The Dead Rise on John Street
You might have noticed that the massive investment in Halloween yard shrines by families growing broke in America reflects the ghoulish convergence of malevolent events undermining and overtaking what used to be normal life in this land. Nothing is normal anymore. The groaning mummies, howling werewolves, and shrieking skeletons are trying to tell us something.
The message might be: detach from reality long enough and death comes creeping ’round your door. You see where consensual madness has gotten us? Believe enough things that are not true and nemesis comes roaring in, all fangs and claws, to gleefully shred you. So. Maybe it’s time to stop believing things that are not true.
Start with the first principle of US life in our time: that anything goes and nothing matters. This proposition has ruled for as long as most of us can remember. Consequence was exiled on Main Street so you can get away with anything now — until you discover that, somehow, everything is broken. Your livelihood is broken. Your community is broken. Your household is broken. Your car is broken. Your children are broken. Your health is broken. Your faith is broken. Your country is broken.
Here’s a first principle worth considering: court death and it will oblige you. Granted, there is a certain libido for nonexistence in the human psyche because life is so hard sometimes that you yearn to be relieved of it. But not everyone in America seeks to walk that way. Probably fewer than half of us. So why do we allow that other half to drag us to the bone orchard? Do you see what it means to get your mind right when times get hard and the path is uncertain?
Everybody knows that a ghoul was installed in the now-haunted White House. And everybody knows that the method of his installation was a fraud, a gigantic falsehood. The catch is that the fewer than half of us liked it that way, they celebrated it, did a victory dance, and then rubbed it in with prosecutions against the rest of us who saw exactly what happened and didn’t like it. They acted like it didn’t matter what you saw.
They tried to control the transmission of ideas and sentiment about these matters by placing half the CIA and the FBI on Facebook, Twitter, and Google. Nice try, but only cads and fools think that you can stuff reality in a black box, lock it up, and throw away the key. Reality has Houdini-like powers to escape because reality is true magic. Reality is the ultimate super-power. Reality is not some asshole in a spandex suit with a cape and a mask. Reality is the white light that reveals the world.
Reality is telling us that the war project in Ukraine started by the neocon pseudopod of our Deep State blob is not working out. The fiasco could not be more rank. Instead of weakening Russia, it crippled the USA. V. Putin is not the enemy of Western Civ, he’s one of its last remaining defenders. Was it not in everyone’s interest that for seventy-five years Ukraine existed as an inert borderland, making trouble for nobody, itself especially? Could we not respect that reality and leave it alone?
Reality is telling us that Israel refuses to be massacred out of existence. Israel will defend itself with us or without us. It’s possible they’ll manage it intelligently. You might ask: will we defend ourselves against the same antagonist that wants to wipe all of Western Civ off the face of the earth, us included? Notice that your own will to survive is being subverted by useful idiots while warrior cadres of mysterious origin pour across the Mexican border. Everyone knows it’s a clear and present danger and who will move to stop the invasion? Do we have to wait for a catastrophe?
Who is “Joe Biden” working for? Wouldn’t you like to know? Not much is left of him in mind or body, though he made a fortune in a short span of years for doing effectively nothing but retailing his favor before landing so uncannily in the seat of power. The truth about it is all over the place now and might provoke constitutional procedures that will induce the de-platforming he likely deserves. All that is going to unspool now whether The New York Times pays attention to it or not, and no matter what the fewer than half of us want to pretend about the evil legerdemain that put him where he is.
The extended festival of ghouls and dancing skeletons comes to an end in a week with the Day of the Dead, also known as All Saints Day. That is your cue to stop celebrating wickedness for its own sake. Remember, we are the living. While we are here, we have an obligation to those who come after us. The dead can take care of themselves. It is possible to have faith in ourselves. Even as the days grow shorter, the people of this land can gather in the remaining light instead of worshipping the darkness. A new season will be upon us soon. Hark, the herald angels sing!

The opposite of Satan, the purveyor of death, is something we gave up a long time ago and will outlive all of us, especially the USA.
And Satan treats his disciples even worse than those of us who are his enemies…he respects us..We must all heed the words of Solzhenitsyn…if evil shall (temporarily) triumph, it shall not be through our words or deeds…
Does Satan treat his disciples worse? From what I see these days the wicked, the perverted, the debauched, the reprobates, they are all filthy rich and finding positions of power and glory. I disagree. Satan appears to reward his minions handsomely. God, however, rewards his followers with pain, sickness, suffering and even death all for the “promise” of greater rewards to come.
Makes sense doesn’t it? Maybe it’s true but it sure doesn’t help lighten the load with today’s burdens.

We are a culture that worships death. Everything is about death and violence now. Abortion is celebrated and fought to uphold, the literal murder of a baby, is a protected right in many of our states today. is this so different from the ancient Israelites who sacrificed their children upon the altars of Baal?
Most movies produced today involve violence, murder, rape or demonic images. Rarely do movies today involve love, justice, peace, light and love for God with moral people.
Video games, mostly, are violent.
All of this seems to coincide with the gradual debasement of God in our society. As religion continues to succumb to the powers of godlessness that void is filled with a new religion that everyone tries to deny is actually a religion. Godlessness is a religion. It is replaced with violence, death, debasement and debauchery.
Only a return to the light will save us.
Unreasoning, sowing chaos, driven to eat the remnants of productive society, whose laws and institutions have failed … seems like a perfect metaphor for leftism to me.
I’ve been avoiding the news on mainstream media for a week and I’m glad I did. Watching CNN, CBC, CBS, ABC, and NBC it’s hard not to feel helpless, confused, hopeless and think that nothing we do matters. I think it’s called learned helplessness and I think the media has programmed it into populace just like mass formation psychosis because it allows the deep state to demoralize and divide the population and divert attention from it’s own nefarious activities like giving billions of dollars in aid to terrorist organizations like Hamas through middlemen like Iran while claiming they are standing with Israel or allowing NATO to encircle Russia, thereby leading to a long and bloody proxy war and official internet censorship that might expose the truth. I’m done rambling for now and want to thank JHK for another excellent and incisive post. Now if only we could get rid of Joe Biden and Justin Trudeau and let the adults take charge in Washington and Ottawa.

Of course it does! The prevalence of zombies and death is a largely unconscious projection of our collective malaise. Remember the Skulls? A few years’ back they were there on damn near everything, like an ‘in-your-face’ message that almost everyone buying, wearing, tattooing, gifting and trading in them failed to pickup: “REMEMBER, YOU MUST DIE”!
There was one skull in particular that was particularly effective in conveying this message. It was basically a hollow-eyed, narrow-chined Skull superimposed over a mushroom cloud. it was scary as fuck! I’m sure people bought them by the ton and wore them doing the most mundane things: cutting their grass, washing their cars, eating, etc., etc., etc. . . .

But JHK is talking about reality in this blog-post, and he is calling the massacre of the Palestinians in Gaza right now by the Israelis “Israel defending itself”, and that is not the reality of the situation. Not only that, much of the Western Civilization he so reveres in that paragraph has been rising up in mass protest of the massacre despite such demonstrations being banned in a few countries by captured globalist governments. I don’t expect to disabuse JHK or much of the American right of their blind-spot for Israel, but I’m going to call a spade a spade when somebody tries to call it a diamond or a heart.
It strikes me as odd that in a blog specifically dedicated to the ramifications of the collapse of the “world order” and the postwar anomaly that anybody can manifest such delicate sensibilities. The world is, to paraphrase Hunter Thompson, “on a survival trip” and the survival of Us almost always means (and has almost always meant) the elimination of Them. The niceties of international law and giving a shit about world opinion were all fantasies brought about by a once in a planet’s lifetime abundance that is going away. The world is simply reverting to the metric of each country and group doing what it must to survive. You may find that objectionable but the reality of history, both past and future, doesn’t really care about your objection. You like everybody else will soon have to pick a side and woe unto those who don’t understand that blood is thicker than water.
Btw, the demonstrations you speak of are largely populated by “enemies inside the gates” of Western Civilization who would just as soon “decolonize” Western Civilization as Israel. A preview, if you will, of coming attractions…
Well, I can’t help but find it sad and alarming that some people seem to think that we should deal with the oncoming crisis of population and resources by reverting to our most base instincts, as those instincts are going to have access to nuclear weapons this time around. But if the only way we know how to respond to such crises is reversion to those instincts, perhaps our extinction as a species was always a tragic inevitability.

We can debate whether Israel bombed the hospital deliberately or by accident, or whether Hamas did it.
I believe Israel did it. But let’s say it was a stray Hamas rocket (and if Hamas had rockets that powerful, why would they NOT use them on Israel).

The truth is harsh mistress. To be clear, in the 1930s the Germans began harassing Jews. Once WW2 was in full swing, the Germans began exterminating them.
This ghastly crime against humanity was a huge boost to the creation of the state of Israel.
The deplorable tactics that technology allowed people to see this crimes (most of which I think were actual, some may have been doctored, aka the flying Hamas troops) wasn’t present in 1947-48, when Jewish gangs like the Irgun and Stern used these same tactics against Palestinians.

Is the murder of American citizens OK? I guess it is, when it’s done by the IDF, who attacked the USS Liberty in 1967, to take it out, so they could carry out their sneak attack on the Arabs. 32 KIA, 150-plus wounded.
And the Israelis treatment of the NATIVE Palestinians is similar to the early days of the Holocaust.
And why not? The Israeli lobby controls US policy.
But let’s say Americans wake up and say enough.
Then, Israel will bare her teeth. They have nuclear missiles and nuclear subs that can attack anyone, anywhere. Nuclear blackmail.
That’s why Israel has never negotiated in good faith.

The older I get. The more ornery I become. Were the Palestinians defending themselves when they attacked Israel? If some other nation attacked America and killed hundreds, I would say retaliate and kill thousands. If they killed thousands of my people. Then retaliate and kill a hundred thousand. What do you expect. Turning the cheek is not an option. We’ll be going back to the 18th century if we’re lucky, or to the stone age if not.

Not possible that there was a) a breach in security without triggering a massive response, b) not responding for hours after the fact, c) Hamas does not act on its own without permission- it is a creation of Israel and the US- they openly admit that fact.

Yes, I’ve focused on the illegitimate birth. Both points, and particularly around those you’ve made are clearly in the ‘this world’ category. I might add, WATER is another of Israel’s worldly concerns, where Palestinians stand in the way of complete control.

Sometimes I can’t help but wonder how history might have been different had the existing Native population of the Americans not been almost instantly decimated by the diseases such as smallpox and the bubonic plague that Europeans brought to these shores. Even so – two nurses at our
dinky little local hospital, strangers to me, offered to come to my house and help me to stack firewood. I know the local people well enough to be aware that they never make an idle gesture; when they offer to help, if you accept, they’re there in a heartbeat and prepared for anything. My husband and I have received more outright love and practical help from these “deplorables” than I would have believed was left in the world.
There are other pockets of civilisation to be found, most of them equally unlikely looking at first glance, and these are the places from which the world will be rebuilt.

In reference to ” families growing broke in America”, I live in rural coastal plain rural NC and have noticed the subdivision houses increasingly placed here are not only selling, but still being built. Development has slowed down a bit I think, but still moving at a pretty good clip. I can’t imagine spending a minimum of 350K for these “new homes” and financing it at close to 8% for 30 years, but that’s what people are still doing.
I think it may be a kind of crack up boom. If people qualify for the home loan they take it, figuring it will only be more difficult in the future. I hope it stops soon, before they build even more, creating more of what I moved to escape.

The house is nice but nothing special – a carefully kept tract house from the early 1960s. I can see no conceivable way that they can pay for this house for more than a few years, if they’re very lucky. The selling price of the house is far beyond what it’s worth in any sane market; it would have sold for about $80,000 not at all long ago. A reckoning is coming, and it won’t be pretty.

In the past, JHK has mentioned that we won’t be able to form up capital like we used to and he’s illustrated the sources that create that capital i.e. financial, social, cultural, political, and material.
I think the form of Reality to hit us first will be the inability to form up legitimate AUTHORITY. Before capital in any form can be assembled, or reassembled, a legitimate authority must exist to order it into being and manage its distribution.

Riding a motorbike also requires getting in shape and getting ready for doing battle – and I’m talking real battle – with the elements. You’ll be riding in cold, heat, rain, and even snow. Being out of shape simply won’t cut it if you’re living what’s basically an African lifestyle on dirt and gravel roads for the rural areas. In the long emergency everyone will be in shape. That’s what happens in a world made by hand.
Also diet, the explosion of calorie intake, especially eating out, will also be curtailed.
It takes a lot of exercise to work off a Big Mac.

In Switzerland and France, people eat cream, butter, cheese, potatoes, bread, chocolate… but you very rarely see a fat person. Wanna know why? 1. At meals, they eat modest portion sizes, and never have seconds; 2. They don’t snack between meals, and they don’t eat highly-processed/”convenience” foods; 3. They walk and bike everywhere.

Groundhog’s description of “African” lifestyle dirt and gravel roads in rural areas is not all that much different from US lifestyles in the 40s–and even into the 50s in some places. Subsistence farming was quite the usual thing in the US for about half of the 20th Century: outhouses, no running water, canning every vegetable that would hold still long enough, shelling beans next to the wood stove in winter, walking to and from school in the snow, etc.
One of my high school friends grew up without running water in the 50s and 60s, in the little town of Lake City. It’s near the Lake City Army Ammunition plant, and I suppose the plant was named after it. She drove me out to see the town recently, because, even though I grew up in the area and had heard of Lake City, I had no idea where it was and thought it must be an imaginary place. Anyway, it’s still there, almost unchanged. There are about twelve houses there.
Some of the old ladies around here, who are not all that much older than I am, tell me that their bedspreads were made from flour sacks. (Maybe their dresses too.)
I think people forget that the present almost insane affluence has only been around for a few decades. Sometimes it seems a little insane, even to me, and I grew up in what was a middle-class home (with running water and such) for that era. In some ways, it kind of scares me that I can go online and order a spice mill and a soap cutter, and hear that my daughters have bought a new sectional, put up fall decorations, and bought seasonal throw pillows, when my grandparents sat on split-bottomed chairs.
My mother used to say that today’s world wasn’t better. It was just different. (That’s what she said her old-lady friends also said.) Happiness doesn’t have much to do with whether you have a big flat-screen TV or a fancy house or fancy furniture. It really has to do with the people in your life.
It is also because cream, butter, cheese, and chocolate don’t really make one fat.
Fat comes from eating lots of carbs and sugars. Carbs turn to sugar and refined sugar in particular is evil.
If you have not tried it. Spend a few months eating largely protein. Some veggies and yoghurt for the gut.
You will not only drop weight, you will build muscle like a demon if you do any physical activity.
I have been chopping wood for the winter all week while eating this diet and I think I have gone up a full shirt size.

Owl what’s the situation in Germany as far as felling trees? Can you cut down a tree on your own property or do you need to get a permit from the town? Also is there any problem with having a woodstove in your house?
Anything over 80 cm in height requires a permit. Some species are protected.
Most of our neighbors are cool, so we were able to cut down some that needed to go. We replaced them (plus a few more)as I like things idyllic.
No problem with the stove yet in the burbs, but the green/red coalition nutters are working on that…
A side note here, too: When I took down the trees (about 19 altogether; many sick) I was out back with a chain saw for 3-4 days.
When I think back, we got lucky that we never got a visit from anyone.

Women need strength training just as much as do men, especially after menopause.
If you have a bad back or other physical limitations, you can use bolsters, ropes, even furniture (for leverage, balance).

Our culture has turned its back on its Judeo-Christian roots for so long that few remember the idea behind both Halloween and Mardi Gras. For Christians at least, they were a day to party before a more sober time of prayer and introspection.
Halloween is a corruption of Eve of All Hallows, (ie. saints). It was a day to acknowledge, at least figuratively the dark side. The day after is All Saints Day a day to pray for those who have gone to the Lord. At least when I was growing up, church that day was mandatory. Forget about all the candy until after school.

There is the (‘apparent’) Outer World of faux-matter and human ‘events’ in which we collectively live. And then there is the Inner World (the World in our Minds/Spirit i.e. the ‘real World’) which can be untouched and unaffected by all that appears to go on around it (if we choose to use it that way. We can give in and contribute to the madness if we choose to). And the Outer World is but a reflection of what goes on in one’s Inner World.
So as you speak of bad times being the norm… there is always a mix of good times going on with the bad at every moment. And when bad events do happen in the Outer World… this is the end result of a mind collective of individuals who choose to conjure and create such bad events that are being hatched in their Inner World… and bad Spirit.
‘Reality’ means more than one thing. It requires a context. Our most fundamental reality is that we live in a Quantum Matrix of unlimited potentials that exist concurrently. It is only when we ‘Collapse the Wave’ (as Quantum scientists put it) by our ‘Observation’ that one of these Realities becomes manifest (chosen). So in short… ‘bad times are the norm’ when there are a sufficient number of individuals on this Earth who Observe it that way. The more people who choose to get their minds out of the gutter… the Outer World immediately begins to improve its station.
The ‘Outer World’ is always a reflection of our Spirit(s) manifested. This is the secret to bringing Heaven or choosing to live in Hell.

What we have in Israel is two groups of people fighting over a piece of real estate, just as people have customarily done for tens of thousands of years. This is of course within a context of the whole surrounding Arab world, which has also been fighting over real estate for tens of thousands of years. Not our problem–nor is it likely that we can have any lasting impact on this very alien world and its wars and grievances.
We owe neither Israel nor any of the Arab states anything at all. We shouldn’t be providing support for anyone in the Middle East, in the form of either blood or treasure. Let Israel fight its own wars without our support.

Supercute painting by the way. Halloween never scared me. I always liked bats, spiders, full-moonlit-nights, craggly leafless trees, attics, old Victorian houses, black cats, crows, scarecrows, ghosts, skeletons and stuff like that. Not so much the gory stuff, though, although admittedly, I did like a zombie movie scene where they asked one of the women zombies why she wanted to eat their brains and she responded in maybe an Eastern European accent, something like “To ease the pain of decay.”. I seem to recall her not having any bottom half, just an exposed spine that sort of wriggled around a little.
Maybe zombies can be reasoned with somewhat, like her, but I don’t recall them asking her to try to just skip on the brain-eating thing because then they too would turn into zombies and then have to go looking for non-zombie brains to eat until there was no one left except zombies forever full of the pain of decay.

I’ve been posting a lot here, mostly because I just retired and I’m not sure yet what to do with myself.
Anyway, this may possibly be my last day posting for a little while because on Wednesday I have to go in for a colonoscopy, one of the most enjoyable things I like to do (super major /sarc.). Tomorrow I have to endure the cleaning out process, drinking 8 oz of fluid every hour, fast until after the procedure, then before I go to bed drink 15 oz of that wonderful magnesium citrate drink, followed by another 15 oz at 5 a.m. on Wed. morning. After which I get put under. It’s a real shitty procedure (pun intended). After the colonoscopy, I will squeak when I walk, I’ll be so clean.
Oh, yeah, for the past 4 days I had to go on a low fiber diet, which has made me uncomfortable. After all, we can’t have fiber leftovers lodged inside me.
Usually, people my age don’t have this done, but in my lifetime 3 prior colonoscopies, I’ve had polyps removed. You know, plop, plop, polyp.
Going into this detailed description of an unpleasant situation helps me cope.
BTW, I’ll pay anyone $100 if they go in my place and say I’m me.
As a multiple survivor of the same procedure, you have my sympathy. Luckily, today, they do not put you under as deeply as in the past and so less bad vibes post op.

I never got bad vibes afterwards, so I hope they do make me lightly unconscious. I do remember many years ago I got a sigmoidoscopy. I didn’t get to take anything and I was fully conscious. It hurt like hell – maybe about the most painful I ever felt. I forgot about the sigmoidoscopy until just now.
I think the worst pain I ever had was after I had my gall bladder removed. They had to put a drainage tube in while I was healing. When they yanked it out, it brushed against my liver. It only hurt for an instant but that pain was so bad and so intense, I didn’t believe I could ever experience that much. I had had a gall bladder attack, which was why I went into the hospital. The pain wasn’t too bad, but I felt pretty sick. The doctor said my gall bladder was ‘chock-a- block’. He didn’t understand how I lasted so long with that kind of pain.
My wife told him that I had a high tolerance for pain, thus setting herself up for a great comeback. I replied that I was married to her for so many years, no wonder why my pain tolerance grew enormously. Lol.
I’ve been talking about my medical issues so much, but actually I’ve been pretty healthy most of my life. I hope that continues after my colonoscopy. They say youth is wasted on the young, while I say old age is not for the faint of heart.

Much sympathy. I’ve managed to avoid doctors and hospitals for most of my life, but sooner or later you get old and there’s stuff wrong with you. I’m still awaiting the third go-round of cataract surgery, where they put in a lens (so I can see), which has been put off due to inflammation. But in a few weeks I guess I’ll have to go in and endure having my iris dilated so they can stick something the size of a hubcap in there–which is what it will feel like for awhile.
It may make you a little uncomfortable (not painful), but wait until you can see better – it should make the experience worthwhile.
My vision was so bad that even cataract surgery and an implanted contact lens couldn’t get the vision in my left eye back to normal. I have keratoconus in that eye which gives me extreme astigmatism that exceeds the strongest corrective lens now available. Still, I can see pretty ok. My other eye is now 20/20, which is great.
I guess that makes both of us one-eyed people. My other eye is 20/20. I’ve been one-eyed for quite awhile, for all practical purposes, and thus I have avoided city driving. I’m fine on rural and familiar roads.
On a recent trip to Sprouts, I managed to knock over sever displays with the electric shopping cart. It got to where they assigned me a spotter. They were surprisingly kind about this.
Most of the trouble is that Sprouts has very narrow, cluttered aisles, with barrels and stacks of cute little crates stacked up for displays that stick out into the aisle–and they are on both sides at both ends of literally every aisle. Those electric shopping carts don’t have a turning radius that is adequate for this kind of situation, and they make rather sudden stops and starts.
The thing is, with only one good idea, a person has no depth perception.
The last time I was at Sprouts (after an eye appointment), my daughter came with me, partly to be my spotter.

I’ve been reading Kunstler since around 2006. He used to have a sensible, logical approach to issues and potential solutions. Since his inversion/diversion/conversion following the Trump election in 2016, he’s most certainly changed his perspective – or at least the perspective he displays here…(red meat for the base?) – to the point where he reads as clearly as OG – which isn’t saying much.
Thank you for taking time to provide some background and context to the discussion. I am unfamiliar with OG, but I must say that I enjoy Mr. Kunstler’s writing style and expression as displayed here. I find his writing to be crisp, precise and entertaining.

I agree with you re: JHK’s writing style – it is punchy and concise. However, the way the core subject matter has evolved over recent years is alarming to me.
I believe I can even recall when it first turned septic. He had delivered a lecture at a university. The later dinner hosted by the department (English?) was peppered with honest and forthright opinions. JHK apparently made a remark about the fact (indisputable in my opinion) that Blacks do better in education if they drop the ebonics. This was reported to a third party who decided to be outraged for everyone she felt JHK had insulted. What a stupid bint. However, it blew up on Twitter and JHK suffered measurable fallout. Not surprisingly, he also felt more than a little aggrieved and suffered a drop in income thereafter. Since then, he has been expressing an inner rag & frustration. On 23 Sept.1947, ad hoc committee was formed by the general assembly to study the Partition Proposal. Comprised of three parts, Britain, Arabs and the Jewish Agency. The Arabs rejected most of the Partition plan, the Jews accepted most of it and Britain, sitting the fence(my words) “did not feel able to implement the Plan” unless both sides agreed to it.
On October 23. 1947 Ad hoc subcommittee was formed to draw up a plan based on Arab proposals. The result was put to the International Court of Justice and blessed.
This resolution was passed by the General Assembly on 27 November 1947. 33-13 with 10 abstentions, making the 2/3 requirement. Significant votes were, USA yes, Soviet Union yes. China abstain, Britain abstain. Interestingly, Ukraine voted for.
The UN blessed resolution was probably celebrated in Jewish Palestine and put down violently by the Arabs in Palestine and from Arab countries surrounding Israel. So the Brits terminated their mandate on May 14, 1948.
BenGurion read the Israeli Declaration of Independence on May 14. The Jewish nation now proceeded to kick the crap out of all the surrounding Arab states and the Arabs in Israel to enforce the Jewish half of the resolution. On the subject of population control I think you and I agree ?
All previous attempts at population control ended in one of three ways ;
— totalitarianism
— genocide
— it was the group deemed superior that died out.
I think I would do better to base policy on past track record , rather than on speculative wishful – thinking.
I often argue for population control because on a simplistic level it is the most rational and central solution to so many human problems…political, environmental, economic and historical.
Problem with population control as an actual, real-life solution is… it doesn’t account for people being monsters. It assumes a pretty utopian view of human beings’ ability to operate collectively and rationally. So my support for it is not totally fake, but more theoretical and less real.
Without population-control, I don’t see any ultimate outcome to current trajectories that is not chaotic and gruesome (though often, but not always, slow and incremental in human-time). But pressed, I will say gruesome chaos is probably the real, natural and right solution to current human situations, not any population-control program.
Point being, if someone opposes population-control programs, I hope they are in favor of the alternative, gruesome chaos… as I am.

Also, I have zero desire for digital enslavement of mankind, and actually think your (and those like you) failure to recognize energy, environmental and population-density problems is propelling us directly TOWARD that enslavement.

I said this years ago, but I would put my energy bills and environmental practices up against yours any day.
What I don’t care for is people who make outlandish claims they cannot back, such as the earth being at “carrying capacity”–again, a number you yourself cannot even define–but then run off when asked to provide proof.

I find it puzzling that you say you listened to over half the presentation, because Lindsay (always on point, always brilliant) specifically mentions in the 1st half that economic Marxism has evolved to fit changing conditions. Because capitalism was so successful, Marxism couldn’t stir up the workers any longer because the latter were so much more well off than they used to be. So leftist leaders had to shift to stirring up the young in universities. The link to Mao is obvious and fitting, in all its ramifications.
Economic Marxism has become cultural Marxism. Anyone with eyes and ears knows this. Chrissakes, just look at the ‘thought leaders’ of the Woke. They all make six figures, so who’s the capitalist mouthpiece? My comment about “anyone” was meant to be taken facetiously. Apparently there are still about 50% of the population that doesn’t know this.
