However, it is a function of the society to provide equal opportunity to everyone, which our government has sucked at big time. Just the fact that everyone seems to think it is the government's job to make jobs is a major malfunction of this society.
You know the Peter Principle, you rise to your level of incompetence. It is true, meritocracy takes us to where we fail, where it is just too much to handle. Recognition by managers is critical to keep it at a minimum. People should be able to reach up as far as they can though.
Letting the government make those decisions is what needs to stop, my solution is pure capitalism, where the market runs the show and people have the opportunity to excel to their limits.
