Nick Johnson posted an interesting Youtube video about the presidential campaign in PA. Apparently the Amish are finally mobilizing to vote in the November election. After a long tradition of deliberately staying away from politics and voting, many members of the Amish community are deciding to cast their votes, many for the first time.........for Donald Trump.

No wonder, the Leftist Socialists hate independence of anyone. The Amish are an antithesis of the Leftist socialist dreams.

Stalin killed millions of Ukrainian farmers when they fought their family based farms being turned into communes. Later, the government allowed the individual farmers to have a small plot of land to grow their own crops, independent of the communes. It wasn’t long before the farmers started farmer’s markets in the towns. Not too much later, the plots out produced the communes. A story to tell your socialist supporter friends.

Another fictional account of note is in Michener’s “Centennial” where a sugar beet farmer named Brumbaugh was trying to find a reliable source of seasonal label for his farm. He tried Blacks and Indians, too unreliable, Japanese and Chinese, reliable but they saved their money and bought their own farms. His solution was Mexicans, reliable and skilled farm hands whose roots remained in Mexico. Over time, their families moved into the USA and they stayed.

Much like today?

I was raised picking chiles and tying grapes with those families. I have a lot I could say on this. (Plus, our beloved neighbors were actual Okies who came to pick fruit in California.) I've talked to farmers from Maryland to the San Joaquin Valley, some used to drive down to Mexico every season and pick up the same families every season.

Two quickies: in grade school we used to go by the burning busses where Cesar Chavez's United Farm Worker's union thugs stood with baseball bats. He hated seasonal migrants, since he was born in Indiana.

When 'La Migra'- ICE immigration or Border Patrol would come by the ranch in Nevada, we'd hide our Mexicans inbetween haystacks, piling up bales to block off the ends and making it look like one solid stack. They'd offer to buy us beer and take us hands to the Mustang Ranch, the local brothel! (High school kids had to enter in the back.)

The Holodomor Ukrainians were actually descendants of the Anabaptist Amish.

The glorious Tsarina Catherine, our great ally, requested thousands of them from the American colonies to teach her nation how to farm the rich soils of the Ukraine, so profound was their skill.

The Cheka goons weren't just killing farmers. As per their historic wont, they were slaughtering Christians.

Yes, it's inevitable. The question is whether it will be under the tyranny of the International Bankers as in Marxism or an elected National Elite as in Fascism or National Socialism.

I think we should do an annual televised Nerf Bat stadium beatdown for all interested policy-makers. Whoever is left standing gets to make the rules for the next 12 months. And gets as many hot dogs from the concessions stand as they please on the way out. About as fair as any other system.

No matter the "game", individuals will game the system.

As individuals, we just need to deal with the hand we are dealt, and game the system to the extent of our environment and abilities.
