A fair point, but wrong nonetheless. The pagan Romans were a commercial people and the Jews thrived there as they have done here. But they hated the Romans as they hate us. Competition. No good sportsmanship when it comes to life and death issues.
They Romans even let them practice their own religion for the most part, unlike the earlier Greeks. Of course it's natural to want to be free. And the Herodians weren't really Jewish.
The Jews hated the Romans because the Romans represented multi deism in a society that believed in stoning people for blasphemy. The Romans were secular inside a society that was NOT. More Jews lived outside of Israel at the time than in, with one exception, Passover and other festivals when all the Jews wanted to return to Jerusalem to forgive their sins. The Romans dreaded these festivals as they always led to trouble. One Passover, they even allowed themselves to kill an тАЬinsurrectionistтАЭ at the behest of the Jewish leadership. That act changed the world.
Jewish ethnocentrism has been the bane of their existence since the Hebrew people were invented by God. God has always wanted them to carry His message to the world, that is why He planted them right in the middle of the world. Instead, ethnocentrism has blocked the missionary effect from the Jews. God tried to open things up through the Jewish nation but their leadership tried to kill that attempt. Thank God that Their attempts to squelch JesusтАЩ message have met with failure.
It's not white people they hate so much as the Christianity that comes with them. Christianity came to the world via the white man.
