Oh, but they still can be - good old Hunter can be subpoenaed to appear in Congress and/or be questioned by the FBI about these matters, and he can’t refuse to cooperate or he goes to jail for contempt or obstruction (because he has immunity), and if he lies, that’s perjury - ALL crimes committed AFTER the pardon, and thus not covered by it. A definite double-edged sword. As the Chinese say, “Be careful what you wish for, you may get it.”
Yeah, turn on the heat and make him sweat at least. But the charges were so light to begin with that more can be found if Trump and his people are serious. But of course that would open a can of very big worms so it won't happen. The preparations for war were ongoing during Trump's term. Did he not know or did he not care or care to know?
