I knew nothing about Vance other than him being a Republican and under 40 years old. That was enough but I snagged a copy of "Hillbilly Elegy" anyway. Now I am a supporter of "Vance for President in 2028" even though I plan to vote for Trump in November.

His official story is appealing but his ties to the global surveillance company Palenltir which is part of the lawfare against ordinary people blob are appalling.

Yes indeed. His rapid rise to power and connection to a surveillance contractor for the DoD—not to mention his flip from being a never-Trumper—give me pause.

I don’t know, but I understand the early never Trump sentiment. I was part of it. I’m a political junkie and still fell for it.

I read and saw the news coverage when he announced his presidential run and was amazed by the stupid things that he supposedly said. Finally it got so bad that I did some research….. and found that almost everything was misquoted and slanted against him.

I was shocked at the lengths to which they went to make him look bad ,

sometimes even making up stories from whole cloth.

Been a supporter ever since.

LOL, I am not a never Trumper, just objective, and objectively Vance has unsavory Silicon Valley ties, should I pretend those aren't real, like the woketards pretend biological sex isn't real, because feels?

But you weren’t elected to the US Senate! Such a one should know the players.

Ok, but can he be any worse than what’s there? He MAY have ties to the security state (which if he believes in the Constitution might be a good thing), but the people running things now are borderline (?) fascist.

I have no further comment when you talk about the security state in a positive light.

You may want to re-read what I wrote. I didn’t say anything positive about it, in fact, I said that its leadership is borderline (?) fascist.

I don’t believe that it was a compliment ….

“He MAY have ties to the security state (which if he believes in the Constitution might be a good thing)”

Because he would dismantle the security state?! lol

Mark, I’m continuing my tradition of not voting because my last residence in the USA was in California, and my vote would be recorded in Californian—a one-party state run by Comintern. It makes Mos Eisley seem like a place of safety and virtue!

JD Vance was groomed for this position long ago, in my opinion. As well as Trump, who I voted for twice.

Never again will I vote. What a joke…on all of us!

Wow. You'll show them - and the rest of us. It's OK to let Harris win because there's really no difference between them. Indistinguishable. Right?

I will vote because I know if I don't that like the masses that aren't even registered, my vote will be used as THEY choose. It's how dead people vote too. I served as an election judge twice and was shocked by the number of long dead people still registered, and even some people that were dual registered.

They used the census for late night mail in ballots last time.

I assume you voted for Obama based on his memoir?? Dreams From My Mamaw is an inferior memoir and so you should go back to judging candidates based on how than hosted their reality show…so that means RuPaul in 2028!! 😝

I read Obama's memoir and could tell it was ghostwritten BS. If Hillbilly Elegy is ghostwritten, it was ghostwritten by a far better class of ghostwriter. If inferior, you mean that it doesn't pander to your white liberal sensibilities, why would that (or your trashing of it) mean JS to me?

Sure, that’s exactly what we need as president…another memoirist with a bunch of different names! And Trump has the shallowest American roots of any president which paves the way for Kamala. Trump’s children aren’t even eligible to run for president because Ivana was in America illegally and spreading her legs at Studio 54 while whacked out on cocaine and qualuuds.
