They weren't counting on Joe's dementia taking an upturn so fast (divine intervention?), and they didn't have any other viable candidate that they felt could win against Trump, so they went with the tried and true of color and gender. Hence, we have Harris.

I disagree, he was a placeholder there to run out the clock, until Kamala was the only available choice. Biden was a trojan horse, and Kammie was NOT a poor choice hastily made. She is entirely deliberate, the Manchurian dictator who will complete Obama and Soros's Revolution in time for 2030.
Remember the 2020 primary season and the Dem debates. Biden was chosen because he was the most moderate of the crazy Leftist candidates of which Kamala was one.
