Time, they say, is nature’s way of making sure that everything doesn’t happen at once. Whoever “they” are — and these days it is liable to be just one person — obviously hadn’t tried living in the USA in 2023, because now everything is happening at once. The cosmic weirdness has left some observers, such as the formidable and admirable Naomi Wolf, to wonder if we are under the sway of something supernatural, and not a good something.
The old movie Poltergeist comes to mind. Remember? Every evil entity in the pop culture universe came spewing out of a TV all at once to disorder a perfectly banal and serene suburban neighborhood, representing all of us, of course. These days, when I drive to the supermarket to behold the astounding price of tomatoes, I half-expect to see a giant projection of Joy Reid, piggyback on a hoofed-and-horned Klaus Schwab, ride across the sickening red twilight sky, her shrieks making the leafless trees cringe and the asphalt crack. The shadow-side of everything in American history and posterity is loose upon the land, and our country has finally come to look exactly like Dylan’s Desolation Row: They’re selling postcards of the hanging, and painting the passports brown, all right. The beauty parlor’s filled with sailors, the circus is in town.
The defining moment of the week was the White House ceremony with Dr. Jill Biden and her side-piece, Tony Blinken, presenting an International Women of Courage award to Ms. Alba Rueda of Argentina, a biological man. But, of course! Kisses all around. Mattias Desmet, author of The Psychology of Totalitarianism, pointed out some time ago that a psychotic political regime would require the people to swallow ever-greater absurdities as things played out in its death-wish drive toward national nullity.
But was that little scene more absurd than the regime’s campaign in Ukraine to do… uh, to do what, exactly? To punish Vladimir Putin, or something like that. Or is it nuclear war they’re really after? A war, they’re telling themselves, that we would surely win, as if being a continent-sized ashtray is winning. Meanwhile, our Intel Community has discovered that it was… well might have been… Ukraine, after all, who blew up the Nord Stream pipelines — with help from some outside parties (namely, America’s Intel Community).
But waitagoshdarnminnit! How does that get anybody off-the-hook for the costly caper? NATO supposedly backs Ukraine, right? And Germany is the European leader of NATO, right? So you’re telling me Ukraine blew up a systemically-important asset of a leading country that supports Ukraine? Something doesn’t add up in that-there rebus puzzle. I’ll spare you the mental labor. The US Spook Industrial Complex is just laying another trip on you. And the “you” includes poor bamboozled Germany, led by arguably the biggest sap ever elected by a supposedly advanced nation, Olaf Scholz, whose name will evermore ring through history as a synonym for “chump.”
Sooner or later, one or both of the following must happen: the German people will dump this chump and / or his replacement will find a way to bow out of Germany’s commitment to America’s foolish proxy war against Russia, leading post-haste to the disintegration of NATO, and leaving America’s army of vaccine-injured transsexuals to reconquer the Donbas and Crimea, led by Tony Blinken in an off-the-shoulder cocktail dress.
Anyway, by the time that hallucination comes to pass, all the other things that are happening at once will be so vividly in America’s face that the epic sleepwalk of the Walking Woke ends with a jolt like unto a cattle prod upside the brain-pan. For instance, the implosion of our financial markets along with a sudden, shocking expiration of the US dollar as a credible currency. The mighty “woosh” heard from sea to shining sea will be the sound of capital going up in a vapor. The event will halt all that jabber about debt ceilings, budgets, and billions for Ukraine. A nauseated silence spreads across the land. Then, what?
I heard a rumor this week (yes, it’s just a rumor) that the Federal Reserve is bailing out WalMart, the Krogers supermarket chain, and other national food distributors in a stealth overnight lending operation. Their business model is shot. Nobody has the scratch to buy stuff. The never-ending Blue Light Special has finally gone dark. Make of it what you will. Could be some kind of fake news. But if it’s not, we’re talking about not just giant businesses in deep trouble and possibly going down, but also about a big problem with food moving around the country. Do you suppose that might get people’s attention?
Two other big deals are ripening now: America is discovering just how played the country was by the Covid-19 stunt, including the “vaccine” fraud, now burgeoning into a nightmare of escalating injury and all-causes death. Just this week the nation learned how the previous chief of the CDC, one Robert Redfield, was left entirely in the dark by Dr. Tony Fauci and his minions in discussions of how the novel coronavirus came to be, and who, exactly, was responsible for this fiasco. Something went very wrong in American public health officialdom. Indictments, anyone?
The other shock will come when somebody at the FBI — if not Director Chris Wray himself — will finally be forced to disclose to a congressional committee that the January 6, 2021, riot at the US Capitol was fomented by a substantial band of US government agents working the crowd of hapless protesters to produce the perfect Trump-ending fiasco. That will be the end of “Joe Biden.” But then, what?

Yes Naomi, it’s the devil, we are in the End Times. Most folks will believe after they see. A few are seeing now. like Jim Kunstler, our esteemed correspondent.
Time to register for Dr. Jill’s community college summer course entitled ‘Ponerology 2.0’.
It is frightening indeed that our host would refer to Naomi Wolf whose article was just passed around our Outside-the-CFN-Circle via email earlier this week, striking a chord in my soul. I had devoured Rabbi Johnathan Cahn’s latest book, “Return of the Gods” as soon as it was published last year, starting and finishing the book in one sitting. It told a tale that I paralleled a theory that I had been pondering for years that the ancient gods of antiquity (Fallen & Cast Out angels IMHO) have returned from the shadows to fill the void created as our societies cast out the God of Abraham, and Jesus with Him.
Naomi’s article is outstanding as she details how impossible it would be for mere humans to advance the worldwide agenda of evil and oppression that has been forced upon us, with absolutely zero tangible resistance or counter action. All should check out her work, it is mind boggling. Well done Jim, good to be on the same page with you.
Thank you for the reading tips, Walter. I bought Cahn’s new book, but have yet to open it (my “to-read” pile is outpacing my top rate of reading speed by about 10:1). I’ve for a long to watched as the state of things more and more closely resemble the end times archetypical story as time passes.
When I was younger, more arrogant, and of-course indestructible, I used to mock and laugh at people who would try to convince me that the stories told in Revelation were prophecy. I’m not laughing any more.
I haven’t read much from the fantasy/fable type genre, but from what little I have read of it I can tell you that reading from the book of Revelation gives me chills that no work of fiction ever has.
The Bible does mention other, false gods, and for those of us who read and studied Greek & Roman “mythology”, for me both in English & in Latin, Zeus, Athena, Appollo, et al, messing with, mating with, and screwing with humanity takes on a totally different dimension if you consider the theories of Naomi & Johnathan.
The scary part is that if true, we mere humans cannot stand against these entities and so our only hope for protection/salvation must come from another, higher power. One that really cares for we poor human souls. Pray constantly.
Walter —
“The love of money is the root of all evil” and that’s all it takes for corruption to flourish. As you’ve pointed out before, if something can be sold, it will be sold. And that goes for all aspects of health (medicine, basic care, public health), protection of the young (porn on the internet with kids involved as participants as well as viewers), and the military turned into money laundering machine.
Baal, Moloch, Satan — I don’t know if these are real spirits or allegories for the capacity for corruption that sits in all our souls. Maybe it doesn’t matter b/c many of the people calling the shots don’t bother to pretend much anymore that their motives are selfish and above prosecution.
Absolutely SW, real or not is not as important as the fact that those who not only believe with all of their spirit in them, but who bow down, worship, and sacrifice to what they believe in are rising in power today. These demented humans have gone this route since the dawn of time and will continue to do so until they are found out and taken out, and not by us, but by opposing and benevolent entities. Love that first amendment.
In other words, White Nationalism is the greatest threat to the world!
Do Jonathan and Naomi ever talk about who is a the very center of this evil project?
The Church Father did. Almost to a man they said the Antichrist will be Jewish.
Christ talked a lot about this too. Google “Synagogue of Satan”.
Clown world…
Just look at the insanity of SF…

Another fine essay, Jim.
But you a a bit to charitable towards Olaf Scholz.
Olaf Scholz = Vidkun Quisling
He deserves to be tried and jailed, perhaps even hanged.
Olaf? Isn’t that the gnome/snowman from the Frozen films? My granddaughters are mesmerized!

We have reached a point in history when Mr. Kunstler’s style has the ring of reportage. Well-said, sir.
Indeed. Thanks, Jim! No one else could make me laugh out loud at the impending Apocalypse.
I wish I could laugh like some here, reverse snorting coffee out my nose. That must be fun.
Jarek,
Read the McDonald’s story below. It’ll brighten your day. We all need comedic relief from time to time.
Yep. Nothing “chumpish” about Scholz. He goes on a secret “no records kept” trip to Washington then comes back and reports that it was some crazy ukies in a yacht who destroyed the NS pipeline and the German economy. I served in the Cold War and remember how much the West Germans (as they then were) hated and despised their American protectors. Now they will willingly bend over to be shafted by them, and happily let Uncle Sam destroy their country.
Yeah, the ukies pulled that off in what is essentially Lake NATO. If an eel farts Naval Intelligence hears it.
Those Ukies! So plucky and brave!.
This would be a great Dumb and Dumber movie from the CIA big idea all the way through the yacht being dropped off in Poland with C-4 residue and forged passports.
Since there was a woman doctor on board, maybe they left used condoms too with their DNA!
To think this caper was the best they could come up with to counter Seymour Hersch. And he reportedly has more on the way.
Biden and Co. are moving through a slow, big bust and the whole world is watching.
Yep. They found the residue right where they knew they would, because they had placed it there moments before.
The residue from the underwater bomb. OK, sure, dudes.
More Lake Moscow I would venture.
I see Blinken more in a “sweet little spaghetti strap” than an “off the shoulder”. He’s so delicate, I’d like to do his make-up, we’ll start with two black eyes and a split lip.
I’m inclined to believe that WM is teetering. Up until 6 months ago, when they put something on “clearance” it was 75% off. Now, they knock a few pennies off. Get ready for empty shelves…again.
Blinken’s a little sweety, ain’t he? So sassy and pouty when he gets all worked up in his usual wartime huff. And his tight little booty is just to die for when he struts it up and down K Street at night in a pair of stiletto heels.
Didn’t know Kroger was in trouble, but it makes sense. They can’t keep help to save their life at the local outlet, the only local grocer of note within 30-40 miles or so.
On the contrary, he has the same “just left the crypt” pale as death look that Sullivan and Garland have.
It seems the Biden regimes hires two kinds of people,
1) Affirmative Action hires to include sexual deviants,
2) Ivy league underachievers from proper Northeast families, the sons recognized as a “little slow”. Ref: Blinken
Neither type is worth a shit.
Blinken is not from a “proper Northeast family” of any kind.
Wiki:
“Blinken was born on April 16, 1962, in Yonkers, New York, to Jewish parents, Judith (Frehm) and Donald M. Blinken, who later served as the U.S. ambassador to Hungary.[5][6][7] His maternal grandparents were Hungarian Jews.[8] Blinken’s uncle, Alan Blinken, served as the U.S. ambassador to Belgium.[9][10] His paternal grandfather, Maurice Henry Blinken, was an early backer of Israel who studied its economic viability,[11] and his great-grandfather was Meir Blinken, a Yiddish writer.[12]”
He is another Holocaust-trough feeder.
Of course that means he has to hate Russia (/sn).
.
If he’s from Yonkers NY, I would call that Northeast. With the ambassadors et al in the family tree, I would say that’s not a working class background. That’s an upper crust family (from my lowly perspective).
Granted, Blinken is not a WASP, but rather Jewish. If that means he can’t be from a “proper” family in your eyes, so be it.
Muller put his place. An enabler for the Tribe. Brava, Islander.
Never forget the Neo-Cons were Trotskyites who transformed into ardent, ultra-American, Republicans over night.
The Magic only works if you let it work.
Jarek, I’m not sure you noticed. But I was not praising Blinken, I was insulting him. I guess I just didn’t do it correctly, i.e. from the Nazi perspective.
Muller, if he’s not from a proper Northeast family, he’s certainly from the NE liberal elite, as we used to call them.
Alex Berenson had some interesting remarks recently about this article:
The Vanishing
The erasure of Jews from American life
https://www.tabletmag.com/sections/news/articles/the-vanishing
Alex contends that such Jews have done it to themselves:
“They can no longer control the progressive forces they have unleashed; and too many of them are afraid to stand up for merit and for the country that – except Israel – has been the truest home the Jews have ever had.”
https://twitter.com/AlexBerenson/status/1631380421542924290?s=20
Jarek thinks the NeoCons are Republicans. Seem to be Dems now. Or maybe they have just been something different all along.
Neo-cons are essentially in both parties. They’ll identify with the party they think will benefit them the most at a given time.
Twenty years ago with Dubya and Cheney in charge, the most infiltrated the GOP. They were in Obama’s foreign policy team, especially during his second term. Due to Trump they started measuring the drapes in the Democrat party. But plenty of Republicans are still neo-cons. Both of my senators are. Cruz and Cornyn.
Muller: I know what you were doing. Blaming Jewish misbehavior on Whites. Running cover for them. Using us as cover. It’s a constant.
Mule, you are undone.
The heroin cadaver look is making a comeback since the introduction of the new injectable diabetic drug, Ozempic. From what I’ve been told it kills the appetite and slows the bowel. It will make the pharmaceutical company a boat load of money before the side effects hit along with the lawsuits.
Blinken looks to me like he needs a big dose of antidepressants and maybe a date with the new truly unattractive Woman of Courage Ms. Rueda to cheer him up. Where did they find this person and why did they pick him/her instead of the Canadian elementary school teacher with gigantic breasts?
Islander:
According to the late Holocaust scholar, Martin Gilbert, the USSR admitted more Jewish refugees during the Third Reich era than any other country in the world, including the US.
Most of the Jews living in Poland at the outbreak of WWII who survived the war did so by fleeing to the Soviet sector of occupied Poland from which they were moved to the Ural Mountains and points east, beyond the area later occupied by German troops. Ironically, Jews living in Galicia and other areas of eastern Poland that were seized by the Soviet Union were allowed to stay. Almost all of them were murdered by the Germans after June 22, 1941. See “Three Minutes in Poland” by Glenn Kurz.
Beryl of Oil
Of the original founders of Facebook in a Harvard dorm, all but one (who was gay and not Jewish) were straight Jewish guys who all all married non-Jewish women. In a generation or two, most practicing American Jews will be of the Hasidic variety, with very limited secular educations, holding down low paying jobs if they are employed at all.
Anon:
So what?
And why are you addressing your little history lesson to me?
And, why here?
My earlier response to your comment of 3/10/23 @11:29 am was a response to your statement about Blinken being Jewish and being a Holocaust-trough feeder who has to hate Russia.
In spite of the hundreds of millions of dollars spent on American Holocaust museums, I think that many American Jews have very limited knowledge of why events got so far out of hand in Germany between WWI and WWII. 100 years after the collapse of the old German mark, the US seems to be repeating many of the mistakes of Weimar Germany. We can’t afford to be the policeman of the world, but we are certainly running up huge debts trying to defy the laws of economics.
On the contrary, he has the same “just left the crypt” pale as death look that Sullivan and Garland have.
That’s all the rage now, HtW!
Ain’t that the truth. No light in those black eyes of Blinken and Garland.
KROGERS “BAKERS” supermarket chain is doing very well where i live.
The only “local” grocer, is my yard, when the neighbors die of stupidity, their garden becomes my garden.
Horseradish, tomatoes, spuds, carrots, peppers, cabbages, beans, squash, peas, lotsa firewood, sunflowers, tobacco (gotta trade..) lettuces, spinaches, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, groundcherries, apples, cukes, beans, squashes.
Lotsa firewood to dry meat and heat the boilers, jerky!!
Lotsa recipes for bunnies, onions, garlic, sage, garlic, salt, dogs, cats, venison, parakeets..et al.
You plan to eat cats and dogs. And if worse comes to worse?
Berries,
Does lead and brass grow on bushes? Better have plenty of those staples as well.
Ah, so many in the administration need a makeup job!
Safeway is offering much smaller discounts on its Just for You web pages than it used to. I guess they want to boost their profit margins.
Whoever made this rumor is delusional:
“I heard a rumor this week (yes, it’s just a rumor) that the Federal Reserve is bailing out WalMart, Krogers supermarket chain, and other national food distributors in a stealth overnight lending operation.”
Wal-Mart could issue $10 billion of 10 year bonds at 4.5% today. Easily. Checking the bond yields of Wal-Mart, Kroger and Target confirms this. Each of those companies is tremendously profitable. Even Kroger had $450 million of net income last quarter alone.
“tremendously profitable”
Not when half the merchandise leaves the store unpaid for.
Walmart is closing it’s Portland ,OR stores.
news.yahoo.com/walmart-set-close-stores-portland-154823875.html
observex,
Thank you for looking up the bond quotes for WalMart, Kroger, and Target today.
Bond yields of course can change as new information becomes available and as market conditions change. 32 states, I believe, are closing down their COVID related food assistance programs this month. 18 had already done so over the last 12 months. So there will be some dislocation relating to poor people buying food over the next few months. I’ve read that the food banks are already feeling the new wave of demand.
And interest rates are going to continue to rise, in spite of what the financial talking heads keep supposing will happen. Bond prices go lower when interest rates rise, making them less attractive vehicles for raising capital.
Since last Monday, two west coast banks, Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) and Silvergate Capital Corporation (SI) have suffered huge losses in their stock price. On the order of 50-60% losses. I’ve read that both have had to sell existing bonds at a loss to raise capital because depositors and clients are making withdrawals. It’s been an interesting week.
I am eager to hear from neurodoc this morning. He may tell me its time to at least go buy a crow from Walmart (if they are in stock, lol) and start preparing my dinner.
I’m pretty sure that half or more of Walmart’s grocery business is transacted in food stamps, and probably half or more of its pharmaceutical business is transacted via Medicare or Medicaid. Plus there is a new program called United Health Care that allows its (mostly retired) clients to pay for food, prescriptions, and OTC pharmaceuticals and medical devices with the card. I have no idea what is the average amount of free money gifted by United Health Care, but my contacts get about $200/month, and sometimes each person in the household gets that much. Further, there are only a few stores where United Health Care cards can be used to buy food. In my area, the only ones are Walmart and Dollar General. So: Walmart is government-subsidized BIGLY.
It’s hard for me to see how Walmart could be in financial trouble.
Perhaps that is why Olaf’s yacht, recently spotted on the Rhine, is aptly named ‘Coelenterata’.
Seriously?
Ceolenterata?
How appropriate.
A man with no backbone names his yacht after a phylum of animals with no backbones!
LOL!
They’re an Empire now, and they create their own reality.
If they tell you that WalMart is going bankrupt and that is why they are closing their stores, then that is the reality you will believe.
And if shutting off access to food is the real agenda, you will not hear that mentioned on any mainscream media outlet.
An empire?.. Agreed!
Kinda reminds me about the Walmart closures associated with Operation Jade Helm back in 2015.
A beta test perhaps?

Indeed.
The context is the 4th Turning. A passage of Destruction to Rebirth. So lets see if the domestic events of the next month all jibe with D.
(I do not foresee re-Birth events take place before early 2025.)
@ mrs_saj:
The SVB situation is all over the news this morning. I don’t pretend to know what to make of it, but, once again, I would suggest keeping some cash on hand at home, if possible.
I’ve been telling the kids that for the past few months–to no avail, I suspect. I’m also planning to grow a lot of tomatoes.
Hi Anthea,
Yes, the two banks are getting news coverage (yesterday, too). The talking heads at CNBC this morning all took their happy pills. so there is no reason to panic. The word ‘idiosyncratic’ is getting a workout today. In other words, these two banks are unique and not an indication of system risk in the banking industry.
I am making so predictions about this. These are two unique regional (ie smaller) banks that are subject to less stringent regulations that the JP Morgans of the world. They are having to raise cash. Their stock prices are in the toilet after the last 48 hours. And they do hold a larger than normal amount of other entities’ bonds on their books. They are having to sell these bonds at a loss because, like JG Wentworth said, “when you need cash now.”
But the US has also undergone the most pronounced interest rate increases within 12 months that it has in decades. The system is going to show cracks. That’s the whole point, I think. Powell wants to break inflation and then stick a soft landing. But cracks in the economy are going to show up somewhere.
Normally finance is very boring. Right now, not so much. So I keep watching. I do keep more cash on hand. I have reduced my exposure to the stock market. I have also taken steps to divest myself of the US$, but not enough yet. The question always is, “into what”? What currency will weaken slower than the dollar? Buying gold is one thing. Have a brokerage account full of rubles is something else.
@ rs_saj:
Yup. Looks to me to shaping up like 2008.
Raising will tank the stock market and the real-estate market, and cause a lot of business bankruptcies and hence a lot of unemployment. It follows from the above that a lot of banks will go belly-up, as they are exposed to all of the above. That probably includes your little community bank. Prospects for your retirement are maybe not so good.
Back in 2008, I heard stories of one of the local banks “calling in” their real estate loans. Weirdly, as I understand it, your mortgage loan may have a clause in it that allows your lender to “call in” your loan at any time–meaning it can demand payment in full of the outstanding balance. I don’t know if this is universal or not–and obviously such an option would only be excercized against a person who could actually pay. Waste of time, otherwise. I also heard tales of the “horsey” crowd selling off their horses and farms (or losing them to foreclosure)–and of guys who bought real estate investment properties right before the crash (at the inducement of their banker “buddies”), making them the bagholder.
The local school district got a bond issue passed to build a new upper elementary school right at that same time. I think this was a back-door bank bailout. In other words, it was a way to give lucrative construction contracts to the construction companies who owed the banks millions, but could not pay. The hope was that the bond issue and resulting contracts wold bail out the bankrupt construction companies, and thus bail out the banks.
Anyway, SVB and SI’s troubles look at lot like Bear Stearns’ and Lehmans’ troubles from days of yore.
As for protecting yourself from the fallout. I’ve talked with many friends and relatives about that, and the plain truth is, you can’t.
About all you can do is try to cushion yourself from some of the repercussions on a short-term basis. You could sail unscathed through a period of turmoil. Or not.
Anthea,
I love your story about the banks pushing through a project that benefits their own clients. It’s typical I guess.
I am unfamiliar with banks being able to call the loan at any time for any reason. They can absolutely call the mortgage if you are behind on your payments, past a certain threshold outlined in the mortgage docs. This begins the foreclosure process. Also, if you abandon the house, even if you are up to date on your payments, they can call the loan. Banks periodically check on the house by doing a drive-by, as the house is the asset that secures the loan.
I do think there are things one can do to improve their situation in chaotic times. But it involves foresight, planning, and a bit of luck. I think in general, folks in rural communities will do much better than urbanites. Gardeners who can their produce drastically improve their situation. So keep up with your tomatoes and everything else! People in rural locations who have their own livestock, beehives, fish ponds, etc, fare even better, but they need to be able to defend themselves. I read in a book about Weimar Germany recently, that people who had mortgages and cash paid off their mortgages deep into the inflationary cycle using (obviously) much less valuable German marks. The primary issue for people in the cities during the Weimar era was how to feed themselves. The primary issue for all Germans during that time was how to diversify their savings out of the German mark. The stock market was a seductive trap. Even if your shares were up 90x in four years, it did not matter. The money supply had gone up 300x in the same period and your investment (in real terms) was underwater, regardless of the fact your quarterly statement showed a “profit”. People who strolled into Germany with American dollars, Swiss francs, etc. lived like kings.
I’m still executing my plans and hoping for a bit of luck. 🙂
Ladies: some folks probably are tired of me repeating this but,
Gold is a sapling, silver is an acorn, cryptos are clouds.
Everybody knows what a pre64 90% silver coins look [ and feel ] like [ personal assay ].
If nothing else buy a bunch of Forever Stamps. They will trade up.
“Buying gold is one thing. Have a brokerage account full of rubles is something else.”
Have the best of both worlds. The Russian Ruble is 100% gold-backed, and as of Friday, pegged at 75.91 to the USD.
Back in the day when students thought that wearing bell bottoms and growing a few plants in the middle of a berry patch was The Revolution I had a friend who had a Claymore mine under his porch. When I stopped by to smoke a jay I was always careful to come in through the back door.
In this same era my small town of 50,000 got caught up in the Ronald Regan depression and its 18% interest rates. Nearly 50% of the houses were under foreclosure. People would go into their banker’s office, slam the house keys down on his desk, load the wife and kids in the car and drive to the Texas oil patch in hopes of finding a job.
My Claymore friend was untouched by it all. I wonder why? As a matter of fact he bought a ten acre plot on the top of the highest hill in the city. For cash. Actually for silver, judging by the number of bars he showed me.
Of course it can never happen again.
He was probably running drugs for guns to the Contras, would be my guess.
Well Anthea, if you’re going to hide cash between the mattresses, don’t do it in the spare room, because the kids are coming back…
We seem to living in a time of inverted reality: things that were certain are now uncertain, imaginary things are now real and immoral behaviour is now the height of virtue.
Example: the dichotomy between male and female sex goes back to the Proterozoic, 2.5 billion years ago. Yet modern progressives claim that is but an illusion and that thousands of generations of creatures that led to Homo sapiens were constructing “gender” out of cultural preferences. Madness!
Reality will impose its heavy hand soon enough. We are still subject to natural selection and the future belongs to those who show up.
Pray for America
Peak abstraction is riding high for the moment. As you said though, the law of gravity will assert itself once again soon enough, and the flighty adolescents of today will once again realize that they flew too close to the sun on wings of ultra thin cut deli salami.
And humans have canine teeth to eat bugs with.
Beryl – Not so sure. Much to my dentist’s dismay, he’s always reminded that teeth at some point – I say today – will be vestigial organs.
If you think about it – at the point of evolution where we gained opposable thumbs, and the intelligence to use tools – teeth were no longer necessary.
My wife claims that without teeth I couldn’t eat. Really? Give me a mortar & pestle then sit back & watch. Plenty of other ways to prepare foods to eat.
Get your point that evolutionarily, we are designed to eat meat, but canines are no longer necessary. Thumbs & brains are all that’s required.
And food processors? Heaven – until the power runs out – which it will. Thenfood processing will have come full-circle, back to the way it started – by hand.
Here’s additional proof – how many fat toothless rednecks have you seen? Lots. I rest my case.
“How many fat toothless rednecks have you seen?”
That’s Mountain Dew mouth.
That, plus meth. Meth is hard on teeth.
Meth’ll sure help you to shed those pounds tho 🙂
I was born without canines, an evolutionary trendsetter I guess.
Beryl, last night on our news they had a couple that had a cricket farm. They made cricket flour. It was quite an operation. (Speaking of bugs)
I think the question is how to remain sane when everyone around you is crazy. It is easier said than done!
Modern progressives can claim anything they like. That doesn’t make it true. The illusions and fake constructs, and cultural preferences can be found in things like new terminology; e.g. chest feeding person, bogus slogans; e.g. safe and effective, and new customs; e.g. women weight lifters can be men.
Keep the faith, RaymondR. And keep praying .
Surprisingly, my woke son-in-law went on a rant yesterday on how insane everything has become, I told him to ignore all the hype and bullshit. Keep your powder dry, you’re going to need it.
@mrs_saj, I always maintain that their manipulation of the language lets us know where they intend to go long before they get there. It’s their most effective means of manipulation and in virtually every instance we soon begin using the terminology they provide, and operating obediently within the frames of language they create for us. I expect that the term “Minor Attracted Person” will soon win out over pedophile, as I see little resistance and plenty increasing use of MAP. They’ve framed all of their pet projects as “human rights” issues, which allows them to demonize us as being opposed to human rights.
These are their methods at a higher level of intellect. On the lowest level, they believe that if they type the same sentence on Twitter as many times as possible – I frequently see “Trans women are women” ten times – it constitutes a viable argument and they’ve won the debate. Worse, they may be right in that repetition has this effect on the weak minded.
“I expect that the term “Minor Attracted Person” will soon win out over pedophile, as I see little resistance and plenty increasing use of MAP.”
I’m still using pederast because pedophile [ child love ] doesn’t seem accurate.
It’s my understanding that pedophiles are those who “do” kids pre-puberty, and pederasts are into teens post puberty.
MAP includes pre-pubescent children.
Rowdy,
So well put. Words lead to thought, thought to expression, expression to action. Our language certainly does direct our future.
New words change our path. And so does taking away words that are now deemed unacceptable. So much of today reminds me of 1984.
“Worse, they may be right in that repetition has this effect on the weak minded.” ~ Rowdy
Exactly Rowdy – our public fool system teaches (has long taught) our children to listen, not to think. There you have it,
Nice post – very good points & well-stated.
Piget
I always try to find an upside to everything that seems like a problem.. For instance the problem of WOKE and all those who identify as such (7% in the US). The second problem is trying to continue to fight the war in Ukraine when all the women have left and all the biological males have been sent to the front lines by Zelenskyy for the Russians to use for target practice.
Simply use the list of all those who identify as MAP as the basis for an immediate conscription. Add anyone who has a neck or face tattoo, without exception. No need for training, just load them in box cars and ship them to Zelenskyy to do as he wishes like he has done with the children of his satanic nation.
Western Pedophile “Leaders” claim to not know the difference between men and women. Vladimir Putin doesn’t have that problem. If there are any survivors from WWIII I’m sure he will be able to sort out which are men, which are women, and those who are fit only to spend their remaining lives working underground in a Siberian coal mine.
The women went to court, a judge somehow told them they can’t keep men off a women’s team, and ‘conservatives’ gleefully bash the women.
I find myself disgusted by the number of grown men taking delight in the predicament of schoolgirls who don’t want men in their locker rooms.
Grown men are supposed to man up and protect girls, even if the girls are perceived as having the wrong political views.
No wonder we got where we are.
BTW I was reading a story about a woman who was finally diagnosed with endometriosis after years of having her pain dismissed by the medical profession, and one of the commenters made a remark about owners of uteruses facing this problem.
Grown men? There are no “grown men” in feminist countries. The point of much of the feminism was to not only make women into men but to brainwash and indoctrinate men into playing women’s roles. It’s been a great success because the fossil fuel lifestyle enables males to spend their entire lives – starting from kindergarten – indoors in comfy climate controlled conditions hanging out with a bunch of confused females who lord it over them. Remove energy from the equation and you have a “world made by hand”. Unfortunately it will take huge inputs of masculine muscle power to make that new world. If there are no “grown men” around anymore to build this new arrangement – guess what?
You die. It’s as simple as that.
BS, Chuck. Men are responsible for their own behavior. If women could make men into what we choose, men wouldn’t be like they are.
A younger friend of mine was talking about the concept that feminism ruins women, and porn ruins men, and he said something interesting- it isn’t porn, it’s working in offices that ruins men.
BTW, I just happened by chance to learn that so many younger men are so into porn that it renders them unappealing to women who are seriously looking for a husband and children.
When I say younger I’m talking about under 50ish.
In trying to learn more on this topic, I found out that I am way behind.
There are men talking about this issue, and guess what? Real men don’t blame the girls for the shortcomings of the men.
I really didn’t know this was such a big deal.
“Porn has marched through young men’s minds like Sherman to the sea, and with almost the same result.
A generation, or more, lost.”
https://twitter.com/FoundationDads/status/1633906579270451200?s=20
It’s good to see that so many men are on this.
Poor widdle Woodchuck.
The women! The women did it!
LOL.
Social media is the equivalent of porn for young women in terms of ruination.
And of course more of them are into porn than used to be.
@Beryl, Porn is a known pathway to trans, both of which are industries that generate enormous amounts of money. It’s a means by which adolescents are led deeper and deeper, a step at a time, into every imaginable perversion.
It’s also the process by which (some) adult men who consume porn eventually end up as trans “women”. After normal sex doesn’t provide the thrill anymore, they go to the next step, then the next, breaking every taboo and being led to the next one. You might check out this heartrending article from a parent, about her adolescent child’s experiences – which have created an addiction that may never be undone.
hxxps://pitt.substack.com/p/transgenders-connection-with-pornography
I did not know that, rowdy. This is what I mean, it’s a big big thing, that many people were already on to, but I only just found out about the issue by accident.
Uh, note to all that are pissed about what I wrote. From my perspective, feminism was created by men, not women. The men that did this to us have their roots in the Jacobins, the source that also inspired Communism. Women simply can’t figure out that they’ve been used as weapons in a crusade to turn everything in the established order upside down. That was the goal of the French Revolution, to destroy the Christian Church along with the aristocracy. It was males that started all this crap, not women. The women just got fooled by it, that’s all.
Thanks for the mansplaining, Chuck.
Here I thought I was thinking for myself.
Seems to me, men have been benefiting from the 1960’s styled feminism for decades.
Free sex, without “buying the cow.”
Now you want to put the onus on women for being fooled.
That’s assholey.
Watch the viral video, “White Men are Useless” if you want some insight into schadenfreude.
Women are still voting en masse for the policies that will destroy both us and them.
Although not above such feelings, I don’t allow my mind to be corrupted by them. Women should have their own sports, if they must have sports or we must have sports at all. Soon we won’t and then it will all be moot.
I really don’t think as many girls and women are genuinely interested in this realm, but obviously some are. Other women and society in general are selling them out.
And say what you want about some women voting for the woke nonsense, the schoolgirls whose sports are being ruined by biological males didn’t have anything to do with it–they didn’t vote.
Why Jarek how sensitive of you.
The ones most responsible for the dilemma the women in sports are facing is the perverted sorry excuses for men who insist on joining the girls’ teams.
The answer (IMHO) to men playing on women’s sports is the German Model. Your kids want to play basketball? You pay for it and not through taxes.
Private, then you can decide who plays and who doesn’t, rent the gym, rent the field. Buy your own equipment and volunteer your time to officiate.
Grown men are supposed to protect girls. I protect my wife and daughter fiercely. However, the problem as I see it is two fold:
1. Men have become emasculated by the feminist movements of the past 3 decades. TV shows have portrayed men as bumbling booze hounding idiots (see the Simpsons and King of Queens, etc) while women are the responsible and reliable types. Schools have promoted the advancement of girls over boys telling boys if they don’t act like girls they need to be doped up on psychotropic drugs so they don’t act like boys anymore. A man today enjoys mani-pedis, make up, designer skinny jeans and a strange little pimp stache instead of a beard. Young men, desperate to be men, load themselves up with gross tattoos to make themselves look tough, but, deep down have no clue how to be real man. How dare a man have a gut, wear ugly blue jeans and a tank top, replace a transmission, dig a ditch, grow a long beard, knock his wayward children around a little and tell his nagging bitch of a wife to shut the hell up! Men don’t know how to be men anymore.
2. Women don’t know who or what the hell they are or what they want. Women have gone batshit crazy. They want to be married and have a man protect them but they want to have the career and make boatloads of money. What man is going to want a woman like that? Teenage girls today, if not obese, walk around in too tight yoga pants with their muffin top and tramp stamp tattoos flopping about. Their faces are adorned with piercings in their noses, lips, eye brows and their hair colored an unnatural blue, green or purple. They open their mouths and out comes filthy language one would expect from gangstas dwelling in the harshest hoods and slums of cesspools like Los Angeles. Even worse, women today think it is a right to butcher their own offspring. I don’t think even females of the animal persuasion engage in this kind of barbarity, males might (see lions and bears) but usually the mother will fight to the death to protect her offspring. Why would any young man worth his salt want to take up proverbial arms and protect women like this?
I have two teenage sons 19 and 17 and I tell them, stay the hell away from women, “Ellas SON locas!” No Estan Locas. SON locas.
Just my opinion. Both sexes have been turned inside out. None of them know who the hell or what the hell they are.
CP
You make my point for me.
Beryl, I hope you know that I agreed with the points you were making. I didn’t disagree.
CP
Disagree bigly on the beard thing.
All the young dudes in the pacific northwest seem to be sporting ZZ Top styled beards and have been for some time.
It’s just decades of good ol’ programming and conditioning, brought to you by the See Eye Ayyyyy.
And, Mary, the porn thing is part of that conditioning. The more I read the more I see that.
Ralph Cramden often threatened to punch Alice so hard she’d go “to the moon”. But he never did. I guess men have felt conflicted for a long time.
Mary, I think ZZTop beards are hideous and probably fire hazards. How could any woman be attracted to someone sporting such a beard?
There’s something to be said about how many boys grow up without a male presence. They’re being shaped primarily by women and we can see the results in their womanly qualities which, while natural in women, are unnatural and undesirable in men.
GIrls, on the other hand, are being indoctrinated to be aggressive, demanding, and resentful. I don’t think these qualities really come naturally to the majority of women, and are more of a burden than a liberation.
Many men would like to be more manly, but no longer know how because it hasn’t been modeled for them. Many women would like to be more womanly, but those qualities and inclinations aren’t encouraged. We’ve told effeminate men to come out of the closet and be proud, and we’ve told mannish women to do the same. Fine, if that’s what they really are. But it seems we emptied out the closet so that we could shove someone else into it. At present, that would be everyone who has a traditional concept of the role of men and women. How can that be a good thing?
Rowdy, love your posts, spot on and couldn’t agree more.
MaryQueen, I can’t speak for the northwest. I reside in the Rocky Mountains. Most of what I see here are little pimp staches that look like smears of dirt on their chins or upper lips. Or the 5 O’Clock shadow look. Few manly beards here on the younger men.
Older men can still be spotted with some manly beards, you know, the kind that have bugs, old food and bubble gum stuck in them (speaking about my own beard, gross).
@ Cankerpuss My position on feminism formed many years ago.due to having fems as relatives and teachers. I had a grandmother who was an activist in both feminism and alcohol prohibition around a century ago. I despised these women as a child due to their sour, bossy, and butch behavior with “know it all” attitudes. They were certain their college degrees made them superior to everyone else who didn’t have one. They were absolutely no fun to be around and were obsessed with school issues, doing homework etc., and hanging around indoors. They wanted the males in the family to not spend any time at all learning blue collar skills. Their male ancestors had worked with their hands in machine shops, been farmers, builders etc. bit these progressive women discouraged young males from going in that direction. In their feminist world, the ideal man was a whining pussy who had a graduate degree or was some goddamn preacher or something – somebody that talked shit for a living instead of building things with his hands. I say to hell with ’em.
Cankerpuss and piglet have nailed it down and done a better job writing about this issue than I have……..
@ H
Two comments:
1) If Ralph Cramden said that today, he would be srrested for being a vioent extremist at worst and be arrested for hate speech at best. Can’t say those things anymore.
2) There are a lot of women who like beards – as representative of real men – think Vikings. They have gone so far as to wear shirts emblazoned with the saying, “No Beard, No Booty”. Not skanks – I’m talking smokin’ hot women.
Forgive me Q – it’s late, I meant *arrested* & *violent”. I did proofraed before hitting submit – but again, it’s late. Thanks for the rhythm.
*proofread* – I have to stop logging on after the bars close.
From Monty Python:
“There are a great many people in this country who, through no fault of their own, are sane.”
Inversion is one of the satanists’ favorite tools.
Well it is pretty much what Satanism is.
I’ve had fun with a simple one-liner: “There are no mammalian Hermaphrodites”.
Not true, Bile. True hermaphroditism is rare, but it exists in mammals, including humans.
Pray but hammer away.
All I ask is, “a smoking, charred, lifeless hole” where my country used to be.
The quote was lifted directly from National Lampoon c. 1972.
I got my favorite phrase “our ruling overlords” from the Onion, 2008.
A friend and I exchange messages regularly on funny stuff we read or hear. His most recent:
“just because it isn’t smoking doesn’t mean you can pick it up”.
lol, that’s a lesson we all learn, one way or another.
My entire life I have underestimated the ignorance of the populace around me. Not anymore. It is suffocating. Joy Reid should win a black entertainment award for dumbest bitch ever, (along with Doctor Jill). Olaf worse than Biden? I think not. That is like saying there is something colder than absolute zero. Walmart lots are pretty full here though they were a little thin on cheese doodles(Kunstler got there first?) Wally world will only collapse when the shoplifting reaches epic proportions. Think Portland. As an aside. Would it not be informative to list the race of criminals in news reports? Asking for a friend.
I’m curious now as to how many Kunstler readers bought cheese doodles impulsively for the first time because they’d seen JHK use “doodles” so many times in his writings. Well, I bought some a couple years ago. I usually always pass by the chips section in the stores, but when I saw a stack of cheese doodle, I just HAD to purchase a bag of them. They’re not too bad actually.
I think they’re just puffed corn with artificial color and flavor added. Might be a hair bit of cheese thrown in too for “authenticity.” I remember as a kid that I too was fond of the damn things. Thankfully I outgrew that.
I liked the way you could melt them on your tongue.
One of the few junk foods I occasionally buy are Trader Joe’s version of cheese doodles – lol. They are like crack.
I believe Trader Joe’s have more real stuff in them.
Yes probably not as nefarious.
They also have potato chips that actually have just 2 ingredients:
Potatoes and olive oil.
That’s it.
Over here they have “Pom-Bär.”
Potato-based snacks that have a fake ketchup flavor added to them.
My diet is pretty healthy, but I cannot resist the siren song of the Pom-Bär.
Yeah, I got my sirens.
How dare Trader Joes also have dark chocolate mini peanut butter cups?
It ain’t Nestle or Hershey crap. Real dark chocolate and real peanut butter.
Resistance is futile.
The Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup is not what it used to be. How dare they alter that perfection?
They did the same thing with Zero Bars.
There are some kind of deep fried pork rind chips for the truly brave.
Deep fried anything is bad.
Ha, I was jonesing for cheese puffs and bought a bag for the first time in twenty years. Ate half a serving and threw out the rest. Awful. Sad, they used to be so much better!
Michelle Obama has been involved in getting manufacturers to alter their products, but I think mostly it’s just greed that makes them cheapen what they make.
Cheese doodles get a bad rap on this site, always have.
As a kid I’d eat scooter pies, cheese doodles, crackerjacks, tootsie rolls, Fritos corn chips, atomic fireballs, Neckos, fluffernutter sandwiches, koolaid, & Hershey candy bars. That’s where a good portion of my paper route money went. None the worse for it; made all the HS varsity teams I went out for and in Basic Training got the Battalion Athletic Pin for the best score on two field days out of 800 guys. I think diet is vastly overrated, as I’m still here to tell the tale.
Humans can live on almost any diet, as long as they get enough calories
But you always have people insisting that their favorite food substance is the best.
Personally, I like eating healthy, but I know that people can survive on pure junk food, or picking the corn out of the horse manure on the street, as our ancestors did.
Paula I am always amazed when I look at my family’s diet in the 50’s and 60’s. Toast, oatmeal or grits for breakfast, a sandwich consisting of two slices of bread for lunch, and dinner with potatoes, or rice plus a side serving of bread and butter. Geez when I think of the carbs it makes me cringe.
But…most everyone was on the thin side. Why do you think that is? My guess would be that refined carbs such as cookies, cake, etc. were not consumed as much as they are now. We were lucky as kids to drink one coke per week and my brown bag lunch consisted of one cookie.
Also I think people are being led astray by the notion of “healthy” foods. Ever look at the sugar content of vanilla yogurt or these fancy macchiato type drinks at Starbucks? A caramel macchiato will set you back a lot of calories. Damn, I had to lookup the spelling of macchiatio. Gettin’ old!
@ farmgal:
One thing I learned from reading the book, “Wheat Belly,” is that the type of wheat now almost universally grown in the US is the short-stemmed variety. It has a higher glycemic index than sugar. This type of wheat began to be almost universally grown in the US around 1950, because it is much more productive than the older types of wheat.
Prior to the 1950s, we grew long-stemmed wheat, which has a lower glycemic index.
The bread, pasta, and other wheat products are not the same as they used to be.
There are many different kinds of wheat. Some varieties, such as einkorn wheat and emmer wheat, date back to the Stone Age.
Modern corn is also quite a bit different from the old, open-pollenated varieties, and has been even before most corn became GMO.
You can still buy the seeds for the old varieties of both wheat and corn. You can also buy einkorn wheat flour. I recently bought some kamut flour to try out.
Here’s link to one seller of seeds of old wheat varieties: httX://www.growseed.org/seed.html#:~:text=Any%20three%20packets%20of%20100%20seeds%20for%20%2425,Scroll%2C%20stored%202%2C000%20years%20ago%20by%20King%20Herod.
Here’s a link to a seller of seeds for old corn varieties: httXX://www.rareseeds.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=corn
J.L. Hudson sells Hopi Blue Corn seeds, along with some old-time sweet corn varieties.
Of course, the use of herbicides and pesticides has also increased since around 1950, and the methods for harvesting and storing wheat are really shocking.
Any fan of a paleo diet can tell you that carbs are not good for you, and that humans became far less healthy and robust after the advent of agriculture, as opposed to hunter-gatherer lifestyles. But carbs are worse now than they were back in, say, Biblical times–or even since about 1950.
@Anthea – Totally do not doubt what you are saying about the wheat. I’ve tried spelt and kamut but husband is diabetic so we don’t eat a lot of carbs. Sad what modern farming practices have brought about.
An interesting aside, have you ever read Omnivore’s Dilemma by Michael Pollan? It’s a great read about our modern agricultural system although it’s mostly directed at corn.
I think it’s portion size, farmgal. Everything got super-sized in the 80s, and then humans became super-sized.
Cause>effect.
Like I said, humans need enough calories. What we are seeing now is humans eating too many calories.
Yum, Fireballs. Haven’t had one in like forever. Come to think of it, I haven’t even seen them.
Same. I spent my weekly allowance on all that kinda crap, and comic books.
And I’ve never been sick or obese.
Walmart looks to me like they have no interest in running an actual store anymore.
@Beryl, a solitary Walmart serving a substantial rural area is a critical part of the infrastructure and would be impossible to replace. Where I live, people come from as far as 40-50 miles away maybe once a month or every six weeks. We accumulate a list of things we can’t get in the small, local stores, and make a trip there when the list gets sufficiently long.
Rural Walmarts are immune to the thievery that’s going on in the cities and suburbs, but if they went out of business there would be nothing to replace them. It won’t matter much to people in Seattle if theirs closes, but it would hurt rural people quite a bit – particularly since they effectively drove little local hardware stores and the like out of business, with no likelihood they can ever return.
I always heard that rural Walmarts were much nicer than the ones in urban areas.
I think what they had in mind is competing with Amazon, and perhaps having you phone ahead for what you want and show up at the store to pick it up in person.
They were pushing the “free in-store pickup” thing for a while around here, which I think would have eventually led to cashless purchases only.
Drugstores have been doing something similar. I wonder if allowing the looting is a way to get people to give up on the idea of being able to go into a store, look at the merchandise, choose what you want right then, and pay with cash?
I know CVS has been discouraging paper receipts by making them ridiculously long.
We are being conditioned and herded.
If you fold a long receipt correctly, you can make it into a weapon. You have to learn to use the thing around you, Beryl.
@ Rowdypiglet:
It’s the same in the rural area where I live. Everyone shops mostly at Walmart, and the rural stores are nice. There is very little thievery, and your fellow customers are courteous and considerate. Anyone inadvertently blocking you in the aisles will always apologize profusely–and, after taking a deep breath, is likely to share a recipe.
You very rarely see any black people at our rural Walmarts. They went through a phase, a few monts ago, where they hired a bunch of blacks, but they seem to be gone now. For awhile there, they played recordings over the PA system of black people shucking and jiving, so you thought there must be some loud, obnoxious blacks in the next aisle. But they seem to have stopped playing these recordings. I don’t know what the idea of that was.
You seldom even see any Mexicans at rural Walmarts. They are pleasant places to shop, except that their meats and produce suck.
Rock,
Well, some people did some things…don’t be so damned judgmental….
redrock,
Walmart is closing their last two stores in Portland as I type this. I can’t remember the actual last day of operation, but someone commented (it wasn’t on kunstler.com) that the company was moronic for even announcing the store closures at all.
Hyena Harris has to be the absolute dumbest female I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. Joy Reid is certainly the most obnoxious female, and even more unbearable than Hyena Harris, unless Harris is cackling as usual. The entire China Joe administration is disgusting in their incompetence and corruption, and the most venal with their constant lies about literally everything.
There was a bank run out in California yesterday. SVB. Contagion and all that. The captive financial press hasn’t had much to say. Also heard that Stellantis (the lost auto maker) permanently shuttered a Jeep Cherokee plant in Rockford Ill that was only temporarily shuttered until this week. Crickets on that one, too. Won’t be long now.
Stellantis is Fiat. Who thinks they know how to build cars?
Yes, I think it is now. The collapse, that is.
By the end of 2025 we’ll see that the infamous forecast by The Deagle Report website was true.
(Major die-off, for those who never saw it).
But 75%? It won’t be that much, at least not by 2025 unless they hit us again and harder.
I don’t necessarily agree that it will be 75%. I’m thinking more like in the neighborhood of 50%.
But, even if it’s “just” 25%……that’s devastating.
Jarek. . .
Shedding of the vaxxed upon the unvaxxed.
Deagel’s 2025 US population projection is aleady ‘baked into the cake’.
… also already wiping out the dog-breeding industry and rescue shelters.
Veterinarians — having absolutely no means to help whatsoever, are now making more money than brain surgeons, with endless lab tests, etc.
Good point ViceGrip. I forgot about the shedding phenomenon. I do think Deagle will be much closer to being right than wrong.
-68% is quite a bit much. But a fun read. Doom, Gloom, Doom. I believe we live on a fixed planet and eventually (long time) we will be down to whatever the planet can support without oil and other minerals. IOW ‘Made by Hand.’
I have a wood shop and I build furniture. I have a complete set of hand tools JIC an for posterity. So I thought I would build a small night table with only hand tools like I have built several times with power tools. It took me about twice as long to two and a half times as long to build it. I’m old and not really proficient with my hand tools but I’m sure my great grandson will be proficient and build furniture like my great grandfather did.
My wife is still laughing after reading this:
“I know I shouldn’t have done this, but I am 83 years old and I was in the McDonald’s drive-through this morning and the young lady behind me leaned on her horn and started mouthing something because I was taking too long to place my order.
So when I got to the first window. I paid for her order along with my own. The cashier must have told her what I’d done because as we moved up she leaned out her window and waved to me and mouthed “Thank you.”, obviously embarrassed that I had repaid her rudeness with kindness.
When I got to the second window I showed them both receipts and took her food too. Now she has to go back to the end of the queue and start all over again, don’t blow your horn at old people, they have been around a long time.”
Ooh, delicious! (And I’m not talking about Mickey D’s food)
It’s a McDonald’s after all. If you roll around with pigs, you’re going to get dirty.
Yeah but try being sassy like that with blacks, and see where it leads.
I believe in many circumstances and locations Scott Adams has the right idea. Stay away, move if necessary.
@messianicdruid—Oh fkkkk! What a classic!
Oldie but goodie.
Today’s laugh out loud moment! Thank you!
This may be the Boomers’ last great mission in the later years of our lives: Partially atone for our generation’s sins by providing character-building experiences to younger generations.
May I suggest the combination of a paintball gun and a can of bear spray for future encounters?
One born in 1940 is of the “greatest” generation I believe ?
No, the greatest generation is supposed to be the ones who were mostly of age to fight in WW2. 1940 born are between the “greatest gen” and the Boomers. They usually start the Boomer gen in 1946.
I was born in ’33 and just 10 years too young to be in the greatest generation. After the war, they put a man on the moon because, if they could build a B-24 bomber every 45 minutes, they could do damned near anything. There were no girly-men out in the open.
Yep!
Happy 90th, Lyndy33!!
That is quite an accomplishment.
That’s the Silent Generation, Rain.
Hahahaha! I love it.
To quote that old credit card commercial…..”Priceless”
To quote that old credit card commercial…..”Priceless”
The USA needs a new flag. I suggest deleting the stars and installing the swastika. I read a comment over on The Automatic Earth that Victoria Nuland was handing out her cookies laced with amphetamine during the “Maiden Revolution” The Naz!s were supposed to be juiced on drugs during the Blitzkrieg. They say history does not repeat, but rhymes.
The US supplied ISIS with captagon, which is an amphetamine that takes away fear and morals and allows them to commit atrocities without reservations.
Now the Russians report that the Ukie recruits facing them are on some kind of drug that allows them to go without sleep for days and when they are shot they don’t feel it. They keep going until they collapse.
I have no doubt that the US is supplying these proxy forces also.
Hmm. Meth maybe. Perhaps new and improved in one of those laboratories over there.
The Zombie Apocalypse.
American Pilots got stuff too to help keep going.
Maybe such a flag could be seen as a reconciliation of the stars and stripes and the stars and bars, with fifty little Swastikas for the states.
In any case, the Rainbow flag being eaten by the Trans is the real flag right now.
I used to work with a Vietnam vet who had worked as a medic in Vietnam.
He said they would come around with plates of amphetamines and hand them out to the medical staff to keep them awake and working.
While wearing a nice red target cross on our helmet.
You were a medic in Vietnam, Rain Water?
The prose in this essay is as good as the lyrics in that Dylan song.
Except Dylan sold out to the Establishment. Jim didn’t.
And lifted most of his lyrics without attribution. He’s more of a fake character than Tony Clifton.
Yeah, Bob Dylan was about as fake as fake can get.
I never felt any affinity for him. Before I knew what a fake he is I mostly didn’t like him because his music sucks. I guess I should say “his” music.
At least Elvis had a real voice and never claimed to write his songs.
“We are like night and day, [Dylan] and I. Bob is not authentic at all. He’s a plagiarist, and his name and voice are fake. Everything about Bob is a deception.”
– Joni Mitchell
If you want to dig deep, listen to Modern Times and then get a Henry Timrod anthology. Many lines are ripped whole cloth from Timrod’s poetry. Henry Timrod was an obscure poet to most, but is the poet laureate of the Confederacy to Southern nationalists. I have heard some critics refer to the album as “Modern Crimes.” There are numerous articles about the album and blatant plagiarism.
Dylan was never the anti-establishment folkie that the media tried to portray him as.
He’s a musician, an artist.
That’s true about Dylan. He had two abiding interests in life: the well being of his family, and real estate investing. He was living in Woodstock NY in ’69 when he got wind of the upcoming Music Festival; moving quickly, it was partially due to his efforts the event was moved about 60 miles away from Woodstock. Nevertheless, just to be safe, he made sure he and his family was far away in Europe when the concert took place. Meanwhile, Dylan thru his friend the Chief of Police procured an M-1 Carbine, which he carried while patrolling his property in lookout for hippy trespassers. (Dylan was mindful of his friend Frank Sinatra being extorted when Sinatra’s son was kidnapped and held for ransom)
I’ve never met Bobby Z. I’ve seen him drivin’ around town here before… and I worked with his nephew (who looks a lot like him). They are very normal, working-class people from the Iron Range.
Funny memory. Jessica Lange smiled at me while she was sitting on her porch, around here, too. Later, I ran into her drunk ex-husband, Sam Shepard, in a bar/restaurant in the state of Virginia. He was a total asshole to everybody at the bar.
I don’t know the odds of me seeing one stranger in one state, and then meeting their spouse (another stranger), in another.
1 in a trillion? idk
Kinda like me with the cast of Breaking Bad.
Met, know or ran into 3 of them in person so far. 2 of them in LA and one out here in Boise.
What are the odds?
Rotweillers prowling the grounds too.
Jarek,
Miles Mathis has written that much of Dylan’s work was supplied by Leonard Cohen. He doesn’t say that Mr. Zimmerman was “influenced by” or “borrowed from” Mr. Cohen; he maintains that Dylan’s best stuff was provided — every note and every word — by the fellow who wrote “Suzanne.”
He also points out that since Joni Mitchell was romantically involved with Mr. Cohen for awhile, this gave her special insight into the origins of Mr. Dylan’s oeuvre.
I tried to find the link to the Mathis column in which he speaks of all this, but couldn’t locate it. In any case, I fear this post would not go through if I added a link.
I wouldn’t say he’s an artist. Unless trash is art.
I didn’t know Dylan was a fake. Who did he get his lyrics from?
All artists “steal” in some sense, don’t they – as in being influenced? Of course some are more graceful about it than others.
Who is your favorite 60’s rock icon?
I don’t have a favorite rock icon from any decade. You know, I’m not 12 anymore.
If you want to know more about Bob Dylan, put that above average mind of yours to work and do some research.
I’ll give you one crumb to follow though….Check out Dave McGowan’s work on the 60s and the Hippie “movement”.
We went to a concert in KC with Dylan and Merle Haggard. The joke in the line was “Who is opening for who?”.
Merle Haggard was authentic. Dylan and Johnny Cash are/were frauds.
Re McGowan and Laurel Canyon–
Dylan wasn’t part of that scene tho. He was totally removed from Laurel Canyon.
I agree in a sense that the case can be made that everything that is on the airwaves is manufactured, which is the “commercialization of cool.”
The commodification of culture, which is to say we don’t make our own entertainment and culture but rather it’s provided top down, is not a new observation, and how the plebs are left to form their identities from the choices that are provided them.
Dylan’s background was removed from the Secret Society of Laurel Canyon tho, which was old WASP military intelligence; Dylan was a diaspora jew whose dad owned a hardware store in Hibbing, and that was back when MN was, actually, anti semitic, lol.
I don’t have a favorite rock icon from any decade. You know, I’m not 12 anymore.
You know what’s a better question to ask, Jarek, is– What is your favorite song, that you like to sing and play?
Dylan actually wrote (re worked) and performed in that vein, of traditional American.
A cynic such as Mick doesn’t appreciate traditional American song, the genre nor the music. He is a merely a critic, and not a participant in the culture. He isn’t one of us.
I’ll give you one crumb to follow though….Check out Dave McGowan’s work on the 60s and the Hippie “movement”.
It’s old news that LSD was manufactured by military intelligence as a mind control drug but that doesn’t mean the counter culture was inorganic.
That’s a non sequitur of the first order. That would be like saying, because I cut and seeded the grass, my lawn in inorganic.
Laurel Canyon was an operation of the Military Establishment, and they used rock and roll to corrupt the youth. But guess what — all those kids were actually living their lives and wanted something other than what the establishment had on offer. The fact that Jim Morrison mighta got some insider help in his songwriting, and promoted beyond his talent, is supposed to be this big Reveal about how everything is fake and ghey?
The commercialization of culture preceded rock and roll. French intellectuals, Marx, others, were pointing this out long before that.
All that said.. we live in a Wasteland, the 60s culture didn’t remedy that. People who are too attached to it, are relics. But pointing to Laurel Canyon as if it’s evidence that nothing is real, is meh.
tldr- boomer music was good, actually; those who disagree prolly don’t even play their own music
Or unless Art is music.
I just got an opinion too, but Dylan was a genius, the real deal, and I say this as someone as skeptical of the “culture of critique” as anyone on this board.
He didn’t sell out, at all. He is the only celebrity of that rank, to call out the Kennedy assassination for the coup that it was, in his recent song about the death of America, Murder Most Foul. Also, he made it clear with his album, “Love and Theft” [quotation marks included in the album title] that was released on Sept 11, 2001, that 9/11 was another coup, and that insiders know all about it. Check out the 9th song on that album, Honest With Me, which begins–
I am standing in the city that never sleeps [NYC]
some of these women, just give me the creeps
Avoidin the South Side [WTC, anyone?] best I can
these memories I got, they will strangle a man
Those saying he doesn’t have talent, are literally no-nothings, when it comes to being music critics. Paul McCartney and members of The Band, thought he was the best songwriter, and their opinions count.
Dylan wrote about 50 songs that can be included in the Songbook, and that’s a million billion times more than zero, which is what his critics have contributed. Hendrix is another who was in awe of him.
nb4 yeah it’s a historical genre, at this point, perhaps? but whatcha gonna do; the kids all listen to rap, ffs
As a lyricist, Dylan is without equal. There’s plenty of others who write great lyrics, in the overall genre of American or Western popular music, but no one has even come close to contributing as much good lyrical material, as he has.
His albums “Love and Theft” is one magnum opus after the next. Literally every lyrical line is perfect.
The Nobel Prize is a total farce, but if it wasn’t he would still deserve it.
The criticism that “he cannot sing” is like an 8-grader’s level criticism. In actual fact his timing and phrasing and delivery are sophisticated.
All that said, it’s popular music, and poetry, and the big picture historians say that it’s only in failing societies that those people are held to that level of esteem.
In the old days, Old Farmer Joe could play a mean violin and occasionally risen to the level of greatness, in between seasons of hard work.
Songwriters who sing their own work have always been excuded from the good sining requirement, from my observation.
Also, rock/pop was never about the singing as much as the song.
That’s what they didn’t get, with that American Idol song.
The most popular artists got that status from their music, not their voices.
I’m not saying that some artists were not excellent singers, but we aren’t talking opera.
Kenny Rogers is an example of someone who was “pitchy” at times, but who did not love his voice and his singing?
I remember Stevie Wonder having to coach Bob on how to sing his part to We Are The World.
I always thought that was an awful tune and was almost un-singable anyway.
nice takes
““There’s a lot of stupidity in public discourse, and most of it is not worth paying attention to…”
I implore the host and commenters to watch what Taibbi and Shellenberger had to endure in congressional testimony.
Just watch Taibbi’s face as he endures the retarded bile coming from the Democrat’s JV squad. They even trotted out the corrupt skank-poodle Wasserman- Schultz without any inkling of irony.
The indignity of having to endure stupid people in a position well beyond any status they should hold by merit or mental faculty is tortuous.
If you watch their testimony and the moronic “leaders” hectoring them there is no way a rational person can walk away without accepting that we live in a failed state.
I watched a bit this morning (pre-recorded). It was Massie (KY), an actual Republican, so he wasn’t hassling the two journalists. His five minute monologue was so ill-scripted and meandering, my brain turn off. It included large visual aids that were unreadable.
Apparently, the CDC, even after being contacted by Massie multiple times, would not remove from their website something about young people still needing the vaxxines even if they had already had COVID. So the young people in Kentucky were getting shots that should have gone to the old people.
And Massie is supposed to be one of the smarter ones.
And to your point, Taibbi and Shellenberger are heroes.
They think ‘hearing’ means we get to hear them.
They could have their staff help them come up with some pointed, direct questions to ask, but nooo…..
The Bill of Rights is alien to them. Conquered peoples have no rights in any case.
They’ll be nothing left of Ukraine, the United States, or the West if their power is not broken soon. There’s no way out but through.
I caught a clip of this Virgin Islands’ Delegate delusionally excoriating Matt and Michael. And it was far from the worst of the several vid clips I yesterday saw.
Here’s today’s Zero Hedge’s opener on it:
“Update (1300ET): Well, that escalated quickly…
As one might expect, the Judiciary hearing on the “weaponization” of federal agencies, featuring Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger as witnesses was full of fireworks, facts, and ad hominem friction.
Out of the gate, Ranking Member Democratic Del. Stacey E. Plaskett labeled the two “so-called journalists” as dangerous and a “threat” to former Twitter employees.
She claimed that Republicans brought “two of Elon Musk’s ‘public scribes'” in “to release cherry-picked out-of-context emails and screenshots designed to promote his chosen narrative – Elon Musk’s chosen narrative – that is now being parroted by the Republicans” for political gain.”
Cherry-picked was the agreed upon terminology.
They all got the memo.
Connie:
I saw a segment of that on Twitter—perhaps linked by someone here, because I am not on Twitter myself.
Wasserman was absolutely zum Kotzen.
Much worse than a huge embarrassment.
A witch cracking her whip of utter stupidity over the head of a genuine journalist. Taibbi took it well, from what I saw.
As Frans de Waal elains and provides evidence of, apes livning in complex societies must learn to hide and disguise their emotions.
IMO Wasserman was a total fool to make such a display of her contempt for freedom of speech, journalism, and an individual journalist sitting in front of her.
I am curious about the Taibbi-Shellenberger match-up. Did Taibbi hire Shellenberger to be part of his journalistic team?
It may also have been a bit stupid for Wasserman-S—to drag Musk’s name through the muck.
Shellenberger told that idiot Virgin Islands woman that Bari Weiss brought him in.
It is pretty amazing.
Debbie Wasserman Shultz made a complete ass of herself as did David Goldman Sachs or Sachs Goldman.
They asked loaded questions but mostly just lectured. Yeah Taibbi seemed to be trying not to laugh, although sometimes he just did.
Both he & Shellenberger did great.
A statement I truly despise is, “We can talk over that”.
How about, “We can…like…talk over that. You know? Like.” lol….
“Failed state” hardly covers it. If it’s any comfort (and it isn’t) other formerly civilized countries have also elected (?) these dimwits and they can be seen embarrassing themselves from within the governing bodies of Europe and the UK in similar fashion. Check out MP Diane Abbott in the UK for similar idiotic shenanigans.
“I heard a rumor this week (yes, it’s just a rumor) that the Federal Reserve is bailing out WalMart, the Krogers supermarket chain, and other national food distributors in a stealth overnight lending operation. Their business model is shot. Nobody has the scratch to buy stuff.”
If the Fed is actually using our money to bail out these corporations, don’t you think we have a right to know about this?
And you need scratch to buy stuff anymore when you can simply go into any store you want and steal the merchandise scott-free? That is how Biden’s new America runs!
Once-a-week I’ll drive half an hour down to the Big City to do my grocery shopping at Meijer, the archetypal “supercenter”. They usually have what I’m looking for (but stock up on the Castello aged havarti cheese, it disappears for months at a time). The little stores up this way just don’t have much – ‘cept for them black pepper kettle-cooked tater chips, mmm mmm.
There are a couple of Krogers in the Big City, but is has been obvious for years that they are on life-support. The stores are drearier, darker, dirtier than flashy clean Meijer. The customers uglier and I’m guessing also stupider. The employees seem to have rode in on the short bus.
I realized, living in south Florida, that you can tell a lot about an area by the grocery stores it supports. If ya gotta buy a house, do it in a Publix neighborhood. Albertsons, probably gonna get run into in the parking lot by a drunk-driving 8-year-old. Winn Dixie, your house is getting broken into while you shop. Last stop before the food desert: bodegas with signs in Spanish or Creole.
There is a Rose in Spanish Harlem. At a certain time of day, the light reflecting off those dusty cans is that heaven and its beauty. And the clerk’s name is Rosita….
The East African Blacks drove out their Indian bodegas, with the dusty cans and huge bags of rice and flour. They said they “needed the space”. But they did nothing with the stores, except maybe turn them into bar. Naked envy. They will pay for their arrogance.
I have to admit that David Icke has been saying for 30 years that there’s a demonic race behind all of this, and he’s been taken for an absolute nutter. Now more people are starting to wonder about that. I recall an ayahuasca researcher telling the shaman that during his “trip” he met some reptilian creatures that said they were our creators. The shaman laughed and said, “they’re always saying that.” Lies and the father(s) of lies. That’s their “trip.” And, by the way, their primary food is the low level energy of fear and rage so “DON’T FEED THE DEMONS!
Some time traveler from the future has claimed to come back and say that the subterranean lizard people will soon be revealing themselves later this year or next, and then all hell will break loose. I guess we will see. As they say, even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Yep, Just take a look at Debbie Wasserman-Schultz. Lizard lady, fer sure!!
Whenever I see her, I almost expect a long forked tongue to flicker out and catch a fly.
Cartoonists, to your drawing tables!!
Icke is a step beyond Alex Jones, and I have to agree that some of his most out-there stuff is starting to seem plausible on some level.
There is definitely something spiritual to what is going on.
Since you are in Germany, perhaps you might be interested in the hundreds of books out there delving into the occult/black magic stuff going on behind the scenes in the Nazi leadership. Especially regarding Heinrich Himmler. According to some writers, Hitler was a politician first and made sure that his dark “interests” never got publicity. It’s also claimed that anyone knowing anything about the great leader’s spiritual interests had a very short lifespan. Himmler wasn’t in politics and had a lot more independence to pursue his wacky demonic interests in occultism. Himmler had plans to introduce a new form of Christianity with an Aryan Christ. The sort of stuff that might get some support from Jarek.
You would think that the genealogy listed in the gospels would be adequate to show that Jesus is a Judahite. How could you get around that?
I know plenty about the Nazis and the occult. I have long had an interest in the Third Reich period and how it came about, used to edit a history magazine specifically devoted to WWII history, and I have visited most of the related sites here in Germany (Wewelsburg, Berchtesgaden, Vogelsang, etc.).
Tell us what you know.
I have better things to do, Cargill.
Wood,
Not sure how important genuine occultism was in the Nazi plot.
However, the Thule Society was a foundational organization.
Guido Preparata, in “Conjuring Hitler:How Britain and America Made the Third Reich,” presents some info on sort-of occultists who supported Hitler.
If you have that book, look in the index for “Thule,” “Thule Society,” von Sebottendorff, Rudolf (founder of Thule Society).”
There is a good, brief overview of the Thule Gesellschaft in Snyder, Encyclopedia of the Third Reich (“Thule Gesellschaft”). Many of the original Nazis (not yet called that) were Thulers.
See also the Wiki entry:
httpX://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thule_Society
In that entry is this:
“It is quite clear that Hitler himself had little interest in, and made little time for, “esoteric” matters.[25] (See also Hitler’s Nuremberg speech of 6 September 1938 on his disapproval of occultism.)[citation needed]. . . . Hitler moved to sever the party’s link with the Thule Society, which subsequently fell into decline and was dissolved about five years later,[22] well before Hitler came to power. ”
I don’t see a lot of evidence of “occultism” amid the mystical symbols (Hakenkreuz), mumbo-jumbo, and silly rituals. These are for human consumption and PR . . .
Preparata’s work is definitely worth checking out. Just do an online search for his name. He has done quite a few podcasts, etc.
The big take-away is that Preparata sees the Third Reich and hence WW2 as a UK-USA project. He also sees the response to 9/11 as the same: UK-USA project.
He makes this very clear in the Afterword to the German edition on Conjuring Hitler:
httpX://guidopreparata.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/CH-German-Nachwort-2016_07_28-21_21_30-UTC.pdf
You need to do more research.
They did rituals at the Externsteine. And Wewelsburg is more or less dedicated to Himmler’s obsession with the occult.
A few rituals do not “occultism” make
Any more than do rituals among Freemasons, or in the Catholic Church.
A few occultist nut cases do not make the the Nazi Party or its program “occult.”
“A castle dedicated to occult practices does not make make one an occultist.”
WTF are you even talking about.
Oh, boy,
more “mein Schwanz ist groesser” from NO.
“I have long had an interest in the Third Reich period and how it came about,”
Woo woo. You and no one else!
““A castle dedicated to occult practices does not make make one an occultist.
””
What aperture did you pull that out of?
People can read the Wiki entry on Wewelsburg. I don’t see anything there about “black magic.” Just a lot of mumbo-jumbo rituals planned to take place at a castle that reflected one person’s obsession. An obsession that many SS colleagues found silly:
“The first commandant of the castle (Burghauptmann von Wewelsburg), from August 1934, was Obersturmbannführer (Lieutenant Colonel) Manfred von Knobelsdorff.[7] He was partial to Karl Maria Wiligut’s religious theories. The opinion of other SS-scientists about Wiligut were absolutely negative.”
As for Wewelsburg as a locale to train SS cadres in the correct ideology, what makes that different from West Point, or, indeed, MIT or Harvard? They all trade in ideological fables of virtue.
“Research”: How about starting with defining ‘poccult.” First use of “the occult” to refer to the supernatural was 1888. Before that it referred to any secret or arcane knowledge such as myths and legends.
“occult: something mysterious or supernatural —usually used with the
Origin of OCCULT
First Known Use: circa 1888”
Himmler set up the SS as an elite order, comparable to a monastic order, or the Jesuits, or Scull and Bones, or the Green Berets or other elite military corps or secret society such as the Freemasons. Himmler may have believed that runes etc. had magical properties, but the reality is that just about all groups with claims on elite or special status, such as fraternities, use ancient language and symbolism to establish their DNA and image, and come up with rituals to create an identity and “blood brotherhood.” Certainly the prostrate German people (and “German Austria”) needed some reminder of past greatness and recent history offered nothing (unification was only in 1871) . If this is black magic, then a hell of a lot of people are doing it! (In a sense, Russia is doing the same thing now, with its heavy emphasis on the orthodox legacy as cultural glue and identity to ). Havene’t we had enough of fake “democratic values” as rationales for feeding the MIC via Ukraine, etc. to spot this game?
The fascination with the idea of black magic and “the occult” as a feature of Nazism seems to be a symptom of an obsession or fetishization of all things Nazi by later generations. But it is a minor ripple in a very big stream.
IMO the most important feature of Nazism—what it actually did (you might say “accomplished”)—had nothing to do with black magic, regardless of what someone like Himmler or a nutter like some Austrian mystic or early Thulers thought.
Nazism was a coldly calculated and systematically planned totalitarian social and economic system achieved via the execution of a series of specific changes in specific laws and creation of new laws and administrative/bureaucratic innovations. It made masterful use of .symbols and spectacle whose target audience was both the domestic populace and foreigners.
Contemporary quote from a Polish journalist traveling across Germany by train to Poland in I think ca 1938: “The louder and hoarser their leaders speak, and the more hysterically the crowds shout ‘Sieg Heil’, … the deeper and more impenetrable the silence of the people becomes. . . .The greater a power the Third Reich becomes, … the more powerfully grows the regime of spies that ‘keeps watch’ over the ‘enthusiasm’ of the citizen.”
You probably didn’t even know what the Externsteine were until mentioned them.
LOL.
Re Exsternsteine,
Quite true, but so what, Schwaenzchen.
httpX://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Externsteine
Very interesting geological, anthropological, and art-history site.
You are basing your theory of the centralitly of hocus-pocus in the Third Reich on this?
You might be right, but the problem is that you just don’t present any arguments. You also don”t counter any arguments. You just insult.
Yes, our energy they feed off of is called “Loosh”. Robert Monroe confirmed this during a few of his many, many astral travels.
Get ready, the Demons are about to get up close and personal. Soon.
You won’t have to be tripping or a Shaman to see them. They know they have a short time, so they’re going crazy. This is why our leaders are crazy. Most of them are A) Demons themselves, or B) Totally compromised/possessed.
According to Malachi Martin, those that are demonized (most of the time by multiple demons), have no awareness of the fact that they have been demonized.
see
‘Hostage To The Devil’ by Malachi Martin
See Scot Peck – the perfectly possessed.
Or the perfectly stupid
Yet their emissaries on Earth have to be defeated. And the ordinary man can’t fight without getting angry. As the Bible says, Be angry but do not sin. Anger yes, blind rage, no.
For a more plausible take on this issue, I suggest the Secret Sun blog. I don’t buy into a lot of it, but it’s interesting and I have absolutely no doubt that there’s a spiritual element at work.
Are there groups of people who have secretly worshipped the bloodthirsty old gods that Christianity supposedly banished? Well, we know that where Christianity is forbidden, it has not died but has gone underground. Why would that not be true of other, older religions, their followers waiting for the opportunity to return? What better time than now, when we accept every perversion in the name of tolerance? If that’s not the case, how do we explain the profusion of outright satanic imagery in popular culture, art, etc?
I’d be more kindly disposed toward Dr. Redfield if he hadn’t been twirling a stupid piece of cloth and elastic on his finger while claiming it was even better than a vaccine.
Look at his Patents:
patents.justia.com/inventor/robert-redfield
As if I can read that stuff.
Understood Beryl.
The Sars-Cov-2 virus contains three (3) HIV inserts.
HIV was Redfield’s speciality, and those Patents he owns pertain directly to advanced HIV research on his part, as it pertains to the following:
A naturally-occuring virus would not contain three (3) distinct insertions of *Human* Immunodeficiency Virus [HIV].
It had to have been manmade, without a doubt, because of this.
And the Indian researchers who pointed that out in early 2020 were forced to recant and repent.
We are back in medieval times, complete with the upcoming neofeudalism.
Oh. Thanks.
Dr. Luc Montagnier, a 2008 Nobel Prize winner, had been forced to retract his HIV insert theory as you had stated Paula, but *only* because the Indian research pertaining to the matter had not been peer-reviewed, and was thus retracted.
A formality, which speaks nothing to the underlying science per Montagnier inho.
Isn’t he the doctor who serves Dracula in London?
His pets are the Werewolves of London.
Deer in the headlights anyone?
Or rather I can’t see the skies for all of the potential black swan flocks blotting out the sun.
Well, sometimes one just has to wait and see, and this feels like one of those times. The last 4 years of serious prepping have me now on pause. And trying to remember to enjoy what I can while I can.
Such is my interregnum of this soon-enough-to-be “Holy Shit! paradigm shift.
81 year old Mitch McConnell, in office since ’84, is in the hospital. We can only hope.
The turtle is about to fully retreat into his shell and stay there permanently.
I hear he identifies as a turkey now, so hopefully the vets can do something for him. It’s still a bit too early to slaughter him for Thanksgiving.
At the risk of sounding churlish, I hope that he is in great pain. That might, just might, make him feel a bit of the pain that he has imposed upon Americans. Same goes for Feinstein and her shingles. These are evil people and it’s good for them to learn that no-one – no-one – big or small, escapes the travails of this world.
It’s called KARMA
I look at him and wonder – “How much damage can this guy called Mitch do?”
Mitch McConnell. What a sad old fucked up geriatric. The very essence of the type of people ruling over us. Look at his degenerate face with all the fat hanging off his chin. Look at his effeminate eyes. I’ll bet he’s never done any real work in his entire life. He’s yet another “grown man” who has spent his entire life talking shit and shuffling papers indoors in climate controlled comfort with a bunch of confused females.
He’s a dead ringer for Martha Washington.
Not everyone is a sudra, Woody. There are four castes. One can do honest intellectual work too, it’s just become increasingly uncommon.
Mitch was right out there in front of the cameras with Schumer condemning the release of the January 6th tapes to Tucker Carlson. Biden, Schumer, McConnell — these are what are public servants look like. They’re making Caligula appointing his horse to the Roman Senate look like a genius in comparison.
our
Pretty bad concussion. I don’t think a guy his age can recover from that. If he doesn’t die, he’ll be dribbling on himself until he does. Even if it’s ten years from now.
I don’t buy Cheez-Doodles because I don’t like them and besides, they aren’t good for you.
What about Mountain Dew, is that good for you? Maybe the one they claim is made with “real sugar”?
A pean to those that do the Dew;
Avoid the men that do the Dew,
If you do, your life is through,
With blemished skin, no teeth to chew,
Their liver gone, their kidneys too,
Their eyesight poor, their judgment shot,
Most internal organs rot,
Wife’s run off, his kids smoke pot,
To do the Dew I’d rather not.
It is also listed as an abomination in the Bible…Isa 66:17…
You could look it up.
,
“Real sugar” is a toxic substance. High fructose corn syrup is much worse, and it’s in most all processed foods. And most of the fake sugars are also toxic except for stevia.
It has orange juice in it too. It’s practically a health food.
I had Mountain Dew once. It was like drinking grease.
So I looked at the ingredients and it does contain grease.
No thank you. If I want to eat grease, I’ll eat it the way God intends, in french fries.
Yep, sure does. Brominated vegetable oil.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brominated_vegetable_oil
Next you’ll be saying fat-phobic stuff, Tom, and have some blue-haired basking shark knocking down your front door 🙂
I don’t buy potato chips. Or ice-cream. I have other weaknesses starting with chocolate and ending with food portions that are too large. I am fighting (and losing) the battle of the bulge.
But I am always happy when I discover that something that is bad for me isn’t really a favorite. Thank God for small favors.
Good strategy. Identify your weaknesses and then just don’t let them in the house.
I love chips, but they’re hell on my delicate digestion. Deep fried is bad enough, but deep fried oils?
Try Triscuits. Still crunchy and salty, but they have real fiber and are digestible.
Many flavors. A great one I’m into now is Tzatziki – white winter wheat. Use them as dips for salsa, sour cream, etc. This flavor goes great with guacamole – especially tomatillo flavored!
Jaros the gourmet! Who knew?
I’m guessing the Black Pepper and Olive Oil is not your favorite, though.
What makes you say that? It’s ok in the winter. I haven’t tried all the flavors yet. My favorite so far is the one with cilantro.
Just messing with you, my man.
Triscuits are hardly gourmet.
Total processed crap.
Ok, by that logic you should just be eating nuts, berries, and raw eggs.
You’re a nutter.
I ate some cheeze doodles once at a party.
They taste like and have the texture of fine sawdust.
I have never eaten cheese doodles, but I used to be fond of Fritos.
Frito Pies are big down here in the SW. Basically Fritos, Chile, and Cheese and whatever else the cat drags in.
Fritos and PBJ Sammies are the BEST! Sweet and salty.
Yum, Frito pie. I still eat a version, but this version adds lettuce, so that makes it a healthy salad, amirite?
“That will be the end of ‘Joe Biden.'”
I’m not so sure about that. Biden’s current approval rating, depending on the poll, lies between 39% and 42% – the highest since June! That’s a pretty big minority – hey, maybe they should get their own month?
The Big Guy could be caught on video, in scuba gear, placing explosives on the Nordstream pipelines, and holding up a dive slate that says: “I’m Joe Biden and I approve this sabotage!” Ashley Biden could upload videos of her and daddy showering together to her OnlyFans account. Hunter could turn over the Burisma files to Elon Musk with the complaint, “I only wanted my share!”. And roughly one-third of this country would still strongly approve of the senile pedophile war criminal in the Oval Office.
The Big Guy’s doing a great job (exactly as his owners need for him to do), he ain’t goin’ nowhere – well not until It’s Hillary’s Turn!. “But then, what?” That’s what.
Recently he seems to have been promising that both Social Security and Medicare will be funded until I think “past 2050.”
Not much of a promise, but is works for quite a few people, I guess.
I can’t bear to watch him speak.
His face, his speech, his wispy hair, his belligerent tone as he slurs out his messaging in the manner of a half inebriated “tough guy”—all are truly ghoulish.
Behold, the president of the USA.
And then there’s his freak show cabinet…
And yet roughly one-third of the population loves him. Absolutely deluded. (“Ugh, ugh, ugh, but Trump!!!”)
And his shuffle! I can’t stand to watch him walk or do stairs.
He always looks like he pooped his pants and he’s trying not to disturb the load.
And that’s probably accurate.

Blackbird — He isn’t Trump!!! That’s all that matters. Hunter can do finger paints and sell them to the devil, Zelensky can send his countrymen into losing battles and Kamala can slaughter the English language and none of it matters to the NeverTrumpers. He has saved the nation from the clutches of Hitler#2 and is a hero.
Regarding “Tony Blinken, presenting an International Women of Courage award to Ms. Alba Rueda of Argentina, a biological man.”
I don’t see a problem with a biological man, such as Ms. Rueda, identifying as a woman if Joe Biden can identify as a President of the United States.
ROFL! Thou, sir, hast great wit.
Chazzicles: Thank you for this uplifting reply. Unfortunately, there are way too many crooked, treasonous politicians attempting to identify as honest, upstanding people.
Olaf Scholz is more spineless than the gay snowman from Frozen.
Perhaps that is why Olaf’s yacht, recently spotted on the Rhine, is aptly named ‘Coelenterata’.
“Meanwhile, our Intel Community has discovered that it was… well might have been… Ukraine, after all, who blew up the Nord Stream pipelines — with help from some outside parties (namely, America’s Intel Community).”
Ukraine doesn’t have a functional Sea-Doo and snorkel. They couldn’t blow up the bathroom at Taco Bell after a bean burrito orgy.
THAT, should be all over the media!!! Such a cockamamie theory, it boggles the mind.
“Ukraine doesn’t have a functional Sea-Doo and snorkel. They couldn’t blow up the bathroom at Taco Bell after a bean burrito orgy.”
The image that conjures up attacks all the senses at once.
RD — How true. I doubt there are 5 scuba divers in Ukraine. Isn’t it inspiring how quickly Biden threw his buddy Zelensky under the bus when a journalist of impeccable reputation exposed him?
Yet again, I will say, I’ll believe it when I see it. Biden has a much better chance of living out his life as a damn-near-billionaire than he does of facing any criminal charges. I simply have zero faith in our law enforcement to do anything to any rich, connected asshole.
Rodulf: You are totally correct. There will be no prosecution of those who have done the greatest damage.
They do believe they are beyond reach, yes. We’ll see, I guess.
The Director of National Intelligence is going to have to declassify everything on the origins of covid.
I don’t think that is going to do any good, because as we’ve seen with the Nord Stream story, someone could put the truth in the public’s face, and our government and the MSM would say it was different than what we can see with our own eyes.
See my post above…
Watching the congressional hearings on the Twitter files is pretty fun, too. It’s obvious to anyone that Democrats want to end free speech as we know it, and journalistic freedom as well. They broke the deal with journalists, and Matt Taibbi is fighting back. Instead of asking Matt about his reporting on the Twitter situation, though, many of the Dem representatives chose to try to steer it to Trump and Russian interference in the election (not sure which election though – lol). It was cringeworthy.
I am happy to see high-profile shows such as Joe Rogan and Tucker showing the world the real January 6. Lots of people are shocked at how they’ve been led around by the nose.
It seems that conservatives are doing something, even if just for show. We shall see. But I sure do like seeing these issues out in the mainstream where people can see them.
It remains to be seen if these things are being exposed merely for political gain or if something will be done – that’s where my skepticism comes in.
It was surreal to watch Wasserman-Schultz beclown herself trying to take down Taibbi.
It wasn’t that long ago that she just loved ol’ Matt.
“It wasn’t that long ago that she just loved ol’ Matt.”
When was that?
It wasn’t that long ago that she loved Imran.
Matt was a darling of the left ever since his Goldman-Sachs piece, and he was pretty quiet during the Corona Hoax.
I am happy he is finally doing something to stop this insanity. Seing any Obama/Clinton hack attack him is both surreal and great at the same time.
Yes. Surreal, indeed. How she still has a job, I don’t even know, after all her crimes were exposed years ago.
That’s why I don’t believe in the “They blackmail them to keep them in line” story.
They get away with murder if they are Establishment favorites.
We know about the Clintons, the Podestas and Joe Scarborough.
And then there was the time Cheney shot his friend in the face, but didn’t report it until he sobered up the next day.
I have no doubt that they have a shit ton on Wasserman-Schultz.
They are keeping her in line. I can’t imagine she enjoys being their bagwoman and being this hated.
Just those Pakistanis she let run Congressional computers should be enough.
But I still thank she’s favored. Don’t know if she cares how much we hate her.
They all care. When I was in DC, I nearly got a job in a political consultancy. I did the Capitol Hill bar scene, hung around lots of interns and up and coming AOC types.
My roomate of several years was VP of one of the largest and most powerful Democratic consultancies in Washington DC.
One thing they care about more than almost anything else is what others think of them.
To suggest otherwise outs you as clueless.
Well said. Tucker and Elon are the current dynamic duo.
Wait a minute. The International Woman of Courage Award went to a dude dressed up like a Woman? That is courageous. The dude deserves the award.
The army of vaccine injured transsexuals mobilized to dislodge the Russian Army from Donbas & the Crimea will be led not by Blinkin, but by Admiral Rachel Levine (Stunning and Brave) and his XO, Sam Brinton. Imagine the surprise of battle hardened Wagner battalion troops when those two emerge from the trenches.
As Tucker said last night, Men have won the war between the sexes. Women have capitulated – giving their own awards to men. One is reminded of the Miss Viking award in Minnesota being given to a Black woman.
Tucker calls this winning?
I call it a desert.
“[…] leading post-haste to the disintegration of NATO, and leaving America’s army of vaccine-injured transsexuals to reconquer the Donbas and Crimea, led by Tony Blinken in an off-the-shoulder cocktail dress.”
Hahahahahaha!
This is one of those times in which I wish we could post pictures here, because if I could I’d post one of Dr. Frankenfurter….NATO’s Brave Military Chief who will lead the Forces of the West into battle against those rascally Russkies!
(For those who don’t know “Dr. Frankenfurter”, do a search and click Images).
Cartoonists, to your drawing boards!!
So if “they say” is just one person with preferred nonsensical pronouns, do you leave the verb as is, or do you say “they says”?
If they can demand you use their special pronouns, can they demand you conjugate verbs in their special way also?
What would Q say?
Q would make multiple grammatical errors in his response, making the entire excercise pointless.
Easy fix. Just assume they identify as two people.
The “they say/says” business is pathetic.
There are plenty of ways to get around the singular male pronoun, and publishers made sure that copy editors kept their eyes peeled for inequitable language. That didn’t necessarily mean making it “gender-neutral”; it could mean using the plural instead of singular (works in most situations, actually); or alternating between “he” and “she”; or using only “she” when the context called for it; using the passive voice to avoid the issue; etc. .
“They” used as a singular pronoun followed by a plural verb often leads to a lot of ambiguity, the necessity to reread, and the stylistic transgression “unclear antecedent.”
But I kind of like “They wants to be called ‘they. l l ‘”
Alba once angrily defended the use of they as a singular pronoun, saying: The language evolves. Deal with it.
Actually, I support the use of “they” as a singular pronoun when referring to an individual for whom gender is unknown.
For example:
“If someone wants to wear the dodo hat, first they have to roll the ball into the gutter.” (True Story)
Language evolves, and we should help it along, and not let it turn down evolutionary dead-ends.
Maybe that’s what she(?) meant; the they functioning like a variable in algebra – x the unknown!
It used to be knowable but now it is unknowable. And if you delve into these mysteries, you will come to yourself sitting under a bridge. See your next post for the y of it.
@ Blackbird:
“They” was used in that way by Jane Austen, so it goes back a ways.
There are different language levels.
A point lost on most speakers of English.
Spoken speech does not = written speech.
I know, it’s a shock. . .
Well, “they say” is using it that way, also.
Jarek making up more ridiculous crap.
You do miss me, don’t you, when I’m not commenting? That’s endearing, dear.
FYI ‘they’ has been used as a singular pronoun for aeons. It was house style in the scientific publishing company I worked for because it avoided endless clumsy constructions involving repeated iterations of ‘he or she and ‘his or her’ in clinical descriptions.
‘Angrily defended’ – hilarious. I haven’t the slightest interest in its use by the trans brigade, one way or the other. But it’s fascinating that I’m obviously even appearing in your dreams. Sweet.
Also fascinating that, in that dream you had, the quote you dreamed, ‘language evolves – deal with it’ would be considered ‘angry’.
You are seriously troubled, poor boy. Even in your dreams.
Your rage is palpable. You can’t blame the Vax since you were like this before.
You have just proved your psychological trouble again. Fever dreams and no insight.
It’s not me sitting on my own with my incel dreams and desperate imaginings. I say what I like and go and make a cup of tea.
Poor boy.
You’ll know you’re making spiritual progress when you don’t like gays qua gays anymore. And when they don’t like you.
Why, for a person who mostly appears intelligent, do you say such stupid things?
I love my nephew because he’s my nephew. I don’t have a single gay friend and haven’t had one since I was a student (and only then a group-friend).
I happen to have worked with a handful of perfectly nice, ordinary, non-flamboyant gay men.
I appreciated them as colleagues. I didn’t even recognise any of them as gay until someone told me they were (generally in the context of mentioning a partner).
Please desist from writing further bollocks on the subject. It shows a weird side to your character.
But once you knew, you loved them even more.
Idiot.
You say “he says” if it’s a male, “she says” if it’s a female. Then you let “it” freak out and try to explain to you – and everyone within earshot – that it is something that it obviously isn’t.
And then you start looking for another job.
Paula D: The totally woke annihilation of gender specific nouns and pronouns has required a friend of mine to change his name:
HERMAN is now known as THEIRPERSON.
Paula D: This absurd non-gender woke language is causing many problems with the English language. However, I am wondering how it is affecting Spanish speakers.
In Spanish, articles and adjectives must agree in gender and number with the nouns they modify. Of course there are a few exceptions, such as “la mano”, meaning “the hand.” According to the rules, it should be “el mano”, but it isn’t. I remember this one because I got it wrong on a test.
Anyway, if Spanish nouns, articles and adjectives are all gender specific, how will this language ever become totally woke?
I guess Spanish will have to be cancelled.
Prospero,
they do it by replacing the usual “o” (masculine) and “a” (feminine) with “e”
Hijos: sons. Hijas: daughters. “Hijes”… you get the drift.
My friend who has been a HS Spanish teacher for 30 years is stymied by the trans agenda’s pronoun thing, esp. “Latinx” which makes no sense.
No one in the TRA camp ever asked Spanish speakers about any of it, either.
If you want even more of a laugh, look no further – this is great:

That is great. Our rulers deserve nothing but ridicule.
Lol…
I’d love it if we find out that Pelosi actually opened the door to her office for that one guy.
Come to think of it…..just why was her office unlocked anyway? Lol….
Probably the same reason her SanFran home was unlocked and open for crazy hammer guy to come in and bash her husband. These people thrive on the negative publicity and playing the victim card.
I’m pretty sure that husband brought crazy hammer guy home with him and unlocked the door for both of them.
One instance where seeing what happened still doesn’t tell us what happened.
I thought someone in such a high government position had taxpayer-paid security above and beyond the local police.
They were expecting LOTS of entrapment opportunities.
Her daughter the filmmaker just happened to be doing a “shoot” on Jan6. Heroic Betsy Ross momma and all that jazz….
Yeee-Awwwn…
Haha – that’s brilliant!
Oh my. A basic understanding of what is happening here to the US capital market shows what is happening to us.
In a nutshell, the fallacy of faith in the United States and it’s dollar is finally starting to collapse. Too many years of increasing fiat dollar printing is finally making Americans and the world to realize that the only thing the US is full of is hot air. Fifty years of liberal tax and spend policy, both domestic and foreign has forced America to create trillions of dollars of fiat money that has nothing to back it up, 31.6 trillion that is. At this point, the only thing that keeps us from going belly up is the faith of all the Treasury creditors having faith that eventually the US government will figure out how to pay its debt. That does not include the trillions of debt dollars owed by the corporations and citizens of the country.
There is no way that the US can deal with this debt, no way. The world is coming to this realization, that is why China for one is starting to try to strategically dump their treasuries and buy gold. A scary side of this is that the world bullion banks have been selling gold to nations and getting Treasuries in payment. That is absurd. Shades of the prelude to the Big Short.
Look at the world reaction, countries right and left are joining up with the BRICS+ economic group. The latest move this morning, Saudi Arabia is trying to re establish relations with Iran. Everything seems to be moving away from the US.
Two causes, Obama and Biden and the damnable DNC. The world thinks our government is insane and they are right. Everything JHK addresses today is a symptom of that insanity.
I a final personal example, we went to Matzatlan in the early 80s and I was appalled by the conditions of the people on the way to downtown from the airport. Tents, cardboard boxes were domiciles all the way into town for the obviously homeless. I remember saying to myself, thank God I am from America where this does not happen. Last, November, we went to Puerto Vallarta. The trip in was very different, no homeless, no tents and no cardboard boxes. Then I came home, scratching my head.
Could it me that the cartels, being a more efficient governing body than the idiots in DC, have reversed the economic situation of the two countries over the years.
IMHO, we had a chance to follow the lead of someone who put America First, and he was crucified by the gimmes. We, collectively, are deserving of what is coming.
BTW, Silicon Valley Bank is having a run on itself and is closed today by California regulators.
One more domino.
No worry though, the jobs report says we are in great shape, Biden is still creating all those Big Mac jobs.
I have to say, that I am getting some satisfaction from the suffering tech industry right now. Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of folks.
This bank is very much tied to tech’s finances, of course.
All job loss hurts the collective, though.
More people without jobs is not a good thing.
Okay, I thought about your point.
No, still think its a good thing. Playing my tiny violin fer ’em though.
Not a “collective” kinda guy.
It’s good to have people who get paid for being productive. In the tech sector, people often get paid very big bucks for being non-productive. When people get money for being non-productive, it is inflationary–really the same thing as handing out free money or dropping money from helicopters.
I think it would be a really good thing if we could do away with about 99% of all government jobs. We should also close down the public school system, K-PhD. Also, three-fourths or more of the people employed in health care perform no patient care. They also need to do. All those people could then find work doing something productive.
I meant to say, “The also need to go.”
Anthea, you could not be more correct.
The tech sector is mostly posing and putting up fronts to look busy, and no one really does much.
Remember that movie “The Office”? Those guys were actually productive, stupid and meaningless as they found their jobs to be.
Now? Not so much.
Agree, Mary. It is not a good thing to have boarded up houses. It’s not a good thing to have homeless people panhandling.
It’s not a good thing to have so many poor people that all the local businesses close, and even the chain stores leaving.
It’s not a good thing to have fewer people paying the property taxes, while the feds drop non-English speakers into your town and demand that the schools provide services for their children.
It’s not a good thing to not be able to park your car somewhere without having the parts stolen.
I don’t understand why people think that widespread poverty is a good thing.
And “why don’t they do something productive?” Because the means of production was moved out of the country40 years ago by the owners, and ”just start a small business” doesn’t make it when no one has any money to patronize your small business.
It takes general prosperity to create a pleasant town.
A lot of tech start ups just lost access to all of their capital/ cash.
Many missed payrolls ahead.
” We, collectively, are deserving of what is coming.”
No, we are not.
Only some of us are, namely if you are a Democrat and/or Biden supporter.
Again, we, Collectively, are responsible for what has happened, electing the same socialist activists into DC for fifty years. We, the People have done that.
The only way out is to leave the gimme losers behind. Trump screwed up by not taking that attitude and trying to work with the losers.
Speak for yourself, Bro.
.
Not even them.
They’ve also been programmed and controlled.
Well I don’t deserve what is coming. I have worked hard to stay out of debt and raise my family conservatively. I don’t mooch off of anyone but my own labors. I didn’t vote for or otherwise choose any of this and I don’t deserve any of it. Unfortunately, I’m stuck in the middle of it. I’m not old enough to die soon and still could have 3 decades ahead of me. Sigh.
No one deserves what’s coming. I don’t see that people consciously decided to be programmed and mind-controlled.
It’s interesting to try to figure out how “we” could have prevented the nation’s decline. I think that what John Adams said about our form of government being intended for a “moral and religious people” applies.
The question is, how far would you have to carry that? I’m not sure that anything short of completely detaching yourself and your family and community from government and most of the rest of the modern world would suffice. I.e., you’d just about have to turn Amish.
To me, it seems like literally everything connected in any way with the modern world is hopelessly corrupted.
Agree, Anthea.
All we can do is try to navigate it and stay true to ourselves, and sane, and connected to those around us.
If it wasn’t for Amtrak, the Amish couldn’t travel far. You see entire families on Amtrak a lot around here.
I misstated the first sentence of the second paragraph. A double negative.
S/B. The fallacy of faith in the US dollar——, is finally starting to appear.
I hope Mary got out yesterday. The contagion in the banking system is back. Maybe the wearing of mask will stop the spread?
SVB—the 16th largest bank in the country
The big banks especially. I closed out my US Bank accounts and opened multiple accounts with various local credit unions. I hope it was a wise move on my part.
Got out of what?
What actually is happening to the dollar is that oil producing countries are moving away from the petrodollar.
When oil is sold in other than dollars, the dollar becomes worthless.
Dump the US Dollar and invest in the Ukrainian Hryvnia. One US Dollar gets you almost 37 Ukrainian Hryvnia at the current exchange rate. What a bargain!
Check out “Goldbacks.” Could be a viable alternative to a worthless dollar. The Goldback actually provides a reasonable answer to having a precious metals backed currency. The states of Utah, Wyoming, Nevada and New Hampshire allow them to be used as a legal means of exchange. Some states, I think, are seeing the writing on the wall and are already acting.
I hope that is true, at least.
Gold doesn’t burn. You can’t run an industrial society without oil, but you most certainly can run it without gold.
The US probably stole Germany’s gold a long time ago. Nobody knows for sure, but it doesn’t matter, because you don’t need gold to run transportation and industry.
Let’s see how well Germany does without oil and gas.
Then we can compare and contrast gold-backed money to oil-backed money.
Or we can just watch as the world moves away from the petrodollar and see what happens here as the dollar collapses.
Ironically, it was Alaska who saved the US from the collapsing gold-backed dollar in the early 20th century, when they discovered gold there, which provided enough for a couple more decades.
And then Alaska saved the US again in the 80s, when the discovery of oil made up for peak oil in the continental US.
Too bad Alaska actually still belongs to Russia, and was only leased for 100 years by the US.
Too bad for Russia, that is. The outlaw US will no way give up the property just because the lease ran out.
Trump is talking about building flying cars and “freedom cities”. Obviously only the Elite could afford flying cars. And they would be a safety nightmare if more than a few head them. The prototype exists btw. A Serbian company developed it.
Sounds like the Agenda to me. Of course he is also talking about closing the border. But he did last time to and then said he wanted all these people here – except “legally”.
It’s gonna be a magical world if we let Trump back in. Just like last time.
Have you seen the flying motorcycle? The Japanese did it.
He’s obviously been heavily influenced by someone in his inner circle.
He’s promoting the WEF agenda as if it’s his own ideas.
“Obviously only the Elite could afford flying cars.”
Yea, they’re called airplanes.

My woke family in New York and Portland are still scared to death of the virus and question my sanity when I tell them their female nieces are actually not boys regardless of their identity.
They contend White Supremacy is just about to destroy everything and biden is the best president ever.
The true believers (the Woke) are not budging. Nothing will change their views.
It’s their religion.
As with many cults, the adherents don’t seem to notice when the people who pushed it on them don’t follow it themselves.
The nice thing about Wokism, is that you don’t have to alter your own behavior or anything, you get to stay as you are but just verbally tear down anyone who doesn’t agree with the diktat of the day.
Today I feel like a green feathered female aardvark. Please accommodate me accordingly. Thank you.
I woke up today and decided today would be a good day to be……a Buick. And so it is. Please speak to me in the language of “vroom vroom.”
Did you say you liked cheese doodles?
Susan Sontag, decades ago: Whites are the cancer of humanity.
With the power of the media behind them, they got a large portion of people to believe – even Whites themselves!
People are confused, asking where this hatred came from. From the top. Ideas trickle down or rather, ARE trickled down. Money isn’t trickled down – except for special groups and purposes.
Who owns the media? Who decides what Universities teach?

“…biden is the best president ever.”
Come on now, they don’t think that. The Big Guy is the second best President ever – after the wondrous St. Obama. Ask them, I’m sure that’s what they will say – unless they’ve quit talking to you already, in which case, send them a Thank You card.
Nik,
Welcome! You should decide now what to tell your family about your preps. Based upon your comment, I am assuming you have preps. The people who wouldn’t let you attend Thanksgiving dinner because your aren’t vaxxed will be beating down your door for a gun, ammo, and food if this whole thing goes south.
Of course not, they’ve been fully culted.
Yet they voted for the oldest ‘whitest” regime led by Biden, Blinken, Garland, Nuland, Yellen, Mayorkas…
You were right to put the word whitest in quotation marks.
Our “representatives”, who are sworn to defend and protect the Constitution, are now telling us that freedom of the press, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, petitioning the government for redress of grievances and counting the votes in elections are all “threats to our democracy”.
Meanwhile, we are told that the citizens of Georgia are out rioting in the streets, wearing N95 masks and waving EU and Ukrainian flags, because their legislature tried to pass a law modeled on the US Foreign Agents Registration Act, and Georgians are incensed that their reps would try to make George Soros and the NED declare their stake in NGOs, universities and other institutions in Georgia.
So Georgians are rioting to stop transparency? Cool story, dudes.
Reminds me of when the Hong Kong rioters tore the place up because the legislature tried to pass an extradition law, after a Hong Kong man murdered his girlfriend and left her body in a suitcase in Taiwan.
The outrage! Or as our mainscream media told us “The brave freedom fighters oppose their oppressive government”, and then we were all supposed to chant along with them “No Extradition For Murderers!”
And in Georgia “No Transparency In Propaganda!”
And in Ukraine: “We Support Nazis’ Right to Kill Russians!”
But you can’t say “Make America Great Again”. That is Forbidden Speech, because only right wing white supremacists say things like that.
Also, all lives don’t matter, so don’t even think it.
Oh, I forgot. The right to a speedy and fair trial is also a threat to democracy, if it involves trespassers on public property.
Lock them up and throw away the key.
Jan. 6.
Yes, that is what I meant.
You have stated well why the US is going down. Think what the rest of the world thinks of this “bastion” of democracy today.
A Democracy, if you can keep it.
Doesn’t sound right [ correct ].
Under today’s standards the Constitution itself is a threat to “democracy.”
I would dare say 95% of all of our “representatives” should be serving life in prison for violating the oaths they swore when they took office.
Looks like Alec Baldwin is in even more of a bind: he just slashed the price of his little home in the Hamptons from $29m, to $24.9m, to now $22.5m. I hear that the house comes with a fully stocked walk-in gun safe.
httpsXX://www.msn.com/en-us/money/realestate/alec-baldwin-slashes-price-of-hamptons-home-once-more/ar-AA18q6D4
We should all chip in to buy this and we can promote Rust reenactments on the front lawn. That would be quite the draw!
….quick draw at that!
If Quickdraw keeps lowering the price pretty soon he’ll be underwater on the place. Oh, wait a minute that’s beachfront property. It’s all gonna be underwater in 2-3 years.
I playfully said “quick draw” because of the guns in the story.
Everything you outline is a nation in clear, steep, and comprehensive decline. This isn’t failure in one sector of society, it is cascading system failure in most every area of US society.
So, what next. Stock market crash in the next 2 months (as recently prognosticated)?
Perhaps the most turbulent political cycle for President, ever?
An increase in rioting/ “protests” which really started around in earnest a few years ago and appears to be persistent every summer.
War with China?
All these things are highly possible, and more, with the deranged & decadent elites we have running the US.
Regarding “war with China”, I read that there was an “officer exchange program” and a Chinese officer was taken around one of the secret command-and-control facilities – probably the National Military Command Center.
An American officer, wishing to impress his counterpart, pulled up on the vast screen before them a map of China, showing the hundreds of cities targeted by USAF guided missiles.
The Chinese officer wordlessly ran out of the room and vomited into the toilet.
“A flawed republic become a murderous empire” – Gore Vidal
When was that, Speedy?
Because it seems as if China is just now noticing that the US is agreement incapable, which seems ridiculously slow for people who are supposed to be so smart.
Them

stories of woe be gone
that’s what they said
around the fires of time
in books now burned
they said it in prose
and sang it in rhyme
at the very beginning
they said
the world was coming to an end
so we studied and learned
but the glaciers never rose
although that’s what they said
they said that what he did was evil
it’s true
an evil you just can’t ignore
because that’s what they said
they also said she was a witch and was wrong
but then
it all turned out to be pretend
as shown on TV
parleyed on the radio
and sworn to in print
but what do we really know
other than that’s what they said
it’s true we know
it came from
them
That will be the end of “Joe Biden.” Jim, I love your work, but I still don’t understand why you continue to believe that the guilty will be held accountable.
I wonder where they are going to put the Joe Biden Presidential Library when the time comes to establish one? They should do a to scale mock-up of his garage, complete with “confidential document” boxes right next to the actual ’67 Corvette Stingray.
Last I heard, the Obama Presidential Library they are working to build on the south side of Chicago is going to displace hundreds of low income people that otherwise don’t have anywhere else to go. How is that for equity? lol
When did Obama start caring about black people? Did you forget Obama is white?
Yeah, that’s why he’s bad. Black people are good.
The Wisdom of Kchien
According to my woke commie frenemie, Obama “looks white to me”. Of course my woke commie frenemie doesn’t recognize race “we’re all the same man”. Except when it comes to Russians and Ukrainians, “fuck man, russians are genetically inferior, totally different people from Ukrainians”.
Also, 2+2=5 – “It’s a free country man!”
These self-deluded cretins make up about one-third of the population…
Obama looks like a black version of his CIA grandfather to me.
To me, Obama looks like Alfred E. Newman, with a deep tan and a haircut.
Yes, I’m blacker than Obama, and I’m a cracker ass crackah.
Agreed. JHK’s articles are fantastic reads and I love reading them but JHK puts too much faith that there are still good and decent people somewhere in positions of power who can bring justice upon the heads of the countless traitors. It won’t happen. I hasn’t happened for decades. It just isn’t going to happen.
The mobs might get them when it all comes crashing down. I wouldn’t want to be a living politician when the proverbial SHTF. Lampposts will be decorated with political human crow feed over night.
I agree with you 100%. The reason why Biden is there is the total domination of the Gimme state. They control this country.
Is there any difference between the cartels and the DC Mob? Both get their revenue from illicit activities, both steal from the rich to give to the poor then steal from the poor re: taxes.
Two goals bigger government, and more citizen dependence.
Silicon Valley Bank is shut down by regulators, FDIC to protect insured deposits
The police were called to walk out a bunch of account holders that were requesting cashier’s checks. Is this any way to confidently run a financial institution? This seems like something straight out of 1929 Wall Street. Is this a foreboding of a larger crash to come?
httpsXX://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/silicon-valley-bank-is-shut-down-by-regulators-fdic-to-protect-insured-deposits/ar-AA18t7pY
@ cowbell81:
Yes, I think so.
FDIC is a trick for the working class; it only supports about 1/2 of 1% of all regular deposits.
cowbell,
Some of the depositors had millions in a single bank account. The FDIC only insures up to $250,000 per person on each bank account! That these people would manage their assets so sloppily is beyond belief. That is why depositors are panicking. If you had an account balance of $40,000, it’s completely insured. I’m not saying that would be a fun life experience, but there is a process (likely slow and inconvenient) to get your funds back. The people panicking had personal accounts or business accounts WAY above the FDIC insured limit. Anything over the limit is uninsured and likely gone!
nice
A beautiful thread here, an example of what I’m talking about, there’s a movement by men for men, to solve the issues men are facing today.
“Civilization depends on the strength of men.
But men depend on the loyalty of good women.”
https://twitter.com/FoundationDads/status/1633832580842938369?s=20
Some of this is a bit too old-fashioned from my POV, but I like that it comes from a place of not hating on or blaming women for men’s problems.
Predictably, some asshat makes the typical misogynistic crack:
“Loyalty is not among the virtues of women.”
I love the reply-
“Then your sample size is woefully small.”

Is getting divorced raped a purely male problem with nothing to do with women?
This is just women trying to deny all accountability as usual.
You don’t think a man should support his children even if his wife leaves him?
Of course. And he should get the kids and she should pay alimony. The Oath breakers must not be rewarded. Never sign a contract which the other party will be rewarded for breaking.
Such a betrayed man should at least have the Law on his side.
That’s assuming the man was betrayed, and not the reason for the divorce.
The ‘grounds’ divorce is becoming a thing of the past anyway.
You all assume it’s always the man’s fault and the woman always had good reason.
Not so. But the assumption itself speaks volumes about the basic problem which is feminine nature..
You assume that I assume that.
Hey, if you can’t make it to a Mickey D’s, Stewart’s now has their own version of tha Shamrock Shake.
I got an Amber Alert yesterday about an “armed and dangerous” man who kidnapped two children with the same surname as him. I call bullsh!t.
Default position – to age 7 mom gets the kids – age 8 and up dad gets em.
My preference dad always gets them unless he is physically abusive. Might serve as motivation to get slong.
I dont usually do this but in this case – should have been an a.
And here I thought you forgot the “h”
And the “c”? Is that one of those Freudian schlips?
In Victorian times, the dads always got custody of the kids in a divorce. I have never been able to find out when or why the courts changed their position on that.
I suspect it was because they saw how dads with custody raised their kids; namely, they were all going around starving and in rags, and frequently locked out of the house, due to dads not realizing that children require food, clothing, and shelter.
I have seriously known kids who were raised by their dads being locked out of the house or apartment. Many years ago, a kid who was about eight knocked on my apartment door at 1:00 a.m., to ask if my kids wanted to come and play. I explained that they were in bed asleep. The next day, my kids told me that his dad had locked him out. I’ve also known of a couple of other kids whose single dad locked them out of the house overnight. The kids are also always starving, as it doesn’t occur to Dad to buy groceries or otherwise provide food. This was true in every single case I have ever been familiar with where Dad had custody. When mom gets the kid back from Dad, the kid comes with nothing but the clothes they’re standing in, as they have no others. And the clothes they’re standing in have to go straight into the wash, because they’re full of cockroaches. And they also have head lice.
sounds like a story from a big, blue city.
The problem here, is most men don’t want them.
They want new meat.
Listen to how Ant Woman talks about men. No wonder her sons want nothing to do with her.
My daughter was invited to her friend’s house to play one time.
When I went to pick her up, they were both outside. It had started to snow, to boot.
I asked why and her friend said that her dad had to go somewhere and they were not allowed to stay home alone, in the house.
So he locked them outside.

The talk of apparitions (Schwab and Reid) reminded me of Macbeth and Birnam Wood, which reminded me that back when we used to have muscle cars, we used to have men with muscles.
I think we failed to see a foreshadowing.

Would a new conspiracy be born?
Did you know there are no bags at Walmert anymore? At least in Colorado. Yep, Nobags. You buy it, you bag it else bring the groceries in one-at-a-time.
They snuck that in gradually here, they didn’t want people to see that it was Walmart behind the no bags legislation, they wanted the government to relieve them of a cost of doing business, and they knew the environmentalists would be blamed.
If it were all about the plastic, they’d have switched back to paper.
Now Americans are reduced to walking around with loose groceries in their hands, like a not even fourth world hellhole.
What people started doing is using the plastic baskets in their carts, and loading them into their vehicles to take home with them.
So the stores qut supplying the baskets too.
Don’t tell the basket police, but I have a few stashed away in my garage. They make for nice storage. I actually have a really old one from Target – when was the last time you’ve seen one of those?
I wonder if you would get stopped by store security if you are walking around shoping with a backpack on, stuffing things in it?
I was in a CVS last year, the clerk was complaining that the store would not impose a no backpacks rule, because there was a guy in there who was furtively loading one up, she could tell.
The guy knew we knew.
When I go in Walgreens, they have fake security messages playing over the PA system.
Price Chopper used to have that too. It didn’t fool anybody.
Tweekers come in all the time to fill up.
CAN I HELP YOU
is all you can do.
Price Chopper.
Damn that brings back memories of growing up in Upstate NY.
LOL.
Upgraded now to Market 32!!
Price Chopper now upgraded to Market 32!
I wondered why Meijer didn’t have baskets for a few months. Cost them my business – except for the occasional run for Castello aged havarti cheese…
So what is to stop you from bringing your own bags into the store, loading them up with loot, and just walking out the door without paying? How would they really know? These stores are so short on staff and security, there is no way they can keep up with all the crooks.
Welcome to Biden’s America!
That’s why they started running after people whoo go through the self-checkout, demanding to see their receipts.
Some of the Walmarts have made one of the exits an emergency exit only, so you can’t leave before you walk near the few remaining registers.
Aldi’s has always been like that. It’s not really the kind of oppression you think it is.
Plus, you have to rent the carts. But you get your money back. It’s actually kind of cool, leading to acts of random kindness in the parking lot, causing many smiles and expressions of gratitude.
It is the oppression I think it is, because knowing what Aldi’s policy was, and knowing that I got cheaper groceries for waiting in long lines and forgoing a clean new sanitary bag, and packing the bags myself, I could choose whether or not I wanted to shop there or somewhere else that suited my preferences better.
I find it oppressive that the government can order actions that big business finds beneficial to them. If one of the major chains such as Shoprite up and decided they would no longer provide you with something to put your purchases in, they would lose customers to another chain.
When some entity with the clout of say, Walmart, asks the politicians to do them a favor and relieve them of a cost of doing business, at their customers’ expense, that’s my definition of oppressive.
When the government passes a law, I can’t choose to go elsewhere.
It’s similar to what they did with dish detergent. Two states pass the “no phosphates” rules under cover of the environment, right away the major manufacturers go ahead and switch formulas, and we can’t switch to another brand because they were unprepared to mmake the changeover, and thus went out of business.
That gave basically two giant companies a monopoly, and even if your state didn’t pass the law you have nothing to buy but the major brands.
BTW it didn’t solve the algae problem either, that was bs.
I nearly always brought my own bags to the market anyway, because I had the ability to plan when I wanted to go, and the supply of bags, and a car to keep them in, etc.
For some people it is just one more thing they didn’t need, especially for working families.
For awhile – up here anyway – using your own bags was verboten. “Covid” you know…
Cuomo ordered no bags, then had to put it on hold because people would be bringing dirty bags into the store with them.
I LOVE ALDI!
I wish they had those out here in the northwest.

“Anyone who knows anything of history knows that great social changes are impossible without feminine upheaval. Social progress can be measured exactly by the social position of the fair sex, the ugly ones included.”
-Karl Marx
Do you know when things really started to go – literally – to hell in this country? When women were given the right to vote separate and apart from their husbands. What a disaster. This is when the war against marriage and the family began in earnest – and it has taken less than 100 years for both institutions to be almost completely destroyed. And it all started with the damn suffrage, specifically the 19th Amendment in the United States.
Here’s the deal. Up until women’s suffrage, a man was the head of his marriage and his household, and his vote represented not just himself but his entire family, including his wife and his children. When men voted, they were conscious of the fact that they were voting not just for themselves and their own personal interests, but they were also charged with the responsibility of discerning and making the ultimate decision about what was in the best interests of their entire family. Wow. Isn’t that nuts? Men being . . . responsible?
As soon as the 19th amendment was passed, men were effectively castrated, and in many, many cases disenfranchised by their wives. No longer was the man the head of the household. No longer was he responsible for his wife. Now the wife was a “co-husband” at best, or a flat-out adversary at worst. The notion of a man making the final decision about what was best for his wife and family per his God-given vocation as husband and father was now over. Now all he was good for was bringing home the bacon – but even that wouldn’t last.
Women are made with a healthy, innate desire to be provided for and protected. I know this because I am a woman, despite the pair of enormous brass balls I have to carry around. Those are merely an anomaly. Back to the point, women want someone or someTHING to take care of them. For this reason, women tend to lean socialist, and are generally in favor of the expansion of government when the government promises to “provide” for them.
If you have read me for any length of time you could probably write this next paragraph yourself. Satan has used this healthy feminine dynamic, perverted by suffrage, to systematically replace men with the government as the providers in society. A woman no longer has any need of a man. Marriage no longer serves any practical purpose. A woman can whore around and have as many fatherless children as she pleases, and Pimp Daddy Government will always be there to provide. Men have learned well from this, too. Men can also horndog it up to their groin’s content knowing that the government will take care of their “women” and raise their children for them. Fathering children no longer binds a man to a woman in any way. Men didn’t vote to societally castrate themselves, and never would have. No – in order for this system to have come about, women’s suffrage was an absolute necessity. Women themselves voted the system into place which objectifies and devalues both them AND their children.
Next, the issue of disenfranchisement. I believe that the 19th amendment actually DISenfranchised more people than it enfranchised. Many, many married couples quickly found themselves voting against one another. The man would tend to vote for the more conservative platform, and the woman would vote for the more socialist platform. When this happened, the effective result was the nullification of BOTH individuals’ votes. What this did was massively reduce the voting influence of the married household, and magnify the voting influence of the unmarried – and the unmarried tend to be younger, and thus more stupid, and thus vote for big government. It was all part of the plan, kids. All part of the plan.
Jarek: Well said, Ann. Once men were reduced to bringing home the bacon, what if he got sick or laid off? Or if she brought home more bacon? She would rapidly lose interest in him feeling, “He’s holding me back.”
You acknowledge the secondary aspect of male irresponsibility, but keep the focus on the main problem of feminine rebellion, as enabled by the State. Most women will only acknowledge male failure, never their own, either personally or collectively. That’s certainly true of most of the female posters here.
Women were tempted by the Satanic State – and they fell. They then tempted men with the fruits of easy, no responsibility sex, and he fell too. It’s Adam and Eve all over again.
Men and women both started to ‘need’ each other less due to general modernization of civilization.
Voting had nothing to do with it.
BTW welfare came about in the first place because too many men were walking out on their responsibilities to their wives and kids.
Don’t put the cart before the horse.
By the way that sophistry with the voting bit would easily be solved by the man voting the way the woman told him to, couldn’t it?
Could single women and widows vote, in Barhardt World?
No, because women vote for Big Government because they want to be taken care of. And of course they want the same for other too – even those who don’t belong here and don’t deserve our hard earned money.
Men have better judgement in these matters – by far. No women should be voting! The small minority of women who do have commonsense will understand why given the nature of their sisters.
Women often have abundant commonsense in the mundane sphere of life. And even in the professions. I have been well served by female doctors for example. But it just doesn’t seem to scale or extend to philosophical understanding or political astuteness. One of the mysteries of the fallen nature.
That is your opinion of what women want, Jarek.
Barnhardt there pulled all that stuff about the effects of women’s suffrage out of her butt.
I don’t recall giving anybody a list of all my votes along with the fact that I’m female.
I agree with Jarek on this issue.
i agree with jarek on this.
feminism was financed by a line of people who were our enemies then, and are still our enemies.
feminism is very powerful manipulation – and there can be no doubt that mass manipulation is perhaps the most power force there is.
i’d be obliged if anyone can offer a beneficent example of mass manipulation.
@ Jarek:
Meh. Socialism programs that provide for women and children are indeed a case of the government assuming the role of husbands and fathers.
It is a mother’s responsibility to care for her home and children. It is a father’s responsibility to support his family. The single mom is on the job, performing her responsibilities. It’s the dad who has decided to evade his responsibilities. When the taxpayer pays for welfare and other social programs, he’s paying dad’s freight. Men tend to be in favor of such programs because it gets them (mostly) off the hook. The taxpayer pays the tab that dad should be paying. Women favor such programs because they have no alternative.
I once worked with a guy who had been ordered to pay child support. He didn’t believe he should have to support his kids and once remarked, “What’s wrong with welfare? Welfare works.” The actual beneficiary of welfare and social programs is dad, who has been largely freed from his responsibilities by the taxpayer.
If taxpayers don’t like paying dad’s freight in the form of welfare, the solution is simple: Demand that dads support their families. Take the burden of the taxpayers (both male and female) and place it where it belongs: on the dads.
The question is, how to do this. One way would be for dads to voluntarily support their families, and of course refrain from behaviors that lead to divorce.
They are not much inclined to do this, and there is probably no humane way to force them to. E.g., we could probably not round up all the deadbeat dads and put them in work camps.
At bottom, divorce, single parenthood, and welfare costs are really social problems–and, frankly, social problems caused by male irresponsibility. They could, collectively, solve this problem any time they wanted to.
As usual, Anthea brings the reality and knocks it out of the park.
Well done, Anthea.
Woman bring 70+ percent of divorce but it’s a purely male problem. Feminine “logic”. This is why women should never see the inside of a voting booth.
Women, by their nature, desire to appease and as such have a hard time uttering the most powerful word in the English language….”NO.” Women in politics can’t say no to this bleeding heart or no to that charity case and want to solve or resolve every issue that is brought to them.
Men on the other hand, before being feminized by our corrupted culture, do tend to be better able to say “NO” to the hard luck cases. Not only say “NO” but also tell them to get out and go take care of themselves.
Of course this is not inclusive of all women and is more of a generality of the characteristics of the sexes. I can see Beryl being a woman who would have no problem telling some jackass what to go do with himself. I know my wife doesn’t hesitate (she tells me that all the time).
Yes, they have no problem saying no to the men in their lives. And often to White men in general.
But some Black or illegal alien? Perish the thought! And this perversity is well play upon by our Elite.
True. Marx wanted to do away with marriage all together – as did/do the radical feminists. The State raises the child – which it gets from the bottom of a long black tube.
Will they be the same? No. That’s quite clear now. Will they still even be human? Debatable.
That’s twice now Vlad. the line is “Long glass tube.”
In the year 6565
Ain’t gonna need no husband, won’t need no wife
You’ll pick your son, pick your daughter too
From the bottom of a long glass tube, whoa
These are all good points, I am going to save the text of this essay for future reference when I need it.
I particularly like the following argument:
Next, the issue of disenfranchisement. I believe that the 19th amendment actually DISenfranchised more people than it enfranchised. Many, many married couples quickly found themselves voting against one another. The man would tend to vote for the more conservative platform, and the woman would vote for the more socialist platform. She has some sort of evidence, to back up her claims?
More people voting can’t possibly disenfranchise more people. That doesn’t even make any sense.
“Reduce the voting influence of the married household”? What?
A vote is a vote.
If you look at the people who come up with the big government plans, you will see that they are all married. How many single people are in Congress? How many single president have we had?
Cancelling each other’s votes is hogwash.
Have you ever been to an auction?
If you are outbid on an item does this disenfranchise, cancel or make your bid ineffective? A bid is a bid, but if you only get one [ as in voting ], xin loi.
There is no such thing as a household vote.
Two votes are two votes, any way you slice it.
There USED to be a household vote before 1922.
You’re right that it doesn’t exist now.
And that’s the problem. Or a problem.
But, it is what it is. Stick a fork in the West.
It’s done.
to paraphrase sinclair –
““It is difficult to get a (wo) man to understand something, when (her worldview) depends on h(er) not understanding it.”
Most married couples vote the same way. If they are political opposites there will be so many fights they will divorce.
And if that happens it’s totally the woman’s fault, we all know.
But still, they usually vote the same way.
That’s been my experience.
If they didn’t vote the same way, Barnhardt wouldn’t know anyhow.
Cowbell.
Bull bell is more like it.
Just laid a big one there.
I want to turn the clock back a lot more than 100 years, but I basically agree with all of this, and would vote to repeal the 19th if there was a vote on it. The cons have outweighed the pros.
What would be your “ideal” year?
Mine would be 1838-1842. The USA just seemed to be in a decent place nationally and in the world at that time. Society was still constructed in a logical manner where a man could make his way in the world.
Haha. Mine would be 11k BC. Before the introduction of grain.
Freedoms in USA 1840 were illusions. Esentially, it was board the industrial-capitalist train and lock your progeny into it, or swan dive off a cliff.
In 1840, the industrial north was drooling and scheming to orchestrate the spread of their industry across the Mason-Dixon…
If I had the rewind button in my hand, I’d take us back to 1786. Take Shays’s Rebellion nationwide. Maybe split into 2 countries: free and slave, with a mutual defense pact. Get a real constitution that limits government, not the people.
I’m not ready to sacrifice the past 10k years of technological progress. And I really dislike being cold.
If that fails – and I still have the reset button – I’d set back my birthdate forty years, so I could realize my long-deferred dream of WWII fighter pilot. I’d be long dead (technically, “MIA”) and not needing to fantasize my way out of this dystopia.
1950s, anytime.
Moderate president, millions of veterans with no fear creating tons of small business, the corporations being fed by the MIC, the rest of the world temporarily out of business, jobs, jobs ,jobs. Salaries ahead of inflation. Baby boomer families buying everything in sight.
Good times for our parents, the survivors of WW2.
Then 1963.
The 1890’s!!! Science was really starting to flow into engineering and medicine, and the Rockefellar crime family had not yet bought and set medicine on a destructive fascist path.
As long as you did not piss anyone off on your draft board.
Oops, you said 1842, not 1942.
Uhh, 1967.
I was driving an E type Jag and getting laid a lot….
Was it a red ’64 Type E hardtop with a white interior? If so, Santa got our Christmas wishlists mixed up.
Christmas of ’64, Newark, NJ: I climbed up on Santa’s knee and handed him a scrap of cardboard upon which I’d pasted several pictures of that red ’64 Jag. “This is all I want”, I told him.
My faith in Santa – and all greater powers – has been eroding ever since…
Christmas of ’66! (Dammit!)
I blame the glyphosate…
The Council of Elders, common in many Tribal peoples through out the Globe, is a perfect example of Republican government, sans the voting crap.
If you deserve respect, you will be listened to and emulated. You will attain unto Eldership when the time is right.
Amen. Only possible at the tribal scale.
How about city governments or school boards? How about the elders of a church?
“Council of Elders” certainly seems to keep the Mormons ultra-stable and ultra-prosperous. At a prodigious cost, admittedly, in terms of tolerance and freedom.
Following a breakdown, it might be a way to reorganize for survival. If the young’uns will listen. Which is a big IF.
In my fantasy Utopia, no one would run for office. Leaders would be selected from among the Electors, by the other Electors. Electors would pay the highest taxes, and be most obligated to serving the nation.
Citizens – who have obligations and the rewards that come from fulfilling those obligations, but no vote – would applaud their sensible, minimal government. And if they don’t like it: take the test and the increased obligations and taxes, and join the Electors.
Residents – who neither give nor take – will evolve out of their currently-encouraged stupidity, under the light of benevolent leadership. As their minds de-ossify, some will even see the advantage to evolving into Citizens.
Of course that world will never be – except maybe in one of the novels I’m not writing…
Satan obviously knew this. Couldn’t tempt Adam to eat of the fruit but he knew Eve could.
I’m sorry, the founders were onto something when only men who owned property could vote.
I love women, I really do, they are wonderful and I am married to one but they are just too emotional to think straight most of the time. Satan knows that the way to disrupt society is to destroy the women. The women after all are the gatekeepers of morality.
My late father always used to say “it’s the men who ask the women to get married but it is the women who say yes, or no.”
C’mon ladies, get it together. The world needs you.
when somebody without property can vote, and voting will get them property, they vote for whoever promises them property, which our form of government was forbidden to do, except for the idiot clauses that became the camel’s nose under the tent…
Article I, Section 8, Clause 3:
[The Congress shall have Power . . . ] To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes; . . .
Article I, Section 8, Clause 18:
[The Congress shall have Power . . . ] To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.
“I love women, I really do, they are wonderful and I am married to one but they are just too emotional to think straight most of the time. :”
So original!!
Jarek, you know better than that. You are not that ignorant.
That is not a quote from Marx.
Ok, what did Marx say about marriage? Got a “quote”?
I posted an entire article of Stalin’s about the elimination of the Kulaks and you refused to even acknowledge it. You are full of shit.
Your Kulak story was also complete bullshit.
Stalin was a communist, do you not agree? No communist would confuse a peasant with a capitalist. That is completely absurd. Yet that entire screed conflated capitalist and peasants.
No. That absolutely was not written by Stalin.
It was clearly written by some dumbass American who doesn’t know a communist from a fascist.
Just like the one supposedly written by a top CPC official that used CCP instead of CPC.
No Chinese official would do that. It would be like a member of Congress called the US the UAS. Would not happen.
If you really believe that Marx said ““Anyone who knows anything of history knows that great social changes are impossible without feminine upheaval. Social progress can be measured exactly by the social position of the fair sex, the ugly ones included.”
you are much stupider than I had thought.
You may say things I disagree with, but I never thought you were stupid.
But you think Karl Marx said “the ugly ones included”?
Then you are stupid.
Sounded more like an Ayn Rand quote to me.
But yeah, half of this, six dozen of the other…
I generally like Ann Barnhardt, being a social coservative, myself, but I have some doubts that disenfranchising women would serve any purpose.
I’m not so sure that a majority of men are really against socialism, since, as I mentioned below, its main effect is to free men from financial and social responsibility.
Actually, my main beef with feminism is that the only people who were “freed” by “women’s liberation” were men. It freed them from all social, sexual, and financial responsibility. Quite a few of them prefer things that way.
Ann Barnhardt assumes that men would vote against socialism. I’m not so sure about that.
I also tend to think that, if we got rid of the welfare state, the resulting hardships for women and children would be so dire that conservative men and women would practically be howling for the blood of all the deadbeat dads. So all you guys who hoped to be freed from both the burden of your families and the tax burden imposed by the welfare state would probably find yourselves staked out on an anthill (figuratively speaking).
Conservative men and women probably would vote to put all the deadbeat dads in work camps. One reason for their ire would be that they found themselves supporting their daughters and grandkids who had moved back in with them.
You’re still ignoring Barnhardt’s main point: the rebellion of women against the social order.
What should be done with these deadbeat mothers?
Most men shouldn’t have the opportunity to vote either.
Most people should just stay in their crib, fornicating with cheese doodles.
Yes, few men and no women.
I don’t know about that Jars. I’ve known a few women – only a few men too – that would be likely to pass the test.
I’ll agree with you that men and women are biologically and psychologically different. And that they both have natural roles to fulfill. And that both have largely abdicated those roles.
The human race needs two genders, no more, no less. And no coercion.
A lot of Bob Dylan hate here today.
Ive been reading ‘Behind the shades’ one of 9 –yes 9 books
C Heylin has writ about Bob.
A friend of mine lived right next door to him on point dume. Never saw him, just saw cars entering or leaving the 9? acre place.
so unlike madonna who liked to reportedly jog malibu roads, BD wasnt a walker.
i found this yesterday and got a kick out of it,
Bob dylan
Saw him in concert about 4 years ago.. never again!
He was very rude to his band, didnt recognize them, or give name callouts, or give them any consideration whatsoever.
Its was all about him and nobody else.
Hardest working man in Showbiz, doing 50 dates a year at age 75.
Similar to Tiny Tim, who actually DIED ONSTAGE, while doing a show in some 3rd rate club in Minnesota.
a black blues guy in the 1990s died onstage in Japan.
JJOHNNY GUITAR WATSON?
Bob is now 82 ish.
They do excel at appropriating the work of others – but they have that in common with all artists. The Beatles, Morrison, and others were influenced by the great Bluesmen. Of course they admitted it.
Did you ever hear of the guy mentioned above whom Dylan is said to have plagiarized?
Black and White gospel are said to have influenced each other, even though they didn’t play together in the Old South.
On the other hand, Bob freely acknowledged that Jimi Hendrix’ version of All Along the Watchtower is better than his. Perhaps Dylan sees music as something to be freely shared back and forth.
Paul McCartney went around humming a tune for people and asking them if they’s heard it before, to know whether or not he’d written it.
I read an interview with Dylan about 12 years ago, where he openly said he didn’t give a shit about any of the issues or causes he sang about and that he was in it just for the money and sang about whatever would likely sell best at the time. Probably true of lots of so called music ‘stars.’ Definitely true of the script readers people call ‘actors.’
People like to confuse artists with their art.
Look at a recent example- everybody loved Dilbert. Everybody wanted to really really like Scott Adams, and were so disappointed when they found they just could not.
disappointed? don’t know what reactions you are generalizing from, but he made an observation about not wanting to be near people who hated him first and foremost, because of his race and theirs.
i’m seeing and hearing gratitude for his honesty.
why is it so hard for intelligent people to see the race hustle for what it is? things generally were much better before saint obama.
lets you and him fight. its too transparent.
I wasn’t talking about his black people remarks. If you had been keeping up, you would have known about his feuds with the “anti-vaxxers”, and how even after he was proven to have made a poor choice, insulted us by saying we just guessed like he did, and happened to guess wrong.
He was really, really nasty about the people who correctly determined that the vaxx was not something we wanted.
Then there his response to “Shelley”. Shelly from what I understand was actually a fan of his, who was tiring of his scathing remarks around the vaxx.
Does this seem normal to you? To me it is vicious and unhinged:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bB1JfFI7iwA
BTW I think it is Adams who is failing to see the race hustle for what it is.
I’m not surprised, malthuss. Went to a Dylan concert circa 1990 and it was surreal. The band was horrible, the songs had been remixed so you couldn’t recognize the tunes, and you couldn’t understand the words. Dylan stood outside the spotlight and wore a broad-brimmed hat. He kept his head down so you couldn’t see his face. We seriously doubted it was him until my friend left her seat and wandered up the aisle (as many were doing) to see for herself. “It’s him,” she reported. And once she identified one song. I asked how, and she said she recognized a couple words. Bizarre experience all around.
He sounds really bored with the whole thing. Stars do get tired of singing the old songs, but most feel an obligation to their fans. He probably doesn’t – perhaps even enjoying treating them with contempt.
I don’t know what to believe at this point. Suburban Elk – who is almost always right – considers him a genius. Everyone else now (when did it start?) considers him a fraud. Last time we discussed him no one said any of this. Did something come out? Or is it a baseless craze?
From the first time I misunderstood his mumbling words, I thought Dylan was a hypocritical ass.
One of the few things that hasn’t changed in all these years.
“…you couldn’t understand the words.”
Remember, this is Bob “Dylan”.
In second grade I rode the bus with a kid named Bob Zimmerman, and had Willy Messerschmidt in my class. Yeah, I’ve lived a star-studded life…
I saw (at least parts of…) the documentary Don’t Look Back. Saw Bobby Zimmerman denigrating Donovan Leitch, “You’re not an artist. I’m an artist.” Or something to that effect. A couple wankers having a cock-fight, but I considered Dylan the bigger wanker, still do.
I bought The Times They Are A-Changin’ years ago. I’ve never been able to listen to it all the way through.
33 years ago..he is 81 I think…now.
One rumor is he lives in various mansions, he owns like 5 of them.
There’s a “Michael Jackson Sale” going on at the nearby Wal-Mart.
BOY’S PANTS – HALF OFF!!!
MJ wasn’t a pedo.
Another McMedia special, lapped up by retards.
Owl,
And the Pope ain’t Catholic.
He had other people’s sons sleeping over before he had any sons of his own.
If you ever watched his behavior you could see he was traumatized and never left the mental age of about 12.
He was a bizarre character, but I don’t recall ever seeing any hard evidence that he abused kids. He also didn’t have the molester vibe; but you could certainly see that he was hurting.
“The Federal Reserve is bailing out WalMart,…” may or may not be rumor. But, multiple reliable sources with relationships with banking are reporting that the ‘Fed’ is having to create and place double digit Billions of US$s into the USCorp’s banking system every night via reverse repos (repurchase agreements, i.e. $ substitutes). Given the latter, then the former is also likely true. Why just bail out banks, when the food system is also falling apart and requires bail outs to continue?
Also, even the bullshiting infotainment fake news people, i.e. cnn, are reporting the collapse, THIS MORNING, of Silicon Valley Bank. Real collapse, not rumor.
Additionally, I know three people, who are stupid enough to have substantial money in Vanguard, reporting that the fund is now requiring evidence of ‘hardship’ to get one’s money out faster than 3 months notice period. (BTW, it legal, and in the fine print.)
Got Gold? How bout Silver? We’re about to find out that If you can’t hold it, you don’t own it.
Personally I’m getting ready to cut a whole in the roof of my Mercedes 300SD in which to mount dual 50BMG machinegun turrets, put a steel cow catcher on front, and then buy a helmet with horns for driving around the local rubble.
“We’re about to find out that If you can’t hold it, you don’t own it.”
NDoc,
Yeah, and the corollary;
If you can’t defend it, you won’t own it…for long.
Oh, and did I mention that I load 50BMG? (call me)
Joking aside, Unfortunately, I only have a single shot 50BMG and have only shot it a few times due to stupid gun club restrictions . I lust after the Barrett semi auto BMG but can never justify the $12K or by now maybe $15K; actually my wife insists that if I buy the Barrett she gets to remodel our kitchen (NOT a fair trade for me). 🙂
Elysian: What I really really want is the Big Horn Armory’s Smith 500 Magnum lever rifle (my son and I collect and shoot Smith 500 revolvers) but the receiving time after paying the deposit is a minimum of SIX MONTHS!!! And my impatience nullifies me every time. Do you know of anyone that wants to sell one like tomorrow?
i read some on that in bstn’s gn bble, and loading for 50bmg sounds like quite a process – by the time you have an ideal chg worked up, you’re out of pow… but yea, that barrett – full mags could double as bicep workout gear.
Ndoc,
Sorry, nothing on the Big Horn…but I do have a Rossi lever in 45 Long Colt….
I might avoid the Barrett, considering it’s reputation for inaccuracy. I have an AMAC, supposedly will keep 1 MOA(Yet to print it at range)…the Barret 4-5 MOA. Owned the AMAC for 20 years…haven’t shot it much…The glass is a Unertl BV-20.
I just stepped outside this evening and saw my first rabbit of the season. So I guess I’ll have to get sharpened up again with the .22. It started jamming on me last fall, and I was unmotivated to solve the problem, as the gardening season was over (and I’d already shot most of the rabbits).
Anyone know what causes a gun to jam?
Semi-auto? Clean it. Everytime you shoot it. Same with any other firearm. The powder residues pit the riflings in all firearms.
@ Dave0907:
I was thinking that might be the trouble. I guess I need to go down to the gun shop and get some gun-cleaning stuff.
Anthea,
Does it have a magazine (round tube) or a removable clip? 90% of failure to feed issues usually involve the clip lips.
All you need is a shotgun – barely legal short barrel. Probably won’t even get a chance to reload.
You/we/I are likely to have, at the most, one gunfight. A gunfight we will lose – but take as many of the bastards with you as you can.
Ok neurodoc,
What a difference a week makes (or 48 hours if you’re Silicon Valley Bank)!
I have a much better appreciation of what you have been talking about for the last two months, starting with the original default in January, the extraordinary measures (incl reverse repos) undertaken by the Fed, and the fact those measures will only get us through June.
It sure is going to be interesting to watch.
Keep posting your intel!
“… The cosmic weirdness has left some observers… to wonder if we are under the sway of something supernatural, and not a good something.”
The Light… and The Dark… lives around and within each of us. Only we decide which is going to prevail in our own World. We can blame all kinds of things outside ourselves if we want to… but the biggest devil in our lives is the face staring back at us in the mirror.
Yes, we swim within currents of energy and positive and negative forces all the time. But there is one and only person who has final say over everything – we ourselves. It’s not the ‘supernatural’… it’s not the ever-present ‘Them’ and ‘The Other Side’ that we don’t personally like and plant the convenient ‘demonic’ label upon.
The World is always filled with A-holes and lots of other mother-effers who are intent on doing you in. But the answer is not to surrender to these malformed-spirits-without-good purpose. It is our place to say, ‘With all due respect… Screw You. You’re not going to ruin my experience of Life on this Green Earth. And you will have no authority over me and my house…’.
“… the epic sleepwalk of the Walking Woke ends with a jolt like unto a cattle prod upside the brain-pan.”
Let people amuse themselves with living lies and perversions and falsehoods. Let them just make themselves giddy with delight over that. Their time is gonna come. It always does.
There has never been a single lie that has withstood the test of Time. Lies and Falsehoods always go to The Great Scrapheap of Failed Thoughts and Beliefs down in the heated lower regions far below. Some go quickly, and others die a slow death after causing lots of pain and hardship. But the good news is… they will cease to exist.
So when you see this parade of deviants and losers and ne’er-do-wells and people who can’t remember what kind of plumbing they were born with and those who peddle death injections for fun and profit… just break into a sly smile and let them have their fun. Their clock is ticking. And all their lies have a shelf-life that is fast approaching.
And when They finally realize that karma really exists… the looks on their faces will be PRICELESS.
Sec. Blinkin hands the dude the ‘International Woman of Courage’ award, and gives him a big kiss on the 5 o’clock shadow lol! Jill Biden is delighted but the other women candidates, who appear to be real women, look peeved. Who wouldn’t be? They travel all this way only to be made fools of in Biden’s dog and pony Freak Show.
dog king freak show?
The Light… and The Dark… lives around and within each of us…
Conjure me up a nice cup of dark roast joe.
K-Chien: ‘The Light… and The Dark… lives around and within each of us…’
‘Conjure me up a nice cup of dark roast joe.’
We are all meant to have lives that are percolating and steaming with rich, full-bodied flavor and the intense, pungent aroma of peak freshness and without any of the unpleasantness of unwelcome aftertaste.
The reason the US blew up Gen. Soleimani, and everyone around him, on the airport road in Iraq is because he was there to facilitate a reconciliation between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and the US did not want that to happen.
But now it has anyway.

And then China called for the US to get out of Syria and stop plundering their resources.
Expect a major increase in propaganda aimed at China, Saudi Arabia and Iran.
Maybe Syria also. ISIS might make a comeback tour.

ISIS are diversifying, aren’t they, helping out in Ukraine?
Talking of Ukraine, George Galloway speaking at an Oxford Union debate ‘We should not fight for King and country’:
“Who are you going to fight for – Rishi Sunak? Have you seen Rishi Sunak? […] If you put Zelensky on Rishi Sunak’s shoulders you still won’t have a Napoleon. These are small men.”
youtube.com/watch?v=DvHIbpy1LWM
About 4 minutes in.
Sometimes the camera men screw up with Rishi and they do a wide-angle shot.
He literally looks like a child.
Zelensky could have been a Shire extra for Peter Jackson.
I’ve never quite taken to George Galloway – especially since he made an idiot of himself on national TV pretending to be a cat in the Big Brother house – but that’s a good speech and he hands the parliamentary warmongers their arse on a plate (Tobias Ellwood, whom he addresses, is chief of the 77th Brigade, which spies on British citizens). Not that they care, obviously – they’re only obeying orders.
I find it interesting, in the USA we have a preference for tall men as heads of state, or anything really.
The average American man is somewhere around 5′ 8″ or so.
In a couple of countries with some really huge men, and even women, you have two men, Zelensky and Putin, who have to be way, way smaller than average. It doesn’t seem to be a thing over there like it is here.
Hilarious.
Well, that is pretty huge!
Jim Cramer Recommended Buy SVB Financial stock: https://americanyellowvest.wordpress.com/2023/03/10/jim-cramer-fails-again/
Never have understood how that assclown has amassed so much credence. He’s the prototypical carnival barker/used car salesman.
I recall that in the 08-09 crash, Cramer was on his show raving about how great a buy Bear-Stearns was at somewhere near a couple bucks. He said that ‘anyone with a brain will mortgage their home and buy all they can buy.’ Two days latter the stock was around 1cent and then GONE into stock hell. Cramer, like everyone else still on CNBC is a whore for wallstreet.
opposite effect – i think somebody ran a paper game with investments exactly opposite what cramer said…
results indicated it should not have been a paper game…
justanotherguy,
Yes, its as close to an inverse Jim Cramer fund as they can practically execute without outrageous expense fees.
Ticker: SJIM
With $170 billion in deposits, Silicon Valley Bank ran into a cash crunch.
Cramer referring to Sam Bankman Freid’s bitcoin hedge fund: “Buy! Buy!, Buy!”.
Htruth,
I think its important to put his recommendation into context…. he only recommended it one month ago!
Geesh, when he is wrong, he is really wrong!
See Joy Behar up in the air
Flying her candle stick, raising your hair,
The dispossessed crying and shopping the shelves
That are empty cuz humpty broke all of the elves.
But listen, that scraping you hear from the door,
It harbings a thing never seen here before.
Stampeding wokesters and antifa clowns
Soldiers in dresses and no-baby’ towns.
See on the hill where the enemy watches
See in the gutters they raise their debauches.
Approved by the message of old uncle Sam
Destruction of freedom caught on your dash cam.
But wait, is that Satan, has he been reborn?
Ressurected, injected to kill the preborn.
5 demons cry out to their god-masturbater
Asmodeus, tits and appendages-mater
Mamon and Amon, Ceribus too,
The Lord of the flies and Moloch in blue.
These are your rulers, your kings and your Gods.
Lucifer crowned them with babies and frogs.
And their main human Counters, though hidden a bit
By the 6 corporations held in His bit,
Are billy goat gates, tedros a creepin, shwaub in his writings
and organized edens, all of the blackmailed
Adrenichrome mob.
Who will be vanquished by our great one God.
But you’d best prepare, for the bank runs are here
And much more to come, later this year.
Nice work, anmari!
Thanks Mare. Inspired by JHK & that gr8 poet upstream!
I meant to go with politicos but my ‘wheelhouse’ took me off in the usual direction.
You got the metre right, too.
That is something most CFN wanna-be poets always screw up.
Agree!
Agree to the agree.
Pretty good, anmari, though I have no idea who Joy B is.
Count your blessings.
Kudos!
Stunning. Anmari, we never knew ye.
Don’t forget to adjust your clocks on Saturday night for Daylight Saving’s Time! When is Congress finally going to do something and get rid of this outmoded ritual?
What about instead of East, Central, Mountain, and Pacific time zones based on longitude we instead did Northern, Mid-South, Southern, etc. time zones based on latitude?
Time zones based on latitude?
Sure, if we can convince the Sun to orbit the Earth north to south – or south to north.
On the tropic of Cancer it is always a good time. For now.
Hey, don’t tell the Democrats, they will actually try to make people believe that is possible. Men being women, and vice versa you know….
Before we can convince our star to orbit Earth, perhaps we should start in small increments and first get Earth to simply spin north-south.
Go ahead, think small. See where that gets ya…
Swing a few multiverses around each other?
Now you’re talkin’.
I am quite sure that this is the last time we will be changing clocks.
I thinkk Congress passed a law that we are staying on Daily Saving Time.
This could be viewed as a form of transtemporalism . . .
Make that Daylight . . .
I believe it was tabled in the Senate, I could be wrong. I hate paying attention to this stuff, because I am reminded of how absolutely moronic and drunk with power our so-called “leaders” are, and how they cannot be trusted at all with that power.
They called that thing Daylight Protection or some such crazy thing. Fits right in with their new missin as Big Brother.
That was the excuse on the wrong side of the Berlin Wall. They were keeping the people safe.
Here is a hint for the people who think Daylight Saving Time is a good thing-
It doesn’t add any hours of daylight to the day.
Too those who say it’s about which e nd of the day you want to have more daylight-
It doesn’t work that way.
What is the MAXIMUM amount of daylight at the end of the day that it adds?
How long do you get that extra light, DUE TO THE GOVERNMENT’S INTERFERENCE?
THIS is an IQ test, and everybody gets it wrong.
BTW serious farmers do their work early in the morning.
At the time in my like I did the most gardening AND had a full-time job, guess what? It was Saturday morning, my day off, that you would find me out in my yard putting things right.
It gets HOT by the end of the day.
Does anybody think that it was adults just getting off work who maintained the Victory Gardens?
Has anybody heard of a thing called children?
I belive that irregular schedules that our younger generation have been forced to work, are a contributing factory to the obesity epidemic.
We KNOW that abrupt time changes are bad for humans and animals, we just haven’t quite figured out how bad.
I don’t know whether it’s the action, or the stupidity that bothers me worse.
Once again, Daylight Saving Time does not make the day longer.
How long ago were people celebrating Midsomer? Did they need a law to make day and night equal in length?
End of rant.
Nice rant! Agreed all!
I know Homer Simpson blamed farmers for daylight savings time, but Homer’s not always right.
Real farmers don’t give a damn what time it is. And neither do their crops or livestock.
That’s city folks nonsense.
No shit. I remember one time talking with a patient about the absurdity of DST and I said something about it supposedly being for farmers, and he just gave me a look. Oh. I said “Are you a farmer?” and he said “Yes.”
OK, then. Chalk up another farmer against daylight saving time.
I’ve had similar rants about DST.
It was always only about control.
I would be very happy if that were true. I hate this song and dance. For starters, it messes up peoples’ circadian rhythms. Personally, it messes up my dogs’ medication times.
I’d be very happy if they just ended DST, instead of keeping the unnatural time forever.
Definitely.
My dogs also hate DST. Spring forward, not as much, but… still.
It’s throwing me off too. I am not usually on the computer this late at night.
My Wild, perhaps, Reckless Theory is that “They” practice Numerology and Necromancy, and They summon dark, evil spirits.
The Na…zi’s and Skull & Bones Yale University cults were/ are heavily into the Occult. I once visited the Skull & Bones “Tomb” at Yale University, and I had a mystical experience there. True story…. I walked up to the entrance of the Skull & Bones “Tomb”, and there were weird hieroglyphs written vertically on both sides of the door, one of which was the Roman numeral 3 and an image of an owl. One set of writing, I recall translated as “We Own You.” The “You” was an effigy of a small sheep (“ewe”). Nuts….
“ “The cosmic weirdness has left some observers, such as the formidable and admirable Naomi Wolf, to wonder if we are under the sway of something supernatural, and not a good something.”
Speaking of the Occult and Numerology, I think that today (March 11th or 3-11-2023) is the anniversary of the big Fukushima Nuclear Meltdown?
I think that “Fuku” in Japanese means “Lucky”?
Go figure….
Well, today is the 10th actually. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.
Ever heard of that Japanese superhero, Ultraman? If recalled, he’s from Fukushima. Fukushima might mean lucky in Japanese, but in English, it means fuked.
Fukushima = “Blessed Island”
Apparently much like our blessed diversity.
So, most people on this site are smart. They use big words also.
Now, use your smarts and tell me when the lid will finally come off this Country! Will the market crash in the near future? Will we have a terrible false flag operation?
And I would like to know what your preferred personal protection is discounting birth control.
I like a revolver but I’m sure some of you are into other heaters!
Don’t be bashful…let us know!
I think the answer to your first questions is this year. Market crash may happen next week. Or it’ll just be a scary deep correction that somewhat rebounds in April. Then my bet would be the crash happens in September. Definitely a nasty recession begins now. Probably already underway, but it takes a few months for the numbers to confirm.
I like a 12 gauge shotgun. The non animal hunting kind. Just barely legal on the barrel length.
I am not a market guy, but I do know that something big has to happen soon. The ship cannot be righted without capsizing first, or at least taking on a whole lot of water and losing half its crew, passengers, and cargo.
After the “pandemic” orgy of free government money for all who were stomped into poverty, forced out of their crappy jobs that barely paid the bills before…for three years now in many cases, can only result in an end to logical financial functions.
Add to this that the last drips of the free “pandemic” money officially stops everywhere within a matter of weeks around the nation, if it hasn’t already. Within days or weeks of that you’ll have the poor folks unable to get the lowest of essentials (people were barely getting by with the extra help anyway, and far too many of whom used it to buy crap like TVs and take-out food instead of stocking up or saving at least a little.
They will be very angry, rightfully or not, depending on their situations.
Banks are teetering (or even collapsing, as happened today with SVB). If this trend continues, even those who have plenty of money will begin to get angry, and also scared to become like the filthy masses they feel superior to because their bank accounts prove their status year after year. Some will stay that way, many will drop like flies into quick ruin, themselves only sustaining opulent lifestyles with a few months cushion before missing payments on the Land Rover(s) in their five-car garages once their five-figure paychecks stop coming.
Inflation is soaring, rent increases are through the roof, food/gas/diapers, everything will suddenly be the target of even more theft than is already taking place since “covid” created a new generation of feral youths seeing no consequences for their actions. People filling their gas tanks and driving off will become commonplace, as will people just walking in and sacking convenient stores for cigarettes and booze (which of course happens now in many places…but think daily, and in Des Moines, Boulder and Fargo). You can take it from there…
Biden will tell everyone it’s all going to be okay, and not to panic. The government will put it all back together, we just need to all work together. No one will believe him.
Remember, we’re supposed to be ashamed of ourselves now, and not have pride in our country or our increasingly-disintegrating common bonds.
Firearms will become much more important to those tens of millions who never actually thought they might really have to use them outside of the range. Individual amateur thieves may be repelled from suburban residences…once or twice. But more will be back, and many will be larger and more organized. Good luck w/that.
So in short, a lot of kinetic civil unrest is very likely, and probably by this summer. Just my $1.05, but hey – you asked.
