Leaving Blobtopia

A nation can only take so much corruption, crime, and unreality.  ”We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality,” said Karl Rove, veteran blobster and advisor to George W. Bush, when he uttered those fateful words. Even political junkies forget the rest of what he said:

And while you’re studying that reality — judiciously, as you will — we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.”

Old Karl was being too polite, you understand. What he meant to say is: We’re gonna lay trip after trip on you, all of you smart-asses watching the political scene until your over-mis-educated Ivy League brains turn into something that resembles a patty-melt so that you’re lost in a fog of incoherent blabbery, parroting whatever nonsense we proffer as we asset-strip what’s left of Western Civ.

What they call “the cognitive infrastructure” of we-the-people has been twisted, crinkled, folded, looped, and twiddled until it’s nearer a state of criticality than the ten-thousand rusted-out bridges on our county roads. This week, the FCC board voted to adopt new rules to “prevent and eliminate digital discrimination.” Sounds great, huh? Reality check: I do not think that the words mean what you think they mean. They are, rather, an invitation to the rest of the US government — any malicious blob-driven agency — to meddle with the Internet, block content that they don’t like, and conduct mind-fuckery operations to their heart’s delight. Uh-oh, I think they just destroyed the Internet.

Empire is a cruel business, especially as it unwinds. But the sore-beset people of this land may be tiring of alternate realities as the absurdities mount and the immense friction of official bad faith heats up to the point of ignition. For instance, the “news” leaked late Thursday that Special Counsel Robert Hur expects to not charge anyone in connection with the “Joe Biden” documents case. How come? Reasons. Whew, that was swift justice, compared to the Chinese fire drill instigated by that same DOJ against Mr. Trump in the Mar-a-Lago document case.

The DC blob, once so sumptuously comfortable in the days of Karl Rove and Bush II, is actually fighting for its life now, hoping desperately to not be crushed under the rubble of the institutions it is so busy toppling, such as the Department of Justice. Note to blob: if you render the Internet useless, you will accelerate the trend to local autarky. Your diktats will be ignored as government-by-blob drowns in debt, chaos, and impotence. If necessary, we-the-people will return to the traditional printing press and report on what we can actually see and hear in the vicinity around us.

In the meantime, your ability to lay trips on us is losing its mojo. You couldn’t have conjured up a more preposterous front-man for your operation than “Joe Biden.” Imagine what it was like at that long table in San Francisco when the delegation led by President Xi of China sat across from this broken old grifter and his nervous minders. The look of anguish on Tony Blinken’s sagging puss told the whole story. The point of the “summit meeting” was (for our side) to pretend, for show, that we could negotiate anything with China; the point (for China) was to show the world that America is an old whipped dog.

From where they sat in Frisco, Xi’s point men could view California’s stupendously productive Central Valley and calculate how much better China could run the place. (Did Governor Newsom already sell it to Xi on his recent visit to Beijing?) Remember: North America’s civilization is about four thousand years younger than China’s — as if those conquistadors, pilgrims, and cavaliers got here virtually last night, threw the wildest party ever, trashed the joint, and then woke up after losing twenty percent of their brain cells on ketamine and vodka.

Surely you’ve noticed the two wars underway in the other hemisphere. Our special event in Ukraine is going so poorly that the very Director of the CIA, William Burns, paid a not-so-secret call on President Zelensky Wednesday. Usually, this sort of call from one polity to another is performed by diplomats. How many of you noticed that Mr. Burns is not a diplomat? Rather, he is the blob’s consigliere, the very guy you don’t want to show up at your door with a message. You might wake up tomorrow with a horse’s severed head under the sheets. Or maybe his message is, we’ve got a nice cozy villa for you down in sunny Tristan da Cunha….

That war is a lost cause, and the cause was extremely stupid in the first place. Do you even remember what it was? I’ll tell you: to prod Russia into destroying itself. Oh? But why? Because, you know . . . Russia (and Trump!). There is your blob logic. Cost us something like $150 billion, a large part of that distributed among Mr. Zelensky’s circle while he sacrificed a whole generation of his country’s young men to Russian artillery fire and leaves what’s left of his sad-ass land an economic basket-case.

America is also taking the heat for the Israeli-Gaza war. The reality — for those of you interested in reality — is that Bibi is doing what Bibi needs to do whether America likes it or not: a large-scale root-canal on this troublesome region, going literally deep beneath the surface to clean the rot of Hamas out from that underground tunnel world they squandered their people’s capital building. Do you think Bibi and Company do not know that the whole world is watching how they go about this operation? And do you suppose they are trying as hard as possible to not harm Hamas’s human shields? Yes, Israel’s IDF is going about this methodically and carefully, and they are determined to get the job done, no matter how many undergraduate nose-rings scream their lungs out on the Champs Elysées.

So, at this juncture, various parties are gaming out World War Three and, let’s face it, that move just doesn’t really look good for anybody. All the clever moves — Hezbollah, Iran, Turkey — just end up in an ashtray, one way or another. This would have been true whether we sent those aircraft carrier groups or not.

Which brings us back to our land and our own troubles and our own despondent population watching everything in their lives go south. That’s the reality that can’t be switched out on command anymore. That’s the reality worth “studying.” Everybody sees something like force majeure coming at them. Bad money . . . lawlessness . . . breakdown . . . hunger . . . . You can thank the blob for all of that. It’s possible to manage our affairs plainly, justly, fairly, honestly, prudently. We’ll get there. But you have to give reality the respect it deserves, just as you would if God came before you and asked if you’d behaved decently in this life. Would you try to bullshit God?

Something disjointed in this missive. On the one hand we’re told that America is a sorry-assed country that can’t repair it’s bridges and Xi comes to tell us we’re history. But, then, we’re told America can wipe out all the bad guys and establish peace on Earth in the Mideast.

    • Uncle Abraham November 17, 2023 at 10:29 am #

That’s your unwarranted and misguided interpretation of what’s been written.

I think he mistyped his handle. That first “o” was supposed to be an “i.”

Says you, shotho happens to be right. We cannot even take care of our own people and infrastructure as we watch China expand its Road and rail programs across Asia, into Europe and across Africa.

            Don’t confuse can’t with won’t.

    • Cankerpuss November 17, 2023 at 10:58 am #

The way I interpret this missive is that America is a mess and ultimately the blob will destroy itself and it will be left to the remnants to bring back sanity and common sense.

America as we knew it is finished. We all know it. Nobody pays off $32 trillion in debt (public) and another $30-$70 trillion (private). We are living on borrowed fake money and borrowed time. We have a Congress who is like the ostrich in the old Looney Tunes commercial that sticks its head in the sand to avoid scary stuff. They have no interest in correcting anything and they have pissed away all of their authority so now all they really are is a bunch of self righteous hucksters who hold meaningless hearings on everything. Even if we had a Congress that wanted to balance the budget, pay off the debt and get our affairs in order, the amount is far too great, the economy is far too gone, the treasury is far too pilfered and the people are far too corrupt.

      Big changes are coming.

      • Qwibqwib November 17, 2023 at 5:47 pm #

“pay off the debt” – This is HILARIOUS! “The Debt” is just the money that we are supposed to pay “The Fed” for the “Service” of printing our money for us. Totally BULLSHIT in every way.

As a country, we do not owe any “debt”. The “laws” which set up the Federal reserve (the third one in our history BTW, meaning the other two were dissolved) are null and void because they violate the Constitution. Individuals can surely owe individual debt, but “public” debt is a made up, bullshit thing…

        • benr November 18, 2023 at 7:12 am #

Some of that is true BUT it is also payment of bonds bought at low interest rates to those who purchased them to fund government.

          • Qwibqwib November 18, 2023 at 1:20 pm #

Can you tell me who issues the bonds and why?

          • benr November 19, 2023 at 8:44 am #

Better let the system explain it.

This is public debt we the people have to pay back to who ever buys the bond.
The buyer can be a rich person not likely.
A corporation or another country and yes the Fed can and does often issue the bond and wave the magic wand to make the money appear buying it themselves.
There is however payment to someone somewhere.

Under Bidens liver spotted hand another downgrade has been declared of US ability to pay back these bonds.
This has only happened one other time and that was under Barry the second worst resident behind Biden to ever hold office as Resident in the Whitehouse.

How could you misunderstand what he said so completely?

He said that Netanyahu is cleaning out Hamas, whether the US likes it or not.

How did you get “America is establishing peace in the Mideast” from that?

      • Jarek November 17, 2023 at 12:29 pm #

Because Israel depends on US funding? We don’t need them, they need us but since they control us, we are them in a very real sense.

      • ThorsHammer November 17, 2023 at 3:03 pm #

Well Jim, glad to see that you are firmly on the side of genocide of the sub humans occupying their ancestral lands in Palestine. 6,000 children (AKA future terrorists) and counting.

Now for the rest of the story. Two test wells offshore of the Gaza Israeli managed concentration camp were drilled before Hamas grew to be the dominant political force in Gaza. They uncovered a giant natural gas field estimated at half a trillion $$$$ in value. That would be enough LNG to send Germany and the EU well on the way to economic recovery after having been cut off from cheap, long term Russian gas supplies flowing through the NordStream underwater pipelines that the USA had bombed. Imagine the threat that would be posed if the revenues from that field had gone to the Palestinians instead of to Israel and BP/Exon etc?

So that is why your country Israel and its bankster Godfather USA has to create its own Holocaust in Gaza. carpet bomb the cities, murder all the children, and chase any survivors out into the desert.

        • ThorsHammer November 17, 2023 at 7:45 pm #

I tend to cut to the chase when posting on sites like this where most posts (and I assume readers) tend to be one sentence expressions of pre-concieved ideology or religion. If you want to read a more lengthy discussion of Israel’s nuclear weapons development program (while it was surrounded by regional neighbors armed mainly with 50 year old WWII AK47’s,) go to Consortium News’ most recent article by Scott Ritter.

Actions do have consequences. As did the US use of nuclear bombs against Japanese civilian cities in WWII providing an example that other countries are bound to eventually follow.

        • Uncle Bob November 17, 2023 at 11:31 pm #

Hamas spent over two years planning the attacks they launched in October, with help from Iran, no doubt funded by money the crooked Delaware fuckhead and his bosses sent to Tehran. 75% of “Palestinians” (formerly known as “Arabs” and “bedouins” in previous generations) supported the attacks. But they’re poor innocents who are being screwed out of money by the Jew bastards, and therefore they’re justified in gang-raping Israeli women, in some cases to death, and stuffing children into ovens to be baked to death. Why not? They’re just filthy kikes, not noble people like the PLO heroes who blow up school buses, launch rockets into schools, and aren’t allowed into other countries because of their past attempts to overthrow Jordan’s government. And look! — a letter written by the blessed martyr, Osama bin Laden, has materialized online to educate simpleton Americans into believing America is the worst place on Earth, Israel is second-worst, and the only solution is to destroy both countries and establish a global caliphate. No thanks.

          • benr November 18, 2023 at 7:17 am #

Uncle Bob you are railing at a group of people brainwashed by Marxist rhetoric.
Nothing will get through to them till they get the literal living hell Marxism and Socialism always brings to the masses of dumbasses.

    • hmuller November 17, 2023 at 12:51 pm #

Speaking of Xi’s visit, Biden’s wandering mind called him a dictator – much to the Secretary of State’s dismay.

But what is a dictator? Someone who holds the highest office in the land without winning it in a fair election. So you go, Joe. Expose all that illegitimacy, corruption, and hypocrisy. LOL

      • ThorsHammer November 17, 2023 at 3:27 pm #

That describes every American election two since Eisenhower.

        • ThorsHammer November 17, 2023 at 3:28 pm #

          every American election since Eisenhower.

        • hmuller November 19, 2023 at 9:28 am #

Do you suppose Biden reprimanded Xi for not promoting more transexuals to become generals in the Chinese Army?

    • Socrates-Detroit November 17, 2023 at 3:35 pm #

Yes. Well, according to ME, America has wasted trillions of dollars on so-called “defense” (Vietnam, Yugoslavia, Iraq, Afghanistan, gold-plated weapons that enrich defense contractors, lobbyists, elected officials the Pentagon, even if the stuff doesn’t always work well, or even work) even as the US apparently is powerless to prevent a “peaceful invastion” by immigrants.

According to JHK, America has wasted trillions, and I paraphrase, “in suburbia, the biggest waste of resources, an unsustainable living arrangement, etc..”

And yet, this broke, and NOW broken, US of A has been forever subsidizing this European colonial outpost in the Middle East.

Maybe Na–z-i Germany made Israel possible; Clusterf*ck Nation
      definitely made Israel viable.

I certainly appreciate why our host would support his own people. I would, and do, the same.

But to say “Netanyahu is doing what must be done”, is unfortunate, wrong, and despicable.

To mock people who are opposed to the Israeli bombing and blockade as “undergraduates in nose rings” is pathetic.

You can’t have it both ways. You can’t write on NOV 03 in “Jewish-American dilemma” about how great American Jew are and how bad discrimination was:

“… Mostly this expressed itself in Jewish support and involvement in the Civil Rights movement, since the end of discrimination against anybody was considered a good thing for the Jews as well as humanity in general…”

and then write that “Netenyahu is doing what is necessary” today

So, you’re saying that unlike Jews or Africans, Palestinians don’t deserve have the same rights, or even breathe the same air, as Israeli Jews? Is that it?

The discrimination African-Americans faced, then affectionately referred to as “nig**rs”, by most Americans, North and South, during the worst of Jim Crow was a walk in the park compared the life of Palestinians.

The Palestinians have been abused since 1948–only the magnitude of abuse varies. Everyone thought they were “under control” in 2023–just like a lot of Americans probably wished “those negroes would just behave and be patient” back in the 1950s and 1960s.

Well, unlike the Black Panthers, Hamas struck for real on Oct 07–just like the Tet Offensive in Vietnam.

“Destroy Hamas” is code for “Destroy the Palestinians” which means keep killing them till they leave, or otherwise, “regrettably” are “collateral damage”.

That’s what Netenyahu and his ilk believe in necessary. That is what they are doing.

And guess what? I think he’ll get away with.

But when CFN goes down the drain, since those “big complex systems” as JHK used to say (and SELECTIVELY still says) are going down the drain, then Israel will have a big problem. And no US of A to save it’s a$$.

In the meantime, I hope many or most of the surviving Palestinians come to the US, and I hope they settle in upstate New York and the so-called “Bible Belt” small towns of the south–the ones that fought Jim Crow hardest.

Unlike most Americans today, they are tough and should do a better job on small farms. A lot of them are, or WERE farmers, before Israeli settlers took their farms and land and water.

Because while Bibi will probably succeed in removing all the Palestinians from Palestine, he won’t be able to kill all of them, and there will be a lot of them left. And as Israel’s enabler, America deserves them.

      • elysianfield November 17, 2023 at 5:11 pm #

“Well, unlike the Black Panthers, Hamas struck for real…”

        Well SD,
Actually the Panthers struck first. But I would accept an argument based on the matter of scale.

      • Mac November 17, 2023 at 7:56 pm #

Soc- Some good points there, bro, but I’m not sure the current crop of Palestinians know how to grow crops. Gaza has been a massive welfare state for years. Lots of unemployed youth with no skills and a lot of anger. In that sense, they are similar to the AA community in CFN. Shelby Steele has pointed out that when blacks were given freedom, they rejected it or, more accurately, were induced and seduced by Democrats to run from it. I suspect if we brought Palestians here, we would just be importing another large, disgruntled underclass. Not surprising that some Democrats want to bring them here. My guess is that Netanyahu wants to send them here and throughout the West as well.

        • Socrates-Detroit November 17, 2023 at 10:23 pm #

I wasn’t so much referring to the Gazans as farmers, as the West Bank.

And I hope they come here, yes!

Why shouldn’t they? The US government lets everyone else in.

          • Uncle Bob November 17, 2023 at 11:36 pm #

West Bank = Judea, the area from which we get the word “Jew.”

Another heartfelt panegyric to the George Floyds of the ME. I’m curious though, are you this moved by the myriad other injustices going on across the globe? No love for the Uighurs or the Armenians? How about the Rohingya in Myanmar? Nothing? Did you give even a quarter of a shit about Rwanda?

Or is it just this one? Because if it is just this one, that does sound like the nose-ring bleating social justice subhumans jumping on the oppression du jour bandwagon.

No thanks btw on the extra Palestinians coming here. Seeing American flags replaced by Palestinian flags and the mostly peaceful protests and the virtually inevitable terror incidents coming down the pike, “mass deportation” has a nice ring to it.

        • Socrates-Detroit November 18, 2023 at 10:19 am #

          @King of Comedy

Actually, I am a supporter of the Armenians, the extent I mentioned them as a reason to stop aid to Turkey more than once in writing to congressmen/women.

Until the past 10 years, Israel and Turkey were great buddies.

But the US didn’t subsidize the Turks when they killed the Armenians.

In fact, the Armenians just got hammered again–and according to this guy, your Israeli friends helped Azerbaijan eliminate some more Armenians.

          original.antiwar.com/james-carden/2023/11/15/israels-other-war-ethnic-cleansing-in-the-south-caucasus/

Israel is one of the few countries that has NOT recognized the Armenian Holocaust—even though Hit-ler himself said, to paraphrase, “..no one talks of the Armenians today, in the future they won’t talk about the Jews either..” And yet, Israel supports the Turkish account of “casualties of war”.

Now we can see why–they’ve been planning the same thing all along.

Obviously, I can’t know every victimized group–and it’s not my problem–unless the US is subsidizing these acts with my tax money, or engaging in them (Vietnam, Iraq, Serbia)

To the best of my knowledge, the US government, the American taxpayer, did not subsidize the Third Reich to support their “final solution”.

But the US government has subsidized Israel, and Israeli governments (PLURAL), including this one’s Israeli Final Solution.

Tell us about Myanmar and Uigiurs. Is the US giving their oppressors billions every year?

What are you going to tell us next? That Einstein was antisemitic because he signed his name to a letter in 1948 calling out Begin and Irgun for murdering Palestinians?

          jewishvoiceforlabour.org.uk/article/from-the-archives-fascism-and-terrorism-in-israel-einstein-and-others/

I don’t see Netenyahu’s son running home to support the war. You seem to agree with Bibi. Perhaps you should consider going in his place?

And, with all due respect to every one here, I don’t think there are many George Floyd types among the Palestinians. Among the Israelis, perhaps. However, a cursory glance of West Bank news will show that there are MANY Derek Chauvin types among the Israelis for sure.

          • King of Comedy November 18, 2023 at 12:32 pm #

I don’t do the lazy cheat of “antisemitism” any more than I do the “Islamophobia” nonsense. I’ve said it before but this is largely like a sporting contest where you favor team A over team B, the reasons for doing so being fundamentally irrational. I couldn’t care less about the Palestinians or the others I listed. Truth be told I don’t really care about the Israelis either. For me, the consideration is fundamentally this: the progressive vermin (as the Biggest Worstest Threat To Democracy would say) are all about “decolonization” and this conflict, much like The Spanish Civil War was to WWII, is the dress rehearsal. If you don’t think this is coming to a town near you, I have a bridge to sell to your fellow travelers and you. Don’t get me wrong, I think that the decolonialists will find the “colonizers” in this country heavily armed and highly motivated and that the decolonialists will make Hamas look like the Waffen SS in terms of military prowess but that’s neither here nor there, bottom line is that the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Interesting that you mention Chauvin. Recently released documents from a sexual harassment suit involving the Minneapolis DA’s office shows that the coroner actually found that there was no indication Floyd died of neck compression but wondered what course of action to take when “the evidence didn’t fit the narrative”. That sounds remarkably similar to the “genocide” hysteria vis-a-vis Gaza. I wonder if the hysterics will have the intellectual honesty to acknowledge reality when the time comes but I’m not holding my breath.

          • Jarek November 18, 2023 at 1:50 pm #

In Burma, the rape monkeys started up their usual tricks of not only raping women but setting meditating monks on fire. The Buddhists stomped them and all right minded people cheered. Did you cheer, Soc-Det?

        • Paula D November 18, 2023 at 11:34 am #

Most Americans do care about the groups you mentioned…..or, at least, did, back when their claimed oppression was used by the Mighty Wurlitzer to drum up support for US imperial aims in those countries.

Once the music stops, though, the concern also stops.

Hence, for instance, the “genocide” in Darfur. As soon as the US got the split of Sudan accomplished, the concern went away. (And note that the current concern about the permanence of current borders and the inviolability of territorial integrity didn’t apply to Sudan. Odd, that. Same with Yugoslavia, for that matter.)

Kony 2012 was a Big Thing for awhile, but once the US got their bases in central Africa, the Mighty Wurlitzer stopped playing, and the public quit caring.

Same with “Save our Girls” in Nigeria. Anyone care about those girls’ fate any more?

Yeah, what about them Uighurs, amirite? Their plight gets drug up now and then.
Ever notice that the Muslim countries don’t get caught up in the propaganda about the Uighurs?
That’s because they know that the US version of “Oppressing Innocent Muslims” about Uighur terrorists is just not true.

And a country that has killed over 2,000,000 people in the name of stopping Muslim terrorism in the last 22 years doesn’t actually have standing to point fingers at re-education camps.

Maybe, if the descendants of Arabs, Ogoenicians and Philistines we call “Palestinians” hadn’t voted against the original two state solution, therefore setting off the 1948 war and all the subsequent fun, this whole thing could’ve been averted. Instead, they began their Hitlerian campaign to exterminate all Jews whom they perceive to be in their way, going so far as to turn pipes into supply water to their people into rockets to be used to kill Jews. I feel bad for the people who don’t know any better, but for the ones who have a clue but still pursue this madness, there’s only one apt reward — and it ain’t a stein of cold Warsteiner in a tavern.

I can see the crazy laughter that must have engulfed the plane on the way back to China. Xi frequently looked like he wanted to start chuckling during the meeting.

    • cowbell81 November 17, 2023 at 10:47 am #

After taking one good hard look at old Slo Joe, Xi will give the order to invade and take over Taiwan any day now. Then it will really get real.

        @cowbell81

Xi doesn’t need to invade Taiwan. That isn’t the Chinese way. All Xi needs to do is wave their success in nano-chip manufacturing technology in their faces and that will be more than enough to cause the opposition in Taiwan to beg for admission to China and triumph in the upcoming election.

      • jackrabbit November 17, 2023 at 5:02 pm #

Behold the great insightful world-renowned political scientist known as cowbell as emerges w a strong declaration! Yeah, China’s invasion of Taiwan ain’t going to happen soon.

      • Qwibqwib November 17, 2023 at 6:07 pm #

How would China do that, I wonder? You know, without a Navy or any real Armored corps? Should the Chinese swim across the channel, considering they have next to ZERO landing craft in their “Navy”? How long do you think their “aircraft carrier(s)” would remain floating in that scenario? I wonder if the Russian pilots flying Chinese knock off Migs from those carriers would be OK with invasion?

Why would China invade Taiwan? Can you give any good reasons? You realize that the high tech shit is all wired with explosives, and targeted by more than a few country’s strategic weapons, right? Do you think China would still want the chip manufacturing plants if they were just a pile of smoking ash? BTW, they know this…

China is playing, and always has played the long game. The loooooooong game, for thousands of years. They will acquire the hi-tech shizz in/on Taiwan via politics and business. The people of the island nation will elect a China friendly .gov who will unite with the mainland. That is the plan. There will be no invasion.

        • ThorsHammer November 17, 2023 at 7:56 pm #

Agreed: In this case the long game will probably finish with the next election in Taiwan and a political movement toward the inevitable reconciliation with mainland China and rejection of the West’s “rules based Orders.”

My son does not look white at all. He has round eyes but he is a lil brown dood fo sho. He could easily pull off a Mexico City Immigrant backstory. He is also learning Mexican Spanish. His school is probably more than 50% Hispanic. We live in a Hispanic world here, and I like it that way.

Let it be heard and known by those who love Truth and Justice – Israel will prevail no matter how many come against it. The God of Israel, Jesus Christ, is their Savior and is with them against the blasphemer and imposter prophet Muhammad. He will free the Muslims from their delusion and the Jews from their blindness to His identity, just as He did with Saul of Tarsus. This is Reality and our only hope.

It is not supposed to end well, hence the reasons for what Uncle Abraham is stating. The term rubbilize is more suiting to this style of war either way.
Israel should warn the areas they intend to rubbelize and then lower the boom.
Then move to the next section till even the tunnels are full of rubble.
Once there is nothing left there will be nothing to fight over and we will never have to hear the ridiculous word hamas.

        • Cankerpuss November 17, 2023 at 11:03 am #

Remember, Uncle A, that Israel is not just the Jews. The house of Israel consists of 13 tribes including Ephraim and Mannesseh. Ten of those tribes were taken captive and eventually migrated and settled in Europe, Brittain and Scandinavia. Ultimately those tribes colonized what has become known as the “west” and from the west God made good on his promises to Father Abraham. I believe what you have said but I also believe that God will save his people and those people are ALL of Israel and ALL of those adopted into the house of Israel through belief on the one true Son of God, Jesus Christ.

Nope. The little hats lost their title as God’s people. The nation of Israel is actually the body of believers, a host if you will, not a country. God has CURSED the USA ever since we started to support Israel (the country). People who believe this zionist bullshit will quote the scriptures and say the country who stands with Israel will be blessed by God. USA has absolutely NOT been blessed, prove me wrong…

Individuals can accept Christ as their savior, for sure, but the nation of Israel has chosen another as their “savior”. BTW, did you know that the joos do not in fact claim Jesus as their savior. Where on earth did you get that idea?

The synagogue of Satan is absolutely NOT the chosen. Why do you think that? It is so counter productive. The god of Israel the country is Mammon, good sir. Prove me wrong…

          • Uncle Bob November 18, 2023 at 12:04 am #

The United States is under divine judgment for crooked courts and legislatures, dishonest business practices, warmongering, and holding up the slaughter of 63+ million of its citizens and forced sterilization of millions of others as a “right” to be celebrated. At one time, our leaders asked for God’s blessings; we now demand them, arrogantly telling someone infinitely above our pay grade to give us what we want NOW, or else. Churches and temples avoid entire aspects of doctrine, instead focusing on making people feel bad for not donating enough money while excusing sinful behavior (murdering your children, for example) without seeking forgiveness for their sins. We’re an evil, corrupt, selfish people — none of which has a fucking thing to do with our supposed national friendship with Israel.

Last, you’re an antisemitic bigot with no fucking understanding of scripture beyond the ways you distort it to feed your hatred of Jews. Bet you carved a hakenkreuz into your forehead and wear a red armband in public.

Anyway, the stuff you listed as reasons the USA is cursed are plagues put upon the peoples of the USA. Our nation has been given over to a reprobate mind. That, among other things, is our punishment for NOT supporting the true Israel, which is converted and saved Christians.

I don’t hate Jews you silly man, woman, uncle? Whatever. I think it’s funny how in your mind, either someone agrees with you, or they are an anti-semite.

          • Socrates-Detroit November 18, 2023 at 10:51 am #

@Degrowth Find and read “The Samson Option” by Seymour Hersh.

It’s about 50 years old. In the Old Testament, Samson destroyed his enemies and himself. Samson was, in the end, a most effective kamikaze.

Israel’s nukes are their “Samson Option”.

Nuking Cairo or Alexandria (unless it’s some kind of clean bomb, and who knows, Israel or the US or Russia may have some) means suicide by radiation. Not much deterrent value in that–especially if the other side might be led by some one who is willing to die.

But, nuking the USSR, or Russia today, would likely result in Russia nuking the US, since the US has been the enabler of Israel in THIS WORLD. That means the US retaliates against Russia, and if that was to happen, that would be the end of planet earth.

(of course, many American Neocons think that the US can get away with a pre-emptive first strike against Russia, with “manageable” losses, which is insane. And these are the type of folks cheering Netenyahu to “finish the job”…)

That incentivizes everyone in planet earth to pay attention…

THAT was and remains the Samson Option (today Israel could nuke Iran or Saudi, it all leads to the same outcome, just a few more steps), hence the name.

It is a DIABOLICALLY brilliant plan. “You people do what we want or we take everyone down”. Great example of leverage and blackmail, isn’t it?

Lots of references to God here, to Israel’s status. Several people here conflate ancient Israel of the Old Testament, and the subjugated Jews of Holy Land of the new Testament with the current state of Israel. Is that really correct?

Wow, Lots to discuss in that missive JHK. As far as Israel is concerned, I think it’s quite evident that Israel’s going to do what it will dispite what the world thinks. As far as they are concerned it’s going to be them or Hamas and it ain’t going to be Hamas. Right or wrong, and regardless of the innocents slaughtered. Such happens when civilizations go to war. How many innocents were slaughtered in WW2?
Many millions. What a dark world we live in. Will Israel succeed? It’s an open question, but it appears most Arab countries are not willing to commit to defeating Israel and confronting the US, not yet, anyway.

When God first gave Israel the land He promised them through His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Israel), He fulfilled it by wiping out many of the “innocents” decried here and everywhere we turn today. That makes Him the Culprit all you bleeding heart jihadi supporters blame, hate, vilify and denigrate to your own destruction.

      • Cankerpuss November 17, 2023 at 11:09 am #

And Israel is not just the Jews. There were 13 tribes when they wiped out the many of the “innocents.”

Israel is far more than just the Jews and God’s covenants to Abraham were for ALL of Israel, not just the tribe of Judah.

I think this thing plays out in a totally different way than any of us realize. The nation of Israel is an important part of it, no doubt, but the House of Israel is much, much more and God is obligated to fill his promises to the House of Israel, not just the Jews.

      • JohnAZ November 17, 2023 at 11:17 am #

Jesus Himself called down the power structure of Old Judea, saying that the country and its temple would be destroyed. St. Paul made converting the Gentiles, the world, the intention of Jesus, thus God and the Jews are no longer God’s chosen.

Whoa, I wonder how that goes down in the synagogue?

        • Cankerpuss November 17, 2023 at 11:22 am #

John, are the Jews even of the House of Israel? There is DNA evidence linking the Jews to the Khazars of the Ukraine region, not to the Tribe of Judah, the son of Jacob (Israel). I don’t think the Jews today were ever God’s chosen people. His chosen are the true House of Israel, ALL of the descendants of Abraham, not just the tribe of Judah.

          • JohnAZ November 17, 2023 at 11:41 am #

Are the Jews of Israel today the Semites of the Bible?

Nope, they are Europeans that have been enabled by other European (Western) powers to occupy Israel.

BTW, think for a moment. Are there any original Hebrew Jews even in existence today? Or did Jesus’ words about the destruction of the Judean hierarchy mean the end of the Abrahamic gene line?

If so, Jews are a religious group only, not a gene pool.

          • JohnAZ November 17, 2023 at 11:49 am #

Hitler dislocated millions of people, killed millions and created a horde of folks, mostly Jewish, that the victorious allies had to find a place to put them.

The Palestinians were in the way of the solution the Jews wanted. The victors set up a two state solution with demarcation lines, etc. The Jews claimed their lands with their Declaration of Independence, the Arabs, IMHO, really screwed up by not settling the land that was accorded to them. If you remember Abbas, the Palestinian leader for awhile, he acknowledged that screw-up.

Anyway, the land acquisitions that Israel has accumulated have been the results of military misadventures by the Arabs, ie getting their butts kicked over and over. Israel has given back land, the Sinai the biggest, for peace. It is obvious they do not understand the Arab mind.

          • C.O.Jones November 17, 2023 at 12:00 pm #

Cankerpuss – It’s nice to see that someone realizes Israel is a people – not a patch of land.

With that recognition, it is clear to see that the people running the government of that patch of land are not necessarily part of the people of Israel. Running the government doesn’t make them God’s chosen.

I would like to see Paul Craig Roberts explain to God the absurdity he – Roberts – perpetuates in his latest writing: the contention that Israel stole land from the Palestinians.

I would also like to see an American president stand up at a televised meeting with Winnie the Xi and ask “How many Palestinians is China willing to take in?”

            John,
Your comment has an element of truth. If I, for example, were a squeegee guy, living in a ghetto shantytown, were, instead, removed to live in a cardboard box under the interstate, and my favorite corner for squeegee work, a busy corner, were co-opted, and I was forced to move to a drug corner, where I was beaten regularly and treated with contempt, I should have embraced my God-mandated fate, and thanked whatever deity was in vogue that I be allowed to live at all.

They did steal the land from the Palestinians just like we stole this land from the Indians.

We haven’t been able to conquer honestly since the Romans. Since then it’s all lying about a higher purpose.

We have needs. This is limited place. It’s zero sum to a considerable extent. If I have something, you don’t have it. If I take it from you, I now have it and you no longer do.

All of you “religious” worshipers need to take a breath. You’re ALL the problem. Personally, I’m going with John Lennon’s “Imagine” lyrics:
        Imagine there’s no heaven
        It’s easy if you try
        No hell below us
        Above us only sky
        Imagine all the people
        Living for today, I

        Imagine there’s no countries
        It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
        And no religion too
        Imagine all the people
        Living life in peace

Exactly! How many more millions (or will it be billions?) will die trying to prove that THEIR GOD of choice is the correct one?!?!?!
All of you thinking this way are the problem. “Can’t we all just get along?” The more you push for YOUR SIDE, the more the PTB/Rothschilds/WEF/Whoever wins. STOP THE KILLING.

So, if that is the case, and given the Abraham Accords deliberately excluded Palestine, do you think Hamas might have had a point?

Israel has spoken. There will be no two nation solution. That means there will be no peace until WWIII is fought and the world survives. And there will be no peace until Israel is turned to molten glass by nuclear bombs.

This is not 1948 nor is it the 1970’s. The ownership of the weapons from Hell is no longer in the hands of two competing hegemons who were deathly afraid of each other. In the Hypersonic era 0f 2023 Tel Aviv is less than five minutes away from many countries who have no desire for Zionist Israel to exist. And in the long run it will not.

Zelensky is a dead man walking.

Go to Russia? Come on. The authorities there have not choice but to execute him or life imprison.

Thousands of Russians have died because Zelensky did the bidding of the West.

Go to the West? Think of Epstein’s fate. Think of Vince Foster. Think of Saddam Hussein. Dead men tell not tales–they take some unpleasant truths to the grave.

Zelensky lives in order to “lead” Ukraine to try to weaken Russia. Once that role ends, Zelensky’s end is not far behind.

The reality is that in the short term this country is doomed. We were one a nation of doers and makers. Now we have things mortgaged to the hilt, and we no longer make anything of substance. We no longer have a cohesive basis in reality or common cause to rally around. We have been diversified and split into so many compartmental segments that there is no way to bring us back together. Much like Humpty Dumpty, try as you might, there is no way the King’s men will put us back together again.

In the long term I trust that we will see things turn out okay, but all of us here reading and responding to this blog will be long gone from this mortal coil at that point.

    • Cankerpuss November 17, 2023 at 11:14 am #

Exactly. The America I grew up in is long gone. Everything in our society is a lie. Few have any knowledge of reality. People we think are wealthy who live in big homes and drive fancy cars are hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt and don’t own anything and will never own anything. Women cover their faces with so much makeup that when they clean their faces they don’t resemble what they just looked like. Musicians use auto-tune now to make their voices sound perfect. People post pictures of their perfect lives to mask the depression, drug use and abuse that is prevalent in their real lives. Tattoos, piercings and fake hair colors abound. We spend hours staring at a box that spews lies and stories unbounded in reality.

It’s all fake, it’s all a lie. None of it is real. How can a society that is built on lies stand? It can’t and it won’t.

        How is this not trolling?

  11. JohnAZ November 17, 2023 at 10:58 am #

After I read the report saying that CCP may be funding some of the protests along with Soros, it puzzled me for about 20 nanoseconds what was going on.

It is obvious. The West and East Coasts are very different places. The East Coast is connected and concerned with Europe, the ME and Russia. The West Coast Asia, mostly China.

Are e being attacked systematically from both sides, not by war, but by economic deflation? What is common to both coast’s opposition? BRICS++, IOW, the world is tearing the USA down using the Deep State and the ignorant, stupid, misinformed, vaxxed, population. I do notice that there are many, many folks in Arab garb in the videos of the Anti-Israel protests. Are we seeing the rise of CAIR and the Islamic revolution that the Quran demands everywhere Muslims go to roost?

As long as the population keeps electing Liberals, whether Dem or GOP, the values of post WW2 America will continue to dissipate. I like that word, dissipate, as it describes the slow loss of something scattering in the breeze. That is exactly what the Deep state and both the WEF and BRICS++ are doing, allowing the American ideals and culture to just dissipate in the global breeze. Eventually, the two new superpower groups will have to duke it out to see who is global no. 1. By then, the USA will be a tattered remnant of itself, even if it is intact.

The USA is the main aggressor in Ukraine, supporting the anti- BRICS++ group, Zelensky, in the loss to Russia. If the US (and Europe to a small degree) had not encouraged the Ukes, the catastrophe that is unfolding would not have even started.

The USA is a Jewish fed supporter of Israel. It is a country, with Great Britain, that has tried to follow a path in geopolitics opposite to the will of the local folks, shoving our desires down their throats. Right now, we are playing a middle road approach, “Let us be nice, y’all”. BIBI sees through Biden and the Mob and has basically said that we will take care of business, just stay out of the way. Iran will not do anything except proxy their fools in the Gaza and Lebanon, as they do not want to be an ashtray.

Watch a fish on land, it struggles, flops around and slowly just fades away. The USA is going through the same death throes as the world has finally dismissed us from importance. There is not a damn thing we will do about it either, especially with the Mob in place.

Speaking of Israel, former NYT reporter Alex Berenson has taken a moment away from his vital work on the vaxx to raise some interesting questions about Israel v. Hamas.

This kind of ties in with a couple of conspiracy theories I have about that whole situation:

    The dog that isn’t barking

The world is giving Israel far more leeway to destroy Hamas than it seems at first

(You can find the article at Substack)

“Last week, the New York Times offered a long piece on why Hamas had chosen to attack Israel on Oct. 7 (aside from the sheer pleasure of raping and killing Jews).

As is so often the case, the simplest answer appears right: Hamas’s leaders felt marginalized as Israel moved towards peace deals with Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia. They wanted to remind the world that millions of Palestinians live in squalor and provoke a vicious Israeli counterattack.

    So far, so good.

But near the end of the article was this paragraph:

Back in the day when I worked at the Times, we called this “burying the lede.”

Because, yes, Hamas has succeeded in dragging Israel back into Gaza. But the Israeli strike has not provoked the counter-counter-attack that Hamas wanted. At least not yet.

Where is the West Bank uprising?

Where is Hezbollah’s attack on Israel’s northern border?

Where are the million-person protests against Israel in Arab capitals?

Where are the jihadists mobilizing to find their way to Egypt and then to Gaza?

Where’s the Saudi promise of unconditional support for Hamas? Or the threat of an oil embargo if Israel doesn’t agree to a ceasefire?”

    • Paula D November 17, 2023 at 12:21 pm #

You’ve missed the historic meeting between all Muslim leaders – Shia and Sunni in the same conference rooms. They can’t let this happen. So I assume they won’t.

No need for protests in Muslim countries since everyone is on board. The largest protests ever in England.

  14. dilbert113 November 17, 2023 at 11:21 am #

He’s right. Believing in unreality, putting your faith and money into things that just aren’t true, never works out. See, for example, Samuel Bankman Fried’s epic fall from multibillionaire, the richest person under age 30 on the planet to arrested, criminally charged, swiftly convicted on all counts, and in prison (awaiting another trial for bribery). He promised investors that their money was safe, and Cryptocurrency was the next big thing, better invest in it now while it’s hot. . .and it all turned out to be a great big lie, similar to Bernie Madoff’s investment fund. And the liar-in-chief went bankrupt, and went to jail. So yes, endlessly believing government lies, double standards, and blatant hypocrisy wont work out, or end well, for anyone, including the government. Cocaine at the White House–we have No Idea how it got there, and certainly aren’t making any arrests. On the other hand Orange Man Bad, 4 indictments. Nobody believes their nonsensical lies anymore, the US government has lost all credibility, and a government no one believes in is a government that can’t govern.

    • Cankerpuss November 17, 2023 at 11:29 am #

And when a Government loses its credibility it loses its authority. True authority comes when the governed trust and obey their governor. Once the governed no longer trust the governor the governor has no authority. At that point the governor becomes dangerous resorting to force, lies and coercion to maintain their authority. At that point the governed grow angry and rise up in one form or another and destroy the governor. It is going to happen. We are in the coercion stage now and will, at some point in the future, enter the final stages where the people get fed up with the lies and the filth and bring it down.

The USA is a failed state and the Government has lost its authority. The question to be answered now is what replaces it?

      That I do not know.

        CP,
        Credibility? Trust? To some extent. However, for a law to be effective, it must be generally complied with voluntarily. Take gun control;

Illinois passed a law requiring anyone owning a semi-automatic weapon to register same by the end of the year, or face confiscation and arrest. The state estimates over 3 million firearms of this category in the state. The due date for compliance is 31 December of this year…about 6 weeks away. The total number of weapons so far registered is…approx. 3000…less that two tenths of one percent. .12%….

What will the state do at this level on non-compliance?

“Cost us something like $150 billion, a large part of that distributed among Mr. Zelensky’s circle while he sacrificed a whole generation of his country’s young men to Russian artillery fire”

Young white men. That’s the beauty of it.

This is from Alex Berenson- we might be saving a few more of our young men with this revelation-

    “@moderna_tx
today halted dosing for adolescents in its Phase 1 clinical trial of its Epstein-Barr virus vaccine after a suspected case of myocarditis in a trial participant.

$mrna did not report the halt publicly”

Did we really need a vaccine against the Epstein Barr virus?

Back when Rove bragged about their ability to control reality, he clearly knew that they knew what was actually real themselves.

What a difference 20 years makes. I think that the current bunch actually believes the bullshit they spew.

We are screwed. I don’t think the printing press will do any good when our ruling overlords clamp down on citizens’ right to free speech even more severely, as Niki Haley and Barack Obama advocate so strongly.

“When I get into office, the first thing we have to do, social media accounts, social media companies, they have to show America their algorithms,” Haley said. “Let us see why they’re pushing what they’re pushing.”

“The second thing is, every person on social media should be verified, by their name. That’s, first of all, it’s a national security threat.

National security? Does she actually believe that bullshit? Or is she just creating reality?

They sneer at the First Amendment. All of them need to go.

Under Cheney and Bush the Lesser, the US set up a massive repression bureaucracy.

Once you have Homeland Security, the TSA, the Director on National Intelligence, the fusion centers, and all the rest, completely funded, and well-staffed with people who want to keep their jobs, it only gets worse.

Homeland Security is now spawning a whole new apparatus specifically to censor and control the internet.

We need to abolish Homeland Security AND all of its spawn, just to start.

Look at how the WW1 effort, to censor and control the anti-war public, spawned the FBI, and then the anti-communist push after WW2 spawned the CIA and NSA.

It only took 16 years after the founding of the CIA in 1947 to them blowing off the head of the president who vowed to break them up and scatter them to the wind.

16 years. That’s all it took for them to consolidate their power, allied with the military-industrial complex (which also took hold and grew after WW2), and the Mafia, (which J. Edgar Hoover insisted was a fantasy, not real. Some good the FBI did.)

It has only gotten worse since then.

I was saying about how almost know one was interested in finding out why the attacks in Israel were allowed to take place.

I’m one person who has a lot of questions about it, and I have recently found out that there is another woman with questions too.

This is from a guest post by Diana West at the Lionss of Judah Substack site, and these questions are indeed grim.

    Grim Questions

The Kibbutzim/Concert Massacres of October 7 are not an October Surprise but an October Shock Wave — a continuous stream of shock waves that have reset the world.

“We are all of us nearly completely fried from having Hamas’s video trophies of murder and blood burned into our brains, and are thus unable to see what is really happening. As usual, you might say, only worse.

What I can’t move from is the origin, the trigger of this fresh, paralyzing madness.

I am unable to move from the unexamined and unexplained failure of the Israeli government to protect Israeli citizenry from an extremely well-prepared force of 2,000 Hamas terrorists that crossed Israel’s border fence with Gaza and operated freely across 30 square miles of Israeli territory for six, eight, and even twenty hours. I am left with terrible questions about the ultimate responsibility for the lives lost, the lives shattered, and the sanctity and the way of life that these killers from Hamas have destroyed forever.

As I explore this uneasiness, I am even willing to accept, temporarily, for the sake of argument, the ridiculous explanation for Hamas’s complex series of breaches of all Israeli defenses: the so-called “intelligence failure.” Like magic words, the phrase is supposed to make all questions disappear. OK. I’m not buying, but OK. Let’s turn our faculties of curiosity and reason onto the even more shocking unexamined and unexplained failure of the Israeli government to deploy the Israeli military to defend Israeli towns and cities under prolonged assault by a veritable terrorist army.”

How many White Americans have been killed by invaders across our Southern Border?

I used to think the Israeli government cared about its people more than Western leaders care about theirs. I question that now and since the huge Vax campaign there.

If you can’t sacrifice people, you can’t be a commanding officer or a President. If you can and it bothers you, you are still human but may have trouble rising in the ranks. If you can and it doesn’t bother you, you may rise high.

      • oldwood November 18, 2023 at 12:29 am #

“May you live in interesting times” and “fortune and flowers do not last forever” are sayings attributed to the Chinese.

I wonder if either was on Xi’s mind as he strolled the suddenly pristine streets of San Francisco? Could Gav be a bigger toady or Joe a lamer duck? Hard to imagine. Xi certainly seemed to enjoy himself.

Anyone can observe the cozy relationship between Bill Clinton, W Bush, and Barack Obama. That’s the NWO lineup Poppy Bush ushered in before he skulked off to the Carlyle Group to manage the globe’s alternative assets.

And it was a good run for awhile. Thirty years of looting, pillaging, and war profiteering dipping into middle eastern oil, Afghan opium, and the US Treasury. Good times for public distress and private equity.

But what did We The People get from three decades of Imperial reality tinkering? Crushing debt, opioid addiction, PTSD, devalued currency, and erosion of civil liberties to name a few “benefits.”

We’re down, but we’re not out. Sure, the Clintons, Obamas, Bushes, and CA upstarts all wait in the wings ready to swoop into the spotlight and finish the Long March with Uncle Xi.

But, as the bizarre Trump/Biden years clearly demonstrate, The Times are certainly interesting. And as the Chinese say, “ The winds of the heavens shift suddenly; so does human fate.”

The mandate of heaven is not immutable – Mencius

Questioner: Is it just to kill an unjust Emperor?
      Mencius: I see no Emperor.

Jarek: Note the pristine parsimony of Mencius’ answer. By definition an emperor must be just, else he loses the mandate of heaven and is a mere tyrant.

Of course our way of trial by military tribunal is higher still. How does the Book of Songs put it? I want to take you higher?

Lost In The Flatlands Of The Strange-Bedfellow Clusterfuck

“Koehler, founding director of the German Institute for Radicalization and de-Radicalization Studies, has identified key ‘bridging areas’ that span disparate ideologies — chief among them are antisemitism, misogyny and anti-government or anti-establishment beliefs. Those bridges, he said, work ‘as a kind of ideological highway between these environments that are usually very exclusive and consider each other to be mortal enemies.

In Germany, Koehler said, he sees the blurriness these days in anti-vaccination and covid-19 denial movements, where far-left protesters have openly mixed with white supremacists.

“There have been times where they produce memes and propaganda that calls upon antifascists or anarchists even to form an alliance against the democratic Western society’, Koehler said. ‘They think they could unite forces on the shared premise of, ‘We reject dualism, we reject democracy, we reject a free-market society.’

Recent years have provided several examples of such bridges leading to plots and violence, such as white nationalists overlapping with the misogynistic ‘incel’ movement or borrowing leftist climate talking points to whip up right-wing fears over racial competition for resources. White supremacist mass shooters in Christchurch, New Zealand, and El Paso both dropped environmentalist themes into the notes they wrote before their deadly attacks.” ~ The Washington Post, October 31, 2022

      Six Degrees Of Separation

…is the idea that all people are six or fewer social connections away from each other. As a result, a chain of ‘friend of a friend’ statements can be made to connect any two people in a maximum of six steps. It is also known as the six handshakes rule.

The concept was originally set out in a 1929 short story by Frigyes Karinthy, in which a group of people play a game of trying to connect any person in the world to themselves by a chain of five others. It was popularized in John Guare’s 1990 play Six Degrees of Separation.

The idea is sometimes generalized to the average social distance being logarithmic in the size of the population…” ~ Wikipedia

I turned 79 years old yesterday, Nov 16.

In all those years, I have watched the USA turn into a corrupt shithole run by psychopaths.

We are now existing in a perpetual state of insanity from which we will never recover.

I’m so glad I’m at the end of this stage of my existence, and only hope I can escape before I have to suffer laying in a pile of garbage being picked over by the remaining starving hordes.

    • CouchPotatriot November 17, 2023 at 2:38 pm #

Cedric, I fully relate to your observation at just age 46. One of my uncle’s, only age 67, recently passed due to Alzheimer’s. All I could think was, “you lucky bastard.” He was still relatively young enough to be unfortunate enough to still have possibly 20 years left on the planet. I’m grateful he went “young” as I feared he had absolutely no capacity to endure what’s coming to America. He left me an arsenal of gear and plenty of survival skill. However, my 75+ kin who have plenty of assets to leave behind, have little-to-no clue of the abject torture and depravity they’ll experience as their own offspring cannibalize their wealth when the going gets tougher in coming years. For all the evil assholes who have no empathy for the world THEY created, may you live long and falter.

In a general sense, culture seems to be made up of the interplay of Yes and No.

The old Church culture (long dead and buried) was a consensus about Thou Shalt and Thou Shalt Nots.

It also had an ascetic sense to it, some kind of understanding about the importance of renunciation or abstinence in any chain of meaning.

Our contemporary culture is no longer interested in internal controls but instead endorses desire and a safe place for the expression of all impulses.

This is our present attempt at cultural revolution–where the Yeses overwhelm the Nos.

This culture demands less and less and permits more and more and consequently, we are at a breaking point.

We no longer model ourselves after the political man of the Greeks, or the religious man of the Hebrews and Christians, or the economic man of the mid to late 20th century.

We now live in an anti-culture, where the taboos have disappeared and as JHK has argued “everything goes and nothing matters.”

“Their’ destroying the internet is an intriguing, despite low probability idea. From my vantage point, almost everything these days is tied to the internet: all hospital/ clinic/medical office data and records are in the cloud, all banking processing for the most part (does anyone use checks and cash anymore?) are run thru the internet or the ACH system (same thing), all power systems are run thru internet nodes in the cloud, oil and gas pipelines are managed thru the internet, and all food and other supplies (e.g. medical supplies) are ordered and logistically managed via the internet.

All appointments are made via internet based cloud programs and payroll is done via internet programs and people are paid via ACH deposits (I haven’t written a payroll check to any of my clinic employees in many years, and I haven’t written a paper prescription for meds in at least five years).

Take down the internet and you’ve got World Made By Hand in 24 hours or less.

    • cowbell81 November 17, 2023 at 2:41 pm #

Would a pharmacist these days even know how to fill a prescription based upon a written piece of paper? My money is on “NO”. They would likely give you the same quizzical look as one of those Wal-Mart cashiers when they try to make change after their computer screen is cleared and no longer tells them how much money to dispense.

Their target is social media, not the internet.

They want the internet to be a form of social control, both monitoring the public and controlling the public.

There aren’t that many places where the public can gather to talk among themselves.
Horizontal communication, not the top down decrees favored by our ruling overlords.

You can tell who they are targeting by who they hauled in front of Congress in 2017, threatening them if they didn’t censor.
Twitter, Facebook, Google and YouTube. Now joined by Tik Tok.

Knock those out, and leave the spying and control apparatus intact, is the plan.

The spying apparatus set up after 9-11, which we were told was necessary to protect us from “terrorists’, has been turned completely on the population.
It has also been broadened as a bureaucracy. Once the structure is set up and funded, and the censors hired, it is a perpetual motion device.

“A nation can only take so much corruption, crime, and unreality.”

    ‘Unreality’… also known as LIES.

A society of any kind is glued and held together by a group of Narratives. Any narrative can be sewn from cloth of truth… or near-truth… or near-lies… or utter and compete lies.

Probably every country and society on Planet Earth has been and is held together by narratives that are largely lies. And those lies and falsehoods have to continuously be reinforced in the mind of it’s people to keep the Lying Engine of a Glued People going.

In today’s World, we see a great effort of exertion by State Western Media to build and sustain lies with a desperation to a level even remarkable for Them.

And there are those degrees of lying in terms of fostering those narratives. Such shaky foundations can be small bits of truth-stretching… or flat out lying nonsense more common known as Utter Bullsh…. And the stinkier the leaders of a group are… the deeper and more smelly the waste material becomes. And the need to hit people over the head with them.

And the People of Earth have largely come to expect and tolerate these lies. And in today’s Wonderful Woke West… a great many people have developed a deep love and affection and loyalty to lies to the level of turning these falsehoods into their modern day false religion. With full fanatic zeal. The gospel for the day is lies from Officialdom.

There is an ugly truth about humans. Many of us not only do not accept truth when we encounter it… but we actually HATE truth. Such people prefer lies and the safety of the group who foolishly swallow the crap and eagerly beg for more.

“Uh-oh, I think they just destroyed the Internet.”

Very soon, the Internet will be a completely useless tool. It will be worthless to use. It will need to be fully abandoned to The Liars that will eagerly use it to spread their crap to their devoted disciples who are now Lie Junkies. And like a junkie… these folks crave more and more and with deeper lying intensity as time goes on

“Would you try to bullshit God?”

It’s a safe bet that there are far more humans on this Planet who do little but BS ‘Itself’ than deal honestly with ‘It’. Lying is the base currency of Humanity. The true Blockchain of Human Blockheads.

Is it any wonder then why ‘It’ doesn’t care to listen to so many prayers? Who wants to heed the pleadings of a Liar?

All of our political and socio-economic discussions, while interesting, may be worth naught very soon. The latest news coming from the middle east is as follows. Iran (who is a member of BRICS+ AND the SCO, a trade and DEFENSE treaty) backed by Russia and China, and Turkey are make very clear attack noises toward the US presence in the Med Sea and Red Sea. Egypt (despite having a Jewish president, Sisi) just announced earlier today, that they are ordering their military to move into the Southern Gaza and set up a no fly zone to stop the bombing. Massive action appears to be forming around talk. WWIII approaches, rapidly. Good damn thing we have competent leaders in the white house. :0

An Egyptian no-fly zone over southern Gaza? No offense to our esteemed host, but I’d think I could find news about that SOMEWHERE other than his comment section. As for Iran, Turkey, China and Russia making “attack noises” against an American carrier group, or two, please, ashtrays, as so eloquently stated above. As an example, Iran lobs one missile at a carrier and they have no electricity for the next 50 years. The beautiful Iranian people are this close to doing away with the theocracy that rules them as is. Lose their infrastructure and the mullahs meet their maker. China can’t take much internal strife, either. By the way, I saw no mention anywhere of Ji deplaning in San Francisco off of a 747, or at least a Chinese copy of one. C’mon, new world hegemon, let’s see what you.

I will concede that competence is not our current government’s strong suit, but no one is ganging up and sinking a carrier without getting hammered into the next plane anytime soon.

      • Socrates-Detroit November 17, 2023 at 11:25 pm #

Be careful what you wish for. Some of our people, and many of America’s “adversaries” have very vivid imaginations and useful skills.

Look around you (if you live in the US). As a complex society, there are many “failure points” that don’t require WMD cause dispruptions that could cascade and implode our house of cards.

Asymmetrical warfare favors those with less to lose.

And for what it is worth (probably not much, but I mention it since supposedly “the people rule” here in the big PX, LOL) a lot of us are not going be excited about risking the “homeland” because our government was stupid enough to send American soldiers (Syria) and miiltary assets into the hornets’ nest.

      • Socrates-Detroit November 17, 2023 at 11:56 pm #

I like you neurodoc, but a lot of what we see and hear is posturing.

Egypt is NOT going to be setting up any no-fly zones that Israel does not agree to, sorry my friend.

The Egyptian president is worried to death (almost) that Israel will push all the Palestinians into the Sinai. If he tries to stop Israel, BOOM, war, he is done. If he does not stop Israel’s ethnic cleansing, there is a real chance of another “Shah of Iran” event, where Sisi flees or is executed, and the Muslim Brotherhood takes over.

Jordan? Similar predicament to Egypt. Do you all know the US has US fighter planes flying out of Jordan? To support the illegal US occupation of Syria? Why doesn’t Jordan close it? Hmmmm?

Turkey? An opportunistic GOVERNMENT trying to recreate the Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman Empire owned Palestine until the Turks joined the German side in WW1 and lost. Turkey is led by a charismatic Turk, but one who talks too much.

Today, he lectured the Germans in Berlin. While I commend Erdogan for his candor, I see him playing to nationalist sentiment in Turkey. People in his position don’t make public comments like that with impunity. You’ll see. And Turkey is hardly a paragon of virtue.

Turkey has one foot in two boats–the US and Russia. The next big war may well be in Turkey, as the Americans and Russians decide to secure THEIR vital interests by breaking up the country and securing their interests. A Western coastal crescent, beholden to the US; a greater Armenia in the northeast, and newly independent Kurdistan in the southeast, both beholden to Russia. Now Russia has a solid link to its ally Syria. Turkey is too big and important for either side to run the risk the other side takes it. My two cents. We will see.

Iran is no longer a pariah. Being in BRICS means that Russia and China will (probably) support Iran, but that Iran must heed Chinese “counsel”. The Chinese need Persian Gulf oil even more than the US…at THIS time. So China got Iran and Saudi to make nice, and now Iran can’t play the “attack Saudi oil” ace card. If Iran is attacked, all they can do is try to hit US ships, and possibly cause mischief in the US via asymmetrical warfare. What’s that? The gas station isn’t taking credit cards today? Hmmm…..

The random element–lower level Hezbollah operatives going rogue, or the US instigating a false flag for an attack to take the spotlight off of Israel’s bombing and blockade of Gaza. The Israeli slaughter is clobbering both Israeli and the US reputations in eyes of world public opinion.

In my opinion, Hamas acted on its own on Oct 07. They went rogue–for THEIR purposes. They knew the Israeli response would be brutal, but perhaps underestimated the magnitude, and misjudged the outcome. Hamas will survive, for sure. But the Palestinians who are not Hamas fighters will either perish, leave, or be forced out, which means Hamas will be diminished as a fighting force.

The Palestinians have no friends. The Armenians had (and have) no friends. German Jews, and later Eastern European Jews had not friends.

This is not 1973. The Saudis and Gulf states won’t use the oil weapon to help Palestinians.

They saw the US and West freeze and seize Russian financial assets. The rich Arabs like Paris, Miami, and so forth. They don’t want to lose their money and vacations. Not today. But tomorrow? Tomorrow, they might decide Bali is better than Miami, and Shanghai is better than NYC. They might have moved a lot of money out of the West by tomorrow. Time will tell. Sorry for the long post…

I enjoyed the long post .

I agree ( ? ) the other Moslem states are entirely cynical and / or primarily concerned about regime survival.

Unless the US really is prepared to endorse plain , literal genocide , which I don’t think some other crisis will divert attention from because it is the Holy Land ,

where do all these Palestinians go ?

What I hear is that Palastine’s neighbors have already taken in enough to make them look like the open – borders Wokies.

So I’m guessing they go primarily to the West.

CFN doesn’t like it that I’m here ?

I reckon they will like it a lot less when there are thousands more like me , but with even much harsher sentiments.

  31. PeteAtomic November 17, 2023 at 3:37 pm #

“Imagine what it was like at that long table in San Francisco when the delegation led by President Xi of China sat across from this broken old grifter and his nervous minders. The look of anguish on Tony Blinken’s sagging puss told the whole story. The point of the “summit meeting” was (for our side) to pretend, for show, that we could negotiate anything with China; the point (for China) was to show the world that America is an old whipped dog.”

    Totally!

Not just Blinken, but Secretary of Commerce, Gina Raimondo, looking confused & bewildered when the assembled CEOs gave President Xi a standing ovation.

The US government officials at the meeting appeared cowed and defeated.

So, I think Blinken telegraphed to the world that the US position as a superpower, is nearing an end.

In a previous post in a past blog article of yours, I pointed out the Russo-Japanese War of 1905.

I think we’re getting closer to an event similar to that in regard to US global power.

The hints at this are more evident than you may think. One of these is the lack of Abrams & F16s in Ukraine. The Pentagon has sat and watched all the other collective West weaponry burn on the steppe. This includes the Challenger 2 & the Leopard 2, along with many, many Bradley IFVs. Someone crass & shrewd enough at the Pentagon has realized that, in this “war of images” that the US is engaged in vs. Russia in Ukraine– that the world watching Abrams & F16s joining the rest of the scrap heaps, cannot be seen by the world.

I think Blinken understands that US foreign policy is quickly becoming impotent. The tools the US used to use to muscle & threaten other nations, like sanctions, just aren’t effective anymore.

So, what does that leave the US? It leaves the US the use of the threat of military force. And what of that force?

The department which oversees US military readiness this last year has given every branch of the military poor grades in the preparation of a war.

Additionally, if the US were to get involved in a serious naval war with let’s say, China, and the US were to likely lose many aircraft carriers in that war, how would the US pay to replace them?

If interest rates were to stay the same, the US will be paying $1 Trillion USD every year to simply pay the interest on its national debt.

How much do you think will be left over to pay for social security, or Medicare, nonetheless the completely out of control defense budget??

      Good comments @PeteAtomic

      I love the 1904-05 Russo-Japanese war analogy!

Aircraft carrier replacement? Cost: HUGE. Time to complete–very long.

And if a carrier is crippled, the aircraft carrier will probably be deemed obsolete–a WW2 weapon whose obsolescence was concealed by the fact that before WW3 or pre-WW3, it did not fight against PEER powers, but against 2nd rate militaries, like Libya, Iraq, and even Vietnam, which had no submarines or aircraft that could reach out and touch a US aircraft carrier.

Like most wars, the Civil War was fought, not because one side was “right” and one “wrong”, but because the vested interests of both separate both sides to the point that they are willing to fight and die for their cause

The Confederacy fought for slavery because they knew that without slaves, their plantation style agrarian lifestyle would collapse. When the war ended, it did. Like today, 1860 Joe Average in the south depended on that lifestyle for sustenance and were willing to fight for states rights to keep things going. All groups in the South were more afraid of major economic change, than fighting and dying.

The North was dominant and becoming more so as it competed in the new industrial world. England, their main competitor, supported the South during the war covertly. The industrial base defeated the South and with effective leadership, the North should have won handily and in short order. The ramifications of the Civil War still exist today.

Lincoln’s idea that the federal government is off, by and for is a farce today. I wonder who he would be behind if he was alive today. I am afraid he would be on the side of the Progressives as they fight to exert federal power over our lives.

The first Holy Land Crusade was either incredibly lucky , or a miracle.

But God seems to get annoyed when you demand miracles every day because you keep fucking up ?

The Christian Kingdoms of Jerusalem and Antioch were always outnumbered by the Moslems 50 to 1 , and near entirely dependent on European charity .

And it would only take Moslems getting fed up and saying , ” Enough of this shit ” and Christian control of Jerusalem would be a historical footnote.

It concerned me always , and was originally off – putting , that Christians have Bible study classes , but no Christian history classes. ( Including the Catholics now )

You would think if they really cared about the cause , they might want to know where the cause has been ? Where the pitfalls were , what worked and what didn’t ?

Every movement needs an effective leader that people will have faith in and be willing to die for.

That leader was Saladin who chased the crusaders out of Jerusalem then almost took over the western world.

I like when JHK mentions reality. Maybe it is that reality is what can save us from the disorder and suffering resulting from enduring the opposite. The culture which socialized you was not based in reality. We have a problem as non reality runs deep in our cultural institutions. Yes it’s probably reality that you can’t solve the non reality with the same thinking which created it. If there is no real answer to the human condition then we are done.
Done means increasing disorder, increasing suffering and increasing death resulting in extinction.

Which is to say that if she were alive , my bet is that if you sent her flowers she would call you ” stalker ” without even bothering to have a five minute conversation with you to determine whether you were actually a threat or not , too horny , or just lonely.

An otherwise wonderful person perhaps , except that she wouldn’t piss on you.

No need for speculation. I’m thin , with hair easily straightened.

    I’m 57 year old now. ” Thin ” is more like ” skeletal ”

I NEVER had dental care , so now I’m toothless.

I wish I had a dog’s sense of smell. They can tell who has been around, and can track them, and I can’t.

Seems like a good thing to have, imo.

    • Anthea November 19, 2023 at 9:07 pm #

I’m very sensitive to fragrances. I don’t think I discern their secret meanings as well as my dog does, but probably pretty close. For example, one fragrance I dislike is dragon’s blood. It’s commonly used to scent soap, and I used to make dragon’s blood soap once in awhile because there were many customers who adored the scent.

It smells like plastic (faux leather) car upholstery on a hot day, lovingly blended with motor oil and musk–in other words, it’s the scent of a “happy place” for many people.

Fragrances light up the pleasure centers in the brain (and sometimes the aversion centers). One of my favorite scents is Bobbi Brown’s “Beach” perfume–also available as a dupe for scenting soap (or what have you). The first time I smelled it, it evoked all kinds of agreeable memories of the ocean, the beach, little head shops in Mendocino, and all things associated with these. I was sure I had smelled this scent before, but I couldn’t place exactly where. Finally, I googled it: “What does Bobbi Brown Beach smell like?”

Google replied, “It smells like suntan lotion.”

Actually, the fragrance is more complex than that, as there are some subtle florals in there, and even a very muted “fishy” smell. That perfume is a work of genius, if you ask me. It sets the pleasure centers in the brain on fire.

One fragrance that I find very unpleasant is a designer fragrance from about 20 years ago, called “Poison.” It smells like Raid bug spray.

Most people respond to fragrances this way, but it depends on whether there is some kind of associated memory–but since all fragrances have many components, there’s a pretty good chance that one or more of the components with ignite a memory.

The conflict is a deliberate instigation for reaction to a construct. Extremist Jews say all non Jews must kneel at their feet or die, as do the extremist Muslims, so, who’s side are we to be on? Every criticism of either side is hate speech, an implicit threat of extermination justifying the extermination of the other.
    Leave me out.
Any observation from a short distance would reveal that globalist elite unwed to any race, religion or nationality, want us to kill each other…the ultimate solution for all the long emergencies.
    Why play along?
    Why advance their agenda?
The Muslim population dominates the planet.

Sheesh James, I can sympathize your feelings on the Gaza conflict, but if I give a gun to someone who murders a loved one, would you blame just the shooter or me who gave the gun and encouragement for the deed. That’s the position Israel has placed everyone in the country in. We have funded this mess with decades of wealth transfer to Israel from us. This will not go unnoticed by the people stuck in the west bank. And now the shadowy great hand goes after anyone who even slightly criticizes the conflict, as witnessed by Elon Musk’s rather innocuous comment and the heavy hand coming down hard to destroy him and any of his business adventures. Along with Biden’s recent attack on the internet as you pointed out. Guess who will benefit the most from that ? Just listen to my states governor DeSantis and the steps he’s taken and tell me who he works for.

  45. Billy Hill November 18, 2023 at 9:07 am #

What’s “Uncle Tom” in Yiddish? As the Vigo Mortensen character said in reply to Danny Shirley (The Green Book) upon confronting him in jail for homosexual behavior: “It’s complicated.” Which meant he had seen it all on the streets of New York and the anticipated binary NO was not the real world.

From Yves Smith at Naked Capitalism. All quoted words are those of Dayan:

Moshe Dayan and the Creation of Israel

… this now-forgotten set of observations by Israeli Defense Minister (and Zionist “freedom fighter”) Moshe Dayan.

He has a strongly pro-Zionist past, a fighting past:

At the age of 14, Dayan joined the Jewish defence force Haganah. In 1938, he joined the British-organised irregular Supernumerary Police and led a small motorized patrol.

Haganah was “the main Zionist paramilitary organization that operated for the Yishuv in the British Mandate for Palestine. It was founded in 1920 to defend the Yishuv’s presence in the region, and was formally disbanded in 1948, when it became the core force integrated into the Israel Defense Forces shortly after the Israeli Declaration of Independence.”

In other words, a fighting Zionist true-believer.

Dayan had very strong opinions about the defense of Israel and what it would take to achieve it. One thing it would take is an unblinking acknowledgement of what Israel had done to acquire the land for its own.

“What cause have we to complain about their fierce hatred of us? For eight years now they sit in their refugee camps in Gaza, and before their eyes we turn into our homestead the land and villages in which they and their forefathers have lived.” (Source: “The Iron Wall: Israel and the Arab World”. Book by Avi Schlaim, 2000.)

“Before (the Palestinians) very eyes we are possessing the land and villages where they and their ancestors have lived. We are the generation of colonizers and without the steel helmet and the gun barrel we cannot plant a tree and build a house.”

“There is not one single place built in this country that did not have a former Arab population.”

Dayan recognized what had been done to create the state of Israel. He understood, therefore, what it would take to defend it.

BHill here: So despite history we as a species persist in Might-Makes-Right — with a big-ass glaring exception this time around. There’s enough firepower sitting in the vicinity to do a bit more than rattle windows and shake doors, to say nothing of the strategic WMD waiting on human or machine error to execute the coup de grace.

So sorry, I did not sign up for this, and I withdraw my consent. Israel can go on about its business if it must but I cast my vote against any US involvement other than as an equal participant in a conference of sane nation-states to sort out WTF has happened here. Obviously, were such a turn feasible we’d need a rearrangement of things in US governance first. Nobody — not AIPAC, The MIC, big Pharma, et.al gets a pass.

      Two problems I can see:

      1. Dayan’s observations are true of every land and country that has ever existed. Nobody on earth is living on land that belonged to “them” from the moment humans came down from the trees. The land was taken and retaken in endless cycles and the archaeological evidence tells the tale that the taking more often than not meant the extermination of the group on the land at the time it was taken. So the only real metric that determines whom the land “belongs “ to is if the group currently on the land can hold the land. Blut und Eisen or gun barrel and steel helmet, take your pick but it’s all the same.

      2. Taking the US out of the equation, where are you going to find those sane nation-states? The US is most definitely in Weimar mode but as bad as it is, no one was, say, welded inside their houses here during the Covid hysteria. I don’t see any sane actors in the nation-state realm so you’d really need a change of human nature and that just ain’t going to happen.

      • Billy Hill November 18, 2023 at 8:01 pm #

My hope lies with the rest-of-the world opposition to the patently absurd USA adventure in The Ukraine. And the obvious war crimes emanating therefrom to be adjudicated we might hope by a jury of non-Western powers, as well as the obvious ineffectiveness of NATO and weaponry — which unfortunately for the MIC has been exposed as a means of siphoning wealth from the USA populace.

As for the NATO-Lite eruption in Israel, this is like a geyser that spouts steam every so often after which it is relegated to non-visibility until the next time. The next time is here, with a cohort of dual-staters and, frankly, insane managers at the helm of US policy, nudging a cohort of uneducated Gen X or worse Pentagon strategists toward a confrontation with WMD-wielding states who do not trust the present demented US leadership.

        It’s not a cheery formula.

As for Dayan’s observations at least he spells it out in stark language. Language no better than the grunts of the hominids in Kubrick’s 2001 discovering the power of the bludgeon. Not that I buy into Darwin full-bore, but one hopes the species has advanced beyond the might-makes-right mindset. The concept of civilization rests on this evolution. Tort and Contract. How simple, and yet somehow still just beyond humanity’s grasp. But… we shall continue exploring, and the end of our explorations will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.

        • King of Comedy November 18, 2023 at 9:13 pm #

We have all lived in a sweet spot of history and that has led to the mistaken impression that it is the norm. The reality is quite the opposite. The sweet spot is coming to an end and the default rules will again apply. Paradoxically the WMD may keep the wars “small” as they largely have since 1945 but the reality is that any country facing extinction will not hesitate to watch the world burn.

          • Billy Hill November 19, 2023 at 6:58 am #

Was the Indus Valley civilization (Harrapan) a sweet spot? Perhaps there IS a human nature and not just history. Then again, ignoring that debate, does the spiritual underlayment of a civilization determine the superstructure? In this regard the Abrahamic religions don’t get high marks. The pagan Pax Romana compares well.

If last two hundred years are a sweet spot I shudder to think of the sour spot to which we look forward.

Extending your logic, if all countries arm with deliverable nuclear weapons we should enter a new golden age. MAD?
I think we’re out of acronyms.

          • Paula D November 19, 2023 at 2:47 pm #

You keep repeating this so I’ll keep repeating that the, let’s call them, Jihadis were backed by the other superpower of the day. Perhaps you’re heard of the Soviet Union.

The Jihadis had the latest Soviet aircraft, artillery, and armor in ‘67 and ‘73. The Soviets began support for the Jihadi states in the mid-50s, a fact disclosed in 1960, when Soviet Premier Alexei Kosygin acknowledged that the Arab states were receiving “extensive aid” from the Soviet Union so “they can successfully defend their legitimate national rights.”

I guess the question for you is why the Jihadis, unlike the Vietnamese or even the North Koreans, with the support of the USSR, were/are only a formidable force against babies and senior citizens.

The Jewish jihadis had no more claim to Palestine in 1967 or 1973 than they have now. So, the “commies” were backing the right horse—-if there were any “reds” in the picture, and i have not heard of this.

It is well known to the well informed that a huge passel of the Jewish jihadis running the apartheid state of Israel from the beginning are Russkies and other Slavs.

It was the US and UK who supported the jihadis, starting with the Muslim Brotherhood. The USSR supported the more secular nationalistic groups, not the fundamentalist jihadis.

Fun fact: Hillary Clinton’s BFF Huma has brothers in the Muslim Brotherhood.

And let’s not forget the Awan brothers, probable Muslim Brotherhood members who worked for 80 Democrats in Congress, and had access to the computer service used. Why was that “scandal” (scandal is what the msm uses for crimes of the rich and favored) covered up?
It’s almost as if the US government is in cahoots with the Muslim Brotherhood, al Qaeda, Hamas, and ISIS to this very day, or so it seems.

The USSR supported the PLO and the Baath Party , not the Muslim Brotherhood or al Qaeda.

          • King of Comedy November 19, 2023 at 3:08 pm #

I guess when talking to other progressive shitbirds, “genocide”, “apartheid” and “settler colonialism” give the limp dicks a little tingle but to anybody else it sounds like a semi-intelligent parrot repeating the three or for phrases it’s capable of learning. But you do you.

Now try to follow along. You said that Israel could only hold the land because they were supported by the USA, the implication being that the poor Jihadis were fighting advanced weaponry with, I don’t know, rocks and cries of Allahu Akbar. The reality of course is that the Jihadis were being supplied with advanced Soviet weaponry. Other conflicts around the globe have shown that Soviet weaponry could more than hold its own against anything in the American arsenal. Kosygin’s comment of “extensive aid” also indicates that like other Soviet client states during the Cold War, the Jihadis were being supported by a superpower as a counter to the American support.

So the question again is why, with Israel and the Jihadis both receiving superpower support, were the Jihadis such miserable failures while the Israelis were so successful?

          • King of Comedy November 19, 2023 at 3:22 pm #

I’m using “Jihadi” as the analog to the mindless “Zionist”. But the point stands. The dim witted bleating about how Israel has only been able to survive because of Uncle Sam has as its inverse the question of how come the Arab states with an equivalent level of Soviet support weren’t able to pull off the reverse Nakba pipe dream.

          • Anthea November 19, 2023 at 9:26 pm #

            @ King of Comedy:

Somehow I suspect that the level of support of the Russians for the Jihadis was not equal to the level of US support for Israel–which I understand was $260 billion, from 1948 up to 2022.

I don’t think the Russians have been supporting the Jihadis militarily and economically since 1948, or to that degree.

          • Anthea November 19, 2023 at 9:31 pm #

            @ King of Comedy:

I agree with Islander that Israel simply would not exist without ongoing US military and economic support.

Their problem is that the US’s ability to continue providing such support is coming to an end. I’d be very much surprised if Israel exists 10-20 years from now.

          • King of Comedy November 19, 2023 at 10:35 pm #

The Arab states were Cold War proxies for the Soviets. Egypt received the largest amount of aid ever sent by the USSR to a non-communist country. Bottom line is that the Arab states had a huge advantage in 1948 and equivalent if not superior military hardware in 1967 and 1973 and still got their asses kicked. The excuse making for Arab failures is much like the excuse making for the failures of certain “communities” a lot closer to home.

I live a boring, frugal life. I’ve had my success extorted from me and believe that God gave me the Job treatment so that I may be better prepared for when the banks do the same to everyone else. I believe that God wanted me to be at the head of the class.

Over these past two days, I have finished a chapter and started another.

    ***
I was served papers from my ex-wife’s lawyer via eMail at a Best Western in Salmon Arm, British Columbia on November 13, 2015. I was doing a prairie boy-nightmare drive through the Canadian Rockies from Vancouver to Calgary. I had been scouting BC for video shoots and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Then my life changed with that eMail.

I’ve since been through 8 years and 4 days of Hell. I worked so hard and so smart for 22 years of having a major Canadian bank by the balls … and then they just stole it from me.

There are many people in Ontario who deserve Hell themselves.

It’s over now. It is finally finalized. I filed my last legal papers with the Court yesterday.

I am now trying my best to apply Jesus Christ of Nazareth’s message and forgive each and every member of the cabal. It is a tall ask.

    11/13/15 – 11/17/23.

    Chapter fin.

On Thursday I played hockey for the first time since the summer of 2016. I was rustier than I have ever been since I started playing “the game” in 1971. And the guys are really good! I was huffin’ and puffin’ while they were zippin’ and zappin’.

After 7+ years away from the rinks, I started to find my game near the end of the hour’s ice-time. In fact, I even scored two goals in the last 15 minutes.

Great bunch of guys. Mondays & Thursdays. 10am, $10, 10-minute drive from my apartment.

A new (and better) chapter begins.

But (assuming you are new here), OG is a recovering alcoholic. In the past, he’s given the impression that this problem was quite severe. 47. socialisthater November 18, 2023 at 10:08 am #

To the Fascist/Socialist and the Communist/Socialist there is not a non-human God. There can’t be because the Socialist dictator believes that he/she is God and that that those that the dictator rules must know and believe that the dictator is God. The real God just gets in the way of that belief.

Note here that the Muslim zealots now on a mission to destroy the Jews and Israel talk about their “god” incessantly, invoking their god’s name fervently as they slaughter people just to take what they have–land, property, money, wealth, etc. Doesn’t sound very Godlike, does it?

Meanwhile, most sane–meaning non-leftist–Americans are mainly concerned about keeping what they have rightfully earned, maintaining their freedoms, and living in a country secure from both external invasion and internal tyranny. The Democrats’ sole project since at least 2008 has been to expropriate what people have rightfully earned, use every lever possible to diminish to eliminate Americans’ personal freedoms, and to allow, perpetrate, support, and promote policies to encourage outside invasion and internal tyranny.

Things may not be bad enough just yet, but they are rapidly heading for the tipping point. Just as was the case when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, when the good, peaceable Americans get pushed past the brink, they will become vicious, violent, and deadly against their evil Socialist oppressors. That’s called a war.

Susan Sontag and Walter Benjamin both decried photography. They used a lot of high-falutin’ bullshit to disguise the fact that photography is one the least ambiguous of the softer Arts. It exposed and exposes the visual proof of their vapid ideologies for even the hoi polloi to see.

Bobcats are able to take down full size deer – but not without peril. As the Bob tries to crush its windpipe from behind, the deer will run and try to knock the Bob off its back by banging against trees.

One winter in Central Idaho, researchers found two dead Bobcats within a few miles of each other, one with a broken jaw and another with a broken leg. Starved to death in all likelihood after these injuries.

All Bobcats need to come in and live on reservations. Perhaps take up farming or more likely, begging. Nature is a horror show. This is what Gustaph wants for us. At least he allows us weapons!

The world of contemporary poetry, for example, is sliding downhill faster than a tobogganist on ice at an 80 degree angle, mostly because practitioners have misunderstood (or don’t care about) one of many poetic traditions to separate the personal from the universal.

Haven’t been to Finland, Jarek. Someday, if circumstances permit.

Many spiritual experiences, though this isn’t the place to recount them. Jean Klein called them “forefeelings”. And the Japanese called them kensho — or peeps — to differentiate them from satori (full enlightenment).

Hail Elonious, Savior of the West! Can we not support him by beginning to build statues of him, both large and small, making offerings to his genius or indwelling spirit?

Yes, he’s a dork with a vicious sense of humor but he is being used by something greater.

  50. tucsonspur November 18, 2023 at 6:54 pm #

Has Satori or full enlightenment ever been achieved? I doubt it. I guess the journey in trying to attain it can be spiritually beneficial, at least to some degree. A different kind of enlightenment than that of the ‘Age of Enlightenment’ hundreds of years ago.

Anyway, I prefer the Eastern religions to the much more barbaric Western ones.

The examples of this barbarism are too numerous to mention, but one I learned about a long time ago involved the French Wars of Religion in the 1500’s, in which Catholics were killing French Protestants (Huguenots) and vice versa. ‘Wars of Religion’, right.

The so-called Abrahamic religions somehow manage to intertwine murder and slaughter with their fabricated notions of God, as if the two go together like two straws in a coke. What a joke.

However, I always found the connection between the martial arts and Eastern religions intriguing. Remember Kwai Chang Caine, the Shaolin monk, in “Kung Fu”? Of course, that’s tv, but it goes beyond that.

What’s needed today is the Bushido, the way of the Warrior, the way of the Samurai. Follow the Hagakure. We have not done so, and here we are.

      ts,

I don’t know if you’ve heard this one, so here goes:

A great Zen leader, known for his enlightenment and severe regimen, was meditating by himself in a hut, when a thief broke in, brandishing a sword.

“Why do you just sit there, unperturbed? I am one who can run you through in a second without blinking.”

The meditator looked up, calmly: “And I am one who can be run through in a second without blinking.”

The thief bowed, then left without treasure.

      Perhaps apocryphal.

      • tucsonspur November 19, 2023 at 2:26 am #

The thief, while not a Samurai, had some of the Bushido code within him. Maybe a little mercy, but much respect for the Zen leader.

Respect and a bow to unflinching courage. Maybe the beginning of the thief’s reformation.

‘Renewable Energy Czar’, Pizza Gate central character, and Big Dem Operative John Podesta has announced massive bailouts from the Treasurey Department for failing & bankrupt wind farm projects up & down the east & west coasts. At the same time Sec. of Transportation Pete Buttgieg is negotiating with Rivian Motors in Indianapolis to help them stave off a complete collapse of the company as the company loses $33,000 for every vehicle it sells, and at $80,000 per truck it hasn’t sold many. This whole ‘EV Revolution’ & ‘Transituon to Renewables’ movement seems more & more like a huge money sucking grift that will leave the country hungry, cold & broke.

Electric Vehicles (EVs) are meant to condition Americans to reduced mobility.

Then Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) will be promoted as a more affordable way to get around–if they ever succeed to make them operate tolerably well, A driverless vehicle is a very daunting task. And the vehicle itself is very expensive to manufacture.

I mean $400 to $500 thousand. At those prices, it’s only viable as an Uber without a driver.

And once the Uber app becomes ubiquitous, when they find out you read CFN, or worse, if you’re critical of the Israeli government, or if you exceed your monthly allotment of 500km, when you summon your ride, you’ll be greeted with

“Application not available. Please try again later”.

In America, where most people live in suburbs, this lack of mobility is going to really be a huge challenge for people.

Americans under 40 who believed in the US Constitution and personal freedom and limited government should consider moving to… Russia.

Especially if they are Orthodox Christians

        Russia has a labor shortage.

It’s a hard transition. Different language. Different alphabet. The weather is usually lousy, like Michigan or Minnesota, perhaps worse. They don’t have beaches or Florida.

But, but in many ways, it’s a better place to be. People have less stuff, but they are in less of a rat race. The economy works for them–most Russians have the necessities covered.

And there is no push for EVs. Russian households may only have one car, but in 30 years, they’ll still have a car. And gasoline. Will we?

Russian people seem optimistic about the future. The Russians survived THEIR Long Emergency. How will Americans do? Will America degenerate into civil war? In 1861, Washington DC went to all-out war to retain control. Might it do so again in 2031?

The real prospect of all “bible belt” types, small-government types, social conservatives being attacked by the central government like Palestinians were every day, before Oct 07, having their houses razed because of illegal firearm possession or home schooling, or if the Feds can’t do that, having the Feds launch airstrikes, is rich in irony.

    • Paul November 19, 2023 at 9:19 am #

“This whole ‘EV Revolution’ & Transition to Renewables’ movement seems more & more like a huge money sucking grift . . . .”

Sounds like a reasonable interpretation to me.

I haven’t ever been able to wrap my head around the whole EV thing at all, ever since I had one of those early Nokia cell phones with an antenna sprouting out of the top of it. When it was -32 one day, I went outside to burn some garbage and somebody called me on my phone. I answered it, but I barely had time to identify the caller before that battery ran down to zero. I’ve never forgotten that important lesson.

There’s nothing about an EV that is inexpensive. It’s the ultimate ‘disposable car’. The house across the street from my sister and bil’s place has — at my last count — THREE Tesla’s parked in the driveway and on the street in front of the house. Crazy.

Thank-you, BRH, for helping me understand that EV’s aren’t primarily ‘motor’-vehicles at all: they are great-big, expensive, hogzilla pork-roasts, debt-vehicles where everyone — except the owner — carves off a some of the tasty-bits for themselves until the whole roast is nothing more than four bald tires holding a heavy dead battery ten inches off of the ground.

My 02′ Silverado is a pig, but it has a Vortec engine, one of GM’s best. It’s also paid for. And as long as I am disciplined and use it only for the purpose of making money, it’s affordable. It’s got 250,000 kilometers on the odometer now, and it’s running fine. I should be O.K. until private, non-commercial vehicles are banned all together.

Small block Chevy. They’ve been in use since the mid-fifties. Changes of course but almost 70 years in production. I really liked the 283 model. I’m running a 27 YO 350 ci right now. When something works, why change it. More than 100 million engines manufactured. Sure it may be a gas pig, but there’s no replacement for displacement when work needs to be done.

    @BRH

Went to the Cargo Muchachos the miners club I joined has several large claims out there on BLM land this one is 640 acres!

    \\\\http://www.in-the-desert.com/cargomuchaco.html

For a quick placer mining excursion.
Spent half my day getting there and then spent the rest of the day filling in other people’s holes with my tailings.
Never really developed an appreciation for the desert but I have to say it was gorgeous out there.
It was around 80 degrees with a mild breeze and very pleasant.
Found a small picker and some flakes after going through about 8 five gallon buckets of material.
Everyone but me was using a dry washer.

One of the guys claimed he found a 6 ounce nugget out there and another found a 1 ounce nugget a couple of weeks ago but these guys are moles digging out areas as large as a van and about five feet deep over a period of a couple of weeks.

While I was driving in I stumbled across the self-proclaimed largest collection of model T vehicles left in the world among other assorted ancient stuff.

    \\\\https://www.cloudmuseum.dynamitedave.com/

The one thing I saw was just how much water was still in the Colorado river just as it flows into Mexico. All that water in the middle of the desert.

I was in the driveway yesterday, enjoying the last of the warm fall weather, doing a little project working off the tailgate of my truck when I heard the door to the house open and my wife enter the garage. I was thinking uh oh, what now? I could hear her moving stuff around & I could see her gathering cans of WD40, which she threw into the trash. What the hell are you doing? “Why do you need so many of these? This garage needs to be cleared out!” I didn’t argue, just fetched the cans after she went in.

What is “GLT”? I’ve looked around and can’t find a consensus on what it means. I’ve seen meanings from vaguely-defined slang to the ticker symbol for the Glatfelter Corporation.

        • OG November 19, 2023 at 4:54 pm #

          GLT:
For each of these 10 big historical events, score a 1 if you believe that it was a black op and a 0 if you believe the official story.

          JFK ~ 1963
          USS Liberty ~ 1967
          MLK ~ 1968

            Gullibility Litmus Test

          • BackRowHeckler November 19, 2023 at 6:24 pm #

Your GLT is reminiscent of the ‘Acid Test’ Ken Kesey & the Merry Pranksters staged in SF in the 1960s.

Can you pass the acid test?

The GLT, like the Acid Test, is an insight into your soul. It tells you who you are, and who you want to be.

OG, you’ll need to stage your own ‘Trips Festival’, not in San Francisco but in Saskatchewan. All who attend will be administered the GLT. Those who pass (score a 0) will be given a diploma in a graduation ceremony — GLT Graduation — with Edgar Elgar’s ‘Pomp & Circumstance’ playing in the background, delivered with suitably rock flourishes.

They want to ignore the actual genocide of drug overdoses and not deal with the fact Chinese chemicals being concocted by drug cartels into fentanyl are killing people all over the country.
Killing teenagers to old hippy homeless types and everyone in between.
Want to see a good idea?
Just look at what the Democrats are pushing and do the opposite.

          • Anthea November 21, 2023 at 10:36 am #

            @ benr:

The leftist response to plain facts and objective reality is, most of the time, “I don’t believe it.” E.g., the millions and millions of illegal immigrants pouring across our border is not really happening. There really isn’t any human trafficking/sex trafficking or child sex trafficking going on. Illegal immigrants don’t impose any serious costs upon Americans. The nation’s debt-to-income ratio doesn’t matter at all.

Liberals “don’t believe” data showing that excess deaths, especially among working-age people, are at unprecendented levels. It is okay to kill a baby in the womb because they “don’t believe” it’s really a baby.

They live in a hologram projected by the MSM, which adjures them to believe all kinds of preposterous things. Men can get pregnant and menstruate, and the necesssities of life come into being without work or materials costs. (They are neither biologists nor accountants.)

Their “belief” in all this conjury is truly extraordinary.

The effort to remove him from the ballot in MN failed as well last week.

Same thing as CO though, the court ruled vaguely citing something or other that the case doesn’t apply her per state law, but still left open the door to posturing that they perhaps wish they could…who knows, maybe change the ruling later if need be, when the wind blows.

The CYA is ridiculous. What they should say is, “Yeah, but there was no insurrection, so…your case is dumb. Let’s all just go home.”

      • SoftStarLight November 19, 2023 at 3:47 pm #

Yeah, I know what you mean. They will fall back to a narrative something like well we couldn’t legally remove him from the ballot but people really need to beware of him because that question lingers over him and some evidence may still come to light that there was an insurrection.

Oh that reminds me. I completely spaced out mentioning the release of the J6 footage that happened. It is actually a super big deal but I haven’t had a lot of energy just yet for it. I mean we all know here that it was a big psyop but now its really out there and there was so much fed involvement it is really crazy and over the top.

          SSL

Huge amounts of the video coverage was never seen, much of it showing that the 1/6 fiasco was anything but an insurrection.

The report I read was aimed at the bitch, Cheney who is raising hell with Mike Johnson trying to block the release. Why is she so afraid of the release. Because it will show how cowardly she and others were by shaping the evidence to condemn Trump. Two people need to pay the price for that House investigation and its bias, Cheney and Pelosi. Cheney already did.

          • Tweedledum November 19, 2023 at 5:51 pm #

“Why is she so afraid of the release?”
I suspect she’s looking forward to January 6th, 2025 when the MAGATs will have another go at strangling democratic government. How well will the next lot of insurrectionists (no doubt well-armed this time) know the Capitol and its exploitable weaknesses when they come back, having studied in great detail so much footage?

          • SoftStarLight November 19, 2023 at 6:13 pm #

Yep, hiding evidence, distorting it and lying about it are basically what they did. It is a shame that it took this long for the footage to be released and I’m not sure how much of it there actually is out there yet.

The judge looked like a trans, definitely a Left-winger out to get Trump. She, emphasis on she, said the law did not allow her to stop Trump from appearing on the ballot, but he definitely was the source of the insurrection.

None of the Mike Sherman, et al, among us ever have anything to say about what they’re actually in favor of. I guess this must be because it would be impossible to mention any of the tenets of the leftist belief system without looking ridiculous.

Mike Sherman likes to imply that it is the conservatives who are unhinged; thus, obviously, he does not dare mention any specific examples of conservatives’ crazy, unhinged beliefs–such as the impossibility of men getting pregnant or–lets face it–the risibility of two dudes getting married to each other. Or conservatives’ opposition to the sexual mutilation of children.

These guys have to stick to drive-by ad hominems, as they can’t discuss actual issues without looking like morons.

But tweedledums are too dumbs to see.

A nice cozy villa in sunny Tristan da Cunha..

That wouldn’t be a good message to receive depending upon your state of mind. Tristan da Cunha is actually the location of the most remote human settlement on the planet. The absolute most remote location in the world is Bouvet Island. But what a lot of people don’t think about is that Tristan da Cunha is an archipelago so there are three other islands there at least, and one of them is called Inaccessible Island. So that is pretty neat.

But sunny it for sure is not. Basically in the South Atlantic it’s like at a similar latitude in the Southern Hemisphere that it would be like on the same latitude of New England if it was in the Northern Hemisphere so its cloudy and cool most of the year with a lot rain but not really much snow except on the peak of the volcano.

GreenAlba, I am coming to the conclusion that the majority of the population does not have the time, motivation, or wherewithal to grasp the “big picture”, and this will only be accomplished when they choose to do so.

So, they rely on their “trusted” news source to ferret out the facts and truth for them.

Do you have a suggestion on a “5 minute seed that can be planted”, that will irrefutably discredit a “trusted” news source (in this instance CNN) regarding an issue (in this instance covid)? Some bit of information that will shake their “trust” to the foundation, where they will either research it for themselves, and/or engage in a discussion.

Then do you have any secondary suggestions?

Or, is there a better way to discredit the various “trusted” news sources?

For replies such as: Yea, but Trump …, I believe the proper reply is to tell them that Trump was duped along with the rest of the population.

          • JohnAZ November 20, 2023 at 12:25 am #

When a population is robbed of its collective intelligence by bullshit education and indoctrination so that it does not understand what is happening, it can be swayed easily by five minute snippets carefully edited to show the bad or good about any issue, but never both. There are no trusted news agencies anymore. Used to be that the news was just that, Huntley and Brinkley talking about the days happenings. Then Cronkite started the CBS Leftist swing that his successor, Mike Wallace I believe, took even more Left. It seems like all the networks drifted Left over the decades. The question is why? If there is a 50-50 split in this country, why are the networks and now the cable news not split also. Wha’ happened? Where did the impartiality of the general public go, along with its journalists and become the uniparty, promoted by the Deep State. Heck, where did the Deep State evolve from?

            This country has been hijacked!!!!!!

By whom? The Mob? The WEF? China, especially California? Islamabad? The Blacks? The Clinton Mob would try to say it is Russia, Russia, Russia. Their argument might hold water forty years ago, if it wasn’t’t so obvious that they are part of the hijacking themselves.

I wanted to believe that Trump may have had the smarts to think and act past the scoundrels, but now I am not sure we can take him out of the ignorance of Joe Average.

The Deep State thrives on the ignorance and dependence of the people.

JohnAZ, I will venture a guess that the news evolved to where they only presented one side of an issue due to that which was best for their bottom line.

Bret Baier seems to be as close as it gets anymore.

As for the rest of your questions, I can’t help but think that it has to do with the extreme economic disparity of the population.

I am confronted with elderly people who were education prior to the indoctrination, so the only thing I can figure is their mind is closed as a result of a variety of beliefs that they can reconcile in such a manner that their position on any issue will not disrupt their lifestyle.

Debates, confrontation, and argumentation are destroying the fabric of society. So, what is the key to getting people to to realize that they are being indoctrinated?

I just heard about that. Will there be two more? They say that celebrity/famous people deaths happen in clusters of three.

Can someone tell me, how is a “nose guard” different from an everyday ordinary generic “guard?”

Thy Beautiful Anarchy Cometh. Are Thee Ready? Leaving Blobtopia & State Governments As Blobtopia

“One Somali visitor to New York City told a friend of mine, ‘We don’t like governments and we just don’t want one.’

Among the armed groups roaming around Somalia, no doubt the strangest are five or six companies of good old-fashioned pirates who have discovered just how easily a leaky dhow or motorboat-full of AK-47 toting ex-fishermen can hijack a huge container ship…

With the collapse of government in 1991, the unprotected Somali coast began to attract two kinds of international criminals: illegal fishing expeditions and illegal toxic waste dumping operations. Local fishermen were violently shoved aside by high-tech armed vessels from many countries… Facing starvation from highly depleted and poisoned fisheries, the Somalis felt forced to take ‘law’ into their own hands and resist the invaders…

A well-informed Kenyan journalist, Mohammad Abshir Waldo, maintains that ‘Somali piracy’ is simply a response to the international capitalist piracy of illegal fishing and dumping. But while the pirates are condemned as monsters, nothing is done to protect the Somalian people from wholesale depletion of fisheries or the pollution from toxic nuclear and medical waste.

As one socialist in the European Union Parliament noted, the moral outrage is all about ‘protecting oil tankers. Nobody gives a damn about the people in Somalia who die like flies.’ The Western media have mocked this suffering with headlines like, ‘They Stole Our Lobsters, say Pirates,’ or simply ignore it.

According to the ‘pirate spokesperson’ Suguli Ali, who enjoyed his 15 seconds of fame when his crew took a container ship full of tanks and other military goods last year, ‘We don’t consider ourselves sea bandits. We consider the bandits to be those who illegally fish and dump in our seas.’…” ~ Hakim Bey, 2009, Fifth Estate.org

“I have answered the generic ‘warlord objection’ to anarchy elsewhere. Regarding Somalia in particular, Ben Powell et al. have done fantastic work analyzing Somalia before and after its transition to statelessness, and also comparing its fate with similar African nations. Their conclusion is that — of course — stateless Somalia is no paradise, but its lack of a corrupt, brutal government has given it an advantage over its former self and its current peers.

Somalia has achieved remarkable progress since the collapse of the brutal dictatorship of Siad Barre in 1991. If people in the more developed countries of the world wish to help the impoverished region, we can certainly send money and even visit to offer medical services and other assistance. But if the West foists the ‘gift’ of another state on the beleaguered Somalis, their appropriate response should be, ‘No, you shouldn’t have.’.” ~ Anarchy in Somalia, 06/30/2011, Robert P. Murphy, Mises.org

“A nation can only take so much corruption, crime, and unreality. ‘We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality’, said Karl Rove, veteran blobster and advisor to George W. Bush, when he uttered those fateful words. Even political junkies forget the rest of what he said:

And while you’re studying that reality — judiciously, as you will — we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.’ ” ~ JHK
