”, but every time you walked by you saw me eating there – eventually the “I hate Lenny’s Pizza” shtick would wear pretty thin. At this point these statements you make about not liking the guy are looking like a thin toupee flopping around on the head of a guy who went bald 30 years ago – just rip it off already, seriously.

I’m not sure if you even read these comments but thats ok. As a long time fan I felt compelled to write this for whatever reason. I’m sure I’ll still read a lot of your stuff, I’ve enjoyed world made by hand in addition to your social criticism work, but I think I’ve seen enough of the deep-state amusement park you’ve been building. But hey, as America retreats further and further away from factual reality, I’m sure you’ll have plenty of people lining up to buy tickets!

(By the way, I’d bet money a good chunk of your most “vocal” commentators are the kind of people that believe the Protocols of the Elders of Zion to be factual history. What that says is something I’ll leave to your interpretation)

    • PeteAtomic October 26, 2018 at 11:27 pm #

I understand you are aiming your comments at Mr. Jim there, however you are also including the posters here, so

“(By the way, I’d bet money a good chunk of your most “vocal” commentators are the kind of people that believe the Protocols of the Elders of Zion to be factual history.”

I for one, think the Protocols are complete bullshit.

and 2) is there government corruption? is there corruption in either political party?

Is it appropriate for Mr. Jim, if he wants/feels need, to talk about it?

      thanks

Very well put. I could not agree with you more.

Landon, here’s a new word for you “non-sequitur”. As in Hillary and the DNC are so incompetent they lost to Trump, ergo they are too incompetent to orchestrate a false flag campaign.

But I’m not saying Hillary, the rum soaked Queen of Denial, had anything to do with it. There are more capable people in the deep state – which you’re sure is a looney tune conspiracy myth since these people never appear in public wearing matching “DEEP STATE” T-shirts.

Come to think of it, doesn’t Nancy Pelosi always dress “her girls” (the House Demo women) in matching outfits for the State of the Union speech. I wonder what kind of Barbie Doll fetish that doddering old gal has?

I do not know what the mainstream media is saying about this “mad bomber” and I am not going even bother to check it out because what would be the point. What I heard on the job tonight however, was that the dildo that they have busted and are apparently charging with this hoax, not only had his fingerprints already on file with the FBI, but they were all over the “bombs” as well. Now from what I have already gathered, the packages were supposedly assembled to be “anonymous” yet the idiot left fingerprints all over “his work”? Call us conspiracy theorists or call us whatever you want to call us, but anyone who would buy into this horseshit is either on the payroll or dumber than shit, sorry. There are no other options.

I’m tempted to agree with you but we do have a lot of crazy people. Millions of them.

      There are stranger things:

In 1995, McArthur Wheeler walked into two Pittsburgh banks and robbed them in broad daylight, with no visible attempt at disguise. He was arrested later that night, less than an hour after videotapes of him taken from surveillance cameras were broadcast on the 11 o’clock news. When police later showed him the surveillance tapes, Mr. Wheeler stared in incredulity. “But I wore the juice” he mumbled. Apparently, Mr. Wheeler was under the impression that rubbing one’s face with lemon juice rendered it invisible to videotape cameras (Fuocco, 1996).

There is another option. Bat shit crazy. No doubt Cesar Sayoc had heard of invisible ink somewhere sometime. Perhaps Cesar was dipping his fingers in lemon juice thinking it was all good.

      • Walter B October 27, 2018 at 4:45 am #

While certainly possible, I am no Coincidence Theorist and so when I see the victimization being utilized by the leftist loonies whether throughout the sexual classification bullying and the poor abused Ms. Ford case, I see the earmarks of the Looney Left. This Bozo had a “relationship” established with the FBI, just like Lee Harvey Oswald and that Florida school shooter. It may be normal for Coincidence Theorists to fluff these details off, but I have been tasked with too many investigation responsibilities in my day to blow off everything that happens as simply just random. Yes, I understand it is easier but that is another reason to discount it, easy is not good, it is just easy. Complicated individuals do complicated things, simple folk need to keep it simple and it often is used against them.

    • K-Dog October 27, 2018 at 2:59 am #

Something is strange about this migrant caravan. Remember how there were “migrants” that sprayed swastikas on American flags and burned them? Now there is a picture making the rounds of a van carrying “migrants” and the van has a star of david painted on it. What do either of these symbols have to do with allegedly Central American “migrants”? Who is paying for this? It seems like they want America to be associated with the swastika – and the “help” with the star of david IMO.

    • K-Dog October 27, 2018 at 3:43 am #

Do you really want to find out? You’ll have to write about other stuff now. No fair ignoring this.

Bartolo Fuentes speaks about migrants, the usually soft-spoken former politician gets passionate, and an encyclopedic knowledge of immigration issues shines through. Bespectacled and 54 years old with salt and pepper hair, he has the look of a professor, but he draws on a lifetime working with migrants in Honduras, and on his own personal experience.

In 1980 an older brother migrated north, and by the end of the decade Bartolo sought refuge in Mexico himself after receiving threats. Central America’s right-wing death squads were notorious and his earlier participation in protests against the U.S.-backed Contras, who used his country as a staging ground in their CIA-backed war on Nicaragua’s Sandinistas, made him a potential target..
      .
      .
      .

But then a report on the country’s most-watched cable news channel, HCH, painted a picture of the caravan that changed everything. The anchors interviewed a woman who was supposedly part of the caravan. The woman talked about safety in numbers, called Fuentes the organizer and mentioned foreign assistance. The anchors, without any supporting evidence, then said that Fuentes would pay for the migrants’ food and transportation.

Fuentes was later interviewed by the anchors and strongly refuted what was said, but by then the damage was done.

Giving any thought to the deep meaning of pictures being passed around is pointless. I suspected the actual cause of what is going on was out there and should not be hard to find. I was not wrong. Too many curious people know that a bit of investigation would get to the bottom of this so people stepped in to do the investigating. Basic supply and demand.

Offering starving people free food solves your mystery. Surprise surprise, hungry people liked the idea! Once the caravan started coming together plenty of random strangeness had to happen.

The hexagram that is signifier of a special kind of help:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ERmOpZrKtw

The kind of assistance that, as Barbara Lerner Specter mentions, will be resented and be a cause of increased anti-Semitism?

Coming to North America soon. Like in a few weeks time. A replay of the Mariel Boatlift from Cuba during tearly 1980s, that dumped the contents of Cuba’s prisons and mental hospitals and political oponents on the sunny shores of South Florida (but who has time to remember such things?)
      Just via land this time.

A puke-inducing piece on National Public Radio yesterday extolled the virtues of UNICEF “helping” the children in the migrant “caravan” who were suffering immensely from the heat, lack of proper nutrition, poor health care and still had such an awful long way to go. The do-gooders were working with the Mexican government, NGOs and others to make sure the children would be aided.

Would bringing children on a 1500 mile walk without any preparations, supplies or consideration for their well-being be considered child endangerment?

The Mexican government, if it weren’t happy observing the circus from the sidelines, would have to take the children from the parents who have put these kids in harm’s way and into protective services and foster care.

Then I wonder, ff the Mexican authorities were to do this, to protect the children, would there be an outcry that they are separating families?

Excerpts from a Joint Press Conference with Italian Prime Minister and NATO Secretary-General

I would like to single out Mr Putin’s special contribution, because despite the internal problems which he has faced, he has been brave enough to embark on the path of cooperation with NATO. I think the West has gained a lot from his participation in this summit.

Mr Putin is a democrat, a liberal-minded politician, a Western man. He will manage to unite the destinies of his country, Europe and the West in the interests of all our countries and the whole of humankind.

As a result of the agreements signed today, Russia has taken its legitimate place among Western democracies. I hope that over the coming years we will achieve still greater progress. Russia must join the European Union. I am aware that it will be a gradual process that will take some time, but I am deeply convinced personally that we must work towards that goal and that we will eventually achieve it. Europe will grow stronger by the presence of 144 million citizens of a great country. Europe will become a politically united institution that commands a due measure of authority in international relations. The union of course will be friendly and loyal towards the United States within the framework of NATO and the UN, and the parties will work together to strengthen peace, democracy and freedom on the planet.

I am satisfied with the results achieved during today’s summit. We have attained a new level of relations. When I had a chance to talk with Mr Putin last year as the leader of Italy, which held the presidency of G8, he explained to me the nature of the problems which the Russian Federation faced in connection with NATO’s actions in the Balkans. I realised that before making a final decision on NATO enlargement at the upcoming Prague summit in November, we had to achieve a new level of relations with Russia. In terms of its history, its culture and Christian heritage Russia belongs to Europe; it is Europe. So it is quite logical that we can create a common European space from the Atlantic to the Urals. Today we are determining the face of the West from North America to the Urals.

We must also declare that while the past century was a century of totalitarianism, Nazism, communism and the division of the European world, the new century must be an era of democracy and peace. There can be neither peace nor freedom without democracy. If we manage to spread the ideas of democracy all over the world, we will bring about an end to all conflicts and wars.

      Fake news?

No, but that summit happened in 2002 – right after Putin managed to settle a would-be nuclear conflict between India and Pakistan, that threatened to develop into a world-wide nuclear conflict.

In 1998, I went to watch Gogol’s “The Government Inspector” in the Stanislavsky Theater in Moscow, where Khlestakov turned out to be a neurasthenic criminal, whose mental illness had a clearly marked infernal overtone.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Government_Inspector

His illness turned out to be absolutely adequate to the spirit of the times and therefore he took control of the entire city, and the so-called intelligentsia especially joyfully went out of its way to lick his boots.

The performance left a completely eerie impression, however, no more eerie than the Moscow of that time.

But the first thought after viewing it was that the unity of the Artistic Truth of the play necessarily requires catharsis in the form of an absolutely rational KGB officer, calmly stepping out from behind the scenes and putting a bullet in the forehead of this infernal neurasthenic.

When I shared these impressions with the author of the production, dead silence ensued in a very crowded apartment, presented to the most talented Moscow director by Moscow’s mayor Yuri Luzhkov, and only salaciousness of a really stupid but surprisingly beautiful actress broke this truly sacramental silence.

His heavy gaze and this silence showed me that during rehearsals, the need for such an epilogue occurred not only to me, but, obviously, was rejected as a result of a rather serious conflict.

      • K-Dog October 27, 2018 at 1:03 pm #

Seems to me you missed the point. Perhaps you should bone up on Russian. The play is not about Khlestakov but about the Mayor who mistakes him for the ‘government inspector’. The real inspector is a secret shopper sent in by Moscow to root out corruption and is known to be about town. Khlestakov is mistaken for the inspector and merely takes advantage of the attention and perks coming his way by the corrupt mayor who wants to kiss his ass. If you understand the seminal line of the play at the end,

What are you laughing about? You are laughing about yourselves!

you understand that line you know the play is not about Khlestakov. He is not the point.

Of course only a fool would suggest a change in a work of art which is widely considered to be perfect as it is:

“one of the few Russian plays constructed with unerring art from beginning to end”.

Thus that meeting you described never happened, and to have suggested a change that is off point of the play is doubly foolish and would be actually be embarrassing to relate if you knew what you were talking about.

How did I find all this out?

        Wikipedia

Another thing you could bone up on besides Russian is the Dunning Kruger effect. A bit of that might keep you from embarrassing yourself again.

        • FincaInTheMountains October 27, 2018 at 1:34 pm #

Obviously, doggie, you are not an ardent theater-goer. I am not now, but I used to be.

Any good play, Hamlet being one example, could have hundreds of various interpretations by talented directors.

And I wouldn’t recommend using Wikipedia for art critique, It burned you already on more trivial things, like Neutron Bomb, for example.

I read all the time that the conspiracy theories are bunk and there are no conspiracies.

I also notice that their are two primary sources of that statement, the Deep State (gubment) and the media. Hmmm!

I do believe in the opposite, coincidence. Look at what is happening right now. When many different things happen at the same time, to the same effect, I do not believe that it is coincidence, it is conspiracy. Society needs to root out the sources of the conspiracies to solve its problems.

Hmmm! Who would that bother? The sources of the conspiracies, the elitists who think they have all the answers, the Deep State, who thinks it has all the answers, and the MSM, who thinks it has all the answers and is going to shove those answers down every man’s throat.

Today is unique, all three “enemies of the people” are in concert in possible the biggest conspiracy in history.

Refusal to acknowledge their existence will be fatal for America. Because these people are in charge and threatening the elected impediment to their cause.

      Speaking of the conspiracy theory.

For example, I could not understand in any way why Trump does not speak of the mass murder in Las Vegas as terrorist attack, although the BBC, France-Press and Deutsche Welle all speak about this as an obvious terrorist attack.

And the organizers of the terrorist attack were not particularly hiding, and Oswald-2.0 that was slipped in was purely for pro forma. In fact the organization that did it all, marked the territory as good as the cat in March – the smell penetrates even through the TV screens.

And it occurred to me that if Trump acknowledges the terrorist attack, then, according to the law, the investigation must be transferred to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, whose director Comey stated that not a single sensible prosecutor after looking at the mountain of corpses (including the corpse of the American ambassador), which remained in Benghazi and in Libya in general after the use of Hillary Clinton’s private server for state and diplomatic correspondence, will not find reasons for initiating a criminal case.

Where are the guarantees that his deputy will not come to similar conclusions, looking at the mountain of corpses in Las Vegas?

Meanwhile, while the investigation is being conducted by the local police, who have established links with the security of the casino system, part of which is the former casino owner of Tajmahal Donald Trump, the probability of finding those responsible is clearly not zero. Moreover, having behind the president of the United States, local police can find informers not only in Las Vegas, and not only in the United States.

Just heard on Fox that the president of Mexico has offered the caravan folks asylum in Mexico, with all the welfare benefits. All but 1700 refused and said that they will continue on to the States. ???

    Conspiracy?

They are on their own. What will happen at the border? Will they rush the border knowing that they are home free if they touch American soil? Will the US try to stop them on Mexican soil? What will the reaction of the American public be if shooting starts? Can they stop them without shooting?

In the meantime, the second caravan is forming up. Maybe the CIA ought to figure out who is inciting this as it now looks like it is aimed at us. If they do not get this figured out, we will be welcoming 1/2 of the population of Latin America. With no place to put them.

      • K-Dog October 27, 2018 at 1:37 pm #

The nature of the game means that there are always a lot of lose ends but it does not matter because nobody ever is able to collect the lose ends and put them together. Lose ends are quickly buried and patched over. Anybody coming along to do any investigating will be dealt with.

Inconvertible proof can exist but if nobody sees it and knows how it fits into the bigger picture it can’t mean anything. You also have to remember that the whole point of using a crazy loose cannon patsy nutball is that they can be triggered as an autonomous weapon to leave no traces. Prodding on the internet late at night by a ‘friend’ won’t ever be detected.

You also have to remember that if you blunder onto any inconverible proof it can’t do you any good. Contact any American news agency and tell them what you have. They are going to tell you to send them an EMAIL about it before they will meet you. Can’t do anything without that EMAIL first. So just send the EMAIL to them, paint a target on your back and visit your news agency.

But don’t speculate on what Dr Spock would say to Jim on Star Trek about what your odds of success are after you send the EMAIL, should you actually find proof of the shit our government pulls.

Kirk: ‘Spock, what are our odds now after sending that email.

Research suggests that conspiracy belief is stronger when people experience distress as a result of feeling uncertain., and even though these beliefs may be inaccurate and many times ludicrous, they tend to shield a person’s belief from uncertainty, and consolidate his sense of belonging to a particular social or political group.

They are also associated with a tendency to overestimate the likelihood of believing there are nefarious connections in co-occurring events. —R. Brotherton, “Suspicious Minds” 2014

Right now, the US, indeed the planet, is in an unusual state of anxiety due to rapidly changing cultural mores at home, the rise of capricious, sometimes violent leaders that perpetuate the politics of fear and attempt to divide the populace to consolidate power, mass movements of people to escape climate change and violence, and finally, the existential threat of planetary cataclysm.

      • K-Dog October 27, 2018 at 1:47 pm #

They have a total utilitarian attitude. A couple of deaths in the greater scheme of things is no big deal to them. To a pentagon mindset a few deaths are a bargain when set against the fall of America. In a pentagon mind we are actually at war at this very moment and losses are expected and natural. If a tweak in social attitudes leads to the kind of change they like but a few people die they will be quick to remind you that people die all the time. They would consider your question naive.

        • ozone October 27, 2018 at 1:52 pm #

          K-dog,
I understand. But the salient question (which ups the ante considerably) would be: Which murders would foment the most ferment?

          • K-Dog October 27, 2018 at 2:35 pm #

The goal is to revitalize the energy of the fear state and suppress dissent. A common culture of fear where people must go with the flow regardless of how our leaders act is the desired outcome. MAGA drill baby drill and pass the ammo. Eat the eagle.

So what ‘events’ best produce the desired outcome is the question. But we can’t go very far in assuming that the question will be answered rationally. Only irrational actors play this game in the first place and expecting things to make sense is asking too much.

In Boston the goal was to generate hatred of Islam because they don’t want Americans feeling sorry for sand niggers when oil dollars can’t send food to their sandbox anymore and they all must die. That operation did not work out as planned.

Americans will need to be quiet and enjoy the show munching on their cheese doodles and nachos while our military gets us through the long emergency. Collapse has been figured into the pentagons plans for a couple of decades now. One thing that can be said of our military. They don’t ignore science.

That is the way ‘they’ think, not I. The players have total disdain for JSP and don’t feel Joe needs be made aware of their plans in any way.

            So what furthers their game?

Bibliomaniac, do you have a condescending, armchair-psychology explanation for why people believe whatever the authorities tell them despite the evidence? Is it possible unconventional thinkers who have done the research might be better informed those who follow the crowd and parrot what they are told?

I can easily dismiss all the people who disagree with me in psychological terms – they believe what they need to, what they want to, they are emotionally damaged, brainwashed, yadda, yadda. But none of that deals with facts and evidence.

      • bibliomaniac October 28, 2018 at 3:58 pm #

        hmuller

Yes. My condescending, arm-chair psychological explanation is that people tend to believe whatever supports their entrenched beliefs and opinions, and they question and reject those that threaten them. (cognitive dissonance) None of us is immune from it— including you and me– and that is probably why we disagree on some things. But then, you already knew that.

That’s not to say that we don’t agree on other things.

P.S. Unconventional thinkers who have done the research are frequently the “authorities.”

Strategic Arms Restrictions and Orthodox Politics. Part2

    Part 1 is here: http://kunstler.com/clusterfuck-nation/lost-in-translation/#comment-375989

The last post I presented a very important idea that the agreement on medium and shorter range missiles, which Trump allegedly is going to break, is not a contract of two equal parties, but part of the surrender of the USSR, signed by agent of the British special services Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev.

Although the capitulation of the USSR was in the fact that such a person as Gorbachev became the General Secretary of the CPSU, and then the President of the USSR, and Hillary Clinton’s cries about Trump’s cooperation with Russia allow this issue to be raised at future strategic arms talks that will not be Russia’s capitulation.

And that they will not be capitulation while Putin is alive, follows from the fact that he spoke of Paradise for the martyrs of a nuclear attack, and the inevitable shameful death of the organizers of such attack, one of which will be himself if he repeats Gorbachev’s “feat”.

And this changes all military strategic calculations, but for now it is important to understand that the essence of the treaty on medium and shorter range missiles was that the USSR physically destroyed 654 RSD-10 Pioneer missiles, including several hundred of their newest Pioneer UTTH missiles with three warheads to compensate for the military-strategic backlog of the USSR, which appeared after the creation in the USA of the technology of multiple combat warheads of individual guidance.

Moreover, in 1986, tests of the Pioneer-3 missile began, the parameters of which allowed a pre-emptive strike on American missile systems in Europe and thus close the question of so-called Euro-missiles, which, allegedly due to their short flight time, could deliver the first disarming strike to the USSR, but the trouble is – it was impossible to hide the preparation for such a strike.

And the United States burned the nozzles (destroyed) the 250 obsolete ground-based Pershing 2 (MGM-31C) and Tomahawks, which clearly showed their poor reliability in Syria, while not only retaining the more advanced Trident-2 missiles on submarines aimed at the heart of the USSR, but also the Pershing-2 warheads, which were later used in aerial bombs deployed on stealth bombers, also designed not to throw flowers, but to deliver that disarming strike, the possibility of which was supposed to be eliminated by the INF Treaty.

That is, a more outrageous act of betrayal is difficult to come up with and, compared to this treaty, even the Brest peace and the Versailles Treaty of 1918 seem very soft to the defeated.

Trump will do Russia a great favor if he withdraws from this treaty, since now this treaty is unprofitable for Russia, but for diplomatic reasons, withdrawal from it is extremely undesirable.

Meanwhile, the main threat of the first disarming strike comes from NATO command centers in Europe, and Russia, in the event of which, will be forced to aim at them much more expensive intercontinental ballistic missiles. Especially since Hillary Clinton was so sure of the invisibility to the Russian radars of an armada of F-35 bombers with nuclear or precision weapons on board, that she did not bother to preserve the rocket technologies of the 1980s, and the US now does not have medium-range missiles, as well as strategic fighter to gain air superiority and intercept strategic bombers.

And Putin did a great favor to Trump by anticipating negotiations with Bolton with a promise not to use in the talks the possibility of Russia preemptively attacking missile defense radars in Poland and Romania, which in 2009 seemed almost the only possible response to the deployment of EURO-PRO complexes to intercept 10% of Russian missiles that survived a disarming strike on Russian launch sites.

From this point of view, the description of the new Russian weapons systems in the message of the President of Russia to the Federal Assembly explains why such a blow was not dealt.

But here it is necessary to clarify that according to the classical theory of nuclear war, nuclear strikes are:

    a) First, or disarming, which is inflicted on the launchers of enemy missiles and command centers, and the short flight time plays a decisive role in this strike, since the passage of the command to launch missiles in retaliatory strikes requires considerable time.

    b) A retaliatory strike, which is inflicted on the cities of the enemy who struck the first strike, or on the launch sites of ICBMs that did not participate in the initial attack, and before the combat units of this enemy achieved their targets.

And this creates a certain moral dilemma, which allowed within the framework of the Masonic logic, about which I wrote, to expect that go to Hell will not those who started a nuclear war, but those who became its victim. This was the basis for calculating the lack of a finger to press a button, which destroyed the Soviet Union, and Vladimir Putin’s statement about entering Paradise for those who deliver a retaliatory strike, even in combination with the promise not to use the preemptive strike opportunity in negotiations, overturned all the calculations of analysts of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who prepared the Bolton’s trip to Moscow.

And going to the second (or fourth term), Vladimir Putin, undoubtedly stood before the very same choice that Nicholas II stood before in February 1917, and judging by this statement, he decided to achieve holiness the other way – the way of the Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky and the way of Nicholas II in August 1914.

    c) The counterstrike that is inflicted on the enemy’s cities, after the aggressor’s missiles had already exploded at the launch sites of Russian missiles, and very authoritative sources in the US in 2006 said that after the closure of the stations in Sevastopol, Mukachevo and Gabala possible nuclear attack from the south is in such a state that Putin learns about it only after the NATO warheads explode on the starting position of the Russian missiles.

Which supposedly would allow avoiding inhuman attacks on the command centers in large cities within the framework of the very same Masonic logic.

    To be continued…

    4. A Former President of the Synagogue Said that the Department of Homeland Security Have Run Safety Drills at Tree of Life

    — Lori Houy (@WPXI_Lori) October 27, 2018

The synagogue’s former president Michael Eisenberg said that while he was president, he had the Department of Homeland Security come to Tree of Life. Eisenberg told the Post Gazette the agency ran safety drills. Eisenberg added, “We had to step it up as far as security, although there had been no threats. The building isn’t designed for today as far as security purposes.” Eisenberg went on to tell CBS Pittsburgh that a maintenance worker who escaped was able to do so because of the DHS’ work. Eisenberg said, “He was able to get out of the building… because the exit doors were working well. I just can’t tell you how thankful I am just to do that one task that Homeland Security told us to do.”

I realize there are other interpretations.

  71. K-Dog October 27, 2018 at 4:01 pm #

    Ozone Sez:

That explains much. It seems especially pervasive amongst the Tiny-Toadstool-ticklers, Hitler-humpers and Hebe-haters. (I suspect this synagogue murderer was simply a soloist who happens to share some friendly preoccupations with some of the posters here — those who are real persons, that is. The “others” are just fomenters/provocateurs; helpmates if you will.)

So, who deserves to die next, fuckwits?

Nobody ‘deserves’ of course but who is next? Who’s demise best serves the development of a common culture desired by puppeteer overloads? Puppeteers we can define here as those who actively sponsor ‘events’ in some way but those who would take advantage of them as if they had should be included in the definition.

This is not wo-wo Robert Bowers was on the net.

An exaggerated awareness of in-group out-group memberships will be cultivated. White nationalism is not good for those currently running the show and will be suppressed. A way to do this will be encourage a few extreme alt-right nutballs to go off so that a mass suppression can be justified in a resulting atmosphere of fear. I’d not be surprised if this is the first of several synagogue tragedies. I hope not.

Guessing what could happen is impossible since there are several Mid-East countries who’s fates could influence how ‘things’ get triggered over here or how they are played by mass media and the troll armies if random chance brings them to us.

Thank you Kdog. By admitting that the Establishment is against White Nationalism, you have forged ahead of Ozone who refuses to admit such. You have lost your sharp NPC nose, and your grey flesh is showing some color.

The Establishment is persecuting RAM, a White Social Athletic Club based in California who defended themselves against Antifa attacks in both California and Cville. Synagogue shootings.

At least 12 people were injured by the attack, including three officers. The shooting took place at the Tree of Life Synagogue in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, a police commander told USA Today.

Bowers said he didn’t vote for Trump & never wore a MAGA hat. Why wasn’t the place protected with armed defenders to counter the threat of violence?

    • SoftStarLight October 27, 2018 at 6:24 pm #

      Was it a gun-free zone?

      • Tate October 27, 2018 at 7:26 pm #

This is certain to dominate the news cycle up to the midterms. Cue for a deafening clamor for gun-control by the lugenpresse. President Trump holds firm, says Tree of Life synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh has “little to do with” gun laws, says the synagogue should have “had some kind of a protection” inside the temple, and later asks why it didn’t have armed guards. We know that the location had been the object of threats previously so if it was a gun-free zone, they erred badly. Or maybe they just decided they had to up the ante to insure a Blue Wave in a week and a half.

        • hmuller October 27, 2018 at 10:35 pm #

Maybe the killer didn’t know it was a gun free zone. Maybe putting up some signs would have warded off the gunman. OR a few armed Jews may have been useful. What do you think?

          • Tate October 27, 2018 at 11:39 pm #

It’s hard to know what to think anymore. But all facetiousness aside, an armed presence would have prevented this. But then, some people don’t mind a little sacrifice if their victimization status is preserved.

          • hmuller October 28, 2018 at 10:08 am #

A few decades ago as a spiritual seeker I went to a Jehovah’s Witness service. Two of the biggest black guys I ever saw were manning the locked door (probably armed) They were very well-dressed, welcoming, and polite. But I just knew they were ready for anything. Maybe other religions should adopt a little of that paranoia – guardians at the gate, etc.

          • SoftStarLight October 28, 2018 at 11:48 am #

Seems right since they refer to such places as soft targets…

  74. JohnAZ October 27, 2018 at 5:49 pm #

I would like to propose a new idea.

I have been listening to reports on the Pittsburgh shooting and thinking about why the constant aiming of hatred between groups. It is not a one dimensional problem, Jews are not the only ones that are hated. Everybody hates someone. ??? And it is getting worse.

Are we in endtimesvand the world is just turning evil? Some would say so, but it is a cop out, God doesn’t make Man evil, Man does.

So I look for something that will make people repel each other, universally.

Space. Personal space. A consequence of just too many people.
Like the Santa Ana wind in California, it just grates on you. Think of the idyllic small community, everybody has their “space”, meaning their occupation, room for their family to expand, enough area to ignore people that are not the same as you. Then more and more people start to show up, you have competition for your job, your family has to leave to survive, and those different people are in your face.

When the West was young, people had an alternative when things started to close in, they went west. Kept the lid on. When areas get overcrowded, bad things start to happen, time to move on.

When Europe got overcrowded, the overflow went to the Americas., then to Africa. There has always been a place to expand into when crowding became a problem

Until now! Personal space is getting smaller and smaller, cites bigger and bigger, immigration more and more as other overcrowded areas try to expand towards us. Personal space is not just physical space, it is emotional and spiritual space.

My contention is that there are limits to how small personal space can become before people start to rebel. This rebellion can take many forms, war, fistfights in a bar, road rage, shooters in a synagogue.

What struck me was a commentator saying we need to turn down the temperature a little to stop the expressions of violence that seem to be increasing. Exactly! But how do we do that? How to tone down the competitors for space? Or can we?

If overcrowding is the problem, are we going to compound the problem by allowing more people in to crowd our personal spaces? Will increasing violence be the product of liberalized immigration? We are running out of room.

    • Walter B October 27, 2018 at 5:58 pm #

John, does not every rat cage experiment that allows for the rat population to grow out of control not end with the rats turning on one another? Is pumping this already stressed society full of more and more “rats” not a viable way for those at the top to keep those at the bottom from coming after them and all of the resources, assets, and wealth they have amassed? Seems to me like a logical distraction to allow the Fat & Happy to stay that way while minimizing the possibilities for the hungry to become a problem for them as resources and income become more difficult to come by.

“If overcrowding is the problem, are we going to compound the problem by allowing more people in to crowd our personal spaces? Will increasing violence be the product of liberalized immigration?”

Simple. Yes and Yes, until the immigration laws are changed. Take in people on merit, etc. If large numbers of migrants do reach our border, a defining moment will have arrived, for our nation and our President.

It’s not only space, but valid fears associated with unwanted change and the incompatibilities of multiculturalism. Nothing new.

    • SoftStarLight October 27, 2018 at 6:23 pm #

We need to completely stop all immigration for now IMO. This would make all of the immediate population pressures disappear overnight, in this country at least. The ethnic issues will never go away because human beings are naturally tribal. Solutions can be discussed but few people want to even face the reality and that is why we are in this unsafe place.

The question is not in General Vlasov, but in the number of traitors in the top military leadership of the USSR on the eve of the war ready to surrender their front-line positions to Hitler.

Only this explains the military catastrophe of 1941 and the “incompetence” of Hitler who started the war on two fronts – fact that still puzzles the Western historians, – Hitler simply relied on the Soviet traitors-generals.

But what Hitler did not calculate was the readiness of the Soviet soldiers to fight to the last drop of blood after hanging their traitors-commanders.

      • PeteAtomic October 28, 2018 at 10:44 am #

It’s much more complicated then that, Finca.

This was a part of my university studies. The unreadiness of Soviet forces, the Officer purge in the 30s, and Stalin’s inaction for months after the invasion– all play a role in this catastrophe. Remember as well, that the Wehrmacht was at its height in 1941– in terms of experience, morale, and effectiveness.

This was a part of my university studies

Red flag right there. You studied your own propaganda, sorry.

The main problem was a wide-spread betrayal among high-ranking officers of the Red Army.

What do you think the American Party of war is betting on right now? Technologically, US is 15 – 20 years behind.

          They are counting on traitors.

            No Finca.

The saviors of Russia in the Great Patriotic War were of course the common soldiers, but also generals like Zhukov and Rokossovsky.

Rokossovsky was an interesting in figure, imprisoned and tortured by the Purge of 1937, who then went on to participate in defeating German Armies at Stalingrad and Kursk, amongst many other battles.

He wasn’t a spy or traitor, Finca.

So, please don’t accuse me of studying propaganda. You know better.

      • Janos Skorenzy October 28, 2018 at 3:35 pm #

The stripper wasn’t White and he didn’t strip. Likewise, Megyn Kelly didn’t support blackface but she apologized for doing so once she was accused of it. The idiot.

Bowers is White and an Idiot, but he didn’t strip either.

I haven’t seen a good strip show in a long time – something I intend to remedy in the near future. I’ll see if God lets me and lets me do it again. But the girls have to be good. That means amateur. In other words, they want to be doing it. Feminine desire is the turn on for me as an empath. I don’t think I could rape anyone. A major evolutionary deficit I know. But Oh happy fault!

        • SoftStarLight October 28, 2018 at 8:08 pm #

An empath often can also sense a person’s true emotions beneath what they project. Like a mind reader in a way.

  83. It’s Sunday… Are you reading a physical paper edition of The New York Times?

    Good shit

No sir, why kill trees when you can read stuff online :-)?

      • malthuss October 28, 2018 at 12:02 pm #

Trees are a renewable resource and the tree farms keep the land from being made into malls.

        • SoftStarLight October 28, 2018 at 8:13 pm #

I like shopping but hate malls. I love trees way more :-).

        • hmuller October 28, 2018 at 8:15 pm #

They say hemp makes pretty good newspaper material, and it has other uses.

But the Sunday NY Times also has its use – if you own a tiger and need to line the cage for kitty droppings.

        • By far the most common use of recycled newspaper fiber is the creation of new newspaper. In fact, thirty percent of the recycled fiber from newsprint is used to create paper for newspapers.

So I dunno how many trees have to die.

The gadget Boyz lost interest in electronic ink paper and became fascinated with selling a hunk of rare earth metals with a tiny LED screen.

Its a red herring with no future. Look how stupid it has made people. And the “adventure” of virtual reality looks like a huge disappointment.

Maybe its time for a flexible, cool, efficient, periodically updated digital reproduction of the print edition. Yeah… I’d buy one.

I’d still prefer the real paper, because sometimes you need to burn something to make a torch to scare away the undead

The Russians are definitely not a bunch of Homos

Famous Sevastopol journalist Larisa Raevskaya (now the news service editor on one of the Russian federal channels), an athlete in the past, shared her impressions of communicating with Arab ”refugees” on the streets of Austrian town.

    https://www.russiapost.su/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/995241_1385412701711887_693123730_n.jpg

“Personally, in Vienna, I kicked up the ass the Arab who cracked his tongue in my address, and the rest covered with best Russian swearing.

They cracked their tongue at everyone, but all of these Europeans and Americans shied away, eyes downcast, and merged with the walls of the buildings. But I didn’t, just hit the goat-borne crowd that blocked the sidewalk.

In the end, with a shout of “Russia!” they fled away along Mariahilfer Strasse, like Nazis from the Red Army in April of the 45th, and some Italian applauded me from the balcony of a neighboring house, loudly chanting “Bravo!”.

BLACK GIRL SAYS BLACK PEOPLE ARE “ALL UGLY”
TV psychologist Dr. Phil McGraw looks like a balding dolphin with a 70s porn mustache. He is not above exploiting the pain and dysfunction of ordinary Americans in order to generate revenue for his spiritual master and suspected dominatrix Oprah Winfrey.
He recently profiled the dilemma of a black family whose 16-year-old daughter has the typically wacky black name of Treasure. Her mother Monique says that Treasure started having “issues with her race” at the tenderly chocolatey age of five:
She wouldn’t play with the black children. Treasure would mangle or destroy her black dolls. She would cut their heads off, pull off their arms. She would pretend that they were the white dolls’ slaves….My daughter is a racist against her own race….If you ask me, my 16-year-old daughter has a very out-of-control identity crisis. She truly believes she’s white.
Treasure confirms everything her wailin’ mama says and even takes it up a notch:
I’m white. I’m a Caucasian because everything about me is different from an African-American… When it comes to black people, I think they’re all ugly, and I have nothing in common with them… White people act and think just way more mature than African-Americans. Black people, they think in a criminal way… They’re really dangerous. If an African-American is on the same street as I am, I’ll cross the street to avoid their chaotic, thuggish ways.…African-Americans are loud, rude, obnoxious and just altogether fat and ugly.
In the tragic event that Vice President Mike Pence will no longer be with us in the year 2020, may we suggest this young lady as Donald Trump’s running mate?

No doubt it started as genuine feelings, but now her ego is involved and she using it as her vehicle towards stardom. If she succeeds, the Jews will convert her to “anti-racism” (racism against Whites) and she’ll gain fame and a Steady fortune as a speaker and presenter. They love repented sinners…..

Perhaps the most famous story in RuNet (three years ago):

“Everything happened in the city of Avignon in a local small shop. Fresh baguettes are brought there every morning – crispy and tasty. And the French line up every day for a portion of this fragrant bread. And no one from the locals is outraged that you need to wait about 10 minutes until these baguettes are laid out in special baskets.

However, it was until a certain point. Once, a real “evil” broke into the shop: five bearded Arab immigrants, who immediately took all the bread from the counter without a queue.

Loud immigrants brazenly followed to the checkout to pay for purchases, and the local could only silently watch such an injustice. The French realized that in vain they waited in a queue and they would not get baguettes, thanks to the audacity of the visitors.

No one dared to break this painful silence and appeal to justice. But suddenly the phrase in an unknown to Europeans language sounded sharply in the queue: “What kind of lawlessness is this?”

Following this, three gloomy types immediately left the crowd, and menacingly approached the arrogant Arabs. As a result, the Russians took away all the bread from the migrants, and after that something happened that completely stunned the Europeans.

The Russians took this bread and distributed one baguette to each of those standing in the queue. Moreover, even those who did not come to the store for bread could not refuse such generosity. It was only after this that the stern men took one loaf for themselves.

In the silence of the store, it was possible to hear the thoughts of Europeans: “Russians…”

    • Janos Skorenzy October 28, 2018 at 1:21 pm #

Oh you used to say Russians weren’t Europeans but Asians. Was that before your Christian phase?

Postscript: A whack-job Floridian MAGA fanboy, one Cesar Sayoc Jr., 56, arrested this morning in the case. He was assisted in his bomb-making venture by one Wile E. Coyote, of Hauchuca City, AZ. Mr. Coyote has not yet been apprehended.

Fort Huachuca, One of the Asokas was posting out of Hauchuca AFB right here several years ago. It way back in the day when I could chase DNS addresses. Hauchuca is one of the nodes on the Department of Defense network so Wile E. Coyote won’t be apprehended. His day job keeps him safe though he does have some explaining to do.

That missing drone from Fort Huachuca? It was found in Colorado

But MAGA is popular in Huachuca!

Oh, I will add one more thing: Fuck Andrew Anglin.

Fuck him for criticizing this atrocity as bad tactics, not as an atrocity. “‘There is absolutely nothing good that can come from random acts of terrorism’ due to the backlash that accompanies such an attack,” he wrote.

Also, fuck him for claiming he could have stopped the shooting.

Really, just fuck Andrew Anglin in general. And the horse he rode in on. And anyone who follows and promulgates his views. No, seriously, you burn in hell. Just go there and sizzle.

And do you think Americans should be disarmed because of THIS? Because their lives matter more? Perhaps even more than the CHILDREN!

Our lives matter just as much as theirs. And more to ourselves. And we aint givin up our rights. Not one, certainly not the 2nd, the guarantor of the other nine – not even if the Nine Ring Wraiths were to so decree.

Certainly, no one is pleased to see this tragedy. It could have been prevented with armed men at the doors. But the victim card still has some mileage left in it, it seems.

      • Exscotticus October 28, 2018 at 7:16 pm #

        >>> No, seriously, you burn in hell. Just go there and sizzle.

Now that’s the kind of “tolerance” we’ve come to expect from liberals.

Apparently, it’s OK for the Left to politicize this tragedy to push their open-borders agenda, but it’s not OK for the Right to suggest some very obvious ways it might have been prevented.

        • Elrond Hubbard October 29, 2018 at 5:59 am #

Exscotticus, I may be of the Left, but I am not ‘the Left’. I called out one specific man. It is neither wicked nor hypocritical to condemn the hateful for their very hatefulness.

Andrew Anglin’s record speaks for itself. The odium of the man and his work needs no exaggeration, and his identification with the murderer’s cause is both palpable and beyond dispute.

Let’s face it – Trump’s economic policies are completely non-liberal and absolutely genius.

Especially if you look at it from the point of view of the political situation in Washington and in view of the elections. It should be noted, by the way, that serious countries in which economic policies are determined by national elites, rather than global ones, are repeating Trump’s policy.

This all does not apply to Russia: Russian financial and economic policy is determined by representatives of the “Western” global project, that is, the comprador elites; on the contrary, they do not reduce taxes, but increase them. As a result, Trump economy started to grow, while Russian is experiencing a recession.

At the same time, it is necessary to understand that the world economy does not have a resource for growth (demand has been exhausted, it must also be maintained so that it remains at the same level), and this means that Trump carries out growth at the expense of other countries.

First of all, at the expense of its main trading partners, China and Germany.

This, by the way, explains the European Union harsh attitude towards the United States. In general, tax cuts are, in fact, stimulating the economy at the expense of the budget. But the economic growth that started in the USA will lead not only to Trump’s election victory in the midterms(most likely), but also to the fact that capital will flow to the USA. There is growth!

In general, a genius is a genius!

Good for him, I always liked the guy. Personally, I cancelled my cable service three years ago in December and am not really sure why I waited so long to send them down the crapper. The number one point that he made is one that I will remember always and use in every opportunity that I can get and that is that the mainstream scum media are in reality, vultures. Carrion feeders that prey on the newly dead for profit, a trademark they adopted during the Vietnam War with the obsession with body counts, and they still this every time there is another murder event. They are repeaters. not reporters.

      • akmofo October 29, 2018 at 6:53 am #

Calling them blood vultures is still a complement to them, because it implies that their role is passive, when in fact these Vatican/CIA lying criminal commie foreign agents are instigators of mayhem mass murder and the active mass poisoning and destruction of the population both mental and physical.

    Well, ladies and germs.

It occurred to me that Michael Jackson spent years under a doctor’s care, spent thousands of dollars in plastic surgery, skin bleaching, hair straightening, etc, to appear white…yet no one considered him white…with all the pain endured, the thousands of dollars spent, he could not “pass” for white.

Imagine Michael’s horror, if he were living today, to see a Filipino, with average features, being described as white in every news media offering? All the pain and treasure for naught.

I cannot accept that a man smart enough to tape together a few simple components was unintentional in creating nonexplosive devices.

The government’s prosecution might claim he was just not dumb enough to blow himself up inside the van. Either way I think details will emerge that will enable the political expediency of a full pardon from President Donald J.
