Remember that Trump is a builder, and he's only in the process of leveling the existing decrepit structure. There's a bit of grading going on and a foundation is being built. I agree that the type of deserved justice we'd all like to see may never fully be realized.

But if the end result is a more perfect country with a greater and wider understanding of the constitution, with a newfound respect and adherence to the rule of law, I will be content.

You are 100% correct.

What is being determined right now is who is the supreme law enforcer. Who gets to interpret what the law says as the politics makes everything so nebulous? Who is Trump’s, and Congress’ and Robert’s boss, even between the three? Who makes the decisions?

The Constitution is purposely silent on this, as it was built to have no one in that position. The FF were fearful of the control by England that they wanted no part of an ultimate decision maker, ie the King. Most of them hated the idea of an enforcer/executor role in the government, but the failure of the Articles of Confederation failed so badly (rule by committee) that the presidency was incorporated into the Constitution.

So the balance of power concept was initiated. It has been argued about for 200+ years, which is exactly what the FF wanted. Today, Trump wants control because he is power driven, but also because he sees what a mess the Leftist power reign of 40 years has left the country in. He also sees how the two other world powers are catching up rapidly and will soon pass the USA in influence, because they “can make a decision”. It is really a test of whether rule by balance of power can compete. The American experiment is under siege. If some sort of co-operation cannot be obtained by DC to allow necessary changes, then this contest may have an undesirable end.

Could it be that in a world of continuous change, the Constitution may be ham stringing the USA?

The executive branch has the military. The Court of Last Resort. Does Trump have the military? Is he undoing the unspeakable damage Obama did to it? If so, he can deal with the traitors if he really wants to.

John - I read an interesting piece during the past week, calling Musk "Dark MAGA", thus his black hat, and that he and Peter Thiel, and the other technocrats put the screws to DJT, prior to the 2024 election, in order to get their support, and that now they are driving their agenda.

Seemed a little far-fetched, but it made some sense to me. So, as JHK is fond of saying, I'm standing by on that one, but haven't dismissed it yet either.

If I can find the link, I'll post it, ZH, I think. Any thoughts? Does the idea make any sense, based on where we are? The lack of taking a more serious hard line with these pricks?

What if it is we the people's duty to make the ultimate decision? I believe Thomas Jefferson said "That whenever any form of government becomes DESTRUCTIVE of those ends, it is the right of THE PEOPLE to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.. it is their RIGHT, it is their DUTY, to THROW OFF such government, and to provide new GUARDS for their future security."

It is US who have failed our duty to preserve what the FF gave us. It is our ROLE that has been abdicated to the demons in DC. Those demons now so numerous as to render us surrounded as Custer was at Little Big Horn.

You do not get what I said. My point is history will judge whether the world situation, think social media, internet and AI, will just pass the very slow Constitutional process by. IOW, can we change course fast enough to keep up? Add on that the 2 party system has us at an impasse. Doing nothing, as we are doing currently, may be fatal.

The Constitution did not create a true Republic. A pure republic requires that the individual take responsibility for himself and his neighbor by a personal daily choice. The DC goobermint itself is an indirect democracy which is not a republic. In an indirect democracy the people pretend to elect leaders who can make laws without our consent because they are no longer titular in authority, but have power. That power may be restricted by constitutions and contracts. It is still power and power corrupts. The mere idea that 51% of the people can rule over [ overrule ] the rights of the other 49% is already usurpation of the Republic.

Good post. Yes, the action in Dc and all Deep State locations is, now, who is the majority and the minority. Both sides are capable of cancelling out the other, hence no direction for the country.

I am watching the hearing of the Leak. What a shit show. Five officials on the administration being grilled and praised by a bunch of show stealing clowns and no real statement of why the reporter was allowed access to the situation room conversation. I wonder if anyone may have considered that the leak was intentional, to let all the involved parties what was being considered to strike the Houthis. That technique is used “all the time”.

A huge question right now is what is going to rise from the divisions in the country. Can the 51-48% split long endure? Lincoln faced the same situation in 1861 and the Civil War was the result. Are we heading in the same direction today? I will tell you one thing, watching the clown show, the Deep State actors do not care.

You're exactly right about that. Good at marketing, but Gene is a TERRIBLE singer. Paul Stanley is the REAL DEAL. I once got to see him perform with his own band, some years ago. Man, was that a show! He owns the rights to a lot of the KISS catalogue, so he performed them as well as his own stuff.

He also, like I am, is a visual artist. I got to see some of his paintings at a gallery in Lahaina, Maui. Well, that's all shot to hell, now that the whole town burned down.

During the covid lockdown bullshit, he started up a new band, R&B, if you can believe it. Went out and performed anyway, fuck the lockdown bullshit. Good listening.

The only building he can lay any claim to building is Trump Tower, which left hundreds of small-business contractors out of pocket, while he crewed the construction with illegal immigrants (who were also screwed for pay) and he overpaid for the cement because he was required to buy it form a Mafia outfit. I will how ever tell you that a large percentage of businesses fold we have a family friend started several new businesses in a row and they all folded his last attempt made him a millionaire.

First Year: Around 20% of new businesses fail within their first year.

First Five Years: Approximately 50% of businesses fail within the first five years.

First Ten Years: Around 65% of businesses fail within the first ten years.

First 15 Years: Only about 25% of new businesses make it to 15 years or more.

First 20 Years: Nearly 80% of businesses fail within 20 years.

Again, Google is your friend something I doubt you have very many of at the moment.

Going out on a limb to say you never started a business and have never cut a paycheck for someone else.

SO Affected and angry you must be a joy to be around every time Trump gets up and starts talking.

Just an observation. We had a ghost president for four years, presented to the public by a group of Left wingnuts, and no one seemed to want to notice. Just exactly how many of the people living in DC are necessary? IMHO, we could fire 50% of the bureaucracy and no one would notice.

An example, the IRS converted to an internet inquiry system a few years past. Why? To be more productive, IOW to serve the public better with less people involved. Yeah, right, so Biden goes out and hires thousands of new IRS agents. DC is a sham, a very dark perverted, insidious sham.
