This week I did some digging—not opinion pieces, not partisan rants, just raw numbers and the bureaucratic language behind them. What I found was this: In 2024, the Biden administration deported 3,706 people labeled as “suspected or convicted gang members.” That’s not conjecture—that’s straight from the Department of Homeland Security. And yet somehow, this mass removal didn’t generate a whisper from the mainstream press. No headlines. No think pieces. No somber profiles on NPR.

So I kept digging, trying to understand what “suspected” meant. Who was doing the suspecting? What was the threshold? Was there evidence, or just vibes?

Turns out, it wasn’t much different than how gang affiliations were “identified” under Trump. Tattoos. Neighborhoods. Associations. A traffic stop where the passenger looked nervous. A Facebook post. Nothing that would hold up in court. Nothing that involves a jury or a judge or even a clear accusation. Just a label. Stamped. Processed. Deported.

And here’s where it gets Orwellian. Under Biden, there were no names released. No mugshots. No profiles. No gang names even mentioned. Just numbers—clean, faceless numbers. Like they were vanishing data rows instead of people, it was “border enforcement” by spreadsheet. No story, no resistance. And because it was wrapped in technocratic language and not Trump’s Twitter feed, the media let it slide.

Compare that to what happened when Trump named names. When he put a face, a label, a life on someone—Kilmar Abrego Garcia, for example—the media went into full-on martyr mode. Senator Chris Van Hollen is now at the airport with a carry-on bag full of due process arguments, ready to fly to El Salvador and bring Kilmar back to his family. A restraining order filed by Kilmar’s wife in 2021? Not mentioned. Doesn’t fit the arc.

This isn’t about protecting immigrants. This is about optics. One president plays the quiet bureaucrat, another plays the loud demagogue—and both disappear people. The difference is only who we’re told to feel bad for.

So here’s the truth: I’m not here to defend Trump. I’m not here to bash Biden. I’m here to point out the perverse theater of it all. If deporting 3,706 “suspected” gang members is okay under Biden, but a constitutional crisis under Trump, then we’ve lost the plot.

Due process doesn’t care who’s in office. But apparently, the media does.

And no, the Democrats won’t win anything running on this. It’s not a winning issue, it’s not even a coherent one. It’ll be forgotten by the time midterms roll around—replaced by a new face, a new outrage, a new hill to die on. If they’re smart, they’ll stop elevating murky cases like Kilmar’s as banner causes. Because in a campaign built on contradictions, the only thing that grows is the doubt.

Did Trump make a big fuss over Kill-mar? Maybe there was an announcement but I don't recall it. I suspect something else is at work here. Kill-mar isn't your garden variety MS-13 apparatchik. He's an asset, perhaps the CIA's or the DNC's dirty tricks outfit. Drugs and human trafficking seem to be his professional remit. The Dems have gone all-in on Kill-mar and assaulted us with a firehose of propaganda we haven't seen since George Floyd. There has to be more to this story.

As has been mentioned before many times, the Biden Mob WAS different, open borders. Why did they risk so much political capital on Mayorkas tripe? Why?

Money, plain and simple. Cooperation with Mexican cartels and maybe all the way to China. Money, in the form of drugs murdering Americans and human smuggling and slavery. All Mob expertises! Money funneled into the political machines in Washington, DC. Money used to try to destroy Trump and MAGA, the only roadblock in the way of the Mob machine operating in perpetuity.

For those that think there is no difference? The Mob machine will not operate very well with a relatively closed border. It is not finished yet, but continuation of building the walls, hiring ICA and border patrol folks, and better sonar and radar monitoring is going to put a huge dent in future plans for the Mob.

A thought, with Trump staying in place, where is the Mob going to sell their goods? Where is Hollywood et al going to get their drugs? Where are rich going to get their slaves? Questions that will be answered over the next 4 yrs -100 days. Hint, hint: Watch out Europe, watch out Canada. Where are you going to build your walls to stop the invader?

OBTW, who exactly is funding all this? Who is right in the middle of it, providing resources for the Mob? Take your pick. Consider too that it may not be Xi’s CCP, but the Chinese edition of the Mob.

John----to answer your question, I think the people funding all of this are the same suckers that funded all the illegals travel costs-------US Taxpayers. Buried in all of the alphabet agencies are disbursements to NGOs that in turn disburse the funds to whomever the Dem/Marxists have hired as foot soldiers to accomplish what they need done. It is similar to the family of the guy being executed by firing squad having to pay the cost of the bullet to kill him. Xi's CCP is just looking on with amazement/amusement that they do not have to pay anything for the Dem/Marxists to try to destroy their own country.

Do you think Hunter Biden would be above consorting with the cartels to fund his drugs and whores ? If he can grovel to the Ukrainian criminals, I am sure he would have no trouble dealing with the cartels.

The Democrats aren't going to die on this hill. They won as soon as they started crying.

This current drama has, I think, at least two purposes. And neither of them is what is being portrayed by the media.

One is, of course to demonize Trump. The TDS-sufferers have been rending their garments and gnashing their teeth since the selection, think of how much further around the bend they can be driven over the next four years.

Another is to "normalize" illegal immigration. "Nobody's illegal!!!" They're all loving fathers, devoted mothers, and Nobel laureate children. And we NEED them!!

This year it's a "suspected member of MS-13". Next year it will be a known member of the Sinaloa Cartel - "but such a loving father!!" And "He'll have his civil rights violated by the Gulf Cartel if we force him to return home!!"

Whether Kilmar makes his hero's return or not, the Democrats will have increased their infatuation with illegal immigrants and their hatred of Trump. It doesn't matter that the Trump-haters won't remember the events that ratcheted up their hatred. All that matters is that they hate him more than ever.

Deporting 3706 "suspected" gang members and using a rounded off rough estimate of 10,000,000 immigrants under Biden's watch is slightly more than 0.03%. Nothing to get excited or brag about. You claim the issue is due process, where was your commentary on the lack of due process when it came to J6 prisoners who were left to rot in jail waiting for trial dates. I think your truth and point is lost on those who value decency and the responsibility of government to protect it's citizens.

Expand full comment
Michael Arturo's avatar

Okay, Cosmo, you need to take a deep breath. We’re not discussing J6 prisoners here and you’re absolutely right about their due process being violated and coercion being applied. I know all about it. I’m not discussing that. I am saying as far as my research goes there is no difference or very little difference between the lack of due process both Biden and Trump were and are applying to suspected gang members but during Biden, they were “statistics” under Trump “ripe for political narratives”. As far as I’m concerned, the only due process necessary is whether or not they are in the country legally. If not, they should be deported. Suspected gang member or not.

Basically, the establishment, legacy media, didn't really do their job when Biden was President. They molded opinion by selectively lying. They pushed a narrative. They even concealed President Biden's mental condition.

Now, the establishment, legacy media IS doing their job--selectively, that is. They are molding opinions by putting the flashlight to the Trump Administration's oversights.

Just because they didn't report on Biden's excesses and infractions of the Constitution does not mean they should not report on Trump's.

~ The Embedded Sociocultural Disconnects & Cognitive Dissonance Paradox ~

The problem is a paradox:

As a historically, fundamentally small-scale, generalist social species in a sufficiently-complex, larger-scale society that depends on hyperspecialization, we need everyone doing their jobs pretty much effectively and conscientiously.

But we are not bees, ants or termites, not as simple and too complex as individuals, so we don't do our jobs like that, like bees, ants or termites. The termite mound is a marvel of communism; the wild cat, a marvel of individualistic anarchy; the human, something in-between, but also currently in social setups that are at once out-of-scale and decoupled from our 'natural wiring' and, as such, fundamentally cognitively dissonant...

They demand intelligence for complexity and hyperspecialization, but that very complexity and hyperspecialization leads to oversimplicity in the hypespecialized spheres, which leads to repetition, stagnation, boredom, corruption and, according to some tentative research, even a loss of intelligence.

Essentially, an overscaled hyperspecialized human society leads to a kind of lobotomy and dislocation/disconnect from nature, its complexities, and how our ancestors lived within it and the contexts of their families, tribes and villages.

When some of us talk about our mad world, it's not far from the truth: The world we've created around us like a prison is out-of-scale and detached from our small-scale tribal wiring.

Could you provide a source/link for "the Biden administration deported 3,706 people labeled as 'suspected or convicted gang members' in 2024"?

I'm scouring the web, but can't find that info. The best I can find is AI's summary that "In 2024, the DHS, through ICE, arrested 1,155 criminal gang members."

Thanks.

Expand full comment
Michael Arturo's avatar

Biden deported 270,000 immigrants in 2024, the most in the last ten years, an effort to stem the tide of resentment he’d built with Americans over his first three years in office. 32% of them had criminal records, according to CNN. According to DHS documents and ICE, 3706 people deported in 2024 were either suspected or “convicted” gang members. They don’t go into details on what they were convicted of nor what differentiates them from “suspected.” And from that, I’m extrapolating that must mean whatever due process they received was minimal if any at all. And from that, I’m relating how Garcia was treated, which sounds no different than how he might have been treated under Biden. Furthermore, Biden’s ICE and DHS, didn’t name the gangs or the affiliates, which in some sense, is worse than what Trump has done by putting names and faces on gang members. Some of my research turned up how Biden’s ICE determined one was a gang member and it went as far as social media posts, dress code and third party sources. That too is no differnt than Trump. SO the numbers are really that important. Whether it’s 3706 or 1155, they are being treated more or less the same. The difference is Biden allowed the media to look the other way, Trump is rubbing their face in it.

Everything comes down to Congress. Not Trump. Not Biden. Congress. The United States Congress is an absolutely dismal failure from the top to the bottom. It needs to be destroyed. Removed. Here is my "conspiracy theory," though like many other conspiracy theories put forth by conservatives, I suspect that there is a really good chance that it's true. Here it is:

If one starts to work backwards from Kilmar, the MS-13 gangbanger, and all the Democrat swine rushing to his defense, you then get to all the gangs supported by the Mexican drug cartels. Go back from there, you get the Communist Chinese supplying the cartels with all of nasty stuff to make fentanyl. If you are then wondering why the Democrat swine--from Congressmen to leftist judges--seem to be all in on protecting Kilmar, et al--and making sure that they are staying in the U.S., it just seems very possible that those Democrats are being fed a good load of laundered "dark" money from the ChiComms, via the cartels, washed through a bunch of leftist-controlled NGO's and unexamined federal "Swamp money" pointed the Democrats way. Think of it, the ChiComms weakening U.S. internally via drugs and corruption while making its treasonous Democrat operatives rich along the way. Not to mention that the Soros family is likely also in on the deal.

Then comes Trump, who throws the turd in the punch bowl by declaring that the illegal aliens will be deported, the borders secured against the traffickers, and that DOGE will be sniffing around all that Swamp and NGO money that has been doled out without oversight. It all sparks of a Chinese Communist government working to destroy the U.S. economically (when they're not trying to do it directly with viruses) from within, using an entire American political party--the Democrats--totally infiltrated and compromised by traitors likely on the take from their ChiComm, Mexican cartel , and Soros masters. That sounds like the plot from a really shitty horror movie, but sadly, it may be actually true. Truth is, the U.S. is at war with the ChiComms and the Mexican cartels, along with the treasonous Democrats supporting both--the problem is that, at least so far, it is only they, not law-abiding, working Americans, who are doing all of the killing.
