Respectfully, "democrat" party not 'democratic" party...a mistake too often made. Not going to argue about the dumbing down of America, but also think it is a mistake to dismiss it as simply 'dumbness.' Dumbness suggests that there could be a possible cure (say, a dose of smartness or the 'right' information). Instead I would posit that the reasons for Harris support are far more complex and difficult to unravel. There is virtue signaling, there is feminist brainwashing--which is so strong that I don't think it can be undone for decades. The financial motive you suggest in your final words is, equally, huge. Graft and scams that have infiltrated every local, county and state governments--as well as all the people receiving some sort of dole or government paycheck--the sheer numbers of self interest alone are enormous.....

Naw, that's just some bullshit made up by Bob Dole as a talking point in his 1996 presidential campaign -- and I consider it a stupid talking point. The "Democratic Party" is fine as a label. Don't argue about that here.

You are right to call me out. I wrote the comment and then later looked it up after someone kindly suggested, without stating so implicitly, that I was wrong. I mistakenly picked up that notion somewhere--didn't know it originated with Dole.

I don't remember who first used the term "democrat party" instead of "democratic party"; but I think that name for the Progressive pro-crime racist party is more descriptive of the current organization. To suggest that the party that cheated Bernie Sanders in 2016 and 2020, the same party that discriminated against Hillary in 2008 and is dominated by "Super Delegates" has anything to do with democracy is a lie.

In fact, I could come up with a dozen names for that political party that are more descriptive of their actual essence than "Democrat".

Bernie caved & sold his soul to the ghouls. Makes him worse than the thieves imo. He’s at the top of the hypocrite pile.

There is a lot of room on top of that pile. If Adam Schiff is not pardoned, we will learn for certain what an evil creature he is. Certainly, Hillary is worse than Bernie. I have to believe that at one time the old Socialist had values and independent thoughts.

Don't you think it can be simplified down to: "stupid or evil?"

I see what you mean, but I still think it is far more complicated. I know people who read a lot and think a lot and still are just wrong. And sometimes wrong from the best motives--misguided. And I often ask myself where the sprocket stopped hitting the chain with them.

My wife has a relative who would have voted for Trump, but voted for Kamala instead because she heard that the Democrats were going to give her free Ozempic if they won. That, to me, appears to be equal parts stupid and evil.

Unfortunately that idiot is allowed to vote

Yes, an IQ test in order to vote would be nice.

Agreed!

"And sometimes wrong from the best motives--misguided."

That's just plain old being stupid.

As you wish. I can't get too up in arms justifying their various forms of crazy. My cousin is one. She calls herself a Republican but has a gay daughter and thinks that somehow Trump supporters are full of hate for gays. I was trying to follow her logic but couldn't and in those instances I know I am in stupid land.

It's one of his great faults, but Trump is the most gay-friendly president in history. Either he or Reagan.
