Ultimately, as with so many expressions it all comes down to intent. But the next time a Christian says, “I’ll pray for you,” notice how the sentence is used. Is it a kind expression of love and concern, or is it what it is meant to be ~ a slap in your face?
"I am superior to you. I know the truth - you are ignorant! I have truths available to me that you are not entitled too!
For me, the bottom line is always Truth.
The question must always be, Is it True?
That is the only way to make the best choices for ourselves, as well as our society.
Even the most inoffensive religious belief systems introduce unsupported claims and take us away from the path of Truth, robbing us of the ability to make the best decisions in our lives.
Everyone is born atheist. Religion has to be taught.
