E - I always appreciate your comments and opinions, but I'm not sure I follow you. The way I see it - just me - is that no matter the relative sacrifice or relative coercion, a mother protects her child - at all costs.

"Sorry honey, the man denied our exemption request, roll up your sleeve." This surely isn't what you're saying, is it? Please say no. Tell me I've misunderstood you.
What I am suggesting is that a person, single mother perhaps, working two jobs and not able to afford a babysitter, is being told that her child cannot attend school, or cannot ride a school bus, etc. without a shot which, at the time, might not have been recognized as deleterious, would be a difficult decision. There are many people who did not have another choice. The shot or quit one of my jobs and go on welfare? Move out of our efficiency apartment to one on the other side of the tracks? Section 8 with Jamal as a neighbor?
OK, I see what you're saying. Actually, I had a personal experience - similar.
A friend of mine, 54 years old, a nurse, beautiful, vibrant girl, living with her aunt, giving her aunt end-of-life care. At nights, she worked 3rd shift at the County Jail, treating prisoners.
In order to keep her job, she was forced to take the kill shot. She's no longer with us, died in 2022 - turbo-breast cancer, diagnosed at Stage 4, eight weeks later, she was gone. No history of cancer in her family.
So, yeah, she had a choice - hindsight (from heaven even) is 20/20- but she might make a different choice now. RIP Elizabeth Anne Borgman, I love you.
Just one of my friends gone, family too. I will not let these fuckers rest. Ever.
It is literally the only way to get their attention and protect ourselves from future mass murder by injection, barring a lot more people like Luigi Mangione making it known that they have less than zero faith in our "justice" system.
Or worse, move to a different state. Possibly without family nearby for support. The number of states reducing even religious exemptions is sadly growing.

No, Ron,

This issue could be almost existential.

I agree with you Ron. We must not let pfuckers like Pfauci rest, ever.
We must all PUBLICLY call for their supremely well-justified hangings every day:

Damn.
Could have gone all day without reading that.
I look forward to the day those responsible for this are rendered harmless.
Blessings on Elizabeth Anne Borgman.
Thank you.

Who knows how many good years she had left, 10, 20, 30? Maybe only a day, life is fickle. The ones you love, hold them close.
Beautiful comments for your 'E'.
Great that you had the time with her that you did.
Looks as though the anniversary is coming up...celebrate the time that you did have.

E - it is existential - that's my point.
