I agree with Real Mary Rose and her comments on taxation. I still pay my taxes even though I despise it. Why? Because I don't want to lose the home that I worked for 20 years to pay for. Yeah, isn't America great. In America none of us will never own property.
Ironically, if Americans could unite and if all refused to pay their taxes we could really flex the muscle of the sovereign. Unfortunately, we are too divided by political tribes, race, ethnicity and so much more. People cannot come together long enough to agree that in America we should be able to own property free and clear of government intrusion. Every American should agree on this but they don't. Go figure.
Funny you should write this today. i watched two You Tubes yesterday where the theme was that there is no United States of America. We are, in our boundaries, fourteen different ethnicities, or religions or colors in at best a confederation without state boundaries. Examples:
Southwest, SoCal, New Mexico, Southern Colorado and Southern Texas, Latino and catholic.
Northeast , more affiliated with the socialism of Eastern Canada, secular.
Midwest , Germanic and conservative
Northwest Bleeding down from the Canadian socialism, secular.
Appalachian Scottish Irish refugees from English purges in 1700s.
Black Belt self explanatory, includes DC.
Minnesota area. Scandinavian love of government control.
Utah areas No surprise Mormonism.
Rocky Mountains, north. Independent pioneers with little love for government.
Rust Belt Germanic and conservative.
These are majority grouping, not totalities.
Interesting, it shows though how fragile this union might be and how many factions it could divide into.
